Astrology Observations (Mutable Rising Sign Edition)

Below are my observations based on personal encounters with people who are a/an xyz rising.

1. For those who have Gemini as their rising sign. I could definitely say that none of them are not fast learners. Somehow they always know what’s up about an information (not necessarily everything) but they just know some things and it just fascinates me that even the things they aren’t aware about, they still have something to say. One thing I adore about them is that they’re very aware of where they should stand and that’s why most of the time, I find them constantly passionate about one thing and before you know it that one little thing we thought of in the beginning could be something so big in the end, we just didn’t know it yet but gemini risings did. they’re just ahead of us in terms of information we don’t really see coming or something like that. I think that’s why people think of them more as calculative than strategic but either way, they’re really smart. On top of that, most of the gemini risings I know are surprisingly private. Despite them being out and about, they mostly protect themselves from the public because they know how things escalate from 0 to 100 so that’s why they have a certain circle around them to feel vulnerable or secure.

2. I only know one Virgo rising in my life and they have been my personal favorite. From the get go, I knew we’d be able to click. We are not close or less than what best friends are but somehow where we are in between is perfect. We are just so chill and it’s mostly because of how that friend tries to make the environment around her grounded and principled. Though it can be quite intimidating or uncomfortable for some but it’s honestly cool. The stereotype about them being clean freaks or having ocds is debatable because I think most of them are just misunderstood. There certainly are things we have to organize—whether that could mean inside our outside. For this friend, when things inside her head are messy, she tries to get a hold of it by noticing her environment and taking control of it through cleaning. That way, it helps her not collapse the world inside her head. I think this behavior is pretty relatable to some even if they’re not virgo risings but that’s just basically how I relate her to the stereotype but with a bit of context. On top of that, she’s really great at giving advice. She’s someone you’d want to approach when you want a logical or practical answer but do prepare yourself for some critical response as she can get really personal given that she’s observant. But that’s why I love her lol.

3. There’s only one Sagittarius rising I know in my life who’s now I have not talked to in quite a long time. But anyway, when I first saw them my impression was quite comparable to when I got to know them. They’re honest, bubbly, and adventurous. They’re also an ambivert. Before we became friends, they were an open book but be wary that they can be playful about some things. They say the most unbelievable stories yet get people to still listen to them lol. I think it’s because their fun and bubbly side just takes over how they interact to others. If you want them to be serious, they can be but it would be 10x better. And what I mean by that is they’ll be brutal with you, whether or not, you are close to them. Their transparency needs some work though because not all of the time their true intentions successfully gets across so they can sometimes have people bad-mouthing them. Despite that, they just continue their day like they just didn’t offend someone haha. Either they’re really just real people or tone deaf, but they can be both. I’m not generalizing this for anyone who has this as their rising. This is purely based on my personal experience.

4. Lastly, Pisces risings. There are in total of 3 pisces ascendants I know in my life but aren’t that much close with so most of the things that I will say can be offensive and may prompt people to think I’m assuming that every pisces are like this but let me just remind everyone again that these are my personal observations; they’re written based on my perspectives. Anyway, this person 1 stood out most to me in life because we had this silent bad blood against one another and for some reason, they did not like me. When I first saw them, they looked very approachable and gentle but days has passed, their attitude and behavior came through far differently from what I had expected. But when we interact, they somehow show a two faced personality and it was odd because I seriously did not even do anything to provoke them. About their appearance, this person had a curly hair and sparkling eyes. They were conventionally attractive. And for Person 2, they were the same but without the bad blood thing. They were surprisingly another person when I got to know them more. They were quirky but can be really deep at the same time. They always seem to look tired too even if they got an enough amount of sleep. In terms of their beauty, their eyes were mostly mesmerizing and their hair looked as if it’s just meant to slay whatever they do. For Person 3, I got close to this person but we aren’t talking anymore because we lost contact. Anyway about them, they were very chill and friendly. They’ll always have your back but do be careful of breaking their promises because they’ll stab you back harder. It’s like when you go low, they go lower—simply because they can. They had a lot of people either wanting them or disliking them. Either way, they’re just surrounded by a bunch of people they don’t even like lol but they few best friends who they consider genuine and when they really like you as a friend, they’ll start caring for you whether it would be through her own love language or yours, just so you’d feel loved in general.

My School President Ep 5 Stray Thoughts

I'm so glad to be back with this show. Thankfully we took a break at what felt like the end of an act. I'm still not over the pinky clasp from the last episode, and am very excited to see where the acknowledged attraction takes these boys next. Also, I really like Sound as a character, and hope he causes more complications.

I like this opening scene. It's very stylish. Placing all of the students in the same framing reinforces the common experience for all of the characters. It's easy to see how a counselor ends up feeling this way, when you watch so many students' lives take a different turn.

Poor Gun. He was having a lot of fun with his friends and staring into the middle distance, but now he has to accept that maybe they're not as committed to music as him.

I'm still floored by the opening song being a torch passed down to this club about how they have each other's backs. It's still affecting me this week.

It's a bit subtle, but I like the way Gemini is playing Tinn as more relaxed about approaching Gun now. Fourth does a good job responding so quickly to it as if it's a matter of fact now. They're a solid pair.

META // ASTROLOGICAL BIRTH CHART ANALYSIS

Important Note: I follow traditional astrology rather than modern astrology. I stick to traditional planetary rulers for the signs and use whole sign houses (i.e., the sign that contains the ascendant degree is the first house, and each sign following that is assigned to the following house.) I also do not follow the 12 Letter Alphabet system which essentially makes Planet=Sign=House, and I could write an entire thesis about why, but this is a post about Kiryu not my beef with specific astrology techniques. I’ll just say how I’m interpreting this is much different from how another astrologer might interpret it. Also I’m not going to interpret every single placement and aspect because this is going to be long already, so I’m just going to focus on things that may help to explain my characterization of him.

