Batfam X Encanto AU, with powers decided by their ages (it kinda got away from me at the end)
As the baby of the family, Damian gets Antonio’s animal speaking powers and absolutely is living his best life
Skipping Duke since he has his own powers already, we have Tim as Mirabel and Steph as Camilo. As tempting as it would be to switch them, I think there’s great angst potential in Steph never being sure if Bruce actually values her or just finds her powers useful.
Also angst in Tim being the only one without powers having to work to prove himself and Bruce being terrified as Jason has Luisa’s strength and was still struck down.
Outside of that Jason’s power doesn’t change that much, neither does Dick with Isabela’s powers, just now uses vines to swing around. Cass is a bit weird because she’d have Delores’ power, so now you have a girl who hears everything but can’t understand it. I mean it’d be helpful in the field, but I imagine it would get overstimulating quickly, especially trying to focus on one conversation while she’s just starting to learn English.
Finally we have Alfred, Barbara, and Bruce. I picked a random triplet for each since they’re the oldest, so Alfred gets magic healing cooking, obvs, Babs gets Bruno’s powers to match her Oracle branding (we’re not gonna talk about how this affects the killing joke or how Bruno made prophecies for others but never for himself ok?), and Bruce gets Pepa’s powers.
I mean like in a meta way Gotham was literally made to reflect Bruce's mental state, but what if that was true in universe? What if it's rained everyday since that night in the alley? What if you're trying to fix a city and you can't even fix your own brain? What if you're just making it worse? Worse weather, worse conditions, worse things you're willing to do to get out.
What if you're Batman, with an unreadable face, yet your emotion can be read on a thermometer?
What if you can't feel it in the Watchtower, but the weather warms up when you tell that old Bat a joke? What if the skies clear up when he knows you're flying to him?
What if you're Dick Grayson who can make the sunshine with your smiles? What if you're used to getting rained on when you try to talk?
What if you're Jason Todd, and the rainbow you once made only come out in the reflection on the hailstones he drops every time they mention your name? What if you once wanted nothing but thunder clouds, but now you want lightening to strike at everything but you?
What if you're Tim Drake, holding back a hurricane? Stephanie, reasoning with fog? Alfred, who's given up trying to change him, just grateful when it drizzles instead of snows?
What if you've mastered control as best you could and it's still not enough? What if you're trying to be some sunny playboy when all you want is to be a kid again? Could you keep it from pouring down on everything you love? Could you stop your rain from eroding everyone down?
#leo says shit#batfam#bruce wayne#encanto crossover#damian wayne#Tim drake#stephanie brown#jason todd#cassandra cain#dick grayson#barbara gordon#alfred pennyworth#tagging all the bats cept Duke cuz I think there’s au potential I just focused on Bruce#batfam au#the hurricane is a reference to Tim trying to stop b from being violent and fog is a reference to b not listening to Steph#ALSO I’m probably gonna be offline for a bit so:#anyone has blanket permission to use this idea#just credit where you got it from + tag me so I can see it later

So seen a few 'What if the ISAT cast were in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon' posts...
And I'm gonna put my hat in the ring because darn it I've been thinking about this for over a week now and I want to infect others with these ideas.
Siffren: Hisuian Zorua - White, adorable AND comes free with a neck ruff to hide their face in, but well, doesn't it fit Siff extremely well lore wise too? Just a cute little guy that's a remnant of a home and life forcefully taken away, Normal enough to be among the living with no issues but also Ghost because there's something missing... Something lost that shapes them, tears at them but they just can't let go... Also they eat a lot, have a good amount of mischief in their nature and use 'illusions' for self protection so like. It's a perfect fit really~ XD (Also the 'red' aspects during the Vs Friends fight makes me wonder if in the PMD version of ISaT Siffrin is evolving so wrong somehow that the universe is breaking and a huge chunk of the fight is the party basically mashing B button in utter terror~ XDDD)
Isabeau: Ditto - No joke, Isabeau had me really stumped for ages because what kind of pokemon species goes from nerd to buff to eventually somewhere in the middle during their evolution line but then I realized 'Wow I'm an idiot. There's a pokemon all about Change that can be any form right over there!' and thus Isa-Ditto was born in my mind. I like to think he's almost always in the form of a Marchoke, Zangoose or Scrafty or something that to the others is big and buff but Isa's warm smiling ditto face always stops him from ever looking intimidating, and back in the 'nerd' days Isa probably stuck to being a Gothita/Gothorita, if only because they're about the only mon I can think of with braids and they do seem like a good form if one wants others to stay away so they can focus on studying and stuff...
