Assignment 2

At Starbucks, one of our values is that every store is a “third place” for customers and baristas. This value was adopted after the incident in Philadelphia where two black men were arrested after not ordering right away while they were waiting for an associate. The “third place” basically states that your store should feel like your thrid home and that everyone should feel welcomed there. Every couple of months we are required to attend “third place” training where we learn how to properly interact with customers. Training varies between talking about mental health to interacting with customers with disabilities. Corporate tries to make stores feel like a “third place” to customers by emphasizing “customer connections” to baristas. For my project, I looked at the way baristas behave and speak to customers when managements are at the store compared to when they are not.

To study this use of language and behavior I paid attention to my coworkers during 3 different shifts. The first shift our store manager was not working, the second shift our store manager was working, and for the third shift, our district manager and the store managers from our district were conducting an evaluation of our store. During these three different shifts, there was an obvious difference in how my coworkers and I acted with each other and with the customers.

Even though it was a Sunday morning during the after-church rush everyone was relatively relaxed during the first shift. There was no focus on our “customer connections” because our manager wasn’t there. Interactions were not personal, none of the baristas working were asking “customer connection” questions, and the baristas on the bar were not saying “good morning” to everyone who passed by. Everyone’s aprons were dirty and no one was wearing a name tag. Instead of calling the Sous Vide Egg Bites by their names we were calling the “eggy bois” and quoting Vines over the headsets. One of my coworkers stated that “customer connections” were awkward because neither person really wanted to chit chat.

During the second shift, our store manager was out on the floor working with us. There was a difference in the way people were interacting with each other and the customers. There was more emphasis on our “third place” training and “customer connections”. At the registers, baristas were asking for names consistently and engaging in small talk when there was an opportunity. We were also expected to use proper terminology like doppio, ristretto shot, long shot, french press, drip, pour-over, brewed, redeye, blackeye, bold roast, house roast, light roast, and the list goes on. No one is doing nothing. If there are no customers or drinks to be made then you are making backups, getting more syrup or milk, restocking, and wiping down counters. One of my coworkers said that they were going to interview for the new shift supervisor positioning opening-up and that is why they were following “third place” training.

During the last shift, our district manager and the managers of the stores in our area were conduction evaluations of each store. During this shift, everyone was in the dress code, wearing clean aprons and name tags. Before the managers arrived we quizzed each other on the proper terms for the customer support cycle and the properties of our currently brewed coffees. I was working the drive-through and I had to come up with a question of the day to create a customer connection. My question was “what is your favorite season?”. I asked my coworkers their thoughts about our situation. One said that she thought the exercise was pointless because we were all acting. Everyone working on the floor noticed the rise in anxiety and our change in attitude, but the customers noticed as well. One of our regulars came through the drive-through and with one of the managers standing behind me I asked my usual question in my high pitched “customer service voice”. He sounded confused when he said he just wanted his usual and pulled up to the window. When he got there and realized that I was the one taking his order he was shocked. He didn’t realize it was me because of the way I was talking and when I told him that our district manager was there he understood.

Strassler states that the genres of photography “guide people to see themselves and others in particular ways” (2010). I noticed throughout my observations that everyone perceived Starbucks differently, like different genres of photography. Management perceives Starbucks as a local cafe where the baristas know everyone and we have the time to stop and chat with everyone. My coworkers and I perceive Starbucks as a fast food place, where we only care about how fast we can work. These two different perceptions affect the ways we interact with customers and each other. This difference in perception was noticeable in the difference of language we used. According to Goodwin “Discursive practices are used by members of a profession to shape events in the domains subject to their professional scrutiny” (1994). My coworkers and I perceive our jobs as a fast-food job whereas our managers perceive it as an art which is why there is a change in language that is used. There is a difference in the perception of jobs, a cashier compared to a barista.

Ethnicity: Irish American ( was born in Ireland, But was Moved to America )

Country: United States

Residence: Mt. Ebott, The Underground.

Average hours of sleep: 3-4 Hrs ( Can't sleep much due to her vivid Memories / Nightmares )

Type of bed: Anywhere / Anything she can use as one ( Mostly the Inn )

Amount of blankets: 1-2 at Most, She Hates the Cold.

Amount of pillows: 3 ( Third Pillow she usually hugs to sleep )

Type of clothing: Doesn't have any other clothes besides the ones she currently wears, so those will do.

