Jaxon is a cool name but I'm possibly biased for names that sound 'sharp' and/or have like x, y, and z in them. Wait I'm totally biased for x considering my "X-Experiments". Six characters all named X basically and choose names for themselves starting with X.
Sorry I'm about to ramble but I just wanna share a bit about my process for naming characters
Not giving a character a name until you have all the details worked out actually sounds pretty smart. Bobo was originally a drawing I made of a little girl with a big hammer that loves sweets. Just a random design that I left sitting for the longest time until I decided she'd fit this princess character when I was reading some fanfiction (as I don't like to insert myself into x readers) and I misremembered the name as Bobo. The name for this random character design was Bebe. Then a few years later as I was contemplating trying out Twisted Wonderland is when I actually started to develop Bobo along with the idea of an underground mushroom kingdom.
But every now and then I feel slight anguish for choosing Bobo as her name. As not only does it feel a bit lame as a name for a princess, I can't help but think "Bobo the clown" along with the mental image of that person putting on a clown wig and makeup while looking sad. But I'm too attached to that being her name to try finding a better name.
When it comes to me picking names I have several different ways I go about it. Either a random name or a word that doesn't really exist comes to me. If I have an idea for a meaning behind the name I'll look up names that mean this word or that word but if that doesn't work then I might just look at a list of names starting with a letter that's starts the same as a meaning I wanted to get. Sometimes I just look through a list of names and their meanings for ideas. Though there are a few times where I'll take several words and mash them together to form a name. Usually just being meanings I want associated with the character, names with those meanings, or just a collection of names I like but I don't want to use any single one.
Though I think most of the time I design the visuals of the character then try to find a name, but I usually get ideas for the character while drawing them. Then there's a few times where I have the character spinning about in my head because I haven't gotten around to drawing them and sometimes just able to think of names for them since they're sitting there waiting anyway.
(Please don't ask for the fanfiction that made me think of Bobo in a princess role as 1. I don't recall the name but I think it was on Quotev? 2. I'm a bit embarrassed by it but you have to understand sometimes I look up certain fanfictions simply because I need to know if anyone has written any 'x reader' stuff for this or that character.)
Why did you choose the name Jaxon? Just because it sounded cool or a deeper reason?
-🪿
lmaoo this is going to reveal some of the horrors of my writing process but here we go!
So when I'm creating an oc they actually all start out with my name so in the beginning, Jaxon was actually Ryker. It's only until after the rest of the outline for the oc is finished (personality, backstory, role, etc.) that I finally choose a name for them. This is partially because I'm lazy, but it's also because then I get to choose a name that I think fits them well since I now have a better idea of what they're like
So when the time came that I wanted to share Jaxon on my blog, I scrolled though a list of 1,000 names until I found one I was satisfied with. I actually ended up liking the name Jaxon a lot and thought it fit him well, so that's the name I went with!
