the problem is, to truly explore the viriverse i would have to sit down, plan a set of characters and events, plot it all out and then write it (with some accompanying illustrations)

which will not happen in a billion years for several reasons (scale and evolving story line being one problem)

coming off their separation, he starts out trying his best to be unapologetic abt the choices he made when dean was gone. openly calling dean out when he makes him feel like shit (“you’ve been kicking me ever since you got back, but that’s over.”) insisting that he knows he wants a clean break and that it’s not actually his Responsibility to suffer for the rest of his life. refusing to let other hunters like martin talk down to him.

and then dean’s lies and hypocrisy abt benny, and dean’s fake SOS text from amelia, and sam breaking up with amelia bc with dean back in his life he doesn’t want to hurt her with his mess, and dean’s doubt over sam’s ability to complete the trials.

which all culminates in the state he’s in by the season finale - uncaring of whether he lives or dies bc he’s always been a burden to dean anyway and maybe if he’s the one to close the gates of hell it’ll make up for everything else he’s supposedly done wrong. “these trials, they’re purifying me.” / “you think I screw up everything I try - you think I need a chaperone, remember?”

the speech dean gives sam in the church Woefully misses the mark in that it doesn’t address any of the events that pushed sam to the ledge. it doesn’t address dean’s mistreatment of sam as a partner in the slightest. empty words that sound nice on the surface, like the majority of dean’s attempts at patching them back up from s4 onwards.

Spindle—Short Chap 7 Theory.

Letting the Chap 7 trailer marinate in my mind I have decided that maybe there's a possibility that Silver isn't just the sword that the Prince weilds to slay Maleficent.

He might just be the spindle as well.

Here's why: as we see in the trailer we see both Malleus and Silver have parallel positions one where Silver is laying down and awakening while Malleus is rising.

We all know that Malleus and Silver have shared parallels and its practically confirmed that both he and Silver will face off but what if I proposed something.

With Lilia basically waving his death flag and Masquerade event in full swing what if I said the Silver might accidentally kickstart something in Chap 7.

As we see, Rollo holds animosity towards fae type characters meaning that fae and human relations, while better, are still strained.

Harkening back to Silver being the spindle, as we know in Sleeping Beauty Aurora pricks her finger and falls into a deep sleep. And with Chap 7 being titled "Ruler of the Abyss" could it be that Malleus "rises" up by drowning everyone in a dreamstate?

Especially in the face of losing Lilia and Silver inadvertently being the catalyst?

Let's throw Sebek in considering Metals are amazing conductors—whose to say that Silver can't be both the sword and the spindle? Whose to say Sebek might help amplify tensions between fae and humans?

Because death and sleep are twins after all.
