A Diviner's Guide to James Potter
Chapter Seventeen: An Invitation
James Potter x Fem!Gryffindor!Reader
Chapter Sixteen ☆ Series Masterlist
Description: You and the others search for answers regarding the return of your nefarious classmates.
Word Count: 5.8k
No one spoke for a long beat, the air charged with your collective bewilderment. You heard nothing behind McGonagall’s door, just the drum of your own heart. Her final words stung, more actually than it would’ve with any other professor given that she was the head of your house. Zephyr was back, as was Mulciber, Wilkes, and Snape, all having planned on poisoning you just two weeks prior.
“Merlin’s saggy balls,” Sirius said, breaking the silence, “some good that did us.”
“She can’t just— she can’t, can she?” Marlene stuttered, slow to catch up on the complete waste of time this all was.
James’s jaw was set, turning on his heels to walk back down the corridor. You followed behind, all with the same sulking expressions.
Lily placed a hand on your arm, offering you the best consolation she could, “If they let them come back, McGonagall must be right. They can’t be a threat anymore.”
You nodded, though you weren’t sure how much you believed her. You knew James didn’t by his short breath, lingering in the hall as he shook his head like a disappointed father. There were no students around, leaving you to wallow in your failure in peace. Like yourself, it was highly probable that the last thing anyone wanted to do was return to the common room, though where you would go was a mystery.
“Someone ought to tell Remus,” Lily began, linking your arms together. “We’ll go to the Library or something.”
James met your eyes, softer now, though still ill at ease. “I’m so sorry,” he said, opening his mouth a few more times as if to speak further, though he did not.
“It’s okay,” you said, though you knew everyone could tell it was a lie.
You still couldn’t believe Zephyr had been in Gryffindor Tower, and that the others were walking around the castle right at this very moment. It made your skin crawl, your mind running over what you had heard two weeks ago, surrounded by the darkness of the castle in the early morning hours.
“No, It has to be her.”
Lily’s voice broke you from your trance, calm despite the circumstances, “Come on, lets go.”
She began to walk you towards the Library, Marlene hurrying alongside you, buzzing with continued anxiety.
In a moment, James rushed to catch up, calling over his shoulder to Sirius and Peter, “Go tell him for me!”
He met your eyes, unsteady behind his glasses. It was understood, at least for the present moment, what he meant by that single look. It would be even harder to shake him now: James, your new shadow. You decided that would allow it, just this once.
“What a happy Easter,” Marlene muttered, tucked away at a table between the bookshelves.
There was no one else around, your spot far from the main study areas. Your heart was beating so quickly that all you could manage to do was sit and stare at the wall, forcing yourself not to spiral even further than you already had. James was beside you like a watchdog, his wand in his hand as if someone would come from around the corner any moment, ready to attack you in your state of vulnerability.
Marlene's head fell into her hand, whispering to no one in particular, “What are they thinking?”
“There has to be a reasonable explanation,” Lily said, gnawing at her lip. “Dumbledore wouldn’t allow anyone dangerous in Hogwarts un—”
“Seems like he will,” James interrupted, his disgust with the Headmaster plainly evident.
The silence that preceded was deafening, punctuated by James’s hand tightening around his wand. You didn’t know what to say, caught up in your own internal ponderings. You agreed, at least in part, with each of them. Dumbledore might very well let someone dangerous into Hogwarts, though as Lily pointed out, he must’ve had his reasons. Still, this did little to make you feel safe, even more so considering the fact that no one thought to inform you of their return. Marlene was right, what were they thinking?
You looked at James’s profile, his head down turned towards the table. It was dark in this part of the Library, though not dark enough to conceal the frown deepening on his lips.
As if feeling your eyes, he turned to you, a resolve creased in his brows. “We’re practicing every day this week,” he said, keeping his voice low, though it did not betray his sense of will, already refuting any of your protests.
You didn’t answer, your lip pulling on one side, though he took it as you meant it: an agreement.
Moving through the shelves, Sirius and Peter came around the corner, Remus in tow. His skin was pale, almost gray, as sickly as you expected. There was an exhaustion to him, one that seemed to permeate into his bones, inescapable even with a hundred years of sleep. Instantly, Marlene stood from her chair, offering it to him. To your surprise, Remus took it, placing his hands on the tabletop to help him.
“How’re you feeling?” Lily asked.
His eyes dropped, shrugging weakly. “I’ve had worse.”
“You didn’t have to come down here,” you said, the guilt of it all beginning to wear away at you. It was bad enough they all were here, much less Remus, who should’ve been in bed getting his strength back.
“We tried to stop him,” said Sirius, his face like it always was when he looked at Remus in this state. His eyes held an insatiable longing to help, but without much he could do.
“So, the Slytherin’s are back too?” Remus whispered, ignoring the fuss.
“Seems as though,” Lily said.
“Guess they didn’t want them to miss the feast,” Peter mumbled, leaning against the shelves.
“We can’t just go on as normal, right?” Marlene began, her hands splayed out on the table in a fit of partially-controlled panic. “They’re in half of her classes for Godric’s sake.”
You shrunk away a bit, your hands wringing in your lap. You hadn’t thought about that yet, too caught up with the sight of Zephyr in the common room. With another week of no classes, you had yet to consider the fact that at least one of them was in every single one, save for Divination.
Lily hummed in thought, her bottom lip now red. “We can try to bring it up at the next Prefect’s meeting. Maybe we could ask Annabelle and Quincy what’s going on. They might actually know.”
Annabelle and Quincy were the seventh year Prefects for Slytherin. Each were fairly tame when it came to blood purity propaganda, hence their positions, though trustworthy was a whole other conversation.
“Some of the others asked as much last week,” Remus began, his throat still a bit hoarse, “but they didn’t seem to know more than anyone else, though they could’ve been lying.”
After a beat Sirius sighed, his hands coming to his hips. “All right,” he said, surveying your sullen group, “looks like we’re going out tonight.”
⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓
With the help of the map, you avoided Zephyr and the Slytherin’s all day, giving James, Sirius, Remus, and Peter plenty of time to make up a plan. It was fairly rudimentary, simple though effective. You all gathered in the RoR late that evening, forgoing the Easter party raging in the common room. Sirius explained that they would sneak into the Slytherin dormitories to snoop around Mulciber, Wilkes, and Snape’s room in the hopes of finding some clues as to what was going on. If this proved ineffective, Sirius had some Veritaserum saved for a special occasion, much to Lily’s horror.
“That’s illegal,” she scolded. “You can’t just go around spiking people's drinks with a truth serum, you’ll be arrested.”
“Only if they find out,” Sirius said, offended at the notion he was unable to pull off such a stunt.
“McGonagall is already onto us. It’s too much of a risk to go after them now,” Lily countered.
“She’s right,” you said, staring between him and James. “Just snoop for tonight, then we’ll figure out the rest.”
Remus looked somewhat relieved when James, Sirius, and Peter nodded, though not without a great degree of disappointment. They were always eager to mess with a Slytherin, far too eager according to Lily.
“Do you know what room they’re in?” Lily asked, clearly still nervous about the whole affair.
Sirius cocked his head, waving her off. “Of course we do, we have the map.”
“This is rookie stuff,” said James, smiling in the same way he did before a quidditch match, completely sure of his own success. “I could do it in my sleep.”
“You might have to. What time is it, anyway?” Marlene said through a yawn.
“Quarter after two,” Lily answered, still far too jittery for someone who wouldn’t actually be going into the Slytherin common room. “Are we sure there isn’t another way—”
“Yes,” James and Sirius said in unison.
“Don’t worry, I’ll reign them in,” said Remus, unfolding the map. He scanned it over, his eyes darting across it as he flipped a few pages.
“Are they all there?” James asked, peeking over his shoulder.
“Mulciber and Wilkes are in the common room, but Snape is in his room.”
“Of course he is,” James mumbled.
“C’mon,” Sirius began, moving towards the door, “let’s hit it.”
Just as James was about to leave, you ran over, stopping him halfway through the door. You couldn’t speak for a moment, caught up in the sight of his eyes, a warm brown in the low light.
“You really won’t let me come?” you whispered.
When they explained the plan to you, James had made it perfectly clear he wanted you as far from the Slytherin common room as possible. You had tried to argue, but to no avail. You only hoped your begging would work in the final hour.
His brows relaxed, looking at you with far too much pity. In that moment, you wanted him to stay forever, here in the RoR, lounging amongst the old, tattered armchairs, dancing through the piles. It was a sweet dream, though they rarely, if ever, came true.
“We’ll be back soon,” he said, just loud enough for you to hear. “Stay here and wait for me.”
You nodded, your chest aching as he turned to leave. I’m always waiting for you.
An hour later, the door to the RoR burst open, slamming closed as the four boys threw themselves inside. Peter leaned against it, wheezing as he caught it breath. Remus wasn’t fairing much better, his hands to his knees with his head hung. You, Lily, and Marlene popped up from your chairs, rushing towards them.
“What happened?” Marlene asked, her voice high pitched and hurried.
“Filch,” Sirius answered.
“The bloody cat tried to kill me,” Peter said, looking as if he had seen a troll.
You went over to James, who had tossed the cloak onto the floor, frantically feeling around the pockets of his jeans. “What’s wrong?”
He didn’t answer, glancing between Remus and Sirius in a frenzy. “Does one of you have the map?”
They all felt around in their pockets, coming up empty.
“Who had it?” James continued, his eyes narrowed.
Remus shook his head. “I didn’t.”
“Neither did I,” Peter said quickly, more frightened than you had ever seen him before.
James’s cheeks began to grow red, his jaw tight as he stared at Sirius.
“I didn’t have it,” Sirius scoffed, motioning to Remus and Peter. “Must’ve been one of you—”
“Okay, let’s calm down a minute,” Remus said, though his efforts were in vain.
Sirius took a step towards James with a scowl. He looked like a kettle ready to whistle, the steam just about shooting from his ears. “Maybe you had it.”
“Keep it down,” Lily hushed. “It doesn’t matter who dropped it. Let’s just retrace your steps—”
“I know it wasn’t me,” James said, his eyes piercing as they stared back into Sirius’s.
“Well, I know it wasn’t me,” Sirius gritted.
“Stop it,” you said, trying to force your voice to take on some form of authority, though it did little. James’s eyes were still fixed upon Sirius, who had crossed his arms in defiance.
The only sound was Sirius and James’s short, angry breaths, cutting through the RoR like knives. Peter swallowed, his gaze down towards the floor.
Remus rubbed the heels of his hands into his eyes, his sigh breaking up some of the festering rage slowly permeating every corner of the room. “C’mon, lets just look for it.”
James turned away, a hand hanging off the neck of his shirt.
“Did you find anything?” Lily asked softly.
“No,” Sirius answered. “Mulciber and Wilkes didn’t say anything, and Snive— Snape was doing homework.”
James looked between Lily and Marlene, soon settling on you. He dropped his hand, his hardened face relaxing just a fraction. “We’ll walk you guys back, there’s no use staying up while we look for it.”
“We’ll help,” you said, knowing it was folly to think James would let you wander around the castle at night given what had occurred over the past twelve hours.
“You shouldn’t be out now, not without the map,” he said, moving to the door.
Lily gave you a look, telling you it was better not to argue, and for once you agreed.
“We can go alone. It’s only just down the corridor,” Lily said.
To your surprise James nodded, his shoulders still tensed as you parted ways, casting another glance in your direction before he disappeared into the shadows. An awful feeling brewed deep inside of you, churning in the pit of your stomach. Even as your mind raced, you didn’t miss the look Marlene gave you, her brows raised in an acknowledgment of what she surely thought was an expression of James’s supposed love. You rolled your eyes, turning away with a sigh and very warm cheeks.
⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓
When you woke up Monday morning, you knew you had to speak with Mary. She had already been made aware that you and James made up, though it didn’t take a genius to see you two spending time together again after your stint of separation. You were sure she must have heard of Zephyr’s return, meaning Mulciber was back as well. Once a target of his malice, Mary had every right to be updated on what was happening.
You saw her tucked away by the bookshelves in the common room, surrounded by her sixth year friends. Leaving Lily and Marlene, you went over alone, hoping she was faring well despite the circumstances.
“Hey, Mary,” you said with a measly smile. “Could we talk?”
“Sure,” she said, excusing herself before you led her towards the girl’s dormitories. You went up to your room, the only place safe enough to discuss the matter at hand.
“I’m sure you’ve heard Zephyr’s back,” you began. “We went to McGonagall yesterday. They all are, apparently.”
Mary nodded, moving to sit on Dorcas’s bed. “I figured.”
You sat across from her on Marlene’s, your hands fiddling in your lap. “She wouldn’t tell us anything, only that they weren’t a problem and we should leave them alone. James asked to speak with Dumbledore, but I doubt that will happen. I don’t know why they let them come back, or where they were to begin with.”
“Do you think she’s right?” Mary asked, her eyes searching yours in a mild desperation, wanting for answers you didn’t have.
“I don’t know,” you said honestly. You couldn’t lie to her, even if you wanted to. “James is trying to teach me how to duel. You can join us, if you’d like.”
“That's okay, they haven’t bothered me in a while. I think they might’ve forgotten I existed,” she laughed, though it was heavy, lacking any humor. “Thanks, though.”
“If we find out anything, I’ll tell you right away. Last night they went snooping in the Slytherin dormitory, but they didn’t find anything.”
Mary perked up a bit, her smile a bit more genuine. “Did they at least prank them?”
“No, we stopped them,” you said, mirroring her expression despite the hellacious nature of it all. “McGonagall warned us about doing something to them. It’s no use getting in trouble when it won’t do us much good in the end.”
“Still, it would’ve been nice.”
You shook your head, standing up to walk Mary back down. “Dorcas is rubbing off on you.”
Lily and Marlene were waiting for you at the bottom of the stairs, the latters arms crossed as she leaned against the wall, scanning the common room. Mary went back to sit with her friends, still as uneasy as when you found her.
“He’s not here,” Lily said, glancing over at Marlene, “but she’s on the prowl.”
Marlene sneered as she continued to survey the room like a cat ready to pounce. “Without Dorcas around, someone has to step up. Let’s just hope the ghoul stays where he is.”
“Have you seen the guys?” you asked Lily.
“No,” she said.
Marlene kicked off the wall, rolling her eyes. “This is ridiculous. Yesterday, James was in a fucking twist over you being alone—”
“They’re probably out looking for it,” you said, cutting her off from bringing attention to James’s newfound fear for your safety. Warily, you glanced at Lily, though her expression was unreadable, lost in thought. You hoped she hadn’t put much weight in Marlene’s comment, which you would be chastising her for later.
Not unlike the previous evening, Sirius, Remus, and Peter all rushed into the common room like a stampede, creating a great deal of commotion for just three people. Sirius’s long hair was in his eyes, Peter pushing him to the side as he tripped over his own feet. Remus watched the two in their struggle, though he was in quite a state himself, stepping around the frenzy to free his legs.
“Black!” Lily called.
They all turned to look at the three of you, their eyes widening. Sirius sprinted over, pushing himself between you and Marlene.
“He’s with Dumbledore!” he whispered, completely frantic. Peter and Remus came up behind him, joining your small huddle.
You tried to think of the reason McGonagall would suddenly change her mind. She wasn’t the type of person to go back on her answers, especially when it was “no.”
Lily’s brows furrowed, likely with the same thought. “James?”
“Who else?” Sirius said.
“When did he go up there?” Lily asked, ignoring his sarcasm.
“A half hour ago,” Remus said, his voice hushed. “We were waiting for him to come back out by the stairs, but it's taking so long we went to the common room to see if you were here.”
“Wait, why didn’t one of you stay by the entrance in case he came out?” you said, your eyes darting between them.
They looked at each other as well, all considering what you had said with varying degrees of realization.
“Ugh…” Sirius began, “we didn’t think of that.”
“You never found it?” Marlene asked, moving on to more important matters.
“Filch has to have it, we just can’t figure out where,” Remus said.
“He’s getting better at hiding stuff,” said Peter, his mouth pulled to one side.
“Sir Nicolas found us coming back from searching his office this morning. He’s the one that told us Dumbledore wanted to speak with James,” Remus continued.
“Where's the cloak?” you whispered, noting the fact that none of them were carrying the rather large piece of shimmering fabric.
“My pockets are charmed,” Sirius began, “but we don’t have time for this, we have to go.”
“He’s not torturing him,” Marlene said, though it didn’t matter. You all dashed back to the portrait hole, not bothering to notice all your classmates watching your odd group as you left.
You took the seventh floor shortcut to the grand staircase, popping out at the first floor. You went up another story, making the long trek over to the west side of the castle. Students watched as you all bolted past, skidding around corners until you finally made it to the long, vacant corridor.
Remus stopped walking when he saw what was ahead, or rather what wasn’t ahead.
“Where is it?” you said, running down the corridor towards where the golden gargoyle once stood. Now it was only a blank wall, devoid of any indication this had once been the entrance to the Headmaster’s office.
“We were just here,” Peter said, walking up beside you.
“Where the fuck did it go?” Sirius cried, throwing his hands against the wall. He pressed into it, feeling around the edges of the stone, though nothing occurred.
“Does it change location?” Lily asked.
Remus hummed, still staring at Sirius’s futile search. “It never has before, at least in my experience.”
Sirius gave it a hearty kick, spinning around with exacerbated huff. “Of course the bloody office has to move now.”
“Maybe we have the wrong floor,” Peter said.
“We don’t have the wrong floor,” Sirius droned, beginning to walk aimlessly in circles.
“It was just a suggestion,” Peter said, growing short with Sirius, who had thus far done little to conceal his annoyance. “You’re just kicking the wall!”
“You’re a real fucking git sometimes, Wormtail—”
“Shut it,” Lily said, her eyes narrowed at both of them. “Let’s regroup. Obviously there has to be another entrance, so we should just look for it. Marlene can cover the ground floor, Remus first, Peter third, Sirius fourth and fifth, and Y/N and I sixth and seventh.”
“Why am I with you?” you asked.
“You know why,” Lily sighed. “We can’t have you running around alone, especially now.”
“I can’t avoid them forever. We have classes in a week, and Zephyr is in our house. I’ll have to face them eventually.”
Lily pursed her lips, hesitant despite your newfound confidence. “I still think you ought to—”
“Lily,” you said, reaching in your pocket to pull out your wand. You held it in your hand, remembering for the first time in a while that you were a Gryffindor. She’s practically useless without someone there to protect her. “I’ll be all right.”
Her eyes darted away as she thought, drifting warily down to your wand. After a moment, she looked back up at you with a single nod. “You take seventh, then.”
You met her eyes, giving her a small smile of thanks before you all began back down the corridor towards the west wing staircase.
“What do we do if we find it, or James?” Marlene asked.
“We can meet back up on this floor if you don’t find it, or if you find James,” Remus began, “but if you find the entrance and James isn’t there, stay where you are.”
“Bossy today,” Sirius mumbled, though Remus paid him no attention.
You left Lily on the sixth floor platform, running up another story and down the wing before taking a left towards the tower. The gargoyle was just as you remembered it, imposing where it stood at the end of the corridor. With a great deal of relief you ran up to it, though the wall behind it was closed with no sign of James. You paced before it, trying to remember the password McGonagall had said a few weeks ago, though you knew it’d be a longshot.
“Chocolate cake, chocolate eclair…candy corn?” You shook your head, side-eyeing the gargoyle as its gaze seemed to follow you. You turned away, your fists balling as you racked your brain. “Cherry! It was something cherry, right?” In your excitement you turned to the gargoyle again, though you were only met with its stony face, its mouth resting in a way that seemed to mock your attempts. You continued in your efforts, your feet clicking against the stone floor, “Cherry cobbler, cherry galette? No, cherry clafoutis!”
You jumped back as the gargoyle took a step out of the way, the wall moving open. You were grinning proudly, ready to stride up to the spiral staircase before it began to shift. Fearing Dumbledore himself would walk down to meet you, questioning why you had attempted to break into his office, you whipped around, ready to escape back into the west wing before James shouted your name behind you.
“Godric!” you yelped, freezing as your hand came to your chest. After your momentary shock, you rushed back towards him, nearly running straight into his chest. “We’ve been looking for you, but the entrance moved—”
“Are we on the seventh floor?” James said, looking around. “And why are you out alone?”
“We are,” you began, “and I am perfectly capable of being out alone. We should go, though, the others are probably waiting for us by now.”
You went to leave, though he grabbed your wrist, pulling you back. “Wait, he gave me something,” he said, holding out in his other hand a chocolate egg, decorated in multicolored foil.
“An Easter egg?”
James unwrapped it, balling up the foil and shoving it into his pocket before cracking it open. He broke off a few pieces, a small scrap of pink parchment falling onto the floor. You picked it up as he popped a piece of chocolate in his mouth, peering over your shoulder as you went to read it.
You are cordially invited to afternoon tea at Frank and Alice Longbottom’s, 749 Mandrake Lane, Upper Topton, on Sunday, 2nd of July at precisely four o’clock. You are encouraged to bring your closest companions. We hope to see you there.
“Seven forty-nine Mandrake Lane, Upper Topton, the second of July, four o’clock” James said, saying it for a second time, and then a third.
You turned to look at him, watching as he mumbled the same phrase around his thumb to lick some chocolate off. “Why are you repeating it?”
“I’d put five galleons on it disappearing,” he said, watching the parchment.
Just as he predicted, the words slowly faded, the parchment blank in a matter of seconds.
“Seven forty-nine Mandrake Lane, Upper Topton, the second of July, four o’clock,” he muttered, his eyes darting to yours. “Remember it?”
“Seven forty-nine Mandrake Lane, Upper Topton, the second of July, four o’clock” you said, your brows furrowing.
You remembered quite vividly McGonagall’s complete dismissal of his request to speak with the Headmaster, though it seemed as though she had nothing to do with it, given the fact that Nick had brought him here. Then, he comes back with a message in vanishing ink from your Headmaster, one which appeared to be a simple invite to a friendly catching-up-over-afternoon-tea.
You handed him back the paper which was now largely useless, save for proof that any of it had happened.
“Frank and Alice, didn’t they graduate a while ago?” you asked.
“Yeah, I went to their wedding. My parents are old friends with Frank’s.”
Your palms were beginning to sweat, wondering what your Headmaster would have to do with two former students. “Do you have any idea what this is about?”
James leaned in closer, his breath falling against your cheek. “I think so, but I can’t tell you here.”
“RoR?”
He nodded, following you down the corridor towards the staircase.
“They’re waiting on the second floor. We checked every one for the entrance,” you explained.
He chuckled, shaking his head as you descended the stairs. “I didn’t know it moved, but so does everything in this castle.”
When you all got to the RoR, James explained what had happened with Dumbledore, relaying the note in full. What Dumbledore had actually said to him out loud amounted to very little in the long run. He had warned James not to do something that would cost him his spot as Head Boy, going on a bit about his father when he was a student before wishing him a happy Easter, handing him the egg and sending him on his way.
When he finished, James was just about the only one who didn’t look as if their brains had been scrambled to bits.
“Do you have any cigarettes on you?” you asked Sirius, suddenly feeling twitchy and in want of something to do with your hands.
He stared at you for a moment with pursed lips, grumbling as he rummaged around in his back pocket. Without a word he tossed you the pack, sighing as you took one out and lit it.
Lily’s foot was tapping on the floor, her eyes far off. “What do Frank and Alice have to do with us? They graduated when we were second years,” she paused, her eyes bouncing from person to person. “Were any of you close with either of them?”
“Not really, but my parents know Frank’s,” James answered. “But they’re both Aurors, bloody good ones at that. You know the rumors about people working on the outside, going behind Minchum and Crouch. After this, I’d bet they’re one of them.” James held up the slip of parchment, folded neatly back up into a square.
“What about Dumbledore? Do you think he’s,” you faltered, the implications too serious to say out loud.
“Probably,” James said, his gaze unwavering.
When you thought about it some more, it didn’t seem too far off that he would be involved in such an endeavor. You weren’t sure what he thought of Minchum, though the current Minister for Magic wasn’t exactly popular at the moment. Someone like Dumbledore might very well think he wasn’t doing enough to snuff out the Death Eaters, as was the general consensus.
James didn’t speak for a moment, staring into your eyes. “What’re you thinking?”
“I have no clue,” you said, reeling with the influx of information as you took another long drag.
“Well, I’m coming,” said Sirius, seeming to grow tired of all the talk. “If it’s just a tea party, we can leave early.”
“How can we be sure that's what this is all about?” Lily said, staring at Sirius and James as if they were mad. “What if it’s some sort of trap? You said they were Aurors, for Godric’s sake.”
“It’s Dumbledore,” James said, throwing up a hand, “why would he send us into a trap?”
Remus ran his tongue over his teeth, letting out a long breath. “I’m in.”
“Me too,” Marlene said, standing just a little taller than before.
You turned to James, trying to take in some of his tenacity. “I’ll be there.”
He smiled, just enough to tell you he was proud. You hated the way you glowed, light under his gaze.
“I guess I will, too,” Lily sighed, crossing her arms as she shot a dissatisfied look around the room. “But if it’s a trap, I’m going to be really cross with all of you.”
“It’s not a trap—” Sirius went on.
You turned around, chuckling at their bickering as you flicked some ash into a vase. As you did, you were suddenly struck with something you had completely forgotten about during the chaos, spinning back around with wide eyes.
“It’s your birthday!”
James shrugged, not at all bothered that at least you, Lily, and Marlene had neglected to say anything about it to him. “We have bigger problems than my birthday. We can do something when—”
“Absolutely not,” Lily said, turning to the others in shock. While wizards did not tend to place a significant amount of emphasis on the celebration, Lily still took it rather seriously. “Did you remember?”
“Of course we did,” Sirius scoffed. Remus nodded at the statement, running a hand through his hair.
“I have a gift for you and everything,” you said, frazzled as you remembered it, already wrapped underneath your bed.
James looked surprised, though that was to be expected. You had never gotten him a gift before, nor had you told anyone else you were doing so this year. It served the dual purpose of acting as a thank you for his help improving your dueling skills. Your face felt warm from the embarrassment of having made your unintended announcement, as you had hoped to keep the matter between you and James, at least for the time being.
“You did?” he asked.
“Yeah,” you said sheepishly, wishing you could sink into the floor. “You’ve been helping me out a lot lately and…”
“We’ll give you your presents tonight,” Lily said, walking to the door. “Would you like a cake or something else?”
On everyone's birthday, Lily always went down to the kitchens to politely request a dessert of their choice. She had done it for you, Dorcas, and Marlene since first year, staring with the others when she and James began to date. There was no use in trying to stop her, or do it yourself, so it was best to comply.
“I don’t want anything,” James said, though Lily was having none of it.
“He’d like a chocolate cake,” Sirius answered for him.
“That’s your favorite,” Marlene drawled, raising her brows.
Lily was still staring at James, waiting for his answer. “If you don’t tell me, I’ll ask for what you got last year.”
James sighed, his head tilting to the side as he thought. “Well, you can’t get me the treacle tart, it’s never as good as my mums.”
“No treacle tart is as good as your mums,” Sirius said, gazing longingly into the distance as if dreaming of Euphemia’s deserts.
“Just get me chocolate,” James said, laughing as Sirius made a show of delight. “Thanks, Lily.”
“My pleasure,” she said, slipping out the door.
⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓⌓
“Happy birthday dear James, happy birthday to you!”
You all gathered around James in the kitchen, his chocolate cake sitting in front of him at the table. The candles illuminated his face, flickering in the reflection of his glasses. Isby had thrown another fit when you all came down for dinner, since James insisted he would not have his cake without you, though she was eventually swayed.
“C’mon, mate, make your wish already,” Sirius said, antsy as he eyed the cake.
Marlene scowled, hitting him on the arm. “You’re always such a piece of work.”
James laughed, his eyes bright as they danced from Sirius to Peter, who was snickering at the argument. They met yours briefly, warm as honey before he closed them, blowing out his candles.
“Don’t ask me what I wished for, because I won’t tell you,” he said rather seriously.
“What a bore,” Marlene drawled.
Lily shook her head, cutting the cake and giving the first slice to James, despite the fact Sirius had been holding out his hand for the plate.
“Calm down,” she said, cutting another, “you’ll get yours eventually.”
As a present to yourself, you let your eyes linger on James, teasing Sirius as he took a bite. It was almost two years since you became friends, a year and a half since you started to grow nervous around him, and a month since you admitted to yourself that you loved him. You hoped that cards were right, though it was already starting to feel like they were. You had followed your heart, and now you were collaborating, seeking out the help of others…you would just have to wait and see what came next.

