LEE HEESEUNG WASNâT THE KIND OF BOYFRIEND ANYONE HAD EXPECTED YOU TO HAVE.
everyone in school knew his reputationâhe was the typical bad boy, sharp edges and icy stares, with a cigarette often hanging loosely from his lips and tattoos decorating his forearms.
people moved out of his way when he walked down the hall, not wanting to catch his eye.
he was feared, whispered about, and avoided.
but you? you on the other hand were the complete oppositeâshy, quiet, and sweet.
it was no secret that you were heeseungâs girlfriend, and because of that, no one dared to mess with you.
until today, unfortunately.
it was just an average day, a regular lunch break, or at least it had started that way.
you were sitting at your usual table with a couple of friends, eating and listening to the chatter around you.
heeseung wasnât with youâhe rarely was during lunch.
he liked to spend that time outside, usually skipping or hanging with his own friends, giving you space but always watching from a distance. âââ đđđđ đđđđđ đđđ đđđ .áă
¤
you knew he was never farâyou always felt safe, knowing he was around.
but today, something felt very off.
a new student had recently transferred to your schoolâminho, a cocky, obnoxious guy who had quickly earned a reputation for being a jerk.
he had a habit of making everyone around him uncomfortable, especially girlsâand today, he had his eyes set on you.
you were sitting quietly, your head down as you picked at your food, when you noticed him walking toward your table.
your stomach twisted, a sinking feeling settling in as he slid into the seat beside you without asking.
you immediately tensed, your fingers tightening around your fork.
âhey, youâre that quiet girl, right?â minhoâs voice was bold, dripping with arrogance as he leaned in too close, invading your personal space.
âlee heeseungâs girl, right? i donât see what he sees in you.â
your heart sped up, panic rising in your chest as you shifted uncomfortably in your seat.
âuh, iâmââ you stammered, trying to inch away from him, but he only moved closer, his knee bumping against yours.
âi donât get it,â minho continued, completely ignoring the way you were clearly uncomfortable.
âyouâre way too shy, too⌠delicate for someone like him. maybe you need someone who knows how to treat you better.â
your friend, sitting across from you, shot minho a warning glare. âsheâs not interested asshole. back off.â
but minho didnât seem to careâhe laughed, the sound grating on your nerves.
âwhy donât you let her speak for herself, huh?â he turned his gaze back to you, his eyes dark with something that made your skin crawl.
âwhat do you say, sweetheart? how about you ditch that psycho boyfriend of yours and hang out with a real man?â
your hands started to shake, your throat tightening as you tried to find your voice. âplease just leave⌠iâm notââ
before you could finish, minho leaned in even closer, his breath hot against your ear as he whispered something vile, something so inappropriate that your entire body went rigid with shock.
and thatâs when you heard itâfootstepsâheavy, deliberate footsteps approaching fast.
you didnât even have time to turn before you saw heeseung, his expression dark and dangerous as he grabbed minho by the collar and pulled him out of his seat.
the entire cafeteria seemed to go silent.
everyone knew heeseung had a temper, but theyâd rarely seen him like this.
âsay that again,â heeseung growled, his voice low and menacing as he lifted minho off the ground, his fist clenched tightly around the front of minhoâs shirt. âi dare you.â
minhoâs painted on act faded instantly.
his cocky smirk disappeared as he realized just how serious heeseung was, but instead of backing down, he chucked.
âwhatâs the matter, heeseung? canât handle someone else talking to your girl? she doesnât seem to mindââ
that was all it took.
before you could even process what was happening, heeseungâs fist connected with minhoâs face.
the sound of the punch echoed through the cafeteria, and you gasped, your heart leaping into your throat.
heeseung hit him again, and again, and again, his knuckles splitting open from the force of the impact.
minho didnât even have time to fight backâhe was already dazed, blood trickling from his nose and mouth as heeseung knocked him to the ground.
âheeseung, stop!â you cried out, panic rising in your chest as you watched the scene unfold in desperation.
but he didnât hear youâhe was lost in his anger, his eyes dark and wild as he prepared to throw another punch.
you scrambled to your feet, rushing toward him, your hands shaking as you reached out and grabbed his arm.
âplease, heeseung, stop! heâs doneâ see!â your voice cracked as tears filled your eyes, your heart pounding painfully in your chest.
for a moment, heeseung didnât move, his fist still clenched, ready to strike again.
but then you did the only thing you could think ofâyou wrapped your arms around him from behind, pulling him into a desperate back hug.
âheeseung, please,â you whispered, your voice trembling as tears streamed down your cheeks. âstop. itâs over. please.â
something shifted in him thenâyou could feel it.
the tension in his muscles slowly began to release, his clenched fist relaxing as your words broke through the haze of his anger.
he took a deep, shuddering breath, his body still shaking as he dropped his arm to his side.
you didnât let go, your face buried against his back as you tried to calm your own racing heart.
heeseung turned slightly, his breath ragged as he finally looked down at minhoâalmost unconscious and a bloodied broken nose on the ground.
a flicker of regret crossed his face, but it was quickly masked by his usual hardened expression.
he turned toward you then, his eyes softening as he saw your tear-streaked face.
without saying a word, he took your hand and led you out of the cafeteria filled with whispers and cameras pointed at you, his grip firm but gentle as he guided you to his car in the parking lot.
the moment you were both inside, he reached over and pulled you into his lap, wrapping his arms around you tightly as you cried against his chest.
âiâm sorry,â he whispered, his voice hoarse as he pressed his lips to the top of your head. âiâm so sorry. i didnât mean to scare you.â
you shook your head, still trembling as you clung to him. âi was just so scared⌠i thought you wouldnât stop.â
heeseung sighed, his hand rubbing soothing circles on your back as he held you close.
âi know, baby. i get like that sometimes⌠when iâm angry, i just⌠i lose control.â
his voice was thick with emotion, his usual care free aura gone as he spoke to you softly, like he was afraid of breaking you.
âbut iâll get help, okay? i donât want to be like that around you. i promise iâll do better.â
you pulled back slightly, wiping at your eyes with the back of your hand as you looked up at him.
âi just donât want you to hurt yourself⌠or anyone else. iâm grateful you stood up for me, but⌠you canât let yourself get lost in your anger like that.â
heeseung nodded, his eyes full of guilt as he reached up to brush a strand of hair behind your ear. âi know, and iâll try. for you.â
you finally let out a small, shaky laugh, and heeseung smiled softly, relief washing over him as he heard the sound.
âthereâs my pretty girl,â he said, his voice warm as he leaned in to press a gentle kiss to your forehead.
his hands were still shaking slightly as he cupped your face, but the worst of the storm had passed.
you glanced down at his knuckles then, your heart sinking as you saw the cuts and bruises painting his skin. âheeseung⌠your hands.â
without thinking, you gently took one of his hands in yours, lifting it to your lips and pressing soft kisses to the torn skin.
he watched you with a mix of awe and affection, his chest tightening at the sight of you caring for him so sweetly.
âyou didnât have to do that,â you whispered, looking up at him through your lashes as you kissed the back of his hand again. âbut thank you.â
heeseung smiled, his expression softening as he leaned down to kiss youâslow and softly, his lips moving gently against yours.
when he pulled back, he rested his forehead against yours, his breath mingling with yours as he whispered, âiâd do anything for you.â
you smiled back at him, the tension in your chest finally easing as you realized that despite everything, he wasnât the monster everyone thought he was.
he was just⌠heeseungârough around the edges, for sure not perfect, but always protective, always caring when it came to you.
âjust⌠try not to knock anyone out next time, okay?â you teased lightly, the corners of your mouth lifting into a small smile.
heeseung chuckled softly, the sound low and soothing as he kissed the tip of your nose.
âiâll do my best, but no promises,â he said, his tone playful now. âespecially if some asshole tries to mess with my girl.â
you rolled your eyes, laughing despite yourself âyouâre impossible, lee heeseung.â
âand you love me for it.â
you couldnât argue with that.

