And even then it will be one step at a time. Slow steps until he can let himself be vulnerable enough to accept your affections. Even more so reciprocate them.

But after all this, the guy is just absolutely devoted to you.

And most of all, in love with you.

In every gesture, every gaze when his eyes meet yours... it's almost as if he doesn't hide it, but no, he just loves you too much to keep his heart hidden away when you're around, even if he (almost) never verbally voices his feelings or affections for you.

Eons. Hiding, lying, mapping his plans in the skies, waiting. How many millennia until he's free again?

Will he remember me?

Will he know i fought for him?

Will he know i would have stopped her had i the power?
