Estelle spends the night with Zoey

Thats all there is to it

Estelle was drenched by the time she reached Zoey’s apartment. Winter in Hatchetfield usually meant a lot of snow, but since it wasn’t quite cold enough yet, it was just a shit ton of rain. Estelle had only lost power a few times in recent years, and this was by far the worst one. It was nearly nine pm and here she was, knocking on the door of the girl she was kind of dating, kind of fucking, kind of pretending she didn’t know.

Estelle didn’t recognize the figure that came to the door. She was fairly short, maybe 5’2 or 5’3 at most, with messy brown hair that hung just above her shoulder blades. She was wearing a pair of green flannel pajamas and holding a cookie in one hand.

“Who are you?” She asked Estelle, yawning as she talked. “I didn’t think door-to-door salespeople even came around any more.”

“Oh, no, uh, I’m Zoey’s…friend. My power went out and my heater broke, she said I could spend the night. You must be one of her roommates?”

The girl nodded. “For better or worse, yeah. I’m Hailey.”

“Estelle.”

Hailey then broke into a light laugh. “You’re not just a friend, then, you’re the one she…ooooh, fun. She’s in her room. I was just on the way to the- you know, the bathroom.”

Hailey turned down the hallway, letting Estelle into the apartment. It was a fairly simple layout: a hallway with three doors, presumably a bathroom, bedroom, and closet, which opened into a living room with a small kitchen at its left. To the right was a staircase that probably led to the second floor of bedrooms.

Estelle peered into the one open door—a small and simple bedroom set, featuring a twin bed, desk, dresser, and a good scattering of clutter across the floor. The walls were minty green, one of them adorned with a painting; a letter ‘H’ in calligraphy. Probably Hailey’s. 

Estelle continued up the stairs, where she was greeted by three more doors: the open one to a half-bathroom, just a toilet and a sink with some nice coral-hued curtains, a tightly shut door, locked and everything, which Estelle assumed belonged to Zoey and Hailey’s other roommate, and a final one that boasted a placard in the shape of a star, like one might see on a celebrity’s dressing room. Undoubtedly Zoey’s.

It was open just a crack. Estelle turned the knob and slipped in. The room was more spacious than Hailey’s, and it also had a bigger bed, likely a queen, and more decor hung about. Fairy lights twinkled from the ceiling, illuminating the room in a soft glow. The bedsheets were soft and plush, with plenty of pillows sitting atop them. The rug was warm under Estelle’s bare feet.

Zoey herself was sitting at her vanity, running a brush through her chestnut brown hair. She smiled when she saw Estelle, which surprised the ginger, really.

“Didn’t know if you were actually gonna show.” Zoey laughed. “How’d you get in?”

“Hailey got the door for me.” She came a bit closer to Zoey, careful not to overstep. “She seems tired.”

“I don’t know why she would be, she’s been home all day.” Zoey frowned. “Whatever. You gonna wear that to bed?” She gestured to Estelle’s current ensemble; her usual thick red sweater and white maxi skirt. Estelle mentally slapped herself for not changing into something more cozy.

“Guess I have to now.” She joked. Zoey waved her off.

“Grab something out of my closet.”

Estelle wasn’t going to think twice: she flung open the closet doors and pulled out some gray sweats and what looked to be a t-shirt from one of Zoey’s past shows. 

“Bathroom’s right next door, or you can change here.” Zoey had since turned her attention back to the vanity mirror, wiping off all of that day’s makeup. “I don’t mind.”

Estelle didn’t want to miss that opportunity either. She grabbed the bottom hem of her sweater and pulled it off of her body, quickly unclipped her bra, and tossed the show shirt on before Zoey even had a chance to comment on how flat she was, whether said comment would be good or bad. Off came the skirt, soon replaced by the soft fabric of Zoey’s sweatpants. Estelle was content, enveloped in the warmth of her kinda-sorta-girlfriend’s scent, which held notes of coffee and honey.

