#and then she also wanted me to crochet her something but I could because I caught the cold she lied about having and then blamed me for

Hot girls get yelled at and called horrible things by their sister, but it’s their sisters birthday so they have to act fine, and say “I’m sorry” over and over again, and smile, because they don’t want to ruin the day, and then comeback home and sob in their room <3

Santa Doesn't Know You Like I Do
Spencer Reid x Reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Summary: Your first Christmas with Spencer and you get his name for secret Santa.
WC: 1.8k
Tags: Fluff, Secret Santa, friends to lovers, one use of Y/N I think A/N: Sorry I went MIA :( I got busy with school. I hope to push out many ideas while I’m on break tho. Here’s something cheesy and festive for the holiday season I hope you enjoy! (not beta read don't kill me)
Nothing was right. Nothing you found was the right present.
This was your first secret Santa with the BAU and you picked Spencer's name out of penelope’s mug. At first you thought it would be easy to buy a present for him because you knew him so well. In almost a year of being with the BAU you grew the closest with Spencer.
What you didn’t expect was your present ideas to not live up to your own expectations. Nothing you came up with could live up to your own standards. Of course your “slight” feelings for him definitely affected this, but you tried to tell yourself that wasn’t true.
You ran through dozens of ideas. Clothing, a new scarf, tickets for a play, special edition of a book he loved. But nothing felt like the right present.
You almost gave up in your search for the perfect present for him. The gift exchange was in less than a week and you still had nothing. Sitting at your desk in the bullpen you considered settling with one of your first ideas.
While getting up to refill your coffee mug you noticed Spencer’s attention was focused on his computer. He sat there deep in thought with his brows furrowed and lips in a fine line. When you walked by his desk you saw he was playing an online chess game.
“Working hard or hardly working?” you joked.
He popped out of his focus from your presence. “I finished my files a little early,” he responded bashfully.
“Are you at least winning?”
He smirked, “I’ve won four times. But that’s not even the fun part. The fun is doing different plays every time and seeing what the computer comes up with as the best response.”
That’s when it hit you. An idea for Spencer’s gift.
Finally something that felt like a good gift for him. At the end of the day you rushed out of work to go to the craft store and get your supplies. You worked on the gift everyday after work.
Soon the weekend rolled around and you found yourself at Rossi’s. His living room had the biggest Christmas tree you’d ever seen. Everyone’s gifts sat there for the evening. After dinner you all sat down to exchange gifts.
“I want to go first!” Garcia exclaimed. She jumped up from the couch and hurried to the tree to grab her gift for JJ.
JJ excitedly opened the gift bag to find a small black and grey purse with a colorful crochet keychain. The idea that Garcia also handmade part of her gift gave you a sense of relief.
“Oh this is so pretty. Thank you so much,” she beamed, admiring the bag and twirling the keychain. Garcia squealed in happiness before JJ offered a hug to her.
JJ then handed over her gift to Rossi, a bottle of scotch. He smiled and thanked her for the bottle saying how his collection needed a new addition.
He stood up and brought his hands together looking at the tree. “My turn.” He grabbed a thin box wrapped in silver sparkly wrapping paper and walked over to you.
“For you, my dear,” he handed you the box.
Your eyes widened and lips perked up at the gift. It may be a little silly but, part of you wished that you were Spencer’s secret santa. You reminded yourself that the possibility of you both picking each other's names was unlikely. The possibility of some things being the same between the two of you was … unlikely.
You ripped back the paper to reveal a large eyeshadow pallet. Upon opening it, you saw an array of beautiful shades you couldn’t wait to try out.
“Rossi, this is so sweet. I love it,” You thanked with a bright smile.
Now it was your turn. Everyone’s eyes only made the moment more stressful. You got up and grabbed the box with a nervous hand. What if he didn’t like it? What if he thought it was too cheesy or corny? What if he thought it was useless as he already owned two of them?
You tried to quiet your thoughts as you handed him the box, but they had no intention of leaving.
“Merry Christmas Spence,” you said softly.
When you turned and walked back to your seat you neglected to see the rising blush on his face.
Spencer glanced down at the white and red striped paper. He carefully peeled it off and opened the lid to reveal a chess set nestled in between red tissue paper. The board spaces were off-white and royal purple with corresponding chess pieces the same colors. When he picked up the wooden pieces and saw small leaves and flowers painted on them. The King and Queen specifically had crowns in a shimmering gold.
“Wow look at that,” Emily admired.
Upon further inspection he noticed the small human imperfections in the details. The way not one leaf or flower looked exactly the same. Or how the clear coating over the paint was slightly streaky in some spots.
“Did you paint this?” He asked.
You nodded your head and answered , “Yeah I did.”
A faint “awe” could be heard across the room from Garcia.
“Y/N,” Spencer started, his voice full of admiration. “This is … beautiful.”
The butterflies in your stomach were getting restless.
“Really?” you asked, not able to hide the smile spreading on your face.
“Yes! It’s Perfect,” his eyes sparkled at you. “I love it. Nobody’s ever given me something like this.” He beamed at you with a smile that made you love sick.
The realization that you both were not alone set in and Spencer cleared his throat before closing the box. The gift exchange continued as Spencer handed over a present to Morgan.
The rest of the night was filled with catching glances and far away looks between you and Spencer. He seemed to feel more relaxed in a way after receiving your gift. Not that he was acting any differently. He just seemed more open. With the group and with you.
You lived off that feeling the whole evening. The idea that you made him happy. You helped him see he was appreciated and loved.
Not that he had to know you loved him.
He didn’t know that. Right?
As the hands on the clock passed you announced your departure and said your goodbyes. You stepped outside and felt a chill against your skin.
You held tight onto your keys as you walked to your car. The snow had just started to fall. Occasional little flurries fell down from the sky.
“Wait!” Someone yelled from behind.
You turned to find Spencer trying his best to run but not slip on the icy parts of the driveway. When he got closer you noticed his cheeks and the tip of his nose were pink. Probably from the cold weather you thought.
“I wanted to formally say thank you for the chess set,” he explained.
“You’re welcome,” you replied with a smile. You stuffed your hands in your pockets away from the cold. “I’m glad you like it. I was worried you’d find it cheesy.”
He looked confused. “Why would I find it cheesy?”
You shrugged, “because I hand painted it.”
“But that’s what makes it perfect,” he reassured. His voice is sincere and soft. “It’s personal and shows you care.”
His eyes widened. “Oh um-“
He suddenly remembered why he rushed outside and scrambled for something in his jacket pocket. It was a small cube shaped box wrapped in paper covered in snowflakes. Quite fitting for the weather.
“I know I technically wasn’t your secret Santa but I still wanted to get you something.”
You took the gift from him with a slack jaw. “Spence-“
“This isn’t because you were my secret Santa. I still wanted to get you a gift regardless,” he reassured.
“I- Thank you,” you started unwrapping the gift.
“It’s not homemade like yours but I hope you still like it.”
”It doesn’t have to be homemade for me to-“ the wind was stolen out of your lungs.
The gift was a small gold and white music box you immediately recognized. You opened the lid to reveal a ballerina in a pink tutu spinning as Sleeping Beauty Waltz played. Your heart ached as you admired the tiny dancer.
”Is this the music box from that antique shop in Seattle?”
While on a case in Seattle, you and Spencer went to an antique shop to ask the owner about evidence found at the crime scene that was purchased there. You fell in love with a beautiful music box in one of the aisles.
“It is. I saw how you looked at it in the store and in the car you said it reminded you of when you used to do ballet. So before we left Seattle I went back to the store to get it for you. I thought it would make a great Christmas present.”
“But, that was three months ago.”
He sheepishly smiled and his cheeks only got more red. “Yeah, I had to keep it a secret for a while.”
Your heart rate started to pick up as the butterflies returned. “I can't believe you went back and bought this for me,” you muttered in disbelief.
“Of course I would. You mean a lot to me and I knew this was something that would make you happy.”
You admired the music box before carefully placing it in your purse. “Thank you so much. I love it.”
His smile grew and reached his eyes. His eyes looked beautiful in this lighting. The Christmas lights from the house made them look practically golden. Even in the freezing cold you could melt from his eyes.
He shifted his weight and licked his lips. He seemed wrapped around the words in his head. “I also wanted to ask if maybe you’d want to go see The Nutcracker with me.”
Your heart damn near stopped.
“It’s playing at the theater downtown. I was thinking if we don’t get a case then we could go see the show on Friday. Maybe, if you want to, that is,” he rambled in nervousness.
“I’d love to,” you beamed.
His face brightened at your eagerness, but his nerves were still present. “But not as friends. As a date?”
You chuckled, “Yes Spencer, I would love to go on a date with you. I think the nutcracker is a perfect first date.”
“Great,” he said with relief. “And maybe afterwards we might have time for a game of chess with my new board.”
God he was cute.
“That sounds great.”

Tim who does crochet.
It’s Dick who is given the first gift, long before Tim is Robin and even before he knows who Robin is.
It was simply because he was a kind kid who had been there to witness something horrible and wanted to comfort the poor boy he saw sobbing off two lost loved ones.
Little Tim walked up to Dick with the crochet elephant that was admittedly a little funky looking and held it up to him without making eye contact. He had hidden the small plushie from his parents lest they disapprove of his hobby, just like they did with drawing and skating.
Dick had beamed happily and held onto the toy, saying it was so cute and how Tim should be so happy to have it.
Tim had frowned and shook his head, “It’s for you, Mister Grayson. It’s Tifa.”
Never had Tim seen someone so in awe of his creation as he did in that moment and it made him beam just like Dick had been.
Once Dick took the little elephant into his hands Tim had bolted away.
Bruce was next, being gifted a big fluffy jumper on his first birthday after loosing Jason. It was a soft, light green with too long sleeves that went over his ass. It was big, far too big, and thick enough that it might even be too hot in autumn.
He didn’t wear it for a while, mainly because he ignored the big wrapped present Tim had left in his room out of guilt and shame and even a little frustration.
When he opened it up he put it on and promptly broke down, finding the feeling more similar to a hug than he thought something non-hug could get.
He wore it in front of Tim once to show he appreciated it and then wore it whenever he was injured.
Steph got a few things, mainly tops and one big blanket that he gave her after they reconnected when she came back. It had been his way of saying he forgave her and wanted to be her friend again without using words.
Cass got a big poncho with a hood that was rainbow, bright and loud while still capable of hiding her when she felt she couldn’t be seen.
It took a long time for him to make Jason anything after he came back. When he did, him and Tim avoided each other for over a year until Tim overheard Alfred talking to Bruce about how sad it was to not see his two bright boys getting along.
Alfred had been pouring tea with the pot he made a kettle warmer snug with Lilly of the Vally on it when he said it.
So, Tim had searched through his old photos of Jason’s Robin and made himself recall those old ideals and awe. He made himself remember what Jason also had ripped from him and, while it wouldn’t change or excuse how Jason had brutalised him, it made him understand him more.
He decided that instead of joining to Jason and having a heart to heart, that he should do what all bats did and start off without saying a thing.
He makes Jason a blanket that took him over a month of a floral book cover of Jane Ire.
Tim was relived when it was done and simply left it laid out on Jason’s bed in his latest hideout with a note that said,
“I know little about Jane Ire, maybe you could tell me about it sometime?
~ Tim. D.”
Jason had sent him a text a day later to say he could send him a copy with his annotations if he wanted.
It wasn’t long after Tim had read the book, taking twice as long with all the notes Jason had left in it, that he was then left to make something for Damian.
Naturally, he didn’t want to at first.
Also naturally, he got bored and wanted to make another animal after seeing Tifa again. She was cute, but a little munted with age.
He took one look at Titus and promptly made a plan to create him with crochet. He wanted to give it to Bruce after he was done, but he’s only an asshole when he finds it entertaining.
At heart, he’s a kind boy, so he gives it to Damian.
When he gets an actual, verbal thank you from the new Robin, he makes Alfred the Cat and Ace, then finally Bat-cow and Goliath.
The best thing he’s made, according to Duke, is Signals first ever fan made merch that he wears nearly all the time.
Kate says that wrong because the leg warmers he made for winter patrols have apparently saved her life.
Salina would say it’s actually the cat pawed mittens he made her when he was twelve and never told Bruce about.

Courting Gifts- Thorin x Human!Reader
Summary: Reader didn’t realise what Thorin gave her was a courting gift, but she’s quick to remedy it
Word count: 966
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Your hands begin to shake as you run through Erebor to find Ori. Your heart racing and your feet pounding against the marble of the newly restored kingdom, as you looked for the young dwarf.
Thorin had given you a beautiful dagger a couple weeks ago, assuming it was a thank you gift of friends, as you’d been the one to never leave his side and have worked so hard to restore his kingdom. Unfortunately according to Kili and Fili, you were completely wrong.
That beautiful danger was one Thorin had hand crafted just for you, using a style and gems he knew you loved, and according to his nephews, it was in fact a courting gift. Your heart seemed to stop at hearing this, not because of your lack of feelings for the king, but more for your abundance of them.
You never thought Thorin would return the feelings you had for him, but now you were beginning to understand why he had been so grumpy lately. According to his nephews, once a woman is gifted her courting gift, it is customary for her to give one in return.
It had been two weeks and Thorin had not noticed you making anything or asking anyone to help you make him something, so his heart sank.
As soon as the princes explained this to you, you ran to Ori, hoping he could help. Weapons and jewellery weren’t really your strong suit, but you had knit and crocheted some things when you were younger, so you figured that was the best way to go.
“Ori!” You yelled as you finally saw him, causing a few dwarves to turn to look at you.
Turning around he smiled sweetly as he saw you running towards him.
“My sweet dwarven friend, I need your help.” You puffed out with a hopeful grin, all the running around causing you to be a little out of breath.
*****
Luckily for you, Ori was more than happy to help; in fact the young dwarf beamed and jumped at the opportunity to help his ‘future queen’ as he put it. Such a title filled you with both anxiety but mainly excitement as you began your plan.
For the past few weeks you had worked hard to make Thorin a blanket that he would hopefully love. It wasn’t perfect and some of it was slightly loose, but Ori, Fili and Kili reassured you that it was the love and hard work that you put into it that would make Thorin smile.
For the past two weeks the princes and Ori had been running between helping you and calming Thorin, while you worked hard at your gift.
Late one night as you knocked on the door to Thorins study, you remembered all the reassuring words your friends had spoken to you.
‘He will love it!’
‘It’s made by you and with your love, don’t forget that’
‘Hurry up and be my Aunty already!’
Those encouraging words seemed to run faster and faster through your head as you waited for Thorin to answer the study door. As the door swung open, both of your somber looks turned to matching bright smiles as you looked at one another.
Working on the gift meant you hadn’t seen as much of Thorin as you usually would, but looking into each others eyes now, felt like a soothing balm over you both.
Silently stepping aside to let you into the study, you took a deep breath as you gently placed your wrapped present on the plush couch. Thorin chose to also stand as he smirked at your cute fussing.
Walking over to him once the gift was placed out of the way, you gingerly took his hands in yours, a smile growing on your face as he reciprocated the action.
“Thorin, when you had gifted me that dagger, I didn’t know the intention behind it, but after learning what it meant I wanted to make amends for how I must have hurt you, not returning a gift.” You smile sweetly down at him.
Taking one of his cheek in your hand, your thumb rubs against his cheek bone. A mix of realisation, relief and joy hit his eyes as the meaning of what you were saying began to sink in.
Gently stepping away from him, you retrieve your gift from the couch.
“This is for you, to show that I not just accept your gift, but that I relish in its meaning.” You smile warmly as you place the gift in his hands, a tear of happiness threatening to break from your now watery eyes.
Your eyes flitter between his hands and face as he begins to unwrap the blanket.
Finally the gift is revealed and he lets out a breathy laugh and tear filled smile as he takes in your gift. His smile grows and grows the more he looks at it, the gift filling him with so much joy he can’t help but rub it gently across his face.
After a while of admiring your gift, his eyes finally meet yours. Placing the blanket on his desk chair, he pulls you into a tight embrace.
“Thank you, Amrâlimê. Your gift means more to me than I can ever express. It will keep us and our future family warm at night and bring us joy for years to come. Your gift is more perfect than you will ever know.” He tearfully expresses to you, now gently embracing your face in his strong hands.
“I love you, Thorin.” You confess as you stare into his beautiful eyes.
“I love you too, my sweet Zabdûna (queen).” Thorin returns your confession, as he leans into you sweetly, and plants a passionate kiss on your lips, that you are more than eager to return.

