1. Why did you choose this URL?

For a couple of very simple reasons: #1 - it had to do something with writing. #2 - it had to do something with Jin. #3 - if it wasn’t punny somehow, then what’s even the point? 😂

@imaji-writes → this one is for any helpful writing advice I come across. As much as I love writing, I’m not an expert and always like to work towards improving, so keeping this blog around helps me alot! 

Aside for those two, I have a third blog I keep around for any funny/aesthetic posts I come across that aren’t BTS related. I’m part of a lot of fandoms, so I tend to fangirl on this blog a lot 🤭

February 2018! Although I didn’t start writing and officially posting until July-August.

I don’t have a specific queue tag for regular reblogs, but for my stories I’ll keep tags like ‘[insert story title] queued reblog’. This just helps to keep things organized and also allows me to check that I’ve reblogged my story a couple of times, because there’s moments where I can just forget 😅

5. Why did you start your blog?

I started my blog after being in the BTS fandom for a while and staying as a silent reader between 2016-2018. But in that time, I was so surprised with the different types of fanfics I came across and how good all of them were. This led me into thinking that it would be so much fun to create some of my own stories and share them as well. 

Lo and behold! I created justimajin in February of 2018. Although I created my blog at that time, I was going through some struggles (mainly medical issues) and was very close to deleting the blog in July-August. But I thought I would really regret not posting a single story so I tried my best and posted at least one of them (long story short, looks like I ended up staying after that 🤗)

6. Why did you choose your icon?

Because I wholeheartedly believe in purple hair Jin supremacy. 

7. Why did you choose your header?

The guys are laughing and smiling in it and it’s just so precious☺️ 

8. What’s your post with the most notes?

Probably my masterlist which is at roughly 1.4k. As for my stories now....I discovered the first part of A Lone Wolf’s Howl is at 1.2k notes?! 😳😳😳 Like how?!?

I have a couple, but I not too sure of the exact number since they’re hidden and finding them is kind of tough.

Oh damn 😳 I don’t really make a thing to square-up with somebody but if an argument were to break out, it would be me telling them they’re amazing and them refusing to acknowledge the truth.

MORE UPDATES ON THE MX SIMS RPF SAGA. so im still having issues with jooheon and changkyun (but they aren't as bad as the issues im having in my nct house, where the only current sims literally can't talk without constantly getting into arguments so i guess that's something). like, they have a neutral relationship right now, and i've managed to get them to have some positive interactions. but they also make each other mad often and it feels like everytime i make some progress one of them does something the other takes offense with and it's a mess 😭 but i decided to introduce more sims into the house to see if i could get any different results. so i got everything ready for that. i got us a bigger space and i've built the entire house myself, and it looks clunky because i'm new to this, but i'm still proud of my progress. i have a main bedroom for everyone and then a private bedroom for changkyun so that he won't have to deal with everyone else. i also made a room for music and other skills they may be interested in practicing and made a little garden area with a pool and shit. so i have a lot of stuff for them to mess around with. filling the enclosure with enrichment.

i was going to introduce kihyun and shownu into the mix to see what would happen and then i just. i got an impulse. I MADE ALL OF THEM. THE WHOLE GANG IS HERE. which introduces some problems because i honestly don't think the house is equipped for that, i made it with three or four people in mind because i thought that's all i was gonna end up with for now but NOPE nvjfnjvn like i was going to ease myself into it but i decided to just go for it and it's going to be a disaster but maybe that'll make it more fun. since changkyun has the loner trait i wonder how he's gonna deal with all these people vnjfnvjfnn. i hope i can keep things ballanced. and i also gave hyungwon the loner trait so that's going to be a mess, i wonder if him and changkyun will get along?

but here is the issue. i gave hyungwon the evil trait. i shouldn't have, but i did because i thought it would be funny. so i'm expecting some REALLY chaotic interactions. because i gave him the loner trait i realized i'm just going to have the same issue i was having with changkyun of him feeling uncomfortable with everyone else around if he doesn't get some private time, so him and changkyun are going to have to share a room... it's not perfect, but if i'm strategic about it i can get it to work probably.

anyway, i'm still going to try to get jooheon and changkyun to get along just because they were the first ones i made, but if i can't figure it out or i can't get them to get along naturally, i might just make them enemies... i'm also going to introduce some flirting here and there, not between them necessarily, but just in general. i want to see if i can get some gay shit to happen. i don't have any objectives for their relationships so far, so i'll just see who gets along with who. i kinda want to push for showho or wonhyuk though, and maybe hyungki enemies.... i was also thinking abt going for hyungheon or wonheon but i'll see. this game is so unfairly addictive vnfnvjfvnjfv like i'm so invested

hello!! ive seen a lot about the recent discourse on sumeru and all it's characters, most especially kusanali nowadays, and felt the need to clear some things up for my own peace of mind. though i should put a disclaimer that i'm in no way from any of the countries or cultures sumeru was originaly intended to represent, though i am a POC who knows what colorism, orientalism, and blatant lack of representation feels like. if anyone from the real cultures finds something wrong in whatever i say, please point it out and educate me so i can adjust! I might not be in a place to speak and have a very little platform, but I promise you, a few minutes of research and a little empathy can go a very long way.

A common excuse I see people making for aspects of Kusanali's design (her skin color, her size, etc.) is that she's allegedly based off of Kusanali Jataka, from a Buddhist collection of poems as a fairy living in a clump of grass. This much is true, she very much is named after that, and the nature-esque inspiration matches up. However, that changes when many fans on tiktok, twitter, etc. have been claiming the original poem to mention that Kusanali Jataka had "skin as pale as the light of the moon."

This specific description pertains to an entirely different diety, one going all the way to Hinduism backgrounds. She who that quote was originally used for is known as Sarswati, the Hindu goddess of knowledge, wisdom, art, speech, music, aesthetics, and learning. For the record, here is what common portrayals of her look like, as well as the description of her appearance:

See? Sound familiar? To compare, here is what a portrayal of Kusanali Jataka looks like:

These two very separate dieties were definitely mixed up, most likely in a way to simply excuse how utterly far away the dendro archon looks from the real life people her country is meant to represent. Previously we've had Zhongli and Ei, a dragon accurate to real Chinese myths, and a samurai with cultural ties even to her name, her titles, and other various inspirations such as from the Vision Hunt Decree. Yunjin proves that Hoyoverse is capable of making accurate and in depth research of real life cultural aspects. Kusanali, however, has no obvious cultural background to her design except her name and perhaps the quote of "Let great and small." Other than that? You could've told me that she's just another kid from Mondstadt and I'd believe you entirely.

