I wish more people would weigh out the demand of how "realistic" something is regarding horror media thats supposed to be around a certain time era or within certain limitations with the fact that if it WERE 100% accurate to what it's trying to represent, it'd probably be lame as hell.
#I've seen this complaint a lot with N64 replicated horror lately since that's been a popular... genre I guess?#'the console isn't capable of that/the devs wouldn't do that realistically because it would run bad'#Yes but consider: the game you are currently playing would lose so much value as a HORROR game if it took all of that away#Like I'm gonna keep it a stack with you. If you are playing a horror game of any kind you're already breaking the laws of reality#have some fun with it instead of nitpicking the fact that it isn't console accurate because duh#I do not think any developer goes into a console replica game with the intent to make it accurate.#They go in with the intent to make it an experience and should be judged on that merit#And sometimes I feel they do it good (Shipwrecked) or bad (Crow64 I hate your game so much)#TLDR: devs don't typically make replica horror games with the intent to be accurate they do it with the intent to be a horror game#edit: if there's a suspension of disbelief with fnaf all the time with walking non possessed sentient animatronics#I don't know why it becomes an issue when the N64 starts playing videos

It Sucks For Both Of Us!#when i say there are small businesses in the artist alley i mean some of us are Small#i don't speak just for myself but for other artists who have this trouble as well. some folks are just starting out and some folks#just do this for a hobby and can't afford or can't justify the bigger terminals yet or at all#if i get into ACEN again next year i'll opt for a terminal but they're Pricey and not something to start out with y'know#if you want to be an artist's best friend though? pay in cash.#not to mention if there's technical or wifi trouble - cash just works 100% of the time. no reader or wifi will stop you from using cash.#semi related but i had someone try to pay with apple pay at my last show and i said they'd have to enter their number manually then#and they said they'd go find their partner and see if they had card/cash. and then while they were walking away from their booth#their friend asked why and they said it wasn't safe. on one hand i can't be mad because its VERY good to practice card safety!#on the other hand. you're entering it into the same app that would process a swipe payment. it's exactly as safe as if you'd swiped it#i promise as long as you're entering the number into a square app your card info is safe lmao#anyway yeah a lot of us aren't Big Businesses. please just be courteous and bring some traditional payment methods Just In Case

have now been trying to speedrun mastering driving and its not working because on the off chance that i DO want to go somewhere (rare) then it's never worth Actually Driving to get there.
I've been wanting to go to the mall for 2 days bc i wanna look around, and its like you'd BE DRIVING just to go somewhere and walk around for a bit and maybe spend money? And then have to drive back? For that? For walking around and spending money? I'm good, I'll just stay home. The desire to go out immediately killed by the reality of having to drive there

nah but it's so wild because like. It's almost a normal 'sibling growing up' story, where you understand why the younger ones feel betrayed and abandoned, but it hurts to see their anger or closing off directed at the older sibling who literally just went through a normal developmental stage. But then they both grow a little and it all smooths out even better than it was until a few years down the road you got the second half, where the older sibling feels betrayed by the person they've always seen as a kid becoming their peer and standing more on their own. And it's all understandable and it all hurts and it all smooths over.
Except with tmnt 2007 they're all adults together and Splinter really said 'It's time for Leo to go on a journey of self-discovery, he needs opportunities for further growth and he shouldn't be relying on us anymore. The rest of you should go outside less but I guess you can have jobs if you want.'
like bro they would've been on that journey together, the 'growing up without me' angst was literally unnecessary because they were all growing up. At the same time. Together.

nearly fucking lost my mind when i saw that i had a d- in english. but she told me my essay was great and that she just didn't grade it
#I was genuinely about to throw up what the fuckkkkkk#its crazy cuz she pulls me aside and is like “ur taking ap lit next year right?”#and i was weirded out by it but i was like “is signed up for it but i'm probably doing pseo”#and then she deadass goes “thats the path for you” and walks away nodding like WHY WOULD YOU MAKE ME SO SCARED THEN#but tbf its not her fault I kind of did turn it it late#but goddddd i was physically ill for a minute there it was terrible#nadia studies
