In my previous post i talked about how I have a lotta scrapped MV ideas, well may as well dump some designs i've made based on songs over the years because like I probably wouldn't post these otherwize

for the record don't expect me to do anything with any of these, also these are from old to new some of these date back to early 2022 and it shows

This one i posted a storyboard for actually its An Aliens I Love You by Utsu-P.

I gave young Rin a sakura motif with her dress because of miku and rin meeting under a sakura tree, teen miku has a pink ribbion and hairclip to continue this. both rins bow and mikus outfit get darker outfits overtime to sybolize the song getting darker. I also gave adult rin the future rin hair. Miku's "alien" form is more or less how its described in the song tho i was lazy and didn't draw the 4 arms in the refs.

also Lily is Rins mom in this yup there she is indeed.

i gave them both very cute and elegent outfits i think it matches the vibe of the song. The starry outfits are the real highlight. if you wonder how I drew em over and over i just copy pasted the stars on their dresses.

This one is Corona by Utsu-P no idea why i did it its probably not even in my top 20 Utsu-P songs i just had some brainworms that wore off. I finished like a minute of it I guess.

I really like rin's outfit. "goth metal astronaut" is such a weirdly specific concept but she absolutley nailed it. 10/10 desin

GETTING INTO THE RELATIONSHIP

you guys have probably known each other a long time, because homebody does not fall for just anyone, so if you become the object of his affections, you better feel HONORED. hehe honored 

i feel like it takes him a lot of time to actually accept his feelings for you are beyond platonic. the main reason he falls for you is probably your consistency in his life since thats something he tends to lack. like his mom? gone. his dad? kicked him out of the only place he ever knew. his life is filled with major changes so if you guys have known each other since childhood then consistency is key

once he realizes he likes you he kinda panics because what if you don’t accept him? what if you leave? even worse, what if you leave because he likes you? so now he’s panicking, and naturally, as one does, Zuko avoids his problems. You, being the problem. And his emotions, but he is in denial so

definitely talks to his uncle about the two of you A LOT, especially when he is first figuring out his feelings and trying to figure out what to do about them

his uncle is an elite wingman, constantly tries to get the two of you to be alone in the same space or get information out of you in regards to you

when it comes to confessing i can see a few situations

situation one is that zuko confesses completely by accident, freaks out, disappears, avoids you even more, like homie is a mess. after you get fatally injured, or maybe when he thinks you are asleep, or he just kinda blurts it out in conversation when you guys are doing something domestic. regardless, it is entirely by accident, and now zuko is freaking the heck out.

when you corner him you gotta confess super fast and handle his anxieties because he is super worried about you hating him now even though it is the opposite.

situation two is equally chaotic, but far less dancing around the feelings since you confess! congrats! you have more balls than me! im so proud! good job bb!

when you confess, its probably late at night, a comfortable silence between the two of you, or maybe he’s ranting about something, like how dumb the concept of tea is idk. regardless this is DOMESTIC, so it’s soft and cute and you are just like you know what screw it this nerd is so easily flustered by me maybe he likes me back! look at us cuddling like a couple! might as well make it official!

DURING THE RELATIONSHIP

dating during a war is hard so when y’all first start dating, probably towards the end of the war when he finally joins the Gaang, its gonna be really chaotic and you guys are still gonna be sorting through everything, like what kinda couple do you wanna be? neither of you know

kisses are rare during this time, especially since zuko is a generally private person who doesn’t really do PDA much, especially since he wants to avoid teasing and judgement from others. he’s a real people pleaser at the end of the day, he literally spent three years of his life looking for someone the world thought just disappeared permanently because he wanted his dad’s validation.

when you two do kiss, it tends to be a night in your shared tent, even then Zuko is weary of Toph’s seismic senses.

his kisses tend to be soft and sensual, he really just wants to take his time and enjoy it. however, bb does have a temper so you can expect some spice on occasion when he gets frustrated.

this comes later on in the relationship, once the war is resolved, but that just brings about new problems! like having to deal with the new fire lord who is always busy as your boyfriend!