Proseka headcanons
-as rui’s childhood friend, nene has extensive fire safety knowledge
-shizuku is adopted, hence why she looks so different from shiho. she was adopted shortly before the moon rabbit event and it contributed to her clinginess
-shiho forgets this fact sometimes. she’ll casually mention something like shizuku got all mom’s good genes so unfair and ichika has to be. um. shiho
-kanade is mildly nearsighted/myopic but spends so much time at her computer she hasn’t noticed
-emu is buff. she climbs multiple stories without breaking a sweat and is canonically part of the swimming, handball and rhythmic gymnastic clubs, you can’t tell me she doesn’t have some muscle
-saki helps out as a human notepad for tsukasa, reminding of him things he would otherwise forget within 5 minutes
-the vocaloids also help. at first it was unnerving to have hatsune miku be an extension of his psyche that knows his darkest secret (stole saki’s candy when he was 6) but now his phone has a more reliable catgirl themed reminder system
-you know that classic nightmare of leaving the house without pants? tsukasa has legitimately done that as a kid. he forgor. (saki will never let him live it down)
-in the kamiyama student council/hall monitor room, an has put up at sign saying “_ days since last kamishiro incident”
-the shinonome siblings both figured out the other one was gay before they figured it out about themselves
-airi’s great at trivia from her time as a variety show star. she still can’t beat minori at idol trivia, though
-ena keeps a diary with fort knox level security. try to read it and you’ll lose a finger
-saki learned to crochet from the old ladies in the hospital
-shiho’s most treasured phenny is a somewhat lumpy crocheted phenny holding a very lumpy crocheted bass guitar
-tsukasa snores. he falls asleep in 10 seconds and sounds like a dying lawnmower
-mizuki has learned a small bit of french from their sister and uses it exclusively to teach rui and an how to swear in french
-emu still celebrates her grandfather’s birthday, even if he’s not there to celebrate with her
-ena is allergic to dogs, the middle point to airi’s cat allergy and akito’s dog phobia
-rui has various small scars from his experiments over the years, but nobody ever believes the real causes (rocket launcher, robot bite, exploding balloon animal, etc.) so he just makes up a new cause every time someone asks
-mmj! has had repeated incidents of minori and airi’s little siblings walking into frame when streaming at their houses. shiho understands the concept of a livestream but has still been caught failing at creeping past like that one new broadcast of the guy crawling along the floor
-kanade has pots & eds, this one I have a reason for look at her symptoms. chronic exhaustion, heat and cold intolerance, comorbid sleep issues and depression, dizziness when standing up, fainting after standing up, very pale skin, family history of medical issues, pain at normal physical activities, exercise intolerance, vertigo at mild exertion, she just fucking dies during the entire baseball event, I could go on. she canonically gets pain in her hands from opening a jar girl that is not just being out of shape that is physical disability. this one I will go conspiracy board on listen to me I’m right
-kohane ate bugs as a kid. an is horrified, toya is confused, akito is impressed
-ena and airi got in trouble in middle school because they’d keep starting fist fights in defense of the others honor. if they saw the other in a fight they’d jump in guns blazing no hesitation no questions ask ready to throw the fuck down
-vbs!rin and len were given a skateboard by an and then promptly had the skateboard confiscated by meiko for property destruction
-haruka is horrible with slang. she asks the stream chat what poggers means and immediately uses it completely wrong, killing all viewers on impact
-minori is torn between thinking it’s cute and wanting to die
-toya has been banned from arcades before because he made them lose too much money/they suspected he was cheating
-ena brought kanade over for girls night and nearly scared akito half to death because he went down to get a late night snack and there was some Ghastly Creature looming in his kitchen
-kohane's parents stick out like a sore thumb when going to her live shows. it mortifies her that everyone on vivid street can recognize them as the only milquetoast middle aged couple dressed in normal clothes loudly going YOU'RE DOING GREAT SWEETIE that don't know the first thing about music
-minori knows basic programming. she mostly uses it for forums, blogs, html, other web design things usually related to idols as a hobby, but she's become the groups designated anti-shizuku tech support
-mafuyu has always been able to see ghosts but after adults figured she was just playing pretend as a kid so she shrugged and figured it was normal and not worth bringing up again
-honami has one of those massive extended families and somehow keeps track of them all. at any given time cousin #57 can crawl out of the woodwork and she remembers their new job, favorite food, past three romantic relationships and list of allergic reactions
-mizuki does doll customizing as a hobby. they prefer making human sized clothes, but it's fun to make them miniature too. they've introduced shizuku to it and she loves it, but doesn't have the heart to do anything that would hurt the doll (sawing limbs off, dunking them in boiling water, shoving wires in them, etc.)

Another Round
Series: One Piece
Chapter: One Shot
Word Count: 2400
Rating: T
Pairing(s): Cross Guild x Reader (YN)
The treasure needs to be shared, doesn't it? And Perona is an agent of chaos.
a/n: Hey! Since the first one was so well received and because someone's going to have to follow the rules, have a part two. And if you're not careful, I just MIGHT put out a part three! Take THAT, Mom! Also, just a side note, words cannot describe how badly I want this to be turned into a cosplay crack. I would be so happy if this because a cosplay crack. I wish I had cosplay friends in near proximity.
@laws-wife-things Because you asked so nice for a tag. <3
It was another quiet evening in Mihawk’s castle.  Things had just finished winding down after dinner.  Mihawk and Crocodile were sitting comfortably in the study.  Mihawk with his knitting needles.  Crocodile with his crocheting.  While you were in the kitchen, finishing up the dishes.  It was something you insisted on.  Everyone had their therapeutic activity.  And things were well.  This time, Mihawk and Crocodile were certain where Buggy was.  He sat at the island, watching you with the dishes.  The poor thing was recovering from a nasty headache he had no recollection of getting.  Perhaps he was getting sick.  Perhaps it was stress.  Or perhaps it was having a nine iron repeatedly smacked into the side of his head.  He may never know.  But in the study, both Mihawk and Crocodile worked on their respective projects, living in the cloud of smoke Crocodile made for both of them.  Not that Mihawk truly minded.  It mingled in with his wine and gave it an interesting flavor profile.  The evening would prove to be a quiet one.  And no one was complaining.
Except Perona.  Perona, who loved to cause a little chaos in the house.  And she knew right where her favorite button was.
“Hey, YN?” Perona sat next to Buggy with an ice pack on his head and his face buried in the countertop, “Can I ask you a question?”
“Sure, Perona,” you put up the last plate in the cabinet and let the water drain out of the sink, “What is it?”
“Well…” Perona thought, “Remember when we were playing fuck, marry, kill in the attic?”
“Not really,” Buggy grumbled into the granite, “Were we playing fuck, marry, kill today?”
“Yes, Buggy.” You put a gentle, loving hand to his shoulder.  You knew how Crocodile could get when it came to you.  And you knew how Mihawk could be.  Mostly because you were still just a little sore from what happened after that game was over.  But every little ache still felt so good.  Still, you felt bad that Buggy had to take the brunt of it, “What about it, Perona?”
“I had an idea for another one,” Perona grinned, “If you don’t mind playing again.”
“You know what?” You hopped up on the counter.  It was your favorite place in all the castle.  Something about sitting on the counter felt so grounding to you.  Or maybe it was because it was one of Crocodile’s favorite places to catch you off guard.  If he only knew what you and Buggy had done on that island…and on the kitchen table.  But you kept that to yourself, “Alright, Perona.  Hit me.  What do you got?”
“Fuck, marry, kill,” Perona smirked, “The big boys of the Straw Hat Pirates…”
“Really?” You winced, “Isn’t one of them practically your brother?”
“It’s purely hypothetical, YN…” She reminded you, “Come on.  Zoro, Luffy, Sanji.  I know you know what they’re all like.  Go.”
“Fine…” You took a moment to think about it.  It was just to humor Perona.  It’s not like any of this was going to ever happen, “I’d have to fuck Zoro, marry Sanji, and kill Luffy.”
“Well,” Buggy approved, “At least I’m not the one on the chopping block.”
“Pun intended, Buggy?”
“Maaaaaybe.” You hated that you loved the clown.  But he made you giggle.  Even though it was one of those things that was so stupid, it cycled back around to being funny.
“I need an explanation, YN,” Perona begged, “What do we got going on in that little head of yours?”
“Yeah,” Buggy listened intently, “I’m a little curious, too.  You’re killing the little rubber pain in the ass.  That one, I get.  But what’s going on with the other two?”
“Alright, alright,” you settled them, “Let’s start right off the bat why I’m killing Luffy.  Think about it.  If I kill Luffy, think of how much easier it would make life on Mihawk and Crocodile.  Although, I feel like it’s the same situation as when we played this with you being the one I kill, Buggy.”
“Because killing Buggy would also make it so much easier on Mihawk and Crocodile?” Perona teased.
“Again,” Buggy glared, “I have feelings, Perona.  Hurtful.  Incredibly hurtful.”
“Don’t be such a baby,” Perona gave him a little shove, “It’s fine.  Again, we’re playing a game of hypotheticals.”
“Not necessarily that,” you went on, “Mostly because he just got caught up in the crossfire.”
“Oh…” Buggy let it go, “But what about the other two?”
“We’ll start with Zoro,” you decided, “Look at him.  He’s got that pretty face, that killer body…It’s like if I were to put Mihawk and Crocodile in one body.  And I’d be totally here for it.  But then again, I know his reputation.  I’d be begging him to find the clit and he’d get turned around at my shoulder somehow.”
“Bless his heart,” Perona clutched her chest.
“But I have a feeling that once he does find it,” a little smile crept across your face, “First of all, it’ll be entirely by accident.  But once he does find it, he’ll find it over and over and over and over and Perona, you can ask anyone here.  They’ll all tell you the same thing.  Overstimulation to the point where I’m drooling on myself?  That’s the shit right there.”
“Absolutely,” Buggy picked his head back up and pulled you into his lap, “We know what you like, doll.  It’s too bad we can’t all be in the same room.”
“It is kind of a downer,” you agreed.  You had been begging for all three of you taking you at once for almost as long as you’ve been with them, but you understood.  Crocodile was too huge.  Mihawk was too greedy.  Buggy was too…Buggy.  If Buggy got involved while either one of them were with you, it was either an immediate turn off or it would turn into someone leaving with a black eye.  And it wasn’t going to be Mihawk or Crocodile.
“But,” Perona brought them back, “You said you were fucking Zoro, killing Luffy…Why are you marrying the chronic pervert?”
“I don’t see him like that.” You sighed out, “I’m marrying Sanji for all the right reasons.  Put a woman in front of that man and he is on his knees.  He is doing everything he can to make sure she is taken care of.  He is doing everything to make sure she is happy.  And if he can’t do that, he’s going to go self-flagellate in her name.  Not to mention, I’ve seen that man fight.  Not that I’m doubting Zoro’s ability to protect me, but Sanji can do just as well.  And I still get all the worship I want.  I wouldn’t have a husband.  I would have a male wife and I love that for me.  I’d be totally cool with that.”
“You know,” Perona thought, “That doesn’t sound like a half bad idea.”
“Hold on, hold on,” Buggy chimed in, “What do you mean, that doesn’t sound like a half bad idea?  You’re saying you’d take a weenie like the pretty boy cook over someone like, say, Crocodile or Mihawk?”
“In a heartbeat,” Perona nodded, “First of all, Mihawk’s like my dad, so…Uh…Ew.  And Crocodile’s not my type.  Don’t get me wrong.  I love a good size difference, but I’m not looking to get split in half.  No offense, YN.”
“None taken.” You understood.  Someone like Crocodile wasn’t for everyone.  You, on the other hand, weren’t opposed to being split in half.
“Especially since I know he’s packing a family sized soup can down there now.”
“Thank you, Perona,” Buggy squeezed his eyes shut, hoping to suffocate the mental image of Crocodile naked out of his head.  There was no way he wouldn’t have been terrifying to see, “The last thing I want to think about is Crocodile’s trouser snake.”
“It definitely does the job,” you confirmed.
“YN!”
Perona laughed hysterically, rocking herself back and forth above the island, “Oh, YN.  I love you so much.  You’re the best and the worst and that might be the best part about you.”
“It’s what I’m here for,” you giggled with her, “But yeah.  That’s how that would work for me.  What about you, Perona?”
“What about me, Perona?” Perona asked, coming down from her high.
“Same question,” you retaliated, “Fuck, marry, kill.  Zoro, Sanji, Luffy.”
“Let’s see…” Perona thought it over, ‘Probably…Fuck male wife, marry stretchy, kill Zoro.”
“Give me your reasoning,” you insisted, “Show your work.”
“Alright,” Perona obliged, “Fuck Sanji because…What the hell?  Why not?”
“He is not hard to look at,” you agreed, “Go on.”
“Marry Luffy because he’s kind of a cutie,” Perona pointed out, “Tell me I’m wrong.”
“You’re wrong,” Buggy grumbled.
“You’re just jealous that I won’t touch you,” Perona argued, “And kill Zoro, so I can bring his earrings back as a trophy for Mihawk and claim my rightful place as his favorite.  Not that I’m not there already.  And let’s be honest.  If I brought Zoro’s earrings back, I’d be stealing them before the day was over.  At least one of them.”
“Love you, too, Perona,” Zoro wandered in and cracked the fridge open.
“Wait,” Perona blinked a couple times in total disbelief, “Zoro, when the hell did you get here?  What?  Did you try to find the bathroom on the Sunny and take a wrong left turn?”
“Very funny,” Zoro rolled his eyes, “No.  Mihawk let me in.  He said I could have a snack before bed.”
“Does that mean the rest of the crew is here, too?” Perona wondered.
“And I know you want to sleep with my crewmates?” Zoro grabbed a bottle of water out of the fridge, “Yeah.  They’re all on the dock.  But I’m just here to check in with Mihawk.  You know how he worries.”
“I don’t want to sleep with your crewmates,” Perona clarified, “We were playing a simple game of fuck, marry, kill.  And we happened to get some of your crewmates.”
“Who brought it up?”
Perona hated that she was backed into a corner, but she conceded anyway, “I might have.”
“And?” Zoro looked over to you.  It wasn’t often he came around and even more scarce when he pays you much attention, “How’d you answer?”
“I didn’t kill you,” you promised.
“I didn’t ask if you killed me,” Zoro sipped his water, “How’d you answer?”
If there was one thing you knew about Roronoa Zoro, it was that he was incredibly protective of his captain.  And if you knew you spared Sanji over Luffy, you wouldn’t be living much longer.  But he could always tell when you were lying, “Fuck you.”
“Fuck you, too,” Zoro scoffed.
“No,” you rolled your eyes while Buggy laughed behind you, immediately catching your attention, “Something to say, Buggy?”
“Sorry, doll,” Buggy brought himself back down, “That wasn’t at you.  You just caught the stray.  It’s just hard to believe that the second greatest swordsman in the world, demon of the East Blue, barely microcelebrity Roronoa Zoro is not the brightest bulb in the spotlight.”
“Fuck you, too, clown,” Zoro snapped at him.
“Zoro,” Perona hushed him, “Go on, YN.  Answer his question.”
“Fuck Zoro, marry Sanji, and…” you braced yourself for whatever came next, “Kill Luffy.”
Zoro unsheathed his sword.  Just a little, “You want to kill Luffy?”
“Settle down, Zoro,” Mihawk came into the kitchen, “Put your toys away.  She doesn’t get to play with you.”
Zoro slipped his sword back in its sheathe.  Although, in a perfect world, he would’ve more than defended his captain.  Until his dying breath if he had to, no matter who decided to get in his way.  And that included you.  So, you were right to be a little leery around Luffy’s guard dog.  But you got up from Buggy’s lap and moved toward Mihawk, getting a little kiss to your forehead, “Hi there, hawk eyes…”
“Hello, darling,” Mihawk pulled you into his side, “Did he frighten you?”
“Of course not.” You were lying.  Zoro scared the hell out of you.  Especially when he got that look in his eye like he was ready to run into a fire and not give the third degree burns a thought.
“You know,” Mihawk nudged you toward the door, “Crocodile’s looking for you.”
It must be his turn, you thought.  Granted, you had Mihawk the night before, but you were more than ok with having Crocodile tonight, “Ok.  Is he in his room or is he in the study?”
“Study,” Mihawk gave you one last kiss, “Go on.  Don’t keep him waiting.”
“Yes, sir.” You left Mihawk to handle his kids and his Buggy while you went up to handle Crocodile.  On your way up the stairs, you were already stretching your jaw.  Because your jaw was about to come unhinged like a snake.
However, when you poked your head into the study, there was no sign of Crocodile aside from the fresh burn mark in the arm of his chair and a pile of scrap yarn on the floor.  Maybe he left, you thought?  So, there could only be one other place he could be.  So, you went down the hall instead.  Sure enough, you could smell a freshly lit cigar coming from Crocodile’s room.  When you first came to Mihawk’s castle, you were told how your sleeping arrangements would go.  You would have your own room, but you would rarely sleep in it.  You would only sleep in it for a week every month.  Mostly because they wanted to make sure you were as comfortable as you could when you were suffering with your regularly scheduled stab wound in your uterus.  But for the rest of the time, you would spend a week in Crocodile’s room, a week in Mihawk’s room, and a week in Buggy’s room.  Tonight was a Crocodile night.
And there he was, laying on his bed, waiting for you, “There you are, Princess…I was wondering when you were going to get here.
‘Looking for me?” you crawled in next to him, letting him wrap his massive arms around you.
“You know it’s my favorite week,” Crocodile left little kisses all over your neck, his teeth gently grazing you, sending chills down your spine.
“It is,” you squirmed underneath him, “Are you going to be gentle with me, Sir Crocodile?”
And Crocodile laughed, “Of course not.”

