Oh hey today's 8-8-25..! I don't have a specific drawing for today's 'anniversary' so I thought I'd post this instead

This drawing is sort of correlated with the ask... though I was thinking it could be some sort of alternate universe where Harley died, but Yarnaby didn't. Yarnaby is left all alone to wonder why the bots won't wake up anymore 🥺 side note why did I turn a wholesome ask into a sad au 😭😭

so i got this ask and unfortunately it disintegrated from the inbox but i have a screenshot so i can still kind of answer it 😎

i made a design for kissy pre-experiment!! i know she might canonically look like the kid in the photo she holds in ch3, but i wanted to make my own version anyways.

she's doing the nervous arm rubbing thing she does in the game, and i thought the long hair made her look kinda shy. the blonde hair is supposed to represent the yellow in her gloves, the fuzzy shoes represent the fur and the bow represents the um.. bow.. 🥺 i might draw more human designs next to their experiment forms, even the non-orphan ones 👀 might do a few redesigns too. i wonder who should be next..

i started this drawing before chapter 4 came out but i recently finished up a few things so i can finally share it 🥺 the pictures on the wall were fun to add, the one with theo and prototype being outside is so bittersweet though 😭 i could've probably made the room messier now that i think about it, maybe ill do that in a future drawing. i had to give theo some catnap merch bc im sure he's a big fan. he's such a jolly little guy, i hope nothing bad happens to him! hey wait... you don't think the poster is foreshadowing anything do you...?

Since we'll probably gonna get merch of 1006 soon, imagine if they did one of those figure sets that each come with an extra part to make bonus figure. It fits with the idea of him being an amalgamation of salvaged parts.

it would only be fitting for mommy longlegs' figure to come with a prototype arm, and maybe his legs could come with doey's box 😭😭 although what would come in catnap's box then... also when i wrote "body can detach" it's in the "killed by the meatgrinder at the end of ch2" type of way

One headcanon I have about ppt is that 1006 rewired the critter cutouts to reference their deaths purely to screw with Poppy, Doey, & the others because I think he's that petty.

id like to imagine prototype had just recorded the dogday dying audio the moment we turned to run away, then he made a sprint upstairs to the cutout and frantically rewired it to add the screaming before escaping down the slide just as we got there (he can't let us see him because he wants to stay cool and mysterious). i mean.. how else did that cutout predict the prolonged dying screams of dogday...?

Is your design for 1006 inspired by goldendiamond? It's cool and all with the one red eye and wires prying both eye sockets open.

oh for sure!! their design was the first fan interpretation i'd seen of prototype (back when they did their first video), though i also got inspiration from some other things if you've ever seen the half life 2 zombie with the burnt face, that was main the reference for the colors (and a few facial features too). some other things that inspired mine are below here (in order: lights out short film, the kid and the camera, tigers, rockafire explosion animatronics, goldendiamond, portrait of god, age of ultron, bearded vultures and the electric state). theres more but these are the ones i remember. i only started actively using the rockafire explosion rubber masks for inspo a while after i initially designed him tho

btw if you're curious how i used the fairy from the kid and the camera, i thought his design was so uncanny because of the long mouth (kind of like the bearded vulture) so that's where i found inspiration there. ultron was more of a vibe thing, but im pretty sure his neck at one point looks a tad like the one i draw on prototype

OKAY ANYWAYS IM ABOUT TO TALK ABOUT THE VIDEO MOB JUST POSTED. THERE'S A NOTE ON HARLEY'S MONITOR THAT SAYS TO KEEP AN EYE ON 3 EXPERIMENTS, THOSE BEING: DOEY, KISSY AND 1007. WHO IS THE THIRD INDIVIDUAL IN THAT GROUP?? POPPY!!

ive had this theory since last year but its basically confirmed, cuz its the only person that COULD be. also prototype is 1006, the prototype of HER. elliot switched from rats to something bigger, but why would he risk using his daughter first? the prototype was the first attempt, and it clearly worked, which is why poppy is 1007. and like i already said, the fact the other 2 mentioned in the note are doey and kissy, it all makes sense. harley is to keep an eye on the safe haven group. thank u for listening to my ted talk ill be out now

also extra evidence if u need it: at the end of ch4 prototype says "it's always been about you and me, poppy" which further suggests they were made at the same time. i'm seeing people say she had to come before prototype because she says the experiments started because of her, but this can be explained away by the fact that prototype is a proof of concept, made up (most likely) of scrap metal, and poppy is an actual COMPLETED polished experiment. THAT'S why they started because of her. because her existence proved to the scientists that it was more than just the beginning stages of the process that could be completed, but that people could have their entire bodies transferred

thought i'd mention that if you play the game at the intended speed during the sequence where u escape the foundation, it takes exactly 1 minute for prototype to escape from doey's sight, steal the bombs, run to safe haven, plant them, and blow it up. ONE MINUTE. HE'S FAST AS HELL. we're so cooked heres a video showing it 😢

im gonna toss out a prediction abt what a ch5 trailer might look like 😈 (also sorry for not posting for a month)

ok so for the ch4 yarnaby trailer we got a direct continuation of where we left off in ch3. i have a feeling we won't be getting anything like that for ch5, at least not initially. i anticipate the opening scene of ch5 to be either

the red smoke we see at the end successfully knocks us out. we wake up in a new location (having been taken there by someone else) and the game begins there instead of where ch4 ended

we have to escape the room we were in at the end of ch4 before the red smoke takes effect. maybe once we get the door open, huggy breaks down the entrance which starts a chase (it'll be funny if he falls down a pit at the end of the chase)

the one where we get taken could work for a teaser, but i've got something different in mind that could be pretty cool for a trailer

rq IM GONNA LAY OUT SOME ASSUMPTIONS. i'm not sure if ch5 is the last, i've always assumed it would be. i don't know how and why there would be a need for ch6. i'm also assuming that the prototype will be the main villain of this chapter and at one point or another will have his design revealed