Mirabelle: Minccino/Cinccino - Ok, most of my reasoning for this one is because Mira visually reminds me of the Minccino line (those eyes <3 And her ribbon! <3) but like, she IS pretty studious and helpful and probably cleans up after everyone and that's Cinccino as anything to me, plus the sheer way this mon blitzs with Skill Link... IDK I just really feel the line suits her.
Odile: Kanto Persian or Purugly - After realizing Siff, Isa and Mira were all Normal types I decided to make it a thing and since under this logic Odele couldn't be a Kadabra (as was my first instinct), the idea of her being this big old book reading cat affectionately rolling her eyes at everyone else's nonsense just had so much appeal <3 Leaning Persian if only because its design matches her visuals better but the thought of her as a Purugly feeling comfortable enough around the others she doesn't puff up her fur via her tail around them is pretty cute/very 'seems standoff-ish but is secretly affectionate Odile' so I'm still struggling to choose between them.
Bonnie: Zigzagoon - Bonnie was probably the hardest to pick out because there were so many possibilites (Aipom for the mischief? Munchlax for the cooking/food vibes? Oh but what about Meowth for their weird hug face???). But then I realized pokemon of all sorts could do all of those things and what really stands out about Bonbon is their 'NPC somehow on the big adventure and doing their best' vibes so a spunky little Zigzagoon using their 'Gluttony' expertise in food to 'Pick Up' the party's sprits felt really fitting (also they way they dart in and out of combat with their Quick Feet just. It works you know? XD). Not sure which Zigzagoon form would be most fitting for them but currently leaning Galarian if only because Siff being weak to Bonnie fits hilariously well, it matches with Bonnie's 'desire to be edgy despite still being adorable' vibes and the mental thought of them far off in the future, all grown up and protecting their family as a big bad Obstagoon gives me a ton of warm fuzzies so yeah~ <3
Euphrasie: Lopunny - Look, it's just the hair, the affectionate personality and her being really really tall compared to the others alright? Only the party is actually Normal locked to me! X'D (I could see her as an Altaria or a Mega Ampharos as well but Lopunny just feels more 'right' somehow.)
The King: Hisuian Zoroark - . . . In my defence, he's an incarnation of malice born from the loss of his home/life with long long hair who acts as Siffrin's foil, pushes them towards 'discovering the red' and yoyos between tragically lamenting and being a ruthlessly, cruel monster who would hurt a child. There was no other option.
Loop: currently torn but leaning Cosmog/Cosmeom or Mimikyu for most of the game and Necrozma/Ultra Necrozma for the Act 6 secret fight - Finally the one non Normal type! And the fact it's the eldritch feeling Loop is kinda perfect? Helps them stand out more at least, and well you really can't beat Ultra Necrozma for 'star shaped thing that is both terrifying, potentially world ending and in immense amounts of pain'. (...Also its weak to Siff's H!Zorua and Bonnie's potential Dark type so it fits type wise also XD).
Change God: Mew - Do I really gotta explain why? (Legendary, has Transform, cute and sweet but also a little bastard, etc- It ticks all the boxes XD
So... Yeah. Those are my In Stars and Time 'what Pokemon would the main cast be' thoughts.