Sirius gets a bunch of various lethal presents from his family post-Prank, and each one is a message of “just do the killing yourself.” Bella sent a cursed set of knives that cause agony to whoever they’re used on, Narcissa sent along a bunch of poisons, Andromeda sent along some kind of enchanted communication method so she can alibi him out as well as more enchanted knives but these always hit the target, Regulus handed him a hand of glory after class one day and Sirius really wants to know why Regulus even had this thing (he stares at his brother for a couple seconds before just shrugging and thanking Regulus, and telling Regulus that he’ll let the Slytherin team win the Quidditch game this weekend as a thank you and Regulus very nearly beats his brother with that Hand of Glory because Slytherin doesn’t need victories just handed to them and they win on their own; Sirius raises an eyebrow and hums under his breath, and Regulus has to leave before he commits fratricide), and even their parents get in on the murder presents, sending on a bunch of Dark books that may not be banned but that’s more likely because nobody remembered they existed than anything else. The Marauders are sitting at the breakfast table, looking at these murder gifts Sirius just received with his mail, and none of them have a clue what to say, there’s no rule book for “your best friend’s bizarre and homicidal family just sent him a bunch of murder methods, right in front of your breakfast.” It’s totally silent at that part of the Gryffindor table, all of them staring at the gifts (aside from Sirius, who’s focusing on Narcissa’s letter that details the different poisons she sent)
sksksks imagining sirius dealing with the disappointment of not just his friends (which like, only really means remus lbr) but also his family.
the only difference (and quite a big one too) is that the former is because he tried to kill someone and the latter is because he didnt do it properly. which is obviously the bigger problem here. the blacks have got their priorities straight.
so, sirius is stuck in the middle juggling to diametrically opposing judgements. no wonder poor guy was so tortured. literally being pulled in two directions.
#yes yes im answering old asks :p#a round of applause for pen everyone#lets see how long the brain allows it to happen this time#bc i embark on this mission so frequently#and almost always fail too hehehe#i also think theres something so funny ab him receiving all this in front of others#turns out thats what thaws remus#who comes around to the whole thing#and realises snape dead wouldve actually been a net plus#and then he's disappointed in sirius for the same thing#s is just half horrified at this unintentional collusion#wonder if r would be more scarred to know hes agreeing with the devil (the blacks) or the other way around#james wants to tell them both to find out the answer#should i tag this as crack#its probably become that at this point lol#pen’s asks#the BFCU

hi maeeee!! can i request a poly! marauders where maybe reader is fighting with only one them and the others are shocked when they find out and try their very best to fix it even though things are quite tense? thanks maeeeee ilyyyy💐💐💐
Thanks for your patience with this one angel! It's not as angsty as I planned when I started writing it, but I hope you enjoy it <3
poly!marauders x fem!reader ♡ 1.8k words
It’s James who finds you this time. You’re curled up in a corner of the couch, pretending to read whilst secretly feeling sorry for yourself. Your boyfriend sits next to you, touching your shoulder so that you turn to him for a kiss.
“Still upset?” he asks after a peck.
You ignore the complicated, knotty feeling that makes itself known in your chest. “Not at you.”
“No, I know.” James smiles a little, gifting you another kiss. “I’d be coming in here with my tail between my legs if you were. I’d hate to be on the wrong side of either you or Rem’s wrath.”
You stay quiet. You wouldn’t go so far as to call what you’re feeling wrath—that seems a tad dramatic to describe the low flame of vexation you’ve been burning for your tallest boyfriend—but you don’t feel like opening yourself up to the subject with James. You’ve already heard it from Sirius this morning.
“Angel.” James gives your shoulder a cajoling squeeze. “Come on, when are the two of you going to get past this? It’s very awkward sleeping in the same bed with two people who are quarreling, you know.”
“We sleep exactly the same as every other night.”
“There’s underlying tension,” he counters lightly. You roll your eyes, and James laughs. “Oi, don’t get cross with me now, too. I’m just telling you about my lived experience.” He leans his head on your shoulder, all sweetness and treachery. “You’re really not gonna forgive him? You know he’s gonna stick you with Sirius in the divorce.”
You huff a laugh. James grins up at you hopefully. You know there’s some sense to what he’s saying; one of you has to be the bigger person eventually. It had started small, a stupid disagreement, but you and Remus are each stubborn and petty enough to not want to admit where you were wrong. Now you’re more angry with him for being angry with you than for anything else.
When you think of his coldness to you—never mind the fact that you’ve been cold to him in turn—that flame of vexation burns a little brighter.
“I don’t know why you’re over here trying to convince me,” you tell James. “I won’t have any problem forgiving him if he actually apologizes.”
James sighs. You look down at your book to avoid his disappointment.
“Okay, then. But he does feel really bad, so you know. He’s in the bedroom with one of his headaches, and he asked if you were still upset with him.” You look up. James levels you with a weighted look. “Could probably really use a cuddle, if you two were on good terms.”
James is at least only somewhat smug when you abandon your book to go to the bedroom. You pass Sirius in the hall, who gives you a smile and a firm peck on the lips, likely having just left Remus himself. You enter the bedroom expecting to see the curtains drawn, lights off, and your poorly boyfriend in bed, but instead Remus is standing, well lit by the daylight streaming in through the windows, book tented on the bed still made from this morning. He appears as though he was just on his way out.
“Erm, hi,” he says, brows pulled together in the middle. He looks to be studying you. “Are you alright?”
“Fine,” you answer, bemused. “Are…are you?”
“Yeah. Why wouldn’t I be?”
The door clicks shut behind you. You startle at the sound, not having closed it yourself. Then, you watch as a resigned sort of irritation comes over Remus’ features at the same time as it settles into you.
“Pricks.” He moves past you to the door, jiggling the handle. “It only locks from the inside, you twats.”
“Love you too,” comes Sirius’ voice. “You can come out after you kiss and make up.”
“And say you’re sorry!” adds James.
Remus scowls.
“Open it,” you tell him.
“What do you think I’m trying to do? One of them is holding it shut.”
“Let me try.”
“Be my guest.” Remus steps back, letting you have a go at the handle. By putting everything you have into it you manage to twist it, but you can’t get it open even an inch.
“Don’t hurt yourself, gorgeous.” Sirius sounds smug enough to make your face feel hot. “James is holding it on the other side here, a few more minutes and you’ll make him break a sweat.”
You let go of the handle with a huff, turning and stalking towards the bedroom window. You start moving the desk out of your way.
“Would you really rather climb out the window than be in a room with me?” asks Remus. You look over your shoulder, and he’s sitting on the bed, side-eyeing you with his back propped against the pillows.
“It’s not about you.” You shove your hip into the desk, budging it enough for you to get at the window latch. “They lied and made me feel all guilty just so they could lock us in here.”
“What’d they tell you?”
You try to get your fingernail behind the latch. “It doesn’t matter.”
“Sirius had me thinking you were quite upset.”
“Yeah, and probably that I was asking after you, right? James told me you had a bad headache.”
A chuckle. “That was enough to make you come in here looking so flustered?”
“My mistake,” you huff, but it turns to a short whimper when your nail breaks. “Christ, you’d think they’d make these easier to open. What if there was a fire?”
“Don’t go out the window,” Remus says calmly. “You’ll ruin your tights.”
You work another nail behind the latch. “I can’t just let them win.”
“Mm. That’s a bit of a problem for you, is it?”
A bitter coolness settles over you. You turn, crossing your arms. “Something to say?”
Remus picks up his book, cornering a page. “Just making an observation, is all.”
“Remus,” you say sternly. “Don’t act like you’re any better. You could’ve apologized at any time.”
Your boyfriend levels you with a look. “Would that really have made a difference?”
“Yes!”
“Honestly?” He looks like he doesn’t believe you. “All I have to do is say I’m sorry, and you’ll forget about all of this and be completely happy with me?”
You shake your head, bewildered. “…Yeah. I mean, I would want to know that you understood how you hurt my feelings, but yeah. Really, it’s not that complicated.”
Remus’ expression softens. “I do understand that, dove. Do you understand how you hurt mine?”
“I…” You find you can’t quite look at him. “I imagine it’s sort of similar. Because I’ve been cold to you.”
“And because you wouldn’t hear me out,” he says. It doesn’t sound like I told you so, not smug so much as gentle. “But it was a small thing to begin with, wasn’t it? I’m ready to be past it.”
You frown at him. “It’s not about the argument for me. I’m already past that, it’s just everything else.”
Remus considers you. “Would you come here, please?”
You swear you wouldn’t go if he didn’t sound so kind. But you find yourself with your legs curled underneath you on the bed in front of him, Remus coaxing your hands into his.
“I’m sorry I hurt your feelings,” he says sincerely, looking you in the eyes. “It was a silly argument, and I shouldn’t have been so stubborn.”
You chew the inside of your cheek, sizing up whether he means it. “I…also could have been less stubborn,” you admit begrudgingly. Your tone softens. “I’m sorry I hurt your feelings, too. I didn’t mean to.”
“I know, sweetheart.” Remus’ touch coasts from your hands up your arms as he pulls you closer to kiss your forehead. “Are we okay?”
“Yeah,” you say, mollified.
He smiles at you. “Hear that?” he says towards the door. “You can let us out now.”
There’s no response.
Remus frowns as you get out of bed, going to try the handle. The door comes open, revealing and empty hallway.
“Pricks,” Remus mutters.
You find your boyfriends in the living room, James flicking through channels on the telly while Sirius reads the back cover of your book. James notices you first.
“Oh, hello.” He grins at you as Sirius looks over. “All sorted, then?”
You’re half tempted to pretend you didn’t make up just to spite them. When you look over at Remus, you suspect he’s thinking the same thing.
“That was sort of mean, lying to me like that,” you say to James instead.
He looks a bit contrite, but Sirius says insouciantly, “You were never gonna do it by yourselves, babe. We weren’t ready to start divvying up the furniture because you wanted to have a row.”
You kiss your teeth. “I think I might be having a row with you now.”
“What, us?” James’ eyebrows rise above the frames of his glasses. “What for?”
“You lied to us both to make us feel bad,” Remus reminds him, “and then locked us in the bedroom.”
Sirius isn’t impressed. “Well, it wasn’t really locked, was it. If you’d gotten desperate, you could’ve taken it off the hinges. Or just checked again after a couple minutes.”
“She broke her nail trying to get the window open.”
You hold up your torn fingernail as proof. Sirius coos, reaching for your finger and bringing it to his lips while you scowl at him.
“Sorry, lovie. We had a plan to bring you food in a couple hours,” says James. “We were even going to let you out for bathroom breaks if you needed to go.”
“Really, you wrapped it up much quicker than we were expecting,” Sirius praises. He’s still holding your finger, drawing his thumb up and down the side in easy, consoling strokes. “We thought you’d ice each other out until supper at least. I’m quite proud of you.”
Remus scoffs.
“Oh, come now.” Sirius grins. “Give us a kiss.”
You roll your eyes but turn to Remus, extricating your finger from Sirius’ grasp to meet him in a chaste kiss.
The other boys cheer. “There we are!” James tilts his face up expectantly. “Now one for me.”
You and Remus exchange a look.
“No,” you say coolly, “I don’t think so.” The two of you go to sit on the far side of the couch, away from both Sirius and James with you curled against Remus’ side. He looks a tad smug as he puts his arm around you.
“Oi!” says Sirius. “Look what you’ve done, you’ve made James pull his sad puppy face. What do you have to say for yourselves?”
“You lied to us,” you say again, slowly, with emphasis, “and locked us in the bedroom.”
Sirius scoffs. “So dramatic.”
“Oh, that’s rich.”
“Will it help if we say sorry?” James asks meekly.
Remus looks at you. You shrug.
“Maybe,” he says. “You’re more than welcome to try and find out.”