“Looking good.” Zoey spun around in the chair. “You don’t mind if I change in here, do you?”

Estelle felt her face heat up. “No, no! Not at all, be my guest, Zoey.”

“Great.” Zoey smirked. She sauntered over to the closet, swinging her hips seductively. Estelle couldn’t take her eyes away. She didn’t want to seem like a perv, but god, the moment Zoey’s shirt came off, she was glued to the soft curvature of her situationship’s body.

Zoey tossed her bra onto the floor, turning away from Estelle, which made Estelle a little bit bitter. Everything was covered up with her pajama top. Estelle met her eyes, face as red as a tomato. Zoey rolled her eyes with a small smile, and walked over to the bed. 

Estelle plopped down on the floor. She grabbed her discarded sweater and skirt and tucked them both under her head as a makeshift pillow. Zoey raised an eyebrow at her. 

“Issss there a reason you’re on the floor?” The brunette questioned.

“I didn’t think you wanted me in bed with you.” The ginger replied honestly. Zoey beckoned her up.

Estelle instinctively curled into Zoey, nuzzling into the softness of her breasts, the two women’s bodies entwining, soaking in the warmth of each other’s presence. Zoey in particular was as snuggly and comfortable as a blanket. This was as cozy as Estelle had ever been. 

“Jesus, you’re a cuddler.” Zoey noted. Estelle giggled. “You got that right.”

aw shucks, its tempting, but i don't wanna give ya spoilers. and there are truly things in lost that must be experienced by your own flesh

so i guess i'll give a vague spoiler free overview

so. a group of plane crash survivors find themselves on a mysterious island and have to deal with the strange happenings + their weight of their individual traumas

the show is serialized and one ep more or less flows into another, so literally no ep can be skipped (no matter what anybody says) or else you'll miss something

its a large ensemble cast, ranging from the 13 to 20s range, all in all i think theres like 35 main characters

the show follows a flashback structure, each episode dedicated itself to a main plot on the island intercut with flashbacks to one character. we call these centric episodes. eg. this is a jack centric episode. sometimes an ep will have multiple characters have flashbacks in one ep. while this show didn't originate the concept of a large cast or flashback storytelling, it did popularize it in the early 2000s. so a lot of post 2004 shows wanted to be lost so bad and it shows

at first lost was a survival show but they gloss over this very quickly and its more about the weird shit going on. as time goes on, plots and mysteries stack up. this is to create intrigue, as the shows main focus is an endless parade of character studies. with the added bonus of some cool and twisty shit going on too

but because lost had so much plot, over time it got accused of being confusing and convoluted and Not Answering Questions and well. your mileage may vary. but i think its confusing if you watch it too slowly. like, it aired over a 6 year period, no wonder people got confused. its better to watch nowadays, way easier to handle

the genre of lost is: drama mystery action paranormal sci fi romance with a dash of comedy. lost is full of the saddest fucks you'll ever meet but the show contains enough levity and great colouring to make it not a huge misery fest

pretty decent racial diversity. next to no LGBT rep. more women than the average tv show. then and now

the score FUCKS

not a single bad actor in this entire show, the performances on display are fucking outstanding. and every emotion is like up to 11, which is great for my autistic brain

for those of you who find sex scenes to be tedious, i have a bit of trivia for ya: all sex in LOST happens off screen. not a single sex scene to be found. pre sex, yes, post sex, yes. making out, yes. but sex itself? footage not found. i'm neutral on the concept, i just thought that was something to point out

i highly recommend lost to, like, anybody. ever. its a masterpiece of television. even the low points are better than most shows. sometimes i take lost for granted and then i watch any other drama series and im like "oh right, lost is incredibly good"

its my third favourite show. and thats only cuz star trek and doctor who exist, and nobody is beating those fuckers

anyways do you like to see beautiful people cry and scream but it isn't cringe?* well, i've got a show for you! *okay there is some cringe. as a treat. the leading man of this show has the social grace of a cold pancake (affectionate)

ok its been a few hours here r my absolute batman thoughts...