Do they sleep with company?: Not Entirely. She Mainly Sleeps alone due to being her only choice, but she definitely wouldn't mind some company from time to time.

Do they sleep with plushies?: No, she usually doesn’t. Mainly because she never had the need for a plushie when she had a sister.

Do they sleep better with company?: oh yes she does, mainly because having someone she knows very closely helps to keep the Nightmares at bay, giving her an actual goodnight sleep.

Does it matter where they sleep?: it really does depends on where she is within the underground. If she's somewhere around Waterfall or Hotlands, then she'll doze off anywhere. If it's in Snowdin, No Absolutely not.

Frequent dreams, nightmares?: Adeleine has Very Frequent Nightmares due to being a Captive Subject and Tortured in a Facility meant for Kids, as well as the horrid loss of her Sister. Dreams are mostly rare for Addy to come by, and are usually too good to be true.

What do they do if they cannot fall asleep?: Adeleine Would mainly just lie on the bed ( or wherever ) and began taking deep breaths, allowing that moment to pass before trying to sleep again. She usually does this when she wakes up again for the thrid time in a row, at which she just decides to stay up until her eyes give out.

Deep slumber or naps?: Most of the Time, They're just short naps. Because again, her mind doesn't really allow her to fully sleep well, another reason as to why she's alway a bit mean & Angry.

When do they wake up?: whenever her eyes decides on whether or not it was time to get up, which is usually after a few hours or so.

When do they sleep?: Whenever her eyes decides to get droopy after a long night of consent nightmares, and since time works differently in the underground, she can't really remember.

What could wake them up?: Nightmare Shocks or Calling her name out, nothing can make her jump up more than after a Nightmare. And if you call her name during her Nightmares mumbles, she'll panic.

LONG STORY SHORT

Sigh.... I don’t feel that good today

I mean I am happy i did a doodle for my friend and alll

but I feel so empty and all....

Lately I have been trying to improve on art and have seen I am not that sued to the pen

I will work on that .

I also am almost dying inside over and over again the lately since

no matter where I go to in my pc, I have something saved that connects to people I loved and well still do love but I feel so disgusted with myself still

I am currently still trying to improve on getting better but

some people were really supportive to me and I can’t be grateful enough for them on nagging me to get back to drawing

welll

as I stated before in many of my journals I have made I am still heart broken over a person

I am still trying to forget that person since all it does to me is... welll

I remember the good times and how supportive I was to it,

I recall how I spent so much of my time just being there for that person and tried my best to make them feel good and whenever they were down I was there for it

Right now I guess like my psychologist told me I am on a phase oh god saying this makes me actually cringe He told me I’d have serious problems with trusting people which is still true, I barely trust anyone anymore and barely allow anyone to really get close to me in any form of closure and avoid accepting anyone admiting they like me

I know it si stupid but.... if a person I truted for so damn long without question could break my heart, who else wouldn’t ?

so yeah, that is also the reason why I have avoided being actually social and posted so small things besides the big poems here and there.

Haven’t really taken the time to tell all i feel for real so decided to really roll my sleeves up and take the time .

I was in the USA a few weeks ago, I think 2 now? eeeeh doesn’t matter

I went there to basically do this

I wanted to really just give the biggest gift for the person that broke my heart which was me spending time with it irl

I know it is corny and all but it was something I had planned for a while and set the cogs in motion by just admitting my love to it

Hence the said person didn’t seem weirded out or angry at me for it, and the fact i admitted my love in voice if i recall right i tried be closer but not be to clingy and all.... heh Back then when i said the second time I had bought and paid the tickets and made the plan to be there for the 4th time i’d say i love you to it, Like face to face.

I wanted make it a sure the person was ok with me and

one day that person and I had a call and I admitted my love for the thrid time and everything went fine

I had the tickets paid, planned the car route to around its area and well....

I think by now you all know fact I enjoy doing erps/rps and all.

I used to rp with said person in all ways as I liked to so it was common for us just to waste time with it I guess, well spending time together wasnt a waste so that means it was time well spent? bleh, look at it with a pinch of salt i guess SOOOOO..... how to start with it then, we were talking here and there and started rping but mid of it the person wanted to see me shoot a l9oad, which even though it is supposed to be “private“ and a thing a person shouldn’t admit online what so ever

.w. I don’t really care at all, no shame about what i did

so several times I have taken a jack off and had the rps in mind so the person liked to see me squirm away a load for our rps

so the person wanted to see me make a mess thanks to the thing but

once i started getting all romantic and hinte out a sign of love

I guess that was around the time the person said we couldn’t be dirty onto one another and I was like

“Oh you aren’t in the mood?“

it took a bit before the person started saying he couldn’t anymore until it started saying for me to guess

... well.... I told this person time after time about my feelings about people using me and having a relationship.... and then come and just smutt rp away with me

and welll....

the person admitted it had someone in mind

for 3 months.... same 3 months I was planning the trip, the route, the everything really....

