Weretober 2023 - Part 2: Lives of the Werebeasts of Urvara
And now, to cap off Weretober 2023, the final batch exploring the lives of Werefolk in my setting of Beast Fables. From assassins to soldiers to ronin to nasty diseases, there are many sides to being a werebeast in Urvara!
A famous Were-Tarantula Hawk assassin readies for combat against a berserker were-shrew.
A were-sea lion stumbles upon a rare find: a black pearl! Surely this will give her clan honor! Unbenkowest to her however, she is being watched by a couple of merfolk. The Mer-tiger shark wants to "deal" with her, to keep their society a secret, but the Mer-octopus urges caution instead.
For most people, a person's animal form is either from one parent or the other. In much rare cases however, one could get an animal form that's a hybrid of their parents's beast form! Walter Raja Surrey here is a Liger, and has all of the hybrid's advantages, without the myriad of health problems associated with them!
A member of the last group of Were-Diprotodons shows an archeology student and an art history student an example of a hunting boomerang, otherwise known as a karli. Alongside being both a great example of art and a useful tool, it's big enough to double as a club.
A werefox succumbs to that most feared of diseases among were-mammal kind, rabies. Certain were-folk, like werebirds can fight off the disease, while others like were-crocodilians seem to be immune to almost anything.
A were-rhinoceros beetle gets treated for cordyceps. While not the lethal, muscle and nervous system hijacker of their wild counterparts, it still hurts, and requires immediate attention, lest it begins to interfere with the magics governing transformation as well as tissue damage.
A traveling group of were-elephantines, including a mammoth. While giants to a regular person, they themselves are dwarfed by the creator of the roads they travel upon, called the Titan Roads. These roads were built by Were-sauropods.
A turbulent priest preaches the cause for justice, and the betterment of society as a whole. A priest of the Ten Faced God, he dons the silver and black to denote his devotion to the face of Justice.
A were-raccoon dog ronin thought his speed and agility would win the day against the lumbering were-eremotherium, who himself is in service of a large empire known as Tartessos (basically Not!Spain). The risk the ronin took was calculated, but BOY was he BAD at math!
And finally, the classic Werewolf. A Durroyan werewolf charges with a bayonet, steely determination in his eyes and faith that discipline will win the battle through. A Gevaudanois werewolf counter charges with tooth, claw and sabre in hand, confident that courage and ferocity will win the day.

Tell us about your other Alenoaheather AU(s). I know you have them. 🔫
- Totally not Ophe
Hello completely random anon whose identity will forever be a mystery!
See, with the way you've phrased this, you've actually opened yourself up to a few options. I'll tell you a little bit about each one and you can tell me which one you want to learn more about first.
Currently unnamed G/T Alenoaheather
Definitely the most detailed AU of the bunch. It's got backstories and character arcs for each of the three. Probably the best way to describe it is Urban fantasy since none of them are (completely) human, but they pretty much live in a modern setting.
It does get dark at times. Think Beastars-adjacent in terms of vibes. Including the murder bits. But it's mostly self-defense or being forced into it, so take that as you will. I will say that it's nowhere near the levels of toxic relationships that something like the Sea Monster AU has. And they do actually improve as people. These three still get drama mind you, but it's from keeping secrets rather than being genuinely manipulative. ...Well. Too manipulative. It does have Alejandro and Heather in it. But it's got fluff moments because fluffy giant/tiny dynamics are precious and must be preserved at all costs.
It's got Alejandro who's a giant-shifter able to grow even larger than most other giant-shifters thank to his Burromuerto heritage. The Burromuertos are a completely upstanding giant-shifter family and definitely don't have any incredibly fucked up family traditions they expect Alejandro to continue.
Noah's a were-mongoose. Werefolk come in a large variety, though mongoose is on the far more uncommon side. Unlike most werefolk, this kid genius actually figured out a way to not completely give into his instincts during full moons. This has absolutely no negative repercussions on his wellbeing.
Heather who's a giant-shifter hybrid unable to grow thanks to her human heritage from her father's side. She's the only one of her siblings unable to grow. She definitely doesn't have a complex about this. But she has managed to find her own way of making herself just as much of a physical threat as her two boyfriends. (Aka the day I take away from Heather's inherent badassery is the day I die.)
