ID: A split lineup of eight original characters drawn as creatures from My Little Pony in a style close to the official G4 art style. Longer IDs (and some small extra details :3) for individual characters in alt text! End ID.
i re-entered my pony fixation in like june and of course that meant i had to draw my guys as ponies. You must understand im sure
bonus version of cinnamon as something actually horse-adjacent under the cut. featuring a rather cursed version as well.
Tumblr media
ID: A loose sketch of a tiny red mule with curly, slightly-dyed hair wearing a fancy vest, pants, and dress shirt. Orange-colored braces are around their back legs. Next to it is a looser, uncolored sketch of a similar design but front-facing with a paper featuring a silly one-eyed face taped over their actual face. End ID.

In Defense of Marinette
I like Marinette. While there are many valid criticisms of her writing, the same can be said for literally every other character and she's actually doing pretty well given that she's the main character. After all, in a show where consistent characterization is an ongoing issue, the one with the most screen time will probably be the one who's the biggest victim of the issue.
This is heavily exacerbated by the rule that supposedly governs Miraculous. Namely that, in each story, Marinette must make a mistake. Or, at least, so says the head writer:
Tumblr media
I really do not care what this guy says on Twitter or anywhere else. I only care about what's in the show because, if you have to go outside the text to understand the text, then you have no idea how to tell a good story.
However, unlike many of the tweets that I've seen, this one isn't some BS bit of lore. It's a writing rule and it has substantial backing in the text. It's extremely rare to have an episode where Marinette comes out smelling like roses and that's a problem because Miraculous has over 100 episodes. In other words, to follow this rule, the writers have to come up with over 100 ways for Marinette to be wrong so of course she's going to come across poorly. Why would you do this to your main character?
It's extremely common for kids shows to have a "lesson of the day" element to them. Someone always needs to learn something, but I've never seen a show misunderstand the assignment so badly. Learning a lesson is not the same as doing something wrong.
It's been a while since I watched the 2010 version of My Little Pony, but it really leaned into that whole "lesson of the day" thing and it actually knew what it was doing, so I'm going to talk about it briefly to discuss things that Miraculous should have done.
The first thing to note is that MLP had an unambiguous main character - Twilight Sparkle - but Twilight was not the one who learned all of the lessons. She had a pet dragon and a crew of five friends who would, occasionally, be the ones to learn the lesson because there were lots of lessons that simply didn't fit Twilight's character. Instead of warping Twilight to make the idea work (cough cough Ikari Gozen cough), the writers just let someone else have the spotlight for a bit.
This is an excellent way to build out your cast and Miraculous had plenty of opportunities to do it. For example, Lila should not have been Marinette's issue. The fact that Lila hates Marinette could have certainly stuck around, but the one who takes her down and learns to investigate her sources? That should have been Alya. A liar is the perfect enemy for an investigative journalist, but a poor enemy for someone who shines as a battlefield commander and overthinks when she's given too much time.
Another way that MLP would teach lessons was to have someone other than Twilight or the main crew cause the issue that they then had to deal with. This leads to one of the best moments in children's television:
youtube
And, frankly? Marinette deserves a moment like this. That poor girl has been through hell and is never allowed to make the right call when it really matters. The show will even completely rewrite its lore to make her fail (see: Strike Back). That is such an awful thing to do to your lead! Shows about female empowerment should include women feeling powerful and, no, Lila and Chloe don't count!
Also, the show is literally about Gabriel taking advantage of people who are upset. You don't need to have Marinette make a mistake to shoehorn in a life lesson. Akumas are life lesson fodder and season 1 actually seemed to get this. I'm not sure why they switched gears to "Marinette is the star and, therefore, must always be wrong."
The final way that MLP taught lessons was to have Twilight do something wrong because having your main character do something wrong is a totally valid way to teach lessons. It just shouldn't be your only way because you know who is always wrong in children's media?
Villains.
They wrote Marinette like a villain.
And a large part of the fandom hates her for it because of course they do.
