....so right now is a great time to remember that I made an Undead fWhip crack theory post One Entire Year Ago,
...Okay. I promise I'm still reacting to the Empires finale with fun fluff instead of making it angstier with AUs. I'm still...mostly doing that. But.
fWhip is a guy who survived a very un-survivable explosion. A guy who woke up with no items and a memory gap after surviving said explosion and pieced together what happened on his own.
fWhip is also a guy whose sister and best friend both know magic. More specifically, Sausage knows necromancy. More specifically, Gem could know necromancy as well, if she happened to "forget" where the borders of forbidden magic lie - which would not be that hard for her to do, under, say, a certain amount of crushing grief and panic.
Now I'm not saying anything happened. I'm not saying who discovered what or who reanimated who or who may or may not have not realized he's undead yet. I'm just...you know. Suggesting.
Maybe fWhip is not, in fact, a guy who survived an almost definitely un-survivable explosion.
#only just remembered this today and lost it#it's not quite vampire fWhip but it's not NOT vampire fwhip -#new headcanon he became undead in the explosion and is now living his best life as a vampire wherever he ended up with Gem#they end up with a kingdom that's got a whole guardian of the day/guardian of the night thing going on since fWhip can't be out in the sun#Gem protects the place with her magic and gives council in the daytime and fWhip does it at night#and they spend every dawn and dusk together just hanging out#and/or arguing over policy hfdkjsd#also you just know fwhip is inventing armour and stuff for him to go out in the daytime occasionally#either a steampunk iron man suit type thing or just#more medieval looking armour and some sick shades#he's already got the googles for it just needs to put in darkened lenses#my undead loving brain#the gears#they're Turning again

You owe me at least three days of rest in the infirmary - Solangelo
Masterlists
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5 Part 6 Part 7 Part 8 Part 9
Pairing: Nico di Angelo x Will Solace
Warnings: None
Wordcount: 768
TEN | WILL
- Love those who will love you when you
have nothing to offer but your company -
Will came to hang out with Nico almost every day. There were some days when he was too busy in the infirmary to get time over but at those days, Nico came to visit Will. At first Nico thought it was a terrible idea. Who would want a son of Hades to help out in the infirmary? But Will had insisted and after an hour, Nico found himself enjoying it. He liked to help Will with cutting bandages or getting a wet towel. To get food or a snack for the clients or tell them a story to calm them down.
Will too enjoyed the time in the infirmary with Nico. They were always having fun and the kids Will took care of seemed to like Nico's company just as much as Will did. He didn't do the big things like fix broken bones or snap back bones that had been dislocated. He mostly got the supplies or food. But mainly he told stories. The young kids smiled fondly and nodded eagerly when Nico asked if they wanted to hear a story. And even though Nico didn't notice, Will loved to hear the stories too. They were always different and new. The other day he'd told a kid from the Demeter cabin the story about Achilles and earlier this morning he softly told about how life was in the 1940s. The kids loved it.
But when they did get the chance to spend time outside the white walls of the infirmary they were often found near the lake or at Thalia's tree at the half-blood hill. They would just sit together and talk, tell stories and laugh. Sometimes they had a picnic on a red and white checkered blanket in the dusk or a breakfast together at dawn. When whole days passed by and both of them were too busy to come see each other they laid down in Nico's empty cabin to look at the ceiling. The stars that were spread over the dark surface shined and had a calming effect on both of them.
Now they both had checked out from the infirmary for the day and they sat on the half-blood hill, resting their backs against Thalia's tree. The view from there was breathtaking and even though both Will and Nico had seen it a million times before it was still just as beautiful to look at as it'd been the first time. The green grass flowed down the hill and swept their ankles in the soft wind. The camp's cabins and the messing hall seemed to glow in the orange peeks from the sun. The dark forest seemed calm and peaceful and the dragon that guarded the camp's borders was peacefully lying against the tree with half closed eyes. Nico's head rested gently on Will's shoulder and Will played lazily with Nico's pale hand. They stayed quiet and just watched as the waves rolled in and hit against the glowing beach. Nico's eyes were heavy and he fell in and out of a light unconsciousness. Will smiled down at the small boy and placed an arm around his thin waist. Nico didn't like affection that much but when he was tired and it was Will, he didn't mind.
Will smiled softly as the son of Hades cuddled closer to him. It was incredible how close the two had become. From not knowing anything more than each other's names to being one of the persons they relied on the most. And Will was happy to have Nico. Sure, his mom was great and loved him to death. His sibling looked up to him and helped him out in any and every situation. His friends from the other cabins were just as amazing. But Nico was something else. They were more than friends. More close to family. They trusted each other, teased each other and had fun. Helped each other out and spent time together. And even though they were so very different they went hand in hand with each other. Will's happy and shining personality and Nico who invited the darkness like a family member. They completed each other. Plus and minus.
Will pulled Nico even closer, pressed a kiss to the dark locks before resting his head against Nico's. His heart swelled with love for the smaller boy as Nico turned around and cuddled up to Will's side. He made a mental note to tease Nico about it tomorrow and to tell him about his heart's desires.

— their wedding day with you.
ೃ pairings: (izuku midoriya, katsuki bakugo, shoto todoroki, x fem! reader)
ೃ tags: headcanons, tooth rotting fluff
ೃ warnings: none
ೃ my nav → my mha writing masterlist → my katsuki bakugo x reader smau
ೃ if you want to be a part of my mha taglist. send me an ask! ♡
ೃ please do reblog if you enjoyed!! it really helps writers and content creators on tumblr! (feel free to add tags too because i love reading them and my heart swells with happiness when people love my work!)
ೃ after a million wedding videos and pinterest boards later, i’m excited to share with all of you my wedding hcs! these are short and a quick read so i hope you enjoy! ♡
- you and your fiancé, katsuki, were arguing over the venue and the theme of the wedding. he wanted it to be a simple ceremony. perhaps taking place at just a regular event place- whilst you wanted the venue to be at a beach.
- it was a dream you had always wanted while innocently planning your wedding as a kid. so why not make it a reality?
- The two of you peacefully decided on it over rock paper scissors. You won so… the beach wedding it is.
- (Katsuki actually loved the idea of the beach wedding as much as you did. He just didn’t want to admit it.)
- coral blue and oceana palettes, luscious palm trees swaying with the wind coming from the sea, the calming sound and view of the ocean, coral and shell designs hung everywhere, tables and chairs with little boho and aquatic inspired designs.
- mitsuki bakugo insisted on making your wedding dress. you were overjoyed and deeply touched by her sweet gesture. As she wants the best for her beautiful and loving daughter in law after all.
- The dress was one of the most angelic and heavenly gowns you have ever seen in your entire life. a long graphic lace gown with an open back and the edges of your white dress had frills like that of a mermaid tail. you wore a shell bracelet, to match with katsuki’s.
- kirishima and kaminari jokingly dared bakugo to wear a tuxedo heavily inspired by the dc superhero, aquaman to keep the beach theme going. of course, katsuki ignored their suggestions and little jokes, opting for something of his usual style. his suit partially unbuttoned, tan rolled up-pants and matching shell bracelets with you.
- as you walk down the aisle, katsuki could not think of anything but the bursting feeling inside of him saying that this was it. this serendipitous event was going to signify the start of his life... his life with you.
- your beauty and radiance was like that of a mermaid, your (h/c) hair flowing with the wind and the ocean was there as if practically glowing for you. whereas he felt like a mere pirate who could do nothing but watch you from afar as he sailed the shores.
- yet here you are, about to approach him, to finally begin this momentous event.
- the gentle mermaid fell in love with the aggressive pirate. how sweet.
- you insisted on playing songs from the little mermaid during your walk down the aisle and during the reception, sadly, katsuki disapproved of both. with a little convincing and a dozen of cute pouty faces later, he agreed to have someone play a romantic song. just one.
- the two of you decided on someone performing a beautiful rendition of “can’t take my eyes off of you”
- bakugo was about to cry while reciting his vows. Almost. He was totally going to shed some tears after the wedding ceremony, for only you to see, and before the two of you make your appearance at the reception.
- the wedding and the reception ends wonderfully as fireworks began to pop in the sky, colorful swirls as if they were coloring the sky, with one of the firecrackers even shaped as a heart. the reception continues with people dancing, and while your husband wasn’t one for festivities and dancing, he would give this day a pass as you bring him to the middle of the dance floor as the two of you dance the night away.
- “you’re just too good to be true... Can't take my eyes off of you~ you'd be like Heaven to touch, i wanna hold you so much~”
- shoto wants the most important day of his life to be reminiscent of a fairy tale as he wasn’t able to experience the wonder and the beauty of it as a child.
- to keep the theme consistent, he rents out a quaint recreational woodland not far from the city.
- he wants it to be perfect just for you especially since you’ve been dreaming of living a fairy tale for such a long time… and here you are now about to fulfill that dream.
- the wedding starting at dusk, twinkling lights and garlands hanging around the trees, fairy lights sprawled about, blooming archways, lilac ash and sandstone pallets, long romantic banquet, and guests composed of his closest friends and family.
- you’re dressed in a beautiful white (with pastel blue accents) floofy dress reminiscent of a fairy. embroidered with vines, satin flowers, and butterfly accents. instead of a veil, you’re wearing a flower crown decorated with pretty white daisies and leaves.
- whilst shoto was wearing a suit reminiscent of peter pan. an exquisite blue suit with a peter pan lily as his boutonnière.
- As soon as he sees you walking down the aisle, tears were about to stream down from his cheeks.
- the whole todoroki fam are at the brink of tears too, as these were one of the very rare times they see the youngest todoroki with the biggest smile and most blissful look on his face.
- All of the guests stand up, each seat has one thin branch with attached handcrafted butterflies and fireflies for them to hold up and to illuminate your way to Shoto.
- A musician strums their guitar and begins to sing Can’t Help Falling In Love” by Elvis Presley.
- He’s just beyond delighted to see you. As if flowers were blooming with every step you take, approaching closer and closer to him.
- “wise men say... only fools rush in... but I can’t help falling in love with you...”
- You looked ethereal. Like a dawning light.
- You continue to walk down the aisle, looking back at him. All the pure love and adoration you have visible in your eyes.
- midway through your vows, shoto couldn’t take it anymore and the tears just flowed down his face. you giggle lightly, the other guests were snickering along. you bring him into a hug, kissing his tear-imprinted face as the two of you continue with the ceremony.
- It felt like an absolute dream. This was the best day of both of your lives after all.
- “And they lived happily ever after.”
- you and izuku just wanted a simple yet still fancy backyard wedding.
- as the two of you wanted to spend most of your budget on traveling the world for your honeymoon trip instead.
- you could still make things absolutely beautiful and pleasing to look at after all. with your amazing teamwork and working on the planning together, you could manifest a delightful wedding.
- there wasn’t a particular theme per se. both you and izu weren’t really ones to go into specifics anyway. you just wanted to replicate a very light and airy feeling that can be seen in most dreamy weddings.
- string lights hung everywhere, a huge whimsical canopy was built up on the yard with two iridescent chandeliers hanging on the inside, draped fabrics and lush, interwoven greenery, mint and powdered colored accents, and a mini bar at the entrance.
- all of the heroes that izuku had known all his life were invited to the wedding. and of course, they wouldn’t miss it for the world. with practically everyone attending the #1 hero’s big day.
- with the help of the girls from class 1-a and after several hours of trying on the most beautiful dresses, your heart was set on an embroidered tulle and crepe white gown. instead of a veil, you opted for a white crown headpiece, resembling that of a halo.
- izuku on the other hand, at the behest of the boys of class 1-a, wanted him to wear something extravagant that could woo you. izuku disliked all the suits that they made him try out and instead went for a black suit jacket, dark blue dress shirt, and to complete the look, a cute little bow tie.
- you walk down the aisle, holding a bouquet of flowers, your calming and ever so beaming presence felt like the light that he had been looking for all his life.
- izuku could just stare at you lovingly like this if he could. he fights the tears welling up in his eyes, but he knows he’s going to break soon.
- and he does. as soon as he starts reciting his vows, izuku begins to weep. the genuineness and the love that you could hear from his voice and from the emotions he was showing right now made you feel so warm inside.
- you hug him and squeeze both of his hands tight as he calmly yet emotionally goes through the entirety of his vow.
- at the reception, inko and all might offer a special toast to you and izuku. their speech composed mostly of doting words and a lot of light-hearted “parent” jokes.
- dekusquad + bakugo came up to the stage too to give their chaotic toast to the groom and bride, and the atmosphere and the mood became even more fun and lighthearted.
- as a surprise, you and izuku prepared a short musical number. the two of you were going to duet stand by me by ben e. king.
- “when the night has come... and the land is dark... and the moon is the only light we'll see~ no I won't be afraid... oh, I won't be afraid. just as long as you stand, stand by me~”

tagged by: @jurati tagging: @storyofwhoiam (thirteenth Doctor, Kaz, and Kalinda?), @shcftingpieces (Blair!) & anyone else that wants to do it !
Lena Luthor
— basics.
▸ is your muse tall/short/average? average/on the slightly tall side
▸ are they okay with their height? yeah! They honestly don’t really think about it a whole lot. If she wants to be taller (and she often does) they can just put on heels. She would be content being shorter tho cause than they could be Small in someone’s arms (don’t worry tho, Kara’s taller than them)
▸ what’s their hair like? dark, thick, and long. Also straightened every day for the sake of Appearances. But! Once they get more comfortable not being “perfect” all the time, they let their hair go natural and curly a lot more!
▸ do they spend a lot of time on their hair/grooming? oh god, yeah. Everything has to perfect. She has her routine pretty down pat, but she will spend way too much time making sure everything’s just how it should be even if she’s not doing something that requires her to look put together. In the later years tho, I imagine she spends less time trying to look perfect when going to work/doing work related things but still wants to look “presentable” and she does put a lot less work into their appear when they’re just meeting friends or wtvr
▸ does your muse care about their appearance/what others think? oh big time. She fixates so hard on it that their life honestly revolves around other people. They did grow tired of not being able to meet everyone’s expectations tho and so they def lash out at assholes sometimes (usually in a reserved passive aggressive way). But despite that, she really does try to be put together and proper for others sakes
— preferences.
▸ indoors or outdoors? okay so, this is a little complicated! I think she would enjoy the outdoors in the sense of like nature but her instinct is indoors (specifically in her own home) because she feels safe there and able to be herself more
▸ rain or sunshine? sunshine. Rain is kind of a nuisance and also makes their depression worse
▸ forest or beach? oooh this is hard. I feel like they’d feel safer and more at ease?? In a forest, but! Beaches are fun! And feel like a place to hang out with friends! So that also means safety and home-y feelings! Lena loves her friends and they’re her family, so beach! Even if there is the con of bathing suits and having your body on display for the world to see
▸ precious metals or gems? hmm prob precious metals! I feel like Lena is a big fan of metal jewelry and she works with metal a lot!
▸ flowers or perfumes? maybe flowers? She loves a good perfume for herself but they’re incredibly likely to send someone flowers if they like that person and she love giving things to people she likes
▸ personality or appearance? personality! They’ve dated for looks in the past and it just doesn’t end well. It is a plus if someone’s cute And not an asshole tho
▸ being alone or in a crowd? they don’t really like being alone but they kinda hate crowds because they’re overstimulating, so alone
▸ order or anarchy? order 100%. She’s trying to accept chaos into her life tho
▸ painful truths or white lies? instinct says white lies because they really Hate being hurt but! Considering their experience with Kara being supergirl and the other painful truths they’ve had to live through: painful truths
▸ science or magic? bro... BRO. You can’t ask her to choose like that. Her entire character is based around science And magic. And plus they’d probably argue that magic is science because everything is science. But uhhhhh... science? Please don’t make her choose lol
▸ peace or conflict? Lena prefers peace, but they’re Very often causing conflicts. So peace but that’s not what they get lol
▸ night or day? night. It’s when they get to unwind
▸ dusk or dawn? dusk, I guess? Dawn is kinda Stressful because she has to get ready for the day and prepare for all of the stressful situation. But if she gets a day off or in later in life when she’s more chill, it’s comforting to be able to sit and drink a cup of coffee when watching the sunrise
▸ warmth or cold? warmth. It’s comforting and she runs a bit cold, so it’s nice to snuggle up with a blanket
▸ many acquaintances or a few close friends? a few close friends. Lena doesn’t easily trust people enough to casually let them into her life. But she does know a lot of people?
▸ reading or playing a game? reading! They’re a lil nerd. Tho they love a good game night and often times she’s reading about ttrpgs soooo
— questionnaire.
▸ what are some of your muse’s bad habits? okay so Lena has... a drinking problem. Most days after work they get a little tipsy and whenever they’re Very upset, they get Extremely drunk. They also have a bad habit of cutting people out of their life at the drop of a hat because she has a hardcore black and white thought process and if someone does something she considers bad, that person is now bad and it takes a lot of work (or just a better mood sometimes) for people to regain her trust. She also tends to trust too easily (often even when her brain tells her not to). There’s prob others but those are the ones that affect them the most
▸ has your muse lost anyone close to them? how has it affected them? way too many people. Her mom died when she was four, leaving her to be adopted by an abusive family (her adoptive dad was also her bio dad who cheated on Lillian, his wife and Lena’s adoptive mother, which she didn’t know until adulthood) and it has affected every aspect of her life. She carries herself in a professional and mature way despite only being 22 and has done this for most of her life. She doesn’t know how to cope with her own emotions, so instead she puts them away in little boxes until they come exploding out. She used to dive head first into relationships in an attempt to fill the part of her soul that was missing the love it never received but after many heartbreaks, she’s become way more reserved and distrustful. She’s often unlikely to reveal romantic feelings out of fear of them being used against her. I could literally go on forever about this, but I won’t lmao
▸ what are some fond memories your muse has? she has a very specific blurry memory of her and her birth mother playing when she was a kid. It’s one of her first memories. She also has a lot of memories of Lex being there for her and treating her like family when no one else did, but these kind of make them sad now. And honestly a lot of their memories of Kara and the rest of the superfriends make them happy and comfort them looking back on them
▸ is it easy for your muse to kill? if they don’t know the person and are protecting someone they care about/themself, yes. But if they do care about them, it’s extremely hard and they’ll do pretty much anything (often even risking the world) to make sure she doesn’t have to put them at risk
▸ is your muse capable of trusting someone with their life? yes, but it can take a lot of built-up trust and they’re more likely to try to save themself. But she will if she has to, especially if it’s someone they care about
▸ what’s your muse like when they’re in love? Lena is... complicated. She will send the person gifts, take them on little dates, and spend as much time with them as possible. She will fawn over every word they say. But she most likely will not ever tell you she’s in love unless there is absolutely no doubt that the other person feels the same. They keep their feelings close to their chest and doesn’t often let them out.