Serial Killer AU
It's exactly what it sounds like. With exactly the vibes the name implies. Definitely the darker one. They're just a thriving villain throuple with a body count. It's also mostly Noah-focused so far as I haven't figured out Alejandro or Heather's motivations.
Noah stumbles across a body of a serial killer spree, only to be the first to realize that one serial killer is actually two. Curiosity leads him to investigate...but not for the reasons you'd think.
(For this one that's pretty much all I can share before just going into the whole AU)
And then, on the completed side since might as well dump all the Alenoaheather AUs:
Noah and the Beanstalk
Another giant/tiny AU! This one's actually got its own post already. I don't really have anything else that I didn't already mention in that post. But it's my blog, so I'll advertise my own AUs as I please!
Collab AUs
The Royal Court AU
Originally named The Lords In Black AU because it was originally inspired by me watching an animatic of The Summoning from Nerdy Prudes Must Die. Then it evolved into something far beyond that where the name doesn't seem quite right anymore.
It's got Alenoaheather as the worst teens at school and unashamed about it. ...Until Alejandro goes missing, and nobody else really seems to care. Leaving Heather and Noah to investigate and try their best not to be next.
They fail, but hey, at least they get cool eldritch powers out of it!
This AUs also dark because the premise is them being kidnapped to be used as sacrifices. And it's got plenty of eldritch horror in it. The posts for it are scattered because they ended up going into two separate reblog chains with @total-drama-brainrot and @ur-local-brown-multifandomist. If you look up 'lords in black au' on my blog you should be able to find most of it. I'm going to just centralize it for ease of organization one day. It'll just be. You know. Effort.
Also, @ur-local-brown-multifandomist is currently making a fic for it! It's their first one, so feel free to check it out.
Fake Dating Alenoaheather AU
This one's a collab AU between me and @total-drama-brainrot, a person you have never met because you are a completely anonymous anon. Noah gets caught in between Heather and Alejandro's attempts to make the other jealous by each making him pretend to be their boyfriend. Shenanigans and drama ensue. The posts for this are also scattered and tagged on both our blogs, and one day we might make a fic about it. For now, there actually is someone already making a fic about it that you can feel free to read!
I still can't believe two different people decided to start making fic of AUs I helped create. It's wild, and I'm incredibly touched.
"Why are all of these AUs except for one dark in at least some way?"
I honestly couldn't tell you exactly why my brain works the way it does. It just decided that the two canon villains and one-villain coded teenager deserve to be at least a little feral. As a treat.
Maybe one day I'll have an AU with them that's not so dark. That day will be a surprise to us all.
But yeah, that's all of the Alenoaheather AUs I got! The first two I'm more than happy to go into more detail for if you ask!

Week 1 of OC-Tober
If you're curious about any of my characters or their settings, feel free to ask!
OC-tober Day o1, Getty Through Oct, I will be featuring my OCs. This is Getty from a current Cyberpunk ttrpg. As a college student, she dabbles in work as a Fixer on the side for fun money. However, a recent mission gave her a nose for journalism, so she may be changing majors!
OC-Tober Day o2: Bastia Bastia Agrippina came from a once prestigious family of healers who worked in service to Ilmater. Since the Great War, the family suffered loss after loss until their lauded mountain monastery dwindled to a shabby abby. That's when Bastia set out to restore her family.
OC-Tober Day 03: Prisha Once an island nation revered the tigers in their jungle as motherly protector spirits. Those blessed with the blood of the tiger were the holy spokespeople of the forest. However, after the nation was colonized, most of those werefolk were wiped out. Still, Tiger waited.
OC-Tober Day o4, Millie Millie was a character from a hybrid Warhammer Fantasy/D&D game. Millie the Milkmaid started life as a simple farmgirl, but was hired to be a playmate for the local nobility's daughter. She learned to read and write and perhaps assert herself above her station.
OC-Tober Day 05, Monki Monki is the titular character for my webcomic Ninja Monkey. He's a single-minded, dark humored member of a quickly dwindling clan. In the comic he is tasked to escort another monkey to the safety of the Dragon clan. Many obstacles stand in their way.