loml - a Spencer Reid one shot
pairing: Spencer Reid x former BAU!fem!reader (no use of y/n)
word count: ~15k (this one's a beast whoops)
You left behind the BAU years ago and have been working as the captain of the police force in small town Montana when a string of murder-suicides catch your attention and you start looking into them. The BAU is called in and you become overwhelmed by feelings surrounding your ex-boyfriend Spencer Reid as you attempt to investigate this case and clear the air between the two of you.
content: canon-level violence, blood, swearing, anxiety, idiots in love
now playing: loml by taylor swift
not my gif, dividers by @firefly-graphics, and once again shoutout to my bestie @westernbitch for helping to come up with case details for this one!
A sharp knock broke the silence of your office and you looked up to see one of your reporting officers at the door with a look on her face that told you something terrible happened. âWhat's going on, Kate?â you asked, placing the file you were holding down onto the desk to give her your full attention.Â
She sat down in the chair across from you and taking a shaky breath, she whispered, âThereâs been another murder-suicide⌠It was Natasha and HaydenâŚâÂ
âOh my God Iâm so sorry, is there anything I can do for you or your family right now?â you asked, getting up and making your way around the desk to give the younger officer a hug.Â
Kateâs sister and her boyfriend had taken off nearly two months ago for their freshman year at UCLA and werenât due back until Thanksgiving. Maybe the pair didnât agree on their majors like they originally decided or got spooked by the big life changes and decided that this was the best course of action. He did have a history of prior juvenile battery charges⌠Nonetheless it just wasnât sitting right with you⌠Not after two other murder-suicides within the last four months. So after sending Kate home to be with her parents and remaining sibling, you went to investigate the crime scene.Â
When you got back and had some time to do some thinking, you called one of your detectives into the office. âYou wanted to see me?â came his voice as he stepped into the office a few minutes later.Â
You stopped your fast-paced writing of theories to offer a polite smile as he sat down across from you after closing the office door. âI wanna see if you can connect the same dots that I am, Josh.â
âOkay, shoot,â he says, leaning forward with an eager smile. Josh had joined your squad a few months ago as a rookie detective and he was always ready to look into anything that came across your desk.Â
âSix months ago the Fenways went away to mourn his cousinâs death in Florida. Then before anyone even knew they were back home, they both turn up dead in what was ruled a murder-suicide,â you started, tapping your pen along the paper sitting on the desk in front of you. âThen the Greenwoods turned up in the same situation a couple months later after going away on an Alaskan cruise.â
âMaybe that was the breaking point for both men. Everyone knew their marriages were on the rocks for months before that happened,â Josh said in a contemplative voice as he leaned back into his chair. âLosing a relative and driving all the way down to Florida and back could have caused some tension that made him snap. Same with being stuck on a boat for a few weeks. I heard they werenât allowed to dock and were stranded on board for a week or so because of a conservationist protest. That would make anyoneâs temper short.â
âThatâs what I thought too,â you agreed. âHowever, Natasha Quinn and Hayden Welkins just turned up dead in another apparent murder-suicide.â
âNo way!â Josh said, his eyes widening in shock at the news. He ran a hand over his chin and asked, âIs Kate okay?â
âSheâs at home mourning with her family. Sheâll be off for the next few days but Iâm taking her off of this investigation,â you replied.Â
âInvestigation? Why is it a-?â he said, but then paused in the middle of his sentence. âWait, you think thereâs someone behind this, donât you?â
âThat I do,â you affirmed with a nod. âOne was a tragedy, two could be a coincidence, but three? I think someoneâs behind this. It could be someone manipulating them into killing.â You looked at the pictures of the dead bodies in the file you began creating and sighed. You scrunched your eyebrows together and shook your head as you said, âThereâs so far been no signs of physical torture on the victims. They were all found days post-mortem in wooded areas off of trails though, so their bodies were worse for wear so we canât exactly rule it out. Even then, psychological torture is a viable option.â
âSo maybe the trips away werenât even real⌠Maybe whoever is doing this created fake letters to send to all of the victims to make everyone in town aware that they would be gone so suspicion wasnât raisedâŚâ Josh said as dots began to connect in his mind. âAnd as much as I hate to say this, Natasha and Hayden may have been a crime of opportunity. They could have been driving home exhausted when something happened and they were grabbed.â
A proud smile made its way onto your face at his theory and you nodded, telling him, âExactly what I was thinking. Whoever this unsub is is getting sloppy and weâre going to get to the bottom of it.â
âW-wait, us? You want me on this?â
âAs a rookie detective you just deduced what I did as a former FBI agent with the Behavioral Analysis Unit. Youâve got what it takes, Josh. So yes, Iâm asking you to help me out with this case,â you said with an encouraging nod. âThis is a small town and people talk, so letâs get out there and see what anyone knows.â
âYes maâam!â he said, jumping up from his chair and turning toward the door with a spring in his step.Â
âAnd Josh?â
âYes maâam?â
âThis case is on a need to know basis so it stays between us unless I tell you someone else is allowed to know about it. Got it?â
âGot it!â he said while giving you a two-finger salute and a sideways smile.Â
âSo be subtle!â you shouted with a laugh as he exited the office and set out to begin his investigation while you conducted yours.Â
A few weeks later you were making some headway in the investigation on the murder-suicide case. One crisp November morning when you and Josh were talking with someone over coffee about what they knew of the Greenwoods and their supposed vacation, you heard a scream outside of the diner. With your eyebrows scrunching together, you looked outside only to see a man holding a woman in a chokehold with a gun pointed to her head.Â
Rushing out of the diner, you made your way to the area near the fountain where he was at and held up your empty hands to show that you meant no harm. When you got closer you finally recognized the man and woman standing in front of you. They were a married couple that had moved to the town a couple of years ago after vacationing in the area. From the outside they were a happy couple, but you had heard around the rumor mill that she had cheated on him on occasion when she was drunk.Â
âHey,â you began in a soft voice, one you would use if you were approaching a skittish animal so you didnât spook it off. âHunter, can you please put the gun down? We can talk okay? Just let Hanna go and we can talk things out.â
âNo!â he shouted, pointing the gun in your direction to fend you off. âShe deserves this! He told me so!â
âWhat did she do to deserve this, Hunter?â you asked softly as you creeped closer slowly. All the while, the emaciated woman just stood there catatonically in his hold. There was no hint of light in her eyes and if you didnât see her breathing you would have guessed she was already dead. âWho told you this?â
âAll you women are the same! He told me that all you do is lie! All you do is take advantage of us and then leave when itâs convenient for you!â he shouted, voice strained and eyes with a wild look in them. It was a look you had seen too many times during your time in the BAU, but before you could take further action to try and talk the man down, the first shot already rang out followed in quick succession by the second.Â
A whirlwind of emotions filled your body in response to the event and they paralyzed you as you stared at the pair of bodies on the ground in front of you. Shock, disbelief, horror, confusion. A roaring sound filled your ears as your mind flashed to the day you decided to leave the BAU, but your thoughts were torn away from that time when you felt hands on your shoulders gently shaking you back to reality. âCaptain. Captain! Are you all right?â came Joshâs voice through the cotton feeling in your ears.Â
âI need to call EmilyâŚâ you whispered in reply, the back of your hand going to wipe away some of the blood that had spattered onto your face and was starting to slowly drip down. It hurt your pride to call in your former team and you have always dreaded the day you needed to, but you knew that you were in over your head trying to solve this on your own anymoreâŚ
âOkay, will everyone gather around? Weâve got a case,â Emily Prentiss announced to her team as she strode into the bullpen of the offices of the Behavioral Analysis Unit.Â
âWhatâve we got this time?â Tara Lewis asked as she looked up from the paperwork she was finishing up at her desk.Â
âIt appears to be a string of manipulated murder-suicides up in Montana. I have it on good authority that the latest victim was implying that someone convinced him that his wife deserved to die and then he took his own life shortly after hers,â Emily informed the team as they gathered in the area. âThe other acts were not witnessed but Iâm sure if we did a deep dive into their personal lives we would find evidence that the other male victims believed the same of their partners. This is the fourth murder-suicide in the town in five months and the unsub seems to be getting more brazen with his acts so weâre wheels up in thirty.â
âFourth in five months? Why did the locals wait so long to contact someone?â Luke Alvez asked, the corners of his mouth turning down into a frown at the thought of someone letting this go on for so long.Â
âBecause the captain is a former one of ours,â she replied, shooting Luke a look that said to not reprimand the actions of the officer. âShe was working the case herself and was beginning to make headway when the unsub set the latest two out to commit the act in the middle of downtown. Happened right in front of her. This case is escalating and itâll take more than one set of trained eyes on it to catch this guy.â
âA former one of our own? Who is she talking about?â JJ asked quietly to no one in particular.
âOh I know exactly who sheâs talking aboutâŚâ Penelope Garcia said quietly with a glance in the direction of Spencer Reid who seemed none the wiser about who their unit chief was talking about.Â
JJ followed Garciaâs glance and quietly gasped as she asked, âYou donât mean-?â
âYes I do mean!â Penelope said conspiratorially as she leaned in closer to the blonde. âWhen she left, Spencer never contacted her because he was so broken up over Maeveâs death that by the time he was finally in a headspace to process the breakup and her leaving the team it was far too late to try and make amends so he just never did! He doesnât know where she went and she cut off all contact with the team except for me and itâs been a secret that I have hated keeping for so long because I know we all loved her so very much!â Penelope took a deep breath and let it out as she slouched back in her chair as if keeping that in all these years was a heavy weight that had finally been taken off of her shoulders. âYou canât tell him though!â
âWhy not? He deserves to know that heâs going to be walking into his ex-girlfriend's police station!â JJ whispered back.Â
âIf you had a nasty breakup with someone would you want to know you were heading to meet with them and have to stew in that anxiety and uncertainty for hours on the plane ride there?â Penelope asked, a stern look in her eye as she once more straightened up in her chair. âThat big brain of his would work overtime trying to figure out what to say so that you would make zero headway on the case!â
âFineâŚâ JJ relented. A small smirk graced her lips as she added, âIâll keep you in the loop with how awkward he gets.â
âYou better!â Penelope said. An air of seriousness washed over her for a moment as she added, âI know this case may dredge up a lot of old memories for Spencer so can you just keep an eye on him?â
âOf course,â JJ replied. Penelope smiled in return before heading off to her office with a file of information to look into on the victims.Â
Time went by paradoxically during the wait for the BAU to show up at your station. It went slowly because you dreaded the looks on everyoneâs faces upon seeing you after nearly four years with no contact. As you showered the blood off of yourself in the staff locker room, your mind once more flashed back to the day you decided to leave the BAU.Â
It had been months of feeling distant from Spencer as he got closer and closer with the geneticist you pushed him to go to in order to get to the bottom of the headaches that had been plaguing him on and off for some time. Maeve Donovan. May she rest in peace, but she was the reason your relationship with Spencer fell apart⌠As their talks got deeper and he opened up to her more, you felt like you were sloughed away from Spencerâs life, brushed off so he could take calls with her and discuss what for the most part never even sounded like his could-be battle with schizophrenia like his motherâŚÂ
You remembered the day he had wrapped a book to give her when they decided to first meet. You couldnât even remember the name of the book, but the returning feeling of heartbreak made a quiet sob escape your mouth as you scrubbed the shampoo into your hair harshly. The dam finally broke as you remembered the day that you and the whole team took time off of the clock to help Spencer out with getting to the bottom of who was stalking Maeve and making her fear for her life. Tears flowed freely from your eyes and dripped down into the soapy water swirling into the drain as you pictured Spencer sobbing over Maeveâs body as she too was killed in a murder-suicide. Hearing him whisper the words that you hadnât heard in weeks of âI love you,â to her as he cried was what sealed the deal because in your heart you knew Spencer didnât love you anymore.Â
It took a few more days to make the final decision but in a whirlwind of anxiety you had made many phone calls back home to your parents and they encouraged you to take some time away from the BAU to come home to Montana and figure things out. So you put your notice with Hotch in and quietly broke things off to a catatonic Spencer who was so bereft following Maeveâs death that he didnât even react to the breakup.Â
Once back home you spent a few months piecing yourself together before moving for a job offer you felt like you couldnât refuse and since then had been promoted to Captain after a year. It wasnât ever what you planned for your career, but life has a funny way of guiding you in the direction youâre meant to go.Â
Turning to face the shower stream once again, you scrubbed your face with your face wash one more time to ensure you got all of the blood off before turning off the shower and beginning to dry yourself. You wiped away the steam from the mirror in front of you and looked at your reflection, squeezing your eyes shut as you pictured the blood on your face again. When you looked back up at yourself again, it was obvious that you had been crying so you made quick work of getting dried off and into a fresh set of clothes that Josh brought from your house before heading to your office to try and freshen up with the meager set of makeup you had in there.Â
You were surprised to see your entire makeup collection on the desk and as you sat down to begin working the makeup on, Josh popped his head into your office, saying, âHey Cap! Lindsey went with me to get your stuff and we grabbed all of that for you. Said something about seeing your ex-â
âI told you not to tell her that!â came the voice of another one of your officers as she made her appearance in the doorframe. She shot you an apologetic look and said, âIâm sorry I knew I shouldnât have said anything, itâs just that-â
âItâs okay, donât worry about it,â you said before forcing a cheery smile on your face at the pair in front of you. âThank you two for getting the clothes and makeup from my place, I appreciate it.â You resumed your makeup with slightly shaking hands as you asked, âNow can you go make sure the work area is in the order I requested? Whiteboards and markers ready, corkboard cleared of the meme wars, desks available, coffee brewing with plenty of sugar because I know we were almost out earlier this morning.â
âYes maâam,â they chorused before taking off to get the space ready for the teamâs arrival which would be⌠in less than an hour.Â
The hour flew by as you went over the case file once again and you jumped as you heard a knock on your door that pulled you out of your concentration. Looking up, you couldnât help the smile that made its way onto your face as you said with quiet enthusiasm, âEmily! Itâs been a while. How have you been?â
âIâve been well. As you know I got promoted to Unit Chief after Hotch left. I see youâve been getting some promotions too,â she said warmly as you stood up and offered your arms out for a hug which she accepted. âGarcia?â she asked simply and you knew she was asking how you had kept up with things in your absence, so you nodded. When you pulled away, she glanced at the notes on your desk and asked, âAre you ready for the brief with the team?â
The question made your heart jump in its cage. âWho all is left from my days on the team? What new faces can I expect?â you asked, trying to tiptoe around the elephant in the room.Â
âSpencerâs here if thatâs what youâre getting at,â she replied softly as she reached down and gave your arm a reassuring squeeze.Â
âDamn profilers,â you said jokingly before taking a deep breath and gathering up your files to take to the main area of the station to meet with the team.Â
Your heart hammered in your chest so hard you could practically feel it jumping up in your throat as you approached the meeting area. You busied yourself with your papers as you and Emily made your way over, sweat beginning to dampen your hands the closer you got. You practically stopped breathing when your eyes looked up and met Spencerâs. He looked as handsome as ever, maybe even more, and all at once you felt everything rushing back, waves of emotions threatening to engulf you as you struggled to breathe under his gaze.Â
Spencer looked like a deer in headlights when he spotted you and you couldnât help but wonder what he was thinking at that moment. The look on his face suggested that no one told him that the case was being manned by you and while it made you happy that Penelope kept her word, you werenât sure if the look of shock he was sporting was a good or bad thingâŚÂ
You were ripped away from your anxious thoughts and Spencerâs eyes as a cheer in a distinctive accent broke through the chatter of the office. Your name was called enthusiastically and you turned in the direction of the sound to see David Rossi sporting a wide grin as he held his arms out to embrace you. âHowâve you been kiddo?â David asked as he embraced you quickly before holding you at arms length to survey your features that had no doubt matured since he last saw you.Â
âThe last 24 hours or the last four years?â you asked with a quiet laugh. âIâve been making it though. Canât complain.â
âThatâs good to hear,â he said before turning you toward the rest of the team and telling you, âThatâs Tara Lewis and Luke Alvez, theyâve joined the team since your departure. Iâm sure youâll love them!â
You offered the two of them a smile before suddenly you were being pulled into a hug by JJ and when she pulled away you couldnât help but wonder how the hell you were supposed to greet Spencer. You were always a hugger, everyone knew it, and you actually shocked the office when Spencer let you hug him just a few days after you joined the BAU. But that time felt like a distant memory and your eyes turned to the ground instead of looking back at the man who used to bring you so much comfort but at the same time, more than ever you wanted so desperately to be in his armsâŚ
Thankfully you didnât have to make a decision on the matter because Emilyâs voice cut through the quiet roaring in your ears as she said, âYes, yes we all missed her, but we can get back to the reunion later. Right now weâve got an unsub to track down.â She called your name before asking, âWhat do we know?â
You cleared your throat and went into work mode, telling the team, âSo far we have eight victims.â You began placing pictures of the scenes on the table as you listed off their names, âFirst was Nora and Henry Fenway who we as a town thought went off to Florida after Henry got the news that his cousin passed away. Big Catholic family who wanted to perform a lot of traditional stuff for the funeral. They were found over a month later by some tourists hiking through the trails on the outskirts of town.
âNext was Theresa and Harry Greenwood who were set to embark on an Alaskan cruise and got stuck in the water due to some conservationist protest. The protest story checks out, but when we called the cruise line a week or so ago, there was never a record of the couple on board, so we think that the cruise package they were boasting about winning was a ruse to make sure that the rest of us knew they were expected to be away for a while. They were found dead near a river off of a popular hiking trail.
âThird was the sister of one of my officers. Natasha Quinn and her boyfriend Hayden Welkins were thought to be off at UCLA for college but were found dead in an abandoned cabin that has been a known squatting location. Kate told us that there wasnât too much contact from her sister during the time, but they all put it off to her being busy with school.â
You took a deep breath and tried to push the memory of the latest shooting out of your mind, but you could tell that your voice was distant as you detailed the latest pairing. âAnd just this morning it was Hanna and Hunter Newberry. He came out into the middle of downtown with Hanna in a chokehold and shot both her and himself but not before saying that âheâ told him that she deserved it.â
âDo we know anything about who âheâ might be?â JJ asked.Â
âNo idea,â you replied. âJosh and I have been doing some digging to see who started the rumors about the protest with the cruise, but it became a dead end when the first person who heard it said they just heard someone on the phone talking about it but they didnât remember when it was or where they were.â
âYou said that Kateâs sister didnât have frequent contact. Does that mean she still texted occasionally?â Luke asked.Â
âKate and her family were getting occasional check-ins from Natasha, yes,â you confirmed. âKate told me that the texts were pretty short for the most part though and that they didnât really seem like her usual style of texting. She put it off to being busy between classes and trying to get into sororities though.âÂ
âIâll have Penelope look into that,â Emily commented, taking down another note on the notepad she had in her hand.Â
Your heart skipped a beat once more as Spencerâs voice cut through the air as he said, âAll of the menâs names start with an H. I wonder if it could be the first initial of the unsub and heâs expressing himself through these killings. Maybe this is some twisted fantasy of his and heâs acting it out.â
âSo youâre saying he might have an endgame?â David asked thoughtfully.Â
âYes, and I donât think heâs going to stop until he gets her,â Spencer confirmed as he pondered over the photographs you left on the table before stepping away.Â
âThen letâs get to work,â Emily said. She called your name to get your attention and informed you, âTara and I will interview you about what you saw this morning. Spencer get started on the geographical profile. David head to the medical examinerâs office to see if thereâs anything you can find on the bodies. Luke go see if you can get CCTV footage from the businesses around the crime scene. JJ start working with Josh to interview the other witness from this morning to see if she knows where the couple came from. Iâll patch Penelope in so she can get started on a list of men whose names start with an H that live in the area.â
âSo can you walk me through exactly what happened this morning?â Tara asked you as you sat across from her and Emily in an interrogation room half an hour later. There was a part of you that for some reason felt like you were in trouble, but you understood the reason behind it. It was the easiest way to record the conversation and keep distractions from factoring into your memories of your encounter.Â
âJosh and I were speaking with a cousin of the Greenways to see if they could give us some insight into how their marriage was when I heard a scream outside of the diner,â you replied quietly, eyes focused on the metal table between the three of you as you tried to remember everything. âWhen I got out, there was a bystander. She was the one that screamed and Josh took her away to make sure she didnât get hurt.â You began picking at the sleeve of your sweatshirt as you continued, âI didnât recognize the couple at first, they both looked worse for wear. Hunter is usually clean shaven but he had a wild beard that clearly hadnât been taken care of and Hanna looked like her hair hadnât been brushed in days⌠He had this wild look in his eyes and she justâŚshe looked practically dead already.â
âHow do you mean?â Tara asked curiously.Â
âWellâŚthere was no light in her eyes. Her cheeks were sunken in and she wasnât even fighting. She just stood there,â you replied. âEven when Hunter was shouting and waving the gun there was no reaction whatsoever.â
âAnd what was Hunter shouting?â Emily asked.Â
You paused for a moment and thought before replying, âHe said, âShe deserves this! He told me so!â and then when I asked what he meant and who told him that he said something like, all women are the same and that he was told all we do is lie and take advantage of men and then leave when itâs convenient for us. And thenâŚâ you let out a sharp breath and closed your eyes as you remembered what happened next, âthen he shot her and then himself.â You dabbed a tear away from the corner of your eye before adding, âI was so close to him when it happened⌠I⌠I just froze. Their blood was all over me and I justâŚâ you didnât even know how to finish your sentence as you let out a shaky breath, trying to hold your tears back and keep your hands occupied by messing with the hem of your sweatshirt.Â
âItâs been a long time since youâve been so close to something like that,â Emily offered quietly.Â
âExactlyâŚâ you whispered. âIt reminded me why I left the BAU. When my anxiety and depression got so bad and I just couldnât take it anymore⌠The job, life, everything was just too much. It broke me.â
âAnd thatâs completely understandable,â Tara said empathetically, giving you a warm smile. There were a few moments of silence that were filled with her taking notes before she offered, âIf you need a minute alone we can cover for you until youâre ready to go back out there.â
âThank you,â you replied with a nod, leaning your head down onto your arms and feeling the cool metal of the table on your cheek to try and ground yourself before you slipped off into another breakdown.Â
Meanwhile outside of the interrogation room, Spencer stood there with his heart breaking. He was so lost in his own thoughts that he didnât even hear JJ approach until she asked, âWhat are you doing? I thought you were supposed to work on the geographical profile.â
Spencer startled a bit before sighing and telling her, âI donât know⌠I guess I just needed to know where her headspace was on everything.â He ran a hand through his messy hair and mumbled, âI really messed up with her, didnât I? She said that this reminded her of when she left and that life was making her anxious before she even decided to go⌠That was because of me.â
JJ sighed and gave him a quick pat on the back as she replied, âYeah, thereâs no denying that you messed up big timeâŚâ She felt Spencer tense before she finished with, âBut maybe you can at least ask for forgiveness. Take her to dinner and try to make amends.â Spencer nodded and threw you another glance before turning away and going to work on the geographical profile.Â
When you emerged from the interrogation room, the team was either out on their assigned tasks or grabbing lunch, so you decided to get some quiet time with your files in your office while you tried to get some food down. You were pushing salad greens around in your tupperware when your phone began to ring and you picked it up with a, âHello?â
âMy sweet, sweet friend, oh how I missed your voice!â came Penelopeâs cheerful voice through the speaker as her way of greeting you.Â
âIâm sorry I donât call Penny, I just⌠I was afraid of-â You cut yourself off and scoffed before finishing with, âForget it, itâs dumb. You probably called about the case and Iâm getting off track. What can I help you with?â
âNo, no, tell me!â Penelope protested. âIt is lunchtime there and no one is calling for anything so this has officially turned into a âtell Penelope all of your woesâ time!âÂ
You laughed quietly before asking, âAnd thereâs no getting out of it?âÂ
âUnless there is literally another death while weâre on the phone then no,â she replied chipperly.Â
Letting out a deep sigh, you decided that this wasnât a battle you were going to win, so you told her, âI never called because I was afraid I would just open up old wounds. The thought of if we were on the phone and Spencer came inâŚit terrified me.â And suddenly, without even thinking about what you were saying, you blurted out, âAnd now here we are with him in the breakroom of my precinct drinking coffee that I made sure we had enough sugar for because I have never been able to fall out of love with Spencer Reid!â You covered your mouth to attempt to prevent the words from coming out but it was entirely too late for that. The truth was out there and Penelope had heard every word of it.Â
âOh honeyâŚâ she said in a quiet voice.Â
You knew she didnât mean it in a condescending way, but the building tightness in your chest after she said it was making it hard to breathe. You filled your lungs as much as they would allow before whispering, âI-I shouldnât have said that.â
âNo, no, no! Donât feel bad about your feelings!â she protested from her side of the line.Â
âI-itâs justâŚâ You took a slightly deeper breath before you began rambling again, telling her, âIâve tried over and over and over again to find someone out here but it just never works. There was even this one guy back in April that was so sweet! Penelope, he picked me wildflowers while out on his guided hiking tours and arranged them into the most beautiful bouquets! He ordered me edible arrangements and had them sent to my office! He bought me coffee every morning in the diner when I was there picking up breakfast before coming into work! Hell, on our one and only date we had a candlelit picnic and he bought my favorite wine! That shitâs expensive! But I just couldnât commit to him knowing that someone else still has my heartâŚand I donât think thereâs a way to get it back.âÂ
By the end of your rant, your tears were falling once more and you dabbed them away with a tissue or two as Penelope sighed and said, âI wish I could give you a hug right now⌠I had no idea you were still feeling that way.â
You scoffed quietly before asking, âWhy would you? I should hate Spencer for what happened. He fell in love with someone else while still dating me and didnât even flinch when I broke up with him because he was so torn up about her death. ButâŚâ You shook your head and finished quietly, âHeâs the love of my life and it hurts so damn bad knowing that Iâm not his.â
Before Penelope could offer anything else, there was a knock at your door and you looked up to see it cracking open to reveal Spencerâs handsome face with that awkward-as-ever smile crossing his lips. âSpencer, hey,â you whispered, your breath being knocked out of your lungs at his sudden appearance as you hoped that he didnât hear anything you just said.Â
âI think thatâs my queue to goâŚâ Penelope said quietly and in quick succession you heard the tell-tale sound of the call ending.Â
âHey, can I talk to you?â Spencer asked timidly as he opened the door a bit more to fully reveal himself.Â
âO-of course,â you replied, hoping that it wasnât too obvious that you had been crying. âEverything going okay out there? You holding up okay afterâŚeverything?âÂ
âIâm doing fine, yes,â He said with a quick nod. âI got the geographical profile down, but itâs in a weird pattern that Iâm still trying to make sense of. All of the locations are in a strange arc sort of line without a centralized location that indicates a familiar area that the unsub is comfortable in. The first three sites were more so out in hiking areas in the woods so I thought it could be an avid hiker, but the latest one was so out in the open that it makes me wonder why the unsub chose that location. He isnât escalating because there was still time for him to psychologically torment the victims before sending them out to commit the act so Iâm trying to determine if maybe this was an outlier or if itâs a part of his endgame to have used that specific spot for that coupleâŚâÂ
Your heart fluttered in your chest upon hearing him rant on about the profile he had created and you hoped he didnât notice that your eyes were practically heart-shaped as you listened to his soothing voice ramble on about the case. He cleared his throat and shifted his weight from foot to foot before adding, âBut uhâŚthatâs not what I came to talk to you about.â He shoved his hands into his pockets and said quietly, âI was actually coming in here to ask if I could take you to dinner tonight. Thereâs a lot I feel like needs to be cleared up between us afterâŚeverything that happened. I know it may be wrong to ask for your forgiveness after so long but-â
âYes,â you replied instantly, unable to fight the smile working its way onto your lips at the offer.Â
âY-yes?â he asked with an undeniable sparkle in his eyes as he too gave into his emotions and let his smile light up the room.Â
You nodded and were about to say something more when Emily popped her head into the office after giving a short knock on the door, informing you both, âGarcia got us a list of possible suspects, letâs get to work.â
âYes maâam,â you and Spencer replied in unison, and you had to fight back the giddy giggle that threatened to bubble out of your mouth at the statement in stereo.Â
That evening you took a quick trip to your house to freshen up before meeting Spencer. Even though you knew it wasnât a date situation, you still took the time to make your hair look nice and put on a dose of perfume that you remembered Spencer liking. When you pulled into the parking lot of the cafe you and Spencer agreed to meet at and stepped out into the chilly November air, you pulled your coat close as you started toward the door.Â
Before you could reach out to grab the handle though, another hand reached out and pulled it for you. Expecting to see Spencer holding the door open for you, your heart gave a stutter in your chest as suddenly the reality of the situation hit you. You would likely be discussing what happened back in Virginia, and that would mean talking about Maeve and the reason your relationship ended and that scared you. Sure, you had attempted to process everything yourself, but facing it head on would be an entirely different experience in which you would have to hear what made him fall out of love with youâŚ
Your anxiety spiked for a completely different reason though when you looked up because when you did, your eyes met the very man you turned down because you still werenât over Spencer. âHartley, hey. Thanks,â you said quietly as you slipped through the door and into the warm building.Â
âLooking for some company?â he asked as he walked in behind you and began attempting to help you take off your coat.Â
Before you could respond, the hostess greeted you by name and asked how many were in your party. âThereâll be two, Rose,â you told her with a smile and she began reaching down to grab a couple of menus from behind the counter. While you were telling her this, you pulled away a comfortable distance from Hartley and began taking off your coat and gloves on your own. âIâm meeting someone actually,â you told him simply, tucking the gloves into a pocket and hanging the coat on the rack by the door. Â
âOh, okay,â he said slowly. âAre they late? I can get you an appetizer and drink while you wait,â he offered and you noticed his eyes moving around the restaurant in search of your intended partner.Â
As he said this, the small bell above the door chimed and your eyes gravitated that way to see who was entering. Raising a hand in a wave, you greeted Spencer with a smile as he joined you at the hostess counter. He quickly took off his coat and racked it before running a hand through his messy hair and saying, âSorry Iâm a few minutes late, I was wrapping up something with Prentiss at the station!â
âItâs no problem, Spence. Rose was just about to take me to the table,â you assured him as you nodded your head toward the kind woman.Â
âGreat,â he said as the pair of you began following Rose to the table in the back corner she knew you preferred to dine at.Â
âI guess Iâll see you around,â you said quietly to Hartley who was escorted to his usual spot at the bar by another hostess.Â
âWho was that?â Spencer asked curiously after the two of you placed your drink orders.Â
âSomething that I assume will be addressed when we talk,â you admitted, feeling heat begin to crawl up your neck. Spencer nodded stiffly and remained silent in response to the comment, the tension only breaking when Rose came back with the drinks and said she would give Spencer a few minutes with the menu.Â
âSo whatâs good to eat here?â Spencer asked timidly after a few more moments of silence as his eyes quickly scanned the menu.Â
You let out a quiet sigh of relief at the fact that he wasnât diving into the serious talk you needed to have and relaxed a little in your seat as you began raving over the menu items that you preferred and which ones you thought should be avoided. âAnd we have to get dessert, the pie here is to die for!â you gushed as you pointed out the dessert menu on the back.Â
âLet me guess, the coconut cream is your go to?â Spencer asked, a small smile lining his lips.Â
âAlways,â you affirmed, a smile breaking out on your lips. âRemember that time when I-?â you tried to start, but couldn't even get through half of the sentence before dissolving into a fit of giggles.Â
âWhen you were bringing a pie to the office and you tripped as you were putting it on the counter and tried to play it off as a pie eating contest with Morgan?â Spencer asked with a laugh and a sparkle in his eye at the memory.Â
âYes!â you said, more laughter spilling out of you as you remembered Derekâs reaction. âI still canât believe he actually went along with it!âÂ
So that was how the two of you spent the next little while - reminiscing on the better times you two had at the BAU before your abrupt departure. That was, until Spencerâs eyes drifted slightly left over your shoulder as he asked once more, âWho did you say that guy was from earlier? Heâs been glaring daggers this way the whole time weâve been hereâŚâ
You sighed and nodded. It was time to face the music. So you took a deep breath and told him, âThatâs Hartley. He flirted with me for months before I finally agreed to a date with him, but⌠Things just didnât work out between us. Ever since then, heâs tried to get with me again, but I always turn him down.â
âWhyâs that?â Spencer asked, his posture straightening the slightest bit at your words which you tried not to overanalyze as you instinctively studied his body language.
âI⌠It felt disingenuous to be with someone when my heart was still back in Virginia with youâŚâ you admitted quietly as you pushed around some of the food on your plate to distract yourself and to avoid looking into Spencerâs eyes. When he didnât say anything in response, your heart rate kicked up and you felt your palms start to sweat as you began rambling. âAnd I know that may sound crazy because itâs been so long but I just never got any sort of closure with you after everything that happened so I never really closed that part of my life away and so those feelings justâŚnever left⌠I know you fell out of love with me, but it just isnât that easy on my partâŚâ
You wiped away a stray tear that escaped during your ranting and were about to open your mouth to apologize when Spencer whispered your name in a broken voice as he reached across the table to request your hand to hold. When you tentatively gave it to him, Spencerâs large hand wrapped around yours as he said in a quiet voice, âI know that saying this now doesnât make up for all these years of silence, but I really am so sorry for what happened.â He cleared his throat and told you, âWhen you found Maeve for me and I started speaking with her about my headaches I finally felt seen. I thought I loved her because she was able to help me get through something that had been plaguing me for years. I was so excited to finally understand what was happening with me that I didnât even realize that I had started to put you on the backburner. By the time I did, Maeve was dead and you had left and I didnât know what to do so I just never reached outâŚâÂ
âOh⌠I-Iâm sorry I-â you started to say after a few moments.Â
âNo!â he exclaimed a little louder than he probably intended because you could see a tint of red creep onto his cheeks and he slouched into himself to try and make himself smaller. He squeezed your hand before saying in a quieter voice, âPlease donât blame yourself for anything that happened. Looking back I know that you were trying to be there for me, but I got hyper focused on what Maeve was doing for me that I started to prioritize you less and that wasnât fair to you.âÂ
You cleared your tightening throat and told him, âEveryone makes mistakes, Spence.â
âBut not everyoneâs mistakes make them lose the love of their life like mine did,â he told you, a serious tone in his voice as he held your eye contact unwaveringly. âI messed up and I know I donât deserve it but I would like to try and make amends so I can eventually earn your forgiveness.â
âI think youâre already on your way there, Doctor,â you told him, a shy smile on your lips as your eyes darted toward your intertwined hands.Â
âSo explain to me again what the MEâs findings tell us?â you asked as you flipped through a file the next evening.Â
âThe brains of all the victims had densities and lesions in certain portions that have to deal with the capacity to have rational thoughts and feel emotions properly. We think that this happened because they were exposed to emotional and psychological torture for an extended period of time which is how the unsub manipulated them into performing a murder-suicide,â Spencer informed you quickly.Â
David ran a hand over his chin before asking, âSo then what did the unsub have on all of these people that made them so easy to manipulate into snapping?âÂ
âWell we know that he said that all women are the same and just use men, so-â you started to say but were interrupted by JJ coming up with her phone on speaker and Penelopeâs enthusiastic voice coming through the speakers.Â
âAll of the women in these couples were wanting an out from their relationship in one way or another!â Penelope informed the group. âThere were some cases of cheating or wanting a divorce or breakup or just getting out of an abusive partnership. Poor Natasha was being abused by Hayden and just wanted outâŚâ
There were a few moments of silence before Spencer suggested, âIf all of these women were trying to leave their relationships in some way then maybe that was the unsubâs stressor.â
âMaybe he was cheated on or recently divorced then,â Luke offered.Â
âRight,â Emily agreed. âGarcia, can you start looking into recently divorced men in the area and cross match that with your list of men whose names start with H?â Emily asked.Â
âI am on it!â the blonde replied as you all heard her fingers typing away on her keyboard. After a few moments she said, âThere are a handful of recent divorcees in the area. A Harold Fenton, Herschel Brunswick, and Hester Lincoln.â
âRight, so then we start with those men and see if they have anything to do with these cases,â Emily informed the group. âItâs getting late and I doubt anyone is going to be awake at this hour for questioning, so we start in the morning and Iâll assign teams for the interrogations then. Be smart people, it isnât going to be enough to just get an alibi for the time of the killings. We need to know where he was roughly when the couples were abducted and if heâs got other properties or a room in his house where he could have done the torturing.â
Before there could be any more discussion on the matter, Josh came into the precinct with a shocked looking woman on his arm. JJ and Tara rushed over to retrieve the woman from him and you asked quietly, âWhat happened?â
âShe said she was out for an evening walk when she came across two recently shot bodies. Jessica Stevenson and Hendrix Jordan. Both shot in the head presumably with a pistol that was found beside his body,â Josh replied grimly. âWhile EMS was looking over her to make sure she wasnât hurt, I asked around and turns out a neighbor had heard them fighting pretty loudly before she stormed out. He followed pretty soon after, but the neighbor said they didnât see him with a gun.â
âDid you take any pictures of the scene?â you asked, your mind beginning to run a million miles an hour to try and work a way in front of this lunatic.
âYeah,â Josh said as he pulled out his phone and pulled up the picture.Â
The team gathered around the phone and each studied the photo before David asked, âIs anyone else seeing what Iâm seeing?âÂ
âYeah, the placement of that gun isnât consistent with someone who just shot himself,â Luke said, his eyebrows coming together in confusion as he studied the picture. âAnd Iâm sure once we get the ME report, itâll show that the gun wasnât flush with his head either.â
âSo youâre suggesting that this one was a double murder?â JJ asked.Â
âWe donât know for sure, so letâs not get lost in the weeds, people,â Emily told her team. âThe unsub is escalating. He didnât even take time to torture this couple. This may mean that he was triggered recently and felt the need to kill. We need to get to him before he gets to another couple.â
By the next afternoon the unsub had already struck again.
You and Spencer had just gotten back from speaking with Herschel Brunswick at the cafe when you were informed of the killings. Kaitlyn Grant and Harley Dixon, a young couple who the whole town loved, but knew he was drifting away because he was so committed to his job just outside of town and would spend long hours there.Â
âDamnit!â you shouted in frustration, your fists clenching as you could feel your blood begin to boil when it started to feel like rage was consuming your entire being.Â
You brought your hands to your face in an attempt to cover up the anger but they were coaxed down and held gently by Spencerâs as he mumbled in his soothing voice, âHey, weâre gonna figure this out.â
Ignoring Spencerâs words, you whispered, âThis is my faultâŚâ With the rage taking over once more, you snapped, âThis town trusts me and the sheriff to keep them safe, but in the last five months twelve people have died! Twelve!â Your tears began to fall and you practically collapsed into Spencerâs arms as you whispered, âI canât do anything rightâŚâ
Instinctively, Spencer caught you and started running a hand up and down your back to try and comfort you. Forgetting he was in front of the whole team and your officers, Spencer kissed the top of your head before trying to calm you down. When your breathing had finally slowed and your tears subsided enough for you to feel comfortable showing your face again, you untangled yourself from Spencerâs arms and gave him a quiet âthank youâ before turning to face the team and your officers who had all migrated toward the other side of the room in order to give you and Spencer space.Â
You were about to try and make a speech toward the team to attempt to motivate not just them but yourself too when Tara came up and placed a hand on your forearm, giving you a warm smile. âI think you need a break,â she told you gently. âThis case is getting to you and I think you need to clear your mind for a little while.â
âBut-â you tried to protest, but were stopped by Spencer.Â
âSignificant stress has been shown to measurably affect neuronal properties and cognitive functioning of the hippocampus. Itâs also been found to impair memory function and the ability to recall information of which could be crucial in a case like this. Did you know that in some theories about the effects of stress on the body, the individual actually loses the ability to function in the presence of excessive stress which leads to exhaustion and potentially death?â
âOkay, not what she needed to hear at this moment, but I agree with Reid that it may be best for you to go home and take a breather for a while. Details in this case are really important and I know that you want to nail this one,â Tara told you and began walking you to your office to grab your things and help you to your vehicle while assuring you that the team had it under control.
Back in the precinct, Emily cleared her throat and announced, âOkay everyone! We know from forensics that the gun was in fact not up against Jordanâs head when he was killed and that it was actually from a distance away so we can confirm that he was killed and did not commit suicide. I bet weâll get the same result from todayâs victims. This unsub is working overtime to get our attention so we need to give it to him.â
Spencer nodded and added, âBrunswick wasnât our guy because we were with him all morning. What did we find out about the other men Garcia identified as recently divorced?â
âFenton is clean too, we just got back a few minutes before you two,â Luke informed him.
Tara nodded in agreement. âLincoln too. He isnât our guy.â
âSo what are we missing?â David asked.Â
âI donât think weâre missing something. Maybe weâre just thinking too narrowly,â Spencer offered as he turned to look at the new report Josh had filed on the new crime scene.Â
âWell then letâs widen our thinking. We canât let this guy kill anyone else,â Emily said finally before assigning groups to tasks.Â
After finding out that of course there werenât any trail cameras in the area of the latest scene, Spencer was once more going over files in search of something he must have somehow missed. âWhy donât you go over the geographical profile again now that we have more victims?â Emily suggested.Â
So he did, taking stray pins from the cork board and placing them in the places of the latest two crimes. What was revealed in front of his eyes was the shape of a heart. âSon of a bitchâŚâ he whispered, looking over to Emily with wide eyes. âHeâs plotted out where he wants all of these people to die in order to make a heart on a map, so it could stand to be assumed that-â
âHis real target lives in the middle of that heart,â Emily finished with a grim look on her face.Â
âThatâs a large area to cover that doesnât seem like itâs heavily populated, weâll need a few teams to fan out and search the area,â Spencer said, grabbing a pair of keys from the rented SUVs they had been using to get around town.Â
âRight.â Emily looked around and started giving orders to those who were back at the station, âLuke, go with Spencer in the first SUV. Josh youâre with JJ and David in the second. Tara and I will go with Lindsey in a patrol car. We have a lot of ground to cover so letâs get moving!âÂ
Spencer calculated the coordinates to the exact center of the heart and began driving that way with Luke in the passenger seat. On the way there, Luke broke the silence of the vehicle by asking with a smirk, âSo what was going on with you and the captain earlier?â
âOld habits die hard I guess. We used to date back when she worked at the BAU,â Spencer told him. âThere were a lot of cases where she needed some mental help afterward and thatâs how we ended up together. She found my facts and statistics comforting because at least there was some form of guarantee to her safety.â
âThatâs cute, I didnât know-â Luke began to say but stopped short when at the same time he and Spencer noticed the vehicle in the driveway of the house they were approaching. âReid-â Before Luke could finish his sentence though, Spencer had thrown the SUV in park and was getting out with his gun pulled from his holster. âReid, think rationally here! Just because her house is the one you think may be in the middle doesnât mean-â
With his gun drawn in one hand and his phone in the other, Spencer dialed Penelope as he and Luke made their way up the winding driveway, keeping to the tree line and in the shadows of the fading sunlight. âHow may I be of assistance Doctor? I-â Penelope started chipperly.
âDid she ever talk to you about her relationships since leaving?â Spencer asked quickly.Â
âShe? Who do you-?â she tried, but was quickly interrupted by Spencer blurting out your name to hurry her along. âOh! Just one she told me about the other day! She said that back in April this guy tried to get with her but they just went on one date.â
âHartleyâŚâ Spencer muttered under his breath. âGarcia, try to find anything on a man named Hartley in the area, thatâs the last man she dated. Call Emily with whatever you find and send her to my location.â
âGot it!â she said before ending the call.Â
âReid, what's going on?â Luke asked urgently.Â
âThe first couple was abducted back in late April, after she rejected a man named Hartley. He was at the restaurant we went to the night before last and was glaring daggers at me the whole time. I donât think that itâs a coincidence that those two couples were killed so close together after that nightâŚâ Spencer told Luke quietly as they approached the house.Â
Spencer just about reached for the doorknob of the house before Luke snatched his arm away and sharply whispered, âDonât! Youâre smarter than that! Whatâs gotten into you man?â
âIt took me two days to figure out that she was the target of the unsub when it should have taken me two minutes after dinner that night! If she gets killed then thatâs on my shoulders since she rejected him because of me!â Spencer whisper-shouted at him.Â
âThen we need to do this right and take him down quickly and quietly. We canât just go in guns blazing,â Luke said before releasing the grip he had on Spencerâs arm. He listened for a moment and motioned toward the back of the house, telling Spencer, âI hear two voices coming from that direction of the house. Letâs start there.â
When they got to the back of the house, your voice and a maleâs voice could be heard from inside having a conversation about dinner and flowers. Lukeâs eyebrows furrowed in confusion and he whispered to Spencer, âIt doesnât sound like sheâs in dangerâŚâ
Spencer peered around the corner and risked a glance into a window, noticing how your eyes flicked in his direction before taking the conversation into the next room, making sure the man who was with you followed. So Spencer motioned for Luke to follow behind him and he noticed that this room was near a backdoor that the pair of them could use to get into the house if needed.Â
That time came when, straining his ears to hear, Spencer heard you say, âDo you like literature? I think my favorite line is from Macbeth. Act one, scene five, lines 64-65.â
And with that, Spencer kicked in the door to the house and pointed his gun toward Hartley as he announced, âFBI, donât move!âÂ
Luke came in shortly after Spencer, also with his gun raised as Hartley grabbed you around the waist and held the gun loosely near your head as he let out an almost maniacal laugh. When he took in the two men across the room from him, he shook his head and said, âHow fitting that itâs you who came to her rescue? You two really had a connection the other night at the cafe and it made me realize that it was you this whole time! Youâre the asshole who made her turn me down! Youâre the reason my heart got shattered into a million pieces! It isnât fair that someone can break a heart so easily! So she doesnât deserve to live and neither do I because I destroyed all those families lives by killing their sons and daughters, mothers and fathers!â
âYou donât have to do this!â Luke warned the man sternly as he trained his gun on the manâs head.Â
Spencer noticed Hartleyâs loose grip on your waist and said your name to get your attention. Hartley warned him to shut up, but Spencer ignored him and instead locked his eyes with your terrified ones. A small reminiscent smile made its way onto his lips as he asked softly, âRemember what you told me your favorite movie was when we went on our first date?â You thought for a moment and then nodded almost frantically as Spencer said, âI want you to do the opposite of that for me, okay? Now!âÂ
And just as he planned, you dropped to your knees, allowing Spencer to get a clean shot on Hartley that took him down in an instant. The second that he went down, Spencer holstered his gun and ran to your side, sitting himself on the ground and against the wall as he pulled you into his chest to comfort you. While he did this, Luke kicked the gun away from Hartleyâs hand and checked his pulse before quietly nodding to Spencer.Â
âHeâs gone, he canât hurt anyone anymore,â Spencer whispered into your hair before kissing your head and letting you burrow into his embrace as you cried. âBreathe with me sweetheart, Iâve got you,â Spencer mumbled as he tried to calm you down, running a soothing hand up and down your back at the same pace as he wanted you to breathe.Â
Minutes passed as Spencer attempted to calm you down and he was mildly successful, enough to get you out of the dining area and onto the back of the ambulance that arrived with the rest of the team. As Spencer hesitantly left your side in order to go locate any anxiety medications you may have in your medicine cabinet, Luke followed him and asked, âDude, how did you know she was in danger?â
As Spencer pulled out a bottle and read the label, he told Luke, âAct one, scene five, lines 64-65 of Macbeth says âLook like the innocent flower, but be the serpent under't.â That was her way of saying that what looked like an innocent conversation between partners was actually a dangerous situation.â A huff of a laugh left his lips before he added, âShe studied Shakespeare for fun in college and would analyze his work with me when we were together. Donât try and get into a debate with that woman about Shakespeare, youâll lose every time.â
âWow⌠You two must have been a force when you were both at the BAU,â Luke mumbled, seemingly in awe of how easily the pair of you were able to communicate without giving anything away.Â
âHotch thought that we could somehow read each otherâs minds sometimes,â Spencer confirmed with a quiet laugh as he pulled the right bottle from the shelf.Â
âSo what was the movie?â Luke asked curiously as he followed Spencer through the house once more, weaving through the BAU team members and your officers who were investigating the scene.Â
âUp,â he replied. âI told her to do the opposite so she went down.â Luke chuckled in response before being whisked away by Emily to recount his version of what happened while Spencer went back to the ambulance to give you your anxiolytic to help you calm down.Â
The next morning came after a sleepless night pacing a motel room that the sheriff had booked for you so your house could be processed and cleaned up after the events of Hartleyâs takedown. When you drove up to the station there was a decent sized crowd near the door, presumably to get a sneak peek as to what happened at your house the night before. A light knock on your window made you jump and clutch at your heart as you looked over your left shoulder to see Spencer there with a small smile on his face.Â
âWant some company to head inside?â he asked as he offered you a hand to help you out of the vehicle.Â
âStay close?â you asked quietly, afraid that perhaps the people in that crowd had already figured out that you were in fact the target of Hartleyâs killing spree and were there because they wanted you goneâŚÂ
âOf course,â Spencer replied as he hooked your arm in his and the two of you made your way through the crowd and to the front door, ignoring all of the questions being thrown your way.Â
When you got inside, you almost breathed a sigh of relief before you were approached by Tara and Emily who told you once more that they would need you in the interrogation room, but this time for an actual questioning. At the request your body stiffened as you realized that you would have to relive the situation again and without missing a beat, Spencer said, âAs long as I can be in there with her.â
âSpence, you know that-â Emily started but was interrupted by Tara.Â
âLet him,â she told Emily with a shake of her head. âAs long as Reid doesnât say anything to her it wonât matter if heâs in there or not, but if she needs his presence for comfort we at least should allow that.â
âThank you,â you whispered, your muscles relaxing the slightest bit as you and Spencer began following the pair to the interrogation room.Â
Once inside the cold space, you pulled your cardigan close and made sure that Spencerâs hand was held in yours before you nodded to signal that you were okay to begin. âSo can you tell me what happened yesterday from your point of view?â Emily asked.Â
âI left the station to clear my head after being informed that another couple had been found dead. I grabbed a few groceries and headed to my home where inside I found Hartley Rivers standing in the kitchen of my previously locked house,â you told her quietly, your voice wobbly as you spoke.Â
âDid he do or say anything when you got there?â Tara asked.Â
âHe wasâŚoddly calm at first. Asked what I got from the store and said that I should make the two of us a meal. Said that it was the least I could do for him after all the work heâd been doing lately,â you replied.Â
âDid he elaborate on that statement?â Emily asked.Â
âNot at first,â you said, âbut I got him talking and he confessed to staging all of the murder-suicides in the last few months. HeâŚhe saidâŚhe saidâŚâ you trailed off as your breathing began to pick up and your leg began to bounce anxiously.Â
âTake your time,â Tara said.Â
âHe said it was my faultâŚâ you whispered. âHe said that if I just didnât reject him then all of those people would be aliveâŚâ The grip Spencer had on your hand tightened the slightest bit and it brought your turbulent thoughts to that feeling alone and you used it to ground yourself back to reality before clearing your throat and adding, âHe told me that I was the loss of his life and that I didnât deserve to live for what I did and neither did he. But he thought that if he got my attention in a way that wasnât romantic gestures it would get the point across betterâŚâ
âSo you're saying that he confessed to orchestrating the killings?â Emily asked.Â
You nodded. âYes. He didnât tell me where, butâŚâ
âThen what happened?â Tara asked gently when you didn't elaborate more.Â
âIâŚI saw Spencer sneaking around outside so I brought the conversation to a room near an outside door and informed him that I was in danger by referencing a line from Macbeth,â you said, which earned a small smile from Emily. âWhen Luke and Spencer got in, Hartley grabbed me and held me at gunpoint. From there things get fuzzy because I was so scared. All I remember is Spencer asking me something so I took a knee and heard a gunshot and Hartley let go of me. I thought I got shot until I felt Spencer pull me into his lap and then my anxiety got the better of meâŚâ
âThank you, you did well,â Tara informed you, standing up and coming around the table to give you a squeeze on the shoulder.Â
âWeâll get all of that into the right hands and then weâll have to be on our way soon,â Emily said hesitantly as she made her way to the door.Â
âIâd like to stay behind for another day or two. Iâll use vacation days,â Spencer told her immediately. âI can book myself a flight back to Virginia and do my paperwork on the way.â Emily opened her mouth for a moment and then closed it, simply nodding in response before making her way out of the room with Tara behind her.Â
âYou didnât have to do that, SpenceâŚâ you whispered.Â
âNo, but I wanted to. I need to make sure youâre okay at least through the hardest part of this,â he informed you as he helped you stand up on your unsteady legs to leave the room.Â
âThank you,â you told him graciously, turning into him and throwing your arms around his frame in a tight embrace.Â
âOf course,â he told you, the smile evident in his voice.Â
After a few moments, you took a deep breath and said, âI need to make an announcement, would you mind staying with me for it?â
âI donât mind,â he replied, following you out into the main office area where the BAU team and your officers were milling around filing away papers.Â
You cleared your throat and said just loud enough to be heard over the noise, âI have an announcement Iâd like to make.â When all eyes were on you, you took a deep breath and said, âI would like to thank everyone for their work on this case, both my locals and the BAU team. You all worked long and hard hours to close this case and I am very appreciative of that. Unfortunately before we could solve it, twelve people died in this town at the hands of Hartley Rivers under my watch. So with that being said Iâm announcing that I will be stepping down from my position as Captain of the police division here. I made a promise to serve and protect the people of this town and after the events of this case I feel like I failed at that because I couldnât solve it sooner and because I was the reason Hartley felt the need to do what he did. Itâs been an honor to serve this town while I did, but it wouldnât be right to continue on from here. Thank you.â
There was a stunned silence that filled the room and you quickly ducked your head and started toward your office after making eye contact with the sheriff who gave you a nod and a sad smile in response. When you got there, you grabbed a box and began slowly placing your belongings inside when you heard footsteps enter the room. âSo youâre really going?â Josh asked quietly, his sadness evident in his voice.Â
You nodded, which earned a sigh from Lindsey and her saying, âMan this sucksâŚâ
âI know but⌠I feel like I failed this town. And once word gets out about what happened, I would be driven out of the position and the town anyway and Iâd rather end it on my terms.â
The two agreed and began helping you pack up your belongings while reminiscing on some of the better days in this office. Once you seemed to run out of things to talk about, Josh asked with a smirk evident in his voice, âSoâŚyou and agent Reid huh?â
âDoctor Reid,â you informed him sternly with a quiet laugh escaping your lips. âHe didnât earn three PhDs for nothing.â
âSo youâre into the smart ones,â Lindsey said teasingly as she landed an elbow into your ribs lightly.Â
âI suppose so,â you said as you looked up and saw Spencer himself in the doorway. The four of you made quick work of packing up your office and before you knew it, you were being escorted out to your vehicle with Spencerâs protective arm around you as you made your way through the crowd of people who still thankfully didnât know the truth behind everything yet.Â
When you and Spencer got to your house, he helped you unload the boxes of your office items and then sat beside you on the couch after you put on a quiet instrumental record to keep there from being a deafening silence in the room. You couldnât help your mind from wandering back to the events of not only yesterday, but of the last five months. As you did, a roaring filled your ears that was interrupted by Spencerâs voice as he asked, âHey, whatâs on your mind?â
âToo much,â you replied quietly.Â
âWanna talk about it?â
âNot really, butâŚâ You sighed and in defeat relented, saying, âI guess itâs best if I do.â
âIt is. And Iâm right here with you,â he told you as he tentatively scooched closer on the couch and put his arm around you. Your muscles relaxed as he did this and the flood gates opened once more as you burrowed into Spencerâs side.
âI just feel like such a screw up⌠Twelve people with lives and families and dreams for the future are all dead because of meâŚâ you whispered, trying to muffle the sob that escaped at the end of your statement.Â
Spencer ran his hand up and down your arm for a moment before quietly asking, âIf it were anyone else in your position what would you tell them?â
âWhat?â you asked after a few seconds, pulling away for a moment to look up at Spencer with furrowed eyebrows.Â
âAs the victim advocate specialist that you are, what would you say to someone else in your position?â Spencer asked and you began to see his point. âSay it was Lindsey in the center of this instead of you? You wouldnât tell her that those people died because of her would you?â
âNoâŚâ you whispered, sagging back into his embrace with a sigh. You were quiet for a moment before replying thoughtfully, âI would tell them that they canât control other peopleâs actions and feelings. That they couldnât have known that something so simple as rejecting someone could cause such disaster. That they shouldnât have to live in fear of this happening again so theyâll go out and live their life and not seclude themselves. That even though in the heat of the moment if the families of the victims find out the reason behind the crime that it still isnât their fault no matter what nasty things are said to them. I would remind them that theyâre a victim in this too and they deserve treatment and counseling services just like the other victimsâ familiesâŚâ
Spencer leaned down and kissed the crown of your head before mumbling, âExactly. So what is making you feel like you donât deserve to hear those things too?â
âBecause I was supposed to protect all of those people and I couldnât do my job. They shouldnât have died in the first place. Pair that with the fact that Hartley was doing this because of me andâŚit makes me feel like I donât deserve to be handled gently after everything that happened,â you told him sadly.Â
âI think that just proves that you should be given more grace than anyone in this situation,â Spencer says.Â
âI just donât feel like Iâm deserving to be cared for after everythingâŚâÂ
âWell I guess Iâm just going to have to prove your anxiety wrong,â Spencer said and you could hear the smile in his voice as he pulled you impossibly closer in what seemed like an attempt to bring all of your broken pieces back together.Â
Later that day after finally getting through all of your emotions about your now totally uprooted life and watching your comfort movie with Spencer, you started to feel a bit lighter. So as you made dinner for the two of you, you sang quietly to the music coming from your record player as Spencer helped where he could with the meal. While you were standing at the stovetop stirring the food, he came up behind you and gently wrapped his arms around your waist and swayed to the music playing. âI missed thisâŚâ he admitted quietly, his voice and body relaxed.Â
âMe too,â you replied, a small smile on your face and tears prickling the backs of your eyes.Â
You were afraid to ask Spencer what happened next after he left back to Virginia and you wentâŚwhere? You still hadnât decided what you wanted to do for work after you just resigned and where would that land you in the country? You werenât sure how well- âHey,â he said, squeezing you slightly to bring you back to reality. âYouâre getting lost again.â
âI know, Iâm sorry,â you replied, going back to stirring the nearly complete stir fry. âI just have a lot on my mind still is allâŚâ
âLike what?â he asked, stopping his swaying to focus on your conversation.Â
âWhat do I do for work now? Thereâs no way Iâll get a job in any of the surrounding counties and Iâm afraid of even getting into that position again because that is so much responsibility I donât feel ready to handle again after what happened hereâŚâ
âHave you thought about coming back to the FBI?â Spencer asked. âI know that the BAU was a cause for a lot of stress on you, so maybe you could see if there are any victim advocate positions available in other departments? Or maybe go back to your SVU department?â
âI have enough in the bank to take a month or so off from work to sort things out mentally but⌠I think once I figure myself out again, being an advocate again would be rewarding and now that I have a unique perspective on thingsâŚâ Maybe it was time to move back to VirginiaâŚ
âI think you would do great,â Spencer replied, releasing you from his arms before reaching for the plates you had been warming to place the food on. You still had a faraway look in your eyes, even you could tell, so you werenât surprised when he asked, âWhat else is on your mind?â
You didnât reply as you plated the food and made your way to the table, trying to figure out the best way to discuss the topic at hand. You couldnât figure out a graceful way to ask, so you let out a heavy sigh as you gestured between yourself and Spencer and asked quietly, âSpence⌠What is this? What is going on between us right now? The hugs, the kisses, the comforting touches. Is it just because of the case? Is it because you feel bad for me?â Guilt at the last bit began to crawl its way up your spine and you felt your throat closing up slightly as you said, barely above a whisper, âIâm sorry Iâm just scared right nowâŚâ
âHey, itâs okay,â he assured you, reaching over and grabbing your hand gently and rubbing comforting circles onto it with his thumb. Clearing his throat, Spencer admitted, âAt first it was habitual. It felt like an instinct to comfort you because thatâs what I did all those years, butâŚbut then I realized that I didnât just want to provide you with physical comfort. I wanted to protect you. I wanted to hold you until all of your fears and doubts went away. I justâŚI want you back.â At those last words, your eyes darted up to meet Spencerâs hopeful ones. A smile fell onto his face as he finished, âPlease. I want you back in my life and if that canât be as your boyfriend right now I understand that, but I just want to be in your life somehow. It took me a while to realize that I never stopped loving you and it took me seeing you to realize that if I want you back I need to fight for it and prove to you that taking me back wonât be a mistake.â
âTaking you back would never be a mistake,â you mumbled, a smile making its way onto your face as you scooted closer to Spencer on the dining tableâs bench.Â
âIâm glad to hear that,â Spencer whispered as his hand ghosted its way up your arm, landing on your cheek to hold you for a moment before asking, âMay I kiss you?â
âOf course,â you replied with a slight nod before your lips were enveloped into the most tender kiss Spencer had ever given you. A feeling of warmth ran up your spine as you relaxed into the kiss, your hands wandering up to hook around the back of Spencerâs neck to pull him closer.Â
All too soon, the kiss was over and Spencer pulled away to rest his forehead on yours before telling you, âI love you. And I never want to lose you again.â
âYou wonât,â you promised before leaning back in for another kiss, the stir fry going forgotten on the table as you lost yourself in Spencerâs love and affection.Â
thank you for getting this far, I appreciate you for reading! Don't forget to like and comment! <3