JAMES POTTER | GENUINE
SUM. : your boyfriend finally takes a role who has a romantic interest but his expression is hardly convincing; only you can get a genuine reaction from him
LENGTH : 1.8k
TAGS : actor james potter au ; modern au ; muggle au ; singer reader au ; actor/director sirius black au ; actress marlene mckinnon au ; fluff ; celebrity couple goals ; james can't do romantic roles ; he's too loyal!
“CUT!” Sirius shouts and James drops his shoulders in disappointment, his expression of ‘hopeless love’ also slipping off his face. This is why he wasn’t suited for romantic roles. As Sirius shouts for everyone to take a short five-minute break, James catches Marlene sending him a sympathetic look before moving to her chair with the help of her make-up team, who lifted the heavy skirt of her wedding dress for easier movement. “Come on James, what’s gotten into you?” Sirius asks, making his way over as Remus touches up James’ hair and suit.
“I’m trying Sirius,” the actor sighs, “I think I just need a break to collect myself and then I can finally get that winning take for you,”
“You better,” Sirius playful threatens, “I know you’re a lovesick fool so I know the type of infatuated expressions you can pull. Just try to emulate that and you’re golden, okay?”
‘It’s not that easy if it isn’t her…’ James was tempted to protest but settled with a simple, “Okay…” satisfied, Sirius walks away with Remus to discuss some things with the camera crew while James leans against the set’s alter.
As an actor, James should find it easy to perform his characters’ expressions and emotions, his stardom and recurring roles in thriller, action and adventure films were a sentiment to that. However, his current role requires romantic displays, something he had actively avoided in his acting career.
Characters that had passionate, romantic and intimate scenes were roles James tended to avoid primarily due to his endless loyalty to you, his childhood sweetheart. As young teens, you and James fell in love long before your successes. Since then, you have only grown a deeper love for each other, fostered by the hardships that came with your dreams of becoming a singer and his of becoming an actor with Sirius.
His best friend eventually divulged into directing his own films whilst James continued expanding his career as an actor — as much as he’s able to with the number of scripts he’s dropped for their romantic interests and amorous scenes. It didn’t sit right with him having to kiss another girl let alone look lovingly at someone that wasn’t you. He felt like a cheat. Many, including Sirius, however, have told him that it was part of his job but James was insistent on making no exceptions. He respected you and the love you shared too much. The same way you would play your own love interest in music videos while wearing a short wig and masculine attire. It was a show of mutual respect you both had for the other before and after your relationship became public.
The only reason James had taken on this role was due to Sirius’ insistence as the director, the lack of intimate scenes as well as the dominating adventure, and fantasy genre. It would all be underpinned by small heartfelt moments with his character’s love interest played by his close friend Marlene McKinnon. The two characters’ love story will end in tragedy, haunted by the trope of ‘right person, wrong time’. James believed he could convincingly play his loving expressions only brought on by you in the rare, romantic moments his character shares with Marlene’s but it’s proving harder than he originally thought. Simply thinking about you wasn’t enough…
Mulling over his character’s story, James imagines you in Marlene’s place. He only had three minutes remaining to focus on how he should convey his character’s ‘hopeless love’ convincingly.
To concentrate, he closes his eyes and thinks deeply, ignoring the sudden scuffle and whispers around him. On an adventure to rescue his unrequited love’s significant other, James selflessly volunteers to aid in her quest, protecting her and cherishing her throughout the arduous journey, putting his life at risk for a girl who would never love him back. Unselfishly, he continues forward without drawing any attention to the deep love he holds for her, the audience kept in suspense of his mysterious ambitions— that is, until the dream sequence. In his sleep, influenced by the surrounding, foreign plants’ effects, James dreams of his ideal future, one where he gets to marry his love, who will reciprocate his feelings wholeheartedly. It’s the moment all audience members realise James’ true motivations, encouraging a swell of heartache amongst them when they are forced to accept the reality his own character is made to face: that he cannot be with his love no matter despite his efforts. Her heart belongs to another and if he were to fall for the plant’s trap, he will never wake up from his heavenly dream-come-true and become living fertilsier to continue the plant’s life. The heartache of that realisation is further emphasised when James doesn’t stop loving her in his own, silent and benevolent way.
This is going to be a big moment for James’ character; he needs to put his all into this!
Before he has the chance to open his eyes, however, James is already being led to his spot on the set by Remus. The brunette informs him that the short break is over and instructs him to start before his turn to face Marlene.
“Again, the shot’s focus will be on your face, James, Make it a good one,” Sirius instructs from his director’s chair and, with a small pause cues for the start of the hundredth take.
Opening his eyes gradually, as if waking up from a dream, James takes a moment to analyse his surroundings. He meets the eyes of his groomsmen, shooting them a confused look before slowly turning and raising his gaze. He’s become familiar with Marlene in her wedding dress now so her off-centred placement doesn’t deter him. He also fully trusts in the team, if they saw it fit to make any changes, he’ll help follow through. Marlene is only slightly off centre, he realises, to accommodate the camera’s view of his expression more clearly. James fully expects to only see Marlene, however, when he finally raises his gaze, in the distance, he sees you by the camera.
And James immediately smiles.
He completely forgets where he is, rather, he savours the warmth that fills his chest at the sight of you, the burst of elation in his brain when he sees you smiling at him, dressed in his oversized sweater and your casual jeans. You’re not in a wedding dress nor dolled up the same way Marlene is for the take but you’re just as gorgeous. There’s a tingling itch in his fingertips to reach out for you and he almost does but stops when he remembers where he is and what’s happening around him. His look of sweeping joy and deep affection falters ever so slightly but is completely captured by the camera’s close-up shot. James’ internal berating of another failed performance barely begins when Sirius is suddenly cheering in delight.
“CUT! AND PRINT!” Sirius claps and laughs at the success but James is left blinking in confusion. Did he hallucinate you? He looks in your direction again. No, you weren’t a figment of his imagination, you’re really here! “Finally! That was what I was looking for! Great idea on putting her beside the camera, Moony,”
Remus nods his head in graceful humility as you giggle from where you stand. You had planned a surprise visit for James and called Remus beforehand for access to the set. It was the perfect surprise considering you had barely seen each other the last few weeks; he was busy filming with Sirius and Marlene while you were recording songs for your new, up-and-coming album. That only seemed to add to James’ favourable reaction, however.
“BREAK!” Sirius announces with a wink directed at you, “Let's give the two love birds a moment, as thanks for finally getting the job done. Let’s give it ten!” it seemed as though succeeding after multiple failures had made Sirius a little too happy and laidback but who was James to complain? As Marlene knowingly smirks at him, he runs past and launches himself at you. With a squeal, you return his embrace and giggle into his shoulder.
“I missed you…” he whispers into your crown.
“Surprise!” you announce despite the lateness and giggle again. Music to his ears.
“Thanks for helping me with my scene, love,” he pulls away with deep affection swimming in his hazel eyes and he cups your jaw while resisting the urge lean in and kiss you endlessly. He loves the sound of your voice just as much as the feel of your lips against his own so, for now, he’ll willing listen. He can taste your sweet lips later.
“I didn’t really know what was happening but I’m happy to help,”
“You’re so cute,” he sighs and finally pulls you into passion-filled kiss before you can utter another word. "I can't believe you're my lady,"
"Your lady?"
"Yes," James giggles and kisses your cheek again and again and again, "my lady, the same way, I'm your man,"
"Mmm, sounds good," you utter against his lips, "I'll have to feature you in my new music video then~"
⋅˚₊‧ ଳ ‧₊˚ ⋅ ⋅˚₊‧ ଳ ‧₊˚ ⋅
“...tell me about that scene. It was such a big moment for the audience and your character. How did you manage to look so in love but then so heartbroken?” the interviewer asks, smiling but tilting his head in curiosity when Marlene burst out laughing.
“Oh, this is such a good story!” James looks away, unable to meet his co-star and friend’s mischievous smirk and glimmering eyes, “Can I tell him?” she doesn’t even give him the chance to answer before ingeminating the tale, “James couldn’t get that moment right for multiple takes. We were all getting tired of him, really. But since Sirius knew he was capable of being a love-drunk fool, he persisted for over an hour! And this is just for a one minute section of the film!” James finally chuckles despite his flustered expression when Marlene makes a side comment about how the wedding dress was a chore to wear for such an extended period of time and didn’t appreciate James’ slow uptake, “there wasn’t even an after-party for me to let loose in, my supposed ‘groom’ had his brain elsewhere,” the two share a laugh and James picks up on the story.
“Elsewhere, meaning my girlfriend. She actually planned a surprise visit during filming and was brought in by Remus. He put her right by the camera and the reaction you saw on film was my reaction to seeing her instead of Marlene.” his co-star coos at how adorable he is whenever he’s around you and gossips with the interviewer about how cute of a couple the two of you make behind the scenes.
“Is that why you’ve become her love interest in the music videos for her new album?” the interviewer asks impromptu. He’s on the edge of his seat and is a clear fan of your music, which makes James happier than if the man was to say he was a fan of him.
“Naturally,” James smiles to himself, “she did say I was the inspiration for her love ballads,”
NAVI.

hi lovie !
I ADORE your writing and get so excited everytime you post 😭
I wanted to ask if you’re okay with writing a poly!marauders x reader fic where r is an overthinker and over analyzes small things. It brings r to think the boys are mad at reader so r begins to close off— happy ending w/ healthy communication, just them reassuring r
🤍you can absolutely ignore this!!
thank you baby! I'm so glad to have you here with me 😭 thanks for your request 🫶
poly!marauders x fem!reader
CW: insecurities, overthinking, belief of conflict, eventual healthy communication skills, men behaving rationally (that's how you know it's fiction) jkjkjkjkjk 👀
You knew you were overthinking; you could actually hear yourself spiraling as you chewed aggressively on your cuticles. You ran through every single interaction you and the boys had throughout the past few days and couldn’t help but come to the same conclusion every time.
They were mad at you.
And even saying it aloud made you feel silly because, really, what could you have possibly done that would have managed to upset all three of them without knowing about it?
There had been a few disagreements between the four of you since the beginning of the relationship; more specifically since you had joined the relationship.
The boys, it seemed, went through most of their more volatile fights prior to you meeting them.
But that didn’t mean there weren’t arguments. There were always differences of opinions, some hurt feelings, and learning everyone’s sensitivities and love languages etc. didn’t happen overnight; it took time.
One thing you were particularly thankful for was that you had yet to ever feel like the boys were ‘ganging up’ on you. Your argument always stayed between you and the participant of the conversation and everyone else opted to stay out of it unless they felt they could provide some helpful insight.
But for all of them to be mad at you without some big blow up happening? You couldn't imagine what would have caused it.
It wouldn’t have been anything you said or done to Sirius, as he was a very head strong person who preferred to face things upfront and head on. If you had done something wrong to Sirius, you would have heard about it.
James was a wild card since he usually wore his feelings on his sleeve, but he also had a tendency to paint a smile on his face and smile through the pain in order to keep the peace.
Remus was often stoic and the voice of reason, but you also knew he could be incredibly sensitive.
Oh god... had you done something to upset Remus? You must have...it’s the only rational explanation. He’d likely be telling Sirius not to say anything to you, and since Sirius struggled in biting his tongue, it would make sense that he opt for the “if you have nothing nice to say, don’t say anything at all” route.
And though James did tend to smile through the pain in order to keep the peace, he was also fiercely protective of his people – particularly when those people don’t seem inclined to stand up for themselves.
Oh god. Is this why they asked you to come over tonight? They wanted to talk to you...no, they wanted to break up with you.
By the time James opened the door, you had forgotten you even knocked. He was all bright smiles until he took in your form – he was disappointed to see you.
“Hello, honey. Come on in.” He said, though his words were stilted, sounding oddly scripted and rehearsed.
“Hey sweets!” Sirius called from somewhere in their flat, “have you eaten yet?”
“Yeah.” You called back, having to clear your throat when your voice came out gravelly. You could feel James’ eyes burning a hole into the side of your face.
“Moony’s running late from work, but he’ll be home soon.” James announced as he ushered you into the living room.
You scanned your surroundings, cataloguing everything like it might be your last time in here.
You found signs of Remus’ love of trinkets and the oddities everywhere you looked, as well as signs of James and Sirius feeding into that by bringing him home things they’ve found as well. There’s a small pewter fox you bought on your trip to the coast sitting on one of the shelves of his bookcase.
Picture frames lined the walls; evidence of Sirius’ love for photography, his camera, and his favourite people.
And the god-awful pillow James found at an estate sale and insisted it have a place on the couch. It was ugly, it was lumpy, it didn’t match with anything else in the space, but it was James’ and he loved it.
Sirius came bounding into the room and rubbed at James’ shoulder affectionately, pecking a quick kiss to the crown of your head in hello before breezing by to head to the kitchen.
“He just got a home a few moments ago, he’s gonna heat up some leftovers for him and for Remus when he gets home.” James explained.
“Do you want any, doll?” Sirius called.
“No, I’m okay. Thank you!” You tried your best to sound upbeat while a horrid feeling settled in your stomach.
James seemed to feel just as awkward as you did; keeping his eyes dutifully on you whilst trying to appear that he wasn’t. His leg bounced anxiously underneath him as he leaned onto the arm of the grandfather chair he sat in – across the room from you.
It may as well have been an ocean worth of distance with the way it left you feeling.
Sirius returned to the living room a few moments later and made himself comfortable on the other end of the couch from you, kicking his feet up onto the coffee table after placing a glass of water directly on the coffee table. You wanted to chide him, knowing Remus would have him by the bollocks if he saw, but you didn’t know if it was your place anymore.
Sirius asked you how your day at work was and you offered him a vague “oh it was alright. Long. How about yours?” which started him on a long tangent about some of his more colourful customers today and how tiresome he found people in general. He and James shared some quips and anecdotes about worst moments in their various retail experiences, and you thought about how much you were going to miss this.
“Okay, what is going on?” Sirius snapped abruptly, causing your head to shoot up so quickly that you heard it crack.
“Huh?” You asked sheepishly.
Sirius’ brows furrowed as he stole a glance at James before turning back to you. “You’re being weird...what’s going on with you?”
But you didn’t get a chance to answer when the sound of the front door alerted everyone to Remus’ arrival. You hated that you visibly tensed at the sound of him moving down the hall.
“Hey bubs. Is she here?” You heard him ask James, since you and Sirius couldn’t yet see him nor he you from his position in the hall way.
You felt your face scrunch up miserably and quickly brought your hands up to shield your face, choking out a silent sob.
“Yeah.” James responded, though his voice was but a whisper as Sirius added a “whoa” at the same time.
“What did you guys do?” Remus cooed and made his way towards you having spotted your distress.
“I’m sorry.” You muttered miserably, both for whatever you’d done to cause this conflict between the four of you and also for your embarrassing display of emotions.
“What are you sorry for, dovey?” Remus asked softly as he knelt in front of you, gently taking your wrists and coaxing them away from your face.
“For upsetting you all.”
Remus’ brows furrowed beyond their worried state and into a more confused state as he turned to look at the other two boys in bemusement.
“Well, I don’t think any of us are happy that you’re so upset, love, but we’re not upset. You don’t have to apologize.” He pressed.
“I don’t think that’s what this is.” James input from his place across the room.
“I’m sorry. I’m not quite sure why you’re mad at me, but I’d like to talk about it with you and I promise not to do it again.” You cried, sounding disturbingly and embarrassingly close to begging.
“Mad at you? Is that why you’ve been such a weirdo tonight? You thought we were mad at you?” Sirius asked incredulously.
“Don’t call her a weirdo, Pads!” James chided, standing from his chair.
“Why’d you think everyone was mad at you, dove?” Remus asked, ignoring the squawking of his boyfriends behind him as he forced you to hold eye contact with him.
“I... I don’t know, I guess things just felt kind of off this week and then...I don’t know.” You admitted dumbly. “And then I got here and, it just felt weird.”
“I’m sorry, angel.” James apologized, suddenly beside you having taken to sitting directly on top of (a very petulant) Sirius. “You seemed distressed and... I got nervous. Usually, Rem is the better one at handling these things, I wanted to wait until he got here to broach the subject. Sirius, though, has the tact of a bull.”
“So, you were just going to let all of us sit here awkwardly until Remus got here to save the day, huh? Not on my fucking watch.” Sirius groaned as he positioned himself to kick James not only off of him, but off the couch completely. This caused Sirius’ glass of water to topple off the coffee table and onto the rug below it.
“Nice going, Prongs,” Sirius spat victoriously from his place on the couch, “look at the mess you’ve made.”
“It wasn’t even my cup!” James defended.
“Don’t think I didn’t notice that wasn’t on a fuckin' coaster, Sirius.” Remus reproached darkly, tossing the dark-haired boy a glare over his shoulder.
Sirius just smirked and then winked at you. “There you go, dollface, now everyone’s mad at me instead.”
“Awe, Pads!” James cooed from the ground before launching himself back onto Sirius. “Look at you, taking the heat off our pretty girl.”
Remus shook his head in exhaustion, but you could see a fond smile ghosting his lips from his place before you.
“Trust me, dove. You’re the least of our problems.”
You chuckled wetly and wiped the tears (and more embarrassingly, the snot) from your face. “I’m sorry. I feel rather silly now.”
Sirius, having given up on his instance to be the little spoon between he and James, looked around James’ broad frame in his lap to face you. “How about this; if we’re ever upset with you, we promise to tell you. If we haven’t said anything; it’s safe to assume we’re not mad. Okay?”
You nodded in agreement.
“And...” James continued. “Next time you find yourself feeling like this, maybe you can tell us, too?”
You nodded emphatically. “Yes, I promise. I’m sorry.”
Remus kissed the backs of both of your hands and stood from his knelt position in front of you.
“No more sorry’s, dove. We’re all good.”
James stood from Sirius’ lap to place a warm kiss to the space between your cheek and ear and whispered another apology for your being upset.
“Hey, Moons?” Sirius called.
“Yeah?”
“Are you heading to the kitchen?” He called with the sort of smirk that caused you and James to exchange a suspicious look.
“Yeah.”
“Can you grab me a glass of water, please?”
“Fuckin’ hell Sirius get off your arse. And use a sodding coaster.” Remus bellowed from the bedroom.
“See? You’re the least of our problems.” James repeated, stamping another kiss to your cheek.

The thing about the Black brothers is that they both want the same things in a way. Sirius wants to be accepted by the order. He wants them to see that he’s not like the rest of his family, that he’s a good person, who’s capable of doing good things.
Regulus wants to be accepted by his family. He wants them to be proud of him. To prove that he won’t be a disappointment like his brother. That’s why he does everything they say, following along blindly (until it’s too late).
They both want so badly to be loved, they do everything to appeal to others. And what do they get in return? Nothing. Sirius gets thrown into Azkaban for a crime he didn’t commit, making him seem like just another member of the Black family. Regulus finally realizes his family will never love him and tries to make things right, resulting in his death. They’re two sides of the same coin.

