Platforms I started off as a PC Player when I was around 4-5 years old, starting with Sims games and a lot of game websites (Friv FTW!!), but as I got older (around fifth grade), I got my own phone! So I was a mobile player for a LONGGG while (esp. since we've never had the money to buy me a gaming laptop), and I'd play a lot of CoD mobile, Minecraft, Genshin impact, and Ark mobile (ik theres more but idr them 🧍‍♂️), It wasn't until last year that I got my gaming laptop AND Xbox Series S, So i've been primarily PC Player and occasionally a Console Player

Genres Idk tbh 😭 I never really keep track of the genres I play, but I guess Action, Adventure/Survival and Simulation games? I also really enjoy games with story (despite me being shit at remembering story and having a terrible attention span) and games that are endless/have an ending but let you keep playing after the end (idk what genre that'd be but ye)

I'm using it because brain got stuck on a random thing: while I was in my phase of gorging on CoD fanfics, I found interesting how different fans interpreted the in-universe reasons for Isaac's appearance.

He clearly cares a lot about how he appears. He styles his hair in a certain way, he wears eyeliner (red eyeliner that matches his hair even, which implies he put thought into the best color), he wears impractical but stylish high heels, and in the MF manga he's shown having long nails: while I interpret this as him striving to imitate vampire claws, it still would take a lot of manteinance, and he even hides them under his gloves. I have also pointed out that in PtR his uniform is kept more prim and proper than Hector's, weirdly enough. And with the exception of his uniform for obvious reasons, Isaac still puts care in his appearance after going insane with the Curse.

But what does it say about him?

Some fans seems to simply think he's kind of a peacock. He's vain, he's flamboyant, he knows he's the hot stuff, maybe he's really trying his hardest to hit on Hector lmao. It fits with his arrogant attitude. Maybe he's even a bit of a perfectionist/tryhard: he doesn't need to waste time putting on eyeliner, but damnit, he wants to look his best to work. A king, if you ask me.

Others seem to think it's a sad form of overcompensation. Isaac is not particularly pretty, especially compared to the very beautiful Hector. He has traits that others might see as ugly, like slanted eyes, a large mouth and a big nose. Even worse, while silver hair is obviously unnatural but can be seen as fascinating, red hair in that era was 100% seen as the mark of the devil - and Isaac's red is bright, attracts even more attention. It's not impossible that Isaac was abused for how he looked like, and has some sort of complex about it. In fact, we all know Isaac is the incarnation of the inferiority superiority complex: he has an arrogant, cocky attitude, but he's also extremely insecure about himself, his skills, and being seen as second best/not good enough. So maybe he spent most of his childhood hiding and being ashamed of himself, but now in the place where he truly belongs he has rebounded in the opposite direction: oh, you think I'm unsightly? Have all of me in glorious display! You think my hair marks me as a demon to extirpate? Why yes, I am a demon, and I'm not letting you forget it!

With this mentality, no wonder he'd cover himself head to toe in demonic tattoos that prove his utter loyalty to Dracula, and no wonder that, after he dies, he lets his clothes rot off his back to show even more of his self. He has nothing to hide anymore.

And he still wants to hit on Hector, obviously :P

he's British in mw09 and American in codm iirc but they're two separate canons and it's all very silly

in mw09 he's one of the primary player characters, faceless and voiceless per tradition. he was a sergeant in 141 under Soap, worked a bunch of ops with him and a few with Ghost and a couple with Price. you can find a list on the wiki

Life in the Future

Accepting aromanticism and asexuality was very easy. It took very little time to accept these as part of my identity, and there were no reluctance or hesitation when I arrived at this point. It was because these words really resonated with me, embodied my unconscious that I did not even notice when I was a child.

But what comes after acceptance? What comes after the euphoria and relief and liberation and satisfaction? What will life become now, when it cannot follow the linear path society suggests - dating, marriage, sex, children, and a lifelong companionship?

I think what led me to accept my aromanticism and asexuality faster was that deep down, I felt that life without marriage and children and other things was what has always felt comfortable.

So when I started to think about what my life will be like in the future now that I know I do not like forming romantic or sexual relationships, I started to look forward to that day. I just planned what I wanted to do.

When I go to college, I'll find a boarding house to live in. I don't like heavy, sweet, and greasy foods in the morning so I'll eat bread with cheese fillings for the most part. I'll buy a good notebook with black designs and a friction pen to write notes in Psychology with. If that's too laborious for me, I'd type on my laptop or write on my tablet with a stylus. Maybe I'd have friends or maybe I won't, but I'll hang out in the library or at a cafe with danmei music blasting in my earphones to do my work, while eating cake or drinking milk tea.

I'll read some good novels and webtoons on my freetime. Finally buy their merch. Finally learn Chinese and Korean to read time (lmao can I??). Make some online friends to geek out about these masterpieces.

Download MMORPG and RPG games again. Create a strong and OP character. Maybe experience the pay2win life. Finally try out Mobile Legends, COD, etc.