Epilogue Part One
Three months later...
The airport in San Diego was absolutely overrun with business travelers and families on summer vacation. It seemed like there were people rushing in every direction, trying to catch connecting flights or grab their luggage and go. But Jake was in no hurry at all. He'd just left the laidback state of Texas. Tomorrow was Saturday. His girlfriend was on term break.
In fact, he missed his luggage going around the baggage carousel twice because Jessica had her lips pressed to his. "You know," he murmured after the second time, "we would already be home by now if you weren't so damn distracting."
She shook her head. "We have to stop by my apartment on the way and pick up the last few boxes."
Jake smiled. "I know. Then it's official, Baby." Her lease was ending on Monday, and they left those boxes of old textbooks and scientific journals so they could still claim she was going to be moving in, not that she essentially already had. Jake didn't want to make a poor impression on her family, but it turned out he didn't have anything to worry about. And neither did she.
"So Thanksgiving back in Massachusetts and Christmas in Texas," she murmured against his neck as she let her head rest on his shoulder. "We're going to be very busy this year."
"There's no escaping my mom now," he told her. "She's probably already crocheting a Christmas stocking with your name on it. I think she almost evaporated into thin air when she hugged you. Physical proof that her son is dating someone with a PhD who looks like a supermodel nearly took her out."
"Jake," she whined with a laugh. "Supermodels don't wear glasses or read the science joke of the day emails."
"Mine does," he insisted. "There's my bag again. Now can we please go home?"
"Absolutely," she replied as he grabbed his luggage before it could sneak by a third time. "I'm determined to cook an edible dinner one night while I'm off. Plus, I really wanted to spend this week while you're at work organizing all of my stuff at the condo."
He grinned as they exited the airport holding hands. "Actually, you're coming to work with me on Monday."
"I am? For what?"
"Well... that's a bit of a surprise."
---------------------------
Jessica watched Jake stack the three remaining boxes of her things in his arms and carry them out to his truck. She could have only managed to take them one at a time, but he even humored her barrage of questions while he went.
"When are you going to tell me what the surprise is? Will you tell me now? How will I know what to wear to base with you on Monday if you don't tell me what it's for?"
He was silent for the first part of the ride from her old neighborhood as they made their way toward the pacific coast and his condo, and she looked out the window while she tapped her foot anxiously. When he took an unexpected right turn instead of a left, she turned to look at him.
"You really want to know?" he asked, his face just gorgeous in the orange and purple light as the sun finished setting.
"Yes!"
He chuckled. "Well, I thought this would be a fun little celebration of sorts since you found out Brian isn't coming back in the fall. And I think it's something you've been wanting to experience."
Jessica tipped her head back against the headrest and smiled. Advanced Calculus had texted her when they were at the airport in Boston about to fly to Texas, letting her know Brian took a position at the local community college. She wouldn't even have to look at him when her classes started up again next month. She had been so excited, she and Jake had very awkward but enthusiastic sex in the airplane lavatory as they flew over Pennsylvania.
When he pulled his truck off the main road and along the bay, Jessica had to hang on as he drove down an unpaved street as the sky darkened. "Where are we going?" she asked, as they bumped along, driving parallel to a tall fence with barbed wire across the top of it.
"I want to show you something," he muttered, coming to a stop between the rocky bay beach and the fence. "There's the hangar, and there's my jet."
Jessica looked to where he was pointing, and she could barely make out HANGMAN printed across the side of one of the aircrafts. "Oh!" she gasped, realizing she'd never even visited him on base before.
"Come here, and I'll tell you the surprise," he crooned, killing the engine and unbuckling her seatbelt. He coaxed her to his lap and said, "If you want to fly with me on Monday, I got special permission to take you up since you're a physics professor."
"What?!" Jessica's eyes went wide. "Are you serious?"
His smile was soft and genuine as he nodded. "Does that mean you still want to do it?"
"Jake!" She pushed his shoulders back against the seat and shook him slightly as he laughed. "I wrote my PhD thesis on jet propulsion in military aircrafts! Of course I want to fly with you!"
"I know," he drawled as he smirked. "I read your thesis, remember? Barely understood a word, but I did read it."
"Smart Boy," she moaned as she kissed him. "I can't wait for Monday." As she raked her fingers back through his hair, his hands came to rest on her hips. She kissed and nipped at him, pausing to say, "I'm so excited."
When Jessica's tongue slipped between his lips, she rolled her hips against him. He groaned and cupped her butt, guiding her to do it again. He was so obviously hard in his jeans now, and she didn't want to wait until they got home. "Feels like you're excited, too," she said with a grin before she licked his lip.
"Fuck, Jessica. If you're like this today, you'll be a mess on Monday after we actually fly together."
She gasped and nodded. "Oh my god. You're right."
"I know I am, Baby. You'll be dripping wet for me by then."
When she clenched around nothing as his hand snaked up the front of her shirt, she admitted, "I already am." She ground down against his cock and whispered, "You know how we had that quickie the other day way out on your parents property?"
Jake moaned and said, "I'll remember that for the rest of my life. Bending you over the tailgate of my dad's old truck."
"Well," she murmured, licking a stripe from his chin slowly back to his ear. "It's pretty dark now. You could bend me over your own tailgate."
Jake's hand was opening his door before she finished her sentence, and he hauled her back behind his truck. He was a little rough, pulling her against him and making her stumble as he dropped the tailgate down. He kissed her lips and rubbed the front of his jeans against hers before he said, "It'll have to be quick again. Before any of the guards drive by."
"Okay," she agreed, and then Jake had her pinned down from behind as she made a surprised noise. She let her head rest on her folded arms as she turned toward the fence. It was now too dark to see the hangar or any of the jets as Jake reached around and undid the front of her jeans. He yanked them down along with her sage green thong before unzipping his own pants and letting his cock rest against her butt.
"You weren't kidding, Smart Girl," he whispered, teasing her clit and running his finger through her slit. "You're soaked."
The evening air was cool on her bare skin, and when he separated her with his long fingers, she shivered for so many reasons. Then he connected them together, plunging inside her as she cried out.
"Shhh," he warned, and she bit her lip. "Be a good girl. I'll make it fast."
"Oh god," she groaned softly, her whole body bouncing against the tailgate with each of his rapid thrusts. She couldn't stop the little grunts and needy sounds she made for him every time his hips slammed into her butt, but he was moaning her name softly too as he fucked her.
He just went harder and harder, and Jessica had to hold onto the tailgate with quivering fingers as he hit the spot that made her shake for him. "Jake," she whispered as he leaned down over her back as she came. But he wasn't done yet.
His voice was rough like the gravel beneath her feet. "I love you. I love fucking you. I can't wait to take you home. I can't wait to fly with you." He grabbed her hips and drove himself deep as she continued to clench softly around him, and then he came too. And this time she had to remind him to be quiet.
"Jake, you're so loud," she warned as his thrusting grew shallow. "And I see headlights," she hissed.
"Fuck," he growled, pulling out of her and sending his cum dribbling down the insides of her thighs as she yanked up her underwear and jeans. There was definitely a security vehicle headed past the hangar on some sort of patrol route. "Let's get out of here," he said, pulling her toward the driver's side door.
Jessica scampered inside, barely making it to the passenger seat before Jake had the engine roaring to life and the truck shifted into reverse. Deftly and with a smile on his face, he reversed back down the bumpy road like it was nothing. "That was a little close," he said as he slowed down before making it back to the pavement.
She bit her lip and said, "What if I said I kind of love tailgate quickies?"
He glanced at her as he slowed at a stop sign. "Well then I would say I'll come up with a list of places we can sneak off to."
Her hand stroked his thigh as she said, "Get to work on that."
-------------------------
The fact that Jake managed to pull this off after weeks and weeks of planning left a smile on his face. On Monday, he watched as Phoenix helped Jessica into a flight suit in the hangar, and then he handed her a helmet. She was grinning at him as she slipped it onto her head. "You look like you're ready to go, Dr. Reed," he said as he fastened it into place for her.
"I'm so ready, Lieutenant Seresin," she replied, bouncing slightly on her booted feet as she ran her fingers along the HANGMAN patch on his own flight suit. "How many Gs do you think we'll hit? Can we roll upside down?"
"Jesus," he laughed. "Next thing you'll be leaving me in the fall to go to flight school."
She pouted and said, "My eyesight is too poor."
He kissed the tip of her nose before picking up his own helmet. "Not to be a WSO."
"Oh my god, Jake! You're right!"
She asked him a million questions in a row as she followed him across the tarmac, and he could only answer about half of them for her. "Why don't you tell me, Reedy," he finally said as she climbed the first rung of the ladder. "You're way smarter than me."
She turned back and looked at him. "Maybe just a little bit. But you know how to do the one thing I'll never get to do. Actually fly this thing!"
He placed a hand on her waist, giving her a squeeze through the rough fabric. "I just want you to relax and enjoy yourself. I'll try to answer any questions you have when we're in bed later. How does that sound?"
She nodded at him as her eyes went wide. "That actually sounds great. Let's go." She then climbed the ladder in record time, leaving Jake laughing on the tarmac before he followed after her.
He would be happy to follow her as long as she would let him.

Jessica Reed is just winning so hard now. Fuck off, Brian. One more filthy part of this story to come. Thanks for reading! And thanks @mak-32 and @beyondthesefourwalls

Neverending Texts
Pairing: Rafe Cameron x Reader
Warnings: N/A
Pronouns: She/Her
Word Count: 0.7K
Summary: Rafe's small crush on his tutor definitely doesn't lead him to text her a little too much.
A/N: Insipred by this post.
Masterlist
Tumblr media
Rafe’s education is not a responsibility Y/N ever expected to have on her plate. However, tutoring seems like a no-brainer for the girl who likes teaching and it is not like she could say no to Ward Cameron. Plus, Ward offered her an insane rate and even though her parents are rich, it is still nice to make her own spending money. Rafe and Y/N’s relationship is odd, to say the least. He always seems to have an interest in her, while she would rather be kept out of his social circle. This dynamic is only intensified by Rafe getting her number to set up tutoring sessions. He’ll often send her random texts that are so out of pocket, but she knows he is trying to invoke a conversation between the two of them. During all hours of the day, she will randomly receive jokes, facts, or gossip from the boy. Her responses were always a single word, not inviting the discussion to go any further. It never deterred him from trying every day though. Her hand shoves the hook through the stitch and the hook grasps onto some yarn to be pulled through. The buzz from her phone freezes her hands. She picks up the device and lets out a breath with a shake of her head. What is your ideal date? Normally, his texts would allow her a one-word answer; however, this one can’t be answered as such and she feels bad if she ignores it.
She takes a second to think about her reply. Baking pizza with extra mushrooms and a movie night. Maybe watch rom-coms. She sets her phone back on the desk and goes back to her crochet project.
———
He is pleasantly surprised she gives a thoughtful answer to the text. It seems his tactic of open-ended questions has worked. It doesn’t shock him that her idea of a prime date is something more intimate. Y/N has always been more reserved, so it makes sense she would prefer one-on-one time with her date. He likes that. That sounds like the perfect date, except for the extra mushrooms. We’ll have to only put it on half of the pizza.
Who said you were invited?
He chuckles at her retort and shakes his head. Why is there someone else you are dying to go out with? He holds his breath at her reply, not wanting her to say what he thinks she might. The little bubble with three dots displays her effort to rejoin. It stops eventually and no new words appear in a new bubble. He bites the corner of his lips as his thumb hovers over the button. He decides to bite the bullet, bringing the phone to his ear. It dials three times before she picks up. “Wow, moving on to phone calls to tell me your random thoughts. You really are getting more persistent, Cameron,” she teases. He can hear something clatter on the other end, “Can you blame a guy for wanting to hear your voice, Teach?” She giggles with a sigh. “What did you need?” she urges. He shrugs, “I told you. I just wanted to hear your voice. I also wanted you to answer my question and to hear if you are lying.” “Why do you care so much?” she questions, rolling her eyes.
“Because if you don’t have anyone else on your mind, then I was hoping I could be the one to take you on that date.”
“I have no one else, but why me? What makes me so special in your mind?”
“You just have this je ne sais quoi to you that I can’t get out of my mind. We just click, Teach, and I know you can’t deny it.”
———
She traces the surface of her desk with her crochet hook as she tries to focus on his words. “I know you can’t deny it.” She would never admit she felt the spark he was talking about. It’s been something she tries to bury deep inside of herself because their personality dynamic would not make sense. Rafe likes all eyes on him and to be as loud as possible, whilst Y/N enjoys a quiet night in. The more she thinks about it, the faster her heart starts to beat, telling her to say yes. Yes to a chance at love. Yes to opening herself up to someone else. Yes to stepping outside of her comfort zone. “Okay, let’s go on a date.”