starting off with what immediately stood out: that man is not blond. we have spent weeks either bemoaning or defending blond bruce wayne, only for him to appear, not blond. when was the choice to unblond him made? neither of his parents are blond, perhaps then? he also doesnt appear to have his gay little dog, but he havent seen much of his home life so im still holding out hope.

the first thing i will say that jumped out to me, and something ive already commented on, is how much of a scott snyder batman book this feels like. which it is, but god i missed this feeling. snyder writes batman a bit more lone wolfy than other writers, but with a very well defined ensemble cast when the need arises. snyders alfred is one of the only ones ive ever actually had, like, any opinions or feelings on, and so having him (even a very different version of him) star in the opening issue feels right. speaking of snyders alfred -- julia! julia mention, julia graduation photo! julia:-) seeing alfred call her in one of the first pages was my first sigh of relief like oh were gonna be okay... theyre estranged, which makes sense considering any alfred but especially this one, but i do wonder why/for how long considering alfred does appear to have been at her college graduation, and i assume shes around the same age as bruce.

bruce who, speaking of, is 24 and born in... 2004. setting this comic in 2028 but also! thats fucked up! what do you mean batman is the same age as me? that gives me four years to bulk up and learn how to do. whatever bruce did with that massive gun to make it "non lethal" (comic books....). its very weird to have a gen z batman but also makes sense considering snyder said this book represents more his thoughts on the mindsets of his children rather than his own (as was the case for his original batman run). bruce is an idealistic young person now! with young person friends... also weird to think that in this universe, killer croc, the penguin, two face, and catwoman were probably also born in the 2003-2005 range (they appear to have been childhood friends, i assume they went to the same school and were maybe also at the zoo that day?).

this is disorganized and i dont have a transition into this section but: the main "twist" of the issue, which i was not expecting at all. martha is alive. bruce lost his father, but he never lost his mother. it makes sense why he seems a little more idealistic (or maybe thats just Alfred's pov skewing events), he really does have like. a whole life. he has friends and a mother and a job, hes not a sad boy left alone in a manor. really not much to say about this considering its only the first issue, but im really excited to see where it goes. it does make this batman feel a little like superman in an interesting way. hes a lot more ingrained in the city by working a job that actually touches its core, hes a mamas boy, he (or at least his social circle) is involved enough in local politics to be going to town hall meetings. and of course. his main villain appears to be this weird ultra rich guy...

which leads me to other main snyder-ism of the issue: we gotta get the joker in here, and he is NOT funny. in classic snyder fashion the joker is SERIOUS now. he wears muted colors and never laughs and is a brunette (which could all change when/if he gets dumped in acid).i really wasnt sure if he was gonna do it, after all snyder has already pretty extensively covered the joker in his old run, and while i think hes literally the best joker writer ever, i wasnt sure if hed been interested in tackling the character in what is essentially a new batman origin. but here he is! and the tables are turned -- bruce is friends with all the jokers old compatriots, and the joker is alone and insanely rich. i honestly really have no idea what to expect from this plot going forward, obviously the current focus is black mask and his gang, but its clear the joker is going to have some part to play. im excited about it, im not one of the people who dislikes joker stories on principle and i was really hoping for snyder to introduce him into this world so its a win for me if nothing else.

anyway! not sure how to conclude this, but these are my thoughts! its been a while since ive been this excited for a bat run, and this will probably be the only thing keeping me going for a while considering weve got tom taylor on tec now. but god. im just so happy. remember being excited about batman comics? if any of u guys read absolute batman plsss lmk what u thought...

Starmaker Productions

Fine - 5/10

I’ll be honest, despite being a partial Tori main, I’m pretty neutral about Fine. They get points for representation of Theater Kids™, manipulative pretty boys, and Tori’s :3 face but as far as music goes, they’ve never really stood out to me.

