my dad says he’s concerned about me because my “fridge looks like a person’s with severe mental illness and disorders” because i have my fridge perfectly organized, uncluttered, things are sorted by expiration date and type, there’s a decent half in to inch of space in between items, and i don’t buy something unless it’s fully out. like what do you mean this isn’t normal behavior. this is perfectly reasonable behavior. i can explain all of it to you if you like

The Photoshoot (Part 24)
Cillian Murphy-Birthday Boy!!!🎉 🥳💙
The Photoshoot master list
I think this is a short part, just wanted to celebrate his birthday in this series. From now on, there will be time jumps, which I will let you know.
🌻Thank you for joining me in this celebration, I got a little trouble here thinking of a birthday present so I ended up-well Yael ☺️- giving him a few. 🎁
Tumblr media
Yael made sure to leave the bed without making a noise. Scout lifted his head but went back to sleep as she walked barefoot to take the food out of the fridge and prepare Cillian a quick breakfast. She set the coffee on automatic last night so it was almost ready.
As the smell of bacon and food started to fill the small bed and breakfast, a sleepy Scout joined her, stretching his front paws, he then was lying on the floor in the middle of the tiny kitchen, making Yael jump over him when she moved to take out the mugs and plates.
“Come on, let’s take you outside.” She let the eggs on a low flame and the waffles still needed a couple of minutes. She had strawberries, pecan, cream cheese and chocolate as toppings, the coffee was ready so she placed it in the tray while Scout followed her every move. “We’re going to surprise Cill in bed okay?”
Enda suggested the B&B in Dingle when she asked for a quiet place where she could take Cillian to celebrate his birthday. It was a lovely place, the previous day they went to do a tour around.
Tumblr media
He barely complained, but she knew it was taking a tool on him and given everything that happened about the baby, he didn’t want to celebrate his birthday.
So she took him for a lovely getaway just for them, with everything going on they could use a distraction, try to have some rest, go away from the chaos.
Dingle was the combination between the Island and the cottage, it was a small town with a lot of things to do, colorful, low key, just what they wanted.
At least it worked that morning, he was relaxed and had a good night, didn’t wake up before her like he usually did. Opening the door to their bedroom, Scout stormed in as she tried to balance the tray with his breakfast. Yael started singing him Happy Birthday while Scout was peppering Cillian with kisses.
“No Scout, down.” He asked with a sleepy tone.
Laughing, Yael joined them in bed. “Room service for the birthday boy.”
“Look at this, you’re spoiling me.”
Making sure Scout wouldn’t eat his breakfast, she finally got close to kiss him softly on the lips. “Happy birthday Cill, I love you more than words can express.” Wrapping her arms around his neck, she felt him smile against her skin.
Words got stuck in his throat. A simple thank you wasn’t enough or even close to what he actually felt. No amount of gratitude he could show would let her know exactly how grateful he truly was.
Wrapping her in a tight hug -one of those that makes you feel like your bones will break- Cillian kissed her shoulder. “Thank you, thank you… from the bottom of my heart.”
“I have a few surprises for you, but first, breakfast.”
He ran to the bathroom and after a couple of minutes, he went back to bed. “This is so good!” He mumbled, his mouth full. “Best breakfast of my life. Getting old doesn’t seem so bad with you making me feel like this.”
“Oh stop the self pity, you’re not old… I swear you’re even aging backwards.”
“That’s not possible.” He chuckled and took the cup of coffee from her hands to have a sip.
“Some of your family gave me presents for you.”
Surprised, he looked at her. “When?”
The grin on her face gave away her secret. “Remember when I asked you to run to the store to get some pads for my period? The brand I asked for is British that’s why you couldn’t find it.”
“I can’t believe that! You had me looking for pads like a fool for over an hour.”
Yael couldn’t control her laugh at that point, her shoulders moving up and down. “I’m sorry, baby but I needed you to be out of the apartment for a while.”
“I thought you were in pain and grumpy.”
Shoving his arm playfully, she complained. “I’m not grumpy.”
“Of course you are, it’s evident when your period is due because you get irritated at the most ridiculous things.”
She shook her head, but deep down she knew he was right. “Come to see your presents!” Pulling him from the bed, Yael covered his eyes from behind, walking on her tiptoes. Cillian was walking carefully, trying to touch around.
“Walk straight, I won’t let you crash on anything.” Placing him in front of the table in the living room, Yael withdrew her hands from his eyelids and encouraged Cillian to open his eyes. He felt like he was eight years old again, the room was filled with balloons hanging from the ceiling, and at the end of each ribbon, there was a photo hanging. Presents wrapped and a birthday cake in the kitchen island.
Tumblr media
“Come here.”
Her body crashed hard against his when he pulled her from the waist. But his lips were gentle when he kissed Yael.
This was by far the best birthday he had ever had, and she was responsible for that happiness, every little thing she did, she did it with her heart, exuding the kind soul she had.
If lips could tell their own story, his would thank her a million times.
For their intimate celebration, for loving him the way she did, for sticking around the chaos… for sharing her life with him.
Yael understood him so well, he didn’t need an expensive party over a yacht, or a party full of celebrities.
No, all he wanted was a low key day with the most important person in his life. To celebrate one more year, one more opportunity, a whole new blank book.
The future is vague and scary, but as long as he had Yael by his side, he could do anything.
“When did you take this picture?” Cillian smile at the back shot with Scout.
Yael walked towards him, Scout was sniffing at the presents.
“That’s from when we went to buy the vinegar chips that you wanted, remember?”
“Nope, I don’t know anyone that stubborn.” He joked.
The weather channel announced a bad storm that day that could make the power be gone, Cillian decided it was the right time to buy a few things but Scout was trembling and she was worried for Cillian so they didn’t have another choice but go to the store together on their way back, it started to rain. After that the three of them ended up having a warm bath and eating chips.
He remembered that moment.
“The best part of a photograph is that when the moments are blurry in our mind, when you look at it, it will take you back in time to bring back the memories.” She leaned her head on his shoulder.
“You didn’t take this one.” He pointed at one of the photos. It was him at three years old sliding down, his grandma holding his back, a huge grin on his face, his eyes sparkled.
“Your mum gave me that, I love it.”
“When did you see her?!” How did she have time for all of this?
“When I told you I was getting my nails done.” She made a face and showed her irregular manicure, she did her own nails on her way back to his apartment so he wouldn’t notice. “She invited me for tea, gave me a hug and showed me your pictures.”
“Ah shit, did she show you the…”
“The one were you are trying to warm your butt on the fireplace?” She nodded. He was embarrassed. “If you were cold… wouldn’t it be easier to wear some pants?”
“Shut up.” Laughing, he cupped her face between his hands and looked intensely at her, her hand caressing his skin at the level of his ribs.
“If you can’t handle the teasing… Let’s open your presents.”
“You are the best present ever. I don’t need anything else.” Her lips brushed his lightly. “I’m going to wrap myself so you can unwrap me later then.” Guiding Cillian to the couch she offered a card first. “Sissy made this for you, said she was sorry for not including Scout and me in the card, but she will make another one. I promised her I would hang this in your fridge.”
“According to her, I’m tall.” He joked pointing at the draw. “I’m asking my sister to make the translation later.”
“This is from your brother.” Yael announced and passed him a box with ribbon.
“I don’t want to open it.”
Frowning, she asked: “Why not?” As Yael undid the ribbon, Cillian tried to warn her, but it was too late, a head jumped at them. She screamed and hid her face on his neck.
“Because I knew he would have his revenge some time. That prick.” Cillian explained to her that when his brother was just a kid he used the money his parents gave him on Sundays to buy a box with a clown inside that jumped at him just like this one, Pad was scared for days and swore he would get his payback someday.
“But he said he got you two presents?” She mentioned a few seconds later when she was calmer, looking inside the box, they found a gift card to Cillian’s favorite restaurant in Dublin.
“At least he got us a fancy dinner.”
“My presents won’t jump at you, I promise… and I got you a couple of small presents instead of one.”
Cillian found a box with a tray for his bathtub. He could adjust the length.
“That way you won’t drop your scripts or books in the water again.” She winked thinking of the day when he accidentally dropped the peaky blinders scripts on the lasts days of shooting, it was a mess.
“That’s very thoughtful from you.” He kissed her cheek. “We could also have some strawberries with chocolate in the tub.”
She loved his plan.
She also gave him two books, one that she knew he wanted to read and one that she thought he might like.
“The subtle art of not giving a f*ck.” He read. “This sounds nice, I need to do that.”
“It’s a good read and there’s a lot of fucks, your favorite word.”
And then, he found an envelope with an invoice. “What’s this?”
“I took your guitar to the shop to get fixed, we can pick it up on our way back home.”
Cillian blinked at the sheet in front of him. “You… took my guitar to get fixed?” Yael nodded. Shouldn’t she had done it? “But I told you that ages ago… how did you remember?” It had been lying in a corner for over a year waiting for him to get it fixed.
“Because… I… pay… attention.” She separated each word with a kiss.
Her love was the best gift she could give him, and yet she went the extra mile for him.
***
The waves were crashing down on the shore. Scout was deep breathing against her leg, tired from running up and down the beach. Cillian was lying down, with his head on her lap, his new Ray Ban glasses protecting his eyes from the sun -another present from her-, while her hand was caressing his hair.
“Your parents asked if we could stop by on our way back to Dublin.”
Cillian looked up at her. “Let me guess… you said yes?” Yael smiled and patted him on the chest.
“Your Mum knows you don’t want a big celebration this year so she agreed that it would be just the four of us.” Scout lifted his head. “And a cute dog, of course.”
“It looks like you have a team now.” He smiled and lifted himself on his elbow. They placed a big towel on the sand.
“They are really nice people, it’s not surprise you’re one too.”
Cillian wasn’t used to the compliments, but coming from her, he knew they were honest. “I have all I need right here.” He whispered before pulling her down for a kiss.
They walked for a while until they found a good spot to watch the sunset.
Tumblr media
“What’s the birthday you treasure the most?” Yael asked him, one of his arms was now around her from behind, her body between his legs.
“This one.” He replied in a heartbeat. Yael smacked him on the leg, he was wearing shorts. The sound of his laugh filled her heart. “I turned 19 and went alone all over Europe, worked my ass off the previous year to pay the trip, I felt like the world was mine.”
“That sounds amazing.”
“If you ask me now, I would prefer this over any trip though… can we make our little own tradition to travel together for our birthdays from now on?” Yael moved away from him to look into his eyes. “If you want a family celebration it’s fine, we can do that too.” His thumb caressed her cheek. “I was just thinking we could add a quick trip somewhere.”
“I’d love to… with you, I’d go anywhere.”
Legs tangled, she loved to see the way his freckles seemed to pop with the light of the sun, his eyes looked bluer as if it was even possible. He looked happy and it was all it mattered.
***
Back into the B&B they rented, Yael lighted the candles on the cake and started singing Cillian the traditional happy birthday, showering him with a hugs and love to celebrate one more year of his life.
“I couldn’t find a bakery open yesterday so I baked it myself.” She packed a cake mix and frosting just in case.
“It’s perfect, thank you! I haven’t had a celebration like this before.”
Yael smiled pleased with the effort she made to make him feel special.
Closing his eyes, she encouraged him to make a wish.
That was easy, he thought, he wanted to be with her.
“There’s one more present for you… finish your slice, I will be back in five minutes.”
She heard Cillian talking on the phone with someone, by the tone of his voice, it might be one of his mates. Clearing her throat, once she got his attention she untied the ribbon of her nightgown. His eyes almost popped from his head when he saw the one piece of lingerie she was wearing, it was far from revealing, it was actually really modest, but it made him go wild. She was wearing high heels and stockings, making her legs look like the most erotic thing in the world.
He hang up without saying goodbye. His eyes devouring her body.
Beckoning her index finger, he followed Yael to the bedroom like a grateful puppy.
“Undress for me please and get comfortable in bed.” She instructed. Yael let her long curls fall down her back, then an intense look in her eyes sent shivers down his spine. She started working on his short. I didn’t eat cake, you know? It’s time for me to get desert.”

Curiosity Saved The Cat | a Micheal Myers x GN!Reader
warnings: none! Just a sweet ol thingy bout you and ol mikey meeting
A/N: Aye babies this isn’t my first rodeo on this hellsite but you’ve probably never seen my work unless you have the memory of an elephant and an obsession with Karl Heisenberg!
But! New user new me y’know. So this is my first fic as Neopleb and I hope you stick around and maybe send in some requests!
——————————
His favorite activity was to watch you. Sometimes you didn’t know. Sometimes he knew you knew, but your favorite was when he didn’t know that you knew.
You were used to the iconic Micheal stare. I mean, dating this seven foot hunk of a killer for a few years meant you had to get used to it or it just wouldn’t be pleasant for you. Thankfully, you were able to take his glares and glances but you also learned how to tell them apart.
Of course, theres the stare that fills even the strongest of men with fright as they realize their death is soon nearing when they look into the emotionless gaze that hid the truest form of evil. The Shape.
You’re grateful you’ve never experienced the full force of that gaze. You had seen it be fought off the night you two met. It was replaced with the next stare; curiosity.
The day you two met is a memory you cherish, but of course your logical side always is ringing in the back of your head “HOW THE FUCK DID I SURVIVE EVIL FUCKING PERSONIFIED???” or something along those lines.
The answer was simple, you intrigued him. Micheal had never seen anything like you. He couldn’t understand it. The shape was banging in his skull telling him to kill you right now. Finish the job. But Micheal for once didn’t listen. For once in over many decades, he let his more human side take over and he just left.
Imagine the look on your face when Micheal Myers, who was five seconds away from killing you just up and walks away. You didn’t know how to react. You sat in the corner of your silent bedroom praying to whatever was out there that he wouldn’t change his mind about sparing you.
You didn’t want to provoke him in anyway so you cast logic to the wind and didn’t contact the police. In the weeks following the encounter you thought you had just been a miracle and would never have a run in with the masked fellow again…
Until you started noticing things. Things like, windows being open that you were sure to have closed the night before. Locks suddenly broken no matter how many times you would replace them. You tried your best to calm your thoughts but the obvious answer was basically hitting you in the face. He never let you be. He had been watching you the whole time.
Of course you freaked out, but then came the confusion. Why hadn’t he killed you? You had lived in Haddonfield long enough to hear the stories, and from what you gathered, Micheal didn’t really keep victims. Of course if they ran he’d find them again, but it was usually a quick job. So why are you still here?
That was a question even Micheal couldn’t answer. It felt like everyday was “the day he is definitely going to do it” but it never was. He just watched you. Almost as if you were a science project that he had to observe.
He couldn’t wrap his head around you. To the naked eye you were just a normal person. You moved from the city to live a quiet life, a fresh start, in a small town in Illinois. You kept to yourself. The only person who knew you by name was the usual cashier at the local supermarket. You minded your business. Yet some how you caught the eye of god’s most terrifying creation.
After a few weeks of trying fix the locks, even going as far to super glue a few windows shut, you gave up. They always found themselves open again, you came to the thought that “if he hasn’t killed me yet, why am I to be so worried?” Which on your part isn’t the smartest, but no one ever said you were the sharpest knife in the drawer.
It was a silent night it February. You had fallen asleep on your couch after a long day of studying for your exams. You hadn’t slept in over 20 hours, and you were out cold, so you didn’t hear the creak of the back door opening.
Micheal stalked in, as silent as ever. Hiding in the shadows as he mapped out his plan to finally end you tonight. He headed towards your bedroom, expecting you to be there asleep in bed as you usually were. He stopped as he spotted you passed out on the couch. Half your body was hanging off the side and there was a pencil stuck in your hair.
He stared at you again, the curious gaze returning as his plan slowly faded from his mind. You were an enigma. How did you capture his gaze like this, why did he push everything aside just to watch you. You were just another victim. Another body. Another object to him. Why is his mind seeing you as something more.
The thing that pulled him from his thoughts was your body slamming to the ground after just a bit too much of you came off the couch. He quickly hid in the shadows of the hallway, planning his escape as you tried to get your bearings after your rude awakening.
You rubbed your head, groaning as you slowly stood. You waddled over to the kitchen to get a glass of water before chasing the lingering sleep to your bed. You felt his gaze, you had become more aware of it once you had given up on shutting the monster out. You grabbed a cup from the cupboard and filled it was tap water. The stream filling the glass was the only sound that could be heard throughout the house.
You leaned back against the counter as you sipped the water. Glancing around the room hoping to spot your watcher but you as always, you never could. You sighed shaking off the gaze and setting the cup in the sink before heading towards your bedroom.
You made it halfway towards your hallway before you spotted the silhouette in the shadows. Your brain was yanking at the reigns of your body to run, hide, call someone, ANYTHING. Yet you just… stood there. Not as if you were frozen in fear, but as if you were having a staring contest with your intruder.
You took a deep inhale and let it out in a sigh before you continued your walk to your room. You knew that this could possibly be your final moment, but it was almost 4 am and you were still incredibly tired. So with logic to the wind, you walked past Micheal who kept his gaze on you the entire time.
You couldn’t see his face, but it was contorted in pure confusion- Why weren’t you running? Why weren’t you cowering in fear. He stared in shock as you reached your bedroom door at the end of the hallway.
Your hand grabbed the knob turning it gently, before glancing back at the man who now stood on the opposite side of the hallway, still watching. You opened the door slowly, turning back to face him.
“… Theres uh- Theres leftovers in the fridge. Spaghetti. You can have some if you want, just put the plate in the sink when your done please.” You spoke quietly, before quickly closing the door to your room. Immediately jumping under your covers as if you were a child hiding from the monster in your closet, but you knew even a child wouldn’t be dumb enough to offer a monster DINNER.
You squeezed your eyes shut and cut out the world as you let sleep take over, hoping to awake the next morning.
You did in fact wake up the next morning, your bedroom door was left open, which you let go quickly considering the fact that you were still alive. You slowly crept out to the living room, glancing around to make sure your visitor hadn’t stuck around. You didn’t see anyone, or feel any gaze so you walked to your kitchen feeling more safe.
There was a bowl left on the counter, you furrowed your eyebrows at it. “Dude breaks into my house, eats my food, and I ask him ONE thing and he can’t even do it? Unbelievable.” You fake being dramatic to yourself, as you set the bowl in the sink and begin making yourself breakfast.
You begin cracking eggs into a bowl when you hear the creak of your back door opening. You pause momentarily, before continuing your cooking. A few silent seconds later and you feel the familiar gaze resting on the back of your head.
You continue your cooking and point to the table,
“If you want breakfast sit down and it’ll be done soon” it came out more confident than your offer last night and you hope that you didn’t anger him. Thankfully, you hear a chair being pulled out and you take a glance to see Micheal sitting, his gaze still locked on you.
Sometimes you still wonder why he hadn’t killed you. He doesn’t talk much but in his more talkative moments he joked that he only kept you around for your food. Though in truth sometimes he doesn’t really know the answer. He doesn’t believe in love at first sight. Hell he didn’t even believe in love period before he started hanging around you. Yet something about you stuck out to him, but he has a lifetime with you to figure it out.

Little Fish
Here it is, this is my piece for the mcyt g/t enchange, and my person was @lorie-the-little-ghost! I’ve never written Karlnap before so I was supper excited to see this prompt and I hope you enjoy! Living with Sapnap felt just as natural as swimming, of course, there were the occasional rough parts, but the reward was worth more to Karl than any risks that came with sharing a house with a human. When Sapnap first suggested they were to get a house together, Karl all but glowed at the idea. He loved Sapnap and couldn’t wait to spend even more time together with his boyfriend, there was only a slight problem with this. The house they moved into was right on the seaside and while the view was truly gorgeous, Karl couldn’t help the way his body froze anytime Sapnap mentioned going down to the actual beach.
The idea of Sapnap seeing what Karl actually was terrified him, he truly loved Sapnap and as much as he hated keeping such a main part of him a secret from him he couldn’t help but be more scared of losing his love. So he agreed to move there and just promised himself that he would avoid all water while around Sapnap. Even if it hurt him every time he declined going down to the beach with some flimsy excuse. After all, the man was relentless with his efforts, and seeing his face fall every time was not something Karl wished for.
It was this current thought process that brought Karl back to the conversation he was having with his boyfriend, “Come on babe I promise it’ll be so much fun, I even packed us lunch!” Sapnap pleaded, staring at him with his best puppy dog eyes. Karl almost broke then and there, maybe if he went and just stuck strictly to the sand everything would be okay. But the little voice in his head couldn’t stop whispering about all the what-if scenarios. Ignoring how his heart yearned to be able to swim with Sapnap while in his true form.
He looked away from Sapnap, not wanting to see the disappointment in his eyes at his answer, “I’m sorry Sap but I’ve just got a really bad cramp right now” The excuse sounded weak even to Karl, and as soon as he mumbled out his answer he was standing from his chair and making his way down to their bedroom. He immediately flopped down onto the bed and groaned loudly into his pillow. Getting all his frustrations out he grabbed it with both hands and curled himself around it, trying to swallow down the guilt he felt at lying to Sapnap.
Meanwhile, Sapnap just stared as his boyfriend all but ran out of the room from him. Sighing he sat down the bag with their lunches in it on the counter and slumped into the seat Karl was previously sitting in. He couldn’t help but feel that Karl was hiding something from him. He seemed so excited to move in together yet there were times when it felt like Karl would just completely pull away from him. Thinking over all the odd encounters he’s had with Karl recently made him notice how these moments aligned with anytime Sapnap mentioned going to the beach.
