considering vivienne, dorian, and solas' dynamic in a pro-templar inquisition with an inquisitor who is extremely anti-mage is fascinating to me. especially since dorian is the only one of the three who has the option to leave– solas must remain to regain his orb and vivienne cannot risk losing any more political/social standing than she already has for her own safety and the safety of the remaining loyalist mages. solas is invaluable with his knowledge on the fade and otherwise makes himself small and unnoticeable, but vivienne doesn't have the ability to do that– and more than that, she has built herself up her entire life to do the exact OPPOSITE of that.

it's a very interesting mix of solas keeping to the sidelines to hopefully avoid conflict until he can get what he needs to further his own goals, dorian's refusal to back down in the face of anyone and his pride potentially putting him at risk to the point of being removed from the inquisition altogether, and vivienne needing to remain in the good graces of the inquisitor while simultaneously using her skills in negotiation and manipulation to keep the inquisitor from turning their templars onto the few mages who remain. spinning them in my brain

Beginning of how they met, YAYAY!🙂

Sorry about the quality again, I don't like how it sometimes cuts the drawings but I'll settle💔. I've never actually drawn human Alastor till now, but I do like how he turned out so o(≧▽≦)o!

In not gonna do the math about their ages, and I don't think it'd line up w/Canon, but ik Angel died around the 40s near his 20-30s so he'd had lived two decades prior. I'm pretty sure Alastor died around the 20s, not 30s, but that doesn't matter - the point is, Angel would've been a kid before Alastor yknow, died. (Don't take my word for it, I'm probably wrong, but in this lil comic, that's how it is😔) Angel's around 8yrs old and Alastor is somewhere in his late 20s or early 30s (teehee Alastor w dimples🙂!)

Angel playing around with a dead deers head WILL be explained, trust!🙏 I got the idea of domino's bc I think it's a nice game to bond over, also I just like the game and I remember my Dad teaching me how it works so FATHER AND SON MOMENT RISE!💥💥 Anyways, Angel's childhood won't align w Canon (sorry, so ooc, but I like it☹️).

So context: I have Ridiculously severe misophonia. If I could painlessly deafen myself I would, "all noise is evil" levels of noise sensitivity. It's too the point I can't tolerate being around other people because the sound of breathing swallowing lip smacking etc drive me up the wall and turn me into the joker in .1 seconds.

and it's not like, it's not a "I don't like this" type of misophonia, it's a "these sounds are physically extremely painful as is any volume above the absolute lowest amount possible (I have returned multiple pairs of earbuds for having their minimum setting still be painfully loud)

Ok, that's just my life. those are the cards I've been dealt and I've been making it work.

My shrink recommended concert earbuds. They're like normal wireless earbuds but instead of being electric, they have a small tube and a hole in them that effectively changes the shape of your ear canel when you're wearing them. So they filter noise without reducing volume or quality too badly.

It is fucking Night and day. Volume is still a problem but all the little sounds that were driving me insane and making me be constantly overstimulated are just gone. I can talk to people without immediately wanting to end the conversation. and be in the same room as my fishtank without the filter sounds chasing me off.

While it is mainly just for fun & not my main design for Soul, i think Soul's form would change throughout Cacophony a fair amount. There's still some things it cant change but depending on its view on himself, Heart & Mind, or Whole would alter how his apperance looks. Not necessarily a bad thing either, just a form on how he feels or views himself. Kinda like when you make a persona i guess? He just swaps a lot between them.

Also smaller thing being that it's "tail" can change as well! More obvious being the relation to the instrumental album cover but also it can changed into other things as well. An Umbrella for Spring and a Storm, a gavel for parts of Mucka Blucka, TSE & The Bidding, or it being one of those bid cards youd hold up to bid your amount [also during The Bidding]. Can also change to the trident during TSE & The Bidding too, the red guitar in Two Wuv as well. Just generally whatever he want/feels like!

why do you think the writers never bothered to develop the relationship between johnny and robby? and if they were never going to develop it, they could have at least kept robby and daniel's dynamic, but they dropped it like it was nothing

I think it’s for the same reason a lot of the big moments in this show are “resolved” off screen—they don’t know how to do it, and they don’t care enough to try. These guys constantly write themselves into corners and then can’t figure out how to write themselves out if it, so they pretend like the walls were just never there to begin with. It’s bad, lazy writing and I don’t say that lightly.

Basically since the very first iteration of Pavo and Esti there has been the like. sub plot that demons are not humanoid, a subset of them just use magic to look humanish. Most of the main demons in the story included.

And it never really came up all that often outside of the first Very early drafts and so I went like three blissful years without having to figure out what demons actually look like. Mostly bc I didn't want to. bc I couldn't figure out how to make them look. like. Right™

The whole bird theming really through a wrench in things because most of the ways to get something to read as both Bird and Demon result in pterodactyls, feathered dragons, or something extremely dorky looking. I do not think I escaped any of those with this design. I think it is somehow all of them. but by being all of them it is smack dab in the middle of them and thus none of them. It's probably not going to remain the base design for the demons and it's probably never going to come up in the actual story but I'm done looking at it so you have to look at it.