An: Older!Eddie is the loml canât believe we are having his baby đ¤
As the evening unfolds, you find yourself at a lively bar, celebrating your friend's farewell to her twenties. Although you've grown somewhat weary of late-night revelry, your friend insisted that you join her, believing that the celebration wouldn't be complete without you. As you step into the dimly lit bar, your gaze is immediately drawn to a captivating figure.
Amidst a group of older men, he sits on a bar stool, exuding an aura of distinctiveness. His cascading locks and adorned fingers, embellished with silver rings, capture your attention, except the finger where a wedding band would typically reside. Despite his smile, his deep brown eyes betray a hint of melancholy. In that moment, you feel an unwavering resolve to brighten his spirits.
As you observed him from across the room, you couldn't help but feel drawn to him. Although he didn't fit your usual preferences, there was something about him that intrigued you. He was an older man, rough around the edges, tall, dark, and handsome; what's not to like? The more you studied him, the more you estimated his age to be in his late 40s, perhaps 50.
Emboldened by a few drinks, you finally mustered the courage to approach him.
âHi,â you smile.
âHi,â you hear another handsome man turn to you, but he isnât the one you were speaking to.
âIâm Y/N,â you reach your hand so he can shake it.
âSteve.â He smiles.
âHi Steve, whoâs your friend.â You turn to the man youâve been eyeing all night.
âThis here.â He pats his friend on the back, breaking him out of his conversation with another friend. " Is Eddie?â He smiles, and Eddie turns to his friend, confused as to why his name is being spoken.
âWhat?â He swallowed his beer.
âThis is Y/N.â Steve smiles.
âEddie.â He nods.
âWhat brings you here, Eddie?â Your voice is so sickly sweet, laced with desire.
âI donât think you wanna know, Sugar.â
Normally, the name would deter you, but coming from him, it made your heart flutter.
âTry me?â You lean forward on the high-top table, emphasizing your breasts.
Eddie began to shy away, but Steve stepped in once again, âcelebrating his divorce.â He claps Eddieâs back again. Clearly, theyâve been here a while.
âOh well, thatâs good news for me then.â You absentmindedly start to twirl your hair.
âAnd whyâs that, Sweetheart?â
âMaybe youâll find out later.â You wink and turn to go back to your friends.
âWhat was that?â Eddie was stunned.
âDude, you gotta go after her! She was totally flirting with you.â
âNah.â No way Eddie believed that⌠no way this sexy younger girl who looks like God's gift to earth wants to flirt with him.
âUm, yes, she wants you, man.â
âI could be her father.â Eddie scoffs.
âHasnât stopped me.â Steve laughs.
Eddie rolls his eyes at Steve. How would something as hot as you go for a guy like him?
âIf you donât, I will.â
Eddie eventually gave in to Steveâs nagging and found you twenty minutes later. He offered to buy you a drink, and you gladly accepted.
You âaweâ when they tell you heâs newly single and touch his arm while giving him a fake pout. Your pink lipgloss captures the light, and Edie can't stop staring at your mouth.
Eddie tried so hard to keep eye contact, but your body was so full and voluptuous that he couldnât help but scan you a time or two.
âYou wanna get out of here?â You ask after you finish your second drink with him. Your friends are who knows where, and youâre so horny you think your pussy might just explode.
âYea, yea, letâs um, go.â Eddie couldn't hold back his smile. He was buzzing he was so excited.
You rested your hand on his upper thigh on the short car ride back to his home. His other leg bounced in anticipation, trying not to get hard already. But the simplest touch from you had him realizing. Your manicured fingers looked so good resting on his leg like that.
He pulled up to his small three-bedroom bungalow, which was enough for him and his two kids, who he had with his ex.
It was seriously a bachelor pad. He was not expecting company, so the place was disorganized, but you didnât care to notice because your lips were attached to his neck the second he closed the door.
âHoly shitâ he lets slip because is this really happening? Yes it is.
âOh baby,â You hear Eddie moan again as your hands slip up his thighs to where his hard-on is starting to take form.
âYou should relax; let me help you,â you say, hooking your fingers under his leather jacket and pushing it off his shoulders. Your eyes widen when you see the vast number of tattoos covering every inch of his bare arms.
âYou wanna help me relax, baby girl?â
âMmmmm, I do. You deserve it after all you've been through.â You nod your head, giving him your best puppy dog eyes. God, you're laying it on thick.
Eddie smirks and brushes your loose hair behind your ear, sending a chill up your spine. You watch him lean down to take your lips on his. Needy, passionate kisses were shared before you broke away and found his neck.
âLetâs take this into the bedroom,â he says, pushing you back towards the hallway. You giggle as the man handles you.
Eddie still canât believe this is happening, but heâs going to take advantage of every second of it. He watches your tiny skirt ride up as you walk towards his bedroom. He canât help but grab a handful of it, and you squeak.
Finding more confidence in himself, he tosses you on the bed, and you land with a giggle. Youâre not used to being so manhandled, but you liked it. Eddie was much stronger than he looked, which only turned you on more.
You watch him as he removes his shirt before he lunges towards you. He has you naked and on your knees for him within minutes of entering the bedroom.
Your nimble fingers unbuckle his belt as you kneel before him. He thinks he will cum right then and there. The image of you looking up at him, your tick thighs pressed together, trying so hard to create some sort of friction for yourself, is so fucking hot to him.
âFuck youâre bigâ Your jaw hangs slack in shock as his hard cock springs from the confines of his pants.
âIâm sure you can take it.â
Challenge accepted.
Eddie hadnât had sex in a very long time. No way he was last if you keep this up. He thinks youâre about to suck the soul out of his body as your hot, warm mouth envelops him wholly.
âFuck baby girl, your mouth is so perfect, I canât wait for your pussy.â
âIâm right here, yours for the taking,â you smirk up at him, reeling from the fact he hadnât touched you yet.
He once again surprised you as his strong arms lifted you with ease to toss you onto the bed. He spreads your legs without a second thought and dives into your needy cunt.
âYouâve been hiding this from me?â His eyes roll back as he tastes you. You mewl as his mouth takes over all of your senses.
âI know, baby, you need me to fuck you, don't you?â
âYesâ
âNeedy little thing, just need a man to take care of you?â
You nod your head as your fingers lace themselves through his chocolate waves.
âI promise I'm going to take care of you and make you feel good.â And he is making you feel so good.
His face between your legs feels like you've ascended into euphoria.
âOh god!â You clench down as your orgasm washes through you.
âThatâs a good girl.â He laps at your juices before he fumbles for the condoms he thankfully just bought. He quickly rips open the box as you come down from your high. Condoms are scattered across the bed, and Eddie hears you giggle at his eagerness, and it only makes him want you more.
Eddie has the condom on in seconds and is gliding himself through your wet folds before he pushes himself inside.
âOh, Eddie!â You scream when he bottoms out.
Eddie lets himself close his eyes as his tounge traced your nipple. He hummed into your skin only sending more waves of pleasure through your body. His large hands squeezed your other breast as he sucked and flicked your nipple with this mouth. Teeth teases as his fingers played, nothing would stop him from having your perfect tits in his mouth and his cock buried deep inside you.
His hips are rocking into you so good, heâs pounding into you, you canât think. Youâre so fucking happy you chose to come home with him, never have you had sex this good. How did his wife give this up? You donât know,; but youâre sure glad because you will get to experience him now.
âEddie, please!â He loved hearing his name fall from your lips. He wasnât even sure you remembered it; heâs having trouble remembering yours if heâs being honest, but he didnât care. Your pussy was magic.
âFuck baby girl, this pussy is so tight, so goodâ You feel his hand gently wrap around your throat, holding you in place as he watches your tits bounce with each thrust. His cock disappears between your plush thighs; he canât get enough as your pussy is getting tighter and tighter. He can feel your orgasm creeping up on you. He needs you to cum before him; he is damned if he comes first.
âCome on baby girl, cum on my cockâŚ. Thatâs it; youâre taking me so well. I knew your pussy would be so fucking good.â The praises falling from his lips have you clenching down on his cock, so hard Eddie thinks he sees stars.
Eddie can finally let go. His cum fills the condom as he continues to fuck into you until heâs satisfied.
Once youâve both caught your breath, you get up to leave, Eddie feels sad when you start getting dressed, but you insist he gives you his phone band. Maybe you can do it again sometime.
When he saw the text from the unsaved number with your name attached, his stomach did a little summersault, and he didnât think he would ever forget your name again.
Itâs been weeks, and your and Eddieâs schedules have yet to coordinate. He had his kids on the weekends, and youâre always busy. You never give a reason; youâre just busy.
So when Eddie entered the restaurant to get his pick-up order, he was a little surprised when he saw you sitting at the booth with a guy. A guy who was about your age, with his arm wrapped around you.
Who even sits on the same side of the booth anyway?
He gave the host a fake smile as his skin started to crawl as he continued to watch the blonde hair blue eyed Chad-looking fucker lean in and whisper something in your ear that made you laugh.
So this is why youâre âbusy.â
âYour food will be out in a minute, sir.â The hostess smiled and walked away.
This gave Eddie the opportunity to walk over.
âFancy seeing you here, Sugar.â Eddie smiled, but you could tell by the look in his eyes it was not a happy one.
You almost choked on your drink as his deep baritone voice filled your ears.
âEddie, um, hi.â You try and keep your cool.
No, you werenât avoiding him. This date had been planned for weeks, and you didnât have the heart to cancel.
âHey man,â the douche nods to Eddie, and he canât help but roll his eyes. How on earth did his girl go for this chump?
Eddie completely ignored him.
âWhoâs this baby?â Your date turns to you. âYour dad or something?â
You almost choked again, and Eddie sneered as the smug look graced your date's face.
âCan you give us a minute?â You turn to him.
âI donât thinkâ "
"Listen to the lady." Eddie glared, and he looked so hot while doing it.
"I'll give you ten minutes."
"Iâm sure that's the longest you'd ever need," Eddie mumbled under his breath, and you giggled.
Eddie stuck out his hand, and you take it, and he leads you around the corner to the alcove by the bathrooms.
âSoâŚ.â You start awkwardly.
âI see why youâre always busy. If you have a boyfriend just tell me Iâll stop waisting my time.â He scoffs.
âHes not my boyfriend.â
âBut thatâs your type, huh? Thought you wanted a more mature man? Someone rough around the edges, someone who knows how to please youâ He raises his brows.
âI-I meanâŚâ
âWhat is it, baby girl? He fuck you as good as I did?â He tucks a price of loose hair behind your ear. âI donât think so.â
âHow dare you!â
âYou need to be reminded?â
The way your pussy clenched as his tone was a betrayal of your own. You missed his touch, but he was being such as asshole you didnât want to give in.
âFuck youâ
âGladly,â he leaned in and kissed you deeply.
You let a moan slip, and you feel Eddie smirk against you.
Eddie dragged you into the bathroom and locked the door behind him.
âEddie,â you moan, completely forgetting you were on a date with another man.
Eddie canât get enough of you; heâs been thinking about you every moment of every day since that first night you hooked up, and hearing your name slip past your lips only makes this moment all that much sweeter for him.
âNeed this tight pussy to remember who she belongs to.â He flips you towards the sink so you face the mirror. You watch intently as his hands wrap around your waist to unbutton your pants and pull them down. âNeed to remind you who made you cum so hard you were begging for more.â
You couldnât form words, only needy mewls left your throat as you wiggle your bare ass at him before his fingers run up your already wet slit. It didnât take much for you to get ready when Eddie was around.
âSo wet fâme alreadyâ
âOnly you.â
âYea, only me? Not that Ken doll out there?â
âNo, Eddie, you! Only you!â
âThatâs right, baby girl. Youâre mine, pretty.â
You hear the jingle of his belt, and soon after, his hard tip brushes through your folds.
âEyes on me,â he guides your chin to keep looking at him through the mirror as he plunges inside of you.
Your mouth falls slack as he fucks into you; his hand moves lower, holding your throat in place as each brush of his cock feels so deep inside of you.
His grip on your hip is tight, his hand slinks down from your throat to your breasts, and he squeezes it over and over again.
âCanât get enough of you, pussy is like a fuckin drug.â
âSo big,â you slur. His cock brushing that sport so deep inside you your body is shaking with pleasure.
Your orgasm hits you quickly, and Eddie is coming shortly after.
You feel a light smack on your bare ass before he helps pull your panties back up.
âHoly shitâ you try and catch your breath.
âNow, youâll only be thinking of me dripping down your leg while you finish this date.â He gives your ass another squeeze before slipping out the door without another word.
You take a minute to catch your breath and exit the bathroom to see Eddie, with a takeout bag, heading out the door. You say a quick goodbye to your date, making up some lame excuse about not feeling well and chase after Eddie while he still leaks out of you.
A one-night stand turned into running into him while on another date, and he fucked you in the bathroom so good you ditched your date, and now youâve been hooking up ever since.
You didnât speak to one another about what you were, but after that day in the bathroom, you knew you didnât want to be with anyone else. It was understood after he ran into you on a date - you would be committed to one another only.
You liked Eddie, and yes, he was older by about seventeen years, but he treated you well. He always made sure to take care of you and look after your needs, and when you were both finished, he always wanted to talk and cuddle.
You knew you wanted more with him, to go out with him, to be with him, but you were too scared to overstep. He had just gotten out of a poor relationship a month and a half ago, but your feelings for him started blooming, and you couldn't stop.
Youâre falling quick and hard for Eddie and thatâs scary. Itâs so new and what if a baby is added to the equation? That could end things in an instant. Dread was the only thing to fill your mind as your mind spiralled.
Your phone startles you out of your thoughts, and you answer it right away, don't even see who it is on the other end.
"Hey, baby girl. You getting ready to go out?"
Tonight, you were to go out with your friends to dance. You loved having a drink and some good music, but as you were getting ready, a wave of nausea hit, and you knew that wasn't a good sign.
You were late. It's been a little over two weeks late, but you're scared to take a test. No way you wanted this to be real. You had been so careful.
"No, um, actually. I'm not feeling well." You try and swallow the lump in your throat. You don't need to worry about the unknown.
"Oh baby, do you need some soup? I can pick you up some and bring it over."
âNo, no I just â Oh god, the bathroom!â
It hit you; you didnât use a condom that time.
"You wanna hang up to do that or"
"No, Eddie, no I need you to get something for me."
"Whatever you need."
You pace back and forth as the longest 3 minutes of your life pass by.
Eddie couldn't believe you were asking him to get you a pregnancy test at nine-thirty on a Saturday night, but here he was, anxiously waiting.
Eddie loved being a dad, and he would be thrilled to have another baby, especially with you. Sure, the relationship was newer, but he knew in his soul how good of a person you were and how good of a mom you would be.
Fantasies of you and your swollen belly played in repeated in his head until he heard you gasp. He sees your face, and you're in shock, unable to move beside your shaking hand. Holding the test, he sees the blue plus symbol clear as day.
"Your boy has still got it!" He grabs the test from your hand and makes a fist pump in the air.
"Eddie!"
"What?"
"Aren't you scared?" Tears formed in your eyes. Would you be ready? Would you be a good mother? Would he want to leave, and you would be stuck being a single mom?
"No, because I know you'll be an awesome mom. I can't imagine a more perfect woman to have my baby." He leaned in to kiss you, and a tear fell down your cheek.
My baby. Something g you and Eddie made together.
"I'm going to be a mom." Eddie's words start to make you feel better, and you start to smile.
"You're going to be the sexiest mom." He wiggles his brows suggestively.
"Eddie!"
"And the kindest, most caring, thoughtful mom to ever exist. This baby will be so loved."
"So loved," You repeat.