It's one thing to like a characters design, but another thing to entirely erase the problems there are with representation, among other things. The problem in her is not that she has a child model, it's that she, as Sumeru's archon, is meant to represent their whole country, but at the same time she has no indications of references to SWANA or ME culture what so ever.

To add onto that, the argument of "but im from this race and im pale" is not valid at all, because just because you or your family or friends are not, doesn't mean the rest of your people don't either. In my country, we were taught as kids to bathe with some kind of papaya whitening soap, not to stay in the sun too long or we'll get tanned, that we need go "stay indoors more to get whiter," and I'm sure this isn't only a problem in mine. The few times that the people of these underrepresented cultures get a chance at the spotlight, the very least Hoyoverse can do when they'll make truckloads of money from them either way is to do it right. They deserve that much.

Hoyoverse is a multi million dollar company that is perfectly capable of making designs that aren't stereotypical and all lightskin if not paper white. They honestly dug their own grave by making the exact mistake many have made before when it comes to representation specifically in these regions, such as Aladdin, where they threw many different and diverse cultures together and thought it would end up nicely without either five different things happening at once, or an entirely whitewashed version of everything. They should not be able to cherrypick and make money out of whatever bits of these cultures they want only to leave out the outward appearances of the people that they belong to. That is colorism.

I am making this post to at least try to raise awareness on the misinformation going around about Kusanali, as well as shed light on how condescending all the pale and at most light brown characters feel as a POC. That said, however, I can't speak for the people from South Asia/North Africa/Middle East on this issue, and therefore if you have time I'm *begging* you to listen to what they have to say. If you're from those cultures and don't have any problems with Sumeru, thats okay! But it doesn't mean that everyone else doesn't either. If you're white or from a different culture and are therefore unaffected by all of this? If you want to ignore, don't say a word. Don't shut the voices of the POC that should be in the spotlight in the first place. But if you want to help? Do your research. Uplift the voices of those who are affected. Listen to what they have to say. Orientalism and colorism aren't easy topics to be brushed off easily, and they have every right to be reacting in opposition to what Hoyoverse currently has to offer.

Do you think before the whole kira thing that light would be a religious person. not overly so but enough to pray often on his own. I don't know if you answered it before but I was thinking

you know i've gone back and forth on this, i know that there is a lot of christianity symbolism in the anime specifically, and ohba said the apple was an aesthetic, but typically authors like ohba in japan tend to keep more up their sleeve than we are led to believe if that makes sense.

i believe light has a mixed view, i think that ryuk solidified for light that there is a god, and that essentially most of his views were actually wrong,, but he does not waver on his morals. there probably some shintoism beliefs also based on the way light perceives himself in godhood.

the christian population of japan:

"In 2019, the number of religious adherents affiliated with Christianity in Japan amounted to approximately 1.91 million people. This marked a decrease compared to around 2.77 million Christians in 2010. Feb 16, 2022"

so there is a chunk of the population that falls into christianity, and i believe that light did believe that there was potentially a singular god, but he is also perceptive and scholarly, so i think he would take from other religions and basically find his own path,, but from there, ryuk really changes things for light, and since there are multiple gods, this also alters what he thinks religiously speaking.

we don't see a lot of the topic in the yagami family like at all, how they feel about it, how they feel about death other than that it is a reality given that light's dad is an officer and is thus in danger depending on the case.

with light we get more symbolism, so i feel he is more the carrier of that weight, it's like a topic that is aesthetically used for him more than anyone else. there is an argument over the scene with light and L with the washing and drying of light's feet specifically and what that means, so i'll leave that to interpretation, but i think there was something very intentional.

How to Get (and Keep) Your Life Together 101

Here’s a quick masterlist of all the tips, hacks and advice that stuck with me from reading so many articles, videos and research. Feel free to ask me any questions, or add tips of your own. 💜

Hydration: Make sure every day you stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water, green tea, black tea. You see this everywhere but it’s true. Just drinking water wil do wonders for your skin and your overall body health.

Nutrition: Maintain a healthy diet by letting go of toxic “restrictive” diet culture and realizing that food is sacred fuel for your sacred body, so offer your body the best! Eat lots of vegetables, fruits, nuts and seeds; lots of wholefoods. Incorporate smoothies into your mornings for extra dose of vitamins. Practice mindful, conscious eating, be there in the moment when you are eating, taste the food, enjoy the experience of it. Meditate over your relationship with food and try to work through any unhealthy beliefs.

Exercise: Pick one or multiple forms of exercise that suits your schedule, lifestyle and personality; whether it’s jogging twice a week, going to the gym daily or even just a fresh walk every evening. Pick what is suitable for YOU and keep it part of your life. DYI your own gym routine or hire a trainer; train at home or in the gym; whatever works best for you.

Growth Mindset: Maintain a positive mindset that is always open and curious to learning new things, trying new skills and ever willing to improve itself. Redirect your attention from drama, gossip and toxic comparison beliefs to healthy ones; unfollow accounts online or delete all your social media if that’s what you need. Recreate yourself if that’s what you want. Focus on YOUR growth! Make a habit of reading new books, watching TedTalks, documentaries, etc. Look at educating yourself as a way to invest in yourself, a way to honor yourself. Maintain curiosity in your heart for the ways of the universe. Stay humble and graceful in the face of adversity, but never give up on your dreams, failed attempts are only lessons for improvement and the only true failure is giving up. As long as you keep going you’re still winning. Bonus tip: comparison is self harm, and a denial of your own power; so remember that nobody can be you and that’s a good thing. You can only be you, so make it count and honor yourself!