#reblog#random#writing discussion#naming discussion#jaxon is such a cool name#i think the anon is goose but on desktop all i see is a square frame#curiosity killed the cat and theres several reasons im a ghost#once looked up if theres any spongebob x reader and absolutely suprised by how many there are#i cant even view spongebob as a dateable entity it just that doesnt exist so i didnt even bother reading any#all these peeps watched spongebob and somehow saw him as a dateable entity?#like spongebob is just sponge bob#the fanfiction that made me give bebe actual thought was a bowser x reader#where reader character was peach's sister#but i liked the idea more of peach's unknown sister that runs the underground part of the kingdom#bebe has evolved from street rat crime child thatll hit ya with a big hammer for candy#to a princess character#to bobo the ruler of an underground mushroom kingdom#essentially i guess twisted wonderland bobo is a twisted form of princess peach but not really since shes not like princess peach#but i have the cursed idea running in my head that she could be seen like that if i admit about the bowser x reader fanfiction#it was actually interesting fanfiction to me and society tells me to be embarrassed so i am#i would love a spinoff mario game where walugi is the main character and he ends up in a secret underground mushroom kingdom#this kingdom being like the secret actual running government of the mushroom kingdom or something like that#and to be a foil to princess peach and princess daisy the princess of this kingdom is short#rude and easily angered too#supposedly peach and daisy where going to have opposites like how mario has wario but they decided they didnt want to give everyone opposit#bobo the clown haunts me#if you seriously read all the tags then please dont ask what fanfictions ive looked up#im still horribly disappointed by the lack of haskill x reader that man is amazing#haskill as in the oblivion dlc average office worker man#he just like larry from pokemon crimson and violet

I had an idea for a headcannon. What if Princess Peach and Princess Daisy decide to have a double date by each bringing a date and Peach brings King Boo while Daisy brings Bowser? Also peach and daisy discover that Bowser and King Boo were old friends but fell out of touch. I think it would be interesting to see opposite combos on a date along with the fact that they would both be considered rare ships. Just a idea😁
That sounds wonderful! I may not be a Daisy X Bowser person myself, but I really like this idea. Daisy and Bowser, two extroverted and "loud" characters would probably make the date quite interesting. 😂 Poor Peach and King Boo would be overwhelmed by the end of it all.The friendship between Bowser and King Boo would be something to think about as well. Normally I portray them as enemies or rivals, but to see them getting along would be something new, at least for my fics. I've read other fanfics where they team up so a friendship between the two wouldn't be surprising as they both have some things in common. Thanks for sharing! :D
#thanks for the ask#kippea#princess peach x king boo#princess peach#king boo#princess daisy#bowser#daisy x bowser#i dunno the ship name for those two#super mario#i kinda see bowser and king boo as 'foil' characters to each other#bowser is more of a strong and 'out there' villain who doesn't hesitate#while king boo is more calculating and cunning#but they'd be similar to peach and daisy's friendship#ask#paninigirl14

A look at this black yet popular sheep and if he could be a possible person for Smash.
So who is Waluigi? Well, he’s Luigi’s version of Wario. And to Wario he is his... Brother? Cousin? Lover? Stranger he kidnapped that one time? Yeah, there isn’t a lot known about Waluigi. He just showed up to a Tennis Match one day and has been seen in every spin-off since. But despite that, there are a ton of people who enjoy him and wish to see him in Smash. Some of them taking things too far and harassing Sakurai.
So why is it that someone as popular as Waluigi still hasn’t gotten in and someone like Daisy did? Let’s look at some of the reasons why people think he should be in it and see if their argument is strong or not.
Personality
Let’s start off by comparing his to Princess Daisy. According to the Wiki, Daisy’s personality is the following:
Daisy is portrayed as a tomboy with an extroverted personality and tough demeanor. She can be described as energetic, loud, cheerful, and confident. She also has a sassy side, often regarded for her wittiness and attitude. She likes to go shopping and dine at fine restaurants, but gladly passes up such enjoyments to train instead. Daisy has claimed to have bad luck and timing. She is shown to be impulsive and excitable, eager to take on big challenges and try new things. Daisy is shown to be domineering and direct to others. Also shows she's not above pitching a fit or forcing others to pay up. And she is a bit vain regarding her appearance.
A lot of this makes sense. Many Tomboy Characters (like Rainbow Dash) share a lot of traits here.extrovert, tough, sassy, energetic, confident, etc. Now let’s compare this to Waluigi’s Personality.
Waluigi is personified as a comic relief character and a boastful, ill-tempered foil to Luigi. He is openly rude and mean-spirited troublemaker. He often displays very poor sportsmanship, being quick to taunt his opponents and cheer for himself, while at the same time showing open resentment for any progress made by his opponents. His victory celebrations often highlight his self-aggrandizing nature and vanity, and occasionally contain vulgar elements as well. Waluigi is also characterized by the great amount of self-pity he displays at other times.