Disclaimer: We know that Kiryu was born 17 Jun 1968. Because we don’t have a specific birth time for him (as far as I know) I picked one for him that resulted in a chart that I believe is overall pretty fitting. The birth time affects rising/ascendant sign as well as where the houses of the horoscope (the circle chart below) fall. I had like 3 different ascendant signs I thought fit him equally well and ended up going with this one, but I can definitely see a case being made for a different birth time.

Now let’s get astrologying.

The Ascendant

Scorpio: Fixed Water, Ruled by Mars, Detriment of Venus Ascendant: The degree of the zodiac wheel on the horizon at the time of birth. This is the most personal placement and it along with its ruler represent the person themselves. Where the ascendant is determines the first house of the chart which is the house of self.

The best way to describe any Scorpio placement is intense. There is a strong energy with this placement that draws people in as much as it intimidates them. A notable physical trait for a Scorpio Ascendant would be a particularly penetrating gaze but they are as charming as they are intimidating. There’s also an undeniable sex appeal about them.

This being a fixed sign, there is an intense steadfast nature. In general, fixed rising people are loyal at their core, if stubborn at times. Scorpio Risings would in most situations come off as fairly calm even if internally they’re anything but.

Scorpio is a heavily misunderstood sign. With this on the Ascendant, the person themselves may feel misunderstood by others or may even struggle to understand themselves. Despite being deeply emotional, they are also extremely private, especially with matters involving their emotional world. They may end up burying their emotions so far down that even they struggle to understand what they’re feeling. However, this is absolutely a case of the outside being quite deceiving. Being a water sign, Scorpio operates at an emotional level; it’s just that their emotional reaction is to keep things as under wraps as possible so no one else can use their emotions against them. And if they feel threatened, they will strike first so they don’t end up the one who gets hurt. This might make them appear cold from an outside perspective despite the fact that, in truth, they’re anything but that.

I think it's pretty self-explanatory for why I chose this for Kiryu. But if not, just know this is very much how I view him, which is that he someone with an insanely deep well of emotions, but he would fully prefer to deglove his own hand over ever showing an ounce of vulnerability about that.

The Sun

Gemini: Mutable Air, Ruled by Mercury, Detriment of Jupiter 8th House: Death, taboo, longevity, inheritance, other people’s belongings The Sun: The Sun represents a lot of things in traditional astrology but when trying to understand the person themselves (rather than, say, their relationship to the king of their nation or something) the most important is the mind. The Sun also represents the father so it’s sign, placement, and aspects can tell you about the person’s father and the relationship to him.

In regards to the Sun, “the mind” means the person’s philosophy towards life, not their individual thoughts (which are ruled by Mercury.) This philosophy may or may not match up with a person’s inherent tendencies (which are ruled by the Moon) but it tends to be that when this person feels internally like they are at their best self it would be when they’re embodying their sun.

Gemini being an air sign deals with information and communication as well as relationships between people. Being mutable, Gemini is more comfortable with change than not. Gemini wants to know everything about everything just for the sake of knowing it. Gemini also rules the arms/hands so Gemini placements tend to be people who are always fidgeting with things. Gemini can look at two sides of an argument and have trouble deciding which they agree with as both will end up seeming viable to them. They are students of life and particularly love learning through communicating with the people around them.

Before looking at the fact of the 8th House, I honestly think the entire Pocket Circuit nonsense in Y0 and YK1 are perfect examples of Kiryu being a Gemini. Like it’s a new thing for him to learn and figure out and build with his hands just for the hell of figuring it out and having fun with it. There’s no real goal for him with it beyond that.

With the Sun in the 8th, however, this Gemini propensity for curiosity will go towards 8th House subjects more often than not. For example, anything taboo will be highly interesting to this individual to at least learn about if not experience for themselves. I think this is pretty fitting for someone who joined the yakuza at 17.

With the 8th house being the house of death… many astrologers might say it means death like transformation, not death like permanent death. However, particularly with the Sun in the 8th House, that can be a signification of the father dying early in the person’s life. And that can be literal or figurative (i.e., maybe the father in question isn’t actually dead but he’s estranged or somehow otherwise so uninvolved that he may as well be dead.) We know that Kiryu was raised in the orphanage. This could also be a signification of the father or father figure being involved in business signified by the 8th House, and Kazama was the whole reason he wanted to join the yakuza in the first place.

Moon Square Sun - Squares are difficult aspects. They represent a challenge. With the Moon squaring the Sun, this is literally a case of the heart and the head wanting two different, incompatible things. What the person actually needs and what they want for themselves are not aligned.

Sun Sextile Jupiter, Sun Sextile Saturn - This combination stands out to me. Sextiles are positive aspects that are generally cooperative so the planets work well together. Jupiter is the planet of luck, abundance, expansion, and generosity. Saturn is the planet of boundaries, restrictions, time, and harsh lessons. Having the sun in aspect to both generally is a sign that the person can achieve great things if and ONLY if they put in the work to do so. This isn't someone who will fail their way up to success but basically the work they put in is pretty equal to what they get out of it.

Mercury, Venus, Mars

Alongside the sun, they are all also in Gemini in the 8th House. So basically everything about the sign and house still apply here but these planets differ in their meanings.