°•°•°•○🌑○•°•°•°
The moment Y/n got the text from her college best friend Feyre, Y/n knew having picked up crocheting as a hobby was the best thing she could ever have done.
Exaggerating aside, she was excited when Feyre asked her if she wanted to reconnect after two years of not talking, and Y/n said yes without hesitation.
They hadn’t talked much, only ever interacting with each other’s instagram posts and stories. Feyre was too busy most of the time painting and opening her own gallery to display her art, taking commissions sometimes and travelling with her fiance.
And even though Y/n had wanted to stay in touch, being an upcoming writer, she did not get too much time to talk as she was busy writing all the time, and when she wasn’t, she was lying in bed wondering why she was in a slump.
Hence, she had picked up crocheting as a new hobby and made some pretty cute tops, imagining herself wearing them to a beach or somewhere pretty. She had been thinking of going somewhere as a vacation to clear her mind.
Which was why when Feyre suggested flying to some beach island her fiance owned for a little getaway with friends, Y/n could not contain her excitement.
Now as she stood in the middle of her bedroom, trying to pick between the two outfits in her hand, wondering which one to wear, she wished she had a boyfriend. Or a husband. Or something. She had always been an indecisive person, and at moments such as this, she wished someone could help her pick her outfits.
Feyre was probably on her way and here Y/n stood, wondering which one to wear and which one to put in her bag to wear the next day.
Ughh fuck me.
Finally, she settled on a pastel pink cardigan and a white halter top with a white bell bottom jeans. She wanted to make a good impression on Feyre’s new friends and decided that the safer option was better. She could wear the other one after she got more comfortable with them.
She had never even met Feyre’s fiance. The two had met and gotten engaged after Y/n and Feyre drifted apart, but Y/n had congratulated her friend on her insta post, so surely that counted as something?
Now that reminder had her reconsidering. Was going vacationing with people she did not know really the best idea?
I mean, what if one of them is a serial killer? What if one of them is suicidal and kills us all-
Maybe she should just cancel.
She was eyeing her phone, genuinely wondering if she should go, when the screen lit up and Feyre’s name flashed across the screen, the soft lilting sound of Y/n’s ringtone filling the air.
So it was decided. Y/n was going.
Y/n answered the call while simultaneously shouldering her bag. "Hello?"
Feyre’s excited voice screeched in her ear from the other end. "Y/n! I’m under your apartment now. Are you ready?"
Instantly, her mood became better and Y/n wondered why she ever considered refusing to go in the first place. Even if she was a stranger to Feyre’s friends, she still had Feyre. She was sure it wouldn’t be as awkward as she was expecting it to be.
Straightening, she glanced around her room for a final time before nodding to herself, confirming that she was not forgetting anything. "Yes, babe. As ready as I’ll ever be. I’m coming down."
Feyre squealed, and Y/n could hear chuckles from the background at her friend’s antics. "I can't wait!"
With that, Y/n ended the call and walked out of her apartment, closing the door behind her, focusing on the jingle of her keychain and not on the nervousness running through her veins.
Soon, as she walked out of the elevator on the ground floor, she spied two dark cars waiting outside. It made her hurry. The moment she exited, she spied her friend leaving the car, grinning.
Feyre ran the short distance to Y/n, throwing all her body weight onto her friend, making Y/n giggle.
"Calm down Fey! I’m not going anywhere."
Feyre pulled away with a wide grin, shaking her head, then grabbed Y/n’s hand and dragged her back to the car she had exited.
"We're a total of ten people, five in that car-" she pointed to the one standing behind the one she had exited- "and five of us in this one." Y/n nodded, trying to calm her nerves.
Feyre then got in, leaving Y/n to get in the back. Feyre’s fiance was sitting in the driver’s seat, black aviation glasses perched on his nose. He offered Y/n a warm smile and a wave before Feyre piped up.
"Y/n, this is my fiance Rhysand. That is Azriel, Rhys’s foster brother and his girlfriend, Gwyneth."
Y/n dipped her head in a polite nod to the couple sharing the back seat with her, but Gwyneth had no qualms about hugging Y/n. Y/n was surprised to say the least by the sudden affectionate action, but she returned it nonetheless with a wide grin.
"Nice to meet you all."
"Everyone, this is my best friend from university, as well as my then roommate, Y/n."
Azriel gave her a tiny smile, his loving gaze returning to his girlfriend not a moment later.
It made Y/n want to go aww, because if that was not pure love right there, then Y/n did not know what was. It made her long to have someone of her own.
Rhys started the car, and the first ten minutes passed in comfortable silence. And then Feyre spoke.
"So, Y/n. Please tell me you’re seeing someone."
Y/n sighed. "You would’ve been the first person to know had I been."
Feyre twisted to glare at Y/n.
"What?"
"Why are you still single?"
"Haven’t found the one yet."
Feyre contemplated for a moment, then grinned. "You know, I’ve got a friend-"
"Not again Feyre!" Y/n turned to Gwyneth. "You know, she would send me on dates with these random dudes every day-"
"Not every day!"
Y/n glared at her friend in jest. "Only because I bullied you to leave me alone."
Feyre sighed dramatically, then plopped back into her seat. "You’re mean."
Gwyn snickered. "Why did you not end up with any of them then?"
Y/n shook her head solemnly. "They were all either too arrogant or ugly."
That made everyone laugh, and finally, Azriel spoke up. "And how did you find so many guys, Feyre?"
Y/n perked up. "I want to know too! I always wondered if she went to asylums to get me a worse specimen than the last."
"Oh my god Y/n, they were just guys from our university and the neighbouring ones."
Y/n smiled. It was fun being around her friend again. It felt like the never stopped talking, picking up from where they left off.
"You know, we’ve got three single people in the other car."
Y/n dropped her head in her palm, and Gwyn cackled.
"Come on Y/n, they’re not that bad. One of them is a guy, but the other two are women. You can experiment if that’s what you want. Maybe that’s the reason you never connected with any guys I set you up with."
Y/n made a crying face and leaned her head against Gwyn, who continued to vibrate with silent laughter. "God help me."
Eventually, Feyre dropped the topic, ending up talking about random nonsense after that. Azriel also chimed in sometimes, but mostly it was either Feyre and Rhysand talking and Gwyn and Y/n laughing and giving unwanted commentary.
They had to take two helicopters to the island, which had Y/n wondering just how big of a jackpot Feyre had gotten engaged to. The ride to the beach home from the helipad after was again two cars.
While boarding the helicopter, Y/n had spied the other friends of Feyre and Rhysand getting out of their car, but she had averted her gaze when the redheaded man had turned to look, hoping she didn’t seem like a creep while she had been trying to take a look at their faces.
The ride to the beach house, as they called it, was silent because Y/n, Gwyn and Feyre dozed off for most of it, already tired after so much travelling. And before they knew it, the midday sun shone through the windows of the car as it finally stopped in the gated compound of a mansion that looked straight out of architectural digest.
Y/n could not stop gaping at it as she got out of the car, then turned to hold the door open for Gwyn.
"It’s so big and beautiful." Gwyn commented, her eyes too fixed on the two story structure. Y/n shot her a knowing look.
"I know right? Only seen stuff like this in the movies."
The two shared a giggle before Azriel joined them on their side and the trio followed Rhysand and Feyre to the main doors.
Rhysand had just climbed the top step when the doors opened, two ladies with long black hair cascading down their backs standing behind them, and Y/n decided that they were twins.
"Nuala, Cerridwen." Rhysand nodded at them with a smile, then turned to the people standing behind him when the twins left.
"I think it’s best if we freshen up and rest for some time before dinner."
The tall guy who had been driving the other car sighed dramatically, burying his head in Nesta’s shoulder. "Thank god, I am tired."
Nesta rolled her eyes, then smiled at Y/n. Being Feyre’s roommate, Y/n had met Nesta on multiple occasions and admired the woman a lot. Nesta, too, had always looked after Y/n like a sister when the three would go out to dinner.
"Y/n. How are you?"
Y/n dipped her head, then stepped forward and pulled Nesta into a hug. "I’m good. Your fiance?"
Nesta nodded, glancing at the hulk of a man. "This is Cassian. Cass, this is-"
"Y/n, heard a lot ‘bout ya." He grinned, extending his hand for a shake.
Y/n smiled at him, then turned back to Nesta and Feyre as the latter began speaking. "Y/n, this is Elain, my other sister. Mor, Rhysand’s cousin, and Lucien, my friend."
After everyone had been introduced, all of them retreated to their rooms. It seemed like they had these outings a lot, because the way everyone was so familiar with the layout of the house would have been uncanny had this been their first time here.
Except for Lucien. He seemed a little hesitant, lingering back with Y/n as everyone else left. But then Feyre directed the two to the upper floor, where two guest rooms were waiting for them.
The rooms were next to each other, so Y/n and Lucien were together till the very last moment. It gave Y/n a lot of time to admire the man’s attractiveness through stolen glances, and she wished it did not for she was not able to control the movement of her jaw that kept unhinging every chance it got at the sheer beauty of him.
Gosh, if he is the guy Feyre wants to set me up with, I am truly going to be blessed.
As the two finally reached the top step, Lucien glanced at Y/n.
"First time here?"
"Yup. In fact, I’m seeing Fey for the first time since we finished uni."
His brows rose. "Damn. How long has it been?"
She shrugged noncommittally. "Around two years. What about you? Your first time too?"
He nodded, then paused at the first door to meet her eyes when he answered. "I’ve recently started getting along with her family." he thought for a moment, then leaned closer, as if letting her in on a secret. "I was actually the friend of her previous boyfriend, but none of them liked him and so they didn’t trust me much either. But now they’re moving on and so am I."
Y/n did not know how to respond to that, trying to wrap her mind around how anyone could be mad at someone who seemed as nice as Lucien. But he spared her the struggle.
"That’s a nice cardigan. Where’d you get it from?" His eyes travelled down her body, his gaze appreciative as it landed on the pastel crocheted garment. "Maybe I could get a similar one. We can match."
Y/n blinked at him, then ducked her head, futilely trying to hide her blush.
"Um, I made it myself."
He remained silent for a moment, prompting her to meet his gaze once again.
"You’re kidding."
She blinked again. "Why would I?"
He huffed out a laugh, leaning back against the doorframe. "So, you’re telling me you’re pretty and talented?"
Y/n could not move if she wanted to. She could not think. She could not do anything but stare at him.
This man, one who looked like he belonged on the cover of vogue, was telling her she was pretty?
God help me.
She looked around, flustered by the tiny smile blooming on his face, cocky but also knowing. He knew the effect he had on her and the damned man was enjoying it too much.
"Well, I will let you rest now. After all, you need to get some energy back for later tonight."
If those words had come from anyone else, Y/n would have wondered if they were saying she looked tired and like shit, but coming from him, the words were nothing but caring, if a touch flirtatious.
Wait, was that an innuendo?
She did not have time to dwell on that part much before he stepped aside, swiping his arm toward the door behind him. "Take a look at both rooms, then pick one you want. I will wait."
Y/n dipped her head, trying not to blush even more when he opened the door for her and leaned back, letting her pass.
She was much too flustered to even look around the room, let alone see if she liked it or wanted the other room, so she just mumbled to him that she will stay in this one, that he could take the other room.
Y/n knew he was about to ask her if she was sure, but whatever he saw in her face had him nodding, stepping back out of the room, tugging the door close with him as he went.
"See you soon, sweetheart." His parting words were heavy with the same knowing lilt he had a few minutes back when he had been flirting with her. It made Y/n’s cheeks heat up, and she turned to the bed, plopping down and burying her face in the plush pillows.
He was flirting with me.
Maybe… Feyre was right about him. Maybe I should give him a chance.
°•°•°•○🌑○•°•°•°
After a light lunch and a few hours of rest, everyone had simultaneously gathered in the living room as if summoned by a silent command. Y/n had tried to sleep, and had accomplished the feat, but at the cost of tossing and turning every five minutes for an hour, her mind refusing to let her wind down and repeatedly playing the memories of Lucien flirting.
At least, she thought he was flirting. Y/n hoped she was not making a fool of herself for thinking that he was flirting while he simply was being kind.
She had gotten all of two hours of sleep before she shoved the covers off of her and decided to take a shower to freshen up, then she had proceeded to don a flowy sundress and walked downstairs. The hallways were empty, the only sign that she was not alone being the twins in the kitchen. They offered Y/n a smile before introducing themselves, then asked her if she needed anything.
Y/n had thought about it, then shook her head, telling them she just wanted to get some water. They graciously handed her a glass of it, despite her protests, and then they left her to her own devices.
She had just been sipping on it while staring at the sun setting when footsteps behind her let her know she was no longer alone, and she turned to look at Morrigan and Elain, who had walked down together. They offered her a smile, then sat along with her at the counter in swivelling chairs, the quiet comfortable and peaceful.
That was, before Cassian decided to grace them with his presence.
"Are Feyre and Rhys still not here?"
Y/n blinked, tearing her eyes away from the now violet horizon, barely any sliver of light visible, and gave him a smile. "Not yet."
He gagged. "They’re probably doing nasty stuff."
Nesta walked in with Gwyn and Azriel behind her, her eyebrows high.
"Like you don’t fuck."
He glared at Nesta. "Can you be a little more crass? I am trying to make new friends here."
Y/n hid her smile behind her cup, but considering it was a clear glass, she did not think it would work very well.
"So Y/n, what do you do during free time?"
Y/n set her now empty cup aside, turning all her attention to Cassian, who was done bickering with his fiance.
"I do crocheting while listening to podcasts, or I read when I just want to wind down. I also write."
He nodded appreciatively. "So you’re a creative person, huh."
"And she has a very pretty smile too."
Y/n felt her cheeks heating up already when she heard Lucien’s voice, but when she finally comprehended what he had said, she wondered if she’d just melt off.
God. Please, help me.
She tried not to meet his eyes, because even knowing him for barely a few hours, she knew he’d give her a knowing smirk, his eyes bright.
Cassian chuckled, and Y/n could feel everyone’s eyes on her.
Fuck.
Thankfully, Feyre and Rhysand finally arrived and took the attention away from her, and she felt like she could finally breathe again.
The couple asked what everyone wanted for dinner, bickering around for a few moments while Lucien, Elain, Azriel and Y/n watched.
Before long, Mor announced she was craving some barbecue, and when no one argued further, Rhys told everyone to gather on the back porch that faced the beach while he got the things out. When Y/n offered to help along with Feyre and Gwyn, Rhysand just told them to sit back and relax.
And then he dragged the other men with him.
Guess they won’t be getting any relaxing time.
The night passed almost too quickly to be natural, and Y/n already felt like she’d known these people for her whole life. Nesta and Gwyn refused to let anyone else talk to her because they were too busy asking her of all the books she’d read and inquiring whether she was planning on publishing.
Y/n could see Feyre pouting in the corner, but eventually Mor engaged her in a conversation, so Y/n’s guilt at not being able to give her friend enough time subsided.
When Nesta and Gwyn finally got distracted, Y/n leaned back, taking in the cool air when her neck prickled. Looking around, she met the gaze of Lucien from over the glowing barbeque, her cheeks flushing even when he hadn’t said or done anything. But he continued to look at her, the slightest tilt to those inviting lips.
Smug bastard.
When everything was cooked, Rhys called everyone to the outdoor dining table, the wood rich but warm, homey.
Y/n found two seats next to Gwyn, who beckoned her over. She smiled and had just settled down next to her new friend when she realised someone was sitting down next to her on the empty seat.
And it was not Feyre.
Mismatched eyes found her surprised gaze, and Lucien grinned at her.
"Lucien! That was my seat!"
He held eye contact with Y/n for a long moment before turning to a fuming Feyre. "Well, you can sit on my lap, darlin’. But I am already too comfortable in this seat to move."
Feyre huffed, the perfect picture of annoyance. But Y/n could see the glint in her eyes that told her that Feyre was having way too much fun right now watching Y/n blush.
When Feyre turned away to pout at her grinning fiance, Lucien leaned close to Y/n. "Or maybe, you can sit on my lap and I can give this seat to Feyre?"
Y/n turned away, trying to hide the warm flush on her skin at that. "I think Feyre will find herself another seat."
He chuckled quietly but let the topic go after that.
In the end, Feyre sat at the seat on the right of the head seat of the table, next to Lucien. Rhysand sat at the head, opposite Azriel, who occupied the seat on the other side of Gwyn, refusing to leave her side.
Everyone started to serve themselves, but just as Y/n was contemplating what to get, Lucien leaned past her, his scent enveloping her along with his warmth, and grabbed some grilled chicken.
"Try this, it’s good." With that, he put a few pieces on her plate, then continued to serve himself. He seemed so nonchalant, so careless as if he hadn’t just set Y/n’s heart on fire.
Like he wasn’t the reason she could not think straight.
°•°•°•○🌑○•°•°•°
Y/n did not know how the days passed so quickly. Agreed, it was a four day getaway, and yet it felt like barely any time passed and it was already the day they had to return home.
If she had to be honest, she did not want to leave the bed. Her limbs felt like they were tied down, heavy metal placed on top to stop her from moving. She felt so tired, as if her body was trying to stay here just a little longer, and maybe being tired would get her to stay.
Which was the reason why she forced herself to push off the covers and set her legs on the cold, wood floor and traipsed sleepily towards the window to check if she had missed the sunrise again. She had been wanting to watch it since they all arrived, but every day for the past three days, she had slept away without a care.
She’d had to set an additional alarm to wake up earlier.
The sky outside was dark, almost blue. But she knew dawn wasn’t far off.
She hurried to freshen up, then walked down the stairs to get herself a glass of water.
After she had acquired her drink, she stepped out and settled down on the two seater swing on the back porch, under her own room’s balcony. The air was chilly, but not enough to have her want to get up and bring a shawl or something to keep herself warm.
She also felt really lazy as she began sipping on her water slowly.
Gosh, I love water.
She refrained from drinking anything that was not water or milk.
She was also lactose intolerant, but, who really cares about that.
Y/n had just leaned back, wrapping both her hands around her cup when she heard movement behind her. But she let herself relax, knowing it probably was Lucien.
That was one of the many things she’d learned about him in the past days.
He always woke up at dawn. He apparently then did some light gym when he could before breakfast, to keep himself in that drool worthy body.
His words, not mine.
Okay… Maybe mine.
And maybe, just maybe, Y/n had wanted to witness her first ever sunrise, had wanted to wake up earlier even though she disliked being up early just so she could spend some extra time with him.
Maybe.
It didn’t take him long to settle down beside her, his own cup of steaming beverage in hand. It looked like green tea to Y/n, who’d had experience with making it for her father nearly every day.
"Good morning." His voice was rough, the sleep evident in it.
Don’t blush, don't blush. He’s just said good morning.
She blushed. Just a little. "Morning."
"Sleep well?"
Y/n nodded, watching him from her peripherals as the swing dipped slightly with his added weight.
"Still sleepy though. First time I woke up by myself to watch the sunrise." She paused for a moment, glancing at him. His lips were curled to one side as he stared out over the beach, his gaze fixated to the horizon. She shrugged. "Usually it’s by my family dragging me and bullying me into waking up early."
He huffed out a chuckle, but after that let silence settle between them.
The air was so peaceful, it brought a sense of calm over Y/n.
Maybe she could get used to this.
The two sat and watched as the sun rose, so slowly but also too fast. Y/n wished to enjoy this time forever, wanted to continue taking in the soft orange and pink hues that painted the sky as the glowing ball of fire rose higher in the sky. Wanted to bask in the presence that nestled into the pillows next to her, wanted to ink the sound of his soft breathing permanently into her existence.
It was over too soon, and even though Y/n savoured every second of it, she could not help but feel a sense of longing the moment Lucien straightened. She did not want to let go of this moment just yet.
He seemed to think so too.
Just when she thought he’d get up and walk back inside, he turned his head to stare at her.
"So, who’s the cute guy you were talking about last night with Fey?"
Y/n’s lips quirked up, a sudden burst of boldness spurring her on. But she paused as she thought back to Feyre’s words the previous night.
"Do you like him?"
"I don’t know what you’re talking about."
"Oh please, I see the way you blush when he’s near. I see the way he follows you around like a lost puppy. I am not naive, sweet pea."
Y/n sighed. "I guess he’s cute."
Feyre squealed. "You need to go on a date with him."
If Y/n gave him the truthful answer, would she be making a fool of herself? Would she be doing herself the biggest favour ever? Did he even like her that way?
Finally, she decided that if she never tried, she might regret it later.
Feeling her gaze on him, she turned, knowing he waited for her answer. He sported a cheeky grin, eyes half lidded, as if he was more relaxed than he’d ever been.
She leaned in conspiratorially.
"You."
His grin faded, and he sat up straighter.
"What?"
"You’re the cute guy we were talking about."
He blinked, and Y/n did her best to hide her smug smile at the way his ears darkened with colour.
"Are you joking or flirting?" he mumbled, brows furrowed.
Oh, so he can flirt, but can’t take the flirting?
She told herself to remember that tidbit for later.
Y/n could not help it then. She let loose the smirk that broke out of her, and leaned closer still, so close that she could feel his breath on her face, so close that she knew that if she were to inhale, his lingering cologne from the previous day would take over every one of her senses.
Maintaining eye contact, she whispered.
"Flirting."
He did not move anything except for his eyes as she stood, his gaze following her like a physical caress. Just before she turned the corner out of his eyesight, she glanced back at him.
And winked.
She watched as a disbelieving grin formed on his lips, and then decided that was enough flirting for a year at least and ascended the stairs back to her room.
Feyre will lose her mind.
As soon as she closed the door behind her, she no longer felt that burst of confidence that came out of nowhere. Suddenly, she was a blushing mess as she shoved her face into the pillows and tried to calm her racing heart.
Her phone pinged then.
Feyre: ‘Lucien just texted me asking for your number. Is it okay if I give it?’
Y/n bit her lip to keep away the flustered smile. Just as she told Feyre to give it to him, she texted back.
Feyre: ‘Is there something I need to know? Why are you up so early anyway?’
Y/n decided that was enough. Feyre could wait.
Who’s the cute guy?
You.