loml
"shit," you laugh breathily, leaning back into the couch cushions. "jesse's going to be so fuckin' mad at you,"
"i don't think i even care anymore," ellie says.
the curtains are drawn in joel's living room, though the setting sun peeks through the cracks and the thin beige fabric. voices from the dvd recording playing on the tv are tuned out in both you and ellie's heads. in the fireplace, the flames dance around wildly, bringing about a comforting warmth to the room in the midst of a frosty jackson winter.
she has a dazed look in her eyes, her cheeks flushed as she keeps her gaze focused on your face. her arms lay awkwardly at her sides, back against the armrest and soles of her feet pressing against the side of your thigh.
"stop looking at me like that,"
"like what?"
you give her a pointed look and she smiles nervous, biting down on her bottom lip and refocusing her gaze upon the coffee table set in between the couch and the tv.
the front door swings open, door handle colliding with the drywall in the hallway- having left permanent indentations over the years, causing both you and ellie to flinch slightly.
"shit," a man swears gruffily, trudging into the house with his snow boots still on, squelching with every step he took deeper in.
a man's tall figure appears in the doorway behind the couch, bearing a brown winter coat and torn jeans. joel scratches at his scruffy beard, leaning against the wall and letting out a loud sigh, bits of snow still visible in his unkempt hair. he lets his backpack fall from his hold, colliding with the wooden floor.
"hey," joel says. "you kids stay in all day,"
ellie crosses her arms across her chest. "yeah,"
"it's cold as shit outside," you say, trying to make up for the lack of words from ellie, turning around to face the older man. "you look like shit, joel,"
"ran into a bunch of fuckin' clickers,"
"shit," you say.
"'m gonna go shower," joel says. "help yourself to the food in the fridge,"
you nod, pretending not to notice the hopeful glance he sends ellie's way before he disappears out of sight, leaving his bag behind.
"how would you rate it?" you ask, making yourself comfortable once again on the couch, hugging your legs to your chest.
"rate-"
"the kiss,"
ellie cracks a small smile, sucking on the inside of her cheek. "an eight?"
"an eight?" you scoff. "yeah right,"
"how would you rate it?"
"a six,"
"now you're just being petty,"
"jesse's a better kisser than you,"
she scrunches her face up in annoyance. "can you stop bringing him up?"
"why? you scared that he'll be mad you just kissed his ex?"
"you're real fucking annoying, you know that?" she asks.
"maybe annoying's your thing,"
"yeah," ellie says, pursing her lips as her eyes flicker to yours once again "maybe,"
"shit," ellie laughs, at the worst moment possible- she scratches at the hind of her neck, a sheepish smile forming on her face. "can't believe i just fuckin' blanked out. um, i wrote it all down, memorised it, but i can't fuckin' think when everyone's starin' at us like this. fuck,"
the crowd laughs- but you, you feel your throat grow tight over how ellie's looking at you like she's never been more in love.
"ever since i was young, i never really understood shit 'bout the world, and i never understood anything that happened in my life. the only thing that's ever made sense to me was you, and fuck, i knew from the moment i saw you that i had to have you. sorry, jesse," he lifts his wine glass up at that, leaning back in his seat and chuckling. "i thought this was going to be the most difficult thing i'll ever do, but when i saw you walking down the aisle, i realized how simple it really is. i love you. you're the person i want to spend the rest of my life with,"
"fuck you, ellie," you mutter, just loud enough for her to hear, the dam of tears in your eyes completely breaking. "you just made my vows sound like absoloute shit,"
and ellie flashes you a legendary grin- one you knew was for the ages.
you rub at your eyes as you walk into the kitchen, spotting ellie's figure crouched over by the fridge.
"hey," you say.
upon hearing your face, ellie glances over at you before straightening herself up to her feet, revealing a backpack at her feet.
"hey," she says.
"it's been a while since she's slept so long, huh?"
she, as in you and ellie's daughter, mj. 'm' as in your late sister, may, and 'j' as in joel, a name you mutually had decided on in honour to the people who succumbed to their cruel fates far too soon. you'd woken up back in your ex jesse's bed after one too many drinks, a side effect of you and ellie hashing out one of your more brutal fights, which in itself was a side effect of grief. a month and an absent period later, you'd discovered you were pregnant, which led to yet another fight with your girlfriend. however, what you thought was the end of your relationship, wasn't, and instead your relationship bloomed into something so much bigger.
it was just after dinner when you'd heard someone rapping at your door.
you knew it was her- ellie had a particular way of knocking, four small gentle raps, followed by a complete silence. when you opened the door up, it revealed the girl who had been completely drenched by the rain.
"i've kind of always wanted a kid," she lied, standing before you on your doorstep.
she hated kids.
they were too whiny, too loud, but she'd been so patient with mj from the very start.
"she had quite the day," ellie says.
"yeah," you say. "come back to bed, ellie,"
you try to fight off the sinking feeling in your stomach, pretend its any morning like any other, but you can't ignore what every inch of your body knows. you've already lost her, even though at the moment, she's physically still there. ellie isn't ellie. the girl you fell in love with was already rugged at the edges but the new ellie, she was torn at all the wrong places.
"i have to finish it,"
you close your fist tightly at your sides, nails digging into your palm. "you don't owe tommy anything,"
"i don't sleep. i don't eat. i'm not like you,"
i'm not like you.
"you think this is easy?"
ellie offers you no reply.
you clench your jaw tightly, to the point that it's quite possible that your teeth may shatter at any possible moment. you know, the moment you let it all out, the bitterness you've held against her for the past month- your grief battling hers, she's gone. but you also know, even if you don't, she's gone. ellie was going to leave, you just had to keep on hoping for a little longer with her.
losing your sister hadn't been easy.
loss wasn't supposed to be easy.
"i love you," ellie says.
"prove it," you say, your voice raw. "stay,"
ellie shakes her head gently. "i can't."
for a few moments, the room is silent. you manage to blink your tears back but ellie doesn't seem to try quiet as hard, tears racing against each other down her freckled cheeks. ellie wipes at it hastily with her sleeve and you swallow painfully, before beginning to speak once again. you try your best to keep your voice steady but the emotion bleeds through, which may be for the better, because now ellie's sure that whatever you say, you mean it.
"i'm not going to wait for you," you say. "the moment you step out, i'm gone. we're gone. i'm not going to wait at a house that feels like a fucking cemetery,"
"okay," she whispers.
you watch powerless as she picks up the bag and walks out the door without another look back, the door clicking shut behind her. one tear slides down your cheek, quickly followed by the others, and they can't seem to stop. eventually, your entire figure is consumed by sobs as you try to keep your gasps of air small- a mercy to your daughter in the next room.
you pray she'll be too young to remember that once, she had someone else who could leave her and did so.
you pray that she won't remember what you won't ever forget.
"you good?" jesse says as he snaps his fingers in front of your face.
"what?" you snap.
"just checking in on you," he says, lifting his arms up in defense.
dina places a comforting hand on your shoulder, eyeing the deadly grip you have on the shot glass in your hold. she shoots a pointed look at jesse, who quickly snatches it out of your grip and cups your hands at either side with both of his, keeping his grip on you firm as he speaks.
"we'll go with you, if you want to see her,"
"fuck," you matter. "the fuck do i need the two of you for? i'm not fuckin' scared of her,"
you yank your hand away from jesse, shrugging away dina's arm as you storm across the bar to the door, grabbing your coat off the hook behind it before trudging out into the snow. the winter winds are cold but apparently, not enough to put out the growing anger in you. your feet remember where they're headed to, even though the way to ellie's old garage is foggy in your head.
you ball up your right fist and pound at the door.
the door opens after a few seconds and your heart sinks the moment your gaze meets hers.
ellie has her hair tied up into a ponytail, her figure shrunken, swallowed up by her sweater. dark circles are prominent beneath her eyes and you can't help but notice the new scar on her cheek. you'd memorize all the marking on her body, you can't help but notice the stranger. she looks worse than you had apparently been expecting and despite all the unresolved resentment you'd been feeling towards her for months, your heart aches for her all the same.
it can't forget what it's yearned for before.
"hey," ellie says, barely above a whisper.
"hey," you say as you cross your arms across your chest.
for a few moments, the fire in your chest goes out and all you can see is ellie.
"it's been a while,"
you nod.
"i..." ellie trails off, clearing her throat. "how've you been?"
"good. moved in with jesse,"
she nods, gaze falling to the floor. "that's... good. how's mj?"
"her dad makes her really happy,"
a tense silence stretches between the two of you until ellie breaks it.
"i'm sorry,"
the two words seem to trigger something in you, bringing back the fury you had forgotten momentarily just before.
"you don't have to be,"
"no, i really am,"
"then i forgive you, i hold nothing against you, all that bullshit,"
"yeah, i deserve that," she nods. "i'm not planning to stay long,"
"i really don't give a shit. just stay out of my life. our life. i meant it when i said we wouldn't wait for you,"
"she's my kid too," ellie says, eyebrows scrunching up in annoyance.
"she's me and jesse's kid,"
"i raised her!"
"she doesn't even remember you,"
"yeah, and who's fuckin' fault is that?"
"you want her to remember you? and spend the rest of her life mourning over someone who left her? you don't get to pin this on me. i wasn't the one who left her,"
"you don't get it," ellie says, shaking her head. "you still don't,"
"i don't, because you had everything and you gave it all up. you ruined your entire life over someone who took one thing away from you,"
"one thing?" she whispers. "joel wasn't just one fucking-"
"you think it was easy? letting the fact that my sister was murdered go? but for you and for her, i did it. because i knew i had a responsibility, to stay. and i knew that whoever killed her- they'd get their ass handed back to them,"
"and what if i wanted to be the one who did it? what if i wanted to be the one to kill her?"
"was it worth it, ellie?"
she stays quiet, and you let out a shaky breath, slipping your hands into your pockets.
âiâm glad youâre alive,â you say, before retreating into the snow.

