I can't NOT give you a jaytimkon snippet for Halloween. I know what you're looking for in the candy bowl 😂 SOOOOO here's the beginning of the next chapter of Bad Days!! I really want to get it posted soon but I have to write smut for it and that always takes me forever to do 😂😂😂

Kon hovers an inch above the fire escape, hesitating. He’s already been here for three minutes, trying to work up the nerve to knock. 

But he’s just being a bother, isn’t he? Jason doesn’t want him here. He’s fine with having him around sometimes, sure, but Tim is always there. 

It’s Jason and Tim, and Kon. 

Just because they get along, had like, one actual real conversation and they all took a nap on his couch? That doesn’t mean that he wants to let Kon mope around his apartment.

Even though Kon kinda wants to see him.

He should leave. It’s ridiculously late anyways, so ridiculously late that it’s actually ridiculously early, and Jason’s probably falling asleep, probably has his mouth hanging just a tiny bit open and his head nuzzled into his pillow the way he nuzzled into Kon and his heart does a soft little squeeze in his chest and why is he still here he’s just been floating out here like an idiot he needs to leave—

The blinds on the other end of the window he’s staring at pull up, and Jason looks at him through the glass, unnaturally bright green eyes dancing with something amused. 

Jason’s thick, calloused fingers pop the lock on the window and slide it open, and Kon’s stomach goes tight.

“You gonna hang out there until the sun comes up?” 

A smirk begins to crawl across Jason’s lips as he leans his palms on the windowsill.

Kon feels his face go warm as his eyes drop down at the fire escape. He floats down far enough to toe at the metal, rubbing at his arm.

“Nah, man, sorry. I was just— looking for Tim, but he’s not here, so. Yeah, it’s cool, I’ll see you—”

“Kon.”

Kon’s eyes flicker up and snag on the frown on Jason’s lips. 

“You’ve been out here for the last five minutes. You okay?”

Kon opens his mouth to say Yeah, dude, I’m fine, don’t sweat it, I’ll see you later, but nothing makes it out. He ends up just sort of floating there, saying nothing, for a solid five seconds before he clamps his mouth shut. 

Then he floats up a few feet, ready to just fly off because seriously, what the fuck is he doing there? 

And then Jason’s hand wraps around his ankle, warm and steady. 

“Come inside,” he says, his tone a low, steady rumble. 

Kon hesitates, letting Jason hold him there, before he gives in to the lull of the request. 

“Okay,” he says, and his voice is quiet and contained in a way he tries not to be in front of anyone.

Jason doesn’t release him, holding his leg like the string of a balloon as he tugs him into the apartment. 

He only lets go to close the window, and Kon lets himself float down until he’s hovering just above the ground, not quite putting his feet down. 

The apartment is clean except for a few guns on the counter and some dishes in the sink. The couch is laid out into the futon, the blanket they all slept under draped across it like Jason was sitting there the whole time Kon was outside, a book open and face down next to the slightly sunken spot. 

It smells like the lemon cleaning spray that Alfred uses at the manor, and soy sauce and onions and pork from whatever Jason has on the stove, and the scent of the cologne Jason uses, warm and sweet and spicy, and at the bottom of all of it, it smells like Jason himself, that warm human smell that Kon doesn’t realize he’s looking for until he finds it.

“What are you doing up?” Jason asks, walking to the sink and turning on the tap.

“What are you doing up?” Kon asks back, still hovering in the space between Jason’s couch and the little wooden dining table he has set up in the corner.

The question didn’t come out as confrontationally as he thinks it does, but he still blushes. 

God, what’s wrong with him?

“Sorry, I’m — that was rude.” Kon shifts his weight from one foot to the other in the air.

Jason gives him a shrug. “S’alright, I get it. Bad day?”

“Yeah,” Kon mumbles.

Somehow, the look that Jason turns and gives him makes him feel even more self-conscious than he already does.

“Dads, huh?” Jason asks, raising an eyebrow.

Kon clenches his jaw a little, so he doesn’t scowl. 

“You hungry?” Jason asks. 

Kon’s jaw loosens. 

First, the answer to that question has never been no, and the smell of sweet and salty Asian barbecue pork isn’t making him less hungry. 

