So you know how Hades and Luzbel met in my AU (Hades mentored Luzbel, they fell in love, had two kids, and ruled Pluto together until Luz killed his brother Elohim and they broke up) But how'd they meet in yours? I think that since there's lots of Underworld-realm rulers, like La Muerte and Akrinok and all that jazz, maybe they have regular meetings and Luzbel was there to represent for his pops Chernabog and then he and Hades shared a look and Hades was like "Take this one to bed or lose him forever" But that's just me, how did they actually meet?

The Baron looked at Gabriel longingly. He almost had to convince himself. Maybe this time would be different. Maybe this time, nobody would have to die. But he was so used to this failing he didn’t want to put his hopes up too high. Gabriel was beautiful, his red hair flared around him like a lions mane. One touch couldn’t hurt? Right? He cautiously reached out to move a strand of hair from Gabriel’s face, careful not to wake him. He was of supernatural blood. This was going to work, Friedrich told himself . With a sigh, he rose up from the side of the bed he was sitting at and began to walk away when he felt someone pulling him back.

A soft, sleepy “Friedrich?” came from Gabriel’s mouth. He stood frozen, not expecting to be caught. “What are you-“ came the sleepy voice again. He had to think of an excuse. Fast. Not wanting Gabriel to see that he caught him by surprise, he turned around. “I didn’t mean to wake you, I apologize. I wanted to check up on you.” Smooth. Good comeback.

“..oh”

“I’ll leave you be now. Get some rest mein engel.”

And then a word he didn’t expect. “..stay?” Every instinct in his body wanted to. He wanted to stay. Wanted to feel Gabriels arms around him. He hoped Gabriel couldn’t see the conflict going on in his heart.

“I -“

“Please?”

Damn him.

Ya know, I think the whole Gabriel/Grace ship was just a little too easy to spot. I was just.. able to tell they were supposed to be endgame but it just felt like a cop-out. IDK how to explain it…

But yeah, I find Malia/Gabriels and Friedrichs/Gabriel’s relationship are a WHOLE lot more interesting to explore, especially in a narrative point. The three all have parallels to each other, it’s really interesting. Also “ofc the het ship gets the grace (haha, I see what you did there), the respect, and the framing it as a tragedy and the gay ship doesn’t bc oh no, the cus, white her male players are gonna revolt!” is funny to me considering most of the fans I’ve spoken to on this site specifically, are WOMEN. But yeah I just think GK3 was too rushed and that’s why it was underwhelming, I just wish Jane and the team had more time to flesh out everything and maybe it would have been better.

But the prospect of GHOSTS being the theme of GK4?! OH THE DELICIOUS ANGST. (In my head it’s titled “Gabriel Knight: Ghosts of the Past, leave me alone I’m manifesting). I WISH we could’ve seen what that was like, maybe Gabriel can FINALLY admit to himself that he feels guilty (maybe).

Also: How exactly does “The Temptation” link GK3 and GK4???

So I went on Youtube again. Clicked on GK2, picked the first Twitch stream I could find and BOOM, another player picking up on the oh so very subtle gay “undertones” (They’re more blunt about it than ANY BioWare game was about a MLM pairing until ME3 in 2012. Gabriel Knight: The Beast Within came out in 1995.) between our hero and the much tormented but dazzling antagonist.

Frigging Sierra Online and blessed Jane Jensen told a story like this DECADES before it became “accepted” - bc there’s still quite a bit of pushback, sadly - only to then pull out at the LAST SECOND and do a No Homo swerve because this WAS 1995 and I have never been more INSULTED by an Epilogue cutscene in a game BEFORE or SINCE.

“I don’t want to be like that!” Gabriel says mournfully after waxing lyrical about the Baron to her (Which she won’t buy, but why did she ask about him then? GRRRRRRRR) while completely ignoring her doe eyes and cuddles (C’mon, Gracie, let the man grieve!)

And THEN they had to add insult to injury by not only having Gabriel regress to his sleazy, sometimes downright creepy towards women (Poor Madeline, voiced by a baby Jennifer Hale, that’s right, COMMANDER SHEPARD was in this!) but completely ignore how much this experience has rattled Gabriel’s deepest beliefs, principles and, dare I say it, his straightness. Would Tim Curry have refused to voice a bi/pan Gabriel? Given that he was in The Rocky Horror Picture show I somehow doubt it. The only GK2 reference I remember from him in GK3 is a dumb hairy knuckles joke. GK3 really is the darkest timeline, even though Jane Jensen using the Holy Grail/Jesus bloodline storylines before Dan Brown did sure was clever.

All that being said, I am DELIGHTED to see more people discover this GEM of a game. For all its FMV jankiness and a couple of strange puzzles, the storyline and Peter J. Lucas’ mesmerizing performance elevate it above…A LOT OF GAMES even today. It’s like less than ten bucks on GOG, get it, PLAY IT AND CRY WITH ME PLZ.

Anyway, bc I was a loud fangal in the early oughts, I’ll leave this here for you and esp. @poptart-cat-78 and @imperiius, it’s a lil’ video I made when I started writing my fix it fic. The editing is…what it is, but I’m still proud of it.

So quick question: Where did Loki Junior (Lj) come from? Is he a Loki variant who was taken in by normal Loki or was he made by the science facility who's out to destroy the gods? Also, how did Hades come across Lei, since he also seems to have adopted her?

Lei Lei aka me^^ is a Loki variant and Lj is a lab created clone

The form and a plush of myself as Angela AngelWolf from both Poppy Playtime & Smiling Critters.

In the form of bigger bodies, it definitely looked comparable to CatNap's form, and i obviously did my job to look exactly like CatNap's form as a 9 - 10 ft and 6 inches beast. In the plush version, the scent stays the same. Exactly part of the Red Smoke the critter blew.