Sirius Black x insecure!Reader
Warnings: graphic bullying, use of mudblood, use of pet names (luv) if you are not into that please do not read.
word count: 5k
Being a muggle-born at Hogwarts was not easy. You were not popular, but you didn't care. What was important to you were your close friends, who embraced you for who you were. But Avery, a pureblood wizard who had a talent for tormenting anyone who didn't conform to his ideals, had taken a particular interest in making your life difficult. And being introverted didn't help; you were an easy target for his devious schemes.
You knew that Hogwarts was supposed to be a place of magic and wonder, but it often felt like a dark and lonely place for you. Avery would call you mudblood, make rude remarks in class, and even trip you in the hallways. But you refused to show him that his words and actions affected you.
Your friends could tell how badly you were hurting and did everything they could to help you. They even encouraged you to speak with your teachers. You knew deep down that your friends were right; you should speak with a teacher about what was happening. But every time the thought crossed your mind, fear held you back. Fear of making things worse; fear of being seen as weak or unable to handle the situation on your own.
It had become a vicious cycle; Avery's bullying behaviour continued because he knew he could get away with it. And the longer it went on, the harder it became for you to break out of that pattern.
Avery's taunts and pranks appeared to get worse over time. He would usually see you in empty hallways or classrooms, making rude comments about his belief in your lack of magical abilities. You tried to ignore him, but it was becoming more difficult. You were trying to convince yourself that if you were patient, things would work out and that you could handle one more year since it was your final year. Your friends immediately noticed something was wrong, and they would always ask what was bothering you. But the answer was always the same: "It's fine, I'm fine. But you were lying first to yourself and then to them.
As the year dragged on with no change in sight, you were desperate for something to break the monotony. And then it happened in Slughorn's class. When he asked to work as a team of two on an advanced Potions assignment, you were about to speak up and ask to work alone, as you always had before, but before the words could escape your lips, a figure slid into the seat next to you.
"Excuse me." The boy's voice suddenly cut through your thoughts. You turned to see none other than Sirius Black, the infamous troublemaker of Hogwarts, standing beside you. "Do you mind if we work together? My seatmate is feeling sick, so...” Sirius continued. As someone who preferred to work alone, you were not used to being approached for group projects. But with Remus missing classes due to his monthly transformations, it seemed Sirius had no other choice.
“Y-yeah sure… Um, I don’t mind,” you replied with a slow nod.
"So, what's your name?" Sirius asked. As Sirius asked for your name, you couldn't help but feel a pang of loneliness. How could someone not know a student in the same class as them?
"Y/L/N, Y/L/N, Y/N," you answered quickly, feeling invisible compared to his charm and presence.
"Sirius Black," he introduced himself, but the words felt hollow to you.
“I know who you are,” you commented of course everyone knew who he was. But as your own words slipped out without thinking, seeing Sirius's confusion only made you feel more insignificant.
“Um, we-we have been in the same class s-since first year. That's why.” You continued, trying not to sound awkward, but failed.
Sirius' eyes widened as he realised his ignorance after six years. "I'm sorry," he mumbled, his voice sounding odd and disappointed.
"Oh, it's fine. It's not the first time that something like this has happened to me." You blurted out, immediately regretting your words as a wave of awkwardness washed over you. You quickly averted your gaze back to the professor, hoping to avoid any further social mishaps.
As you scribbled notes in your potions textbook, a mix of disappointment hit you as you observed him not even attempting to take any notes; maybe he expected to do all the work. But that wasn't true. Sirius was on his own mind, thinking that Hogwarts wasn't even big enough to not know all the students in his year, but here he was to prove that wrong.
When the class drew to a close, you began gathering your things. Sirius leaned over and asked, "How are we going to do this?" You were confused; you didn't know if he was genuinely offering his help or trying to avoid the project altogether. Before you could respond, his friends called out to him, and they left with a promise to catch up later.
When he shifted his attention to you, he realised you were still packing your stuff.
"I'll wait for you outside, okay?" he announced, and you responded with a gentle "Okay" and a nod.
As you were about to leave the classroom, your professor's voice stopped you. "Miss Y/L/N, the potion will be far simpler to accomplish if you work with a team." Slughorn leaned back in his chair, observing you with a sly grin. "I've heard you prefer to work alone," he continued. Before he could say anything else, you interrupted him.
"I'll work with Surius Black," but you didn't know if that was true.
When you left the classroom, you instantly noticed him. Sirius Black leaned against the wall. He waved for you to see him, but it wasn't necessary; he was always seen. He was Gryffindor's golden boy, both pure-blood and Black who always managed to stand out. He possessed everything you didn't.
As you approached him, his voice rang out in your ears: "So, how are we going to tackle this?". You furrowed your brows, unsure of how to respond. Working in a team was unfamiliar territory for you, leaving you at a loss for words.
"Um...how do you usually work?" you asked, tilting your head to the side.
"Oh, Jamie and I just joke around while Moony does all the real work," he chuckled, adding to your confusion.
"Moony?" you inquired, looking up at him curiously.
"Remus," he clarified with a nod of his head.
"So...I can handle the potion then; no need for-" you started to say before Sirius cut you off.
"No, no, no, that's not what I meant. I want us to work on this together," he interjected eagerly, causing a small smile to grace your lips.
"We can meet tomorrow after classes in the library if you're free," he suggested.
You were ready to tell him that the library was your second home, where you spent most of your time lost in books or studying, but decided against it to avoid sounding too pitiful.
So you simply nodded and said, "Yes, it's fine with me," with a slight smile.
"Great, it's a plan then," he stated before leaving.
But before you could move on to your next class, you heard a familiar voice calling for you.
“Oi, mudblood,” you heard Avery’s voice, but you decided to ignore it, starting to walk as fast as you could. But he and his friend group didn’t seem to want to leave you alone.
So he called you again. “Oi, I’m talking to you.” Avery's voice was harsh and grating, cutting through the air as he continued to call out to you. His friends snickered and whispered amongst themselves, adding to the cacophony of mocking voices. And yet, there was a hint of mocking in his tone, a cruel edge that made your skin uneasy.
Your heart raced as their footsteps grew louder and their presence loomed closer. Even if you tried to get away from them, they would always catch you, and you knew it when you felt Avery’s hand in your hair pulling you back at him.
"Where do you think you're going?" Avery sneered, his grip tightening on your hair. The fear in your eyes only seemed to fuel his cruel amusement.
He made you look at him; your eyes were full of tears, and your heart started beating faster.
"When I'm talking to you, you better listen. Show some respect," he said, and a painful whine left your mouth. You heard all of them laughing at your pain, and you couldn't do anything other than look down. You felt so small and pathetic.
"Oh, poor mudblood." The cruel voice of Mulciber pierced through the air, making fun of your blood status. "You and Black, such a perfect match, a mudblood and a blood traitor," he said disgustingly.
As Avery let go of your hair, tears streamed down your cheeks. You stumbled away, feeling the weight of their hatred bear down on you. You hurried to your next class, trembling and glancing over your shoulder to ensure no one was following you. Even as you ran, the hurtful words echoed in your mind, a constant reminder of the division and disapproval that filled the wizarding world.
The next day, you couldn't stop thinking about your study with Sirius; it was the first time you'd work on a project with someone you didn't know well, and you were nervous, not knowing how to act because it was new to you. So as soon as the classes finished, you rushed to the library; you didn't want to be late. You found your usual seat available, and you waited for him. But as time ticked by and he still hadn't shown up, you couldn't help but feel abandoned and forgotten. Maybe he had other priorities or forgot about your meeting altogether. Defeated, you resigned yourself to working alone.
You began to gather your materials by finding books that would help you with the potion and the things that you would need. After half an hour, your desk was filled with books, and the library started getting busier. When you were ready to sit at your desk and start the research, a book caught your attention. It was about Greek mythology. And, oh, how you love it! you started flicking through the pages with such interest that you didn't hear someone getting closer to you.
"So here you are." Sirius' playful voice brought you back to reality. He even scared you so much that you flinched, and as a result, the book fell from your hand.
"You came," you said, biting your lip and trying to hide a smile.
"Of course, I came, Y/N; we said that we were going to do this together," he commented. You kneeled to get your book as you smiled. His answer made you feel relaxed.
"So, where were you? For a minute, I thought you stood me up," he laughed.
"N-no! I, um, I was right there," you said as you showed him with your hands where you were sitting.
When Sirius looked at your desk, which had a pile of books now, he left a small chuckle and said, "That's why I didn't see you; I don't think that I have ever come to this corner of the library."
"Well, it's really quiet there, even on the busiest days of exams; it's always empty. It's like my secret place; well, not anymore, but you know…" you said, looking away, feeling that you overshared again. Sirius smiled warmly and said, "I won't tell anyone about your secret spot, I promise." and you couldn't help but smile back.
"So what's all that?" he said as you got closer to your desk, which was filled with a pile of books by now.
"Oh, um, I found some books that could help us; um, I thought you forgot, and I started by myself." You said and bit your lips.
When you took a seat, Sirius sat next to you. You started explaining the books you found and how they could be useful for the project you were working on together.
You didn't know what time it was, but the library was empty by now, and you had made so many notes that your hand was hurting. You left a small groan and turned to look at Sirius, who was already looking at you.
"Luv, we can do it together tomorrow if you are tired," he commented, making you blush with the nickname.
Sirius noticed it, of course; he also noticed your shy personality, how you talk softly, and how you always seem to put others before yourself. It was one of the things he admired most about you.
"Tomorrow?" you asked, tilting your head.
"Yeah… What? You don't like my company," he asked, teasing you.
"No, no, no, it's not that, I swear," you said immediately, shaking your head.
Sirius smiled playfully at your reaction. "I'm only teasing you, Luv," he said, making you blush once again.
"I just thought you would have other things to do on your Saturday," you said as you both started getting your stuff ready to leave the library.
"So what are you reading?" he asked as you picked the book you were interested in before.
"Oh, it's about Greek mythology; I'm really into it. You know Circe was a witch who lived in ancient Greece; she was a minor goddess who was said to transform sailors lost around her island of Aeaea into animals via the use of enchanted food." You said with one breath. When you saw Sirius's shocked face, you looked down at your hands as you murmured, "Sorry, I get easily excited," with an awkward smile.
"Don't apologise; it's nice to have something to get you this excited," Sirius said as you left the library.
"Do you?" you asked, eager to learn more about him.
"Oh yeah, for me, it's music that's keeping me excited. Mostly muggle music. Do you know, um, David Bowie, Led Zeppelin, Queen, ABBA? They are singers and bands," he asked you.
"Of course, I know them," you said with a smile. "I'm muggle-born after all, Sirius." You continued.
Sirius's eyes widened; he didn't expect that you were so smart and you were always studying—at least this was what he understood—that he thought you were from a strict pureblood family that he didn't know about.
"It doesn't matter," he said immediately as he saw your smile drop. "I just didn't know," he commented, trying to justify his reaction. "But who's your favourite one?" he asked, attempting not to make things more awkward than they already were.
"Oh, Fleetwood Mac," you said with a nod as Sirius smiled at you, happy with your answer. "Yours?" you asked.
"Led Zeppelin," he told you.
"So you like hard stuff?" you said with an innocent smirk.
"Yeah, luv, I like the hard stuff," Sirius said, grinning at you, making you blush and look away to hide it.
And so the days passed, with you and Sirius studying together and hanging out for reasons other than studying. You two had gotten pretty close by talking about your interests and teasing each other about them. When you were with Sirius, you felt like someone else, and he made it easy for you to open up because he was always listening to you. So you began to wonder if something might change during your final year at Hogwarts. But, oh… How stupid were you?
You were having breakfast with your friends, talking about how you would spend your weekend when you told them that you had a study section with Sirius, and all of them smirked at you.
"You know, I'm starting to believe you have a crush on Sirius Black." Your best friend said.
"N-no, no, we are just studying really," you said immediately, trying to defend yourself, but the truth was that you were starting to like his company a little bit more. Your friends saw that and decided to drop the conversation.
"We are heading outside," one of your friends said. "When you are done, come find us," she continued with a smile. You nodded, but you couldn't stop thinking about what they said earlier. Was it so easy to understand your crush on Sirius?
"You know, when I said you and Black would be a perfect match, I didn't really mean it." Avery's cold voice broke your thoughts. "He would never like you; you're just a mudblood." He said and with a laugh, he left.
You couldn't move. The only thing that was playing on your mind was, 'How does he know?' You tried to act like nothing happened and like what he just said didn't affect you. But it did. And Surius noticed that. He noticed how your expression changed when Avery talked to you. And he was surprised with himself because Sirius couldn't even understand when his friends were mad at him.
"Is Y/N okay?" he asked his friends without thinking.
"Who's Y/N?" Peter asked.
Sirius then shook his head towards you, and all his friends—Remus, James, Peter, and Lily—turned to look at you.
"Oh, the lonely girl," James said with a smile, relieved that he knew you, winning a death stare from Lily. James didn't mean to offend anyone; he simply didn't think twice before speaking.
"Oi, mate," said Remus, looking at James. "I know her; she's always in the library," Remus continued looking at Sirius now.
"Why wouldn't she be okay?" Lily asked.
"And since you care ?" James butted in.
"Um, well, Avery was talking to her," Sirius answered Lily, never taking his eyes off of you.
A small "Oh" left Lily's lips and continued, "He's been making her life difficult since the first year. She's his easy victim, you know because she's muggle-born."
Sirius didn't even think twice; he just stood up and started getting closer to you.
"What about my question ?" Was the last thing he heard from his table, coming from James.
When Sirius came and sat next to you at first, you didn't notice him.
"Y/N." His soft voice made you look up at him. "You good, luv?" he asked, and the stupid nickname gave you butterflies, forgetting for a little what had happened before.
"Yeah, I- I'm fine," you murmured with a nod. "Do you need something, Sirius?" you asked him gently.
"No… Actually, I'm just checking," he replied. "I didn't know that you were friends with Avery," he said, trying to make you open up to him.
You shook your head instantly. "We are not; he just, um, he just wanted to ask something."
Sirius didn't expect this answer, so he asked again. You just nodded, and before he could say anything else, you left him alone. As you were leaving, you couldn't only feel his eyes on you but his friends as well.
You started walking away from the Great Hall as fast as you could because the only thing that you wanted right now was to lie on your bed.
When your body hit the bed, the only thing that came to mind was that you could handle Avery's attitude because, after all, you were strong. The minutes ticked by, each one feeling like a heavy stone on your chest. Shadows danced on the room's walls as the sun set. The silence and solitude were overwhelming, leaving you feeling restless and bored.
So you decided to get up and find your friends, who were very concerned about you. But a few minutes later, you regret your decision.
"You and Black are pretty close." It was Snape's voice that made you stop moving. You closed your eyes, and you could feel your heart beating faster. "Yeah, Y/N, I thought we were your only friends," said Avery with a humiliating laugh.
"I-" you tried to defend yourself. But before you even had the opportunity to say something more, Snape pushed you, making you fall with your back.
"I don't think that you told him anything, right mudblood?" said Snape as Avery was pushing you down with his feet.
A small, painful whine left your mouth, and you looked up at them. "What? Are you scared of him, Snape?" you asked.
Snape didn't answer you, but Avery did. "You wish, mudblood. Dare to tell him anything, and I swear to Salazar, I'll kill you," he said, and with that, he left you alone.
You stood up; your lips were trembling as you tried to hold back tears. Snape's cold eyes bore into yours, sending a chill down your spine. The threat from Avery lingered in the air, leaving you feeling more weak than ever. You quickly wiped away the tears and squared your shoulders, refusing to show weakness in front of Snape. Taking a deep breath, you turned and walked away, determined not to let them see you break.
And this is how you end up spending your Saturday evening in the library; you didn't have the energy to go hang out with your friends, and you just needed something to make you forget about the whole day. So you went to the library to do what you knew best: study.
"I knew that I could find you here." Sirius interrupted your studies with a cheerful voice, making you look up at him.
"You were looking for me?" you asked, confused, tilting your head quizzically.
"Yeah… you looked tense this morning, and I didn't see you with your friends after, so I- I was kinda worried," Sirius told you, surprised with himself and with a small smile as he played with his hair awkwardly. The Casanova boy was surprised by himself; he noticed you like he had known you for years. He noticed the way you reacted when Avery was close to you and how you avoided his question this morning, and he even noticed that you weren't with your friends. If Sirius didn't know himself better, he could say he was falling for you.
"Um, sorry for worrying you; I was just tired," you answered by lying.
"Don't apologise to me, Y/N; come on," Sirius said, feeling sick that you felt the need to offer an apology. You opened your mouth to apologise to him, but you closed it once more.
"Are Avery and his friends bothering you, luv?" he asked with a sad smile.
You shook your head right away. "What? No, um, where did this come from?"
"Well, this morning-" he started saying, but you interrupted him.
"Don't worry about me, Sirius; everything is fine," you said as you stood up to go find some books that you needed for the project, trying to get away from this conversation. But Sirius followed you through the aisle of the bookshelves.
"But are you fine, Y/N?" Sirius spoke again, making you look at him and give him a painful smile.
"Of course," you said as you pulled him by his wrist to follow you. You really liked his company; he made you forget all about your problems, especially when he wasn't talking about them.
"So you did the project all alone?" he asked playfully.
"Well, almost. I really wanted to do something, and it was my only unfinished assignment," you answered him. Then you stopped moving tip-toeing to get the book that you needed, but you couldn't reach it.
"Let me get it for you, luv," Sirius whispered with his husky voice, his hand gently brushing yours as he reached for the book. His closeness and touch sent a wave of tingling sensations throughout your body, making it hard to focus on anything else.
You took the book from Sirius, trying to steady your trembling hands. "T-thanks," you stammered, avoiding his intense gaze as you pretended to focus on the pages.
When you looked down, your hair fell to your face, and Sirius couldn't help himself but reach out to tuck a loose strand behind your ear, his fingers lingering on your skin for a moment longer than necessary. The small gesture sent your heart racing, and you couldn't help but wonder if Sirius felt the same electric connection between you both. With his index finger, Sirius made you look at him; you were a blushing mess.
"Love it when I make you blush for me," Sirius said, and before you could even progress what he said, he leaned down and kissed you. His lips were warm and soft against yours. A shiver ran down your spine, causing goosebumps to rise on your skin. It was a moment filled with passion and longing, leaving you breathless and wanting more.
"Sirius," you breathed out. You felt your face getting hotter again; you knew you were blushing. You tried to hide your face with your hands, but Sirius was quicker. He gently pulled your hands away, a smirk playing on his lips as he looked into your eyes with adoration. "Don't hide your pretty face from me, Y/N," he whispered, his thumb brushing against your cheek. The intensity of his gaze made your heart race even faster. You felt like Sirius genuinely cared for you like he had noticed you. Like you were finally seen by someone.
Sirius's hands hugged your face, and before he could even reach for you, someone called his name.
"Sirius," said Remus, and with the sudden interruption, you flinched and got away from Sirius's touch.
"James was looking for you; you have to go to practice, you know." Looking once at Sirius and once at you, the tall boy spoke.
"Did I interrupt anything ?" He asked as he noticed your flushed face. Sirius rolled his eyes at him and then looked at you again.
"Look, luv, as much as I would love to sit here and help you with our project, I have to go to practice or James would kill me, and we don't want that, do we?" He said with a playful smirk as you shook your head, biting your lips, and tried not to smile at his cockiness.
"I- I can give you the result later if you want," you said shyly.
"Perfect, I see you by nine in Gryffindor's common room," he said, turning to his friends and leaving. Before they could even disappear from your sight, you heard Sirius talking.
"Bad timing, Moony, bad timing." and a small smile was placed on your lips. You were so eager to get this project done so you could spend some time with Sirius.
So once you were done and the clock was showing 9 p.m., you hurried to Gryffindor's common room, hoping he would be there. So when you were inside —some first years had opened for you— you heard Sirius before you saw him.
"I think Avery is really messing with Y/N; maybe Lily's right," Sirius said. You tried to stay still and not make a sound. You knew what you were doing wasn't right but you couldn't appear now when he was talking about you.
"Did she told you?" Remus asked him.
"No, she didn't; actually, I think that she hasn't told anyone," Sirius replied to him. And suddenly, it didn't feel nice to be noticed. Sirius read you like a book, and he displayed you to his friends. You didn't want to sound so miserable, nor did you want everyone to know your problem.
"How are you so sure, then?" A new voice asked him, Maybe it was James or Peter you didn't know.
"Her mood is always changing when he's near her, and sometimes I feel like she's scared that he will appear from nowhere." He said again. He made you sound so miserable; you weren't a scared little girl that you needed his help; you could handle it all alone as you did the last seven years. Even though everything he said was true, you felt sad when he talked about your problems with someone; you couldn't even recognise his voice.
"You have known me since the first year, and you can't even notice when I'm mad at you." The unknown voice said again.
"Oh, come on, Peter, we are talking about some other kind of noticing here; he cares for her in another way," Remus said with a playful tone. You hold your breath, ready to hear Sirius answer, which would make you forget about your second thoughts. But that never came.
"Yeah… I mean, no, no, it's just sad. I feel bad for her; she's having some difficult times," Sirius stated, making your heart lose a bit.
Remus breathed out; that was what Sirius always would do: push himself away if he felt emotionally vulnerable. It was frustrating, but Remus knew it was his way of protecting himself.
You felt so empty; he felt sad for you. That's why he noticed you and asked you questions that no one had. Did he kiss you because he felt bad for you?
"Sirius…" it was Remus's disappointed voice that stopped your heartbreaking thoughts. "If it's for pity, you have to stop giving the poor girl hope." You couldn't stand listening to them. You couldn't even stand thinking about what they were saying, so you just left, running from your room. You weren't just some poor girl who needed Sirius Black's pity or his rescue.
So when you didn't appear in Gryffindor's common room, Sirius was worried sick. Why did you not come? Did something happen to you? Did he make you uncomfortable? But no, he kissed you, and you kissed him back. Maybe you didn't finish the project, or maybe you were too tired. He didn't know what happened, but he would find out the next day, or this was what he said to himself. Sirius was a man with a plan.
So when he entered the Great Hall and saw Avery at your table, he forgot everything about his plan.
"I was expecting better from you, Y/N. I thought they were saying that you are smart, but falling for him... Come on, he's Sirius Black, and you are, well, you are a nobody…" Avery said making you feel so small. When Sirius walked into the room and you both saw him, Avery laughed.
"Poor Y/N, I bet he's talking to you just because he feels sad about you. He's pitting you, but he shouldn't; you are a filthy mudblood after all." He continued. Sirius was now closer, but he still couldn't hear what Avery was telling you.
"St-Stop it," you said, cringing when you heard your voice cracking. Avery knew what to say to break your heart, and he was doing it intentionally.
"Oi, Avery, why haven't you shut up already?" Sirius basically shouted, making the whole hall turn to look at you three.
"Oh, look who's here, the prince with the saviour complex," Avery sneered, turning his attention from you to Sirius. Sirius took a step forward, his eyes blazing with anger, as he prepared to defend you against Avery's cruel words. Every word that was leaving Avery's mouth was hitting you like a knife.
"Sirius, stop," you managed to say quietly.
"You heard her, Black; your princess doesn't need to be saved," Avery said with a sarcastic smile.
"Talked to her one more time. I dare you." Sirius said, getting closer to Avery as his eyes darkened.
"So protective," Avery said as he left you two alone, laughing at both of you.
"You okay?" he asked, looking worried at you. But when he looked at you like this, the only thing that you could think of was how he talked about you last night. He tried to hold your hand and come closer to you, but you backed off.
"No," you said, looking at him madly and shaking your head. Before he could say anything else, you left him alone, walking away from him.
"Luv, wait," he called you, but it was too late. But Sirius knew where to find you; you had shown him your secret place, and two minutes later he was facing you again.
"Why did you leave like this before?" he asked you with a confused look.
"Obvious, because I want to be left alone, Black," you replied to him without even looking at him.
"Y/N, what are you even talking about I just… for Merlin's sake I just want to help you" he said trying to catch your eyes.
"I'm fine I don't need your help or your rescue; I'm not your problem to fix." You said, finally letting out all the things that had been weighing on your mind since last night.
"No, you are not fine; don't give me this bullshit excuse of yours," Sirius replied, not being able to control his anger anymore.
"Okay, I guess I'm the coward who can't accept the fact that Avery has been messing with me for the last seven years, but who cares Sirius?" Your voice cracked as you shouted the last words, feeling the weight of your heartache crushing down on you.
"Who cares? I care, dammit!" Sirius exclaimed, his voice full of frustration and concern.
But you shook your head, your voice now raspy and weary. "Nobody cares, Sirius. You're just pitying me, and I don't want your pity." The words stung as they left your mouth, but you couldn't stop them
"I don't pity you; I care about you," Sirius insisted, his eyes pleading for you to understand.
"You didn't even know I existed two weeks ago, Sirius. How can you claim to care now?" Your voice trembled as tears continued to fall on your face. "You're just trying to ease your own guilt by pretending to care about me," you added, feeling a mix of anger and hurt in your voice.
"I'm sorry if it seems that way, but I truly do care about you," Sirius responded softly, trying to reach for your hand again, but again this time you pulled away, feeling the agony of his words tearing at your heart. "Then please, just stop," you whispered brokenly before turning and walking away from him once more, feeling shattered and alone.