Trickstar - 4/10

I actually really like Trickstar but I feel like out of all the bands in ES, they’re the ones who would have a “my mom sold me to 1Direction” fanfic written about them in-universe and for that they get points subtracted

Ryuseitai - 6/10

Unrivaled Meteor Ranger fucks hard and every member of this band has had a warrior cats phase but in extremely different ways. Chiaki probably kins Firestar. Kanata goes apeshit over the Sunningrocks debate. You get no further elaboration.

hi, youre actually not the first person to tell me this tonight! i Also have no idea why im on a blacklist. i want to clear some stuff up because i was told this three (3) times. i dont exactly like that i have to reply to this publicly because i dont even make personal posts but i think this whole thing is out of hand and has been for a while.

im putting this under a Read More because its long and im finally able to air out some of my feelings about the situation.

TLDR: devin has lurked and kept tabs on me for three years and its exhausting that i have to address it like this of all places. if you need proof or anything feel free to dm me.

this is soooo. okay so i met this person in 2019 from the best of my memory because ive been trying for about an hour to get onto my old blog but i cant remember the login at all, and she and i had done a few dms just about whatever. and then she wanted to make these two kin doubles who hated each other or something be friends again, please note we all shared the same kin, and stirred up some problems.

then, after this happened, her host (or she did? regardless she admitted that she was involved in the creation) had made a callout blog for one of them despite my attempt to steer this off from happening, and i was ignored. i think my last message to her directly, and im not kidding here, was in jan 2020 (three full years ago!).

after this i made the choice, for myself, to soft her on tumblr. i no longer wanted anything to do with the situation, i think kin drama is stupid and im sure it was more personal than kin things from what she had told me, but i had no intention of being involved further. or know any of these people. like at all. after i softed her, she made a post about taking a hiatus after she deleted the callout blog and thats it from what i know about her tumblr because it was deleted soon after iirc.

8 months later she tried to follow my twitter, and i recognized her. i considered it a lottt, but i really didnt want that kind of energy stirring up things again in my life because 2020 was an absolute fucking Disaster of a year enough. so i softed her from my twitter because of this for my own mental health.i havent had a direct message with her since early 2020.

i know nothing about her, her life, anything because i wanted as much distance from that whole situation as possible. i didnt get to know her well enough with her to call her my friend or anything, and everything that happened so soon after we did start talking really made me not feel like i wanted to be friends or get to know her better if this was her vibe. she has made posts about missing me, when i feel as though i never warranted the title of friend at all because she basically just vented to me a couple times before this started and i didnt and still dont have the energy to deal with that kind of person.

i have found out, however, she has fucking LURKED me likely for three years. shes posted about how ensemble stars reminds her of an ex friend (which, she didnt get to know me enough to be my friend, and its pretty obvious this post is about me because my special interest is ensemble stars) and i got into it in mid 2020 so she shouldnt possibly know i ever got into it without lurking me. its some creepy shit ill be honest with you.

she knew and made posts about how my psychotic ass had delusions about being w/ilbur ds-p from nov 2021- mid 2022 because i like. Was in a horrible state and related to how self destructive he was or whatever but i got better and got my life together and dont do that at all anymore. i dropped it and i have most terms blacklisted (and the series itself) because it reminds me of those racist assholes and also of a horrible time in my life im still recovering from.

i have no fucking clue how this could affect her or she would even know. seeing as this was wayyyyy beyond the time i knew her. however this proves she was lurking me to myself and people who know me personally… we're all insanely confused. shes had no reason to keep up with anything about me for three years and im pretty much sick of it haha. ive been quietly freaking out over how scary shes been acting about me and whatever idealized version of what or who i was she had assumed during the very short time i knew her because i didnt want to start anything.

thank you for reading this. i hope this stops soon because i dont want to keep dealing with something thats happened 3 years ago and it happened because i didnt even want to be involved in things. its just unfair and makes me feel insanely uncomfortable im still a hot topic for her even though she hasnt messaged me or anything since following my twitter and being softed. it makes me feel weird and its just weird to me.