OK SO FOR MY PITCH..

before prototype blew us up poppy ran off. that tunnel/vent thing she ran into probably leads back to the prison and prototype is going to find her before he starts looking for us, which leads me to my idea... how awesome sauce would it be if we get a cinematic trailer of the encounter she has with him? i have no doubt he's going to catch her eventually, so it'd be really cool to actually SEE it. they wouldn't have to reveal his full design, maybe just his eyes or a tiny portion of his face in the dark (that'd be fucking terrifying 😭 wtf). keep in mind this would be posted after the arg, which honestly might reveal partially what he looks like

ALSO RELATED TO HOW HIS DESIGN SHOULD BE REVEALED... i think he should be revealed in a cinematic trailer, NOT the game NOR a gameplay trailer. ofc u could show him in both of those things, but i think the initial reveal should be given its own trailer

the reason for this is because there's no good way to show off the model in-game. there's a lot of things that could go wrong. if it isn't a cutscene with a forced camera perspective the player might not even be looking. their graphics could be on low which would dampen the reveal as well. if it's a chase or a boss fight we wouldn't have any time to get a good look at him either.

a gameplay trailer would obviously force you to look at him but i don't think it'd do him enough justice. considering how important he is, you probably want the reveal to be the main focus and everything leading up to it would cater to that. there'd need to be proper build up which is why a cinematic trailer just sort of works better in this instance

ik it would kind of "spoil" it, but i don't see any benefit to having that reveal in-game. ofc, even if you did a full reveal in a trailer, that doesn't mean we have to see him in the light. this works better bc you get to be VERY specific about what you do and don't show. the lighting, sound design, camera work; all of it gets to be fine tuned

anywho its hard to see the text on the walls with the shadows, so here's the drawing without those layers

ch4 spoilers and a bit of a rant below!!

okay yall i wanna make a pitch.. so i personally thought ch4 was really good but i see some ppl say it wasnt scary and i think i know why. there wasn't a focal villain following u which is part of it, but in this chapter we also had a lot of allies. i think ch5 is guaranteed to be scarier cuz it's basically just us and the prototype (as of what we know rn). ollie was prototype, poppy is probably kidnapped LMAAO and kissy is super injured, so we have to fend for ourselves

anyways onto my pitch. i think if ch4 was to be scarier there'd need to be a stronger emphasis on harley throughout the whole chapter and (here it comes) no safe haven.. HEAR ME OUT.

safe haven would still exist, it's just that we would have found it already destroyed. this would mean we meet doey after we find it and ollie would be the main one helping us thru puzzles as he did in ch3. maybe leading up to us finding safe haven, he keeps talking about how great it is and how we need to get there, but once we do, we find that everyone has been massacred.

this would make the "it was me the whole time muahaha" reveal darker at the end of the game, because (in this ver of ch4) prototype would've been pretending as if he hadn't personally gone in there and brutally murdered a bunch of innocents. bro was acting like he had no idea it was destroyed 😭

it would also make doey a bit more unhinged because we would be finding him after he's lost everyone. he'd be an ally, but scarier bc he seems like he might turn on us at any moment.

also in this ver of ch4 doey wouldn't be the final battle, harley would. i have an entire revamp of ch4 actually.. it's just sitting in my docs. it goes into more detail on how other stuff would be changed but i didn't post it cuz i didn't want to seem like i dont like the game 😢 idk if i should post it, it's like 3.6k words long

oh also heres the sketch of this drawing. im kinda bummed out that the back legs were lost in translation when i did the lineart 😭 hard to tell which ones the left one

art i made a bit ago of my prototype fan design, particularly the face. i wanted to practice his eyes and mouth!! i've shown my fb design of him before but i think i'm going to redraw it soon

i dont assume he'll look anything like this but i like giving him saber teeth 🥺

if you're curious about what i base him off of, these are the references i use when i draw him. he was only initially inspired by tigers, but i went in later and added the bearded vultures, owls, and crow. he's not really owl-like but he has the hairline type thing going on and i like to imagine him turning his head at unnatural angles 😭

also i keep trying to draw his full body and dayumn that shit is tough 😭😭😭 i keep thinking that i can draw his poses based off of a 4 legged animal when i, in fact, can not do that..

MOMMY LONGLEGS AS PAPYRUS!

so mommy and papyrus have similar builds, they also have gloves and big shoes.. they both put the player thru puzzles/games (the text next to her is actual papyrus dialogue) and i think their personalities just kinda match up, esp if catnap is sans. mommy def sees him as lazy 😭 should i draw dr gaster next? i feel like yall already know who i'll turn that into LOL