Summer Wine
This is my gift fic for the Levihan University servers Christmas in July event! My giftee was the wonderful _myunet on twitter and instagram - I went with the summer holidays theme, and we all know I’m a sucker for childhood friends, so... I hope you enjoy :)
**
“This is a stupid idea.”
Levi trailed helplessly behind Hange as she shimmied along the crack of an alley between two barns, a narrow shortcut from the main yard to the back field that kept them out of view of the main house. She held a bottle of wine in one hand, cool from the fridge, condensation beading as the chill glass met the stuffy summer heat. It was getting late, the ghost of a moon and a smattering of stars decorating a purple sky overhead, while the horizon bled deep pink where the sun dipped below the skyline.
The set of the sun did little to temper the heat. The air was muggy and stagnant, heavy on his skin as Levi broke out at the end of the alleyway and trotted to catch up with Hange's longer strides. She twisted quickly to look at him, walking backwards past the lamb shed to shoot him a wicked smile, wiggling the bottle.
"It'll be fun!" She said brightly. "And it's not stupid if it's fun."
She turned before he had time to argue, dancing on her toes to keep her footing as they crossed onto the field. The grass had been clipped short and left to dry in the sun, and in the still, quiet night the crunch of it underfoot was deafening. Hange hummed absently as she picked her way over to the haystack, swinging the bottle at her side.
They were out of sight of the house, here, but Levi still felt a little uneasy. Hange's parents weren't strict, but this might just push the boundaries of their tolerance—clambering around the farm yard in the growing dark was bad enough, nevermind doing it with a belly full of wine they were both too young and too dumb to drink. But the day had been unbearably hot, and the wine was cool, and Hange's summer holiday had been filled with too much work, early mornings and busy days and not enough time to relax and enjoy a few weeks of academic freedom, and she'd watched one too many movies with underage drinking and maybe she'd felt envious, maybe she'd felt inspired. She'd texted Levi asking if he wanted to do something fun, and Levi had agreed without asking too many questions, and now here they are.
Hange was toeing her shoes off at the base of the silage stack. 'So we don't put holes in the plastic,' she'd told him, years and years ago, when they were almost too small to clamber up even one bale. She hoisted herself up with ease now, and Levi did the same, following her path up each layer of round, wrapped bales. The plastic stuck to the soles of Hange's bare feet ahead of him, tacking and squeaking as she climbed. The sun had shifted from the field hours ago, but the black wrapping was still warm beneath his palms, and the hay smell was overpowering, woody and still fresh. It will change, as the year goes on and the cut grass ferments into something sweeter, richer, more earthy, but the bales were freshly gathered, the summer still young.
Hange plopped down right in the middle of the top of the pile, sinking into the cleft between two bales. She wriggled to adjust until she was comfortable, dipped in a shallow V with her back against one bale and her legs against the other. She patted the space beside her, grinning, and Levi settled into it.
The air shifted some, this high up. The breeze was light and bare, but it felt refreshing after the oppressive stillness they'd endured all day. Hange unscrewed the lid from the bottle and took a tentative sniff. She winced.
"Smells awful," she said. And then she took a sip.
Hange's face screwed up the moment the drink hit her tongue, eyes squeezing shut and lips pursing as she struggled to swallow it. She shook her head, shuddering, and held out the bottle. "Your turn."
Levi eyed it warily. Hange nudged it against his chest. "C'mon, it's not so bad."
Levi raised a brow at her. "You look like you drank piss."
"It's fine," she said, and to prove her point she took another, bigger sip. She stifled her reaction, but Levi could see the way her throat bobbed reflexively, swallowing air, and the way her eyes watered behind her glasses. Levi rolled his eyes at her.
"Convincing," he said. Hange nudged him with the bottle again, and again, and again, until he grabbed it, if only to stop her incessant poking.
"I think this counts as peer pressure," Levi said, taking the bottle from her grip. Hange grinned widely.
"Absolutely. Drink."
Levi didn't dare smell it. He eyed the pale liquid warily for a moment, then sucked in a breath and pulled the bottle to his lips, tipping it back.
Hange was right. It wasn't bad. It was fucking disgusting. The drink was cold and flat, but it fizzed strangely on his tongue and burned as it slid down his throat, settling hot and uneasy in his gut. The taste lingered unpleasantly, tart and acidic. His expression soured uncontrollably, and beside him, Hange let out a raucous laugh.
"Tastes like drinking piss," Levi said.
"It's vile," Hange agreed. Still, she took the bottle from him, and drank another mouthful down. "God, how does mum like this?"
Levi shrugged his shoulders. The strangest thing was, now that the burn had settled, his stomach felt pleasantly warm. The bitter taste had abated into something mild, sweeter and a little fruity on his tongue. He took the bottle from Hange and drank again.
Hange settled back against the bale and rubbed her hands over her face, pushing her glasses out of the way to grind her knuckles into her eyes. She looked worn, tired. Her cheeks and nose were pink and raw from exposure to the sun, and her exhaustion had bruised her eyes, leaving the skin puffy and purple.
She sighed heavily. "This summer sucks."
Levi lowered the bottle, but said nothing. He had grown used to spending almost every waking second of the summer holidays with Hange—when they were small, too small to play without supervision, Hange had passed the summer days with Levi and his mother while her family worked the farm, and then when they were older, free to exore, they'd filled their time with play on the farm, Levi dutifully trailing Hange wherever she went.
Hange had always been a lively, extroverted kid, a stark contrast to Levi's quiet, insular nature, and at times he had found her boundless energy overwhelming. Too touchy, too loud. Too much. But Hange never minded that he rarely spoke, that he shied away from people, quiet and brooding to mask his discomfort, and with time, Levi had grown used to her. They fell into an easy routine with each new summer, finding new ways to fill their time—but this year was the first since Hange's brother had moved away, and they were one hand short on the farm. Hange had helped in the past, odd jobs here and there throughout the year, but this summer was intensive, task after task from dawn until dusk, with barely a moment to breathe. Levi had hardly seen her for the last three weeks, and likely wouldn't see much of her at all until school started up again. It was weird, too quiet and too still without her.
She let out a frustrated sound and plucked the bottle from his hand, gulping from it, this time. She looked ridiculous, puckering her lips when she lowered the bottle. "I want a day off. We haven't had time to do anything."
"We're doing something now," Levi said. Hange laughed, low in her throat, and raised the bottle as though to taste his word, before she drank again. With the moon high and full, Levi could see the colour in her face, flushed pink from the alcohol, and her eyes were growing glasses behind her lenses. He wondered if she was feeling the drink as much as he was—his head was light, a little woozy, but his limbs felt weighty and graceless, fingers fumbling to take the bottle back from Hange, wrapping clumsily over her hand as he did, and has her skin always been this soft? Her hand felt impossibly smooth beneath his fingertips, and when she laughed again, her voice rang brighter than usual, chiming in his ears. The effect was strangely dizzying.
"We are," she said, after a time. "We are doing something now. It's nice. I've missed it—I've missed you."
Levi hummed in acknowledgement. Things like this, they didn't come easy to him; words of affection fell from Hange's lips so often, without pause or debate, as though it was the simplest thing in the world, while Levi stuttered and stumbled in his own head for too long before inevitably saying nothing. He had missed Hange, had felt a little lost without her, bored and restless at home. Saying as much was hard. Levi held out the bottle for her instead, and watched as she tipped her head back to drink it.
The alcohol made him feel weightless and floaty, absent, strange—so strange, but it wasn't a bad feeling. He watched the way Hange's lips pressed plump against the mouth of the bottle, the way strands of her hair had fallen from her messy ponytail, and curled loosely against her neck. An unfamiliar heat spread in his chest, his belly, his cheeks. He looked quickly away.
The bottle was a little over half empty when Hange set it to one side, reclining back against the curve of the bale and settling her hands on her stomach, staring up at the starry sky. They had so much space, up here, plenty of room to spread out, but Hange had moved until they were so close they were touching, pressed together at shoulder and hip and knee. Levi wasn't one for so much physical contact, but the wine made him warm and pleasantly heavy, and there was something nice about the way Hange felt against his side—comfortable, almost, but that isn't quite right, because comfortable would imply he was relaxed, and Levi didn't feel relaxed at all.
Touching Hange wasn't new to him. She was the most tactile person he knew, only content with her arm linked through his, her feet in his lap, her weight leaning on his side, some point of connection between them. She had been the same for as long as Levi could recall, and he had grown used to it. Sometimes, he even liked it.
But it never made him feel quite like he did now; restless, itching to press impossibly closer, to feel impossibly more.
"We could've done so much more though," Hange said. "We could've gone to the cinema—"
"—I already told you, I'm not watching the Shrek anniversary screening with you."
Hange dutifully ignore him. "Or the beach! We could've gone swimming in the sea, maybe, and—ooh, we could have had a 99, I haven't had one in ages."
"You'd shit your pants, stupid. You're lactose intolerant."
Again, Hange waved him off flippantly. "Ice cream is worth it. And maybe we could've camped some—remember when we used to camp in the front field?"
Levi hummed. "Never got any sleep. Too much sugar. Too many bugs."
Hange chuckled at his side.
"It was fun. Although, I think we might be a little too big for the tent now. It'd be a squeeze."
Levi thought about how close they were now, plastered to each other's sides as they stared up at the stars. It might not be so bad, cosy in the canvas of Hange's battered old tent, with a blanket to share and the leftover wine instead of fizzy drinks.
He had intended on keeping that thought quiet, store it somewhere private, but the wine loosed his tongue, and before he could think to stop himself, he said, "it would be nice."
Hange let out a long, rising hum beside him. "Yeah? Maybe I'll look for the tent tomorrow. We could tell scary stories like we used to, and you can pretend you're not frightened by the cows walking around in the next field."
Levi scowled up at the sky. "Just like old times," he said flatly. Hange snickered, digging her elbow into his ribs.
"So cute," she teased. "The only time you've ever been cuddly in your whole life, I bet."
"I was cold."
"It was like, twenty degrees."
Levi dug his elbow back at her. "Fuck off."
Hange squirmed at his side, wriggling away from his prodding. She laughed, breathless, and settled only when Levi stopped poking at her, sighing out a long breath.
"Remember when we tried stargazing?"
"Mm. You just made up your own shitty constellations."
"You believed me."
"I was nine, and stupid."
"Now you're sixteen and—" she cut herself off with a high squeal when Levi jabbed her side again, this time with his fingers, digging deep into the soft tissue beneath her ribs. He relented only when Hange begged him to, panting and strained, laughing loud and full.
Levi lay back to look up at the stars again. He could remember, vividly, the way Hange had pointed up at the distant sky, one long finger tracing nonexistent patterns in the stars. She'd had a lisp, then, still adjusting to her braces, words thick and clumsy when she said, 'See those stars there? There's a tail, and ears, and a big head with huuuuge teeth. That's Catticus Rex.'
Levi hadn't seen it. He had squinted with all his might, but the stars were just stars, random, disjointed. No Catticus Rex in sight. Still, he had said, 'yeah. Cool. What else?' And Hange had showed him Ursula ('like The Little Mermaid?' 'No, like a bear'), and The Big Duck, and one she called Jeffrey, and Levi had discerned nothing, but stupidly pretended all the same.
She was doing just the same now, though her arm was much longer, less weedy, muscle rippling under skin as she extended into his field of vision, drawing a shape in the air. Her voice was deeper than it was back then, and smoother. It sunk right into his chest as she spoke.
"That one is…..Hercules. See it?"
He didn't see it. He saw nothing more than flecks in the sky, swimming strangely in his addled vision.
"No."
Hange sighed, and dropped her arm. "Yeah. Me neither. Everything's moving too much."
Levi snorted. Hange talked on, naming constellations they should be able to see, but it's all purple sky and bright specks that blurred in and out of focus as he blinked, lids terribly heavy, and the way they shimmered made him feel a little nauseous. He rolled his head to the side to look at Hange instead, and—oh, she was close. So close, he could see the stars reflected in the dark of her eyes, and the way the wine had flushed her skin pink, the smattering of freckles over her nose. The breeze blew gently, and up this close Levi could see the way each individual hair on her head lifted and ruffled with it. He could see the length of her lashes and the shadows they cast on her cheeks when she blinked, long and slow; he could see the slope of her nose, her lips, caught in a stupid, absent smile as she stared up at the night sky. When did Hange get so pretty? It must have been a gradual development, but the last Levi could recall, she was a gangly pre-teen with stick limbs and a thin, rakish frame. She was still tall and still thin, but there were subtle curves at her hips that balanced out her broad shoulders, and the puppy fat on her face had disappeared, exposing the sharp line of her jaw and high, prominent cheekbones.
The heat in his chest can't be from the alcohol. They set the wine aside a while ago, so neither could he blame it for the restless energy bubbling under his skin, or the way his fingers twitched at his side, the urge to reach out and trace Hange's profile so sudden and his reflexes so sluggish and addled that his hand was already halfway in the air between them before he could think to stop it.
Hange's head lolled sideways to look at him. At some point, Levi must have shifted the impossible distance between them, for when Hange turned, their noses bumped together. Hange's fringe tickled his brow. He tasted the wine on her breath when she sighed out. His must taste the same, blowing hot over her lips, and her lips—
Levi never thought too much about kissing. He'd never had all that much interest, even now, as a teenager, when almost everyone around him seemed so charged, so eager to try all these new things they'd learned and discovered. Kissing sounded unpleasant, wet and messy and weird, and Levi had never once thought about kissing another person as much as he thought about kissing Hange now.
It must be the wine. That's what Levi told himself. The wine making his head a little fuzzy, his thoughts sluggish, bizarre, unfiltered. Hange was his friend, his best friend, and surely most people don't think about kissing their best friend. But his head was empty save for the way Hange's mouth looked, the way her breath felt on his skin.
Hange kissed him first. At least he thought she did—one moment they weren't kissing, and the next they were, and Levi hadn't meant to move but maybe he had anyway, maybe he had closed what little space was left and brushed his lips against hers, so soft, so light, he wondered if maybe he imagined it. He closed his eyes, head spinning, and Hange pressed her forehead clumsily against his own, resting there.
The world around them spun strangely in the darkness, time a fuzzy, frame thing, warping around them as Hange bumped her mouth to Levi's again and again, each time better and longer and more solid than the last.
And then the sky was a pale, watery blue, sunlight peeking over the distant horizon, as birds chirped loudly, screeching the new day. Levi swallowed, but his mouth was disgustingly dry, tongue like cotton behind his teeth. He blinked against the mild pounding in his head and shifted to ease the ache in his back, but something heavy laid over his chest and legs, pinning him.
Hange.
She lay at his side, contorted into the cleft of the bales, with one leg thrown over Levi's thigh and her arm sprawled across his abdomen. She snored softly in his ear.
Memories of the night rushed him; the picture of Hange under the moonlight, the blush of her face and the lilt of her laughter. The soft press of her lips against his. His face burned at the thought and he looked quickly away from her.
Trying not to disturb her, Levi shuffled, reaching to pull his phone out of the pocket of his shorts. 4:59am. He groaned, back seizing from the uncomfortable sleeping position, and Hange’s breath hitched and stuttered as she woke. She groaned, too, and turned to press her face into the bale, away from the glaring daylight.
“Time is it?” she asked, voice hoarse. Levi told her, and she let out a lamenting moan, rolling onto her back and wincing, unfurling her body and stretching her spine. She looked ridiculous, wrinkles on her cheek from the plastic wrapping and red welts on the bridge of her nose where her glasses had dug into the skin. “Shit. Mum might kill me.”
“Probably. You stole her wine and passed out in a field.”
“Can we count this as camping?” Hange said, laughing a little as she scrubbed at her face. Levi shrugged. He sat up, peeling himself away from the plastic and straightening out his wrinkled clothes.
They were quiet as they climbed down from the haystack. Hange hid the half empty bottle in the long grass by the wall, and led the way quietly towards the alleyway. Hange's quiet made him feel a little uneasy. He hadn’t drunk enough to forget what happened, and he doubted Hange had either, and he had hoped—expected, really—that Hange would be the one to bring it up, needle some kind of discussion out of him. He had relied on it. He couldn't mention it, not with his clumsy, crass tongue; he'd mess it up, say something biting, insulting, something that implied he hated it and that—well, that wasn't true at all.
They were almost at the end of the narrow alley when Hange stopped walking. She turned to him with a tired smile, shoulder-leaning the barn and folding her arms loosely over her chest. Levi shuffled his toe into the dry, crusted dirt. It was hard to look at her.
"I had fun," Hange said, after a short pause. Levi nodded. The air between them felt full, oddly charged, and Levi realised with a start that perhaps, for once, Hange was just as lost for words as he was. He cleared his throat.
"It wasn't bad," he said. Hange rolled her eyes, shaking her head.
"I suppose that's the best I'm gonna get, right?"
Levi swallowed. Hange scrutinised him for a time, eyes a little pinched as they scanned over his face. She made him feel terribly exposed, in times like this, when her gaze turned so analytical, picking apart every twitch of his brow or tick of his jaw. He stood, pinned, while she watched him, and then she nodded once, decisive, as though she had come to some conclusion.
She pushed her shoulder off the wall. Levi watched her step closer, her arms dropping to swing at her sides. Her eyes glinted behind her glasses and her face was set, determined, as she stopped with half a foot of space between them.
And then she bent forward, neck craning down to meet him. And she kissed him.
Levi stood frozen. Hange's lips felt dry and chapped, this time, and cooler with the fresh morning air, and there was a stiffness to her, an uncertainty that made her oddly unyielding. It was different to the kisses they'd shared last night; more reserved. Unsure.
She must have noticed Levi's matching posture, spine snapped straight and body held taut in surprise, for she pulled away quickly, straightening up and tilting her head a little to look at him.
"Sorry," she said. "Was that not okay?"
Maybe it shouldn't have been. The night before had been dreamlike, floaty and soft, timeless. He had melted so easily into kissing Hange then, all soft lips and warm breath and the tang of wine on his tongue. A stark contrast to this kiss.
Both made him stomach warm in the strangest way. Both made his heart rattle in his chest.
Both were good.
"It...wasn't bad," he said again. "Nice," he clarified when Hange's questioning gaze searched him once more. Her face broke into a smile, and Levi's cheeks heated.
"Yeah?"
Levi nodded. "Yeah. Your breath smells like arse though."
Hange threw her head back in a laugh that rang down the alleyway. Her eyes were bright when she looked back at him, narrowed by the swell of her cheeks as she smiled, and she leaned forward again. Levi was ready, this time, but Hange didn't kiss him—she opened her mouth wide, and blew hot air right over his nose.
Levi recoiled, and scowled over at her. Hange looked delighted with herself, cackling wickedly and skirting out of his reach when Levi made a grab for her, but the alley was narrow, and Levi was quicker, snagging the front of her shirt in his fist and yanking her back towards him and—
He had intended revenge. Pinching her, poking her, blowing right back because his own breath must smell just as bad, but it was all too easy, with the momentum, to haul her close and kiss her again.
It was incredible, how kissing Hange made him just as dizzy as the wine did.
She withdrew after a few lingering pecks, eyes bright and cheeks pleasantly flushed. "I really have to go."
Levi hummed. Hange seemed hesitant to leave, rocking from heel to toe and chewing on her lip, but then a noise sounded from the main house, the creak of hinges and the thud of a door closing, and she cursed quietly, grimacing.
"Wish me luck," she mumbled under her breath, and then, with one last quick wave, she took off towards the house. Levi watched until she rounded the corner before he skirted the front of the barn and ducked out of the yard, following the road for home.
He rubbed his fingers absently over his lips as he walked, and his cheeks pulled into a small, private smile.
The holidays so far had been boring, without Hange. Lonely. But, he thought, with the memory of Hange's kisses fresh in his mind, this summer didn't suck too badly after all.

