These are amazing rules to live by. :) 1. There are plenty of ways to enter a pool. The stairs is not one of them. 2. Never cancel dinner plans by text message. 3. Don’t knock it ‘til you try it. 4. If a street performer makes you stop walking, you owe him a buck. 5. Always use ‘we’ when referring to your home team or your government. 6. When entrusted with a secret, keep it. 7. Don’t underestimate free throws in a game of ‘horse’. 8. Just because you can doesn’t mean you should. 9. Don’t dumb it down. 10. You only get one chance to notice a new haircut. 11. If you’re staying more than one night, unpack. 12. Never park in front of a bar. 13. Expect the seat in front of you to recline. Prepare accordingly. 14. We normally do not post stuff like this, but we are very saddened by the loss of Cory.  We thought this was a great post from one human to another.  Live.  Love.  Laugh.

Cory is so deserving of that place in everyone’s hearts. He was one of the most generous and kind people that I have ever met. He had a smart, curious mind, he was an enormous talent. He was loving to not only me, but my family.

LifeSupport Tip #22: Dusting with a Pillow Case We clean weekly from top to bottom, however it seems like we always forget about dusting the ceiling fan until there are dust streamers spinning about. But now, with this new tip, we are more excited to exile the dust from our fan. Simply slide each blade, one at a time, into a pillowcase and wipe off the blade with the inside of the pillowcase. All the dust, dirt, and debris will stay inside. Then simply shake out the case outside and throw it in the laundry bin.

LifeSupport Tip #21: Seat Covers for the Face We know what you're thinking, "what?!" But hear us out, seat covers are the best thing to use if your face is oily and sweaty AND they are usually always available in public places. So listen up girls and GUYS, next time you are on a date or about to interview for a job, just remember to blot your face with a toilet seat cover before it's time to impress. It's most always available and best yet, it's sanitary; it's what's protecting you from the toilet seat's germs.

LifeSupport Tip 19: Repel Ants with Blue Dawn Ants drive us NUTS! Sometimes no matter what you do, they are still all over the place, well not anymore! Spray counter-tops, cupboards and any other area where you see ants with a solution of 1 tablespoon of Dawn in a spray bottle of water. Wipe dry. The slight residue of Dawn that remains will not be a problem at all for kids or pets, but ants hate it. Should you see a trail of ants, go ahead and hit them with the Dawn spray. LifeSupport Tip 19: Repel Mosquitoes with Dryer Sheets We are terrorized by mosquitoes and, if you are like us, are willing to do anything not to get eaten alive. Well, while researching for something less smelly than using bug spray, we found this tip! It's quick and easy: Place a dryer sheet in your pocket while outside and it will keep the mosquitoes away. We haven't tried it yet, but we are certainly excited to!

Life Support Tip #17: Rubber Glove for Pet Hair Pick Up

So, here at Pollock we are not only people friendly, we are pet friendly as well.  We LOVE our pets, but we HATE when they shed.  So, here is what we do:  Put on a damp rubber dish-washing glove and run your hand over hair-covered upholstery—the hair will cling to the glove, not the sofa. Rinse off the glove in the sink (with the drain catcher in place, of course) and voilà!!

This is by far our favorite tip so far!  Whether you are using this tip just to keep your bags organized, or you take them with you to walk your dogs, or take to the pool / beach to hold wet swimsuits - this idea is AMAZING.  Follow the simple instructions and enjoy the fruits of your (sorta) labor!

Life Support Tip #15: Dust Pan to Fill Bucket After you are done sweeping you sigh with relief and then realize that now you have to wet mop everything. What. A. Drag. But then you realize that you can use this super fun trick to help you fill up your mop bucket (because let's face it, going to the sink every time to wring your mop is a pain)! So, don't put that dust pan away, turn it around and use it to help you funnel water into your mop bucket. Easy as pie (maybe even easier)!

HELPFUL TIP #3:

If you accidentally write on your dry erase board with a permanent marker, scribble over it with a dry eraser marker to remove it.
