Batfamily Chronological Reading List

Here it is, a massive list of Batfamily comics all sorted by issue release date so you can read them in the order they were originally intended to be read in, or easily reference back to what happened when. Do you want to know what Dick was up to during A Death in the Family? Need to know if Cass was around yet when Steph had her baby for your fan fic? Just a completion-ist with too much time on your hands like me? Then this is the list for you!

About six months ago I was trying to read my way through some old comics and getting insanely frustrated trying to figure out the order they went in. There are lots of reading lists online, but none of them gave me what I truly wanted: the order of individual issues rather than comic runs or collections. I also couldn't find any that featured all of the Batkids. So I took all of the reading lists I was using, found the On-Sale-Date for each of the issues mentioned, found a few other lists to fill in some gaps, and complied them into chronological order.

This list features what I consider to be the main 8 Batfamily members: Dick Grayson, Barbara Gordon, Jason Todd, Tim Drake, Stephanie Brown, Cassandra Cain, Damian Wayne, and Duke Thomas. It is by no means every appearance of these characters, but it is hopefully all of the important ones and then some. By no means do I suggest reading all of these (unless you're slightly insane like me), it's more of a reference guide than a read list.

Some Disclaimers:

This is still a work in progress. You'll notice that the first third of the list is much more detailed than the more recent entries. That's because I haven't read them yet. As of now I've only reached Batgirl 2000 #15, but will continue updating as I go through (I'm hoping to finish sometime within the next 12 months).

This is not a Batman list. I have included some issues about Bruce that I feel are important to the overall story, but if I were to include all of his important issues it would make the list unusable. You should still be able to follow his character arcs through his role in the comics listed here.

I needed to cut off somewhere, so anything released after December 31, 2023 was not included. I may go back and change this later, but not any time soon.

I do not want to discredit any of the Batfamily members not included here (ie Kate, Helena, Jean Paul). They are all important to Bruce and Gotham in their own way, but again I needed to cut it off somewhere or I never would have found an end.

For any edits you wish to suggest, please do so through this form. Any suggestions given not through this form will not be considered, and as it says in the form, I also will not consider any that don't have an explanation.

Glamrock Foxy and his Crew

While I don't think I'll have anything with Foxy for my Glamrock Kids- multiplayer au thing, I do have ideas for him.

TLDR: Cap'n Foxy served as the Pizzaplex's unofficial babysitter before the Superstar Daycare was built. Between this and his increasingly popular theater show (Cap'n Foxy's Pirate Adventure), it was decided he would be given two additional crewmates, Bangle and Bitty.

Serving as an extra pair of eyes and ears for Foxy, they help out in the theater show as well as fulfill duties the other animatronics are too large for, such as finding lost kids or helping run scavenger hunts across the Pizzaplex.

The Chaos Twins also live up to their Pirate heritage (much to everyone's chragrin) and have particularly sticky fingers.

COMMISSIONS OPEN

I choose to believe that Cap'n Foxy is normally a part of the pizzaplex, but during the events of the game was temporarily moved to a separate location to run shows there.

Cap'n Foxy is in charge of Pirate's Cove in addition to the Pirate Adventure Show.

The Pirate Adventure show's served as entertainment between the Glamrock concerts as well as a draw in for the older audience

shows ranged from thrilling acrobatics feats to comedic high sea adventures

these occasionally would have guest stars, most commonly Monty (this slowed down when he became an official Glamrock as opposed to the understudy)

there was a running joke where Foxy would accuse Monty of eating his hand and Monty would deny it with increasingly absurd alibis

he'd also assist Chica in her water show (Chica of the Sea) before that was shut down, serving as the villain

his hook can be exchanged for a hidden foldable sword hidden in back behind his coat in addition to a regular sword for his hand

he has two functioning eyes, tho the right one is typically only after flash photography (allowing him a quicker recovery time)

despite him being an older model, he is the fastest of the animatronics (excluding perhaps Bonnie)

before the Superstar Daycare was built, Pirates Cove was where parents would leave their younger kids for the day

likes puzzles- has a small stash hidden in his "room" in Pirate's Cove that he'll break out on occasion

HATES Parts and Service with a burning passion

it got to the point where he learned how to repair himself (and the others to a limited extent) just so he didn't have to go

with his increased popularity (and increased children being dropped off at Pirate's Cove, it was decided that Foxy was to be given "crewmates"

no one consulted him on this- Bangle and Bitty were just presented to him one weekend

Bangle and Bitty serve as Foxy's extra eyes in Pirate's Cove in addition to being his assistants in addition to being genia pigs for potential upgrades in the other animatronics

their smaller size allows them to access hiding places kids like to stow away in*

they also can be sent through out the pizzaplex to help out with the other attractions (Fazzerblast, Raceway, Gator Golf, etc) when they get overcrowded with guests

this requires a costume change per area

however, they have a programming bug: the only person (human or animatronic) they have to listen to is Foxy himself. Foxy thinks this is hilarious

Bangle

the unoffical "bard" of the group, Bangle is the one to provide the extra dramatic music in the middle of a show** when necessary

they can connect their instruments to a small speaker in their chest cavity

their voice box has the most range of vocals (prototype to Chica's), allowing them to fill different roles for the show as well, though they commonly work as Bitty's straight man

this has led to some confusion with guests as to whether or not they are supposed to be a male or a female (the answer is Yes.)

their joints have a unique locking system

any part of their body can be easily removed or reinstalled when unlocked (when locked they are slight less sturdy than a typical endo's joints but serve their purpose)

they can connect to them wirelessly and still have (limited) control

has a running gag on the show of "falling apart" particularly when they are stressed out or worried

occasionally takes off head and makes fun of shakespeare

is not fond of toddlers or infants

outside of shows, is given free roam of the Pizzaplex as a rule (so long as Pirate's Cove isn't too busy)