Importantly, because these planets are so close to the sun, they would all be considered combust. The Sun, being the brightest star in the sky, can outshine planets that are too close to it. If you're looking at the sky when a planet is too close to the sun, you can't see that planet. A planet being combust basically loses its power in some way or becomes hard for the person to control because, with the planet so close to the sun, it is a part of their ego in a way that they are blind to.

Mercury is the planet of thoughts, communication, speech patterns, etc. In Gemini, it is generally strong as it is in the sign of its rulership, however because its combust it can become problematic. There's a difficulty to make decisions because they don't know what they actually want. They may say one thing but then do the opposite. They'll turn down the invitation to your party and show up anyway or vice versa. This isn't them being dishonest or flaky on purpose so much as they obsess so much about making the wrong or right choice that they can convince themselves of both options being both right and wrong.

Venus is the planet of love and romance, sensuality, femininity, beauty, art, and finances. Gemini Venuses already have a bit of a mish-mashed sense of aesthetic taste and their outfits stand out as being quirky. Add Venus being combust to that and you get Kiryu buying the suit that Nishiki made him try on as a prank.

Romantically, Gemini Venus has a reputation for getting bored fast. This is because regardless of whether a Gemini Venus is attracted to someone physically, if they don't feel mentally stimulated by the person then any spark just won't last. They need a mental challenge and a mental connection. Either their partner needs to be a puzzle for them to hopefully never fully solve or be willing to find puzzles to solve together as a couple, otherwise they're going to find that elsewhere. In the 8th house, Venus can go one of two ways, and given that Kiryu's is combust it probably is the less… socially acceptable way. Here, Venus has a tendency to be attracted to things it shouldn't be (by societal standards) and an appreciation for secrecy and mystery. Also, they are probably kinky af and will try anything at least once. With Venus combust, romance may not be a main focus of the person's life due to other circumstances continually coming up and overshadowing it. Usually these would be Sun-related, so being married to your work even if your work is being a yakuza might get in the way of finding love. That's just a random example which may or may not be relevant to Kiryu.

Moon Square Venus - This is especially important in relationships because the Moon represents the emotional life, what a person needs to feel nurtured, and their instincts. These two planets challenging each other implies, to me, a lack of emotional fulfilment from romantic relationships due to Kiryu's own lack of ability to be truly emotionally vulnerable. Since I am writing Kiryu as bi, I do want to note Venus and the Moon are both planets that signify feminine energy, so this may be especially true of relationships with women moreso than men.

Venus Square Pluto - Pluto is the planet that represents the underworld. Normally this is an aspect that manifests pretty non-literally and is very toxic within the dynamic of the people in the relationship themselves. Kiryu is by no means perfect, but I honestly cannot see him being so possessive and emotionally tyrannical that someone involved with him felt like a figurative hostage, if anything he's probably too hands off due to the everything else going on with him. Therefore, I'm going to say that for Kiryu, this takes on a far more literal meaning than it does in an average person's chart. After all, anyone remotely romantically involved with him would be involved in the criminal underworld of Japan either because they already were or because being connected to Kiryu means they inevitably will be. Also the Pluto connection to death and the 8th house connection to death and the fate of one of his canonical romantic interests feels… far too on the nose but astrology is scarily literal like that sometimes.

Mars is the planet of war, anger, conflict, sexuality, and masculinity. It also has a lot to do with physicality such as what type of workout routine a person likes. Firstly, because I already have written too damn much, for insight on sexuality just reread everything already said about Venus and romance but replace romantic/romance with sexual/sex. In Gemini, Mars (like the other planets) has difficulty with choice. A person may be driven to do too many things at once and can’t really focus on trying to achieve one goal at a time either because they don’t know which they want more or because something external prevents them from picking one over the other. Mars in Gemini will also feel compelled to constantly be doing something just for the sake of being active which can lead to a lot of energy spent spinning wheels and going nowhere fast. Mars combust can be lazy and averse to conflict, but in my opinion, equally ineffective is a Mars that doesn’t know how to pick its battles (i.e., solves every problem with a brawl.) Sometimes, you have to find a way around or over a brick wall because continually running into it will just give you a concussion. Mars combust might not have that figured out. Kiryu sure as hell doesn’t and it's kind of a miracle if he doesn't have CTE.

The Moon

Pisces: Mutable Water, Ruled by Jupiter, Detriment & Fall of Mercury 5th House: Pleasure, leisure, hobbies, children, good fortune, honor, generosity, friendship The Moon: In traditional astrology the Moon rules not only emotions, instincts, and needs but also the physical body. The moon can often represent a mother, mother figure, or more generally, the nurturing feminine energies one encounters in life. Thus, an afflicted moon can signify a lack of a nurturing presence during childhood.

Kiryu’s Moon is, in my opinion, the most fascinating placement in his chart. Pisces Moons come in a lot of different flavors. I’ve known multiple and when it comes to the way they display their emotions it really runs the gamut from highly sensitive will cry at the slightest inconvenience to keeping their emotions to themselves almost entirely and you only know they felt anything at all way later when they bring it up after working through it all internally first. The commonalities between people with this placement are more internal. With the Moon in the mutable water sign this implies a constantly evolving emotional landscape. Pisces is ruled by Jupiter, a benefic, so in general this doesn’t mean emotionally being on a sailboat in a hurricane unless other things in the chart imply that. It’s just that everything becomes an experience affecting the direction of their emotional current and they aren't always in control of that.