Raking through his brain for possible solutions he tried to think of why Karl would avoid the beach like the plague. It’s not as if he avoided water either, as the man still took showers like a normal person. So if Karl wasn’t scared of water then why wouldn’t he want to swim? As if his muddled thoughts cleared suddenly, he was left with an answer that made so much sense he was shocked he hadn’t figured it out earlier.
Karl can’t swim.
It made perfect sense! He must have just been too embarrassed to say anything so instead, he just avoided his problem. Well, how could Sapnap claim himself as the best boyfriend if he continued to let Karl suffer alone in his embarrassment? Sapnap was determined to teach Karl to swim now, he smirked as he thought about his adorable boyfriend clinging to him as they waded in the ocean together. Taking their food out of the bag and putting it in the fridge Sapnap left the kitchen and made his way to their office where he began his research on how to teach someone to swim.
Deciding to stop wallowing in his own self-pity Karl peeked out of the bedroom trying to gauge where Sapnap was in the house. Karl was already hiding a big part of himself, the last thing he wanted to do was completely hide away from Sapnap. Walking through the hallway he saw the lights were on in the office, he gently knocked on the door before pushing it fully open and entering.
At the sound of Karl coming in Sapnap swiftly closed the tab he was on and spun his chair around to face Karl. They made eye contact and Karl gave a little apologetic smile at Sapnap, normally the younger would feel disheartened after his boyfriend declined his offer once again but knowing the truth now he smiled fully back at him.
When Karl walked into the office he was a little suspicious of how quickly Sapnap closed whatever screen he was on but with how big of a secret Karl was keeping from him he figured it was only fair Sapnap got to have his own. So instead of questioning the weird behavior he just moved on getting ready to apologize to Sapnap only to be surprised when Sapnap genuinely smiled at him, “I just wanted to apologize again for not being able to go to the beach with you but uh, I think I might’ve just eaten something bad.”
Standing from his chair Sapnap made his way over to Karl grabbing both his hands in his own and rubbing a circle gently on his boyfriends’ skin, “Hey, no worries baby, I understand and besides there’s always next time,” He let a smirk grow on his face and wiggled his eyebrows at Karl, delighted in the way he broke into giggles at his antics.
Karl seemed to stare longingly into Sapnaps eyes as he replied, “Yeah, next time.”
Next time seemed to come sooner than Karl was prepared for as normally Sapnap waited a couple of days to ask him the dreaded question again but it seemed his boyfriend had other plans for today.
Sapnap had left the house extra early that morning just to go shopping for the items needed for his swimming lessons with Karl. He couldn’t wait to show Karl the kickboard and fun assortment of floaties he had bought.
He was practically vibrating with excitement as he unlocked the front door shopping bags in hand. He couldn’t help but smile in glee when he saw Karl started as he burst in through the door and saw Karl startle.
Their current positions felt like Deja vu as Sapnap prepared to ask Karl the same question he asked yesterday. But this time would be different as now Sapnap knew why Karl was declining all his offers.
“Karl my love! We are going to the beach today!” Paying attention he noticed how Karl winced once he realized what was said, only reaffirming Sapnaps suspicion.
Biting his lip in contemplation he tried to find the words to say, “Sap I would love to, but, I just ate and I really shouldn’t go swimming right after eating.” Normally this would be the moment when Sapnap tried and failed to not act sad over Karl declining and then he would eventually give up asking until another today. Today however Sapnap seemed to only grin wider after hearing Karls response.
“See I knew you’d say that, every time I’ve asked you to come down to the beach with me you’ve always declined,” Karl wasn’t sure he liked the way Sapnap was walking towards him as he spoke, “I’ve been trying to figure out why you would say no.” At this point Sapnap was practically standing over Karl making the taller have to look up at him as he was sitting down, “And I finally know the truth.”
Karl felt like his heart was going to pound out of his chest with how fast it was beating. How could Sapnap know? He had been so careful not to slip up and expose himself yet somehow his boyfriend had still found out. “Go on, say it then.” He closed his eyes in preparation, not being able to look at Sapnap when he said it.
“You can’t swim!” Those three words had Karl startled out of his thoughts.
“I, uh what?”
“Yeah babe, I know you’ve been too embarrassed to say anything to me but I figured it out yesterday and I’ve decided I’m gonna teach you to swim.” Sapnap sounded so sure that Karl found it hard to even respond to him.
“That’s not- I know how to swim Sapnap” He weakly argued.
“You don’t have to lie anymore, plenty of people can’t swim Karl, you don’t have to be embarrassed around me,” and before Karl could even respond Sapnap was emptying the grocery bags to show his earlier purchases.
“Look! I even got stuff so that It would be easier for me to teach you!”
Karl could feel as his eyes start to swell with tears, he was so lucky to have such a caring boyfriend, if only he knew the truth. Standing up so he was now right next to Sapnap, staring down at him. “Sapnap, this was all very sweet of you but I can’t go to the beach with you.”
He could see confusion paint Sapnaps’ face as he spoke, “I don’t understand, why are you avoiding this?”
“I just can’t okay?” He turned to leave the room, desperate to escape this conversation but found his wrist caught in Sapnaps hand before he could.
“If you can swim then why are you avoiding me on this? Did I do something?”
“No, I just can’t talk about it,” He tried to pull his wrist free but found Sapnap still holding on.
“Why can’t you tell me?” Sapnap pleaded.
“I just cant!” Karl tried pulling his wrist out again at the same time Sapnap let go. Not expecting the sudden momentum Karl stumbled backward flailing his arms to try and catch his balance. As he did so he knocked a glass of water straight off the counter and onto himself.
It was as if time froze before multiple things happened all at once. Both men turned to a state of panic, Sapnap worried the glass hurt Karl while Karl was panicking over what he knew was about to happen. He could see Sapnaps lips moving, trying to ask if he were okay but his ears were filled with a ringing sensation. Karl could only pray that this time he got water on himself would be a fluke, maybe nothing bad would happen.
 As if thinking about it made it true he immediately felt himself go from towering over Sapnap to now having to stare up at him from the floor in just a quick flash. He had never seen Sapnap from this angle and he could only imagine the short jokes Sapnap would make if he saw him now. That is if he was able to ignore the fishtail now attached to his body and only focused on his new height.
Meanwhile, Sapnap stared in disbelief as one second his boyfriend was in front of him and the next he wasn’t. Looking around the now empty room and not seeing Karl he started to panic and call out, “Karl?! Baby, where’d you go?!”
While Karl was trying to figure out a plan to get away without being seen he couldn’t help but hear how desperate Sapnap sounded. He kept glancing from his tail, up to his boyfriend, and then again. If not for the way Sapnap was still calling out in a panic he might not have worked up the courage to gain his attention. Drawing all his nerves Karl sat, petting his tail for comfort, he had to remind himself that this was Sapnap, his loving boyfriend, who would never hurt him.
“Sapnap!” Watching as the aforementioned male looked around in confusion he continued, “Look down!”
Sapnap hearing Karl’s voice looked down to see his boyfriend, not only tiny but sprouting a rainbow fishtail. Crouching down to get a closer look at him he saw that sure enough, his boyfriend was now a tiny merman,” So I take it this means you do know how to swim?” He joked.
Flustered, Karl covered his face with his hands, “That’s the first thing you’re going to say to me?!” God Karl couldn’t believe how much of a nimrod his boyfriend was.
“Just trying to lighten the mood” He chuckled. It still felt like his eyes were deceiving him and he started to reach out to Karl only to pause right before actually touching him when he saw Karl flinch away from him. “I would never hurt you, Karl,” he whispered, keeping his hand right in front of Karl.
Slowly reaching out he put his hand on Sapnaps finger marveling at the size difference, “It’s not you I’m scared of, it’s just your height”
Sapnap felt his breath hitch at the feeling of Karls little hand on him, looking closely he could even see little webbing between his fingers, “What, jealous that I’m taller?”
“Oh shut up nimrod!” Karl lightly smacked Sapnaps finger and gasped in surprise when he nudged him back in retaliation.
“So, a fish huh, don’t you like need water or something?” His eyes squinted in concern as he stared at Karl as if he was about to drop dead.
“To stay in this form I need to remain wet, otherwise I’ll transform back, my scales will probably dry out soon enough”
“Do you want to? Stay in that uh form I mean, If you want, I can run a bath for you?”
“Yeah actually, that would be really nice.”
Surprised that Karl agreed Sapnap perked up cupping his hands around Karl but not touching him just yet, “Is it okay if I carry you?”
Karl had never been held by a human before but if he was going to do this he was glad it was someone he trusted as much as Sapnap, “Yeah.”
Constantly looking at Karls’ face to see if there was any discomfort he slowly began to close his hands underneath the little fish. Until Karl was fully cupped safely in his hands, where he brought him against his chest for extra support, “I’m gonna stand now, okay?” He watched as Karl clung onto his thumb for support and nodded his head in confirmation.
With that Sapnap slowly stood up, thankful that he was still wearing shoes as he made his way around the broken glass on the floor, making a reminder to clean that up later. Careful not to jostle his little passenger he slowly made his way to the bathroom. Once inside he gently moved Karl to one hand, using his other to get the bath set up.
He absentmindedly started to stroke Karl’s tail while waiting for the bath to fill, awed by how much trust Karl put into him. Karl may not have got a choice in Sapnap finding out his secret, but Sapnap was determined to do anything to show his boyfriend that he could be trusted with this.
Eventually, the tub was filled and Sapnap gently slid Karl into the water, “Into the tub for you.” As soon as he said that he felt water hit his face and looked to see Karl giggling before swimming under the water.
Sapnap couldn’t help but watch in amazement as Karl expertly glided through the water, truly able to see for the first time just how pretty his tail was as it seemed to sparkle underwater. It also looked like Karl just enjoyed swimming and it made Sapnap ponder when the last time he got to transform was.
He waited until Karl popped his head above water to praise him, “You’re really fast underwater.” The blush that coated Karls tiny face was just an added bonus as he complimented his boyfriend.
“I’ve never really gotten to test out how fast I can go”
“Well let’s see then,” that was all the heads up Karl got before his boyfriend’s hand approached the water ready to chase him down.
Karl squealed before diving back under the water, and the chase was on. It was a little difficult for Karl to avoid capture while stuck in a smaller area but he was able to hold his own very well and the few times Sapnap almost got him he was able to slip out of his grasp and keep the chase going.
It wasn’t until Sapnap used both hands to fully cup around Karl and scoop him out of the water completely did he admit defeat,” Sapnap,” Karl whined, “that’s cheating,” he pouted.
“Maybe this will make up for it,” He brought Karl up to his face and began to pepper kisses all over his body, delighting in Karl’s laughter and little squeals. He finally backed off, leaving Karl to catch his breath in his hands, minuscule chest breathing heavily as he did.
“Fish or not, I love you, Karl,” Karl didn’t think his face could get any redder at this point and he used his hands to cover his face before gesturing for Sap to come closer.
At his request, Sapnap leaned in closer, going cross-eyed as he watched Karl press a kiss to the tip of his nose, “I love you too, Sapnap.”

♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
You really have some fuckin’ nerve.
“I- I’m so sorry, but I can’t. I have a shoot that day and a test too...”
Yeah, and? Doesn’t mean you don’t have time to hook up with him.
You always have excuses and it’s getting pretty old. Don’t you know who he is? Don’t you know he runs this town? Don’t you know that no one tells him no?
Keigo grins- perfect teeth showing and head tilting- and he gives you a nod, watches as relief washes over your face.
Oh no, darling, you’re not getting off that easy- it’s time for you to learn that you belong to him just like the rest of this whole goddamn city.
You’re nervous and shy, sure. He gets it. You’re not one of the party girls- you’re just a hopeless little thing trying to make mommy and daddy proud by being their pretty, desperate cashcow. Have to stay thin and bony if you want to get on the next magazine cover. Have to lose your appetite if you want to be small enough to be a big star. And, he helps with that. He gives shy, sad you what you need.
He gets that you’re hesitant about hooking up with your dealer. He’s been nice about it. But he can dash away all your worries if given the chance- all you need is for him to show you how good it’ll be.
All you need is for him to show you that you belong to him- just like everyone else in this fucking town does.
“It’s okay, darlin’,” he drawls out. “No hard feelings.”
You relax more and Keigo nearly scoffs, hides it behind a platinum grin.
You should feel lucky he’s been so patient.
(So far. Really, you’re hurting him, you know? He’s been so good to you- can’t you at least give him a smile and a sweeter apology for being so frigid?)
Keigo drags his gaze over you, takes in your innocent sundress and the bags under your eyes, the fragile weariness that never seems to escape you.
You’re such a pathetic little thing. All he wants to do is sit you in the lap of luxury, have you reeling from pleasure and never wanting for anything. Fuck your family- he can be all the family you need. He can be your daddy, spoil you stupid and keep you in ecstasy- keep you lost in a such a glorious haze that you’ll never find your way out, never want to get out.
You’d make such a pretty little pet- dumb and smiling with glossy eyes and bruise marked skin, fattened up and wrapped in silk, lace. A good little girl content under his thumb.
Why can’t you see it? Why the fuck can’t you understand that you belong with him? That you belong to him?
Keigo’s eyes narrow as you start to make your excuses to leave and his teeth clench while he grins, his patience frays and snaps.
“Hey, wait a second, sweetheart,” he calls out- keeping it friendly, light; a direct opposition to the cool anger and frustration snaking through him. You stop in your tracks and look over your shoulder- inquisitive, cute, so naive.
“Yes, Hawks?”
Hawks. He’s getting tired of that name falling from your lips- he wants to hear his real name from you; he wants to hear you whine and moan and scream it.
Keigo widens his grin and he crooks a finger toward you, tilts his head as you blink your curiosity.
“C’mere,” he coaxes. “I’ve got somethin’ new for you to try. No charge, promise- I just want my favorite customer’s opinion.”
Hesitance flutters over your face and it’s hard for him not to huff at the way you waver, the way you bite your lip and scrunch your brows together in contemplation.
“Come on,” he presses. “It’s good shit- this’ll keep you up all night and you won’t even wanna raid the fridge while you study. You said you had a shoot comin’ up, right? Don’t wanna risk a binge before that.”
Repulsion, shame, hurt, panic- it all flashes across your face in a rapid fire sequence. He’s being a dick by saying it, yeah, but he doesn’t care- not when you’ve been so frigid for so long, not when he knows it’s going to have you agreeing like a good little girl.
And you do agree. With a frown and eyes that are a little wet, with teeth nibbling at your bottom lip and a bowed head, you agree.
Keigo’s grin grows and he waves you to follow him over to the couch, plops down on it and smirks when you sit down quietly beside him.
You don’t say a word as he starts cutting it up- you just watch him with a still bitten lips and your hands clasped in your lap. The look you give him when he’s done is a little unsure, but you sigh when he raises a brow and you lean down toward the table without any real reluctance- one hand going to brush your hair back from your face in an elegant little move that shouldn’t preface the way you oh so expertly snort that stark white line off his ebony coffee table.
A tiny shudder and swipe of your hand under your nose and then you’re sitting up again, blinking at him and wetting your lips.
“What do ya think?” he asks- casual, like he doesn’t know what’s about to happen, like he doesn’t know how fucked you’re about to be in just a few seconds.
“It’s, um,” you start up, voice already dipping a little dumb and hazy. “It was, um...um...”
Um. Um. Um.
God, you’re so fuckin’ stupid. So fuckin’ cute.
A tiny noise and then your lashes are fluttering, your body is swaying gently as your fingers curl and uncurl against your thighs.
“H-Hawks? What...I don’t...”
You slump against the couch, whimpering, and Keigo’s eyes grow hooded as a flush creeps across your face, as you give a sluggish little squirm and moan.
“Aw, baby, what is it?” he croons. “Was that a bit too much for my favorite little junkie?”
Even with you fucked up, tears still spring to your eyes and Keigo grins as a whimper sounds from you, reaches a hand over and swipes a tear from the corner of your eye.
“I know, I know,” he hums. “That was mean, wasn’t it? But you’ve been so mean to me, angel. Such a frigid little bitch. You’re the only coke whore I know that doesn’t want to fuck.”
“Ha- Hawks-”
It’s so whiny, so small. He likes it, though- likes the tears in your eyes and the tears in your voice, the way you sniffle and look at him with a blurry, hazy, dumb gaze.
“You gotta understand,” Keigo continues on, gripping your cheek and leaning over you, forcing you to fall back against the arm of the couch. “You really left me no choice. I’ve been so nice to you, ya know? All I wanna do is take you out and show you a good time. I just wanna fuck you, princess, and give you a good life.”
Another whimper, a tiny little shudder. You can’t fight the way his free hand runs up your thigh and you can’t fight the way his fingers rip your panties to the side, run up your slit.
“I wouldn’t have had to do this if you weren’t such a prude,” he says with a sigh. Crystalline tears drip down your cheeks and he hums, noses at your temple and presses a kiss to your forehead. “Shh, baby, shh- daddy’s going to take care of you. You’re gonna love it, babe, and you’re gonna love me.”
“Hawks-”
Two fingers plunging into your cunt cuts you off and Keigo smirks as your cushy insides pulse around him, pulls his head back so he can grin down at you and wrap his hand around your throat, choke off that sob that’s trying to sound.
“It’s Keigo,” he tells you. “No more Hawks- it’s Keigo from now on, okay?”
You only whimper in response and Keigo huffs at that, chokes you a bit harder.
“Say it,” he orders. “Call me by my name.”
He loosens his hold on your throat and you cough, arch your back in a pathetic little move whenever his fingers curl deep inside of your cunt.
“K- Keigo...”
“That’s a good girl,” he coos- condescendingly, his lips curled into a smirk, satisfaction filling him as your hips grind against him and your lashes flutter.
Good- the ketamine is starting to kick in.
You whine- soft and small, head lolling to the side. He takes the time to smooth his hand down to your chest and he pinches at your nipples- what a fuckin’ tease to go braless and still have the gall to reject him- and twists them to make you whine again, let out slurred mumble of his name.
“Feels good, doesn’t it?” he hums, squeezing your tit and smoothing his thumb over your clit. “Isn’t daddy making you feel good?”
You nod, dumbly, and Keigo’s smirk grows as you try to reach a hand up to him only for it to fall limp against the couch.
“You were missin’ out on this, sweetheart,” he huffs. “But you’re not gonna miss out anymore- daddy Keigo’s gonna take real good care of ya from now on.”
Another dumb nod- pupils blown and your lips parted, mind spinning as you agree to something that you can’t possibly comprehend when you’re flying so high. Keigo slips in another finger and you come on them, mewl like a stupid little slut as you tremble weakly underneath him.
He takes them out from you and reaches a hand over without looking, sticks his fingers inside the open baggie waiting for him on the table and then shoves them into your gaping mouth. You suckle on them like a good little whore and Keigo’s smirk almost softens as you look up at him through your lashes, as you drool all over his rings and digits.
Oh, yeah, this is gonna be real easy- he’ll have you complacent and adoring and dumb for him in no time.
He should have done this sooner.
Keigo wrenches his fingers from your mouth and you whine when he does, moan as your head tilts back and your fingers twitch along the couch. You don’t fight him at all when he pushes you to the floor and you don’t do anything but whimper when he drags you by the hair, pulls you between his legs and to his crotch.
You’re like a doll on your knees for him- mind blank and eyes bright, so thoughtless and pretty with spit on your chin and a flush flared across your cheeks. He could get used to the sight, but he likes it even better when he pulls his cock out and you begin to mouth at it slowly, smear pre-cum and drool all over your face as you nuzzle against it in a drugged haze.
“Ah, shit, angel,” he sighs out- content as he curls his fingers through your hair, as he reaches for his smokes with his free hand. “Can’t tell ya how long I’ve been waiting for this.”
You slur out some nonsense to him and Keigo ignores it as he lights up. He takes a draw and he exhales- satisfaction and smoke slipping from him as you sloppily take his head into your mouth.
You don’t fight him when he pushes your head down and Keigo grunts as your tongue writhes against his shaft, curls his fingers tighter into your hair as your throat relaxes, as your lashes flutter shut.
“Take it all, baby,” he drawls. “And ya better swallow it down when I come. Better keep it down, too- daddy knows his little whore likes an empty stomach, but you gotta take everything I give ya. Gotta be a good little baby for me. You- fuck, shit- you gotta take. it. all.”
Keigo fucks up into your mouth, punctuates the words with a rock of his hips that smushes your nose into the curls around his cock. You still don’t fight, but you do whimper and more tears begin to spill as he fucks your throat, buries his cock deep inside and grinds.
When he comes, you swallow it all down- cough and whine but still swallow his seed, blink your wet lashes up at him and stare at him with fucked out little doe eyes that get his cock hard all over again.
Keigo pulls you into his lap with a grin and he reaches over, plucks the baggie from the table and scoops up your favorite little treat with his fingers, shoves it under your nose and watches as you obediently, thoughtlessly, dumbly snort it all up.
You really are such a good little bitch when fucked up- he really, really should have done this sooner. Would have done it sooner if he had realized how easy this would be.
He just wanted to give you a chance is all, though- too bad for you that you didn’t realize you should have been saying yes all along.
Ah, well, he’s got you now.
He’s got you for forever.
You slump against him, hips grinding sluggishly against his cock, and Keigo grins, pets over your hair before grabbing you by the back of your neck and pulling you in for a kiss.