I was down right crushed, I didn’t know what to do, i just shut myself away from it, the following days I was nonstop sad and having near ep seizures. so I drugged myself with my meds to keep me safe, somehow I think it was either it or me who unblocked him and when i came to my senses the person was trying to befriend me .... it felt disgusting....

you know that feeling when your heart doesnt wanna admit the ruth but your mind clearly sees it.... knowing we did all those filthy things and it had a person in its mind

it felt so bad.... so yeah I was so sick of it i tried killing myself, i think i took around 5 pills of morphine I had left over from when I had a surgery and just slept

however I did wake up again and so, came the trip to the USA

it was really pleasant and i loved it all, I had to adjust the whole trip’s car route so i’d avoid the area where it lived but i did in fact pass by it and saw the person irl

heh.... you know how you’re so close and yet so frigging far?

that was the feeling i felt that moment, It was good we left the area as fast as we went there and went back to sweden .

I don’t think I am really ready to fully open up back to loving people or trusting them that much....

but hey, guess I will have to just try my best and all.

Today is the 20th birthday of the first HP book and somehow I spent the whole day writing fanfic and listening to the audio book. I remember how I got my first hp book pretty well (It was actually the thrid one, Prizoner of Azkaban, and my mom brought it to me in a small book shop during our holiday when I was six or seven. I had nothing to read and the lady owning the shop showed me the new popular series and I was hooked instantly, not caring that it was the third book. “Fine,” she muttered. “We can stay here a bit longer.” “Good,” Padma grinned in satisfaction. “But back to the topic: have you heard about the new antique bookstore that opened just around the corner?” Hermione shook her head.

“Rumours say, that it has the rarest of books, both wizard and muggle and that if they don’t have what you are looking for, they’ll look for it for you and get it within a month. It has been open for less than a month, but everybody says, that they’ve gotten their special orders already. Apparently, it usually takes less than three days!” Padma explained with excitement. “Do you understand what it means?” Hermione grinned back at her. “We might finally get our hands on Picatrix!”

Cho exchanged an amused look with Marcus, as she took a sip from her tea. Hermione and Padma were obsessed with the idea of getting their hands on Picatrix and talked about it on every occasion.

“I guess we are going to stop there before we make our way back?” Marcus asked.

“Oh, you don’t have to join us!” Padma replied.

“We do,” Marcus sighed. “Or you won’t come back to work for the next two days and I really don’t want to deal with that rubbish all by myself.” “And what am I? Decoration?” Cho rose an eyebrow and Hermione snorted. “Well, you could do the paperwork,” Marcus winked at her, earning himself a glare.

“Forget it, Flint. It’s your turn to do paperwork!”

Hermione stood up, supressing her laughter as good as she could. “We should leave now, if we want to get to the bookstore. Marcus is right after all, we all love our books.” “You mean Marcus and I love our books, you and Padma are obsessed with them,” Cho muttered, but stood up as well.

They paid for their meals and left the small cafe, chatting along the way to the bookstore. They stopped in front of a recently renovated Victorian building that had two shops on the ground level. A sign over one of them announced, that the store was called “Magical books” and Hermione rose an eyebrow.

“This is a muggle shop, isn’t it?” she asked.

“It is. And the owner of this shop has quite the sense of humour,” Marcus said, before pushing the door open.

They entered, and Hermione closed her eyes immediately, taking the smell of old and used books in. It was amazing, and she had to agree with the owner, that the books felt magical, even though she was clearly standing in the muggle part of the shop.

“Let’s go,” Padma pushed past her in an attempt to go to the magic section, dragging Cho with her.

“Go ahead,” Hermione told Marcus, who was waiting for her. “I want to look around here for a bit and will join you later. If you find what we are looking for, get me.” Marcus nodded and left without another word. He had had the pleasure to go shopping for books with the girls before and knew, that the one he had to worry about was Padma, even though Cho was with her. Sometimes one person wasn’t enough to restrain her.