Hi!! Could I request a hc for my man Levi Ackerman where he has been crushing on the reader for a while now but thinks he doesn’t really have a chance because she’s just so beautiful, kind and a little on the younger side. And he doesn’t really think that someone like her could ever be interested in someone like him. Then those toughts only get bigger as he sees how much time she spends with Jean or Eren or someone. And then some sort of drama is happening which eventually leads to this dramatic confession from both Levi and the reader. Hope that’s not too long? Have a great day!
First of all, I am SO sorry this request took so long to reply to. I was in a really bad headspace when I first got this, and I couldn’t write it properly at the time. But here I am now! Also, I got waaaay too into this, so I apologize that it’s a little long...
Move My Mountain ; Levi Ackerman
Levi Ackerman is nothing short of confidence and pride; insecurity scurries back into the shadows at the sight of him.
But you are sunshine and hope—all the good things in life wrapped in a lilting laugh, tucked in the corners of your lips when you smile, and the twinkling in your eyes;
Just the sight of you makes his title as “Humanity’s Strongest” fray at the edges and wither away, and it irritates him to no end.
Of all the ugly his eyes have seen and horror his ears have heard, its you that has him weak in the knees, you are a sharp contrast to the stoic man.
You’re young, youthful, and promising—all the things Levi is not.
Levi is many things, but worthy to feel the warmth you radiate as you walk into any room, a room that he might find himself lingering around in, is not one of them.
Levi may be sharp, attentive, and quick on his feet (quite literally). But it takes him an embarrassingly substantial amount of time to realize his feelings for you—that no, he does not hate you, but rather he finds himself completely smitten over you.
He realizes he always has been since the first time he saw you as a cadet. You weren’t entirely talented, and your skills were questionably underdeveloped, but you had heart and you were just as determined and fiery as your counterparts.
Levi looks forward to seeing you persevere during trainings; but he likes it better whenever you waltz into his office and assist him in paperwork he can clearly take care of on his own.
And you find yourself feeling comfortable around the Captain, entertaining him through small talk or sharing a few fun facts with him that always leave him dumbfounded.
Not that he’ll show it.
He’s quite kind to you, and though you found it off-putting at first, you had eventually grown comfortable to it. You even found yourself growing selfish, wanting more and more after each visit.
However, unbeknownst to everyone save for Erwin and Hange, Levi Ackerman is petty as he is incredibly violent.
There’s a twinge of jealousy in his chest and a twitch in his eye whenever he sees Jean joined to you by the hip. He’s aware of the history you two share, being childhood friends and choosing to join the Survey Corp together after the attack on Wall Rose.
But it doesn’t stop jealous seeping out of Levi like a waterfall.
He hates it when he catches Jean ghosting around you, dipping down to you a little too close for comfort whenever he talks to you, so Levi’s patience snaps like a twig and he crinkles his nose in disgust, steam rising from him when he watches Jean throwing his arm over your shoulders, pulling you close to his chest while you laugh at his jokes.
A line has been crossed.
Unfortunately for Jean, though his actions meant no harm, he’s drowned in piles and piles of work within the following week. Levi has him carrying extra weight, makes him run more laps to his knees shake, and riddles him with questionable work from dusk til dawn.
And just when things die down and the tide of Levi’s jealousy pulls back, it’ll come rushing back in when he catches Jean do another thing like leaning his head on your shoulder after a day’s worth of training. And it begins to bother you, picking at your skin until you can longer keep quiet and watch your friends suffer.
You’re in the middle of handing Jean your bottle of water (because Sasha chugged all of his in one breath) when Levi cuts in. Maybe it’s the heat of the sun that casts over the training ground, or maybe its the fact that once again, Levi’s jealous has once again gotten the best of him and he’s playing it off as frustration for the whole squad.
Whatever it is, there’s steam rising off as he glares at you and Jean.
Levi clears his throat, arms folded across his chest as he taps his foot, “If you have time to drinking other people’s water, Kristien,” Jean chokes on his water when he realizes Levi’s presence, quickly saluting him, “then you’ve got time to do laundry.”
Jean’s eyes widen, jaw slacking. “B-But I already did that yesterday, S-Sir.” You watch as Levi pulls his brows down, narrowing his gaze intensely as he strides up to Jean. He shifts uncomfortable under Levi’s inspecting eyes and clears his throat to try and gain some composure.
“That’s the great thing about laundry,” Levi grits, “it always piles up, so why don’t you hurry the fuck up and fuck off.”
However, Levi’s plan to wedge you to apart because you offer yourself to help.
You may be bubbly and full of life, and some may mistake your soft nature as someone naive and gullible, but you read the room easier than anyone. For the first time, Levi finds himself silenced; throat dried as if sawdust had been shoved into his throat, and he watches you saluting to him before excusing yourself along with Jean.
Unluckily for you, you become the target of his boiling rage. He’s ticking like a clock, the countdown to another outburst lingering in the air. It’s your turn to be buried in the extra weight of chores and responsibilities, doing more laps and push ups than you can manage. But you never complain, not even once.
Not until Levi strips you and Jean from the opportunity to go out on an expedition and traded off for laundry.
“I’ve had it!” You boom as you uncharacteristically lose composure, shoving the basket of dirty laundry to the side and causing Jean and Armin to flinch. “I’m gonna do laundry—laundry instead of joining the expedition? You’re kidding!”
Levi had overworked you painfully til your knees shook and your head felt dizzy, and at some point you wondered if was still training you or if it had any ulterior motive.
“I’m only the barer of the news!” Armin defends, visibly shrinking as you slowly grow unhinged.
“Then I’ll talk to him!” Jean steps in front of you, looking at you warningly as his chest heaves. “Jean, go away.”
“No,” He’s firm, headset in stopping you. “Make no mistake, the man is short, but he’s scary as hell. You saw him when he beat the shit outta Eren.”
“I can take a punch,” You state dryly, “now move.”
You place your arm on Jean’s shoulder, gripping it tightly before swiftly shoving him to the side, causing him to skid on the floor.
Determination drips from every step you take out the room and down the corridor. Your eyes directed towards one door and one door only. You wind past other captains and cadets, not bothering to even take a glance at them as you finally close in on Levi’s office.
You storm in, not even thinking to knock. You’re met with wide eyes and looks of disbelief from Erwin, Hange, and Levi; they were in the middle of a meeting when you barged in. Erwin’s jaw slacks, his brows pull down as he looks at you quizzically, “Cadet—What are you—”
“You.” You seethes, breathing heavily as you glare at Levi. “Why am I assigned to do laundry instead of joining the expedition?”
Hange and Erwin turn back to Levi with an alarmed expression painted on their face, as if they were only hearing this for the first time. “Surely, that’s not true,” Erwin chuckles lightly as he grips his hands on the armrest of the chair, shifting uncomfortably underneath the thick tension between you and Levi, “Levi, is this true?”
“It might be.” He answers dryly, a bored expression in his dark eyes as he glares back at you, “But I’m sorry, am I supposed to be answering to you? Who the fuck do you think you are interrupting a meeting?”
“Who the fuck do you think you are?” Your new found confidence not only shocks them, but most importantly you.
You always kept yourself in your place, never needing to be reminded who you are and what you’re meant to do, always biting your tongue and cheek when you’re angry. You never caused any trouble, but always slyly getting your friends out of it.
That is, until now.
“Excuse me?” Levi looks at you in bewilderment.
“What the fuck does doing laundry have anything to do with saving humanity?” You repeated, balling your fists till your knuckles color white. “I’m one of the best and you know it, yet I’m wasting my time cleaning Reiner’s DIRTY UNDERWEAR EVERY DAY.”
“Bold of you to assume you’re one of the best.” Levi is cold as the first winter of the year, looking completely unfazed by flow of your emotions. But you are, indeed, one of the best, nearly surpassing Mikasa.
Not that he’d ever admit to it.
“Why am I staying behind?” You press, raising your voice as you take a few steps closer to the desk.
Unfortunately, Hange and Erwin stay in the crossfire of your argument. They’re unsure when to take the beat to get up and leave.
They worry they missed that opportunity a while ago.
“It’s dangerous and you’re not ready,” Levi clips.
“I’m ready and you’re just taking your anger out on me!” You counter, “You don’t think I haven’t noticed how you’ve been taking your anger out on Jean and now on me?”
“You made us work to the bone, but we persevered. We pulled through. So, if I can handle Reiner’s sweaty laundry, then I can handle saving humanity. Grow a pair and let me back in on the expedition.”
“No.” Levi is stern, the grip in his pen is tight and his knees locked in as his ability to stabilize his emotions withers.
“Why not?” You groan, throwing your head back. “Because it’s dangerous.” He states matter-of-factly, like it was the most obvious thing in the world.
“WHY DO YOU CARE IF ITS SO DANGEROUS?” You’re yelling, breaths labored and chest constricting as your frustration grows. You’re completely unhinged and with little to no care in the world how you look like to everyone in the room. Levi bangs his fists against the surface of his desk, swiftly standing from his chair. Erwin and Hange flinch at his sudden aggression, exchanging looks of surprise.
“BECAUSE IF SOMETHING WERE TO HAPPEN TO YOU, I WOULDN’T KNOW WHAT I WOUDL DO.”
Silence falls on the room and after a moment, everyone stands on their toes as they reflect the confession that slips Levi’s lips just moments ago.
You, Hange, and Erwin look at Levi wish a slack jaw and a puzzled expression.
“I don’t—“ You swallow thickly and take a deep breath, “I don’t understand what you mean… Why would you—”
“Hange,” Erwin calls out to his friend softly as he clasps his hands together, “I think this is the part where we leave.”
Hange pouts her lip begrudgingly, “But—“
“Now.” Against her will and her wishes for juicy gossip, Hange mirrors Erwin’s actions as he rises from the chair and a hunched position and swiftly scurries out the room.
You and Levi stand in a thick blanket of silence. Levi is a man of many words, though most are painted in aggressive and backs up his violent tendencies, so he admits his worries about someone and that someone being you, it means everything.
It comes as a shock—a shock that feels electric and runs down your spine, you feel like you’ll lose your breath. “Why…why would you care?” You come down from your anger and the thumping of your heart calms down. “I don’t—I really don’t understand….”
Levi licks his lips as he loosens his grip; for the first time you can see him clearly without having to second guess it. He shudders a breath as takes a step back from his desk, the chair scrapping against the floor as he abandons the paperwork and slowly yet surely walks to you.
You grow tense and the budding anticipation in your stomach spreads through your body and up your throat. It’s only until Levi is a few steps away that you finally tear your eyes from him, dancing around the room desperately looking anywhere but him.
Levi halts his movement, only within an arm’s reach away from you. “I’m not good with words,” He admits in a mutter, more to himself than to you, “but I—I would like to be honest because you make me want to be honest.”
Levi’s gaze wavers along with the rest of him; his arms fall limp , his hands clammy as he twiddles his fingers to ease the fear hammering in his chest. “I have…” Levi speaks softly, a sharp contrast to how he usually his. His voice comes out dry and gravelly as if he had just woken up.
“I can easily read others as if I was looking at the back of my hand, and I know when people feel things…But it took me forever to understand what I felt for you and when I finally caught up with it, I didn’t—I don’t know.”
Hesitantly, as if you were scared to see something contradicting his words, you meet his eyes and you gasp. He’s looking right at you, eyes full of certainty yet wavering in his doubt that he’ll ever get a chance with you.
“What do you mean?” Your words come out so quiet, Levi almost misses it. “What don’t you understand?”
“Out of all the things I’ve seen and heard, and all the blood my hands have been stained in, you move me.”
He steps a little closer and you find yourself holding your breath, “You move me.”
You don’t know what to say. You scan through your memories, all the ones that you had with him and try to remember what you felt. And maybe you did feel something for him, something more than just cadet and captain, but you never let yourself think too far from it.
You were scared to let yourself fall, but for some odd reason, Humanity’s Strongest was letting him fall on his knees for you.
You can’t help but smile and your eyes glistening as you take the final step to close the proximity between the two of you. “
If you’re saying what I think you’re saying then,” You sigh as you close your eyes, your breath fanning against Levi’s cheeks, “don’t be shy to move a little more and show me what you mean.”
Levi’s takes a moment, studying the look in your eyes as he calculates his movements. He feels excited, but fear pulls the rug beneath his feet and all of a sudden he finds himself more scared of you than any mission he’s even been in.
You hold his face in your hands, smiling at him. “Don’t tell me you’re shy now.”
And just like that, your words egg him on and have him pushing all his doubt behind him.
Levi’s lips are soft against yours, the kiss is gentle yet eager to go deeper. He’s reluctant to cage you in his arms, but when he feels you smile against his lips and how your arms wind around his neck, he realizes he’s eases in.
Levi Ackerman has seen all the uglies in the word, and had his heartbroken one too many times to count, but you are the only one that moves him.