Relationships: Don’t cling to relationships and don’t be afraid to lose people. Be your authentic self at all times, and do not be afraid to intimidate people or be too much! Those that matter don’t mind, and those that mind don’t matter. Know that the friends/partners that are meant for you, will stay or will find their way back to you. Be mindful of the dynamic in a relationship, and be self-loving enough to walk away from what is toxic, unhealthy, restrictive, disrespectful, etc. Forgive those that wronged you, but tolerate no mistreatment; you can forgive them from afar, but make sure they’re no longer a part of your life.

Focus & Goals: Keep a journal and as frequently as you can, write down bullet lists of to do lists, goals, dreams, daily reflections, aspects of yourself to improve upon, positive affirmations, wishlist etc. - in other words, brainstorm all the things whirling around in your head regarding your own life. Remember all those things you’ve wanted to do? Bucketlists, reminders, curiosities, etc? Keeping a journal, staying focused on your goals, checking progress and practicing positive affirmations will transform your life.

Fashion: Elevate your wardrobe to a whole other level by sitting down and figuring out what your style actually is. Play around in your journal by creating a collage of your favorite colors, textures, patterns, styles, outfit combos and accessories. Mix and match, figure out what your aesthetic is. Refine, polish, remove what doesn’t click. (You can find a bunch of videos on YT for organizing clothes and being effortlessly fashionable/put together.) When you reorganize your wardrobe according to the above, you can easily mix and match anything because your wardrobe makes sense and it’s already planned out. Bonus tip: do your laundry the same day every week (ie. Saturday) and do a wardrobe prep on Sundays for the upcoming week; so that at any moment you can be ready in five minutes looking perfectly polished, and avoid the whole ordeal of being stressed/rushed and not knowing what to wear.

Skincare and haircare: Golden advice - invest in natural products/oils/ingredients instead of investing in brands. Why? Because otherwise you’re paying for a concept instead of actual health benefits for your body. Try natural soaps, oils (shea butter, coconut oil, argan, avocado, jojoba, rosehip, etc), and water extracts (rosewater, hazelwater) for toner. Coconut oil and argan oil is particularly famed for hairgrowth and shine. Castor oil as well helps hairgrowth, including for brows or lashes. Rosehip and shea heal discolorations, scars and marks. Do your research and try out what fits you, your skin will thank you later. I’ve been using natural products & oils for 9+ years and people always compliment how clear, smooth & glowy my skin is. Bonus tip: if you don’t use sunscreen already, try to incorporate it into your routine; just make sure it has gentle, non-harmful ingredients (for both yourself and the environment.

Etiquette, manners, poise, posture: Watch videos, read books or listen to audiobooks about confidence, proper etiquette, leadership skills, how to make people listen when you speak, etc. There are things which are so intuitive, obvious and logical, and yet simply becoming aware of them and having the science of it explained will transform your perspective (and the way you carry yourself).

Finances: Perform a monthly financial review to make sure you know where you are, what your budget is. Make a plan for backup funds, or savings for travels, or new tattoos, or a house, or whatever you want. It doesn’t have to be complicated, you can keep things simple by listing your expenses in five categories (Necessities, groceries, luxury, savings, free/remaining funds). Keep track of your expenses or habits, there are even apps that show statistics or analysis for easy use. The point here is to stay on top of your own finances: know how much are the monthly necessities (rent/mortgage/etc), know what has been payed and keeping receipts, knowing when things need to be paid, etc.

Integrity: This means knowing yourself, having standards, knowing what your boundaries are, what you are willing and not willing to do. When you know yourself and know your worth, you won’t ever tolerate or accept anything less. Know what your principles, values, beliefs are and hold them firmly because it is what you stand for. At the same time, it is important to keep an open mind to growth and improvement, but not so much that any persuasive argument will change your mind. Hold your own, but be gracious to other perspectives. And through it all remember - only you know what’s right for you, what’s best for you. Literally nobody else but you can know what’s in your best interest!

Efficiency & Improvement: This ties in with growth mindset but in a more practical way; make sure that you’re always leaving open space for improvement in your life, don’t ever just settle down/get stuck/let yourself sink into complacency. Know that you can always change anything! Make a habit of frequently reviewing aspects of your life (ex. via journaling) to see whether there’s anything you can make more easy, more efficient. Instead of spending hours grocery shopping, check out shops online where your favorite products can be home delivered in a snap. Instead of driving to a vet for your pet, have a call in. Setting up recurring payments for finances also counts. Literally any process or activity whereby you can automatize a service, delivery, payment, etc. will help you in the long run, so you can focus more on enjoying life, instead of wasting time with Trivial Adult Things.

Let’s talk about Salmonid intelligence!

There seems to be a wide misconception that Salmonids aren’t intelligent, or at the very least, aren’t as smart as Octolings or Inklings. This idea couldn’t be farther from the truth! And because I’m the Resident Salmonid Fanatic™ it’s my job to talk about this. 

In hopes to make people consider and think of Salmonids in a better light, and NOT as pets, I’m going to do my best to pull evidence from in-game, as well as interviews, that imply or outright confirm that Salmonids are sapient, much like our beloved Octolings and Inklings. 

To start, I’d like to touch on their interactions with other creatures, namely their trade deal with the Octarians. It’s hard to argue for Salmonids not being intelligent when you consider the confirmed fact that they actively trade with other creatures to benefit the both of them.

They exchange their useful Power Eggs (and perhaps vegetables and fruits) to the Octarians for mechanical blueprints, weapons, and machine parts (and potentially tentacle cuts for food). We can wager this trade deal has been going on for a long time, as the Salmonids are fitted to the gills with machinery, and you can make the argument that the Octomaw was inspired by Maws!

While the Salmonids could easily take these blueprints and make the machines exactly as the Octarians planned them, these fish take it one step beyond and put their own twist on things! With their intellect, they’ve customized traditional weapons to suit them better, and the examples can be seen in just about every boss you encounter.

Additionally, they are INSANELY resourceful, able to use any scrap of metal or machinery to make their contraptions, and make them decently reliable. Not to mention the fact that Scrappers are able to repair their cars! On the fly! All while under fire! That takes dedication AND smarts!!

