It's actually so heartbreaking that in the temperance ending Johnny just.. leaves. Gets all these calls, maybe even texts, from people who don't know the extent of what happened. Who are accusing him, that are mad at him. Especially in the frame of reference that this was V's last wish. That it was V who gave the body up. That it was V who wanted this, wanted to save Johnny, Johnny essentially powerless to stop them ('just scared for ya').

And the thing is.. Johnny just lets everyone. Lets them make their own conclusions, lets them be mad at him. Lets them blame him. Lets them think, that after the love of his life the person who's ever wholly understood or cared about him the most like no other ever could had 'died', that it's his fault, that he could do that to them... Or just lets them think the worst of V as their final lasting impression or mark on this world. Doesn't try to defend himself nor V. He just leaves. Just takes it.

And you would think. You would think the one he would at least tell is Kerry. That the one to actually understand the most would be Kerry. I don't think any of the other love interests could get the whole engram situation like him, they don't have that personal history or connection to the code on the relic like he did after all. Kerry knew Johnny. Enough at least. But Johnny doesn't tell him, and Kerry just thinks V ghosted off on him and Johnny just lets him think that. And it just makes you wonder.. why would Johnny do that? Why would he do any of this?

it's kind of funny that we're back at the start, as it was known from the very beginning, as the story always was, the old lore: "the Divine Gate was built in response to the destruction and suffering of the Calamity as the Prime Deities realized was far too much and, as such, they needed to also remove themselves from Exandria to protect it from the ruin that the gods dwelling here brings"

Feeling some type of way about Leo deciding Jason is the one who needs saving when Jason’s been the one saving people all his life.

The thing is, once they realize what the prophecy means, Jason decides if it’s him or Leo, it has to be him. He outright states this in his narration twice:

As much as Jason loved his life, he couldn’t let his friend die for his sake. He could never live with the guilt. ~ House of Hades

He knew the risks. But he wanted to take those risks himself, not put them on Leo. ~ Blood of Olympus

And the thing is, Leo knows this. Jason never tells him, but Leo still knows it. He doesn’t tell Jason and Piper his plan because he knows they’d never allow it. Because he knows Jason, stubborn hero leader that he was raised to be, would never let it be him.

Leo knows Jason would die for him and he will not allow it.

Thinking about how one of the first things Leo says when he manages to string words together after learning what happened to Jason in The Burning Maze is “He did what Jason always did. He saved the day.”

Time travel fix-it AU where everyone in the batfam came back from a dystopic future where the rest of the family died in some way so now they're back to try and fix it. Thing is each of them lived through different versions of the timeline and none of their catastrophes match. It would be really easy to figure out but they've decided to pretend nothing happened and act as if they're not from the future. They would also have noticed everyone else acting weird if they weren't so focused on hiding their own weirdness and dismissing the changes as "they must have been like that before and I don't remember".

It all ends with the Spider-Men pointing meme and the realization that they no longer know what's going to happen because they've changed it all without communicating so they don't know what the others did or if it undoes what they tried to prevent?

Now imagine if one of them wasn't from the future and was just watching it all develop in a 😐.

listened to jon ix agot aka jon's thwarted desertion while doing laundry today and had to walk away to go scream at this

mormont mocks jon for acting like his presence will make a difference in robb's campaign when he is one boy and any one of robb's bannermen commands larger forces the whole of the watch. obviously, he is right, which is why jon has no retort. it's childish to act like he as one person can do anything in this situation.

EXCEPT. it would make all the difference to robb. which is why robb literally tried to give up a hundred men even after his forces had been depleted to get jon released from the night's watch. because he needed his brother back.

jon definitely has some dreams of getting revenge on the battlefield and going out in a blaze of glory. his plan is not well-thought out at all. but by his own admission, he deserted first and foremost because "he was his father's son and robb's brother." his core instinct that his family needs him there is not wrong. he is absolutely and heartbreakingly correct that robb needs him, that he cannot do this without him. the tragedy is that it was too late, and there was no way for robb to get him back that wouldn't have ended in disaster.

For Yuu, Twisted Wonderland is a horror.

It’s not just about witnessing overblots, being targeted, or being far from home with no certainty of return.

What’s truly overlooked is the fact that no one will ever fully understand Yuu. Never completely. Never again.

The very fact that they’ve spent time in Twisted Wonderland has changed them. They’ve witnessed things no one from their world could ever dream of experiencing. They’ve been through things no one else from their world could possibly comprehend. It altered them both in terms of trauma and overall experience.

And then there’s Twisted Wonderland itself, a world unlike their own. No one there can truly relate to Yuu’s experiences, their origins, or their perspective.

Yuu will never be understood because Yuu has changed. Their journey between two vastly different worlds has left them in a place where no one can fully grasp what they’ve been through.

Yuu will always be an outsider, no matter which world they find themselves in. And perhaps there is nothing more terrifying than the loneliness they are doomed to carry, no matter the outcome.

I am just now realizing that Mariolore is pre-canon to the actual games' story, and we are rocketing towards a lot of things, like Peach becoming sole ruler of the mushroom kingdom...

Maybe I'll make a post on this at some point but like, something deeply fucked up about TNP and Po3 that people have totally forgotten about is how badly they try to whine that "Tigerstar Had Good Traits :("

Firestar does it, Brambleclaw does it, and they keep doing this after it becomes this GRAND irony that Firestar almost gets Tiger'd to death in a fox trap because he was too trusting. Bramble gets his pity award of keeping deputyship and then cries to his son about how No One Saw The Good In Tigerstar :(

And it's wiiiiild that no one else in this fandom has done anything with the fact that Leopardstar broke the Warrior Code to appoint Hawkfrost, who had no apprentice, an extremely aggressive and warmongering Tigerclone who says things like "Tigerstar wasn't the worst cat to look up to." ONLY qualifying trait was being kinda like Tigerstar.

And she practically did that the SECOND Mistyfoot went missing. And then Leopardstar continued to be one of the most violent and xenophobic leaders through Po3, joining with WindClan to attack ThunderClan.

What I'm getting at is that like, a few years ago, with books like "Blackfoot's Reckoning" and "Shadow in RiverClan" it's like they suddenly decided to retcon in a bunch of "redemption arcs" in hindsight. They just pretended like there was this grand high reckoning with TigerClan, when there literally wasn't, and if anything that caused SERIOUS problems for the cast that the authors didn't fully acknowledge as such.

And now ppl haven't actually read the main series and are just working with their recent memory of all these retcon books.

But TNP and PO3 are still there, and you can go and see the ACTUAL timeline where Leopardstar is really not apologetic at all, and Blackstar is a useful stooge for the very next wannabe dictator that strolls in, in spite of the new side content that COMPLETELY mischaracterized them for their plots to work.