#isat#in stars and time#Pokemon mystery dungeon#PMD#isat pokesonas#silly#but also I've put way too much thought into this#oops all normal types#isat act 6 spoilers#isat siffrin#isat mirabelle#isat isabeau#isat odile#isat bonnie#isat euphrasie#isat king#isat loop#...you think pokemon types actually still exist in a ISaT/PMD fusion or if all battles are still rock paper scissors? I'm leaning the later#isat spoilers#just realized that if everyone from The Island is a Ghost type (now)#then everyone else being normal type kinda explains why no one can hear the language/remember the place#because its a ghost language and Normal is immune to Ghost (laughs and cries in 'yay pun but also ahh that's a horrible joke to make')#isat pmd au#not related to neoncityrain's isat pmd au (had most of this in my head prior to their Siff Shinx art post) but check that out too plz <3#isat all normal pmd au

K, but I want to know about all the WIPs you mentioned! But I shall settle for asking about Incomplete Madrigal and Kindergarten Casita - the last one sounds absolutely adorable.
Awwww thank you!!!
I had to actually stop myself from posting everything I have on these two wips lol I've got to chill, I don't want to post their most exciting parts and then not have enough motivation to finish them!
Okay okay okay look, let's start with
Kindergarten Casita
Somewhere in the city N there is a "magical" kindergarten Casita - according to rumors, its pupils joyfully run here in the morning, and the walls of the old building sing. Its new head, Señorita Daniela, is trying her best to justify the faint hopes of her deceased mother, the previous head of Casita, Señora Maria. The new kindergarten teacher, Señor Bruno, is trying to help her with this.
Honestly, with this title I could've imagined a couple of more obvious AUs 1. Where all the kids are of the same (or close) age, and Casita itself is like a kindergarten; 2. Where Alma is the head of a kindergarten and the triplets are teachers.
That sounds hella cute and I haven't yet encountered similar AUs but! I wasn't able to come up with plots for these AUs so that's not what Kindergarten Casita's about.
That's a really specific AU catering to me only and my love for soppy melodramas I watch with my grandma. It doesn't happen in the Encanto setting but actually somewhere else, closer to where I live and sometime more modern, circa 2000.
All the original characters are present in the story though not all of them are relatives. I actually like what I've come up with for each of them - both design-wise and personality-wise. Though, I'm writing it in my native language so it'll be a bit challenging to finish I guess
And it's a romantic comedy, of course, at least I try to make it funny and romantic lol
And here's a couple of paragraphs I really like:
Returning to her office, Daniela found a short man in front of the door, pacing back and forth with his head down and muttering to himself. His long hair hung down covering his face. Under a long green autumn jacket, he was wearing an almost ironed gray shirt that had most likely once been white, and long brown trousers, one of the legs of which almost reached the floor. He had a bulky brown messenger bag slung over his shoulder. Having rolled up the sleeves of his jacket, he nervously fiddled with the sleeve of his shirt, buttoning and then unbuttoning the cuff. Since Daniela knew all the parents of her pupils, she could say with certainty that pacing in front of her was none other than the new candidate for the vacant position of the kindergarten teacher, whom she had made an appointment with yesterday, Señor Bruno Madrigal. His appearance perfectly matched his agitated tone of voice that she had heard on the phone recently.
Incomplete Madrigal
(honestly, I fully expected this name to be already taken but I was pleasantly surprised. I'm keeping it and never letting go)
Mirabel is determined to bring Bruno and his wife back into family after seeing an almost disastrous way their guilt affects Casita on Antonio's birthday. Surely, if they get accepted back Casita won't suffer anymore. Right?
So yeah, it's an AU where Bruno has a wife but he doesn't stay in Casita and instead moves out.
This wip makes me suffer immensely - I want to make it fun and goofy but all that comes out of it seems like a weak parody of the original movie. I think I will have to try to go in a different direction, but I will not give up ☝️☝️☝️
And here's a couple of paragraphs I like:
You would think that the family of the Encanto matriarch’s only son would live right beside Casita. Maybe, it would even take a less than a minute walk to get to them. Because, you know, they are family. They need to be near to be able to help each other when in need, to visit each other and spend time at one another’s house. It would make sense to live close, right? Apparently, no. Mirabel fought every fiber of her being not to curse as she sprinted through the town’s labyrinth trying to find Bruno’s house. The villagers either didn’t want to give her any directions or their directions were misleading and she would eventually find herself in front of a wrong house. She regretted not asking Bruno or Daniela for directions yesterday before they fled Casita embarrassing her in front of everyone. They at least owed her that.