Not to mention the fact that Smallfry, who could very well be babies (and I will argue that they are, as there is no benefit to stunting the growth of ANY creature), are able to pilot Flyfish. They were raised just right in the best environment, and now they’re super smart!

Also, Salmonids are crazy creative, with how they’ve incorporated their cookware into their weaponry. They take their aesthetic to the next level, man.

Next, lest talk about their homes!

It’s vastly clear that they have their own society. At the very least, we can take a glimpse of it with their houses. The Lost Outpost (known as the Colony at Sea in Japan) is a great example of this!

While these houses look like they were cobbled together with recycled parts, which falls in line with Salmonid resourcefulness, they are clearly stable living spaces that were built by he Salmonids themselves with ocean living and fishing in mind. 

Additionally, towards the back of the stage, we can see another house with a city on the horizon. While this is purely speculation, I don’t think it’s too much of a stretch to believe that this city is Salmonid-owned. The areas you go to are claimed to be restricted ocean zones, and given that you’re so far out that you need a house-sized radio dish just to communicate, it’s hard to believe that the city would be owned by anyone else. 

I think these city-based homes would be owned by Salmonids that work with machinery, such as repairmen and mechanics. This could also include artisans! Farmers would obviously live in more rural areas, where they can plant and grow their crops. 

We can also glean a similar idea from the Spawning Grounds (called the Salmonid Dam in many other languages): 

I will argue until the day I die that the dam found in the Spawning Grounds, as well as the adjacent city, belongs to the Salmonids, as evidence by its proximity to the stage, the green water pouring from the dam, and the very clear Salmonid mark on it.

Whether this city was built by them, or it’s one they took ahold of and built upon during one of their past migrations is yet to be determined, seeing my speculations are even true. Either way, it’s clear that the Salmonids are capable of building structures and homes with ease!

If we talk about their homes, even if this is much more on the speculative end, we’ve also GOT to talk about the factory we can see at Marooner’s Bay:

Again, given the proximity to Salmonid territory, as well as the various Salmonid-themed items around the stage, we can speculate that these factories are Salmonid owned, and perhaps where they work on many of their machines and devices.

Things such as Scrapper Cars, Steel Eels, Flyfish jets, Grillers, and Motherships could be constructed here, or this place could be used for processing water or chemicals! It’s a rather vague factory, so again, this is all theoretical. I haven’t a clue what they do here. 

Next let’s talk about their art. The existence of art alone should be enough of an indicator that they have minds to think and feel with! Especially when their designs are as intricate as these:

The most of these can be seen around the Lost Outpost and Spawning Grounds, but every single stage has a few of these markings floating around. I don’t currently have many in-stage caps on hand, but if you take the time to look around, you’ll find a few on the ground and walls!

While a lot of these are very clearly graffiti markings, the intricate designs may have some meaning. While we haven’t a clue what exactly they mean, or what they represent, I think they’re extremely fascinating, and give us a peek into what culture Salmonids have. 

They’re likely made with stencils, but all the same, they were designed carefully, and must hold SOME significance.

I have a theory that these designs are primarily to mark specific territories. Perhaps certain marks mean different schools and families! Or some of them could be warnings, such as to indicate Grizz activity (such as with the bear icon, which appears in a few stages). 

I believe in part, these are a form of expression, ESPECIALLY if they indicate schools. There are so many unique fish-shaped designs, it’d be cool to see how these correlate to individual groups!

They could also be a visual indicator for Inklings and Cephalopods that, yes, this is Salmonid territory, so you’d best stay away! Because while it’d be easy for a Salmonid to tell what area belongs to who by smell alone, Inklings certainly don’t have that luxury!

At any rate, I’d love to see what personal art looks like for Salmonids. What kind of crafts do they make? What sort of things do they love to paint? We don’t really know, and we can only speculate...

One thing we know for certain is that Salmonids appreciate music. It even seems as though they’re inspired by it, given the descriptions that the Salmon Run songs have.

I feel like this is worth stating, even if their existence is fairly common knowledge: ω-3. A band. That plays complex instruments. And does all their own mixing. 

Pretty freakin’ smart, I must say!

Additionally, each of the members have VASTLY different styles. The Cellist is stern and stubborn, and won’t accept anything but the best, be it in passion or in radical works. The timpanist is soulful, passionate, and is straight to the point. The DJ is reckless and disrespectful, yet puts forth his best effort.

All three of them are so unalike to one another in style and personality. They may not even get along that well, but at the end of the day, they value working together SO MUCH that they make amazing, unique, and great-sounding songs that stir and inspire their people. 

It’d be amazing to see what other types of music that Salmonids like, because this can’t be the only kind. However the style of  ω-3 certainly goes hand-in-hand with the chaotic, resourceful, and determined nature of the Salmonids. 

We should also touch up on the fact that Salmonids are stated to have tradition. Aside from their 70-year migration, they’re also stated to pass cookware from generation to generation in Sunken Scroll #19.

"Salmonids are known to keep their weapons in tip-top shape. The frying pans they wield have often been passed down from generation to generation. You can see the unwavering pride of these fierce warriors in their (somewhat crazed) eyes."

I like to think that they also pass things like recipes and other tools down to their offspring and kin. Family and schools on the whole appear to be very important to them, which ties directly into their drive to work together as a unit, rather than separately as a makeshift team.

I LOVE this image, and there are so many tiny details that you can make out in this. Such as these two:

THEY ARE PLAYING CARDS, and this ain’t no dogs playing poker bit, either! It looks like the other one is losing really bad... Or going into a food coma. One way or another, the other Salmonid is trying to check up on them, haha. Or maybe they’re trying to sneak a peek at the other’s cards? Who knows! That sly grin tells a story.

These are all pretty human-like characteristics, which makes me think, all the more, that they’re on par with Inklings intelligence wise. I REALLY want to see more interactions like this someday, it fills my heart with delight and joy.

Hello Cookie!! Can you explain autism symptoms for me?

Hi dear! Well it’s a very big argument and I want to talk about my experience that is different from others on the spectrum since every person is unique. I was diagnosed the last year and it was a shock since I’m 23 and I lived my whole life thinking “what is wrong with me? Why I just can’t get friends or having a conversation like the others?” Tumblr literally saved me, I saw a lot of post of regressors that are on the autism spectrum and I was like “Wait..that isn’t normal? I mean not everyone do that?”. So I did a loooot and I mean a looooot of researches on this argument, I tried to study more that I could and I found myself at home.