They way you kiss him back is sloppy, pathetic, messy. But Keigo takes it all, though, and he even groans a little into it, flashes you a sneer when he let’s you pull back to look at him with your stupid, blank little stare and lost smile.
“Oh, we’re gonna have such fun together, princess,” he promises. “Daddy’s going to keep you nice and high, keep you fucked stupid.”
You nod, dumbly, and he knows that you don’t understand a word he just said, is perfectly fine that.
You don’t need to think- as long as you can be his good little bitch, as long as you’re not telling him no anymore.
Keigo kisses your cheek and he shoves you back down to the floor, stands and hauls you up until you’re slumped over the coffee table. You mumble something as he flips the skirt of your sundress up and Keigo ignores it, rubs his cock against your soaked cunt before pushing in.
You whine at the intrusion and Keigo sighs- content, happy, grinning lazily as he sticks his cigarette back between his lips.
You’ll be a good girl for him from now on, he knows, and he’ll treat you real good in return- as long as you’re obedient, as long as you never deny him, as long as you never tell him no again.

CURVES| D.H.
Pairing: Derek x fem!Reader
Word count: 1885 words
Warning: discussing body image, negative opinion of body, body comparison
Summary: Reader and Derek have been friends for years. Derek finds her in her kitchen worrying over having to go swimming with Lydia and reader explains her struggle with her body image.
“I don’t know.” I say, holding my books tighter against my chest as I follow Lydia to the bleachers. She frowns.
“Please,” She begs, grabbing my arms and pulling me to a stop. “It’s been forever since we did anything together, just the girls,” She explains and looks back to where Jackson and the other lacrosse players are walking out of the school building. “I need a night without lacrosse talk.” She says and I smile lightly at her little eyes roll, but frown again when she looks back at me for a reply.
“I’m not getting out of this, am I?” I ask and she nods with a satisfied smile and I sigh loudly. “Can I convince you to do anything else?” She shakes her head quickly.
“Shopping and sunbathing, Y/n. It’s all we need, “ She says, linking our arms as we start walking again. “I’ll pick you up tomorrow morning and we’ll go get some new bikini’s before going to the lake house,” She informs me and nods at Jackson who is waving her over to the bench. “Duty calls. Stop pouting it’s going to be fun.” She tells me and boops my nose before scurrying away towards Jackson and I shake my head with a smile as I watch her leave. I stay still for a while, making sure she reaches him without being hassled by anyone and then turn to leave, already dreading the weekend ahead, even though it’s quite literally just begun.
I fall into step quite quickly, only pausing to put my books into my bag before walking home. My parents are working late again, so I have the house for myself for a couple of hours, but if history has taught me anything, it’s that Derek Hale tends to show up unplanned and unfed, whenever he wants. Not that I mind, it’s always been like that and only more so since the fire.
I lock the door behind me, throwing my bag onto the couch and heading to the kitchen. I shake my head when I see Derek’s car parked in the backyard, just like I thought it would be and grab the pizza bites out of the freezer. The stairs creek behind me as the microwave starts doing its thing and I throw the empty box away.
“How did you get in here?” I ask, turning around just as he takes a seat at the table. “The door was locked.” I add with an amused smile as he stares up at me.
“But your window wasn’t.” He says and smirks happily. I shake my head as I slip onto the counter.
“Derek, my bedroom is a mess.” I say, only now remembering that I was too lazy to clean it up before going to school. Derek nods his head quickly, brows raised for effect.
“Hell yeah, it is,” He says and shrugs. “Don’t freak out, you know I don’t mind,” He adds sweetly and I smile over at him before focusing my attention on my folded legs, fiddling with my fingers as the sound of the microwave fills the room. I hear him sigh softly, moving in his chair. “What’s up?” He asks and I shrug.
“Nothing.” I reply too quickly and he scoffs.
“Bullshit,” I look up at him surprised. “I can literally smell that you’re not okay,” He informs me and I raise my brow at him in confusion. He rolls his eyes. “Chemo signals, Y/n. Now tell me what’s going on?” I think it over for a moment before shaking my head with a sigh.
“You wouldn’t understand.” I say and the alarm from the microwave pings to tell me it’s done and I use that as a momentary distraction, jumping down and getting it, placing it down in front of him.
“On account of the fact that I’m not of the feminine variety or no longer of the teenage variety?” He asks, lightly grabbing my wrist to stop me from leaving. I shrug again and he nods. “Ahh, both.” He uses his foot to push back a chair and then smiles as I rip my arm away from him. “Sit. And talk.” He orders and I roll my eyes as I take a seat next to him, watching as he grabs a pizza bite from the plate.
“You’ll think it’s stupid.”
“Most things are,” He shrugs. “Doesn’t mean I can’t be here for you anyway.” I let out a loud breath, reaching for a pizza bite, but pulling my hand back slowly, he watches the gesture carefully, raising a brow at me.
“You know Lydia, right?” I ask and he thinks it over before nodding, chewing slowly as he waits for more information. “Would you say that she is, I don’t know, good looking?” I ask and he leans back in his chair with a shrug.
“I guess.”
“Exactly,” I almost shout and he flinches, furrowing his brows as I settle back down in my chair. “Exactly.” I repeat, calmer this time. “She’s very pretty and her hair is silky and she’s in perfect shape, like the perfect possible shape. One could go as far as to say that she’s like the perfect example of what we’re expected to look like.”
“We, being all girls?” He asks and I nod, leaning onto the table with my elbows.
“Yes.” I look down at the table. “Except that not everyone does look like that, perfect,” I say and frown. “Some of us aren’t as one would say, skinny.” I clarify and look up to find him smiling lightly, leaning onto the table as well, he looks me over slowly.
“I really hope this isn’t you hating on yourself right now, because you’re literally ridiculously beautiful and I’d be damned if you’ve somehow convinced yourself otherwise.” He says in an effortlessly smooth tone that would usually prompt me to blush, but I roll my eyes instead.
“Okay, you saying that doesn’t count.” I say, taking a pizza bite and munching on it. He scoffs.
“Why not?” I laugh softly.
“You’re like family, Derek. There’s some sort of inclined niceness that goes with it, you have to say shit like that. It’s like a mom telling you that your dress is nice or my brother telling me my hair doesn’t look horrible. It doesn’t count.” He raises a brow, sitting back quickly, his face disgusted as he looks at me.
“Okay, first of all, I’m not like a brother and please don’t put me in a position to act as such because then the way I look at you would be rather questionable,” He says, looking over at me seriously to make sure I get what he means, and I bite my lip to hide a smile forming. “And secondly…” He looks me over again, eyes darker as he smiles at me. “When I called you beautiful, I was also implying how crazy hot you are, which doesn’t sound like a compliment, but bloody hell you’re in no position to think you’re ugly.” He ends and despite myself, I feel my cheeks warming up. I swallow slowly as I look back to the table, not sure what to say until his hand numbly takes hold of mine on the table. “Not everyone looks the same, doesn’t mean that you’re ugly by default, it just means you have a different form of beauty.” He tells me, tone softer this time.
“You really think that?” I ask, fingers folding around his own around his own. He smiles.
“Of course, I do.” He says and tilts his head to get my attention. “Do you know me to say something just because I know that it’s what you want to hear?” I laugh lightly as I shake my head and his smile grows as a result. “Exactly. Now, don’t let me ever hear you talking down on yourself again, you’re much more than just your body. Doesn’t matter what size or shape you’re in, I’ll always think you’re pretty bloody brilliant. “
“Thank you,” I reply softly and gently pull my hand away from his when I realize that I haven’t let go yet. “You want something to drink?” I ask, standing up from the chair awkwardly, he laughs lightly while he nods and I pretend not to notice as I walk over to the fridge. It’s silent for a second and the plate scuffs against the table as he eats another few pizza bites.
“I mean it, you know,” He says, confusing me as I place our glasses down on the table. “You might be my default family, but I do not see you as my sister,” He clarifies and I clearly am not doing a good job of hiding my shock or the fact that I obviously don’t see him as a brother either. He laughs. “You really think that I come here everyday for the pizza bites?” He asks and I shrug.
“We do buy the good brand.” I say, mockingly and he rolls his eyes, far from serious or annoyed.
“You do. But I come here for you,” He announces like it’s nothing and my heart does a full-on backflip because holy shit, this man can’t possibly be serious. He smiles. “I heard that.” He says and looks at my chest when the embarrassment makes my heart beat even faster, he smiles likes he’s achieved something great and then gets up from his chair, picking up the empty plate as he does. I frown.
“Wait does this mean that…”
“Oh, I’ve been very much aware of our shared attraction for quite some time,” He says and my mouth all but falls open as I stare at him, a look he completely ignores while he puts the plate in the sink. “Speaking of, are you free tomorrow?” He asks me casually and I shake my head because clearly words will fail me. He nods. “Next weekend then, you can wear that red dress you hide in the back of your closet, the one that shows your curves,” He smiles when I stare at him blankly. “I really do love your curves, Y/n.” He informs me as he starts heading to the door, making me stand up as well.
“Where are you going?”
“Your mom is on her way home,” He informs me and shrugs. “And truth be told, I think I might send you into shock if I stay any longer.” He explains and once again steals a glance at my chest where even I can hear my heart nearly exploding.
“You didn’t drink your juice.” I say and he folds his arms in front of him, smirking with a raised brow.
“I think you need it more than I do. Cool down and all that.” He says and I gasp.
“Derek Hale,” I say, walking towards him. “I did not peg you as the type of guy who just shamelessly flirts with his best friend.” I say, stilling in front of him. He smiles.
“I think there’s a lot of things you might not know about me, Y/n.” He says and looks over at the door when my mom pulls into the driveway. He leans forward slightly, kissing the top of my head sweetly, completely contrasting his words before pulling away. “I think this is going to be fun.”

“The what?”
“The Lord of the Rings,” Sam stops dead, and jogs back to him, “You serious? You said you read the Hobbit?”
“Yeah?”
“JRR Tolkien?”
“Yes.” Bucky runs a hand through his hair and sighs.
“But you don’t know The Lord of the Rings?”
“If you keep repeating it, maybe it’ll catch this time.”
Sam’s mouth falls open, “Mother of— they froze you before Lord of the friggin Rings?”
Bucky blows out a blast of annoyed air and moves to run, Sam grabs his forearm, “Stop that, we’re talkin—“
“—We are running.”
“Not anymore,” Sam leans his weight on Bucky and laughs, “Shit. I always forget that they popsicled you,” He shakes his head, “Tolkien, he wrote the Hobbit yeah, but like… ten years later he wrote a Trilogy, the Trilogy, like, the one to rule them all.”
“Are they any good?”
Sam practically squeals with laughter, his arm still looped inside Bucky’s, “Yes.” He says, emphatically, grinning so much that Bucky is tempted to smile back, almost, “The movies are good too.”
“Movies?”
“Moving pictures?” Sam grins wider, “Talkies?”
Bucky tilts his head, rolls his eyes, already ready to run again, Sam’s having none of it, he starts pulling Buck back the way they came,
“What about the run?”
“This,” Sam insists, “Is more important, we gotta head back,”
“It’s 7am.”
“Exactly, which means we’ve got time to hit the store on the way home,”
“Why?”
“Provisions, we’re gonna be busy all day, we need to have snacks and keep hydrated.”
“What?”
“Extended editions baby, this is a 12-hour Lord of the Rings lockdown,” He grins at Bucky, “Consider yourself absolutely blessed that I was nerdy as hell in high school. I gotta text Torres, tell him we are taking the day off.”
“You’re taking a day off, from being Captain America?”
“He’ll understand.”
~ Hours later~
“Bucky,” He sighs, and plants his palms on the kitchen countertop, “James Buchanan Barnes,” Nothing.
He takes his phone out and pauses the damn TV,
The man in question rotates very slightly, his eyes wide, red, in shock, also as pissed as Sam had quite possibly ever seen him, including the time he was kicked off a domestic flight home because of his ‘metal arm’.
“You good?” Sam asks,
“So they just left him? After he sacrificed himself to get them out and across the bridge of Khazad-dûm and away from the Balrog?”
Oh Jesus,
“The bridge of Khaza—" He stops himself, chuckles, can't help it, he shouldn't surprised by this and yet, "Yeah man, they couldn’t—“
“What? Walk out there and grab his hands? There were eight men,” He shakes his head incredulously, “Bilbo’s nephew, wouldn’t walk twenty feet to save Gandalf?”
“Wait wait, Are you crying man?” He smirks, teasing, “There are two and a half more movies to go Buck, and you’re already out here cryin’ your ass off, you gotta chill—“
Bucky regards him sourly, “Have you even read the Hobbit?”
“Not even gonna dignify that kinda hostility with an answer James.”
He unpauses the tv and digs through the fridge, a moment later, the TV pauses again,
“Sorry.” Bucky mutters, “I uh, I’m enjoying them.”
“I can tell.” Sam says, and again, a grown-ass man getting way too sucked in to a High Fantasy trilogy 60 years late shouldn’t be damn adorable, but it is, “You hungry, oh member of the fellowship?”
Bucky rolls his eyes, turns back around,
“Is there coffee?”
Sam grins, and starts filling the water kettle.
“We, are gonna take a break.”
Bucky spins, finger already on the remote to jump to the next movie, Sam shakes his head.
“You haven’t eaten yet, and this is our…shit, third pot of coffee.”
“But they’re taking the hobbits to Isengard.”
Sam cackles, “Yeah, you are indeed correct, that is happening, but, we got 8 more hours of cinematic masterpiece, and you— are gonna eat somethin’”
“I’m not hungry.”
“Would Aragorn not sustain himself while trying to rescue Merry and Pippin?” He asks dramatically,
Another eyeroll, but he stands and stretches, folding one of the new blankets that had somehow started appearing randomly inside his apartment.
“How do you feel about cookies?”
He watches the top of his head twist, but Bucky’s eyes don’t leave the screen, “Thought we were eating lunch?”
Sam laughs, “Thai?”
He texts Sarah, attaches a picture of Bucky swathed in a blanket, staring in fascination at the TV.
“He’s never seen Lord of the Rings.” And then a bunch of laughing emojis.
“So where’s Rohan in relation to Mordor?” Bucky asks over the top of the couch, “They keep talking about the Gap of Rohan, but then…”
“Google it.”
“You’ve got your phone.” Bucky argues, “Do library books still have the maps in the back nowadays?”
Sam’s already got his app open, Complete Works of JRR Tolkien, Hardback
He swipes and makes sure they have maps— New York freakin City, it’ll be delivered before they finish the second one.
“Sam needs to kill Gollum.”
He looks up at the mention of his name, grinning at the screen, then back at the microwave: he lost rock, paper, scissors, so popcorn’s on him.
“Smeagol?”
Bucky purses his lips, unimpressed, “He is clearly untrustworthy, “
“Sam’s also a little jealous of Frodo’s attention, they’ve been one-on-one for a while now,”
“I guess,”
“Frodo also sees a lot of himself in Smeagol, what he could have become…”
Bucky pauses the movie, “they’ve still got those elf-blades.” He mutters, “He’s talking to himself, and creeping off in the night, Sam should kill him, and tell Frodo he found him that way.”
“He was Aragorn’s best friend,” Bucky murmurs, his voice is a little choked up, “He came to defend the men of Rohan.”
“Mmmhmm.”
Sarah’s texted him back:
“Oh god, you found another geek.” She says, “Are ya’ll gonna like have a Star Trek themed wedding?”
Bucky’s got the second book open across his knees, his fingers holding it open so he can occasionally frown down at the maps.
“He died protecting him.”
“They had a bond.” Sam agrees, “Read the appendices, there’s loads more about the elves. Just wait until you get deep in the Silmarillion.”
“Yeah.” Bucky says, only half-listening, “Starting to think his ‘heir of Gondor’ schtick is getting old, man can’t even protect his friends— and where is Gandalf?”
“Are you shitting on Aragorn? Son of Arathorn?”
Bucky shrugs, “Just seems like he’s avoiding his calling, what he’s good at, born to do… running from it, cause he’s scared.”
“It’s a lot of responsibility he didn’t ask for.” Sam replies mildly,
“Tough shit. Sometimes you just gotta use the cards you’re dealt.” Bucky stands, “I gotta pee.”
“You think I should grow my hair out?”
Sam hides his grin, making an effort not to stare at Aragorn on screen, who is currently smoldering with the best of them,
“I think you should do whatever makes you happy, Buck.” He takes a sip of his coffee (decaf this time) and stares fondly (not really) at the side of Bucky’s face. Sure, he’s distracted, but at least this time it’s not damn mission files.
Buck grunts, they’re sprawled next to each other on the couch, knees touching, blankets shared and spread between them. Between bathroom breaks and Sam occasionally poking Bucky to make sure he was still breathing, personal space had become even less of an issue than usual. Not that Sam was terribly bothered by it. They’re roommates, sorta? Partners?
A couple of guys.
“So, Arwen or Eowyn?” Bucky asks, still unblinking, Sam is pretty sure he unleashed a monster, cause this boy is a nerd. He’s already googled other trilogies, on Sam’s phone. Sam is pretty sure movie night might become a thing.
Buck’s still waiting on his answer, it’s a timeless question to be sure, Sam pretends to ponder it.
“Eomer actually.” He says, keeping his eyes on the screen, “Loyal, strong, and the man knows how to ride.”

Harry can be such a persistent pain in the ass sometimes. You haven’t decided if you like it about him or not. If he makes up his mind about something it has to be that way, no objection.
He texted you in the morning that he would be coming over to your place after work, because he is looking after Valerie for the night, for the first time ever and he needed you to tell him everything he needs to know about taking good care of her.
“I think Rosa will tell you all about it when they arrive. I got a list from her as well,” you tell him when he calls you during your lunch break.
“I know she will, but I’m a single man, it’s bold of you to think I know anything about babies.”
“What are you talking about? You are always so good with her. I’m sure it’s gonna be fine.” Steven has a business dinner tonight and Rosa was invited as well. You know that because they asked you first if you could look after Valerie, but you had already made plans with Marcus, so you had to turn them down. Guess they found someone who is free, but it seems like Harry is a little panicky about it.
“Is it not the best time to admit that I have no idea how to change a diaper properly?”
You laugh at his question and you can almost picture the worried look on his face, lips pressed together and that little crease showing between his eyebrows.
“Then why did you say that you’d look after her?” you ask giving your salad a shake before you start eating.
“Because Rosa sounded so desperate, and I wanted to help. I thought I would figure it out, even googled it, but I’m not sure I have the right idea about everything.”
“What do you mean you googled it?”
“Well, if you’d look at my search history it would be filled with maternity sites where they describe in detail how to wipe a baby’s ass,” he states, making you laugh once again.
“You’re nuts,” you sigh, shaking your head. “Unfortunately, I have plans tonight, so I don’t think I can help you.”
“When?”
“Um, Marcus is picking me up at seven.”
“That’s perfect, Rosa and Steven will drop Val off at mine at four, so I’ll have plenty of time to go over to yours so you can show me everything.”
“Harry, I’m working until five.”
“Alright, I’ll be right there at five thirty.”
“Harry... “ you chuckle, shaking your head.
“Please, Y/N! I’m begging you! This is a kinda life or death situation. You can’t do this to me! You still owe me for the time you were looking over her!”
Closing your eyes you lean onto the table. You already know you’ll say yes, how can you not when he is right about owing him one, but you should really learn how to say no next time, before people start to see you as the loser who just does as she is told all the time.
“Okay. I’ll be home by five twenty.”
“Fucking perfect. I’ll see you later,” he cheers before ending the call.
Turns out he is quite punctual, because just as you walk around the corner you see his car parked in front of your building and you just smile. He spots you from the rearview mirror and gets out, unbuckling Valerie from her seat as well.
“They left you the seat as well?” you ask and help him get the huge bag Rosa packed for Valerie.
“I told them I need to do groceries so Steven left it for me.”
Valerie babbles to Harry relentlessly, who occasionally hums a response as the three of you go up to your apartment.
“So, what exactly do you want me to show you?” you ask, setting the bag down on the couch as Harry puts Valerie down on the plush rug to wander around a bit as the two of you discuss what he needs help with.
“Diaper change, feeding and burping. I think I’ll be alright with the rest.”
“Okay, first of all, she doesn’t need to be burped, she’s old enough to skip that. Only try that if she is fussy after eating,” you tell him and he nods, mentally taking notes. “Alright, let’s see a diaper changing. How many did Rosa leave for you.”
“Oh, she left a bunch but I dropped by the store and bought another pack just to be sure. Let me grab it from the car.”
Harry runs off, in the meanwhile you sit on the floor with Val and get everything you need from the bag to change her. You figured he just bought a smaller pack in case he might mess up the first few times, but when Harry returns he has a huge pack under his arm, written on the side you see that there are 92 pieces in it.
“What the fuck, Harry? Are you trying to supply her for the rest of the year?” you snap with a laugh.
“I panicked, don’t give me shit about it!” he whines joining you on the floor.
You put an old blanket down and grabbing Valerie you make her lie on her back as Harry opens the mega pack and hands you a clean diaper. You go over the whole process step by step, making sure you cover every detail that might come to you naturally but wouldn’t be that obvious for Harry. He intently watches your every move, at one point you almost expect him to get a notebook and pencil to take notes.
“Okay your turn. Let me see what you learned.”
Scooting over you let Harry take your spot and his hands carefully reach to get rid of the diaper you just put on Valerie, who is still carelessly babbling around, stuffing her fingers into her mouth without a worry in the world. She surely doesn’t give a damn about being experimented on.