OC-Tober Day o6, Orange Orange Tang is from my comic Ninja Monkey. She starts the story performing in the circus as a silk dancer. Though she has been happy with her circus family, her past is a mystery. One day, disaster strikes and the Ox clan scatters her family as she is whisked away.
OC-Tober Day 07, Wang Here's my precious little boy Wang from the Ninja Monkey comic. He may not be smart, but he can lift heavy things. He also has a weakness for dumplings of all kinds. Wang is the shortest of the group but makes up for it with his big heart.

my fic "The Parts We Play" includes the following:
a month's worth of careful planning and a delicately constructed overarching plot
a bad guy with a carefully integrated weakness
Jim, Krel, and Douxie being roommates with both explicit and implicit brothers/best friends energy
Krel performing in a musical
Sirens, sorcerers, banshees, elves, and werefolk
Development of the Akiridion court/nobility system
the implication that Phantom of the Opera is based on real historical events in ToA and, furthermore, that Douxie was Raoul
The vibes of two irl lifelong best friends writing a pair of paranormal adoptive sisters (one sister is a sorceress/siren hybrid and the other is Akiridion)
genuinely some of the prettiest writing I've ever done
also some of the dumbest
chapters release every tuesday

Aapeli farms wolfs-bane in a remote area; away from all known Pack families; for research and protection. Though Wolfs-bane is poison to most Were-species, it’s also very toxic to humans. Keeping a large amount under his name and protection is great for his remedies and his own immunity building.
He has live samples, and has to wear a species hazard suit when tending to the plants, not only because of his Were-genes, but because it helps keep the suspicion off of him by curious humans.
Aapeli has four green houses filled with Wolfs-bane, each Greenhouse has just under 14 strains of new growth, new species of Wolfsbane and some hybrids. Aapeli uses himself, as a test subject for many of his plantation research; but sometimes he’ll ask and pay for others Werefolk’s to allow him to watch the initial reaction to their systems. Of course, he can save a poisoned Were-folk easily with his time with the species and he always makes antidotes to each Strain of Wolfs-bane in his possession.
Aapeli is part of a Finnish, Nomadic Descent Pride; Hilja. They are known to be a ‘Wonder Pack’, mostly notable by their sheer sizes in Wolf forms. Largest of Wolf Species recorded by man, pure blooded and secluded from strangers and other packs in the country. They however, have been monitored to be a constantly moving pack family. Taking in lone wolves and training them in their arts, if they are truth worthy enough. The Hilja are heavily resistant to Wolfs-bane poison and near immune to silver in any solid form.
Though Abel left the pack after a dispute with his Father, the Pack’s current Alpha, he keeps only a few things of tradition in his daily life:
Becoming a Doctor to help those of Kin in need.
Consuming Wolfsbane in mixtures of beverages to keep the resistance renewing.
Studying of Wolfsbane and the Silver Disease.
Placing Wolfsbane just under the surface of a Werewolf’s grave.
Having three homes, in case of emergencies.
Remain in contact with close friends ( Now more replaced with his new friends, Andrew, Misha when he has the brain to be with them ), of the past to keep sane upon being lonesome or shifting between bloodlust and sanity.
Have a family to call his own one day.
To watch over Packs in his current residence; and hold no sides when it comes to treatment of who and what.

“They weren’t wolves.” Miwa growled to herself, seated at her family home’s dinner table while Lily prepared said dinner. There was no telling where Ginrai or Hachi were right now, -- likely hunting, but they had heard what went down likely enough and said sun-chasing pup was, well, beyond grounded. “They were humans playing at being superior.” Lily remained silent, letting her daughter tell herself these things that they both knew weren’t true.
They were indeed werefolk -- but they just happened to be from a different world all together.
“-- Miwa. Come help me make tonight’s meal.” It was a firm command and while Miwa wanted to fight it, she slid to her feet and went to help her mother out as instructed.
Outside, Pan sat atop the home their home, listening in, vines twirling in and about his hand. His mind was on first, the boy, Asher, intrigued by his hybrid blood and how otherworldly it was, and second, something in him -- perhaps past lives he could say -- that wanted to do battle with the one who dared call himself by one of the Gods of Death’s names, Anubis.