It was no secret, like...seriously. No secret.
It was bad enough the whole team knew, but once the entire office started catching on...(Y/N) could barely enter the same room as Reid before someone made a teasing comment.
Yet somehow, someway, Spencer Reid still had zero clue that (Y/N) (Y/L/N) had the biggest crush on him.
It really did start out as just an innocent crush. The way Spencer constantly seemed to gravitate towards (Y/N)'s cubicle, the way he always seemed to agree with (Y/N)'s profiles or the way Hotch constantly paired the two up when working a case.
So if you really thought about it, it was technically all Hotch's fault.
He had to have known that (Y/N)'s already budding affection for the Spencer would turn into something other than platonic.
It wasn't unjustified of (Y/N) to have a crush, I mean how could someone not have a crush on the infamous Dr. Spencer Reid?
From his charming smile, to that stupidly adorable satchel he carried around...(Y/N) honestly should've quit the first day she saw him if she wanted any chance of making it out alive.
And yet, no matter how many times he walked up to her desk to ask her opinion on a case. The crush only grew stronger.
The team certainly didn't help either.
"He never asks for my opinion on cases." Derek teased, leaning over (Y/N)'s cubicle wall. A cup of joe grasped tightly in his hand.
Before (Y/N) could answer, Emily chimed in. "Me neither!"
Both Derek and Emily looked towards Garcia who was on her way back to her 'BatCave' after dropping some files off on Hotch's desk.
"Nope!" She replied, already knowing the question that was soon to be flung at her.
Well that certainly had to mean something. (Y/N) couldn't help but feel heat rise to her cheeks as she realized just how often Spencer came clambering over to her desk asking about cases and reports.
Derek laughed, patting (Y/N) on the shoulder before returning to the report he'd been dragging his feet on all day.
----
Later that day, as (Y/N)'s workload was down to a few pieces of paperwork and a handful of emails. She found herself waltzing over to Spencer's desk, leaning against the cubicle in an attempt to seem relaxed.
It took a few moments for Reid to realize she was there, but when he did his big brown eyes trailed upwards like a puppy looking to it's owner.
He smiled, opening his mouth to talk but she cut him off beforehand. "Have you had lunch?" She asked boldly, mentally she was screaming at herself because of course Spencer had lunch. The man ran on a schedule.
A schedule she knew like the back of her hand.
"Oh! Yeah! I had leftover pad-thai." He smiles, his pen tapping against the desk rhythmically. (Y/N) let out a small "ohh..", trailing off into thought.
Spencer smiled at her, "...Did you need help on a case?" He asked, "No!" She shouted, before clearing her throat.
"No. I um- I wanted to see...if..." (Y/N) took a deep breath before biting the bullet. She was going to do this because she wanted too, because she wanted to spend time with Spencer. Alone.
"I wanted to see if you would be interested in accompanying me to the vending machine." She said, immediately regretting it when Spencer's brows furrowed and his head tilted.
"It's just down the hall?" He questioned, giving (Y/N) a puzzled look. "I don't like the snacks in that one." (Y/N) lied, she actually only liked the snacks in that one.
That totally wasn't the reason she originally wanted to be in the BAU though.
Spencer thought for a moment before he stood up, grabbing his water bottle on the way before waiting for (Y/N) to lead the way.
----
"Y'know, Derek's jealous." (Y/N) joked as they waited for the elevator to meet the bottom floor. "Jealous? Jealous of who?" He asked, his voice hitching like it always did when he asked a question.
"Of me" (Y/N) mumbled, trying to hide her smirk. "...because you don't ask him for help with cases...only me." (Y/N) added, the context causing Reid to laugh softly.
"Seriously? I thought Derek had a much stronger ego than that." He joked, (Y/N) wrinkled their nose up in laughter as the duo stepped out into the lobby of the building. Now in pursuit of the vending machines.
"I like how you format your reports." Reid commented as they turned a corner, in all honesty (Y/N) had zero clue where she was headed but as long as she pretended to be know where she was going, which she was scarily good at, Spencer would follow along.
"Really? Hotch said Strauss complained about them the first few times." (Y/N) remarked, a sense of pride spreading over her chest. Spencer liked the way she wrote her reports.
"It's easy to follow, but still detailed." He complimented, (Y/N) felt their ears turning a light shade of red.
----
After a lot of dead ends ( (Y/N) had words for the person who designed this building.), the duo had finally found the Lobby-Level vending machine.
"Y'know Florida holds the record for the most vending machines." Spencer noted as (Y/N) searched for what she wanted.
"Really?" She entertained. Unlike most of the team, (Y/N) never actually got tired of hearing Spencer's facts and statistics. In fact, she quite enjoyed them.
"Yeah! Texas and California being close runner-ups." He smiled, excited she'd taken interest in the fact he had spewed. "Don't mess with Texas." (Y/N) joked as she dialed in the correct numbers for the treats she wanted.
"That's all your eating for lunch?" Spencer asked, eyebrow raised. "It's not like we're traveling today, I don't need lots." (Y/N) shrugged. "But that's it? Just hot fudge Pop-Tarts and a box of Runts??" Spencer questioned.
"I'll be fine, you worry too much." (Y/N) laughed, picking up their treats and tucking them into her purse. Spencer rolled his eyes as he moved his hair away from his face.
As the two made their way back upstairs, (Y/N) couldn't help but stand a bit closer to Spencer. Even if there was nobody else there.
"Y'know Reid, your the only one I consult on cases too." (Y/N) shared, nervously biting the inside of her cheek as Spencer took a moment to reply.
"I know." Spencer replied, a smile evident in his tone. "Of course you know." (Y/N) teased, stepping out of the elevator.
Spencer laughed, beginning to make his way back over to his desk.
----
A few weeks had passed and Spencer hadn't missed a single trip down to the lobby vending machine.
"Y'know, you don't have to come with me." (Y/N) said, feeling bad she'd dragged Spencer away from his paperwork at least once a day.
"I know, but what if the vending machine like...falls on you?" Spencer joked, though the worry had popped up a few times in his mind. "In what world would that ever happen??" (Y/N) asked as she waited for her box of Runts to fall from the spiral.
"37 deaths happened just in the years 1978-1995." Spencer spewed, causing (Y/N) to roll her eyes. "Well, if that happens to me I promise you can sue to FBI and keep the money." She joked, picking up the boxed candy.
Spencer wrinkled his nose, "I don't want money, I want my coworker." He said. (Y/N) felt their heart beat faster. "Really? You'd take me over winning a lawsuit and getting rich?" She asked, eyes meeting his as he leaned against the wall.
"(Y/N), if I wanted to be rich I'd play more poker." He joked, causing (Y/N) to stifle a laugh. "It's still sweet." She mumbled, causing a light pink blush to spread across Spencer's face.
Holy Shit. She'd done it.
After working for him for over three years, after tirelessly trying to flirt with the man. She'd gotten Dr. Spencer Reid to blush.
Spencer blinked a few times before taking a deep breath, "Uh- are you going to Rossi's after work?" He asked, obviously trying to switch the subject.
(Y/N) didn't answer. Still flabbergasted over the fact Spencer Reid blushed because of her.
Spencer waited a reply, switching between glancing over at her and up to check the how many floors until they reached theirs.
"...(Y/N)?" He asked, his tone turning to one of concern.
Maybe it was the fact that (Y/N) had been surviving off of vending machine food for lunch everyday just to spend time with Spencer.
Or maybe it was the fact she'd waited 3+ years to get a blush out of Spencer.
Either way it didn't matter, because (Y/N)'s mouth started speaking before she could determine if what she was saying was a good idea.
"I like you." She said, there was no taking it back now. Not even the butterflies that instantly appeared in her stomach could take away what she'd just said.
Spencer's brow furrowed.
"Three. Years." She breathed. "I have liked you for over three years, Spencer." She said, her voice more confident now.
"(Y/N)-" Spencer's eyes glanced at the electronical sign that told him what floor they were on just for a moment before snapping back to her eyes.
"Over three years, I have...flirted with you, bought you gifts, I learned how to play chess." (Y/N) listed off on her fingers, the butterflies in her stomach turning to wasps.
"You love chess?" He said, tilting his head in confusion.
"THAT'S WHAT YOU CARE ABOUT?" (Y/N) yelled, "I hate chess. It's the most boring board game there is. My favorite board game is CANDYLAND." (Y/N) continued.
"I have put my love life on pause for over three years." (Y/N)'s voiced filled the elevator.
"For, you." She continued.
Her voice was so powerful, so full of frustration and desire that neither of the Agents heard the elevator 'Ding!' nor the door open.
"Spencer Reid you are the smartest idiot I have ever met." She finished, taking a deep breath.
The silence that followed was so thick, it couldn't have been cut with a butter knife.
"...I like you too, (Y/N)." Spencer muttered out, a deep shade of red overtaking his face.
Cheers.
Spencer and (Y/N) whipped their head towards the elevator doors, finally realizing that they'd opened.
There Derek and Garcia stood, cheering. Derek's arm in the way of the doors closing as Garcia excitedly bounced up in down spewing out excited nonsense. "Finally! Finally!" She cheered, her hair bouncing excitedly.
(Y/N)'s face turned hot with embarrassment as she looked between all three of her colleagues. Spencer's face was still red, but it was unclear for what reason.
(Y/N) pushed past both Garcia and Derek. Making a beeline for her desk, grabbing her car keys and rushing to the stairwell because the elevators were still too crowded.
"(Y/N)! Wait!" Spencer called after her, his lanky legs struggling to keep up. Reid didn't think he'd ever seen her run this fast in the field.
(Y/N), of course did not wait.
----
After both Garcia and Emily confirmed that (Y/N) hadn't quit her job out of pure embarrassment, all that was left to do is wait.
Hotch informed Spencer that (Y/N) would be coming back to work after a week, she'd used a whole sick week just to avoid the embarrassment.
Well, a week was up and Spencer was pacing by his desk looking at both the clock on the wall and his watch as if that would make time go by any faster.
Thankfully, the bundle of flowers he picked up from the supermarket yesterday hadn't begun to wilt. The hot fudge Pop-Tarts and box of runts were waiting patiently for (Y/N) to walk out of the elevator any second.
Spencer, however, was not waiting as patiently. "Kid, if you walk in one more circle your gonna tear the carpet." Derek mumbled, not taking his eyes away from the paperwork.
"What if she took another week off? What if she really did quit-"
DING!
Spencer's eyes immediately met yours as soon as you stepped into the bullpen. Then, he watched as your eyes trailed down to the flowers and treats he'd displayed on your desk.
A sweet smile was shared between the two of you. Spencer took initiation (it was only fair, you'd only been leading the way for over three years) and walked over to you, ignoring Derek's whispered encouragement.
"Spence, this is so sweet but...I think if I eat one more Pop-Tart I'm gonna actually need a sick week." (Y/N) said, laughing quietly.
"I KNEW IT!" Spencer yelled, causing her laughs to grow louder.
"You really are the smartest idiot I know." She joked, causing Spencer to roll his eyes.
Spencer smiled, "I uh...there's this place I like to go for lunch if-"
"Oh my god, yes." (Y/N) breathed, excitedly holding onto Spencer's arm. Spencer laughed, nodding.
"It's a date."

It's time for the fiend! Spoilers of course
Tumblr media
For one, Syo here actually breaks the formula I have with these designs, Syo not really working or going out most of the time unless she's heavily disguised. However, I tried my best to ensure she was given some love! So, for her "casual" attire, it's rather simple looking. It's got some LORE though with Syo trying to reform from her murdering days and Komaru helping out in making this outfit! Most of the materials are just thrifted such as the boots with the rest being slightly modified. It holds up rather poorly and has it's flaws. However, Syo seems to like it. Toko, not so much. Toko finds it ugly, no matter how much Komaru tries to give her the puppy eyes, asking for Toko to give it a chance. I also want to take note the bracelet she has on as well as the hat. I thought it would also be cute if Komaru made her a little friendship bracelet. Toko also has one but she finds it childish to just be wearing it out an about (she's not really into much jewelry anyway). Thus, Toko just keeps it on her nightstand. Syo, however, fears nothing and has no shame. Speaking of which, the hat. I was a little lazy with the details but it is indeed one of those "Woman love me, Fish fear me" hats. Syo did the embroidery on it (Syo being oddly good with crochet and sewing) and Toko despises. And, the worst part is that Syo did an amazing job on it which makes Toko hate it even more whenever she ends up in it after Syo finishes fronting. Toko's at least a bit grateful though that Syo doesn't go out that much. Toko is already mortified waking up in the outfit. It'd be way worse to be waking up in one of the ugliest garments present in the apartment while in public. As for Syo's "work" attire, it's just Toko's attire for work with slight Syoifications (Jackifications?) made with the zipper being undone revealing a little pouch she has on, and sleaves rolled up. She even has Toko's purse worn slightly different as well! Thought it would be cute to do! Also, for the pouch, Her iconic scissors are absent, being held deep in a vault somewhere with Byakuya as a safety precaution. Syo doesn't mind too much though. For one, she knows they're safe even though she likes to joke that Byakuya's doing unspeakable things with them which he just sighs at. Additionally she's not planning on murdering anyone anymore as I feel she holds pride in her killing SPECIFICALLY with those scissors. So, she wouldn't be using any random pair. But also, her being reformed and all. Besides, the scissors being held in the care of Byakuya it's not because of the potential of Syo starting all over again with the murders anyway. It's more about the potential of the whole "Toko is Genocider Syo and is a serial killer" thing coming out and as a way of showing that Byakuya does care for Toko, aloofness or not. I like to headcanon that, though footage of the Killing game were indeed broadcasted, for one, the Future Foundation were the main people to see it. Additionally, the average civilian would probably not a bit too busy trying to save their own lives than to be keeping up with the news regarding the Ultimate's in Hopes Peak. Not saying that some of that info wouldn't be able to get out. Some of it certainly could have and added to the despair and all. As to regards on where the footage is held, it's with Future Foundation in partner with Byakuya. Perhaps a bit of Kyoko their too and a bit of Makoto as well though I feel all the survivors pitched in on having the say on what to do with it. After all, it IS the recording of all their Hopes Peak trauma, though I don't think they'd want to destroy it oddly enough. This concept of course has room to change but these are the main thoughts Plus, it's fun to think about as, with Syo in the picture in this AU, the concept of whether the people know or don't know about the whole "notorious serial killer Genocider Syo is sorta just an alter of Toko Fukawa" is something that has to be addressed to SOME extent .
Tumblr media
For her physical build, it's just Toko's. What really changes is the undergarments anyway. Though they are not colored her, they are very much bright red, very garish. All of her undergarments are which contrasts with Toko's more frilly and pretty undergarments. One other bit to mention is Syo's hair! It's nothing too crazy, just Toko's hair out of the pony tail and ruffled to high hell! Syo makes it work though.
Tumblr media
That's Syo done! Hope I did her justice! Tried my best ;-; (1) | (6)

Could I request the legion with a reader who does crochet and offer them something they made please?
I believe I can do that. Please enjoy.
With a reader who likes to crochet gifts for them: Legion (Frank, Julie, Susie, Joey)
"Wait, you made this for me?"
Frank will start tearing up a bit.
He's never had somebody make him a gift before.
He's never really received a gift before.
"No! I'm not crying! I got something in my eye!"
He'll try and act like a macho man about it.
But he's actually really grateful.
Intern, he'll try and find something for you.
Something randomly found at a trial.
Something that made him think of you.
"Hey, that's pretty cute."
Julie isn't super loud about her praise.
But she does love whatever it is.
Especially if it's an accessory.
And she'll wear whatever it is out.
A scarf? A hat?
She'll wear it.
She'll wear it proudly.
And if anyone dares say anything bad about it?
"What did you just say? Did you say this looked ugly? I'll make you look ugly when I smash your fucking face in you fucking jackass!"
And she will attack and hurt them.
Hey, she's defending your honor.
"OMG, THAT'S SO CUTE!"
Unlike julie, Susie is very loud about her praise.
Like, really loud.
So loud the whole house could hear her.
And she's squealing over the little crafty made her.
She'll be jumping up and down and showing it off to everyone who will look.
"Yeah, s/o made it for me. Isn't it just adorable?"
She'll brag about it so much that everyone's going to start getting annoyed.
But they also don't have the heart to tell her to stop.
Oh, and you better believe she's going to want you to teach her.
"Then we can make cute things together!"
Joey is kind of a combination of all three.
He may act all nonchalant about it.
He'll Pat your head and thank you.
But on the inside, he's gushing.
Screaming in his head.
"Oh my God, this is so amazing. And they made it for me? I don't have anything for them! Why don't I have anything for them?"
And he's going to search high and low to find something.
Something worthy.
And if anybody says anything bad about it?
"Ha! Dumbass, you're just jealous because I have this bitchin' hat and you've got nothing."
Everything you make for them is put on clear display or worn frequently.
They want everyone to know how amazing you are.