You're not supposed to like villains.

Aside from some of the basic premise and the space elevator (I think I see that in the concept art), were there any other elements from Maretropolis you were planning to incorporate in Andromi? (Sorry if you've already answered something like this elsewhere.)
Boy this is a blast from the past lmao. I can't even remember the last time someone brought up Maretropolis.
For context for anyone who doesn't know, Maretropolis was an MLP fancomic I started working on aaaaallllllllll the way back in 2012, set in a sci-fi AU. It starred a Rainbow Dash who had gotten into a bad flying accident and had several of her limbs replaced with cybernetic prosthetics by Twilight, who's a roboticist in this universe. It sounds a little grimdark when I describe a My Little Pony character losing multiple limbs in a horrific accident, but the heart of the story was just that Rainbow Dash had lost her wings, so she would have to try and figure out her place in the world now that she could no longer fly.
I had brainstormed a TON of ideas for this, thinking it'd be like my magnum opus as an MLP fanartist. I channeled my love of sci-fi into all sorts of fun little ideas for how a version of FiM set in a giant sci-fi city would work. Sweet Apple Acres would be a vertical farm in a high-rise greenhouse. Fluttershy would take care of stray animals found around the city. There were these giant spaceport towers visible in the city, and I'm pretty sure I wanted to eventually depict a city on the moon that Luna ruled over. A lot of stuff like that. Surprising no one, there was also going to be a yuri element to it with a romantic arc for Rainbow Dash... though, believe it or not, she was going to fall in love with Pinkie, not Fluttershy, in this story. (I was already exploring FlutterDash over on Fluttershy Replies and wanted to mix things up with another ship I liked, rather than running two blogs about the same ship.) Rainbow would be unable to fly up to her cloudtop apartment after the accident, so Pinkie would let her stay at her place, and then one thing would lead to another.
The problem I quickly ran into, though, was that I just wasn't built to be a comic artist. I'm not that confident as an illustrator to begin with, and I work very slowly, so doing entire comic pages was an ordeal. I'd bitten off more than I could chew, especially with the elaborate city setting that would've really challenged my meager art skills at the time. Before long I switched my focus to making games, since that was my main career goal in the first place. I considered turning Maretropolis into an RPG Maker game or something, but the project just sorta quietly died as my interest shifted. (Especially after I got my C&D from Hasbro that ensured I would never make an MLP fangame again lmao)
Fast forward to 2014, and I started working on an original sci-fi game, Andromi. (Anyone not familiar with that project can read about it here.) And, yes, you're definitely right in noticing some similarities. It was never intended to be a direct retool of the story of Maretropolis or anything, but since Maretropolis was basically just me throwing a bunch of my favorite sci-fi stuff at the wall it was inevitable that I'd revisit some things from that earlier project. Naomi being a cyborg is the obvious one. But I had realized over time that my fun cyborg Rainbow Dash AU was really a story about physical disability, and in hindsight I wasn't sure if 18-year-old Bobby was gonna be able to tell a story like that well. So Naomi has basically nothing in common with Maretropolis Rainbow Dash's planned arc, aside from the fact that they both have cybernetic limbs. (And also, y'know, they'd both be sapphic love stories. But, again, it's me, so that goes without saying.)
And, yes, you're 100% right that I reused some visual elements from Maretropolis in the city in the background of this piece of Andromi art, mainly the giant spaceport towers. Though Andromi was intended to be primarily a small town sci-fi story, so I'm unsure how much of that city we would've actually seen.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There ARE some other story ideas that originated in Maretropolis before evolving into ideas for Andromi. But, well... I'd still like to do something with Andromeda and Naomi someday, so I'm keeping those ideas to myself for now.

decided to get back to my roots for a bit and tackle redesigns of my all-time favourite mlp G3 dream team : 3 these five have shaped my early 2010s and helped me to grow both as an artist and storyteller (i started writing silly little fanfics and my own take on the then-hypothetical G5 based on G3 and these five characters in particular), so they have, and always will have my entire heart.
i came up my own kind of au version of G3 and here are some of my small headcanons for each character!!