LOVES photobombing guest's pictures with Bitty

Left eye had to be replaced early on after they lost it mid-show (crashed a touch too hard into the stage set). That eye is far more sensitve to light, being designed for btter night vision

Bitty

smallest of all the animatronics in the Pizzplex (excluding Mini Musicman and perhaps Helpy if he counts)

they work with Bangle to bring the kids upstage and get them involved

Bitty rarely speaks of their own accord

typically they express themselves through sound effects projected from their chest speaker

Additionally, they can connect to the pizzaplex intercom system and have a microphone that allows stead or security to make impromptu announcements wherever they are out

through this they can make fake impromptu announcements through out the pizzaplex in any of the other Animatronic’s voices

eyes were upgraded to have better night vision and depth perception after crashing into Bangle too many times on a landing during Pirate Adventure's dimmer lit shows. (these were the prototypes for Roxy's eyes)

increases light sensitivity BUT their aim and accuracy has never been better

thinks Roxy is cool and so regularly steals her makeup

the pirate obsessed with treasure, Bitty has a bad habit of stealing things from both their fellow animatronics and the staff

they have hidey-holes across the pizzaplex crammed to the brim with stuff ranging from anywhere to staff badges to Freddy's top hat to enormous bags of Faz tokens

fond of riddles, if answered correctly they give out prizes (usually a large bag of faztokens but if a guest gives a particularly clever/funny answer they'll give them rarer items)

The Edge of Sleep is a horror/thriller story with an audio podcast, book, and now TV show. A perfect Halloween watch, the show features six twenty minute episodes all following Dave, the main character played by Mark, and his friends as they fight an epidemic that mysteriously killed the rest of the world. They must stay awake the entire time. Mark holds the important role of main character Dave and generously provided funds to the TV show.

RIMWORLD MC Coalition - Stats, Tags, & Relationships

NOTE: I'm monitoring sprite relationships on an individual basis, based on what I know about the og MCs (and some of you I've straight-up asked if you want your sprite to take lovers/get/married/have children). Hi everyone, I've been a long time lurker on this site on various fandom themed accounts, but have decided to finally take a more active role in the tumblr community.

I have aspired to be a writer (specifically a fantasy writer) since I read my first novel and realised I didn't want it to end. In fact, I didn't want it to end so much that I wouldn't let it, so I just continued the story. Basically I was an unoffical fanfic writer from a very young age (haha)!

So what happened? The answer is life. I got so caught up in the day to day that I started reading and writing less and less until I stopped altogether.

Very recently, I recieved some devastating news about my mum (which you can guess from the trigger warnings) and it made me realise how much I was just existing rather than living. So, I've decided to go back to my hobbies.

At some point, at the peak of my love of writing. I got this idea I couldn't shake. This is an idea I have planned and started countless times. However, despite still being relatively young (mid-20s), I'm far older than I was when I started this and have far more experience. So I've decided to give this relationship another go. I will be unlikely to finish it intime for my mum to read it now, but this is a book that needs - no, demands - to be written. It is something I need to do for me.

In light of this, I invite all you fellow tumblr users who have managed to make it to the end of this post (sorry for the rambling!) to follow my journey from start to end writing this book.

I just saw what you had said about SFW omegaverse, and I wanted to talk (or debate, if you'd like) how possible it'd be to write something about a relationship with a single mom omega and an alpha who's not the other parent of the child. (The pup was a product of a hookup with bad luck)

I think that it could happen because, first the omega is unmated, and second, the children (in my canon of the omegaverse) have the scent of both parents, and while that means they have the scent of the alpha progenitor scent, it is mixed with the omega's progenitor scent. But I want to know your take on this.

First of all, I'm of the opinion that anything is possible in omegaverse genre as it seems to be held together by loose assumptions, scotch tape, and whispers of tumblr of old.

But putting that *PSA* aside, within the confines of omegaverse tradition I don't see a problem with this. I guess here are three issues you might be thinking of.

If the problem you envision is that a previously coupled omega is now dating someone else, I would say this would only be a problem in an au where mating precedes sexual activity, meaning it would be impossible for an unmated omega to biologically reproduce. I've never seen this style, I think it would be interesting, but this isn't a commonly held idea I've come across around here.

If the problem you envision is that the alpha now has a fatherly-role towards a pup that isn't his, I've read plenty of fics with some similar situation regardless of if the omega is in the picture or not. Step-parenting and having relationships with people who have children is very common. I think it would be more nuanced if the alpha was the one coming into the relationship with the pup making the omega the step-parent, but this still would be widely accepted within the omegaverse community.

The scent of the pup would not match the scent of the alpha. This too wouldn't be a problem, unless it's impossible to take in a pup who isn't your own via adoption, fostering, unoffical means, etc.. And/or it's seen as extremely offensive to someone (?) to be calling yourself the parent of a child who doesn't share your scent. Not many aus that I've read use the concept of familial scent lines, and the ones I have seen don't address what would happen if a pup and parent didn't match, or mention that it doesn't matter.

Dave Strider hc!! dave is definitely, at the start at least, very thin but relatively lanky bc of general malnourishment from bro. however i like 2 think that he would become healthier throughout the comic and eventually become a healthy weight for his height. dave i think, if he went 2 school i think people would like him and think he was cool and wanna hang out buttt i think that he wowuld only have a couple good friends like the other beta kids buttt like his irl friends. i think dave definetly learned many domestic chores at a very young age. however i think bro would care about how dave looks, like his style and whatnot, but it would be strictly mandated by bro, with lil room for dave to express himself differently from bro. i think that dave is biracial bc i think roxy is black n dirk is pale asf in a white way.

