I don't want to end someones fun, but more childlike, funny and androginous dionysus is a later interpretation of the deity, I'm not saying this Representation is not acurate it is!, but older interpretations have him with a beard and usullaly in the 20-30 region, so If you want also to draw him in that way, there's nothing wrong, as drawing him transmac, amdrogynious, etc....

Dionysous is a deity who went trough an increíble transformation, from a god of madness, intoxication and wine and being bearded and horned middle-age Man (Orpheus dionysous, the Maeneads being his cult of intoxicated followers), to a more softy, less madness and more getting high with wine and hedonism, (the Midas myth).

So yeah Dionysus is a shape shifter in history that has had the best anti-aging routine and went from 20-30 something to sometimes a literal child, hahaha

having delved into greek mythology tumblr a bit i've seen a lot of things like "transmasc dionysus" "nonbinary dionysus" etc but if i told people about my own personal perspective (transfem dionysus), most of them would probably want to rip me to shreds. which is, i think, exactly what i should be going for

also everyone is talking about how Dionysus will be the next cypher/mic drop bc he represents gender and sexuality and stuff and how the song will probably adress the stigma of the boys wearing makeup/androgynous clothes, WHICH I'M ALL FOR, but noone is talking about the fact that my dude Dyonisus also stood for the opressed and was the god of the people, banned from worshipping for centuries because he was against the power of the gods! If that isn't cypher material I don't even know

wanted to base this design off of the later portrayals of Dyonisus where he's very feminine/androgynous and a flirty youth cause most modern portrayals just make him a greasy old drunk lmao

There is reason they deny gender diversity existed, and that's because it is a gateway to transcendental power, which is the power of God. They have become heavy handed with words of identity because they are panicking we'll realize the trick.

I think OP might be kin. I'm admittedly desperate for community to form, as it's not right to keep us confined in "LGBTQ" when we are an indigenous people returning to imminence. I love my fellow queer, yet I do not love the socio-eco subversion the libs use to choke the LGBTQ into supporting patriarchy. I do not love patriarchy, which is why I do not love feminism. The women of our tribes were warriors - Amazons - and the bindings of words are keeping them from their power, which is me.