Rainbow Dash:
her parents are Parasol (G1 pony) and Barnacle (G1).
she is the oldest (and the tallest!) of the five.
she is a major fashionista and diva, but with a hint of adventurousness and even ferocity behind those eyes. Dash is a fan of all things beautiful, be it bright colours, grand celebrations, and more down-to-earth values.
naturally, her craft is related to rainbows - she draws them with the special paint she makes herself, and it's a very rare knowledge among the Ponyville citizens (Unicornia's rainbow-creating magic works on the same basis as Dash's paint, she just makes it without the unicornian magic involved).
oftentimes she is the voice of reason for her friends.
in her free time she designs clothing in collaboration with Sew-and-So and funds/runs fashion shows.
isn't the biggest fan of sweets (thinks it spoils her figure and coat).
absolutely adores rainy weather (cause rainbows).
is a sap for romance and cheep romantic novels.
Spike:
was born in a dragon tribe living far from pony societies.
was born wingless and with water-based powers, while most dragons breathed fire and had wings, so he's an oddball amongst the common dragons.
the dragons were supposed to work with pony royalty/leaders and protect them. The way the dragons chose did it was passing a test of obtaining a very rare flower only meant to be gifted to the royalty - the Royal Everbloom, a flower which was near impossible to maintain/grow but could bloom for forever.
Spike failed to pass his test of safely delivering the Royal Everbloom back to the tribe, failing to protect the flower from a bad storm so it withered under hard rain. However, Wysteria noticed Spike struggling to keep the flower safe just outside her cottage and brought them both inside - nursing the poor dragon and the flower back to health. It suddenly bloomed under her care, so by the old tradition, it meant that Wysteria belonged to royalty.
cue the events of Princess Promenade pretty much the same as they went down in the original as Spike played the role of mentor and royal advisor to Wysteria. She still rejected the title in the end, proclaiming that Ponyville didn't need royalty to govern over them and that she was no more special than any other.
Spike is humbled (and charmed) by her worldview and decides that he rather enjoys the simple life of local ponies - besides, he has grown deeply devoted to Wysteria and doesn't want their friendship to end, so he parts with his tribe and lives with the purple gardener in her little cottage.
he greatly helps Wystie with gardening - his water-breathing powers come in handy while working with plants! He finds that even if he doesn't breathe fire like "normal" dragons, he still can make his abilities work in other fields.
he is often the brains of the group - his exotic dragonic upbringing is a great contrast to the ponies' more down-to-earth worldviews.
is a vegetarian (idk if all dragons in this universe are or it's just him, but-).
is a big fan of literature of all kinds, especially poetry.
generally is a huge nerd and is prone to rambling about his favourite subjects. Not the most outgoing person, more of an introvert, especially in contrast to most ponies (that's why they match their energies with Wysteria so well).
absolutely adores Wysteria, they are something of platonic soulmates/life-partners. Can be very protective of her, even though he is usually non-threatening/pretty chill (he is her personal dragon guardian!)
Wysteria:
her parents are Blossom (G1) and Salty (G1).
Petal Blossom (G2) is her maternal older cousin.
Wysteria took to gardening and flower arrangement since early years from her mother. Participated in a lot of local fair gardening competitions through her fillyhood and won the majority of them (the trophies are kept at her parents’ house).
moved out from her parents’ house once she had managed to save up enough money to purchase a small but neat cottage at the edge of the woods; it is located near Ponyville, but quite far from its centre. Pinkie, Minty and Dash like to visit their bestie and her dragon friend on weekends and each time together they plan some really fun activities.
during spring and summer seasons, Wysteria lives off selling flowers and bouquets at Ponyville’s biggest market. Once autumn hits however, she and Spike stay at one of their three closest friends’, Pinkie, Minty or Dash’s, house until next spring - each year they stay at a different pony’s house. Wysteria and Spike help out with chores and share household duties during their stays, but even regardless of that their friends are simply happy to let the two live with them.