John Egbert hc: just clariying i think june egbert iis totally cool and probably canon buttt i personally never rly thought about it b4 getting into the fandom so i have no headcanons for her so here r my headcanons for john. john definitely is on the chubbier smaller side imo. his dad does bake a lot! i think john had a pretty good upbringing and was pretty happy with his bad movies and prank obssession. at school he probably had a couple nerdy friends and tehy were all very close! i dont think he would play dnd buttt if he did i bet thats where he would meet his friends, stranger things style. john is a classic nerd and people like him bc hes so nice and very considerate. john likes basketball n has fun playing it but isnt very good. i think john is half brazilian bc i think jake is brazilian but alpha kids are for another day haha. john has definetly broken his glasses a few times tripping over things. i think hes a bit clumbsy lol.

Rose Lalonde hc: rose definitely had a rough childhood 2 but i think her mom took more care of her then bro did even if it was only 2 play the role of motherhood for her passive aggressive tendencies. she definitely stopped doing anything (other than vacuuming lol) once rose was old enough to do it herself. i think roses hair is bleached and straightened to oblivion and when she gets older shes defintely gonna wish she hadnt done it so much when she was younger. i think at school many people would have wanted to be her friend but she prefered more solitude, for wizard fanfics and eldritch god study. i think rose is shorter and curvier, (i def like the idea of her being shorter than kan) and a bit darker than dave. she started her intensive makeup routine in the hopes of attracting her mothers attention negatively, but with no luck. however she kept up with it because she found she liked the repetitivness of putting it on each morning, as well as the fact that it fit her overall aesthetic.

Jade Harley hc: i love jade i think she is sooo cute. jade had an interesting childhood, being raised by a god level dog. i dont think it was necessarily bad just... very different from the other kids. i imagine she was left unattended a lot, but bec would always be aware of when to teleport in 2 save her. her hair is very long and has never really been cut officially due 2 living in the woods. jade is completely homeschooled and has nevre left the island. i think jade is rather petite and pretty thin overall... i imagine dogs probably arent the best at nutrition for humans haha. even tho jade doesnt know any kids her age in person i think she probably had many online friends and spent a lot of time online, playing games, watching videos, and just messing around. i think she learned bass from a youtube video. jade is also half brazilian cause jake

Sleipnir Timeline A loose timeline of Sleipnir's growing humanity Note - his listed ages are purely chronological, Sleipnir is not human and he does not age as humans do. He has been physically about 21 for as long as he has existed and 'mental age' isn't something I'm really wanting to do here. Sleipnir is and always has been an adult.

Year 826 - Birth Sleipnir was created from Odin's power by 18 year old Barnabas Tharmr very soon after he awoke as Odin's Dominant. Sleipnir at this point is not a person, he is blank outside of his fulfilment of his roles - he is Barnabas's companion, but also acts as a caretaker; taking aspects of his mother to help soothe the ache of her loss. He doesn't speak much but he is very physically affectionate.

Year 828 - Age 2 Sleipnir is unique as an Egi in that he is constant. He exists beyond Odin's priming, and it allows him to grow. The blankness gives way to an almost childlike curiosity that would become the foundation of his humanity. Rapidly he had developed his sword skills, and even at this point he is able to fight by Barnabas's side with a frightening lack of care for the lives or suffering of anyone but his Dominant.

Year 831 - Age 5 The growing curiosity and interest in the world has developed, though he has yet to understand morals; which has left him a very interestingly violent thing who likes to kill things in new and fun ways ! (picture a cat bringing dead prey to their owner, sleipnir is bringing barnabas pieces of people)

Year 836 - Age 10 This is the point in which Sleipnir becomes nearly entirely human. He thinks, he feels, he wants, he exists the same alongside Barnabas as he does away from him. He still doesn't care about anything that isn't Barnabas and will never truly separate himself from Barnabas's desires and beliefs. Year 843 - Age 17 (The establishment of Waloed) Sleipnir takes the title of Lord Commander solely because it is what suits him - he is Barnabas's best fighter, now knight, and it is a high position of power so it allows their continued closeness. It takes him some time to adjust to having official authority over others, and he doesn't tend to connect to his knights. Barnabas takes the title of King, and Sleipnir allows that to define their dynamic. What once was closer to a partnership (though they were never on equal footing) becomes a very strict dynamic; a king and his knight. He stops calling Barnabas by his name. Year 850 - Age 24 (Cid becomes lord commander, Barnabas gives himself to Ultima) In his years as a Knight Sleipnir has thrived - he suits structure and has found himself very good at navigating politics and social games. He has no qualms giving his position to Cid, remaining in an unoffical advisory position to Barnabas. He doesn't take another rank in this time and does not consider Cid having any authority over him - he answers to his King and only to his King. He accepts Ultima without question and dedicates himself to his plan alongside Barnabas. Colin Farrell and Jared Leto have one thing in common beyond a doubt: their affinity for the band U2. Not only affinity for, but also proximity to them.

Let's look at the picture below. It hints at U2 gifting the Leto brother's band Thirty Seconds to Mars (30STM) a lot of Guinness and Champagne and leaving their 'best wishes' and a recipe to mix all of that together after 30STM's Dublin concert on May 30, 2018.

Pretty friendly. Yeah, and why not?

In 2017 Jared had in fact presented the 'Global Icon' Award To U2 at the MTV EMAs like a good ol' friend and with a lot of praise, framing the influence of U2's 1987 album The Joshua Tree on Shannon and him in the 80ies like some kind of founding myth for 30STM. It's not even hyperbole: they had frequent U2 collaborators Steve Lillywhite and Flood produce their album This Is War (2009) and Lillywhite Love, Lust, Faith + Dreams (2013). Unsurprisingly they sound very U2ish.

Colin & U2

Colin Farrell is some kind of honorary member of U2 since - forever. A google search reaps plenty of evidence of him going to concerts or hanging out with them at PR events, award shows or just hanging out.