Pisces absorbs as much as it reflects. When you’re in the water there is no solid barriers. So Pisces Moons are empathetic in the truest sense of the word. They feel what the people around them feel. They feel what the characters in the books they’re reading feel. And, often, they cannot separate their own emotions from these other emotions. So it can be hard for them to articulate their feelings, because which of the things that they’re feeling belong to them? Because of this they often don’t always know in the moment, so they may only figure out which feelings are their own feelings in hindsight.

With the Moon in a Jupiter-ruled sign, to me this is a huge example of Kiryu’s ability to put other people’s needs before his own (sometimes without their input, sure, but y’know.) Jupiter is a very generous planet. Like this and children being represented by the 5th house? Him running an orphanage makes almost too much sense.

Moon Square Mercury - indicates that there is a choice that has to be made between what one thinks is best and what one feels is best. This can also perhaps indicate an inability to communicate in a way that accurately expresses one’s emotions. Like even if the person tries to communicate their feelings it doesn’t verbally translate in a way that paints an accurate picture of the emotions they’re feeling, which can in turn lead to further internal and external conflict.

Moon Square Mars - indicates an inability to control ones emotions and particularly anger, or the person may come off as angry when internally the emotion they’re experiencing is entirely different.

Moon Opposite Pluto - almost always an indicator of major trauma, especially trauma experienced in childhood. With the Moon this is often a mother wound and Pluto being the underworld and death could just signify the trauma was his mother dying. In the case of Kiryu, given that he was raised in the orphanage, this indicates to me that no one ever really filled that role for him. There is a power struggle between himself and his own emotional needs because he was never emotionally nurtured by the adults around him so he never learned how to deal with his emotions in a healthy way. In Kiryu’s case this is perhaps the core reason why he simply buries his emotions and doesn’t acknowledge them.

Moon Opposite Uranus - a struggle between the need for change and independence and the need to be nurtured. This can lead to conflict, particularly with loved ones. In particular, the Moon opposite Uranus person will make radical decisions that have major consequences seemingly out of nowhere and without input from those close to them even when the decisions affect others. There is a tendency to feel alienated from others and as if they don’t really fully belong anywhere. Ironically, almost the only way to keep someone with this aspect close is to hold them at an emotional arms’ length.

Conclusion

Kiryu is a man of many contradictions and even more Gemini placements. At his core, he has a bleeding heart, and that’s true particularly for those closest to him. He is, in fact, nearly incapable of expressing this verbally or in a way that would make sense to normal people in large part because he doesn’t quite fully understand what he’s feeling himself, but that doesn’t mean he’s not feeling it.

You pushed the door open and funeral music blasted you. It seemed quite loud. The pews were full of people facing a preacher in the front who seemed to be holding a Bible and talking. Soon your eyes met the man in the front who happened to be kneeling in front of the casket. He wore a black suit, brunette hair slicked back and obvious sideburns. Something felt familiar about him though you couldn't quite put your finger on it. A blush of embarrassment lit up your face as you mumbled an apology and quickly stepped out, closing the door behind you. 'Seriously?! A fucking funeral?! Just my luck!' You ran your fingers through your hair and started to head down the concrete steps.

You didn't make it far before the door opened and closed, making you turn around and look. The man had started down the steps and pulled a box of cigarettes out of his inner jacket pocket. He lit it and quickly took a drag. "Sorry for walking in. I wasn't trying to be rude. Just got back here and-" The man seemed to be eyeing you. "Just got back here? You been here before?" He seemed curious, a Southern twang obvious in his voice. An undoubtedly charming feature. You weren't surprised. Even when the Sugar Mill was in full swing the town was simply a blip on the map. Now, still seeming small, it would be even less known.

"Yeah, used to live here when I was young. Always wanted to come back and see what ever happened with the town. Doesn't seem like its changed much." You couldn't help the smile tugging at your lips from the nostalgic memories. "Were you looking for anybody in particular?" You chewed on your lip momentarily at the question. "Well I came back to see if my childhood best friends were still here. They were twins. Bo and Vincent Sinclair." He froze though you were too busy observing the town to notice. He held back a smirk before continuing. "Oh yeah? Well what might be your name darlin'?" He was definitely turning the charm up between his dazzling smile and accent. "Y/N L/N. Born and raised mostly in Ambrose."

Bo froze completely, his cigarette nearly falling from between his fingers. "Y/N?" You turned to look at him from the change in his tone and he seemed almost shocked. Then it clicked. He did look an awful lot like Bo. Same hair color, bit deeper voice but quite similar, overall similar but more adult features. "Bo?" A sudden grin broke over your lips as you ran up, jumping into his arms and hugging him. He dropped the cigarette in order to catch you and hugged you tightly back. He soon pulled away, holding you by your shoulders and looking you over. "My, my, you look amazin' darlin'." His voice seemed genuine.

"You don't look too bad yourself, Sinclair." You teased playfully before hugging him again. "Where's Vincent? Is Lester here too?" You couldn't help all the questions you wanted answered. You hoped that they all still lived here. If Bo was still here it was at least a good sign. "Well Lester lives out on the outskirts of town now and Vincent is likely in the museum. He tends to hide and work in there a lot." It didn't surprise you. In that aspect Vincent hadn't changed. He had always been artistic. "Can we go visit them?" You asked and Bo nodded. You were unable to see the bit of jealousy in his eyes. You had just gotten into town and you already wanted to see them? He hid the emotions behind his smile and started heading towards the House of Wax. "Oh! Who's funeral were you at?" You asked. You didn't want to seem rude. "Just some old lady who moved into town after you left. You wouldn't have known her." It was different from his usual act but saying that would create less questions. If he had mentioned it was his mother you likely would have asked why Vincent and Lester didn't attend and it would create more trouble than it was worth. You hummed and nodded.

