Not a Burden:
Summary: Billie gets sick
Warnings: angst, fluff 🥺
——————————————————————————
The sudden sound of the doorbell ringing makes you jump a bit and you hurry to open the door. There stands Finneas , who has his hands wrapped around your girlfriend’s arm in an effort to keep her standing on his two feet.
“Hey, baby,” Billie murmurs, trying to play it off by giving you one of her signature grins. But she looks not all well. You coo and lead the two of them inside.
“On the couch, Finneas,” you instruct, to which the man nodded. As Billie lies down, you take off her shoes and socks, setting them on the ground. With a groggy ‘thank you’, Billie closes her eyes and quickly dozes off to sleep.
“What happened?” You ask Finneas, stepping outside to his car.
“She told me she felt weird. Then she grew pale— paler than usual— and said she needed to sit down. And then I called you,” he explains, worry and concern for his sister evident in his voice. “Is she going to be okay?”
“I sure hope so,” you say and then you embrace him. “Thank you for bringing her, Finneas.”
He smiles. “Of course. If there’s anything you guys need, let me know.”
You thank Finneas and go back inside. Billie is still asleep. It gives you some relief to see your girlfriend fast asleep, soft snores escaping her plump lips, eyes fluttering as she dreamed. You sit down and push her luscious hair back. You then lean in and kiss her forehead but you quickly pull away when you feel how warm she is.
“Oh, Bills,” you whisper, touching her forehead with your hand, and then her cheeks.
You go to the bathroom and grab a towelette. After running it over some cold water, you squeeze off the excess, take the thermometer from the medicine cabinet and return to the living room. You find Billie starting to wake up, groaning and barely keeping her eyes open.
“Y/N,” she whimpers, and you smile sadly as you sit down again. She sighs in relief the moment the cool rag is laid on top of her head. “Thank you, mama.”
“Of course,” you say softly.
Throughout the afternoon and into the evening you take care of Billie; taking her temperature every hour, giving her some medicine and water, and making sure that she was comfortable. Dinner times rolls around and you decide to make some soup for Billie. Earlier she’s refused to eat anything and you abided by her wishes but you were not going to just let her starve. You serve the soup into two bowls— one for you and one for Billie— and go back to the living room with the bowls in either hand. You set the bowls down on the coffee table and sit down on the couch. Poor Billie had been sleeping for most of the day, and you feel bad for waking her up but she has to eat something.
“Billie,” you whisper, gently shaking her shoulder. “Wake up, baby. I brought you some soup.”
She mumbles something incoherently and you can’t help but giggle a bit. You shake her shoulder a bit more. It takes a little for Billie to come to.
“Y/N… I don’t feel so good,” Billie groans and she grimaces at the sight of the soup. “I’m not hungry.”
“Please, Bills, you must eat,” you practically beg her. You dip the spoon into the bowl and bring it to her lips. “Just a bite. Please? For me?”
After a beat of silence, Billie groans again and obliges. You wipe her mouth after she eats the spoonful of soup and kiss her cheek. She is still so warm.
“Another one, Bills,” you encourage, dipping the spoon into the soup again. “Just one more.”
She eats it without protest. But after the third spoonful of soup, Billie doesn’t want anymore. You don’t blame her.
“I’m cold, Y/N,” Billie groans, bringing her knees up.
“But you’re still burning up, my love,” you sigh, touching her cheeks. You hate seeing Billie like this. It made your heart hurt to see such a vibrant and energetic woman like your girlfriend completely out of it. “We should take you to the doctor tomorrow. They’ll be able to do more than I could for you.”
“Don’t say that, baby.” Billie smiles weakly. “I wouldn’t want anyone else taking care of me.”
You coo, her sweet words making your heart melt. “I love you, Billie.”
“I love you too,” she murmurs.
You then glance at the clock. “It’s almost ten. Let me get you your last medicine for tonight and then we can go to bed.” You pause. Billie was in no condition to leave the couch. And you couldn’t carry Billie to your shared bedroom even if you tried.
“I can make it, Y/N,” your girlfriend insists, already trying to get up. You quickly wrap your arm around her, careful not to let her fall. She wobbles a little bit and you tighten your grip on her.
“Are you sure?” you ask cautiously. “It’s okay, Bills. You can sleep on the couch and I can sleep on the floor.”
She pouts adorably. “What, no cuddles?”
“Billie,” you say with a sigh. “I don’t want the both of us to get sick.”
“I’ll take care of you if you do,” Billie promises, giving you a pout.
You chuckle. “Oh, alright.”
With your help, Billie makes it to the bedroom. After you help her into the bed, you quickly change out of your clothes and brush your teeth. You slip under the covers and wrap your arms around Billie, who melts into your touch with her head on your chest and her limbs tangled with yours. You make sure that Billie falls asleep before you do.
Sometime during the night, you wake up… and Billie is not in bed with you.
Immediately you get out of bed. You see light coming out from the bathroom and you get a bad feeling. You hurry over and gasp when you see your girlfriend sitting down on the floor, her cheeks flushed as she pants heavily whilst covered in sweat.
“Billie!” Your voice cracks and you feel tears starting to form in the brims of your eyes. “We need to get you to the hospital. Now.”
Billie doesn’t protest. It takes all your strength to get her off the floor and lead her to the car. You turn the air on high and drive to the hospital, running a few red lights in the process, but you don’t care. Billie needed help.
You arrive at the hospital and help Billie get inside to the triage center. After giving her information and symptoms, the two of you sit down and a nurse calls for Billie sooner than you except. The nurse has your girlfriend sit on a wheelchair and you follow her to a room. Another nurse enters the room, greeting the both of you with a tired but warm smile, before helping Billie onto the bed.
All you can do is watch as the nurses evaluate Billie. Soon she is hooked up to the monitor and her arm has tubes with clear liquid in them piercing through her precious milky skin. You watch her on the bed in her blissful state and you fight the urge to close your eyes and sleep. Just when you are about to give in, you hear Billie’s voice calling for you.
“Y/N,” she says softly and a smile of relief spreads across your face when you see her sitting up, reaching for you. She is not as pale as before and she looks much better already. “Come here, baby.”
“Oh, Billie,” you whisper and immediately wrap your arms around her. “Do you feel better, my love?”
“Yeah, I do,” she replies, kissing the top of your head.
“Do you remember what happened?” you ask, pushing her damp hair away from her face and she nods.
“I remember getting up to go to the bathroom,” she begins, her eyebrows knit as she tries to think back. “And the next thing I know, I’m on the floor. I remember you saying my name. From there, I don’t remember anything else.”
You sigh softly. “Why didn’t you wake me? I could’ve helped you, Bills.”
“You’ve been taking care of me all day, and you needed your rest. I didn’t want to be a burden,” she replies softly, looking down as she said the last sentence.
“Billie…” You gently lift her head up so that she looks at you. “My sweet Billie. You’re never a burden. It’s my job to take care of you. Please don’t ever think that way ever again. I love you so much.”
“I love you, too, baby girl,” Billie murmurs and kisses your lips sweetly. She then scoots over and lifts up the bedsheet. “Lay down, Y/N. It’s my turn to take care of you now.”

Slow Down, Cowboy (Part 3)
Paring: Billy the Kid (Tom Blyth) x reader
Word Count: 2.3k
Warnings: Mentions of violence, blood, injury, some angst and suggestive phrasing, and LOTS of fluff!!!
Synopsis: Billy gets injured in a fight. Reader is there to take care of him.
A/N: Part 3!! There will be one more part after this! Veeeery fluffy. I loved writing this and I hope you enjoy reading it. Thank you!! Please leave me requests on what to write next 🥰
Part 1: Here; Part 2: Here
Part 3: Touch Starved
You and Billy promised to see each other tomorrow, like every night. Only tomorrow had come and you hadn’t seen him.
The later and later it got, the more and more you looked at the door every time you heard the bell ring, and even when it didn’t. You tried to quiet the worrying in the back of your mind, but it nagged at you all night while you were working. You tried asking Billy’s gang if they knew where he was, only to get shrugs and murmurs of “Not sure, ma’am.”
You had closed up the saloon like normal and headed upstairs to your bedroom to get some shut eye. There were some perks of living just above the saloon: no commute, rent paid for itself. There were some drawbacks too, like living in a public building that everyone knew the location of. It had never been a problem before.
Just as you had settled in to bed to sleep, you heard someone banging on the door downstairs.
You didn’t get up until you heard the banging several more times, the knocks getting closer and closer together, the person landing them becoming increasingly impatient. This had never happened before, your safety never threatened by a stranger for as long as you’d worked in and lived above the saloon. No one knew you lived above the bar. No one except… Billy!
You leaped out of bed, throwing a thin robe over your satin nightgown and lighting a candle to take downstairs with you. You galloped down the stairs, setting the candle on the bar as you strode over to the door and unlocked it as quickly as you could. Billy was standing in the dark with his head hung low, shivering from the cold.
“Billy! Where on earth have you been?! Get in here, it’s freezing!” You grabbed his wrist, tugging him inside. You didn’t notice it while you looked for passersby, but Billy winced in pain after you threw him inside. You locked the door with a quick flick and ran around the saloon, shutting all the blinds for some privacy, leaving only the light from your candle to illuminate the space around you and Billy.
“I was wonderin’ where you were all night. Scared me half to death showin’ up now, but I’m glad to see you, anyway,” you said to Billy, walking around the bar to get him a drink. It was just habit at this point.
The only sound being made was that of you pouring the light amber liquid into the bottom heavy glass. When Billy didn’t say anything, you grew even more worried. He was quiet, sure, but not with you. He stood where you had left him, in the middle of the saloon surrounded by empty chairs and bare tables, not making a sound, his eyes on the floor. You walked around to face him, drink in hand, setting it on the table next to you.
“Billy? Everything all right?” He still wouldn’t make eye contact with you. You furrowed your eyebrows in confusion and worry, gently reaching out to place your thumb and forefinger under Billy’s chin, slowly lifting his face to force his eyes to finally meet yours. Although there was next to no lighting, as you looked at him, there was no way you could miss his busted lip, a cut above his eye that was still bleeding, and that same eye threatening to bruise black and purple. You gasped in shock. “Oh Billy, what happened?” Again, Billy only offered you silence. You let out a troubled sigh. “Here, let me clean you up.”
You grabbed his hand and led him closer to the bar, sitting him down in a chair while you rounded the counter to grab supplies. Drunk patrons were regularly getting injured as they sank further and further into their cups over the long hours of the night, so you always had the necessities on hand. Namely iodine, gauze, bandages, and of course, plenty of alcohol to sterilize wounds. You also made up a bowl of warm water and fetched a clean rag before you turned your attention back to Billy. You set the supplies you gathered up onto the counter and made your way over to Billy, bringing the candlelight with you to get a better look at him.
You gasped again as you brought the light closer to his face. He looked worse than your initial assessment led you to believe. Wasting no more time, you began to work, first using the rag and warm water to clean the wounds as best as you could, trying not to make it hurt any more than it already did. You gently dabbed at the cut on Billy’s lip, removing the dried blood and revealing a faint slice in his bottom lip. It should heal without worry. It was a different story when it came to the cut above Billy’s eye. He noticeably winced when you started to clean it. “I’m sorry, darlin’. This is a nasty one.” You spoke sweetly as you worked. “It’s okay,” Billy said softly.
You prompted him to tell you what happened. “Now, are you gonna tell me how you ended up like this or are you gonna keep a lady wonderin’, who you also left waitin’?” There was a whisper of a smile on your lips as you asked Billy to tell you what happened, using a soft tone but one that conveyed to him that you needed an answer. Billy met your eyes and gave you a half smile, nodding as he said, “Once you’ve cleaned me up, I will. You look so pretty, I just don’t wanna miss anything.” Billy said shyly, his gaze traveling all across your face and down your body.
You quickly realized how under dressed you were for the occasion, the thin material of your nightgown and robe leaving little to the imagination. Your long wavy hair was not in its usual ponytail, which is how Billy always saw you. You blushed remembering this fact as well as realizing you didn’t have any undergarments on. You swallowed the butterflies swarming in your throat and nodded your head, paying attention to his wounds. You had cleaned up all of the fresh blood with warm water and moved to sterilizing the wounds. “If that’s what you want. But this is gonna sting,” you cautioned Billy, motioning to the clear vodka and dry rag you were planning to use. Billy looked at the vodka and then at you, nodding his head before taking his bottom lip under his teeth to brace for the pain.
When the alcohol hit his lip, Billy hissed but could tolerate it. You then began to address the cut above his eye, which continued to bleed. He yelped and banged his fist on the table. You moved quickly and gently so as to not prolong the pain for him. “I’m sorry! There, all done.” You put the dirty rags, water, and alcohol back on the counter before assessing his wounds again. Billy’s eyes searched your face while you examined the damage. Your hair had fallen into your face while you tended to his wounds, a long strand of wavy hair covering your eye and caressing your cheek. Billy tentatively reaching out to tuck the hair back behind your ear. You blushed, meeting his eyes and thanking him before turning your attention back to the cut above his eye.
“This one is gonna need stitches, I’m afraid,” you told him. “But I can’t bend down like this anymore. Here, stand up.” Billy did as he was told, standing up and turning around, watching you as you moved behind the bar again to get more supplies. You pulled out a makeshift suture kit, made up of a sewing needle and thick wire-like material along with some clean alcohol, and more gauze.
“Help me up onto the counter, would ya?” You asked Billy. He tilted his head to the side, confusion coloring his stare. “Since you’re so freakin’ tall, I figure I could sit up here while you stand and I stitch you up. That ok?” You asked him innocently. Billy nodded and gulped, hesitant to move closer to you. His hands moved to slowly grip your waist and hoist you up onto the counter with ease. “Thank you, cowboy. Much better.” You gave him a smile which he returned. “My pleasure, ma’am.” His gaze then dropped, and regretfully so, because in the process of placing you onto the counter, your night gown had ridden up slightly to reveal the soft skin above your knees. Billy cursed under his breath when he also noticed that your robe had dropped off your shoulder, too, leaving only a thin strap of satin.
You set up your tools to stitch the wound and turned your attention back to him. He was standing too far away. “Well, how am I supposed to stitch you up with you all the way over there? Come here, I don’t bite.” Billy hesitantly took a few steps towards you, seeming bashful all of a sudden. You remembered your lack of clothing compared to his and blushed again. Deciding to fully embrace the circumstances of the situation rather than hide, you grabbed one of his belt loops and gently tugged him closer to where you sat on the counter. Your legs were spread apart slightly so he could stand between them, your nightgown hiking up even more to reveal even more soft skin of your thighs as you did so. It took all of Billy’s strength to keep his hands to himself. Contemplating what to do with them for a moment, he settled on resting his hands on the counter on either side of your thighs, his thumbs threatening to play with the lacy edges of your night gown.
“That’s better. Now, look at me and tell me what happened,” you asked softly as you began to work on stitching him up. Billy recounted the story as best as he could in between winces from the stitches and being distracted by your beauty. His eyes traveling everywhere: your eyes, nose, lips, collarbones, hair. Every part of you looked so soft. He wanted to run his fingertips over it all. He had never seen a woman so beautiful, so innocent and wanted to commit everything he observed to memory.
“The guys and I went on a usual outin’, only this one wasn’t in our favor. It got ugly real fast. Most of the guys made it out without a scratch. I was just about to leave when one of those farmers said he knows you. Said he comes in here as much as I do, lookin’ for you. Said some disgustin’ things about you that made my blood boil. I wasn’t thinkin’. I saw red and ran at him. He got in a few good punches and got me with his knife before I knocked him out. Came right over here so I could protect you, if he tried anythin’, that damn son of a bitch.”
By the time Billy had finished his story, he had become so passionate that his jaw was clenched and he was gripping your thigh. You had finished stitching him up and dabbed some iodine on the wound, covering it with gauze. Satisfied wjth your work, you put your tools down and placed your hand over his that was digging into your thigh. Now having realized what he was doing as he told his story, he immediately released you, jerking his hand back and dropping his gaze to his feet. “I- I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to. I was so mad when I heard him talkin’. Guess I got mad again just tellin’ you.”
You shook your head at him, moving both of your hands to cup his face and bring his eyes up to meet yours. You ran your thumbs across his cheekbones in a soothing manner. “Billy, I’m sorry that I got you into this. No more fightin’ guys over me, you hear?” Billy looked at you incredulously. He held your wrists as he stared into your eyes. “How can I not? You are the most beautiful, kind, smart woman I have ever had the pleasure of knowin’. Too pure for this earth. And I’ll be damned if I let another man talk about you like that. Especially to me. You hear?” You couldn’t help but chuckle has he used your own words against you. “I can’t argue with that,” you told him. “Good,” he said, smiling at you. He reached out to run his fingers through the ends of your hair, which ran all the way down to your lower back. His hand brushed against your waist before settling back down on the counter again.
You mustered up the courage to ask him a question you had been wondering all night. “Why are you afraid to touch my body, Billy?” You asked him plainly, searching his eyes and only being met with shyness and adoration. Billy was taken aback by your question. “I guess I just didn’t want you thinkin’ I was takin’ advantage of you, sittin’ here and lookin’ all pretty like that. A gentleman never assumes that a lady wants to be touched by him.” Billy’s consideration made your heart soar. You smiled, shaking your head in disbelief at the kindness in his heart. You reached out to grab his hands, placing them around your waist. Billy let them rest there, but you could feel that he was still hesitant. He wasn’t getting the message, bless his heart.
You wrapped your arms around his shoulders, pulling him as close to you as the bar counter would allow. Staring into his eyes, you confessed, “Billy, the only person I want to touch me is you.” And you kissed him.

Minutes.
But it felt like hours.
And you didn’t want it to be over.
Judging by the hold he had on you, calloused hands grabbing onto your flesh like a man-starved, neither did he.
This was all he ever wanted. Ever since the day you flagged him over when your car broke down. Even when you were a bitch to him. Even when you rolled your pretty eyes at him. Even when you left him. All he fucking wanted was you.
Always just out of his grasp, close but never close enough. And this? This was a dream come true. Fucking explosions and butterflies in your stomach type of shit that Eddie always mocked, that you always mocked.
That scar in his heart that scabbed at the mention of you. Healed. All gone. One kiss from you and it was all back to normal.
“Eddie!” A booming yell echoed in everyone else’s ears but you.
“Jesus fucking Christ, I swear I’m gonna kill him, Eddie where the fuck are you?”
Was that… Gareth?
If Gareth fucking ruined this for him, he was going to hang him by his balls, up on the wall, make sure he could never fucking—
“Eddie!”
And you pulled away, first, Eddie was going to fucking kill him now. A vivid torture method flashed across his mind. Even the adorable flustered look on your face as you drew a breath wasn’t enough to calm him down.
“I—I think your set is about to-”
“Fuck the set,” Eddie spat, his veins still pumping with the need for you. Brain hazy, he was never going to get enough of you, was he? A hunger that was never going to be sated.
The lingering gaze was interrupted by Gareth, scoffing while he dragged Eddie away, ignoring the threats and the cusses that left his lips, the same gentle ones that were just stuck on yours, the sweetest taste, from the filthiest mouth.
You really needed to shut your goddamn brain up. But how could you?
His body was turned toward you, shirt stretched out—you did have a tight hold on him. Pale lips now a bit shiny from your candy gloss, stretched into the widest grin, eyes glinting with something you’ve never seen in him before. You couldn’t quite put your finger on it.
But it was beautiful. He was pretty. Tempting.
-
You could barely comprehend Eddie’s words when his gaze on you was that striking. “We’re Corroded Coffin, thank you and goodnight.” Slipped past your ears, you didn’t care, you needed him.
What happens now?
Lingered in your mind, you wanted him to rush to you like you’re in a fucking rom-com, lock your lips in a dizzying kiss, again, you didn’t fucking care. You wanted more. You needed more.