Well, he is boastful and Ill-tempered. And he has shown to taunt his opponents while cheer for himself. But you could say the same thing for all the other characters in those games. He is rude and is a troublemaker, but so is Wario. And he is vain, but once again everyone shouting “I’m #1″ or “I’m the Superstar” also makes them sound vain. Waluigi doesn’t really have a personality that screams “This is Waluigi”.
Powers
Of course, other characters don’t have unique personalities to each other. But a unique power set could increase their chance. So once again, let’s compare Daisy’s Powers...
Able to jump in midair in Super Mario Run. Most of Princess Daisy's abilities and powers use some sort of flower-related effect, either as a visual side-effect or an active part of the technique. These often take the form of making petals appear. Mario Strikers Charged, she is uniquely associated with crystal summoning abilities.
This is why she was so easy to put as a clone. Change a few effects and boom. The Crystal Summoning is a one time ability and has not shown elsewhere. Now let’s see Waluigi’s...
Spinning to make a small tornado, creating thorny vines, and swimming in midair. Waluigi can distort his body into the shape of his emblem. He also demonstrates to be capable of teleporting in purple puffs of smoke. In Mario And Sonic At The London 2012 Olympic Games, Waluigi displays the ability to use his "Γ" symbol as an energy projectile. Alongside the power to mask the Whiskered Eggplant as a baseball, Waluigi, in Mario Super Sluggers displays powers with magical and tricky natures.
So in Strikers Charged, he can create vines. Mario and Sonic has him shooting projectile Ls. Power Tennis and Hoops creating a tornado. And in Power Tennis and Hoops swims in the air. There are at least two games that share abilities but overall he really doesn’t have a theme. No one trait that reflects his personality. On the plus side, he has variety.
Representation
A lot of people who say Waluigi should be in is because he would represent all the Mario Spin Off Games. Some even created move lists based on that idea. In fact, those spin offs sold better than Smash Brothers or even main Mario games. So who else could represent those games better than anyone else?
Well, there’s Daisy who also appeared in a lot of them. Even more than Waluigi. There’s Toad, who is there even more. Bowser is always included. Peach, Luigi, Wario since they are usuals. Mario since he’s the title of the games. Yeah, the real Core of the Mario Franchise can (and a few does) represent the spin offs. Peach for example has a ton sports equipment for her Forward Smash and Mario now has his break dance move from the DDR game.
Conclusion
To be a Smash character, the character has to represent themselves or their franchise. With Mario, Link, Kirby and Samus for example, everything they do in Smash represents their roles in their games well. Others like Wii Fit Trainer, Villager, and Ness represent their franchise through their moves. Duck Hunt Dog and ROB represent their importance to Nintendo’s history while Fox and Capt. Falcon represent their franchise through their attributes (Capt being the fastest before Sonic since F-Zero is fast for example).
Waluigi just can’t do any of these things. Heck, someone made a video about the Top 3 Games Waluigi played an important role and #1 was a fan game. Heck, Toad (who is a much more important character) had no chance of being in Smash until Capt. Toad became a thing. And Rosalina made nine game appearances before being included in Smash Brothers. The fact Daisy got in as an Echo Fighter after Rosalina was essentially throwing a bone to the Daisy fans.
Why Waluigi is popular is a mystery. Some think it is because of his Meme factor. Others believe since he is basically a blank canvas that creativity is wide for them. But if it is truly that second one, that just proves he can’t be in Smash. Because in the end, Smash Waluigi won’t be your Waluigi.

oh my gosh how serendipitous, ive been trying to comb the internet for swimsuit costuming help for a princess daisy and princess peach cosplay for a water park convention next month!!! i cant seem to find anything actually decent or understandable, & im kind of a dummy, so would a swimsuit question fall under stretch knits? or is spandex or lycra a whole nother ballgame? :0 im rly bad abt making costumes with the right materials but im trying to get better.... eek! thanks in advance for any help
Hello there!