Either way, Pan couldn’t exactly leave his forest vulnerable right now with the new arrivals and setting them home, but he would by all means find some means or way to fulfill both those goals.
“... Things are going to get very interesting, very, very soon.”

The werefolk howled at the many Moons & grew rabid when the cosmos Said to. & some also buzzed & Some barked or burped or ribbited. & the possibles of the creatures There were as endless as the waves.
This home for the unadjusted— Aliens, mutants, hybrids, & Criminals, outcats & werefolk— Was racketed; A smash for thorns. Grovels & shacks & warehouses Toppling over. Corners with sculptures Who, interactive, snatched at the Passerby’s loose cloths & barked names They could not have known. A place one Went for potions, hexes, the cursed. It also had a big sports scene. A brutal arena where they Made the insects go at each other, Ignorant to the insects’ smarts. Like many, they just see dumb logs Lumbering with exoskeletons.

Prompts Based Off My Stories #43
A: "Sorry, me and my friends have been a lot of places and encountered a lot of races, but we just can't seem to figure out what your race is. Would you mind telling me?"
B: *quietly* "You can't figure it out because you don't realize dragons are people like the werefolk."
A: "Huh?"
B: "You can't figure it out because I'm half-orc and half-dragon-blessed-human. I'm not many generations back from the gift. One of my parents received it from one of the last dragons."
Actually, my parent is one of the last full dragons, B thinks as the stranger oohs over the wings. Dragon-blessed is just code for dragon in humiform. I have no human in me at all.

So who wants to hear about my extremely weird Hermitcraft AU? Anyone? Too bad, I'm talking about it anyway and y'all can't stop me.
So, you know the fantasy trope of "an ancient super-advanced civilisation that disappeared off the face of the planet/went extinct due to hubris/got wiped out by a plague/etc"? Yeah. That.
...Let me explain.
In this case, the ancient civilisation was, in fact, Players. Players came in a variety of shapes, sizes, species, etc. Humans, Mob Hybrids, Werefolk, Cyborgs, Shapeshifters, assorted Halloween monsters, full-on robots, aliens, technically-not-aliens-but-basically-aliens... the list goes on. Now, what made someone a Player was never particularly well-defined due to sheer variety, but there were a few common threads. Players could break, pick up and place blocks, they could use chests, crafting tables and their own inventories, they could respawn in non-hardcore worlds, and they had a certain level of intelligence (about on par with, say, a human).
So, anyway. One of the most common threads were that Players- all Players- had access to magic. Typically this manifested in the form of inventories, crafting, being able to break/place solid 1m³ blocks, and, of course, enchanting, with Admin and Operator powers manifesting in various worlds for specific people. There were other forms of magic, of course, but learning those typically required (at minimum) a lot of study and/or a level of attunement to that particular branch of magic.
Players lived in communities, on worlds- in this AU, all the worlds were connected, but separated by the world borders. The various Hermitcraft worlds were some of these, as were 3rd Life and Legacy SMP and Hypixel and so on.
So, that's the worldbuilding preamble out of the way.
The worlds updated every now and then, and they added, tweaked and (occasionally) removed various mobs, blocks and mechanics. But this update, the Final Update... nobody's quite sure why, but it removed magic.
Not completely, of course. It set in slowly. Villagers no longer transformed when they were slain by zombies. The monsters of the night became less and less common. Portals became unreliable, until they eventually stopped working entirely. World borders started to fail (and I feel sorry for those unlucky enough to neighbour servers like 2b2t). Enchanting became more temperamental. Still, Players were adaptable. They could manage.
Until they couldn't. See, while Players had magic running through their systems, and had since the universe had existed, all of a sudden their children...didn't. The big problem was that most species- Hybrids, Werefolk, Spaeshifters, Aliens and not-exactly-aliens... their biology meant their children physically couldn't survive without magic. The one exception? Humans.
Already in the majority, humans were the only race who could still produce living children. But these children weren't Players. They had no inventories, no ability to use a crafting table or break a block with their bare fists like their forebears. They managed though, adapting and creating new ways to craft and smelt. And as time went on... they became the only ones left.