You could feel the eyes of everyone, including Steve’s impatient nail-biting, dying to know what the fuck happened between the two of you. Yet they didn’t dare to ask you until Jonathan and Nancy had left since the rehearsal dinner was tomorrow. And ever since they were gone, Robin and Steve had been teasing you nonstop, trying to make you crack.
Clearly, something had gone down, and the co-dependent idiots had to know.
“He looks like he’s going to eat you.” Steve hummed, making you roll your eyes at him.
You were about to give him a smart-ass answer, but of course, he didn’t let you. “I bet if I laid one hand on you, he’d end up here in seconds.” Steve barked out a laugh, Robin joining him as you threw them a dead-set glare.
“It’s not like that—we haven’t—he won’t.” Your frustration was interrupted by a grinning Steve.
“Oh, yeah?” Steve teased, his hand quick to brush away the strand of hair away from your face, fingertips gently brushing against your cheeks, making heat flutter to your cheeks.
“Steve!” you protested, your gaze widening as you chided him, while Robin playfully counted down from ten by your other side.
Steve ignored your protests, throwing an arm over your shoulder and pulling you into a side hug. You attempted to push him off with a scoff, but he was relentless.
“Three… Two…” Robin's counting came to a halt, and your childish squabble with Steve ceased as a deep voice interrupted.
“Mind if I borrow her for a bit?” The metalhead’s gravelly voice cut through the air, his gaze shooting daggers at Steve, who only smirked, much to Eddie's obvious dismay.
“Eight seconds,” Steve murmured in your ear, you could almost feel his stupid smirk forming on your ear shell, prompting a huff from you.
“She’s all yours, man,” Steve chuckled, releasing his hold and retreating with Robin, leaving the two of you alone. Eddie scoffed at Steve's retreating figure before turning his attention to you.
“What’s their damage?” His brows scrunched together as he watched Steve and Robin walk away, engrossed in their hushed gossip.
“Do you have all day?” You asked with a roll of your eyes, earning a chuckle from him.
He liked this, he loved this, he missed this. Easy banter, shared laughter.
“So… you goin’ home?” Eddie asked, nonchalant, like his heart wasn’t thumping in his chest each time you stole a glance at him.
You nodded, keeping it simple, almost avoiding his gaze. His exaggerated reaction, a spat-out “What?” made you giggle. A melody he could never have enough of.
“Well, the night’s almost over, so…”
“Come with me,” He muttered, amber gaze like silk as it connected with yours.
“Where?”
“Mi casa es yours or whatever the saying goes.” He grinned.
With a huff, “Yeah, I don’t think that’s a good idea,” you muttered.
“Why?”
“You know why.” You enunciated.
He raised a brow, “Enlighten me.”
“I—It’s late.”
“So? That never stopped us before.” He shrugged, seemingly unfazed.
“Oh, c’mon Pinky,” he coaxed, “we never end nights this early, at least not until we’re a couple more joints in, smushed on the couch, putting on some old horror movie… I thought we were revisiting the past.” He hummed, puppy dog eyes staring at your soul. Shit.
You shouldn’t. You fucking shouldn’t.
“Are you really gonna say no to gettin’ high with me, sweetheart?”
Sweetheart. Sweetheart. Sweetheart.
A nickname you had heard so many times before. Yet, it was different, the way it rolled off his lips making you almost jump in place.
“Okay,” you gulped, physically. Fuck.
He grinned, taking you by hand, fuck all, while you waved a shy goodbye to Robin and Steve, who watched it all with an all-knowing grin.
“Pay up,” Steve turned to Robin with his palm in front of her.
Robin snorted, “No fucking way.”
“Trust the process, Robin. Trust the fucking process.” Steve huffed, watching the two of you leave hand-in-hand.
-
As the two of you entered the familiar house, the sight of it brought enough memories that made you feel light-headed, a repository of memories flooded in your mind.
“Is Wayne around?” you inquired, breaking the silence that clung to the space. Eddie, leading the way, answered nonchalantly, “Nah. At his girlfriend’s.”
Your eyes widened. “Wait what? Wayne has a girlfriend?” You exclaimed.
“Uh-huh, Hannah.”
“Oh! That’s great!”
“Yeah, he’s having sleepovers with her like a fucking teenager, I told him to ask her to move in, but he’s too chicken shit,” he scoffed.
“Oh, come on.” You elbowed him playfully, “Be nice to him, he deserves this,” you said with a smile.
He nodded in agreement, “He does.” Then turned to you. “You want anything to drink?” You shook your head.
You didn’t know why, and you didn’t know how, but a shyness appeared within you, propping up your elbows as you leaned against the kitchen counter, watching him intently.
With a shrug, he opened the fridge, taking out a Schlitz, gaze on you dangerous when he popped it open with his teeth, barking a chuckle when you squirmed at the sudden, sharp sound.
“Fidgety much?” He grinned, that damn dimple taking its place on the corner of his mouth, making all sorts of warmth flush to your cheeks, making you feel so timid under his gaze.
You could sense the cockiness radiating off of him, it was addicting, and it was making you feel more and more shy under him. Because both of you knew why you were here, at two fucking A.M., dismissing everyone else, flirting and bickering all the way home.
Yet, since you entered the familiar trailer, you had been silent. Because you knew, you fucking knew that kiss changed everything. But this would seal it. Another step forward. A territory the two of you had never crossed before.
And your mind was not being kind to you, screaming at you to stop, to run, to not fucking do this, because you’d end up hurt, because someway somehow he’d end up hurting too, but Eddie wasn’t having any of it.
Your silence made him cockier and cockier, drawing you in more and more. And if he kept it up, you knew even your idiotic abandonment issues wouldn’t be enough to stop you from jumping on him.
You wanted this, all your mind could replay was his fingers on that damn guitar, the way his mouth popped open that damn can of beer, the way his stupid plushy lips curled into a smirk. Shaggy bangs fell onto his forehead when he leaned on the counter, arms flexing with it.
Stop fucking thinking about it.
“You gonna answer me or what, sweetheart?”
“Huh?”
“Jesus, you okay?” He asked, concerned, cornering you in the kitchen with his soft hazel eyes.
Fuck.
“Mhmm,” you hummed.
“You don’t seem okay.”
“‘M f-fine!” You answered too quickly and meekly for that to be the truth.
“Don’t tell me you’re still mad at me.”
Yes. No. Yes. No. I think I crave you more than I’m mad at you, but I can’t let you know that, your thoughts swirled.
“I thought—”
You interrupted all quippily, “Thought what? That kissing me would suddenly undo everything?”
“No…” He sighed, “I thought I proved myself to you.”
“You did, but that doesn’t undo it.”
“Well, I forgave you.”
You scoffed. “You know forgiving me doesn’t mean shit if you bring it up every time I tell you you did something wrong, right?”
Crossing his arms against his chest, “Can you blame me?” He muttered, almost defeated.
“What would you do? If I up and left, would you just forgive me? Would you just trust me and act like it was all okay?” He tensed, words spilling out of his mouth like venom.
And you narrowed your gaze, returning it back to him. “What would you do if I kissed Jason? I asked you that, yet you never answered. Would you still kiss me? Would you still write notes for me, knowing that Jason’s slimy lips were brushing—“
He was quick to wave his hands in front of your face, grimacing just at the thought. “Stop! Just fucking stop!”
“What, too much for you?” You spat.
“Of course, it’s too much for me! T—the thought of him, anyone, being with you… makes me sick to my stomach.”
“Good, then I think we’re even!” You suggested.
“Even?” He scoffed, “Is that all you fuckin’ care about?” He retorted, making you huff, once again.
“God, no! I just—I just mean we both did fucked up shit and from this point on we either move on, or we never talk to each other again, which we can’t seem to do!” You snapped, that anger from before had disappeared though, the kiss had softened things. Softened you.
“Okay, then let’s just move on!” He took a step toward you, getting close again. So fucking close.
You took a step back, your back hitting the marble counter, yet you remained on your angry stance. “Fine by me!” You retorted, all hastily.
“That’s fine by me too!” He agreed, towering over you, trying to one-up you.
“Good!” And, of fucking course you returned the energy. Stubbornness is exactly what defined the two of you, babbling like a bunch of kids over nothing.
Eddie didn’t hesitate to take another step toward you, this time, both his hands on the marble kitchen counter, fully cornering you, as he grinned. “Great!”
And you were about to answer, about to one-up him, like he did with you… but then you looked at him, really looked at him.
Looked at how fucking close he was to you, and you shuddered a deep breath, getting caught up in your throat when it reminded you of the kiss.
And that’s when Eddie realized it.
You weren’t really mad at him.
At least not really, not since the kiss.
You were nervous… because he was standing this close to you.
A piece of dangerous information for Eddie—someone who had been in love with you since you were teens, to acquire, because it’d turn him into an arrogant fuck in a matter of seconds—even more so than he ever was.
“Oh.” The realization hit him like a ton of bricks, he was grinning like a devil now.
“What?” You furrowed your brows, trying to have that annoyed stance from before, but it wasn’t working.
“Why are you looking at me like—”
He was quick to interrupt, face inches away from yours. “You’re not mad, at least not that much, you’re… nervous.” He grinned.
“N—nervous? Why would I be nervous?”
“Because of me.” That stupid smirk on his lips returned
“Don’t be ridiculous—”
“What happened to that Pinky who refused to talk to me today? Who told me we couldn’t do this? Did one kiss soften you up this much?” He quipped, making you scoff.
“You know what? You’re an asshole.” You sneered.
“There she is.”
“When did you become this cocky, Munson?” You narrowed your gaze.
“I was always an arrogant fuck, sweetheart. But I’d say the kiss helped, like a fuck ton, and you squirming now, too.” He shrugged, like what he just said was no big deal, like how close he was to you didn’t make you gulp nervously.
You almost gasped, offended, like it wasn’t the truth. “I’m not fucking squirming—”
“Look at you… shuddering a breath just because I’m this close to you.” He barked out a chuckle, gaze dangerous, dare you say… lustful.
“Fuck you,” You spat, feeling small under his bashful gaze, cheeks heating.
“Well, I’m trying sweetheart,” He was quick, you had to give him that, making heat grow everywhere in your body, but especially within your thighs now, fuck, he was smooth.
And you weren’t willing to put up a fight, or a front, you wanted—needed him. You couldn’t deny yourself him any longer, not even your commitment issues were enough to hold you off.
“You’re s—such a little shit,” You stuttered, embarrassingly so.
God, you wanted to wipe his smirk off by kissing him, you wanted to feel his honey-flavored lips on yours again, you wanted to feel his lips twitch against yours instead of the air.
And he was close again, all in your face, all you had to do was lean a little bit and his lips would be on yours.
“And you’re an absolute pain in my—”
Fuck it.
You fisted his stupid shirt, crashing your lips down to his, dizzying, just as magnetic as before, but needier. His lips still tasted the sweetest, yet mixed with the bitter taste of the beer on his tongue made you grow weak in the knees.
You were about to open your mouth fully, to feel his greedy tongue on yours, but much to your surprise, Eddie pulled away, making you whine.
“Wait—” He faltered.
“What?”
“Do you want this?” He asked
“Yes!” Your voice raised an octave.
“Tell me you want this.” His gaze was serious.
“I do,” you breathed.
He scoffed. “No, I wanna hear you say it.”
“Eddie—”
“I wanna hear you, or we can just pretend like none of it happened, I can forget the kiss we can just sit around here and—”
I want to know if you’re in this as much as I am, is what he meant.
“Jesus you’re so fucking—” You scoffed, but he actually backed away, your eyes widening at him.
“W—wait!” You pleaded.
An awaiting grin sat on his lips and you rolled your eyes at him.
“Of course I want this, Eddie. I’ve wanted you for five fucking years, I wanted you the moment I laid eyes on you—okay wait maybe that’s a lie because you really were annoying the first time we met but I wanted, no, I want you—”
His mouth crashed against yours, interrupting you in the best fucking way. His lips felt warm, hot almost. Skin burning everywhere where he touched you, leaving goosebumps in its wake.
“So eager, princess, already begging for me, hmm?” He taunted, making you roll your eyes in an instant.
“Just shut up you, asshole.” He grinned, mouth crashing down on yours once again. Much more gentle this time, but rough enough to have your chests pressed together.
His lips only left yours to be reattached to your neck, leaving a trail of kisses from your chin to your cheekbone. “‘M sorry, sweetheart, I just can help myself you’re so—” He mumbled, voice muffled by your skin.
He lifted you up, strong hands meeting behind your waist in one harsh move, making you yelp before you wrapped your legs around him, he kissed you like he never had before, all teeth, and no mercy, passionate yet still gentle in somefucking way.
He pivoted while trying to get to his bedroom, making you chuckle into the kiss, pining you against the wall, and it was all so desperate and messy. And just so you.
You wanted to discard your dress but he wanted to rip it off, wanted to grab onto your flesh, and feel you, completely. Drink you in.
He stumbled inside his room, knocking over a few boxes, and sending them over to the other side of his room. Not that either of you cared enough to break the kiss, at least until Eddie plopped you down on the bed, a grin overtaking his lips at the sight of you.
“You’re so pretty, so fucking beautiful and just—” He took a deep breath, words were failing him, his entire being captivated by you.
His mind was spiraling, cheeks almost a salmon pink. Eddie had sex countless times before, but none of them meant anything. None of them left him this speechless, none of them made him nervous. It was like his first time, the way his breath got caught in his throat, cock stirring at how pretty you looked, stomach fluttering at how he was on top of you.
“You have no idea how long I wanted to do this. How long I’ve wanted you… How perfect you really are.” He towered above you, and your breaths mingled, bodies tied, chests pressed against one another.
You wanted to joke around and tease him like he did with you, but you couldn’t help the flutters in your stomach. All you cared about was whether he thought if all of that was. Did he really see you like that?
“You mean that?” You asked, almost shy, wanting to hide your face, but he just gave you a scoff, like it was the most unbelievable thing ever.
It was to him.
“‘Course I do, Jesus, Pinky I basically worshipped—” He placed a soft kiss on your lips. “The ground you walked on.”
You drew in a breath, “I—I wanted you just as much.”
“Fuck, sweetheart,” he groaned.
“Don’t say things like that,” he warned, shaking his head. Did you not know the hold you had on him? Even still? He was wrapped around your finger, always has been. Always would be.
“Don’t think I’ll be able to control myself.”
“Then, don’t, please, Eddie, I want you, more than anything.”
That was all he needed, low grunts escaped his lips. He attacked your lips hungrily, desperately, twirling his tongue with yours, needy and passionate.
“Fuck, fuck, fuck,” he cursed, hands meeting behind your back to unclasp your dress, and you helped him get rid of his clothes, your fingers fiddling as they struggled to take his shirt over his head.
It was all messy, stupidly impatient, making both of you giggle while you struggled to get rid of the clothes that were keeping both of your bodies away from each other.
“So impatient,” you mocked with a chuckle, enjoying the way his eyes boggled your body, it wasn’t disrespectful, you didn’t feel the intrusion as you did with every other fucking guy you’ve been with. Just pure appreciation and your stomach flipped with excitement.
Fuck, what was he doing to you?
He drew in a breath when your chest rose up and down, he felt like he was watching a ping-pong match, eyes darting over to every part of your body, he wanted to engrave it in his mind. Have you there forever.
He could barely comprehend it, you, stark naked, on his bed. Telling him you wanted him, more than anything. And you looked perfect. Fucking perfect. More than he could ever imagine. All those years he spent thinking about you.
The girls he fucked were always a spitting image of you. It wasn’t a fucking coincidence. He couldn’t get his mind off of you. You made him feel out of his head, and fucking finally, it was happening.
Cold rings ghosted over your chest, making you gasp. “So—” His head dove into your breasts, latching his tongue on one nipple. “Fucking—” His hand dove down to your panties, discarding them without care before he ghosted over your slit, still waiting for some approval from you. “Perfect—” He hummed, against your nipples, making you mewl.
“P—please, Eddie,” you muttered, pathetically.
His eyes shot up at you, amber gaze dark, wanting, needing you to tell him exactly what you needed. “Need you to fuck me, please.”
“Baby,” he rasped, jaw almost hung open with how forward you were being. His cock was trapped in his boxers, needing room with the way words fell like silk from your lips. The nicknames were new, especially something like ‘baby’ but it felt so familiar, like the two of you had always been like this. Like the last five years didn’t exist.
This was all the confirmation he needed, his ringed finger met your entrance, and you whimpered at the slight sensation, your entire body burned with need at his one touch.
His soft lips trailed down from your chest to your belly button, tongue leaving nice strokes on his way to your pussy, making you arch your back in desperation.
“Need more, Eddie,” you whined, a pout apparent on your cheeks.
“That desperate, huh?” He grinned, pad of his thumb still toying with your clit, earning gasps out of you. “Haven’t even done much, yet you’re soakin’ my fingers, baby,” he added, that taunting tone making you roll your eyes.
“Arrogant fuck,” your voice came out as a squeak, making him let out a greedy chuckle.
He inserted a finger inside of you, enjoying the gasps he earned. “You know, I always thought that attitude of yours needed a fix?” He hissed, ringed finger curling inside of you, making you squirm at the coldness as you bucked your hips for more.
You didn’t know what took over you, or him. The dirty talk just rolled out of your lips like it was natural like the two of you had been together for the longest time.
It was all the pining, anticipation, and the pent-up desire. And it was making both of you needier by the second.
“Then do it, fuck it out of me.” A low groan echoed in the bedroom, followed by a string of curses, Eddie’s entire body shuddering with it.
His fingers left your clit, hands working their way to slip out of his boxers, a rough expulsion of moan released from his lips when his cock plopped against his stomach, making your mouth water at the sight.
Shit, fuck, shit.
You gulped, jaw almost wide open, making him cockier if that was even possible. His hands jerked at his cock, collecting the bead of pre-cum collected at his hot tip. “Gonna give this to you, is that what you want, sweetheart?” He taunted.
With a nod, you licked your lips, making his cock twitch in his hands. “I’ll fuck the brat out of you, don’t worry, honey.” His hand was about to stroke his cock again, but you were quick to shake your head.
“Let me help,” you hummed, your smile and attitude all disappearing, a glazed look washed over your features as your soft hands fisted his length.
“You’re gonna be the fuckin’ death of me,” he groaned roughly when your fingers stroked his rock-hard cock, until he couldn’t take it anymore and pushed you down on the bed and taking you by surprise before his lips re-attached to yours, hands slightly parted your thighs, teeth clashed together, and nibbling on each other's lips, before he finally, finally guided his cock against your entrance.
Then, he stopped, making you furrow your brows when he reached for his bedside table, and you, unable to wait, were quick to stop him. “No!” His attention snapped back to you.
“Please… I wanna feel you, ‘m on the pill,” you murmured, pupils blown wide, making Eddie curse once again before he blabbed, nervousness spilling out of him.
“O—okay,” He hummed, turning to you with a nervous look, “and just so you know I haven’t had—” Shit, he was going to ruin this.
“I was tested not too long ago and me and Chr—”
“If you finish that sentence I swear to god, I will leave, Munson,” you warned, gaze narrowed and jealousy bitter in your veins.
He scoffed, “I was going to say we haven’t done a—anything, you lunatic,” he wanted to joke, but words rolled out of his lips like a quick ramble. He couldn’t fucking ruin this. But, he had to let you know. You had to know that they didn’t sleep together.
And much to his surprise, with a grin on your lips, “Oh? I don’t know if I can say the same with me and Jame—” your joke was quickly shut up by a dizzying kiss, and his groan turned into a growl, filled with jealousy, making you giggle into the kiss.
Both of you were idiots. Total fucking idiots. Insane. Crazy. But, fuck, did it feel right, like dominos falling into place, this is what it should’ve been.
He dragged you more toward the edge of the bed with his rough hands, finally guiding his cock to your entrance, wiping off that grin from your face, hunger taking over fully.