At night, I'd like to cook for myself: adobong kangkong, fried tofu with pork and eggplant or any egg dish. Maybe try noodles, and some Korean or Chinese cuisine that I can search up some recipes on TikTok. I'd try baking cake and making pizza.

With the time I have left, I'll learn so many things I have always wanted to learn. Kickboxing, knitting, crochet, violin, harp, dancing, singing. Maybe join an organization to learn about people from different professions: former spies, forensic science, marine biology, astrophysics, artificial intelligence, radiation biology, professional hugging, activists, etc.

I'll volunteer in an orphanage and help the community there. Visit every two weeks. Also join a queer support group. Visit my parent once every month and spoil the heck out of them with gifts.

Maybe I'll get a qpp or a close friend who lives next door that I'll hang out with or maybe I don't. I'll get a cat or a dog if they ever choose me and spoil the heck out of them as well. Cuddle them to naps. Take them for walks or travel around the neighborhood with them on a bike. Record videos of them that will be saved on a cloud.

The house will be full of pet supplies but it will be clean. Dreamcatchers and suncatchers will be put next to the windows. For added effect, the windows will have film on them. The portraits on the wall and next to the writing desks will be merchandise or role models. And then, I'll write to my hearts content.

The food I eat, the clothes I'll wear, the games I'd play, the literature I'll read, the house I'd decorate, the profession I'd have, the things I'd learn, the cause I'd fight for, the things I'll hate and like, and the things that I'll cherish. This is the best life.

COD BOPS 6: one day I'll play these games (i've heard from multiple ppl that the storylines in black ops specifically are rly good) but no opinion rn tbqh

doom: the dark ages: very weird pivot??? kinda curious about it. of all the settings they could have chosen to toss the doomguy in, medieval fantasy wasn't the one I was expecting...! art direction looked good, but still kinda gave me "this is the Christmas episode" vibes, like jazz the jackrabbit having a holiday reskin... except instead of a holiday reskin, it's medieval times... hopefully that makes sense lmao

state of decay 3: not very familiar with this series so meh... looked like any other generic zambie shooter to me, but inb4 ppl holler at me about the games bein rly good

dragon age: the veilguard: no real opinion. i played the original dragon age for like, an hour when it was newish, never finished it lol

starfield DLC: that's nice ig

fallout 76 expac/updates: that's nice ig

clair obscur: expedition 33: looks interesting? but idk if this would be a game i'd be into. it appears to be a turn-based RPG and it's based off of la belle époque era of french art/architecture, so the art design looks baller? and the monster designs look interesting. i'll have to keep an eye out.

south of midnight: now this? this one looks hella interesting. the art style is kinda weird; the cutscenes seemed to be at a lower FPS so it almost looks like stop-motion? but i couldn't tell if that was uh... purposefully or not LMAO. but other than that, the setting is really weird and interesting! almost like bayou horror combined with fantasy nonsense monsters and stuff... and i liked the dynamic of the lead character and the monster guy who was ferrying her around. gameplay looks okay, but hopefully it handles well. i might very well get this one when it comes out.

WOW: the war within: no interest in this tbh

metal gear solid: snake eater remake: looks fine? never rly got into MGS myself, but it looks nice

age of mythology retold: was not expecting this asspull tbh LMAO. for those who aren't aware, this was a game microsoft developed and released in 2002, so it's basically a remaster. but idk who was asking for it... not that it's a bad game, but it was released in a sea of other similar games at the time. maybe that's why? i feel like there's a bit of a dearth of these games for console/PC, maybe? tho tbh i feel like this style of game is way more prolific on mobile devices... at least it's not a mobile port!

perfect dark: this one was really weird... like, microsoft owns rare, but crystal dynamics is developing this? idk if this is a soft reboot or a sequel to the last game, but it looked fine? i was never into perfect dark (either on n64 or xbox) but it looks like a solid stealth action game... just not one i have much interest in atm

diablo IV: vessel of hatred: okay, so real talk: i haven't played diablo since i was a kid on a windows 95 machine lmao so i'm so far removed from Current Day diablo. but that being said, the opening trailer was pretty dope. it was nasty, uncanny body horror and it certainly held my attention. this is an expac to a game i've never played, and iirc diablo IV is online-only crap, which blows. but the art direction in this trailer was probs my favorite, just removed from the fact it's for a video game expac lmao

fable: sure looks like a fable game. i never rly got into them (this is a running theme can you tell lmao) but the trailer was charming enough, i guess.

fragpunk: now this is ANOTHER team-based FPS (or "hero shooter"), but the gimmick looked intriguing. changing the game's rules at the start of each round definitely sounds like it would keep things interesting, but i wonder how it would suss out with multiple people using abilities at once? idk, the art direct looked nice, gameplay footage looked As Expected. we'll see

so all in all? there wasn't a lot of hype for me personally because a lot of these series are either ones i've tried and didn't get into, ones i haven't played since i was a kid, or ones that i never even bothered to try. in all honesty, the newer titles were more interesting to me than most of the established franchise stuff they showed off.

however, i think there's a lot for people to get excited about if they already like some of these franchises. lots of updates to stuff, so i'm sure that there's excitement to be had for that.

the titles that ended up catching my attention/interest the most ended up being doom: the dark ages, south of midnight, s.t.a.l.k.e.r. 2, microsoft flight simulator 2024, fragpunk (morbid curiosity more than anything else tbh) and maaaaybe clair obscur.

not a total waste of time, but nothing too hype-inducing for me.