"So what have y'all been up to while I was gone?" You asked, wanting to catch up. "Lots. Don't really have the time to explain it right now. Maybe later." It was a long story. He'd have to figure out how the hell he could weave in the fact that the wax figures were hiding something more sinister then just wax beneath them. It would come up eventually. After some time you would begin to notice the oddities of the town. The cars never moved, the Sinclairs really being the only ones you interact with. You had just gotten into town, he didn't want to scare you right back off.

You simply nodded. You'd have lots of time to catch up. You had a hell of a story yourself. It would take longer than a day for Kyle to find you. At least you hoped so. It took a good time of driving to even get back to the town and you had a general idea of where to go. You had luckily never disclosed the exact state to him, only ever saying it was in the south. You two entered the House of Wax and Bo led you through the museum. You enjoyed the place despite the thick layer of dust that gave the place the feel that it never attracted tourists.

"Stay 'ere. I'll go get 'im." Bo headed into another room and vanished leaving you to look around. It wasn't long before Bo was back in the room, heavy footsteps following him before a large figure emerged. He was tall like Bo, had long hair, a mask, sweater, apron, and jeans. "Y/N, Vincent. I believe you've met before."

🧿Based off of people I’ve met, air risings aren’t as friendly and bubbly as you’d think they’d be when you first meet them. Even their vibe seems nervous and closed off at first; standing with arms crossed, shoulders inward, I dont know just sort of shy. Once they open up a bit more then their weird side comes out and they become more goofy and carefree. I think air signs of all placements struggle deeply with anxiety even though they are often portrayed as outgoing and quirky, which they are but a thin viel covers it. 🧿I’ve seen this before and imo it’s true! Signs in the 8th house rule addictions... I saw someone post that having a water sign in the 8th house could indicate addictions to liquid, more specifically; caffeine and alcohol. Being addicted to something is in other words creating a bond with it- water signs are naturally bonded with liquid so it makes sense that their prone to being addicted to them. Water signs occupying the 8th house might always drink water or have water with them. Since the 8th house also rules finances to an extent, most of their money might go to coffee, drinks, beach vacations etc. For fire signs over the 8th house, they could be addicted and/or spend a lot of money on smoking, spicy foods, or anything that gives them a rush; rollercoasters, haunted houses, skydiving or even drugs like esctacy/cocaine... anything that gives them that thrill or lights a match in their stomach. Earth signs in the 8th house may be addicted to physical things; money, work, food, looks,... things that give them value or that call on their senses and ego. They could hoard/collect items such as coins, cars, beauty products, etc., or generational items passed down... due to bonding with things that they can bulid/see/show off overtime. They are very attached to the physical because as an earth sign it feeds their ego and value, like a tree growing in soil. Money could mostly go to eating, gambling, plastic surgery, materialistic stuff. They could be addicted to buying things and selling them for a higher price. Air signs occupying the 8th house could point to spending a lot of money on or being addicted to technology or all things ‘relevant’. These individuals might be addicted to their phones/social media and the attention they get from it. These people are always posting stories throughout the day or online shopping or even just browsing different apps. They’re addicted to getting information via books, the internet, and through talking to other people... oftentimes these individuals are very good at making money through the internet (depending on other placements ofc). They may spend a lot of money on books, new gadgets, music, tattoos and puzzles. These people are addicted to all things new! They have a thirst for knowledge and experiences and will seek it out effectively. 🧿When I look at a person’s birth chart, whatever gender, I especially pay close attention to their Mars sign and house. To me, Mars represents the overall energy and vibe a person gives off and the house placement is where it’s most naturally acted out. For example ; Aries Mars in the 6th house. Aries Mars person would give off a hyper, motivated, impulsive energy. Physically this could manifest as shaking their leg while sitting, quick movements,standing/walking instead of sitting down, gives off a more to the point and carefree attitude (keep in mind all of this is affected by many other aspects and placements in a chart). Being in the 6th house, ruling day to day routine, health, how we act at work, etc., this means that the Aries Mars characteristics are more prominent during work and day to day rituals (quicker to learn, effectively performing daily tasks, gets shit done, or they could get into arguments at work easily, constantly rush around, might be stubborn about seeing a doctor/health professional, might be more prone to getting headaches at work or in general) again, depending on the rest of the chart

i first thought of him because he's a capricorn with a taurus moon, so he creates a direct opposition from your moon to his own but also from his sun to your own. and with that, his sun sextiles your moon while his moon sextiles your sun! all of this means you're different yet similar enough, you balance each other and, although there's a harmony, you are also meant to learn from each other. both your venus signs form a trine, meaning there's a love language understanding.

even though, if his sun is in Sagittarius, this would mean there's an inconjunction, which tends to be a more of a challenging element, if his sun is in scorpio it'd be conjunct your moon and trine your sun - just like his venus and mercury. there's an honest understanding of each other, same values and, most likely, similar point of views. his moon and mars would do create an inconjunction with your sun, which is a challenging aspect as we said before, and would be opposite your own mars and mercury, that doesn't have to be challenging as it can just create a balance and healthy differences, but with mars opposite mercury there can be an important difference in opinions that can lead to fights if not handled well. at the same time, then, your venus would trine both his moon and mars, creating a harmony of what's needed or even expected in the emotional aspect.

this one is also a leo rising, so the house placement we talked with kun would apply here as well. this time, though, we have a conjunction from his sun, venus and mars with your own venus on your 11h - not only this would feel like your two are best friends, but you two can create a connection without trying to. these aspects also form a sextile with your mars and mercury, so there's the "different enough" for this to work but similar enough for you to click. also, his moon would conjunct your mars and mercury; you can express and give him what he looks for emotionally and he meets your emotional expectations. his mercury also conjuncts your sun, meaning there's a match in your povs and values.