Hermione wandered through the aisles, occassionally stopping to scan the back of a book before putting it back, until she found something that really piqued her interest.

She took the battered copy of the Iliad from the shelf and opened it, closing her eyes to take in the smell again. She knew that this edition had amazing artwork in it, but she could look at it later.

“Granger?” somebody called from behind her, and Hermione startled, letting go of the book in surprise. Luckily, the person standing behind her caught it mid-air and Hermione exhaled.

“I am so sorry and thank you,” she said, turning around quickly, her hand outstretched in a silent request to the stranger to return the book.

Hermione blinked a few times when she saw who was currently looking down at her, amusement on his face.

“It’s fine,” Draco said and offered her the book. “Did you find what you were looking for?” “Um, I didn’t have time to look properly yet,” she said uncomfortably. “But why are you asking, Malfoy? I mean, this is the first time we’ve seen each other in what, five years, and it’s quite the weird way to start a conversation.” “Oh. You don’t know,” Draco stated, his hand shooting up to scratch his neck as he shifted from one foot to another. “I own this place.” “Oh,” Hermione echoed. “Padma didn’t mention that. And neither did Marcus… I am sure they all didn’t know.” “Marcus as in Flint?” Draco asked in confusion. “Is he here too?” Hermione nodded. “Padma Patil, Cho Chang, Marcus and I came here together,” Hermione explained and Draco rose an eyebrow.

“That’s quite unexpected,” he said slowly.

“Well, we are looking for a book, and Padma heard that you get rare books for people.” Draco smiled suddenly, tilting his head a bit and a strand of hair fell into his face. It was longer than in school and ruffled, complimenting his sharp features perfectly. Hermione’s breath hitched at the sight, and she couldn’t help herself but to question how she hadn’t noticed before how attractive he had become. He had always been pretty, but his personality had always overshadowed that, making him absolutely unattractive to Hermione. Now that he was acting decent to her now, she could appreciate his looks.

“I am almost sure, that we have what you are looking for, and if we don’t, I can get it,” he said and Hermione nodded. She felt like she had ended up in some kind of parallel universe or a dream. But then, why would she dream about a ridiculously hot Malfoy?

“I have to say this is all quite unexpected,” she said suddenly. “You owning a shop with both muggle and wizard books and trading the rarest of rare. I would have never expected it.” “People change,” Draco shrugged. “But would you kindly tell me now what you are trying to find?”

Hermione’s brows furrowed. “You’ve asked me before?” she asked and sighed when Draco nodded. “Sorry. We are looking for Picatrix. But the original Spanish or even better Arab versions! Have you heard about it?”

“Of course. Who hasn’t? But I have never seen it before, at least not in the old translations you want. What do you need it for? I could get you the Latin version easily.”

“That’s none of your business,” Hermione replied harshly and Draco’s face fell.

“You are right,” he said. “It’s not my place to ask. We should get your friends now and go over the details of the hunt,” he turned on his heel, but Hermione caught his arm.

“Look, Malfoy,” she said, “that was uncalled for. I am sorry. It’s just… I have my reasons for wanting it and I don’t like talking about them. But we all are mostly interested in the archaic counter-curses. We are curse-breakers, you know.” Draco’s features relaxed slightly. “I understand. It’s just that most people aren’t too happy to see me and come here only because I am their last resort. You are one of the people who actually have every right to be angry at me and… Well, you are civil to me. It’s really unexpected and I don’t know what to say,” he shifted from one foot to another. “I am just really sorry about everything.” Hermione nodded awkwardly. “Maybe we should get to the others?” she said and heat rose to Draco’s cheeks.

“Sure,” he said and led her to the magical part of the store.

“Malfoy!” Marcus called out as soon as he saw them. “What are you doing here? I am surprised that you are still alive!” “I own this place,” Draco said automatically and Marcus rose an eyebrow.

“You are hunting down rare books?” “Growing up surrounded by the Malfoy and Black libraries does this weird thing to you, where you are an expert on rare books,” Draco shrugged. “I mean, your home library is huge, but I had two which were both even bigger, with my mother’s inheritance consisting of their family library and all.”

“That’s true,” Marcus admitted. “Makes quite some sense if you put it like that.”