I can try to summarise the big symptoms for you (I’m not an expert I’m just a kiddo pls don’t be mean if I say or spell something wrong it’s also 5 am here) :

Sensory issues-it means that you have one or more senses very high, you’re sensitive to touch, smells, tastes, sounds or sights and they are more but I don’t remember those ahah! You can have all of them or a mix of them, usually they are more that one. You can’t stand having targets on your shirt, some kind of fabrics drives you crazy and you just really need that blanket to live a regular life and can’t understand why? Yeah me too. Most of the time they are bad, like some sounds literally makes me crazy, in high school I spent a terrible time because no one believed that I felt pain for certain sounds or lights. But I try my best to concentrate on what makes me happy like the fluffy blankets, not having socks, sleeping with a weight blanket, walking with my cancelling headphones and the taste of a cheesy pizza. You just need to listen to your brain if that light is too much please, when possible turning off, your health comes first! I tried to suppress this feelings my whole life to make other people “comfortable” aroun me but not anymore! If a room is too crowded and I literally hear every person talking, I usually feel very sick and need to recharge in another room. When I was a kid and my parents used to take me to the mall I literally fainted, they thought it was something that makes me unique but now we now it was my body reacting to overstimulation.

Having trouble socialising and in building relationships. This was the first criteria that convinced my therapist that I needed a test. As I told before I never get other people, they seemed like a different species to me and if I wanted a friend I needed to work really hard on acting and behaving like them. Obviously I failed every single time because I couldn’t resist more than few weeks? Also this was around elementary/middle school when in my head I needed friends like a task to do 😂 when I realised that I was way more happier by myself I didn’t try it again! But for me, like a lot of us is difficult because everything is built in a way that isn’t ours, every single conversation is based on a neurotypical way. The small talks, the chit chat, I never get this things, why we need to talk about the weather when we can talk about how cool is the Pokémon Go game? Do you know what I mean? I think you does. Also big tip try to talk with a person on the autism spectrum and see if you’re more comfortable and tuned with them, I had three friends irl ,we’re all on the spectrum and let me tell you that is so much easier talk and keeping a relationship when you both understand each other.

Special interests!! Omg! Pls don’t get me started I will never end this post 😂 they literally saved my life, I didn’t know they were special interest until my therapist told me but let me tell you that I have a lot of them!!! Special interests are one or more subjects that you have a deep, almost professional, passion about. They can be simple, scholastic or very complex topic. And you don’t need to be an encyclopaedia to prove that is your special interest, the same fact that you have something that you reaaaaaally love talking about and can’t stop learning more and more about it makes it valid. Let me tell you that at the age 10 I learned Japanese because I fell in love with Japan culture, I didn’t have internet I studied from books and old movies/animes. I never thought that was a special interest because for me it was just my way of loving something.

Stimming. This is something that our dear cousins with ADHD have in common with us. Most of the times someone in the autism spectrum have also adhd and viceversa but it isn’t always the case. Stimming is a natural process to express our emotions, it comes naturally and it’s like an electric feelings (for me) it’s something that you can’t stop and if you tried to suppress it will grow and make you feel worst (not like in a tic or ocd way more in a mental state). Everyone stim, people stimming to music is very acceptable and well viewed by the society but people like us need to stim to express our emotional state. I personally suppressed my stims for so many years because of bad teachers that im still trying to relearn most of them. It’s a common thing to having your diagnosis or starting to accept your autistic traits and then see your stims grow like never before! Most are gestures like flappy hands or jumping when you’re happy or if you ate a good food but they could be everything like chewing, singing, humming, bouncing legs, hair wrapping, scratching, eating nails, watching aesthetic photos, listening a song on repeat or clapping hands.

They’re more and more things to add in this list but I already did a long post and I got so excited for this question that I forgot to take my meds 😂 I tried to summarise with the points that my therapist told me were the most relevant for my diagnosis. Do you have ships in sp outside of the big ones?

Hmmm, yes but not that many. Mostly I stick with the big ones, which I have to mention because I can’t just ignore them! 

The main big one is obvious. Style is the endgame for me. No matter who I imagine either of them with in between, they always end up together in the end for me. It could happen when they’re 16 and hormonal, 20 and feeling the weight of college separation, 28 and reuniting after getting established in their careers, 40 and divorced, all of the above, it doesn’t matter - it just happens eventually. And even when they aren’t together, Stan is still whipped for Kyle and they still argue dramatically like they’re a couple in a movie, and everyone around them is just waiting for them to take the leap. The way it happens varies, but it always happens. I have names picked out for their kids. I know how their parents would act as in-laws and grandparents. I know how they’ll merge religions and celebrate holidays. I know who will die first (Stan, because Kyle’s not allowed to die until he does). There is no universe where they don’t end up together, in my mind. 

Creek is a big one in fandom that is less big for me, I guess. I love Creek fanart but I don’t usually go out of my way to read fic about them, nor do I have any ideas of my own for them. I just like everyone else’s headcanons! They truly get the best fanart, it’s not fair. And at this point there’s so much fic for them, I wouldn’t even know where to start. But I love what Matt & Trey have done with them in canon. 

I have a love-hate relationship with Kyman, which makes sense for the pairing hah. I think it’s basically canon that it’s one-sided, and I also think it would be very, very easy for Kyle to get sucked into some kind of relationship with Cartman in high school, with the possibility of it continuing for years in a toxic, on-off cycle. I’m actually writing a fic about that right now, a sequel to something I wrote ten years ago. Whenever Kyle doesn’t have Stan as his rock, he gravitates into Cartman’s orbit, so I think in some ways they’re inevitable? But never endgame. I actually really dislike stories in which they have a happy ending, because I don’t think it’s possible and Kyle deserves better than that. 