Wysteria is socially anxious and quite solitary, content with keeping a limited circle of friends to spend time with. Akin to Snufkin she requires a lot of “alone” time away from others, that’s why she likes living so far from the town. However she is very dependable and very very kind, so a lot of ponies confide in her.
hates. weeds. so. much.
often feeds stray and forest animals coming to her cottage. Is fond of bunnies and birds the most.
Pinkie Pie:
her parents are Cotton Candy Snr. (G1) and Slugger (G1). Is a twin sister to Cotton Candy Jr (G3).
Pinkie runs a gift shop along with Minty, her bestie since fillyhood and a life-partner.
works as a party planner as her second job - generally just love celebrations and organising events.
she is a natural leader and is able to make even opposing groups come and work together. Sociable and easy-going, pretty chill to be around.
isn't easily scared and usually doesn't believe things she can't see with her own eyes or try out.
has a MAJOR sweet-tooth: her sister runs an ice-cream cafe, so there's that.
has a "supernatural" ability to come up with a solution to almost anything, - using Pinkie's squink (basically just squeezing her eyes tight and thinking long enough).
is drawn to photography and films.
Minty:
her parents are Minty Snr. (G1) and Steamer (G1). Ice Crystal (G1) is her maternal uncle.
everyone's favourite disaster-monger.
works in a gift shop alongside Pinkie. Generally can't function well without her supervision lol.
Clutzy and socially anxious, but in a different way than Wysteria, Minty is obsessive, hyperactive and makes up for her awkwardness with her pony-pleasing attitude. Enjoys helping others out, it makes her feel important.
can't sit still for long period of time, needs an outlet for her excessive energy.
collects SOCKS.
winter is her favourite season; it reminds her of warmth and companionship of her friends huddled close by the fireplace. Exchanging gifts and stories. Making others smile.
is surprisingly good at checkers.
is claustrophobic, hates being limited.
doesn't enjoy reading that much, but rather likes picture-book illustrations.

Note
Sort of a long confession, sorry
As somebody who once stopped watching Solarballs once because I was mad at how “Earth was handled” when he offended Titan.
All I can say is:
Refusing to watch something because you’re upset at how a character you love or kin is not behaving like how you assumed they would is no reason to blurt “Out of Character”. Like I remember I was angry and thought Earth was “Out of character” like most ppl at the time also believed. But then I watched previous videos and realized that I was wrong and Earth actually was a bully at times
And I notice that this seems to be a huge issue in this fandom. People get obsessed with their fanon that they get angry that canon doesn’t do the same. Before Neptune’s debut, some people assumed he would be a girl, others thought he was gonna be mute. But people got angry when he turned out to be silly and forgetful that they came up with this idea that he’s secretly evil. (Like…When MLP fandom made creepy ass fanfics of Pinkie Pie killing her friends and even children) So many people are obsessed with this idea that they take screenshots of the moments where he isn’t smiling just to say “Two face Neptune canon!” As if he isn’t allowed to have other emotions. Like they forget that Neptune’s been shown to have a potentially traumatizing backstory (Solarballs please, I’m begging you to go back to that…)
People were also mad over Rhea being a soft girl just because she’s the second largest Saturnian moon??? (Have you seen Saturn? The second largest planet? HER PLANET???) Oberon is a soft boy sometimes and he’s the second biggest Uranian moon!
Then people assumed they knew everything about Titania just by her debut episode and complained when she was talking to Titan. They…were not flirting, the scene was not at all romantic, saying this as somebody who does ship them. Personally I think Titania is wearing a tough girl façade just like Europa and that’s why Europa is the one trying to warn her not to make any sudden decisions. She just doesn’t want Titania to make the same mistakes she, Ganymede, and Titan made and I am here for it!