“You think you’re funny?” He spat, and you nodded all sassily, “Laugh it up, doll. But once I’m done with you, you won’t even remember the names of those other douchebags, I’ll fuckin’ make sure of it.” His arrogance was back, and that smirk played on his lips, shutting you up once again.
He pushed into you without a warning, making you cry out while your eyes squeezed shut at how good he felt. Your pussy wrapped his cock nicely, so warm and tight that Eddie had no fucking idea how he didn’t cum right then and there on the spot, a low groan escaped his lips.
He dropped his head to your shoulder, frantic breathing escaped through his nose as he tried to adjust to how tight you were.
Jesus, fucking Christ.
He had to hold himself off.
Your hands clawed at his back, enjoying the stretch while Eddie pushed himself inside of you at a slow pace, reveling in the way you mewled for him.
Eyes already squeezed shut, mouth slightly open, lashes fluttering the more he drove his cock into you. You looked so beautiful. Ethereal.
He was struggling to comprehend if this was all real. This entire fucking night. From the fight to the kiss to now.
It was always back and forth between the two of you, but more real than anything he ever had.
Pinky.
His Pinky.
He loved you, so so much, that his heart was about to explode, his body felt hot from everywhere you were touching him.
“God, you’re so fuckin’ tight, sweetheart,” he hissed, pace picking up once you finally accommodated his size, eyes rolling to the back of your head.
“Feels s—so good, Eds,” you whimpered. He caught your chin in his hands, tilting your face toward him, making your fuzzy gaze focus on him. “I’ve wanted this for so long. You, wanted you for so long, shit, honey.”
“Tell me…” He muttered, licking the trail to your boobs, sucking on it with a growl. “Tell me that this changes everything. Tell me that we’ll never go back, and I’ll fuck you like you deserve it.”
“E—Eddie,” you stuttered, still struggling to comprehend it when his cock was hitting spots inside of you that you didn’t know existed.
“I…” You sucked in a deep breath, mind feeling mushy before Eddie groaned, tucking his hips back, pulling out of your warm pussy as you gasped at the feeling, just as you were about to whine, beg, he rammed himself deep inside of you, again. A grin appeared on his lips when you cried out in pleasure.
Yet, his movements halted, as if he was giving you a taste of what might happen, and you wanted to cuss him out, tell him to never fucking stop again, cry out, beg for him to continue. Your body felt woozy with how much you needed him to fuck you, how much you desperately needed to cum.
“Everything!” You cried out frantically, “E—Eddie, fuck, I d—don’t ever wanna go back, please…”
That was all he needed to hear. And he simply couldn’t wait any longer, deprive his body of you any fucking longer. His movements picked up with a low grunt, fucking into you roughly and fast, all animalistic as he held onto your hips, leaving bruises all over while he worked on your neck, sucking, marking you.
Pleasure bursted through your body as Eddie’s thick cock dragged along your walls. Both of your eyes locked, emotions gathering in them. Panting as your foreheads connected, thinking the same thing.
Those three little words begged to roll out of both of your plushy lips, yet too scared to ever utter them. His lips crashed down on you again, this time, just so that those three words didn’t escape his mouth, kissing you with such passion that your head grew light.
“Pretty girl,” he breathed into your neck, “my pretty girl,” he growled. His cock was driven by a primal need to make you his, every touch meant something, every time he thrust himself into you, it was deliberate, rough, but gentle in some fucking way.
Shallow breaths escaped your mouths in puffs, as you watched him drive his cock all the way into you, and you tightened up almost immediately, your pussy pulsing around him.
He groaned at the sight of you, mouth hung open, tits bouncing up and down, mewls coming out for him. You looked fucking beautiful, babbling to him about how you were going to cum soon.
He pressed his middle finger to your clit, drawing quick circles as you whined for him, he was fucking good, and you could feel your walls swelling as you yelled out his name.
Your screams were muffled by Eddie’s lips as a wave of pleasure hit you like a ton of bricks and the second you came undone on his cock, he fucking lost it. His groans grew guttural as he spilled his load inside of you, falling on top of you with a contented sigh as he made sure every drop of him was stuffed into your walls.
Ragged breaths filled the room as Eddie slumped next to you, and you stared at the walls, a smile curved on your lips when the drawings you gave him were still there.
“You still have that?”
“Of course.” His fingertips traced a delicate path along the canvas of your skin, gentle, and warm, pulling away that strand of hair that was hiding your pretty features, a smile formed on his lips, his gaze on you so soft that you almost melted into him. “I told you… your art matters, it’s the very reason, I am where I am.”
As his words hung in the air, you looked up at him, and he gazed down at you. In that shared gaze, both of you knew. No words were exchanged, yet the depth of your connection bridged any gap.
Three words. Eight letters.
You should say it, you should tell him first. Let him know, that you love him, always have, always will. Your lips, poised in anticipation, hovered let him now, to utter those words.
But he interrupted, a subtle pull drawing you closer into the cocoon of his embrace. “W—We should go to sleep… hell of a day ahead of us.” He cleared his throat, fingertips weaved through the strands of your hair, caressing it.
A day ahead of us. Us. Us. Us.
It’s promising, so fucking promising. Peaceful. Everything you asked for. Yet, it scared you, because it was good. All of it was almost too good to be true.
But you wanted to shut that part of your brain off. No, because you weren’t going to ruin this for yourself again, you weren’t.
You hummed into his chest agreeingly, the vibrations resonating into his chest, his scent enveloped you, fully, completely.
And each gentle stroke of his fingertips through your hair was like a lullaby, making you give yourself into the security of his presence. It only took a handful of caresses for you to give into the sweet desire of sleep, nestled against his warmth.
-
You woke up next to a void spot in the bed. The morning sun burst through the lazily taped windows of Eddie's room, forcing you to squint against its intrusive rays.
A languid groan escaped your lips as you reluctantly left the warmth of the bed, lazily throwing on one of Eddie’s shirts as it hung well over your knees, making your way to the kitchen as you called out for him.
Silence greeted you.
You checked the fridge, hoping for a note, a hastily scribbled message, anything that might explain why he was gone.
But nothing.
At this point, your mind hadn't erupted into full-blown panic; there was no reason for it, or let your intrusive thoughts kick in, no, they were wrong, they had to be wrong.
There was no way he’d leave you, he wanted this himself. He invited you over.
And the two of you were supposed to go to the rehearsal dinner early. To help Jonathan and Nancy out. There was no way he’d just leave you like this.
Right?
Or maybe he regretted all of it and left in a panic.
You kept telling yourself the same lie until seconds melted into minutes, and eventually into hours.
And then, it finally dawned on you.
Eddie didn’t leave a note because he didn’t want to see you.
He regretted everything.
That's why he left you.

And all that I have
Part 8 of my Accidentally on Purpose Series
Warnings: Smut (18+), cockwarming, conversations about CNC (consensual non-consent) play, kink discussions, talks about non-consensual kinks, toxic relationship, conversations about burglary, insecurities, angst, obsession with reader, mild body insecurity. Charred the dove and the dove kinda liked it.
Disclaimer: I want to be clear that although the conversations are centred around non-consent, the entire thing is completely consensual, if reader was uncomfortable, the conversation would stop. They are discussing a scene they plan to do in the future, so be warned that this will come up later in this series.
You loved him.
You knew it now, without a doubt.
You’re gazing at him from your spot at your desk, peeking over your laptop so that it’s not obvious to him that you’re staring.
You watch him scratch at his eyebrow, deep in thought as he reads the report on his desk. You feel your stomach flip as he squints for a second, no doubt reading something he disagrees with on the page.
He runs the backs of his fingers over his cheek, scratching at his beard, deep in thought, unaware that just a little distance away, you’re admiring him with every piece of your heart.
Whatever you had felt for anyone else before was nothing compared to what you were feeling for him right now. Your relationship with Dominic had been nothing but a shell, hollow, it had been filled with moments of self- doubt, separated by spaces of indifference that you’d tried to convince yourself was happiness. But it wasn’t, it wasn’t contentment or satisfaction or delight. Being with Dominic had been nothing but a mediocre meal when you were starving, only perceived as amazing because you were unfed.
Now, with Billy, you knew what it was like to really feel.
“Billy.” You say softly, watching him blink and raise his head. He gives you a tired smile.
“Yeah?”
“I’m bored.”
The corner of his lip twitches before it pulls up into a smile.
He looks down at his report before looking back up at you.
“Feeling for anything in particular?”
You study him for a moment, before closing your eyes.
“It’s been two weeks since we last had sex-”
“Two weeks and six days…” He pauses when you open your eyes to look at him curiously, “...To be exact, but,” He clears his throat, “who’s counting?”
You can’t help planting your face in your hands and letting out a little laugh.
“Fine, it’s been two weeks and six days, and there’s still about a week left before we can- and I really want a distraction from it.”
He swallows, nodding eagerly, in full agreement with your words.
“I get it," Billy agrees, and you watch him drop his papers onto the desk with a decisive thump, "It's been actual hell to not be able to follow through with any of the things I want to do to you."
You give him an amused raise of your eyebrows, a slow feeling of delight spreading in your abdomen. You take a slow breath to help ease the feeling.
“Well, that didn’t help distract me, just made me want you more.”
The look on his face is one of pure mischief.
“Oops.” Is his only response.
You blink at his audacity.
“You know,” You say, pushing yourself to a stand, “You really shouldn’t tease, there’s no chance of you winning this.” You advise, moving toward him. You don’t stop till you’re leaning against his desk.
You take your time, moving his phone and staple remover out of the way, and when it’s just papers, you lie down on his desk, smiling proudly as you turn to face him.
The muscle in his jaw jumps as he clenches his teeth, eyes skimming your body as you lie on his desk, knees bent for comfort. After a moment, the pins in your hair begin to stick your scalp and you grunt as you unpin your hair and let it splay across his reports.
“Everytime you tease me, I play this game in my head where I come up with payback.” He says, eyes fixed on you, “At the rate you’re going, you’re not gonna be able to walk after.”
You smile at him, your only response is to raise one hand, and undo the top button of your shirt.
His eyes follow the movement.
“I doubt,” You hum undoing another button, “That you’d be able to last long after four weeks of no sex.”
“Maybe not.” He sighs, “But I’ll find a way.”
When you reach for a third button, his hand reaches up to cover yours.
"Mercy." He whispers finally, "You're pretty, and I want you and I don't know how much more of this I can take."
"Poor baby." You tease.
He grunts out a laugh, closes his eyes and shakes his head.
"God, you're really in for it when I’m fully healed."
“What am I in for?” You tease, tugging your shirt open as wide as possible.
He looks up, as if asking a higher being for his sanity back.
“You really wanna know? It might scare you.”
“God I hope it does.”
He groans, low in the back of his throat.
“Alright. I’ll tell you.” He looks down at you again, the back of his fingers tracing over your cheek softly.
You smile, closing your eyes as he touches you softly.
“I want to tie you to our bed, and use you whenever I want. I want to leave that sweet little cunt dripping with my come.”
He lets out a soft sigh, his thumb tracing over your lips gently.
“I want to… rent a cabin in the woods, and chase you, make you run, play with you and when I catch you- I want to make you regret running.”
You swallow, excitement swells like a wave within you.
“I’d love that.” You confess to him softly, “Make me regret running from you, sir.”
You watch his throat bob as he swallows, his eyes a hue of darkness you’ve never seen before.
His fingers slip down your chin, tracing its way over your jaw.
“I didn’t expect you to be so… open about this.”
Maybe I'm just right for you, you think helplessly.
You smile up at him.
“I’ve always wanted to explore that side of myself, but Nic wasn’t very accommodating, so I hid those desires from him. But I’ve… I've wanted to be touched the ways you want to touch me for a long time.”
You think about the last time you’s asked Dominic to choke you- he’d done it so poorly, despite the way it had intensified your orgasm, and then he’d never done it again, it was like he wasn’t willing to learn what really got you off, so why would you ever try to push him further, or ask him for more?
Billy grips your jaw tightly, pulling you back into the present, into his dark, hungry eyes.
“Let’s come up with something, that we can,” His tongue darts out to swipe at his bottom lip eagerly, “do together.”
You feel a smile creep onto your face.
“Of course, Mister Russo.”
He leans in, his lips meeting yours softly, contradicting the rough implications of his words.
“Come sit on my lap.” He offers when he finally breaks from the kiss, and you nod easily, rising from his desk, giggling when you feel some papers stick to your arms. He helps you remove them, and then guides you into sitting on his lap, your legs being tossed over one of the arms of his chair.
“Will this even hold us?” You ask, resting your cheek against his chest.
He wraps an arm around you, humming an affirmative.
“Am I hurting you?” You check next, worried.
“Not at all, Mrs. Russo.” He murmurs, kissing the top of your head, “Now, tell me about your limits.”
You smile, looking down, playing with your fingers.
“I’m not that into anal, or hitting. Those are hard limits. I like being spanked.”
Billy hums in acknowledgement, his arm on your knee to keep you steady.
“What about slapping?”
You feel your insides clench.
You shake your head, looking up at him.
He smiles, the hand on your knee moving up to cup your cheek.
“So you like small amounts of pain? But nothing harder than a spank?”
“Yeah.” you answer, breathless at the conversation. No one had ever made you feel this comfortable and safe talking about topics like this.
“I like being scared.” You offer up, “I wanna be scared into acting like a good girl.”
He makes a low sound in the back of his throat.
“God you’re so fucking hot.”
You giggle in disbelief.
“What about pet names? I know you like the nice ones, but what about degrading ones?”
“I like ‘slut,’” You offer, “But not ‘bitch’ or ‘whore.’”
You groan when a thought pops into your mind.
“Literally, I think calling me your little plaything would make me see stars.”
His laugh is deep and alluring.
“What about you?” You ask, desperate to hear him affirm your desires with his own, “Tell me some things you like.”
“The idea of forced breeding is nice,” He starts, and you nod eagerly, already obsessed with that idea, held down and made to take his cum, being teased about having his kids. It makes your skin flush with heat.
“I have- uhhhhh-” He hesitates, and you adjust yourself to watch him carefully.
“Sorry, fuck, it’s embarrassing to say.” He mutters, and you realise that maybe he needs some reassurance.
You raise your hand, cupping his cheek, loving the feel of his coarse beard against your hand. You trail lower, fingers caressing his neck, before you try to slip your fingers under the collar of his button up shirt.
“You can literally tell me anything. I won’t run, I promise.”
He goes still, looking up at you, something unnameable in his eyes. After a moment, he blinks, looking down.
“I have a little fantasy about being a thief, maybe you have something valuable I want. Maybe it’s not what you think it is.”
You swallow, nodding your head eagerly, thinking about what it would be like to find him rifling through your home, touching things that weren't his to touch. You think about the way he’d grab you, about the way he’d lean in to kiss you harshly, the way he’d rip at your clothes-
“T-that’s a nice idea.” You whisper hoarsely.
You think about him all masked up and taking you on the floor of your home. You shift a little in discomfort caused by your definite arousal.
“I can't- I really need to be inside you.” He rushes out.
“Couch?” You offer, and then you slip off of his lap when he nods.
While he settles himself, you reach up under your skirt, pulling your panties down the length of your legs, smiling when you catch him staring at you.
You carefully climb onto him, reaching to undo his belt, the sound of it making you more and more aroused.
“You're so fucking beautiful.” He whispers, and you glance up at him feeling a little shy under his obsidian gaze.
“Thanks.” You whisper, your voice so soft that you barely hear it.
The back of his hand traces your cheek.
“Do you need help?” He asks, and you manage to be amused at the question, considering how absolutely wet you were between your thighs.
You shake your head, clenching when you finally get his cock free, giving him a few gentle strokes that has him groaning and dropping his head back.
He's so big, heavy in your hand, you love the slight curve of him, the wideness.
“Ready?” You ask, and he raises his head to look at you.
“If you are.” He says, voice pained.
You lean in, pressing a kiss to his lips before raising your hips to guide his thick cock to your entrance.
His head falls back again, his breathing shallow as he stares wide-eyed at the ceiling.
When you start slowly sinking down on him, you watch him suck in a deep breath, his hands gripping harshly at the couch.
“You're so wet, sweetheart. Fuck.” Billy exclaims, finally able to look at you once more.
You clench around him, your prolonged denial in support of his, claws at the walls inside your mind.
You feel a pinch of pain, the size of him stretching you open but you pay it no mind, your wetness makes taking him in so much easier.
Your eyelids flutter as you sink down onto him fully, you bite your lip harshly when the head of his cock presses firmly to your cervix.
“Oh my god.” You groan, panting, unable to comprehend the world around you with his cock so deep within you.
Before him, you weren't so desperate. You could usually go a month without sex without any problem at all, now though, Billy made lasting four weeks the biggest challenge.
He stays perfectly still, But you can't help yourself, making micromovements on his cock, rolling your hips a little just so you can feel something more.
“Princess.” He warns, and then groans loudly when he feels you clench hard around him in response. He loses himself for a moment, rolling his hips into you, before he grits his teeth, stopping his motions.
“You've never called me that one before.” You purr, trying to distract him while keep your body still.
His hands grip your thighs, blunt fingers pressing into your skin, sliding up to grip your ass harshly.
“It's cause I've got you so spoiled right now.” He hisses, "Couldn't tell you no if I wanted to.”
It makes you clench down on his cock a second time. You watch your own desperation mirror itself in his expression.
“You're so big, Mister Russo.” You moan, gripping his shoulders to keep your body steady.
You take a deep breath, trying to calm yourself, to relax the vise grip your cunt has around his stiff erection.
Billy has always thought of himself as a man with great strength, but it's in this very moment, he learns precisely how weak he is. Watching his gorgeous, breathtaking wife, try her best to sit still on his cock, brings out a darkness in him, gives him ideas of what exactly he's going to do the moment he can.
No woman has ever felt as good as you, and he knows no woman ever will.
You're having your own debate in your head at the same time, wondering how you're going to last another week without him fucking you into oblivion.
“Tell me what you want to do to me.” You plead, eyes squeezed shut to hide from him.
He doesn't speak for a moment, the only sound filling the room is both of your laboured breaths.
“I want to see you submit to me completely.”
You squeeze your eyes tighter, nodding.
I want that too.
“And I don't care how hard it is, or how long it takes, I want to fuck you until you're just my messy pile of wife, no brain at all.”
You whine, a low sound in the back of your throat, you can almost taste the pleasure on your tongue as if it’s something physical.
You roll your hips, feeling him inside you, the grip of his hands on your ass tightens.
Your eyes meet his, half lidded, panting and desperate as you gaze at one another, you know that it wouldn't take much to get you off, and you're trying your hardest not to, you really really want to support him this way.
It makes you a true mess, aroused beyond thought. You can see it in his eyes too, delirious yearning looking right back at you.
“What else?” You ask, needing to know the exact ways he wanted to unravel you.
He licks his bottom lip.
“I wanna fill you up, watch my come drip right out of you with the number of times I come inside you.”
“Yeah? M-maybe you can… use a plug if you get tired of watching your cum drip out.”
The sound he makes next is nothing short of a gowl, pulling you closer until your noses brush, You swear there's a fire in his eyes that you've never seen before.
“I can't stop picturing it,” he whispers roughly, one hand leaving your ass, trailing around to your front. You cry out when the tips of his fingers press to your aching clit, “The way you'll look when I'm done with you, passed out of course, my come messy between your thighs, I'll ask you if you're okay and you wouldn't be able to do anything more than make a little sound.” You tilt your head to the side when his finger begins rubbing softly at your swollen bud, he doesn't take kindly to the movement, his other hand reaching to grip the back of your head, forcing you back to him, “Maybe I'd keep fucking you. Even when you're out cold I could still fill you. You'd be so far gone you wouldn't even want me to stop.”
You nod, whining, knowing that you'd let him do anything he wanted so long as he was doing it to you.
“I know how that makes me look- I've been so ashamed of this side of me, but I want this, every little bit of it, and I want you.” You confess.
