Shout out to the girlie checking me out who didn’t know what the fuck the vegetables I was buying were and struggled for like two minutes after I told her what they were before eventuallly ringing them up as “green onions”

Well these were pretty tasty!

The first one is just simple veggies (bell pepper and eggplant) with rice and instant miso soup and was very easy and quick to make.

The chicken shoyu ramen were quite involved compared to what I'm usually doing (I did things for it on 3 separate days, but making the soup stock from scratch was by far the most work), that's definitely not something I can make often (still have plenty of leftovers though, so it was well worth it). But it's really delicious and absolutely no comparison to instant ramen! I've never had proper ramen before, but my sister said it came pretty close to what she recently had in a restaurant, so I guess it was pretty good for my first try! 😃 I used mie noodles since I couldn't get real ramen noodles, which wasn't ideal but worked ok. The toppings worked really well together, I'd happily combine these again; these were roasted chicken thighs and bacon, ajitama (marinated egg), bean sprouts, nori and green onion. I'm surprised I liked the ajitama, but I marinated it for only 6 hours because I didn't know if I'd like them in the first place, so I wanted to start slowly. I think I like them this way, but maybe I'll try marinating them for longer next time just to see how strong the taste gets. I'm generally relatively sensitive to strong tastes, so some things aren't my thing and I like to be careful with new things. 😂

That said, no one warns you about the really weird smell of the soaked kombu and shiitake, so if you make this yourself don't worry about that! It will go away as the soup stock finishes!

But all in all, I can really recommend home made ramen! Please feel encouraged to try it!

yk…for a long time..I thought cucumbers and pickles were two different things…like..I thought pickles were just pickles and I didn’t realise they were called “pickles” because they were literally pickled, I just thought pickles and cucumbers were cousins and I didn’t realise that pickles are actually cucumbers, but they just put them in brine and got them pickled, which is the reason why they called them pickles…😭🤦🏻‍♀️

“You bought six jars of spaghetti sauce?” Buck asked, staring at the pile of groceries laid out on the kitchen island.

Tommy smiled, very proud of himself. “They were buy one get one free.”

“Right. And you got six, because?”

“Because the guy restocking the shelves said the sale would end today. I don't know when they'll go back on sale, and you're always looking at the flyers that come in the mail to see the deals.” He picked up one of the jars. “This was a deal.”

Buck nodded. “I do love a good deal. It- It just seems like when you buy so many at once, it kind of adds up anyway. Plus, I've always made homemade sauce.”

Tommy began unloading the final bag. “I know you do, and it takes forever. This is going to save so much time, Evan.”

“You make a compelling argument.”

Buck continued looking everything over. Three cans of green beans, a family size bag of cinnamon cereal, baking chocolate, three different kinds of flour, two half gallons of milk, one very small can of beanie weenies, taco seasoning, and two 24 count cases of green, and only green, gatorade.

There was plenty more mixed in, but there was one glaring thing missing.

“Hey, Babe?”

Tommy turned from where he was standing at the pantry, putting away the six pack of canned split pea soup. “Mhm?”

“You didn't buy any pasta.”

“Why would I get pasta?” Tommy asked.

Buck closed his eyes, taking a deep breath. “For the six jars of spaghetti sauce you bought.”

“You're not even eating pasta right now, Evan.”

Another deep breath. He should really start going to yoga. “Ignoring the fact you can get low carb pasta, why did you buy six jars of sauce if we're not eating pasta?”

“For when we do eat pasta,” Tommy replied as though it should be obvious.

Buck pushed himself away from the counter, walking closer to Tommy. “Tommy, Honey,” he started, bringing his hands to Tommy's face, “I love you, I really do, but this might be how I die for a second time.”

Tommy eyebrows furrowed. He wrapped his hands around Buck's wrists and pulled them back far enough to speak. “What are you talking about?”

“This,” he said, nodding back toward the groceries, “makes no sense to my brain. Have you ever made a grocery list before?”