A Rant Abt Zari That Turned Into Character Analysis

i love zari tomaz so much

shes so good. so pure. so gay. so angsty. so morally gray in all the right ways. shes a perfect chaotic good. 

asdfghjkl once upon a time, i might have hesitated when someone asked me who my fav on Legends is... but now???? zari. just zari. i love her so much. her chARACTER DEVELOPMENT IS SO BEAUTIFUL IT MAKES ME WANT TO CRY. 

I AM A SIMPLE WRITER. I SEE CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT DONE WELL AND I FALL IN LOVE.

AND ZARI’S IS DONE SO WELL? EVEN IF YOU JUST COUNT SEASON THREE?

(oh shit looks like this is going to go on for a while buckle up)

season 3, episode 3: Zari

we meet zari, and we learn about her situation. she’s lost her brother, is separated from the rest of her family and is trying to avoid being captured by the government. before she reunites with her family she wants to retrieve a memento of her brother’s, because it could save them and also she misses him. but she’s stopped by kuasa, who wants to recruit her for the [her brother’s] totem. she’s willing to betray/lie to the legends because she doesn’t know/trust them. and then, we all come to the realisation that her parents are dead too. she’s still being hunted by kuasa, so she joins the team (for personal gain, like many other legends) oooh and also this ep intros us to some of her skills, like hacking

season 3, episode 4: Phone Home

zari tags along with the team to rescue ray’s younger self. we’re shown (not told, shown) that zari can be empathetic, and good with kids (this was the writer’s way of showing us that she was more than just her tough exterior)

season 3, episode 5: Return of the Mack

this ep was a Big One in terms of zari’s character development. we realise that she’s Not Over her brother’s death, that she feels guilty about it. (the writers are showing weakness, turning her into a well-rounded character. she has strengths, weaknesses, and a reason for all of them). its so well-done??? we see her feeling guilty about behrad. we see her making bad decisions based on this. and even more important than that, we see her main motivation for staying on the ship. we learn that she’s on the ship to try and save her brother and the rest of her family. we begin sympathising with her and the writing in the scene where she believes that she should have been the one to die is written so powerfully. we see zari, we see amaya, and then we see a blank screen, and we’re left to ponder, how would the show have been changed if zari had stayed to fight? she gives up the totem, the last thing zari has that connects her to her brother. she tries to give it up but by the end, we see her fully claim the totem. she hasn’t accepted her brother’s death, not by a long shot, but... she’s found some peace, at least, in having the totem he used to.

season 3, episode 6: Helen Hunt

ohhhhh, i love this one so much. its the one where zari looks at the timeline, sees all the screwed up things people have done in history, and says fuck that. its in this episode that we finally see (once again, see, not hear) what zari’s skills as a hacker are useful for on the waverider. we see her, for the first time, sympathising with another person in history. we see the point of her coming onto the waverider, not only from a storyline perspective, but from the ensemble’s perspective as well. from a storyline perspective, we see that she’s the one who’s going to look for loopholes in history, for ways to help people, rather than just extracting the anachronism. but from a ensemble perspective, she’s providing a balance in the team. think about it. before zari, we have sara, who’s dedicated to keeping the timeline safe. we have amaya, whos become more rebellious, but she’s still a bit of a rule-follower. we have martin, who’d like to go home, and believes that complying with the bureau is the best way to do so. we have jax, who may want to help people, but still will put sara’s orders on top. we have ray, who’s pretty happy with just keeping the timeline safe, and we have nate, who’s a historian and values the timeline being intact. zari’s the one who’s encouraging them to look at some of the anachronisms as people. she’s the one who’s going out and sympathising with others and learning about them and trying to make their lives better. zari provides a much needed balance to the unusually lawful legends. (also, zari and helen screwed)

season 3, episode 7: Welcome to the Jungle

this episode continues to build on the foundations laid in helen hunt. we get to see more of her looking for all the people she can help, like Ahn Li. we wvwn see her sympathising with grodd for a bit, when she hears that argus, the same organisation that captured her, had also kept grodd captive in 2018.