especially at the beginning, when he’s newly crowned and everything is busy and new and he’s struggling with being organized, he rarely has time for you. however, you are likely his right hand, main advisor, general, whatever your area of expertise is he will find you a position in the castle, unless you tell him you want to stay out of politics. though, deep down, he wants to give you a position so he can spend time with you

once things calm down and he’s got being fire lord in the bag, he starts blocking in time during his day to actually take you out on dates and stuff

at one point just disappears for the whole day with you and everyone thinks he’s been kidnapped until they realize you aren’t around either

speaking of intimacy, he is a touch starved boy so when you start giving him love do not stop, never deprive him of cuddles he gets grumpy

MARRIAGE N STUFF

zuko took the throne YOUNG he was like 16, so he is not proposing until y’all are at least adults, but i imagine that he is probably gonna wanna date you for like at least three years before proposing

he wants to make sure you are there to stay even if you’ve been around since childhood

there are two ways he is gonna propose here

situation one is where he kinda just does it,,, randomly? like out of nowhere he realizes that w o w he wants to marry you, he wants to spend the rest of his life with you and dedicate everything to you because you are HIS forever person

so he’s kinda just laying with you in the morning, nice soft kisses here and there, will not let you leave the bed and you are definitely complaining, especially if you have a position in the palace and need to get to work

regardless its a soft moment, there’s light filtering in through the window in your shared room, and its shining on your face, and yeah you are lowkey a mess because its the morning but you are just,, so,, beautiful??

and you start telling him about your plans for the, playing with his hair and stuff, and he’s listening to his heartbeat when he breaks from your hold and looks up at you and is just like

it's not just kids calling adam/tadashi abusive, i've seen adults say the same thing, even fans of adam, that it's abusive and rapey, i'm not sure how to feel because i disagree but their posts sound very authoritive :/

Meanwhile Utsumi is out there like gushing about these two 24/7 bc they’re her faves and says stuff like “originally Tadashi was supposed to say “Woof” after “You’re gonna be my dog for the rest of their lives”, but it didn’t make to the final cut, I thought about his face expression a lot in that moment, but the only thing I was absolutely sure of is how utterly happy he was about what Adam said.” and explains for absolute morons that what Adam said about framing Tadashi was just a bullshit to test him lmao

I once again do not know why people don’t get that this ships thing is that they’re literally what another needs and despite the fact that they both have their own problems, they’re each other’s way out. Because Adam wants Tadashi to learn to stand up for himself, while Tadashi wants Adam to learn that love should bring happiness, not pain. If you don’t want complicated characters, once again, watch smth with a rating 5+ instead. Complicated and problematic characters are not always villains and some adult relationships are definitely not an abuse, if they’re canonically into power play. 

Also I don’t know how a person who so carelessly throws words like “rapey” can be considered “sounding authoritive”, but I highly recommend to try forming your own point of view, based on facts/observations and your own experience. Also in books for example there's always easier to get characters motives, bc they give you to say the whole picture, so depends on how many you’ve read you can learn to detect it without it “being explained to you” pretty easy. If you don’t have such skill or don’t want to develop it, you can wait for the creator’s commentary, you can usually get it to many animes/mangas these days, they will tell you what they meant by some scenes and about their thought process, while creating it, who, why and where. Of course not every creator has that much love and attention to their characters and story, there are some where the creators also know nothing about their character, besides what was shown, but Utsumi is not one of those, so you can always be ready, that if she picked a fave, she thought everything through from the very beginning.

Also this fandom (and pls normal SK8 fans, do not take offense in this, I mean I’m technically also in this fandom, although not really since I had to create just a bubble and don’t go anywhere else, since it’s that bad) is like 90% absolute the most painfully idiotic ppl I’ve ever seen, who can’t even read between the lines and say the dumbest stuff I’ve ever heard, that is so embarrasssing, that they make you embarrassed about even being part of this, and 50% of them are too young to even get stuff, that wasn’t meant for them to get, so just, for real, I’m just suggesting the same thing I did, for your own health, pick ppl for your tl, whose brains are intact and do not even go “out there”, like, you’re only gonna get mad. I mean, if ppl who aren’t even in the fandom get mad about stuff they write, you’re gonna be mad x2 and sadly you can’t do anything about this amount of stupidity, rarely stuff like this do happen to some fandoms. Yes, you can’t enjoy this one, sadly. I think my eyes popped out like in a cartoon, bc everyone who was involved in this drama, wrote stuff like “can i make fun of them or are they 14″, thinking they’re just well, you know, young, but then were shocked too xD. I just wish this person/ppl just wrote “we excluded Adam bc we’re too dumb to get his character we hate him”, at least I’d respect you for your honesty in this case. But no, you had to dig your own grave and become the new official representative of “SK8 fandom is the dumbest”. Congrats really.