See, while Players were all long-lived, and capable of respawn, they did eventually experience the Final Death, from which there was no coming back (ignoring the occasional ghost, resurrection, or any necromancy-related shenanigans that were frankly extremely rare to begin with). And as time wore on, Players slowly died out, until all that were left were those who were Undying, and the Humans who weren't Players (it's worth mentioning that Immortals and Undying were two different peoples. Immortality was granted by the gods; when the gods faded, their gifts faded with them. Undying, on the other hand, were those who had experienced their Final Death but kept going. Undead beings, if you will). Undying could be killed, if their body was so badly maimed their soul had no choice to fly free, but not so badly they would just respawn; as Human societies developed, many Undead succumbed to this fate, either by choice or by force, acts done by fearful Humans.
Let's go forward, now.
It's been over two thousand years since the Players died out, and longer since the Final Update. There is only one world now, the world borders long forgotten. The Players are myths, legends; a mysterious race, now long gone, their builds crumbling to ruin. Nobody has encountered a zombie or creeper for millennia; the only spiders left are small and harmless, a far cry from the creatures once large enough for a skeleton to ride.
Archeologist study the ruins Players left behind. One city, Hermiton, was originally a camping ground for people to study the various ruins in the area; the crumbling remains of a vast monument, the stump of a tree larger than should ever have been possible, a gaping hole some claim leads to the centre of the Earth.
Near Hermiton lies a vast forest, beside the footprint of what had once been an immense mansion. The forest is a mixture of different species, most likely transplanted thousands of years ago. In that forest lives... something. A ghost? A spirit? a cryptid?
Whatever it is, it's not human. The locals claim she looks like a woman, with glowing eyes and long red hair. They call her the Green Lady, for the colour of her skin. They say her teeth are sharp, and that dark claws tip her fingers. They say her cheeks are hollow, her eyes are sunken- but that her gaze holds a fire no Human could hope to match. They say she lives in the forest, and that she is its guardian. They say that anyone who tries to chop down the trees, to clear the land, will face her wrath.
Outsiders will write this off as a modern-day folk tale, an urban myth. But believe it or not, there is something- someone- who dwells in the woods. Someone who brings those lost home. Someone who intercedes if there's danger. Someone who will run through the forest with a familiarity only born from centuries, millennia, of practice.
They don't know who she is. She's a guardian spirit. She's a ghost. Se's been there since the Ancients walked the land. They're not wrong about that last one. Once, she altered a sign planted by the one responsible for the enormous tree. Once, she had her arm sewn back on by the person who'd built the immense mansion. Once, she threatened the man who dug the vast hole, the one they say leads to the centre of the Earth.
She's a Player, the last one left. She's a zombie, the only one to still walk the Earth. She's alone. Once, she had a family, a home. She dwells near the ruins of that home, even now. Her kind, her kin; they're long gone. She's the only one to remain.
She waits for the day her family will return. It's written in the stars, in the fabric of the Universe. They will return. And she will be there, ready to greet them with open arms. For the Univers is kind. The Universe loves its Players.
Alone in the forest, ZombieCleo, Master of Puppets, the Undead and Undying, the Last Player, waits. She'll be there, when her family, her hermits, return.
Even if it takes another two thousand years.
#At some point this turned from a quick explanation to a full fic#jeez#I did go off#I dunno if I'll write any *actual* fics about this au#I'd like to though#It'd be about the return of the hermits#and there'd be some sort of calamity they'd ave to fight off or something#I don't know#It could also be a fun slice-of-life thing?#the hermits show up and just kinda have to...adjust to the New World#the human-looking ones learn the new language#(because languages change after two thousand years)#and try to assimilate#but it doesn't go very well#and some evil government folk try to capture them for study#but Players are just so hilariously OP it fails miserably#So they just kinda leave them be eventually#so there's like a <20-Player community living in the woods#and most of Hermiton knows about it but don't really talk about it#and these are the *hermits*#so obviously they don't stay there for long#They do their best to make the world a better place#and also build ridiculous megabuilds just because they can#maybe it'll connect to (my interpretation of) the Scattered AU#mostly because seadragonpulse lives rent-free in my brain#if anyone has any questions/ideas/additions etc feel free to contribute#I have a very in-depth world and Literally No Plot#hermitcraft AU#last player AU#Rayvee actually Writes

Litheliun Main Characters
Ziren Starliez - Legally known as Zirec Nascal and publicly known as Tsuor Phoslane. He is a rare Lithe formed of two gemstones, the secondary Zircon and the deity birthstone Turquoise. His mother was a Spiritual Lumina while his father was a Human Terram. He was given to the late May Deity Meric Ozciti but was named by Pheal Nascal. His official name was given to him by Diamante Herois upon his 10th Age when he was moved to Ashueall. It was plain and boring and the people were stuff, so Ziren got sick of the place quickly. He tends to run away from his problems, so he escaped to Earaat under the guise of a travelling apothecary/mercenary. He met Riden early on and was stuck with him for the remainder of his life. Litheliun starts when the two are forced apart. He’s in his 20th age. He doesn’t really know Riden’s age but he registered him as an age younger based on appearance. Like most Terram hybrids, his taste buds process virtually everything as disgusting except for Vanilla Cake. Ziren is also the Wind Catalyst.
