but they dont know. he went back for the other eggs. he wanted to trust the other parents to take care of them, to get them out, but there’s always one that’s forgotten in the chaos. always somewhere bad can help pick up the slack. he cpuldnt forgive himself if they lost a single egg- so he took dapper with him, just dapper, the way it has always been him and dapper, and went back for the other eggs, because he couldn’t trust the other parents to take care of them, because he thinks he is the only one who cares enough to protect them

And he’s wrong. he’s so wrong. but in a way, too, he was right. right about the straggler, and right about being the only one who could take care of dapper, right about being the only one who cared about all eggs- because they were alone. over and over, bad has been told that he’s not alone. that he wont be. that there are people there for him

but when the nuke went off, and dapper finally listened and ran ahead, he was alone

Thinking about cosplay priorities for this year..... as always the list is tentative but right now the main projects on my mind are:

Hunter's Cosmic Frontier costume (excellent meta joke)

Andreas Maler's Act I outfit

16th century-accurate Caleb Wittebane

Continuing to work on Palamedes (Halloween was a first draft)

Some extremely fun and interesting challenges in there -- historical costume research! trying to make Hunter's costume look somewhat amateur-ish, from the perspective of someone who is more of an intermediate sewer! -- and also a real diversity of Types of Clothes, so I think that has the potential to be a very fun costume year

Other costumes that might get tackled:

Still contemplating a Harrow cosplay.... we shall see on that one

Depending on Scribe's energy level, I might end up doing most of the historical research and sewing for her Magdalene Drucker cosplay also

I'm planning on going to DragonCon again next year and would love to make it to the Critical Role photoshoot this time, but I'm not satisfied with my Percy at the moment, so..... continuing to work on that costume? Or potentially trying to tackle either Fjord or Caduceus, both of which are still on my dream cosplay list, but would likely be time-consuming/expensive?

the funniest meltdown ive ever had was in college when i got so overstimulated that i could Not speak, including over text. one of my friends was trying to talk me through it but i was solely using emojis because they were easier than trying to come up with words so he started using primarily emojis as well just to make things feel balanced. this was not the Most effective strategy... until. he tried to ask me "you okay?" but the way he chose to do that was by sending "👉🏼👌🏼❓" and i was so shocked by suddenly being asked if i was dtf that i was like WHAT???? WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY TO ME?????????? and thus was verbal again

Every time i purchase a moderately expensive item the Karl Marx on my shoulder is like "For shame... you purchase yet another pair of jeans when you have 5 already at home, you despicable commodity fetishist?