Thank you!!!! I was debating between possessive Remus and protective Remus and went with possessive for the angst
Honeymoon phase
Remus Lupin x fem!reader
1.7k words
cw: angst, teeny bit of fluff, not happy ending (oopsie), Moony being possessive
The full moon was drawing near. You didn’t know its significance besides what theories you learned in Divination and Astronomy. It was just a phase of the moon for you, a marking of the passage of time. You didn’t know how it affected your new boyfriend.
It was a very new relationship that you were still adjusting to. Your friendship with Remus had started one day in the library as you worked on assignments at the same table. No words had been exchanged, but there were occasional glances and smiles. And then you both made a habit of sitting at that table. ‘Hellos’ and ‘see yous’ occurred and then you weren’t sitting on opposite ends of the table anymore, now sitting across from each other. That was followed with quiet small talk and questions by the homework, which slowly grew into banter and true friendship. It was good and fine until you started to feel yourself falling for him and his quiet mannerism. You hid it well, almost too well. Remus was beyond nervous when he asked if you would maybe, perhaps, feel free to say no, absolutely no worries, like to go to Hogsmeade with him. You had eagerly agreed and after that first Hogsmeade trip, you started to hang out outside of the library. Another Hogsmeade trip and he asked if you would want to be his girlfriend.
You were determined to not be one of those girls who completely abandoned their friends when they got a boyfriend. You liked Remus’ friends. They were nice to you and funny. Sure, they teased you and Remus but that’s what guys did. It’s what girls did too. Your friends would laugh when Remus called out for you and you would immediately gather your things so you could spend time with him.
Remus had been extra touchy this week. You didn’t mind. You assumed it was just him becoming more comfortable with your relationship and showing it off. He seemed to always have an arm around you or be holding your hand. He was glued to your side.
“Sit by me at dinner?” Remus whispers into your ear as you leave the library together.
His arm was around your shoulders, holding your firm into his side.
“We just spent all day together,” you say. “I was going to eat with my friends.”
He frowns. “Please, dove? I’ll miss you too much.”
Then he gives you a pouty face.
“Don’t give me that face, baby,” you coo, reaching up to squeeze his face.
He doesn’t relent.
“You know I can’t say no to that face.”
“That I do know,” he says.
“I’ll eat with you. I’ll just swing by and tell them when we get to the Great Hall.”
Remus beams and gives you a squeeze. You pull away from him once you two get there. You veer to where your friends are sitting and he goes to where his are. The obvious solution of having your friends sit with his wasn’t an option since yours weren’t a fan of the Marauders, having been victim to one too many pranks. While you hover around your friends, taking part in some conversation, Remus watches you.
“Mate, she’ll be here in a second,” Sirius says, reaching over the table to shove Remus’ shoulder.
“She said she’d just swing by. Why is she lingering?”
“Moony,” Sirius says calmly. “She’s talking to her friends.”
“It’s not like she’s sitting down and eating with them. Ah, see! Here she comes!” James says.
Remus’ face lights up as you say bye to your friends and turn to find Remus. Your friends are a bit disappointed that you’re eating with him again, but they chalk it up to being in love. The honeymoon phase, they called it. Once it wore off and you were just in a relationship, rather than a fresh relationship, you wouldn’t be so stuck on each other.
As soon as you sit down next to Remus, he places a kiss on your cheek and you giggle.
“Missed you,” he mumbles against your skin.
“I was barely gone, what, five? ten? minutes?”
“Doesn’t matter. Missed you.”
You shake your head with a smile. He was being dramatic, but, just like with the increased touching, you didn’t mind.
“Everything alright?” you ask the boys.
“Now you’re here, yes. Moony can stop moping,” Peter says.
“I don’t think you’re allowed to leave his side,” Sirius teases.
You laugh, thinking they’re being as dramatic as Remus. “Ah, too bad we’re our own people. Right, Remus?”
Remus gives you a weak smile but squeezes your hand.
“Yeah,” he says softly.
“Have any of you done that Charms essay yet? I need someone other than Remus to read it,” you ask the table. You’d ask your friends but with how brief your visit to the group was, you didn’t want to bring up homework.
“Yeah, I can read it. Remus go too easy on you?”
“He’s convinced I’m a genius.”
“Because you are!” Remus protests.
“And so are you, but I still read your essays and actually give notes.”
He shakes his head. “Your essay doesn’t need notes.”
“Guess I’m the new judge of that,” James says with a smirk.
Remus shoots a brief glare at James for suggesting that your work needs comments. He feels a burning in his chest. He wants to tell James to not bother reading your essay; it was perfect as it is. Remus wants to tell James that you don’t need him for anything, you have Remus and that’s all you need.
“Mate, you good?” Sirius asks as he gives Remus a swift kick under the table.
Remus tilts his head far enough to the side to crack it. “Yeah. I’m good.”
“Yeah, okay.”
You look from Sirius to Remus and back to Sirius. A small look of confusion crosses your face. It disappears as quickly as it appears though. Peter takes control of the conversation by complaining about the most recent Herbology assignment and how Professor Sprout was just giving them busy work. You agree with him. The worksheets she’s been handing out are almost as bad as when professors assign you to copy passages straight out of the textbook.
Remus puts a hand on your knee and gives it a squeeze. You give him a smile. It was nice to feel him be so comfortable with you. And it wasn’t like he was showing you off with this simple gesture. It was more of a grounding touch, like he just needed to touch you to know that you were there because of him and you wouldn’t be going anywhere. And that’s why you smiled.
You think it’s all romantic. The touching and small bit of possessiveness that he’s been showing. Your friends’ description of it being the honeymoon phase supports it. But it increases. It gets to the point where he practically has an iron grip on you at all times. His touches are more firm and he’s never the first to let go or pull back. You had to physically remove his arm from around you so you could use the loo. You could feel yourself growing a bit agitated.
Once again, he insisted that you eat dinner with him, rather than your friends. You protested, saying you hadn’t seen much of your friends, but then he pouted. Your weakness. So you relented and ate with the boys. You suggest a walk after dinner. Just to get some fresh air. Remus likes the idea. He likes spending time alone with you, and walks are romantic.
His stomach sinks when your friends call out your name as you’re about to leave the Great Hall with him.
“Rems, I’ll be right back!” you say, dropping his hand and hurrying over to your friends.
He watches you go, anger boiling his blood. Why did you need to go talk to them all the time? Couldn’t you just spend time with him? Could your friends not see you were going somewhere with him?
A hand clamps down on his shoulder, bringing him out of his thoughts and forcing his blood to simmer down.
“You sure you’re good?” Sirius asks, giving him a stern look.
“Yes, Padfoot. I’m fine.”
“You know the full moon’s tomorrow night, yeah?”
“Yes, Padfoot.”
“As long as you know…”
Remus returns to staring at you as Sirius walks away with James and Peter. He’s too focused on you to hear their muttering about his behavior. It was his first full moon with a girlfriend. Certainly his neediness toward you was connected.
You’re still talking to your friends. The conversation is getting louder by the second and you’re laughing. He can’t take it. He was promised a nice, romantic walk with you and here you are, wasting time. He stalks up to you and throws a casual arm around your shoulders, like he always does.
“Ready to go, love?” he asks.
“Just one second, Remus. Be patient.” Your tone is light and airy. You’re enjoying the gossip your friends had to share with you before you disappeared off with Remus until it was curfew.
“Forgive me, but I’m not feeling very patient right now,” Remus growls into your ear.
You shirk away from his arm, turning your whole body toward him. Your friends give the two of you questioning looks.
“Excuse me?”
“Just, let’s go.”
“No,” you say firmly. “I’m talking to my friends and I asked you to be patient.”
“I have been.”
You scoff. “No, you haven’t.”
“Love, come on. Let’s just go.”
“I’m not going anywhere. You can go.” Your expression turns to hurt. “And don’t bother talking to me when you are feeling patient again. I don’t think I’ll have anything to say to you.”
Remus stares at you. Confusion is etched into his scarred features. When he doesn’t move, you give your friends a look before turning to walk away. They follow you, each giving Remus looks of confusion greater than his. They didn’t understand what caused you to snap but you had just broken up with Remus. They are shocked that the relationship didn’t make it out of the honeymoon phase.

evan rosier and regulus black.
the two names that have seemed to never leave your brain since the beginning of 8th year. two people you were never supposed to get involved with nor did you think youd ever even talk to without it being harsh words or hex’s but here you were having feelings for and relations with them.
evans dirty blonde curls and regulus’ grey eyes never seemed to leave your mind just like your frame and scent never left theirs, but at least they could express their feelings and needs with each other and you were stuck with inner monologues and your hand to satisfy yourself til the right time came.
one thing you all had in common was your friends hating the other person. evan had gotten more irritable and his patience was wearing thin when Mulciber or barty talked about you and regulus had to stop evan from lashing out at them and starting something that would be hell to finish, it was almost the same with your friends, james’ passive aggressive comments about regulus made you want to put him in his place but you refrained and remus and peter’s comments on evan made your blood boil as they talked shit about something they actually had no idea about.
sirius was a big factor, you knew hed be hurt if he found out you were fucking his brother and his brothers best friend behind his back but you never meant to get tangled up in regulus’ and evans web. the more you thought about it a lot of your friends would be disappointed so maybe that should’ve told you to cut it off after the first time but it was like a drug, the more you tried to stay away the more your want and need for it grew and eventually you gave in.
your bracelet vibrated once more, it was a gift from both of them to help make communicating better.
the three of you finally met up in the prefect bathroom durning dinner one night, regulus happily told you that him and evan were staying an extra day before going home for the break and that you should try so you all could spend time together before leaving.
and now here you were, almost everyone was gone for winter break and you were one of the few gryffindors left but there was just one problem, remus, remus fucking lupin had also decided to stay an extra day because he had been helping ms pince in the library. knowing remus he had the map, and would defiantly check it he if thought you were acting weird.
watching remus from your seat next to the fire, waiting for him to say he was gonna nap or walk around or go to the library, hoping and praying that he would say something like that so you could leave and get to evan and regulus’ dorm as fast as you could. your bracelet buzzed against your skin once more, you already knew which one was trying to give you the green light as to come to them.
normally it was evan, who only buzzed it once and then a second time if you were really really late; but today it was regulus, the constant buzzing at random times indicated that. you’d tease him about it since it seemed as if he couldn’t wait, you could imagine him mumbling the spell on the bracelet they had and waiting for you to show up at the speed of light and then doing it over and over when you were taking your time to get there.
jumping a little when remus coughed and got up and stretched. “i gotta go to the library, wanna meet up and walk to dinner together later?” remus asked, grabbing his wand and book then fixing his shirt while waiting for you to answer.
you nodded, “yeah ill come up to the library so you dont have to walk all the way over to get me” you said and smiled at him. remus nodded and left the common room.
muttering the spell towards the bracelet to let them know you were on your way. waiting a bit so you knew remus was far away before leaving the common room.
the bracelet buzzing again, making you smile and think about how to tease regulus about it in a bit. turning the corner as you kept looking around for any other people but luckily there was no one around.
evan was waiting for you beside slytherin common room, you watched him play with his sleeve before he looked up and saw you.
crossing his arms with a smile on his face as you got closer then reaching out and pulling you to him.
lips already going at each other and hands roaming and gripping at clothing and skin, hungry and needy for each other from being away for so long. the amount of glances and fantasizing while looking at the other person was gone and replaced with what you both desired, the real fucking thing.
pulling away to catch your breath, hands rubbing against his chest as your back was now up against the cold stone.
“you have no idea how much we missed you” evan whispered, his lips coming back to yours for a quick kiss before pulling away and resting his forehead against yours.
“i think i know by how many times hes buzzed me” you quipped, and evan instantly laughed and shook his head.
“i told him to quit, that you’d be here when you’d get here but hes basically cumming in his pants at anything that has to do with you” evan said, the happy tone in his voice made your heart flutter. you giggled and mumbled the spell to the bracelet, sending two buzzes to let him know you were and it buzzed back almost instantly which made you and evan bust out laughing.
“well, lets not leave him waiting” you laughed and took evans hand, pulling him towards the common room door. evan said the password and looked around to see if the common room had anyone in it, luckily no one was in there.
evan guided you to their dorm, all their dorm mates were gone leaving it the perfect spot.
regulus’ leg bounced up and down, he was excited to see you and get off since evan had been denying him since the night they found out they were staying too, no matter how hard regulus begged for evan to touch him or if he wanted to touch himself the answer was “no, you’ll thank me later” and regulus knew he probably would.
evan snuck you into the room, making sure no one would see you in case they just showed up out of nowhere. regulus jumped up when he heard the door click open. a smile coming onto his face almost instantly.
seeing them used to be awkward but now it was just like hanging out with your friends but so much more intimate, you wished you could be around them all the time which is crazy now since almost a year ago you didn’t like them and they did not like you.
the transition from seeing you again to already getting intimate was smooth and quick, it didn't feel forced like you were just there to have sex with them and then leave, it was loving and like you all had come home from a date together.
you sat on the side of evans bed, regulus was on his knees taking your pajama bottoms off, you could see his hard on in his pants.
“reggie you’re already hard, we’ve barely even started” you teased, regulus whined a bit at you pointing it out, he was aching, had been since he knew today was the day you were coming.
“told you he was practically cumming in his pants” evan quipped as he unbuttoned his shirt.
“I wouldn't be if you had let me cum” regulus snapped back, making evan laugh. you smiled then pouted at regulus.
“he’s so mean isn’t he, i’ll make sure you cum tonight baby” you said to him as you took the bottom of his shirt and pulled it up and off him. regulus had scars, not at many as sirius and definitely not as many as remus. he told you about them once, one day on the astronomy tower late into the night.
“thank you” regulus mumbled and side eyed evan. you took off your shirt and looked at evan, he was undoing his pants.
“how about you show her how thankful you really are” evan said with a smirk, regulus looked up at you.
“can i?” he asked, you nodded your head and regulus’ hands went to your panties and pulled them down quickly.
“good boy” evan praises him, your hand went to evans cock which was covered by his boxers. regulus kissed your thighs a few times before licking your slit.
regulus moved your leg over his shoulder, his tongue getting faster as you were getting more turned on. evan leaned down to kiss you, his hand going to your jaw.
you moaned as evan kissed you, regulus’ tongue was lapping at your clit quickly. evans grip on your jaw held you where he wanted you, you continued to touch evans cock.
you pulled down his boxers, he was as hard as regulus now, you broke the kiss and brought your hand to your mouth and spit before stroking his cock.
evan groaned and rolled his head back, you focused on his tip then started stroking him from his base to his tip over and over.
regulus pressed kisses on your clit before sucking then moving down to your entrance. he spread you apart with his fingers, his cock straining in his boxers made him think about touching himself but he wanted to be good for both of you.
“you’re doing so good reggie” you moaned, evan grinned and watched regulus.
a few minutes later you were struggling to keep your hand going, you were so close to cumming, evan knew it and so did regulus, reggie was going faster.
“i think that's enough reg, i think its her turn to make you feel good” evan said, regulus whined and pulled away from you.
regulus leaned up and locked your lips with his, evan started moving his hips while you kept stroking him. regulus pushed himself against his boxers, he was trying so hard to be good.
evan watched you two, his hand moving down to yours, he guided you— making your touches on him more firm. your other hand snaked down into regulus’ boxers and once he felt your soft hand grasping his cock his body shivered and pushed into you.
you could hear evan laugh softly. you smiled as you teased regulus, making him shudder and break the kiss multiple times.
regulus broke the kiss and rested his forehead on your shoulder.
“please—please, keep touching me— i'm almost there” regulus begged, his eyes were closed tightly and he pressed more into you.
you glanced at evan, silently asking for permission.
evan grabbed regulus by his hair gently, pulling his head back to look at him.
“why would you want to cum in her hand when i was gonna let you cum in her” evan asked, cocking his head slightly and furrowing his brows. you stopped touching regulus, pulling your hand out of his boxers.
“what do you wanna do reggie?” you asked him, placing a kiss on his neck.
regulus lets out a sigh, “i wanna cum in you” he says with a nod.
evan let go of regulus’ hair, your hand dropped from evan as he took a step back and walked to the other side of the bed.
“lay down regulus” he commanded, regulus moved from you and got onto the bed, you turned to watch them.
evan guided regulus onto his back, moving his head to hang off the edge of the bed a bit. your hand moved to regulus’ thigh, rubbing up and down and inching closer to his boxers.
you moved closer to regulus, now hooking your fingers on his waist band.
“you remember don’t you? tap my thigh three times for me to stop” evan reminded him, regulus nodded and hummed in agreement, you and regulus made eye contact as you pulled his boxers down to his mid thigh.
“i love you” you mouthed to him, his face went a bit red before he mouthed it back.
evan smiled as you moved to straddle regulus. he leaned towards you, locking your lips with his for a few moments.
he pulled back, “are you ready?” he whispered softly.
“more than ready” you said, pressing one last kiss on his lips before sinking down onto regulus’ cock.
a sigh came from both of you, you hadn’t had him in so long and it just feels so right. regulus was covered in goosebumps, the feeling of you around him felt so good.
evan tapped regulus’ mouth with his cock. “open your mouth baby” he instructed. evan’s cock glided into regulus’ mouth smoothly, regulus was basically trained to take evan, you three just started and regulus was practically deep throating him.
regulus’ eyes closed and he moved one hand to evan’s thigh and the other to yours. you could see the outline of evan’s cock in regulus’ throat which made you wetter. you started moving your body up and down, trying to find the right spot where your clit would make contact with his pubic area.
“you’re doing so good reggie, being so good for us” you praised, your hand rested on his ribs and the other on the bed. evan could feel regulus whimper, the vibrations took some air from him.
“he really liked that” evan groaned out as he fucked regulus’ mouth faster. you could hear noises coming from regulus as he took evans cock, his nails digging into the skin of your thigh.
you threw your head back as you found the right spot, your clit dragging on his skin and his cock hitting your sweet spot. evan watched you, he missed you so much and was so relieved there was time for you three to be together, he didn’t care if you three just sat in silence, he just wanted to be with you and regulus.
“you’re so pretty darling” evan moaned, his hand grasping your neck gently, you smiled at him and leaned closer to him. your head was still a little tilted back and evan bent to meet you halfway. a sloppy kiss broke out between you two, you tried to keep up but with the friction on your clit it was getting harder to keep a clear head.
evan kept his thrusts at a good pace with a few stops in between so regulus could get a breath, he could feel every moan and whimper regulus produced.
you pulled at evans lip with your teeth teasingly.
“i love you” you whispered into the kiss and evan moaned it back.
you gasped when you felt regulus cum inside you, painting your insides with his cum. your cunt basically milked him, it started to run down out of you and onto the part of his shaft that was exposed and down his balls.
reggie was trembling, you could feel it. Now the knot in your stomach was getting tighter, regulus’ hand was gripping your thigh harsher.
you muttered cuss words as you tried to chase your climax, you were close, so close you could feel the beginning of it. you twisted the bed sheets in your fist as you tried to keep the friction on your sensitive clit up.
evan pressed his lips to your forehead, you watched evan’s dick move in regulus’ throat. you knew you were probably overstimulating reggie.
you clenched around his cock which made regulus whine.
you moaned as you clenched harder, you tried to keep moving as you came, trying to get as much stimulation as possible, your muscles tensed up and your abdomen trembled.
evan was soon to follow, his breathing getting quicker as he could barely stand any more stimulation from regulus. his cum shooting down regulus’ throat, he could feel regulus swallowing everything he gave him and once he was empty evan pulled out of regulus’ mouth.
Regulus took in a few deep breaths and coughed a few times. you gently laid on regulus, your head resting on his chest, his cock still in your cunt. regulus’ hand came to your back, tracing shapes on your skin.
“you took me so good reggie, i’m so proud of you baby” evan praised, leaning down to kiss regulus’ forehead.
you hummed in agreement with evan, “we’re both so proud of you” you added. regulus smiled and mumbled a ‘thank you,’ you felt evan place a hand on your head, ruffling your hair.
“you alright darling?” he asked, you smiled and nodded.
“just perfect” you responded.