“I had a grocery list!” he defended, letting go of Buck's wrists to pull the list from his back pocket. He handed it to Buck, who looked even more dismayed as he read it over.

“I think I'm gonna have an aneurysm.”

Tommy rolled his eyes playfully, heading back to the island to grab more groceries. “You're being very dramatic. I got everything on that list.”

“The list consists of five items!” Buck exclaimed. “Three of which are ineligible!”

Tommy came and stood behind Buck, peering over his shoulder. “Which three?”

As Buck pointed, Tommy began to read them off one by one.

“Chickpeas.”

“Why do we need chickpeas?”

“In case I want hummus.”

“You know it takes more than chickpeas to make hummus, right?”

Tommy glanced over at him. “I do now.”

Buck sighed. “What's this one?” he asked, pointing to the second item.

“Onion powder.”

“Okay, but we already have onion powder here.”

“And now we won't run out for a really long time.”

Moving on, Buck pointed to the last item.

“Meat.”

That's when Buck turned, pressing the list against Tommy's chest for him to take. “You didn't get any meat, Tommy!”

“Yes I did!” Tommy reached over and picked up an item, holding it out for Buck to see. “I got canned ham.”

“Canned ha- Tommy, my head is gonna explode,” Buck replied, pressing his fingers against his temple.

Tommy simply smiled at him, leaning in and giving him a peck on the lips. “You're so cute.”

“You're never going shopping again,” Buck decided. “Ever. I- I'll take over grocery shopping full time.”

“Evan, I go grocery shopping to decompress. You can't take that from me.”

“Your decompression is gonna be the reason I start taking blood pressure medication.”

Tommy placed the can of ham back on the counter and moved closer to Buck, wrapping his arms around his waist. “What if we go together next time?” he asked. As Buck's arms drifted over his shoulders, Tommy began swaying them gently back and forth as though they were dancing along to music. “I can show you my method firsthand, so you understand it better.”

Buck thought it over for a few seconds. “Can I bring an AED with us in case you need to restart my heart?”

Tommy nodded. “We could even pick up Jee on the way, for emotional support.”

“I don't know if I could subject her to this.”

“Christopher then?”

“Yeah,” Buck agreed. “Yeah, that'd be good.”

Tommy kissed him again, Buck sighing into it. One thing Tommy's kisses could always do is melt Buck's tension away, even if he was the one causing it.

“Why don't you go relax?” Tommy suggested once they parted. “I'll finish putting everything away and start dinner.”

“Okay,” Buck agreed. “What are you gonna make?”

Tommy looked around at all the random things he'd purchased. “How does canned ham with chickpeas and gatorade sound?”

Buck pursed his lips together. “Yeah, I'm gonna order food,” he replied, giving Tommy a pat on the ass before walking away.

Kon hovers an inch above the fire escape, hesitating. He’s already been here for three minutes, trying to work up the nerve to knock. 

But he’s just being a bother, isn’t he? Jason doesn’t want him here. He’s fine with having him around sometimes, sure, but Tim is always there. 

It’s Jason and Tim, and Kon. 

Just because they get along, had like, one actual real conversation and they all took a nap on his couch? That doesn’t mean that he wants to let Kon mope around his apartment.

Even though Kon kinda wants to see him.

He should leave. It’s ridiculously late anyways, so ridiculously late that it’s actually ridiculously early, and Jason’s probably falling asleep, probably has his mouth hanging just a tiny bit open and his head nuzzled into his pillow the way he nuzzled into Kon and his heart does a soft little squeeze in his chest and why is he still here he’s just been floating out here like an idiot he needs to leave—

The blinds on the other end of the window he’s staring at pull up, and Jason looks at him through the glass, unnaturally bright green eyes dancing with something amused. 

Jason’s thick, calloused fingers pop the lock on the window and slide it open, and Kon’s stomach goes tight.

“You gonna hang out there until the sun comes up?” 

A smirk begins to crawl across Jason’s lips as he leans his palms on the windowsill.

