Common name(s): Frosted sea slug, Alabaster nudibranch, White-lined Dirona

Family: Dironidae

Located in the Eastern Pacific ocean (coasts of America -> Alaska to San Diego) or the Western Pacific ocean (Russia, Japan)

Habitats are usually on rocks, but it isn't unknown to see them in mud. May also be found on docks and pilings.

They can vary in colours. Common characteritics are translucent body with white outlines on the edges.

Being carnivorous, they feed on bryozoans, crustaceans, hydroids, ascidians, and snails.

hi! I saw this ask on another blog, and thought it was pretty cool! what would the RO’s idle animations be? (apologies if already asked)

Hi there, this is such a fun question! I wish I could do any kind of art to try to showcase these better... 🥹

Blade: I feel like his default idle animation/pose would be him just standing alertly and stoically at attention, but occasionally an NPC or someone would pass him by on the street and he would briefly touch his sword while his head turned to follow them/scan them for potential threats LOL

Trouble: after a while of standing normally, he'd switch standing with his hands in the back of his pockets, rocking back on his heels slightly, sort of dawdling/moseying as he waits. Occasionally he'd pull a cigarette out of the case he keeps in the jacket pocket close to his chest, light it, and take a drag for a while, and then eventually before drop it, grind it under his boot, and go back to being idle

Tallys: her default pose would be both composed but also vaguely unimpressed and somewhat remote from her immediate surroundings, as if she's just observing things from a distance but isn't really that engaged, but occasionally I imagine her catching a falling leaf out of thin air and staring at it in contemplation before letting it fly away on the breeze... Occasionally I could also see her eyeing a passerby more suspiciously and 'casually' checking the dagger at her belt!

Shery: standing with her hands clasped primly in front of her or behind, or possibly with a clipboard clutched to her chest while she stood and waited patiently for whatever was about to happen. eventually she'd start to sway!

Riel: I think he'd either start off standing at a very precise power pose with his cane positioned smartly between his legs (or something even more extra), or he'd be standing with one arm folded and his hand on his chin, if that makes any sense! And occasionally he'd either pull out like a notepad or a sheaf of paperwork and just start busily scribbling away before going back to the idle stance again, or he'd fidget with his sleeves and straighten his suit and smarten up various aspects of his clothes lol.

Chase: I can't really find a reference for this, but I imagine his default stance would be characteristically very loose, relaxed, spry, sprightly, nonchalant... and, because he's so fully of energy, it would cycle between a few different animations of him looking brightly around (implied to be scouting for fun things to steal), taking out a coin from his pocket and rolling it around his fingers out of boredom, stretching his arms above his head to give his back a good stretch, and occasionally, if you left him standing there for half an hour, he'd start bouncing around on the balls of his feet and shadow-boxing!

Red: I imagine him standing politely and attentively at attention, taking in his surroundings and absorbing things in a fairly normal idle animation, occasionally cracking open a book to look something up or sneak in a bit of reading while he waited, but I also crack up at the thought that occasionally he would just randomly crouch and intently look at something on the ground with a magnifying glass or something LMAO

Ayla: she'd mostly be standing with her arms folded and her shoulders hunched protectively, a suspicious scowl or unimpressed look on her face, but occasionally she'd take her wind staff off of her back and start twirling it around out of boredom, sort of like Aang in Avatar: The Last Airbender!

Halek: I initially thought he'd be standing with a slouch, hands in his pockets as he essentially loafed while standing up, and occasionally the animation would cycle to show him covering a yawn with one hand, but I looked up 'lazy pose reference' and I'm dying at the idea of him either trying to melt into the nearest wall or just like straight up sitting down if there was a surface near enough to allow it

Briony: she has a lot of energy, so her idle animations would rotate between getting bored and looking at the ground, then remembering where she was, and then hurriedly straightening back to attention; stretching/warming up her muscles; or occasionally striking a little cheer/battle pose mid-thought, like she was thinking about something and then was like 'no wait, what am I worried about, I got this! ' Or is telling you, the player, not to worry, she's got this! ✨

Lavinet: she's obviously going to have the most confident and elegant standing pose imaginable, and then occasionally she'd either snap open her fan and flutter it idly in thought, or very occasionally, she'd whip open a compact mirror and check her hair and makeup before putting it away and returning to idle stance, lol!