The walk to class was never an easy one. Hogwarts was filled with magic and mischievous ghosts and moving staircases but today this wasn't my issue with getting to classes on time. I had 7 minutes to get to my lesson and I knew if I didn't want to get into trouble with Remus and Sirius then I needed to haul ass, despite my tired legs.
Sighing heavily, I began to climb another staircase, noticing it had not long moved and so wouldn't for a while, and trudging down the corridor with a yawn as my body fought to rouse from its sleep. Despite me having a lie-in, I was still drowsy but I put that down to not getting up until 20 minutes before my class, barely leaving myself enough time to get ready. If Sirius and Remus didn't have an early class then I would have gotten woken but I liked to push my luck when they weren't there. It meant nobody was there to see me break the rules but that was my little secret.
I was almost to the end of the corridor where my first lesson was when a smirking Sirius walked out of an empty room, as if he was waiting for me, with a smug look on his face, blocking my path.
"Well, well, well what have we here?" The grin never left his face as he leaned against the wall on his shoulder and crossed his arms. I smiled sweetly up at him, hoping he didn't point out my sleepy eyes and ruffled looks.
"Morning Pads, how was your first lesson?" Hopefully diverting the attention to him would take his attention from my lie-in.
"It wasn't so bad, I think the most important question is how was your late start Poppet?" I froze and bit my lip, I knew there wasn't any point in denying it unless I wanted to get into any further trouble.
"I didn't mean to get up late, Moony usually has time to wake me but he couldn't this morning." I watched as he nodded his head in faux agreement almost as if he was mocking me before smiling sweetly and moving to kiss my head.
"Well, I have something that could wake you up," His lips ghosted over my temple as he rubbed his hands up and down my arms. I knew by now I was late to my class and the thought of Remus' disappointment made my stomach turn slightly. At the same time, I didn't want to disappoint Sirius, after all, they were both my Doms and so I had to abide by both sets of rules. It was almost as if he could read my mind because he smiled down at me and grabbed my hand, pulling me gently behind him and into the empty room.
"Don't worry Y/N, it's not rule-breaking because you're following my rules." I relaxed a bit more and let my arms wrap around him as he kissed my neck before meeting his lips in a rough kiss. It didn't take long for him to have me perched on the edge of the table, he stood between my parted legs and my hands tangled in his hair as I panted harshly. His hands expertly lifted me from my perch before slipping my underwear off, letting them drop to the floor before grinning down at me. Well at least he got one thing right: I really was wide awake now.
My head hung back, eyes closed and mouth open in a silent moan as he pushed into me with a groan as he bottomed out, stretching me out nicely. For a moment he was still and I looked up at him, admiring his mess of hair as his eyes sparkled with a mischievous smirk. Before long, his stillness turned to short thrusts as he tried to restrain himself before becoming rough and harsh which he knew I loved. The classroom was filled with groans as he chased after his high, using me like I was there for his pleasure only which made whimpers escape me alongside muffled moans as he covered my mouth with his hand to quieten me. My hips bucked in time with his as I gripped his shoulders for support, pulling at his shirt as I got closer to the edge. With a moan, Sirius pushed into me as far as he could before I felt hot thick ropes of his cum coat my insides, almost pushing me over the edge.
Just before I could get my release, he removed himself from me, leaving me a panting and shaking mess that could barely stand up as he moved away to straighten out his uniform. Tears collected in my eyes as I watched him in shock and annoyance. The sparkle never left his eyes as he grinned back at me, straightening his tie.
"Next time don't break the rules and you can cum, you bad girl. Remus is going to be so disappointed in his good little girl when I tell him what you've done. See ya later Poppet." With a wave and a mocking smile, he disappeared out the door and to his next lesson. I tried to shout after him but he ignored me as he ran to his next class.
Now two rules had been broken. I had been late for my class and let Sirius use me without Remus being there or giving permission. Usually, that had to be discussed between the three of us or agreed upon by Remus but this time I knew I would definitely be in trouble, especially if Sirius was to tell Remus it was my idea.
The decision to skip classes was a quick one and so I pulled my underwear back up, ignoring Sirius' cum that slowly seeped out of me, and sped back to our dorm without a word to anyone. Once I reached the common room, I ran upstairs to Remus and Sirius' room and threw myself on the Lycanthrope's bed with a huff. Usually, girls weren't allowed in the boy's dorm, and vice versa, but of course the marauders had found a way around it.
The rest of my morning was spent with me sulking in Remus' bed, trying to read my books but distracted by the need to cum and also by the thought of punishment from my Dom. I had swaddled myself in one of Remus' jumpers, leaving my skirt on and curling under the covers. The day dragged by and if anyone had noticed I hadn't turned up to any class then they mustn't have said anything because no visitors came up, which I was grateful for. As dinner passed, my stomach growled at me but I ignored it as a sick twisted feeling grew. I felt so incredibly guilty and though it was Sirius who had the idea, I shouldn't have agreed because Remus wasn't there too. I knew better than this and now I wasn't a good girl anymore. At least I didn't break a third rule by touching myself without permission even though I was desperate to.
The afternoon was filled with me slipping in and out of subspace, crying to myself and napping because I was exhausted from crying. I was so caught up in my emotions that I forgot Remus finished before Sirius who had an extra class after him. My eyes were still blurred by the tears that tracked down my cheeks when the bedroom door opened and I held in a breath, glad that my face was hidden away from whoever it was by Remus' pillow and my body covered in his blankets. I stiffened as a hand rested against my covered ankle but I soon relaxed when the familiar scent of pine wood and chocolate clouded my senses. Though the intruder had been identified as my Dom, I still kept my face hidden, not wanting to face him right now as guilt wracked me.
"Hey bunny, how come you weren't in lessons?" His voice was so soft and sweet just as it always was when he knew I was having a bad day but today I didn't deserve for him to be nice. "Is everything okay?" I couldn't answer him so I nodded silently. "Bun, Look at me." His voice was slightly harder, knowing he needed to be firm so I'd listen. Reluctantly, I turned onto my other side so he could see my face and raised my eyes to meet his, knowing they were red and puffy. His face flashed with concern and he raised a hand to caress my cheek but I stopped him, shaking my head.
"What happened Bunny?" Remus was far from stupid and wouldn't stop until he got to the bottom of this mess. "Did someone hurt you?"
"No," My voice came out as a whisper. "I'm just a bad girl Remmy, I'm sorry." I got a look of confusion as I curled my legs towards my chest.
"No, you could never be a bad girl f'me Y/N, you're my good girl. What makes you think you're a bad girl?" I bit back a whimper and sighed knowing I had to tell him. Obviously, Sirius hadn't told him so now was my chance to tell him what truly happened.
"I broke two rules. Nearly broke three Remmy." His back straightened slightly as I spoke but he didn't speak, instead he allowed me the chance to explain my wrongdoings. "I got out of bed really late 'n' nearly missed my lesson but when I was making my way to my class Sirius stopped me in the corridor, I would've been on time if he hadn't. I told him I was going to be late because I knew it would be better to tell the truth but I wasn't fully awake yet so he said he could wake me up and pulled me into one of the empty rooms." I sniffled as he nodded for me to continue. "Siri said it would be okay because I was following his rules and being good to him so I wouldn't get in trouble with you but when he was finished he didn't let me cum and left me in the room on my own after telling me I was a bad girl and you were gunna be disappointed with me. I ran straight back up here and haven't been to any lessons. I didn't want him to lie to you about it." By the time I was finished, he looked angry and I sat on the bed with fresh tears on my cheeks, sniffling like a baby.
"Oh Bunny, you poor thing." He crooned, running his hand over my hair and wiping away one of my tears. "So Sirius lied to you about it being okay and then didn't let you finish. Is that why you're so upset? Because you want to cum?"
"Kind of, yes but because I was bad as well, I didn't mean to be bad, he said I was being good f'him." I shifted uncomfortably against the blanket which didn't go unnoticed.
"You're not bad, Sirius is the one that's bad Bunny and I'll be dealing with him later." His eyes travelled down to my curled-up legs. "Did he clean you up after at least?" I shook my head no as he gently pulled down the covers. I let my legs part as he moved my underwear to one side and sighed in frustration at our boyfriend. "Why haven't you cleaned his cum away Bun?"
"I didn't wanna break another rule so I left it," I admitted, blushing as he watched Sirius' cum leak from me. Remus shook his head and moved back to his sitting position before smiling at me softly.
"You're not a bad girl, you know you should get up earlier but if Sirius hadn't stopped you and done this then you would have been on time for the lesson which I would've let slide. As for what happened, That's his fault and he will be punished accordingly so don't worry, you didn't break the rules. I'm very proud that you didn't want to break another rule but you can still clean yourself up Love, we wouldn't class that as rule-breaking."
"Thank you for not being angry Remmy." I smiled, feeling a little better about the day now that he knew what had happened. With a sigh I sat up and shuffled into Remus' lap to cuddle him, knowing now he wasn't angry at me at all. His warm arms wrapped around me gently and I nuzzled into his chest, getting as close as physically possible, feeling a little better now I knew he wasn't angry with me.
"Let's get you cleaned up Love and then I can help you out." I nodded and climbed out of his lap and walked into the bathroom, whining when I felt something warm drip through my underwear and down my thigh. The lycanthrope chuckled as I watched it slip down my leg and began to strip off my clothes, leaving them in a pile on the bathroom floor as he got me some fresh underwear and one of his cardigans. He knew I hated wearing my clothes because his and Siri's were always more comfortable.
I waited in the bathroom for him to come back, shifting from one foot to the other as my hands stayed clasped in front of me, not wanting to be tempted into rule-breaking. As he walked back in, he smiled at me and kissed my head before stripping my underwear off and leaning me over the bathroom counter gently. I gasped as the cold surface met my chest and closed my eyes, holding in a whimper as he brushed his fingers over my hip gently, seeing the new bruises that had formed from Sirius' hands. I didn't mind the bruises, I actually loved having them, made me feel like I belonged. Seconds later, I jolted out of my thoughts as he started to clean me up, tutting to himself, being as gentle as always with me. A small moan slipped through my lips as he finished cleaning me, forgetting how sensitive and needy I was at the moment.
"Sorry Bun, "He pressed a kiss to my shoulder before sliding my feet into the underwear and pulling them up as I stood up from the counter. The wool of the cardigan glided across my skin as I melted into the fabric, encased in the Wolf's scent, and snuggled into his chest as I was buried in his arms. "That better now love?" I nodded against his chest and hummed happily before kissing his cheek gently.
"Thank you, Remmy." He gave me another squeeze before walking back into the room with me and patting his lap as he sat on the bed, against the headboard. I grinned and climbed onto the bed, settling myself so I was straddling him with my legs on either side of his hips. His hands looked huge against my thighs and I traced the scars on them with a small smile.
"Feeling better now little one?" His eyes were warm and kind as always. I nodded as his thumb rubbed against my skin, feeling a little more settled but still itching for some sort of contact. "Still feeling needy huh? Have you eaten yet Bunny?" I dropped my eyes from his and glanced at his hands shyly whilst shaking my head slowly. "Well, you need to eat a little something before anything happens because I don't want you getting ill." I nodded softly and clambered off his lap as he nipped down to the common room to make a sandwich. After he had brought it up and settled on the bed with me, I nibbled at it in little bits, glad to have the encouragement of my dom, not wanting to eat after the day I'd had but doing it because I knew he was right. Once I had finished half, I looked at Moony and he nodded in understanding, taking the plate and placing it on the bedside table, he knew I couldn't eat it all at the moment.
Minutes passed, and I let my food settle and had a drink of water before I started to feel fidgety and needy again. I pressed my face into the Lycanthrope's neck as I whined at him, hoping it would catch his attention. He chuckled but pulled my face to him, letting our lips connect into a gentle kiss. Instantly, I melted with a small sigh as my chest fell so it was pressing against his comfortably, soothed by the feeling of his thumb rubbing my skin gently. I whimpered quietly as I felt his bulge start to grow beneath me and tried as hard as I could to keep my hips still. Large hands slid from my thighs to my waist and started to move my hips slowly, silently allowing me to grind against him as my head started to cloud.
Warmth spread through my body as the anxiety and frustration I had from earlier melted away in lust for my Dom. The feeling of his rough hands against my hips mixed with the bulge beneath me had my back arching as I sped up the pace a little.
"Ah ah Bunny, you've had a very overwhelming and emotional day," He cut himself off with a low groan, grip tightening on my hips. "You need to take this slow or you'll drop and we know how bad you get when that happens don't we?" I knew the question was rhetorical so I slowed myself down back to the original speed before wrapping my arms around his neck loosely. His warmth soothed me until a chuckle began to rumble in his chest which caught my attention. "Bun, I can feel how wet you are right now and I've barely touched you. I can smell you too, you smell delicious." His voice lowered considerably when he said it and I hid my face in his throat as the blood flushed my already warm cheeks. "Awww my shy girl, don't have to be shy f'me Bun, let me see your pretty little face." I lifted my head to find him smiling at me lovingly and pulling open the buttons of the cardigan, exposing my bare chest to him. Warm lips met my collarbone as he kept my hips moving slowly but kissed any skin he could get to. I let my head fall back and my mouth open in a sigh of relief as his mouth made its way down to my nipples, which had hardened when the cool air of the dorm met them. I wrapped my fingers into his hair and pulled his head from my chest gently.
"Remmy, I really really need you," I pressed my forehead against his, pressing my core against him harder. "Please, want you to do whatever you want with me. Make me do anything to you, use my mouth or my body, anything." I truly was desperate for anything he was willing to give me, I was on the verge of tears.
"Bun, I'm not gonna use you, Sirius did that and you ended up in this state so I'm gonna help you and give you what you need and want. This is about you baby." His hands manoeuvred me as he spoke, placing me against the pillows carefully as my breath caught in my throat. "Now, what's my name little one?"
"Daddy, you're my Daddy." I didn't have the energy or patience to be bratty about it so I gave him the right answer the first time.
"Good girl, now let Daddy take these off," He tugged at the waistband of my underwear and I lifted my hips so he could slip them off. "Let me see my pretty girl." I let my legs spread and watched as he grinned and licked his lips as if he was hungry. "Atta girl." A gentle thumb rubbed patterns on my skin as he knelt on the bed, level with my throbbing heat. "Bunny's all wet f'me huh? D'you think I should help out?" I nodded furiously and bit my lip to hold in a whine at the teasing.
He chuckled darkly and slid his hands under my parted legs to hold them apart with strong hands before peppering kisses over the skin of my thighs, working closer and closer as he went. When the kisses reached where I wanted him most, he continued but avoided touching my clit. I whimpered as his grip tightened and he finally pressed his mouth to me, letting his tongue rub around my bundle of nerves. If it wasn't for his hands holding me down then I knew my hips would be pushing against his mouth as hard as I could. It didn't take long for him to get the idea of what I needed as his tongue finally met my clit, tracing circles into it. My legs tensed as a gasp escaped me, my eyes squeezing shut as a flash of long-awaited pleasure ran through me. I lifted my head and looked down at him, eyes meeting my Dom's as they sparkled.
"Daddy, please, need more." I felt breathless as he gave me just what I asked for, moving one of his hands to rub circles into my clit as his tongue thrust inside me with a groan. It didn't take long for the feeling to begin bubbling in my abdomen as he sped up, knowing by the way my body reacted that I wouldn't be able to last much longer. My breath got heavier as I moaned and gasped through the feeling, reaching my peak as he nipped at my clit. The world seemed to drown out as a much-needed feeling washed over me and I came, moaning and thrashing as he held me down and carried me through it.
"Shh shh, it's okay Bunny," He crooned, slowing his motions down before coming to a stop and pressing kisses to my trembling thighs. "That's daddy's good girl." The pet name made me feel warm and fuzzy as I drifted down from my peak, opening my eyes to find his amber eyes staring back at me. He licked his lips before running his hand over his mouth with a grin. "You really are delicious Bun."
I smiled and pulled him down towards me for a kiss, hands bunching into his jumper as his lips met mine. I pulled at it, letting him sit up to pull off the jumper and shirt so I could touch his bare chest, grinning at how warm he was. My fingers traced over his scars nonchalantly as they always did and he smiled down at me. I loved the feeling of the scars, they were a big turn-on for me, and him letting me touch them meant he trusted me, especially in such an intimate moment.
"Let's get you stretched out and I'll give you everything you want little one," I nodded softly and bit my lip as two of his fingers worked inside me, giving me enough to sigh in pleasure and relief but not satisfy me completely. "Good girl Bunny." The praise made the flush on my chest travel to my cheeks and a hazy smile made its way to my face.
"I wouldn't be doing that if I were you Moony," My moans were cut off by Sirius as he spoke up from the doorway. My eyes widened as I heard his voice and Remmy's thumb rubbed my hip to comfort me as he turned to meet Sirius' gaze. I could hear the smirk in his voice as he caught us.
"And why's that Pads?" His tone stayed neutral so he didn't tip the other male off that he knew what had happened. "She's my good girl and good girls deserve to feel good." The darker-haired male scoffed at the words, chuckling darkly as Remus rubbed his free hand on my thigh gently.
"Well, your good girl happens to be a rule breaker and apparently a liar Remus or didn't she tell you what she did?" Remus smiled down at me, hidden from Siri's gaze.
"Oh you mean about how she got up late and didn't go to a single lesson." Sirius nodded but gestured for him to continue to say there was more than just that. "And perhaps you mean about how she was taken into a side room with someone who just used her as a cumdump," My core clenched around his fingers at the words, "leaving her hurting and needy so she spent the day up here suffering and upset and so far in subspace that she thought cleaning herself up would be rule-breaking." Sirius' smug grin dropped as soon as he realised Remus knew and I couldn't help the slight smile on my face. "Or maybe you mean the part where you tricked her into thinking it wasn't rule-breaking because she was doing as you said, could possibly even be the part where you said you'd lie to me and say it was her idea." I knew Remus was unhappy and disappointed with his other sub by this point but his fingers didn't stop moving inside me, letting me feel him inside me as I let out soft whimpers and moans that broke through the tension. I almost cried out as the lycanthrope pulled his fingers out of me so he could stand, stalking toward Padfoot, but I swallowed it down because I was his good girl and didn't want to interrupt.
"Moony, I didn't mean for her to get hurt or upset." He began, "I saw her on the way to class and I couldn't help myself she was just so beautiful." My body flushed more at the unexpected compliment. "I just wanted to get a release is all." Remus shook his head in annoyance as he cornered the smaller boy with a dark grin.
"I don't care, you still did it even when you knew it wasn't allowed. And didn't you think that maybe Y/N wanted a release too rather than being used and left pent up with your cum still inside her for the day?" My body shivered at his words, my pussy clenched around the air. "Because that's how I found her. Crying on my pillow with your cum dribbling out of her. She missed out Pads, big time and now because of what you did you're gunna miss out too." As he spoke, Remmy pulled Sirius by the wrist over to one of the chairs and used wordless magic to bind him to it but not before removing his clothes with a spell.
"Moons, I didn't mean to, please don't make me sit here and -"
"I'm sorry, I didn't recall saying you had a choice or that you could speak did I?" His eyes glared into Siri's as he straightened himself out and began to strip off himself entirely. My mouth watered as he got entirely naked and I sat up slightly so I could watch the way his muscles shifted under his freckled skin. "I'm going to make her feel so good and you're going to watch and think about what you did and how you can make it up to her. And if she's not entirely satisfied then you'll have to do whatever she wants. Is that understood?" His voice was harsh and clipped as he walked back over to the bed, nodding in satisfaction when the tied-up boy agreed.
"Can I please have you now Daddy?" I begged, pulling his shoulders down as he came to kneel on the bed between my legs.
"Of course, you can Bunny." I smiled as he pulled me into a kiss, his tongue mingling with my own so the taste of my cum transferred into my mouth, leaving me moaning. My breath hitched in anticipation as Remus positioned himself at my entrance, using my cum as lubrication to push into my tight, throbbing heat. My grip on his shoulders tightened as he pushed into me as far as he could. A loud groan filled the room as the tip of his cock came to a stop against my cervix, unable to go any further; I never could fully fit him. Sirius' desperate moans faded into the background as my body jolted with short, sharp thrusts. I let my eyes meet his tear-filled grey ones as my own watered with pleasure and relief giving him an idea of what he could've had if only he'd played fair.
"Please Rem, it hurts," Siri whined as he tried to wiggle in his bands, hissing as the red, leaking tip of his cock rubbed against his stomach at the movement, eyes fluttering away from my face.
"That's a real shame Pads," The wolf growled sarcastically, gritting his teeth as I clenched around him, pulling him close to me. "Now you know how my Bunny felt." My walls fluttered as his thrusts sped up and I climbed towards my peak much quicker than I'd have liked. It didn't take long for him to find a specific spot along my velvet walls which made me see stars as a loud and almost pornographic moan ripped from my throat, making me gush around my Dom as I toppled over my peak and through my high. The way I tightened around him, had him moaning loudly and stuttering hips came to a stop as he buried as far into me as he could, thick ribbons of his cum coating my insides generously as he buried his face in my neck, biting down to leave his mark. He stifled his moans as they vibrated against my neck.
I raked my fingers through his hair as my vision came back into focus and listened to the sounds of his panting and last few moans. His head lifted slowly, letting his eyes fall on mine, before dipping to kiss me sweetly.
"Any better Bunny?"
"Much better, thank you, Daddy." I giggled as he pressed a kiss to the tip of my nose before pulling out slowly, hushing me as I whined at the feeling and overstimulation.
"D'you think we should let him help?" I hummed in thought for a moment before nodding up at him. "Okay Pads, you follow my every word or you go back on the chair." His curly hair bounced as he nodded vigorously. "You're going to kneel in between her legs and eat every last bit of my cum out of her, swallow it all, and then maybe I'll let you get some stimulation on you're selfish, needy cock." With a snap of his fingers, the binds fell away from the marauder's body and disappeared, allowing the boy to scramble over to the bed and straight to where Remmy said.
I worked through the sensitivity as his tongue began to lap at my pussy, ignoring how it quivered at the feeling. Large hands snaked around my thighs as he held my legs open for him so he could feast to his heart's content. I whined, feeling cum begin to slide out of me and down towards the bed sheets. Before it could get any further, Sirius' tongue licked a stripe from my ass upwards to catch it and swallow it down just as he'd been told to. Keening at the feeling, he buried his face into my pussy, suckling and slurping at me as my fingers curled into his hair and the bedsheets, loving how his fingers dug into my thighs. Small tears began to drip down my cheeks as the strength of my pleasure shook my thighs around his head. The sounds of his moans as he ate me out made my stomach clench in pleasure and anticipation and I found myself fighting to hold back the third orgasm of the day.
"Daddy," I gasped. "M'close again." A smile donned my Dom's face as he reached down to brush the hair from my face. My voice was barely a whisper as sobs of pleasure began to rack my body.
"Go ahead baby, cum on Padfoot's tongue."And with that, I let my body release what I'd been holding back, gasping my way through it. Though it was an amazing feeling, this was different from the others, more soothing because of the sensitivity and stimulation, leaving me feeling warm and fuzzy, like I was drifting. "That's it, good girl." His voice kept me grounded as I shuddered through the feeling, not being able to stop my trembling legs as he lapped at me, slower now. The subspace I had been suffering in earlier melted into a gentle and calm one that I had needed.
"Can't do anymore Daddy," I whimpered, fingers tightening in Sirius' curls as I tried to pull him away from my throbbing heat. "No more mouth, Daddy, tell 'im please." Remus chuckled and nodded at my request.
"Alright Pads, enough now." On cue, the mouth against me retracted and he came into view above me, a small grin but apologetic eyes as he hovered over me. He leaned down to kiss me softly and I reciprocated, enjoying his soft lips on my own. "Okay Bunny, One last time and then you can rest okay? I know we have you worked up but this will be last because he's been good and listened to me." I didn't have the strength to argue with him as my other Dom positioned my legs around his waist before pressing into me slowly. My back arched at the feeling, eyes rolling back and mouth open in a silent moan whilst the tears were wiped from my cheeks. His head fell into the crook of my neck as he thrust against me, having lost all of his composure from his punishment and eating what was left over from it. My eyes squeezed shut, my fingers scrambled against his back as he sped up, not being able to hold back as long as he'd like, my nails making crescent dents in his soft skin.
"Come on Poppet," He growled into my ear, with me whining in response. "One more, just one." His thrusts began to lose their rhythm as I clenched around him, eyes flowing with tears. "Cum for me Poppet." The way he moaned in my ear sent me over my final peak and I couldn't tell if the moan was loud or silent with how strong the feeling surged through me. I heaved for air as it was knocked out of my lungs, gripping onto whatever I could to try and stop the feeling of falling. It took what felt like a good while for me to come back to my senses.
"That's it Bunny, You're okay." The first feeling I could isolate was the way my legs trembled, aching from their spread position though there was nobody in between them anymore. My own broken breaths sounded in my ears as my heart thumped against my ribs. Gentle hands held my hair back from my face as my eyes fluttered behind their lids.
"Come on Poppet, come back to us." Sirius seemed to beg as he whispered to me, a large hand wiping the tears from my face as I came back down. I whined at the feeling of more cum slipping out of me and groaned as my eyes batted open and painfully lifted my aching legs to curl them to my side to stop the pain of being spread too long. "There she is." His grin looked relieved as he glanced down at me. The bed shifted beside me as Remus got up and returned from the bathroom with a warm, damp washcloth. My legs snapped shut around his hand as he started to clean up the mess that was left behind, hissing at the over-sensitive feeling that shocked my body.
"Now Bunny," The lycanthrope warned. "You have to let me clean you up. Can't leave you in this mess." Too exhausted to fight, I let him part my legs one more time and swipe, dab and clean away Sirius' cum and my own. All the while, I cried out in discomfort and slight pain but tried to focus on Sirius' gentle hand rubbing my stomach. It didn't take long for Remmy to finish his task but by the time he was stopping I weakly kicked his hands away, whimpering and welling up with more tears.
"No more, ouch Remmy, stop," I begged through tears, their faces blurring as Remus came to sit at the top of the bed with us. "Can't do it, hurts Rem, all done," I mumbled tiredly, making no sense but soothed by the covers that were pulled up over my body and the two boys that cuddled me and caressed my body sweetly whilst I floated.
"All done Bunny don't worry." A shivering exhale deflated my body, letting me relax bonelessly against the bed.
"Poppet," Sirius whispered, a hand running through my hair as my eyes met his own. "I'm sorry for what I did sweet girl, I won't ever hurt you like that again I swear. I'm sorry." I smiled softly at him and nodded, pulling him down for a gentle kiss to let him know he was forgiven.
"I think it's time you got some rest now though Bunny, Your body is exhausted and your head is too fuzzy so you need to sleep it off." Before Moony had finished talking, I was already drifting off. I finally fell asleep to the two protecting me and holding me to them like I was a prized possession.