Anyway, the list goes on and on but this confession is long enough. But in conclusion: Don’t be upset when your character predictions are wrong. And if you really do want it your way, write your own version! AND PLEASE DO NOT HARASS PEOPLE WHO ARE STICKING TO CANON OR LIKE WHATEVER IS IN CANON, THAT IS CROSSING THE LINE!

Neoptolemus, Telemachus, and Peisistratus
Neoptolemus
Inspired by roispider's Neo design abt him having siren ears and leaving them out in the open unlike Achilles - Pony Neo has changeling characteristics and can very much shapeshift into a more normal looking pony like what Achilles did, but he dgaf. At first I was actually gonna. make him have no powers at all. Like unable to shapeshift. But I checked my designs for the other ponies and felt bad lmao.
Telemachus
His unicorn magic is kinda centered around his kirin powers, and that's what his cutie mark is abt. Ik they showed up in one episode in mlp, but they're really pretty and literally blow up in flames whenever they're mad. I already love unhinged human telemachus so yk,,, transferring that same energy to him as a pony.
Tumblr media
Odysseus and Telemachus aren't exeptionally powerful unicorns like twilight or Starlight- they have magic centered around their talents(like rarity in mlp, her unicorn magic is abt clothes and gems) but they're pretty good at just talking. Also I thought i made it comically noticable in my odypen art but no one said anything abt it SO I'M GONNA SAY IT HERE, TELEMACHUS GOT ODYSSEUS' THICK THIGHS!!!! OR HIND LEGS, IN PONY FORM!!!!
Tumblr media
Peisistratus
CUTIEPIE!!! He's a regular pegasus. I made the other ponies half creature bec something was missing NOT HIM THOUGH!!! I designed his pony before his human version omgdjsjdjsnd
This is mlp level rating bec of Peisistratus. Ain't no brother of his is gonna dieee
Tumblr media
and AND OK OK GUYS
Tumblr media
SCAMANDRIUS/ASTYANAX IS GONNA LIVE. (I still wanted to draw neo like this tho I like bullying him) I wanna give him friends thoughhh idk what other kids are his age like nicostratus?? chrysothemis??????? Are we gonna have the greek pony version of cutie mark crusaders????
Rrrr I haven't finished the other pony(or creature) designs but i really wanted to show these- for some reason from the moment they were revealed in the mlp show, I always really REALLY liked the creatures. I got inspired by daxpii (on instagram) and their redesign of the mane six as different creatures, so that's what I'm going for!!!!! I'm bad at character design lol so I'm making each of them even MORE unique by making a bunch part creature.. ALSO HAVE THESE TOO!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
More info when I finish colouring them!!
(From left to right)
Iphigenia, Orestes, Electra (born from goat Agamemnon and (from birth) unicorn Clytemnestra)
Nausicaa(part dragon pony), Hermone(crystal pony + deer), Polycaste(Pegasus)

I'm finally posting my version of this MLP colouring page!
Am I WAY too late for the trend? Yes.
Do I care? No. I spend too much time on this to NOT post it lol.
Seriously, though. I spent so much time agonising over the characters' colours, and then i just sort of... forgot about this. Hopefully I'll get around to creating my full-on redesigns of these guys some day.

Updated version of "what your favorite Sector V operative says about you"
Nigel: you're a loser, but progressively. You support pro minority movements and would probably take a bullet for the cause. You had some stupid or crazy theory about why he was bald when you were younger/before you binge watched. You also probably defended him when you saw the GKND stuff. "Maybe he had a good reason!"
Hoagie: you're autistic and got made fun of in school a lot. Every time you tell yourself "I'm going to be silent so everyone feels bad" you cave into the desire for ranting the minute somebody brings up a topic you're educated in. You probably defend this kid with your life because you relate a liiiiiittle too much to him... You also believe Hoagie is a Nintendo franchise type of kid... Pokemon, Zelda, Mario, etc.