But also, he thought Jason was going to ask what happened, and then he’d have to explain when he doesn’t even really have a right to be upset.

“Yeah, I could eat.”

Jason nods and turns, shutting the tap and silencing the rush of water before he grabs a dishtowel and wipes his hands. 

He glances back at Kon, then drops his eyes to the inch of space between his feet and the ground. Jason grins a little, something amused glittering in the bright green of his eyes.

“The floor isn’t lava, you know.”

Kon hesitates for a moment before lowering down slowly, letting his feet graze the floor. 

“Take a seat, I’ll grab a couple of plates.”

Kon walks to the couch, touching his feet to the hardwood on every step without allowing the ground to bear his weight. He lets himself settle on the couch where Jason was sitting so he can watch him move around the kitchen. A rush of steam plumes out of the steamer basket when he opens the lid, his feet make soft noises as his socks pad against the wood.

He tucks his knees up a little, not quite all the way against his chest, but enough to make room for Jason to sit down across from him. 

Jason places the steamer basket on the couch and hands Kon a plate, then drops three buns on it. 

“If I’d known you were coming I would’ve made some classic comfort food.” 

Kon snorts humorlessly, picking up a bun. It’s a little bouncy under his fingers, and he already knows it’s going to be fluffy and delicious before he even bites into it. 

He doesn’t think he wants to eat anything that reminds him of Ma’s kitchen right now anyways.

“Don’t sweat it, I’m already interrupting your—morning,” Kon decides after a glance at the clock on the stove.

“I wasn’t busy,” Jason says, tearing off a chunk of the bun in his hands to let the inside cool. Steam pours out of it in a puff, carrying the smell of the spices.

“Thanks,” Kon says, biting into his bun without waiting. He was right, it’s fucking delicious. The pork is moist and tender and the dough didn’t get soggy at all, and he makes a pleased noise as he rolls it over his tongue. 

“That’s a nice benefit of your genes, huh?” Jason says, blowing on his food and eyeing Kon’s lips.

Kon shrugs. He doesn’t really want to think about his genetics right now. 

“So, where do I aim?” Jason asks. 

Kon’s eyebrows furrow as he tilts his head at Jason.

“Shoulder? Head? I can steal some kryptonite bullets from B in the morning.”

Kon pauses chewing for a second, looking at the amusement in Jason’s eyes before he swallows his food. 

“Are you giving me the Clark is an Asshole special?”

Jason grins, crooked and wide and a little dangerous, and Kon’s stomach does a flip.

Random question: What are your characters' favourite snacks? Like, if they could eat anything, what would they choose? And do they prefer chocolate, or fruity gummies/snacks? 🐆

This is such a cute ask! Honestly never given this much of a thought, so this is a on the fly response!

Bella: Sour anything. Very much the one who likes sour gummy worms and those zesty candies that make people do the 😵‍💫 face

Leo: snickers and kit kats are his DOWNFALL. Honestly anything chocolate on top of chocolate.

Wendy: She's a goner for fruity flavors. Raspberries, pineapple, all the stuff. Although I think she likes pastries with fruits more than snacks.

Max: Green apple chewy candy, which NEVER sits well with him if he eats more than five, but that will not stop him from buying the bag.

Vince: I think Vin actually likes "complicated" desserts over snacks so much more. Sure, you'll see him munching on m&m's (crispy rice ones tho), but he'll give up anything for tiramisu or apple pie. Specially those fried mini apple pies from mcdonald's? Definitely his vibe.

Luke: Doesn't actually like sweet snacks. He's a chips type of guy. If he has to pick a sweet snack it'd be peanuts covered on something or strawberries with chocolate. Artificial strawberry is his favorite flavor when it comes to sweet junk food.

Jonah: Really doesn't snack on junk, its just not his style? You'll find him munching on baby carrots or celery. He actually is one of those people who buy salads in a cup!

This has left you fearful in this current lifetime. A fear that causes you to hide showing others who you really are due to not wanting to be judged.

You may have the gift of clairvoyance, or may be a healer or energy worker. You were a sweet person then and still remains to be so in this current life. You may fear telling or showing people your gifts or talents, of who you really are.