“Now let’s go over the details. Granger here said you were looking for Picatrix. I have to admit, that I haven’t seen one yet, but I am sure I can manage to get a copy for you given enough time,” Draco said. “Usually I am able to deliver within the week, but my deadline is a month. With this, it might actually take that long. If you manage to get your hands on the book faster than I do, you can cancel the order any time. The price of the book depends on the quality of the copy I am able to get.” “The price doesn’t matter,” Padma rushed to say. “What matters is that we get the book.” “Alright,” Draco nodded. “Do you have any questions?” “No,” Cho, who had just checked her watch said. “If they have, they’ll owl you. We have to go now or our boss will kill us.” They all left reluctantly, Padma and Hermione looking wistfully at the books, and made their way back to their office, where a pile of trinkets was still waiting for them.

Two days later, Hermione found herself standing in front of the book shop once again. She had a day off work, as they still hadn’t gotten any real work thanks to the summer break, and had wandered off, her feet carrying her here.

She pushed the door open and stepped inside.

Draco was sitting at the small table at the back of the room, reading, and looked up when he heard the bell signalling that he had a customer.

Hermione walked over to him, and he smiled at her.

“Back so soon?” he asked. “I don’t have your book yet.” “I came to look at other books,” Hermione replied. “Like the Iliad from last time.” “Ah, the one you almost dropped.” “Exactly,” she said.

“Well, I believe I sold it earlier today,” Draco said and Hermione grimaced. “I hope you are joking,” she muttered. “I was really looking forward to it.”

“Maybe there is something else I can offer you? Like the magical version of the book?” he pulled out a beautiful leather-bound copy from his bag that was swung over his chair, and wiggled his eyebrows. “It’s even better than the muggle version. The illustrations are the same, but they move.”

“Let me take a look,” Hermione took the book carefully and opened it, scanning the pages with interest. “They aren’t the same,” she said finally and put the book in front of Draco, who had been watching her. “Look,” she said, pointing at one of the illustrations, “this illustration is missing in the other one. And in the muggle version, you have a picture of Agamemnon and Achilles arguing over Briseis on its place, not Apollo shooting the Greeks!” “You are describing the third muggle edition,” Draco drawled. “The first has this exact same motive there.” Hermione snorted. “No. The second edition had this motive there. The book you had was a first edition and had Agamemnon and Achilles.”

“If you know so much about the book why do you even want it?” Draco asked, leaning back in his chair.

“It’s beautiful,” Hermione shrugged. “Will you get it for me? You know, since you sold the copy I wanted.” Draco rolled his eyes. “On one condition.”

“Which would be?” “Have dinner with me,” he grinned at her and Hermione blinked a few times, reminding herself that she was indeed awake.

“Excuse me?” Draco sighed. “Come on, Granger. You’ve grown up quite nicely and you are still one of the only people who can match me on an intellectual level. And I know that you and Weasley broke up – I’ve read about his engagement to Parvati Patil in the Prophet.”

“Fine,” Hermione ran a hand through her hair. “I’ll have dinner with you. But I want the book.”

“It’s a pleasure doing business with you, Granger,” Draco grinned up at her. “I’ll pick you up at seven.” ooo

Draco picked Hermione up exactly at seven, just as he had promised and they went to a small Italian restaurant in muggle part of London.

“I still think it is weird that you frequent muggle London,” Hermione said after they ordered.

“Magical London wasn’t exactly welcoming after the war,” he shrugged. “I just wish I had had taken Muggle studies or had any muggleborn friends. It would have made things a lot easier.” “You could have asked me,” Hermione took a sip from her wine.

“You hated me.” “I testified in your favour at the trials,” she shot back and Draco’s cheeks turned slightly pink.

“I haven’t thanked you for that yet,” he whispered.

“Just let it be,” Hermione sighed. “I just want to let everything behind. We all lost too much and deserve a new start.” Draco smiled weakly at here. “Is that why you aren’t usually dating? You want to let everything behind?” Hermione chuckled darkly. “No. I don’t usually date, because it’s hard to have a relationship if you are constantly away. Sure, we don’t have much to do right now, but we work all around the world the rest of the year. I mean, Marcus and Oliver Wood work only because Oliver travels a lot too, and Marcus tries to be at the same place as him if it’s possible.” “Well, under these circumstances I might be the perfect match for you,” Draco smiled smugly.

“Oh really?” Hermione rose an eyebrow.

“Really. I travel a lot too, with looking for books and all, and I am quite flexible,” he winked at her and Hermione snorted.

“You are unbelievable.”