He's so close with the band, he even met his on-off-girlfriend through them, who was The Edge's PA. It's not only him, all Farrells are friendly with the band. In 2011 Bono attended Eamon Farrell's birthday party, who's Colin's brother, even though Colin wasn't present, and so on. I don't know if this is a common Dubliner thing, maybe all Dubliners know U2 personally in some way...

Fun fact: Colin's godmother and aunt Martina is married to a man who owned U2's favorite club among others in the 1980ies. U2 once flew from somewhere in Europe back to Ireland just to go to that club.

In 2003, Colin, at the height of superstardom, and Bono were practically glued together. The picture below shows them at an Oscar party (Jared was there too).

Jared has crossed paths at least with The Edge and Bono long before 2017. No wonder as Bono is a sucker for fame and money and has been mingling in Hollywood society for decades. In 2003, the year Colin was glued to Bono's side, Jared's hardly been a total stranger to the "U2'ers" either...

The picture below shows him at a Golden Globes party in 2003. (Colin was there too) Jared's girlfriend Cameron Diaz, at the height of her stardom and who would dump him for Justin Timberlake shortly after this, had starred in Scorsese’s Gangs on New York (2002). U2 had written a song for the soundtrack and won a Golden Globe award for it, but not the Oscar. In fact, the movie won none of its ten nominations. All Oscar hopes for that movie were squashed.

We see Jared here kind of cockblocking/chatting up Daniel Day Lewis whom he to this day quotes as an inspiration and role model as an actor.

Colin & Jared & U2

Alexander (2004) was shot on three different locations in Morocco, England and Thailand from late September 2003 to mid February 2004. Right after returning home from the Alexander set in Thailand, Jared started to perform Where the streets have no name (WTSHNN) at 30STM concerts. Along with this the infamous Alexander-ish song A Modern Myth was played live for the first time, which made it the first song from their 2005 album A Beautiful Lie that saw the light of day.

After shooting for months with ultra U2 fan Colin, choosing a U2 song that talks of sunlight, dust clouds, poison rain, the desire to break free and be together - and desert plains.... Hello Morocco nostalgia?! Most of the cast were Irish dudes culturally socialized in the 80ies. I can easily imagine this song being an unoffical hymn at parties. Besides Macarena, maybe.

I think, for Jared WTSHNN is linked to the experience of shooting Alexander, which he said was full of "adventures" and changed his life and let him "fall in love with the desert". Both Jared and Colin have talked about the "amazing" experience they had in Morocco. It's telling that after general shooting for Alexander had stopped merely a week prior (Feb 13, 2004), Jared flew back to L.A., still looking like Hephaistion and all, and played these two songs.

In 2008 Colin and Jared were in Park City, Utah, for several days. Why?

The Sundance Film Festival.

Colin promoted In Bruges (2007) and the documentary Kicking it (2008). He was executive producer and narrator for the latter. In Bruges was set as the opening night film and premiered on January 17. The film would rehabilitate Colin as an actor after the ill-received Alexander had almost tanked his career and plunged him into the arguably most severe personal crisis of his life.

In January 2008 Colin was 31 years old and 24 months into his struggle for sobriety. His little son had been diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder that would impede his intellectual development and come with medical complications. Colin's had to wrestle with a stalker, with the publication of an unauthorized sex tape and a romantic liaison with a 21-year-old medical student that took a morbid turn when her depressive ex-boyfriend couldn't handle the break-up and committed suicide. And certainly there were some more problems that didn't go public.

In Bruges though would win him a Golden Globe 2009. A ray of light on the horizon...

Fun fact: Colin's character is named Ray. Jared had played a Ray before in Lonely Hearts Killers (2006) with Salma Hayek, who had starred alongside Colin in Ask the Dust (2006) right before she went on to shoot with Jared. A character called Rayon would then be Jared's Oscar ticket in 2014.

Jared had no movies to promote at Sundance 2008, he was just there... he hopped from party to party accompanied by Brent Bolthouse - a man generally described as a L.A. "nightlife impresario and businessman" - to whom Jared was glued to in public for most of the 2000s until he was suddently and inexplicably not. Jared's most memorable contribution to the festival that year was making out with Paris Hilton for some reason.

On January 19, 2008 U2 graced the Park City, Utah with their presence to introduce another of their vanity projects: U2 3D. "U2 3D mobilizes digital 3-D and surround-sound technology to plunge us into almost supernatural proximity to the musicians." Alright...

Jared and Brent attended the first screening of U2 3D. The two screenings and parties for U2 3D were the hottest tickets in town that year. Long waiting lines and exclusive guest lists.

Before the screening there was a U2 3D cocktails and dinner party at the Bon Appetit Supper Club. Colin was invited. He's chatting to the U2 3D director Catherine Owens here.

But he left early to attend the screening of Kicking it. From there he went to the after party at Greenhouse at the top of Main and hung out some more with Brendan Gleeson and Mary-Kate Olsen. The U2 3D after party was at the same place. One party became the next and Colin and the U2ers were present.

Fun fact: Mr. Leto isn't a stranger to the Olsen twins, especially Ashley, either...

I'm pretty sure the two well-connected L.A. hipsters Leto and Bolthouse didn't miss out on the U2 3D after party. There were rumors of the band performing there, which didn't happen in the end. They somehow had secured tickets for the screening, which, by all accounts, wasn't an easy task, they probably made their way inside the after party as well.

It's improbable that Colin and Jared roamed the same street at the same festival for some days, and didn't take notice of each other, not even amidst the U2 hype in that year.

Especially when an Irish newspaper article would quote Jared saying something like this shortly after this (January 25, 2008):

I don't know if you've spent any time in Colin's company, but that guy is just so amazing. His zest for life is infectious. I consider him to be a good friend and hopefully if he's in Dublin when we're there, we'll get to hang out.