“There's nothing wrong with you I promise.” He says, leaning in to kiss you softly, his fingers speeding up their touch on your clit.
You gasp into his mouth.
“S-stop or I'll-” You find that the words evaporate on your tongue.
“You'll what, little wife? Come around my cock? Don't you want to?”
You shake your head violently.
“Not if you can't. Don't make me.”
He drags his fingers away, and you sigh in relief despite the way your body burns, aching for you to just take the edge off.
He kisses you again, harsh and all-consuming, you hum happily, trying to return his passion with a little of your own.
“No more.” He says, and you nod, rising from his cock, your cunt clenching as you get free of him, registering the emptiness, before you feel disappointment immediately follow.
He reaches down, grunting as he wraps his fist around the base of his cock, squeezing in what you can only assume is a method to avoid orgasm.
He’s beautiful, the way his skin is so flushed and his breaths are shallow and you think it’s mostly because of you, and you wonder why on earth would someone like him ever-
You swallow nervously, looking away.
You don’t want to ask, exhausted with your own insecurities to voice them.
Luckily you don’t have to, because at the same time, your cell on your desk starts ringing.
You turn to it, standing, adjusting your skirt before taking the few steps to it. You sigh internally when you see it’s your mother calling.
“Hey mom.” You greet softly.
“Hello. I’ve been sending so many messages. Why haven’t you responded? I thought you were dead.”
You try to hold it in but a laugh comes out against better judgement.
“Dead? Really? Wouldn’t someone have given you a call?”
“Who? Who’s going to call me if you die? Dominic? Your friends? This mysterious husband I have never met that might be the person doing the killing?”
“Why was murder the first thing you thought of?” Humour dripping from your voice.
“Because you’re living with a random stranger and I’m very worried.”
You let out a slow breath.
“I get it mom, I’m sorry I wasn’t able to reply to your messages, I’ve been trying to take care of Billy.”
After a moment, you swear you can hear the anger leave her over the phone.
“Okay well… how is he?”
You feel like you've won something.
“He's doing great, recovering well, that's what the doctor said, a few more weeks and he'll be recovered.”
“That's good to hear. When am I meeting him?”
“Soon.” You promise.
“That's fine. I also have something I want send to you. Can you give me your new mailing address?”
“Yeah, no problem, I'll message it to you.”
She's silent for a long time, and you know she's thinking about saying something terrible to you. You tilt your head back in frustration.
“Mom? You still there?” You ask politely.
“Are you doing okay? Dominic said you gained some weight.”
Your mouth parts in surprise.
“Why are you still talking to him?” You ask in disbelief, looking down at your body automatically. Why did everyone care so much about the way you looked?
“I called him. I wanted to hear his side of the story and to hear more about this Billy guy.”
You stiffen, realising that Billy was still in the room somewhere overhearing this conversation.
“Tell me that you didn't believe a word he said.” You beg.
“Some of it was definitely a lie, I remember when you'd called to tell me you'd broken up, that sounded genuine. I don't think you actually cheated on him, and I know you well enough to know that gold digging isn't your style.”
You smile, “Thank you.”
“But,” she continues, “One thing that confuses me is the custom rings. How did those happen?”
“Um,” you squeeze Your eyes shut, shaking your head, “We um,” Fuck, you didn't know what to say, “We had them made the day after.” You lie.
“Why? Why a stranger? Wouldn't you have tried to get the marriage annulled first?”
Shit.
“Um, we tried and then decided not to on the same day. Hey mom? I gotta go, my next meeting arrived early.”
“Okay, cupcake, talk to you soon.”
“Yeah,” you say with a shaky voice, “Bye, love you.”
You hang up before you can hear her parting words.
You stare at your phone, forgetting how to breathe for a long moment.
When he says your name, you turn quickly, looking at him. You finally find the strength to take in a breath.
“I'm fine. I just need a minute, be right back.” You rush out, walking out the room without a second thought.
You press your hand to the wall outside, taking a few deep breaths. You wanted to hide, to stop being perceived at all.
You glance at Martha, sitting at her desk, typing into her computer. When she senses you looking, she turns her head with a smile.
“Are you doing alright, Mrs. Russo? Do you want me to get you some water?”
Mrs. Russo. That was you.
You straighten.
“I'm okay, thank you though.” You say with a smile, turning in the direction of the elevators.
You press the button for his floor when you're inside, and only after you shift your feet impatiently, do you realize that you're not wearing any panties.
It gives you more confidence if anything, you were just sitting on your husband's cock, and he'd asked you to. He'd called you beautiful, he'd wanted you.
You squeeze your hands into fists, Dominic would not take him from you.
He’s in a meeting, his receptionist says to you, apology in her voice, and when you inquire with who, you find out that it’s just his boss.
You give her a smile, before walking right past her desk and knocking on his door.
You open it without waiting for a response, a smile on your face when you see both men looking at you.
“Sorry to interrupt, but can I please have a moment to speak with Dominic? It’s urgent.”
Both men glance at each other, and you know that his boss would not deny you your request.
“Of course,” The man says, rising from his chair, “We’ll pick this up later.”
Dominic only nods, his face set into harsh lines.
The door closes behind him softly, and you don’t speak for a moment, studying the landscape picture on his wall.
“That day we broke up,” You declare, not turning to look at him yet, “You told me that I wasn’t as pretty as some of your old girlfriends, you told me my laugh was irritating, that my friends annoyed you. You gave me reason upon reason as to why you didn’t like me and why we weren’t a good match, and I’d sat there and apologised to you.”
“Look,” He interjects, “I’m sorry I was so harsh-”
“-I’m not done.” You interrupt, turning to look at him, showing him that there was nothing between you anymore, that he could look into your eyes all he wanted, he would not find the version of you he once knew.
He lets out a breath, raising his eyebrows to seem amused by your intervention.
You didn't care.
“I can’t believe I ever did that, apologise to you for not being what you wanted. If I could go back, I’d tell you to go fuck yourself.”
He blinks, stiffening his shoulders.
“And then, you come back, assuming that I’d forgive you for the shit you said, and get back together with you. But I was never going to, marriage or not, I’d rather be alone forever than spend another minute with you.”
“So stop trying to mess with me, stop trying to destroy my life over something that happened after you broke up with me. You can’t hurt me anymore, and if you try to, I’ll show you exactly what I’m made of.”
You turn to the door, reaching for the handle.
“I love you.” He blurts, making you freeze in place.
You can’t help it, laughing softly at his admission.
You pull his door open, a smile still on your face as you glance back at him.
“You don’t even know the meaning of the word.”
.
“Where’d you go?” Billy asks when he sees you come in a few minutes later.
“To give some closure.” You say with a smile, approaching him, cupping his face in your hands, and leaning in to place a kiss on his lips.
You feel him relax under you, you hum softly at the feeling of it.
“Are you in any pain?”
“A little,” He confesses, “I might have pushed myself a little too much.”
Your eyebrows draw together, worried that you might have hurt him.
“I’m sorry, my full weight-”
“-was perfect. It was the tensing up when I got too close to coming that caused the strain.”
You groan, squeezing your eyes shut, one hand pressing to your tummy.
“Why do you even like me?” You rush out, in disbelief that you were literally making power moves just now, to come back to him with your insecurities.
Maybe power was exhausting to hold on to for you.
“Because I do.” He says softly, with an encouraging tone of voice, “Because you see me.” He’s quiet for a moment, biting the edge of his lip in deep thought.
“Growing up in the system was bad, it was real shitty. I don't think I’ll ever truly recover from the abandonment. I pretend I’m okay, and I pretend that I’m whole but,” He shakes his head, “I’m just pieces on the inside. Broken glass.”
“You make me feel like something more. A mosaic.” He utters, as if the word has just come to mind.
You take in a deep breath, your face contorted into one of sorrow.
I love you, Billy Russo.
You simper, leaning in to kiss him again.
“Let’s go home.” You suggest.
He’s nodding before you can even get the sentence out.
.
The hardest thing is keeping your hands to yourself. You want to touch him all the time, run your fingers through his hair, slide your hands under his t-shirt, gently trace the veins on the back of his hands. You want to smooth your thumbs over his eyebrows and taste his collarbones and you try your best to resist for a couple of reasons.
The first reason is that you don’t want to get him hard- you don’t want to torment him any more than he’s already being tormented. The second reason is because you worry he’ll eventually get annoyed with your insistent touching, that he may find it irritating eventually. The smallest hint that he’s getting annoyed with you might be enough to dissolve you into thin air, you don’t think you’d ever recover from it.
So sometimes you find yourself reaching for him, only to draw back at the last second, hoping he doesn’t see how hard you’re fighting yourself.
You should be more open about it- you know that- he tries so hard to open up to you and the least you can do is respond with the same effort.
And yet, your experience with Dominic lingers.
You and him had been so good at one point too, and the next thing you know, every aspect of you had irritated him.
How long would it take before Billy felt that way too?
This was bad, you had no support system in place, no one to talk to aside from him, no one to tell you that your thoughts were unreasonable. This, this was why staying with him wasn’t sustainable.
You’re lying motionless in the bath when he finds you after excusing himself to take a work call.
You turn when you catch movement, smiling up at him when he approaches. He’s got an apologetic look on his face, one that tells you that he has to leave you alone before he even says it.
“I’m sorry.” He breathes, coming to sit on the edge of the tub, “There’s an issue with our servers and I have to go.”
“It’s 8 p.m.” You state, “You can’t do this tomorrow?”
He shakes his head.
“Some of our guys are at risk without the intel.”
You take a deep breath, giving him your easiest smile. You wanted to fight, but maybe in this moment you didn’t know if you were capable of winning.
“Alright, Billy, I’ll see you later.”
He leans in, kisses the top of your head, then your cheek, and then tilts your head up for a quick kiss.
He leaves the room, and you hear him grab his things before the front door closes.
You close your eyes, letting your body sink below the surface of the water.
.
You sneak out maybe an hour later.
You wait by the door till the guard stationed there gets up to use the bathroom, and then you slip out in your fluffiest coat, making it to the elevator right outside with your heart slamming into your ribs.
Only after the doors close do you realise that you don’t have anything to help you get back inside, and that you should have maybe left a note. No worries though, you know Billy will call once he gets home and finds you gone.
You’d called Martha earlier, and begged her to find the address you were looking for, apologetic for disturbing her evening.
You take a taxi there, and you knock on the door softly once, in the cold air, before realising that you hadn’t knocked loudly enough.
The second time you knock, you hear footsteps, and you suck a deep breath in, smiling at the peephole before you hear the door unlock.
Maria looks concerned, her lovely brunette hair pulled over one shoulder.
“Are you okay?” She says with worry heavy in her tone.
You try to give her a cheerful expression.
“I’m great, I was just a little lonely, Billy left a while ago.”
She opens the door wider to let you in.
“Yeah, Frank left too.”
“I figured,” You admit, “I was wondering if you wouldn’t mind some extra company?”
“Of course! I’m just cleaning up. You can hang your coat over there.” She says, pointing to a place behind you.
You thank her, shedding your coat with minimal difficulty and hanging it on the spot she had pointed to.
You follow her into the kitchen, where she’s mostly done with her dishes, only a few left to dry.
“Can I help?” You offer.
“No, thank you, I’m almost done. I have some leftovers if you want. Chicken parm, or do you want tea or coffee or something?”
You’re a little shy in her presence, trying to pick something easy so that she doesn’t insist.
“Water, for now, though I might pick at your teas later.” You say politely.
She smiles, and you feel so soothed by it, you find yourself smiling back. Not long after, she places a glass of water in front of you. You thank her again, sipping on it gratefully.
“So,” She starts off easily, looking over her shoulder to glance at you while she wipes a pink plate dry, “What brings you here at this hour?”
God, you wanted to tell her the truth, fold like a stack of cards because you didn’t think you could lie to her. For once, you wanted to be honest about your situation.
But you couldn’t. You couldn’t do that to her, and you definitely couldn’t do that to Billy. You’d ruin their friendship if you said anything, you’d ruin his relationship with Frank, he’d hate you for it.
You let out a pained breath.
“All my friends kind of hate me.” You murmur, deep in thought, “and you don’t seem like you’d hate me.”
She nods in understanding.
“Why don’t you tell me everything?” She says easily, and you nod, willing to try.
“My ex- Dominic- we’d been together for two years before we broke up. He works at Anvil, and for a long time I thought I was going to spend forever with him.” You look down into the glass of water, studying the stillness.
“Looking back at it now, I realise how wrong we were together. He never really liked me, I was just a convenience, he only kept me around because it was better than being alone, you know? We took care of each other at first, but somewhere along the way he stopped caring and then any little thing I did pissed him off.”
You watch her finish one plate, reaching for another.
“Our breakup was really brutal, he literally just picked me apart and left me outside my apartment, and then three days later I woke up married to Billy.”
“And you think,” She says, interrupting your thoughts, “That this one is going to end up like your last one.”
“Isn’t it?”
She smiles, shaking her head.
“You wanna know how long I knew Frank before we got married?”
“A reasonable amount of time?” You offer.
She laughs.
“Four months.”
Your eyebrows raise in surprise.
“I’m in no place to judge.”
She grins.
“I got pregnant three months into dating him, and we were married a month later. The first time I met Billy, was stepping on him when I woke up to pee in the middle of the night.” Her shoulders shake as she laughs, remembering the entire story.
“According to Frank, he’d climbed into our small apartment at the time from the fire escape, drunk off his ass, and crashed on the floor before Frank could help him to the couch in the living room. The way Frank says it, he just tossed a sheet over Billy, and stuffed a pillow under his head where he passed out and went back to sleep. I woke up, and stepped on him and he didn’t make a sound,” She laughs,” I screamed though, because there was a random man on the floor and I’d just put my full weight on his leg and he hadn’t made a sound. I thought he was dead.”
You try not to grin at the imagery.
“After some convincing from Frank, I fell asleep, and in the morning both men were gone. Billy… well he didn’t like me at first. He was sure I’d trapped his friend in the marriage or something, but over time, he… honestly he didn’t really warm up to me until I went into labour.”
You sit there, transfixed by her story.
“Frank thinks she came a week early, but she was just on time. He was supposed to get back before she came but something top secret kept him there longer- anyways- Frank called Billy and Billy showed up at my doorstep in maybe ten minutes. Back then, he had this old, beat up Harley- strictly american- you know?” She glances at you as if you’re supposed to understand what she’s saying, but you can only shake your head in confusion.
She grins, “Sorry, he used to be real patriotic, American brands as much as possible,” She shakes her head, “He’s grown out of that since his discharge. Anyway- that was maybe the first day he actually cared about me, held my hand all the way to the delivery room, almost punched a nurse that told him family only. I was so mean to him too, probably almost broke his hand with the contractions. And then Lisa decided to wait, had me in labour for fourteen hours.”
Your eyes widen drastically, mouth dropping open. She laughs when she sees your face, finishing up her last mug to sit next to you.
“Yeah, gave Frank just enough time to get there. And then there were four of us.”
She blinks, smiling, deep in thought.
“Billy was scared of her, he didn’t hold her for at least two months after, he’d somehow worked it into his head that she wouldn’t like him, but one night I got real sick, and while Frank was taking care of me, he’d begged Billy to come over and take care of Lisa. The first time Frank put her in Billy’s arms, she cried, at the top of her lungs. I thought Billy would have given up immediately, but he didn’t, he rocked her in his arms till she was asleep, and even after he held on to her for as long as he physically could.”
“The moral, of my very long story is that Billy isn’t someone who gives up at the first sign of trouble, and he’s definitely not someone that gets annoyed with someone he loves. If he chooses you, he’s going to stick with you. He knows what it’s like to have no one on his side, and because of that, his loyalty is unbreakable.”
Your heart squeezes in your chest. You wanted to know him the way she did. You wanted stories like this to smile at when you thought of him. You wanted to know what he looked like, riding an old era motorbike, and to see him so drunk he can’t make it to a couch.
“I lost all of my friends because of him.” You whisper, heartbroken, “They thought I cheated on Dominic. Friends that I loved, blocked me because they thought I’d done something terrible.”
She reaches to place her hand over yours, squeezing tightly.
“Maybe they weren’t very good friends to begin with.” She suggests softly.
You nod, understanding the point she was trying to get across.
She makes you tea, something calming that makes you sluggish, offers up one of Billy’s old shirts for you to sleep in, and shows you to the guest room. Not once, does she suggest you go back to his home, so easily welcoming, that sleep is attainable within minutes.
Maria, considers for a moment while watching you sleep, that she should tell someone that you’re here. No doubt Billy doesn’t know you left, travelled all the way here by your lonesome. She unlocks her phone, pulls up her husband’s number, and hesitates on the call button. Maybe Billy’s reaction to finding you gone would set the both of you straight.
She grins deviously, putting her phone away and getting ready for bed herself.
.
It’s almost three a.m when Billy gets back home. He’s tired, his shoulders sagging with having to carry the weight of them. His eyes hurt, feels so much discomfort in his whole body that only sleep can provide.
His shower is quick, functional, though the warm water begs him to stay and enjoy it, he gets out as soon as he can, ambling to the closet to grab a pair of comfortable pants for sleeping.
He moves in the dark, working on a memory of where everything is to stop him from making too much noise, not wanting to turn on the lights either, he really doesn’t want to wake you.
In the dark, his bed is deliciously comfortable, he lies on his front, before the area where his appendix was removed screams in protest and he’s forced to roll onto his back. He tucks his body under the soft duvet, feeling a thick sense of coziness overcome him.
He reaches a hand out- won't be fully comfortable until he touches your skin, confirming that you're there. In his drowsy state, he struggles to find you. He groans, moving even closer to where he thinks you are, fingers scanning the bed, only finding chilled sheets. He opens his eyes, squinting at the other side of the bed and sees no shape that even resembles you. You simply weren't here.
Were you sleeping somewhere else?
He sits up, rubbing an eye so that he can see a little more clearly, turning to flip on the bedside lamp to confirm that you really weren't next to him.
Yeah, definitely not in bed.
He stands, sways, groans, pads his way to the living room to find it empty, then searches your office, then his. He says your name, but the only thing that answers is the silence.
He grabs his phone, looking into the almost too bright screen, trying to decipher words that help him find your contact. He squints, pressing the call button before waiting.
Your phone rings and rings and rings and no one answers.
It's then, that Billy begins to feel the panic. He takes a deep breath, calling your number again, searching his house for anything he might have missed, anything at all that tells him where his wife had gone.
He calls for you, all sleep erased from his mind, he does a finer walk through of his place, looking for items out of place, signs of struggle.
If you'd left, someone would have seen you and told him, right?
What if you'd been kidnapped?
Billy feels his lungs seize up.
He looks down at his phone again, hands shaking, opening up the location app he'd installed just in case. He'd told you about it, told you how to disable it if you really didn't want to be found. This would help him narrow down what kind of situation he was in.
He lets a breath out when he sees your little symbol pop up- you'd chosen the image of a black cat for some reason- he zooms out, eyebrows drawing together when he sees where your phone is.
He closes the app, calls Frank.
“Whad'ya want, Russo?” Comes Frank's sleepy voice after a few rings.
“Is my wife in your house?” Billy asks, a lot calmer than he feels.
Frank says your name in question.
“Yes, Frankie, ask Maria.”
He hears some shuffling.
“It's four in the morning Bill, I'm not waking my wife for that, I'll just check the guest bedroom.”
Billy waits, listening to Frank's slow breaths, his hand gripping his phone tightly, his other hand curled into a fist.
“Oh yeah, there she is.”
Billy sags with relief.
You were okay.
“I'm coming.” Billy announces.
“Use your spare, I'm going to bed.” Frank grunts, before ending the call.
Billy grabs his coat and the keys to his fastest car and nothing more, leaving his apartment quickly, wide awake now more than ever.
He breaks every speed limit possible, makes it to Frank's home in half the time it usually takes. His body hurts as he has to move slowly now, quietly so that he doesn’t disturb the peace in the house.