Chances are, you were accused of witchcraft in a precious lifetime and you’re currently learning in this now, that it’s okay to be who you are. To show that you can do. Yes, you can be judged. However, whether you be you or live your life how others want you to, people are still going to talk. People are still going to judge. People are still going to try to make you feel that you’re doing wrong, so you might as well be you, unapologetically. You’ve come back to Earth to learn to free yourself of this fear. Times are different and healers are often admired then hunted.

I think some of y’all have been wanting to turn dreams into reality lately but you’re holding yourself back with doubts. Overthinking things. Bullying / Gaslighting oneself. Some of you may want to open a business that allows you to use your gifts, but are unsure if that’s the path to take.

In a previous life, you were a healer, with very strong healing abilities. You may be having dreams where you remember this life but shrug it off, gaslighting yourself into believing that you’re not ready or not good enough, etc. It’s time to stop that.

Also, some of you may be in a codependent relationship that could be leaving you stagnant as well. Your denial is causing you to stay in a karmic connection that could cause further delay. Believe in yourself P3. You don’t need anyone and have the power/ strength to stand on your own. Find that inner strength P3.

You will never know what you can do until you try. And if you’re waiting for the perfect opportunity to give it a chance, then you’ll never be ready. It’s okay to be scared. But don’t let your fear stop you from trying. Let your work speak for itself. You just have to take the first step. You’re in competition with no one but yourself, so move as slow as you would like. I love the saying, “Slow and steady wins the race.” Success will come, just stay in your lane and keep persevering.

Also, just a side note. The fact that some, if not all, of you picked this pile shows that you’re meant to have a successful business doing this. You have a passion and a calling for this. Don’t let anything stand in your way and go for it! Success is technically guaranteed. Also, the more you work on yourself, and tackle your dreams, the more you’re likely to meet up with people that are part of your soul family, people meant to help you along your journey. As you work on yourself, remember to be patient and enjoy the process.

It all went wrong right before Tim had his coffee, because that was always when everything went wrong. He had just picked it up off the counter, rolling his eyes at the name on the cup. Jim. He lifted it to take his first sip and turned— Broad shoulders, scar on the neck, white streak in the hair, angry green eyes—check, check, check. And check.  “Jason.” Tim’s voice cracked mortifyingly on the word. “Hi,” he added, before he finally managed to force his mouth shut. One thick eyebrow raised at him. “What's up?” he asked delicately. He didn’t want to have a very public interaction with Jason here, because they would draw attention and someone would realize he wasn’t Jim, but Tim, Tim Wayne, and then this would be in a tabloid. But apparently, Jason wasn’t interested in having a very public interaction. Apparently he wasn’t interested in having any sort of interaction with him at all. He didn’t know why he expected Jason to resume talking to him now. Being ignored by Jason was easy. Seeing his anger, the way it twisted in his eyes when they used to be pliant and soft, felt worse. Tim just sighed, deflating as the air left him. “Right.” It had been for the best, he reminded himself. “I’ve gotta go.” “As always,” Jason drawled. Tim’s eyes snapped back to Jason’s, and he looked vicious, but a little hurt under it.

basically, the premise is that they meet in college and then start dating, and then they break up because Jason knows that Tim is lying to him about why he's constantly disappearing in the middle of dates, etc. etc. He basically tells Tim the last time that he can either tell him why he's leaving in the middle of the date, or he can not come back. So he doesn't come back. Then Red Hood and Red Robin start hooking up because both of them are looking for outlets, and it's a casual/antagonistic thing until Red Hood ends up taking Red Robin to one of his safehouses after an injury... that Tim had been to for a date with Jason. And of course from there it all spirals! 💚

and now for your snippet of Bad Days. A nice long one for being so patient with me:

“I don’t even know why you and Tim like this crap,” Jason grumbles as he tosses the controller on the coffee table.  “It’s more fun when you’re evenly matched. You should see Tim play against Bart, he loses his shit.”  “Tim says he cheats,” Jason mutters as he turns a suspicious eye on Kon.  “Only if having superpowers you can’t shut off is considered cheating.”  Jason narrows his eyes at Kon. “You’d know if I was using my TTK on you, Jason.” “Would I?” “Oh... yeah, I guess not. I don’t think I’ve ever used it on you.”  Jason’s face goes a little surprised, and Kon’s stomach sinks. “You don’t think?” “I… can’t always control it. Not like, I can’t get it to work or anything, but sometimes it has a mind of its own when I’m relaxed. Especially when I’m sleeping.” “What does it feel like?”  “I don’t actually know. Tim says it feels like a hand sometimes, though.”  “Show me?” Kon’s eyebrows shoot up for a moment, before he forces them back down.  “Oh, uh—” Kon takes a second to put down the controller, then he places his hand on Jason's forearm. For a split second, he isn’t sure what he plans to do, but he relaxes the part of him that has his power held back. It’s a little like noticing his jaw is clenched and forcing the muscle to loosen. In the second he relaxes his hold, he feels his TTK reach out, and he watches as Jason’s face turns towards Kon, slowly, like he’s being tilted by a hand on his chin. “Oh,” Jason says softly, and Kon feels a flare of heat across his cheeks.

Also, I was scrolling through your OC asks a while ago, and saw a post where you said that Leo and Vince have a bread-making 'thing'... This thought has not left my brain in weeks, I love the idea of these boys standing around kneading dough. How did this come to be a 'thing'? 🐆

It goes like this. Somewhere, early years of the football team, back when Luke still lived in his old apartment and Leo had a crush on Vince:

Luke: Come over, Vin's cooking and we're doing a Godfather marathon.

Leo put down his phone, then stared at the ceiling. Watching the Godfather trilogy with two history majors who crushed on Al Pacino sounded like hell, but Vince cooking... That was intriguing. He had eaten stuff Vince brought to the team before, but Leo wasn't entirely sure he believed those were made by the guy.

He didn't think Vince was lying, not really, but maybe exaggerating his participation?

Regardless, just finding out if Vin could actually cook or not sounded better than sitting in his shitty dorm and on and off texting Jonah. Jon was a terrible texter, let it be known.

Leo: Sure, do i need to bring anything?

Luke: nah. door will be unlocked, let urself in. Imma go buy us more booze.

By the time he arrived to Luke's apartment - Leo's dorm building was a good one hour walking, twenty minutes by bus away -, Vince was already in the kitchen. Whatever the blonde expected to see, it certainly wasn't the linebacker with his sleeves rolled up and his hands sticky with a gooey mix of flour and eggs.

"Uh- Is this supposed to look like this?" Leo carefully entered the kitchen, not wanting to startle Vince. The other man looked up, cheeks all red from moving around and a bright smile on.

He had such a pretty smile, Leo mused, letting himself soak in the warm sensation Vince always gave him.

"Hey kid, help me here. Tie my hair?"

"Not a fucking kid," Leo scoffed, but walked closer and then scoffed as he noticed Vince's black hairband was around his wrist, but there as no way to remove it without getting it caked in the flour mixture covering Vin's hands.

He removed it, then moved to the sink to wash off the hair tie, "what are you cooking?"

"Baking," Vince corrected, leaning slightly so Leo could bunch up his curls into a knot and tie them, "just bread."

"Oh..." Leo raised his eyebrows. He knew how to cook plenty by himself, but baking had always been beyond his skillset. It just sounded daunting, "have you been baking for long?"

"I helped my mom back home," Vince shrugged, "it's really not that hard, bake with your heart."

Leo snorted at that, "I don't think doing this by heart works with bak-ING!" He all but squealed as Vince grabbed his wrist, with his dirty hands, and shoved Leo towards the mess, planting the blonde's hands in the little flour volcano he had created all over Luke's counter.

"Vin!"

"Chill," the man shrugged, moving to stand side by side with him, "don't overthink it, its just bread. It needs flour, yeast, salt, egg, oil and some love."

"Love," Leo raised his eyebrows, all skeptical and Vince nodded, looking serious.

"Yeah, bake this shit with bad vibes and you can scale and measure all you want, its not gonna rise," he said, sounding genuine, "now start mixing it in while I heat up the water."