So why not hang out in Park City? Proof of this "good friendship" is hard do come by since at least 2004.

U2 360° tour 2009

So this is Jared in a workflow in his home studio cutting the Kings and Queens music video. Only two months to go until the release of This Is War. Maybe he's a bit distracted because all the celebrities flock out to Pasadena to see U2 on their 360° tour at the Rose Bowl. Among them - of course - Colin Farrell, seen here in the backstage area. He's found himself a second baby mama while filming a movie with her the year before.

Fun fact: the liaison unfortunately overlapped with his relationship with writer Emma Forrest to whom he also proposed parenthood, as one can read in her very fine, bittersweet memoir Your Voice In My Head (2011).

Her name is Alicja Bachleda-Curuś. She's 26 years old in this picture (baby daddy is 33) and has delivered a baby son only 18 days ago but you wouldn't know it just looking at her. It's unclear whether the reIationship at this point is still a romantic one, or if it ever really was, because he was already busy thinking about Elizabeth Taylor when he came home from the hospital. Alright... Alicja's baby daddy is about to dump her, but provide for her. That kind of thing.

I somehow love that Henry is her spitting image nowadays!

MTV Unplugged (2011)

In 2011 30STM performed a very good version of WTSHNN during their session. Obviously still fans of the song.

Fun fact: Colin was in NYC on the day (May 13) the MTV Unplugged session with the WTSHNN cover was recorded.

He was papped around Times Square, early and late evening in front of the (then) Foxwoods Theatre (right next to the New Victory Theater) looking a bit pissed.

Apparently he was on his way to a preview performance for the ill-fated Spider-Man musical Turn off the dark that had music written by his buddies Bono and The Edge. After a hiatus for creative overhaul preview shows had begun again May 12th.

Fun fact: this whole Spiderman musical idea suffered from hubris, not unlike Alexander had, which was mostly rooted in this constellation:

Other pics and a video of Colin were taken in front of the Mandarin Oriental hotel, wether it was the next morning or not is hard to tell. Colin takes a cab and off he goes�� He's in different attire and not accompanied by his sister Claudine, so probably the day after, May 14.

Anyway, he went to NYC with his sister, and though all the available paparazzi fotos give the date as May 13, there's a chance the Farrell siblings were personally invited by the producers, namely Bono and the Edge, to attend the reopening (preview) show which was set for the 12th. Whichever date it was, the fact remains that Colin was in town when Jared recorded MTV Unplugged.

Fun fact: Unplugged also featured a cover version of Message in a bottle by The Police, that wasn't televised (along with Alibi). They played an acoustic version of Message in a bottle 18 times while on tour in 2005 and 9 times in 2006, then several years did not. 2005 was the year Colin was shooting Miami Vice ending in an OD, and 2006 his first year sober after rehab.

Jared had multi day rehearsals for Unplugged at the (former) Sony music studios which were in 20 min walking/driving distance from Times Square. All of the places are in proximity.

Wouldn’t Colin pay a visit to a friend he used to be close to, a fellow U2 fan? It would be so fitting for him as a gesture of support.

Alas, nothing of the kind was ever known…

Bubblegum Lich

So hear me out, what if the reason that they couldn't find the missing pieces of bubble gum is that some of it- still possessed by lich energy -escaped into the candy kingdom sewers it. This mass has some of bubblegum's knowledge, and unlike Bubblegum decided to become full grown again by using the biomass found in the sewer of Candy kingdom. After collecting enough biomass or not wanting to continue living in the sewer, sneaks out the Candy Kingdom and return the Lich well. They then proceed to plug the well up because despite everything they aren't as evil they are more either Chaotic neutral or Law evil or whatever the ice king is, just a merry little trickster with a power of an eldritch thing.

After the events of Lemongrab which they were unaware of, they decided to stat messing with the Candy kingdom. Every time they appear the Gumball Guardians do their usual thing and try to kill them, but as soon as their about to do so they speak in bubblegum's voice and tells them to stop and forget so that A) they don't kill them and B) try again when they appear again. They then proceed to buy supplies in the candy kingdom- don't ask me where they got money- and return to the lich well. After the first six time this happened the Princess Bubblegum assumed the Gumball guardians were malfunctioning, but after the fifteenth time, this is suspicious so she sends Finm and Jake to investigate. So they do and they find them and they explain their origins with Jake laughing that their probably made of candy poop and is promptly ordered in the lich way to slap all his cheeks one hundred times. So Finn decides their not a threat and they return to the princess and she decides that Lichgum isn't a threat because there is not much she can do against Lichgum because they have her knowledge plus the powers of the lich.

So Lichgum is just a presence in ooo and becomes the unoffical guardian of the Lich well, and by glob what a bad job they do. They play the role of the all powerful bystander for the most part and are also afraid of Sweat Pea.

Your favorite princess, Hortensia, is here! What? She’s not your favorite? Well, that’s understandable. They really did combined the annyoning little sister with the “OH ho ho” noblest snob archetypes into a clown Vtuber. But in my opinion, she is the best staff user in . . . all of Fire Emblem? Sure, other healer from older games have their utility, but Engage has the best selection of staffs, it has Emblem Micaiah, and Hortensia’s Big Personality and Sleipnir Rider class, a flying Res tank with World Tree to give her Dex% chance of not consuming a use of her staff, made her the best of the best. So, how does this work in FEH, now that we have three of the most powerful 5-star staff units we ever had?

World Tree Staff : Calculates damage from staff like other weapons. Accelerates Special trigger (cooldown count-1; max cooldown count value cannot be reduced below 1). Enables [Canto (1)]. At start of turn, if Special cooldown count is at its maximum value, grants Special cooldown count-1. If unit is within 3 tile radius of an ally, grant unit Atk/Spd+6 to unit, neutralizes effects that prevent unit's follow-up attacks or inflict "Special cooldown charge -X" on unit during combat. If unit initiate combat, after combat, if Special cooldown count is at its maximum value, grants Special cooldown count-1.