Kon feels his face go warm as his eyes drop down at the fire escape. He floats down far enough to toe at the metal, rubbing at his arm.

“Nah, man, sorry. I was just— looking for Tim, but he’s not here, so. Yeah, it’s cool, I’ll see you—”

“Kon.”

Kon’s eyes flicker up and snag on the frown on Jason’s lips. 

“You’ve been out here for the last five minutes. You okay?”

Kon opens his mouth to say Yeah, dude, I’m fine, don’t sweat it, I’ll see you later, but nothing makes it out. He ends up just sort of floating there, saying nothing, for a solid five seconds before he clamps his mouth shut. 

Then he floats up a few feet, ready to just fly off because seriously, what the fuck is he doing there? 

And then Jason’s hand wraps around his ankle, warm and steady. 

“Come inside,” he says, his tone a low, steady rumble. 

Kon hesitates, letting Jason hold him there, before he gives in to the lull of the request. 

“Okay,” he says, and his voice is quiet and contained in a way he tries not to be in front of anyone.

Jason doesn’t release him, holding his leg like the string of a balloon as he tugs him into the apartment. 

He only lets go to close the window, and Kon lets himself float down until he’s hovering just above the ground, not quite putting his feet down. 

The apartment is clean except for a few guns on the counter and some dishes in the sink. The couch is laid out into the futon, the blanket they all slept under draped across it like Jason was sitting there the whole time Kon was outside, a book open and face down next to the slightly sunken spot. 

It smells like the lemon cleaning spray that Alfred uses at the manor, and soy sauce and onions and pork from whatever Jason has on the stove, and the scent of the cologne Jason uses, warm and sweet and spicy, and at the bottom of all of it, it smells like Jason himself, that warm human smell that Kon doesn’t realize he’s looking for until he finds it.

“What are you doing up?” Jason asks, walking to the sink and turning on the tap.

“What are you doing up?” Kon asks back, still hovering in the space between Jason’s couch and the little wooden dining table he has set up in the corner.

The question didn’t come out as confrontationally as he thinks it does, but he still blushes. 

God, what’s wrong with him?

“Sorry, I’m — that was rude.” Kon shifts his weight from one foot to the other in the air.

Jason gives him a shrug. “S’alright, I get it. Bad day?”

“Yeah,” Kon mumbles.

Somehow, the look that Jason turns and gives him makes him feel even more self-conscious than he already does.

“Dads, huh?” Jason asks, raising an eyebrow.

Kon clenches his jaw a little, so he doesn’t scowl. 

“You hungry?” Jason asks. 

Kon’s jaw loosens. 

First, the answer to that question has never been no, and the smell of sweet and salty Asian barbecue pork isn’t making him less hungry. 

But also, he thought Jason was going to ask what happened, and then he’d have to explain when he doesn’t even really have a right to be upset.

“Yeah, I could eat.”

Jason nods and turns, shutting the tap and silencing the rush of water before he grabs a dishtowel and wipes his hands. 

He glances back at Kon, then drops his eyes to the inch of space between his feet and the ground. Jason grins a little, something amused glittering in the bright green of his eyes.

“The floor isn’t lava, you know.”

Kon hesitates for a moment before lowering down slowly, letting his feet graze the floor. 

“Take a seat, I’ll grab a couple of plates.”

Kon walks to the couch, touching his feet to the hardwood on every step without allowing the ground to bear his weight. He lets himself settle on the couch where Jason was sitting so he can watch him move around the kitchen. A rush of steam plumes out of the steamer basket when he opens the lid, his feet make soft noises as his socks pad against the wood.

He tucks his knees up a little, not quite all the way against his chest, but enough to make room for Jason to sit down across from him. 

Jason places the steamer basket on the couch and hands Kon a plate, then drops three buns on it. 

“If I’d known you were coming I would’ve made some classic comfort food.” 