“I tried to tell you that all during school, but you didn’t listen,” he said, putting on his most angelic face and Hermione rolled her eyes.

“Yes, because that was what it was. I am sorry to inform you that my memory serves me just right. But really, why did you ask me out?” she asked, not looking at him, and playing with her glass instead.

“I told you. You are smart and pretty. And a good person. I would be stupid to not ask you out.”

“Even after everything?” Hermione looked up at him.

“Especially after everything. Though I have to admit that I am surprised you agreed. It is you who has more than enough reasons to hate me. I have nothing that I can or want to hold against you, as it was my behaviour that caused our rivalry and hatred back in school, and I am deeply sorry about that.”

Hermione nodded, biting her lip. “When did you stop believing in… that?” she asked finally.

“End of the fifth year, just after my father had been arrested. Everything went to hell after that and when I saw that he treated his followers as bad as his enemies I reconsidered everything. Some ideology wasn’t worth going to Azkaban or losing my life, but he had leverage and I had to follow the orders. I wish I had had a choice.”

“I am sorry for asking,” Hermione whispered and Draco gave her a crooked smile. “It’s fine,” he said just as their meals arrived.

After that, the tension lifted considerably and they chatted about their lives after the war and got into several heated discussions about books and curses and books about curses. The last one ended with Hermione jumping up from her chair and pointing her finger at Draco, announcing that she couldn’t understand how he was collecting rare books if he clearly had absolutely no idea about them.

They were asked to leave after that and Draco paid, before their exited the place, laughing.

“I am so sorry,” Hermione said, trying to catch her breath. “But you were wrong.” “I wasn’t!” Draco protested, a smile on his face as well, and pulled Hermione closer by her hand. “Should I bring you home?” he asked and when Hermione nodded, they walked together to her place hand-in-hand.

“Well, that was nice,” Hermione said awkwardly when they stood in front of her door and Draco grinned.

“It was. Thank you for going out with me,” he said.

“Thank you for inviting me out,” she replied.

“May I kiss you now?” Draco asked, his eyes on Hermione’s lips.

Hermione blushed, and nodded slightly and Draco leaned down, capturing her lips with his. She put her arms around his neck as he pulled her closer.

“Well, that’s what years of sexual tension do to you,” Draco said after they finally broke apart, his cheeks flushed and lips slightly swollen.

Hermione, who was still in his arms, huffed and hit him playfully on the chest. “That’s your excuse now, isn’t it?” Draco leaned down and pressed another chaste kiss on her lips before letting go of her. “It is. And I think I should leave now before we test the effects of that sexual tension any further.” Hermione rolled her eyes, but grinned to herself as she watched him leave.

They went on several dates in the following three weeks, until Draco announced that he had to go out of the country to get Hermione and her friends their book.

He had been away for six days when an owl knocked at Hermione’s window late at night, disturbing her reading. She stood up and walked over to let the animal in and took the letter after offering it a few treads.

Hermione opened it and squeaked in delight when she skimmed the contents, grabbing her jacket immediately, before running out of her apartment to get to the nearest apparation spot.

She apparated to work and ran to Draco’s shop from there, knowing that he had a flat above it. The light was still on in the shop and Hermione pushed the door open.

The bell alerted Draco of her presence once again and he stood up from his chair behind his desk when he saw her to greet her.

“Where is it?” Hermione blurted out instead of a greeting and Draco rolled his eyes. He pulled the book from his bag, but lifted it over his head when Hermione reached for it.

“Haven’t you forgotten something?” he said with amusement, looking down at Hermione’s pouting face.

She stepped closer to him and stood on her toes to kiss him, and Draco swung his free arm around her waist.

Hermione snatched the book from his other hand suddenly, stepping back, her eyes glued to it. Draco cursed himself as he had gotten distracted, lowering his arm subconsciously.

“I still don’t know why you wanted it so badly,” he said, stepping behind Hermione and resting his chin on her shoulder as to peek into the book alongside her.

“If I am not wrong there is a way to reverse the effects of the Cruciatus,” Hermione explained, not looking up from the text. “I promised Neville I would help his parents a long time ago and I might finally be able to do it.” Draco hummed, indicating that he had heard. “But don’t you want to thank me to finally getting it for you?” he drawled into her ear and Hermione reached behind to pat his cheek with one hand. “Later?” she asked and Draco sighed before stepping around and swooping her up into his arms together with the book.