I do not know, if ppl lie about their age or not when it comes to those. If not and they’re really adults who think so, it’s fascinating really. Fascinating how this fandom got all the idiots in once. I mean, being a stupid fandom of teens is one thing, being a stupid fandom in general is just sad.

Am I sad that so little ppl got the actual plot and the message creators tried to send? Yes, absolutely. Not the first time tho it happens, with Utsumi’s faves especially, but also in general these days. So just find someone who posts the good stuff and doesn’t get involved, listen to VAs, read creator’s interviews and live happily ever after, bc they adore both Adam and Tadaai. They literally told in the last interview what I was telling under my YT vid. This is just also hilarious to me, bc to be honest Tadaai situation wasn’t even that hard to analyse in the first place, even without the creators commentaries. Like we’re not on a Cannes Film Festival here.

And once again you can like or dislike Adam, it’s your choice, ppl have different tastes, but writing the most utterly idiotic things about his character that make no sense whatsoever, considering the canon story, is just plain moronic. Just say that you don’t like him, and pls, don’t embarrass yourself.

Idw Prowl is an evil SOB (took him two years to send the Wreckers to Garrus-9 and help Maxy (who was protecting all the war crimes the Bots did), put Maxy’s torturer and a war criminal on board the Lost Light cuz why not, sent Pharma to Delphi knowing it was DJD territory)

Prowl... Prowl’s creation and competence in his area of work is astounding. He is brilliant, creative, and defiantly apathetic of this world. But, he is very human in his own way. IDW Prowl is selfish, yet not. He is a unique in that aspect because most people make decisions like his for the sole reason of benefiting themselves. But Prowl’s sole reason of existing is to create PEACE. 

Peace. Peace can only be done when people are complacent, happy, and satisfied. When things are stationary. Stable. 

But life is never stable. Elements desire to form bonds, yet are almost always leaning towards to instability... Prowl’s form of PEACE is a world where there is no fighting. But everything sentient requires to fulfill its desires. As long as there is desire, people will fight. 

A world of PEACE would be a world of full control, there are no surprises, no change. Safety, routines, and constants. No creativity, no development... nothing. stagnant. 

But I must admire Prowl’s tenacity and dedication to this world! 

He sacrifices everything for the sake of the directive, preserve cybertron, PEACE. He sacrifices his morals (Robot Gets Bullied By a Human), his dignity (Recent News, Cop Accepts Orgy For The Means of Establishing Peace, his body (Recent News, Cop gets Molested by A Spider for The Autobot Cause), and of course, thousands of lives (Not Recent News). :D Prowl respects and understands that there will always be chaos and instability, and he is so very flexible around it all! He literally can maximize everything and anything he has. He is the embodiment of consequentialism with a lil dash of politics. I wish my group project members were 1% as productive as him! Prowl tries to put everything black and white, and he gets upset when things get far more tricky, and wants to get everything in control so people can stay safe and remain in peace and not fight! And that’s a respectable goal! Control can be good, it means one understands and is able to retain themselves and the thing they are controlling. But Prowl doesn’t want to accept that there are things out of his control. And Prowl likes to think he’s justified when he controls the uncontrollable. 