~ I Loved You For All This Time Apart ~
Pairing: Damiano David x Lea (fictional character)
Word count: 1759
Warnings: Slightly bit of swearing.
Summary: Lea makes a hard decision which has major consequences on her relationship.
The doors opened and she saw him. Damiano was standing in front of her while she walked past the gate from her plane. They haven’t seen each other for a long time. Three years passed since their breakup but they still didn’t stop loving each other.
Damiano was stubborn. When Lea told him that she wants to leave to England, he quickly protested, saying that she’s better living in Italy, in her home country, rather than being all alone in an unknown place without any family or friends.
He always wanted to impress everyone. When he was in the studio with Vic, Thomas and Ethan, everything had to be perfect. He didn’t leave the place without making sure that every sound and lyric were on point. Lea told him that he can’t overwork himself like that but he didn’t listen and stayed in the studio from dusk till dawn working his ass off till he fell asleep on the floor with papers in his tired hands.
Damiano never missed the opportunity to party. Whether it was celebrating their new albums or just a local festival, he never said no to going out with his friends. He drank a lot on the parties which made Lea angry. Once he got so drunk that Lea had to call a Taxi and literally crawl with him on her back to get him home. She was furious that night, which didn’t happen often and threatened him that they will break up if he won’t stop being so irresponsible.
She wasn’t a loud person though. She never got angry and never raised her voice. It was really hard to make her go out of control and she knew that sometimes she was too kind to everyone. Damiano always told her that she should stand up for herself more but she was too generous to see bad in people.
When she got irritated she usually closed herself in the bedroom and meditated to clear her mind. It helped her a lot and she never was the one to argue anyways. She always prefered to calm down and talk. Damiano loved how down to earth Lea was. Whenever they had a worse moment, she held his hands, stroking them gently and said: What’s bothering you, love? Let’s talk about it.
Those little moments felt like big steps until it all crashed.
One day Lea made the most important and the hardest decision. She bought a ticket to London and told Damiano that she’s leaving Italy. He tried to turn it into a joke at first but then he realized that she was serious.
What do you mean you’re leaving Italy? He asked her confused, giving her a look full of fear. He didn’t want to loose her. She was his soulmate and loosing her would mean loosing a part of him.
Baby, I want to travel, chase my dreams. There are so many opportunities waiting for me, I want to go and be happy. Her face lit up and passion in her voice made Damiano frown.
So you’re not happy with me, huh? He said and his eyes turned black. He was angry. How could she ever think of leaving him and moving to UK? Her place was next to him, in Italy.
Dami, it’s not about you. I just..
You just what? You want to leave me here alone and sacrifice everything we have! He screamed and Lea, not aware of his sudden outburst, shivered.
I’m not breaking up with you. But you have to understand, I can’t spend my whole life here, only looking at you succeed. As much as I love you and as much as I’m happy about your carrier, I want to do it for myself, I want to achieve something, be successful. I’m doing this to show myself that I’m worthy. She said and her eyes filled with tears.
Well then, I guess it’s over for us. I can’t do long distance. He said letting down his head.
So you don’t even want to try? You don’t want to put some effort and make our relationship work? Her cheeks were now wet from the tears. She looked at him full of sadness and disappointment.
You just chose.
Alright then, goodbye Damiano.
That’s when they’ve seen each other for the last time.
Since then Lea lived in London. The weather there wasn’t as amazing as in Italy but Lea found herself amazed with british culture. The people there were kind, saying thank you and I’m sorry with every occasion possible. They were helpful too. Whenever Lea entered a bookstore or coffee shop, people seemed to be willing to help with anything you’d ask them for. She felt like she could get friends with everyone there which didn’t make her feel so lonely. After a month of wandering around and gettin to know the country a little more, Lea joined a local designer house and started her career as a fashion designer and consultant. There she met Steph - her spirit guide as she used to say all the time. They started designing together and their work found its popularity around London soon after. Lea finally felt like it was her place and she for sure didn’t want to leave. Ever.
After three years she’s gotten an invitation for Alex’s wedding in Florence. Since he was like a brother to her she decided to visit her home country but soon after she got a call from him. Damiano called her at 2 am in the morning, waking her up and saying that they should meet once she arrives. At first she was shocked. They broke up on not such good terms but the truth was none of them stopped loving the other.
Damiano through all this time wrote songs about Lea. He knew that if he’d tried even a little then maybe their relationship would work. But he was a coward. He couldn’t stand a fact of long distance, being together but apart at the same time, so he decided to shut up and all his braveness vanished. His lyrics were deep and sad, all of them about being lonely, breakup and sadness. Vic, Thomas an Ethan tried to talk to him but he always shut them off, saying that he’s fine and that they shouldn’t worry. After a while he seemed to move on but when Alex called him with a wedding invitation, saying that Lea confirmed her attendance, his heart stopped. He decided to call her.
Damiano, its 2 am in the morning. What is so important you want to tell me at such a time? Lea answered her phone with a sleepy voice.
I heard you’re attending Alex’s wedding and i just.. wanted to call you to ask what are you getting them as a gift. Damiano lied which was obvious even to Lea.
For a gift? Are you out of your mind? You call me at 2 am just to ask me for a fucking gift? She said shocked at her own tone.
I uhm.. i think we should meet. You know, once you arrive. He said and brushed his hair with his palm.
We will meet at the wedding. She said harshly.
No Lea, i meant meet before the wedding. To talk.
What do you wanna talk about?
Us? He said, not being sure of her response.
Us? You want to talk about us Damiano? You said yourself you don’t want long distance and now after 3 years you want to talk about us? If it wasn’t Alex’s wedding, I’m sure you wouldn’t have called. Lea said and she was about to hang up but Damiano stopped her.
But I love you. Damiano’s words stuck in her mind making it repeat them over and over again. I’ve never stopped.
For good 5 minutes there was a silence that Lea didn’t want to break. Shock was an understatement. Of course, she hadn’t stopped loving him either but he said that out of the blue and she didn’t know exactly what to say.
I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have.. Damiano started but was interrupted.
No, it’s okey. I just.. It’s not a conversation we should be having through the phone. She said quietly and soon after they ended their call.
And now he was standing in front of her. Dressed all in black, his hair longer than Lea has remembered and even more handsome than she saw him last time. She noticed that his jawline was more sharp and on his face she saw a slight beard.
Damiano also noticed some changes. Lea wasn’t wearing glasses like before, her hair were a lighter color than the brown hazelnut tone he loved so much but she looked really good.
Long time no see. Damiano said and a slight smile appeared on his face.
Yeah, long time indeed. She said squeezing tighter a handle of her suitcase.
They stood like this for what felt like forever when suddenly Lea felt Damiano’s arms wrapping around her tightly and pulling her closer for a warm hug. It truly felt like home. His scent of cologne mixed with cigarettes and his fingers gently stroking her back, his face buried in a crock of her neck and lips dangerously close to her skin. Lea felt his breath on her neck and sighed wrapping her arms around his torso, giving back the hug.
I missed you so much. Damiano whispered and Lea’s eyes started getting watery.
She missed him too but never wanted to admit it. Not after he decided to end this relationship because he didn’t have the courage to try and make it work from a distance.
Not long after she felt Damiano’s warm lips on hers. She didn’t expect it all and surprised but pleased with such sudden interaction she kissed him back, wrapping her arms around his neck. The kiss was sweet, full of love and missing each other but they both enjoyed it more than they both expected. After a while they pulled away, looking into each other’s eyes.
I know we have a lot to figure out and a lot to talk through but I’ve never stopped loving you. Please forgive me. Damiano said stroking Lea’s cheek with his thumb.
I loved you for all this time apart. Lea said and they both smiled at each other.
It didn’t matter for them that they were standing in each other’s embrace in the middle of the airport. What really mattered to them was that they found their way back to each other.