Riden Olivyon - He was given the name Riden by Topese Zolum who found him shortly after he was reborn from the infamous Peridot Music Box. He was given his surname by Ziren when they met after his amnesia set in. Riden himself is a sort of reincarnation of the fallen warlord and August Deity Reidoux Youthly of the Millennia War and brought about the Era of Silence when her soul was locked in the Music Box. Riden, to a degree, is Reidoux. He lost his voice after being hit with a permanent silencing charm while running from the authorities. He lost his memories when Ziren dumped him in a desert wasteland with no way out. Funnily enough, Ziren picked him up again a year later out of guilt. Reidoux was resurrected from the music box by the radical group Leia by the sacrificed August Deity at the time who was just a child (hence why he was resurrected as a young boy). Riden is a Caliga-Terram hybrid. As such, the only food he can eat is Vanilla Icecream. Riden has an affinity to mind magic and light magic.
Reidoux Youthly - Reidoux was born to an Ingenes father and a Werefolk mother. At a young age, her hometown was set on fire and it’s assumed that both of her parents died. She was raised by her father’s brother alongside her cousin. It wasn’t until her uncle was murdered did she begin gathering followers to fight against the radical government. She was an August Deity (specifically Peridot) and a rare type of Catalyst that controlled both Mind and Sound. Unfortunately, she lost her life but did manage to succeed in her goals using her death. She was in her 29th age. Riden, with Reidoux’s memories, is the antagonist of Litheliun while Riden without her memories is simply a deuteragonist.
Daniel - There’s not really much to say about him except that he was born to an Elvessia father and Morphin mother. He was the August Deity but his specific birthstone was Sardonyx. His family was sort of murdered before him and he was kidnapped by the organization that sacrificed. He was in his 5th age. He had a very controlled affinity with Light magic.
Pheal Nascal - They appear to be of an ambiguous age, but he is in his 29th age. They are the third eldest of the Deities, a few ages older than Marianne Sessa. Pheal is an Agqua originating from somewhere near the Spirit Continents but his general background is shrouded in mystery. He’s the June Deity (specifically Pearl). Unlike most Lithes, they were born and raised in Gaiya. Shortly after reaching their 10th age, they travelled to Earaat and was brought under the wing of the May Deity of the time, Meric. They spent the rest of their teenage years in a healthy rivalry with Topese (aka TJ) and the later teenage years cooing over the toddler Zirec. When Meric passed away, Pheal became Zirec’s guardian. Pheal themself is a scientist that dabbles in many branches and a linguistic hobbyist. They gave Ziren their old lab coat and spurred on his collection of coats. They’re a jack of all trades, master of none. He does, however, specialize in creating vocal commands (spells) to more precisely channel types of magic without an affinity.
Liluna Maefield - She’s from a tribe of Undana that consists greatly of Troisida-Agqua hybrids. Hybrids are typically incapable of reproduction but there are some studies that point to a chance when procreating with hybrids of the same kind so Pheal took a liking to her almost immediately. She’s the eldest child of three daughters. As a Moonstone Lithe in her 12th age, she’s already considered an elder among her tribe and has a vast influence over them. Her siblings hold some contempt towards her so she left to travel the world. She has a sort of hero complex paired with her “destiny arrow”, so she finds herself in dangerous situations rather often. Her “destiny arrow” is how she finds herself following Ziren. She’s in her 14th age by then Like most Undana, she has an affinity for water magic but she also can tap into nature magic fairly well. As such, she’s an exceptional healer.