He uses his spare key, locking the door behind him, double checking Frank's security while he's here.
He finds the guest bedroom easily, having stayed here countless times, he knows this place like he knows his own.
His stomach twists, he wonders why you left. Did you not want to be around him? Had something else happened? He knew that the chances of you running away were low, ever since he'd shamelessly listened to the conversation between you and Dominic (He'd bugged the office of course) he'd had an inkling that maybe you were growing to love him as much as he loves you.
The door clicks shut behind him, and he feels a sense of ease wash right over him at the sight of your sleeping form.
He pushes his coat off his shoulders, torso bare underneath as he climbs into bed and hovers over you.
His hands cup your face, waking you with a little start.
“Billy?” You hum, voice so tiny, his little wife disturbed from slumber.
He can't help it, leaning in to kiss you softly, followed by him wrapping his arms around you tightly.
“Why'd you leave home, baby, hmm?” He asks, cheek pressed to the top of your head.
Your voice is muffled in his chest.
“Was lonely.” You say.
It damn near breaks his heart.
“I'm sorry.” He sighs, and he means it with every bone in his body.
“S’alright, you're here now.”
And he is, crawls under the sheets, wraps you in his arms, and feels the stress drip right out of him. Only then, does he allow sleep to take him.
.
He wakes to laughter. He blinks, sitting up, an automatic response to the sound.
Hearing laughter while he slept was never a good sign. In the group home it meant that some poor kid's face was being written on. In the military, it was shaving cream on your hands, or dirt in your bed.
He bolts up, looks around, determines no danger before he relaxes.
He smiles, slips out of bed, and goes in search of one of the shirts he keeps around for situations like these.
.
“Honestly,” Maria says enthusiastically, uncapping the milk she just pulled from the fridge, “I thought we were goners, Billy was still recovering from that gunshot that almost made him bleed out in the desert, and Frank had several grazes, but even injured like that, the burglars never stood a chance.”
Your eyes are wide in suspense.
“Where was Lisa?”
“In bed beside me, Frank shook me awake and we hid in the bathroom. Ten minutes later, he came and got me cause the fight was over.”
“Holy shit, that sounds terrifying. I've had some almost run-ins with burglars as well at my old place.”
“Really? What happened?” Maria asks, really interested, concern in the undertones of her voice.
“It was close to Christmas and almost everyone in the building was out visiting family, but I was studying for an exam the next day for my old job.” You think back to it, deep in thought, “I remember hearing heavy footsteps in the hall, and then the sound of doors shaking. I had my lights off because they’d made my eyes burn and I was just using my lamp lights, so it maybe looked like I wasn’t home. The person was trying each door, shaking them hard. I can still hear the rattle. I texted Nic, and he’d told me to hide, but before I could call the police, the rattling just stopped. I sat in silence for a long time. I was kind of shocked dumb, and I didn’t call the police because it seemed like he left without any real harm being done. I probably should have, but also I really needed to study for this stupid exam. I did tell my landlord though, and she tightened security and it never happened again. I really regret not calling the police though.”
Maria nods, relating to you.
“Fear can really hold you in place. I’m sure whoever it was, got what they deserve, don’t stress about it too much.”
You smile, mimicking her nod. She really understood you, and you find yourself hooked to the Castles just a little bit more.
Just then her smile widens as her eyes flit behind you for just a second.
You turn to look back curiously when suddenly you get pulled into someone’s arms. You know it’s him from the moment you touch, you grin widely at the way he squeezes you.
“Excuse us for a second, Maria,” Billy says, hand gripping your wrist to tug you in the direction of the guest bedroom, “I need a moment with my wife.”
She nods, before remembering something.
“There are kids in the house.” She warns sternly, locking eyes with Billy.
“Wet blanket.” He shoots back as he tugs you around the corner and out of the room.
The door to the guest bedroom can only slink shut before you’re pressed against it. Your eyes fall shut as his mouth meets yours, your heart fluttering so surely that you’re sure it’ll fly soon. He kisses like he’s starving, hands holding your face, mouth eager against yours, you copy his fervour, pulling him closer by the shoulders, the delight of feeling your passion mirrored isn’t lost on you.
You smile up at him happily when the kiss breaks, only for him to drop his head once again, ever eager for just one more kiss.
“Is everything alright?” You whisper softly, confused about his feverish kisses.
“I’m sorry.”
“...For?”
He touches the tip of your nose softly with his.
“Where do I even fucking begin? I’m sorry I left you alone, I’m sorry I made you feel like you had to sneak out, I’m sorry that I’m the reason you have no friends-”
“-That one wasn’t really all you,” You interject, “They didn’t even give me the benefit of the doubt.”
He shakes his head.
“I’m just… sorry for all the pain I put you through.”
You can’t bear to hear him say it, your throat squeezes tight at the very sound of the words.
“It’s alright,” You reassure, rising onto your toes to kiss him, “We’re alright.”
.
You peek at him while he drives, wondering if now was the best time to talk to him.
He catches you looking, raising an eyebrow curiously, eyes turned back to the road.
You think that maybe there’s no time like the present, and you take a deep breath, reaching out for his hand before you catch yourself, moving your hand back to your side.
Before you can get fully there, he reaches out, taking your hand in his. You turn your head to look at him in surprise.
“Notice you’ve been doing that a lot.” He murmurs, tugging your hand up to his mouth so that he can kiss the back of your hand, “Reaching for me and stopping halfway. Making fists with your hands to stop yourself. Why?”
“I just, don’t want to annoy you is all.”
He huffs in amusement, you feel his warm breath on the back of your hand.
“You’re funny.” He hums, giving your hand another kiss.
“I’m serious.” You whisper.
His lips part, eyebrows drawing together as he slows his driving a little to look at you.
“You’re serious?” He echoes, “You think you could annoy me?”
“I think I could annoy a saint.” You grumble.
“You know that I’m… obsessed with you right?”
“Are you? I hadn’t noticed.” You say dryly.
He huffs out a breath of amusement for a second time.
“Do you know what that means? It means I’ve seen your medical records.”
You glance at him, shock running down your spine.
“And?”
“And I’ve done background checks on everyone you’ve ever met.”
You try to swallow but your throat has gone dry.
“And?” You whisper, his hand is still in yours, holding on to you.
“And I know where you went to school, I pulled your student records, I’ve scoured the internet for your face and I’ve probably seen photos of you that maybe you don’t even know existed. I’ve wanted you since the day we met, and nothing could have stopped me,” He turns to look you in the eye, “Not even you.”
“I’m sorry to scare you, but if you think that I don’t know how needy you are, how touch starved, how badly you want to be held, what makes you cry, you’re lying to yourself. I know all of these things, and I want you because of them.”
You close your eyes, trying to process his words in a reasonable way.
God, there had to be something seriously wrong with the both of you. Him, for saying those things, and you, for managing to somehow feel reassured by them, even if there was a little fear mixed in.
You don’t say another word to him the rest of the way back.
There’s a silence all around you as you follow him into the apartment, a whirring in your ear that sounds like waves of static, disconnecting you from reality.
You reach out, gripping his arm tightly. He turns, looking down at you with an unnameable expression.
“I need you.” You say softly through half-gritted teeth, pulling him roughly, feverishly toward the living room.
He doesn’t say a word, and you’re grateful for that, he’s said enough already.
“Take it off.” You breathe, reaching for your own pants, pulling them off, followed by your shirt. He catches the intention behind your movement, and drops his coat easily.
When you get yourself naked, you lie back on the couch, not having to wait long before his naked body covers yours.
“Do you need me to-” He offers, and you silence him by pressing a finger to his lips.
You shake your head, reaching down, pumping his hard cock a few times before guiding him into your dripping wet core.
Billy gasps in surprise.
“Shocked?” You tease, “I thought you knew everything about me.”
His eyes darken, something terrifying crosses his features. He moves his arms, braces one on each side of your head. Your eyes flit to the snake curled over his shoulder.
“I don’t know everything about you,” He hums, the corner of his mouth twitching in amusement, “But I will.”

Chapter 015 recap
"You sure you want to sign up for all of this?"
• • •
From here on out, it's going to be Shy Girl and Eddie... and nothing... NOTHING will ever change your mind or get in the way of that.
“Sugarcoated lies unfolded…”
Chapter 016
♡
“OUT OF THE FUCKING WAY!” Dustin shrieks.
“CORNER!” Mike hollers. “Hot plates coming through!”
“Shit shit shit shit!” This is the third order Lucas has messed up. “Argyle’s gonna kill me. Where the fuck is Eddie?!”
It’s Hellfire’s busiest Tuesday and the owner is nowhere in sight. And neither are you — Hellfire’s number one dancer.
Surely that has to be a coincidence. Because the last thing on your mind while everyone is going crazy looking for Eddie is going crazy in his office, your legs spread out on his desk while riding his tongue, his mouth and fingers penetrating your sensitive clit with calculated strokes and thirst-quenched laps, Eddie’s eyes rolling to the back of his head as he prowls for your release, the remnants of it trickling down the wooden table and soaking all of his nearby paperwork.
…Right?
“Have you seen Eddie?” Nancy demands as she waves her dead curling iron in the air.
“No!”
“Will…have you seen Eddie?” Jonathan asks.
“No!”
Argyle isn’t having any better of a day.
“Ayo, who THE FUCK keeps ringing in the Eddie Special?! We 86’d it an hour ago cuz we’re out of thousand island!”
The frazzled cook shifts his focus back to the grill, wiping sweat away from his forehead in exhaustion. He then bolts to the fryer, ignoring the mountain of tickets piling up on the line.
A few muffled curse words escape his mouth. Goddammit Eddie. Where is that fucker?!
“Eddie?!” Dustin calls out as he’s directed to voicemail.
“Eddie!” Chrissy attempts.
“Eddie?!”
“Eddie!”
“EDDIE!” you moan. “Oh, fuck. Eddie…”
“Thought I told you to call me sir.”
Eddie’s lips hum against the ones between your legs as he devours you, tip of his tongue flicking across your folds before circling inwards, licking…sucking…moaning and spitting as he reels you in for a delicious rotation of all possible combinations.
“My sweet, sweet secretary,” Eddie playfully swoons. “They’re gonna have to wait baby, you taste so good.”
It should come as no surprise that a Dungeon Master like Eddie is obsessed with role-play. Yet it stuns you like it’s the first time, watching him devour you like a starved man in the wild, the heels of his palms anchoring you to his desk by how they hook your thighs in place.
“Love the skirt you wore just for me,” Eddie blubbers. The easy access just does something to him. And the way it hugs your body... Eddie is practically scraping his knees on the floor trying to make you feel good. “Love your sweet pussy. Love everything about you…”
“Ohhh…fuck…” you mewl as the echos of your wet cunt filter the air around you. “Yes, Eddie…”
“You my naughty little secretary?”
“Yes, sir…”
Eddie hums again while you toss your head back, bliss-filled and fucked out, squirming underneath him as your ankles dangle limply at his shoulders. Your pornographic moans that bleed into desperate squeals cause Eddie to subconsciously buck his hips and thrust, eagerly sinking his mouth further into you as he sucks harder on your clit. And just before he can pull down his pants to pound you senseless around his office, another type of pounding awaits for you two at the door.
“EDDIE OPEN THE FUCK UP!” Henderson screeches as he knocks. “Our ass is grass out there, what are you doing?!”
Eddie sighs in anguish, irritibably looking over at the ruckus waiting for him on the other side of that door. "I'll be right back, babe.”
You use this time away from Eddie to gather yourself and your belongings. Since you had been folded up for a while, your legs wobble like jelly when they meet the floor.
You’re a little bummed that you two didn’t meet your goal of Orgasm #5 of the day, but you’re content in knowing that there is always an opportunity to later in the night.
The door swings open abruptly causing you to jolt. Eddie’s back.
“Shy Girl,” he huffs.
“Eds,” you respond.
“I never thought these words would ever come out of my mouth,” Eddie warns you. “But please put your clothes on.”
“Huh?!”
Eddie fills you in on the shitshow that is taking place outside. Hellfire is in desperate need of an extra server, and you are the only one with qualifications that can do it. But as much as you want to help, you are reluctant. It is a huge pay cut on your end if you took that deal.
“I make way more stripping than serving, Eddie,” you frown. “I need to pay the bills.”
“I can give you a cash advance,” Eddie bargains. “A-and even all my tips from the tip-out tonight. We just really need someone, baby. Just this one time, please. Only for today.”
Your man starts towards you with a flirtatious demeanor now, swooping in to grab your hips that he adores oh so much. You bite your lips, trying your best not to cave.
“And…” he lowers his voice huskily. “I’ll be sure to have another kind of tip waiting for you at home…”
You giggle into his chest, laughing at the clever pun that he had up his sleeve. And because he’s so charismatic and convincing, you take him up on the offer.
“Okay, fine,” you agree. “Just this one day.”
When you’re fully clothed again, Eddie hands you a Hellfire baseball tee and apron for you to wear as you switch from dancer to waitress. And after one final look at yourself, you reach to turn the knob of Eddie’s office door to go outside. Someone is already waiting by the foot of it when you pull it open.
Henderson.
Confused, Dustin looks at you. You look at Dustin. Dustin’s eyes wander over to Eddie whose got the most devious smirk on his face. Finally Henderson looks back over at you and sighs, issuing you a “do I even want to know?” type stare.
You clear your throat, attempting to brush off the awkwardness that just took over.
“Well…we going out there or not?”
“Hey. Look over there.”
Your ability to take up space in more forms than one inevitably catches the attention of the other dancers. Justice and Emmy in particular. The two watch as you strut around Hellfire with the club t-shirt on instead of the Nothing that they’re used to, ordering the younger gentlemen of Hellfire around like you were the shift lead.
“Lucas stay back here and help Argyle cook the food,” you instruct. “I will run it out. Mike, you start bussing and sweeping so the area looks nice. Dustin, I need you to make set-ups. Will, I need you up front as host and cashier. Someone needs to be at the front at all times. When everything is less crazy, we can all assume our usual positions. Right now it’s just DAMAGE CONTROL.”
Hellfire is not like a standard sit-down restaurant... for obvious reasons. However, the foundation remains the same. Everyone has a lane. They need to stay in it.
The boys are more than receptive to your instructions and follow through almost immediately. Eddie observes as it all goes down. He beams at you in awe, fantasizing about the situation because it's all his mind knows when it comes down to you.
“It’s like she’s leading them into battle…" he sighs breathlessly. "She’s so hot.”
“HOT!” Argyle screams as he dishes an appetizer onto the line. “Someone throw some chives on there for me, yeah?”
Just when you're about to crash, Steve and Max make their way inside the club, clearly worn out from their shift at Newby's, and stunned by the turnout for Hellfire at the beginning of the week.
“Holy shit, why are men so horny on a Tuesday?” Max exclaims.
She hands you your coffee that she made for you herself.
“This drink’s called The Pollywog. Dark and earthy, should do the trick.”
“Coffee does for me what crack cocaine would do for others,” you remark. “Thanks sis, I owe you.”
You pan your gaze over to Steve, because you know that he and Max usually like to order food and sit around for a bit before he drives her home.
“Uh, just two waters,” Steve mutters. “Max and I will order when you guys are less slammed.”
You smile at him, resting a grateful hand atop his shoulder. “‘ppreciate it, Stevie.”
The strippers eye you. Again, intently. You’re close with his roommate too? Little do they know you were also fucking his roommate for a short period of time.
This goes deeper than any of them thought. You and Eddie must be exclusive. And to them, it seems like you’re getting special treatment, fucking your way up to the top like a certain woman once did.
“Looks like we might have another Isabelle on our hands.”
“Look at her walking around like she owns the place.”
“She thinks she can take over Hellfire because she’s fucking Eddie huh?”
“I mean why wouldn’t she? She’s also friends with Chrissy. Birds of a feather.”

It feels like you’re submerged underwater judging by the increase of pressure in the room.
The dressing room is eerily quiet. Everyone is whispering instead of the usual singing and shouting. Your intuition senses that people are staring... almost in a way that makes you feel like an art display, or that you have food in your teeth. The only ones who are still acting normal are Chrissy and Nina, while the girls you usually joke around with at their respective vanities have gone radio silent.
Just then, there's a knock on the door.
“Hi my beautiful girls,” Eddie coos as he makes his way into the dressing room.
He keeps his eyes covered until everyone says it’s okay.
“Quite the lunch shift huh?”
“You have no idea, Eds,” Nina sighs. "But it sure as hell paid off."
"Yeah, Eddie," Chrissy agrees. "We all got tipped so well, your tip-out is probably astounding too!"
Speaking of which...
"Just what I came here for," Eddie points a finger gun at you before unveiling to you a huge wad of cash. “Here are my lunch tips, like I promised.” You reluctantly take it from Eddie as he ruffles your hair endearingly.
Eddie's first mistake was not only making you the center of attention, but giving his tips to you — on top of the tips you already had from serving — in front of the other girls. In a way, those were their tips. They only became his, well, yours now, because of the tip-out policy.
Now they're really annoyed. The girls who have you on their radar wait until Eddie leaves to approach you. And when they do you're almost taken aback.
“You’re starting to do a lot of the positions,” Emmy observes.
"Uh, yeah from time to time," you respond gently. "Today Eddie really needed an extra server on the floor so I jumped ship to help the boys."
“Must be a natural at taking charge.”
"Oh…I'm hardly ever a dom," you try to laugh it off. "If I am it's usually just for show. I'm more of a soft dom and sub if you ask me."
"Just for show, I see," that's all Emmy seems to get from what you said.
"I'm sorry... did I step on some toes here?" you question her. She's almost shocked at how ballsy you are. But then again, she doesn't know you. "Because you seem pretty fed up with me today, Emmy."
“We’re just really protective of our Eddie,” she replies dryly. "That's all."
“Girl, trust I don’t want any trouble,” you try to sound confident but your voice fails you. Why would you say that? You shouldn't say that, you're his girlfriend. They should be the ones treading lightly.
“Oh we would hope so too,” Emmy glares. “Cause we’re watching.”
And just like that, the girls you thought you were on good terms with strut back outside in a single file line, their icy stares fixed on you until they are out of sight.
The atmosphere feels arctic now. Eerie. Unwelcome. It's like the remnants of Isabelle Munson still linger after all.
“The hell what that all about?” Nina questions when she walks over to you.
“It’s a looong story,” you huff.
STRIKE ONE
"And then Emmy says to me, wE'rE jUsT rEaLlY pRoTeCtIvE oF eDdIe AnD wE'rE wAtChInG yOu da-da-da."
You stop your frantic pacing to plop onto Eddie's bed in exhaustion.
"Nina and I were just standing there like... the fuck?" you continue. "WHAT is this bitch's deal?"
Eddie chuckles at your recap of the events from the day before, lazily strumming along to a Metallica song he's learning on the guitar. You're displeased with your man's lack of concern for the issue at hand.
You shoot back up quickly.
"Matter of fact, what’s everyone's deal?" you demand. "They were all chill and nice to me when I started Hellfire but the SECOND they found out we're seeing each other it's like I'm their mortal enemy. And for what? It’s not like any of them stood a chance with you anyway. Thirsty ass bitches.”
"OH!" Steve hollers from the living room, causing you and Eddie to flinch. "TOUCHDOWN TAYLOR! Wooo hooo! That's what I'm talkin' bout baby."
Eddie puts his guitar down and starts towards you, realizing now how much this has taken a toll on your mental. He also closes his bedroom door all the way, allowing for privacy between you and him, and Steve with his precious Colts game.
"I'm really sorry the girls made you feel that way," he sighs. "It's just been a while since I have been exclusive with somebody. They know how badly Isabelle broke my heart. And well, ruined my life.”
You scoff, looking away. Eddie is there to ground you once more, placing his index and middle finger on your chin, using them to redirect you back to his reassuring gaze.
“They're just looking out for me,” he assures you. “Promise."