season 3, episode 9: Beebo, God of War

this is the first episode where zari tries to reach out to a fellow member of the legends. we’ve seen that she’s very sympathetic, and even though she might have been trying to get jax onto her side about the “hacking history” thing, she also is trying to help him. she, much like jax, has gone through a very recent loss of parental figures. she sympathises, empathises. i loved this episode because not only do we see her encouraging jax to take his timeline into his own hands, we also see her distracting him with video games. we indirectly get to see some of her own coping methods, like playing video games. we get so much insight into zari in this episode and i absolutely love it, because its done so well, shown, not told.

season 3, episode 10: Daddy Darhkest

WE GOT SO MUCH ZARI BACKSTORY IN THIS ONE. WE LEARNT ABOUT THE FACT THAT SHE HAD BEEN PUT INTO AN ASYLUM AND THE ZARI TOMAZ EMPATHY POWERS SHINE AGAIN! asdfghjkl i feel like this is a really underrated zari ep, but we saw stuff like her helping young!Nora feel more comfortable in her environment after they took her out of the asylum. i really, really love this ep so much. (and also, “welcome to the 21st century, you luddites” is an incredible quote)

season 3, episode 11: Here I Go Again

asdfghjkl this one. this one. i... i cant even. nope. i’ll make a separate post that goes into the details of this one, but here’s the summary: she begins to bond, like actually bond, with the legends, enough that, by the end, she’s willing to sacrifice herself for them... there’s so much character development in this ep i cant even

season 3, episode 12: The Curse of the Earth Totem

not a lot of zari in this one... so i can’t say much about character development

season 3, episode 13: No Country for Old Dads

again, not a lot of zari, but thats fine... :((((

season 3, episode 14: Amazing Grace

oooh, this is a good one. we see zari’s empathy in action, and better than ever before because its placed in direct contrast to wally’s super-speedy method of get in, do it, get out. and this is the first time we see zari as a sort of mentor figure to another legend!!!! considering that this precedes zari taking over amaya’s spot as sara’s second-in-command, this matters a lot!!!

season 3, episode 15: Necromancing the Stone

oof, this one hurt. we saw Behrad, for the first time, and we saw him the way that zari thought of him. as a young kid, as her baby brother. but even more important than that, we see her protecting the team over him. this is an incredible moment for zari, because it highlights how far she’s come and how much she cares about the team.

season 3, episode 16: I, Ava

actually, despite the fact that there’s a lot of emphasis on zari in this episode, theres not a lot of actual character development in this ep for me. what we see of her is more... reactionary that actionary which makes it a little hard to see the character development

season 3, episode 17: Guest Starring John Noble, and season 3, episode 18: The Good, the Bad, and the Cuddly

oof. not a lot here, really, but that’s understandable, what with this being the season finale... i still missed my fav tho... :(((((

but anyway, the legends writer did an incredible job with zari’s character arc in season three... stay tuned for more about her character arc in season four and Here I Go Again... :)

Great Comet Things

I got to see Great Comet on Sunday and it was absolutely amazing. The whole cast was amazing and the show is so artistic and surreal. Below is a bunch of things I noticed that were either very cool, unexpected or both. Warning, it’s very very long:

ACT I

The show doesn't actually start with Pierre singing. He comes out with his accordion then you hear Natasha yelp a really sad "No!" then run on stage with Andrei at her heals. They have a moment, and she looks really sad and he looks Very in Love and takes a necklace off his neck and puts it on her. She grasps at it and he runs out the door behind Pierre, representing the war

Prologue is actually really funny. Like it's sort of funny on the recording but the way people move and act w their faces makes it very comic. 