Harry’s fingers work delicately on her, doing everything just as you told him and he even folds the used diaper in a prettier way than you did.
“See? It’s not that hard. Just expect some poop in it the next time,” you tell him and laugh at the grimace that tugs on his face.
“How often do I need to change her?”
“Just… give her bum a sniff now and then, you’ll know when she has left a gift for you.”
“Awesome,” he sighs nodding. “Okay, now onto the feeding.”
It’s been a while since the night you looked after Val, since then Rosa has stopped breastfeeding so she is now fully on baby food from any store and basically anything pureed. Rosa packed a few different kinds of foods and wrote on the list that Valerie has been a fan of smashed apples, banana and peas.
Harry takes her to his arms and sits at your small dining table as you get one of the baby foods with a small spoon and her bib.
“Feeding is nothing special, just make sure to give her small portions and wait until she swallows everything. But she is a calm eater, so she takes her time tasting everything and then swallowing it,” you explain to him and show him what you just said, bringing some food to her mouth on the spoon. Harry watches her take it, some of it ending up on her lips and you wipe it off with the spoon when you pull it out of her mouth.
“See? She is quite chill, you have nothing to worry about,” you tell Harry. Some babies tend to turn feeding into a race and they want to get as much food into their mouth as possible at once. Valerie is a luckier case in this field. “Wanna try?”
Harry nods and you drop the spoon into the jar, putting it to the table before you take Valerie from his lap. Once again, he is doing perfectly fine, feeding her just the right amount and wiping the excess off her lips and cheeks easily. He had nothing to worry about.
“You’re doing great, as if you were a natural,” you tell him smiling and you swear you see him blush.
“I’m a little far from that. I’m still in panic that I do something wrong.”
“It was a bold move to say yes to Rosa if you are so worried how you’d do.” Harry keeps feeding her, eyes focused on the spoon and the little girl sitting on your thighs.
“Rosa sounded really desperate, I wanted to help. That’s what godparents are for, right?”
“I guess,” you nod. You watch him treat her so delicately and gentle, before you could even stop yourself, your thoughts wander over to imagining him be just like this with his own baby.
The thought of Harry being a dad and taking care of his baby has a weird and surprising effect on you. You imagine him doing all these everyday things like feeding her, playing with her, falling asleep on the couch with her curled up on his chest. You’d give an arm to see him like that, the vision of a curly haired little girl playing all too vividly in your mind. You see him having a girl, that’s what feels right for him. He would definitely make her feel like a princess and a total daddy’s girl.
Your eyes wander over to his arm where his tattoos are showing from under his rolled up sleeves. Surely soon enough Valerie will be coloring the many shapes and maybe one day he’ll do the same with his daughter. There’s no doubt Harry will be an amazing dad.
Realization hits you hard that how badly you want to witness all of these and it gets to your head a little too heavily, feeling your eyes tearing up a little. You need to take a few deep breaths that draws his attention to you.
“You alright?” he asks, furrowing his eyebrows at you as Valerie finishes up the lasts of her meal.
“Yeah, I just… I need to start getting ready,” you say clearing your throat as Harry takes Val from you. “Feel free to stick around,” you tell him making your way to the bathroom with the sheer intention of having an ice cold shower before you lose your mind over your wandering thoughts.
Harry seemingly takes up on the offer and stays, playing with Valerie in your living room while you soak yourself in the freezing water. It helps though, you feel a lot more put together when you walk out, wrapped in your fuzzy bathrobe, your damp hair falling to your shoulders.
“Feel free to get anything from the fridge, by the way,” you tell Harry as you move into your bedroom to start getting ready.
“Thanks, but I’m alright,” he calls back. “Where are you two heading tonight?”
“Just this new Indian restaurant Marcus has been wanting to try out.”
“Sounds nice.” Harry walks into your bedroom with Valerie in his arms as you sit at your vanity and get started on your makeup. You watch him from the mirror as he slowly walks around your bedroom, just looking around, examining the framed pictures and little memories you keep on your walls, shelves and dresser.
You catch his smile when he sees the photo you and him got from Rosa and Steven, you put it next to a childhood photo of Rosa and you.
“You had braces?” he asks looking at that photo.
“For three years.”
“Well, they surely did a great job on your smile,” he teases you. You know you had a quite crooked smile back then, it was actually your idea to get braces. One insecurity off the list once they straightened your teeth, a lot more to deal with that couldn’t be fixed that easily.
Harry continues to snoop around as you do a quick, natural look, just the bare minimum. You don’t necessarily like wearing much makeup, but you like what just some mascara and blush does to your appearance. You leave the room a little to blowdry your hair and when you return, Harry is sitting on your bed, eyes watching over Valerie, who is playing with one of your pillows that has a fuzzy cover on.
You catch Harry’s eyes from time to time as you loosely braid your hair, watching yourself in the mirror. He always smiles when your eyes meet. When you’re done with everything at the vanity, you step to your small closet to find something to wear. You narrow down the choices for three dresses, but you can’t quite decide which one would be the best.
“Wear the light blue one,” Harry speaks up, grabbing your attention.
“I was thinking about that one too.”
“You wore it to dinner once a while ago. It looked great on you.”
“You remember it?” It’s a surprise he remembered since it was quite some time ago, more than a year, to be exact. You weren’t on good terms back then, but it seems like he still had an eye for the small things.
“Yeah,” he chuckles softly, his cheeks turning red again as he turns back to Valerie. You grab the dress from the hanger and go to the bathroom to change.
It’s one of the kind of dresses that just don’t let you wear a bra, but you’re fine with that, because the final look makes up for the discomfort it causes. You try your best to pull the zipper up, but your flexibility didn’t get any better through the years. A heavy sense of deja vu comes over you as you walk back to your room, holding the dress to your chest. Harry looks up at you curiously and you don’t miss how his eyes wander up and down your body.
“Could you please zip me up?”
“Sure,” he breathes out as he gets up from the bed and steps behind you.
It’s just like the day you met, you suddenly feel like it’s years ago and he is helping you zip up your bridal dress. His fingers brush against your skin the exact same way as he pulls the zipper up, and his fingertips even run over it once it’s all done, like they did back then. You wonder if he thinks the same or it’s just an irrelevant little moment to him, nothing more.
Stepping to your mirror you take a look at yourself, Harry standing a few steps behind you, his eyes taking in your look as well. For a moment you doubt this is the look you should go for, but as if Harry could feel your hesitation he steps forward and his eyes catches your gaze in the mirror.
“You look amazing. Marcus is a lucky guy.”
Turning around you smile at him breathing out your thank you.
It’s nearing seven so you quickly pack your bag and choose a coat that goes well with your dress while Harry packs Valerie’s stuff. Just when you put on a pair of white heels your phone starts ringing and Marcus’ smiling face appears on the screen.
“Hi, I’ll be right down in a second.”
“Great, see you in a bit.”
When all three of you are ready to leave you lock the door and you head down. There’s a heavy silence between the two of you in the elevator and you don’t know how to break it, but it’s almost painful.
“Call me if you are having trouble with anything,” you tell him as you walk through the hall, out of the building.
“I’m not gonna ruin your date night, but don’t worry, I had a great teacher,” he smiles at you. Marcus is parked right behind Harry’s car and he gets out seeing you walk out of the building. “Hi Marcus!” he nods in his way.
“Hey, didn’t know you were here too,” he smiles nicely and as he steps to you he presses a soft kiss to your lips.
“Just needed some help with this little Princess, but we are off. Thanks again, Y/N,” he smiles in your way as he buckles Valerie up in her seat.
“No problem.” Stepping to the car you peek inside catching Val’s attention. “Be good and don’t give Harry a hard time, okay?” you tell her and she just stares back at you with those curious eyes of hers. “See you later,” you tell Harry nodding his way before following Marcus to his car.
As you sit in the passenger seat you watch Harry start his car and drive away and suddenly you wish you were sitting in his car. Your heart is aching to spend the rest of the evening with him and Valerie.
The guilt quickly kicks in when Marcus asks about your day. You definitely shouldn’t be thinking about being with Harry instead of your boyfriend who did absolutely nothing to deserve to be thrown away.
You try your best to forget about Harry and focus on Marcus, because that’s the right thing to do.
It takes all your energy to stay present and focus on your surroundings and what’s happening to you, because every other minute you find yourself thinking what Harry and Valerie are doing right now and if everything is alright. You try to tell yourself that if something was wrong he would text or call you, but he said it himself he wouldn’t want to bother you during your date.
“Is there a specific reason why you are paying absolutely no attention to what I’m saying?”
Marcus’ voice snaps you back from your thoughts once again and you feel the heat crawling up your neck to your cheeks.
“Sorry, I just… I’ve had a tiring week.”
“You know, that’s totally fine, but you don’t seem to share it or anything without me asking about it. Is it something I do or you are just… not planning on letting me get closer to you anytime soon?” You can feel the little harshness in his tone and he has all the rights to be annoyed at you, but you still feel the need to defend yourself.
“That’s not true. I just tend to keep things to myself.”
“It’s fine, but building up a relationship kind of requires a lot of talking. I want to hear about whatever it is that’s on your mind. How else should I help you or be there for you if you keep shutting me out every time?”
“I’m sorry if it’s coming off this way, but I’m just… not used to this.”
“To what?”
“Having to always think about someone else too, not just myself. I know it sounds selfish, but I’ve been on my own for a long time, I need time to adjust to the changes.”
“You know that I wouldn’t push anything on you and that I’m gonna wait for as long as you need, but… sometimes I feel like you’re not even trying.”
“I am trying!” you snap, feeling yourself growing frustrated that he is questioning your efforts even though deep down you know he is right. “I do want to share things, it’s just…”
I don’t want to share them with you, you think to yourself and the thought makes you shudder. The worst thing is that in the back of your mind you know exactly who you want to share things with.
You shake your head with a defeated sigh. It’s a dead end and you clearly need to make a choice if you want to climb the walls and see what’s on the other side, even if it’s just another dump filled dead end, or you could just turn around and walk away with the possibility that you’ll never get to see what’s on the other side.
Part of you is struggling with opening up to Marcus because deep down you know he might not be the one for you, but the other part is violently holding onto him because… if it’s not gonna work out with him, who else will it? Marcus is everything any girl would wish for in a guy, nice, funny, good looking and caring. There is nothing you could bring up against him except that you just have this weird feeling in the back of your mind. If you can’t make it work with him, who else could you possibly try with? You constantly feel like you’re running out of time and chances. The music might still be playing and there are plenty of empty seats, but it will eventually stop and you don’t want to be the one without a seat.
Dinner cuts quite short as your little fight poisons the mood pretty fast. Clearly, Marcus is fed up because of your behavior while there’s nothing you really can or would do about it, so the drive back to your place is quiet and tension filled. He kisses you goodbye when he drops you off, but it’s more like a dry peck on the lips before you basically escape from his car.
You are quick to get rid of your dress and change into sweatpants and a hoodie, the urge to call Harry and check in on him takes over your thoughts quite fast and you find yourself calling him.
“Y/N, hey!” you hear his voice on the other end.
“Hi, how is everything going?”
“Everything is fine, I just gave her a bath, we’re gonna watch some cartoons and then I’ll try to put her to sleep. Are you already back from your date?”
In the back you can hear a shriek from Valerie and Harry coos at her, that’s followed by a giggle from her.
“Um, yeah. I…” sighing you close your eyes. You feel like an idiot, but it seems like you just can’t deal with your feelings tonight, so why not completely give up? “Can I come over?”
There’s a short pause before he answers. “Sure, of course. But is everything alright?”
“Yeah, I’m just… I don’t want to be alone.”
“Alright. We’ll be waiting for you right here.”
You call an Uber and in thirty minutes you are walking up Harry’s driveway. The lights are on inside and the nerves you’ve been fighting on the way here feel to dissolve quite fast, as you think that he is still up, even though he told you he’d be waiting for you.
You ring the bell and just a few seconds later Harry opens the door, Valerie in his arms, now wearing a pink onesie with the hood on her head.
“Hey, come inside,” he invites you in. “Can I get you anything?”
“No thanks, I’m fine.”
“So,” he sighs after locking the door and turning to face you. “Wanna talk about it?”
“Is it okay if we don’t?” you ask biting into your bottom lip. You know he is probably dying to know what made you want to come over and that you probably should tell him since you are seeking shelter at his place, but you just don’t have the energy to talk about it.
“Totally fine,” Harry smiles and you return it with a quiet thank you. “I was just about to put Val down to sleep, wanna join us?”
“Sure.”
You follow him to his bedroom where the same portable bed is set up that was in your just a few months ago. Harry lays her down bringing a blanket over her as you sit next to the crip while he grabs the book Rosa packed. Harry joins you on the floor, your legs mingling as you sit facing each other and Val can see you through the sheer side of the bed.
You watch her in awe as Harry starts reading a story, Val listening to his deep voice as if she understood every word that left his lips. A few pages into the story you see her eyelids slowly close and she eventually falls asleep, her little chest rising and falling steadily.
The two of you tiptoe out of the room so you don’t wake her up.
“I’m gonna make a tea, you want one?”
“Yes please.”
You walk into his kitchen and while you sit on a stool at his kitchen island he starts the kettle and digs into his little box that’s filled with filters.
“Apple and cinnamon?” he asks, holding two filters up and you nod your head. When the water boils he fills up two mugs and throws the filters into them before placing them on the counter in front of you.
“You know, I’m a little mad you had it so easy with her,” you point it out with a smirk, making him laugh.
“I made it up with the panic at the beginning.”
“You really had nothing to worry about. You did great.”
“Thanks,” he chuckles shyly. “Y/N?”
“Hm?”
“I know you said you don’t want to talk about it, but I just need to ask. You’re not feeling down because Marcus did something to you?”
You smile at how careful and protective he is. Shaking your head you turn your gaze to the mug in front of you.
“No. It’s just…” You have to take a deep breath as you feel the tears forming in the corners of your eyes. “It’s stupid,” you breathe out shakily. Harry notices what’s going on and sliding off the stool he steps to you enveloping you into his embrace as you curl your arms around his torso and bury your face into the soft fabric of his shirt on his chest.
You really didn’t want to cry, especially not in front of him, but it’s been piling up for a while and tonight has been a little too hard for you.
“Shit, now I’ve cried in your presence twice,” you sigh with a shaky chuckle as you let go of him and wipe your cheeks.
“Actually, it’s been three times,” Harry huffs with a smirk.
“What?”
“You cried at the wedding too, when we were talking outside.”
“Amazing,” you shake your head with a bitter laugh. “I don’t even remember that.”
“No surprised, you were quite drunk by then,” he chuckles. “But it’s alright, don’t worry about it.” There’s a pause where neither of you really knows what to do or say. You feel like such a cry baby for breaking down at such a simple question, but Harry couldn’t know how deep it was digging.
“Hey,” he speaks up finally. “Wanna watch a movie? I have quite a few movies saved on Netflix that I’ve been trying to watch.”
The small smile on his lips eases your nerves almost instantly and you nod with a thankful smile. The two of you move into the living room and he puts on some kind of romantic comedy as you get comfortable on his huge L shaped couch. The movie is not the best you’ve seen, but it’s good enough to stop your racing thoughts and relax for a while.
When you know it’s nearing its end you think about if Harry will tell you to leave or let you stay. Because selfishly, you want to stay, and not just sleep on the couch. You want to sleep next to him like at Christmas. You miss what it felt like falling asleep with his arm wrapped around you and that’s exactly what you need today.
When the movie ends, you glance over at Harry who is examining the carpet, clearly thinking about something really hard, but you make the move he probably wasn’t expecting.
Boldly, you stand up and just simply walk into his bedroom where Valerie is still sleeping in peace. You climb up to his bed and make yourself comfortable under the covers, waiting for his reaction with your heart pounding against your ribcage.
You hear his tapping footsteps and you wait for him to arrive with your eyes closed. It’s just a soft huff that comes from his way when he stops at the door seeing you all curled up in his bed, but he doesn’t say a word. You hear him shuffle around a little before the mattress moves under you and he lies next to you. When he stops moving you turn around so you are facing him, only making out some of his features in the dark, but you can tell he is looking at you.
“Harry?” you whisper.
“Yes?”
“I’m gonna be a little more selfish now,” you say without any further context.
“Okay,” he breathes out, clearly curious what you meant by that, but he quickly figures it out when you move closer and cuddle to his side, laying your head to his chest. You tell yourself that it’s okay, you can be selfish sometime and just do whatever feels right. This is exactly that, just an act of selfishness because you want to be close to him, feel the warmth of his body and not feel so lost and alone for just one more night.
When you feel his arm weigh down around your shoulders, a wave of relief washes over you. Everything that’s been bothering you quickly fades and it’s just the two of you, lying in his bed in silence, but it has never felt better.
You think about how you would be okay with feeling like this every night for the rest of your life and you wouldn’t ask for more. Nothing would really matter if you could end your days like this.
But then you remember that you might be alone with this thought. That you shouldn’t let yourself get fooled just because he was there for you when you needed him. Maybe you didn’t even need him, just someone and he happened to be the closest. But you figure that’s not true, because you wouldn’t feel the same way with someone else.
You think back to when he apologized about everything he said after the wedding. He said that he was sorry and he shouldn’t have been such an ass to you, but he didn’t say he would act differently if it was to happen again. He would probably still end it right there, just in a nicer way and it makes you think that it’s all just his friendly side, nothing more.
And the thought that you are alone with this heavy and confusing feeling scares you to death, because you have no idea what you’ll do when you lose control over it.

An Unwise Interest
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Part 10
Previous || M. List || Next
Summary: Of course you love your brother but he can be a bit overly concerned and involved in your personal life. Things only get worse when you find yourself having a little more than “friendly” feelings for one of his best friends.
A/N: I’m sorry it took so long to post life’s been a bit much lately but it’s here now! Ta-da! Love interest revealed, and surprise surprise it’s Jihoon. Im sure you saw it coming but I hope you still enjoy!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Balloons are great and all but the set up and cleaning up is a pain, especially for what you have planned. Luckily you’ll only have to worry about one of those.
Deciding to not be completely mean you planned to fill the majority of the balloons with the confetti first and only a few with glitter. You set everything out side by side on Seungcheols bedroom floor. “Okay I’ve got the balloons and confetti but where did I put- Ah the glitter!” You said aloud to yourself with an evil-like grin as you imagine the look on your brother's face when he gets home.
Rather than waiting for Jihoon to get back, you started without him knowing he’d be against taking any part in it and would have to do some convincing. You tried your best to funnel the tiny pieces of paper into as many balloons as you could before inflating them.
Rather than waiting for Jihoon to get back, you started without him knowing he’d be against taking any part in it and would have to do some convincing. You tried your best to funnel the tiny pieces of paper into as many balloons as you could before inflating them.
Once it was time to blow them up you realize where you went wrong. There’s no pump, no helium tank, nothing. You thought to yourself, this is that stupid pre-prank karma isn’t it. All you could do now was pray your lungs make it through.
10 balloons in and there are many regrets going through your mind. Tying the ends is starting to hurt your fingers, bring rubber bands or ribbon next time. Starting to feel a little lightheaded having to blow them up. Gotta remember to get a pump for these things! Some of the confetti keeps slipping out and getting in your mouth. Why does this feel so dan-
There was a loud thud that came from the other room interrupting your thoughts and making you inhale sharply with a balloon still at your lips. Going hand in hand with your last thought the timing was great because now you’re choking and there’s an intruder. Trying your best not to completely panic when you hear footsteps rushing towards you loudly coughing, you look around the room and realize you have nothing to defend yourself with. what a great way to go.
“Are you okay?!?!” Jihoon yelled as he barged into the room, “what happened!”
If you could this is where you would’ve let out a sigh of relief, but no, still choking on paper.
He practically leapt to your side and aggressively patted your back trying to help, which it did a little. When you caught your breath you quickly faced him, “what the hell, who just comes home and immediately starts slamming doors and shit?? I could have died because of you!”
“Are you being serious?” Jihoon stared at you in disbelief, “first off you’re in my home”
“It’s also my brothers.” You stated as a weak argument against him
“Still not yours. And second that wouldn’t have happened if you weren’t doing all of this” he motioned to the mess you’ve made on the floor. “So who’s really at fault here?”
“wow just blame the victim I guess” You folded your arms “I never took you for that type, I’m disappointed Ji”
His jaw dropped, “the v- you?? You're joking right? You’re the victim?” Scoffing at your claim “right and I’m in the nba”
A small laugh fell from your lips before you could catch it, you cleared your throat to hide it “anyways, were you going to help me with this or not?”
“Would I have brought these if I wasn’t?” He held up two plastic balloon pumps “I had a feeling you didn’t have one, and of course. I was right”
You rolled your eyes “yeah alright well let’s get to pumping, I’m tired of almost dying doing it the old fashioned way.”
Sitting on the floor across from you and grabbed a balloon to start with, “no one told you to take it this far, so that's on you” he shrugged
He wasn’t wrong, you were the one that wanted to do all this but it was going to be worth it in the end. At least you hoped it would be. Of course seeing his initial reaction to seeing it all would be fantastic but after that there's no telling what he’ll do.
As you both sat there with balloons starting to pile around you, you started to think about what your real plans for after college were. “Hey Ji, can I ask you a question?”
“Was that not it?” You squint your eyes back at him and he sighed, “go ahead”
“How did you know to decide on being a music major? Like I know you’re really good at all of it but how do you know that’s what you want to do forever?”