I mean, yeah, if he didn’t do what he did, the autobots would have been six feet under A LOT EARLIER. Optimus is not a good leader, preserving organic life over his own soldiers? Psh. Look at Spike, he’s got valid points and can I understand why he left the ‘bots. Prowl’s probably thinking everyday, DAMN, OP, WHY R U SO DUMB. LISTEN WE NEED TO FEED OUR SOLDIERS AND PRIORITIZE OUR SPECIES LIVES INSTEAD OF THIS FUCKING CARBON BASED CIRCLE. HELLO??? And literally Prowl could have been like I’m gonna get ya assassinated so I CAN HAVE IT MY WAY. But Prowl was BORN for the RULES. To follow, to MAKE PEACE. Killing the prime figurehead is against that, even if it would make his life way easier! (hence, not that selfish and also sad that your life is the rules. That’s a short leash, but he makes due)

Honestly I feel bad for Prowl. Must suck to be so big brain that everyone hates you when you say the truths (but also you could learn some more tricks from Jazz to be nicer and hide the truth, but that’s scary because a nicer prowl means more people he can trick and use. Thanks Prowl for being so straightforward! Now people can avoid you easier). He's so straightforward about things that need to be done, he’s in constant denial about the grey area of life!

That’s why when Spike slapped Prowl with reality slaps, Prowl lost some of his shit. Remember, nearly everyone had the edgy depressed time in their teens or young adult years where you realize the world is truly unfair and nothing is black and white? Yeah. Slap that on a 6+ million year old robot with a battle computer and is capable of big brain CPU-age, and was literally built for the sole purpose of enforcing rules and making peace? And no one really cared about Prowl enough to understand him and his background. So Prowl goes through his angst moment alone with his huge titties, frustrated. THIS. IS. WHY. YOU. COMMUNICATE. YA DINGUS. 

Prowl doesn’t become a school shooter like Pharma cuz hes got bigger brain and a lot more power and control over himself, but he literally becomes Shadow The Hedgehog (Even if the world’s against me I’ll fight like I’ve always have). HE’S GONE ROGUE. MA’AM, SIR, THE FUCKING OREO COOKIE HAS TRANSFORMED AND ROLLED OUT.  like. OP was the one thing holding prowl back, which was good! But now prowl’s on the roll and bumblebee is too nice and passive to hold him back. + the bombshell brainwash? feels so bad. being prowl sucks. because Prowl is a necessary evil. 

At least he’s wonderfully blunt about his goal to create a peaceful cybertron, which makes it easier if you want to avoid him or smth. meanwhile you have fake people IRL that smile their way through and then slit your throat and you won’t even know it was them (hey jazz, no offense, but that’s what spec ops does). Fakers are the scariest enemy, but Prowl is still a threat, just not as big as a someone who fluffs you up on a balloon and then pops it. Prowl would just be like, hey, you’re really useful, come over here in my white van i wanna show you something and then maybe you get destroyed. But hey! You were the one with the highest chance of surviving compared to other people! Isn’t that great? You’re so skilled WOW. (Prowl gets punched. Again!) Prowl represents the necessary evil in society. We WILL ALWAYS HAVE EVIL people in this world. But Prowl is a far better evil than people who do evil for their own selfish reasons. It’s like how we have law enforcers and politicians . It’s basically giving them legal rights to do illegal things (lmao). BUT we need them regardless. We need those people to get their hands dirty, possibly killed, so that people can live in innocence and peace. 

I don’t think Prowl ever realized that he was a necessary evil, and when Spike showed him that, he was bitter. But he accepted it. Which I respect because most people can’t be bothered to understand themselves and just throw themselves in denial, and point fingers for their flaws. Prowl sucks up and understands who he is, and he makes the best of it to achieve his goal.  I mean, honestly? Prowl is probably a miracle worker. Not in a Ratchet sense. But look at the way modern governments run, nothing gets done, everything is stalled because no one has the guts to make sacrifices. Prowl would have gotten a shit ton of things done, man, and take quick efficient action. Even if he sacrifices many things for it.  (Warning. I do not condone any taking of lives, NO ONE has the right to judge whenever a person should live or die.)  Prowl reminds me of 秦始皇 (Qin Shi Huang), the king who unified China and sacrificed millions to make the Great Wall, canals, and road systems that last to this day. If it wasn’t for these accomplishments, China wouldn’t have been what it is today. Was it a good thing? For the future residents of China? Hell yeah. But the costs? Those are sins that can never be erased, and they are horrible and shouldn't be done ever again. Was it necessary? Perhaps. But that’s another discussion. Is Prowl evil? Depends on your definition of evil. Perhaps he’s justified, perhaps in his world, he’ll go down as the Qin Shi Huang of the Cybertronians. Regardless, Prowl like Pharma, is an EXCELLENT example to study on public ethics, and administrative officials should analyze him and learn from his mistakes and sins.  I think Prowl is not evil in a sense that he wishes to harm others, but evil in a sense of his apathy. Prowl is a necessary component to a functional society (someone to plot, to use people, to enforce rules even if some are sacrificed, someone who can get their hands dirty). He lives a terrible and sad fate, and I do not wish ANYONE to live a life like Prowl’s or look up to Prowl. Yes, he’s so clever and brilliant, but that kind of power will make you the loneliest person on Earth.