Marya is a little terrifying. She plays "strict yet Kind" out to the audience like, "yes, I'm KiNd!!! Believe me, That's an order!!"

Anatole is actually really funny. I had totally been imagining him as this impossibly smooth figure and He Isn't. Like yes, he's very smooth at times but he is also totally used for comedy sometimes and is severely melodramatic. 

Oak's Pierre is really dimensional. He's very subdued and gentle but there's also a roughness to his voice when he gets really disgusted in himself or in the world and he moves really smoothly and naturally between Pierre's gruffer, darker side, and the cute awkward warmness which he also does wonderfully.

Denée's Natasha reads really well as this young girl who has always been loved and appreciated and is now really struggling for the first time with her happiness and she's really bold and a little self absorbed and this really brings out the changes which I will get back to later

Courtney Bassett was wonderful as Mary!! She's plays her really sweet and shy but also clashes really well w Natasha. 

Private and Intimate is really intense but can also get very funny. Nicholas Belton is hilarious but his Bolkonsky has a lot to him I guess? He moves really slowly and he does the fragile thing really well for a dude who is like Bolting down the aisles as Andrei. I'm very scared of old prince Bolkonsky. 

The Lighting in No One Else  oh my go d. The song is so beautiful but the visuals. The falling snow. It's heartrending. Ahhhh.

Marya Dmitrievna is the best ever. I love her. 

The Opera is Funky as hell. Paul Pinto is a firecracker. What a cool dude.

I didn't expect Anatole to actually get that excited about Natasha. I sort of read it as pure manipulation (it's still manipulative don't get me wrong) but he really does adore her. He really cares about whether or not she likes him and he fawns over her.

The Duel is intense as fuck. Amber Gray walked passed me at some point (i can't remember if it was during the duel or not but) she is a goddess, damn it. I love her.

Nick Choksi plays the sociopathic Dolokhov you get in the book better in person than I would've guessed 

Pierre does this thing when he gets shot where he ducks and stays ducking for a long time bc he thinks he's a dead man and there's a long silence.  And then he looks up like “oh!” and Oak made the cutest face ever when he realized he won the duel.

Ok I didn't like dust and ashes when I heard it on the soundtrack and saw it at the Tony's but the way Oak does it is an absolute show stopper. It blew me away. I love it. It's now one of my favorite songs in the show. Pierre is sitting in his Hole or whatever. The sad hole. And he just. Opens himself up and it's great. There was at least a full minute of applause for him. 

SUUUUUNDAY MORNING TIME FOR CHURCH

I love sunday morning but i do miss Sonya’s part from the off broadway soundtrack

When Helene comes in during Charming, Natasha is dressed in nothing but her corset  and a tiny little underskirt and it makes her so vulnerable and frightened its an interesting dynamic. Amber Gray is a powerhouse of an actress and a singer and I love her. She has the coolest cloak too.

There’s this thing in Charming where Helene rips Natasha’s necklace from Andrei off and Natasha looks so guilty and upset about it. It really breaks the excitement from the yay, dresses part. She tosses it into Pierre’s depression hole and it landed in his book. Pierre picked it up and looked hilariously confused.

The ball is at least 80% same sex couples which was pretty cool. The ending is beautiful but it gets really chilling as the act draws to a close.

ACT II

Letters was bomb af. I’m gonna note again that I love Okieriete Onaodowan. After saying that he wrote the letter, Dolokhov crouches really malevolently watching what he orchestrated unfolds.

When they pass the love letter to Natasha, the audience has to pass it across the aisle but the girl didn’t know what to do when it got to the end, so Denee leaned really desperately with her arm reached out waving sweetly and asking for the letter until she got it

INGRID MICHAELSON IS A REALLY AMAZING ACTRESS AND SHE WRECKED ME

Preparations is a bop. Nick Choksi is a gift.