LOML- loss of my life | Part 1
Pairing: Bucky Barnes x fem!Reader
Plot: You knew him at a time when he didn't, and now he is looking for you...
Warnings: depiction of violence, angst, mentions of (perhaps) death, angst, fluff at the end (maybe), takes place after TFATWS
Previous Chapter | Masterlist
Bucky couldnât possibly open up to Sam about his nightmares. Let alone tell him about her. How would he explain anything to him if he didnât even manage to remember her name or what she looked like? He furrows his eyebrows. Y/e/ced eyes. Yes, thatâs it. Your y/e/ced eyes looked up at him with an emotion he couldnât quite place- one he rarely got to see.
They remained on him for a short moment before you turned to look at one of the guards. Pierce and the others had left by now, leaving you alone with The Winter Soldier and one single bodyguard- which was truly a joke. One gun wouldnât be anywhere enough to stop The Winter Soldier if he decided to launch at you.
But Hydra wasnât a caring employment agency. They couldnât care less whether you lived or died. In the morning if they would stumble upon your lifeless body, they would burn it and toss your remaining ashes into the trash. Then they would just go out to abduct the next doctor. You softly scoffed at the thought and turned around:â Can you please bring me my bag?â
The guard merely nodded at you, and for a moment, he turned his back on the two of you. However, as you perked up at The Winter Soldier, you didnât feel any kind of fear. Maybe you had already given up on your life, who knew?
âHere.â, the guard let out and tossed the bag on a table. âRude much?â, you whispered underneath your breath before standing up and walking towards it.
âOkay.â, you declared as you walked back to him with a bottle of sterilizer and a handful of cotton pads:â I am not going to lie to you, this will probably sting- a lot. You have a few mildly concerning cuts and a few stitches up that got infected.â A sigh left your lips:â I donât know which of the other doctors did such an awful job, but Iâm going to fix them, okay?â
The Winter Soldier observed you carefully and tilted his head at your movements. âPlease, remember I am not trying to hurt you. I am here to help.â, you whispered and leaned down again, putting some of the brownish liquid on the white cotton:â Are you ready?â No one had ever asked for his opinion before.
Then he nodded.
It took you roughly 8 Minutes to clean every cut on his exposed torso, and once you were done you leaned back:â Okay, great. None of these have to be stitched up.â Your hand moved softly over his arm, and he flinched when it came in contact with one of the scrapes.
âShit, sorry.â, you got up and made your way over to your bag. Your gaze drifted to the guard, who was waiting for you to finish so The Winter Soldier could be thrown back into his cell again. You have never seen the cell but you can only guess that, if anything itâs dark and cold in there.
You turn back to the man with the lengthy hair and bite your lips while holding a couple of bandages in your hands: âIâm almost done. I promise.â
You quickly made your way back to him to put them on before you ultimately looked up at him. âIâm sorry.â, you whispered, trying your best to make it seem like you were not saying a single word:â Iâm so sorry for the way these people are treating you. If anything I believe that there is still good in you, at least somewhere. That deep down youâre a good man, used to fighting a war youâre not interested in. I-.â
âYouâre aware that you can tell me anything, right?â, Samâs voice cuts straight through the fog. Bucky only exhaled deeply before he leaned back in his chair outside Samâs house.
The weather is nice and he shuts his eyes for a few seconds while facing the sun, how he treasures the warmth on his skin- her warm hand on his cheek was an extraordinary contrast to the coldness of the room, and he would have leaned into it if it wasnât for the guard ripping you off of him, and throwing your body onto the dirty tiles. He-
âLast week, when we were having dinner you called me a friend in front of Sarah, and you know what friends do.â, Sam lets out, and even though his voice has a playfulness to it, there is a layer of concern in it.
Bucky rolls his eyes:â Are you implying that I lied to your sister?â âI donât know. Did you?â âI would never lie to your sister. She means too much to me.â, Bucky winks at Sam before bringing the beer bottle up to his lips again, and a chuckle escapes his lips once he sees the look on his friend's face.

âCome on! I wanna show you what i made!â Daniel pulled your hand to drag you to his room and your boyfriend sitting next to you rolled his eyes, âdude leave her alone! She doesnât want to see your project.â You gently smacked his arm, âyes i do actually.â And you followed Daniel to his room.
Seans dad laughed at him, âyouâre lucky she puts up with you.â Sean shook his head and mumbled, âitâs shocking isnt it.â Sean got off the stool he was sitting on and went to the couch as he dad laughed again, he laid on it with his sketchbook in hand.
After a few minutes you and Daniel came out of his room and back to where Sean and his dad still were, âhave fun?â His dad asked. âYeah! Y/n thought it was cool.â Daniel said excitedly as he say on one of the stools. I nodded in response. His dad laughed, âthats good.â
You listened and watched Daniel and Esteban joke around about his school and other things for about 10 minutes before you decided to check on your boyfriend. You walked around the couch so you were behind him, you were gonna scare him but then you looked closer at his sketchbook. You watched him add more details and you smiled when you notcied it was a drawing of you, Daniel, and Esteban but the main focus of the drawing was you, you had the most details.
âDid you draw me?â You asked him making him jump and sit up, âw-what? What are you talking about?â He asked, a blush spreading on his cheeks. You smiled wider, âlet me see your sketchbook.â He closed it quickly and held it to his chest, âno.â You both didnt notice Esteban laughing and watching you guys.
âPlease?â You practically begged him with the sweetest voice you could give him. He didnt budge though as much as he wanted to, but you eventually grabbed it from him and he jumped off the couch to chase you, you ran into the the kitchen and stood behind Esteban and he helped hold back sean as you flipped through the pages to find the drawing.
âHey! Dad- let me go! Give it back!â Sean struggled in his dads arms and Daniel laughed watching the chaos. Sean saw as you flipped to the page and he groaned and stopped struggling, his dad stepped closer to you so he could see it too.
âAww Sean.â You said looking at the drawing. He didnt respond, he just hung his head in embarrassment. âAww.â His dad teased him poking Sean in the sides. You leaned against the counter and flipped through other pages of his sketchbook, that wasnt the only drawing heâs done of you.
âAlright kids its time for me to get back to it. You know where ill be if you need me.â Esteban said squeezing you and seans shoulder softly and ruffling daniels hair as he walked past him on the way to the garage. âI have to finish my project in my room any way.â Daniel said running to his room.
âOh donât hurry back!â Sean said to daniel and walked towards you. You closed the book and looked at him, he was closer to you now and you couldnt help but recognize how tall he was compared to you.
âTheyâre amazing Sean.â You said softly and wrapped your arms around his torso and hugged him. He hugged you back, âthank you amor.â When you pulled away he kissed you softly, lifting your chin up towards him.
âMake sure you guys are keeping it pg in here yeah? You are in a public slace.â You heard from his dad making you both pull away, âdad..â Sean groaned shaking his head as you both looked towards the garage and saw esteban walking towards the counter and picking up a tool, âforgot this. Have fun you two,â he joked, âbut not too much! Donât do anything i wouldnât do.â He winked at the both of you making Sean groan and you laugh.
He walked back down to the garage and you heard the door shut and Sean sighed, âmy room?â âSure.â You said still laughing. He grabbed his sketchbook off the counter and took your hand with his empty hand and you both walked to his room.
You two ended up taking an amazing nap together.

â the best thing thatâs ever been mine â
jason grace x greek!fem!reader âĄ
a quest turned unforgettable
a/n happy 30th birthday loml (bc he's very alive xo)
â Ë・ âĄď¸âĄâĄď¸ Ë・ â
Y/N was already exhausted. She joined Jason on their last quest before they would be off to New Rome University.
âThereâs too many choices,â she complained, laying upside down on the motel bed in a random small town in Vermont, âI cannot decide between journalism and creative writing.â
The tall blond walked out of the bathroom and leaned against the doorframe. He held his toothbrush that was still covered in the blue paste, âwhy don't you do both?â
She thought for a second, âIâll decide when we get there, I guess.â
He leaned back inside the bathroom to spit in the sink before joining her on the bed. She leaned over, laying her head in his lap so her so he could play with her hair, âtwo weeks.â
âUgh,â she scrunched her face, âthatâs so weird.â
âItâs not that weird,â he laughed, âitâs nice. Weâre gonna be moving in together, every night can be like this.â
She smiled, sitting up, âseems too good to be true.â
He trailed his arm around her, letting her rest her head on his shoulder, âI know, every morning I actually have to pinch myself to make sure Iâm not still dreaming,â he melancholically smiled, âI have to make sure I have this life, that this is actually happening to me,â he looked down at her, âand that you're real.â
She bit her lip, smiling, âcheesy.â
âHey!â He defended, âI open up to you and get called cheesy?â
She giggled, âsorry, sorry,â she pressed a kiss to his cheek, causing his expression to soften, âI just think itâs cute you think I might not be real.â
âHow is that cute?â he laughed. She kneeled on the bed to now be taller than him, âbecause it means you love me.â
He laid back, pulling her down with him, âlove isn't a strong enough word, sweetheart.â
âHm,â she positioned herself on her elbows, âthen what is?â
âI don't think thereâs a word for it.â
âEnamored, adoration, agape?â
âDid you just open a thesaurus?â
She cackled, throwing her head back, âitâs called a brain, blondie.â
âSorry, Iâve never heard of that,â he joked.
She leaned up, kissing the corner of his mouth, âmost peopleâs are in their head, but yours might be here,â she held onto his bicep.
âWow, Y/N,â he sighed, âwhereâs yours then?â
She shrugged, sitting up to lean on the headboard, âconsidering I came on this quest, because I didn't want to leave you, I say here,â she answered, pointing to her chest.
âYour heart?â he grinned.
âNo, my boobs.â
He let out a bray laugh, throwing himself onto a pillow. She grabbed another pillow to hit him with.
âOw!â
âThat did not hurt.â
âIt couldâve,â he responded.
âYouâve been stabbed countless times, I think you can handle a feather pillow.â
âWow, hit me where it hurts,â he sarcastically replied.
âOkay,â she smiled, hitting him again.
âY/N!â He yelped, shielding his face with his arms.
She hit him again, and again, and again. When she finally stopped, he stared up at her in a way that his blue eyes might as well be shaped like hearts, âJason?â
âWill you marry me?â
Her eyes widened, she trailed his face, trying to figure out whether or not he was being serious. The way his eyebrows nervously creased and a soft smile curved on his lips, told her all she needed to know.
âWhen?â
He sat up with her, âreally?â
She bit her bottom lip before a smile found its way to her cheeks, âI love you more than anything, Jase. We might as well.â
He kissed her, tightly holding her face in his hands. She was first to pull away, although still tracing his bottom lip with her thumb, âthereâs a convenience store, across the street.â
âYeah?â
âI bet they sell ring pops.â
âOh?â he looked at her for a second, âletâs go.â He quickly got up, pulling on a hoodie. She followed, putting on a pair of leggings to pair with the oversized t-shirt that belonged to her boyfriend. Scratch that. FiancĂŠ. âReady?â He smiled with an outstretched hand.
She took his hand in hers, âready.â
They rushed out of their room in a fit of giggles. The thought they probably woke up a few of the other people staying there crossed both their minds for a quick second before the true situation was the only thing they could think about. They were gonna get married.
They stepped out to see the empty streets and sidewalks. She briefly looked up at Jason, âJay?â
âYeah?â He looked down to her with an unfaltering smile on his lips.
âAre we dumb?â
He thought for a second, looking at the stars that were so clear in the Vermont sky where there was maybe one streetlight in sight. âNo.â
She laughed, leaning her head against his arm as they crossed the street, where Jason insisted on looking both ways even though there wasn't a car in a hundred mile radius. âI think weâre idiots.â
âYou're the only one,â he paused, âI mean the only one who thinks that,â he defended, ânot the only idiot.â He stopped again before continuing, ânot that either of us are idiots, weâre very smart actually. This is a smart thing to do.â He kissed her head as she stifled laughs at the boyâs nervousness. He opened the door of the convenience store, letting her walk in first.
She crossed her arms, âwhen we get back to camp, Annabeth gonna be on our asses about this.â
âHey,â he turned around to grab both her hands, âyou wanna do this, right?â
She leaned up to kiss his lips, âmore than anything.â
âGood,â he grabbed something off a shelf to look at to divert his gaze from her shining eyes, âbecause I don't think Iâve ever been happier than right now.â
She tilted her head. She placed her hand under his chin to get him to look at her once more, âseriously?â
He looked around awkwardly. He then placed his lips to hers as he whispered, âyouâre the greatest thing in my life. I love you more than anything.â
Her smile beamed at him, âI love you, too, blondie.â
He laughed, âthen letâs get some rings.â
They aimlessly wandered the small store to look for the candy aisle. They giddily pranced into the section.
âOkay, whatâs your favorite flavor?â He asked her as they stood before the ring pops.
âCherry,â She leaned forward to grab the package, she turned to look back at the son of Jupiter, âwhat about you?â
âI don't know,â he shrugged, âIâve actually never had one.â
âNo way,â she grinned. âHere,â she picked through the flavors, âI think youâd like this one,â she handed him the blue raspberry candy, âit matches your eyes.â
âThanks, love,â he took it from her grasp before grabbing her free hand, âyou wanna go get married now?â
Her heart fluttered at the reminder of what they were truly doing. They were getting married. They were going to be husband and wife. Bounded by holy matrimony.
âYou okay?â
She quickly nodded, ânever been better.â
They hurriedly checked out and rushed out of the store. They both stopped in their tracks just outside of the store.
âWhere are we getting married?â He mentioned, looking down at the girl.
âYeah, I don't know.â
âWait, one second,â he let go of her hand to grab his phone out of his pocket.
âIf you get any single out here, I think itâs a sign we have to get married.â
He chuckled, typing into Google. âHey, wait, thereâs a chapel ten minutes away.â
âYou're kidding,â she responded, leaning against him to see his phone, âbut it closes in five minutes?â she frowned.
âHold on,â he dialed in the phone number he found on the website. He held his phone to his ear, a few seconds passed before he spoke, âhello? Sorry, I know itâs late but- yeah, we were hoping we could get married tonight,â he locked eyes with her as he continued, âuhm, Y/N L/N and Jason Grace,â he went silent for a minute, âreally? Thatâd be amazing, thank you so much. Weâll be right there.â He placed his phone back in his pocket, âweâre getting married tonight,â he couldn't have smiled any wider when he spoke.
She laughed in amazement. She jumped up, wrapping her arms around his neck, âweâre getting married!â she nearly shouted.Â
He kissed her hair, tightly holding her, âweâre getting married,â he slowly let go of her, âbut we have to hurry.â
âRight,â she nodded. I want to say that they flew there as in they just drove really fast, but they did in fact fly there. Above the wooded forest that lined the streets. When they finally arrived at the chapel, there was a singular light on by the front door and a sign with missing letters that read Elysium Wedding Chapel.
âElysium,â she spoke, âare you serious?â
âA little threatening,â Jason joked as they walked closer to the white building. He squeezed her hand as he knocked on the door.
An older woman, about 70 or so, answered the door. A smile donned her face as her eyes met the two, âyou must be Y/N and Jason! Come in!â She led the two of them into what looked to be a living room with pink and floral furniture that looked to be from the fifties or so.
âThank you for taking us so late,â Jason mentioned as the woman opened a large book. She stood under an arch adorned with fake pink flowers and green vines.
âNonsense,â she replied, âwe hardly ever get visitors,â another woman, who seemed a bit younger walked in, âoh! Hereâs my daughter, Alexandria, sheâll be your witness.â
âNice to meet you,â Alexandria said, âyou two look young, how old are you?â
âWeâre eighteen,â Y/N answered, her arm now locked with Jason and her hand holding his.
âOh my!â Both women exclaimed, causing giggles from the couple. The older woman seemed as though she was about to speak again but suddenly began looking around the stand where the book was on.
âGeez Louise, I lost my glasses again,â she shook her head, âIâll be right back.â With that, she scurried out of the room.
There was a moment of silence before Alexandria began to speak, âyou know why we call it the Elysium Wedding Chapel?â
They both shook their heads, momentarily sharing a look before turning back to the woman.
âElysium was the Greek equivalent of Heaven. So, when my mother and father opened this place, they thought about how romantic the Greeks were and decided to name it after their Heaven.â
âThatâs amazing,â Y/N responded. She then looked up at the blond, âright, sweetheart?â
He smirked, âyeah, the Greeks really were romantic.â There were those heart eyes again. He soon looked at the woman, âsheâs Greek actually,â his head motioned towards his soon-to-be wife.
âI should've known,â the elder added, âGreek girls are always the prettiest.â (iâm totally not just saying that because iâm greek.)
Y/N grinned, âthank you.â
The older woman once again came into the room, âfound them! Now, letâs get this show on the road.â She guided the couple to the arch, âyou two hold hands.â The two mirrored each other, both distracted by the adrenaline in their veins to think straight. It was finally becoming real, that they were to be married in the next few minutes.
âDearly beloved, we are gathered here today to join together this man and this woman in Holy Matrimony,â she turned to Jason, âdo you have vows you wish to read.â
They shared a look. Jasonâs hands sweated in Y/Nâs grasp. Sky blue eyes met e/c ones as his mouth opened, âY/N, I know you already know this, but I love you, so much,â he blinked in an attempt to stop himself crying, âI never thought that I could be loved in the capacity that you do. I always was taught to believe that I was nothing but a soldier,â he hesitated, realizing how strange that must've sounded to the strangers, âbut I think you freed me and Iâll forever thank you for that, Y/N.â âDamn it,â she mumbled as tears began to spill, âJason, if anyone asked, you are the most incredible person to walk this planet. You are the most selfless, caring, loving person I have ever met. Since the day I met you, I knew I never wanted to be away from you for a second, and there would be no greater gift than spending my life with you.â He let his tears rain down when she finished. He looked down as he tried to gather himself.
The woman turned to Jason, âdo you Jason, take this woman to be your lawfully wedded wife, to live together in matrimony, to love her, comfort her, honor and keep her, in sickness and in health, in sorrow and in joy, to have and to hold, from this day forward, as long as you both shall live?â
He sniffled, âI do.â
âDo you Y/N, take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband, to live together in matrimony, to love him, comfort him, honor and keep him, in sickness and in health, in sorrow and in joy, to have and to hold, from this day forward, as long as you both shall live?â
Y/N widely smiled, her cheeks hurting from how much she had done so that evening, âI do. I really do.â
âRings?â The woman questioned.
âRight, sorry,â he grabbed the bag he had left on a nearby table.
âOh!â The woman raised her eyebrows, âring pops?â
âThe only thing we could get on short notice,â Y/N mentioned, smiling through the tears on her face.
âOkay, then,â the woman laughed, ârepeat after me,â Jason tightly held onto the cherry candy, âwith this ring, I thee wed.â
âWith this ring, I thee wed,â he slipped the ring onto the girl.
Y/Nâs hands began to shake, âwith this ring, I thee wed,â she repeated.
The woman clasped her hands together, âby the power invested in me, I pronounce you, Jason Grace and Y/N L/N, man and wife. You may kiss the bride.â
Jason took her face in his hands, bringing their lips together. She could taste the salt on his lips from the tears, but that didn't matter. All that mattered was that she was kissing her husband.
They left the chapel, hand in hand. No words were said on their way back to the motel. They had said everything they had needed to say for centuries. But just before they entered the room, Jason stopped her.
âWhat?â She questioned, looking around.
He opened the door before turning back and picking her up bridal style, âI had to,â he smiled. She threw her head back, laughing. She wrapped her arms around his neck as they walked into the room. He placed her softly on the bed, hovering over her.
âI love you, Mrs. Grace,â he whispered just as he pressed a kiss to her lips.
She brushed her thumbs against his cheeks, âI love you, Mr. Grace.â He kissed her once more, âhm, you take good, too.â
He chuckled, âso do you.â
âI think we should always eat ring pops before we kiss.â
He kissed her neck before looking back up at her, âanything you want.â
-----
bonus!Â
Y/N and her secret husband sat side by side on the grass of Camp Half Blood alongside the rest of the Seven as well as Nico and Will.
âWhy are you wearing an old ring pop?â Annabeth queried.
âOh, uhm,â Y/N panicked as she scrambled to find an answer.
Leo interrupted before she could say anything, âI was asking Jason the same thing earlier!â
Thatâs when the daughter of Athena noticed the matching ring on the boyâs left ring finger. She looked back up at Y/N, âyou didn't.â
âAnnabeth-â
âYou got married!â the blonde girl exclaimed.
Everyone crowded around the two asking questions about what happened.
âI canât believe you didn't tell us,â Percy commented, crossing arms.
âWe didn't tell anyone,â Jason defended, âwe barely knew what was happening!â
âI can't believe you didn't choose me as your best man,â Leo offensively added.
The blond rubbed his forehead, âI didn't have a best man at all, Leo.â
âHow did it happen?â Piper questioned, leaning closer to the two.
âIf you guys would shut up for five seconds, weâll tell you,â Y/N responded.
They both went on to tell the group everything. From the pillow fight, to the vows. The way they laughed and talked over each other made them realize that husband and wife was the simplest way you could describe them.