“If you have to read it immediately, at least do it in my bed. I can’t let you catch a cold,” he said, carrying her to the back door of the small shop that lead upstairs and to his comfortable bed. “That way, I actually might get my reward some time next week.” Hermione laughed and kissed his jaw and Draco grinned back at her.

“Thank you,” she whispered.

“It’s the least I could do.”

Thoughts about chapter 855

Ok it happened again, when you try to convince yourself that it’s better to write the review after re-reading the chapter couple of times but you’re just so hyped that you simply can’t wait... !

“Nasu-dude” a.k.a lord Bobbin has decided to fix the situation all by himself and puts everyone to sleep with his ability. Many people have already discussed about his bounty but honestly I dont care about the those so don’t have much to talk about those.. :p Bobbin’s line “Even hell’s demons make appearances at mama’s tea parties” was quite interesting because it could mean many things and here are the following that crossed my mind: 1. Bobbin is much more powerful than that or there is coming something even more dangerous from BM’s side. 2. The second thought is very far fetched but could this has somethng to do with the line Sanji dropped back in Skypiea. He declared to become a devil if he sees anyone laying fingers on his (beloved) Nami-san but again these are just random speculations made after readng the oven fresh chapter. So it might be tha Bobbin’s comment really has nothing to do with it but it can also be that this is another foreshadowing made by Oda.

3. Pretty much the same as the number one option but maybe the most likely one is something about Pudding. We already know that she is not anymore just a sweet chocolatier but also carries the bloodline of the thrid eyed tribe. She STILL hasn’t got her introducion box even though she has been one of the main characters in this whole arc so there is no way

The Mirror World team as reached BM’s room where the gigantic yonko is snoring like there is no tomorrow. They now have to save Brook from her hands buuut it appears to be much harder than thought because she is pretty lively when sleeping. Even though Brulee tries to make some noise to get help from mama it’s actually a tiny fly that makes her disturbed but she doesn’t wake up she simply just tries to slap it away (making so much mess, I wonder how the others in the castle can’t hear how a gigantic hand makes probbly some noise). Also Prometheus, Zeus and Napoleon are reacting to mom’s feelings as well and they get angry and they try to attack (the fly). and this scene is so damn relatable because every summer there must be a annoying mosquito to disturb the sweed dreams

Last week when I was talking about the latest chapters with @ayumiyui she reminded me about the flashback where Sanji carries the self made bento to his sick mother and gets attacked by hungry dog and now the same happens again. I know it’s very unlikely that it’s the same dog at both times but still a nice parallel ! :’>

Meanwhile Sanji is running towards the promised place the retrieval team have made a fake-Brook in order to save the real one and a expected something will go wrong. There is a tiny sneeze that’ll awaken Momma’s reflexes and create some tension for the rescue mission but since they are very organized they manage to get the humming skeleton back. Nami was the one who was in charge of changing the doll to real one and this again raised my eyebrows and hopes about her being one of the key characters in the upcoming wedding ceremony beause it would be such waste from Oda to put so much effort on Nami’s reactions and will to save Sanji (not to mention what a badass and bave fighter she has become) if he really meant to just leave her be in the background.

Yes I am a hopeless shipper with such optimistic point of view but there are so many promising hints about the fact that she still will make that wedding a memorable one. Our theory with @ecassandrae considering Nami’s part in this upcoming wedding might not have gone completely wrong. Why? because even though she never got the chance to make any bargains with BM or have to worry about Sanji’s handcuffs once she finds out they are fake (more info in the theory post) BUT the thing is that there is no way she will let the wedding happen because even though she may not have stated it out loud and proud but she was against the wedding from the very first moment she heard about it. She still feels responsible about Sanji’s disappearance even though she slapped him and I think she definitely wants to reconcile, especially if she learns the reasons behind Sanji’s behaviour. Also simply the fact that Pudding told that Sanji will be shot in front of everyone must be haunting Nami because after losing one beloved because of a gunshot is traumatic enough I bet she really wants to avoid that to happen again.

Anyways, one task done and there is actually now only the biggest reunion to be done in the to do-list and gosh it’s going to be so darn emotional because we already have one big reunion happening soon, outside the castle *sobbing beforehand*

And seriously can we just have this one big moment to respect this badass “grandpa” skeleton just because he totally deserves that ! Just as expected Brook exploited his skull trick for this mission and hid the rubbings there. If someone has undersestimated Brook’s importance in Straw Hat Pirates then this is the proof that Luffy did not pick him for nothing to his crew !