There’s a bit at the beginning where Anatole is carrying a big ol bag and he looks like he plans to walk up the stairs with it but then WHOOPS ANDREI IS SITTING ON SAID STAIRS. Anatole does absolutely nothing in acknowledging this- he simply sees he’ll need to take the other stairs and walk away.

I LOVE PAUL PINTO OK

There’s that one post about struggling to keep your sleeves rolled being gay culture and...Lucas Steele took a really long time to get his sleeves rolled up. I snorted.

I have very few words to describe the next few songs so i’ll sorta skip forward a little and just...trust me when I say they’re amazing

Seeing Pierre kick Anatole’s bitch ass is a ton of fun but its much less fun the way its staged because thats when natasha poisons herself and its painful

Natasha Very Ill was so tense and painful

One of the nice things Natasha sings about Andrei in act one becomes a letter to him which we see him open and read. He looks kind of lovestruck and then scared and he tucks the letter away, running off with the ribbon still in his hand. He comes on with this ribbon in his hand a bunch of times, and once, when he looks really beat up and scared, he has the ribbon tied around his gun. The last time he brings this ribbon on stage is in Pierre and Andrey, where its been returned around the parcel of Natasha’s letters.

GOD I love Nicholas Belton’ Andrei. There’s so much pain he’s trying to hide and it’s just being pressed down and hardening into rage. He’s really rough and a bit frightening but its so clearly from a place of sadness. His “No, I am well,” is almost pitifully unconvincing. The scene is so heavy. I could go on about this song forever. He does something on “never speak of that again” where he lashes out and sort of throws his hand out at Pierre’s chest and Pierre looks genuinely frightened by him. He’s really sympathetic even though he’s so cold. In three minutes he captures SO much of Andrei Bolkonsky

In Pierre and Natasha, Denee is completely transformed. She holds the railing and sways likes hse’s falling and walks like each step is over broken glass. Seeing her liveliness shatter is so utterly tragic. She’s brilliant.

Oak’s Pierre is so kind and good hearted. He was really crying during Pierre and Natasha, and it was so full of love. When he did the confession, he worked up so much courage to say it, and he was still sniffling from crying and there was such love in his voice that it richened and softened beautifully. It was so tender and beautiful.

THE ENSEMBLE SINGING IN THE FINALE. Their voices weave a whole sky of stars. Pierre coming to an understanding is illuminated by their soft moonlit voices. The whole moment is as clear as crystal and it is a perfectly executed awakening. It felt deeper and realer than I’d ever imagined.

Josh Canfield and Nicholas Belton came out first. I was very awkward but they were both Darlings. Josh photobombed my picture with nicholas belton and nicholas belton was like “oh looks like you’ve got a photobomber” and somehow I didn’t notice until like an hour later

A bunch of really cool ensemble members came out

Nick Choksi came over and he was still wearing his very heavy eyeliner. Someone said “you’re rocking the guyliner” and he looked quite pleased. I told him preparations is like the best song and he was like “hell yeah”

My friend (@levizoe​) told Paul Pinto that his performance was really moving. He thought this was a reference to the show as a whole but I knew. I knew this was about him, Balaga, specifically

Everyone lost it when Oak came out. He had a Harry Potter t-shirt on and was carrying a skateboard. What a cool dude. He’s huge but not as tall as I anticipated. so many muscles. I gave him some are and he was like “Oh this is pretty cool.” then he looked at it and called it kind of amazing and I died. Then he went inside to put it away and all the people who he didn’t get to yet were giving me some serious side eye i felt bad (he came back tho ofc)

Ingrid Michaelson has very pretty eyes and is very nice. She looked so tired tho i felt bad.

IN CONCLUSION I AM DEAD. Sorry for the length of this post. Its such an amazing show. I love them all so much.