Darry Curtis x Home Baker Reader
Basically Darry with sunshine reader but shhhhhhhh
For the loml @st4rgzer
â For starters, heâs so supportive
â Just freaking adores your baking
â You get very good at baking chocolate cake because youâre making it. Constantly.
â He also just thinks your the sweetest thing ever (pun intended)
â About kills Dallas a couple times for criticizing you or your baking
â Speaking of Dallas, you and him have a similar relationship to what he had with Mrs.Curtis
âDallas Winston why is there a cigarette lit inside my house?â you ask as you walk into the living room. âIâm puttin out, Iâm puttin it outâ he mutters as he stubs the cigarette on the ashtray on the coffee table. âYâknow, I donât even know why you have this thing if you and Darry are so anti-smokesâ he says, you roll your eyes âyou just used it, didnât you?â You ask incredulously, smile playing on your lips. âYea yeaâ he mutters
â The gang calls you and Darry, Mom and Dad
â Darry claims not to like it
â Secretly heâd be so sad if they stopped
â Let me just reiterate that this man ADORES YOU.
â He gets home from work and immediately asks you about your day, wonât tell you about his until you atleast say âit was goodâ
â If you say itâs bad he offers to let you talk about it
â Most nights consist of you massaging his back and shoulders while you two talk about your day
âWell I delivered a pie to this older woman over on the East Side and she was just the sweetest thing! Oh she was lovely Darrel, and her husband too? Gosh they were just the kindest soulsâ you giggle as you ramble on about your day. âThat oughta be us someday, yea?â He hums, turning around from where heâd been leaned against your chest to kiss your cheek. âI think that could be arrangedâ
â Also, you call him Darrel and he loves it
â Donât get me wrong, you also give him a billion nicknames, along with his preexisting ones
â But the way his name sounds from your lips just drives him nuts
â Also the boys love you
â Not just Pony and Soda, but the whole gang
â You, rather quickly, took on a motherly roll
âThose better not be work boots on my freshly mopped floorâ you call over your shoulder as you hear Soda and Steve come inside, two quick âSorry!ââs sound from the living room as they turn back around to put the boots on the porch
â You bake Darry (and all the boys) a cake for his birthday.
â Not just the regular chocolate cake heâs been making constantly his whole life. But a nice, double layered, decorated, dream. It took you all day.
â He cries.
â Darry refuses to let you help more than absolutely needed for bills so you buy things for him and the boys
â You buy Pony some nice, new, good condition books, and that boy decides that if Darry ever breaks up with you heâs running away
â Yea no, Soda and Pony are on your side in any and every argument
â Not that you and Darry fight often
â Maybe once every couple months, but you never go to bed angry.
â The day he realizes heâs in love with you is when he came home from work to both his brothers asleep on the couch next to you, and you folding laundry
âNow whatâs all this?â He smiles, coming over to kiss your forehead. âThey had rough daysâ you tell him. âSo youâre babysitting?â He asks, you playfully glare at him. âItâs not babysitting, itâs comfortingâ you say, he just hums. âAnd laundry is a part of comforting?â. You roll your eyes, carefully getting off the sofa. You walk over and put your arms over his shoulders. âWill you ever just let me help around here without telling me I dont have too?â You hum, he shakes his head, leaning down to kiss you. âDarâ. I like helpinââ you say softly, he smiles against your cheek, where heâs pressing small kisses âI know you do. Youâre so amazing. So so so amazingâ
â He just adores having someone like you around
â Swears up and down no one as great as you has or will ever exist
â Your kinnda known around Tulsa as the âsweet baker girlâ so people leave you alone
â The gang jokes that youâre the joining force between Socs and Greasers
â But on the off chance someone does mess with you?
â Darry raises hell
â And if youâre physically hurt?
â He basically puts you on home lockdown because he does not want you to see the side of him that whoever hurt you is about to see
â On a less violent note!
â He always makes sure you have fresh flowers
â No matter what.
â Even if it means picking some from some garden. He makes damn sure you have fresh flowers

loml | G. Satoru
angst, arranged marriage;
-
You had to excuse yourself from the table. The sight of a woman, whoâs now the fiancee of the man who swore heâd give you the stars and the moon, intertwining her fingers with his. It made you want to throw up. Your heart clenched in the worst way as you stepped out of the cafĂŠ.
Such an idiot. He really thought it was a good idea for me to meet her.
You left for a few years and you came back to this. The love of your life marrying someone else.
He had to excuse himself too, following you outside. He gently tapped your shoulder once he reached you.
âHey, is everything okay?â He asked, his signature smile on his lips, which immediately faded when he sensed something was off.
âYeah, Iâm fine, just needed some air.â You replied.
âYouâre a terrible liar.â He leaned back on a wall next to you.
A dry chuckle escaped your lips. âI hate that you know me well.â
His expression continued worried. âTalk to me. Whatâs wrong?â He was still your best friend after all.
You sighed. âI donât know, I just donât feel very comfortable.â Uncomfortable was an understatement. You felt like your heat was being ripped out of your chest.
He nodded. âYou donât feel comfortable seeing us together.â You didnât want to admit it to him, but he already knew.
âCan you blame me? How was I supposed to expect you were going to marry someone⌠and so suddenly.â You looked away from his eyes, you felt ashamed.
Satoru let out a frustrated sigh and ran a hand through his hair. "I... I'm sorry. I didn't mean to surprise you like this. It's just..." He took a deep breath, trying to gather his thoughts and articulate what he wanted to say. He knew that there was no easy way to explain the situation.
âIt's just... my clan. They basically forced me to marry her. They wanted someone from another powerful family to continue their bloodline. It's a stupid tradition, I know..."
He paused for a moment, his eyes searching your face for any sign of understanding. He wasnât trying to make excuses, he just wanted you to understand the difficult position he was in.
You sighed. âI canât even be mad at youâŚâ As much as you wanted to blame him for it, you couldnât. You knew it wasnât his fault, or hers.
Satoruâs shoulders relaxed, relieved that you weren't angry at him. He took a step closer to you, his hand gently reaching out to touch your shoulder. He looked into your eyes, his expression filled with guilt. "I never wanted this, you know? I never wanted to marry someone I donât even love...â
You took a deep breath, looking away from him. âYou look good together, might be convenient.â
Satoru's jaw tightened as he clenched his fists at his sides. He knew deep down that what you said had some truth to it, but hearing it out loud made him feel a pang of frustration and anger. "Is that all you see it as? A convenient arrangement? Do you think I actually wanted this, that I'm happy to marry a woman I don't even love?"
âI know you donât, but thatâs what it is now.â You were saying things you didnât mean, your logic fighting with your emotions.
Satoru's expression softened once again. He knew you were right, but hearing it from you stung nonetheless. He let out a defeated sigh and leaned against the wall. "Yeah... you're right. That's what it is now. A convenient arrangement that I'm forced into."
You looked at him, seeing his sad eyes made your heart ache. âIâm sorry this is happeningâŚâ You sighed.
Satoru shook his head, his eyes falling to the ground. He appreciated your sympathy, but it didnât make the situation any easier to bear. âDonât be sorry. Itâs not your fault. Iâm the one who should be apologizing to you. I should have told you about this sooner..."
After a short silence you spoke. âDonât invite me to the wedding.â
Your words hit Satoru like a punch to the gut. He flinched slightly, his mind spinning. He hadn't even considered the wedding. And now, hearing you refuse to attend... It hurt. A lot. "You... what?â
You press your lips, your eyes were getting teary âGod, donât even tell me the date or the place.â
As your eyes filled with tears, Satoru's expression turned pained. He hated seeing you like this, but he knew he was the one who caused it. He swallowed the lump in his throat and spoke quietly. "I... I won't tell you the date. But... Damn it, yn. Will I even see you again before that?"
âWould it make sense to?â Your tears finally ran down your cheeks.
Satoru's voice caught in his throat. He knew the answer to your question, but it didnât make it any easier to accept. He took a deep breath, trying to keep his composure. "No... it probably wouldnât make sense. But damn it, I donât care. I want to see you."
You slightly shook your head. âItâs not fair⌠for me or for her.â Your voice cracked. You wanted to tell him that you loved him and youâd wait for him. To run away with you.
Satoru frowned at your words, his brows furrowing. "Since when were you so concerned about what's fair? Since when has life ever been fair to us?"
âYouâre right. Nothing is fair.â Your voice became firm as you looked at him again.
Satoru took another step closer to you again. "Exactly. Life's not fair, and we've both been through our fair share of unfairness. But that doesn't mean⌠that doesn't mean we have to give up on the things we care about."
âSo what will you do, huh? What, Satoru?â You were getting irritated, this whole situation wouldnât have been happening if you didnât leave for that stupid mission. âAre you going to ignore the fact that youâre getting married and meet me behind them all?â
Satoru let out a frustrated exhale, running a hand through his hair. He knew that what he was about to say next was wrong, but he couldnât help himself. "Yes. Thatâs exactly what I want to do. I want to ignore that Iâm getting married and continue seeing you. I donât want to lose you."
You looked at him in the eyes that were now tearing up despite looking angry. âYou know you canâtâŚâ
Satoruâs heart sank as he watched the tears well up in your eyes. He knew you were right, but he couldnât bring himself to accept it. "Damn it yn, I know! I know itâs stupid and selfish, but I canât help it. I canât bear the thought of losing you."
âI donât want this either⌠but youâre losing me.âThose words escaped your lips hurting both the both of you. Those words resounded loudly as if they were the only words that could be heard.
Satoruâs heart squeezed in his chest as you said those words. He took a step back, his arms hanging limply at his sides. "Youâre right, I did. But I donât want to accept it. I donât want to accept that I canât see you anymore. That I canât touch you.â
âItâs time to start facing it, Satoru.â You said quietly looking away.
âEasier said than done⌠how do you expect me to feel when Iâm losing the woman I love the most in my life.â He said irritated.
âAnd how do you think I feel? Coming back after two years to see you hand in hand with the perfect woman?!â You almost cried saying this, feeling like you had a knife twisting in your chest.
Satoru took a deep breath, trying to steady himself. He hated seeing you so upset, and it was killing him knowing that there was nothing he could do to change the situation. "I wish things could be different. I wish I could choose who I wanted to be with. But the clanâŚ" He trailed off, his voice filled with bitterness.
âItâs always the clanâŚâ You said under your breath. âThereâs no more today say. You⌠you should go back inside. Weâve been here for so long.â You wiped your tears with the back of your hand.
Satoru looked conflicted. He didnât want to go back, he wanted to spend more time with you, but he knew he didnât have a choice. He reluctantly nodded, his expression resigned. "Yeah, youâre right. I should go back."
He looked at you, his eyes red and tear stained cheeks. âIâm sorry, yn. I really amâŚâ
âI am tooâŚâ
The both of you parted ways. Walking back to your new lives without each other. It turned from calling the love of your life to loss of your life.

FermĂn Lopez (FCBarcelona) - loml
Requested: yes
Prompt: 46) "Are you going to undress me with your eyes or are you actually going to do something?"
FermĂn x f1driver!reader
Warnings: it's just really long tbh oh and there's some fluffy smut, and then SMUT unprotected sâŹx, oral (f receiving), light cursing
The final whistle blew, signaling the end of the match and the season for FermĂn Lopez. The crowd roared as the team celebrated their victory on the field, but FermĂn's mind was already elsewhere. He high-fived his teammates, a wide grin on his face, but his heart was set on the upcoming reunion he had been longing for.
As he made his way through the tunnel towards the locker room, a wave of exhaustion hit him. The season had been grueling, filled with highs and lows, but now it was over. And that meant only one thingâhe could finally see Y/n again.
After a quick shower and a change of clothes, FermĂn stepped out to the press area, where the media eagerly awaited. He was greeted by a barrage of camera flashes and microphones, but he was used to this. He spotted a familiar face in the crowd, the team's usual reporter, and gave a nod in her direction.
"FermĂn! Over here!" she called, and he made his way towards her. "Great game out there, FermĂn, also an incredible goal. How does it feel to end the season on such a high note?" The microphone leaned towards him. "It feels amazing." He replied, his smile broadening. "The team worked really hard, and itâs great to finish strong." The reporter nodded. "So, what are your plans for the summer?" She asked, leaning in with interest. FermĂnâs eyes sparkled as he answered. "Iâm heading to Monaco to visit my girlfriend, Y/n. She has just raced there, and I canât wait to see her. Weâve been apart for a month because of my games and her races, and itâs been tough. But Iâm really excited to be there to support her."
The reporter's eyes widened with curiosity. "That sounds wonderful! How do you manage the long-distance relationship with both of your busy schedules?" FermĂn sighed. "Itâs not easy, but we both understand each otherâs passions and commitments. We talk every day, and we support each other from afar. Now that the seasonâs over, Iâm just looking forward to spending time with her and cheering her on."
"Thatâs great to hear. Best of luck to Y/n in her race, and enjoy your summer, FermĂn." FermĂn smiled."Thank you." He said, giving her a polite nod before moving on to the driver car park. As he walked away, FermĂn couldnât help but feel a rush of excitement. In just a few days, heâd be in Monaco, the picturesque city by the sea, watching Y/n race. He could already picture her, focused and determined, the way she always was when behind the wheel. For now, though, he had to wrap up his duties here. He answered a few more questions, signed some autographs, and finally, with a sense of fulfillment and anticipation, made his way out of the stadium. The warm evening air greeted him as he stepped outside, and he took a deep breath, savoring the moment. In a few short days, heâd be with Y/n. And that thought alone made everything worth it.
------
The flight to Monaco felt like it took forever, even though it was only a few hours. FermĂn spent most of it restless, unable to sleep despite his exhaustion. His mind was consumed with thoughts of Y/n and how it would feel to hold her again. As the plane descended, his excitement grew, making him almost giddy with anticipation.
Finally, the plane touched down, and FermĂn quickly grabbed his bag and made his way through the airport. His heart pounded with each step closer to the arrivals hall. As the automatic doors slid open, he scanned the crowd, his eyes darting back and forth. And then he saw her. Y/n stood there, looking as beautiful as ever, her eyes searching for him in the sea of faces. The moment their eyes met, her face lit up with a radiant smile, and she broke into a run.
FermĂn dropped his bag and opened his arms wide just as Y/n leaped into them, wrapping her legs around his waist and her arms around his neck. He held her tightly, spinning around slightly as the world seemed to disappear around them. "I missed you so much," Y/n whispered into his ear, her voice filled with emotion. "I missed you too." FermĂn replied, his voice thick with the same feeling. He pulled back slightly to look at her, their faces inches apart. "I can't believe I'm finally here with you." She smiled, her eyes glistening with unshed tears. "Me neither. It feels like forever."
They shared a soft, tender kiss, the kind that spoke volumes about their time apart and their joy in being together again. After a moment, FermĂn gently set her down but kept an arm around her waist, unwilling to let her go completely. "How was the flight?" She asked, her hand resting on his chest. "Boring." He said with a chuckle. "But worth every minute now that I'm here with you." Y/n kissed his cheek. "Come on, let's get out of here," Y/n said, grabbing his hand and leading him towards the exit. "I've got so much to show you and so little time before the race."
"So, where to first?" He asked, a playful grin on his face. "Well-" Y/n said, her eyes twinkling with mischief. "There's this gorgeous hotel room with a seaside view if you'd like a tour." FermĂn bit his lower lip, in an attempt to hide his grin. "Lead the way." He whispered, kissing her hand before she practically hauled him and his luggage out towards the exit of the airport.
-------
The couple walked through the bustling streets of Monaco. The sun was setting, casting a golden glow over the beautiful city, as the tourists and racing enthusiasts filled the streets, their conversations blending into a lively hum.
As they turned a corner near the harbor, a group of fans spotted Y/n and hurried over, their faces lighting up with excitement. "Y/n! Y/n! Can we get a photo with you?" One of them called out. Y/n laughed and nodded. "Of course!" FermĂn watched as the fans gathered around Y/n, their admiration for her evident. One of the fans handed FermĂn a phone, asking, "Could you take the photo for us?" Y/n looked over to FermĂn, expecting a lighthearted joke about him not being asked for a photo but his reaction was the complete opposite. FermĂn's heart swelled with pride. "Absolutely." He said, taking the phone. He backed up a few steps to get a good angle, making sure to capture the picturesque background of Monaco along with the smiling faces of Y/n and her fans.
"Alright, everyone say cheese!" FermĂn called out, snapping a few photos. The group giggled and struck different poses, and FermĂn happily obliged, capturing each moment. After taking several photos, FermĂn handed the phone back to the fan. "Here you go. I hope they turned out okay." The fans checked the photos and thanked him enthusiastically. "They're perfect! Thank you so much!" Y/n turned to FermĂn with a grateful smile as the fans walked away, chatting excitedly among themselves. "Thank you babe. You're the best."
FermĂn shrugged modestly, but his eyes shone with happiness. "I'm just living my life as a Formula One wag. This is the way." He chuckled. "Easily the best wag." She smiled, taking his hand in hers again as they continued on their walk.
-----------
FermĂn stepped out of the sleek black sports car, the warm Mediterranean breeze tousling his hair. The stars sparkled against the inky sky, casting a gentle glow over gorgeous city . He rounded the car to the passenger side, a smile playing on his lips as he reached for the door handle. Inside, Y/n watched him through the window. FermĂn was always the gentleman, a trait that never failed to make her feel cherished. As he opened the door, he held his hand for her to take and of course, she did. As she gracefully stepped out, her elegant dress shimmering under the streetlights. As the young driver steadied herself, her fingers interwined with her boyfriend's. His eyes sparkled as he looked at her, admiration evident in his gaze. "You look stunning." He murmured, his voice soft and sincere.
"Thank you." She replied, her cheeks warming. "You don't look so bad yourself." As they stood there, sharing a quiet moment, a few onlookers gathered at a respectful distance. The romantic gesture did not go unnoticed, and soon, cameras were clicking, capturing the sweet scene. Fans who recognized both FermĂn and Y/n couldn't help but smile at the adorable couple. They smiled and waved, interacting with the fans who stayed respectful towards them, something that the couple found they would only have in Monaco. "Ready for dinner?" FermĂn asked, leaning in. "Absolutely." Y/n replied, her excitement matching his.
Hand in hand, they made their way towards the entrance of the restaurant. The ambient lighting and chic decor promised a cozy, intimate evening. They were greeted by the maĂŽtre d', who led them to a secluded table by the window, offering a breathtaking view of the shimmering harbor. As they settled into their seats, FermĂn reached across the table, his hand finding hers once more. "I've been looking forward to this all week." He said, his thumb gently caressing her knuckles.
"Me too." Y/n agreed, her smile brightening the room. "It's nice to have some time just for us." Their conversation flowed effortlessly, laughter punctuating their words as they enjoyed a delicious meal. The world outside seemed to fade away, leaving only the two of them in their perfect little bubble. After ordering, they took a moment to appreciate the view. The lights from the yachts reflected off the dark water, creating a magical atmosphere. "I was thinking today-" FermĂn began, breaking the comfortable silence. "About how far we've come." Y/n tilted her head, curiosity shining in her eyes. "Oh? What brought that on?" FermĂn shrugged, a fond smile playing on his lips. "I guess it's just being here with you. Monaco has always been a dream destination for me, and now I'm sharing it with the person I love. It feels like I'm in a movie or something."
Y/n squeezed his hand. "I wouldn't be mad if you proposed right now." Y/n joked as FermĂn smiled lovingly, almost considering proposing, yet he nodded, his gaze locking with hers. "Do you remember our first trip together? We got lost in that tiny village, and you insisted we try to find our way without a map." She laughed, the sound like music to his ears. "In my defense, I had been in that town many times before. I didnt think I needed a map." FermĂn bit his lip to hide his smile. "And how did that go for us?" Y/n shrugged as she sipped her wine. "Well, we made it out of that town, didn't we?"
Their meals arrived, and they took a moment to savour the delicious flavors. Between bites, they continued to reminisce, sharing stories and laughter. "Amor?" FermĂn said, setting down his fork. Y/n across to him. "The whole point of this thinking is that the one thing I've found is that it doesn't matter where I am or what I'm doing, as long as I'm with you." Y/n's eyes softened. "Babe, you're going to make me cry and this mascara was very expensive."
FermĂn leaned closer, his expression turning serious. "I want to promise you something, Y/n." She felt a lump grow in her throat as she looked between his eyes and down to his lips. "No matter where life takes us, I'll always be by your side. Through every high and low, every twist and turn." He squeezed her hand yet again, reinstating his promise to her. "And I promise the same, FermĂn. All that and more." FermĂn brought Y/n's hand to his lips and placed a gentle kiss onto it. "Now, let's eat." He smiled, lifting his fork once more and beginning to eat as the couple indulged in new topics of conversation.

------------
Inside their apartment, the ambiance was peaceful and inviting. Soft lighting created a warm glow, and the distant sound of waves crashing against the shore provided a soothing background. Y/n slipped off her heels by the door, sighing in relief as she wiggled her toes. "Want some tea before bed?â FermĂn asked, heading towards the kitchen. âThat sounds lovely.â Y/n replied, getting up off of the sofa to follow him. She watched as he expertly prepared their favourite herbal tea, the familiar routine bringing a sense of calm and comfort.
"Now, amor. It's hot so be carefu-" Y/n gasped as the hot tea touched her tongue. FermĂn began laughing, setting the two cups aside. "I just told you to be careful." He said, his hands now holding both sides of her face. Y/n's hands found his. "You should've been quicker." She retaliated playfully. "Or maybe you should slow down." They stood there for a moment, the quiet music FermĂn had put on earlier in the background as they found themselves swaying along. "Today was wonderful." Y/n said softly. "Thank you for making it so special." FermĂn moved a strand of hair from her face. "And thank you for being so unbelievably perfect for me."
Finishing their tea, they made their way to the bedroom. FermĂn started to unbutton his shirt, while Y/n slipped into the bathroom to change. When she returned, wearing a comfortable pair of pyjamas, FermĂn had already laid out her side of the bed and was brushing his teeth. She joined him at the sink, playfully nudging him with her elbow. âScoot over, I need some space too.â He chuckled, making room for her. They brushed their teeth side by side, occasionally bumping shoulders and sharing amused glances in the mirror. When they finished, FermĂn wrapped an arm around her waist, pulling her close.
âReady for bed?â He asked, his voice low and tender, his lips pressing gentle kisses onto her neck, trying to tempt her back to bed with him. âMmh, almost.â Y/n hummed, her head falling back slightly as she watched him through the mirror. âI just need to wash my face.â FermĂn nodded, giving her a quick kiss on the cheek. "Take your time." He grinned before cheekily slapping her ass. "FermĂn Lopez MarĂn!" She squealed as he headed to the bedroom to wait for her.
Shortly after, Y/n entered the bedroom, she saw him staring at her, hungrily. He was propped up on his elbows as his gaze swiftly moved from her face down to the shirt she was wearing; his shirt. She leaned against the door, an amused smile tugging ag her lips. "Are you going to just undress me with your eyes, or are you actually going to do something?" She asked innocently. "Come here then." He replied. Y/n walked slowly towards him, their eyes not daring to dart away from one another. She stopped at the end of the bed before crawling up towards FermĂn. His breath caught in his throat as she climbed on top of him, her hands exploring his bare chest as he looked up to her in complete awe that someone could be this beautiful. His lips needed to taste hers. And so, he bridged the gap between them. Y/n's fingers tangled in his her as FermĂn's hands roamed Y/n's body. Their kisses became deeper and deeper. Y/n found herself moving her hips, desperately trying to find some form of friction.
She felt him smile into their kiss. "Please, let me." He whispered into her lips. Y/n hummed. FermĂn reached down to undo the string of her shorts as Y/n promptly helped him to take them off. As Y/n wrapped her arms around his neck, FermĂn had managed to flip them both over so he was now on top. His lips trailed away from hers, peppering a gentle trail of kisses down her body. A smile tugged at her lips as he kissed both of her thighs, looking up at her just as he always did. "Ready?" He asked. Y/n nodded. He always asked, it was his way. He didn't want to make her uncomfortable. He was completely and utterly obsessed.
His tongue licked up her slit sending a shiver down her spine. She arched her back with the sudden pleasure she was receiving and the gorgeous sounds leaving her mouth was all FermĂn needed to know she was doing alright. His tongue slid in and out of her, his nose rubbing off her clit every so often. Her head fell back as she felt her core tightening. "FermĂn." Y/n whimpered. "You're doing good so far, amor." Y/n sighed, smiling and caressing the strands on hair on his head. Her mouth fell open as she felt herself coming closer and closer to her high. "Ferm- FermĂn." She moaned. He kept at his pace, lifting his eyes up to look at her as she came undone. She grabbed the bed sheets, her knuckles turning white as she crumbled, moans tumbling from her as FermĂn kissed back up her body until he reached her lips once again. "Are you okay?" He asked gently. Y/n ran her fingers through her hair, nodding. "I'm okay, but I need more of you."
FermĂn reached down to his boxer shorts, quickly taking them off and aligning himself with Y/n. His lips licked with her's as he pushed in, muffling her moans. "Good girl." He muttered into her lips. He waited until she adjusted to him, her arm hooking around his shoulders. She nodded, FermĂn began to roll his hips against hers as their forehead leaned onto one another. Her hand reached up behind his neck, pulling him in for a kiss.
Her eyes rolled shut as FermĂn started slowly. He remembers their first time together, Y/n got hurt and since then, he's always started slowly until she says she wanted more. He watched her face carefully as he focused on giving her as much pleasure as she gave him. "FermĂn, you can go faster." She whispered. FermĂn's head fell to the crook of her neck, his hips jolting forward that bit faster and deeper, hitting a different spot than before. She planted kisses on his cheek, a form of reassurance that she was okay. FermĂn however felt himself coming close. He didn't want to finish before she did but Y/n could feel him inside of her. She could tell how his hip movements grew irregular and needy and how his pants turned to groans. "Are you close, love?" Y/n purred in his ear. He groaned upon hearing her voice, not being able to give any answer other than a hum. "Come on, love. You're doing so well." That was more or less all he needed for him to climax.
"Mierda. I-"
"That's okay." She smiled, her fingers caressing the side of his face. He looked down at her confused. "Inside you? With no protection?" Y/n shrugged. "You're my boyfriend. I don't mind." FermĂn smiled, pecking the tip of her nose. "How about we get you to finish then, yes?"
"I already did."
"No, no. I mean together. I want to feel you." Y/n looked between his eyes, chuckling. "You don't think you being in me already is you feeling me?" FermĂn and Y/n burst into a small fit of giggles. "Okay, okay. We can go another round." FermĂn's smile faded as he took one of her legs and placed them over his shoulder. Y/n's brows raised. He had never done this position before, but she trusted him completely. His hips rolled forward once again, hitting a spot in her that had never been hit before. "Oh my god." The two of them let out a synchronised sigh. Y/n's hands flung to FermĂn biceps, gripping and leaving behind white scratch marks on his tanned skin. He once again sped up, drilling into her like he never usually did, but in her current state, Y/n couldn't complain; she enjoyed it too much. "FermĂn, I'm close!" She nearly screamed. FermĂn gripped her hips, pulling her down to meet him. She felt her core tightening as she grew closer and closer to her orgasm. "FermĂn, oh my god!" She screamed. "Hold on for me, princesa." He murmured. "I'm close too." Y/n winced. "I don't know if I can."
"I know you can. You're already doing so well for me." It took everything in her to not cum, waiting and waiting for FermĂn to tell her he was about to finish. She grew more and more sensitive, eager to reach her orgasm and then finally, FermĂn could feel himself twitching. "CoĂąo. Tan bonita cuĂĄndo dentro de ti." While she only understood a little Spanish, it always pit her over the edge and this time was no different. She finally let go and let herself come crumbling beneath him as he held her in his arms doing the exact same thing. Their sweaty foreheads rested against eachother as they rode out their orgasms, panting and catching their breath.
He pulled out gently and headed for the bathroom to grab a towel. "Im sorry if it was too much." He whispered as he helped to clean her up. "Sorry? I enjoyed it." She smiled back. He pecled her lips lovingly before chucking the towel into a small wash basket. He walked back to the bed and wrapped his arms around her, pulling her onto his chest.
"So, you enjoyed it?" FermĂn chuckled. Y/n looked up. "Yup. Best sex of my life." She replied. "Ah so I'm doing better." Y/n giggled. "You could say that." He grinned, looking down towards her, pure adoration in his eyes like always. "I was writing my wedding vows in my head that whole time." Y/n burst out laughing at the joke. "You're such an idiot!"
"Yeah, but you love me." Y/n shrugged. "That's true. And I assume you love me?" FermĂn nodded. "Of course I do."