Chiron Hallows - She’s a black cat-type Werefolk. She outlived her parents and ended up living with her father’s younger brother and his family. Her best friend is her nephew, Charon, who looks outstandingly similar to her. Her mother’s family consists of a variety of red gemstone Lithes and her father’s of green gemstone Lithes. Unfortunately, none of her immediate relatives were Lithes, so she outlived her parents and eventually her nephew as well. Of all of the characters, she’s had the most stable life. It’s while she and Charon are guarding the East Gate that Ziren and Liluna come around. She’s in her 15th age. Chiron has an affinity for Wind magic (so she’s compatible with Ziren’s fighting style) as well as Earth magic, but her strong points lie with actual physical combat.
Jaden Young - Once known as Nephris Youthly, like 89% of the people of the time, he was a Lithe (specifically Nephrite). He had been away from his home village to discuss a potential long-term job that involved researching a cavern where water flows out like a flood with every full moon. When he went home, he found the entire village burnt to the ground. His wife, daughter, brother, and nephew were nowhere to be found. He threw himself into the research of the cavern and lost track of when the full moon occurs. He was in his 30th year. Before he knew it, the cavern turned into a crumbling room. He spent the next few months wandering the labyrinth that was connected to the room, rationing out what he had on him (which was quite a bit actually) until he was chased down by Ziren and Pheal; he managed to find an exit while running away. He spent the months after that roaming around confused and under an alias before realizing the cavern had time-warping properties that threw him millennias into the future. He felt a hint of his daughter’s magic around Ziren when they met again and decided to follow him, assuming that his daughter survived and Ziren was her descendant. Jaden is a subtype of the subrace Ingenes native to Earaat that dissolved centuries ago when the Ingenes left back to Yluores. He’s not particularly affinity gifted but he specializes in imbuing magic into objects. His favourite is a weapon deliez with fire commands.
Emeira Dallan - She’s a very rare type of hybrid: her mother was a Meriam and her father a Dremlin. Caliga-Undana hybrids are very rare. Unlike the other deities, she grew up in with a maternal and paternal figure for her entire life (although not blood related). She was named by the late September Deity who raised her alongside his partner, the late July Deity. Upon her 10th age, both had already passed away and she was passed over to Marianne and Pheal for mentorship. Both spoiled her due to the loneliness of recently losing the guardianship of Zirec. Even so, she grew up to be well-grounded, albeit temperamental. She did not, however, want to be tied down to the responsibilities of being the Queen of Oshiean, so she leaves that to Marianne while working on whatever she is required to do as the May Deity. She is in her 18th age when she is summoned by Pheal to assist in a mission regarding a resurrection of the August Deity banished at the end of the Millennium War. She has a very high affinity, very similar to a Catalyst, to Nature magic.

Ok but about that comic i mentioned
ya basically
i’ve been thinking about it for a long time so the main thing will be, boom there’s a dragon, strong dragon, everyone’s scared from the dragon
but again, there’s a lot of different races and countries, different kings, different laws so I’m thinking, i guess a couple of kingdoms, mainly kingdoms are by elves, humans or so, but then orcs, ogres, centaurs and others have tribes, so it’s like a nice small community spread across the world, which also, because of territory, climate and everything, will have a different appearance. then for example some other races will serve greater nations or will basically travel the world for a long time until settling alone in some place i have already though of 2-3 stories by myself one, about a kingdom of elves where the princess, wanting to break the peace between them and the satyrs goes and flirts with him and later accuses him of rape when she birthes a child. Later dies and because the public already knew of the child they end up keeping it alive, but hiding the fact it was a half satyr, at a later age the child stumbles upon another satyr and runs away and eventually finding a tribe that it might belong too and finally getting proper care, both emotionally and physically. another one would be a short thing about the relationship between an orc and and a quirky elf, yknow two dudes chilling in a cabin in the woods, elf boy is very irritating and the orc boy is really sweet, probably makes cookies and ?? actual mood when there’s terrified humans with weapons around the cabin. and another I guess would be about an orphan kid, i’m thinking maybe a satyr or maybe some sort of hybrid that gets adopted by a gang of werefolk and travels around the world cause musician werefolk should be a thing please.