Now, if you're reading this, it's either you're lying down on the bed with your phone above your or scrolling in front of your computer. With that being said, everyone's exposed to anything techy to stay connected to the world.

I've been really bored during the quarantine, I took a rest at work and even so, I can't go back to writing due to some personal issues. This led me to the world of *drumrolls* gaming.

Yep, a person doesn't need to be a 17yr old boy to get interested, in fact, I know people older than me who are into gaming especially these days. (Even my mom who likes to play Candy Crush frozen edition) I find gaming very interesting but I wouldn't say I'm in the extent of a 'gamer' or so, I just got really addicted to this game called 'Valorant' these days.

Even before, I did try to play games be it on PC or mobile and I would like to share some of it and why I liked it.

There's this game called, 'Life Is Strange' and I got so hooked into it! Aside from the fact that it's a graphic adventure game (which doesn't require a lot of tactics like FPS) this game was so heavy in terms of the story and how the emotions were incorporated to each character got me carried away. 

Oh, did I mention the good OSTs? I'm so much into music and while playing the game, I can feel the mood up until the ending part.

I'm quite late discovering it because apparently, I finished the game back in 2018, but when it's rainy, I always queue the whole playlist of the game's OST on my Spotify. That's how remarkable it was for me. XD You can search for it as Life is strange Soundtrack and you're welcome.

I guess as I mentioned, the other game I'm into is 'Valorant', why? Ooookay, hold up, I am not a good player of FPS and I don't think I will ever be. The only reason I fell addicted to this game was because of the people I play with.

It was a first for me to enjoy this kind of game on PC, because it involves strategies and 200IQ (lol) The way it satisfies us when we succeeded to attack or defend in each round was unexplainable, it somehow feels empowering. But, I don't get it when I solo queue! It's really better to play with people you know. 

As for mobile games, well? I play mobile legends, which I know most of you do play it too! I main Pharsa in this game, (I'm always the soft powerful mage who needs protection at all costs LMAO) but I stopped when my friends went lie low too.  

I got into PUBG Mobile and COD mobile too, imagine the portability of the device you use, mobile. Yes, I play this when I have free time at work.

I would say the benefit of gaming to me is having a great impact on getting distracted. If you're emotional and wanting to divert your attention to something, I think trying to play is the best way, because this makes you think of a different thing rather than what's bothering you.

As long as I am free, it would be nice to discover other things to do too.

Uh okay well WoW is pretty good if you like open-world games where you level up in different classes (ie: trolls, mages, etc) but also fw a good basic plot. I played for awhile but I haven’t played a good MMO in a bit don’t ask I don’t know either lol & yeah I get it there just some games that you can only play on one platform even though they’re available on others bc it’s just not the same feeling, like I can’t play a mobile framed game on my pc you know— -honey anon

cs:go I think is a game that’s probably the most fun to play with a good party tbvh just bc I never take the game fully seriously but it’s just good fun for some laughs. It’s okay, I’m really bad at Fortnite that’s why I just stick to Overwatch LMAO & I wouldn’t be a tough kitty those games were really not scary imo the scariest game that like I got when it released and haven’t completed more than 20mins worth of it to THIS DAY is Outlast 2 bc it scares me shitless—(2)

Oof ok, I used to LOVE RuneScape LOL anything like that with elves, trolls, dragons and witches and anything fantasy based I adored, so WoW sounds PERFECT to me.

Ivre heard loads of people talk about cs:go but I’m kind of narrow minded when it comes to FPS games, I only really love CoD. Like, I played Destiny 2 when it first came out for a good 6 months and then got BORED AF, I haven’t played it since January. OMG Outlast 2 really fucking scared me, I’m such a pussy lmao. I can watch the play through abc it’s like watching a scary film but playing it gives me heart attacks. YOU HAVE TO TRY AND FINISH IT THOUGH, STAY STRONG.

I wasn’t into ETF too tough but my fav song from them is Celler Door, that shit is amazing. I loved YMAS too but grew out of them too quick :( and TØP were the last group I got into before I left the “rock scene”. I really love the song Car Radio, gives me goosebumps every time. Bruh that’s so cute, I love hearing how people got into kpop bc it all starts off so innocent but then we fall deeper into this all-consuming black hole. My fav male soloist is DEAN (he’s so damn chill right? There’s not one song that I don’t like, I honestly believe he’s a musical genius) and female is HyunA, mostly bc 4Minute was one of my first kpop groups and I loved her previous solo stuff. Also she helps me embrace my inner thot.