8⨠with virgin Eddie cos heâs the loml
'I look you in the eyes, I try to read you thoughts. I ask you to go with me, to a far off place.' virgin!eddie (well, not so virgin anymore) from the 'the nerve' one shot. (18+, references to drinking. implied stancy wedding.)
Eddie didn't really love to dance. He always felt awkward, never really getting the beat to anything that wasn't related to a guitar slung across his chest. His hips always moved too jerkily, he never knew where to put his hands. When Mrs. Mitchell from across the park tried to teach him to waltz for prom he stepped on her toes so much she needed a brace.
It didn't even matter for anything, he didn't go to prom. That's another reason he doesn't like dancing, or dances. Couples nuzzling close while they hold their partners -- what was the point when no one was gonna dance with 'The Freak' anyway?
He drums his fingers along the white cloth covered table to the beat of the DJ's thumping music, sipping his third glass of pinot noir. You had stepped out to run an errand for Nancy and Steve after the ceremony, 'maid of honor' duties you called it. Something about fashion tape and bandaids for blisters. While the music slows down he feels his heart sink, another dance where he sits alone in the low light. It comes back to him in a haze, two months before his senior prom -- He woke up early to take a shower and shave the little facial hair that had started to grow on his upper lip and chin. Painstakingly finger coiling every wave on his head with gel he knicked from the five and dime down the street. He asked Wayne if he could borrow his smart black button down and Wayne even pressed it before he left for work the night before -- hanging it up in the living room by the mugs. He wore he least ratty jeans and cleaned his Reeboks with a toothbrush and bleach. Eddie had never felt more together, more sure, and if he would say so himelf -- more handsome than he did that morning.
He cracked open his campaign notebook to the last page where he'd scrawled a script he'd been working on for at least two weeks:
Hi Chrissy What's up, Chris? How are you, Chrissy? Hey Chrissy.
I know you might not be expecting this but This might come as a surprise, but I was wond It would be an honor if Would you want to go to prom with me? Prom?
It was the first time he was ever at a loss for words. Tripping over himself any time she'd ask for a pencil in Bio or walk by the drama room on her way to cheer practice.
He stopped at Melvald's for a small bouquet of daffodils -- it was all they had that morning, and made his way to school, stomach full of butterflies while he played the potential outcome in his head over and over. He knew he had to have caught her looking every now and again. Giggling at his jokes in class. Always asking him for a pencil or a ruler when she could ask anyone else.
He parks in the spot furthest from the school, using the brisk walk to calm his nerves. With a few rolls of his shoulders he pushes through the main doors to his locker, only four down from Chrissy's. She'd be there any minute, ponytail bouncing, lips glossed.
He leaned against the wall, checking his watch and each end of the hallway, a flurry of students making their way in and out. The humdrum of the morning making his heart beat faster, the slamming of metal, the sneakers on the tile.
And there she is -- a blonde beacon of something special. She's smiling -- grinning. Looking right at him. He gets up off the wall, heart racing -- This is it Munson, he thinks, you're gonna ask her.
Chrissy's smile turns into a jump, a celebration of sorts -- and from behind him, another cheerleader appears, running up and jumping with her. They hug tight, screaming the way girls do when they're excited about something.
"He literally made a sign for the whole team to hold on the field!" she titters, "I can't believe he asked me!" "You're going to prom with Jason! Ahhh!" her friend screams back.
Going to prom with Jason.
Jason Carver? That asshole?
The hallways spins, his heart has never dropped so fast before. He'd never felt something so fast before. Dissappointment? Embarrassment? Rage? He wasn't sure. All he knew was that Chrissy was going to prom with Jason Carver, and everything he planned was for nothing. Just standing there in the hall way with --
"That's a pretty bouqet, Eddie," Chrissy voice floats by, bringing him back to himself, "Whose the lucky girl?"
Coulda been you, he thinks.
His face sours, "Wouldn't you like to know."
Eddie's heart breaks again when she backs off, making her way to class when the bell rings. He chews on the inside of his cheek the whole way out of the school and back to his van -- making sure the shove the daffodils in the trash on the way out.
Right now feels the same, the only young guy sitting around while couples get up and jump around to Whitney's I Wanna Dance with Somebody when the music switches. He finishes his glass of pinot, sighing while he stands up to get another at the bar. He knows better, but something his gnawing in the pit of his chest -- that ache. He wishes you'd come back so he didn't have to keep putzing around like a lost puppy. Even Dustin had Suze out on the dancefloor.
Another ten minutes pass and he's settled back down at the table, the speakers rumbling down to a slow beat again, Luther Vandross's gentle croon floating over the room. Eddie swallows.
'Always and forever, Each moment with you, yeah Is just like a dream to me That somehow came true, yeah...'
It's then that he feels a warm hand on his back, sliding up to his shoulder, nails gliding comfortingly into the back of his hair. "Hi handsome," your voice like salve on his heart, "Did you miss me?" He turns, entranced by the way your dress hugs you and the scent of the perfume you have on tonight. There was no denying he picked right, no denying that he was right to wait for you this long.
"Of course, sweetheart," he smiles, smiling into the kiss you lean down to give him.
"You've just been sitting here while I was gone?" you furrow your brow, "C'mon, get up. Come dance with me."
He flushes, "No, no I'm...I'm not good at it..."
"Neither am I," you shrug, offering your hand, "C'mon."
He looks at your manicured nails, the bare finger that he wants to put a ring on now more than ever, then up at you. That little smirk you give him has never sold him quicker. With a deep breath he takes your hand, letting you lead him to the dance floor.
"Y'know, I've never slow danced with anyone," you say quietly, guiding his hand to your waist while you hold the other close to his shoulder. Eddie pulls you close, nose to nose, toe to toe. He can handle the gentle sway you start him with, a slow two step, winding bodies.
"Not even your ex? Seriously?" Eddie asks, mesmirized by your glossy lips.
"He never wanted to dance at the weddings we went to," you shrug, "Always thought it was lame. But I like to dance."
"What about prom?" he asks.
"I um," you look down and back up at him, "I didn't go to prom."
"No? How come?"
"Uh," you offer a tight smile in rememberance, accepting it, "No one asked me."
Eddie stops moving, hand holding yours going to your cheek. "No one asked you?"
You shake your head, "It ended up being okay, had a movie night with some other weirdos."
He remembers his own anti-prom with the guys, pizza and beer that he got Rick to buy for him.
"But it's okay," you reassure, "Cause now I get to have my first slow dance with you."
"We're doin' a lot of firsts together, aren't we?" he teases.
"Yeah," you nod, "And this is like, y'know, kinda like prom." "Sort of," he laughs, pulling you tighter, two stepping again to the rhythm. You give him a mischevious smile, teashing.
"Are you going to the after party? I hear they're gonna have winecoolers," you joke.
Eddie grins, boyish, "Oh yeah, yeah, I'll be there."
"Good 'cause uh," you lean to to whisper, giggling at your own bit, "They're gonna play seven minutes in heaven."
"No way," he gasps in fake astonishment, "Is there uh -- is there anyone you're hoping to land on?"
"Well um," you flick your eyes as him flirtily, "There's this one guy."
"This one guy?"
"Yeah and I was hoping like, after the dance." you continue in an exaggerated Valley Girl accent, "We could like, make out after."
"Yeah?" Eddie asks, voice deepening, smoky.
"Yeah."
"Yeah, we can um," he leans in to kiss you, deep and slow, "We can definitely make out after."

hey lover! series
YOU MOVED A LOT OF THINGS AROUND TO BE HERE. But you would rather be here than in a stuffy plane for the next day anyway. You sipped your beer, satisfied as your Sukuna shirt merch moved along with your little groove. The night of Sukunaâs concert finally arrived, and the atmosphere was electric.
The venue was packed with fans buzzing with excitement, each one eager to see him perform live. You had managed to snag a private box for the event, a little piece of luxury where you could enjoy the show away from the crowd while still being close enough to feel the energy radiating from the stage.
As the lights dimmed, the crowd erupted into cheers, and you couldnât help but feel a thrill of anticipation. The sound of the guitar riff echoed through the arena, and Sukuna made his grand entrance, the spotlight illuminating him as he stood at the center of the stage, confidently gripping the mic. He looked every bit the rock star in his stylish outfit, and your heart raced at the sight of him.
From your box, you watched in awe as he effortlessly commanded the stage, his charisma pulling everyone in. As the music flowed, Sukuna began to scan the audience, and to your surprise, his gaze landed on your private box. His eyes lit up with recognition, and a huge grin spread across his face.
You couldnât help but smile back, your cheeks flushing slightly as you waved. The moment felt electric, and as if the entire venue held its breath, fans below began to notice the interaction. Whispers spread like wildfire, followed by excited shouts and gasps.
âDid he just smile at someone in the box?!â
âOMG, itâs Y/N! Heâs looking right at her!â
âISNâT SHE SUPPOSED TO BE IN PARIS RIGHT NOW?!â Â
âWHAT THE FUCK, SHE DELAYED HER FLIGHT???â
âGUYS HEâS MELTING HEâS BEING CHEESY OH MY GOD!â
The energy in the crowd shifted, amplifying as they realized what was happening. Screens around the venue captured the moment, broadcasting your shared smiles across the big screens, and fans lost it. The sound of excited screams filled the air, and it felt like the entire arena was reacting to the undeniable chemistry between you two.
âLook at that! Theyâre totally a thing!â one fan shouted, waving a sign that read âY/N & Sukuna Forever!â
You laughed, slightly embarrassed but thrilled at the reception. Sukuna, clearly enjoying the moment, leaned into the performance, still occasionally glancing over at you, his smirk not wavering. It was like he was feeding off the crowdâs excitement as much as they were feeding off his energy.
âCan you believe this?â you said to your friend who joined you in the box. âTheyâre all going wild just because heâs looking this way!â
âI mean, can you blame them? Itâs a whole româcom moment happening live!â your friend teased, nudging you playfully.
You roll your eyes, hiding how flustered you were. âYeah, yeah, we get it.â
As the concert continued, Sukuna would steal glances your way, each time eliciting louder cheers from the audience. The more he performed, the more he incorporated little winks and smiles directed at your box, and you couldnât help but feel like the luckiest person in the world.
During a particularly upbeat song, Sukuna jumped down to the edge of the stage, getting even closer to the crowd. He pointed at you, and the fans erupted again, screaming as if heâd just proposed on stage.
âHE POINTED AT HER!âÂ
âOH MY GOD, OH MY GOD â HEâS DOWN BAD???â
âHEÂ SO LOVES HER, THIS IS NOT NORMAL BEHAVIOR!â
âWHAT IF THEYâRE GETTING MARRIED?!â
âFRIENDS MY ASS??? JUST KISS HER SUKUNA, DAMN!â
As the chorus hit, Sukuna broke out into a playful dance, bringing more attention to your box. You felt your face heat up as you waved again, this time with a mix of shyness and excitement. The audience was eating it up, chanting your name mixed with his, a rhythm that echoed throughout the venue.
By the end of the concert, the energy was still palpable, and the crowd was buzzing with excitement. As Sukuna finished his final song, he took a moment to look around, soaking in the atmosphere. His gaze found yours one last time, and he blew you a kiss before bowing dramatically to the roaring crowd.
The fans around you lost it, squealing and cheering as if the arena had just witnessed a historical moment.
After the show, you found yourself flooded with messages and notifications. Fans were posting clips, photos, and every angle of the moment that had unfolded during the concert.Â
âSukuna and Y/N are officially the cutest couple!â one tweet read.Â
Another captioned a photo, âWhen the rock star notices you, and the world stops!â
You couldnât help but grin, realizing that this night would only deepen the playful speculation around you both. As you left the venue, you felt a wave of joy wash over you, knowing that every little moment you shared with Sukuna was turning into something special for both of you and the fans.
Backstage, Sukuna approached you, a wide grin still plastered across his face. âDid you see their reaction?â he laughed, running a hand through his hair. âI think they might have liked it a little too much.â
âJust a little.â you replied, your heart racing. âYouâre unbelievable! You really know how to work a crowd, darling! Well done you!â
He shrugged nonchalantly, his eyes sparkling with mischief. âWhat can I say? Itâs all about showmanship⌠and having the best company.â
Sukunaâs smirk deepened as he stepped closer, his towering frame casting a shadow over you. The energy backstage still crackled with the high of the performance, and your pulse raced just being near him. His eyes, sharp and gleaming with amusement, locked onto yours as he leaned in, his breath hot against your ear.
âSpeaking of the best company,â he murmured, his voice low and teasing, âI think you owe me a little celebration, donât you?â
Your cheeks flushed, but you met his gaze with a playful glint of your own. âIs that so? What kind of celebration are we talking about?â
His grin widened, showing off his fangs. "Oh, something intimate, doll." he purred, his hand sliding around your waist, pulling you against his firm chest. His fingers traced light circles along your lower back, sending sparks through your body.
Your breath hitched, but you managed to keep your voice steady. "You want a reward for being irresistible on stage? Or just for being... you?"
He chuckled, his lips brushing against the shell of your ear, causing you to shiver. "Why not both? I think I deserve it, don't you?" His hand traveled to the back of your waist.Â
You swallowed hard, your heart pounding at the intensity in his gaze. "Maybe... maybe you do. IâŚI do owe you dinner before I go to Paris.â
He grinned at you. âSounds like a treat.â
â˝âââââââââââĽ
YOU WERE STILL EXHAUSTED, HAVING JUST LANDED IN L.A. But you supposed thatâs just how life is for you. Sukuna was probably on a plane to Asia by now, to do the Asian leg of the tour. So his phone would be off. Still, you messaged him, telling him he should get a good rest and that he should eat. Another text, wishing him good luck for his upcoming concert in two days. And another to remind him to call you when he can. Â
A few weeks after the concert, you found yourself on the set of a popular late night talk show, to promote your latest stage play work. Everything in you was just buzzing with excitement with the right hint of nerves. You were there to promote your latest projectâa film that had just wrapped productionâand the buzz from Sukunaâs concert was still fresh in everyoneâs minds. Fans and media alike were eager to know more about your budding connection with the rock star.
As the cameras rolled and the host welcomed you onto the stage, the audience erupted into cheers. You waved, feeling a rush of adrenaline. The conversation started off smoothly, discussing your film, the challenges you faced during production, and the amazing cast you had worked with.
Then came the question that made your heart race. âSo, Y/N, we all saw you at Sukunaâs concert a couple of weeks ago! Itâs your first time attending a Sukuna special, wasnât it? How was that experience for you?â
You smiled, reminiscing about the electrifying atmosphere. âOh, yes. It is the first time. It was absolutely incredible! Sukuna is such a talented performer, and the energy in the venue was unmatched. I had a blast!â
âBut I heard that you had a schedule before this, you had something going on in Paris?â
âI did, yeah. So it was for an ambassadorship shoot for a brand Iâve worked for a while and I had to go already and the invite, it was really last minute because I wasnât really sure Iâd make it.â You giggled as you saw the picture of you beside your friend on the screen. âMy original flight was around the time the concert was happening. So, I was just like, âfuck it, weâll sleep on the planeâ; I called Sukuna, he already for a long time reserved a box for me.â
âThat is just next level sweet, because he didnât even know you were going to say yes and he still reserved that private box for you.â The host grinned as the people swooned over the revelation. âThat must have touched you a lot.â
âIt did.â You admitted, smiling from ear to ear. âSukuna was just happy to see me there and I couldnât be more thankful to just be welcomed and be a part of his world for a little while you know? It was amazing.â
The host nodded, clearly intrigued. âAnd speaking of Sukuna, I couldnât help but notice he posted a rather adorable picture of you two after the concert. Whatâs the story behind that?â
Your heart skipped a beat, and you felt your cheeks heat up. You hadnât expected to be asked about the picture so directly. âOh, um⌠well, we were just having a fun moment backstage after the showâŚ.a lot of adrenaline left off from the stage!â you stammered, trying to maintain your composure.
The host leaned in, a teasing glint in their eye. âJust a fun moment, huh? Because it looked a little more than just fun to me! Fans are shipping you two harder than ever! How does it feel to have that kind of attention?â
You chuckled nervously, glancing at the screen where the picture was displayed. It showed you and Sukuna laughing together, a casual yet intimate moment that captured the chemistry between you. âI mean, itâs nice to have fans that are supportive, and I think it's fascinating how people are really interested in it all. â you said, trying to play it cool. âBut weâre really important to each other. Heâs my darling and Iâm his doll. Weâre great together.â
The audience erupted in playful laughter and cheers. âGreat together indeed. Cause both of you look like youâre ready for a rom-com!â the host chimed in, smirking.
You took a deep breath, your heart racing. But you grin. âI mean, arenât we already doing a româcom in Jujutsu Kaisen? Your lover sacrifices everything to be with you and becomes the King of Curses for you? A keeper!â
âRight?â the host grinned, clearly loving the playful banter. âBut fans canât help but wonder if thereâs something more youâd like to show for it, especially after that concert moment. You know, the whole âknight in shining armorâ vibe.â
âOkay, okay, I see how it is!â you said, laughing to cover your flustered state. âI canât deny that he has a way of making things fun. My darlingâs just like that. But well, perspectiveâs important!â
The segment continued, but you could feel the teasing energy lingering. After the show, social media exploded with clips of your interview, and fans were buzzing with excitement over every little interaction you had with Sukuna.
Later that evening as you head to dinner, you waited out the traffic by scrolling through your SNS feed, you noticed a new post from Sukuna. It was a picture of you both from the after tge concert. You were both back stage and he held your face close, still in the zone from adrenaline of the stage. Though this time he added a cheeky caption:
âWho knew my lucky charm could steal the spotlight? Just saying, Y/N, youâd make an amazing concert partner! Thanks for coming, doll! đśâ
You felt your face flush as you read through the comments.Â
âTHEYâRE OFFICIALLY DATING! I CAN FEEL IT IN MY BONES!â
âSukuna is just down right down, and Iâm here for it!â
âSomeone get these two a româcom deal ASAP!â
âSUKUNA CAN YOU FIGHT??? Y/N MY BELOVED <3â
âYO HEâS SMILING SO HARD IN THAT PHOTOOOOO, HES DOWN BAD!!!â
Your heart raced at the playful nature of his post and the overwhelming response from fans. As the notifications continued to flood in, you decided to send Sukuna a quick message.
Youâre such a dork. Canât believe you posted that!
He replied almost instantly, What can I say? I like posting about you, doll! Besides, you looked amazing that night. Canât help it. I gotta make no names jealous of me.
Feeling a mix of giddiness and slyness, you typed back, Thanks, bubs. Iâm pretty sure everyoneâs jealous of me too. Because they like you a lot. And Iâm with you. But then again, people are just guessing.
Let them think what they want, he replied with a wink emoji. To be fair, doll, thatâs all part of the fun for me. And who knows? Maybe thereâs something more. Always a lot of room for you, doll.
Your heart skipped a beat at the implication, and you couldnât help but wonder what the future held for both of you. The playful teasing, the chemistry, and the supportive friendship were all creating something special, and you found yourself excited about what was yet to come.
As the days went on, you embraced the fun of the speculation, realizing that maybe, just maybe, there was something more blossoming between you and Sukuna that you both were yet to fully explore.
â˝âââââââââââĽ
YOU WERE EXCITED TO RETURN TO TOKYO. Not only because you missed seeing your extended family, but because you were going to finally reveal the months of hard work that bore the next season of Jujutsu Kaisen. You like to think that this season is the one you were most proud of. Not only because you finally got to play more than flashback scenes, but also the first meeting of Hiromi and Sukuna in a thousand years. You know that the fans would be just as excited as you.Â
As you walked out of your car, stunning in your bright silver embroidered kimono, you were just waving towards all the fans you could see. Everyoneâs excitement was palpable, you know that much.. The red carpet was packed with fans, media, and of course, the cast.Â
You and Sukuna finally meet each other on the red carpet, looking stunning and greet each other with the warmest smiles and greetings. You both were surely ready to celebrate the launch of the new season. Fans lined the streets, holding signs and screaming for their favorite characters, and the energy was electric.
After the screening, the cast gathered for a Q&A session, with reporters firing off questions about the new season, character arcs, and behind-the-scenes fun. The mood was lively, and everyone was clearly enjoying themselves.
Then came the infamous game of âFuck, Marry, Killâ and you knew it was only a matter of time before the question landed in your laps.
The red carpet host grinned as they turned to you first. âAlright, Y/N, letâs start with you! Who would you Fuck, Marry, and Kill from these cast? Sukuna, Nanami and Mahito.â
You paused for a moment, a playful glint in your eyes. âHmm, letâs see⌠Iâd have to marry Sukuna, Fuck⌠maybe Nanami, and killâsorry but Mahitoâkun! Sorry Nanaâkun, Donât have a choice!â
Laughter erupted from the audience, and you could hear the cheers from fans who were thrilled by your answer. But it didnât stop there. The host turned to Ryomen Sukuna, a mischievous grin on their face. âAlright, Sukuna, your turn! Who do you choose? Y/N, Uraume and Naoya.â
Sukuna smirked, leaning back in his chair. âEasy. Marry Y/N, Fuck Uraume and uhhhhhhâŚ..killâNaoya Zenin! No apologies!â
The crowd went wild. The laughter and applause swelled as fans processed the fact that both of you had chosen to marry each other.
âDid you hear that?!â someone shouted from the audience. âThey want to marry each other!â
âWait, are they actually dating?! Are they really!?â another fan exclaimed, their voice rising in excitement.
You exchanged amused glances with Sukuna, both of you trying to keep straight faces amidst the chaos.
âWeâre just interesting together!â you insisted, giggling as you waved your hands dramatically as if to emphasize your point, but the playful glint in your eyes said otherwise.
The host chuckled, clearly enjoying the moment. âRight, sure! Just friends who want to marry each otherâtotally believable!â
As the cheers and laughter continued, the excitement reached a fever pitch. Fans were snapping photos and tweeting in real-time, the clips of your answers flooding social media.
âOMG, did Sukuna and Y/N just confirm theyâre in love?!â one tweet read.
âThey're the ultimate power couple!â another one chimed in.
âIâm officially declaring them a couple!â
The energy was infectious, and as you and Sukuna tried to maintain your composure, you could see the delight in each otherâs eyes.
As the panel wrapped up, you found yourself walking out with Sukuna, surrounded by the buzz of excitement. âWell, that was something, isnât it?â you laughed, shaking your head. âI canât believe we just did that!â
âHey, they asked the right questions, doll.â he replied with a smirk. âAnd I meant every word!â
You felt your cheeks flush, both from the teasing atmosphere and the undeniable chemistry that hung between you. âYouâre ridiculous, darling.â you said, nudging him playfully.
âMaybe, doll. But at least weâre entertained, donât you think?â he shot back, his eyes twinkling with mischief.
You shook your head, smiling. âI suppose so.â
As the night continued, you both enjoyed the attention, the playful speculation, and the excitement surrounding the premiere. It felt like the perfect blend of friendship, chemistry, and the thrill of the unknown, and you couldnât help but wonder just where this journey would take you both next.
Later that night, after all the excitement of the premiere had settled, you found yourself scrolling through Twitter, still buzzing from the energy of the event. Your timeline was flooded with clips from the Q&A, including the moment you and Sukuna had declared your âmarriageâ to each other. You couldnât help but chuckle at the reactions pouring in.
Feeling a playful urge, you decided to quote-tweet the video. âJust a casual night at the premiere! đđ #JujutsuKaisenSeason2Premiereâ
Almost immediately, the notifications started flooding in, and the laughter continued as your friends from the cast began to chime in.
â@Y/NTheOne Canât believe you both chose each other! Are we taking bets on the wedding date?â Yuji (@YUJIITAAA) teased, adding a winking emoji. â@ItsRyoSukuna, unc! You better watch out, grandma and grandpa would wanna know when the wedding is!"
â@Y/NTheOne Next time, maybe choose someone a little less deadly for your âmarriageâ or something!â Nobara (@BARABARA²)quipped, her tone dripping with playful sarcasm. âBut hey, at least youâll have a killer wedding party!â
You couldnât help but laugh at their banter, but that wasnât the end of it. Maki Zenin joined the conversation, tweeting, â@Y/NTheOne Just remember: If you get married, Iâm the one picking the outfits. No pressure!â
â@ZZZZZMaki If youâre in charge, Iâm definitely eloping!â you replied, trying to keep a straight face.
Even the official Jujutsu Kaisen account (@JJKOFFICIAL_EN) jumped in, tweeting, â#JJKFamily is all about love! Who else is rooting for our favorite couple?â The hashtag started trending, and fans went wild, eagerly discussing the playful exchanges.
As the notifications kept pouring in, you could see Sukuna (@ItsRyoSuku) had also quote-tweeted the video, simply stating. âOnly label needed is #MyDoll, you know?.â The simplicity of his tweet only fueled the fire further, and you could hear the collective gasps from fans as they interpreted it in a million ways.
With each new tweet, your excitement grew, but so did the teasing from your castmates. â@Y/NTheOne I swear if you donât invite us to the wedding, Iâm crashing it!â Gojo jokes, adding a laughing emoji. âGotta involve your work hubby!â
You rolled your eyes, a smile plastered on your face. â@GojoRuRu7 Iâll let you be the best man if you promise to keep the sunglasses on at all times.â
Your phone buzzed again, this time with a DM from Sukuna. Youâre really good at riling up flames. Love it, doll.
You smiled at his message, feeling a warm flutter in your chest. It works because youâre so good, bub. But Iâm glad weâre riling it up more. Itâs fun.
He replied almost instantly, Fun? You call this fun? I call it now â this is the start of our next big project. Reality show, anyone?
With a laugh, you typed back, As long as I get to pick the outfits!
Just then, your friend and castmate Shoko (@SHOSHOKO)chimed in, adding more fuel to the fire. â@Y/NTheOne And you know weâll all be tuning in for that show! Would watch the chaos unfold any day!â
The laughter and teasing continued throughout the night, with fans and castmates alike enjoying the playful banter surrounding your so-called âmarriage.â It was clear that you and Sukuna had unwittingly become a part of a larger narrative, one that thrilled both your fans and castmates.
As you continued to interact with everyone online, you couldnât help but feel a sense of excitement and joy. The playful teasing only added to the fun atmosphere, and you looked forward to what the future might holdâboth for your career and your friendship with Sukuna.
The night concluded with a group chat among the cast, where the jokes and memes continued to fly. â@Y/NTheOne Ready for the wedding planning? Iâm bringing the snacks!â Yuji sent, eliciting more laughter from everyone. "My mom and my grandma are ready to help out!"
â@Y/NTheOne Donât forget to send me the dress code! I want to look fabulous!â Nobara added.
You sat back, grinning as you took it all in. This whirlwind of fun, laughter, and playful speculation was something you never wanted to end, especially with Sukuna by your side. The unexpected bond you were forming felt like the start of something beautiful, whether it was for the fans or just the two of you.