Kon snorts humorlessly, picking up a bun. It’s a little bouncy under his fingers, and he already knows it’s going to be fluffy and delicious before he even bites into it. 

He doesn’t think he wants to eat anything that reminds him of Ma’s kitchen right now anyways.

“Don’t sweat it, I’m already interrupting your—morning,” Kon decides after a glance at the clock on the stove.

“I wasn’t busy,” Jason says, tearing off a chunk of the bun in his hands to let the inside cool. Steam pours out of it in a puff, carrying the smell of the spices.

“Thanks,” Kon says, biting into his bun without waiting. He was right, it’s fucking delicious. The pork is moist and tender and the dough didn’t get soggy at all, and he makes a pleased noise as he rolls it over his tongue. 

“That’s a nice benefit of your genes, huh?” Jason says, blowing on his food and eyeing Kon’s lips.

Kon shrugs. He doesn’t really want to think about his genetics right now. 

“So, where do I aim?” Jason asks. 

Kon’s eyebrows furrow as he tilts his head at Jason.

“Shoulder? Head? I can steal some kryptonite bullets from B in the morning.”

Kon pauses chewing for a second, looking at the amusement in Jason’s eyes before he swallows his food. 

“Are you giving me the Clark is an Asshole special?”

Jason grins, crooked and wide and a little dangerous, and Kon’s stomach does a flip.

I feel like Likiya is a lot like Sekai in terms of being the leader that is more "behind the scenes". What would you recommend watching to see his interaction with members? (Either interaction eith one specific member *cough*Riku*cough* or more is welcome)

Oh, man, my brain is jumping 90,000 different places 😂 This is mostly going to come from CL Live's on demand programs (I am so sorry to anyone who doesn't have CL Live premium)

I would say Riku (we all know why) and Ryu are the members that will pop up the most in this list.

Bonus note - I genuinely wonder if Riku and Kenta have ADHD and I've noticed Likiya is really good at wrangling them. He seems to take their eccentricities with humor instead of getting frustrated at them, which after hearing a ex-JET teacher friend of mine talking about how his one ADHD student was treated, I greatly appreciate.

RAMPE Dorm Tasting Local Delicacies form Different Mbr's regions - Part One, Part Two [translated into English] Likiya features more in Part Two, but I really like how the members respond when he's picked for the food he gets to eat 😂 (bonus: Kazuma's reaction when he realizes what he gets to eat is So Cute)

2022 New Years Party BBQ - Video [finally translated into English, bless you, translation team 😭] This is one of the main Ryu/Likiya moments, where Likiya immediately picks Ryu as his assistant for cooking. During the 50 Questions series, Ryu said he'd want Likiya's cooking skills when asked what skill he'd want from another member, but Ryu can't cook and the translation says "my dad says I don't have what it takes to cook". Likiya picking Ryu as his assistant just feels like it means So Much with that context.

There's technically a whole series for the 2022 New Years Party, but the first several parts are more the members talking to the fans, so not including them here.

RAMP Card - Video [translated into English] Likiya, Zin, Kenta, Rui, Hokuto, Kaisei and Takuma play poker with the card set that was made. Likiya honestly takes losing with such good grace - there are days when I wonder if he loses on purpose in individual competitions, to be honest.

Kitchen Kingdom - Part 1 [untranslated] RMPG Black cooks against Gekidan Exile. It's untranslated, so I'm rolling with Vibes Alone and I've actually never finished watching the full thing, but I made it to the round where Likiya teaches Ryu how to chop green onions and, honestly, this means So Much with the same context as the BBQ party.

Six Game Lovers - Part 1, Part 2 [Part 1 is translated into English, Part 2 is not] Likiya, Ryu, Kazuma, Makoto, Takahide and Kaisei play games together. Likiya and Ryu are a team.

Zin Organizes Large Prank - Part 1 [untranslated] Once again, rolling with "Vibes, Loan Words and Whatever Subtitles Pop Up on Screen That I Get Translated" Alone. Likiya is technically in all of the parts, because once a member gets pranked, they're called in to hang out with Zin and watch the future pranks occur. Likiya's the first one pranked with Rui.