__________________________________________
Almost every girl can remember the days where they’d dream of their fairytale romance. Dancing, a prince charming and a kiss in the moonlight as every problem faded away; A thrilling fight between the lovers and the evil villain ending with the two wrapped in each other’s arms. Despite being muggle tales, the wizarding world had also grown to adore these stories, smiles widening on even grown witches' faces with each ‘once upon a time.’
You’d grown up reading about maidens being swept off their feet into the arms of their knight in shining armor, fate seemed to encompass every story you laid your eyes on, so when Fred Weasley entered your life, with a charming smile and a playfulness that had you wanting more, you couldn’t help but fall.
And so began the pining. Stares across the classroom at the wave of red hair, crossing your fingers when group projects were announced, peeking down corridors to see if you could catch the prankster twins in action, and daydreaming from dawn till dusk. You could barely get words past your lips if he ever smiled in your direction. You found yourself wondering what it would feel like to run your hand through his hair. Doodling his name on parchment became common, and dreams of dancing with him plagued your mind. You were young, and in love. You could almost feel your fairy godmother pushing you towards him, fairy tale magic coursing through your veins whenever your eyes would meet.
It took a couple years, but you found your voice. Starting small with congratulations after quidditch games, an occasional joke during classes, a couple more smiles here and there.
The unrequited love, became returned. Fred Weasley thought you were just the shy girl from his transfiguration class, quiet and meek. When you built up the confidence to strike up conversations and joke about Snape’s hair, he found himself hanging onto your every word.
The older twin went from not knowing your name to looking forward to even his most boring classes just to catch a glimpse of your face. Making you smile became his mission, and Godric did he love it when your face would completely light up. Not just a small smirk, but when your eyes sparkle, your lips pull up far enough to see your teeth and your cheeks go a bit pink, that was most definitely his favourite sight.
Even the most enchanting storybook couples would stare amazed at the adoration Fred Weasley and Y/n L/n shared for each other. Two best friends pining for the other without realizing the mutual warmth that had grown. Spending countless hours together, hiding their flushed cheeks, sweaty palms and loving eyes to enjoy every moment spent together.
When the Yule ball was announced Fred had fallen flat on his face running up to ask you. He’d spotted you in the clock tower courtyard with one of your friends and he knew immediately, you were the only person he’d want to go with. He sprinted up to you intending to drop to his knee and ask, but his foot got caught in the stone and he fell for you the second time. Now any other person may have lost hope and ran away, but Fred Weasley was determined to make the most of it, rebounding it with a cheesy pick up line, In true Fred fashion.
Cinderella would’ve glared in jealousy when the two of you waltzed across the dance floor. Not only was the night magical, but it was awkward, nervous, and fun. It didn’t seem like the far fetched dance at the end of a film, it felt real. You’d step on his toes and he’d shuffle his hand around your waist, but when it came down to it, you didn’t care. You really did feel like a princess dancing in the arms of her lover, swaying to the beautiful music as other students starred in awe at the two gryffindors gliding around the room, laughing happily while moving their feet in a mesmerizing waltz.
That night Fred Weasley finally asked you to be his girlfriend, he got down on his knee in the middle of the dance floor, pouring his heart out to you, his confession wiping even the soliloquies of Romeo Montague out of the water.
“Y/n, from the moment you started to talk to me in our third year, I fell. You make me smile, laugh, blush and always know how to cheer me up. Honestly, why didn’t you start talking to me sooner? I never knew how much I needed you, but my eyes have been cleared, my feelings in tune and now I’m asking you on the dance floor to maybe take this foolish man to be your prince?”
Droplets emerged from your eyes as you shook your head up and down, happy tears flowing free as you pulled the red-head up again.
The entire student body had paused to take in the scene before them, watching in surprise as Fred Weasley stood to his feet to dip the girl with tear stained cheeks into a low kiss, only standing again to catch his breath before stealing you away out the door.
You’d give anything to go back to that night. The seed of young adoration finally blossoming into a flower of love. Love so true, beautiful and pure you’d probably blind anyone who saw. You ran through the halls to Black Lake, dancing to the beats of your hearts in the embrace of your love, swaying in the moonlight as puzzle pieces of your life finally seemed to fall into place and stars aligned.
Holding your love in your arms is a feeling so surreal and fantastic, something that has an addicting property that you couldn’t help but crave. When Fred’s arms surrounded you, you didn’t feel trapped, enclosed, barricaded. You felt free, as though you could fly.
It is hard to define love, but what was between the redhead prankster and gryffindor dreamer painted a clear picture for anyone to see. Love opens the best in us, it reveals pieces of us never seen before and unlocks emotions never known. Fred grew more in love with you with each passing day and his desire to see the smile upon your face never faded.
Your love for your prince charming was something that would never be taken away from you. Everyday took your breath away and every time Fred smiled at you, your brain seemed to turn to mush, the childhood pining never seemed to leave.
Your last year at Hogwarts brought about some problems, with the monstrous pink toad and Fred’s tendencies for trouble, you could say difficulties were inevitable. Nights where Fred snuck into your dorm broken down, tired, and ready to collapse became frequent, especially after he was banned from the quidditch team. Fred was hesitant to reveal his sensitivity, but with cuts across his hands and the loss of his favourite activity, he was willing to lose it all just to rest in your arms again. Many nights he’d run to you, exhausted and restless. You’d hold him close, soothe him the best you could and heal his wounds to the best of your abilities. You didn’t know what to say, but you didn’t need to talk. Fred was content laying on your chest as you fussed over him, pressing kisses across his freckled face and mumbling rather choice words under your breath about the pink devil as you gently caressed his injured hand as light as a butterfly.
You were the first person he’d told his scheme to leave Hogwarts to, begging you to go with him and start a new life in a place he’d dreamt of since he was a child. He honestly wasn’t expecting you to agree, but how could you not? It’s not like you had much planned. Anyways, you were tired of the pain Fred had to endure during the past year, so if he was ready to leave, so were you.
You’d compare flying a broom into the sky as fireworks flashed behind you, to riding into the sunset on the back of a stallion, but yours was so much cooler. Fred had grabbed you from the floor and pulled you onto his broom, you clutched onto him for dear life as he and George flew their last victory lap and destroyed every last horrid plaque of rules that hung on the walls of the school of magic. Another feeling of freedom was evident throughout the entire building as victorious cheers sound from every window.
This was definitely better than a ride into the sunset.
Life with the twins in Weasleys’ Wizards Wheezes couldn’t be defined by just one word. It was exciting, chaotic and the most fun you’ve had in your life. Designing product boxes and using charms was more of your strong suit while the boys caused explosion after explosion, perfecting their concoctions. As weeks turned into months, you and Fred felt as though you were really living a couple’s life. Waking up wrapped in each other’s arm without the worry of being caught, making and eating breakfast to tunes on the radio, dancing to a record player as day bled into night and your feet finally got sore.
This is how fairy tale characters must feel after their story ends, you’d think every day, happy and so deeply in love, relishing every moment together and at peace.
You’d finally been introduced to Mrs. Weasley that coming Christmas, her tender love really made you feel welcome and almost moved you to tears.
“It’s nice to see Freddie finally found someone who loves him as much as you do, I can see it in your eyes darling, you’re perfect for him.”
Fred never understood why they said ‘fall’ in love, sure you may feel your senses fade at times but it was never like a fall. If it made sense he’d say he rose into love for you. You brought him to cloud nine, you raised his spirits whenever you joked with him when he was down. You raised the corners of his lips into a smile by just existing. You raised him further towards his dreams and supported him no matter what. Ironically, he dropped to his knee to propose to you, just like he had in your sixth year at the Yule Ball, once again pouring his heart out to you, this time to truly make you his.
“Here we are again, love.” He laughed as he fell to his knee behind you in a muggle park not too far from Diagon Alley.
“Darling, I love you. I love you so much and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. You push me towards my dreams, comfort me when I’m upset, and make me smile every single day. I realized how much I needed you back in our sixth year, but today I ask you to seal the deal and become, y/n Weasley?”
It is hard to define love, so many forms of it, so many ways to express it and spread it to the people around you, but when Fred Weasley proposed to you, people looked over and felt the unconditional love between two people that brought tears to their eyes. When Fred Weasley looked at you, you were his everything. His past, present and future, his calm during a storm, his brightest star.
When Y/n said yes, you could hear the love of the purest of heart. The love of a best friend and a partner.
Love opens the best in us, it reveals pieces of us never seen before and unlocks emotions never known. Fred could now ensure a smile on your face for the rest of your days, and the childhood pining could finally rest knowing you would be with this man forever.
When the war finally pulled the wizarding world into the dark, the prankster and the dreamer knew they wouldn’t be able to stand to the side. They needed to help bring back the peace, and they would fight beside the people they cared about. The wedding was postponed until further notice, but it was sworn on a pinky promise that as soon as the chaos was over, you’d pick up where you left off and walk down the aisle in your white dress.
As you stood on the Hogwarts school ground, death eaters on every side and Voldemort cackling maniacally, you reached out for your prince’s hand. Closing your eyes to regain your calm before you had to charge into the incoming fight. Fred had squeezed your hand before pressing his lips to yours in the most passionate kiss the two of you had ever shared.
Looking back, you should’ve held Fred there with you, by your side throughout the entire fight. You should have kept your hands interlocked, standing tall by each other’s side, an unbreakable force to be reckoned with.
Instead the two of you charged forward separated, fighting close, but by your friends’ sides, throwing spell after spell to inch closer to a brighter future. Pain didn’t matter, each wave of your wand could be a step closer to a happy tomorrow.
It was almost thrilling fighting by your classmate, protecting them brought a new sense of purpose to your being and drowned out everything else to focus on the task at hand. Things were turning your way, Neville slayed that dreaded snake, Harry returned, Voldemort would never win now right? Everything would turn out fine. Right?
How wrong you were.
Victory was within reach, death eaters were filtering into smaller numbers and your friends were still alive. Your head was swivelling for your love, the only thought on your mind being to find your prince, your knight, the love of your life. The flash of red hair was just ahead, the light at the end of the tunnel was right there. You called out his name and his head whipped to meet yours. Your eyes met and you could see your future, your wedding, a family, growing old with this man.
Then the rubble fell, and in a flash, everything was taken away from you.
It is hard to define love, but when witches and wizards heard the shrill cry of a heart being torn in half, they could feel the love y/n l/n held for Fred Weasley. The pure, unconditional love that would’ve withstanded the test of time and any problem life could throw her way. The love that had so much hope many people turned away, it was too much to bear. The love that had you digging even though your hands were scabbed and bleeding.
Now when you ask how Fred Weasley showed his love in this scenario, the only thing to say was he died with a smile on his face. He died knowing his last sight was the love of his life running towards him, ready to turn to the next chapter of their lives.
You dug through the rock frantically, grasping onto the hope that for some divine reason Fred could be alive.
This isn’t how the story is supposed to end, your prince was supposed to wrap you into your arms and every problem was supposed to melt away, you were supposed to marry, kiss in front of all your family and friends and live the rest of your days together.
Realization hit you like a speeding train, you were never going to walk down the aisle to see Fred’s reaction to you in a white dress, you were never going to hold your child in your arms and see Fred become the amazing father you knew he would become. You were never going to see him grey and old, still a prankster and still deeply in love. You were never going to feel his lips against yours ever again. Hear his whispers in your ear about how much he loved you, or his melodic laugh that brought butterflies to your stomach every time.
Turns out, the villain of your story wasn’t unrequited love, it wasn’t Umbridge or even Voldemort. It was something even more cruel and insufferable. Death is not something humans really understand, even the most powerful witches and wizards cannot deny that death will come upon you, it is inevitable. There is so much about death we do not understand. All we know is one minute they’re here, the next they’re gone. But you might say, this is a fairy tale, there’s bound to be a happy solution and our lovers will get their happy ending. No, this is reality and our lovers were not that lucky, and the loss of half a heart is not something to be taken lightly.
“No.”
When Fred’s body was retrieved, you were joined by the rest of the Weasley family in their grieving, and while you could never understand what it would be like to lose a brother and a son, you’d lost the man you were going to spend the rest of your days with, and that left a hole in your heart never to be repaired, never to heal.
To lose a lover, but to hold their lifeless body in your arms is a surreal feeling you wouldn’t wish on your worst enemy, it’s something that has the power to break even the strongest people and make the most positive lose hope. Every ounce of love in your being spilt through tears that held every wish and hope you’ve ever had. That day you lost your feeling of freedom, and a sick sense of being trapped plagued your every move.
This isn’t how the story was supposed to end.
“What happened to their ‘happily ever after?” A young girl asks her father.
“Well young y/n, as you may know you were named after the very girl who fell in love with my brother and lost everything. Some say she died of a broken heart, others say Freddie came back and took her away to paradise.” An older George Weasley smiles down at his young daughter, snuggled in blankets, clutching a picture frame in her small hands.
“But why couldn’t uncle Fred come back? I thought every fairy tale ends with a happily ever after, those were aunt y/n’s favourite stories right?” Young y/n’s brown eyes flash in confusion and hurt as she lowers the photo of you to her lap.
“Yes, they were her favourite. There was no doubt her and Fred had a love greater than any fairy tale, but not all love stories get a ‘happily ever after.’ Sometimes it’s just a ‘once upon a time.”

CHARACTER STUDY: MONTGOMERY “SULLY” SULLIVAN
— basics.
▸ is your muse tall/short/average?
Sully is 6′3″ so he a bit of a tall boi
▸ are they okay with their height?
He’s very comfortable with his height. He likes being tall which both adds to the intimidation factor when he needs it to and makes him generally more desirable, which he’s a fan of.
▸ what’s their hair like?
His hair is usually kept pretty short with neat waves throughout, very rarely letting it get too long or unkempt.
▸ do they spend a lot of time on their hair/grooming?
Sully is very meticulous about all aspects of his appearance, so his hair is no exception. He’s got loads of products to keep it well taken care of and takes his time each day making sure it looks just right.
▸ does your muse care about their appearance/what others think?
As mentioned above, Sully is big on appearances. He always wants to be the best looking, best dressed, most well put together person in any room he’s in. Whether that’s hanging out in The Bowery, schmoozing it up in the Diamond District, or on the job in his Triggerman uniform, great care is taken with his looks. He has an extensive skincare routine he never breaks from, he regularly gets manicures and pedicures to keep his nails done, he works out regularly to stay in shape and maintain his desired physique, he even has a specific regimen for trimming his body hair.
In terms of clothing, in his every day Sully tends to wear clothing that’s needlessly, prohibitively expensive and flashy, just to show that he can afford luxury without breaking a sweat. Custom tailored suits by famous designers, high end jewelry and watches that could pay off someone’s mortgage, shoes made from exotic animal hides, the works. At any given time, Sully wants you to know, if nothing else, two major things about him: He’s pretty and he has money.
— preferences.
▸ indoors or outdoors? indoors ▸ rain or sunshine? rain ▸ forest or beach? beach ▸ precious metals or gems? gems ▸ flowers or perfumes? perfumes ▸ personality or appearance? personality ▸ being alone or being in a crowd? being in a crowd ▸ order or anarchy? order ▸ painful truths or white lies? painful truths ▸ science or magic? science ▸ peace or conflict? conflict ▸ night or day? night ▸ dusk or dawn? dusk ▸ warmth or cold? warmth ▸ many acquaintances or a few close friends? a few close friends ▸ reading or playing a game? reading
— questionnaire.
▸ what are some of your muse’s bad habits?
His horrendous overspending, he can underestimate opponents, he’s hella vain, he’s way too comfy with murder, and a whole host of various other vices/faults. Sully can be charming, and he’s not without his sense of humanity, but at the end of the day he’s considered one of the Rogues for a reason.
▸ has your muse lost anyone close to them? how has it affected them?
Sully’s parents are both dead. His father died when he was a boy, and it hit him pretty hard as he looked up to his father. It also taught him early on about the risk involved in a life of crime, and while it did not deter him from it it showed him that he needed to make his choices wisely.
▸ what are some fond memories your muse has?
He’s got plenty of childhood memories or cherished moments with close friends that would fit the bill here, but some of the memories that he is most fond of and looks back on most often are ones of particularly challenging jobs he’s taken over the years. Kills that required some unique strategies to pull off, fights that were a rewarding challenge (like some of his tussles with a certain caped crusader), things like that. Sully is very aware of the fantastical life he’s lead, and it’s something he’s very pleased with. His older years don’t have nearly as much excitement to them, so he tends to look back on more eventful days in quiet moments.
▸ is it easy for your muse to kill?
Sully has no qualms about killing. It’s the job, and he does it very well. Killing isn’t his go to option in his everyday life, but when things get to that point he doesn’t bat an eyelash or feel any remorse. When they’re not happening to someone he cares about, death and pain are things he’s become rather numb to.
▸ what’s it like when your muse breaks down?
Sully isn’t really prone to breaking down. Aside from having some formidable mental fortitude, things generally don’t stress Sully out much. He’s built a life of security, luxury, and ease, and with little capable of threatening it stability he doesn’t often get upset.
If he were to break down, however, his response would likely be to recede into himself. Depending on what’s caused the problem, this could take one of two forms:
1- he stays in his Triggerman uniform and seeks out trouble to let loose his emotional turmoil out on others with violence
2- total isolation from everything. locks himself in his house and doesn’t come out until he’s essentially shut down and rebooted from whatever messed him up. In either case, wouldn’t reach out to anyone and would try to avoid direct confrontation with whatever the problem may be until such time he’s decided he’s ready to deal.
▸ is your muse capable of trusting someone with their life?
The only person Sully really trusts implicitly, in general, is Zeke. The rest of his circle are people he has varying degrees of loyalty to, and he typically doesn’t expect any of them to betray him, but Zeke is the one person he can truly be said to trust. The biggest expressions of trusting Zeke with his life are the fact that Zeke is the CEO of his company and the builder of his suits. If Zeke wanted to, he could ruin and/or end Sully’s life on a whim, but even the mere notion of him doing such a thing doesn’t so much as cross Sully’s mind.
▸ what’s your muse like when they’re in love?
It’s only ever happened the once, and for a brief time he made him truly believe in the future as a certainty; a dangerous thing for one in his chosen line of work. He believed in building a life with someone, he dreamed of being more than he chose to be. It didn’t last long, and losing that dream hardened him to love. If someone were to manage it now, they’d likely get him to be vulnerable in ways he hasn’t allowed himself to be in years. They’d get showered in gifts, and much of his attention would be pulled away from his work. It’s harder to go out and risk your life when someone is waiting for you to make it home.
All that said, it’s an uphill battle to get Sully to fall in love at this point.

returning fire with multiples of 5 for my babies marc and sahar >:))
Did you think I forgot or gave up Macy? Cause I didn’t and I have all of them answered for you. Please enjoy some of them.
5. - Nicknames? Pet names? Any in-jokes?
Sahar will call him Moony, (Crazy) Moon Man, Marky, Edge Lord, and anything else that sounds like an insult in a very affectionate manner. Marc will throw back and call her Shut In, Priestess, Dawn, Ghost Whisperer, and Soothesayer. Many of their in-jokes revolve around their own struggles of their lives and brains and sort of being on the opposite sides for a hot minute. One that’s on the sweeter side though is that when its dusk he’ll turn to her (or anyone really) and say it’s her time of day this is when she’s the most her she’ll ever be. It relates to the meaning of her name and funny because well dusk is their dawn given the schedule they keep.
10. - Who drives? Cooks? Does the handiwork? Cleans? Pays the bills? Handles the public?
Neither drive as they live in New York why would you? Marc had a driver once upon a time, however Jake drives and is the only one to do so. Cooking? Well, more Sahar but she isn’t particularly fond of having to do so. Handiwork? Soldier does it. Cleans? Both. Pays bills? Steven/Marc. Steven makes the cash and Marc just makes sure it’s on time. Handles the public? They live on a vampire schedule. There is no public. Do not ever perceive them. If you did then it’s Sahar or Steven.
15. - How adventurous are they?
In general? Honestly they want to just keep to themselves. Please no more world ending, world endangering, laws that persecute them, like just let them have some peace for a little bit and become hermits together.
Sexually? Well they could be if I didn’t separate them before they really had a chance to see how far they’d go. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
20. - What does their home look like? Their room?
Sahar’s apartment always stays a bit simplistic, with furniture you can tell was bought used and for cheap, but the feel of the place gets warmer as the two spend more time together. Pictures are hung and placed, a few might blooming plants are placed, there’s more than one set of dishes, and the (blackout) curtains have some color and pattern go them.
25. - How much time do they spend together? Do they share their feelings, or hold things in?
At first for these two its just a few days a week for a few minutes, then its almost every day, until there’s a little hang up where Marc tries (and fails) to keep away after her attack, but once it seems like that’s not happening they spend every day together. Its almost as if they’re living together given how much Marc stays the night at Sahar’s place. Once she joins the Midnight Mission they really spend every day with the other.
Now as for feelings....These two kept many of them back for a long time. It takes Sahar almost dying for him to even admit that he can’t stay away from her. Sahar never really says it herself either until that moment but she’s more of someone that will show rather than tell. Once they both establish that they’re together in some capacity the feelings come out easier but mostly when they’re alone, though its obvious they love each other when together and you see them in group dynamics.
30. - Could they manage a long distance relationship?
Yes and no. Yes because they can communicate very easily, but no because they worry about the other on a daily basis. They’re vigilantes and with that comes a higher risk of losing the other. And don’t even bring up the whole different universe thing!
35. - Do they bring out the best in each other, or the worst? Do they have a fatal flaw?
I think its a little more complicated than that. These two neither bring out the worst or the best but simply bring them more life. They both are coming to a better place that isn’t because of the other solely, but simply having found someone else opened up doors that neither would have really had if they hadn’t come across one another again. These two bring an understanding of the other that not everyone meets or cares to find out about. Its hard to explain but this isn’t something that’s black and white as if I was to answer for another couple.
40. - Any special memories? Do they have a special place they like to go to?
Marc and Sahar hold onto the memory of when they first admitted some feelings for the other despite the circumstances that lead them to that moment. Sahar will always hold onto when he first fully took off his mask for her. Marc’s is when she admitted to having her hallucinations on the rooftop after she almost went too far. One memory though that Steven holds onto as special was a dance they shared briefly at some company Christmas party before life hit them both. They had both laughed at the irony of two people who didn’t celebrate the holiday to be at such a heavy Christmas themed event.
45. - Any special dreams or goals they have as a couple? Any heartbreaks? Regrets?
For both of them their biggest regret was not saying how they felt before she was sent to another place he could never hope to find.