Hot Girls _____ | Chapter One
Fandom: Monsta X
Genre: Technically a slow-burn romance
Pairing: Changkyun x OC
Chapter Word Count: 7.4k
Trope: Friends to fuckbuddies to lovers
The Vibe: Cute girl who wants to feel hot, fuckboi best friend who wants to help because he’s a loyal bestie, sexuality mentorship lolwut, makeover tropes, booze, parties, jealousy, overprotectiveness, sexting, lots of praise with the intent on corruption (in an empowering way?) eheh, ill-fated friends with benefits agreement, best laid plans falling apart as they do, everyone figuring out their shit for the best
Synopsis: Her whole life, Vi’s been known as the cute one, the cherub-cheeked sweetheart who’s got it all together. She’s a good girl, but that doesn’t mean she wants to be, especially when she keeps losing out to the bad ones.
Vi’s best friend, Changkyun, however, is hardly a saint. He’s a consumer of hot girls, chronically unattached and comfortable that way. If anybody knows how to help Vi step out of her shell and take back her confidence, it’s him. It’s a good thing she can always count on her Kyun to step up to the plate.
A/N: Inadvertently wrote myself into another multichapter fic the second I got the Kyun 1st Lookmagazine in my hands. I'll think about that magazine until the day I die, whew. The fuckboi realness was too strong, and I am far too weak. And we already know I can’t fight the best friends to lovers trope, so here we are again.
I really wanted to get this first chapter out on my birthday, but I've had two terrible weeks in a row that just sucked the life out of me, and it's the high season at work, so it's been crushing. I couldn't even be bothered to make a cute banner for this; however, I was NOT going to put this off anymore.
I'll also be posting the first chapter of something else in the near future (so long as there are no more dastardly interuptions. Hope y'all are getting a chance to see Kyun in concert. I'm too much of a chicken to go, but my friends who have said it was incredible. What a man!