He kept his eyes on the balloon in his hand “Because it’s my outlet, my contribution to the world. It doesn’t reach many people as of right now but for those that it does reach it makes them feel something that only music can. Music is like the medicine everyone needs at some point. It makes me feel good to help people in that way and I want to be able to reach and help as many people as possible.” You had watched the way his smile grew as he spoke about his passion but quickly fell as a pink showed over his cheeks when he looked back up to see you watching his expressions.
There was a sudden pop and with that rubber and confetti was everywhere. You jumped slightly at the noise, “oh no!” You giggled “well that’s one less for him to worry about later”
“At least it wasn’t one with glitter in it” he added while dusting the pieces off of his shirt.
“Very true, that stuff never comes off” you agreed “hang on you got some in your hair”
You leaned over to pick off the few pieces that made it up there before realizing he was reaching to get those same pieces. Though instead of the paper it was your hand he grabbed.
(Que the cheesy kdrama music: Duu dudu duu dudu duu)
Your face immediately burned red as you felt a small panic rush over you. “Sorry I just-“ You laughed lightly as you pulled your hand back, “you know what, I could use a snack break” you stood up and raced to the kitchen. Oh god why am I like this? It wasn't even bad! You thought to yourself pretending to look through the cabinets. Did I make it more awkward running in here like that? Shit.
In an attempt to make it better you decided to make both of you a pb&j, but also as a thank you for helping you finish even if there wasn’t much to do. “Grape or strawberry?” You yelled with your head basically still in the fridge. There was no answer “Ji!”
“Strawberry” his response surprised you with him being much closer than you thought. He had joined you in the kitchen and was grabbing the bread from the counter behind you.
“How did you know what I was going to make?” He looked at you with a straight face. You rolled your eyes and took the bread from his hands. “Maybe I was going to use crackers, make mini pb&js.” You finished up and set them on plates at the table across from each other.
He followed behind you, sliding a glass of water to you before taking his seat. It was silent as you both sat there eating before Jihoon spoke up, “so I’m going to guess that you’re still struggling to pick your major.”
“Says who?”
“Not even 10 minutes ago you were asking how I picked mine.” He pointed out as he picked up his sandwich.
“Well what if I just wanted to get to know you better, make small talk you know?” Trying to defend yourself.
“Okay so then what did you decide on?” He questioned.
“I haven’t.” You responded sounding defeated “what if I do pick and then change my mind then I would have wasted so much time and money for nothing”
He rolled his eyes, taking another bite. “Just don’t think of it like that, think of it as broadening your horizons, explore your options. What do you enjoy doing?”
“Being with my friends? I don’t know”
“Fine, what are you good at?” He waited for an answer as you just stared back with a blank face. “Seriously? How about a planner like for parties and stuff?”
“Me? Plan things? I can’t do that” you laughed at the thought of it.
Completely at a loss for words he gets up and motions for you to follow. You do while bringing what’s left of your sandwich. He led you straight back to your brother's doorway and stood with his arms crossed. “Did you not plan this?”
“This is different. It’s a prank, not a party” you tried explaining, “this is something simple. But we should hurry and finish because he should be home soon.”
He rolled his eyes at you trying to change the subject, “yeah alright but at least think about it. It doesn’t hurt to explore all your options.” he sat on the floor and picked up another balloon. “Especially when you have no idea what you’re doing with your life.”
You scoffed and tossed a handful of deflated balloons at him “I’m sorry, is that judgement I hear?” he looked up at you with raised brows. “At least I’m trying to have fun and enjoy my life instead of staying locked away in my room.”
“I do not stay locked in my room.” He tried defending himself
“Oh my bad, locked away in the studio.” you correct yourself.
He then threw some balloons your way, “I go out and do things. I can have fun and enjoy life”
You took that as a challenge and picked up some confetti and held it in your fist, “you sure about that?”
“Y/n, what are you doing?” he put a hand up as a barrier questioning you.
“What? Are you scared?” you pulled your arm back preparing for launch.
“I just can't tell what you're throwing at me.”
“Let's find out then” as soon as you threw the paper he reached for the glitter and was ready to throw some back. “Wait wait!” you tried reaching to stop him but it was too late, it was everywhere. He was bent over with laughter as you sat there covered in glitter glaring at him. You picked up another container and sprinkled it over him, letting it fall everywhere.
His laughing slowed as he froze when he saw sparkles coming from him. He let out a short laugh before quickly grabbing your arm to keep you from dropping anymore on him. “Really?” Your first thought was to grab it with your other hand, but as you did that he caught you with a smirk
You tried pulling away but with his grip it only forced you to scoot closer to him. There was now a warmth growing on your face as you stared back at him trying to think of your next move to get out.
The smirk still on his face “now what? Are you done?”
Something dropped at the doorway forcing you to both turn to see your brother standing with his bags at his feet “what the hell is going on in here!!”
Suddenly your hands we’re free and you rushed to your feet. “Wait cheol-“
“Out of all the people and all the places! You two?! IN MY ROOM?!!!” He started towards Jihoon.
Moving yourself between them “wait wait it’s not what it looks like I swear!!”
Jihoon was up and backing away slowly “you know me.. we friends.. roomies.. just take a breath”
“Y/n go home I’ll talk to you later. You.” He point at Ji “we need to talk now.”
You grabbed your bag and basically ran out the door. it’s fine it’ll be fine I’ll check on them later. After I’m far away and he’s cooled off.
Obviously you felt bad for leaving the situation like that but what else could you do? Seungcheol was a little scary when he’s mad.
Please Don't Say Goodbye | Tsukishima Kei/Reader
Characters: Tsukishima Kei, Reader, Yamaguchi Tadashi
Pairings: Tsukishima Kei/Reader
Warnings: light swearing, crying, implied panic attacks, arguments, yelling, ummm lemme know if I missed anything
Word Count: 2181
A/N: This was meant to be a drabble- okay, in my defence, I've had such writers block and apparently the feels were necessary soooo. This is 1 of 2 fic ideas that were sent to me by @satan-ruler-of-hells for a prompt thing I did (idk if I can find the thing) and the next one is Tendou. So, maybe get ready for more feels of my almost 5 am angst. I also did not proof-read this, sooooo
--------
How had things ended up like this?
Every little thing was like the calm before the storm - the most tense calm that had ever existed; you were walking on eggshells, and maybe so was he, but you couldn’t help it. At least, you thought you couldn’t. Each attempt to try and fix the mess around you only ended up in more heartbreak.
The storm that always seemed to be headed in your direction had tore apart the home you’d meticulously built together. Plates and picture frames shattered to the ground; glass leaving you walking on bleeding feet. The flowers of your love torn apart somewhere in the distance now. Breath stolen from your lungs, but not from those kisses he’d give you back in high school, not from the way he’d dance with you around his bedroom (only to shove you onto the bed when his brother barged in), not from your outrageous laughter at something stupid that had happened. This was a breath stolen from countless nights arguing, screaming, trying to gain the upper hand in a situation where you were both at a standstill. A breath stolen from your heaving words as you scrunch your hands into your roots, pull your legs close to your chest and shove yourself into a corner while he slammed the door and left to God knows where. Breath stolen from the realization that maybe things just weren’t working like they used to, and that it was okay to love him, but to not be in love with him.
Tonight was just another picture perfect example of why you weren’t meant to be together. You’d come home late from work (because of some stupid assignment that you just wanted to finish today). He was sitting on the couch, scrolling through Netflix for something to watch. Honestly, you just wanted to eat something, so you didn’t bother greeting him, but the moment he noticed your presence in the house, he was hot on your tail.
“Where were you?” His voice sharp as daggers, digging under your skin and tearing you apart piece by piece. His arms are crossed over his chest, eyes so judgmental you feel like you’re in court. Nothing you say is the right answer, so you choose to not say anything. Apparently, that wasn’t the right answer either - this you find out when his iron grip settles on your shoulder and forces you to turn around.
“Hey-” you winced, trying to pry his fingers off.
“Where were you?” He repeated, basically growling at you through his gritted teeth.
“I was at work.” You rolled your eyes, turning your attention back towards the fridge, trying to ease the beating of your heart. In, hold, out. You repeat to yourself, barely remembering what all those instagram therapists had told you.
He scoffed, finally releasing his grip in favor of slamming the fridge door shut, “really? Because the last time I checked, your work ended two hours ago. What could you possibly have been doing for two whole hours?” He was in your face now, making you know how pissed he was.
But you already knew. You’d always known. Why did he need to try and make it so blindingly obvious to you?
“Oh, for fuck’s sake, Kei, I was working. What part of that is so hard to understand?” You snapped back, moving away from him with a heavy sigh. At this point, you didn’t bother holding back the venom in your words. You knew he had issues (and you knew why) but did that mean he should take it out on you? No. Fuck.
“Two hours! Y/N, I was waiting two hours. I was going to take us to dinner, we were going to have a nice time.” He followed after you, closing every cupboard door you opened, trying to get your attention. “But you didn’t even send me a text. Were you too busy fuck-”
“Oh my God!” You yelled over him, spinning around to face him with your pure unfiltered aggression.
Back and forth you went for what felt like hours. Tears were acid down your cheeks, your spit a very special concoction of venom just for him. And yet, even as you were dry heaving in the kitchen sink, yelling more obscenities at him, you could never seem to stop. Neither could he.
Tsukishima Kei was known for a lot of things, being an asshole was one of them. That you knew too well.
For a while, though, things were good. He loved you. You loved him.
As he sits there, accusing you over and over of cheating on him, even though you hadn’t and you wouldn’t. God.
When had he become so anxious and persistent that things were going wrong? Yes, they were going wrong, but not for the reasons he keeps saying. It’s driving you insane, to the point where you can’t even remember those stupid breathing techniques, or grounding techniques, or anything.
This argument had lost the plot at some point around when he started yelling at you for doing the dishes wrong (you still insisted there wasn’t a wrong way to do them). So you bit back that his clothes were stupid, or that dinosaurs were stupid, something. Something was stupid.
“If you have so many problems with the way I choose to live my life, then get the fuck out.” You screamed, slamming your fists down onto the table and pointing to the door. His expression was scrunched up into something completely unrecognizable - a fine mixture of hatred and anguish. His chest rising and falling so rapidly you’re amazing he’s still standing. His hair is a complete and utter mess, so many times he’d ran his hand through it to try and make sense of the nonsense you were both spouting.
“Fine, I will!” He yelled back, voice hoarse from the past two hours.
You watched him head towards the door without a second thought, grabbing his coat, shoving his shoes on. You didn’t have the energy to call out after him, no matter how much your heart begged you to.
And your heart did beg you to; but it had already accepted that the end had been coming for too long.
You lean back against one of the cupboards, looking up at that one crack in the ceiling that he’d insisted he’d get around to fixing but something had always come up.
If you had to say what was wrong in your relationship, it would just be something. Something was wrong, and neither of you knew what it was, but something would be your downfall. Something filled the air with poison and made you destined to hate each other; something danced around in your words and twisted the meaning; something caressed your cheek as tears fell.
Something was your downfall and you didn’t have the energy to fight it.
So, maybe you’d call in sick the next day, and your boss would believe you because your voice sounded like hell; and maybe you’d spend the entire day lying in bed despite the fact your stomach was beginning for some nutrients; and maybe it would feel good to not have that nagging voice that you shouldn’t sleep in all day.
But today would have felt nicer with him by your side.
If there was one thing Tsukishima Kei was good at (after a lot of practice), it was making you feel just a little bit better with his empty promises and sweet nothings.
So, maybe you’d dressed yourself in his shirt and breath in him; and maybe you’d grab that dinosaur plushie you’d bought him for his birthday so many years ago and pull it to your chest; maybe you’d sleep on his side of the bed even though his pillow wasn’t as fluffy as yours; and maybe, just maybe, you watched his favourite movie on repeat, hoping it would bring him back to you.
Those were all maybe’s. But maybe they did happen, and you wanted nothing more than to be in his arms and tease him for his glasses that he insisted were cool. Or to have him laugh at you for the fact you majored in literature, despite the fact you weren’t good with words.
When your phone rang, you didn’t hesitate in picking it up, almost too excited for his voice, “Kei-”
“Y/N…” Yamaguchi’s voice was soft, understanding. It killed your fire of excitement in an instant.
You listened to him talk, something about how Tsukishima had decided you needed a break and would be staying at his place for a little while. Something about how he still loved you, but he didn’t want to keep hurting you like this.
It wasn’t a surprise that you didn’t manage to keep it together and broke out crying all over again, basically screaming and begging for things to be okay. There was no doubt in your mind, if Tsukishima was in the room with Yamaguchi, then he’d heard your cries.
“I’ll be better…” you whimpered, after far too long, “I’ll be nice. A-and… I won’t make fun of his glasses. Or dinosaurs. Please… please, Yamaguchi, please tell him to come home!” You cried out, unsure if you even managed to breathe.
He was silent on the line. You couldn’t take it. The silence, you wanted the noise. You’d prefer the arguing over this.
“I’m sorry…” Yamaguchi said weakly, and you knew how much it was hurting him to say this.
He hung up the phone and you were left as a shell of yourself.
And yet, your life must go on. So, for two months, you pushed your problems to the side and kept dredging forward in the hope that the answer to your problems was in one of these articles. Hoping that your co-worker would tell you some shitty anecdote that would distract you for just a little while.
Yo couldn’t look at your apartment anymore, not as little pieces of him were still littered everywhere.
Only, one day, you came home and he wasn’t anywhere. You didn’t notice it, not at first, but then you saw his mug from your museum visit in his third year of high school wasn’t next to your matching one. And then neither were his books on the shelf in your living room, or under the coffee table. His clothes gone from the closet. Every inch. Every detail. Every bit of him you had left had disappeared in the span of one work day.
And you were left with nothing.
With as much energy as you could muster, you turned and ran in the general direction of Yamaguchi’s house (which was hopeless, considering you had the directional capability of a broken compass and the stamina of a dead horse). You really were hopeless as you dialed his number, ignoring the way the moon taunted you in the sky.
He answered, for whatever reason, and you let out a breath. “What is it?” His tone was even, but something told you he was barely holding it together.
“Is this it?” Was all you could say. Head dizzy as you looked for Yamaguchi’s house - which you just knew was somewhere around here.
“It’s been it for a long time.” He really sounded robotic, like he was reading from a script.
“And you didn’t think to tell me?” Your voice broke as you ran, ignoring the splintering pain in the balls of your feet, “you thought making Yamaguchi say you needed a break, and then disappearing for two months, and then only reappearing to take your things back was the answer?” You cried out.
“You know-” his voice cracked and he stopped speaking. God, it hurt you so much.
“I never wanted this.” Tears were pouring down your cheeks.
“You think I did?”
“No-”
“I tried, Y/N, I tried so hard. But you would never listen to me!”
“I tried too, Kei!” You tried not to yell, and you hoped that it worked.
Some miracle brought you to Yamaguchi’s door, the one you only recognized because of the little frog statue on the windowsill. You pressed the doorbell, hoping for the best.
“I tried because I loved you. And I waited for you, I waited and hoped you’d come back. I-” you ran your hands through your hair once again. “I know we aren’t the best, that something is always wrong, but we can work on this. We can… fuck, I don’t know. You were the smart one…” he let out a low chuckle laced with pain. “But we can work something out, can’t we?”
There was a pause, and Yamaguchi opened the door, shocked to see you. Your breath hitched but neither of you spoke.
“I… I can’t do this anymore…” he admitted, and you felt your heart shatter. “Y/N, this is it…”
You could see Tsukishima pacing in the living room just down the hall, and you know Yamaguchi knows you’ve seen him. His phone pulled away from his face, finger shaking over that familiar red button.
“Please don’t say goodbye…” you called out.
PAIRING: bodyguard!bucky barnes x innocent actress!reader
WARNINGS: age gap
A/N: i’m still stunned at how many of you are enjoying this story. thank you so so much for your support. much love xx
NEXT CHAPTER
Tumblr media
Bucky always woke up at 5AM and waking up at 5 AM was already considered a victory for him - to sleep through the night. Once the digital clock flashed 5 AM in electric red, his eyes were wide open, the sight of constant darkness being the only thing he could see. His routine was precise, as precise as time itself and it barely changed - gym then a dark cup of coffee followed by reading whatever coffee side table book Steve would linger around.
Y/N, unlike him, didn’t have a precise routine. She enjoyed routine but her mornings were always her own time, away from everything. On her free days she would try to wake up by at least 10. After she was fully awake she would turn on the TV in her bedroom and turn on the kettle for a nice tea. She would then lay in bed, surrounded by her blankets and dressed in an oversized cardigan while some random show played.
Bucky’s mornings were always filled with people coming in and out, that was life living in the Avengers headquarters. Some mornings he thought about moving into the apartment in Brooklyn but that would just upset Steve. Heck, he didn’t even know Bucky had bought the apartment, it had been an impulse buy and he would go there every week to check on it. However, Brooklyn wasn’t as close to Y/N’s in SoHo so he guessed he would stay. Y/N’s mornings on the other hand were quiet, too quiet. It was just her, just her in a two bedroom apartment in the middle of wealthy SoHo.
      - Morning, Buck. - Steve, like always, walked into the kitchen, coffee mug saying number one dad in hand. He always had this smile that Bucky couldn’t find the words, a smile that was almost glad that he was still alive yet pitiful. The pure look of someone who’s been burdened, a mother to a child’s look, one she didn’t want. - Excited for guarding your first client?
      - Feels more like guarding property. - he mumbled over the dark coffee, chugging it all before anymore questions could be asked.
It shouldn’t be a hard day, he thought to himself, mostly looking after her if she decided to go out for anything. He had looked into her profile, she was an easy target. Almost always wearing heels, flowey clothing, things that wouldn’t help her if someone was after her. Anyway, looked like an easy job, easier than saving the world.
Meanwhile, Y/N was laid in the middle of her covers, remote in hand as she skimmed through the channels. Looking around she noticed the loneliness she was in, the empty walls decorated with her own choosing but still empty. No sounds, too quiet.
She rose from the bed, big socks touching the cedar wood floor as she padded up to the kitchen. The agency had had everything decorated and the fridge stocked but as she opened the door she couldn’t find a single thing she wanted to eat. Disappointed, she closed the fridge, leaning against it to look at the rest of the flat. It was quiet, too quiet, filled with the sounds of quiet if that was even a physically possible thing. She let herself slide down the fridge front, sitting on the floor as she thought about what to do. She didn’t have her script yet, or at least more than two pages of it and going outside was the least thing she wanted to do today.
Y/N was about to fall asleep on the ground against her fridge, she heard footsteps. Quickly, she got onto her feet, rushing over to the door so fast she almost slipped. Pushing the peep hole away she put herself on her tippy toes to see if one of the neighbours was home.
     - Y/N, are you staring out the peep hole? - the person whose steps belonged too was definitely better than any neighbour. Quickly, she unlocked the door, pushing the metal that held it shut to the wall and opened it to see Bucky in a much more casual attire than before. Red henley with some loose dark jeans looked better in her opinion. - If you hear someone it’s always a terrible idea to use the peep hole. Almost always let’s them know someone’s in.
     - Then what are peep holes for? - Bucky playfully rolled his eyes but not before observing what she was wearing. She looked more comfortable. - Do you wanna come in?
     - Miss Olson said I am to wait outside your door until you want to leave the apartment.
     - What if someone broke my window and took me?
     - Trust me, Y/N. I would know and would win that fight.
     - You sure you don’t wanna come in? I could cook you some breakfast. Whatever you like. - she had that shine in her eyes, Bucky couldn’t explain it. He just knew it didn’t felt forced but she surely was nervous judging by the pushing of her oversized cardigan’s sleeve to cover her hand. - The agency filled my fridge with so much food I don’t know what to do with it.
     - I’m not a breakfast kind of person, Y/N.
     - Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. - her small hand came to rest over his wrist, pulling at it so he would go inside. He found it amusing how someone who was much shorter than him, head barely hitting his collarbones, would try to move him. Although, surprising wasn’t the fact that he moved but the fact that she touched him, she touched the Winter Soldier.
Bucky wasn’t a kid anymore, he wasn’t naive and he lacked Steve’s “all good” view of the world so he knew what people thought of him. They thought he had been of use but at the end of the day he had been the Winter Soldier for 70 years. They didn’t dare touch him but her she was inviting him into her home and touching him as if he were an old friend.
Once he got in, he immediately looked at everything. There were fake flowers everywhere in little glass jars, if they were broken and she were trying to escape she would get hurt, too many windows and not a lot of mirrored surfaces, people could look in.
     - Would you like some pancakes? French toast? - her voice interrupted his inspection. - My mom was a cook, I can cook pretty much whatever you want. Can’t promise it will be as good as a cook’s but it’ll be edible.
     - You really don’t need to feed me, Y/N. - his gaze returned to her apartment, open doors everywhere.
     - I just thought ... since you’re going to be around a while we should be friendly with each other. - she looked down at her feet before looking up again, head slightly looking to the side. - I don’t know anyone in here, I didn’t even pick this apartment so I thought I would at least get to know you.
She felt ashamed, heat seemed to radiate from her cheeks to her whole body. Back at the theatre everyone knew each other, they all had show themed hoodies and would say hi whenever they came in and left but things in Hollywood were different. In her first movie she had made friends with only one cast member who still spoke to her but everyone else did their job and returned to their lives without a single hello. She thought that maybe knowing Bucky would make having someone constantly in her life a bit easier but she understood his position.
