songs whose underlying bass mimics a heartbeat will always be the most superior hidden detail an instrumental track can have

even better when the tempo matches a character's heartbeat. it's elevated if they're fighting or afraid, it's sporadic if they're injured or losing blood. it completely dropping off, signifying their death....always the best application of musical storytelling imo