Oh this is an amazing question actually and a pretty common thing I see!! I'm so so happy to have a chance to explain! This answer has a lot of different answers within it, hopefully this all makes sense, but let me know if you need any other clarification!!!

First, you didn’t do/calculate anything wrong! This is something called a duplication/interception (I will explain these below), which happens pretty often when charts are drawn using the Placidus house system (the default house system most websites use to draw up your chart for you). It will be more helpful for me to quickly touch on house systems before going into interceptions/duplications!

HOUSE SYSTEMS:

If you aren’t super familiar, the house systems are the different ways of dividing up the houses. There’s SO many different house systems, but the three most popular/common tend to be Placidus, Equal & Whole (Whole Sign house system is especially common among traditional astrologers). I’ve seen the Koch system used a lot as well but I honestly don’t have immense experience testing it out, and it’s not as popular as the other three from what I’ve seen.

There’s not an agreed upon best house system! Everyone has different opinions. My biggest recommendation is to look at your chart in Placidus, Equal and Whole (more info below on how to do this). Your whole chart will probably stay almost the same, except you’ll notice some planets likely change houses. Make note of the differences between the three charts, Google the meanings, and stick with the house system that has placements you resonate more with! Ie: If your Placidus chart has Venus in 4th, but your Equal & Whole have it in 3rd, but you relate way more to a 4th house Venus, you might prefer the Placidus system.

Personally, I nearly always use Placidus. I relate most to my Placidus chart, almost everyone I’ve read for relates more to theirs. I also find value in interceptions/duplications (among Placidus/Equal/Whole, interceptions are only possible in Placidus). But this is just my opinion! Lots of astrologers would entirely disagree with me, so it’s really up to you which to use ☺️

Here’s an example of a chart in the three different systems. You’ll notice Placidus is the only one with interceptions/duplications:

In Placidus, houses can be of any size. In Equal house system, houses are always exactly thirty degrees, and start from the degree of the Ascendant (in this chart, the first house starts at the Ascendant of 24 degrees Libra, so the second house starts in 24 degrees Scorpio, third house in 24 degree Sagittarius, and so forth). In Whole Signs house system, the houses always span the exact thirty degrees of every sign, right from beginning to end.

HOW TO TRY USING DIFFERENT HOUSE SYSTEMS:

Go to astro.com, make an account and enter your birth information 

Hover over free horoscopes, click extended chart selection

Click “options for zodiac and houses”, select the different house system you want from the drop down menu (Placidus/default are the same thing, for Whole Signs don’t click the one that says Aries & for Equal don’t select the one that says Midheaven, just choose the regular Equal)

Hit click here to show chart, and you’re all done!

DUPLICATIONS/INTERCEPTIONS:

So, you decide to stick with Placidus, which leads us to what the hell duplications & interceptions are! Every time you have duplications, you’ll have interceptions; and vice versa. You’ll always have two signs & four houses duplicated, and then two houses + two signs intercepted. Let’s take a look at a chart I made up above with interceptions & duplications:

So, the pink highlights are duplications whereas the purple highlight is showing the interceptions (sorry it might be difficult to see/you may need to open in new tab - just right click image open in new tab). Duplications are when two houses are in the same sign. Interceptions are when a sign is “swallowed” by houses aka no houses are in that sign. Normally, a chart should have one house in each of the twelve signs, no more and no less.

In short, duplicated signs hold more power in the chart as they govern two areas of life instead of one. Intercepted signs are blocked as they govern “no area of life” (in theory). Any planets in intercepted signs/houses are considered intercepted planets. In this chart, we can see Capricorn, Cancer, Mercury, Sun, 3rd house & 9th house are intercepted. Opposite signs & houses are ALWAYS intercepted and duplicated together, never alone. On the other hand, Libra, Aries, 1st, 6th, 7th, & 12th houses, and Moon, Pluto are duplicated.

As I said before, interceptions are blockages. We have issues accessing and expressing these energies. According to an astrologer whose site I enjoy (bobmarkastrologer), interceptions also break the balanced link between opposite signs. Normally opposite signs work together to balance one another in your chart, but with interceptions, they’re unable too. He gives a Pisces/Virgo example in the link I attached that’s super helpful (especially for you, since you should have Pisces/Virgo intercepted)! He also explains interception and duplication pairs. For this person, having 3rd/9th/Mercury intercepted; all communication houses/planets, they’re likely going to have huge issues with clear, concise communication. They may often feel like they can’t properly express their emotions and ideas, or people frequently misunderstand them and take what they say the wrong way. Additionally, they may have a lot of travel troubles (ie: whenever they take the bus it’s late, when they go overseas their flight is always delayed/they miss their flights, etc), as well as issues in school (teachers don’t like them, they feel unfairly graded, they struggle with typical school structures, etc).

Duplications on the other hand, give us that excess energy; these are our strengths. These energies come naturally to us and can be used to our advantage. A common theory is that duplications help us balance out and work through our interceptions. They kind of makeup for that blocked energy interceptions have. So they key to working through your intercepted signs would be looking at your duplicated signs. In the chart I showed above, for example, Moon/Pluto are duplicated. Specifically in the 12th house. Nene sat on the floor, her knees pulled to her chest. Staring blankly ahead. Soft piano flowed through her headphones, her poor attempt at blocking the rain out. Glancing over, Amane stood, hard at work, cooking what he managed to find in the cabinets.

