Everytime I see someone say that we only love Coryo because Tom has a pretty face etc etc and so we "forgive and forget" what he does... I want to scream about my love of Snape, another gray character (and of course Coriolanus later on went full black, no more gray, but not at the start of his story) that the fandom see as the devil incarnate because he is ugly. And it is true because you can see people give his personality and even his story to other more conventional attractive characters (*coff coff Regulus Black coff coff*).

So where is the truth? Where is the lie?

Is not that maybe, maybe someone can love a fictional character beside his look? We are NOT all puppies or ormonal teenager girls who fall in love with the villain because he is "pretty". What I like about Coryo (and what I like about Severus) is the complexity of his character. His lost love. How he coul do all the right choiches insted and live in a more happy way. All the "what if" that still feel true with his character. And, hell, even his personality itself. His unhinged thoughts, that make me see him more human. The mask they both keep for all of their live for the "grater good".

So... Please stop. We are not enchanted by a pretty face. We can love both pretty characters and ugly characters because a fictional chatarcter is more then his physical description.

i feel like i’m witnessing the downfall of celebrity culture, right here right now. people are waking up.

Her being terrified and thinking she'll become a demon and him rushing to hold her close to him and telling her he loves her again and again, right after seeing her at her most vulnerable and knowing her “shame” has to be one of the most beautiful and heartbreaking moments in the movie. I like how Orlok's violence is juxtaposed with Thomas's gentle and comforting love for her. Also, love that prior to this moment it is Ellen who holds onto Thomas to stop him from leaving the house, riles him up to get a reaction out of him ending up in them having rougher, more passionate sex which she wants Orlok to see because she is actively trying to fight off his hold on her. Basically just giving him a middle finger lmao. And the fact that this time, she actually succeeds, once again showing how Orlok uses her desire to exercise control over her and how Thomas not only satisfies that desire but also liberates her from the terrible psychosexual connection/subjugation, rendering Orlok's control ineffective. Thomas's love empowers her. God I'm never ever getting over this scene. Like never. Everything about it is so beautiful and heartbreaking and haunting to me.