I like Stendy; it’s the only Stan pairing I’ll allow other than Style. I think they’d be that on-again, off-again couple for years, but then break up permanently in college, probably by Thanksgiving break freshman year. Wendy is destined to be with someone a lot more ambitious than Stan, and Stan is destined to be with Kyle, and I think they’d both always know that about each other (particularly Wendy), but they���ll try to make it work over and over again in the meantime because they’re just comfortable with each other.

Candy is pretty good too. I think it could easily happen in the heat of the moment, during a drunken argument about politics at a winter break house party, and Wendy would be angry at herself the next day for enjoying it so much lmao. They wouldn’t date though. She’d never stoop that low (unlike Kyle, who in some AUs would stoop that low at least three times over the years because Cartman “changed”, but Wendy always knows better than that). Cartman would probably get a little too attached, but no amount of begging and pleading could get her to go out in public with him.

I never really liked Bunny back in the day, but it’s grown on me over the last few years. Mysterion and SOT changed the game; I really like gnc Kenny and think that idea works better with Butters than the Super Masc Horny Kenny from days gone by. It’s one of those pairings I won’t read on its own, and probably wouldn’t write, but it works as a side pairing if it’s done well. I like the idea of Kenny and Butters exploring gender expression together and dealing with their traumas through roleplay, since they have that tendency in common. They’d have a mutual understanding that they both have a preference for feminine-leaning folks, and they just get each other, so it’s a chill arrangement.

Another side pairing I like is Clybe! I think Bebe is honestly way too good for Clyde, but that’s kind of why it would work. They’d both be so aware of it. Clyde knows his place and he’d spoil the shit out of her. And she’d become a doctor or a lawyer and make way more money than him, and people would be like “why the FUCK is this beautiful, smart, ambitious, successful woman with this small town douchebag?”, but Clyde cries at the end of sad movies with her and always remembers their anniversary and is a great cook and is always willing to talk about his feelings, so they have a smooth, comfortable relationship.

Pairings I like the art for but never really think about include Crenny, K2, and Bendy. They’re just aesthetically cute, but I can’t bring myself to care about them beyond that.

Pairings that are or were canon that I like but don’t really seek out in fandom include Token/Nichole, and Token/Wendy. Heiman I have mixed feelings about because while I LOVED that whole plot line since it exposed Cartman as the abusive boyfriend he was always going to be, obviously he wasn’t good for Heidi, so I can’t really categorize it as a pairing I like.

Crack pairings I’ve RPed that I still like to this day even though they literally do not exist in fandom and only really worked in those very specific circumstances are Gregory/Kyle and Trent Boyett/Bebe.

OH and Kenny/Henrietta? I saw a post about them one time, which has stuck with me for some reason.

oh, i've tried but it's just not something i can be consistent with. i enjoy having a mix of everything i like in here, even though this is first and foremost a kpop blog. i just don't like to limit myself or feel like i have log in a different blog to rb an aesthetic picture or a quote.

also as long as i'm feeling talky (read: mildly tipsy so less ruthlessly self-censoring of my own nonsense than usual) i was thinking earlier, sure wish i knew how to reconcile my bodyfeelings with how i want to be treated socially by people bc like, on the one hand it continues to be true that i kind of (okay i say 'kind of' but that makes it sound like apathy when really it's intensely mixed feelings, like let's be clear i absolutely make squinchy displeased faces at myself in the mirror about this on the daily) *do* wish i didn't have tits, they just feel like an uncomfortable thing i don't enjoy hauling around and at my current weight they aren't even pretty so like, genuinely what is the Point [discussion of other body parts redacted but i have plenty of negative things to say abt those lmao] but also it's not obvious to me that being seen by broader society as a dude would be an improvement really? like fundamentally i just feel like an exiled alien which of course is probably less objectively true than it subjectively seems but... idk. really half the problem is that all my gender theorizing is limited by my total social isolation but that is not getting fixed any time soon. but like probably (definitely, i follow & love some of you) there are queer/trans men who are not like my very boring weirdly-normie concepts of Men, lord knows i know women come in all stripes and it's not remotely as though i feel meaningful kinship with all women! (and also i hear there are some people who are neither women nor men, imagine if i could figure out how to include those people in my social analysis. [i say as one of those.]) really i just want to stop dividing people this way and figure out how to find a group of quiet thoughtful people who are kind and be one of those people. which i sort of have, on the internet! but unfortunately socially-embedded/embodied life is harder. definitely an argument to be made for 'look just make moves in the direction of what makes you feel better to see in the mirror and behave the way you want to behave and see what treatment that returns and deal with it at that point' but that involves, like, being in touch with my own desires (imagine that very studded with scare quotes) which is a state from which life has cut me off at absolutely every turn. (also i don't trust a surgeon to be as aesthetically fussy as i myself am. like the current situation is bad but familiar? whereas if i ended up at 'bad in a whole new way' that would probably be psychologically worse. though like, hilarious that i'm positioning myself as any kind of judge of what's psychologically healthy when my body is absolutely breaking down with somaticized woes.) mostly i just want friends and datepeople but like. unfortunately i have devolved into a useless sad jowly slug so why would anybody want to be one of those for me. would have to be some kind of abstract generosity which is not actually how meaningful human connection works. moue moue moue.

Stripped Making Of (not so) Liveblog, actually more of an aimless ramble

Ah the stripped video. One of my absolute favorites.The one I could say so much about and at the same time am so exhausted by even thinking about it ...

But basically this is why I don’t trust Philipp Stölzl. Because I honestly don’t buy that he couldn’t explain to them how controversial Leni Riefenstahl Material would be. I do buy that they were fairly unfamiliar, lots of people were and still are, and especially with their background, I think they genuinely might have not understood. But him? I mean in order to even think of that material he had to have known. And like, that means he is either way too comfortable with her proximity to the NSDAP, or he genuinely kind of just assumed that they knew what they were letting themselves in for. And that’s assuming a pretty arrogant position to be honest. I know he initially wanted to refilm all that but I genuinly don’t think that if he had explained to them more in-depth what this means that they would have still used it. Not with them always being so upset at being seen as right wing. @msgwendolenfairfax recently said something like that he’s jerking off to his own intellectualism, and ever since I do believe it’s mostly that, that he just assumed this “it’s an aesthetic choice, not a political one” position which I am very much on board with in principle, but in practice was letting the band walk into open fire imo. I mean I looked, and he has a clean reputation otherwise, so I do believe it must have been that. Which - giving him the benefit of a doubt - could have just been because he comes from a very intellectual (theatrical) background, that’s what he does nowadays, so it could have been genuine mistake, —- kind of expecting more from the audience than it could deliver, but really? A mistake that big? Why, Philip? It’s entirely possible that I read wayyyyy way too much into it, but like, I have seen people fired for a lot less in this country and I am just so suspicious.