RMPG is Unleashed in an Amusement Park - Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5 [untranslated] RMPG gets to go to an amusement park and have a 2 day, 1 night trip. They're separated into the Routes, so Likiya spends most of the first two parts with Hokuto, Itsuki, Kenta, Ryu and Takahide. In Part 3, YamaSho and Kazuma organize early morning pranks and Likiya is one of the pranksters for Route A, which is greatly amusing to me. (bonus: Riku being the only one to pull off his prank without waking the victim up in advance)

Riku Wants to Make Shogo a Bento and Has Anxiety Over It - Part 1, Part 2 [untranslated] It's untranslated, so you know the drill - Vibes and Vibes Alone. I did translate a few of the in-video subtitles and discovered the Japanese word for 'Anxiety' could be translated literally as "Negative Relax". Likiya, Shohei and Zin help Riku make a bento for Shogo

RMPG Goes to the Zoo and Likiya Suffers - Part 1, Part 2, CL treats the best date competition as a different thing, but I do not, Part 3, Part 4 [untranslated] It's untranslated so I can't verify if Team Likiya got assigned to clean the lion habitat and elephant house as a punishment or not, but, man, does it feel like a punishment (especially compared to the PR team 🤣) Likiya's on a team with Riku, Itsuki, Shohei and YamaSho

I Ended Up Visiting A Restaurant Which I Believe Would Be The Perfect Place For An ObeyMe! Collab! 😍

So I ended up driving past this place called Burgertory, I immediately loved the word play and the whole video so I checked it out and omg! It's so beautiful! 😍 personally I believe that it's definitely a place you will find in the Devildom so let me take you around. Now I'm not sure whether Burgertory is a thing outside of Australia but you can always Google it and see if there's one in your country.

So lets take a look at the menu 🥰

You see what I mean!?! The have a burger each based on the 7 deadly sins!!! It's so perfect! 😍 Ahem...let's move on~

(quick disclaimer, all burger images excluding the Envy one are not mine they are from their Instagram page because I could not buy and eat 7 different burgers...they would go to waste...)

First off! The Pride Burger! Pride consists off a premium beef patty, American cheese, pride relish, Purity mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, in a milk bun.

Second! We got The Greed Burger! Greed consists off a fried chicken patty dipped in Carolina Reaper sauce, American slaw, purity mayo, in a charcoal infused bun.

Third! We have The Envy Burger! which is the one I actually got, it consists off a plant-based patty, vegan cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, envy mayo, pride relish, mustard, in a green bun. So it's vegan if you didn't make sense of that already, personally I really don't like the taste of a plant burger patty so I asked if they could do chicken for me instead and the employee was so kind to do so for me 🥰 (I needed to get Envy! For my darling Leviathan 😍).

Fourth! We got The Wrath Burger! This this is spicy as hell apparently 😂, it consists off a premium beef patty, Mac n Cheese patty, bacon, American cheese, Jalapenos, tomato, red onion, wicked hot sauce & sinner sauce, in a charcoal infused bun.

Fifth on the list! The Lust Burger! Lust has to be my second favourite and I will definitely try it next time, it consists off a Southern fried chicken, American slaw, pickles, purity mayo, in a milk bun.

Sixth! We got The Gluttony Burger! Holy Shoulder's Of Simeon that thing looks crazy 😱, it consists off a Southern fried chicken, premium beef patty, American cheese, caramelised onion, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, purity mayo, in a charcoal infused bun.

Seventh but not least! The Sloth Burger! It consists off 2x premium smashed beef patties, 2x American cheese, Jalapenos, pickles, lettuce, tomato, red onion, Pride relish, mustard, in a milk bun.

They also have special menu items from time to time and one of those was the ✨Juicy Lucifer Burger✨ it's sound funny idk 😂 ✨juicy✨...ahem...it consists off a beef patty, strips of bacon, maple syrup, caramelized onions, American cheese, Sinner sauce in a brioche bun.