Bucky himself seemed to read that all on her face and as he did a thought popped into his head “they are gonna eat her alive”.
     - Let’s try that French Toast. - she smiled at his answer, once again pulling his hand towards the kitchen. It was spacious for a SoHo flat, with cut edge technology and also a very visible knife set. He would have to tell her to put that somewhere else.
She on the other hand quickly assembled all she needed, placing it on the marble countertop, a happy grin on her face as she started to prepare the meal. It reminded him of memories he had tried to suppress.
     - Mum’s a cook, why are you an actress? - those memories were still memories he wasn’t ready to get back and as such he reckoned speaking with her would keep it out.
     - I don’t really know how to explain it. - she smiled, pulling a few hair strands behind her ear. - My mum took me to a musical after I didn’t get cast in the nativity play. It was Phantom of the Opera, I just remembered that chandelier rising and crashing and the energy of the performers. There was just ... that was time stopping and rushing at the same time. And the look on the performers faces as they finished a piece, god it was just, I had never seen and I don’t think I have ever seen such passion in someone’s face.
Bucky moved his head ever so slightly, she seemed to be lost in her own memories, a daydream gaze washing over her features. He wondered what it was like to have memories to be proud of.
     - I’m sorry, I must sound like a sap. Why do you become a bodyguard?
     - I like a challenge.
     - That’s what you told me yesterday. - she placed a beautiful set plate in front of him. Beautiful things make beautiful things, that’s what his mother once told him. Maybe she was right.
     - What can I say, I’m not that interesting.
     - I don’t know if that’s true. - she added a coffee cup to the French Toast, before pulling a chair. - You know, if I’m at home you don’t need to be outside my door, you can come in.
     - I wouldn’t want to intrude on your personal space.
     - It’s not really my personal space. The agency bought the flat and decorated it themselves so I guess it’s just the space I live in. I don’t really know the city yet so you’re mostly waiting outside for nothing. - she shrugged.
    - How long have you been in New York?
    - A little over 5 months. I was in California during my last movie and prior to that I was living in Haymarket in London. How long have you been in New York?
    - I was born in Brooklyn, about half hour away from here. Lived here my whole life ever since ... at least the part of it I could control.
Bucky waited to see that pity look, the one everyone in the team seemed to give them whenever they looked at him but she didn’t. She merely wrapped her hand around his, caring smile of someone who almost looked proud he existed or proud he was alive. They’re gonna eat her alive, he thought to himself once again.
    - Hey, you could show me around. - she suggested, jumping from the high chair onto the floor.
    - I don’t hang around SoHo, Y/N.
    - Well, you could show me Brooklyn. Isn’t Coney Island in Brooklyn?
    - You wanna go to Coney Island? - he chuckled. - I don’t think your agency would enjoy that. Too public.
    - They don’t need to know. - she smirked playfully. - If you don’t tell them they won’t know.
    - You’re a celebrity, trust me you’ll be noticed.
    - You said on your CV you were good at blending and disappearing into a crowd. Please, I’ll get you whatever you want in Coney Island.
    - Whatever I want? - he furrowed his eyebrows at her and she nodded. - Alright, Y/N.
line without a hook
Pairing: Tom Holland x female! reader
Summary: Tom takes care of you after a party, forcing you to realize that maybe he’s who you should have been with all this time.
Warnings: Cheating boyfriends, alcohol
-
“Where are you going?” Tom asked drowsily, sniffling upon walking into the bathroom you two shared. The smell of your perfume wasn’t overwhelming, but it smelled a little sweeter than normal. He saw steam coming from the hair tool you were using, too, and his eyes narrowed.
“Party. Jack’s,” you responded, looking over at him. He had just woken up from his second nap of the day. He’d gotten back from filming possibly the most action-filled movie he could ever think of, and since then he’d been mostly nocturnal.
“Oh. Let me know if you need me to come get you, I should be awake,” he shrugged as he reached for his toothbrush. “You look great, by the way. Be safe.” You turned to him as you shut off the hair tool and smiled. Tom was always so sweet to you - always willing to pick you up from parties, always taking your call even if he was in the middle of filming. You’d only met him through Harrison, but the two of you were closer than you ever thought you’d be. He just made you so happy. And until that night, so did your boyfriend of ten months, Jack.
It was no secret that Tom hated him, though. There was always an excuse for him to not be there for you, even when Tom was. He would be working when you needed help with something, so Tom would do it. He said he was asleep the night you called him when you got in a car accident, so Tom came to be with you instead. It was a theme, and you deserved better. But Jack was such a sweet-talker that you didn’t even recognize when he was manipulating you. So, yeah. Tom hated the guy.
You finished up in the bathroom and exited through the door that was attached to your room, just as Tom exited toward his room. You mumbled a goodbye and got your shoes on, then called a car to take you over to Jack’s.
Quite honestly, Tom fell asleep halfway through a cutscene in his video game. He wasn’t really all that worried about you - you always went to parties at Jack’s and you always came home, safe and sound, even if it was the next morning. But he woke with a start, feeling as his phone vibrated against where he’d laid it in his sweatshirt pocket. Your contact picture lit up the screen, causing him to squint before turning down the brightness. He just barely missed the call, enough to see on his lock screen that you’d called twice already.
He unlocked the phone to see that you’d left him two obviously drunk texts - one that said Tommyyyy come party! and another that said Comgin hmeo son, forgot my kye!! The latter of which had been two hours ago. He sighed and tried to look at your location on the map, but it was off for some reason. He called you, again, and you answered on the third ring.
“Hey, what’s going on?” He asked in an obviously concerned voice. His concern got worse when you didn’t answer him right away - instead he stood up in the empty living room and eyed a pair of his brother’s shoes in the corner.
“Tommy?” You cried. He stopped dead in his tracks, worry filling his stomach.
“Hey, it’s me, what’s wrong?”
“He cheated on me,” you sniffled. “I walked in to his room to go to bed ‘cause there’s a surge on Uber and I didn’t want to pay that much, but I knew you were busy, but he was in there with Jessica. Fucking Jessica. Fuck, Tom, I knew he was cheating on me.”
“Where are you now?” He asked, walking into the kitchen to find his keys. Or anyone’s keys, really.
“I’m on the front porch.” You hiccuped. You were still drunk. Drunk enough not to react to what Jack was doing and walk out the door instead. Tom found his car keys and ran out to the parking pad, trying to fight the anger that was building up inside of him. He imagined you felt probably the same way, only a lot more heartbroken. Tom was heartbroken, but for you. For the fact that this guy had fucked up not only his chances with you, but that he’d betrayed your trust and you would never be the same way again. But he was angry as hell, too, that anyone would have the nerve to hurt you like that.
“I’m on my way, okay?” He said as he started up the car.
“Okay. I’ll be here.” You hiccuped again, and then slid your finger on your screen until the call hung up. The party was still going on behind you, but you couldn’t care less. You were freezing cold, first of all, in your lack of clothes. Your makeup was running all over your face. Your phone was on four percent, and you weren’t sure if you even wanted it on at all. The music was blaring in Jack’s house, or his parents’ house that he just rented from them. Everyone inside was none the wiser, or didn’t care, about what had just happened. Finally Tom’s car pulled up and you stood, wobbly on your feet, watching as he got out.
“Jesus Christ, you’re freezing,” he said as he walked forward, pulling off his jacket and throwing it over you. He put a hand on your head to make sure you wouldn’t hit it as you got in the car, shut the door behind you, and walked to the other side.
“Thank you,” you mumbled as he sat down, shutting his own door. The silence in the car settled for a moment before he reached his hand over to yours and took your shaking fingers.
“Let’s get you home.” You nodded and kept holding his hand, not able to bring yourself to let go. You were over your crying for the most part, but you had a feeling you’d never forget the image of your now ex-boyfriend and his fling. You were silent for most of the drive, and then as Tom pulled back into the driveway he repeated the same motion to get you out of the car.
“Alright. I’m gonna fix you something to eat, okay? How does breakfast sound?” You nodded a little bit, walking over to the kitchen island to sit down. He went to the fridge and got you some cold water, setting it in front of you as he started making a single cup of coffee. He handed it to you as it was done, then started to get out a pan as quietly as he could. You watched as he made you food in silence, then put the plate of eggs and bacon in front of you.
“Why are you being so nice to me?” You asked him.
“Because,” he shrugged. “You’re one of my best friends. You got your heart stomped on, and you need to sober up before you remember everything and get sick because of it.”
“You sound like you’re speaking from experience,” you noted.
“I am.” He acted like it was nothing to him, but he had remembered how he felt when his ex cheated on him. He’d felt like absolute scum, like it was his fault, even though he’d done nothing but love that girl as hard as he could have.
“I’m sorry.”
“Yeah. Wouldn’t wish it on anyone. Just eat up, alright?” You nodded and finished eating as he took your phone upstairs, partially to plug it in and partially to hide it from your sight. Even though it was on one percent, he looked at the lock screen. Your ex hadn’t even cared enough to call you about it. What the fuck, he thought? Who could do that to you?
“You done?” He asked as he watched you push the empty plate forward. You nodded, laying your head on top of your elbows on the table. He could smell alcohol in your hair, and so could you. You were becoming increasingly aware of what happened, too, but it hadn’t quite hit you yet. Nothing had hit you yet, and you weren’t sure you wanted it to.
“I’m probably gonna sleep on the couch tonight,” you decided as you eyed the stairs. Yeah, there was no way that was happening. The thought made Tom laugh a little bit, but he wasn’t about to let you stay alone.
“Do you mind if I keep you company? We can have a sleepover,” he said. He moved his hand to jokingly poke yours, trying to get a smile out of you. You didn’t feel much like smiling, but you nodded.
“I’d like that.” He smiled.
“Alright. I’ll be back in, like, five minutes. Go get something out of the laundry so you don’t smell like alcohol.” You nodded and stood up, walking over to the laundry room. You found a pair of your underwear that was drying and one of Tom’s exceptionally long sweatshirts and threw it on, sniffling. You looked at yourself in the mirror. You looked absolutely, positively wrecked. Tom appeared behind you, probably to make sure you were okay, and he paused in the doorway with a sigh.
“I look awful,” you sniffled.
“You’ve been through a traumatizing experience, you’re allowed to look awful. If you did. But you don’t. You never look awful.” He tried to cheer you up, but it didn’t quite work.
“Thank you, Thomas, but I’m drunk and I can’t even walk up the stairs, I’m not boyfriend-less, and now you’re having a sleepover with me out of pity.” He scoffed.
“So you think pity’s the reason? You really hate me that much?” You rolled your eyes and stumbled back into the living room, where Tom had pulled out the part of the couch that had a built-in ottoman, basically making it a bed. It wouldn’t be the first time you and Tom had shared a bed-like surface.
“Where’s my phone?” You asked, not seeing it on the coffee table next to Tom’s.
“Hiding it. I don’t want you looking every five seconds to see if that ass has said anything. If I’d have known your passcode I would have blocked him.”
“He’s just gonna come to the house, then.”
“And he’s not seeing you. I’ll come out in a hazmat suit and give him all of his stuff.”
“Why are you being so protective of me?” You asked as Tom turned on the TV, knowing that you needed it on to sleep properly. He got into the mess of blankets beside you, moving the pillow from his bed over to your side.
“You have to stop assuming that there’s a reason I’m doing these things. What if I’m just doing something to make you feel better? What if I’m doing these things because I think you deserve better than him but I know that you don’t get that?” You shrugged and laid your head against the pillow, realizing that it was going to be covered in mascara.
“Maybe I don’t. Deserve better. I mean, I had to have done something to make him not want me anymore, or want someone else over me.”
“You did nothing wrong!” He insisted, moving the joystick on the video game controller until he navigated to your favorite show. “Anyone that cheats on you is just... stupid, frankly. If I had you, I would do everything in my power not to mess it up.” He sounded so casual when he said it, but you could tell he was lying. He was a fantastic actor. But one of the worst liars you’d ever met. He always had a hollow voice when he lied, and this was no exception. But you were almost asleep, half from the exhaustion of crying and half from the alcohol.
“If I were yours, Tommy?” You said sleepily. “I would be the luckiest girl in the world.” You turned around so that your back was facing his chest, just a few inches away from touching him, and fell asleep.
The next morning you woke up turned the other way, using his arm as a pillow, and of course there was dried drool on the pillow too. Gross. You felt ridiculously safe beside him, thinking at first it was your boyfriend. And then you realized it was tom. You realized you didn’t have a boyfriend, not anymore, at least. You pulled the comforter off of yourself upon realizing what a mess you’d made of things. Of everything. You’d maybe just ruined your friendship with Tom, too, because you’d acted like a baby who couldn’t take care of yourself.
You stood in the mirror of your shared bathroom, looking at your makeup on the vanity before what was left of it on your face. And you hated everything. Maybe your looks were why Jack cheated. Maybe you weren’t wearing the right makeup and he thought you looked ugly. Maybe... You shook it off and started the shower.
When you were completely cleaned off, skin irritated from rubbing, hair dripping wet, you went back into your bedroom. You checked your plugged-in phone to see that Jack hadn’t even tried to call you. Not once. Jessica had tried to DM you, though, multiple times. You just deleted the request and went on with your life. A figure appeared in the door and you wiped away the tears forming in your eyes with the sleeve of your sweatshirt.
“Hey, I saw you slept in the den, you didn’t get sick did you?” Harrison asked as he walked through the hallway. “Because I had to clean it up last time while you were still dying and I’m not doing it again.”
“No, I wasn’t sick,” you said quietly. Enough to where he cocked his head and noticed that you were upset.
“What happened?”
“I screwed things up. Royally. With everyone. I walked in on Jack cheating, I cried all over Tom all night, made it sound like I’m in love with him and probably confused the shit out of him, and...”
“You’ve been in love with Tom the moment you saw him. Absolutely everyone knows that. I’m sorry that Jack cheated on you, but maybe it’s a good thing. Maybe you and Tom can...”
“He doesn’t want me like that. Trust me.”
“No, trust me. He does.” You walked toward the door and shut it in Harrison’s face, not meaning to be rude. You just needed a little bit of time to figure things out. And you thought you had time for a few seconds, until something overturned in the bathroom and Tom gave you a bit of nervous laughter.
“How much did you hear?” You asked as your face started to heat up.
“Almost all of it,” Tom said. “But...”
“But nothing, Tom. I just keep screwing everything up, with everybody,” you said more to yourself than him, walking over to your bed and putting your tired face in your hands that still smelled like your shower gel.
“You’re not screwing anything up,” he shrugged, following you into your room. “To be honest, I do like you. A lot. But I kind of resigned myself to the fact that it was never gonna happen when you started dating Jack. And then he started treating you like absolute shit and it was almost like I thought I could save you from him, or something, or make it hurt less when you got hurt. But now that we’re here... It would be a div move to ask you out or something right now, wouldn’t it?” He laughed a little bit, scratching at his hair that was all messy from the way he’d slept.
“I like you too.” You brushed your shoulder against his, feeling a kind of spark, almost, that you’d never felt with Jack. “And you didn’t have to be there for me last night, but you were. And that says a lot more than the fact that Jack hasn’t even bothered to call and Jessica’s only tried to DM me. Could we maybe just... take things a little slow? Like, really slow? Like, friends who really like each other, until maybe I don’t cry seeing a pair of his shoes in the corner of my room like I’m about to right now?” Tom got up, picking up Jack’s pair of Nikes that were in the corner of the room beside a pair of yours. He threw them out the door before returning to you and offering an arm. You felt all of the tension and stress leave your body when it was surrounded by his, and you shut your eyes and counted until it was too long.
“How about I get some clothes on and we can go to that breakfast place you like. I’ll even buy you a mimosa. Or two.”
“I don’t think I should drink right now, but I love the offer. Give me five minutes to dry my hair.” You laughed a little bit and stood up, watching as he left the room. Your smile didn’t fade from your face until you thought about Jack again. In fact, every time you saw Tom it was like the sunshine took over and the hills too big to climb on your own were suddenly a little bit smaller. Yeah, you thought. You could be happy with Tom. Very happy.
Gn mc if you can. And may i get your personal headcannons for a mc that was affected by the paws and claws potion and turned into a sheep? Like fluffy hair, ears and tail?
Yes! I shall!
GN Mc as a sheep and the brothers reactions!
Aside from the occasional dirty eye at Satan and Mammon over destroying the antidote, all was well in the Hall of Lamentation. Belfie was cuddled up with his tall taking a nape, Beel went to raid the kitchen, Asmo was taking selfies and blowing up Devilgram with is "cute looks", Satan was watching the fish on the TV occasionally batting at them, Levi was looking up anime characters he could possibly cosplay with his current looks, Mammon was chasing a lazer light, and Lucifer was watching you tease Mammon with said lazer light. All was calm. Untill you felt a pain in your stomach, it felt like you stomach was twisting in knots. Then your head started throbbing, your body started to ache.There was a sudden Pop! And your pain was gone. Reaching up to grab your head you hands brushed against something fluffy? And why did you suddenly want to eat grass?
".....Oh no....." apparently eating grass wasn't the only instinct you gained. You were the prey in a den of predators. So you did the natural thing.
You ran.
Lucifer.
- This really appealed to his inner (and outer) wolf. He was up and running before you disappeared around the corner.
- You could hear his footsteps pounding as he chased after you, looking over your shoulder you yelped and kicked it to high gear. He was less than an arms length away, and the look in his eyes, that wasn't the prideful first born. That was a wolf on the hunt.
- Your mistake was making a break for your room, Lucifer already knew that, so when you went to make the turn he was ready. He grabbed you by the shirt and pulled you into him. The first thing he did was bite your neck staking claming you as his. You whimpered when he pulled his teeth out, mean while he cooed and licked at the mark.
- After he finished treating the bite he carried you to his room and sat you on his bed. He climbed on to of you and started to kiss down you body and stopped when he reached you bottoms, he put his fingers around the waist band and tugged them down, he smirked when you whimpered.
" What sounds can you make for me my little lamb? Just let this wolf devour you, you won't regret it trust me."
Mammon.
- He knew what was happening when you dropped the lazer light and he was ready to pounce. The minute you two locked eyes he was ready and when you ran he flipped the coffee table and chased you down.
- He will sabotage his brothers to make shure they can't reach you. Will throw things at them, trip them, wack them with his tail, he will do just about anything.
- There's no elgagance when he catches you, it was a full on leap tackle and carried you to his room. No way in Devildom was he taking you to your room where all his brothers were going.
- Once he has you in his bed, he rips off your shirt and kisses and sucks on your neck. As he's doing this he keeps purring and mumbling about how he finally has you.
" I want you, I want you so bad, lamb please just give your self to me. I promise it won't be bad, just give yourself to me please. Just be my lamb, just be all mine."
Levi.
- Levi was the one to attack his brothers, holding back Asmo he screamed for you to run. His voice would reverberate around the room with his comand. There is no urge to hunt you. Instead, his instincts demand him to protect you.
- After taking Asmo down he went for his older brothers as they were the ones closest to you. With strength only the third born could have, he plowed through his brothers to grasp your hand. Quickly, he would usher you into his room.
- If any of his brothers were to follow, he would plant his feet firmly on the ground with soft stomps. Then he would lower his head to flash his horns at his brothers, warning them that he won't hesitate to fight.
- You notice he doesn't seem to sit down for hours as he paces the room. Giraffes almost never sleep on the ground, feeling too vulnerable to take more than a six minute nap for fear of predators. Levi won't let himself rest, not when he has you to protect.
" You doing alright? I really don't know what came over me back there, sorry if I scared you. Just no I'm not gonna hurt you Mc, that's the last thing on me mind."
Satan.
- After recovering from taking a coffee table to the shins, he was at Mammon's heels hissing and clawing at him with the full rath of house cats across the dementions.
- After separating the tiger from you, he makes sure to rub up against you. He covers you head to toe with his scent because you are HIS, and his scent is the only one allowed on you.
- He will take you to his territory after you're drenched in his scent. You aren't going anywhere anytime soon, he will bring you food himself and make sure it wasn't touched by anyone else.
- As long as you're within his sights he can relax and lay his head in your lap, because you are warm and you are his pillow now. He demands it with grumpy growls when you startled away the first time.
" Hey Mc, can you take your clothes off? I'm tired of senting your clothes this time I want to sent your body. Who knows maybe one your clothes off we can do more."
Asmo.
- He may be a panda, but don't forget he's a bear. Underneath that cute cuddly appearance is a bear that wants a chance at seducing this cute little sheep.
- He'll be the one who offers to help Mc after they tire out of running from his brothers. Stating he's in control of himself, this is a lie.
- He's the one who'll talk to you so sweetly and softly, he's not one to chase his prey he wants his prey to come crawling and begging for his attention. And he's not one to get his hands dirty.
- After Mc is convinced and goes into his room they're not coming out till he's had his fill. Not one to waist time your clothes are shredded, and your pinned to his body.
"Oh Mc~, your so cute like this, from your soft little ears to your fluffy tail~. Ne ne, do you mind if I take some pictures of you like this? Don't worry I'm not going to post these, these are only for me."
Beel.
- In retrospect running to the kitchen wasn't the best idea especially since Beel was currently filling his bottomless stomach. With a deep inhale he pulled his head out of the fridge and started your way.
- Running wasn't really an option, Beel has long legs, a long reach, and speed on his side. Before you could move you were in his embrace, pinning you to him he started purring and licking at your sheep ears.
- His tongue was bigger and rougher in his current form and every time he hit a sensitive spot you'd let out a Yelp and start to blush. He'd laugh and continue to lick at the spot.