Glad this week’s theme is useful to you!
Swimsuits are usually made of stretch knits, yes. I will use this opportunity to talk a little bit about choosing fabrics for bodysuits and similar garments, since that seems like it would be most helpful to you.
Stretch fabrics come in two basic forms -- 2-way and 4-way. 2-way stretch means that it stretches either side to side or up and down, but not both. 4-way stretch means that it stretches both side to side AND up and down, though one of these directions may have less stretch than the other. (To make things extra confusing, some places call what I’m calling 2-way stretch “1-way stretch” and what I’m calling 4-way stretch “2-way stretch,” so always double check that the fabric has the stretch you need.) For something like a bodysuit, which goes around the body in multiple directions (around the torso horizontally, as well as around the torso vertically, or in other words, around the waist and around the area from crotch to shoulder), 4-way stretch is best because it will more easily move with you. I’m assuming that since you are wearing this to a water park (Colossalcon?), you will be actually swimming in it, so 4-way stretch is vital.
When doing most bodysuits, the direction of greatest stretch should be around the body horizontally, to allow for greatest fit. However, when doing a gymnastics leotard, you will want to have the greatest stretch up and down the body, so that there is greater freedom of movement. For a swimsuit, I would recommend having the greatest stretch around the body horizontally.
When looking at bodysuit fabrics, there are two major factors to keep in mind -- stretch and recovery. Stretch refers to how much the fabric expands when you tug on it, and is measured in percent -- if it stretches 15%, it becomes 15% larger than the relaxed fabric, if it stretches 50%, it becomes 50% larger (so if you have a 5″ piece, it becomes 7.5″), and if it stretches 100%, it doubles in size (so if you have a 5″ piece, it stretches to 10″). For a bodysuit, you generally want stretch above 50% at bare minimum, and stretch above 75% is best. Recovery is also very important, and a bit harder to measure objectively. This can only be tested through observation and experience. When you stretch the fabric and let go, how quickly does it snap back to its original size and shape? Does it stay somewhat stretched-out looking, or does it go right back as if nothing happened? Something like a T-shirt and many light rib knits have lower recovery, making them unsuitable for bodysuits because they will eventually sag, and performance knits meant for bodysuits, leotards, and swimwear will have high recovery, so that they conform to the body. Increased spandex content increases the recovery of a fabric.
Most performancewear fabrics are made of a synthetic like nylon mixed with spandex. Lycra is the brand name of spandex, and elastane is another name for spandex (often used outside the US). These are all the same fiber type. When people talk about making a costume out of “spandex,” what they mean is using a knit fabric with a high spandex content, typically one that is opaque or otherwise solid, with a smooth finish, and a high amount of stretch and recovery. You will often run into “regular” spandex, which is usually raschel-knit, a process that allows for a great amount of stretch, as well as materials such as milliskin, moleskin, and other, more speciality fabrics under the same “spandex” umbrella (satin spandex, some wicking knits, mystique spandex that has a coating of tiny metallic dots for a shiny effect, wet-look spandex, etc.). These may all have slightly different properties, depending on knitting process, fiber and needle size, and fiber content, so it is always best to get a swatch and test the material yourself if you can.
For a swimsuit, you are likely going to want to line it. “Swimsuit lining” fabric is usually a lightweight tricot knit (tricot is a different knitting process that creates fine wales on one side) in various neutral colors and a small range of skin tones. This is usually used in the crotch and sometimes bust of the swimsuit. Various 4-way stretch meshes are also used as a lining, and something like a light or medium powernet (powermesh, girdle fabric) used as a full liner can help create some light shaping properties. A heavier tricot knit can be used as the outside material.
With anything that is going to be used as swimwear, be sure to test it in both water and chlorine ahead of time, if you can. Some fabrics will become faded or damaged by pool water, and that’s not something you want. (Materials with a metallic foil coating will often fade quite fast, for example.)