And this was the place! If you guys want me to cover the Archangel Burgers as well let me know and I will definitely do that 😊💕

Like most people, I love cheeseburgers. I just don’t make them that often. With today being #NationalCheeseburgerDay, I wanted to participate as it’d been a couple years since I last made one. I racked my brain trying to think of what all I wanted to do, and it really didn’t come to me until about 5:30 AM. I figured that I’d keep it somewhat simple and celebrate two things that I love on my burgers the most…bbq sauce and bacon.

I remembered that my good friend Andre Burns of the World Famous Burns BBQ family here in Houston, had previously brought me some of his new smoked beef sausage that he wanted me to try. I took one whiff of it and immediately decided that that along with some lean ground beef would be a perfect foundation to build upon.

So this is my Texas Smokehouse BBQ Bacon Double Cheeseburger topped with fresh green leaf lettuce, sliced tomatoes, red onions, melted cheese, pickle chips, homemade candied jalapeño bacon jam and bacon. I slathered it with some additional maple bacon bbq sauce and I’m serving it with some beer battered onion rings. I just had french fries a few days ago and I’m “fried” out. 😂😂😂

SN: And before anybody asks, there’s no way I’m eating this whole thing. 😂😂😂I just stacked it for the picture. One of these patties is coming off. Also, if you’re in the Houston area, holla at Dre and get your hands on some of the sausage. The flavor and the aroma is incredible. Just reach out to him and tell him I sent ya!

Mugshot Monday - "Olive Green Vego Garden Coffee Mug" with Ethiopia Light Roast by Peace Coffee

It's been drizzling off and on all morning on this Memorial Day in Minneapolis, but that's not preventing us from getting some gardening done!

We're aerating the yard, putting down new grass seed, and weeding.

And weeding. And weeding. 😭 Sooo many weeds.

We're also putting the finishing touches on our NEW Vego Garden 17" tall Metal Raised Garden Bed.

Our 16YO Milo and I put it together on Saturday when it wasn't raining. I actually put him in charge of figuring out how to build the thing. He did awesome.

The garden bed comes in modular pieces which means you can make just the right size for your yard. We built ours to be 2.5' x 9.5'.

When we bought this garden bed, I couldn't help myself from also adding a Vego Garden coffee mug (of course!) And it's looks just like the garden bed we bought. 😂

Milo had a little bit of the rubberized lining left over that you install on the top of the steel sides. He decided he'd make my mug even more authentic by installing it on the mug, too! I love it.

We moved the new bed to where we wanted the garden to be and then filled it up with lots of sticks and leaves and grass clippings, and then finally installed some top soil.

We like it so much, we just bought another one to sit right next to it! Can't wait to plant tomatoes, carrots, herbs, onions, and more.

Fries with sausage gravy, broccoli and cheese casserole, watermelon, apples with peanut butter, a carnitas taco with pickled onions and green sauce, my moms lasagna, a double double, chicken mole enchiladas….chicken fried steak. A medium Dallas filet, key lime pie, cheesecake. An ICE cold can of cherry coke…Devils Backbone lime margarita smash. That might be it. Too much? 😂

10. What's something you're excited for?

It's my birthday tomorrow! It's not really exciting in and of itself as I don't have any plans, as such, but I'm posting a chapter of BTTW that I really hope folks will enjoy, and I'm going to watch films and answer comments that are waiting on chapter 22, so that's going to be nice! I'm looking forward to see what folks have to say about this new chapter!

13. What's your comfort food?

Ooooh my days, so many things... steamed mussels in garlic butter with brown bread, sausage and mash with roasted onions and gravy, pumpkin and sweet potato soup with grated gouda, my grandma's homemade lasagne, spicy pork donburi with kimchi, steak and stilton pie with buttered potatoes and green beans, pan fried oyster mushrooms with polenta and parmesan... listen, I like food, okay 😂