- Every time his brothers came to the door he'd grip you and growl, this was his den and only you could be here. He would protect you (and the fridge) from intruders.
" When I lick here you really start to squirm does it hurt? No? Then does it feel nice? Alright, then I won't stop, I won't stop until I've gotten my fill of you."
Belphie.
- Belphie was crafty, he laid traps for all his brothers and started his hunt. He enjoyed taking his time to hunt you down, slowly going from room to room calling for you.
- He was really shocked you weren't in your room, why wouldn't prey go to their one safe spot. Then again if he was here then how safe was it really.
- With a huff he continued to hunt you down, stomping down the hall he glanced around and saw your tail out of the corner of his eyes. With a smirk he followed you up the steps.
- So this is were you've been hiding, in his attic claiming it as your own. Well at least you made the catching part of the hunt easy for him, but your going to pay for making him walk around for hours hunting you. Wrapping his tail around you he woke you up.
"Hey Mc, nope don't even try getting up, you've been hiding in this attic and your not leaving it yet. I really need a nap and your the perfect pillow to help me. But don't think your off the hook yet, you're going to pay for making me hunt you for hours. Oh don't look so scared, I'll be gentle...at the start.
A/n
I finally finished it, this took so long and I had a friend help me with it, but I finally did it.
Part 3 | Part 4 | Part 5
Tumblr media
Taehyung POV:
It was hard to describe what I felt when I was that girl with my boyfriend. My Yoongi. He had his arm wrapped tightly around her way. He called her baby. That was my nickname. I was always his Taebaby. Kookie was his prince, and Jiminie was his pretty boy.
Yes, I was jealous. Yes, I was angry. I had hoped that none of us would find our soulmates because I didn’t want our dynamic to change. We were fine just the seven of us. We didn’t need anyone else in the equation.
I glared at the pair of them as they checked out. I wasn’t really in the mood to buy new lingerie anymore. The girl turned to look at me, Joonie, and Hobi, and me and her made eye contact. Suddenly, colours flooded into my vision. I stumbled backwards, my back colliding with Hoseok’s chest. He and Namjoon both looked equally surprised.
“Taebaby, you okay?” Namjoon asked, wrapping his arm around my waist to keep me steady. No, this was not okay. I was not okay. This wasn’t possible.
“It doesn’t make sense.” I mumbled. “It’s not possible.” I shook my head. “No, no, it’s not possible.” I repeated. “What just happened? Why can I see colour?”
“I can see it too.” Hoseok admitted quietly.
“And me.” Namjoon agreed. He looked confused. I glanced up at him, silently asking what we should do. He knew my facial expressions. When I got nervous, I sometimes wouldn’t talk so Namjoon had learnt to read my face to know how I was feeling. “I don’t know what we should do, Taebaby.” He looked over to where Yoongi and the girl had been stood, but they were gone now. “We’ll talk to him tomorrow at the fanmeet.”
“Is it possible, hyungie?” I asked, looking at Namjoon.
“I don’t know. It is, but I don’t know why.” Namjoon replied. “Do you want to buy anything or go home?” He asked, looking at me and stroking my hair out of my face.
“I don’t know.” I said looking around. All the lace and silk was tempting me. “I’m not really feeling it at the moment.”
“Okay, baby, we can go home and cuddle?” Hoseok suggested. I nodded.
“That would be nice, please, hyung.” I said, allowing Hoseok to pull me into a hug and the both of them to lead me out of the store and back to the dorm.
Y/N POV:
I twisted my fingers around nervously. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to go through with the plan anymore. They hated me. It was clear to see. Taehyung was glaring at me. I was sat in the living room, letting all the thoughts cloud my head. Taehyung was never going to like me.
“Baby, dinner’s ready, are you okay?” Yoongi raced to kneel in front of me. “Baby, what’s wrong?”
“They hate me!” I said, letting the tears roll down my face. “It’s not going to work!” I sobbed. “Taehyung was glaring at me, and Namjoon looked so disappointed and disgusted!”
“They what?” Yoongi looked pissed. “Okay, baby, look at me.” He took hold of my hands. “They don’t hate you. They are angry because of what happened.”
“But that’s not my fault!”
“I know, jagiya, I know.” Yoongi kissed away my tears. “If you don’t want to, you don’t have to come to the fanmeet tomorrow, okay?” He said. “Not if it’s going to upset you so much.”
“I’m sorry.” I apologised. I didn’t want him to be disappointed with me.
“Don’t you dare apologise.” Yoongi said. “Don’t worry, okay, let’s eat and then we’ll cuddle and watch a movie.” He said, taking hold of my hand and pulling me up with him.
Yoongi POV:
My alarm went off early the morning of the fanmeet. I groaned and sat up, turning it off not wanting to wake up Y/N. I leaned down and pecked her on the lips before leaving her a note and getting dressed. I was out of the door within ten minutes, knowing I would have be at the dorm before the van came to pick us up.
I made it to the dorm ten minutes later, the cold air biting at my exposed skin on my face above my mask, and my uncovered hands. I shivered, pulling at my beanie as I realised that the van was already waiting outside. I walked over to it and got on. There was no one there yet so I decided to sit right at the back, making sure to put my bag on the empty chair next to me.
The six of them appeared at the same time. Instantly, the van was filled with awkward tension as none of us knew exactly what to say to each other. I was angry at them, and they were angry at me. My phone buzzed with a message from my princess. I smiled as I read it.
Jagi ❤️️: I love you too, oppa! Don’t get too angry at them today, remember ARMY is always your top priority. Send me a pic of your outfit please! Have fun and don’t be too grumpy!
I chuckled at her message, quickly typing one back. I missed her already.
My lil meow meow ❤️️ 🐱: I’ll try not to be too grumpy, princess, but I’m annoyed at them for how they treated you yesterday. There’s some leftover noodles in the fridge if you want those, or you can order something if you want. There’s money in the drawer by the front door. Be safe!
She sent me back a red heart along with a screenshot of her breakfast order, saying that she was having both. I looked up from my phone, seeing that Jimin had turned around in his seat and was staring at me carefully. It was hard to tell what he was feeling - he was always good at hiding his emotions if he wanted to. We made eye contact and he shot around in his seat, leaning his head on Hoseok’s shoulder, earning a forehead kiss. I felt a pang of sadness shoot through me. Usually Taehyung would be sat next to me, curled up into my side, scrolling through social media and giggling when he found something funny. Now he was sat next to Namjoon, not even bothering to look at me.
My phone buzzed with another message. It was a picture from Y/N showing her breakfast. She had also taken a selfie with the leftover noodles, saying they were the best thing ever. The van stopped, signalling we were here. The others got off first and then I followed, wanting our interaction to be as little as possible.
Hair and makeup sped past and I found myself dressed and ready, waiting to be called out. I was first done, and then it would normally be Taehyung. I sat on my phone after sending Y/N a pre-fansign selfie. The door opened. I looked up and saw Taehyung. I looked back down at my phone, knowing that if I talked to him now, I would explode with anger.
“Hyung?” Taehyung sat down on the couch beside me, leaving some space to be respectable. “I need to talk to you about something.” He said.
“About what, Taehyung?” I asked, not even looking at him. He needed to know how annoyed I was. He needed to know what he had done wrong.
“It’s about your soulmate.” He said, making me scoff. Y/N was the one thing I didn’t want to talk to him about.
“What do you want to tell me this time, Taehyung? That she’s a gold digger? That she’s just using me for money? All of that is a lie, Taehyung! And I am sure of that, okay?” I said, my voice harsh. He flinched at the tone of my voice.
“I wasn’t going to say that, honestly.” He said, his voice small.
“Until you apologise to me for what you said, I honestly don’t want to hear it.” I said, pocketing my phone and standing up. “Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to go and calm down.” I walked out of the room.
I knew I was harsh with him. I waited until the door was properly shut behind me before I slid down the wall, burying my face in my hands. I loved Taehyung with all of my heart, but what he said was wrong. He had to know that Y/N was going to be a part of my life now, whether he liked it or not.
“Hyungie?” I looked up, seeing my precious little Jimin. “Are you okay?”
“I’m fine, Jimin.” I said, sighing slightly as I sat up, leaning the back of my head against the wall.
“No, you’re not.” He said, sitting down next to me. “What’s wrong?” He reached over and took hold of my hand, his small fingers wrapping around mine.
“None of this is my fault, Minnie.” I said huskily, knowing that I was on the verge of crying. “I can’t chose when I meet my soulmate or who they are. And nobody understands that!”
“I understand that. I know it’s not your fault.” Jimin said, looking at me, his eyes full of sympathy. “I wanted so badly to come over to your apartment and see you. I really want to meet her. I think we all need to get used to her being around and possibly being a part of our relationship otherwise our dynamic is going to be off.”
When he said this, my heart skipped a beat. At least one of them cared about me still. “Why didn’t you come over?” I asked softly.
“Joonie wouldn’t let me.” Jimin said. “He said we needed to give you time and space, but I knew that was something you didn’t need. I wanted to speak up so badly when he told you to leave but I knew my opinion wouldn’t matter to him.” His eyes searched my face. “I’m sorry.”
“Hey you do not have to apologise. You have done nothing wrong.” I said, stroking his hand. “You tried your best, Chim, and that’s all I’ll ever ask.” He smiled slightly at that. “Tell you what, after the fansign, how about you come home with me and you can meet Y/N.” I suggested.
“Is that her name? It’s beautiful.” He said.
“You’re beautiful, pretty boy.” I said, making him blush. I stood up, pulling him up with me.“I missed you so much.” I pulled him closer, wrapping my arms around his waist.
“I missed you too, hyungie.” He said, kissing me gently on the lips. I groaned slightly, feeling myself go hard.
“Do we have time for a quickie?” I asked, checking the time, seeing that we still had thirty minutes. “Okay, come on, quickly. I need those pretty lips around my cock.” I dragged him into an empty bathroom, pressing him against the door and attacking his neck with my lips, being careful not to leave any marks.
“Yoonie.” He whined, pressing his hips against mine. He was hard against my thigh.
“Okay, baby, take off your clothes and put them neatly on the counter. I don’t want the stylist noonas to kill us.” I ordered as I undressed myself, folding up my clothes neatly.
“Hyungie please.” Jimin begged, palming himself through his boxers. He looked desperate, his full lips shiny red. His tongue swiped across them as he let out a breathy moan.
“Shh baby.” I said, pushing him down slightly so he would drop to his knees. “Now suck my cock like a good boy and I’ll eat you out after.” He nodded eagerly and pulled down my boxers, freeing my dick from its confines. It sprung up, the head a dark red colour. He stroked it a few times before taking the tip in his mouth and sucking on it like a lollipop. “Fuck Chimmie.” I groaned, having missed the feeling of his mouth. “You feel so good, baby. Gonna make me cum so hard.”
He smiled around my cock and swallowed, deepthroating me. My hands itched to pull at his hair, but I knew it would ruin all the stylist noonas hard work, so I grabbed hold of the counter behind me. He hollowed out his cheeks and moved his head up and down before taking me out of his mouth and licking the prominent vein on the underside of my cock, staring up at me seductively.
“Are you gonna cum for me soon, hyungie?” He asked, taking me back into his mouth and sucking hard. I could feel the knot begin to form in the base of my stomach. His lips were stretched around me as he gagged slightly from the intrusion in his throat.
“Fuck!” I moaned when I felt my tip hit the back of his throat. “Yes baby, I’m gonna cum.” I said, tightening my grip on the counter so my knuckles were white. “Stay still and open your mouth.” I thrusted into his mouth, his hands coming up to rub my hips. His 13 tattoo showed through the bracelets he was wearing on his wrist. “Fuck baby, such a pretty mouth.” He smiled up at me around my cock, swallowing as I entered his throat.
When he did that, the knot in my stomach became impossibly tight. “Baby, I’m going to cum!” I groaned, thrusting a few more times before the knot snapped. “Good boy, take it all.” I crooned as he closed his mouth around me to keep all my cum in his mouth. I pulled out of his mouth. “Swallow.” I ordered. He opened his mouth wide to show me that he had swallowed it. “Such a little slut.”
“I’m hyungie’s slut.” Jimin purred as he pulled down his boxers. I pulled him close to me, thumb brushing over his nevermind tattoo on his chest.
“Want me to eat you out, or finger you kitten?” I asked. He hummed in thought.
“Both please, hyungie.” He requested, bending over so his upper body was resting on the counter.
“You are such a little slut for me, kitten.” I said, running my hands over the globes of his ass. I pulled them apart slightly to expose his hole. I bent down and moved my tongue over it, making him shiver and moan out softly. ched round and pushed my fingers into his mouth. “Suck.” I said. He got to work, swirling his tongue around each individual digit, coating them in saliva. After a few minutes I pulled them out of his mouth before pushing two into him, making him cry out. I use my tongue as well, making the wet muscle lick over and around his hole.
He moaned out as he panted slightly, his legs shaking. “Already close, baby?” I asked, knowing the tell tale signs of him about to cum.
“Yes, hyungie. Ahhhh.” Jimin moaned as I added another finger, moving down to lick at his perineum. “Hyungie yes, right there.” He cried out as I pushed against his prostate. “Can I cum, please, can I cum.” He begged.
“Go ahead baby.” I said, allowing him to splatter his cum on the counter in front of him. “Such a messy boy.” I chuckled, making him whine in embarrassment.
“Thank you hyungie.” He said, catching his breath. I grabbed some tissue and wiped him down.
“I love you, Yoongi.” Jimin said, pecking my lips.
“I love you too, pretty boy.” I replied. “Come on, get dressed, they’re going to be looking for us soon.” He nodded and quickly got dressed, putting on some leather pants that clung tightly to his ass and thighs. “I think you just gave me another boner, pretty boy.”
“Oh really?” He smirked, turning around, his chest bare.
“Put your shirt on.” I laughed, making him giggle. It’s strange that you never realise how much you miss someone until you see them again.
Throughout the entire fansign, Jimin stuck by my side, sometimes holding my hand underneath the table or I would have my hand on his thigh. We took selfies together and made each other laugh. It made me realise just how much I missed being around them and also how different things were going to be now, and just how ready I was for it.
The other members noticed this, and some had small smiles. But Taehyung and Namjoon still looked unsure. It was as if they didn’t trust me anymore, which is something I didn’t want.
Before long, the fansign was over and we were piling back into the minivan to take us back to the dorm. Jimin was tucked up next to me, his legs pulled up and curled to his side. He was scrolling through his weverse, replying to some comments from ARMY. He soon came across the selfie that I posted of me and Y/N, making him smile.
“She’s really pretty.” He said softly as the van pulled off and started driving.
“She is, but she’s had a really horrible life.” I said, making him nod in understanding. “So just be careful with what you say about here. And don’t, whatever you do, bring up her ex.”
“Why?” Jimin asked, resting his chin on my shoulder.
“Because he abused her a lot. She had run away, which is how I met her. She was going to sleep in the park.” I explained. “He just wasn’t a very nice person, and she was terrified of him. But that’s okay because she has us to protect her.”
“Is she an ARMY?” Jimin asked.
“Yes, she is.” I replied. “She was dancing to ‘Spring Day’ when I found her. She’s a dancer too.”
“Really?” Jimin sounded excited. “That’s so cool. We can do dances together and stuff.”
“Yes, we can.” I said with a smile, wrapping my arm around him and holding him close. My phone started to ring, making him jump. It was my baby.
“Hey, baby. You okay?” I asked as I answered.
“Yeah, I was just looking at photos from the fansign today. Have you and Jimin made up?” She asked, making me smile knowingly.
“Yes, we have. Is it alright if he comes over? He really wants to meet you.” I said, making her gasp.
“Really?” I knew how insecure she was about meeting them as she thought they all hated her.
“Yes.” I nodded. Jimin tried to grab the phone from me. “He wants to talk to you.” I said, making her give an okay.
“Hi!” He said excitedly into the phone. I could hear the murmur of her voice as she spoke back to him. He chuckled. “Yeah, it was fun. I got a lot of things from ARMY.” He paused as she spoke. “Really?” He laughed. “Of course. Oh, please order some of that. I’ll tell Yoongi.” I looked at him with a raised eyebrow. He mouthed “She’s ordering food for us.” I nodded. “We are almost at the dorm, so see you in about fifteen, twenty minutes. Of course, I can’t wait. See you soon!” He handed the phone back to me.
“Jagi?” I said, seeing if she was still there.
“Yes, oppa.” She replied.
“Are you okay?” I asked. “Feeling any better?”
“Yes, actually. I’m really excited to properly meet Jimin. It sounds like he is really all for me being added to the relationship.” She said, sounding happy. “I’ll see you soon. I’ve ordered pizza for us and we can have a movie night.”
“Sounds good princess. I’ll see you in a bit.” I hung up the phone and turned to Jimin. “Excited to meet your new girlfriend?” I asked, making him nod, a big smile on his face.
“I can’t wait to give her cuddles and lots of kisses.” He said, settling back against my shoulder. “We’re going to watch a movie together tonight. Can I stay over, we have a day off tomorrow?” He looked at me giving me puppy eyes. “Please hyungie?”
“How can I ever say no to this face?” I asked, cupping his cheeks and squishing them together, making him giggle. I pushed his blond hair out of his face as the van pulled up outside of the dorm. “Do you need to grab anything?” I asked.
“Nope. I’ll just steal your clothes.” He said with a small smile. “Come on, come on, come on! Let’s go!” He took hold of my hand and pulled me off the minivan and started dragging me towards my apartment.
“Jiminie, where are you going?” Namjoon shouted after us.
“I’m going to stay at Yoongi hyung’s tonight.” Jimin replied. “If you have a problem with it, I really don’t care.” He turned to me, dragging me again. It was quite sweet seeing him so determined to meet my soulmate. He really did care. Especially since he sassed Joon like that. “Come on, let’s go! The pizza is probably already there!”
“Okay, Jimin, we’re going!” I said with a laugh, allowing him to lead me to my apartment.
So, I know this is really long, but I worked very hard on it and I think that it might just be the best thing that I have ever written, so I would really appreciate if you read it, thanks.
I wish that I was a dog.
If I was a dog then I would sneak into my owners fridge and eat all of their bananas. All of them. I would keep doing it, over and over again. They would have to start keeping their bananas in secure places, but I would always find them. They could put the bananas in a locked safe and store it on the highest shelf, but somehow I would still manage to get those bananas into my big dog mouth. They would probably take me to the vet and ask the vet “Why does our dog keep on eating bananas?” but the vet would have no answer. The bananas didn’t seem to be making me ill, in fact I was more healthy than ever. Despite being a corgi, I had the strength of a rottweiler.
Eventually, they would just stop buying bananas. But that wouldn’t stop me. I would break into neighbors houses and steal their bananas. My hunger for bananas would consume my every thought, my every desire. I would grow and grow until I was twice the size of an English mastiff. Eventually, they would tie me to a stick like one of those naughty dogs but that wouldn’t stop me. I would still manage to break free, and then in a mad rage I would destroy the entirety of my owners furniture.
My owners would have no choice but to take me to a pound. “It’s such a shame.” they would say “He used to be such a good boy, but then he just got really into bananas for some reason.” But no pound could be able to hold me. I would escape, and run all of the way back to my owners house. I would smash right through my owners door. My owners would scream as I snarled and raged and dashed across their house. Then I would plant myself in the middle of the living room and snarl.
What could they do? They would rush off to the grocery store and grab as many bananas as they could. But that wouldn’t even be enough to satisfy me. They would have to start getting bananas in from the truckload. Spending thousands of dollars shipping in hundreds of bananas in, just to feed my appetite. I would get bigger and bigger, till I was 5 feet tall. “Surely, he’ll get sick of them. “ they’d say “either that, or he’ll die.” But I wouldn’t die, I would just consume and consume. Eventually, my owners money would start running dry. They would have to move out as my appetite grew. They would have to sell their house, which they worked so hard to afford to a woman named Patty so she could turn it into a thrift store. But I wouldn’t mind, all I wanted was bananas. Eventually, they couldn’t afford a home at all and they had to move to a large junkyard where they slept by snuggling me for warmth. It was in this junkyard that I would spend the entirety of my days, consuming more and more bananas. I would grow and grow till I was 8 feet tall. Then 10 feet. Then 20 feet.
Eventually, my owners would run out of money. “Please,” they would say “please buttons” (buttons would be my name of course) “We can’t get you any more bananas, don’t you think you’ve had enough?” but that would not sway me, and in a fit of rage I would swallow my owners whole. Then, I would leave my home city of San Francisco and make my way South, stopping at grocery stores to get my fill of bananas. I would sleep seldomly, with my only stops being to consume more bananas. I would run and run till I arrived in Costa Rica.
Oh, what a sight that would be. A group of poor Costa Rican banana farmers toiling away, when suddenly from the horizon appears a 25 foot tall Corgi. “?Que Carajo?!” They would say “!El Perro Es Gigantesco!”
Then I would snarl and they would run away in fright and I would gourge myself on the bananas. I would gorge myself on all of the bananas that Costa Rica had to offer till I was 40 foot tall. I would indulge myself ina  feat of bananas never seen before and then eventually the government would hear of this and they would be enraged! They would send helicopters to shoot me down but I would bat them out of the sky. They would tanks and planes and all sorts of weapons of war but I would squanch them without hesitation.