"They thought I was gonna be another Isabelle," you pout. "That's really offensive, you know."
"They said that with Chrissy too when she was new," Eddie recalls. "I mean…You should've SEEN the amount of drama that unfolded whenever she and I would even breathe the same air. You would've thought at one point, they were gonna chop her head off and parade it on a wooden stake like in Lord of the Flies."
You fold your arms irritably.
"This isn't Lord of the Flies, Eddie. This is real life."
"Lord of the Flies is also real life. In a way."
“Not sure which side of the battle you're on here, babe.”
Eddie then goes onto explain that Chrissy also faced the wrath of Eddie's OG dancers. But after the Hellfire Girls realized that Chrissy was not going to be a threat, they backed down.
Every explanation earns him an eye roll. Eddie needs to realize that being seen as a threat should never be an excuse to be mean to someone. Especially since those girls have been buddy-buddy with you before.
"Strip clubs can be... very catty," Eddie concludes. "The longer you work in the industry the more you'll realize. Take it with a grain of salt, okay baby? All that matters is us."
You don't budge. A part of you still feels discredited, despite kind of seeing where Eddie is coming from. Unless this worsens, he can’t 100% take your side. Eddie needs to be mediator for now.
He scratches his head.
“I also…need… my dancers,” Eddie points out. “So from a manager-slash-owner standpoint, there isn’t much I can do about Mean Girl shit other than keep it under my radar. But you’re a Hargrove, honey. You hold your ground, get your check, fight some chicks outside the club if you have to…”
You giggle at the last part. Eddie reels you in.
“…and then come home to me.”
And then he flashes you the Munson smile, that ever-so-charming million-dollar attribute that won your heart in the first place. It all causes you to blush.
"Okay," you say.
Before you two could swallow each other whole, Steve knocks on the door. Eddie pulls it open.
“I’m ordering pizza, any of you guys want some?” Steve questions. “Hope you don’t mind pineapple.”
Eddie grimaces. “You’re fucking disgusting. Make half of it a Meat Lovers and I’ll pay for it.”
“Fine,” Harrington huffs. His eyes travel over to you longingly. “Hargrove? You okay with pineapple?”
“I’m okay with whatever,” you mutter. “Anything’s better than a can of worms.”
Steve's eyes peer over at you then over at Eddie. He doesn't quite understand your analogy, but still seems supportive of you nonetheless.
“Okay…” Harrington mumbles before closing the door. “Pineapple and Meat Lovers it is.”
𓆩♡𓆪
It all makes sense why you ate most of Steve's pizza instead of him a couple days ago. You were clearly PMS-ing, and today you started your period.
At least now you know the Plan B you took was effective.
As grateful as you were, you're still having an awful time 'surfing the crimson wave'. Mood swings were also at an all-time high. Anything anyone was going to say to you was surely going to make you combust.
You're also bloated, a huge insecurity of yours because what you packed for today is rather skin tight. What typically would make you look snatched today looks relatively unflattering today. You try to give yourself grace. Body changes during a cycle is normal. It's part of being a woman.
"Shy Girl!" Eddie calls out to you from the other side of the dressing room. "You gonna be out soon, baby? Got a few regulars of yours at Vecna's Lair!"
The Hellfire Girls' ears perk up when they hear "regulars". Whatever is up their sleeves today cannot be any good.
You call back out to Eddie as you make your finishing touches. "Yes, coming!"
"I don't know," Emmy says, projecting her voice slightly louder than she usually does. You look towards her general direction as she talks. "I feel like a lot of people are uneducated about dressing for their body type. Cuz when you don't dress correctly for your body, it just makes everything look so unflattering."
You look down at your body and start to feel a little sad. Although the conversation was between Emmy and Justice, you can't help but feel attacked.
You decide to make your way over to the DJ and show him your songs for the night. Your choice for the evening is Candy by Doja Cat because its slow and sexy rhythm will allow you to move in a manner that is flexible for this particular phase of your cycle.
After thanking the DJ, you confidently strut back down from the stage, channeling your inner Marilyn Monroe walk as you continue to move around.
"Oh my god," you hear Justice say. "That's kinda really embarrassing. Can you imagine?"
Suddenly, you hear Eddie's voice trail after you. Out of all people.
"Baby!" he exclaims.
Stunned, you turn around. "Yes?"
"I uh," Eddie stammers. "Let's get you back into the locker room huh?"
You're confused. What could possibly be going on to cause such panic in Eddie's eyes? Why was he so frantic, pushing and hauling you into the dressing room — and not in a way you'd like.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, Eds, slow down!" you exclaim. "What is it?"
Eddie gulps as he tries to catch his breath. You wait for him to talk, but he's too busy grabbing some spare towels and even some paper ones.
"Respectfully, Hargrove," Eddie says as he strides back over to you. "You need to change outfits or something."
Like Billy, you immediately go into defensive mode.
"OH IT LOOKS THAT BAD, HUH?” you demand. Your mini-freak out earns you some laughter from those girls, but you're too aggravated to give them your attention. “Sorry that I'm a little bloated today! Sorry that I’m a normal human being whose body is different depending on the day."
"It's not that, baby," Eddie insists. "It's just that... your bleeding? It went through."
Looking in the mirror now, you see a HUGE blot behind you. Your tampon had gotten dislodged and now there is blood all over your cute baby blue set. Heat begins to simmer at your cheeks.
Those fucking Hellfire Girls. How dare they not tell you?
When you glare back over at them, the Hellfire Girls are trying to conceal their laughter. What's even more infuriating is that Eddie doesn't seem to notice. But to be fair, he's too fixated on you to pay other women any mind. You want to pop them all, see how funny it is after.
"Seems like you're having a rough day," Eddie comments as he strokes your back.
"I am," you admit. "I tried to tough it out and come to work today, but nothing is going right." The air is quiet again when the girls see Eddie touching you lovingly.
You turn your body back towards the mirror and look at your ruined set in dismay. Eddie hates seeing you upset. Resting his gentle hands on your shoulder, he begins to barter.
"How about…” Eddie says. “You take the rest of the night off? I’ll take you home right quick. To my place.”
“Really?”
“Yeah!” your man nods, causing you blush. “Harrington and I have a shit ton of ice cream so you can help yourself. Lay in my bed, watch something on Netflix... When I'm off work and done visiting Wayne, we can cuddle, and I can give you belly rubs. Sound good?"
"Sounds like heaven, actually."
You don’t know what you’ve done to deserve him. Eddie is so tender and sweet when he lets his walls down. You’re grateful that he decided to lean into the unknown when it comes down to you. Such a good boyfriend already.
The Hellfire Girls can’t help but eavesdrop on your little exchange. Suddenly, Eddie speaks again.
“Are we okay?” Eddie questions you with his beady eyes.
“Yes,” you smile. “We’re more than okay.”
Eddie kisses your cheek. He leaves his peck there for a few seconds before letting go. "I'll come scoop you in 10 once I get everything squared away. Then it’s junk food and cuddles all night long.”
Eddie makes sure that the girls hear this entire conversation. As you start to pack your stuff, Nancy drops in with a graceful smile, spoiling you with pads, tampons, and some ibuprofen. Meanwhile, Jonathan packs you a Sprite in a to-go cup with a smiley face, and Argyle spoils you with your usual — chicken wings, flats only.
The Hellfire Girls are fuming. Their attempt to embarrass you didn't go as planned. Instead, they got a lovesick Eddie with a Shy Girl on her way to his house to drink hot tea, scarf down some junk food, and relish in a heat pack of sorts and cuddles all night. And Eddie’s friends indirectly rushing to your defense.
But this humbling experience doesn’t stop their games. No no, it only just issued them a new set of information and ammunition for more intense blows.
The torment isn’t stopping here. The girls are going try harder.

STRIKE TWO
It didn’t stop at the subtle jabs.
If there was an opportunity to inconvenience you, the Hellfire Girls took it. Like calling Eddie on his day off — while he’s out with you — to come scope out a problem that could’ve been fixed without him. Or stealing your song choice when they heard you talking about it with Chrissy, and how you planned on using it for your set. Or “dropping” breakable items like your nail polish on accident and blaming it on their ‘complete and utter clumsiness’. Funny, because Eddie is always talking about how poised they are and a myriad of other good things…because that’s just who your boyfriend is at his core: a lover and supporter of women. Unlike some people.
It was Dustin’s turn to grocery shop one day. And while the Eddie Special is back on the menu, it was the waffle fries’ turn to be 86’d. Mike’s girlfriend, Jane keeps eating them and Wheeler of course always forgets to take inventory.
"So what does 86 mean?"
You're eating lunch with a couple Hellfire Girls in the dressing room when service industry lingo is brought up. Everyone eyes you, from Emmy to Lady to Kassidy. Justice seems to be holding her breath.
"86?" you repeat just to make sure.
Kassidy gives you a look, almost a "duh" kind of look that makes you feel slightly stupid.
"Yeah, heard you talking about it with the kitchen staff."
"Oh," you say. "Oh well 86 means to get rid of something. Maybe because it's not available anymore, or out of stock. Not needed, even."
"I see..." Kassidy responds.
"Wish we can '86' people," Lady mutters.
The comment earns her a snicker from Kassidy and Lady. It makes you feel weird inside. They couldn't have possibly been talking about you, right?
You walk away to throw away your food, and while you’re away from them their laughs intensify. Now all they could talk about is ‘86’ and their own personal spins on it.
Oh they were most definitely talking about you.
You decide to leave the dressing room and hang out at the hookah lounge before your next set. It was clear you weren’t welcome and you weren’t about to be in the company of people who were only going to drain your energy.
The audacity of it all still leaves you appalled. Plotting behind your back is one thing, but the fact they had the guts to say it and do things in front of you now is scary.
𓆩♡𓆪
“And then they said, ‘Wish we could 86 people’,” you recall angrily. “That basically implies they want to get rid of me.”
“That sucks, sis,” Billy sighs. “Yeah, that’s exactly what it sounds like.”
You’re on the phone playing catch-up with Billy on your day off. Meanwhile, Eddie is playing a video game with his online friends, allowing you to use his room to pace around in frustration.
“And one time when I was on my period, I bled through,” you continue. “And then Eddie-”
Billy interrupts you before you could positively advertise your man. You would think your brother would want to know that his twin sister is in good hands judging by the way Eddie took care of you when you were feeling like absolute shit…how instead of forcing you to perform he sent you home early and ate junk food with you and gave you a heat pack and belly rubs to help with cramps…But no.
“I don’t wanna hear about that girl stuff,” Billy gags. “It’s fucking disgusting.”
Classic Billy.
“…okay,” you huff and digress. “But you get the picture, right? These girls have it out for me.”
“Oh for sure,” Billy agrees. “It’s one-sided beef because they’re intimidated by you. I hope they get the shit pimp-slapped out of them for being dicks to you.”
“I wouldn’t go as far as to say that…” you mumble.
“But I would,” Billy laughs pridefully.
No matter how awful the girls were being to you, you wouldn’t wish anything upon them like Billy described. They were already miserable anyways, judging by how awful they were being to you for no reason. If anything you’d wish them healing and some love because they clearly needed it.
“I wish I could go over there and give ‘em a piece of my mind,” your twin brother continues, the thought of violently attacking women quite possibly giving him a hard-on via the other line. “No one can be mean to my sister BUT ME.”
The execution of his words makes your stomach turn. Because as those words are uttered, you’re back in the San Diego rental, screaming and crying, clawing at Billy to get him off of you because apparently your change in tone towards him was enough justification for you to be accosted against the wall.
“That was really uncalled for, Billy,” you scold him. “Time and place, please.”
Suddenly, the vibe changes. You can practically feel the heat through the phone.
“What, you’ve never heard of that expression before?” Billy demands. “It was a fucking joke, don’t get so butthurt.”
“Is it really a joke?” you hiss. “Because if we revisit the timeline, you haven’t been exactly nice to me either.”
“OH MY…” Billy sighs in exasperation. “I can’t say SHIT to you without you crying about it. Maybe those bitches are onto something. Maybe YOU’RE the fucking problem.”
“How can you say that?!” you shout.
The change in your tone causes Eddie to look up from his computer. Like second nature, the tears free fall from your eyes as you scream at your brother through the phone.
“After I vent to you about EVERYTHING, Billy, really?!”
“I don’t know, maybe since so many people have a problem with you…including ME,” your brother snaps. “'Think it’s time we look at the common denominator.”
“YOU KNOW WHAT FUCK YOU! I don’t know why I tell you anything anymore!”
“YEAH WELL FUCK YOU TOO BITCH!” Billy screams back. “I’m GLAD you and that scrawny red-headed BRAT moved out. My life has NEVER BEEN THIS PEACEFUL!”
“Yeah cause you were SO unbothered you had to FLY HERE and CONFRONT ME AT MY JOB, RIGHT?”
It’s a few more nasty exchanges of words and threats before you hang up and chuck your phone at the wall. Startled, and probably reminded of his own traumas, Eddie’s first instinct is to duck. You watch as he trembles slightly, like a puppy during a thunderstorm, before removing his cupped hands away from his ears.
He then makes his way over to you, demeanor shifting from alarmed to alarmed for you.
“Hey,” Eddie whispers to you in consolation. “Hey hey hey hey. Come here. Come here.”
He rocks you in place. Immediately you collapse into Eddie’s arms. You’re absolutely tired. Tired of the Hellfire girls. Tired of putting on a happy face for your little sister 24/7. Tired of Billy. Tired of feeling like a burden.
“I fucking hate him,” you wail. “I hate him, I hate him. I hate him.”
“You don’t need him.”
“I don’t need him.”
“You don’t need him.”
“I don’t,” you tell Eddie, and yourself. “Fuck him. Fuck California. Fuck everything.”
“That’s right baby,” Eddie whispers. He plants a soft kiss onto your forehead. “You’re staying here with me.”
“With you.”
𓆩♡𓆪
Eventually you do get over it and decide that Billy and the Hellfire Girls don’t deserve any of your time and energy.
Just in time for another work shift. Today you’re doing personal lap dances at VECNA’S LAIR, but it’s not too busy so you’re essentially scanning the room in search of clients for the first hour.
Your eyes light up when you pinpoint a few regulars. You skip on over to the first one.
“Hi, Barry!” you exclaim. “How are you?”
“Oh, god! Hello Shy Girl!” Barry replies. He looks happy to see you, but oddly not particularly excited. “How…have you been?”
“I’ve been well! Long time no see!” you smile. “How are your boys?”
“They’re doing well,” your regular nods. “They’re working on their college applications right now, and the younger one has been scouted for some schools on the East Coast for football.”
“You must be so proud.”
“Very!”
It seems like Barry has cut the conversation there. Strange, because he almost always requests a dance. You decide to push for more information.
“Sooo, are you in the mood for a dance today?”
“You’re a sweetheart,” Barry blushes. “But no thank you, not today. I’m trying to save money so I’m just gonna have a drink and go.”
Now THAT’S really odd. First of all, Barry is LOADED, hence being a regular. And even if being frugal was the case, what was his ass even doing at Hellfire? You didn’t want to make him uncomfortable by prying further so you just leave it at that, wishing Barry a lovely rest of his day and going about your day.
When you leave, you’re taken aback when Justice makes her way over to your client and asks him the same question.
“Hi, Barry. Would you like a dance?”
“Oh, hi! Yes, I’d love one!”
You nearly get whiplash just by how fast you crane your neck back over to them. What the actual fuck? Eyeing them curiously, you watch as Barry slips a 20 over to Justice, to which she takes from him seductively as she sinks onto his lap. Her eyes trail over to you, somewhat satisfied with herself when she sees you watching. Your blood starts to boil. She just took your regular. And in a sense, your money.
But that’s still something you don’t have time to entertain. So you strut over to your next regular, Asher.
Sweet, sweet Asher. He’s significantly younger than Barry. Finance major, freelancer, only child in his early twenties and his parents are rich. Asher has always been nice to you, and like Steve, spoils the fuck out of you when you’re his dancer.
“Hey you,” you bat your lashes at him. “Long time no see!”
“Oh my god, Shy Girl!” Asher exclaims. He doesn’t hug you like he usually does, but he’s still happy to see you. “It’s been a minute. I actually didn’t think you were coming in today.”
“I’m always on Thursdays,” you point out. “You always get a dance from me.”
“Ohhh, that’s right,” Asher recalls. “You and Eddie call today Friday Junior Junior.”
“Yeah, silly!” you giggle. “Speaking of dances, would you like one?”
Your question generates a similar reaction from Asher like Barry had given you. It was then that you knew something had to have been up. But nothing could’ve possibly prepared you for what Asher was about to say.
“Oh, no thanks!” your client gracefully declines. “I think I’ll wait until you fully recover. I hope you’re okay with that boundary of mine.”
Appalled, you try to construe what he meant by that.
“Yes, I respect your boundaries of course…” you say. “But, what do you mean by get better?”
“Aren’t you sick?” Asher questions. “And like…taking antibiotics for something serious? Cause if you are, you shouldn’t be at work.”
Asher respectfully ends your conversation right then and there. It’s like a mental door has closed on your face. Completely distraught, you walk away from your other reliable regular, just to have Lady walk up to him and be granted permission to give him a dance.
This is ridiculous. You need to get to the bottom of these rumors right away. On your way to the bar, you run into Nina. She extends her arms out to you, eyes widening as you walk towards her.
“OMG, Shy Girl!” Nina exclaims, rather panicked. “What are you doing here girl, you need to be home recovering?!”
“Recovering from what?” you snapped. “I just had TWO regulars turn me down but then say yes to dances from other dancers. Why did I have to learn through the grapevine that I’m sick?! Which I am not, by the way.”
“So… you don’t have gonorrhea?”
Your eyes nearly pop out of your head.
“WHO THE FUCK SAID I HAD GONORRHEA?!”
Nina’s face drops when she realizes. You don’t even have to pry any further now. The pained look on your friend’s face told you EXACTLY who started that rumor.
Now those girls are pushing it. Because now you’re losing out on money and clientele. Absolutely aggravated, you storm back into the dressing room to collect yourself because you’re sure as hell not going to let them see you fall apart.
When you slam the door, you allow yourself to have a good cry. Luckily, Nina and Chrissy are the only ones in there with you. The only girls you trust at this establishment besides Nancy.
You’re not sad. You’re crying because you’re angry and frustrated. Nina and Chrissy understand, swarming you with hugs and validating back pats, letting you cry until you had no tears left to do so anymore.
“Shy Girl,” Nina frowns. “I have no words.”
Your bottom lip quivers profusely as you shake your head.
“I just don’t understand,” you choke. “Why are they so horrible to me? I didn’t do anything to them.”
“I’m really sorry love,” Chrissy rubs your back as she lays her head on your shoulder. “Unfortunately, I understand that all too well. They did the same thing to me too.”
STRIKE THREE, YOU’RE OUT.
“God, you need a new car, Munson.”
You’re smoking with Eddie in his van during your ‘joint’ lunch break. It’s become a tradition now for you two to take your meals at the same time to spend time with each other because you’re both way too busy to be affectionate work.
“Babe, really?” Eddie huffs jokingly. “Put some respect on Shiela’s name. She’s been through hell and back with me.”
You giggle as you take a huge drag from your blunt, inhaling then expelling, coughing up the remainder and taking in the slight comfort of a warm chest. You pass Eddie the blunt to finish it.
“But you’re right though,” Eddie admits with a sigh. He fiddles with the blunt before putting it out on his ash tray. “The good news is I’m caught up on Wayne’s bills. Next 'big boy' purchase is a new whip.”
“That’s awesome baby,” you smile. “I’m so happy for you.”
“Or a motorcycle,” Eddie smirks. “I’d love a bike.”
“Absolutely not.”
“Why not?” he quips.
Eddie leans over the center console to kiss your temple. When you hum in pleasure, he begins trailing down your neck.
“Thought you liked bad boys.”