So compared to Val!Elise, Hortensia is getting a sort of Time’s Pulse 4 and Null-Guard instead of +1 Special Charge, and she’s getting Canto (1) instead of inflicting Flash. So, she is much better at using offensive Specials, but also we’re not stacking the Gravity/Flash like Elise was doing.

Holy Flash - Physic+ - Dazzling Shift – Flier Guidance 4

Holy Flash: (Cooldown 3) If an Assist skill is used, unit's Special cooldown count does not go down. When Special triggers, boosts damage by 45% of foe's Res. (Calculates damage from staff after combat damage is added.) If this Special is triggered during combat, inflict Def/Res-7 and “foe cannot counterattack” on target and foes within 2 spaces of target after combat.

Flier Guidance 4: Flying allies within 2 spaces can move to a space within 2 spaces of unit. Grants Atk/Spd+3 to flying allies within 2 spaces of unit during combat, and also, if those allies' Spd > foe's Spd, neutralizes effects that prevent those allies' follow-up attacks during combat.

As for the other skills, I got two new ones. While Holy Restraint was the Luna+Gravity Special, Holy Flash is the Luna+Flash Special, but since that seems not as useful as Gravity, I also add a lighter Dagger effect, so your team will do more damage, and benefit from not getting counter attacked more. You can think of this as her using the Break staff from Engage, if you want. Then there’s Flier Gudiance 4, which is just Guidance 4 from Re!Tana. She then gets Physic+ because she was always assisting from a distant with her perf skill, and Dazzling Shift, to help with repositioning allies with Guidance 4. So her whole game plan is warp in, attack her foe, trigger her Special, Flash the foe’s, then guidance her flyer allies in to sweep things up. You can say that she’s using Lucina’s All for One engage skill, like she does in Chapter 7, and that was totally intentional.

Timerra: Sandstorm Princess

Lance – Infantry – Fire Emblem: Engage – 5 Star ReArmed

Your favorite princess, Timarra, is here! What? She’s also not your favorite? Well, that’s inconceivable. She sings dumb campfire songs, exclusively cooks meat skews, and accessorizes with jawbreakers. What more do you want? . . . I guess some more relevance to the overall plot but I guess all these characters are disposable after their respective story arches. But at least her role as a frontline defender and dual striker is still here. With tons of Def, balance Str/Spd, a trigger skill that increased damage base on her Def, and a passive AOE debuff that lowers foe’s Crit chance. How do I make her a ReArmed unit?

Acrane Picket: Unit can counterattack regardless of range. If unit's HP >= 25%, inflict Atk/Def-6 on foe's during combat, grant unit a guarantee follow-up attack, neutralizes penalties on unit's Def/Res, and reduces damage from foe's follow-up attack by 60% during combat.

That’s right! If we are going to get an inheritable Distant Counter weapon, it would be in the form of an Arcane weapon. For now, I just replaced Accelerate Special with it, then gave it the basics for a slow tank to function well. However, instead of “Preventing foe’s follow-up", she reduces the damage. I figured that there was enough NFU that this might be a better incase the tank couldn’t one-shot with a counterattack. This would be best served with Special Fighter or Hardy Fighter on armored units, infantry can use Bulwark, Tempo, or a Dodge skill (if they don’t get NFU), and . . . I don’t know what fliers and cavalry would do with this. Maybe Guard 4. Also, the A slot is now open for a tier 4 skill, or maybe. . .

Sturdy Breath: If foe initiates combat, grants Atk/Def+6 during combat and Special cooldown charge +1 to unit per attack. (Only highest value applied. Does not stack.)

Yeah, I made a Steady Breath 2 skill months ago and I just thought this would be less confusing. Note that this skill grants charge on both unit and foe’s attack, unlike Steady Breath. This will be used to charge her Ignis on her follow-up attack, but you can swap it with Bonfire if you think that’s better.

Raket of Solm: Inflict Atk/Spd/Def/Res-4 and Special Cooldown -1 per attack on foes within a 3 tile radius. If unit is within a 2 tile radius of an ally, grant unit Atk/Spd/Def/Res+4 during combat.

And now for that perf skill. In a way, Critital Evade is like Guard so this gives her the other benefit of Steady Stance 3. While also giving it to adjacent allies, or any ally fighting a foe in the 3 tile radius of her, along with 4 stat advantage on all stats. Timarra then get another +4 to her stats making it a +8 stat advantage, similar to the +8/10 during combat that other perf A slot skills got.

Ignis – Sturdy Breath – Atk/Def Bulwark - Raket of Solm

After that, it’s the afore-mentioned Ignis, and Atk/Def Bulwark to make the frontline easier. You may notice this skill was introduced by Askr, and that Timarra featured in Askr’s home workout video from this year’s April Fools. Think of it as a parting gift.

Fogado: Desert Cupido

Bow – Calvary - Fire Emblem: Engage – 5 Star

Your favorite … not doing this again. Fogado, aka Cluade 2, is the sexy archer prince, channeling the vibrato of Disney’s Aladdin. When you wanted a solid bow knight, you instead get a mixed Str/Mag bow knight, with high Spd, a similar “benifit from fighting the same foe twice” perf skill, and a trigger skill that only works when foe’s attack him, and works like Vengeance, the skill reserved for Barbarinas or Nosforaetu Dark Mages. What a weird guy. To use him to his full potancal, you need to but him in danger of dying, have a weapon to counterattack with, and hope he triggers his skill or just kills on the counter attack. Roy’s Hold Out can stop him from dying while Leif could ensure he has either a Bow or Sword equipped to counterattack and that he vantages, and then there is Ike’s Warth. But enough Engage strategy, how do I make that in heroes?