Thanks Prowl for taking the entire load of sin on your shoulders! Big MVP! You get nothing from the world except hate and contempt.  I would go on about him more but I have IRL stuff to do. I love Prowl as an example to tell people that MODERATION. COMMUNICATION. AND COMPASSION are important factors to have a healthy and good mental state. Prowl is the perfect example of someone who doesn’t want to empathize (haha so many people are like this today), who doesn’t want to try to use more braincells and friends help to make better plans that are more moderate and not extreme, and who doesn’t want to talk to anyone thinking its a waste of time or have difficulty explaining things.  BUT I LOVE G1 PROWL because he has far more patience and manners, and doesn’t take a darker, route for his goals. awhohdohd he’s baby,,, i wish all cops had patience and manners and in general open-minded yet cautious enough not to be taken advantage of,,,, perhaps then we wouldn’t have so much polarization and fighting with authority in this world....

like to add to the fact that theyre all officially adults now, all night’s concept seemed more of a transition into something new, of easing into maturity, of calmness and slowly getting used to ‘new beginnings’—smth like spring ish??

but based on all the similar comparisons between all night and blue flame’s teaser pics u can see all the similarities but the much darker undertones in blue flame ...... like proof that okay Now theyve settled and fully matured into capable young men ! but everythings not always all sunshine and spring and a walk in the park especially in adulthood, where everything’s just always a lot more complicated and sometimes even a lil darker u know . and maybe this is them trying cope with it or trying to tell us that growing up is indeed a wonderful thing but it definitely wont always be pretty

and what if in all night ....in the mv ..... when sanha was surrounded by roses in IV packs and the last scene where he took off the glass lid thing over the last rose ..... what if the roses represented him still trying to hang onto his last remaining bits of youth but obviously he cant always keep it alive ... so all the roses in blue flame are dead now...or black to represent like dying youth .. and then in the blue flame teaser u see someone sitting in the middle of a blanket fort with their head down and u kinda see a silhoutte of someone smaller with their head ducked within the bigger silhoutte and if that doesnt speak volumes about anything even youth related . idk wht else will

Howdy, sci-fi anon I just wanna mention, I think I'm gonna denote the general to like,, captain or smth, bc honestly I know nothing about military rank and apparently general is high up? Anyway, I wanna talk about the human, who is the most different then all the characters. Now, you may be thinking it's because she's the only human, or that she's from the past, but the reason she's the most different is because she never wanted change or adventure. She's from the far past, at a time when 1/??

“ The earth was officially ruined, humans'd used up the resources, so there were very few humans left, her family were one of the last on earth. When she was younger, it was ok, but as she got older, the earth just got worse, till it was uninhabitable. The families on earth evacuated to a base made on the moon, where they could stay until they were able to move to a different planet. The human had a big family, she was the oldest of her family, the second oldest of her siblings was too young to really remember what the earth was like, but she did. She never wanted to leave the earth, even in the state it was in, she never liked change. Most families ended up living on the moon base for a while, the human wanted to stay because it was the closest to the earth she could be. So she stayed on as an adult, despite everyone else leaving, one by one, till she was the only one left. It was just her and the AI of the base for years.