Eventually, the american banana companies would get worried, because their sales were dropping, so they would lobby for something to happen. They would obviously be successful, and then for the first time in history the united states government would declare war on a single dog. They would send the finest weapons that the world had to offer, all sorts of fighter jets and helicopters. They would send wave after wave after squandron of men and machines armed to the teeth. They would launch missiles and drop bombs and rain down everything they could on me save for a nuclear bomb. They would throw all of their military might at me, but they would fail.
 At this point I would have become almost a hundred feet tall. I would tower over buildings and skyscrapers. People all over the world would begin to worship me as a god. The banana workers of Costa Rica who had slaved for so long began to see me as a savior, someone who had come down to rid themself of the oppressive yoke of the banana industry. But, I would be no savior, I would just be one big corgi that wanted bananas.
I would gorge myself on all of the bananas that Costa Rica had to offer, until there was no more. Then, I would move to Nicaragua, then to Honduras, then to Belize,then back to Nicaragua, then to El Salvador, then back to Costa Rica, then to Panama. I would scour my way through all of Latin America, devouring every bananas I saw till I was 150 feet tall and growing.
Eventually, the U.S. government would have no other option then to build a giant robotic mecha corgi.
This mecha corgi would be deployed, with some sort of trained pilot inside and me and this mecha would have the fight of the century- possible even the decade. We would pounce and fight and tear at each others throats- and then- we would lock eyes and something would take over me. Something that I hadn’t felt in a long time. My owners had previously neutered me but all of my banana eating had them grow back. Next you knew, the mecha would become pregnant with my son- a half corgi- half mecha corgi. A cycorg, if you will.
But, I would not be around to see his birth, because I left my mecha girlfriend. I loved her, but I loved bananas more and so I left. I journeyed to Colombia and Venezuela and all throughout South America, always on the hunt for bananas, no amount of that sweet yellow fruit could ever quinch my eternal hunger.
The U.S. government would send more mechs after me, and I had some close encounters but, whenever things got to bad I would run. Eventually, things got so serious that I had to dog paddle my way to Africa. Thankfully, I managed to end up in Cote D’Iviore which was a country that the U.S. didn’t have any treaty or whatever with. I was safe. I gouged myself on bananas for many years sometimes I would think about that one true love I had, but my bananas kept me destracted. I didn’t even know that I had a son, or that he was growing up in a  secure facility in Nevada.
I grew and grew. At first, the government tried to stop me, but then they stopped. Eventually, they started to like me, they would bring me bananas and in return I increased tourism by 2,000%. In fact, I actually helped the economy of Cote D’Iviore. This allowed for many schools and hospitals to be buildt, massive reforms were passed in the government, infrastructure improved massively. Eventually, Cote D’Iviore became one of the most successful countries in the world and all it took was one giant dog.
People would come from all over the world to see me, but I didn’t care. All I cared about was bananas. When I wasn’t eating bananas I was sleeping or killing people who were trying to kill me. Sometimes I would eat them, but people didn’t taste as good as bananas.
Cote D’Iviore started to run out of bananas so they had to ask Ghana and Cameroon for help in exchange for economy. This eventually lead to all three countries becoming one country, and this country became a prosperous nation. I quickly became the national animal of this nation. I was on the state flag and all of the coinage. Massive statues were buildt of me and the countries name was Terre De Chien Geant (land of the big dog). I payed no notion to this. After all, I was a dog and I didn’t even understand politics. All I understand was bananas. And now, the country was working very hard to get me as much bananas as I could eat because the tourism money was huge. I feasted on bananas until I became 400 feet tall.
However, across the sea storm clouds were brewing. The United States government had no interest in killing me anymore. However, my Cycorg son was a rarity and of great interest to them. They figured that they could use him as a weapon to take on foreign threats. They got people to pilot him. I don’t know how it worked but the Cycorg needed a pilot.
Many years passed. Eventually, I grew till I was over a thousand feet tall. My Cycorg son did the same.
My Cycorg son gets deployed on his first mission, destroying a military base in Libya. However, the U.S. government was foolish in thinking that they could control him. He turns away from the military base and instead goes in search of me. The pilot that is inside my Cycorg son is helpless to control him as he moves through Africa in search of me.
He eventually catches on the hiff of corgi and bananas and follows it through the Sahara desert till he arrives at the Northern tip of the country I live in. There he travels East, till he finds me. I’m laying in the field I usually am in when I hear the sound of extremely large paw prints and cock my giant corgi head. Then, I meet his gaze. He growls at me. I am the man who abandoned him. His worst enemy. He leaps forward and pounces on me.
Needless to say, I kick my dumb furry sons butt. I stand over him, my paw pressed on his metal exoskeleton. Then I sniff him and I realize who he is. And in that moment, I realize I was fighting my son! I have a son! I never even knew! But… I don’t care. All I care for is bananas. Why? I do not know. All I know is that I crave bananas, and I am a two thousand foot tall corgi so no one gets to challenge my authority.
I pick him up by the ear, and in a feat of corgi strength I carry him to the ocean and drop him in.
My son paddles away, ashamed.
 Then the Romulans show up. “Oh shit! It’s the Romulans!” Says everyone.Then the Romulans leave because the only reason why they were there was because they got their directions wrong.
 Anyways, I go back to my usual resting place and my son, ashamed, dog paddles away. But, this feeling of shame quickly turns to anger and this anger quickly turns to rage. And so, when the U.S. helicopters show up to collect him he swats them down. My Cycorg son then goes berserk. He swims over till he reaches Florida. There, he goes ona  mad rampage.
First he arrives at Orlando, where he rips through the city. He reaches Disney World and Mickeys and Snow Whites turn to bloody pulp within his jaws. He journeys to Miami, and to Jacksonvill, and to Tampa Bay, and to Inglis. All fall before his wrath. Millions of people are slaughtered and billions of dollars are lost in property damage and thousands of cheese shops are destroyed. Mozzarella and blood lines the streets of multiple major metropolitan areas, and it’s all because of one kaiju cyborg corgi.
 The U.S. government throw everything they can at my Cycorg son, but they do not succeed. Eventually, they realize the only way to defeat him is me. But, how do they get me to come over to the U.S? First, they try a massive dog whistle. This does not work. Then, they figure it out.
I am chilling out in my field. When, suddenly in the sky I see the most beautiful sight that I have ever seen. A giant cat, made out of bananas. I leap up and run after it. Truly, this must be the most delicious thing ever created.
I dog paddle after it till I reach the coast of Florida, only to then realize that it was not real, but actually just one of those Macy's thanksgiving day parade floats. This enrages me immensely. I am about to go back to my home when suddenly I am tackled from behind. It is my Cycorg son! I don’t even have time to react before my Cycorg son chomps me directly in the paw. We tussle, and I could easily win but he has grown stronger and one of my paws is hurt.
We fight and fight, our fight taking us out of Florida, to Georgia, and then to South Carolina. Eventually, after 78 days I stand over my son. I have won. But, right before I am about to make the killing blow, I hesitate. This is my son after all. And, in that moment of hesitation my furry son does a hecking chomp. I fall off a cliff and into the Atlantic.
 I float through the Ocean, till I eventually reach the South pole. There, the water around me freezes and I am trapped in an iceberg, still alive.
 Meanwhile, my furry son has won. He howls victoriously. And then continues his rampage, going north. He knocks over the Empire State Building and shits on the Washington memorial. He humps the leg of the statue of liberty and pees on the white house. He demolishes the Sears tower and destroys Cleveland, Ohio. All fall before his wrath. All is helpless before my massive Cycorg son. Millions upon millions are killed. The U.S. lies in ruins. Meanwhile, I am literally chilling inside a block of ice.
My Cycorg son continues West, and some strange desire compels him to go to Los Angeles. He arrives there and moves towards Hollywood. There, right in front of the Hollywood sign. He digs. He digs and he digs till he reaches an underground chamber. There, in that chamber he finds Al Capone, the inventor of movies.
Meanwhile, at this very moment I am being discovered by scientists. They find my body and put it on a plane. They then take my body and put in a giant truck. This truck is currently carrying me to a museum, which just happens to be in San Francisco, the place where this all started.
 My son finds the body of Al Capone, spread on a massive movie projector. He then picks him up in his jaws and bounds out of the chamber with Al Capone in tow. However, this ends up causing The Job Apocalypse, where people become abstract representations of their jobs. Lawyers turn into law books, doctors turn into medicine, and politicians turn into the flags of countries that they represent. And, the driver of the truck that I am on, turns into a truck. This leads to the truck I am on having a massive truck sticking out of the driver's seat, with one of it’s wheels on it’s pedal. This causes the truck to keep on moving forward, towards its destination of San Francisco, with me in tow.
But, my Cycorg son doesn’t have a job, so he is unaffected. He takes Al Capone's form and bounds up North. Eventually, he makes it to San Francisco, where he lays down Al Capone and lays down beside him. He then falls asleep, Al Capone right beside him.
Meanwhile, the truck I am in enters San Francisco from the East while my son sleeps soundly by the side of Al Capone.
Then, in the middle of the night comes Patty. Patty was there when it all began. She was the one my owners sold their house to, and thanks to that she turned the house into a thrift store. So, when The Job Apocalypse came she turned into a whole bunch of knick knacks in the shape of a human form. Patty makes her way towards my son and Al Capone. Then she sticks out what could be called an arm, and wacks Al Capone. But then, right as she does it she gets run over by the truck that is carrying me.
Or, in other words: knick knack Patty wacks EVA dog's Al Capone, his old man's come rolling home.
Day 6: Can I have this dance?
A/N: I got the inspiration for this, thanks to @gisachi who like thousand years ago (or being more realistic, a half year ago xD) answered my ask about ShinRan dancing :3
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
The day had changed in the evening and somehow it was surprising how fast time flies by when you have so much to do. The whole day Ran hasn't done anything else than work. Go there, be there, and it wasn’t like Ran didn’t like her job, but sometimes she felt like there were too much to do to one human. It was evening already and like yesterday and the day before, there was still so much to do before she could even be thinking about going to sleep. Oh, and earlier she dreamed to curl up in her husband’s arms and just be. Seemed like it would stay like a dream. Well, at some point this rush is going to end, and when this happens, Ran would have enough free time to do whatever she liked. And that was her motivation. She could do this!
So, Ran opened the gate, which she closed behind her, and went through to the yard to the front door. The warmth and scent of the food in the hallway was her first welcome. Ran realised how hungry she was. God, she felt like she could eat anything!
“I’m home”, she shouted while closed the door behind her. She changed her shoes to the slippers.
“Welcome back”, a familiar voice greeted. Ran straightened her spine and saw how the man came out from the living room. He smiled. “How was your day?”
Ran sighed even though she didn’t want to. “Busy”, she answered and put her jacket on the coat rack. Then she stepped forward to Shinichi, stood on her tiptoes, and gave him a fast kiss on the lips before she has to lock up to study. “And I still have so much to do, so… Well, you know...”
Shinichi sneered, and Ran didn’t even stay to wait for an answer. She was ready to go to study  since Shinichi wasn’t working -, when suddenly a hand grabbed her shoulder and made her stop.
“But before you go”, Shinichi’s voice said behind her with a perky tune, “I have a little surprise for you.”
“Surprise?” Ran repeated when Shinichi turned her around and pushed her towards the living room. He stopped her in the doorway.
“Tada!” he shouted. “Dinner is ready, just for you and me.”
Ran didn’t find words. There was a candle middle of the table, two plates, glasses, and a jar of water. On the big dish, there were many kinds of sushi and on a bowl, there were fried noodles with sauce.
Ran smiled. She knew that Shinichi had ordered these foods from somewhere, just put them out on dishes, but still, the thought was still kind and beautiful. Moment of spending time together, eating together in the candlelight, in each other’s arms…
She felt her smile fading away slowly. So beautiful and nice thought…
She felt how Shinichi’s hands grabbed on her arms while he pressed himself towards her back. First, she felt his breath through her hair, then a slow, long kiss. “Moment of indulgence for my beautiful and lovely wife”, she heard him said. Another kiss. “And on the fridge, there is your favorite dessert.”
“Oh, Shinichi”, Ran whispered, and as much as she wanted to turn around and kiss him as a showing him how much she appreciated this, she couldn’t. Even the thought of breaking this moment was too much for her, but that’s how it was. She should just take some food with her and go to do work as soon as possible. She didn’t have time for this…
But as soon as this rush would be over, she would make this up to Shinichi. At least he had invested in this…
”I’m so sorry, love”, she said in the end and break out of his arms. She turned towards him and smiled as apologetic as possible. “I need to continue my work, I don’t have time for… this…”
“Ran…”
“I know, I’m sorry”, she interrupted and looked down. She didn’t want to meet his disappointed expression. Shinichi had worked so hard for this… And really, it felt so bad to turn him down. But she would make this up somehow, later… “You can eat, I eat a little later…”
Ran was already fleeing from the room when a hand grabbed her arm, making her stop again. Ran turned to him and looked at him. Surprisingly he didn’t look angry or disappointed. Instead, he smiled mischievously.
“That’s okay, but then, can I have one dance?”
“What?” Ran glared at him like she has heard him wrong. A dance? In a time like this?
Blue eyes didn’t break up from her gaze while his hand moved down on her arm to the palm. He grabbed it. “Can I have this dance?” he asked.
Ran waited that Shinichi would start to laugh or anything else which would show that he was just joking with her, but no. His facial expression didn’t twitch.
He was serious.
Eventually, Ran gave a laugh and looked away. “Shinichi, really, I don’t have time…” She tried to pull her hand out, but his grip just tightened. She silenced with confusion.
“I know that Mrs. Kudo’s time is expensive”, he said eventually, and even if Ran had declined stubbornly, he didn’t sound angry or disappointed. “But she has worked many days without breaks, so I demand: either you dance with me two minutes, or we are going to have dinner peacefully and without hurry.” He led her hand closer to him and bowed a little. “You choose”, he whispered while his breath tickled Ran’s back of the hand before he gave a tender kiss on it.
Ran didn’t know if she should get angry or cry. She really didn’t have any time for this! Actually, she should be working right now, not standing here wondering if she should dance or have dinner with her husband. Why Shinichi made this much harder than it should have been? Why Shinichi didn’t understand? Why he needed to be romantic and demand attention right now when she has so much to do?
But did she really have choices? Even though she wanted to get angry and lock herself on to study, she knew that rest of the evening she would just have a bad conscience because she would have hurt Shinichi who just tried to give her attention and love. It was just a bad time for that, nothing more. And it seemed like Shinichi has decided to be stubborn with this, so he wouldn’t give up if she tries to say "no" in a gentle way…
Hah, and Shinichi dared to say that Ran was stubborn.
“Fine”, she sighed eventually. “One dance, two minutes. Then I need to go to work.”
“Fine”, Shinichi answered while he straightened and then he gently pulled her against him. Ran smiled shortly when she felt a hand on her lower back, which would just make sure that she wouldn’t try to run away. She raised her other hand to his shoulder. Shinichi started to move slowly. Only then Ran realised that there wasn’t any music. She moved a little to meet Shinichi’s face.
“You’re not going to put some music?”
He met her gaze. “No.”
“Why not?”
The man smiled shortly and looked away. “With you, two minutes is a short time. I can’t waste any of it just for music.”
For a moment Ran stared at his profile before smiled shortly and looked away. With a slow rhythm, she let her cheek lean against Shinichi’s shoulder and closed her eyes. She let peaceful swinging and silence to took over her every sense. All that sound and hurry somehow melted away, feeling like something that happened a long time ago. Like a memory. With those warm arms around her and familiar scents filling her world, she almost started to believe that everything had been only her imagination. Leaning against the man who was peaceful himself, she started to wonder if she really was so busy as she told herself.
Now that she thought of it when was the last time that she had time to curl up against Shinichi? Yes, they had changed kisses before and after work, send some messages to each other, and slept on the same bed every night. But truth to be told, it felt like forever when she last time has time to stop and enjoy Shinichi’s presence. She didn’t remember when she gave herself enough time to enjoy Shinichi’s love and affection that he probably has tried to give her. When was the last time they had hugged, giving proper kisses instead of fast pecks? When was the last time they had sat down and talked, telling each other’s days or what was on their mind? When? Ran didn’t remember. She has been so busy, only thinking about her work. That wasn’t a good reason at all, but… Hopefully, Shinichi knew and understood. Of course, even though Ran has been so busy with her work and hadn’t given her husband much attention, he knew that she still loves him, right? Of course, Shinichi would know…
Or did he? Ran felt anxious hitting her hard. God, when was the last time she told him that she loves him? She didn’t remember. She opened her eyes and looked at her husband’s jaw and cheek. Now would be a good time to remind him. She opened her mouth.
”You know, I have the loveliest wife in the world.”
Ran shut her mouth and frowned. Where did he get that thought so suddenly? And if Ran could be honest, right now she didn’t feel like she deserved that. But with Shinichi? About that subject, it was pointless to argue. And truth to be told…
Truth be told, Ran would only lie to herself if she would say that she didn’t love to hear it. Every time Shinichi told her that she was the most beautiful and loveliest wife, it made her blush like a little girl while her heart started to race on her chest. And every time it made her happy to hear that. Because she knew that Shinichi didn’t say things like that for a fun.
“Oh, really?” she answered with a smile on her lips. She closed her eyes again. “What makes her so great and lovely?”
“Everything”, Shinichi answered while they were still swinging slowly. “She is wise, emotional, strong in many ways, fair… and very, very selfless.” He kept a little break. “So selfless that she usually forgets that sometimes she should be also selfish.” Ran felt how the grip on her lower back tightened. “She always thinks about others. She does everything for others, take care that those who she cares deeply is fine, that nothing bothers them, but she always forgets herself.” He smiled shortly. “And she is so patient. I don’t even know what I have done to deserve a woman like her. Every time I have much work to do, it feels like I forgot everything around me. There are only cases after cases, and I just go with them. Sometimes I feel like I just come home from the crime scene, locked up in the study, and then I left either back to the crime scene or police station. I eat if I have time, sleep if I remember, and give a kiss to my wife if I happened to meet her on the way. She is so great, and I dare to treat her like that.”
Ran smiled. Yeah, sounds familiar. Sometimes he just happened to have some thought cases and other times there just happen to be so many that she rarely sees Shinichi even though he would come home. How often Ran had brought some food and coffee to the study and late in the evening went to get him on the bed.
“And yet”, he continued, “and yet my wife supports me, take care that I eat, take a shower, change my clothes and get some sleep. And usually, that stubborn woman comes and tells me that I have to take a break from my work.”
Ran laughed. “Oh, what a terrible woman”, she commented.
“You tell me”, Shinichi answered. “There is so much to do, and such a hurry that culprit doesn’t get away or the key of the case wouldn't disappear, there is not enough time, and then my wife comes and demands that I take a break.” He gave a laugh. “And every time I resist, tell her that there is no time, and every time that beautiful wife of mine fight back until she got what she wants.”
Oh yeah, Ran remembered those arguments and shouts when she had tried to get him out of the study, take a break even for a moment that… that…
Ran opened her eyes… Wait…
“And every time I realise that the break is something I really need”, he continued. “Every time I realise that I relax when I get my thoughts away from the cases. My wife has made some delicious food for us, I spend some time with her… And eventually, I realise that there is no hurry anymore. And when I get back to work, I see things differently, and before I know it, the answer is there, right before me.”
Ran let out a gasp and wasn’t sure if she should cry or laugh.
“So, I think it’s awesome that I have a wife who manages to fight with me that I have a break from my work”, Shinichi continued and stopped. Ran smiled shortly like a loser before she seceded a little that she could meet Shinichi’s face. He looked at her already. Ran smiled sadly.
“You have a wise wife”, she said and took a deep breath. “I wonder if she is able to keep those breaks herself.” Well, she knew the answer already.
Shinichi smiled and let go of her hand only to raise it on her cheek. Ran leaned to touch. “Mmm, I told you, my wife has a bad habit to think others, but forget herself”, he answered. “But… I hope that maybe I could also be stubborn enough to get my wife to keep some break.”
Ran laughed. “Well, you have learned from the best”, she said and raised her free hand to touch his. She closed her eyes enjoying this moment. “Thank you, Shinichi.”
She didn’t get an answer, but she felt movement and soon she felt his lips against her. She answered on that gently and lovely kiss, trying to forward all her feelings to him, trying to let him know that she still cared, she still loved…
He broke up slowly from the kiss, and reality started to come back to Ran. No, not yet…
"Two minutes have gone, Mrs. Kudo”, he said quietly. Ran opened her eyes only to see those soft blue eyes which she could stare at all day without getting tired of them. “You are free to go back to your work. And remember to take some food with you. And take enough that you got your belly full, and you manage to work before I come to get you to sleep.”
Ran couldn’t be smiling. “But don’t you always say that you think better with an empty stomach?”
“Mmm”, Shinichi mumbled like he was thinking. “You know, I have seen you when you are hungry, and if I can be honest, it’s something I don’t want to witness if I don’t have to.”
Ran rolled her eyes but laughed. Then she looked at the table which still waited that someone would sit down and start to eat.
Suddenly Ran felt like she doesn’t have to hurry. Her work would wait while she would have dinner with Shinichi. It wouldn’t take too much time. And she believed they both deserved it. She would have enough time to do some work after dinner, and who knows, maybe after delicious food and some rest, those works wouldn’t take so much time to get done.
”You know”, she started and turned towards him. She let her hand from the shoulder slide for his lower back. “I know we agreed that it would be either one dance or dinner, but… do you think that your lovely wife would still get the dinner on the same deal?”