Cupido Bow: Effective against flying foes. Grants Atk+3. At start of combat, if unit's HP ≥ 25%, grants Atk/Spd+6 to unit during combat, calculates damage using the lower of foe's Def or Res, and also, if unit initiates combat or foe initiates combat and foe's range = 2, reduces damage from foe's first attack by 40% and boosts unit's next attack by total damage reduced (by any source, including other skills). Resets at end of combat.

Oh, is that Nyx’s Tome, but I added the Adaptive damage, since he is best used with a Radiant Bow. I also made it so all ranged foe’s will get their nukes sent Back at You. But how will he survive those attacks in the first place?

Reprisal – Remote Sparrow – Vantage 4

Vantage 4: Inflict Atk-4 on foe during combat. When foe initiates combat, if unit's HP ≤ 99%, unit’s counterattack occurs before foe’s first attack.

Okay, Reprisal is just there for more damage. We got Remote Sparrow for more damage and more damage reduction to live counter attacks boost his retaliation damage. Then there’s Vantage 4, which is there just to withstand further onslaughts by sniping them before they snipe back. Admittedly, this does make the main effect of the bow pointless, but . . . Okay, this slot was gonna be Seal Def 4 but Wedding!Anna just came with the same Remote Sparrow, Seal Def 4 combo. Sure, Fogato will be added years from now and as a normal hero but people are going to call me out on this.

Theorycrafting the Elyos Royals FEH Part 1

Emblem, Engage!

I'm doing something new here (unless you see my old fanmade Heroes sprites), making theory crafting new heroes. I’m going off of my predictions from a while ago and I’m starting with Elyos royals, hence the title. Also, the royals on the box art will be getting the same treatment as Alfred, a Rearmed unit with a Pref skill, named after their perf skill. Let’s Engage! (not in a marry sort of way (unless))

Diamant: Brodia’s Successor

Sword – Infantry – Fire Emblem: Engage – 5 Star ReArmed

The Crowned Prince of Brodia is massively popular character from Engage by sheer husbando merit alone. His personal class makes him a modified Hero class that gives him Sol. He came with high HP, Strength, and Defense, with good Speed and Build to reliably avoid being double. This overall balance of a melee unit makes him adaptable to many Emblems and Skills to inherit. His stats above reflex that, with higher the average HP, the new max Atk, and even Spd and Def. His weakness to Magic is something he will share with Alfred.

Arcane Jian: Accelerates Special trigger (cooldown count-1). If unit's HP ≥ 25%, inflicts Atk/Def-6 on foe during combat, deals damage = 15% of unit's Atk (including when dealing damage with a Special triggered before combat), reduces damage before and during combat by attack by 40% (excluding Røkkr area-of-effect Specials), and grant unit a guaranteed follow-up attack.

Well, I was late to make an arcane sword that gave NFU, so I when with a more tank sword. After that, you get true damage base on your Atk instead of Spd, and reduce damage from all of foe’s attack. While Arcane Lúin is perfect for Speedy units, this is for slow heavy-hitter units.

Fair Fight: If foe initiates combat or foe can counterattack, grant unit Atk/Spd/Def/Res+8 during combat and reduce damage from foe's second attacks and onward by 80%. If unit's HP ≥ 75% and unit initiates combat, foe can counterattack before unit's first attack. After combat, if unit’s HP = 100%, unit is dealt 1 damage.

Now for the perf. From Diamint’s personal skill from Engage gives him and his opponent extra Hit chance when he initiates. It’s a double edge sword that could be used in your favor to intentionally take damage and use Wrath or Reprisal. But since he has Sol, it can be mitigated if he triggers on the follow-up, or better, on his one hit when using a Smash weapon. For this, he gets all these stats and damage reduction on follow-up attacks (like Brave Ike) when he in combat with a foe that can hurt him (no initiating on 2 range foes, that’s an unfair fight).

Sol – Fair Fight – Warth 4 – Joint Close Def

So I’m popping both my theorycrafted Warth 4 and Joint Close Def, which isn’t even in the game yet like come on. I’m also changing my HP ≤ 90% to HP ≤ 99% because why not at this point. I gave him the deal 1 damage in his A slot for that reason.

Wrath 4: If unit's attack can trigger their Special, grant the following: At start of turn, if unit's HP ≤ 99%, grants Special cooldown count-1. At the start of combat, if unit's HP ≤ 99%, deals +10 damage when Special triggers and neutralize effects that inflict "Special Cooldown charge-X" on unit during combat. After combat, if unit's HP ≤ 99%, grants Special cooldown count-1.

Joint Close Guard: Grants Def/Res+4 to allies within 2 spaces during combat against sword, lance, axe, dragonstone, or beast foes. If unit is within 2 spaces of an ally and foe uses sword, lance, axe, dragonstone, or beast damage, grants Def/Res+4 to unit during combat.

Yeah, he’s a bit of a mess, falling into the same problem Alfonse had where you intentionally take damage, get more powerful, then heal back up in a loop. But the loop cuts short when the guy you fight is at max power when at full health. I did mitigate it by having the HP condition be 1 point of damage, and making him take 1 point of damage.

Alcryst: Inferior Complex

Colorless Bow - Infantry - Fire Emblem: Engage – 5 Star

Fittingly, the second prince of Brodia is behind in popularity behind his big bro Diamant. The last two infantry archers we got in heroes since the BST boost from CYL were Eti (with the highest Atk) and Kiragi (tied with highest Spd). They are both 3-4 stars. Our 5 star locked boy, is going to compete with these two by having one less then both of those unit’s best stats, cuz he needs to be inferior is some way. His unique class, Tireur d'élite, is best known for spamming Luna better than any of the other characters with unique trigger skill classes. So, I have . . . basically made him the bow version of ReArmed Ophilea.