A/N: first chapter is finally here!! this series is dedicated to the lovely @belovedcherry who commissioned this story and developed the concept. thank you for being a friend when i truly needed it. i’m really glad that you trusted me to write this story for you. with all my heart, i sincerely hope you like it. this series will be updated everyday, there will be 4 more chapters ahead.
PICTURE EXCLUSIVE: New Couple Alert! Steve Rogers and a blondie bombshell can’t keep their hands off each other! The headline verbalized.
The notorious heartthrob was spotted leaving The Ritz-Calton Hotel in Los Angeles around 2 AM with Spanish model, Alondra Ondiviela, 28, who looked stunning in a salmon sports bra and black overall, as she walked hand-in-hand with Dusk and Dawn star, Steve Rogers.
Steve Rogers was last linked to Blade in Deep actress, Anne Amorós back in early spring this year but had reportedly split after only two months dating.
Steve Rogers has been previously linked to many gorgeous models in the past, earning him the infamous title of ‘Hollywood’s favourite ladykiller.’ Will Alondra Ondiviela be the one to finally make Steve Rogers settle down and give up his womanizer ways? Placing our bets on how long this couple is going to last!
You closed the tab on your browser as you sighed defeatedly on your couch. You laid your head back on the headrest as you shut your eyes and folded your arms against your chest. Just how many more gossip articles can you endure?
Steve Rogers was your childhood best friend and… Perhaps the only man you had ever truly loved. You knew it was nothing but sheer naivety for you to concede that. You knew it was cruel and inequitable to your heart, but, you still held on to that tiny glimpse of hope that someday, things will change. He will change. Despite all the shit he had put you through, you couldn’t abnegate yourself from him. He always lured you back in with his sweet words and sinful lips whenever you try to expel him from your door.
It wasn’t always like this. Back in kindergarten, Steve used to be this good, shy, scrawny kid who had a blistering passion for art. He was always very twitterpated by watching live shows on stage. When you were kids, Steve would try to sneak both of you into the theatre when the lights were out. Steve didn’t grow up in a very lucky family. His abusive father abandoned his mother when he was only four years old, and since then, his mom had been working tirelessly to keep a roof over their heads and fill in their fridge with food.
You, on the other hand, were a little luckier than him. Your parents had decent jobs that paid the bills well enough to survive. Whenever Steve was short in cash, you would always offer him a little bit of your pocket money or your meal. You would even offer to buy tickets for both of you so you didn’t have to sneak in and could actually get good seats. But he would always say, “well, where’s the fun in that?”
So you’d drop the topic and go along with whatever deceitful ways he had in mind. After all, he was your best friend and you trusted him. You’d rather choose the thrill of bootleg games than waiting ten minutes early before the show starts anyway. But you remember it vividly under the aura of those stage lightings and when the actors were personifying in their larger-than-life costumes, he would be so mesmerized by the show before him that sometimes he wouldn’t even say a word to you at all until it was over.
Before you went home, he and you would walk to the nearest burger place, where you would eat under the polychromatic neon sign and he would tell you, “someday, I’m going to my face on the big screen or one of those giant stages and I would make my mom proud!” he cheered. And you’d always encourage him, “…and I’ll be there to watch and clap for you in the audience.”
Rest in peace, to your naïve bravado… Little did you know, his dream was going to be your doom.
You remained closed friends as you grew up; going to the same school, sharing a few classes together, until, in high school, things began to change. He began to join auditions and taking art classes and extracurriculars. He became busier and busier every day to the point where he could only hang out with you on the weekends. That is when he absolutely had no rehearsals or he wasn’t too worn out from a week full of activities.
You also noticed the different manner and shift of inflexion when you two hung out. All he would talk about is the ‘clique’ of popular boys in school had asked him to sit with them at lunch and how the popular girls would start preening at him when he walked down the hallway. It was as if by partaking in these arts clubs, it gave him a VIP member card to get access into sitting with at exclusive spots and it upgraded his status.
He changed his looks as well, by going to the gym more often and eating more so that he would gain some muscles. He began dressing like one of those jocks and he would begin throwing in some flirtatious comments to those popular girls when they were around.
Eventually, he and you began to grow apart. It got worse when he started dating one of the popular girls, Janet, and he would ditch you even on weekends despite all the plans you had made weeks prior.
“I can’t hang out today, y/n. Janet’s parents are out of town and I think we are going to hook up in her giant pool!”
“But what about the movie that we planned to see together today? I thought you had been anticipating for it since a year ago?”
“I know, but can we just postpone it? It’s not like they are going to take it out tomorrow! We could still see it next weekend.”
“Well, we’ve bought the tickets, Steve.”
“Ah, shit, alright, I’ll just pay back the money, okay? How much are those tickets?”
“No, it’s fine, Steve. Don’t worry about it.”
“Really? You sure, y/n?”
“Yeah, I’ll just ask my mom or maybe Wanda to go see it with me. Don’t want those spoilers on the internet ruining it for me.” You chuckled hollowly. Disappointment filled up your heart but you pretended like it was alright, anyway. If Steve wanted to spend time with his girlfriend then, you had no right to stop him and force him to hang out with you.
“Ah, got it. Thanks, y/n. You’re the best!” and then the frozen seconds on the screen showed that he had ended the call.
The phone calls and text messages began to dwindle. You would often try to text or call him first but it would go to voicemail and or you would be left on read. When you were at school, Steve completely stopped hanging around you. He would rather be with his new ‘friends’ now. And he was too occupied with making out with Janet to notice you as you both walk past each other in the hall.
Wanda was your most trusted confidant and she knew about all the feelings you caged inside you for Steve. She would always be there for you when you cry over him and she would always encourage you to move on and stop trying to reach him. “You deserve so much better than this, y/n. Why would you ruin yourself for an asshole like him?”
Curse your adamant heart for refusing to listen to Wanda and take her advice. In the bottom of your heart, you knew that Wanda was right. You deserved so much better than what Steve had turned you into. You used to be this bright-eyed, rose-coloured heart person who saw your future in a radiant lustre. You were always drawn to helping people out. You used to think that maybe you’d end up being a nurse or a school counsellor, but as you grew older, gradually, you realized that there is far way more pernicious malady than physical ones.
Like the wound in your heart that Steve keeps tapping on every time he acts like he didn’t know you or he left another call or text unanswered. Every time he posted pictures of him and Janet, or him and ‘the boys’ who would walk around the school as they owned it. You had always dreaded those boys. You knew they were bad news and you didn’t want to be associated with them under any circumstances. You and Steve used to make fun of them, how much of a loser they are and how negligent they are toward their grades. But who would’ve known that Steve would turn into his own worst abomination?
Eventually, like all good (and bad) things, they must come to an end. You graduated with a 3.8 GPA and you were proud of yourself for all those times you spent being at home to do your homework and study until around 2 AM.
You were happy; you were satisfied with your grades, your parents were there, cheering for you in the audience and taking countless pictures of you when you walked on stage, and you could finally move forward to the next stage of your life. But something was missing.
“Gosh, I can’t wait to finally graduate.” He scanned the paper with a mark that mocked him in big bold red as he sat at the edge of your twin-sized bed. You had just returned from school and you had received the result of your Math tests. You luckily got a B+ but clearly, Steve didn’t acquire the same latter.
“C’mon, it’s just one bad test. It doesn’t mean that your life is over.”
“I know but, I don’t like seeing a C+ on my test, y/n. It makes me feel inadequate. Besides, I need a solid 3.7 GPA in order to get into NYU. Otherwise, I wouldn’t stand a chance.”
“Stop being so dramatic, you still have what it takes. You just need to do a lot better in the next one.”
“Yeah, I’m really gonna have to work my ass off though. Math has never been my strongest suit.”
“Neither it’s mine, but you know what? Someday we’ll wear our graduation hat and this wouldn’t even matter. You’d probably forget that you’ve ever had a C in your high school year.”
You recalled those times where Steve would endlessly talk about graduating and what would happen when both of you go on separate ways. He would tell you “don’t be silly. We’ll always be best friends even if we go to different universities. It’s not like we don’t have a phone, y/n.”
You always imagined that on your graduation day, you both would celebrate it together but of course, those dreams have long perished. Steve didn’t even have a smile on his face when your name was being announced.
He was supposed to be there, standing right next to you and engulf you in a warm, giant hug. The one that he used to give on your birthdays. But no, now, you could only watch him from several feet away farther than you both used to be. You could only hear his echoing laugh as he high-fived the boys and twirl Janet around up in the air like the happy ending in your favourite Rom-Com movies.
That should be me. Your heart cry mourned for the memories and the fractured promises. It was like there was this colossal fortress between the two of you and while you were fighting to climb it to reach him, he, on the other hand, didn’t even have the patience to wait for you.
It’s okay though. At least you had your parents and Wanda and her parents and twin brother, Pietro who adorned this special day distracting you away from the anguish of missing Steve. You were going to spend this entire day with the people who truly loved you and you loved just as equal before you had to leave for the new phases of your own lives.
You will finally move to your college dorm, have yourself a roommate, and invest your time and energy in something that you knew you were always meant to do and it excites you that your journey of helping people will start soon.
And Steve Rogers will be nothing but a consigned to oblivion memory that will sink like a battleship beneath the waves.
At least for now.

Why are they harrassing you? Who do I have to fight? i will fight them all omg. LEAVE THIS POOR PERSON ALONE YOU JERKS.
Royalty Au
Kakashi and Gai have known each other since childhood. It’s an outcome of Kakashi’s father, Sakumo, being the royal guard to King Dai. That plus Sakumo being an only father since his wife's death, and he finds himself having to have Kakashi by his side a lot growing up. He could get someone to take care of his son, but Kakashi keeps running them into the ground and scaring them off.
Thankfully, the king is very understanding and loves that his son has someone else to play with. Most people who interact with Gai treat him like a porceline. Like they have to be super careful around him or he might shatter. Kakashi doesn’t do that. He respects Gai of course. Calls him ‘your highness’ and always bows when they greet each other or say goodbye, but otherwise, he considers Gai his friend. They run around the garden together, learn together, play together. Everything that Gai does, Kakashi does with him. Sometimes Kakashi will even be able to help Gai with his learning, being a quick learner himself who can explain things better for Gai than his tutor.
As they grow up, they continue to hang out. Even when Kakashi starts to train under Lady Kushina as a page at the age of 7, Kakashi will often use his time off from training to spend with Gai.
Gai is the first person Kakashi ever tells of his dream to become a great knight. Not just like his father, but even better. He wants to prove that he’s talented and smart and that he can protect the Kingdom and the Prince from anything and anyone. Gai feels a little sad that day, even though he loves the excitement in Kakashi’s voice when he hears about his dream. But knowing that Kakashi is going to put himself into a job that could get him killed young, all to try to prove himself. that hurts Gai’s heart.
When Kakashi is promoted to Squire at the age of 11, it’s a huge celebration. People are amazed by this kid's progress. the standard age for becoming a squire is 15, and Kakashi’s already well on his way to becoming the youngest knight in history. Even with his extra duties though, he makes sure to always visit Gai in the garden at least twice a week. They still have race’s around the place, and sometimes Kakashi will show Gai how to sword fight. Gai does get lessons from a tutor of course, but he finds that he learns easier from Kakashi. Kakashi just has a way of talking to him that helps him understand quicker. Plus Kakashi always lets him make things into a competition, which helps a lot with getting him pumped and ready to learn.
When Kakashi is knighted at the age of 16, Gai’s not sure how to feel. He’s excited for his old friend of course. This was part of Kakashi’s dream. He’s already making a name for himself separate from his father. But at the same time, Gai’s terrified that this means he won’t have any time with Kakashi anymore. Kakashi will be too busy to visit him, and he’ll be alone with no one to hang out with but the people who treat him like porcelain.
Of course, Dai won’t have that. Kakashi is immediately made Gai’s royal guard. Partially to keep him out of the field where he might find nothing but a young death, and partially to keep Kakashi and Gai close. He knows how important the two are to each other already, and he refuses to be the one to tear them away from each other.
When it comes to marriage at the age of 20, Gai is not excited. He can’t think of anyone he wants to marry, and he always finds problems with the people that he is presented with. Genma is too pessemistic, Obito is too... well, Obito. Him and Kisame just want to rip each others throats out most of the time, and while he gets along fine with Rin the two of them both agree they’d prefer to be friends.
It’s not until someone mentions to Kakashi that he should also be looking to settle down that Gai realizes why he can’t choose a marriage partner.
He doesn’t want anyone else. He wants to be with Kakashi. To have Kakashi by his side, not just as his knight, but as his partner.
He knows it’s not conventional. Most people marry royalty from other lands to strengthen treaties or secure partnerships. But his father never married. He found other ways to do those things, so surely Gai can too. Right?
He’s afraid to bring it up to his father. Terrified that he’ll be rejected. But when he finally does, Dai just laughs and tells his son that it’s about time. That he just needed to tell him what it was he wanted, and he would make it happen for him.
Gai and Kakashi don’t get married right away. Neither of them is in a rush.
But when they do it’s a big event, and Kakashi is not pleased about this fact.
Both of their fathers are standing by their side, proud that their sons have found each other and can be together. That they know who’s side they belong at. Kakashi can’t imagine Anyone else protecting Gai, and Gai wouldn’t have anyone else standing beside him as his husband or as his royal guard.
Kakashi’s position does not change at all. There are people of course who are adamant that the King's husband cannot be his royal guard. that the position is too dangerous.
But Dai knows that neither of the boys are going to let anyone else take Kakashi’s position, and he’s alright with that. Kakashi has always been the one to protect Gai, and he always will be.
Skill Swap Au
Kakashi and Gai still meet outside of the academy, but it’s Kakashi who has been turned away. Denied entry because of his lack of skill in Ninjitsu or Genjutsu. Gai feels bad for the other boy. He looks so sad standing there by his father's side, the White fangs side, knowing that he can’t get into the academy because he has been deemed ‘not good enough
Seeing something in Kakashi that no one else did, Gai decides to challenge him to a spar. It takes a few attempts, and Kakashi gets annoyed really easily at his challenges and tries to remind him that he’s just going to lose to ‘the genius’, but finally Kakashi caves.
And Kakashi loses, badly. But when he crawls to his feet and stuffs his hands into his pockets determined to leave, Gai stops him and tells him that they should spare again.
And he doesn’t stop challenging Kakashi. No matter how many times Kakashi wants to give up. No matter how often the two of them hear that Gai’s ‘wasting his time with a failure’. Gai never gives up on Kakashi.
He knows what Kakashi could be capable of. He has seen his own father train her to be strong, and he has seen Kakashi training on his own. Kakashi is not a quitter. He works his butt off and always comes home bruised and tired from his efforts. Gai knows if they just keep at it, that Kakashi can become strong.
Ultimately, with Gai’s help and a lot of perseverance, Kakashi finally makes it into the academy. It’s a moment of celebration for them both and Gai can’t stop congratulating Kakashi.
Halfway through the year, Sakumo’s mission goes terribly wrong, and suddenly ‘the white fang’ is a name no longer spoken with pride. It’s a name that people spit venom at. And that loss in pride hits Kakashi hard. After Sakumo’s death, Kakashi disappears from the academy.
Gai’s terrified that Kakashi has given up. That he’s just going to let those hateful people’s words win and stop trying to become a great shinobi.
He’s wrong. Oh so wrong. Kakashi’s more determined than ever to prove himself. to show the village that he can be a great Ninja no matter what they say. Every day from dawn to dusk Kakashi trains endlessly. Pushing himself to near collapse just to get stronger.
It’s at this point, after finding Kakashi unconscious in a field after a long day of training, that Dai decides to show him the eight gates.
Having Kakashi around the house a lot more is pretty weird, but Gai also really enjoys it. Kakashi’s not always the friendliest person, but he’s always helping out around the house with chores.
Gai graduated from the academy at the age of five, setting the record for the youngest shinobi to become a genin ever. Choza Sensei decides when he’s six to have him compete in the chunin exams, and he is promoted before any of his classmates even make genin.
Kakashi graduated at the age of seven, which is still really impressive given the fact that people have always said he would never amount to anything.
Gai gets placed on team choza with Ebisu and Genma, while Kakashi gets placed on Team Minato with Obito and Rin. Kakashi’s still very ‘by the rules’ because of his father, but rather than fighting with Obito over who’s stronger, Kakashi and Obito get along a bit better.
By the time they’re 11, Kakashi has actually managed to beat Gai in a fight. It’s no surprise to Gai when he becomes a chunin along with the others, even as Gai is promoted to Jonin ahead of them.
Team Minato still gets the Kannabi bridge mission, but they’re given another Jonin to lead the mission while Minato takes care of his part of it. When Rin is kidnapped, Obito convinces Kakashi to go with him to get her even though they’re going directly against Jonin’s orders.
Kakashi still loses his eye protecting Obito, Obito still awakens his sharing, and then Obito ‘dies’ saving Kakashi from being crushed by a bolder.
Kakashi is blamed for the mission going wrong when they get back to Konoha, but instead of allowing it to eat at him, he decides to keep training. To become stronger and show the village that he’s not the failure they think he is.
Gai is determined to help him in this mission and starts making their competitions into training sessions together.
Whenever someone gets rude with Kakashi or blames him for Obito’s death, they usually find themselves meeting the end of Gai’s foot. Kakashi may not be willing to stand up to them, but Gai is more than happy to do it for them.
Rin doesn’t die in this au because of Kakashi. Instead, recognizing that she has no other way out, she uses Kakashi’s distraction while fighting the enemy shinobi to take her own life.
Obito’s still mad at Kakashi for not being able to save her, and Kakashi still see’s her blood on his hands in his nightmares. But that’s because he actually held her body while she bled out.
Recognizing his student’s strength and hurt, Minato decides to shove Kakashi into Anbu. Something that’s frowned upon by many until Kakashi starts going out onto missions. They’re surprised by his sheer strength and ability in the field.
When Minato dies against the Kyuubi, Kakashi sinks deeper into depression and tries to push everyone away, including Gai.
Of course, Gai doesn’t allow this. He refuses to let Kakashi suffer alone and always tries to keep up with their competition and spars.
When he realizes just how bad Anbu is affecting Kakashi’s mental health, Gai decides to try and join so that he can be with him. But he’s turned away because of his personality (just like in Canon)
So instead, he decides to get Kakashi out.
Kakashi’s not too happy to be made a join sensei after being shoved out of Anbu, but he takes it as punishment for not being able to help Itachi avoid the massacre route that he chose to take (in Kakashi’s eye since he doesn’t know the truth at this point)
Over the years, Kakashi has grown a lot as a shinobi. Even Itachi was surprised to see just how strong Kakashi was with just Taijutsu and did a lot of training with him to improve his own Taijutsu.
Come the Chunin exams with Team seven and Team Gai, Neji, Lee, and Tenten are unsurprised to find that Team Seven is extremely skilled in Taijutsu. Kakashi has taught them well, and these three are ready to take names and kick butt.
Sasuke still loses in his fight against Lee, but Lee’s proud to say that he was taught Taijutsu from their sensei (taught first by Gai, and then improved upon by Kakashi) and that they’re surely going to get stronger with more time under him.
The month that Kakashi spends training up Sasuke’s taijutsu is possibly the worst month of Sasuke’s life. He’s introduced to Kakashi’s personal training methods and it is not fun. Not one bit.
And after the chunin exams, while the village is trying to repair itself from the Konoha crush and settle into some sense of nromality, Itachi and Kisame show up. This time, it’s Gai who faces down Itachi and ends up in a 72 hour genjutsu. Itachi knows better than to allow the genius time to come up with a plan. But then just as Kisame is about to swoop in and finish Gai, Kakashi shows up and kicks him away. A genius and the best taijutsu master of Konoha? Itachi is out. This is not worth the hassle.
Sasuke finds out about Itachi's appearance in the village while Kakashi, Kurenai and Asuma are watching over Gai while he's resting from Itachi's attack. Kakashi of course goes after his student
Kakashi also gets to the the 'dynamic entry' against Jiraiya, kicking him in the face and away from his students. He recognizes Jiraiya of course, but damn he'd be lying if he said that didn't feel good.