How can you tell them apart? [Fred Weasley]
(Gif not by me)
Title: How can you tell them apart?
Pairing: FredWeasley x Gryffindor!reader, background Ginny x Harry.
Timeline: Non-specified, mentions of a non canonical kiss between Ginny and Harry.
Summary: Reader is the only person able to tell Fred and George apart and the twins have never known how she was able to, until one of them overhears, learning a little more than he had intended.
Warnings: a few swear words, mentions of kissing, brief angst and utter fluff. Not beta read nor spellchecked, we die like Sirius.
As always, I have used a little artistic license when it comes to the dorm accessibility between boys and girls, in order to fit the story.
"How the bloody hell can you tell them apart? Our mum can't even tell them apart!" Ron says exasperated as he flings himself down on the couch inside the Gryffindor common room, bumping clumsily into Hermione as he takes his place.
"Yeah I've been wondering the same thing..." Fred says suspiciously, moving closer to you as he fixes you with a mock glare which is juxtaposed by the glimmer in his eyes and the threat of a smirk tugging at his lips. George tails closely behind him and looks more than a little confused but happy to go along with it, a fake accusatory glare fixed on you, though it is much softer than Fred's. You fight to push down the nervous butterflies that build within you as Fred stalks darkly over to you, hovering like a looming shadow. "What can I say, it must be a gift," you shrug smugly, averting your eyes towards Hermione who looks upon you in amusement.
The twins had come down from their dorm for breakfast wearing one of their signature Weasley sweaters, emblazoned with their stitched initial on the front. You'd said nothing further than a greeting and had slipped them a knowing smirk before tucking into your breakfast. When the twin wearing the G sweater had asked for your opinion on something, you hadn't hesitated to correctly address him, much to everyone's confusion.
"I don't know Fred, maybe it's better that you leave it this week."
"Umm y/n, that's George," Ron had said wearily, with a cringe on his face at your mistake. You'd simply snorted in reply, barely looking up from your buttered toast and replied, "yeah and I'm Hermione."
"How!?" George had blurted out, outraged that you'd seen straight through their little scheme. Fred simply looked at you with a questioning gaze, trying to read your face but you had remained resolute, sitting smugly as you finished your breakfast.
Fred refuses to acknowledge your answer as an explanation and crouches down in front of the loveseat you are sat on so that you are eye level with each other. His eyes wash over your face, the suspicious look still plastered on his face as he tries desperately to search for some kind of clue.
"Try again," he whispers darkly as your eyes meet, his eyes sparkling with a dangerous glimmer. Refusing to be intimidated, you simply allow a smug smile to bloom over your face as you smile up at him innocently with doe eyes, showing him that you won't be exposing your secrets.
Not once taking his gaze off you, he bites his bottom lip, pulling it into his mouth as he often does when he's concentrating. “Georgie, I think we need to test out her gift," Fred says darkly, almost as if he's trying to call your bluff.
"Fred, I was thinking the same thing," George says ominously behind his brother as he moved and crouches down beside his slightly older twin, both of them now facing you with a dangerous look in their eye.
Much to your disappointment, Ginny had chosen that exact moment to burst through into the common room and immediately required your attention, pulling you and Hermione away from the intimidating twins and ushering you both into your shared dorm with only a questionable apology shot in the direction of her brothers at her interruption.
Once back in your dorm, Ginny immediately began retelling the story of what had just happened between her and Harry, finally kissing after years of flirting and building tension. You had almost forgot about your moment with the twins as you listened to your friend gush, so overwhelmingly pleased for her that she was finally getting the boy she had longed for, for years. "So, you seemed awfully close with my brothers back there," Ginny finally says, shooting you an accusatory glance as Hermione giggles, explaining on your behalf what had happened.
"So how can you tell them apart? I still have no clue and I'm related to them!" Ginny says, pulling the pillow beside her into her lap as she leans in slightly, intently listening to your answer.
You shrug slightly, not wanting to make it a big deal. "I don't know, there's loads of little differences between them, you just have to know what to look for."
"Like?" Ginny says, trying to bait you. You huffed out a sound that was a mixture of a laugh and a sigh, knowing there would be no escape from the questioning.
"Well, Fred has a slightly rounder face and a straighter nose than George and his eyes are a slightly different shape. He's got a scar on his left eyebrow and a little mark on his nose and George had two moles on his neck which Fred doesn't have. Fred used to be slightly taller but now it's George, not by much but it's noticeable if you're looking. Fred's hair sticks out like a flick at the end whereas George's doesn't, it sort of lies flat but with a little kink where he tucks it behind his ears when he's concentrating. Fred's slightly broader than George, like his shoulders and back are a little wider. Fred is usually always the one to speak first and then George will follow behind explaining whatever Fred has said because most of the time it's a blunt statement or an implication without any context."
You immediately felt embarrassed as your little rant had come to an end, never intending to spout out all your knowledge on the pair as Ginny and Hermione look at you with a mixture of shock and amusement.
"How much do you actually look at them?" Ginny teases, only furthering your blush.
"That's quite a list," Hermione says with a cheeky smile on her lips.
"Fine, fine thank you," you say sarcastically, trying to get them to shut up as you sit there mortified at your confession.
"So it's Fred then?" Ginny asks, making you frown in confusion. "Well most of the list was Fred this, Fred that and only a little bit of George sprinkled in. It's Fred that you like?" She's dropped her teasing tone and asks you honestly as a friend. You know that there's really no way you can deny it at this point and simply nod your head, biting your lip to hold back your smile. She immediately squealed and did a little dance on the bed at your confession.
"I mean, in the beginning I just really wanted to be able to tell them apart. I didn't want to be just like everyone else who either guessed or limped them together or ignored them because they couldn't tell, I wanted to be their friend," you shrugged gently. "The more I noticed the differences, the more I realised that it was Fred that I felt more connected to and I guess I started to get feelings for him and it's just carried on really."
"How long?" Hermione asks delicately.
"Years," you huffed out a laugh at your pathetic confession.
"But to answer your question, I can use those things to tell them apart but mainly it's just the feeling I get from Fred, like my mind knows when it's Fred and when it isn't," you shrug again. "He walks into a room and I just feel like magnetic pull like an invisible string that I don't get when it's George. Ughr I'm so pathetic." You drop your head into your hands as the realisation washes over you. The girls immediately try and comfort you but are quickly silenced by a knock on the dorm door. You each look around scandalised at who would be knocking now and you immediately feel a sinking feeling that someone might have heard your confession. Ginny goes and answers the door and awkwardly shuffles to the side at the caller steps into the room.
Fred. Shit.
You're sure you can't go any redder than you already are, wishing the bed would just swallow you up right then and there. "Just checking in on you ladies," he says but you can see his eyes shoot to you with a look you couldn't place, as if he was lying.
Ginny suddenly launches towards him and pulls at a wire hanging out of his pocket, gasping as she pulls out the extendable ear that he had clearly used to spy on your conversation.
Tears began to brim in your eyes as you thought of how much he'd heard, your whole world crashing down at the very thought. You were so painfully embarrassed you wanted to run away and sob but you were completely frozen in place, wishing it all to go away.
"Um, could I talk to y/n/n?" Fred asks shyly, running his hand through his hair. His sudden uncharacteristic shyness only fuelled your desire to cry, solidifying the idea that he was embarrassed and offended by your unwilling confession of feelings for him. He was probably mortified too that someone like you had feelings for him, no doubt either disgusted by the idea or trying to hold down his laughter at your pitiful crush.
"Y/n?" Ginny asks, turning to you to wait for your consent, subconsciously defending you like the great friend she was, even if it was against her own brother. You felt Hermione's stare on your sad form and you simply nodded, knowing you just needed to get it over with, like pulling a plaster off of a fresh wound.
"We'll be right downstairs," Hermione said, not missing the opportunity to glare at Fred as she walked past, trying her best to appear threatening. You couldn't meet his eyes, not even when the door clicked closed and you were left alone. You had never felt so achingly awkward in his presence and you tried your hardest not to let your thoughts spiral as you considered his next move. Fred crept closer to you, no doubt judging your demeanour carefully to check that you wouldn't launch yourself at him or run away if he spooked you. You felt the bed dip as he took a seat beside you, sitting on the edge of the bed just close enough to reach out to you.
He said nothing but reached out slowly to gently place his finger under your chin and lift it so that your eyes were looking into his. His eyebrows bunched together slightly as he noticed the unshed tears in your eyes. "I'm so sorry," he says quietly and your eyes closed at the pain consuming you as he began his rejection. "I only intended to hear what Ginny had to say, I wanted to make sure she was okay and that that little shit hadn't upset her. But then you started talking and I was intrigued, I'd always wanted to know how only you were able to tell me and George apart like some kind of superpower. You've never once called me the wrong name, or George and you've never once made us feel like we were the same person, just like everyone else has." His tone was soft and honest, two things you hardly knew Fred was actually capable of, which caught you completely off guard. "It was interesting to hear how well you know us, I never noticed just how well you do, mostly because my attention has always been on you."
Your eyes flashed up to his again at his words and he let out a little smile at seeing your shock.
"I'm sorry I found out like I did, but I'm so fucking glad I know now and I can't say I regret it." His words only surprised you more and you had to stop yourself from gaping at him.
"Tell me if I'm reading this wrong, but I really, really want to kiss you right now," he says, chuckling slightly as your eyes widen, the thumb of his hand that was cradling your chin absently stroking your cheek.
You don't waste another second and slightly lean into him, trying to close the distance between you as he leans forward, bridging the gap and capturing your lips in a kiss that sets off butterflies in you. The kiss deepens almost instantly as he pulls you closer to him, your arms snaking around his shoulders as you put every ounce of emotion into kissing him back, feeling like Weasley whiz bangs were going off all around you. His hand cradles your chin and neck as he holds you, dominating the kiss which you never want to end. You pull apart eventually, both a little out of breath as you look at each other with a little laugh shared between you at the sudden shift in mood.
"I'm a complete fool, if I'd just told you how I felt at the beginning we could have been doing that for years," he says with his signature smirk back in place, still a little breathless from the searing kiss you'd just shared.
You huffed out a laugh in reply, "not a completely fool, just a fool," you teased. He immediately launched himself at you, wrestling you to the bed as he climbs over you, planting another kiss on your lips as his hand tangled into your hair to hold you close to him.
"I'm not wasting anymore time," he says, pulling away as he gazes sincerely into your eyes, "be my girl?"
"I've always been your girl," you reply quietly, looking up at him with a sincere, loving smile. He smiles, chuckles and reaches down to give you one more kiss and you're convinced you could die happy now.

