Anson Mount and Ethan Peck at FAN EXPO Cleveland

Anson Mount and Ethan Peck are visiting another FAN EXPO touring convention, this time in Cleveland, Ohio - March 24 2023.

Their usual schedule includes a Star Trek: Strange New Worlds panel, autograph signing, plus photo sessions and selfies with fans. The official highlights clip from Day 1 (Friday) has a teeny bit of footage from the panel, and of Ethan waving at the camera when he was doing signings. :)

Okay but it's super interesting how

Din = Power = Ganondorf

Naryu = Wisdom = Zelda

Farore = Courage = Link.

Because Din, in the hylian creation myth, created the physical world. Naryu then created the laws - gravity, time, etc. And Farore finally created life - plants and people.

Din created the body, naryu the mind, Farore the soul.

Ganon is physical power, he is big and intimidating and he breaks things. He is cunning and determined, but that's not what he focuses on. He is might makes right.

Zelda is wisdom and cleverness. She is stall tactics and information and team work. She is a powerful mage with a spine of steel, but that's not how she'll win. She is the pen being mightier than the sword.

Link is courage and persistence. He is the wild card sneaking behind enemy ranks, always moving, plunging into terrifying situations head first. He's a phenomenal fighter with a keen wit, but that's not what will get him through his challenges. He is bravery not being the absence of fear but the triumph over it.

They sit in perfect parallels to each other.

And ganon is reborn through his body - his resurrection is immortality. No matter how low he is cast, as long as he has a body he can claw his way back. He can cling to his power, build it ever higher.

Zelda is reborn through the magic of her bloodline. It's the accumulated knowledge handed down for generations, the unique power she must master, the skills she must develop to survive and get her kingdom out the other side intact. Even her name, the knowledge of herself, is handed down from all the way from the very first. Her ancestors knowledge of her future presence, her stability, is what gives her the edge.

Link is reborn in spirit. He is not bound by flesh or blood. Just like his wanderlust soul he can reappear in any time or place. His variation, his unpredictability, is exactly how he fights. It's what makes him so hard to pin down.

Ganons need to build strength means he can't chase after link. Links impulsiveness means zelda can outwit him. Zeldas stationary predictability means she's an easy target for ganon.

But the other direction?

Fire melts ice, ice redirects lightning, lightning burns fire.

And that's the very essence of the triforce.

the way these two had no idea what they were doing (clem raising aj. violet leading the school) yet now they support each other and as a team are trying to help each other figure it out together. theyre making it up as they go but they at least know they have each other to rely on for whatever happens next

clem never had all the answers but she was trying her best to not let that show. violet becomes someone clem knows she can rely on no matter what (standing up for her and aj and their place at the school, "when i heard you call for help i didnt even think"), and clem becomes someone violet can rely on in turn (using her experience to help violet lead and protect the school and helping her take care of all these kids). theyre each others ROCKS!!!!!!! THEYRE A TEAM!!!!!!!!!!

honestly one of the reasons letting vi get taken hurts so much is that no matter what she WAS the leader of ericson!! vi (the wallflower that she was) steps up as soon as aj is in trouble to protect him And clem, then continues to fall into that leadership position because its not like anyone else is trying to keep everyone together. and even though she has no idea what shes doing or going to do about the army coming to take them all away, shes still trying her best, and clem helps her figure it out as they begin to lead together as a TEAM!! neither of them would be where they are without the influence of the other (vi stepping up as leader, clem being allowed back in). and you can just..... let her be taken in spite of all that.......... no wonder she was so heartbroken in that cell how could she not be

but if you save her it just solidifies their building relationship. that theyll always have the others back no matter what. and vi solidifies this even further by shooting minnie to save clem. all the little reassuring smiles they give each other.. making sure the other is holding up ok in moments of stress... im gonna go cry now

I just got my blood taken and I got woozy and almost passed out. Anyways it got me thinking and here's how I think the konoha twelve would react to getting their blood taken.

Naruto: Pretends that he's cool with it but the moment he see's the blood go through the tube into the needle he gets super dizzy and passes out.

Sakura: Takes it like a boss, the nurse accidentally misses her veins multiple times and takes more blood than necessary but Sakura thanks her and walks out of the room perfectly fine.