Chapter One
It all came down to today.
Vi reapplied her lip gloss, slid her glasses to the bridge of her nose, fluffed out her curly bob, and smoothed the pleats in her skirt one final time. In the company award showcase, she glanced at her ginger complexion dusted liberally with espresso freckles and took a deep breath.
You can do this, Vi. This is what you’ve been working toward for months.
Steeling herself, she turned the corner into Henry’s office. Her coworker looked up from his desk and beamed. “Hey, you. Looking cute today, I see.”
Normally, “cute” was Vi’s most feared word, but coming from Henry, she didn’t mind. “Thanks…”
“I was just thinking about you.”
“You were?” she asked giddily.
“Yeah. Want to go to lunch today?”
“That sounds awesome. When do you want to go?”
Henry glanced at the clock on his monitor and popped an eyebrow. “Five minutes?”
Vi bit her lip to cover her excessive smile. “Yeah, okay, I’ll just get my bag.”
“Meet you downstairs then.”
Despite the fact that Henry hadn’t walked her to her desk, he had asked her to lunch—for the first time ever. Chiseled, square-jawed Henry Williams. Broad, stacked Henry Williams. Tall, honey-voiced Henry Williams. Was. Taking. Viola Flowers. To lunch. She had gone to his office to ask him out, but, miracle of miracles, he had asked her instead. Nothing could touch her now.
Vi grabbed her crocheted cross-body and bounded down the steps to the lobby, where, true to form, Henry waited. His hands were stuffed in his suit pockets, and her brain turned to mush at the sight. She was lucky she remembered how to walk in her platforms because the moment he flashed his cool guy smile at her, the one that rounded out his stubbly jaw, her heart skipped as hard as her toe across the floor.
“You’re fast,” he observed.
“I’m excited.” When her words made it to her ears, heat flooded Vi’s body. “You know me. I love lunch.”
I love lunch? she lamented internally. Gross, Vi. Seriously gross. Ugh.
“Where do you want to go?” she pressed.
Henry craned his head to peer at the sky through the storefront and suggested, “Looks pretty nice out. Want to just walk to the taco truck around the corner?”
She did not. How on earth could she eat a taco and still look attractive? Besides, food trucks didn’t have tables, and she really wanted to share a table with him; staring straight into those deep-as-night eyes would be a dream come true. But Vi said none of that. She couldn’t risk turning him down and losing out on their first-ever lunch, not after investing nearly half a year into her fishing campaign.
“Okay,” she answered.
“Cool. Then we can just grab a seat under a tree or something. Looks like there’s some benches around.”
Vi smiled. Okay, this was better than she’d hoped. Side by side? She could find a way to brush her leg against his. Maybe he’d look down at her bare knee. Maybe he’d accidentally graze it. She was getting ahead of herself, but maybe he’d yank her into the supply closet and pin her up against the door…
Her throat was already closing up at the thought.
“You’re up. Whatever you want, I’m buying,” said Henry with a gentle bump to her shoulder.
Vi didn’t even remember walking to the truck, but it was already her turn to order. On the off chance that the supply closet was in her near future, she ordered a simple quesadilla, though Henry seemed totally unconcerned with such pretenses judging by his extra onions carne asada.
Once they had their lunch, they found a bench under a tree around the corner where the shade was just right to block the noon sun. A few other coworkers buzzed by with waves for them, but Vi was happy to note that she had Henry totally to herself. They chatted through their first bites before he downed his final taco in one big chomp.
“Okay, I can’t wait anymore,” said Henry the second he swallowed. “I know you’re still eating, but I have to ask you something.”
Vi blinked at him, and her oversized eyes had never been bigger.
Henry laughed. “Relax. It’s a good thing—no, a great thing, even.”
She gulped down her bite and smoothed the edges of her skirt as she gnawed on her bottom lip. It took her a second to calm the jumping beans in her stomach, but Vi said, “What’s up?”
“You know, I mean I think you know, that you’re my best friend in the office, right?”
“Oh, um, cool. For sure,” she mumbled as she brushed her buoyant curls forward to hide the nervous expression on her face. “You’re mine, too.”
“Which is why I trust you more than anyone else here. I know you’re a few years younger than I am, but I swear you know more about everything than I do, and you’d never steer me wrong.”
Vi’s excitement fumbled for a minute though she clung as best she could to it. “I try. What’s going on?”
Henry squared up to her then, and at last, her fantasy seemed within her reach. When he swiveled, his knees bumped hers, and he patted the swath of her bare thigh apologetically, sending a rush through her body like someone had blown a huge head of dandelion seeds along her skin. He leaned in a little closer with a dopey grin. He rubbed a hand on the back of his head as his coffee skin glowed in the filtered sunlight.
Here it was, Vi’s favorite trait of his. Henry might be menacingly hot, but he was also a geek at heart, so after he railed into her, she pictured them drifting off to some anime in the background.
Henry cleared his throat. “How soon is too soon to call someone after hooking up?”
What was left of Vi’s quesadilla slipped off her lap and tumbled upside down on the sidewalk. She was too stunned by his question though to pay attention to it.
“What?” she managed through a slack jaw.
Henry glanced at her food and frowned. Since she didn’t make a move for it, he picked it back up and put it between them on the bench. “Uh, Desiree and I hooked up last night, and even though I know you’re not a hook-up kind of girl, you are a girl and I trust you. I’m sure your friends have talked about this kind of stuff before, so you would have the inside track. I mean, I definitely want to hook up again, but isn’t it, like, sending the wrong kind of signal if I ask her to meet up again already? I mean, it’s not like either of us want a relationship, so I don’t want to scare her off.”
“You and Desiree hooked up?” Vi asked hollowly.
She pictured their other coworker, a bombshell of a woman if Vi had ever seen one in real life. Desiree was one of the company’s lawyers on staff, who was very successful at what she did, though Vi was sure that was due at least in part to the fact that she was so attractive, it made people want to give in to her regardless of their legal arguments. Desiree was tall and slender, with sleek ironed hair to the small of her back, which she always flaunted at the exact right moment with a full-body twirl to swing it over her shoulder. She was never without a pair of stilettos, a pencil skirt, and her signature ruby lipstick that made her warm nutmeg skin shimmer.
In one fell swoop, Vi had been ground to a pulp under the other woman’s pointed heel, and she wasn’t even here.
“Yeah, finally,” Henry beamed again, “after, what? The sixth time I asked?”
“I didn’t know you were into her…”
“Isn’t everybody?” he laughed. “She’s crazy hot.”
Vi did her best to keep her voice measured. “But you don’t want to date her?”
Henry shrugged. “I don’t want to date anyone. Too much baggage, I guess. This is so much easier. No feelings, no problems. Just fun, you know?”
She let out a long breath and sagged with it. “Yeah, I know. That’s sort of my best friend’s M.O., too.”
“See? I knew you’d know what to do. So, how soon is too soon?”
Vi pictured Changkyun now. Like Desiree, he was irresistible. With his black hair long enough to tie up in a little ponytail and sharp chin and even sharper cheeks, he cut an imposing figure, especially when he was sporting his favorite leather jacket and cologne. Vi called him catnip for women, and he never argued. He went through them like bottles of wine—savored for a night and tossed aside. The feminist side of her had, at times, wanted to be angry about it, but she’d never met one of his girls who had a complaint. Besides, the girls knew what they would be getting out of their night with him. Vi had always been the perennially out-of-touch one.
She toyed with the hem of her skirt as she answered, “I don’t think he ever repeats hookups honestly, so I don’t think he ever calls any of them back. I guess I’d say wait a few days though because, you’re right, if it were me and you hit me up the next day, I’d think you really liked me.”
Vi couldn’t help the stiffness in her voice, but Henry didn’t seem to notice. He was listening to her words, not to her, and nodding along.
“That’s what I thought. Is it okay if I ask her closer to the weekend? She’s not going to think that’s a date since it’s the weekend, right?”
“I don’t know, Henry. For someone who wanted something simple, you’re sure making this complicated.”
Her coworker did a double take at the barb in Vi’s tone, his full brows raised high. “Whoa, you okay?”
“Fine.”
Henry eyed her but said, “I get it. You’re right. I should just roll with it. Who knows? Maybe she’ll come to me.”
“Maybe.”
Vi stood and walked her quesadilla to the garbage can as he called, “Going in already? We still have twenty minutes?”
“Yeah, my lunch is ruined anyway. Thanks for paying. I’ll get you back someday.”
“You don’t need to—”
But she waved him off. “That’s what friends do. I’ll see you inside?”
Henry nodded slowly. He was obviously confused, but Vi needed to get back to her office before the sun exposed the heartbreak lurking under her skin.
Tumblr media
“Sorry, I’m late,” came the cool voice as the door to her apartment opened and shut. “Work ran over, but I stopped by the liquor store to make up for it. How'd it go with Henry?”
Changkyun turned toward the kitchen and sighed.
“Oh shit. The depression hoodie.”
Vi slouched at her breakfast bar, wrapped up in her oversized Eeyore hoodie, the hood itself cinched tightly around her cherub face with its yarn mane fluttering every time the oscillating fan craned its head her way. She looked up at her best friend from under the curtain of her curls and pouted her bottom lip.
“Hey,” she said pitifully.
“Hey. You okay?”
“I’m okay.”
Changkyun pulled out a stool opposite hers and sat down, his eyes trained carefully on her.
“So…” he said. “I'm a little confused.”
Vi rolled her head on her hands to stare at him. “Why are you confused?”
“I thought that you said this guy was smart? Like, some big-time analyst or something.”
“He's both.”
“Well, he can't be that smart if he rejected you.”
“He didn't reject me,” she grumbled. “At least, he didn't know he did. He asked me to lunch just so he could get advice from his ‘cute’ office buddy about his ‘hot’ office hook-up.”
“Come again?” Changkyun said as he glared into space.
Vi sighed. “Seems he’s taking a page out of the Im Changkyun Friday-night playbook—fun and done. Well, maybe not quite. He wanted to know how soon is too soon to make another booty call.”
“Hey, you know that’s not my playbook. Repeats are too complicated. This idiot just wants— You know what? Fuck him.”
Her head sank to the counter, where her forehead rocked against the cold laminate.
That’s what I was trying to do, she grumbled to herself.
“At least I was psychic enough to grab your favorite booze on my way over.” Her best friend thumped a bottle of peach schnapps on the counter and petted the mane on her hoodie encouragingly.
She sighed resignedly. “See? You knew I was doomed to failure.”
“Oh, knock it off, Viola. Now, we're going to drink this together, and we're going to toast to Henry's inevitable STD.”
At this, Vi shot back up. “Kyun!”
Her friend just shrugged a shoulder along with an eyebrow as he rooted through the cabinet over the refrigerator and pulled out two shot glasses. Liquor sloshed in the cups as the smell of boozy peaches tickled their nostrils.
“Down the hatch, Flowers,” he instructed, and together, they tossed back their first shot.
The liquor burned a little though the sweetness dulled that quite a bit, and not a second later, Vi shoved the shot glass across for a refill. The second shot went down even easier than the first, and by the third, it was just like taking shots of juice except she could wallow less.
“In retrospect,” she said as she scrounged through her cupboard for something salty to snack on, “shy librarian was maybe the wrong way to approach a guy these days.”
Changkyun’s brow scrunched. “What’s wrong with a shy librarian?”
“Nothing. She’s just not the girl who catches the attention. We’re living in the era of Instagram models. A guy like you is not taking a girl like me home. I have to face that.”
“That’s ridiculous,” he challenged, “and I resent it.”
“I love you, Kyun, and you can resent it all you want, but I have never seen you with a shy librarian on your arm.”
He scowled, but he couldn’t argue because facts were facts. “That’s not because I don’t find them attractive.”
“No, it’s because you assume they all want to tie you down. Sometimes we just want to get railed.”
Changkyun nearly spit his drink across the counter, but instead, he choked it down and finished out a coughing fit. Between wheezes, he managed, “I’m sorry, what?”
“I’m tired of being the cute girl that has to settle for vanilla sex in a long-term relationship. I’ve had plenty of that, and it was fine for a while, but maybe I want some meaningless hot sex, too. Why not? I’m single.”
“No, I know that, but—”
“See? I can tell from that ‘but’ that you would never expect a 'cute' girl like me to want something like that. Cute girls like fuzzy sweaters and stuffed animals and those teeny little pastries that you eat in one bite.”
“Okay, but you do like those things,” Changkyun reminded.
“Yeah, I know, but I also like sex, and I want more of it.”
“Are you seriously trying to tell me that my best friend since second grade, who once invited me to her My Little Pony party, oh, and made me wear matching onesie Christmas pajamas last year, wants a—” The bottom fell out in his voice and, despite his casual appearance and even more casual attitude to relationships, he whispered, “—fuck buddy?”
“Or a few one-night-stands. I’m not picky.”
Changkyun stared blankly across the counter. “I don’t even know what to say.”
“See? This is my point. No guy like you is going to even consider sleeping with me because you assume I’m going to bring the baggage of a relationship. Well, I want a break from that shit, too. This is where you come in.”
“Whoa, Viola, I know that—”
“Shut up for a second, would ya? I’m not trying to guilt you into sex, Kyun, but I do want your help.”
At this, her best friend cocked his head. “My help?”
She leaned across the counter and locked eyes with Changkyun. She could see his nerves in the hard press of his lips, but she knew he was the only guy she could trust with this, so she soldiered on, emboldened by a bad fucking day and good fucking alcohol. “You've done this a lot. This is your wheelhouse. Teach me, sempai. Show me how to be a hot girl.”
He sighed and rolled his head back. “Why do you want to be a quote-unquote hot girl, Viola? They're a dime a dozen.”
“Because hot girls get laid,” she said frankly.
Changkyun scoffed. “You’re not a virgin, and you’re hot as is.”
“You have to say that as my best friend, but also, you’re not trying to sleep with me. You and I are in two different leagues of attractive, Kyun. You’re made up of all kinds of sharp angles—you’re objectively hot. I’m a freaking circle. Don’t say it—don’t say it. I know I’m not ugly, okay, but the fact of the matter is I want to be less Shirley Temple and more Naomi Campbell. You can show me how! All you do is interact with people who ooze sexiness. So, just walk me through the things that clue you in that a girl just wants to sleep with you and we can move on.”
“I don’t think I’m comfortable with this,” he admitted.
“Because you think I’m a hopeless case?”
“Because I think you’ll get hurt.”
Vi’s apartment had never felt so quiet. It was like a vacuum, where all sound and light had been siphoned away. She felt the irrational urge to cry, but she wasn’t exactly sure why, and she pulled her hoodie tightly over her head again.
Changkyun frowned apologetically. “I’m worried you’re only saying this because you’re a little drunk and a lot hurt already. That’s a bad recipe to start making new life choices.”
“Thanks, Dr. Phil. It’s fine. Forget it. You don’t need to say anymore.”
But he refused to leave it at that. He laid his head on the counter so he was back in her sulky line-of-sight, and he smiled reassuringly. “I don’t think you’re a hopeless case, by the way. It’s just that you’re already so beautiful. You deserve more. I want more for you.”
“Okay, but you don’t get to make that decision for me, just like I can’t make you help me with this.”
Changkyun growled. “You're doing all this because of stupid Henry?”
“No!”
“Really? Because you’ve never said any of this stuff before today.”
Vi leapt up from her seat so she could lean back against the sink and stuff her arms across her chest. “Maybe I was embarrassed to, but after the humiliation I suffered this afternoon, I’m done caring about that. If everyone else can just go after what they want, why can’t I?”
“I get it. It’s just… What's so great about hot girls?”
“You tell me. You bed one a week.”
“‘Bed one?’” he laughed.
“You're only making my point. I’m hopeless without you, Kyun, see?” she whined. She darted back to the breakfast bar next to him as she sensed the first hint of caving.
“Viola, is this what you really want? Some guy who just sleeps with you and doesn't call you ever again?”
She ran her fingertip around the rim of her shot glass as she considered Changkyun’s words. “I know you think I’m just saying this because of today, but what do you think today was about in the first place? Yeah, maybe I had a crush on Henry first, and that’s probably the exact wrong way to start something casual, but it wasn’t like I wanted to marry the guy either. You know I've only done the committed thing. What’s so wrong with wanting to explore something new, especially when I see you having an endless good time?”
“It’s really not like that,” he asserted as he took another shot.
She waited for him to finish his thought, but, typical Changkyun, he held back the full breadth of his feelings, and even though Vi knew him better than anyone else, some days it felt like she only knew the tip of the iceberg.
“Yeah, I'm the guy you fuck, but I’m not the one you end up with. Just so we’re both clear, I know jack shit about love.”
“Exactly! You’re perfect. You know what guys like you are looking for. You can be my tutor and my wingman.”
“It’s just a little weird that I’m your best friend. My job has always been to keep you away from guys like me.”
“You’re doing a terrible job then, bestie,” she teased as she nudged his knuckles with her own.
“You know what I mean.”
“I do, so for now, let’s just change our title to friends with benefits, okay?”
Changkyun rolled his eyes. “That’s not what that means.”
“I know. I’m trying to be clever.”
He stood up from the bar and waltzed into the living room, hands in his baggy jean pockets. Vi could tell from the way his iris tattoo flexed on his forearm that he was balling his fists, but at least he seemed to be taking her seriously. He paced behind the back of the couch before he leaned on it. His head whipped toward her as he said firmly, “If I do this, we need ground rules.”
“You got it, teach.”
Vi shucked off the Eeyore hoodie and tossed it on the counter as she raced into the kitchen and started rifling through her junk drawer.
“What are you doing?” he asked.
“Getting a pen and paper?”
Changkyun laughed. “Of course you are.”
“Hey, organization can be hot, too,” she objected. “And everybody likes a good listener, right?”
At this, her friend paused, stone still as he stared at her. Only when she waggled the pen at him did he blink and nod.
“You said I'm the expert,” Changkyun began, “so I expect you to listen to everything I have to say whether you want to hear it or not.”
Vi scrawled a quick note as she said, “You got it.”
“That means I go with you to clubs and bars when you want to meet guys so I can vet them.”
“Makes sense.”
“And if I don't get a good feeling about somebody you’re pursuing, you drop it instantly.”
“Fair enough.”
Changkyun cleared his throat to lift her attention from her notes. “Instantly, Viola. I mean it. I know how headstrong you can be when you think you're right, but I know the players and the game.”
“I know you do, and I’m not arguing, am I? See? Good listener.”
Again, he gave her a funny stare, and she felt that same sense that he was keeping things from her despite their current conversation.
But then he let out a breath and leaned forward, his hands falling to steady him on the back of the couch. “If you're uncomfortable with anything, you tell me. You don't have to do things just because you think it's what you think you should be doing.”
“I get how limits work, Kyun,” Vi said, a little annoyed, but he shook his head.
“I'm not just talking about bedroom stuff. If something doesn't feel like you, then I don't want you to do it.”
“I said okay…”
“I'm serious. Write it down. It’s the only way I'm agreeing to this.” Changkyun stared hard at her notepad until she finally got over her shock at his force and jotted his words down.
“I hear you, I hear you,” she grumbled.
“You trust me, right?” he asked with an intensity that Vi had rarely heard from him.
“Of course I trust you.”
There was a shift in the room now. Somehow, the temperature both seemed to plummet and soar at the same time, and Vi felt very disoriented. She was glad for the wall behind her or she might have tripped over nothing.
“Good. I want you to trust me enough to tell me absolutely everything,” said Changkyun. Despite how intimidating the man’s aura could be, right now, he was drawing her in closer and closer with those black hole eyes and bittersweet chocolatey voice. “I don't want you to be afraid to tell me all the things you want or like. You know me, I'm the last person in the world who would judge you, but that doesn’t mean it might not surprise me.”
“You mean like I already surprised you tonight?” Vi ribbed lightly.
“Yeah, but now that I know this is what you really want, I'm going to make sure you get it all.”
“Ah… Oh…” she fumbled and hoped she didn't give herself away at the unintentional innuendo. If she wanted him to take her seriously, she didn't want to look like a preteen in front of him. “Thanks, Kyunnie.”
He smirked. “You sure you want to give up your whole cute schtick? I’m pretty fond of it.”
“I mean, I don't have to give it up? I just want to shove it aside for a few hours while I get railed.”
That wiped the smirk right off his face. “How can I have known you my whole life and you still manage to have secrets?”
Vi shrugged. “Not going to lie, I kind of love the fact that my international man of mystery still thinks I can surprise him.”
Changkyun pressed his lips tightly and crossed his arms as he stared at her until sweat nearly started to bead at her brow. She had always trusted that he would help her, but the way he was examining her motives felt far too penetrating.
“We’re clear on the rules?” he said at last.
Vi nodded and showed them to him just to reiterate how seriously she was taking him. At this, he relaxed into his usual cool slouch.
“There’s one last thing,” he said.
She brought her pen up to the paper and waited eagerly.
“I don’t want this to come between our friendship.”
Instead of writing it down, Vi looked at Changkyun. He didn’t crack a smile or show even a hint of softness; he just met her gaze for gaze.
“Why would it?” she pressed.
“Things like sex usually do,” he said with a shrug of a shoulder.
“Yeah, but we’re not having sex…”
“I know.”
“So what are you worried about?” she asked.
“You,” replied Changkyun. “I’m always worried about you.”
Vi lowered her notes and came to sit beside her best friend on the back of the couch. Sincerely, she said, “And that’s why I knew I could trust you with this.”
“You can trust me with anything.”
“Because you’ll take care of me,” she finished with a smile.
“Because I’ll always take care of you.”
Changkyun’s words hung before he stood up, stuffed his hands back into his pockets, and headed back to the booze. He poured himself another shot and then one for her and brought it over. With glasses in hands, he raised his and said, “A toast to our unholy alliance.”
“To the new me,” she added. At this, he scowled, and Vi amended, “To a more adventurous me.”
“Better. I’ll drink to that.”
With another shot down, Vi felt the best she had all day. She let out a quick victory squeal before she announced, “I’m going to go get cozy real quick, then we'll dig in.”
“Already? You don't want to sleep on this first?”
“Carpe diem!” she called over her shoulder, and when she came back, she was cocooned in her favorite silk pajamas.
Vi crisscrossed her legs underneath her as she settled onto the sofa, notepad in her lap.
“Okay, since I’ve been thinking about this all afternoon, I’m going to grab the list I already came up with, and then the resident sex expert can chime in, ‘kay?”
Changkyun raised an eyebrow. “If I didn’t know any better, I might think I’ve been played.”
“So, maybe I’ve been thinking about this for a while more than I let on, but since everything went to absolute hell on my own, I had to fess up. And lucky for me, I have the greatest guy in the world for a friend.”
“A better friend would talk you out of this,” he objected.
“No way. You’re supporting me and backing me up? Best friend in the galaxy.”
“You don’t need to keep buttering me up. I already said yes.”
“Nah, I’m being serious, Kyun. Thank you.”
He nodded and emptied the last drops in his glass before he sidled up behind her on the couch and leaned over her shoulder.
Notepad still out, this time on the coffee table, Vi flipped back a page and stared at the list she had been jotting down the past week whenever the thoughts had occurred to her.
Hot girls:
Don't wear underwear
Don't wear glasses unless they're sunglasses
Flaunt their assets (short dresses, body-hugging, glitter???)
Get manicures
“Should I get hair extensions?” she pondered as she studied the bullet points.
“Absolutely not,” Changkyun said firmly.
“All the babes on Instagram have them.”
He sighed. “Long hair doesn't automatically make you hot, nor does any of this insanity you insisted on writing down.”
But her friend’s words barely registered as she scrunched the tips of her curls idly. “I feel like my bob says school girl or Karen or probably, definitely, librarian, and we all know I’m sick of that fate, so maybe?”
“I love your hair on you.”
At this, Vi lowered her pen. “Are you saying that as Kyun my best friend or Kyun the lady killer?”
“I'm saying it as a man to a woman. Don't change it unless you genuinely want to change it.”
“Maybe I should just stop wearing it curly then? Too Shirley Temple. Maybe I should iron it or something.”
Changkyun fell into silence back as he munched on a bag of snacks he’d pilfered from her cupboard. He stared off into space while her brow furrowed deeper and deeper.
“You’re supposed to be helping me,” Vi complained.
“What do you want me to add? You’ve vetoed everything I’ve said so far.”
“Exactly. So what does that tell you?”
Her best friend shot her a stern glare as he said, “That you’re awesome exactly the way you are?”
“I don’t just want to be awesome, Kyun. I want to be hot. I’m just going by the girls I’ve seen you take home. Don’t even try and pretend I’m just making this stuff up either. I do have eyes, sir.” She waggled her list at him, but he didn’t say anything. “Come on! Give me one thing you look for in a girl you just want to sleep with.”
Changkyun pressed his lips together as he considered. After a moment, he said, “The way she looks at me.”
At his first helpful answer, Vi sat forward, elbows on her now-pajamaed knees. “Ooh, how’s that?”
“I guess it’s kind of hard to describe. Each girl has her own way of doing it, but it all translates the same.”
He left it at that, and she growled. “And? What way is that!”
“I don’t know,” he said through a crunch of a cracker. “Like she wants to fuck me.”
Vi choked a little at his frank words, and she thumped her chest with her fist hoping to dislodge the knot there.
“You okay?” he asked.
“Yeah,” she wheezed and held a few deep breaths to right herself. “Just wasn’t expecting you to say it like that.”
“Hey, if you want to try casual sex, you’re going to have to get used to being direct about it.”
“Hm,” Vi considered as the wheels in her brain began to spin again.
This time, she wrote down “Serve sexy eyes” on the page and then tapped the pen against her lips before she added “Talk dirty” underneath.
“You’re pulling your weight at last, Kyun,” she said triumphantly. “Give me one more thing, and I’ll stop twisting your arm.”
Changkyun sighed in relief. “Perfect. Then I’ll say dancing. I narrow down my options from the way she moves her body. That tells me all I need to know.”
“Sexy mating dance, got it,” Vi repeated as she wrote it down.
Her best friend let out an incredulous laugh. “This is going to go over like a lead balloon.”
“Hey!”
“You’re the one who said it like we’re some nature doc or something. Looks like it’s going to be harder to shed your librarian alter ego than you think.”
Vi launched up from the couch and leaned on the counter shoulder-to-shoulder with Changkyun. “That’s why my best friend is going to Cyrano De Bergerac me through it.”
“Nerd.”
“Okay, okay, I’ll stow the literary references for after the sex. I suppose they could be a mood killer in this particular scenario. So, let’s say I give them the right bedroom eyes and do the mating dance and then add the sexy, flirty talk to seal the deal. Do I bring them back here then, or…”
“Whoa, whoa, whoa,” said Changkyun. “Walk before you run, okay?”
Vi shrugged. “It’s just, wouldn’t it make sense to bring them here? I’m in between roommates anyway, so I have the place to myself, and it wouldn’t bother any—”
This time, his hands clapped against the counter, and it resounded in the tiny living room. “Viola, you’re not bringing a strange guy home to an empty place.”
“Huh… Yeah, I didn’t think about that. So his place?”
“Shit. Okay, you’re already in high gear, and we’re not even out of the garage yet.” Changkyun yanked the notepad toward him and grumbled tightly as he scrawled each word, “Hot girls stay alert.”
Vi popped an eyebrow as she echoed the sentence. “Yeah, I don’t know if that's really a thing.”
“Well, it's about to be this hot girl’s thing,” he insisted. “You need to think with your head and not—”
“Not my downstairs, got it.”
Changkyun chuckled in spite of the serious turn in their planning.
“What about after a couple of hookups?” she asked, but he sighed.
“Again, you need to slow down. I don't think you want to jump headfirst into a fuck buddy relationship.”
“Why not? What if the sex is really good and we want to keep going?”
Changkyun shook his head. “You catch feelings way too easily, Flowers. No. No way. The point is sex, not strings, right?”
“Yeah, but what if it really is just mind-blowing sex with no strings?”
“Look, you said you wanted to feel hot and have fun. I'm going to make sure that happens, but if you're looking for something more to come out of it, I can't help you. The guys we’re looking at aren't going to be the kind of guys that I want you to repeat. My goal is to get you laid, not break your heart.”
“Okay, okay,” she said as she added a new note.
Keep it simple.
Changkyun glanced at it and gave a subtle nod. “Good. That one’s going to be tough for you.”
“You’re so wrong about that,” Vi challenged.
“How’s that? Even your pajamas require a Masters degree to put on or, more importantly, take off.” He gestured toward her two-piece set, the collared top featuring a full row of buttons and the matching bottoms tied with a quaint bow.
“What do you sleep in then, hot shot?”
Changkyun raised an eyebrow. “I sleep naked. Doesn’t get much simpler than that.”
The image hung, and Vi could feel her whole body heating.
“Fine, whatever. I’ll get new jammies, too, if it’ll make you happy.”
“I’m teasing you, Viola. I’m happy so long as you’re happy, Fort Knox pajamas or not,” he added with a hooked grin.
“Moving on!” she sang. “Back to these girls you take home. They probably know a lot of cool tricks and stuff, huh?”
“First of all, we don’t always make it back to a bedroom. Depends on the moment. You’ll get a sense pretty quickly where the night is heading one way or another, so just trust that feeling. Second, they’re not really tricks. It’s just… stuff you pick up from trying new things. If you’re feeling it, you can try it. A man worth your time is going to be open to experiencing them with you. You can just ask, and if he’s a dick about any of it, you can leave. If he gives you shit, you let me know. I’m already on your speed dial.”
Vi didn’t say anything and his eyes narrowed.
“Right?” he pressed.
She laughed. “Of course. You’re my first. Just don’t tell my mom.”
Changkyun softened and nodded once. “Okay, good.”
She smiled gently at her best friend before she turned back to her list to add one last item.
Try new positions in new places
When she was done, she studied it a few times over as she switched to pacing the living room.
“Okay, so looking at this, my plan of attack should be: new wardrobe, makeover, dirty talk lessons, and you should probably show me this fancy mating dance you mentioned. Ooh, do you think I should read the Kama Sutra, too?”
Changkyun laughed even as his head dropped into his hands. “You are going into this exactly like I thought you would. How about we just do a little at a time to ease you into all of this because, otherwise, it’s going to feel like you took a dive headfirst into an empty pool. I want to build your confidence naturally, okay? We’ll do it together like I promised.”
Vi nodded and practically collapsed under the relief she felt. It was overwhelming. Her whole life, despite her careful planning, she had taken everything two steps at a time, like running up stairs, but she’d also wiped out more than a few times that way. At least with her best friend by her side, he could catch her.
“Why don't you go shopping first for some new clothes. Buy something that makes you feel good.”
“Cool, okay. That's actually a really good idea. You can tell me what guys will find hot.”
But Changkyun shook his head. “Take Nijah or Tara.”
“No, Kyun. Come on. Nijah knits her own turtlenecks, and Tara is an actual librarian. I adore them, but they're not the people I want to go to for hot girl fashion advice. You are.” He considered for a moment, and Vi didn’t want to miss out on her chance, so she added with a soft smile, “I know you won't just tell me what I want to hear, but I also know that you'll hype me up better than anyone else could. If you want me to build confidence, I need my best, most trusted friend in the whole world. Besides, didn’t you just say we’d do things together? Pretty please?”
She batted her eyelashes cartoonishly, and, with a roll of his eyes, he caved. “Fine.”
“Ha ha, I knew it. You can never say no to me when I beg,” she gloated.
Changkyun nodded once and dropped his eyes to his lap. “As long as it’s for you and not just these dumb guys.”
“Man, Kyun, if you ever decide to wife up, women everywhere will cry themselves to sleep. They broke the mold with you.”
“You keep this up, and I’m going to get a big head.”
“That’s just another way of saying you like it.” He said nothing, and Vi reveled in her little triumph. “So when can you go shopping with me? Tomorrow after work?”
“Wow, how hard up are you?” he laughed.
She sneered at him, but it was true. It had been months and months since she’d gotten laid and even longer since she’d had an orgasm that wasn’t of her own making; she hadn’t been exaggerating about the boring sex. Someday she would find the guy she could have as much fun with outside of the bedroom as in it, but for now, she needed to break the dam of frustration and self-doubt so she could clear her head enough to focus on the other things.
“The sooner the better, hot shot,” she retorted.
“I can do tomorrow.”
“Sweet! I’ll google some trendy places.”
“Of course you will.”
But as Vi scrolled through search results on her phone, her friend shuffled around her apartment. He stuck his head into the spare room and mumbled, “I would feel better about all of this if you picked a damn roommate already.”
“Yeah, I know, but the last girl I interviewed gave off that party animal vibe, and even if I am looking to loosen up, I’m not losing my deposit. I did really like the guy though, but he said he won’t know if he can move in for a couple more weeks.”
“What guy?”
“You know him. Minhyuk’s cousin.”
Changkyun scowled as he leaned in the bedroom frame. “Isn’t he a lot older?”
Vi shrugged. “Not really. Like, five years. At least it sounds like he has his life together, which is more than I can say, so I think I’ll just wait to see if he can do it. I can afford another month here alone.”
“Are you sure? It’s Vancouver. There’s got to be lots of people looking.”
“Oh, yeah, there are, but I’m not rooming with someone I don’t vibe with.”
“And you vibe with this guy?”
Vi nodded as she jotted down a few store names on her list. “Yeah, he’s about as chill a guy as I’ve ever met, and he gives off that safe, responsible vibe. That’s who you want to room with, right?”
“Yeah.”
“Come to think of it, he might be the perfect roommate for me then. He’s big and sturdy-looking. Maybe he’ll be my bouncer,” she laughed.
Changkyun did not join her.
“If you want, I can ask him to come back and hang with us? It’s probably good anyway that you vibe with him, too, considering how much you’re here.”
Her friend shrugged a shoulder. “That’s okay. You’re right, I already know him.”
“Okay, cool then. I’ll give him the greenlight if he’s down. Man, I’m feeling doubly productive now. Checking all the things off my list! The next time Henry sees me, he’s not going to know what hit him.”
At this, Changkyun’s brow furrowed. “We’re not doing this because of that dickweed.”
“No! No way,” Vi assured. “But there’s nothing wrong with seeing a guy regret ignoring me, right?”
“Mm,” was all her friend said.
“So we’re on for tomorrow?”
“We are.”
“You staying the night tonight?” she asked.
Changkyun’s eyes darted to the spare room, but when he looked back, they were uncharacteristically flat. “I’ve got practice early. My show’s in just a couple weeks, and we can only meet a few times between now and then.”
“Okay,” Vi said cheerfully over her shoulder as she reviewed her notes. “So, you just tell me when you’re free.”
He was quiet for so long that she had to turn around to be sure he hadn’t left, but he was still there, leaning against the wall and staring out the window.
“Kyun?”
His eyes shifted to hers, and that weird little light he had inside switched back on. “I’ll call you before lunch. We’ll figure it out.”
“Cool. Then I’ll take you to dinner after to say thanks.”
From behind the soft, Changkyun leaned over and kissed the crown of her head. “Sounds good. I’m taking the booze, so you can’t get any ideas.”
“I don’t need it now. I have you.”
“Always,” he assured. “Lock the door behind me, all right?”
“Hot girls stay alert!” Vi shouted with a thumbs up, and her friend left a moment later.
When she got up to lock the door as promised, she caught a shadow through the peephole. Changkyun was still there, waiting in the middle of the hallway, though as soon as the click of the deadbolt thundered, he disappeared.
Vi smiled. They really had broken the mold with him.