For your purposes, I would recommend looking at either a heavier tricot knit or a “regular” spandex. Either one would work well for a swimsuit. Be sure to get a good pattern so that you have the correct amount of ease (likely negative ease) and that you get the proper notions (swimwear elastic is a big one here).
Good luck! I hope that helps :]

Unused Mario and Bowser: Frenemies Forever 27
Unused Mario and Bowser 27
Chapter 27
Author note: Would have been in the place of what is actually Chapter 26. Mario, instead of Kylie would have done some recapping and reflection before the race which is part of the actual story’s Chapter 26: More Karting With Bowser (The End?). I thought about it for a while and eventually the whole thing was done over with more emphasis on Kylie and her ‘detectives, spies, and plumbers’ tieing any loose ends. This version, while introspective just went on too slow. Enjoy!
8.00 am.
Mario slung his arm on the clock to end it’s torturous alarm. What day was it, he thought? Oh yeah, the of the next Mario Kart... He finally leaned up, feeling like an invisible weight was pushing him back in bed, and his covers became ever more inviting all over again. It had been an exhausting week after finding the cure, and now it had caught up to the seasoned hero. He gently sunk back down, on the verge of visiting Subcon again….
...Someone tall and slender crept through the bedroom door, holding a bowl of some steaming hot substance. With the other hand, he flicked on the light switch without hesitation. “Hey bro, you're up?!”
Mario yawned as he squinted to see his younger brother. Luigi was fully dressed and smirking for some reason. “Say, I didn't get hit by the Mushroom Bus last night, did I?” Mario mumbled.
“Umm...no? That’s what you get for staying up all night with Peach!”
Mario jolted up. “Luigi?! We were in a MEETING!”
Luigi flushed. “Did I say otherwise, bro? Either way, I got a good night's rest and you didn’t!”
Mario hopped out of bed. “Please, don’t act like I wanted to only get one measly hour of sleep. Besides, you didn’t come home with me and last I heard, you were with Boo. What’s with that, little brother?”
Luigi dashed out of the room. “Not telling!’
Mario sat back down on the edge of the bed. “You win this time, Weegee…”
Rejuvenated by….whatever that was, Mario did his habitual morning stretches. Passing by the kitchen to go the the bathroom, he noticed Luigi at the table and the enticing smell of apple flavored oatmeal. Weird, he thought. Luigi said they were out of the oatmeal yesterday, or maybe he said that to keep him from eating it all, as Luigi often did when he didn’t want Mario eating up food in the house before their ‘shopping day’. “You got me again…” Mario mused.
Luigi looked up. “Huh?”
“Nothing…”
Next it was time for shower, shave, fix breakfast. Just for himself, rather. Mario found it weird not be the first person up, but in all fairness it had been a busier week for him than Luigi. After delivering the cure to the Toadley Clinic, things progressed even faster than the two days before. The cure was rushed to Mushroom Kingdom Hospital East by Dr. Toadley’s associates and by the next morning, everyone had the cure. Toad and Daisy recovered just fine despite being the worse cases and they were back in their respective castles two days later. Toad was lively as usual, but when no one heard from Daisy, it was assumed she was making a quiet recovery, especially since calls to her phone went straight to voicemail. Imagine their surprise when they found out that she’d been practicing non stop for the next tennis game. Her weary but relieved father spilled the beans once Peach got her own father to check up on the neighboring Sarasland. A direct quote from her was, “The next time I face Mario and Bowser, they’re going down!!” Reportedly, even Bowser shuddered at the thought.
Back on a serious note, Peach allowed Bowser make a new “message” briefly explaining that he was NOT the cause of the Mushroom Flu but that he was definitely still their number one nightmare and would be definitely be ruling the kingdom in the next decade or so. The general public were not surprised.