Sasuke: Do you think he would let people STEAL his blood? Are you serious? Sakura has to collect his blood when hes asleep cause last time he punched the nurse in the face and knocked her out.

Hinata: Gets super dizzy but is too scared to admit it so she leaves the nurses office then goes to the bathroom and throws up.

Shino: Makes eye-contact with the nurse the entire time she's taking the blood and makes the situation really awkward because he's a little angry she's taking it from him. (Thats his blood, not yours back off)

Kiba: Throws up the SECOND the nurse takes the needle out.

Ino: It's the nurses first time taking a patients blood so Ino comforts her through her panic and does it herself to show her how. (They become instant friends and go get coffee after her shift is done.)

Choji: Gets really dizzy and refuses to look at the needle or the blood.

Shikamaru: He just sits there and watches the blood leave. Not really angry or sad just kinda, watching it flow out. He leaves almost immediately after its done and forgets to drink any water the rest of the day and wakes up the next day very weak.

Lee: Passes out the MOMENT he sees the needle.

Tenten: Takes it like a champ and makes small talk with the nurse while it's happening, gets a little dizzy but is otherwise fine.

Neji: Says everything is fine but refuses to look at the needle for reasons that he will not explain.

once again, i think it is so very fucking strange to include a route/path in an INTERACTIVE book and the maximum exploration of it is '????? welp i don't know! ???' in a scooby doo voice.

there is no reason why a resistant detective not be allowed options as to WHY they're resistant to start a relationship with N or F (and I say this as a huge F-fan who agrees when the narrative is like 'why am I doing this?' yes why are you resisting the hot adorable one??). If this journey is given, then I - as the player - should be allowed to explore it as fully as the game/writer's skills allow.

And I know this isn't as far the game/writer's skills allow, because we are granted variations on how to treat a past with Bobby and a future with Douglas, we can decide on our relationship with the Captain and the Mayor - side characters to varying degrees - but we CAN'T choose why the detective might be hesitant to start something as important as a ROMANTIC RELATIONSHIP with MAIN CHARACTERS???

Alright, you win. The propaganda worked, I'm building a rupture team now. Gonna have to do like 50 runs through EXP Luxcavation to get all the IDs up to speed.

I've got Lantern Donqui, 7 Faust, 7 Heathcliff, Rabbit Meursault, and Red Sheet Sinclair. No W Yi Sang, though...

Any recommendations for alternatives? Deyvat Rodion, Fang Hong Lu, 7 Ryoshu?

Fang Hong Lu and Devyat Rodion are definitely really good for rupture, especially MD, with their high coin counts. I'm pretty sure Devyat Rodion doesn't consume rupture count when she reaches her conditionals, where as Fanghunt Hong Lu does, so she's higher priority.

7 Ryoshu is a cope unit for Rupture. I'd know, I used her for a good while. Great clashing and nice damage, but don't resign yourself to a dead slot in terms of rupture application.

You could also try 7Outis. I've used her only in Railway, which isn't the best place for Rupture, and I don't remember how well I did. She has good count application, save for her s3 (which doesn't factor rupture damage into the bonus damage, which means it sucks), plus the passive she gets from Ebony Queen (I think that's the name of the apple thing) is really useful. I'd still rather use. The other two.

new rgg fans will never know what they missed back in ye olden days of the fandom (like, 2019), doubly so now that scott strichart's deleted his twitter and jon riesenbach's privated. twitter was so fucking fun and then whatever-the-hell at sega of america happened and caused a fucking snowball effect and now we have shitass localization and resulting discourse that makes every release nigh unbearable, misinformation, confusion, people complaining about "bad writing/mischaracterization" not realizing it's because of the shitass english loc, i'm sitting here like jesus christ these loc bitches massacred saejima's character voice, people will never see him as he was intended, as original yakuza 5 localization Correctly painted him, and now they're coming for kiryu. god help us. we used to be a proper fandom. before everyone was subjected to the remastered localizations and shaky eng characterization. no one had even played yakuza 3-5, people still called morning glory "sunshine" orphanage, kiryu was our only protagonist and people still called him "boring", it was beautiful...

anyway gaiden uses affective instead of effective because the current localization team is full of careless dumbasses who don't give a fuck about ensuring they're using correct english grammar and this is not an isolated incident
