Danny has found an… interesting corner of the Realms, avoided by all. There’s a bunch of ghosts, and a couple demons, angels, and a couple things that he’s never seen before. It’s actually really fun, and no one else ever comes so it’s kind of peaceful even with the chaos the family there does. There’s even a couple doctors who are happy to help him out, and apparently several dozen of them were vigilantes during life. Honestly this shadow area of the Zone is great!

Or, Danny stumbled across the Realms area where the bats of Every world and timeline have set up. He hasn’t realized the only reason he’s not already ghost-adopted is that the different versions are arguing over who gets to be the first to do so.

idk maybe it's because I see all art as various fields of craft work, ie skills composed of a series of linear steps that can be taken to produce certain results, but it irks me when people lose their shit over really basic pieces simply because the end result was able to produce a realistic image. like. especially since I've noticed it shows up a Lot more often in reference to categories of art dominated by women.

like, it's great y'all are gaining a respect for quilting and fiber work, but maybe loudly declaring that you either don't see or don't care about the immense display of skill in pieces unless they conform to what's mildly difficult in the one(1) genre of art you have deemed respectable isn't like. cool.

How fucked up is it to threaten these people into working as spies for you "for the good of Konoha", and then decide that these people (who have given NO INDICATION of intending to betray Konoha) are too good at being spies and thus Too Dangerous and should be killed for it. But no he can't just kill them in a normal way. He had to manufacture an entire scenario so that they'd kill EACH OTHER while making the mom not recognize him (with the express purpose of breaking the kid's spirit) like BROOOOOO I know you ordered the whole Uchiha clan to be massacred (conducting genocide for the sake of 'peace') actually now that I think about it he ordered this of itachi. Ordered him to kill his own family. I think one aspect to measure a ship's rarepairness is it's popularity when compared to crackships. If it's more popular than generic crackship 254 then it's probably not a rareepair but if more people will know the crackship than the alternative serious and maybe even well thought out ship between two characters then it is probably most probably a rareepair

i wasnt rly talking about differences between rarepair and crackship but more "what makes a ship popular" in general

imo the difference between crackship and rarepair is the amount of canon content 🤔 crackships don't need a base at all but rarepairs usually have one. if it's "these two characters who haven't talked much would be interesting together" then it's a crackship (what makes a ship rare is a bit harder to measure and each case it's exclusive because you have to take a lot of factors into account). But. i don't think they're mutually exclusive things it's more like. all (or almost all) crackships are rarepairs but not all rarepairs are crackships. for example i'd say rinne/shu is somewhat a crackship? it doesn't have much canon content afaik. meanwhile mitsu/haji, who are both in the same unit and have had several 5*+4* events together, are more of a rarepair: neither are each other's most popular ship, or even second most-popular. but also rinne/shu have 80 fics on ao3 (which is more than some def not rare ships) and mitsu/haji have 11. of course character popularity plays a huge part here (big part of why i said its hard to measure how rare a ship is) (did u guys know kaname has more fics than mitsuru) but my point is.

you could place mitsu//haji in rare, rinne//shu in crack and (spins roulette) haji//shu in both and it all quite checks out

What kind of things are they into?

It's hard for her to answer this, for multiple reasons. There's a clear image in her mind of what she likes, even loves, the lines traced between her favorites that she returns to, but it's not something that can exist in words, not something she could roll around on her tongue if she tried. oh my god I can’t imagine Meenah and Kurloz successfully talking through their feelings without Feeder Vantas holding their fronds every step of the way, and while I’m sure somebody somewhere has a pale exhibition kink (cough Gamzee cough) I don’t think Meenah is one of those somebodies. Although Meenloz have been pretty extreme exhibitionists in other ways, huh? Does Meenah get her kicks humiliating people both in both a conciliatory and concupiscent sense? But she wouldn’t want to be the one whose feelings are exposed . . .

RE: Meenloz, I think the humiliation part for Meenah is bound up in a sexual response, so for a purely pale relationship it wouldn't be on the table--theoretically it could be for her blurred/vacillating thing with Kurloz, but also Kurloz is much more willing to have sex over a table in front of an entire banquet than he is to be completely vulnerable emotionally for 0.2 seconds. So like, I think she knows him well enough to know that if she pushed on that it would not go well.

Also yes, HER unwillingness to express any actual emotions in any helpful way is a big part of the problem, and she definitely can't take what she dishes out. What the fuck for should she be humiliated or embarrassed or vulnerable about shit. She's the empress. Fuck off with that. 😤

kiibo is soooooo careful of them when they do he does his best to stay perfectly completely still for however long they stay asleep but over time he gets more comfortable. he is so overwhelmed with emotion every time because it's like wow they feel safe enough to just fall asleep..... i think postgame kaede and shuichi are so clingy with each other and especially can't fall asleep at night without each other so if it's just one of them kiibo's like !!!!!!!!!!!!!!WHAT

Im not on tiktok and never have been, but I downloaded RedNote just to see what is up, and I am witnessing something truly amazing

The Chinese user community is giving the American tiktok refugees an overwhelmingly warm welcome, meanwhile the American users seem to have collectively agreed that not only will they not let the app be taken over with English and they will provide Mandarin subtitles for everything, they are LEARNING MANDARIN. Ive scrolled through so many videos of Americans offering greetings in Mandarin to try to acclimate to the new environment and be respectful, and speakers of both languages are posting lots of tutorials on language basics and internet slang in Mandarin

My God, there is an AMAZING outpouring of curiosity and delight among everyone to learn about each others cultures and daily lives. People are posting videos of landscapes, cities, towns, and natural areas in USA and China, posting recipes and traditional foods, vlogs of everyday life, and reaching out to find people with similar hobbies.

And it's not just young people! There are loads of videos from middle-aged American guys who have come to post about fishing or motorcycles and are now happily chatting with Chinese users sharing the same interests using Google translate

One American guy who was like. in his 60's had a comment on one of his videos that was like "Red Neck?" and he replied "Yes!" and I just about fucking lost it

Also the Chinese users love, and I mean LOVE, Luigi Mangione. He is apparently broadly adored in China. There is SO much fanart and SO many edits.

There are many threads initiating Chinese users to ask questions of American users about the USA, and vice versa, and everyone on both sides is clearing up a lot of misconceptions. Some of the questions I saw a lot from Chinese users were: "Is it true that American parents kick you out of the house as soon as you turn 18" (not often, but sometimes) "Do you all really wear shoes in bed" (NO!!! Apparently a lot of characters in American sitcoms are shown lying in bed with shoes on which I never noticed before!) and "are there really guns everywhere" (yes).

For the most part Chinese content creators seem just overwhelmed by the sudden influx of hundreds of followers that are super enthusiastic about what they're doing. A lot of them have made posts about how initially they thought the uptick in follower count was some kind of error, or that there was some kind of joke or prank, but then they realized the interest and enthusiasm was genuine and now they're welcoming all the newcomers.

I found several posts by Chinese users saying that this felt like a really profound historical moment, where these previously separated worlds are suddenly smashing together and suddenly there is freedom to learn about each other's cultures and connect. One of them said something along the lines of "This is a 21st century Tower of Babel and even though I'm an atheist I hope God lets this tower stand." OUGH MY HEART.

The app itself works a little bit like a video-based version of Pinterest. It's not really my thing so I probably won't be on there long term but it's been amazing to see what's happening.