Eilte Bow: Effective against flying foes. Accelerates Special trigger (cooldown count-1). If foe initiates combat with an ally within 2 spaces, grant that ally Def/Res+5 during combat, and after combat, grant unit Atk/Spd/Def/Res +6 for 1 turn and also, if unit’s Special is at its maximum value, grant Special count-1. If unit initiate combat or is within a 2 tile radius of an ally, grant bonus to unit’s Atk/Spd/Def/Res = 4 + current bonus on each of unit's stats during combat. Calculates each stat bonus independently.

Alcryst’s personal skill is “Get behind me!” Where in, If an nearby ally is attacked during enemy phase, Alcryst get a one turn Attack boost. Since that’s nothing, I gave if a full +6 and Time Pulse when an ally is attacked. I also included a Drive Bracing Stance, which pairs well with Joint Close Guard. From there, he’s just gets another boost in combat that comes with bonus doubler. So that’s like, +16 to all stats.

Luna - Special Spiral 4 – Joint Distant Guard

After that, he has is signature Luna, along with Special Spiral 4 and Joint Distant Guard to further protect your allies and yourself against the foe's you can counter attack against. No A slot skill though.

The Crown Princess of Elusia and avatar worshiper, Ivy is here. She’s known for using tomes, riding a wyvern, having surprising balanced stats for a mage, a purple outfit with a boob window, and . . . is this Camila, or am I mistaking her for Zephia? Anyway, I had three idea’s for her, one is Chapter 8 appearance where she used Emblem Leif to Vantage tank your team, the second is based on her recruitment chapter, where she used the Lyn ring and used Alacrity (or Spd check Desperation) to two tap foes, and the third is “Why not both?” That’s the worst option, but if she gets a Legendary or Summer alt, that’s what it would be. As for this build, we have two Vantage mage fliers in the form of B!Bylth and Ninja!Camila, while we have three mages with Desperation, with Spring!Delthia, B!Lysithia, and Winter!Lysithia, none of them are fliers. And I know Ivy is more bulk than Spd, but we still need her to be meta.

Arcane Excalibur: Accelerates Special trigger (cooldown count-1). If unit's HP > 25%, grants Atk/Spd/Def/Res+5 to unit, inflict penalties on foe's Spd/Res = penalties active on foe's Spd/Res during combat (Calculate stats independently), and reduces damage from foe's first attack by 40% during combat, and also, if unit's Spd > foe's Spd, neutralizes effects that guarantee foe's follow-up attacks and effects that prevent unit's follow-up attacks during combat.

This is an Arcane tome built for Speedy tome users that also further increases her damage and Spd by doubling the Spd/Res penalties. Then there’s the 30% DR and NFU we saw on the other Arcane weapons. Next, it’s Ivy’s perf B slot skill.

Single Minded: Enables [Canto (1)]. Inflicts Spd/Res-4 on foe during combat, and if no effect neutralizes penalties to foe's Spd/Res, inflicts penalty on foe's Spd/Res during combat = 6 - current penalty on foe's Spd/Res (min: 0). Calculate stats independently. Inflicts Spd/Res-6 on foe through its next action after combat. If unit initiate combat penalties and unit’s Spd > foe’s Spd - X, unit's follow-up attack occurs before foe's counterattack (X= active penalties on foe’s Res).

So, I gave her a very player phased focused B slot. She has Canto 1. She has Spd/Res Seal 4, in that she inflicts - 10 Spd/Res if the foe can't neutralize penalties, otherwise it's -4, then she applies -6 Spd/Res. She then gets Alacrity, the Spd check desperation that Lyn gives her, but as a bonus, she adds the penalties' on the foe's Res to help her Spd check. The idea is that, her perf gives her more Hit when facing the same opponent again. I'm mirroring this by using the Spd/Res penalties to mark a foe she fought.

Ruptured Sky – Atk/Spd Catch 4 – Single Minded – Spd Smoke 4

For the rest of her kit, she came with the skill Grasping Void, that takes the foe's Magic stat and add it to her own damage. A more reliable version of that in Heroes is Ruptured Sky, that takes the foe's Atk stat (more if it's a dragon). Sorry Byleth, you don't have a monopoly on that skill anymore. Then there's Atk/Spd Catch to use the penalties to applies to boost her damage, and Spd Smoke 4 to give her more Spd and [Dodge] after fighting. This mirrors the Spd Taker skill that Lyn also provides. These great fodder skill should make up for the fact she don't come with any new inheritable skills.

Ooof this round went to Xian she played ying luo and ying luo was played easily bc of how much she loved the empress, she's become more cautious but anything concerning the few people she loves more than anything and she becomes extremely reckless. She found out about erqing and straight up murdered her in front of the empress' portrait with no fear for the consequences even if it means loosing the emperor's affection or dying all together . I love her so so much she's insane, Xian too is truly a masterful player but the difference between them is ying luo has people she loves and who love her back, I don't think Xian has a single person like that, her maid seems to lover her but Xian would drop her in a second if it benefited her, every single one of her interactions is her manipulating someone, she doesn't play the long game, the entire thing is a game to her she never stops playing

I think it's interesting u point out that what yinglou has is people she loves who love her back. she does! she has her small collection of people! I think this absolutely is SPOT ON and it's consort xian's weakness. She's incapable of real grace & forgiveness and she uses the people more as simply tools without forming the same bonds yingluo does.

You could think this is a huge weakness for yingluo - she takes reckless action here because of a deep bond. But also in the same situation she is protected by something Consort Xian fundamentally does not understand.... the very real bond yingluo has crafted with the emperor, that is nothing like the shallow pleasantries he plays out with her. She's never seen them be real with each other, she has no idea they have already forgiven each other of worse.

Of course, it was still a risk - she seriously crossed a line. But we see that the vulnerability Yingluo opens herself up to in these bonds she makes with people creates something that isn't so easily broken.