Amane stood towering over her, blood on his hands from the knife she used. His amber eyes wide, filled with fear-

Out of the corner of her eye, she notices movement. She turned her head to see Hanako was holding a bowl up, Nene blinked, watching him move with it, picking up another one. He made his way to her.

‘Ah, has that much time passed already?’

Sliding her headphones off she smiled widely at him,

“Dinner already?” She awed at him, watching his eyes averted from her, a sweet smile forming on his pale face.

“Yup! It’s time to eat, Mokke!”

Nene pushed herself up onto the couch she was against. A delightful hum as she eagerly grabbed the bowl. It was chicken curry and rice. It was a comfort food for the two of them.

She stared down into the bowl. The night after she committed the sin, Amane’s mother blissfully unaware of it, made Amane and her curry and rice “to make them feel better”

“Mokke” Nene’s head perked up to look at him. He has a worried smile on his face, concern swirling in his eyes. Nene felt her lips curl into a smile automatically, trying to ease his worry.

“It looks really good! Thank you for the meal Hanako!” She giggled while taking a big bite of the food.

Hanako studies her for a second as if picking apart her actions before settling with a nod of his head, sitting beside her.

He doesn’t like sitting, it leaves him vulnerable. Nene told him he’s fine to do what makes him most comfortable. But in the end, he knows that sitting beside her gives her ease.

“How was work?” He asks, taking a small bite of his food, seemingly watching her eat her fill.

Nene nodded, swallowing, “it was okay,” inhale, “I wrote about the start of Gemini season,”

Hanako hummed, “The zodiac personality stuff?”

Puffing her cheeks out she nods, “There is way more to it than just” she pauses, exhale, “‘Personality stuff’, Hanako”

“You should know, space nerd,” Nene added, giggling.

Hanako narrows his eyes, smirking at her at the nickname, “I know astronomy, not that astrology stuff, Mokke.”

Nene snickered, taking another bite of food, only a few more bites to savor.

“A Pisces, I know, you’ve told me this many times” She huffed at him with a smile,

His cheeks become rosy, he looked away from her, towards the kitchen. The tips of his ears were red as well.  

Whenever love was brought up he was so easy to fluster. Hanako is able to dish it the flirtatious behavior but cannot receive it.

“You’ve said that.” his voice was small.

Nene giggles, reaching out and tapping his arm, “I know I have, I’m just teasing, Ha-na-ko,”

“Yare, yare, Mokke” Hanako exclaimed with a shake of his head and his usual smile.

“You tease me too much to act like that” Nene chided, grinning widely at him.

Hanako rolls his eyes, taking the now-empty bowl from her hands.

“I’m going to wash these,” He states as he’s heading to the kitchen.

Nene watches him intently, her smile falling. It was tiring to keep up a smile with him. Why he was still here with Nene is beyond her.

How could he still want to be with me after I… After he saw what I did.

"I know that already, just explain to me what the-” Stammering he threw his hands out towards the still-warm body, “Fuck you did?”

She tilted her head to look at the dark TV screen. Her eyes were blank. mokke’s mask. Hiding her emotions.

Nene sat on the ground, watching the still body. Looking, searching for any signs of movement. The bathroom door opened slightly making her head jut up to the door, frozen. Caught red-handed.

Mokke grabbed the remote sitting on the table, switching the TV on, the static cut through the air. She listened to it, moving her gaze to the open blinds, watching the rain pelt against the glass.

“Yashiro?” Amane’s voice called out from behind the door, “Are you in here? I’ve been looking everywhere for you,”

Nene rips her gaze from the window back to the tv and starts to search for a channel.

Static. Click.

Static. Click.

A soft murmuring of some tragedy. Click.

A rerun of some comedy show that was popular in the 90s.

Nene does her best to focus on the awful dialogue that the characters on the show said.

‘The writing they did for this show is complete garbage,’ She bitterly thought, analyzing the show.

Nene loves to write and loves to consume other people's writing.

Kou wrote, his writing blunt, lacking any underlying meanings, no symbolism, very to the point, and obvious. His articles reflected how he viewed the world. Bias, full of passion.

Nene thought back then, Kou, her underclassmen, hated writing. His scores were always poor. She wonders if she’s the reason for his newfound interest in writing.

With how much the characters bickered and argued, this was supposed to represent friendship? How did people find arguing fun? Sure maybe in a drama about romance, but stupid stuff like this?

The two characters were arguing in a kitchen.

Nene’s eyes catch the kitchen knife sitting in the background.

She took a deep breath, a gasp of air, her lungs felt constricted. Nene wondered briefly if she said nothing he would leave.

“I'm coming in,”

Her body seized up,

This was the public girls’ bathroom, why would he go through so much trouble to find her? He’s going to get into trouble.

He shouldn't have to see this-

He’s going to see-

God, there was so much blood.

A faint voice called her. Over the rain, the thoughts, Nene couldn’t understand.

She was too deep.

Amane pushed the door open further, her breath shallow, rushed, panicked.

His amber eyes were petrified as he saw it. His eyes darted from her to the body.

A sharp gasp, his throat catching his scream.

“Mokke?” Amane’s voice was soft, his hand on her forearm, pulling her from her head.

Mokke drew her head up to look at him. His free hand held her cheek, wiping her tears with his thumb.

Ruby eyes were glassy as she stared at him with remorse, her forehead creased.

She didn't want him to be brought down with her. But his selfishness. Her selfishness drags him down regardless.

She will never truly understand why he had helped.