yellow hearts
summary: the times you put yellow hearts around his name, and the times he put them around yours.
pairing: sirius black x reader
warning: sappy fluff
wc: 1.6k
a/n: yellow hearts by ant saunders. a cute little thing I made upon hearing this song after many many years. finally able to write something short!
“Girl, what is this?!”
You whine, slamming your diary shut. Your cheeks suddenly feel hot and you try your hardest to avoid Lily’s prying gaze. She tries to look over your shoulder again, letting out a disappointed groan at the sight of a shiny cover.
“Just… Zip it,” you sigh, still flustered and really embarrassed. “You didn’t see anything!”
“No, no, I definitely just saw it!” Lily shouts and you have to hush her, noticing a few people at the table giving you weird glances. “Was it “Sirius” with hearts around?” she asks, her voice a bit calmer but still conveying the same emotions.
“No…”
You stutter, giving yourself completely and irrevocably away. Your eyes make an automatic roll and you scoot over to make space for your friend. Lily plops down next to you, her eager hands already reaching for your little navy-blue diary. Before you have time to hide it, she snatches the book from you and starts flicking through the pages, ignoring whatever is written on them. Finally, she finds the right page and bends the spine of the diary to have a better look.
Here it is, in all its glory. A “Sirius” with shiny yellow hearts drawn all around.
“Eww!!!”
Lily wrinkles her whole face, looking at you and then at your scribbles again.
“Don’t tell me it’s that prat Black from our year! Is it?!”
You sigh, taking the diary from her and putting it safely in your bag.
“Who else has the name, Lily? Think.”
You stare down at your breakfast, hoping that as long as you don’t look at your friend, she will miraculously forget about your existence.
“But he hangs out with Potter and they’re a bunch of tossers!” Lily’s voice is loud again, earning you a few more concerned looks.
You sigh again, biting on a slice of bacon.
“Maybe,” you mumble with your mouth full.
Lily rolls her eyes. Her plate remains untouched as she turns to you, fully intending to push for more information.
“And since when?” she demands, raising her eyebrow. You start to feel like a criminal being questioned in court.
“Last year,” you answer reluctantly, knowing that she won’t let you be if you don’t pour your whole heart out right here and now.
Lily scoffs, shaking her head in disbelief.
“This is so messed up! What’re you gonna do?”
You don’t reply. You don’t know yet. You don’t plan to ever know. But you don’t stop your sappy scribbles – you just make sure Lily never sees them again.
The second time someone sees the yellow hearts is much, much worse.
It’s your fifth year. You lost the diary a couple of days ago and you go absolutely mental trying to remember all the places you could have left it at. Your heartbeat briefly stops every time you think of a possibility of someone finding it, reading it and knowing it all.
“Oi, come on! It’s not like fancying Black is just a you thing!”
Lily tries to calm you down as best as she can. She has been lightly teasing you about your crush on Sirius for the previous two years, but she sees your worry and, being a good friend she is, hugs you and helps you on a secret mission to search every single classroom for any signs of the diary. Unfortunately, no luck.
“Lily, shut up! I have a wand and I’m not afraid to use it.”
You nibble on your nails for the hundredth time today – a nasty habit you have developed ever since losing the only way to let out your growing feelings towards a certain someone.
“What? The whole school is mad about him and his pack of tossers! No one’d blink an eye.”
“But what if he finds it?!”
“He finds what?”
You freeze at the sound of a voice, and not just a voice, his voice. A young fellow appears from behind the bench you’re sitting on, followed by three other guys, all snickering and whispering something to each other.
“Hello there, ladies,” Sirius murmurs, making a funny little bow.
“Black, shut it!” Lily immediately retorts, noticing your hopeless gaze. “Keep walking, and you might just live.”
“Well, I would, but I may have something you’re looking for.”
No. No, no, no, no.
A small navy-blue book appears in his hand and you suddenly feel like the bottom of the lake wouldn’t be such a horrible spot to be in. Lily’s eyes are wide and you think that if she had an ability to cast spells with just her eyes, she would use it right at this moment.
“Where the hell-” she starts, but you cut her off, not willing to prolong the already tense and miserable moment.
“Sirius, please, give it back.”
Your voice trembles treacherously and you mentally curse yourself for such a poor attempt at hiding your emotions. A thought of trading your face for a brick wall doesn’t seem that unappealing.
To your surprise, Sirius hands you the book without any of his usual shenanigans that you would normally expect. Your fingers brush his as you snatch the diary from him and you hold in a gasp; you would not mind becoming a delicious meal for the mermaids to munch on.
Sirius turns on his heels to leave, but then stops abruptly, as if he forgot something. A moment later, he’s at your ear, his breath warming up your already flaming hot cheek.
“I like yellow,” he whispers as his lips graze against your stray baby hairs; they suddenly feel like а bouquet of exposed nerves.
He leaves, shameless about the fact that his actions made your heart perform acrobatics within the bounds of your ribcage.
“What did he say?!” Lily repeats over and over, but you can barely hear her voice. You flip through the pages erratically and the right one catches your eye at last. A glaring “Sirius” with yellow hearts around it. You notice another name at the bottom of the page. A name of your own, staring right at you. And around it, the same yellow hearts.
The third time someone sees the yellow hearts you aren’t anxious anymore.
It’s your seventh year. Exams are approaching, but seeing as your boyfriend is Sirius Black, it’s hard to get any actual studying done. You have been dating for quite a while now, but it still feels… new.
You’re in Transfiguration together. He sits several rows behind you – a rule McGonagall made just a week prior, “For your own good”, as she said, because together you weren’t making much progress. But he still finds ways to remind you of his presence – he makes paper birds, charming them to fly right to you. Sometimes they’re just pretty birds, sometimes they’re notes with some silly poem he wrote for you, just to make you laugh and earn a warning from Minerva – for both of you, because the source of your distraction is really obvious.
Another bird lands on the desk in front of you. You quickly glance at McGonagall and, much to your contentment, notice that she’s preoccupied with her textbook.
“Hey,” you hear a whisper from behind. Of course, you recognize Sirius. He grins at you and gestures to unfold the origami. Even before you can do it, you see a sheer golden glow emanating from within. Your smile grows wider as you open the poor bird and see the letters scribbled down on a piece of parchment.
Your name. And yellow hearts around it.
McGonagall clears her throat somewhere above you. Her menacing glare tries to burn a hole in your head, but you don’t really care. You give her a sorry nonetheless.
“Shall I teach special classes, so that you attend in the morning and Mr. Black – in the evening?” the professor demands, but you see glimmers of amusement in her eyes. She briefly glances at the note she took from you and gives you and Sirius one of her raised-eyebrow looks, but you see the corners of her mouth lift up ever so slightly. You hear Sirius chuckle, close your eyes and smile. You don’t need anyone else.
The fourth time yellow hearts frame not one name, but two.
You and Sirius have just returned from your honeymoon. You have a whole stack of polaroids from your trip and you want to pick just one to put on the fridge in your shared home. The job proves to be rather difficult. You almost have a fight, which is so stupid and insignificant, but so you.
“Babe, this one is obviously superior! You see how stunning I am in this jacket?!”
“Yeah, and I’m blinking like an idiot because the sun is right up in my face. Sirius, babe, not everything has to be about you.”
You finally choose the one. It’s the last polaroid in your stack and you just can’t take your eyes off of it. In the picture, you’re waving at the camera and laughing, with an ice cream cone in your hand. Sirius pulls you in for a kiss and when he leans away, his nose is adorned with a spot of white ice cream.
You can’t help giggling, show the polaroid to Sirius and he does the same.
“This is it,” you say simultaneously and cackle at your apparently developed skill in Legilimency.
“Just a moment.”
Sirius stops you from taking the picture, takes out a sharpie and writes something on a white area at the bottom of it. He takes out his wand, silently waves it in front of the picture and only then goes up to the fridge and puts it up with many others. He steps back to have a better look at his creation.
You’re flustered, but a joyful smile doesn’t leave your lips. Sirius understands and places a gentle kiss on your temple. You look at the words written on the polaroid once more.
A “Sirius” and then your name below it. Around it, shiny yellow hearts shimmering in the sun and casting an array of rainbow specks all over the kitchen.

Have you done Snape/Sirius for the ship asks yet?
thank you very much for the ask, anon!
and what better occasion than sirius' birthday to give @ashesandhackles something she's been waiting for for well over a year...
so here we are then...
the snack manifesto
besides the ship name, the reason this ship slaps is for the absolutely classic reason that it's smashing a narrative mirror pairing together.
snape and sirius are obviously incredibly similar personality wise - they're both arrogant, theatrical, incredibly clever, creative, capable of great cruelty, stubborn, loyal, possessed of dry senses of humour, from difficult family backgrounds, and so on - and their differences - such as their looks, class, or wealth - are polar rather than divergent.
but they also serve identical narrative purposes. each functions as the guide who leads harry through the character arc which begins in prisoner of azkaban and concludes in deathly hallows, in which he sheds his childish, black-and-white view of his parents and comes to regard them as real, flawed, and complex people.
sirius takes him up to the end of order of the phoenix [and is then immediately killed, his narrative role complete], when harry's realisation that james was a bully stops his earlier hero-worship of his father and allows him to approach him as a whole person.
[which is important, since we then see in half-blood prince that voldemort's inability to do this - and his inability, therefore, to cope with the disappointment of discovering the elaborate fictional version of tom riddle sr. he'd created in his head wasn't what the real one was like - is why the text understands harry as superior to him.]
snape - through the proxies of slughorn, the discipline of potions, his textbook, his patronus, and his memories - takes harry through half-blood prince and deathly hallows, as harry starts to think more deeply about lily [who spends the earlier books secondary in importance to james in his mind] and to eventually learn that she and her sacrifice are the keys to the entire mystery.
snape and sirius are the figures who assist in this arc because each of their lives are defined by their relationship with and love for one half of james and lily as a pairing. their mirrored relationships with harry are similarly driven by their mirrored relationships with his parents.
and, most importantly, so is their relationship with each other. they hate each other on sight because snape blames sirius for james noticing lily [thus drawing her attention away from him] and sirius blames snape for the same thing [thus drawing james' attention away from him] and their constant mutual antagonism is the most interesting snape-versus-one-of-the-marauders dynamic because of the equality this lends. snape likes antagonising sirius - even though he thinks sirius tried to murder him! - whereas he is straightforwardly afraid of lupin and feels inferior to and resentful of james, because he must sense - however subconsciously - that sirius is his emotional equal: someone else struggling against the fact that the person he loves doesn't love him with the same intensity.
the mutual spark this creates is hot enough for an enemies-to-lovers conflagration for the ages even while they're at school. but it gets so much better once we're in the canon timeline, since sirius and snape's adult characterisation is entirely driven by their mirrored approaches to guilt and grief.
both of them indirectly trigger the death of the person they love - snape via reporting the prophecy, sirius via insisting on the secret keeper swap - and neither accepts that his actions were, in fact, indirect.
hollowed out by this feeling, both of them decide to punish themselves in an effort - one which they both clearly consider near-futile - to atone. both of them do this by subjecting themselves to the pain and humiliation of imprisonment and being thought a criminal - sirius by refusing to profess his innocence at any point before 1993; snape by staying at hogwarts and insisting that dumbledore keeps his true motivations concealed, allowing him to be thought of as an unreformed death eater - until they have a shot at the only thing they each think will redeem them in james and lily's eyes - murdering wormtail, for sirius, and murdering voldemort, for snape.
[after all, why does dumbledore say to harry at king's cross that his aim was for snape to control the elder wand if he wasn’t hoping he'd use it to give the dark lord his death blow? it's just a shame the dream-team of draco malfoy and nagini got there first...]
and this mirrored grief provides such a good point of narrative tension between them, which can so easily grow into something romantic.
because you have, at first, the fact that each can use the other's grief to wound - snape can scream at sirius about how stupid the secret keeper plan was; sirius can scream at snape about what a cunt he was to report the prophecy to voldemort - and to soothe - if snape blames sirius for lily's death, he can pretend that reporting the prophecy was less integral to it than it was; if sirius blames snape for james', he can pretend that insisting wormtail was the secret keeper was less integral to it than it was.
but this can then grow into a recognition of both their mutual culpability - the secret keeper swap only happened because of the prophecy; the prophecy could only be acted upon because of the secret keeper swap - and their mutual lack of it - neither actually knew that what they were doing would doom james and lily, and voldemort is the person who is actually to blame for their deaths.
and this can grow into each of them offering the other the forgiveness he craves, but can't give to himself.
and so, they're the best of the series' mirror pairings for writing love which is totally, utterly equal.
for example, harry and voldemort - who are the series' main narrative mirrors - don't have the mutual weight of guilt driving their relationship. writing them as a consensual romantic pairing requires dealing with the concept of forgiveness, absolutely - but harry is the only person who actually needs to do the forgiving; he hasn't done anything to voldemort which is an equivalent to voldemort killing his parents. similarly, while the grief of their orphanhood and the way it shapes them is one of their main mirror traits, this grief doesn't have equal causes - voldemort's mother died in childbirth; his father, and both of harry's parents, died because voldemort murdered them.
with snape and sirius - in contrast - there is none of this imbalance. they interact with each other - whether they're holding their wands to each other's throats or cuddling on the sofa [or, let's be real, both] - as equals [even though sirius attempts to introduce an element of inequality into many of their canon interactions by alluding to their divergent social classes].
which is to say, there's a respect behind the loathing which allows the loathing to be transformed with very little work into love.

Hi gorgeous! I love ur writing!! Here's a lil blurb request for either Sirius or Remus! It's not smut but more like the lead up/conversation beforehand. Like May be a super inexperienced reader and she's nervous af bc she knows he has way more experience than her and she's worried about being good enough for him or worried about disappointing him and he's just so sweet and reassuring and is just happy she trusts him
Thank you for requesting my love!
cw: mature themes (and immature jokes), no smut
Sirius Black x fem!reader ♡ 667 words
“You’re not gonna suck, baby.” Sirius is laughing at you, which isn’t really the response you were hoping for. You’re so embarrassed it’s making your palms sweat.
“Or,” he reconsiders, “you could, of course, but there’s no pressure to.”
You blow out a frustrated breath. “Can you please just take me…” you trail off, realizing you’re about to hand your boyfriend another joke. By the gleam in Sirius’ eyes, he realizes it too. “Can we please not joke around for a minute?”
“Okay, okay, I’m sorry.” He smooths his face into something approaching sobriety. “We can.”
You’re not sure how he can be so much more comfortable than you right now. Sirius is sitting across from you on the bed, criss-cross applesauce in only his boxers. You at least have on pajamas, and yet this conversation is making you feel more naked than he is.
He asks in a gentler tone, “What is it that you’re worried about, sweetheart? We don’t have to do anything before you’re ready.”
“It’s not that I don’t feel ready,” you sigh. “I want to, I just…I want you to like it.”
Sirius barks out a laugh. “Well, I don’t think we’re in any danger there.”
“You know what I mean.” You shrink away from him a bit, drawing into yourself. “I don’t know what to do. I don’t want it to be disappointing.”
“Baby. Hey.” Sirius scoots closer to you. He ducks his head, catching your gaze and holding on tight. “It doesn’t matter how much experience you have. It could never be disappointing.”
“How do you know?”
“Because it’s you,” he says, emphatic, like it’s obvious. “I always love being with you, it doesn’t matter what we’re doing. And I know sex is going to be the same.” He leans in close like he’s going to tell you a secret. “Sweetheart, you could slap my ass and spit on me and I’d just be thrilled you were there.”
You fight to keep a straight face, furrowing your brows. “So…I shouldn’t do those things?”
“I’m actually not sure.” Sirius sits up, shrugging. “I could be into it, I’ve never tried. Point is, you can do whatever you want.”
“I don’t know what I want,” you tell him, though you are, admittedly, a bit less worried now. “I don’t want to just lie there, I don’t think, but I don’t know what else I’m supposed to do.”
“There’s nothing you’re supposed to do, babydoll.” He gives you a little smile and reaches for your hand. When you give it to him, he holds it in his lap, thumbs tracing the lines of your palm soothingly. “It’s okay not to have a plan going into things. That’s how it usually happens, no matter how many times you’ve done it. You just feel it out and go with the flow.”
You chew your lip. Sirius is looking at you so kindly, his expression warm and open and his touch caring as he starts to draw a slow path up the inside of your wrist. You don’t want to keep arguing with him. Maybe that’s why your voice comes out so small.
“But what if I can’t?”
“You can.” There’s no hesitation in Sirius, no uncertainty. “You really don’t need to worry about it. Your body will react if you let it, and whatever happens, I’ll be there to talk you through it, yeah?”
You exhale. “That actually makes me feel a lot better,” you admit.
Sirius smiles. “I’m glad,” he says, lifting your hand to give your finger a teasing nibble. “Hey, we’re not doing this until you decide you feel like it, so don’t stress, okay? I’ll make sure you have a good time when we do.”
Blood rushes to your cheeks. “How’re you gonna do that?”
Your boyfriend’s eyes gleam. “You wanna find out? I can give you a preview, if you like.”
You don’t have to answer before he’s crawling up on top of you, your giggles lost into his mouth.

Just saw someone say they don't like Snape "because of how he treats children as a grown adult, his creepy behaviour growing up towards Lily, his devotion to voldermort until Lily was in danger, and his blood supremacy and prejudices (eg: how he treated Remus)."
And complain that people say they only dislike Snape because of "misogyny, or societal beauty expectations etc.".
But they still love the marauders and Regulus Black.
The marauders, who bullied Snape simply for existing, and others just for fun. OK, maybe they weren't grown adults, but they were old enough to know that bullying, sa and attempted murder are not OK.
James, who literally threatened to hex Lily for defending Snape and tried to blackmail her into dating him (extremely creepy and not romantic in my eyes).
Regulus, who had a picture wall dedicated to Voldemort as a teen and was a devoted blood supremacist. He only defected (as a death eater, not as a blood supremacist) because Voldemort hurt his property.
Both the marauders and Regulus were extremely prejudiced towards others. Regulus, obviously muggle-borns and probably Gryffindor (or anything that didn't fit with his Slytherin and death eater mentality) and the marauders towards Slytherin. Especially James, who he started bullying Snape for that exact same reason. He also said something along the lines of "Oh I thought you were alright." in a disappointed way towards Sirius when he learned his whole family was in Slytherin. (Like he knew that boy for a few minutes and was about to jump to conclusion and change his view on that 11-year-old boy because of the Hogwarts house his family was in!) and considering their main victim was Snape probably also people who were poor. (Oh, and Snape didn't treat Remus badly because he had a prejudice against werewolfs but because he was a bystander at his bullying despite being a prefect who should have stopped it and maybe even took part in it.)
So I guess people are right about this person because they like characters who did the similar, same or even worse things. The only real difference being that the marauders and Regulus are conventionally attractive/ have a hot fancast. And I'm not even going into (more detail about) how some of their points about Snape are completely out of context, or extremely exaggerated.

REGULUS BLACK
Regulus is heartbroken when James and Lily starts dating.
He doesn't realise why.
And then Remus is talking about Sirius, and saying similar things to what's in his head. "He makes me feel loved, and safe, and wanted. The way he laughs, the way he talks. That's why I love him." And that's when Regulus realises. Oh shit, maybe I love him. The way he smiles, the way he laughs, the way James is the sun to his sky.
James is oblivious for a while.
But then Lily realises she doesn't love James the way she feels like she should.
James and Lily break up, stay friends, and James realises he loves Regulus. The way he smiles, when James gets his attention, or he reads a book that he loves. The quietness. The way he bursts out with his opinions if he feels strongly about something. Regulus finally loving the person who he wants to, openly.
They go up to the Astronomy tower each Sunday, just talking. Each Sunday turns into twice a week. Twice a week into every other day. Every other day into every day. And they're so happy. And Sirius is all "You're dating my baby brother!" and "Brotherfucker." and "Ugh.", but inside he's so happy to see Regulus loving someone openly and fully. And Remus supports the both of them, and so does Peter, and Lily, and Dorcas, and Marlene.
Then Walburga and Orion make Regulus get the Dark Mark.
He's screaming, crying, begging them not to. "Please Mom, please Dad, I can't lose this." Throwing himself in front of them, trying to run away.
Him eventually realising: It doesn't work.
So he gets the Mark. Stays silent as the needle punctures his flesh over and over again.
And then runs to Hogwarts.
Regulus sobbing in the common room of Slytherin, arm swollen and bleeding as he tries to rip the ink out of his skin with his nails, held by an equally sad Evan and Barty.
Sobbing because he's going to lose his brother again, going to lose his friends, his boyfriend, because of ink that he didn't want.
Him trying to grab a knife, scissors. Evan and Barty have to restrain him and watch him constantly, making sure he doesn't carve out flesh from his bones.
So the Dark Mark is permanent.
And Regulus would rather see his boyfriend, the love of his life, not know him, rather than see James hate him for what he didn't want to become.
So he goes to the Astronomy tower after having ignored James for weeks. James didn't know why.
And he tells him. "I got the Mark." And shows him his arm.
And James' eyes widen.
And then - "Wait Reg-"
Regulus sobbing out one word, doubled over in pain, wishing he could go to James. One word.
"Obliviate."
And Regulus erases all of James' memories of him, he's powerful and precise enough to.
And James leaves the tower, confused as to why he went up there in the first place.
And Regulus is sobbing, tears running down his face, hair messed up, clutching at the railing of the tower, wishing he could get the mark away, would do anything. Anything to ease the pain.
He climbs onto the rail. Decides life isn't really worth living anymore, not without his sun. Evan and Barty see him, and run for him, and barely manage to catch him in time.
He makes three more attempts before realising he can't.
So he runs.
Runs so he doesn't have to see that James and Lily get back together, happy and oblivious. Lily's confused as to what happened to Regulus. Regulus who disappeared. Runs so he doesn't have to face Sirius, his disappointment and anger. Runs so Remus can't find him, his kind words and gentleness would make him unravel. Runs so none of his friends can follow. Barty and Evan search for a long time. But they never find him.
James is 18 when Regulus leaves. He's 17. Regulus dies the same year. Trying to make a difference. Regretting that he didn't earlier.
And as he lies on the cold hard ground of the island, Kreacher beside him, holding his stomach in pain from the liquid, but the Horcrux destroyed, he thinks. Of James. Of his smile. Of his laugh. Of his kisses. The way he lit up Regulus' world, because he was the sun to Regulus' sky, because Regulus needed James to be bright.
And he thinks. I'm sorry. He's left a note.
But he doesn't expect James to find it. Ever.
Regulus is 17 when he dies.
And he wishes that he had longer.
But even the brightest stars all fade.