OURS â TREVOR ZEGRAS
trevor zegras x fem!reader
part of the Speak Now Fic List
summary: in which y/n and Trevorâs relationship is constantly being criticized by outsiders but they know their love is real.
warnings: references to nsfw activities, hate from outsiders, dialogue heavy, not proofread
notes: written semi-quickly, shorter than my other recent works, idk how i feel about this one, but itâs done and i hope yâall like it. ending is kinda iffy but oh well.
it seems like thereâs always someone who disapproves of Trevor and iâs relationship.
my parents donât like his carefree and confident demeanor. his younger brother didnât trust me because i was someone new. his friends didnât like that i write songs about exes and my relationships.
but most of all his fans and the media, judge us like they know us personally.
mostly judging me.
as a singer, my every move was criticized and picked apart. what i wore was either too homely or too dressed up. i was too skinny or too big. my heels were too tall, but then my nikeâs were too âtom-boyishâ. but the judgement had only seemed to get worse once i started dating Trevor.
suddenly his fans were saying i wasnât good enough for him. analyzing our body language in photos and claiming that i didnât act like i liked him. saying i was using him to further my fame.
but on the other side, i had my fans commenting that i was too good for him. citing his previous playboy ways and saying that he wasnât smart enough or mature enough for me. claiming his bad boy attitude drew me in and that i would âcome to my sensesâ soon.

my converse squeak against the marble floors as i leave my execs meeting, catching the attention of many up and coming artists that are waiting in the lobby. i can feel their gazes following my every move, from when i stop in front of the elevator to when i press the down button, and i canât help but laugh in my head; reminiscing of when i was the same way. star-struck and in awe whenever i saw any artists leaving the same doors i just walked out of.
but now, having been in the business for two years, that feeling has come and gone, replaced by small talk with those very same people that i once looked up to.
âhi.â i smile politely at a redheaded girl that sits close to the elevators, a notebook in her hand and stars in her eyes.
she looks around, as if searching, before she lets out an awkward chuckle. âoh- hi!â
the elevator dings twice before the doors open to another crowd of wannabe pop stars, and i step aside to let them out before waving a goodbye to the doe-eyed redhead and stepping into the elevator.
iâm excited to get back to my boyfriend, but that excitement vanishes when i scroll through twitter on my uber home.
â
â
oh- that was fast.
i canât help but scroll through the replies and quote tweets, and by the time i arrive back home, iâm disheartened to say the least.
i thought i was being nice by greeting her? even if i couldnât stay and talk. but apparently i should take this as a lesson for the future, donât say hi to anyone unless i can stay and chat.
and my mood only worsens when i make it into the house, calling out my boyfriendâs name, to which i get no response.
âTrev?â my voice echoes off the walls of our home as i step into our bedroom, in search of the six foot tall hockey player. but i come up empty, finding that he still isnât home from training camp.
i slide my phone from my pocket, drafting up a text before ultimately trying my luck at a phone call instead.
the outgoing ring reaches my ear twice before it stops, the call picking up.
âhey babe, whatâs up?â Trevorâs tone is light and airy, painting an immediate smile across my lips.
âhey, i was just checking in.â i sit upon the fuzzy white blanket thatâs folded along the foot of our bed, running my hands over the soft fabric. âi thought training was supposed to end at noon?â
âoh, yeah, it did.â he confirms, and i can hear someone else talking in the background. âJimbo and i decided to grab lunch and catch up a bit.â
âoh, okay.â i nod, despite the fact that he canât see me, and i can hear him conversing with someone.
âshh. hold on.â he tells someone. âhe wants to say hi.â
i laugh as Jamieâs voice comes through the line. âHEY Y/N!!!â
âhi Jame!â i reply, listening as he grunts, wrestling the phone from Trevor, i assume.
âiâve missed you!â he sounds closer now, while Trevor sounds farther away, calling out for his phone back, confirming my suspicions. âwhen do i get to see you again?â
âiâve missed you too. if itâs alright with Trevor, and if youâre free, you can come over for dinner tonight?â i tell him. âi can go to the store and grab stuff to make my garlic and basil chicken pasta.â
âoh my favorite! iâm in! i donât care what Trevor has to say about it, to be honest.â his response causes me to laugh, while my boyfriends calls out an offended âhey!â
âsee you later!â Jamie yells, as i assume Trevor gets his phone back.
âdid you need anything else, babe?â Trevor asks distractedly.
âno, nothinâ else.â i stand, gathering my car keys from my nightstand. âactually, iâm gonna go grocery shopping, can you think of anything we need?â
âcondoms,â he replies unabashed, and i blush at the thought that Jamie heard him. âand frosted flakes. i finished âem off this morning.â
i roll my eyes before teasing, âthe condoms or the frosted flakes?â
âboth.â my skin heats up at the reminder of our morning activities, Trevor having woken me up before the sun even came up.
âoh- uh- okay.â Trevor laughs as i stumble over my words. âiâll grab some moreâŚof both.â
âthanks, love you!â he waits for my reply before hanging up, and i pad out of the bedroom, slipping my shoes back on by the front door before heading out to my car. i wasnât big on driving, usually letting Trevor take that responsibility, and avoiding it when possible, so i only really used it when i had to go grocery shopping, relying on ubers to go anywhere else.
i slip into the drivers seat, huffing when i find that Trevor messed with my seat again. a harmless prank he likes to pull, just to see when i drive again and if iâll notice. i adjust my seat before i pull out of the driveway, the radio playing faintly to fill the silence.
*
iâm nearly done with my shopping trip when it happens.
âhe still uses those?â iâm mid-tossing the family size box of Frosted Flakes in the cart when the words reach my ears, and at first, i donât even notice theyâre being spoken to me. âhe always said it felt like he was wearing nothing.â
i glance over to find a tall blonde standing next to my cart, staring down at my items.
âiâm sorry?â my brows furrow in confusion.
âoh- the condoms. Skyn Elite? Trevor used them back when he and i used to hook up a couple years ago.â the girl smiles, the supermarket lights reflecting off her sparkly lip gloss. âyouâre his new conquest, right? y/n?â
âiâm his girlfriend, yes.â i nod, pursing my lips together in a straight line.
âright,â she nods. âgirlfriend. you got the envied title.â
âi guess so.â
she gives another falsely innocent smile. âgood luck keeping it! heâs insatiable, is he not? seemed like he was always keeping an eye out for the next girl.â
iâve never particularly cared about the ghosts of Trevorâs hookup past. why would i be? i had them too, so who was i to be bothered by his? besides, right now, heâs mine. iâm the one he comes home to; the one he loves and talks about a future with.
âwell, i should get going.â i tell her, already beginning to push the cart towards the end of the aisle, in route to check out. âit was nice to meet you.â
i was lying, sure, but i wasnât going to let her get to me.
she bids me goodbye as i walk away, and when i glance back, i see her faux smile drop, her eyes rolling as she sneers, turning the other way.
yeah, i pretty much expected that.
*
iâve just made it into the kitchen, dropping the grocery bags onto the counter, when my phone begins to ring, buzzing in my pocket with an incoming call.
i do an awkward dance of trying to free my hand from a twisted bag handle, before retrieving the vibrating device from my pocket, my fathers contact taking up the screen. pressing accept, i hold the phone up to my ear.
âhey, dad!â i chirp, opening the refrigerator to begin unloading the food.
âhey, pumpkin. what are you up to?â his voice drifts in my ear as i put away a gallon of milk.
âjust unloading groceries.â i inform him. âwhat are you and mom doing?â
âoh, nothing.â he sighs. âjust missing our little girl.â
i laugh at his dramatics.
âi know, i need to come visit.â i stuff a few cartons of berries and a bag of grapes into the fruit drawer before shutting the fridge.
âso catch me up, honey. whatâs new?â
ânothing really. iâm working on some new music, and i had an exec meeting this morning to discuss how the album is coming. but other than that itâs same old same old.â
i open the cupboard, taking care of the box of cereal and a couple bags of chips as i speak.
âand youâre still dating the uhâŚâ he trails off. âthe one with the tattoos?â
i can hear the disapproval oozing from his voice and my eyes roll in my head.
âTrevor, yes.â i confirm, walking down the hallway to our bedroom and placing a few things on Trevorâs nightstand before setting a new bottle of shampoo on our bathroom counter.
âyeah, him.â he sneers, and itâs then that i hear the front door open, two sets of footsteps reaching my ears. a smile spreads across my face as Trevor calls out my name. âi donât understand why anyone would do that to their body. thatâs permanent, ya know.â
âmhm.â i hum in disinterest. âhey, dad, i gotta go. iâll call you later.â
âoh alright, honey. love you!â
âlove you too.â i hang up the phone as Trevor steps into the room, smiling at the sight of me.
âthere you are.â he beams. his arms snake around my waist, pulling me against him, and his head dips down to bring his lips to mine.
âhere i am.â i mumble against his lips, causing a chuckle to arise from his throat.
âJamie is in the living room. followed me home claiming that he had to see you.â he tells me, his eyes lighting up at the mention of his close friend.
âyeah, i invited him over for dinner.â i inform him. my hands cup the back of his neck, pulling him back down for another kiss.
my whole body relaxes, any tension disappearing when his lips meet mine. his eyes scan my face as he pulls away, and his faces falls, his lips forming an exaggerated frown.
âwhatâs wrong?â he whispers, tucking a lock of hair behind my ear before pulling my head to his chest.
his heartbeat echoes in my head, calming me immensely.
ânothing.â i mutter, my eyes falling shut when he begins rubbing circles on my back.
âi donât believe you.â
âitâs nothing, really.â i insist. ânothing thatâs actually bothering me. just a little annoyed.â
âwhat annoyed you, baby?â he sways us back and forth and his hand on my back trails down to tickle at my side, making me giggle.
âwell,â i sigh and he pushes me back to look into my face. âi said hi to a girl at warner today-â
he hums, encouraging me to keep talking.
âbut it was just a quick âhiâ. apparently sheâs a fan of yours, and she thought it was rude of me to greet her and then not stay and chat.â i explain. âso she took to twitter to say so.â
Trevor huffs, his nose scrunching in annoyance. âwell thatâs just stupid. you donât owe anyone a conversationâŚ. except me. because you love me, obviously.â
i laugh at his joke, making his face light up at his successful attempt to cheer me up.
âwhat else, baby?â
âwell then, at the store, i ran into one of your ex-hookups.â i continue, and his brows thread together in confusion.
âwhich, ya know, doesnât bother me.â i clarify. âbut she made a comment on the condoms we use and implied that our relationship wouldnât last long.â
âour love is not hers to speculate on.â he gruffs out in annoyance, and i nod along.
âi know. so i walked away.â
âiâm proud of you, love.â he presses a kiss to my forehead, a smile resting upon my face as he does. âis that all?â
âalmost.â i breathe out. âthen i got home, and my dad called as i was putting away the groceries.â
âokay.â he nods, obviously confused why i would be annoyed about my father calling.
âand he made some snide remarks about your tattoos.â Trevor barks out a laugh at that, quite used to people commenting on the art that adorns his skin.
âi ignored them, and hung up pretty much right after, because you got home. but, i just wish he could look past them, because then maybe heâd see the kind, funny guy that you are and understand why iâve given my heart to you.â
his eyes squint as he grins at my words, bending his neck to pepper kisses across my nose and cheeks. i squeal at the affection and he pulls back to look me in the eyes.
âbaby, i donât care what your dad thinks of me. only that you like me. and iâm pretty sure that you love me just the way i am.â
i nod, biting my lip and holding back a smile. my cheeks turn hot, a blush settling over them, and he smirks at the sight.
âi donât want you to worry your pretty little mind, baby.â he coos. âso someone was wrongfully upset that you didnât take time out of your day to talk to themâ who cares? people like to throw rocks at things that shine. and you, my darling, shine so beautifully bright. theyâre just jealous.â
i roll my eyes at his cheesy statement, but the sentiment warms my heart. âthank you, Trev.â
âany time, baby.â he pulls me in for another hug, my head resting on his chest again. âour love is ours. nobody elseâs. what other people have to say about it, and about us, doesnât matter.
âyou hands belong in mine, my heart belongs to yours, and no matter what life throws at us, iâm by your side.â
i open my mouth to respond, but iâm cut off by another voice.
âaww, that was sweet.â
i lift my head from Trevorâs chest, our heads both turning towards the entrance to our bedroom to find Jamie standing there with a cheesy smile.
âJimmy, what are you doing in here?â Trevor lets out a wheezy laugh at his friend, his head dropping back and his shoulders shaking. the sound is like music to my ears.
this man.
i am so irrevocably in love with him.
âi got bored.â Jamie shrugs. âyou guys were taking forever.â

Her gaze drifted over to the guard sitting on a chair near the huge metal door. She couldnât help but scoff dryly when she realized that he was asleepâpeacefully snoring. âWhat a prick.â, she whispered under her breath, before turning back to the Winter Soldier.
And for a brief moment, their eyes met, and he tilted his hair to the side... long brown hair softly falling on his shoulder. She couldnât help but wonder who he was before all of this. He used to be someoneâs baby. Some mother held him in her arms.
The Winter Soldier kept on staring at her. He reckoned that he had stopped wishing for things a long time ago, but in that moment he wished he could have read her mind. Know why she was looking at him with an emotion that wasnât fear or bitterness. He swallowed thickly.
âI meant what I said, by the way.â, she unexpectedly spoke up, her voice cracking. She cleared her throat instantly:â I do think that youâre a good man, underneath all of this. I donât know your name, and I doubt you do at this point. But please, try to remember that someone in here believes in you.â
She scanned his features but only saw how his left nostril twitched. âWhat are you doing?!â, a loud voice suddenly reverberated through the room, making her flinch. A second later, her face made contact with the cold floor. A groan escaped from her lips and when she opened her eyes to look at the grey tiles, there were a few splatters of blood. Her blood.
âYou know the rules!â, the guard shouted, pulling her by her upper arm:â No talking to the subject!â His voice was rough and brutal, and the fist that hit her cheekbone was the same. The Winter Soldier watched. He knew what would happen if he attempted to interfere. She knew it too.
âI justâŚâ, Sam began, looking at his sister:â He is distancing himself from me, and I donât know why. Do you think I said something wrong?â Bucky and Sam were visiting Sarah and the children at her house. Samâs eyes move over to the window, he watches how Bucky plays with his nephews outside. But even at this moment, there is some bizarre new emotion hiding in the eyes.
âI figure you tried talking to him.â âHeâs brushing it off.â Sarah nods and sighs:â Well, I understand that you only want to help him. And I love you for being so caring, but you know him by now. He needs his time. Maybe he is still trying to figure it out himself.â At the sound of her phone ringing, she gets up and walks out of the room.
Sam knows she is right, he scoffs softly. âThe Lady with the milk will be here any second.â, Sarah says as she enters the kitchen again:â Do you think you can help me with the cartons?â Her brother only nods.
Outside Bucky perks up at the sound of a vehicle approaching. A white van, with images of cows on the sides, drives up the road and parks right in front of the lake house. He observes how a woman with short black hair gets out of the car before he continues to throw the frisbee heâs been holding in his hands.
âSarah! Itâs good to see you!â, the woman lets out and Sarah, who is walking down the stairs opens her arms. âY/N! Iâm so happy, too.â Bucky freezes up. Itâs as if every nerve ending in his body catches fire. His head snaps back to the woman. Y/N?
He watched how the guard dragged her out of the room. And despite her having blood all over her shirt, she was smiling at him. She couldnât be mad at him for not doing anything.
âBucky?â, Sam, who is leaning against the doorframe frowns his eyebrows as he watches over his friend's weird behavior:â You alright?â
Y/N! Oh god. Y/N! Thatâs it. Holy shit.
âY/N!â, he repeats and points at the woman, like a child who just learned a new word. It leaves his lips like a promise he has made years ago. The woman blinks at him before she nervously chuckles:â W-What?â âY/N.â, he throws the frisbee on the ground and storms up the stairs into the house, nearly tripping over one of the stairs. He softly shoves Sam out of the way before scanning the room for his jacket.
âTalk to me, Bucky!â
âY/N!â, Bucky simply repeats, his pupils dilated:â Her name⌠itâs Y/N! Of course!â And with that, he quickly rushes out of the house.