All that being said, that video IS brilliant aesthetically, and anyone who wants to dispute Riefenstahls accomplishments because of it’s evil purposes completely misses the point to be honest. Some of these shots are filmed in a way that would be rare and astonishing even today. My grandmother was only a couple of years younger than her and one of the two first female students at the Munich School for Photography, and she was accused weekly of being too stupid for a camera. That’s the time we are talking about. She might have been a dirty opportunitist, but how much can you really blame her. Can you imagine saying no to these opportunities as a woman, with a camera, during that time? Honestly? People give Albert Speer more slack than her and it’s. Suspicious, let’s leave it at that.

Back to the actual making of, I should update on how my Depeche Mode exploration is going perhaps. I love those “works for everyone” acts, I mean how many of these are there even? What is comparable from later on? Gorillaz? Wu Tang Clan? Billie Eilish?

I am making horcruxing a verb, because him hiding liking pop music is basically me hiding my Eminem records and my classical CDs from my punk friends and I start to be convinced he just flung a bit of his soul around he accidentally splintered off during the chaos of reunification and I had to catch it like the idiot I am.

I think the stripped ... down to the bone might have been so hard for Till because it covers quite a big range from beginning to end of the line, and he doesn’t normally do that. Like it would be a fluid change from where his voice needs to sit in the beginning to where it sits in the end of it? Because in principle he should be able to hit it I think ...

Yeah see, they didn’t think about the consequences. But they should have and I genuinly do not understand why noone stepped in and made them.

I love how unwilling to compromise Paul is here. I mean I 100% agree with him, and to be honest I don’t think they should have decided against using it, it’s just that they seemed to have been so unaware of what they are using that makes me pause.

See I actully like how Stölzl explains this here. If you take those images on their own and recontextualize it, there is nothing wrong about it whatsover. And doing just that is an art historical constant. It’s just difficult because most people aren’t art historians and can’t sort their instincts away from objectivity. It’s a weird mix of simultaneously knowing too much and too little that makes cases like this so difficult.

See that’s the thing, yes there were (and are) alot of debates about the “who are we and how are we gonna deal with this legacy” thing, but just blindly starting that experiment slightly puts the answer before the question, or? And again, if this would have been a conscious decision of everyone involved I am all for it and I agree, but it just seriously seemed like that wasn’t the case? Or alternatively if he just stumbled over rolls of film and used it, that would’ve been fine too.

The aesthetic commonalities of Nazi Germany and the Warsaw Pact countries could send me into a whole other tangent but I’m gonna shut up about it other than “YES”, because I’m not actually knowledgeable enough about it.

God, I feel so sad for them for that fallout. :(

Yeah, Richard’s right. It is a pity that knowing that fallout going in, you wouldn’t make that video. So maybe it is a good thing in a way that it happened that way, because it is an aesthetic masterpiece, that otherwise would not exist. The ideal state would be when we could make a video like that, fully knowing what it means, and still being able to do it because the majority of people would understand how semiotics work, but I mean utopia isn’t real so.

God honestly ... that conflict of aesthetics and their emotional impact vs their history can fill dissertations (and already does), and it’s truly one of those things our society needs to learn to give people the individual freedom to draw those lines in the sand for themselves. It honestly goes both ways, people say “it’s not like the nazis” because it doesn’t wear neat uniforms but dirty shirts and red caps, and they say it causes school shootings even tho school shootings are caused by bullying and the music we listen to has probably helped more bully victim survive and stay sane than anything, and it’s all part of a huge “I think I understand something based on what it looks like and use that as a quick escape from actually making the effort to understand what it is” delusion.

Yeah see, Stölzl referencing the darkness and crossing of limits - he KNEW what he was doing. He completely derails his own argument, first he says those images are only negative if you know what they came from like it’s two completely seperate things and then he goes “yeah the darkness was needed” ... the darkness you only know if you know where it comes from ... ? What’s it gonna be Philip? I mean I can follow both arguments but like, using both simultaneously seems a bit ... hmm.

Aww Schneider and Paul being proud boys, look at them. It’s funny how Paul “I want to fling shit in everybody’s face” Landers actually gets quite flustered when people he likes love his stuff, no? He reacts the most impressed with the Lost Highway thing aswell, it’s really quite endearing.

I think I rambled on without conclusion even worse than usual but in fairness it’s a very complex issue. TL;DR: I wish they would have made that video knowing what they let themselves in for, because I do think it would have made the fallout easier to bear and I wish that hadn’t happened to them. Does that make sense? At some point very far into the future I will want to write an actual essay about this but we can jot this down as initial brainstorm before you jump on me with arguments I missed, ok! (Seriously tho, please discuss this with me I need arguments that aren’t my own to sharpen my opinion)

Roman snuck into Remus’ room, letting out a heavy sigh once he’d made it safely inside. Remus, laying on the bed, sat up and smirked at his brother.

“Something wrong?” He teased, leaning back on his forearms. Roman made his way over and flopped on top of the duke, curling his arms around him and pressing his face into his neck.

“It is impossible to be quiet about this.” He muttered, relaxing in their hug. “Like, we can’t even pretend to just be brothers, let alone lovers! They think we hate each other so just hanging out in the same space is impossible!”

“Ah, forbidden love,” Remus joked. Roman looked up at him with a pout, merely receiving a grin back. He rolled his eyes and leaned down for a kiss, letting out a content hum. Roman’s hands wandered across the duke's chest, playing with the chest hair peeking out of his v-neck and then slipping his hand up the base of his shirt. Remus chuckled seductively and pressed his brother close, raising his shirt as he rubbed along his skin.