Hey, if requests are still open, how do you think the ghouls (and papas if you're in the mood!) would react/behave around a s/o who has to work from home (because of huge social anxiety and burn out), thank you x)
Hello there! This was written way back then by @oriharaobito ! The actual ask got eaten but we had it copy and pasted above! Enjoy! - Rosie
Dewdrop: Probably the most active of all the ghouls, he’ll probably come annoy you while you’re trying to work often. He doesn’t understand that you have work to do and will think “being home = available to do whatever”. You’re gonna have to distract him with like… colouring pages, or a video game, or tell him he needs to go hang out with friends. He’ll protest and say he wants to spend time with you. He knows he can’t drag you out of the house unless you’re in the mood, so that means he’s gotta stay home with you if he wants your attention. That doesn’t make him any less energetic, though. Don’t expect to get a lot of work done unless you’re gonna seriously lay it on him that you can’t just stop working to entertain him. He’ll get the message… eventually.
Aether: Respects your space, if you’re in your home office he’s not likely to bug you. Totally willing to go do his own thing while you work. Sometimes if you ask he’ll sit with you while you work and play guitar so you have some background noise, or he’ll make light conversation. Probably the most prone to making you take breaks if he thinks you’ve been working too long, though. Will drag you out to the kitchen for dinner, or maybe go sit outside for a breather. He knows work is important, but so is play. You can go back to work later.
Mountain: Gonna have to figure out a schedule for work calls/quiet time vs when he gets to play drums at home. Personally I’m not averse to randomly listening to someone play drums but… not everyone would be a fan. Also respects your work space and doesn’t mind giving you some quiet time if you need it. When he feels like you need to take a break he’d probably knock on the doorframe and present you with a mug of tea or coffee or hot chocolate… whatever you prefer. That or a little snack. Or he’d pop in to say, “Y’know, it’s about 1, which is normally lunch time… I don’t wanna eat alone, so…” Is too cute when asking to say no to.
Swiss: Like Dew, probably a little annoying. He wants to sit in your workspace with you, and he’ll be pretty quiet, but he’s so touchy. Playing with your hair, kissing your neck, wanting to hold your hand, sitting there and gently pushing your chair. He’s silently annoying. You can give him exasperated sighs and eye rolls and huffs galore, but it’ll just make him smile and chuckle. Eventually you’re either gonna have to give into his pestering, or politely remind him your work is important. If you go with the latter he’s gonna pout and ask, “What? I’m not?” earning him another sigh. He’s kidding, and you know that, but there’s really no getting out of showing him he’s important to… He won’t tease you all the time because he’s fine to entertain himself, but sometimes he can’t help but pester you into taking a break.
Rain: Finally, someone who can sit in your office and keep you company quietly, AND without bothering you. He’s going to find something of his own to work on to keep him busy, he might even put earbuds in to work. Much more prone to losing track of time, though, and sitting there working for hours on end with no break. You’re going to have to set reminders or alarms for breaks or lunch. Sometimes when he isn’t sitting quietly working on his own thing with you, he’ll come in to get you to take a break and take a nap with him. He’ll argue that a good nap in the middle of the day could make you more productive. Don’t fact check him (or me) though, it’s probably best to just give in. Probably also not the most social, so stay home for however long you want.
Cirrus: Responsible time management queen. Definitely prone to reminding you to take breaks to stretch, or have a snack or lunch, or some tea, or a nap… just wants you to take good care of your body. Your mind, too! She’ll get you a puzzle or something to do when you have some downtime. Or she’ll find you on a break and say, “You know what would be fun? If we cleaned the kitchen! Or did laundry!” And it’s not in a condescending way or to make you feel like you’ve been putting off chores. It’s just… something she can do to spend time with you. She wants to do the dishes with you, or fold laundry with you, or squeeze the dish soap bottle in front of you guys so it makes all those little pretty bubbles. Your work is important, so she won’t bother you when you’re focused. But when you have a moment, she’s gonna pounce on the opportunity to do something domestic with you.
Cumulus: You’ve been working pretty diligently, in the office most of the day. There has been some noise in the kitchen, but nothing you decided warranted investigation. Until, hours later, you definitely think that is the smell of something burning. When you slide into the kitchen (damn socks on tile) there is Cumulus, her cute apron has been made a complete mess, holding a tray of cookies in the chaos that was formerly called a functional kitchen. Flour and cookie dough are on every available surface, dishes piled high in the sink and the mixer still on the counter with plenty of cookie dough left in the bowl. Her sheepish smile makes you feel bad for wanting to get angry for a moment. “I just thought it’d be nice to make you a snack! You were so focused, I didn’t want to bother you, but I wanted to get you to take a break, maybe, so I thought I’d make cookies…” She’s going on and on about it, and you can’t help but snag a taste of the cookie dough out of the bowl. “I’m sorry if they taste bad, or that the kitchen’s a mess, or-” You cut her off before she can make any more apologies, because the cookie dough is so good, and she’s just as sweet - if not more. You take a break and settle down at the table with your new snacks and a chatty ghoul. Work (and cleaning up the kitchen) can wait a bit. Cookies are best fresh out of the oven.
Papa I: Home office buddies! You can both sit and work quietly in the same room. I think he might fall asleep in his chair sometimes, though. Try not to leave him there, it’s bad for his spine. Wake him up and you can both have some tea, or maybe sit and talk or have lunch. Sometimes he even has enough energy even to take a little walk with you when the weather is nice. When he does go out he makes sure you really want to stay home and work by yourself. Why not come work in his office for a day? Or work outside if you can? A change of scenery is always nice. You’re sure you want to stay home? Alright, but please make sure not to work for hours at a time. He’ll have sticky notes on his desk with the clergy reminding him to call you to make sure you’re getting adequate breaks. Or he’ll have a ghoul remind him to call you, or if he ends up being in the middle of something and can’t call, you’re getting a call with a ghoul on the end saying, “Papa requested I check with you to make sure you’re taking a break from your work at this time.” You can lie to the ghoul if you want, but would you really wanna lie to Papa? Might as well come back to what’s at your desk later.
Papa II: I know he’s a party animal and everything, but he’s also a pretty serious guy. You’d probably be the one to distract him from work before he distracts you. Early riser, he’s on that grind for the clergy from dawn to dusk. More prone to leaving the house to work, But he’ll leave you a little note each day before he leaves. When he is home, he’ll be somewhere in the house doing his own thing. Might sit down in your office if he’s feeling particularly friendly that day. If he thinks you need to take a break, whatever it may be for (wink wink nudge nudge) the possibility of getting out of it is slim to none. Like I said, pretty serious. Definitely the most prone to performing some not safe for work acts when he is feeling up to messing with you. Good thing is, you work from home. I don’t think he’d care either way, though.
Papa III: Has the same dirty mind as his older brother, but is laying on the charms instead of getting right to it. He wants to woo you away from your work. He’s showering you with compliments, telling you that you’re so gorgeous you shouldn’t have to waste the day working. He’s probably prone to occasionally dragging you away to go out to lunch. Somewhere quiet and private because he knows you probably aren’t one for big crowds or busy places. He likes to work but he also likes to play, he doesn’t take his own job seriously so he’s going to try to convince you to have the same mindset. You can get your work done most days, but you’ve definitely got a break or two in the middle of the day that’s all about Papa.
Cardinal Copia/Papa IV: He’s probably got about the same work ethic as you. Works for a reasonable amount of time each day, sometimes he forgets to take breaks or eat, and at the end of the day you can find him on the couch doing nothing because he did stuff all day and now he doesn’t wanna do stuff anymore. That’s alone, though. When you’re there, his day is immediately better. You can both complain to each other about work stuff, you can whip up something in the kitchen together, and you can sit on the couch in pajamas eating and watching trashy tv and roasting it. If he wasn’t currently in charge of the entire clergy, he’d likely work from home more often. But alas, his job is extremely important, and so most days he’s out of the house. Not prone to texting you or leaving notes, but he will do something more random that you’ll see. He’ll send something to your work e-mail. A sweet note, or a meme that his young-but-still-old-kinda man brain can grasp. Or sometimes he opens the window to send you something, gets distracted, and one of his rats runs across the keyboard while he’s turned away and you receive an e-mail that just says: “efjsksf’;d;;’;;..;]’.l;.” which is hilarious and makes you laugh for 10 minutes until you’re wheezing and maybe crying a little. Laugh breaks are the best breaks.

INFP-T | enneagram type 4 | sun: Sagittarius, moon: Cancer | Hate studying anything except English | Competitive when it comes to things I love and am passionate about | Like creative writing and interior designing(basically architecture) | Novels over movies | Even if i watch movies its either action or angst-drama, and always like the evil characters more than the good ones because I'm able to sort of understand why they do what they do, I believe everything has a reason, and every action is a result of something | I also believe in soulmates, love at first sight and all sorts of tropes like these | Obsessed with Greek and Roman mythology and ancient Egypt and just in general medieval eras | Love taking polaroid pictures and traveling | Aesthetic all the way, love being in the nature | I love fairylights and abstract paintings and night walks and stargazing | Love sad things | I'm sensitive to smell and don't like artificial scents | I like going to libraries and museums and cathedrals and old medieval buildings, beaches also and other nature aesthetic places | Always observing little details about everything that other people fail to notice | Easily scared or startled | Have huge trust issues and very sensitive | Have very few friends and am loyal before anything | I'm moved by little things and don't really like much of fancy dates, I like it simple and my favorite would be walk along the beach at night | Am very open-minded and wise but no one's really aware of that | Like disturbing people and then giving puppy eyes | Shy at first but when you get close with me I'm very loud, talkative, playful and annoyingly funny and weird | Just realized it yesterday that i tend to 'huh' a Lot | Clingy with people I am very close to(might even jump and koala hug them tbh) | Everyone's comfort pillar | Very expressive with words and actions | CLUMSY(I hit or bump into something at least once a day) | Love eating (taking advantage of my never getting fat genes lol) but am sort of quite picky | 5'2 - 157cm and I like tall people but I have no problem connecting with people on the shorter side of the height spectrum | Baby voice and baby face | side bangs and dark brown short almost straight hair which reaches just 4cms above the shoulders | Big chocolate brown eyes | Have slightly honey tanned skin | I'm a crybaby too, like if someone I love or care a lot about is getting scolded for whatever reason or they are sad or something then I tend to cry immediately. And while watching or reading sad things too | I do random sounds or actions too and I noticed recently I go 'huh' and 'uh' all the time | sometimes I don't even understand myself like a few days back I was wearing a black sock on my left foot and a white one on my right and then i forgot that i wore mismatched socks so when I noticed it after a while I got fascinated for literally no reason then within seconds i forgot about it again and then when it came to my notice again i got fascinated again and this went on the whole day lmao | My fashion style leans towards boho chic/bohemian and casual | And prefer bare face over makeup and converse over other footwear and dusk(sunset) over dawn(sunrise) but in the album I like dawn ver more🤭 | I love spicy and sour food and have a high tolerance of spice | And my love languages are acts of service>physical touch>quality time>words of affirmation.

