i'm all for more aspec representation in general (of course i am) but like. there's really something to be said about how i can make a post that explicitly says "i would like to see more aroallo/alloaro characters in sitcoms because i think there are comedic dynamics that are worth exploring" and many people responding by tagging canon aroace characters/subtextually aroace characters and/or making the post more about aroace characters

like that is a valid point!! we do need more aroace characters, but when the majority of aspec representation is aroace or ace characters, a post calling for more aroallo/alloaro representation (that we already have very little of outside of headcanon) is not really the place to talk about that

I have all of these extended thoughts on my head about the amazing way themes and character relationships are handled in Iruma-kun and the inclusion of queerness and the handling of the coming of age narrative in this shonen manga/anime

AAAA I found a whole book about transmisogyny by someone who doesn’t think people can be cleanly sorted into transmisogyny affected and exempt !!! :D

Jules Gill-Peterson is a transfeminist trans woman author, historian specializing in transgender history, and associate professor at Johns Hopkins University. This year, she published “A Short History of Trans Misogyny.” I was able to find a copy online and I can’t wait to read it :) I glanced around and she doesn’t really talk about trans men and transmasculine people, which I’m really glad about!!! I was worried I was going to see my experiences misrepresented again. I can’t wait to read this!!

Fill the cracks with gold by @sister-dear was so fun to read, it might be one of my favourites for Four

I loved Hiding behind plaster and ceramics by @occasionallyprosie -it had a lot of takes I hadn't seen before and was also very good writing

@arecaceae175 recommended down, a nine chapter sickfic that is really good, I loved reading it.

And my wisdom tooth surgery went well :D I've stayed off the internet for a bit of recovery. I'm good I'm just not doing too much interacting when I'm tired *shrug*. I was scared because my health is always so bad but it was ok. :))) I have definitely spent a lot of time reading- I knew it was a good idea to ask for sick fics for surgery week XD