“Roman!” They heard. The two kept going. They figured if no one responded that they could keep doing their thing, but it just increased the yelling. “Roman!!”

“Fine, I’m coming!” He called back. He groaned into his partner's chest, making him laugh lightheartedly.

“I’ll be here,” he winked, dragging his hand along Romans back as he left.

Roman jumped, startled out of his resigned state as Patton yelled into his ear.

“Roman!” he said. “Why were you in Remus’ room? Are you okay?” Patton was quick to check over the prince, making sure he wasn’t injured or upset.

“Padre, I’m fine!” He assured, taking his hands and smiling softly. “He merely messed with my stuff again. A small reprimand and it’s all better now. Everything is back as it should be!” Patton visibly relaxed and let out a sigh.

“Oh, good. I know he’s your brother, but I can’t help but worry.” Roman internally grimaced.

“I know, sunshine. Thank you.” The creative side glanced at the door and felt a pit of sadness fall over him. He hated lying to the others this much; it would be so much better if people could just let him and Remus live how they wished. It’s not like one of them would become pregnant! That is the concern, right..? Whatever it is, at least they consented and are happy with where their relationship has gone. Right?

After helping Patton in the living room, then Virgil in his bedroom, and lastly Deceit with a monologue, Roman was finally able to head back to his and Remus’ room. He was two rooms away, when he froze at the sound of a sharp, deep voice.

“Roman, a question, if I may?” He turned to the logical side and plastered on a semi-real smile.

“Anything, brainiac! Fire away.” Logan stepped in close, pulling out his phone and adjusting his glasses to read.

“I’m looking for a more creative mind in this, so I thought you could help. There is this idea going around of 2 or more siblings, finding romantic interest in each other.” Roman’s heart plummeted. He tried to remain a calm exterior as he internally panicked where this conversation would head. “Apparently, people disapprove of the romantic aspect, yet a lot seem to find interest in the sexual acts the siblings partake in instead. I, personally, have no opinion, merely for the fact that everything has been very black and white. I’m looking for some actual answers besides ‘it’s wrong’ or ‘love is love’. I believe you would have a more open mind about this sort of thing? ” Roman blinked, and tried to vouch.

“Well, I mean, I do fall more to the latter of the two options you gave, the whole… love is love part, I mean.”

“Alright, how come?” Logan whipped out a clipboard-- from where, we may never know-- and began to write notes. Roman stared in confusion, but once Logan met his eyes and didn’t seem weirded out any, he continued his thought.

“Well, complications in such a relationship can occur, such as DNA mixing and the effects of procreation, but it really does just come to love. If someone finds themselves fancying their sibling, who can rightfully tell them that it’s wrong? It’s not. Because for it to be wrong, it would require consequence, which it does not if experienced properly.” Logan nodded along, scratching a pen across the clipboard. “Say, example, two brothers. If they fall in love and decide to act on their feelings via touch and words of comfort and so on, why is that wrong?” Logan tapped his pen on his chin in thought.

“You do have a valid argument. There’s some heavy complications to factor, but if the pairing does know of the issues that can arise and they do not act on it, it really is just ‘two bros loving each other’. Right?” Roman winced at his wording, but chose to disregard it.

“Right! So, do you have an opinion?” Logan tossed away the clipboard and dropped the pen.

“No. It’s not my business so why should I involve myself so?” Then he walked past Roman and shut the door to his room. The creative side blinked, but then proceeded to rush into Remus’ room, nearly slamming into him as he did.

“Remus! You’re not going to believe this!”

“You mean Logan not having an opinion and choosing not to involve himself in endeavours such as our relationship?”

“Logan doesn’t have an opin— hey, wait. You heard everything.” Remus winked with a smirk. “You spoiled the surprise!”

“Awe, come on, Ro, I'm just as shocked as the next sour weeaboo. Do you think we can tell him?” Roman bit his lip in thought. Remus watched as his brows began to slowly furrow and sat up in their bed. “How’s about this! I’ll go bother him, and bring this up. You stand and listen on the other side of the door. Then we can tell. Yeah?” Roman took a breath, then let it out and agreed.

“Howdy, buttmuncher.” Remus cried, dropping onto the logical sides’ bed. Logan startled, but barely jumped. “Looking a little bland in here. Care for a little creativity to liven this place up?”

“Actually!” Logan raised a hand and spun his desk chair to face his companion. “I had Roman lend a hand with decorating not too long ago. He made sure to keep my aesthetic while creating a more uplifting atmosphere.” Remus hummed, glanced around.

“Ah, that Roman. What a dreamboat, am I right?” He rolled onto his back, looking at Logan for a reaction. The reaction was a mere eyebrow raise.

“I’m not sure I would use that term in particular, though he is rather generous.”

“You’re right, perhaps there is a stronger term. How about, foxy? Ravishing? Ooh, I like that one!” Logan tilted his head.

“There’s a reason you’re choosing these words, isn’t there?” Remus rolled back onto his stomach, putting his head in his hands.

“Maybe. Can you guess?”

“Roman told you about what I spoke to him about and you’re here to tell me you two find yourselves in a situation of romantic attraction to one another?” Remus gasped and pulled his hands to his face in mock surprise.

“Logy wogy, you’re so smart~!” The logical side made a small face of agreement, adding in verbal confirmation to his ingenious. Also the fact that the two weren’t exactly subtle in the eyes of someone with his level of intelligence and eye for detail. “Oh, and we fucked, too.” And that, Logan unfortunately already knew as well.

I like mothman/cryptids and ghost felt like a nice thematic combo. Originally the whole name was mothmanghostboy, but I cut out the “boy” part to make it a little less gender-specific.

Yes! wanttostartover is my aesthetic/vaporwave blog. I don’t really mind mixing stuff in my main blog, but a vaporwave themed blog is just super appealing to me. (I also have another blog in the works, but I’ll announce that when it is ready ;3)

Regularly, but sporadically. I might pop in once a day just to check if there is any new likes/reblogs. If I am bored I will probably scroll the dash mindlessly for a good few minutes, and close the site, open it again some minutes later until I remember what I am supposed to do. The usual.

No, thank God. I don’t think I would have the energy for that.