You and Eddie proceed to have a healthy debate. It isn’t about the bad boy aesthetic like Eddie thinks it’s about, but more so the practicality of the situation. Eddie needs something to lug groceries in when he's out running errands, and with Wayne still getting active cancer treatments, the old man needs a ride to his appointments. And that poor man has aged out of the Bad-to-the-Bone 'cyclist scene, you’re afraid.
“Speaking of practicality,” Eddie says. He nods towards your red Toyota Camry that’s parked on the opposite end of the lot. “Why’d you park there? Move your car closer so I don't have to walk you too far tonight.”
You look through the rearview mirror to locate your baby. Eddie was right. It was parked further than it usually is, and if your boyfriend isn’t the one escorting you to your car tonight it’s going to be Henry or one of the other boys who are sure to complain. By the door would be convenient for everyone.
“Okay,” you say. You kiss him. “Be right back.”
You climb out of Eddie's van and make your way over to your car. After several tries, you hit a scary realization.
Your car won’t start.
You try again. And again, and again. Still, to no avail. Eddie eventually pops his head out, wondering why the ordeal is taking you so long. You exaggerate a shrug to him so he could see your sense of panic from a distance.
"What happened?!"
"It won't start!"
“Let me at her,” Eddie replies. “I was a mechanic before I started a business…”
You and Eddie switch places and you decide to wait for him by the door. Jonathan startles you a moment later when he opens it abruptly.
“Sorry, Shy Girl. The boys need Eddie for a minute can you go grab him for me?”
“He’s taking a look at my car, it won’t start,” you explain.
Jonathan’s face drops. “Oh no, that sucks. Hope you don’t have to take it in.”
“I hope so too. Either way I’ve got a ride home. It’s just inconvenient.”
Jonathan, whose knowledgeable about cars too, starts asking you some screening questions to help identify the problem. You assure him that nothing was wrong with it throughout the week, and there surely wasn’t anything wrong with it earlier.
Soon Chrissy comes out too.
“Hey!” she chimes. “Where’s Eddie? The boys are looking for him.”
“He’s looking at my car, something’s wrong with it,” you explain again. “It was fine this morning but when I went go move it, it kinda just—”
“Found the culprit,” Eddie grunts uneasily.
Your boyfriend waves you three over and you all follow suit. There's soot and grease all over your man's hands, but that is a kink to be explored much later. For now, the astonished look on his face is one of the main things to worry about.
Eddie points to your gas tank.
“There’s a shit ton of sugar there. The fuel in that tank is practically semi-solid.”
Sugar in your gas tank. THOSE BITCHES PUT SUGAR IN YOUR GAS TANK. You and Chrissy look at each other immediately, both of your suspicions about whose responsible practically ringing true.
“I know who fucking did it,” you shake your head.
“I-” Eddie’s face drops. He is utterly disappointed in the Hellfire Girls. “I just don’t even know what to say.”
He reaches into his pocket to grab his phone. Suddenly, your phone pings. It’s a Venmo notification.
“But less saying more doing, right?” Eddie tries to chuckle optimistically. “I just sent you $2K. Wayne’s cancer is acting up again, and I have to take him to his oncologist tomorrow. You let me know if they quote you for more than that.”
“Two grand?!” you shriek. “It’s bad huh?”
“Yeah…I ain’t gonna sugarcoat it, sweetheart,” Eddie frowns. “You might need a fuel tank replacement.”
Now you and Chrissy are fuming. Nina eventually comes over to check on everyone as well and is stunned by the news she hears. She starts to angrily take off her hoops, those fucking cunts, but Jonathan stops her.
“I’ll fuck ‘em up!” Nina insists. “I’m from Nocturna, baby. We don’t mess around there.”
“My ex was from Chula, and my brother is Billy,” you tsk. “We don’t play around either.”
Eddie puts his hands on his hips. “I guess we’ll call the tow company to come take it to Dave’s. I can take you home tonight, baby. It’s no issue.”
“No!” Chrissy snaps. “Nina and I are taking her home. If there’s no issue here, fix the evident ones inside!”
“Let’s go back inside Shy Girl,” Nina grumbles. “This is ridiculous.”
Your two friends are at either sides of you, linking your arms with theirs in solidarity. Those girls inside are about to get an earful. NO ONE messes with YOU and gets away with it.
“EDDIE,” Chrissy forewarns before slamming the door. “FUCKING PUT THEM IN CHECK, OR WE WILL.”
You’re too distraught to say anything. Otherwise, you would totally be ripping some cheap extensions out out some heads right now. You can’t believe these girls would go as far as to damaging your property, all because Eddie found someone who made him happy after his shitty divorce. If you did to them what they did to you, you know they definitely wouldn’t like that.
CLOSED FOR THE REST OF THE NIGHT DUE TO STAFFING ISSUES. SORRY FOR EDGING YOU :/
It was Eddie’s decision to close early because there was just so much that needed to be taken care of. But hearing Eddie scold and hold the girls accountable in his office, you know — the same office he was screwing you in — was music to your ears.
But even that state of bliss is short-lived. Because like a deadly virus, when the smear campaign doesn’t work, it mutates into a much larger issue: retaliation.
“See what happens when you snitch?” a voice demands. “Eddie loses out on business.”
You turn your head around to see Justice mad-dogging you with her arms crossed. You inflate your chest and stand up to her, showing no signs of intimidation.
“You’re fucking his shit up, just like his sorry ex wife,” she says to you.
You start to walk closer to her, to which Chrissy and Nina go after you right away.
“Woah woah woah there sister!” Chrissy stops you.
“Hey hey hey,” Nina joins in, helping her pull you away.
But Justice isn’t scared. Why should she be? She’s been here longer than you. She’s known Eddie longer than you. But she still has no business butting into Eddie’s. Especially if it fuels the fire that she and her friends desperately wanted to start.
“If I were y’all… I’d back the fuck up,” you advise her. “I don’t think you realize, but you’re fucking with a Hargrove.”
“Okay… and you’re fucking with Eddie’s Day Ones,” Lady comes to Justice’s defense, sneering at you condescendingly. “Sorry, Valley Girl, we don’t know what that means here in Hawkins.”
“Oh but you will. After damaging my rep AND property.”
“Oh was that a threat? You’re threatening us now huh?”
“Eddie’s not gonna fuck you,” Nina spits at them. “You do realize that right?”
“I mean…good,” Kassidy chuckles. “Wouldn’t wanna fuck him after Miss Gonorrhea did.”
𓆩♡𓆪
Do you accept the risk? Do you accept the risk?
All this time you thought Eddie was asking you because he knew he still had some baggage to sort through. But now you’re starting to wonder if there was a double meaning.
Eddie’s OG dancers are obviously in love with him, there’s no doubt about it. It stopped becoming a matter of “protecting Eddie” when they started sabotaging your experience at Hellfire after learning of your involvement with him. Had you been just another dancer, this would never have been the case.
Eddie tries to text you. But you don’t have the strength to reply. The next few days is spent in isolation, using this time alone to contemplate about what it is you truly want.
You came to Hawkins to escape Billy’s never-ending torment. Now that torment has seemed to take on a new form, and your inner peace is something you’re never ever going to sacrifice again.
Your first Monday back, you make your way over to Eddie’s office. And it’s almost like Eddie knows. As much as you know how deep that abandonment wound sits in Eddie’s soul, you knew you still had to put yourself first.
“Hi, Eds.”
“Baby…” Eddie pleads at a whisper. “Don’t do this. I can already see it in your eyes.”
You weren’t leaving him. You want to be with him more than anything. But this extension of him? You can love it to bits but still not want anything to do with it. Especially if the environment is unbearably toxic.
“I just think…our relationship is bleeding into work,” you swallow hard. “And I probably need to go somewhere else if we want this to last.”
“Please don’t word the first part like that…”
Eddie doesn’t tell you because he knows it’s not your intention, but it starts giving him war-like flashbacks to when his marriage with Isabelle started bleeding into work. The abandonment wound with her — and everyone in his life except Wayne — cuts so deep. He NEEDS that bandaid. But for your well-being, you needed to rip it off.
“It’s what we get for shitting where we eat, I guess,” you sniff, trying to laugh the burden of it all away.
“I warned you,” Eddie chokes. “Didn’t I?”
“I know,” you sigh. “But I just couldn’t help how I feel about you.”
“Then stay!” he begs. “The good outweighs the bad, sweetheart. Our friends love you so much.”
“I love them too, but if I’m gonna get verbally accosted, harassed, laughed at, and have sugar put in my gas tank then what’s the point?”
The tears leave Eddie’s eyes easily, and he doesn’t stop them from doing so. If only the Hellfire girls saw the pain they have caused you AND this man — the man they swore up and down that they were ‘protecting’.
“It’s either that or you fire 60 percent of your dancers and I WON’T let you do that,” you gulp. “It’s best to get rid of just one.”
“Just please, let’s talk it through.”
But there’s nothing left to talk about. No Eddie, you shake your head. What’s done is done, and what needs to be said has already been communicated. And as Eddie hangs his head in shame, you tug at the drawstrings of your cloak, fold it up neatly, and set it down on his desk.
“I’m quitting Hellfire.”

Until The Mockingjay Sings
Requested: no but I love Sejanus and angst and this made me sad
Warnings; major character death, hurt no comfort
Pairing: Sejanus x gn!reader, platonic Lucy Gray x Readers (y’all are besties)
Italicized = flashback
Word count: 1.6 k
You remember the last few hours that you had spent with the sweet Sejanus Plinth so clearly. It was a few days ago, you both had finished dancing at the Hob to the beautiful songs of the Covey. The two of you had been dancing, laughing and singing. It was a beautiful. You swear everything was so perfect.
Then he had walked you home, pressing a kiss to your cheek before leaving for the night. The small kiss from the sweet boy left butterflies in your stomach. Enough to make you smile from cheek to cheek, the redness on your face never ending. It was enough to have your father questioning his intensions, but it was all teasing.
He knew how much you cared for the young peacekeeper. As the bakers of the District, they sometimes (often) came into the bakery for breads, sweets if they could.
That’s how you met Sejanus Plinth.
Poor, sweet, foolish Sejanus Plinth.
How could things have ended so poorly? So quickly? Your mind couldn’t comprehend.
You stood with Lucy Gray in the crowd of people, near the front as you watched you who recognized as Spruce and what you had heard to be his sister. be brought up, about to be strung up on the big old tree. The two of them looked defiant, while also being horrifically beaten. Dried blood and bruises covered their faces and exposed skin. Dirt littered and stained their clothes and hair, and yet they still held their heads high. Honorable. But what had they done?
As Coriolanus’ eyes scanned the crowd, he spotted the familiar head of dark curls that belonged to his beloved Lucy Gray. Though next to her was you, Sejanus’ beloved Y/N. His heart pounded seeing your pained and confused face. You truly had no idea what Sejanus had done….maybe it was better that way anyway. Had you known you would have been up there beside Sejanus. And that would have been such a waste. He agreed that you were good, too good and too kind. Often too much for your own good. But then again, you and Sejanus had that in common. And his mind went back to the moment everything had started to gone wrong.
“You can’t show that you know or saw anything anything, Sejanus. You need to pull yourself together. If we’re all caught…they might suspect Y/N too. And you want to keep them safe right?” Coriolanus’ had asked Sejanus. And Sejanus’ dark eyes had widened at the mention of your name.
No. No, no, no, no. You couldn’t be wrapped up in this. You didn’t know anything about the rebels, or the plan of escape, the weapons, his meetings with Billy Taupe and Spruce. Would you really get caught in the middle of it all if himself and the others were caught? You had no knowledge of anything. You wouldn’t. Your life in Twelve wasn’t all sunshine, but it was better than many.
You had expressed this to him too. That you did what you could for the District. Handing out free bread to those who were starving. Often you have the Covey expired pastries and sweets when you could. You were kind. Genuinely so kind and almost too kind for your own good.
It was ironic for Sejanus to think so, but it was true. You were a good person. One of the few he had met in a long time. And he had sworn to himself and you to keep you safe. He was just about to pull you aside and ask for you to come with him. Away from the districts, to travel up North away from it all. That was until Coryo shot Mayfair. And then Spruce shot Billy Taupe. And it was all going wrong.
Sejanus quickly shook his head, looking at his friend in tears, “no….no they have nothing to do with this Coryo, you know that…” he whimpered with a desperate shake of his head. He failed onto keep from the violence. But he would always make sure you were safe.
Coriolanus nodded, keeping his hands firm on his friend’s face. “I know they don’t, Sejanus. I know. But in order to keep them safe and out of this, you need to pull yourself together. You need to collect yourself and walk back out there like nothing happened. We’re the only lose ends left right?” He asked, and Sejanus nodded again, taking a shaky breath. “Hey…we’re brothers, remember? Brothers...and I’ll do everything I can to keep you safe,”
How that would change so quickly. Coriolanus remained at the front stage of the hanging tree, his gun firmly in his hand while hearing his friend beg for him. Him. Coriolanus Snow. Sejanus Plinth’s best friend. His murderer. And Sejanus didn’t even know. You didn’t even know.
“Please…please coryo…..Coryo…” his voice repeated as he was dragged to his spot, the noise fitting around his neck as the head peacekeeper replayed the recording of the Jabber Jay. You looked on horrified next to Lucy Gray, looking around in shock.
“No….whats Sejanus doing here? He hasn’t done anything. There’s been a mistake,” you say rather in disbelief and frazzled as you watched your boyfriend struggle against the pace keepers before being brought up on stage. You listened in horror as the recording
“No….no there’s been a mistake!” You shout, all eyes moving towards your figure. Lucy Gray’s eyes widened, shaking her head. “Y/N, stop it..” she warned quietly, anxiously.
But you didn’t hear her as the crowd parted to show you. Senjsnus’ eyes widened through the tears. He didn’t expect you to be here. With all his fear he felt, what really made his blood run cold was seeing you. The panic on your face, the disbelief. He never got to tell you everything. The plan to run away together. He wanted to make sure he had everything planned out to the second to make sure it was perfect.
Sejanus wanted to tell you about the life you both could have together. A family. Away from the districts. Away from the Capital. And away from the Games.
"Y/N..." Sejanus gasped, jerking in the restraints, only to earn a warning from the peacekeeper. You weren't supposed to be here. He was scared, but he did not want you to see what was about to happen.
"Sejanus! There's been a mistake! Please!' You called out, the stinging in the back of your eyes as some of the peacekeepers moved. Lucy Gray had seen this. Lil...the girl about to be hung now had done this exact same thing when her lover had been hung. Quickly, Lucy Gray moved forward and quickly pulled you back.
"Y/N, you need to stop or else you'll be up there next," She whispered harshly as you fought her for a moment. How could you remain quiet?
"No....no...no...Y/n! Ma!" Sejanus's voice rang out before there was a sickening crack of several necks as the floor below the three people gave out.
You stared in horror through your tears as the body of the love of your life twitched and swung back and forth by rope that killed hundreds already. You felt like the whole world stopped. Your blood ran cold, and it was like someone had sucked everything from you. The warmth, the love, the hope. Everything that Sejanus had given you, the light and hope for a new and better life, was taken from you within seconds. Who could do such a thing? Sejanus didn't have enemies. None that you could think of at least. But at the moment you couldn't think as you tried to come to terms with what just has happened.
"Oh my god...Sejanus..." You sobbed, feeling your legs give out from beneath you. Lucy Gray was quick to drop down beside you, wrapping her arms comfortingly. Though Sejanus' voice continued to ring out in the air.
The Mockingjays all flew around the crowd and trees, repeating his last words, "Y/N! Ma!"
His voice was scared, desperate for the ones he had loved most. A District boy turned Capital turned rebel. you stared as the ground in horror, tears streaming down your face as your body shook with sobs and shock. Lucy Gray was gently rubbing your back but you couldn't feel it. You couldn't feel anything. Just numb.
So Lucy Gray allowed you to remain like that, sobbing until there was no tears left. Your eyes and face red and puffy, a blank and lost look in your eye. By the time you even got to your feet, a majority of the crowd had left.
"No...don't look," Lucy Gray had gently ordered, keeping your gaze down from the sight of the tree. You were shaking, and nothing like the best friend she had known. She wrapped a supportive arm around you before leading you out of the area without another look behind you both.
Coriolanus felt his own stomach churn as he had heard he snap of his former classmate, his squad member swung behind him, and watched as you had fallen to your knees in pure anguish. As the look in your eyes turned from hopeful and light to a blank and pained look. All for Sejanus. Maybe he had more of an influence than Coriolanus originally had thought. The same boy who had gotten himself into more trouble than he was worth.
The very same boy he had met on the playground when they were eight, the same boy who had given him the gum drops, the one who Coriolanus had almost died for in the arena, the reason he had to kill.
But then he had to remind himself that it was not his fault. He had to report Sejanus, he was trouble, a rebel. Sejanus had been ruining everything with his guilt and urge to help others. But that was all over now. Sejanus was no more.
Poor Sejanus.
Poor sweet, foolish, dead Sejanus.

the beginning
my babysitter au
type of piece(s): imagine, oneshot, drabble, series
type(s) of writing: smut, angst, fluff, dark (the story will contain all of the above)
pairing(s): milf!dom!dark!wanda maximoff x innocent!sub!immune!witch!fem!reader
warning(s): legal age gap (wanda is 33, reader is 21), perverted men, mentions of sex, this is just where they meet so nothing big
summary: when wanda hires a new babysitter, she is shocked to find that there are some things she doesn't know about her town. the biggest shock is you, you are immune to wanda's powers. an even bigger shock comes when wanda finds out you have powers of your own.
a/n: this series is going to be LOOSLY based on my wandavision dr. if anyone has anything they would like to see or something, let me know. and if anyone wants to talk about shifting, hit me up. i kinda imagined reader as a soft and quiet girl. also, you're kinda a whore. and you love to read and bake. in this series, wanda doesn't really do a tv show or different eras, it's all just normal. but the agents and stuff outside the hex have a big part. reader works at the local café that she owns and spends most of her free time in the library. anyways, enjoy part one!
1.8k words
(not my pics)
(pretend she had billy and tommy before the hex)
"what's the name for your order?" you asked, a little annoyed. you loved your job, but the older man standing in front of you made you want to throw your apron down and quit. "cohen, babe. don't forget next time" cohen shoots you a wink. you hold back a gag as you try to smile politely, writing the name on the side of the cup and turning your back to begin making the drink. grabbing a bag from behind you, you set the cinnamon pastry you made a few hours prior into a container and set it in the bag. as quick as you can, you mix up his drink and slap a lid on it while rolling up the top of the bag, wanting him to leave as soon as possible. "here you go" you say, spinning around and handing the bag and the drink to him. he gives you a look and opens his mouth to speak, but before he can, you tap the counter three times swiftly. your work best friend, sophie comes around from the back. "hey babe! is he causing you trouble?" cohen glares harshly at sophie, but one thing you love about her is the way she doesn't back down. sophie gives him a look that immediately has cohen scurrying out the door, tail between his legs. "thanks soph" "anytime love. we get off in fifteen, where you going tonight? your apartment or your mom's house?" you look around to see an empty café, emptier than usual. usually, the shop is packed full of starved or thirsty customers. but it's dark outside, and who would come get caffeine and food at 9:45 at night?