Kuki: you had the same sized collection as her growing up. Doesn't matter what kind of plushies you collected, you had a TON and that's all that matters. You were in the MLP fandom at some point most likely, and if not that, FNAF. You hate the portrayal of this character in the show but it's okay because you've given her depth yourself. You hate the fanart that makes her look stupid.
Wally: you're autistic and got made fun of in school... By the teachers. Everyone alternated between calling you the smartest person ever and the stupidest kid on the planet and it confused the shit out of you. You swear a lot, a given, and you most definitely get aggressively protective about your viewpoints. You think Wally is the best implied disabled rep EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And you probably have a few ships with him as well. Okay, I'm underexaggerating that. You have a *lot*. They're all queercoded.
Abby: gifted child burn out. You're disabled in some way, be it invisible or visible, and you're tired all the time. They put you in gifted child courses as a kid, then got upset when it overwhelmed you immensely. You probably enjoy hobbies that are similar to crafts and reading. You either never listen to music or listen to it all the time. You relate to Abby's implied burnout and you cried during DOGHOUSE. Chances are, you're a sapphic Abby truther and, to pair with it, you've made your Hoagie either enby or female.

Pizza Tower AU- Cloud Tower
"WARNING!": A LOT OF TEXT
A new AU that didn't take long to wait. To be honest, this idea came up spontaneously and additionally for several reasons, one of which is my childhood dream of having wings (and over the years my dream hasn't faded, which is surprising, usually my dreams fade after 5 years or a little more). Before I start talking about this world, a couple of additional words. A huge thank you to Emily (@creat0rstudi0) for helping me with this AU: she helped with the design of Peppino and Gustavo, from whom I pushed off and created images for others, painting everyone choosing a good palette for them (don't worry, I also painted the characters myself, Emily just gave a clearer palette than me, so I will show you 2 versions of painted characters), and also helped a little with information about the bosses. Well, now let's go.
Cloud Tower is an AU where instead of the earth there are small floating islands, platforms, and the space around is an endless sky, which is both a home and a grave. If you break your wings and fall, there is only a small chance that your body will fall on some island or platform, or if someone notices you falling, and if this is not the case, then consider that you will fall endlessly for the rest of your life (or until your corpse is cut by the air). And also (almost) everyone has wings. There are those who were born without them, or with them, but because of their problems (they grew together incorrectly or broke unsuccessfully) are disabled, roughly speaking. Also, someone may have additional plumage (in their hair, on their body, etc.) in addition to their wings. And yes, since the climate in their world is not so simple, many fly in warm clothes. There is also magic here, but it is hidden either in artifacts or in some creatures, since the world itself is also magical in its own way (after all, the food here is alive, lol). A few words about the tower. There is a certain atmosphere there similar to the Rainbow Factory from MLP Creepypasta.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Peppino and Gustavo are both cooks, but in their own separate directions. Peppino is an Italian cook, while Gustavo works as a baker of bakery sweets. One day, Pizzaface arrives on a flying platform and reports that Peppino's pizzeria will be destroyed by a cloud tower, but if he does not want this, then let him fly to the tower, and flew away, leaving behind an evil laugh. What actually did not like this, and they both decided to fly there and destroy the tower with its "owner".
Additional facts: Peppino, despite the fact that he does not particularly like to fly, although he has to, his flight speed is clearly faster than Gustavo's, while he flies slower; Gustavo has his own separate bakery, where he makes pastries, he would like to work with Peppino, but he cannot leave the place where his family once baked their first bread; Peppino participated in the heavenly war, from which he still has an injury, but thanks to work and his faithful friend Gustavo, he tries to live an ordinary life and not think about it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pepperman and Vigilante are two of the main bosses of the cloud tower who clearly didn't get there of their own free will. They were kidnapped a long time ago and forced to work for Pizzahead, having been threatened in a special way. Pepperman is a restorer (like in steampunk, yes) and a decorator. Vigilante is an ordinary security guard, and also watches the precipitation.