Poly relationship Headcanons | Miguel x Peter B x MJ x Reader
a/n: Me when I accidentally became a polyamorous relationship promoter/advocate 🫣 Thanks for the requestttt <33
SFW
MIGUEL IS IN LOVE WITH YOU
He always has been, ever since you first mumbled an 'I love you' while half-asleep and cradled in his arms that one morning. He woke you up just to tell you he loves you too.
Marrying you was only natural, since you complete him and he was the only one to understand you, too. When Miguel looks at your eyes, the only thing he wants is to get lost in them forever. You being his wife is something he'd always boast and mention in the PA system in Spider Society tbh (not because he was a lonely oldie before u 💔) but because he's happy you're with him in everything he does. Your presence as he works, as he hyperfixates about the multiverse, as he eats, as he sleeps, has made his life ultimately better.
MJ HAS A CRUSH ON YOU
She started having butterflies in her stomach for you at such an inconvenient time—before getting married (for a second time) with Peter B. You were there beside her, helping her breathe in and out when she doubted Peter B would even be at the end of the aisle.
She could've sworn that your eyes sparkled in that blue dress you wore as her maid of honor. She almost made the stupid move of kissing you as you were comforting her, but that must've been the wedding jitters, right? Right? (She realized she was wrong when she returned from her honeymoon and palpitated when she saw you in a dazzling outfit).
PETER B THINKS YOU'RE COOL
Not as cool as his wife (obviously), but he absolutely enjoys your company. When you visit his and MJ's house to babysit Mayday or to have a chat with his wife (or him, though not as often), your good vibes spread throughout the house. Peter considers you a reliable confidant.
When him and MJ were running out of ideas on how to feed Mayday vegetables, you came up with a solution to hide them under a heap of rice. When Peter was having trouble thinking of what to give MJ after an argument, you suggested he just apologized clearly and authentically, and everything would work out. Peter starts getting suspicious of you, though, and why you know so much about his wife.
How did you four decide you wanted to be in a relationship with each other?
Honestly, you have Peter to thank for that. He realized that his wife's feelings for you were getting stronger by the day and that your feelings for her were getting harder to ignore every double date night. He didn't think it was bad—on the contrary, he just wanted you two to confess, so you could talk negotiations.
At one point, Peter just asked outright, "Do you guys have a thing for each other?" And you two laughed like crazy while him and Miguel were like ??😫??
The answer was yes.
For Miguel and you, it didn't affect your relationship in its entirety. But he was a bit pouty. "Am I not enough for you? Is there something I'm lacking?" was his mantra at the start of it, but you had to reassure him that this wasn't true. You're always open and transparent with him, which made him trust your judgement. Also, you give him more kisses to stop him from sulking a lot 🫶
For Miguel and Peter, it made them a bit awkward at first, before Miguel realized that no other spider-person checks up on him or dotes on him as much as Peter B does. Peter B always left small offerings for Miguel when he worked late at night in the 2099 lab. "I brought you a blanket me and Mayday crocheted. Don't forget to rest, big guy! Sleep on the floor if you have to. Better than not sleeping at all." Miguel keeps all the notes Peter leaves him.
For MJ and Peter, it was more of a 'how-to-explain-this-to-Mayday-thing,' Especially, if Mayday was at that stage where she would be able to tell what kissing, what romance, and the like could look like. Neither of them were that worried though. "I mean, honey, Mayday sees a lot of insane stuff in Spider Society all the time~!!" Peter B would argue.
For MJ and Miguel, it brought them a bit closer, considering they had more in common now. MJ hoped that it wouldn't be so weird for Miguel, but every now and then, she says something like this: "So, your wife tastes good— I mean, your wife's cooking tastes good! Her pork carnitas are amazing. Yes, that's what I meant. Sorry." "Be honest, that's not what you meant."
For you and Peter, it definitely opened up more bonding opportunities. Despite you four dating, you and him always think of each other as besties; which is why you both peer pressure your two lovely, more reserved spouses to stuff like kayaking, boat rides, halloween trick-or-treating. "Hey, do you think MJ and Miguel would be cool with going to an adult playground for brunch?" "IDK, Will there be brunch?"
For you and MJ, it was basically extending your already-intimate friendship to even more intimacies. She cuddles!! A lot!! And you kiss her on the forehead, just as many times as she needs it!! Your relationship with her was an understanding one; she always initiates touch with you. "Baby, stay here for longer, please." "MJ, you're so cute, but Peter's like... right there"
RANDOM STUFF
In terms of cooking skills: You > Miguel = MJ > Peter B
MJ would bake for you! Cookies and bread for you to take home so you can munch on them when you and Miguel would watch movies and cuddle at the sofa at night.
Peter B would invite you and Miguel to picnics or beach outings with him and MJ!! He would always bring Mayday to play frisbee with him and Miguel, if ever it was a 👁family-safe👁 occasion
Miguel would ask MJ for help when it comes to surprising you for your birthdays. He understands that you're BIG on birthdays, so he needs all the help he can gets to make sure the day is extra-special for you!!! He'll dress up as a bunny just to make you smile 😞
SUPER MARIO PARTY and Peter B always chooses Bowser Jr.!!!! Miguel likes Donkey Kong "just because" and MJ picks Yoshi because he's silly-looking.
The first one in Spider Society to find out that the four of you were dating was Gwen. Because she was about to drop off the hair-dryer that she borrowed at your doorstep, only to see that Miguel and Peter kissed as he and MJ were leaving your house.
Gwen tried keeping the secret, buuuuuut she told Miles, who told Pav, who told Hobie, who told Margo, who told Noir, and at some point, Lyla just had to inform Miguel that the secret was out 🤓
In terms of who gives the best back massages: Miguel > Peter B = MJ > You
For everyone's sake, do not give a back rub.
The four of you love each other 🫶 and it's so evident in the way all four of you stay supportive in everything you guys do and in the way that you're all tender with each other's presence
Thank you for reading ✨ I'll upload an nsfw version if it's in demand (feel free to request)!!

Persephone's Gambit Christmas sneak peak!
In the spirit of "just because I wanna" here's a preview of a future Persephone's Gambit installment in the form of some E/C holiday fluff!
The second surprise came on Sunday morning, when Erik emerged from his room. Christine was drinking her morning cup of chocolate, and at his place at the table there was a parcel wrapped in brown paper and tied with what looked like a bit of ribbon from her sewing basket. "What's this?" he asked, prodding the package as if expecting it to explode.
"It's a present," Christine said simply.
"A present?" Erik asked with the bafflement of one who has heard of such things as presents but never expected to see one for himself.
"Yes, I…." Why did she sound so embarrassed? "I wasn't sure if you cared, I suppose you have reason enough not to, but I…I still wanted to do something…"
Erik frowned; he disliked the sense of missing something. "Christine, I'm afraid I'm not following you."
She looked up at him, eyes wide as she realized how lost he was. "I thought you knew…today's the twenty-fourth. It's Christmas Eve."
Christmas…another thing he knew of in the abstract, but had little experience with. He had no memories of his parents celebrating the event; presumably they went to Mass and then joined neighbors for Réveillon while he was shut up at home. Most of his travels had been among close-knit communities where he never fully belonged, or people of other faiths. By the time he'd returned to France, Christmas was just another part of a world that had no place for him.
But Christine…of course Christmas was important to her. "Well?" she demanded with an air of anxious anticipation. "Are you going to open it?"
Feeling uncommonly awkward under her eager scrutiny, Erik undid the ribbon and pulled open the wrapping. A long spill of red emerged: a scarf, a few shades darker than the one Christine cherished so dearly. He rubbed the soft yarn with his fingers, the ridges where her crochet hook had twisted and shaped it into the object he held. "I…" What could he say? What was he supposed to say? "Is this what you have been working on in your room?"
"Yes…I took it to rehearsal a couple times but I was afraid people would ask questions and I wasn't sure if you might see it, you're very hard to keep secrets from but I knew my room would be safe…" She was babbling, nervous. "Do you like it?"
Why did his chest feel warm and tight at the same time; why did he want to smile and cry all at once? "Yes," he said finally, his voice rough around the constriction in his throat. "It's beautiful…thank you."
He excused himself from the table to collect himself, and on returning to his room he remembered the note Raoul had given him for today. Realizing it must also have some connection to the season he opened it, and found the guess confirmed:
I hope you will forgive me for missing our regular meeting this week and the next, but I will be much engaged with family until the new year, and I suspect you may consider the time better spent in your current company. Think of it a gift from myself, if you like.
Joyeux Noël, Erik.
Overflowing with emotions that frightened him, Erik returned to the parlor. "Christine, I…" He swallowed hard, willing control over his turbulent heart. "I didn't get you anything."
"I know," she said with a smile, her sad, trying-to-be-brave smile. "It doesn't matter."
"Yes, it does," he insisted. "I should…I want to do something for you." He sat beside her, all devotion. "Tell me what gift you would like, and you shall have it."
"Anything?" she asked after a moment, biting her lip.
Erik hesitated; a request for "anything" indicated a great demand. He steeled himself regardless. "Anything you wish."
"Well…I have no need for trinkets or baubles. But I wish…I would very much like to go out tonight, stroll through the streets, attend the service at La Redemption…"
"Is that all?" Erik asked, incredulous. "Christine, you know you have leave to come and go from here whenever you wish."
"No, I meant…go out with you. Together."
"Together?" Erik's heart hammered against his ribs.
"Yes, I thought perhaps…it will be cold, and with the scarf wrapped around people might not notice…" She was babbling again, but Erik scarcely heard her over the voices both eager and terrified warring in his mind.
She wants to be together—with you, on today of all days…
The streets will be crowded, people everywhere, nowhere to hide or escape…
Isn't this what you wanted: to walk through the city with your wife on your arm? What have you been laboring for all these months, if not this?
It's not ready…I'm not ready…
It was that last thought that stunned him, the realization that his hesitation to test the efforts of his latest designs were not his perfectionism, but his lingering horror of the stares and whispers and taunts. But tested they must be, and there was only one way of doing it.
Christine, who had been waiting in silence, greeted his own silence with quiet resignation. "Never mind, it was only an idle thought. I don't—"
"No." Her disappointment, her determination not to let him know how disappointed she was, tipped the scales. "I said anything, and I meant it. In fact…" He smiled as he took her hand and helped her up. "…It seems I have a present for you, after all."

Some random modern HotD headcanons :)
Hey y’all! So I kept thinking of some funny, and very specific headcanons for the HotD characters, so I decided to just make it a whole post. This will actually be my first “legit” post on here, lol! Anyways, this will include some headcanons about Aemond, Aegon II, Luke, Jace, Daemon, Rhaenyra, Helaena, etc. But hope y’all enjoy lol! :)
Tumblr media
Ok, I am convinced that Aemond has a secret stash of tea hidden somewhere. He's even put them all in a very nice ornate, antique box. It's his guilty pleasure. He probably would have some Earl Gray, English Breakfast, maybe even some lavender mint for the evenings. He'd keep it secret because all the teas he's gotten are way too expensive, and special.
Luke is an avid Minecraft gamer. Like he's basically built Dragonstone, and the Red Keep in his server. He'll play sometimes with Jace, or maybe even Aegon. But he doesn't let them into that world. Aegon would probably blow it all up with TnT.
Speaking of gaming, I think some people are on the same page that Aegon would be some kind of gamer. He'd be up to date on all the new systems and gadgets. He'd be one of the firsts to have the PS5 when it came out. He probably plays a lot of Call of Duty. Maybe even some Valorant when he doesn't wanna fire up the PS. He'd definitely be cursing and yelling at the game, to the point where Alicent threatens to take it away.
While Rhaenyra watches her shows, House Wives, Rupaul's Drag Race, etc. Daemon pretends to be not interested, but really he's super invested. He'd be leaning against the couch, or the wall totally sucked in. And when Rhaenyra tells him to just sit down and watch with her, he's all like, "no no I don't even like this show". But then he'd say things like, "Well maybe if her gown was better made she wouldn't have been eliminated last episode".
Aegon gives me frat boy energy. And I know I'm not the first to say that lol. You already know he's planning all the parties, and picking the themes. I like to think he'd be very invested into picking the themes. They would be things like, dragon night, wear your fave dragon scale colors. Or something like, Dragonstone beach night, wear your swim suits and flip flops.
Alicent likes to knit. Or maybe crochet? It's her stress reliever activity after dealing with Aegon, and the rest of the boys. Helaena is always giving her new patterns or designs to try.
I think Alicent also likes to take the occasional Buzzfeed quiz. "If you were a cake flavor, here's what you'd be based on your star sign".
Helaena runs a very successful tik tok account. She'd post her outfits, and maybe some art or cool bugs she's found.
Aegon listens to a lot of Megan Thee Stallion and Kim Petras. He's blasting Kim Petras' Treat me like a Slut at least 5 times a day. He gets ready to it in the morning.
Aemond will get down to some Amy Winehouse.
Jace works at the local animal shelter as his summer job. He only got the job cause Rhaenyra said he needed to get out of the house. Plus Helaena also works there, so she helped him get hired.
Aemond would be a great bartender. Not with like actually interacting with customers, but he can make some great drinks. Like he's over here coming up with all these crazy cocktails. Although, like his tea obsession he keeps this on the low. He doesn't want Aegon asking him to make drinks all the time. Gods forbid he asks Aemond to bartend at one of the frat parties.
Helaena was a Monster High girl growing up.
Aemond has a motorcycle. It was his one rebellious purchase. Alicent hates it.
Luke can kick Aegon's ass in any game, video or otherwise. You name it, Call of Duty, UNO, Valorent, Go fish...
Rhaenyra has a bit of a sweet tooth, but she has to hide her candy stash, cause the boys will steal it in a heartbeat. Who would have thought Daemon would love lemon drops so much.
I really could go on forever, these are just too fun to write. But I'll leave it here for now lol.