Other than that, Mario had to spend long meetings with Peach other officials discussing legal matters, criminal activity, and ways to prevent such a thing from happening again in the oft used castle courtroom. Larry Koopa was an unexpected (to Mario) guest, representing Bowser’s household as the public face of Koopa relations. Mario could definitely sympathize with him, as they were both kind of hanging around for arbitrary reasons. Larry’s cool and casual attitude didn't stop him from being helpful however. Since he was one of the few ranking members of Bowser’s Castle who never came under complete control of Z, he had a lot to reveal, though never enough to satisfy everyone. Everyone knew the culprit was Zoo Diddley, but since he’d disappeared it seemed that parts of the conspiracy would never be revealed, not that every local paper and news station didn't try to decode it anyway.
Mario also had to survive countless interviews once details of his adventure were leaked. Before long, the public had heard it all, even parts of his adventure that didn’t happen in public eye!
Maio finally set down at the kitchen table with a plate of bacon and eggs in hand as he dwelled on something. Wasn’t there someone at the hospital who telepathically communicated with Z? What if they just hired him?
Luigi got up and placed his empty bowl in the sink. “I have an uh...appointment. I’ll meet you at the track bro!”
Mario squinted at the tiny digital clock on the microwave. “But the race isn't until-” Luigi was off before Mario could say another word.
Now alone, Mario checked his cellphone to see a text message from the Koopa King himself, dated that morning..
“You’ll be dead meat at the race, plumber!!! (Followed by a ridiculous amount of ‘evil’ emojis such as skulls, devils, fire, and... clowns?)” Mario smiled weakly, the threat bringing back a warm sense of familiarity. Going through his contacts, he caught an idea. After a moment Peach answered the phone, and the two spoke for a while, sounding equally groggy.
“Yes. That's a great idea!” Peach spoke, livening up. “I'll tell him, and please come over this morning. Some people would like to speak to you before the race today.”
“Oh sure... Princess,” Mario answered. He just hoped he wasn't going to get rushed by reporters for the twentieth time that week.
………………….
At 10 am, Mario pulled up to Peach’s Castle on his Mach Bike. The entire area was quiet, no yard workers even in site. Alagold was yet again on the front porch with the Nintendo DS playing teenaged ‘guard’ not far behind.
“Hey buddy,” Mario greeted slyly, “are they gone?”
Alagold shrugged as he approached the motored bike. “Who?”
“Eh, nevermind. Guess I was paranoid over nothing. Who wanted to see me?”
“Oh that...Nobody!” Alagold chuckled. “Peach just wanted to get you over here for another cake. I can’t believe you fell for it!...”
Once inside, Mario saw that his yellow capped friend was right and everything was normal inside Peach’s prestigious abode. His boots squeaked on the shiny floors and there was no dust on any of her decor, opposite of the dilapidated appearance from a week ago. Mario followed an enticing smell to the dining room were yet another cake awaited him on the long table. This one had white icing with light blue details, but Mario noticed something interesting. One might even say unusual. Something Peach would never do...
Bake a normal sized cake!
“Teehee, Mario! Over here!!” Peach called from behind it.
“This cake talks again,” Mario replied teasingly, even though he could clearly see her.
“Mario! Get over here!” she replied in kind.
Mario stopped in his tracks as he had an epiphany. Why recreate that morning?
Peach frowned. “What’s wrong, Mario? We have a busy week and now my presence palls you?”
“Of course not! I haven't rested well lately and then you call me here and do...this…” Mario sat down next to her.
“The cake? You know how often I bake my cakes,” Peach said with a hint of self awareness. Her radio started buzzing but she ignored it.
“But why a normal cake?”
Peach neatly cut herself a slice, revealing the chocolate inside with white cream filling. “I can't bake a petite version of my world famous, hand made cakes?”
“No…” Mario crossed his arms. “Besides, didn't you admit to following an old recipe?”
Peach swept her hair back and glanced away, as if a plan of hers had been foiled by whatever Mario said. “Okay fine. I didn't have time for a giant one. I do have to prepare for the race after all..”