Additional facts: Pepperman has really white pupils, which is why his eyesight is worse than usual (he is not completely blind), and the reason for his poor eyesight is that he refuses to wear glasses for flying (but be that as it may, for work he still wears them under his beret along with additional tools); before getting into the tower, these two were ALREADY a couple; Vigilante's grandfather, who has long been retired, is still alive; as PH himself "promised", so that the bosses would be freed from their tower duties, they need to "rip off Peppino's wings" at any cost, even if they weren't aimed at fighting him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Noise and Noisette are another couple who ended up in the tower in the same way as Pepperman and Vigilante. Noise hosts the news and weather forecast, and a small show similar to "Truth or Dare". Meanwhile, Noisette is still the same cafe owner.
Additional facts: Noise has a broken right wing, it was broken by Pizzahead when he tried to fly out of the tower for the first time, he broke it so much that now Noise can't fly at all, the wing has grown together crookedly and he is unable to straighten it and move it, so he flies with the help of a backpack on his back, which he can change to either a jet or a simple propeller; Noisette sometimes helps Noise with flying and how Noise injured his wing, she does not know to this day; I lied to you a little, Pizzahead kidnapped only Noise, and Noisette herself flew to PH when she was looking for him, and when she found him, so that PH would not harm her, he lies to her and offers to join Pizzahead, as he himself wanted.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Bruno is an unsuccessful clone, mixed with a regular bird and Peppino's DNA, created by PH. He can fly, but very ineptly because his arms replace his wings, which is why he falls and crashes into all sorts of possible objects, which is why he flaps his wings hard and pieces fly off from them, he can of course grow them, but this whole process takes a lot of his strength.
Additional facts: in addition to his speech, he makes a distorted bird sound; despite his inability to fly, the bosses (Pepperman, Vigilante and Noisette) still teach him to fly normally, they also additionally look after Bruno himself, feed him and teach him to speak, since PH himself does not do this; because of such care, Bruno accepts his friends more as parents, calling them accordingly (in the future, he will also call Peppino this way 😂)
Pizzahead is the main boss, a sadist and a psycho. He built a tower, around which a barrier in the form of clouds with a powerful lightning discharge is built, and in order to turn it off, you need to turn off the generators.
Additional facts: Pizzahead and Pizzaface in this AU are brothers, Pizzahead is younger; after one incident, his psyche was shaken, he was inspired to recreate the tower for his whims and "fun"; he cut off Pizzaface's wings and as a great and first trophy keeps them in his office along with John's wings and one wing of Jerome; those wings that Pizzahead himself is wearing are also "trophies", cut off from other creatures, but he tells everyone that they are fake and it's just a cape, he also participated in the war, but in secret from his brother, so that he "wouldn't worry" about him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pizzaface is Pizzahead's brother and ... a good guy? Yes! In this AU, he is not a bad character, but rather a good one. So in that encounter with Peppino, he just played the role of a bad guy. He is quiet (but he tries to be sociable) and traumatized. He does not often show himself to the other inhabitants of the tower, which is why few people know about him. Most of the time, he spends either in the secret room where Pizzahead keeps him, or with Jerome, helping him clean the tower.
Additional facts: because of the cut off wings, he feels weak and exhausted; he still does not know why Pizzahead acted so cruelly and what happened to his psyche, but he blames himself for this, that he was not caring enough and simply did not keep an eye on him; Pizzahead watches almost his every move so that he does not do stupid things and does not ruin his plans, and for the sake of PH he has to play the same role of a bad guy.
Jerome is a small pillar with one wing and memory loss due to a strong blow from Pizzahead. He is a simple cleaner. He does not remember anything about his brother or his past, although memories still pop up in his head. In the past, he had magic, but due to the loss of a wing and memory, he does not remember and cannot use it normally, over time, the skills were simply lost.
Additional facts: he is Pizzaface's best friend, and he sometimes helps him remember things, but he cannot (PF hopes that he will remember something); he has seen John many times as an ordinary part of the tower, but he cannot remember him or at least his name; initially, he was not supposed to be in the tower and Pizzahead wanted to throw him on a long flight, but Pizzaface somehow convinced him to leave him and just make him an ordinary cleaner.
