Mu Qing ascending is objectively so funny considering Feng Xin and Xie Lian also do. Out of the people in your kingdom who accomplished immortality there’s this guy who used to be your servant but is now on equal rank to you and he‘s super rude now and also thinks you hate him because he remembers when you were 18 and lacked socioeconomic-interpersonal awareness

#he doesn’t even hold the ignorance against you. you hold it against him though #list of people who ascended from Xianle: the crown prince and his noble bodyguard. also the prince’s attendent who came from poverty #like mu qing only got to cultivate because of a very specific set of circumstances but like he did it very successfully #it’s hilarious #by all rights he worked harder than them both but he sure got there #also you see him as super rude and mean now while the people of his region keep insisting he’s kind gentle and refined etc.#Feng Xin looks at Mu Qing as if they were in the same boat and Xie Lian looks at Mu Qing like they were in the same boat #and Mu Qing is there doing their chores on top of studying and training and caring for his mother looking at their idealistic nonsense #with many question marks #Xie Lian and Feng Xin: our past friend Mu Qing #Mu Qing: ah yes. my employer. who I would like to befriend but unfortunately I have dignity.#tgcf #like sorry not everyone has the awareness or priorities or ideas another who grew up poor might smh #also he has like a ridiculously impeccable memory so like. yea he DOES remember when you were 18. in vivid detail.#he used to prepare your clothes so has your whole cultural fashion line embedded into his head forever. including the jewelry #imagine being 800 years old and the guy that used to steam your clothes every morning and fold them every night lives next door #isn't that so embarrassing #that guy remembers EVERYTHING too #you don't remember that stuff but HE DOES?????

#text #nova shh #arcane #arcane s2 #arcane spoilers #isha lol #arcane meta #music #crying aside i'm REALLY fascinated with the choice to make the song in mandarin #my mandarin isn't personally good enough to understand most of the poetic nuances of the song but #the melody and instrumentation and vocals are Impeccably expressive. i know what this song is about even if i don't know the words.#i don't love the take that a foreign language is being used as a metaphor for someone being nonverbal but #i do think it's smth adjacent. it's not a representation of being nonverbal but rather a very real communication barrier #and yet for the things that really matter at the end of all things - the feeling the loyalty the love - i understand it perfectly #just as isha is understood perfectly by jinx through physicality and mannerism and action. we perceive a barrier where there is none #and there's something to be said about the innate affinity we have for the human voice in deep emotional expression #as someone who dearly loves instrumental/orchestral music i know this to be true. the song would not have the same impact without vocals #thinking about the nier soundtracks too.#anyway. i'm crying for real for real idk what just came over me

okayy, i love this 👀 (honestly surpirsed i haven't actually written mpreg or a/b/o type things, though it's on my Vaguely in the Future List)

i could see this coinciding with jason in a curious way. even though he's not technically part wolf, it's kind of a given he'd have wolf-like behaviors. i'd be curious if these same moon cycles inspire a heat within him (or would it be a rutt? for as much abo as i've read sometimes i get the terms confused). it would be the worst coincidence if the time that jason needs percy most is the time he can't have him due to such a high pregnancy risk.

ofc, when given something tempting & forbidden, the question is who would break first?

you have jason, who continually wants to break out of that box of leadership, who wants to be gentle & take care of percy during these lunar cycles. he wants to respect percy's wishes, because in what world would they be ready for a child? at the same time, though, his mind is screaming at him about how good percy looks (& would look while pregnant 👀), how he needs to mate, etc.

then you have percy, who was always a rule-breaker, though he is serious about the uncertainty of kids. he wants to be responsible in this, to not tie jason down (despite jason being ready to Pop The Question & Die for him at a moment's notice lmao). still, his brain is barraging him with thoughts of what a good dad jason would be, of how much he needs jason to breed him Like Yesterday

ultimately, i think it'd be fun to see like a cat-&-mouse, will-they-won't-they of "i wanna respect your decision but also i'm gonna lose my mind if i can't have you right now" situation on both ends. it would probably end with percy seducing jason ("seducing" being as tame as wearing shorts & eating a popsicle around him tbh, these guys don't take much lmao) before jason is bending percy over the nearest available surface to finally give in, pregnancy or otherwise.

Thinking about q!cellbit messaging his husband 'te amo' less than seconds before the nuke exploded. The only reassurance he could give him as the sky turned a bright white. He even fumbled entering his name in the communicator a few times before he successfully sent it, his trembling hands being the only giveaway of his fears towards his presumed final moments.

And how all q!roier could desperately ask was "where are you", before he had just enough time to register the true impact of the statement, with the horrid reality setting in that cellbit wasn't going to make it.