Why did he help her get rid of the body? Of the evidence?

Nene inhaled. Held her breath, before slowly exhaling.

Was he already done washing dishes?

“What are you thinking about,” Hanako whispered to her, urging her to tell him.

Nene’s gaze looked to the TV, it had been shut off.

Did I turn it off? Looking to her hands, finding them empty, the remote on the table.

Did I ever turn it on?

A soft squeeze on her forearm pulled her attention back to him.

Amber eyes, the moon. Her moon. Clouded with pain, and sorrow.

His mouth moved, saying something, Nene couldn’t understand. She blinked at him. Trying to hear,

“...mokke...okay?”

Hanako was trying to see if she was okay… A murder.

Even after he saw the knife she plunged into that guy’s chest, he still wanted to see if she was okay?

“I-” her voice caught in her throat. Her eyebrows furrowed.

Hanako gave her a patient smile, squeezing her arm again.

Nodding dimly, she listens to his breathing,

“Fine…” her voice is small, weak, pathetic.

He tugs her face closer and leans his head against hers, remaining silent. Amane has always been too patient for her.

A shaky exhale.

“The night I…” her voice trails off, her eyes shifting from him, Hanako nods, understanding what day she was talking about immediately. “I didn’t want him to die.”

Amane wrapped his arm around her,

“I know,”

She sucked in sharply, whimpering. He only held her tighter.

“I hate the rainy season.”

A softer, “I know.”

He pulls away slightly, making Nene clutch onto him. Hanako stiffened a little bit, before relaxing, reaching for her headphones.

He put one in her ear, putting the other in his, and fumbled with her phone, turning the music back on.

They sat there, holding onto each other listening to the soft piano.

Amane rubbed her back in a circular motion, doing his best to calm her down. He slowly rocked the two of them to the music.

Amane’s heart rate was faster than usual.

Inhale. Exhale.

He was trying to calm himself down. Was it her? Was he afraid of her? Could it be the rain?

Nene realized she let herself go too far again. She let herself get wrapped up in her head, she let Nene panic.

Listening to the music, she found her hands loosening their grip on Hanako,

Inhale...

Hold

Exhale…

“Let’s go to bed,” Nene spoke softly, tired.

Hanako helped her up, keeping his eyes trained on her, watching her every movement. The only noise was the piano coming through the earbuds and the pouring rain.

The rain was a distant sound.

It was safe in this home.

The rain wasn’t coming for them.

The rain was safe.

Did he ever feel safe in the rain?

Nene let Hanako guide her to their bed, let him undress her, and put her in warmer clothes, clothes that were comfortable to sleep in.

She laid on her side facing him, watching as he moved around shutting the blinds, moving to the living room, she rolled around to watch and tightly shut the blinds out next to the couch.

Hanako pauses at the window, staring out. The small reflection she saw of him, made her tense.

The fear in his eyes as he flinched at the sound of a particularly hard drop of water hits the glass. His eyes dart around, searching for something out there, in the dangerous world. His lips trembled.

Hanako grips the curtain and yanks it, his movements rigid, blocking the view to the streets below. He turns around, the pain locked back behind Hanako, back into Amane. His amber eyes looked worn, tired.

Inhale

She felt much better, more able to breathe as he walked back towards the room.

Hanako’s shoulders relax with every step towards her. He walks into the room shutting the door behind him.

Nene rolled back around, facing his side of the bed, and waited for him to climb back in.

Listening to the shuffling as he got undressed, Nene lets her eyes flutter closed.

He climbed in besides, unplugging the earbuds from her phone.

The phone speakers weren’t the best, but Hanako said it was bad to sleep with earbuds in. She listened to him plugging her phone into the charger before rolling to face her.

Hanako told her that it messes up your ears, he read about it online.

She moved her arm out and felt him hold her hand.

He was warm.

“Sleep well, Hanako,” Nene mumbled.

“Sleep well starlight,” Hanako echoed.

Exhale.

and so the years passed by , one , two , three , he still stood there by his parents’ side . a  fool living a life that wasn’t destined for him . however an unhappy man is set to fail at one point , and at the age of 23 bryson finally slipped , a drunk fit followed by a speech at his family’s charity event was what drew the line between him and his parents . the embarasment on their faces , followed by anger made them cut all ties with him . 

his plan finally succeeded , not as expected , but in a way he was finally free from his parents��� control . however , once free bryce was eager to try everything he had missed on , all the parties , all the freedom , everything forbidden from his parents . the once closed of boy had turned into a reckless man , he was a bomb , that had just exploded . the more he went out , the more the trust fund money would become less , to the point , where he needed to find something to bring some income .

amycus was born right before the arrival of his younger twin sister, alecto. the two being born into a family of wealth, loyalty, and class ( as one may see on the outside ). on the inside of the carrow family household, it was nothing but severe abuse that came in many different shapes. 

amycus truly has no respect for his parents for the way he and his sister were treated, but he always did his best as the ‘man’ of the household to take as many burdens as possible. he was well aware his future had a greater outcome than his twin sisters as she was set up on a pedestal for marriage. amycus knows alecto was made for so much more. 

while amycus doesn’t respect his parents for the way he was treated during his youth, they still hold his unwavering loyalty. he knows they are correct and received the dark mark to prove it. scars tw he often believes the scars left on his body by his father only helped him to become what he is today. while he resents it, he wouldn’t change it. end of tw

amycus is alecto’s number one fan. he’d do anything for her, and especially to protect her, but he was also well aware that she could handle herself – that’s why they worked so well as siblings. sharing emotional and physical trauma in their childhood would also be a factor in that.