 One day, there's this meteor storm incoming, so she Won't be able to go above surface for a while, so the AI suggests she go into a stasis booth till the storm passes, when they'll wake her up. The meteor storm is a lot worse then either of them thought it'd be though, and one hits the control centre for the AI, destroying it. The base, being solar powered, kept running, but no one was ever there to wake her up, so the years go by, no one's heard from that base in years anyway, her family assumes she finally left, but why haven't they heard

From her? Maybe she's mad at them for leaving when she didn't, either way, they keep an eye out for her, but never find her... Millions of years go by, the human race rises and falls, eventually becoming extinct, different species, alien species, discover space travel, and eventually universal travel is accessible throughout the galaxy. But no one comes to what was the earth, not on purpose, and the moon is completely uninhabited, so she stays there, frozen in time Till there's a ship crash A passing ship is attacked, the engine destroyed, the crew are killed on impact, well, almost of the crew A newly promoted member of the crew is the only survivor, and they send out distress calls and mission reports, but no one comes, they eventually find an ancient underground base, with a stasis pod, maybe they can figure out the technology and then they won't be so alone? Also, the human is intersex and probably bi but idk yet”

how is kevin doing? is he okay? i miss him

I was going to give you some meme-y headcanons but then I realized that Kevin could actually like. Single-handedly fix the plot of Voltron. So time to actually get down and flesh my boy’s backstory out? Lol. So this is less headcanons, and more pre-story plot.

I’ll be retconning some things about Kevin, now that we know more about Keith’s canon family.

(Explanation as to who the fuck Kevin is, as well as his tag)

Kevin is Keith’s older alien half-brother. He’s about… 8-10 years older. He and Keith haven’t seen each other in uh… a while. But they’re still close. Once they get all the yelling out of the way.

Keith and Kevin’s mom (who I will now refer to as ‘Ma Kogane’ because I think it’s funny) is a member of the BoM who volunteered to take a ten year long undercover mission. In reality, she was pregnant with Kevin, and wanted a place to hide.

As a side-note, I headcanon the BoM as kind of relying on legacies to keep going, since members die at an alarmingly fast rate and it takes too long to fully vet someone + train them to adopt the ‘victory or death’ mentality.

So essentially, all BoM are encouraged to have kids, and those kids are pretty much immediately inducted into the ranks of the Blades the moment they’re born.

Ma Kogane is one of those legacy kids, and while she’s proud of her work as an agent of Marmora, she doesn’t want that life for her kid(s). So when she finds out she’s pregnant with Kevin, she decides to run without actually running away. Kolivan, who is either in charge already or at least second-in-command, knows what she’s doing but lets her hide because they’re bros (Listen… Kolivan as Keith’s blood-uncle or as his family friend-uncle or as his godfather is. So funny.)

It helps that they both know she’ll be coming back after those ten years are up. Once a Blade, always a Blade. Loyalty or death.

Ma Kogane is either half-Galra, half-(insert Alien race that can shapeshift), or she has some sort of cloaking device that allows her to look human. She shows up on Earth in her first trimester pretty much miserable, wracked with guilt because she’s essentially betraying her family/cult by hiding her child away, and she’s also betraying her child because she knows she’ll have to abandon them one day. She’s also entirely alone, and has no idea how to actually be a mother since her own parents died when she was fairly young herself (The BoM have a high turnover rate for agents lol)

AS AN ASIDE I love the idea of Ma Kogane essentially space-googling ‘average human on earth’ and then disguising herself as a 28yo Han Chinese woman. That’s really funny to me hgsjkdghsd.

ANYWAY Ma Kogane lands in America because of Course, and finds a Certain Shack In The Desert.

Since her mission is to ostensibly monitor and report the technological capacities of the human race, etc, it makes sense for her to be in reasonably close proximity to the Garrison. U feel. She doesn’t like it though, she’s found what the humans call ‘Netflix’ and has watched their borderline-hilarious-if-it-wasn’t-abusive-and-cruel movies about aliens, and she hates the idea of putting her child potentially at risk. But the Blades aren’t supposed to know she’s fighting for two, and so she goes. 

Ma Kogane occasionally heads into a nearby town to procure supplies + gossip (she calls it information but. it’s gossip lol) from the local folks… One of whom happens to be TEXAS KOGANE (Keith and Kevin’s dad :>)

Texas Kogane is a mechanic or smth, and Ma Kogane is honestly impressed by his ability to repair engines… Especially engines that are alien in origin.