“Now that I believe,” Mario chuckled, finally grabbing a slice for himself. “Don't ever get job where you have or lie, like a used kart salesman. Or a buffet waitress...”
Peach rolled her eyes. “Same for you, Mario… Wait, waitresses lie?”
Mario swallowed another mouthful of cake. “Mm hmm, or the buffet ones at least. They'll say I've been through the buffet line five times when I know it's only been four!”
Peach giggled before covering her mouth in a discreet princess like fashion. Mario was tickled by her prissy ways and joined her, their laughter echoing in the room before the doors abruptly swung open.
A green capped Toad in a dark blue business suit got pushed in with Buckenberry and Toadette close behind. Buckenberry looked normal but Toadette was dressed up in a burgundy colored dress suit. They followed the green Toad, who strolled casually closer to Peach and Mario, even idly swinging his small briefcase as he took in the sights of the castle dining room.
“Princess, you didn't answer your radio! This is the guy that just marched right in here!” Buckenberry barked.
Toadette nodded, trying to keep up in her matching burgundy high heels she clearly had little experience with. “Yeah, and he claims to be ‘important’!”
“This is Mr. Mitch Toadstool, who helped chase Z from the hospital a week ago. Don’t you remember, dears?” Peach reminded them gently.
“Rrrright...” Mario droned. “Well what’s he doing here?”
“It was your idea, silly! He’s going to be one of our new guiance counselors since he can detect extrasensory disturbances! Oh, and I just love his Mushroom Enquirer magazine!”
“Yeah, what the Princess said,” Mitch finally spoke, his voice deeper and raspier than what one would expect from a Toad.
Mario gave the dapper gentleman a once over again. He could understand the swooning, or was that jealousy, from everyone? “Oh yeah. Pleased to have you at the castle. Emery told me all about uh, whatever happened on the roof. Welcome aboard.” Mario got up and held out his hand.
Mitch shook it firmly. “Thanks, hotshot. I’ll root for you at the race, from the comfort of my jacuzzi that is. You have that here, right?”
“No!” Buckenberry answered.
Mitch helped himself to a slice of cake that was pre cut on a plate. Behind it was a plaque labeled “Toadsworth”. “Fine fine. Say, great cake you got here!”
“Hey that slice is reserved for-”
Peach cut Toadette off. “Thank you, tee hee! And maybe we should add a jacuzzi, hmm…”
Toadette and Buckenberry’s jaws dropped to the ground.
Mario picked up his own slice to go, seeing how this was about it get ugly. “See you later guys.” Mario left the dining room, no one even noticing his departure. As he was leaving, he saw Toad waiting around near the entrance wearing a red fancy looking tie.
“There you are!” greeted Toad.
“Hey. You’re racing too, right?”
Toad nodded. “And I’m coming with you because we need to talk,” Toad said in a more serious manner.
The smile dropped from Mario’s face. “Uh, okay..”
Toad lightly punched his shoulder. “Lighten up, I don’t mean like that. I just want to get caught up a on a few things. Like, we've barely even spoke in the past week!”
“Okay, but I was heading to the Kart garage.”
“Well you wouldn't mind giving an old pal a lift, right?”
Mario smiled. “Fine, but next time I’m charging! By the way, what’s with that tie?”
Toad rubbed the silky dress accessory between his fingers as they left the castle. “This stupid thing? Mr. Toadsworth convinced Peach to change some policies and so now castle advisors and management have to ‘dress up’.” He unloosened it from his neck and instead tied it around his head like a bandana. “But screw that! We’re off duty during a Mario Kart, right? Oh, neat. You brought the Mach Bike!” Toad ran up to the parked bike, leaving behind Mario on the bridge over the moat. By the time Mario had reached it, Toad was already in the passenger side cart making playful engine noises.
“What would we do without ya, Toad?”