"I'll just stop by the library real quick before it closes and then head home and watch a movie or something." you say, smiling as you think about the old library downtown. it was your favorite place to be whenever you had free time or just needed some quiet. you turn and stacked some more cups and filled up the napkin container while waiting for your shift to end or another customer to walk in. you hear soph come out from the back room, where she was restocking supplies. "hey girl, can i ask a favor?" "yeah i'll stay and lock up so you can go fuck shawn" you say with a smirk and a giggle. sophie gasps dramatically. "how'd you know what i was gonna ask?" "because you ask me at least once a week. and the fact that you're a year older than me and supposed to be more mature makes it even funnier" "thank you! i'll see you tomorrow. don't forget, on sunday night we're baking treats for the elementary school bake sale on monday." "got it. i love you. see you sunday. enjoy shawn!" you sing as sophie laughs. "i will. love you too." "today is friday so on sunday, i need to be here by 5:00am so i can set up the tables and stuff to be ready to open at 6:00am. then i'll work until 10:00pm, close up, and help sophie bake some treats for monday's bake sale at the elementary school" you plan your day tomorrow in your head. glancing at the clock, you see it reads 9:55pm. 5 more minutes until you can lock up and leave. you work on monday, wednesday, friday, and sunday from 5:00am to 10:30pm. you usually open at 6:00am and close at 10:00pm 4/7 days a week. you love your job but hate the hours. your job at the coffee shop payed extremely well, so no matter how much you hated waking up before the sun, you weren't going to quit. you grab a rag and wipe the counters down. 3 minutes until you lock up and leave.
you spin around when you hear the little bell above the shop door ding, signaling someone came in. you almost drop the damp rag you're holding when you see her, a women, maybe in her early thirties. she had beautiful red hair and striking green eyes. her clothes were casual and relaxed, but you were sure she was some sort of powerful figure from the way she walked and held herself. you had never seen her in westview before, you were sure you'd remember her, and you'd lived in westview since you were eighteen, so three years now. you shake your head before walking around the counter to greet the women. she's even prettier up close. "you came in at the perfect time. i was just about to lock up." you tell the women with a smile. "oh, i can leave if you're closed-" before the women starts apologizing, you cut her off. "oh no, it's ok. i don't mind, i was getting lonely in here anyways. what can i get for you tonight?" "just a coffee and a piece of apple pie, please" you nod and turn to make her order. you don't ask her name, too shy to do so. it's a good thing that this women isn't. "i'm wanda." "y/n. i don't remember seeing you around westview. did you just move here?" you ask, sliding her drink and bag with the pie in the container to her over the counter. "no, we haven't moved here yet. i was just looking around, getting ready to move in with my boys" "oh, you have kids? how old?" "i have twin boys. they're ten" wanda's face lights up when she talks about them. "cute! i guess i'll be seeing you around more if you're going to move here" "you sure will, sweetheart." you wonder what that's supposed to mean as wanda smiles at you before paying and exiting the café, leaving a trail of perfume in her wake.
wanda turns the wheel to the left, not really knowing what she's looking for, but knows she's looking for something. wanda reminds herself that she needs to head back to the hotel and rest up for tomorrow when she and her boys were going to move into their new home. ever since vision kicked them out, they've been staying in a hotel but then wanda remembered the house that she owned in westview. the perfect place for her and her boys to start over. as wanda is thinking, her head droops and stomach grumbles. she hasn't drank or eaten anything all day. wanda continues driving around the streets, looking for a restaurant or something that she could get a bite to eat at. wanda slows the car when she sees a little café on the corner, letting out a sigh of relief as she sees movement and light from inside. she wouldn't have made it the forty five minutes back to the hotel without eating something. she quickly climbs out of her car and enters the café, not really paying attention to who's there with her. wanda just wants to get back as soon as she can. "you came in at the perfect time. i was just about to lock up" wanda almost falls over at the sound of the other female's voice. it was so relaxing and quiet. so beautiful. she glances up to look and sees you. wanda swears she stops breathing for a moment. you were the most gorgeous thing she'd ever seen. with the prettiest smile, even at the disturbance, and the softest voice, wanda swore she just met an angel. you had to be an angel. you're smiling. at her. "oh, i can leave if you're closed-" "oh no. it's ok. i don't mind, i was getting lonely in here anyways. what can i get for you tonight?" you were so sweet, so kind. "just a coffee and a slice of apple pie, please" wanda smirks to herself when she sees the tint of blush on your cheeks. you were so cute, too shy to talk to her or ask her name. "i'm wanda" "y/n. i don't remember seeing you around westview. did you just move here?" wanda watches you slide the bag and coffee across the counter towards her. "no, we haven't moved here yet. i was just looking around, getting ready to move in with my boys" wanda states. "oh, you have kids? how old?" "i have twin boys. they're ten" she smiles at the thought of her boys. "cute! i guess i'll be seeing you around more if you're going to move here" "you sure will, sweetheart."
as wanda clambers into her car to begin the drive home, she thinks about the girl at the counter. "y/n" wanda thinks to herself, smiling at the name. she thinks it suits you. and as wanda is turning onto the freeway, she thinks to herself, "that girl will be mine"
as you lock up the café and slide into your car, you think about the women you saw. she was very pretty, and you hope that her and her kids move in ok. as you turn you car on and pull out of the parking lot, you rest your hands on the wheel as you begin driving home. your mind is pleasantly empty on the drive back to your apartment.
the first time wanda ever met you, wanda thought about you the entire drive back to the hotel. you were the most angelic person she'd ever met, and she was enchanted by you. the first time that you met wanda, you thought about her once before driving home. she was just another customer to you. but little did you know, you were becoming so much more to her.
little do you know, this is just the beginning

Angst post! Sorry silly Billy enjoyers this post is gonna be riddled with sadness and hatred.
/TW! Child @buse, eating disorder, and other messes up stuff/
Billy's cold, he doesn't wanna move, it hurts, everything hurts, and he's so so hungry.
It's freezing, bone shivering even. He's hungry, so so hungry haven't eaten in days. Still the same height he was 4 years ago, I guess malnourishment really does something for a kid out on the streets.
His body tried, tried really hard to help him. The hair on his body grew thicker trying to keep him warm from the loss of fat. He thinks he heard Batman say its a sign of anorexia in some conversation long long ago. He can't even mutter the words out for Shazam, he tries but he just couldn't. His body is falling apart day by day, funnily enough he doesn't want to eat. The thought of food makes him sick to his stomach but he was starving. It was probably because he didn't eat something for so long it was most likely, a stomach acid build up. With no idea what that means he just learned it from Solomon from passing Funfacts during a particularly rough JL fight.
With all his strength combined he could only spit out the words "Mama" crying for his mother. His body was stained with black and blue spots from rude kids and adults alike.
Tears covered his face, but it gave him the warmth he needed before it turning ice cold by the wind. Pain strikes his left eye everytime he blinks due to the nasty black eye.
Pathetic, that's what he felt. From all these years of giving people empathy and love, he had none to give himself.
Love was what he needed, but he has yet to recieve it. It'll all pass soon he thought, the pain and hunger all goes away when he sleeps.

The fic has been out for a few days already, but I can finally make my own post and inflict it on y'all, and nobody can stop me, bwahahahahahah!
*cough* So, I took part in the Stranger Things Big Bang (2024 edition) and was so lucky that @lemonhitsu claimed my fic and made some amazing art for it, and also this banner up here! I'm so honored to have his great art on my fic, and proud to have inspired him even just a tiny bit! T^T Look at what he made! So pretty! So sad! So perfect!
My fic is a story about pining boys, with a big dose of angst and fluff, and a happy ending (and some smut just at the end). It's titled Flesh for Fantasy (thank you for the title, Billy Idol!) and you can find it here on ao3.
It's inspired by a Teen Wolf fic that I have reread a bit too many times and never fails to give me all the feels thanks to so much delicious angst and I'm a sucker for good angst, oh, yes I am! But I digress.
I loved writing my story, and mixing reality and Fantasy was a fun way to stretch my writing muscles. I was very lucky that @dragonflylady77 beta-read it for me, and that she and @medusapelagia patiently listened to me ramble while I was still writing it.
Anyway, here's the link to the story once again, and here are the info about the fic itself:
Flesh for Fantasy Rated E; 32000 words; no archive warnings Relationship: Billy/Steve Characters: Steve Harrington, Robin Buckley, Billy Hargrove, the Party, Maxine Mayfield, Jim "Chief" Hopper, Neil Hargrove, Susan Hargrove, Steve's parents The big tags: no Upside Down AU; Neil Hargrove; Child Abuse; car accidents; hospitals; blood and injury; broken bones; touch-starved Billy Hargrove; fluff and angst; emotional hurt/comfort; Platonic stobin; hopeless crushes; eventual smut; homophobia; non-sexual intimacy Synopsis: In a world where if you Fantasize about someone, that person feels it on their skin, someone starts Fantasizing about Steve Harrington. But instead of being sexual Fantasies, it's for cuddles and soft touches, so restrained that Steve has no idea who his phantom hugger is. All he knows is they must have a good reason to keep hidden like that.
I also have a little (?) snippet, but it's under the cut so the post is not too long on the timeline :P
"Do you think I look lonely?" She's taken aback by what must feel like a sudden change in subject. "Uh… No. I mean… sometimes, maybe. Babe, what does this have to do with anything?" "The Dreamer. It's never, like, a sex thing." "But that's what Fantasies are for. For sex!" "I know, okay, but this is… It's hugs. This person, whoever it is, hugs me." Steve gives Robin a couple of seconds to look at him in stunned silence and digest his words, then he asks her: "Do I look like I need a hug that bad that someone feels it's their duty to provide one?" "How long has this girl been giving you Fantasy hugs?" Robin asks, her tone poised somewhere between bewildered and worried. "Aside from the fact I don't even know if it's a guy or a gal, it's been… uh… weeks? A month? Maybe more, I'm not sure." "And you never told me a thing?!" she shouts, outraged. "I just did!" Robin smacks the back of her hand on his arm in an offended gesture. "That doesn't count and you know it!"

ੈ✩‧₊ One Step ੈ✩‧₊
Pairing : Seunghan x Gn! Reader
Genre : Idol au, Angst
Song : Happier than ever ( rock version) by Billie Eilish
TW: Depression, cyber bullying, idol life , suide
A/N : This is a very sensitive fic, I wrote this because all that's happening with Seunghan is absolutely not fair, not only him but other idols also suffer. We need to realise they are also human and it's their first time living too.
・゚·:。・゚゚・ ✩ ・゚ ・゚·:。・゚゚・ ・゚·:。・゚゚・ ✩ ・゚ ・゚·:。・゚゚・・゚·:。・゚゚・
The car horns were blaring, the wind forcing the boy to keep his eyes open. Standing on top of the roof edge, his eyes blurred, with tears or with regret, he could not tell. He may have made mistakes in the past, but he wondered how much he could take before he could give up.
His ideal dream of debuting in an idol group, discovering the wonders of the world while touring and singing his lungs out had been reduced to an hope which was being extinguished by some jealous friends of his on the Internet. Seunghan debuted as a member of RIIZE, a group under the biggest entertainment in South Korea, fame finding them before they could even step out of the basement.
It scared him, how he was not afraid to die, rather afraid of being wrong in front of some users on the internet.
The life he sacrificed everything for, snatched away because he had a few moments of joy, but now he was fighting for the courage to live than kill himself. He felt broken, like that last piece in a puzzle that was not fitting. He was only human, 'it was your fault' ringing inside his head. He brought disgrace to his group, he brought disgrace to his family, all would be gone if he took a step. One step to his freedom, one step to his new life, one step to happiness.
"Does it ever stop hurting?"
Seunghan turned around and saw a person's shadow, but the tears flowing made it difficult to make out who it was.
"Of course it does, once the blood seeps out." His voice quavered.
"Go ahead and leave then, everyone does."
"They hated me in life, maybe they could love in death."
"It's worth giving a try to relive."
"Reliving where I don't have to starve myself to sing, carve my name in trophies to redeem myself."
"You failed in living, what makes you think you will succeed in dying."
"I kept running behind success, let this fall make it run after me."
Seunghan could feel a smile creep on his face, the feel of ending it all making the adrenaline rush in his body, the same adrenaline feeling he got before his first ever debut stage. Oh, but look at irony, a smile starting the movie, an even bigger smile to finish the movie. A movie well criticised by those who could never feel the making of it.
"If all you had to do was run, you should have joined a marathon team."
"At least there I would run towards my goal and not away from it."
The person took a few steps forward, hands in pocket due to the cold wind blowing, Seunghan just staring at the person in front of him.
"Is this you speaking or the adrenaline in you speaking because you are standing on the edge?"
Seunghan scoffed at the question, he was considering taking his life right here and this person was taking it as a joke,
"Of course it's me, I won't be standing here because of a dare."
"Well, then I dare you, come down the edge and say you want to jump off, look me in the eyes and say you want to jump off."
"I can say all that from right here."
"I know you can, but just come down once."
"Once you reach the top, it's difficult to come down"
"Then don't look down, look at me, I am here for you."
"I am glad, but it's a little late to be here for me."
Talking made it all the tougher for Seunghan to clear his mind. With a last glance at the person in front of him, he turned facing the city lights and said with confidence,
"Why would I come down when right now I feel the happiest man on top of the world?"
With that he took the step, deaf to the screams of the person behind him, deaf to the car horns blaring, deaf to the screams of his fans on debut, deaf to affections of his parents, deaf to the laughter of his members,
deaf to the little voice in his brain saying "one more chance was all that was needed."

Din Djarin x Reader
My Fandom Master List for Din Stories and more!
A/N: SPOILERS FOR MANDALORIAN SEASON 3! I loved the first episodes so decided to make a little fanfic over Episode One!
Warnings: IMPLIED SMUT, MENTIONS OF SMUT, and angst
Summary: On Nevarro Greef Karga offers (Y/n) and Din a working position and a nice home to become a 'family'. However they both want different things.
"A Home"
Don't you know I'm no good for you?
I've learned to lose you, can't afford to
Tore my shirt to stop you bleedin'
But nothin' ever stops you leavin'
Quiet when I'm comin' home and I'm on my own
I could lie, say I like it like that..
"His name is Grogu." (Y/n) (L/n) and Din Djarin replied in sync.
"If you say so. Now come I want to show you something." High Magistrate Greef Karga waved their corrections and ventured back into his office. He walled around his desk and with one quick hand motion a hologram appears depicting a map of his town.
"There is a beautiful parcel right here down by the flats." Greef points to the sector which lights up correspondingly. (Y/n) eyes carefully evaluated the sector. A perfect home they could make. Nevarro's economy is accelerating beyond what (Y/n) would have imagined. Not only this but they are independent of the New Republic. This area would be for raising their child. It was obviously to Greef that (Y/n) liked the appeal of settling down. However before she could answer Din voiced his wants, as always.
"I appreciate the offer," Din shook his head ," But We have some matters to look after." At this Greef's eyebrows knit.
"I am confused...I thought you both completed your mission but here you are running around with the same little critter." He glanced towards Grogu. The child meanwhile enjoyed his new discovery, the office chair, using his force abilities to spin himself.
"It's more complicated. We completed our quest but a year later Grogu returned to us." Din sighed stopping the chair. Grogu made a noise of protest, "I removed my helmet and now I'm an apostate." He finished. (Y/n) glanced down at the map once more.
Their relationship had been complicated. She had accompanied Din and Grogu since day one. It had been the two, a clan of three, traveling the galaxy in search of a Jedi master. Over this period feelings are bound to form. Many assumed they were a couple and Grogu is their adopted son. That is not far from the truth. While both are quite aware of their feelings neither has yet made a move to become 'official' She remembered vividly the day he removed his helmet, the day they lost Grogu, and they day he finally took her in the bed. To feel him move inside of her. Their lips hunger, deprived and starved. That had been their first and only time in sexual intercourse. After that, it was simple hand-holding, cuddling, and he did not remove his helmet since. But they talked about a future, a family, so when Grogu returned on Tatooine (Y/n) figured this was the galaxy's way of telling her the time is now. Plus Greef is handing them an elegant home for free?!
"Which is all the more reason for you both to stay here. Where you are from, Din, you are an apostate. But here you would be landed gentry." Greef argued. "You two could be stable and this little guy can grow up here. Go to school and be a normal kid."
"It's worth a look." (Y/n) adds Din tilted his head in her direction. "We should go check out the place." If She could see Din's face he would look at (Y/n) in disbelief. How could she be saying this?! Out of all people, (Y/n) would be the only one to understand him. Din is extremely vocal about his want to atone for the crime of removing his helmet.
"No," Din replied voice low and unwavering. The bounty hunters both started at each other in silence unwilling to break. That is one thing Greef knew about them both, too damn stubborn. It felt like hours had passed since Din spoke.
"I-I didn't mean to cause a couples fight." He stutters out.
"We aren't a couple!" (Y/n) and Din both quickly answered. Grogu looked up from his chair with a hand full of red candies.
"I am going with Grogu to look at the parcel. Your beskar ass is more than happy to stay here." (Y/n) replies and shoulder checks Din before picking Grogu up. She turned to Greef who instantly gave her the directions mainly out of fear.
"I said no." Din orders quickly following her out.
"You don't own me!" She yelled on the verge of crying.
"I don't care!" He grabbed her arm pulling her back into his chest. "I want you to marry me. Belong to me and only me!" Din said into her ear. (Y/n) shivers at the idea of being married to Din, being (Y/n) Djarin, raising Grogu, and having his children.
"Then I want this! I need a home. I want a family. I need stability, Din!" She yelled.
"I will give you that but my creed matters!"
"Matters more than me?! More than Grogu?!" (Y/n) growled causing the child to whimper
"Don't bring him into this." Din warned her.
"Why not? You removed your helmet for him. As a sign of your love. Then you know what we did after." (Y/n) suggested in a way Grogu wouldn't know. "But after that nothing. I waited far too long for you finally to admit you want to be with me. I won't marry you. Din, I understand that you feel you have to do this because they took you in and saved you. Made you a Mandalorian. But I figured being with me, with Grogu, and starting a family would mean more. But I guess I was wrong." Din kept silent and slowly let's his grip go.
"I love you. Please don't do this." He begged.
"Do what?! As for a life? For a family! I want this for us Din! I love the Galaxy and traveling but I need a home."
"You and Grogu are my home." Din cups her cheek but (Y/n) pulls away.
"This , us, whatever this is. I'm done." She turned away letting the tears fall leaving him standing there defeated.
Don't you know too much already?
I'll only hurt you if you let me
Call me friend but keep me closer (call me back)
And I'll call you when *my missions* over
It has been a week since they argued. She did not see a trace of Din. Greef on the hand talked about how Din is a complete mess. The man has not left Nevarro's local pub until they kicked him out at the end of the night. (Y/n) tried to be happy living here but without Din to hold her at night...she could not sleep. How selfish was she!? Din loved her and wanted to get married...But their stubbornness got the better of them.
"He needs you." Greef sat down in the dining room chair. Currently, Grogu sat in the highchair as you feed him. "I never would have mentioned it...If I knew it would cause problems."
"No, you did nothing wrong. I felt this way...After Grogu left. Din and I want the same thing but in different ways." Grogu whimpers at his dad's name. "We traveled with Grogu all that time. It wasn't until we left that he finally admitted how he felt. Din removed his helmet and...he was an apostate. They took him in after losing his home. Din almost died but these Mandalorians saved him. He feels dedicated to them but I...I need stability now." (Y/n) frowns.
"I offered him a nice hotel. Din refused. He is located here." Greef gave her an address. "Din is in a cheap motel. Let me have the baby. He needs time with Uncle Greef." The man beems and Grogu squeals knowing he could get away with anything being with Greef.
"Fine. Mind your manners Grogu or else you will be in trouble." (Y/n) tone is motherly she crossed her arms giving the baby a look.
But nothin' is better sometimes
Once we've both said our goodbyes
Let's just let it go
Let me let you go
A knock came on the door and Din quickly opened the door. (Y/n) is caught off guard being met with a pair of soft brown eyes. "Please don't leave me." Din's unfiltered voice almost cause her to fall to her knees and beg his forgiveness. "Please I love you too much." He whispered pulling (Y/n) into a passion-filled kiss. The female melts and becomes putty in his strong arms. She pushed him back and quickly shuts the door. Din groaned feeling her body pressed against his.
"I won't leave you, Din." She responds.
"Let me...try and atone. If I can't then I'll come back here with you and Grogu. We will make a life." He whispered and (Y/n).
"Take me..." She begged. That is all Din needed to hear before making love to her all day long.