(and before moving to the next topic I must say again how much I love simple humor like these “oh crap”-faces and so on :’D and it’s really good counterweight to the heartbreaking scenes *more sobbing because feels*)

Sanji has managed to shoo that hungry dog away and is now searching Luffy among all the fallen soldiers. Maybe it was his instincts but he headed right away to the promised place, not to the prison library even though Bobbin had declared that his crew mates are caught. THEN IT HAPPENS !!! Sanji hears the call of his captain (more likely his tummy’s call) and after all these chapters... he FLASHES A BRIGHT SMILE !! He is so happy to see Luffy there where he left them last time they met and this makes me (and many others) so damn happy because Sanj usually hides tears in front of men (and any other emotions that would make him “look weak”) but there he is shedding tears of joy. He must feel guilty about everything they’ve been through currently but on the other hand I think he is probably incedibly proud that his captain kept his promise about not eating a thing (judging from Luffy’s mummified look) and we know it means a lot to Sanji because he knows what a gluttonous captain he has and the fact that Luffy could have eaten secretly without telling anyone but he didn’t. I’m borrowing my fellow shippers @mapofallblue‘s words but it is clear how strong Luffy’s and Sanji’s bonds are.

I have an 11-yr old car with 106K miles that runs well. Last night I was rear-ended quite hard while waiting at a red light. Both the other driver and his insurance co immediately admitted liability. Back in 2005, I rented a car from Enterprise with FULL coverage insurance. 1 day I was on my way to school because I had a deadline to turn in a research paper that was 30% of our grade, & my sister 2x my age locked me in the house on purpose & thought it was funny. I got in the car, & drove it to school, & I panicked & got into a wreck & the car crashed into a tiny tree on the median. It was only a fender bender. But the company tried to say it was totaled for over $2,000 worth of damage. Everyone else who saw, said it was a fender bender. The twigs got inside the light on the left side of the front of the car. But that could've easily been fixed. Not sure. But the wheel alignment was messed up. Does that mean the car is totaled? What does TOTAL a car mean? That it couldn't be fixed? Well, I was just talking about it today, & a lot of people online had ganged up on me & attacked me. Now I'm feeling sad & hurt. About to cry. & they were calling me dumb, irresponsible, etc. Very hostile & angry @ me. They act like I wrecked THEIR personal car! People get into accidents all the time. Anxiety disorder or not. & they were saying that since I had full coverage, I shouldn't have been banned. & they were saying my story didn't make sense. Basically I took at a M&S car insurance plan for my car. A guy crashed into me whilst on a roundabout (my right of way) and his insurance have since accepted responsibility for the accident.I am now wanting to cancel the insurance as they have been very unhelpful throughout the whole process. I am just wondering how much I am going to have to pay to cancel the policy- As I was spreading the cost with agreed monthly payments the total cost including interest was 738. I did a one off payment of 101.87 and then so far have paid 4 installments of 57.89. As I have had the policy for 4 months. In the t's & c's on the website it says this: If you cancel your policy within 12 months of the Policy Start Date, we will calculate the cost for the period of cover based on our short period rates in force when we receive the Certificate of Motor Insurance and refund any excess premium you have paid. If we cancel, the premium will be calculated in proportion to the period of cover provided and we will refund any excess premium which you have paid when the Certificate of Motor Insurance has been returned to us As I have had the policy for 4 months how much will I have to pay to cancel (even the the whole process was not my fault!).just want to buy a new car and insure with somebody else! My daughter received a DUI a while back, as she put the car in 'Drive' (instead of 'Reverse') and drove through the side of a restaurant. This car was titled, registered and insured by me- I am her mother. She is over 30 years old. The insurance has covered to fix the car, but the restaurant has retained an attorney. (I live in SC and have $100,000 property damage on the car) Yesterday, my insurance adjustor called to ask for a release of my daughter's medical records, so they could meet with the restaurant's attorneys and show that she was not drunk. Well, she was drunk, and my daughter's attorney has told me not to release that information, as it is a violation of her rights- she already refused the breathalyzer, etc.Also, she WAS drunk, and this would only release that information possibly to others. Please no rude comments about all of this- I get it! Question: Can my insurance company refuse to pay for my daughter's ER bill ($13,000) AND the property damage, AND whatever else- due to the fact that they are going to decide she was 'drunk.' ???