Well, I hope you like this AU. Enjoy and have a nice flight!

Hi Quinton!! I have been a HUGE fan of your stuff since a friend sent me the Tobuscus Fallen Titans (I used to watch him back in high school and was like "huh, wonder what happened to him after those allegations") and I gotta say, it is REALLY FUNNY every time my fiancé and I watch the iCarly videos again, because when you cover Gibby's stunt double breaking his ribs, you cut to a clip of The Official Podcast. I used to play D&D with one of the main dudes from the podcast, so when he talks during that clip I do a goddamn double take literally every time.
Anyways, I remember an original Patreon stretch goal being a Fallen Titans on Homestuck! I was really big into Homestuck in my early 20s, and was wondering if that's still on the table at some point? If not that's fine, I understand plans change! I just love Fallen Titans lol, the Fred episode and the Neil Cicierega unFallen Titans are some of my favorite videos of yours!
That's a real funny story!
So here's the rundown on the Homestuck video. When I first started making long videos, they were actually inspired by the relationship I had with other YouTubers at the time. I used to watch, like, H3H3 and Filthy Frank, etc; and I'd always see people obsessed with the versions of creators from the past. Like, "Oh 2015 H3 was the best" and "Oh 2012 Frank was peak." So I had this idea that it would be crazy if H3 posted, like, a video he spent a decade on and you got a new video with 2015 H3 10 years on. (I don't watch H3 anymore ironically)
So the original idea for the "long video" format was that it would be cool if, throughout a long, analysis/review/recap video, you kept noticing someone get older. Maybe my months, maybe by years. That's why I always like to get a haircut when I start one of these videos. If you scrub through and you see my hair get longer and messier as it goes on I think that adds something magical you can't fake.
So... My pitch to the Homestuck video was that it would be funny to work on it just once per year. To record one segment, say "That's it for 12 months", and then come back around to it. And when I was making the iCarly and Victorious videos I actually recorded a few minutes of the video! I think it was two segments in total. But then I had a bunch of personal stuff happen and my work drive has been much lower, so any "back burner" video hasn't gotten much attention since then.
Now that the iCarly mini-series is done with, I want to focus on some short one-off videos I can make before April. But once that's done with, I would REALLY love to start work on a few more long-term projects which will take months or years to finish. I think returning to work on the Homestuck video, to at least get the first 20-30 minutes done, would be a great idea this summer.
Now, if you want to know my pitch for that video, here it is. The video is not a recap of the creative history of the franchise. I do not get into drama, community hell, lawsuits, or other YouTubers. My idea is this: you always hear about Homestuck as an outsider but you never hear about the actual content. Most franchises on Earth I know something about, even and especially if I've never been interested in them. I can tell you a bunch of facts about wrestling and MLP and the Fast and the Furious simply through cultural osmosis and having friends who are into those things.
I can't tell you the plot of Homestuck, who the characters are, what the themes are, nothing. I've known a lot of people who were into Homestuck but nothing about the series!
So I thought it would thus be funny to make a video about a bunch of people who know nothing about the series starting from the beginning and giving their reactions, even if it's been years since it all started. I call this part of the video the "Homestuck Book Club." So the next step is me picking out the members (who all have to have no history with it) and making sort of a podcast setup. We'd then read and record every six months or so, IDK.
This is why the video has been stuck in production hell! Everyone who wants to work on it and messages me about it already knows the franchise. I don't want spoilers, I don't want people writing for the video who get it already. I want to capture the "what the fuck is this" energy of three dudes just getting in the middle of it.
Also, I think that I really like the theme of the video capturing our lives as they go by, capturing us aging and changing. If you came back from the future and told me this video comes out in five years, I'd say great. If you told me it comes out in ten years, I'd say awesome. Until then, the latest edit will always be on Patreon, even if you have to dig a little.