I’m currently designing a lot of characters obviously and I’ll post digital versions as soon as I can, I also kind of plan on maybe kickstarting the comic for a little bit because I need some materials but idk, i’ll just see what I can do
i’m having a lot of ideas obviously and i’m also planning on inserting @mutantgurls story about the prince and the orc girl in too

Earaat, the Neutral Domain Race: Terram Traits: None Life Span: 80 Subraces: • Ingenes (giants) • Humans (humans) • Elvessia (miniature)
Oshiean, the Aquatic Domain Race: Undana Traits: Pointed Ears, Colored Skin, Gills Life Span: 800 Subraces: • Meriams (siren-like, bottom-half aquatic animal) • Troisida (humanoid, mostly aquatic animal anatomy) • Agqua (smooth, shimmery skin)
The reason for the various lifespan is of the environment. For Undana, bodies are better preserved in water, so instead of just having overflowing bodies in Oshiean, their bodies toughened and increased their lifespan, making it easier to decompose after the functions struggling to keep the body alive breakdown. For Caliga, a toxin known as miasma mutated their bodies. The same goes for Lumina, who have a toxin called saimma in Ashueall. Terrams live in a domain where bodies are quickly decomposed and relatively safe.
Because of its toxin-free atmosphere and the plentiful rivers and lakes streaming throughout, Earaat is an ideal place for every race to take root in.
They all grow at a proportional rate, meaning one year for a Terram is ten years for an Undana and so on and so forth. Although, since Lumina and Caliga are technically estimated to 12.5 years, they’ve compromise that an Age (another post) for a Lumina should be 13 and that Caliga should be 12.
The main continent of Earaat may hold all three subraces of Terram but only the humans are native to the continent. Yluores has an overabundance of oxygen and thus, all life there increases in size; the native Terrams are the true Ingenes. It’s the opposite case for Gaiya, where Elvessia are native. In the past, Earaat had a subtype of the subraces of Ingenes and Elvessia. They were much smaller than the Yluoran and Gaiyan counterparts but around a meter difference from humans. They died out eras ago, probably during the Millennium War.
The three subraces of Lumina are actually from the different layers of Ashueall. The higher layers are where Stellar Lumina reside as they are in charge of using their feathers to harness the stars above the world to use to hold up Ashueall. The lower levels are where Spirituals reside as they are the ones imbuing the Stellar’s feathers with the magic to hold up their Domain. Fallen are Lumina that have been exposed to more Miasma than their bodies can handle but not too much to the point they die.
Despite the fact that Avemmil is very scholarly and industrialised, the history of the ancient civilisation is more or less lost. No one is quite sure how the Caliga separated into its subraces. Some say it is because demons and humans had coalesced, but that’s also said about angels and humans regarding the Lumina. The Caliga subraces are said to be as old as Lithes but probably nowhere near humans (everyone knows that all races descended from prehistoric humans). Since Caliga are all part animal, the type of animal counterpart they have varies. There are rarely any hybrid animal counterparts even though the type of animal a person is born as seems to be genetically predisposed. Even if the counterparts are completely different classes of biology (i.e. A scorpion and a cat) the child would only end up as one or the other.
Meriams are the furthest subraces from the human. Despite being appearing half-human, they do not follow standard human instincts as the other races do and are also incapable of producing most human phonemes. Troisida are covered head-to-toe in scales and fins, yet are much larger than other subraces (not including Ingenes). Like Caliga, they have varying counterpart animal/fish species. Agqua have a more human appearance because they live inland, in freshwater. They sometimes leave their rivers or lakes to migrate, thus making them the only subrace of Undana capable of breathing out the of water.
It’s a controversy whether Undana actually are descended from humans or if they descended from the same evolutionary species but branched off. It would make them the oldest race since Terrams had also created subraces, of which humans are one of and it is a well-known fact that Ingenes and Elvessia are two of the more recent subraces.