Ma Kogane 100% flirts by having Texas Kogane fix her hoverbike’s engine. One, it’s practical. Two, Texas Kogane is proving his worth/value as a potential lover by demonstrating his technical skills. Three, she gets to impress him with a sick-ass hovercycle. Four, he gets to impress her.

Yeah he’s 100% aware of what she’s doing and he’s into it.

Also, yes, that means the hoverbike we saw Keith riding in the first episode belonged to his mom, and his parents worked on it together :’)

Anyway, insert a Lifetime movie here, everyone in this tiny ass town becomes overly invested in the bumbling romance brewing between these two. God, it’s like Luke and Lorelai from Gilmore Girls. Keith’s parents are Luke and Lorelai from Gilmore Girls. I love this au.

Speed forward a few months later, Kevin’s due date is approaching and Ma Kogane obviously can’t go to a hospital for the birth. So she’s gonna pop a squat in her shack, but she’ll need help since she isn’t 100% equipped to deliver a baby by herself. And she trusts Texas Kogane well-enough (she death drops to avoid the ‘l’ word), he’s even bought her baby clothes (bless his heart; Kevin will shred through those clothes in a month), so she drops the alien bomb.

After Texas Kogane recovers from his Holy Fucking Shit moment, he’s surprisingly cool with things and is there when Kevin is born. Ma Kogane gives him the honor of naming her son, and he panics and blurts out ‘Kevin’, which unfortunately sticks.

Texas Kogane eventually convinces Ma Kogane that maybe a shack in the middle of the desert isn’t the greatest place to raise a baby, so they put a cloaking device on Kevin to make him look like a normal human baby and go into town to raise him together.

They insist they’re just friends. Everyone looks at them, looks at baby Kevin who is sitting in a stroller Ma Kogane bought in clothes Texas Kogane’s mom made, and raises an eyebrow.

Kevin’s first word is ‘dada’ and Texas Kogane drops dead. (Just kidding! That happens later.)

It takes them like four or five years to ‘officially’ start dating. They’re Keith’s parents. Of Course it takes them that long to pull their heads out of their asses.

Ma Kogane told Texas Kogane all about the Blades and how she has to go back in a few years in order to protect them all from Zarkon a few days after Kevin was born. Texas Kogane wasn’t happy about it, but he eventually accepted her decision and continued to love and support her whenever she started getting torn up about it. They don’t tell Kevin about any of it, though. And they don’t tell Keith either (though that’s mainly because neither of them ever gets the chance).

Ma Kogane’s time limit on Earth is a big factor in why it took them forever to actually get together. No one wants to know there’s an end date on your life together.

Both end up regretting the time they lost in the end.

Keith is 100% an accident. To be fair, they had no idea Galra and humans were genetically compatible so. Oops?

He comes out looking entirely human and his parents breathe a sigh of relief. Kevin wants to know why his baby brother looks so ugly. 

They get to be a happy family for about a year or two before Ma Kogane has to go back to the Blades. She knows if she doesn’t report in at her specified time she’ll be hunted, and now she has two children to hide from the Blades. She can’t risk running. So she goes.

Kevin complains that he’s too old to cuddle with his parents - he’s ten, that’s practically an adult!! - but Ma Kogane insists and they all climb into bed together. She spends the entire night awake with her husband (though they never actually got around to marrying) watching over their two sleeping kids. She’s gone by morning.

Keith is too young to really understand everything, but Kevin isn’t and he’s furious. 

By the time Kevin shows up in the show he’s in his twenties and a little bit more even-tempered, but right now he’s ten and his mom is gone (he refuses to say the ‘a’ word) and his dad won’t stop lying and Keith won’t stop crying and no one is doing anything.

At his lowest moment, Kevin blames Keith for their mom leaving. They don’t talk about it. Kevin doesn’t want to know if Keith knows.

His relationship with Texas Kogane is… pretty strained after that. Kevin runs away when he’s fifteen, determined to find his mom. He’ll find her, drag her back home, and they can be a happy family again, just like he remembers.

Texas Kogane dies when he’s seventeen. Kevin isn’t there. Keith is.