tsukishima kei | dooms•day
tsukishima kei + gender neutral!reader
genre. romance, angst, bits of fluff
word count. 1.9k
recommended listening. matt maltese - as the world caves in
synopsis. how would you spend the next twenty-four hours, knowing that they would be your last?
12:00 AM | 23:59:59
The clock strikes midnight.
You exchange a glance with Tsukishima.
This is the beginning of the end, it says. Are you ready? it asks.
The meteor is en route to Earth. The planet has less than twenty-four hours left to live.
You haven’t been able to sleep much these days, and Tsukishima can’t blame you. Instead, you stay up together, a movie you’ve seen countless times playing in the background. “Can we watch something else? I don’t know how keen I am on making this one of the last movies I ever see,” he drawls.
Your relationship has always required mastery of reading between the lines, peering through the hairline cracks in words and actions for their true meaning. You called him out on it, once.
(“You’re like a nut,” you’d blurted, legs draped over his lap as you scrolled through your timeline.
There had been a beat of silence before he deadpanned, “What.” When you glanced up from your phone, he had been giving you a look.
Looks, in your relationship, are quite commonplace. Tsukki’s full of them: hard looks that express his exasperation, split seconds of pure adoration he thinks you don’t notice, and even capital-L Looks that lead to sweaty bodies against smooth bedsheets.
That night, his look had been one of muted curiosity. “You know,” you pressed on, sitting up to close the distance between you, “like how squirrels break open nuts to get to the good stuff.” To prove your point, you had knocked on his skull and stifled a laugh at his grimace.
“You’re calling me a nut?” His mouth was set into a hard line. “You could’ve just as easily called me an oyster, say I’m a pearl or some sappy shit like that.”
“First of all, no,” you frowned, having switched to carding your fingers through his hair. “When have we ever been into sappy shit? Besides, I think it’s funnier to call you a nut. So I will.”
“I don’t think I’ve ever hated anyone more in my life,” he said, leaning into your touch regardless.
“Uh huh. You keep telling yourself that.” You had taken the victory that night, planted a chaste kiss to his lips as your prize.)
You know he doesn’t mind the movie; in fact, you think he enjoys it. You don’t know how to tell him that a numb feeling’s set in, ghosting over your fingertips. You don’t know how to tell him that the two things keeping you steady are his arms around you and the movie (which, really, isn’t even that good) playing.
So you don’t. The way he holds you tighter than ever tells you everything you need to know.
3:16 AM | 20:44:15
“I take it we’re not sleeping tonight?” Tsukishima asks, long fingers wrapped around a mug of hot chocolate.
You blow on your own mug before responding. “What’s the point? We’ll be asleep soon enough.” Forever, you don’t add.
“Fair enough.”
The first sip is sweet in all the right ways. You cherish the little joy, the small victory, while you can.
5:49 AM | 18:11:57
The sun rises on the last day you’ll ever see. You and Tsukishima watch it crawl up the high-rise buildings around you, darkness giving way to dawn. You’ve never understood the appeal of chasing after sunrise and sunset, but you start to wish you hadn’t taken something so constant for granted.
Tsukishima’s fingers graze yours as they hang from the railing of your apartment’s balcony. His fingers toy with yours, intertwined without your palms touching. He does this often, and you’re sure you can map out the callouses of his fingers, each line of his palm by touch alone.
It’s as the sky bleeds from orange to pale blue that it hits.
Your eyes sting with incoming tears at the finality. You won’t finish college. You won’t get to live your dreams, move into a proper house. You won’t get to see Tsukki, your Tsukki at the end of the altar, waiting for you to join him.
“I love you,” you choke out, voice strained. It’s the only thing you can think to say at a time like this. “I mean it. I always mean it, but—” You try to stress your words, make it absolutely clear that you’ve never meant anything like you mean this. “I mean it. I love you, Kei.” You retract your hand from his, needing both to wipe away your tears.
When you turn to look at him, he’s crying too.
1:57 PM | 10:03:17
You’ve just gotten off the phone with your family, the first and last people you called when the news of the world’s end got out. When was the last time you saw them? Saw your friends? The time you have left isn’t enough to see them one last time.
Your fist trembles as you press it against your lips, eyes sore but stinging with tears kept at bay.
Despite this, the sun shines cheerily outside. It’s a beautiful day, everything washed in afternoon light. You figure this is better than spending your last day with the sky painted dreary gray.
Tsukishima comes up behind you, arms rubbing circles into your upper arms. “I just got off the phone with Akiteru.”
“How is he?”
“With our mom.” You know he wishes he could be there too, wants for it like nothing else. You can only dream to grant his eleventh-hour request.
“I’m sorry.”
“Me too.” And then, “Let’s get out of here.” You turn to face him, surprise clear as day. (You suppose that if anything can drive a homebody outside, it’s the end of the world.) “I figure you don’t wanna die in our shitty apartment.” His hold on your arms drops, instead taking his hands in yours. “Let’s go somewhere.”
“Where?”
“Anywhere.”
You scan the apartment one last time. (There really seems to be a lot of lasts today, but you figure it can’t be helped.) This was your home for months, despite the leaky faucet and chipped wallpaper.
Every corner oozes with memories, more than enough to make your heart feel as though it’s fit to burst. Tsukishima’s thumb caresses the back of your hand. That’s right. Your other home, the one you can’t afford to lose now, is right in front of you.
You get dressed.
7:25 PM | 4:35:18
The sun sets on the last day you’ll ever see. You think that you like sunsets a bit more than sunrises; less waking up early (or staying up late), a view that gives you more than enough bang for your buck. You watch the way orange seeps through the sky in reverse, dusk giving way to the dark of night, head resting on Tsukishima’s shoulder.
It’s quiet. You’ve parked somewhere secluded, hidden from prying eyes. With less than four hours before certain death, you get nostalgic for how far you’ve come since your time at Karasuno.
“Thank you,” you say, breaking the silence. “I’m glad you were such a smarmy bastard in high school.” He chuckles, the sound a pleasant rumble that singlehandedly warms you from the inside out.
“I’m glad you liked to think you could top my scores,” he replies.
(It had taken you two years to finally, finally beat his exam scores. Having no reason to talk to Tsukishima after that, you disappeared from each other’s lives. It had taken you a month to piece together the reason you felt so strangely empty without his signature smirk to rile you up.
“You like me,” you’d said, sitting backwards in the desk in front of him as he ate lunch. You didn’t phrase it as a question; why would you, when you knew the answer?
“You got what you wanted already, didn’t you? Why are you still here?” You were a thorn in Tsukishima’s side, as he’d repeated time and time again (both in private and to your face). Even still, he had to admit that the past month without you had been...boring. (He also had to endure Yamaguchi’s endless questions about you, drilling your absence into his head even further.)
“Do you want me to be nice, or do you want me to be honest?”
“Just spit it out. I don’t have all day.”
“Unfortunately,” you’d prefaced this with a long-suffering sigh, “I feel the same way. You might be an emotionally constipated asshole, but what I’m saying is…” Your fingers drummed on his desk, invading his space. “Let’s go on a date.”
Shaking himself from his stunned silence, he’d replied, “Sure.” In the moment, it had sounded nonchalant, but you had a feeling his hands were getting clammy.
Truth be told, you had it on good authority (Yamaguchi, who’d gotten sick and tired of bearing witness to almost three years of you two dancing around your feelings) that he felt the same you did. It was Yamaguchi’s words that gave you the confidence to confront Tsukishima at all.
“I’ll see you on Saturday, then. This better not be boring, Tsukishima,” you teased, snatching his chopsticks to steal a bit of his meal. “After all, you’re with me now. If you’re going to take me out, it better be in style.”
You had the audacity to throw a wink at him before walking back to your classroom. You get an eye roll in response, but take great pleasure in the way he had gone red to the tips of his ears, knowing that you’ve won.)
9:31 PM | 2:29:20
“I love you.”
“I know.” Silence. “I love you too.”
“I know.”
11:59 PM | 0:00:59
It’s bright, like a fallen star, all white-hot and angry. You think it’s beautiful in its own way, gawk at it with your mouth hanging open. “Here it is,” he whispers, squeezing your hand so tight it almost hurts. “The end.”
You cup his cheek, turn his head to look at you. You try to steel yourself. Inhale. Exhale. (Your breath comes out shaky, but neither of you acknowledge it.) “I guess this is goodbye.” You were supposed to sound strong, but your voice comes out small, weak, broken.
And for once, he is the first to cry.
“Not yet.” His voice cracks. “It’s not goodbye yet.” He wipes your tears (when did you start crying?) away, touch so fragile you think he’s sure you’d shatter. Maybe you will.
“It doesn’t have to be goodbye,” you offer. It’s hollow; neither of you have been under the delusion that this was anything but. “It can be a see you later.”
Tsukishima just shakes his head, wearing a broken smile of his own. And then he’s kissing you with such fervor that you swear you’ve never been kissed before, not like this. The way he sucks your bottom lip between his, pulls you flush against him, makes you dizzy. This is my goodbye, he says with more than words.
11:59 PM | 0:00:01
Your relationship has always required mastery of reading between the lines, peering through the hairline cracks in words and actions for their true meaning.
But now, both of you are straightforward as can be, stripped down to your bare selves. The meteor sets fire to the inhibitions and walls both of you created, and the flames lick at your skin as your tears—or his—dampen your cheeks.
If you’re going to take me out, do it in style, you’d said to him, once.
So he does.

settle down Home is where you have a warm bed and a warm meal. Naturally, it follows that as the Grandmaster of the Jedi Order, Yoda likes to cook for the many people in his care. Or: Five times Yoda cooks for somebody and one time someone cooks for him.
Yoda had been looking forward to this year’s Convergence. He had been sure that this time around, he would have one less Padawan and one more Knight to his lineage, and indeed, Obi-Wan had become a great Knight. Yoda just wished the price hadn’t been so high. He had lost Qui-Gon and Dooku both within weeks. He had kept watch over Dooku’s growing distance to the Order with wary eyes, but his former Padawan was an adult, an old man almost already, and Yoda hadn’t wanted to pretend he held any kind of sway over him. Now he wished he would have pressed for Dooku to stay a little longer. Perhaps meeting Obi-Wan and Anakin properly would have been enough to keep him with the Order. Yoda was sad to see his Padawan go, but he could not linger. He was sure Dooku was going to encourage growth and kindness on his homeworld.
Deep in thought, he walked to the kitchen and opened his fridge. He was supposed to spend the Convergence with the lineage of a Padawan who had died already a hundred years ago. Yoda had made it a habit to spend every year with a different branch of his family, but this year’s circumstances forced him to switch around his cycle a little. He was glad Feemor had reached out to Obi-Wan. The two would benefit from supporting one another and little Anakin Skywalker could learn a lot from Feemor’s Padawan. However, Yoda felt like he might add a little to the situation. See for himself how they were doing.
He took the roots, vegetables, and beetles he usually used for this meal out of the fridge. He had gone to the kitchens just this morning to get them all to be sure he had enough for everyone. He knew his stew was not the favorite amongst the human members of his lineages, but it was tradition. Perhaps Anakin would like it. When he had met the boy in the kitchens, he had been complaining about the lack of sunbeetles for the meal he was going to prepare.
Setting the items on the kitchen counter, Yoda took a knife out of a drawer and began to cut them all up.
X
“Hello, younglings,” Yoda greeted the excited children. They were all vibrating with joy, so much that the Senior Padawan in charge of them looked a little nervous at their bouncing.
“Hello, Master Yoda,” the children greeted him in turn. “What are we going to make today?”
Yoda hummed as he led the group to the kitchens. They were all of various ages, the youngest being a four-year-old Togruta child and the oldest an eleven-year-old Mon Calamari boy. He would have to make something simple with them so that all could be included in the process.
Scanning the group of eight, Yoda noted that they didn’t have a single avian child amongst them. Well, that made his decision easier.
“Firecracker cookies, eaten those before have you?”
The Senior Padawan paled considerably and looked at Yoda as if he had just cursed him to eternal darkness. The Grandmaster cackled. The teenager must have tasted the Mandalorian delicacy once then.
A human child shook their head. “No. Are they tasty?”
“Very,” Yoda confirmed. “Do not offer them to avian species. Eat them, they can not. Too spicy they are for their stomachs.”
Now the Padawan actually let out a desperate whimper and Yoda couldn’t help but laugh out loud. This was bound to be a fun lesson for everyone involved.

Yoda had expected many things from the war and was sad how many of his predictions had come true. The bloodshed was gruesome, painful, and feeling so many sentients die around him was worse than anything he had ever experienced before, except, perhaps, reaching out for his Padawan and finding darkness where there once was light. It weighted heavily on his soul and he could only hope that the many Padawans dispersed around the galaxy had as much support as they needed. They had argued so much about whether to let their children fight, but if this war were to escalate, become even longer and harsher, they had to make sure that the next generation could survive it, that there would be a next generation to raise the one after and so on. Yoda did not expect to survive the end of the war, but he was old already, much older than his species usually became. He had seen much of the world and could pass on peacefully, knowing he had given as much as he could.
And all of it for those who would come after.
“Like you, hm?” Yoda asked the baby resting peacefully in his arms now. They had found the girl amongst the wreckage of another battlefield, her parents dead.
She had not been crying, had likely stopped days ago when she noticed that nobody was coming. The poor baby had only still been hurting in the Force, a wound as large and terrific as an exploding star.
The little Twi’lek looked at him with her dark green eyes, entirely focused as she sucked at the bottle. It was good that they were due for another stop at Coruscant. He could bring her to the creche and there they could provide her with more than the scrapped together milk they had found in her bombed home.
“A great Jedi will you be,” Yoda told her and gently caressed her cheek. “Strong and wise and a little troublesome, yes.”
The baby didn’t reply, she was hardly half a year old, a little too young for the creche actually but nothing they hadn’t mastered before. Yoda could feel her warmth however, that she was content and felt safe.
And that was the most important part.

“So, what’s for dinner?” asked Tekel, one of the newer troopers. Their armor was still too white and pristine for their brothers’ liking, but Yoda was sure they’d earn a few scratches soon, perhaps even add more paint. “Ration bars or ration bars or ration bars but already too old to actually be served as food?”
“Ha, ha, very funny,” another brother replied and knocked against the young trooper’s shoulder as he made his way towards the campfire. “Never heard that one before.”
Yoda observed them fondly. They reminded him of the groups of Padawans hanging around the mess hall, joking and laughing and making fun of one another. The men certainly weren’t much older than the children Yoda had watched grow up. It would be more accurate actually to say they were younger given their accelerated aging. It was a blessing that they wouldn’t also grow old twice as fast unless they had a genetic mutation.
“Eat ration bars tonight, we will not,” Yoda decided.
His men turned to him with curious looks in their eyes. “We won’t? Did we get a shipment of something else?”
Their weapons and tactical training were impeccable, but you couldn’t forget that they had been raised in a sterile environment. Some of the finer elements of nature still eluded them.
“Pah! Mandalorian, your prime was, was he not? Part of our Order are you not? Smart hunters you are and full of life this planet is. Eat properly we will tonight.”
With that announcement, still keeping a serious face, Yoda walked into the woods on silent feet, his men quickly hurrying after him. They made too much noise at first, but quickly learned to walk as silently as he. It made Yoda wonder about their potential. Tekel especially was strong in the Force. He called it good instincts, but Yoda had not been born a fool. They didn’t have the equipment to test of Midichlorians, but good Jedi didn’t need those to know how strong their opposite was. He shouldn’t be a soldier, but a Jedi. None of his men should be forced to fight.
“I got one!” Tekel shouted after a while, victoriously holding up one of the local animals, a small round ball of fluff.
“Good, good,” Yoda praised. “Teach you how to cook it I will next.”
Tekel and their brothers exchanged a slightly worried look.
“Wait, what?”

Yoda loved the galaxy. It was bright and vibrant and there were so many things to see, explore and discover, but if he ever had to pick a space to spend the rest of his life in, it would most certainly be the temple. It was his home, where he had grown up and raised countless children, seen them grow into great Masters, surpassing him in the fraction of time it had taken him to learn. He was proud of all of them and was ashamed he could not lessen their burden more. They looked to him for answers about the war, deployments and battle strategy and hundred more things Yoda could not help them with.
This one thing, however, Yoda could do for them.
“Take another, you should,” Yoda said and held his plate out.
Before the council meeting, Yoda had made plenty of snacks for all the Council members currently stationed at the temple. They were due for another dusk-to-dawn meeting and Yoda knew very well how quick all of them were to neglect their own needs.
Mace politely raised his hands to decline the offer.
“Thank you, Master Yoda, but that one sandwich was enough for me.”
Yoda huffed and shook the plate slightly.
“Knew you as a youngling, I did. Never ate well then you did either, always causing your Master headaches. Have a biscuit, Mace.”
The other Master stared at the plate for a moment linger, than he admitted defeat and took a cookie from it. Yoda was pleased to notice that Mace, while giving his speech on troops currently stuck in the Outer Rim, took another cookie every few minutes.
Younglings shouldn’t protest so much, Yoda did know what was good for them

Yoda awoke to the smell of tea and breakfast. It was most unusual, as he was the one who made breakfast as he got up hours before his Padawan. The old Master got dressed and stepped out of his rooms and into the kitchen where, indeed, his Padawan was leaning over an old handwritten notebook, trying to decipher the instruction.
“Three tablespoons of cinnamon? That’s too much,” Dooku muttered under his breath. “Who puts three tablespoons of that stuff in pancakes?”
“Put this much cinnamon in my pancakes, I do, Padawan mine,” Yoda spoke up.
Dooku let out a quite undignified shriek and almost knocked over the chair standing behind him as he took a step back.
“Master!” Dooku complained. “Why are you up already?”
“Asking you this, I should be,” Yoda replied and sat down on his chair at their table.
If his Padawan had decided to make breakfast, Yoda was not going to stop him.
“Weeeeeell,” Dooku scratched the back of his head, his cheeks glowing red. The youngling was quite cute even now that his voice was beginning to crack. “It’s your life day, Master. I figured I should cook for you for once.”
Yoda smiled. “A meal, appreciate greatly I do.”
Dooku grinned back with youthful enthusiasm and went to retrieve his spoon from the batter. “So, three tablespoons of cinnamon?”
“Three tablespoons.”
In silence, Yoda watched his Padawan cook for him and imagined a future where he would get to see his young student cook for his entire lineage. They still had a while until then, but Yoda was sure it would be a sight to behold.