Thank you again for asking me about my wips!!
#well all that's left is write the rest of the stories#teawizard fics#ask game#Incomplete Madrigal#Kindergarten Casita#teawizard wips#encanto au#daniela serrano#idk how else to tag this honestly but i think this is enough

What are the dance moves the party is whipping out
Also thank you for the time and love you put into your answers for my other asks, I appreciate it and hope you're having fun too.
Assuming a modern au or at least modern sensibilities/genres. Please enjoy my attempts to explain moves via text.
Siffrin will match whoever they're dancing with! They pick up new moves quickly and they like the variety. If you put him in the middle of the circle by himself, he will do some sort of cool flip or perhaps five seconds of fancy footwork, and then retreat to the edge and you have to let him because it was an awesome five seconds.
Mirabelle dances along to the words as much as the beat. You KNOW she's pointing when the song says "you" and making a heart when the song says "love". She'll try a partnered or choreographed dance, but sometimes she gets so caught up in getting the moves right that she loses track of the rhythm.
Isabeau is very determinedly willing to be the first person out on the dance floor, but he sticks to a small set of classic moves. The stomp/nod/fist. The shoulder twist / hip bump. Maybe the sexy chest/waist/hips/waist/chest wiggle if he's feeling daring. He also knows how to waltz!
Odile wallflowers it. She will good-naturedly nod her head and tap a food. Unless you get her just the right amount of drunk and pull her onto the dance floor while a song she knows is playing, in which case she goes all drama, singing along, arms flung out, lots of emotion.
Bonnie fortnite dances. Rare is the child this age who doesn't fortnite dance, whether or not they actually play fortnite. Old enough to feel too self-conscious for childish improv, young enough to feel too unskilled for stylish moves, just the right age to throw themself into something that's goofy and fun but also enough of a joke that they're not risking sincerity.
Nille would feel pretty awkward at first. But Bonnie can pull her into some fortnite dances, and once she's warmed up she develops a sort of swaying flowing style. But her favorite is dances that tell you what to do, because it's fun doing the same silly moves as everyone else, and they're like surprisingly exhausting in a good way.
If they must, Loop gives em the ol razzle dazzle~! But also, depending on factors, they might really love mosh pits.
#the factors being how they're dealing with the whole touch starved thing#mosh pits could be a helpful intricate ritual yknow#and like they're into intense physical activities#so it would be fun as long as they don't hate it#ask meme answers#rly funny that most of these are pretty much modern au and then i jump right to my post-canon hcs for loop. but like still modern au.#thoughts#thoughts about the whole family#thoughts about siffrin#thoughts about mirabelle#thoughts about isabeau#thoughts about odile#thoughts about bonnie#thoughts about nille#thoughts about loop#i rly should've chosen a shorter custom tag format....

Random Encanto Hcs
I'm bored
Madricest freaks stay the fuck back or get popped in the mouth
-Dolores is the best musician in the Encanto. She can match tone and harmonize perfectly and has a beautiful voice. Her room has an orchestra pit at the foot of her bed that she practices in almost daily. People often commission her to play at big events
-Mirabel and Camilo looked very alike when they were younger. They were impossible to tell apart when Mira took off her glasses. Dolores and Isabela were nearly identical as babies but the difference in hair texture gave them away
-Luisa, Agustin, Julieta, Dolores, and Alma are cat people. Felix, Pepa, Mirabel, Camilo, Antonio, and Isabela are all dog people. Bruno is a rat guy.
-Alma taught Mirabel the basics for embroidery and bought her some self-help books when she wished to learn more. She also bought Mira her sewing machine
-Agustin is so clumsy bc he's straight up wearing the wrong type of glasses and no one has realized it yet
-The grandkids consider both Pepa and Julieta to be their mothers in all but name. And treat them as such. Because of this Isabela got many of her personality traits from Pepa and Dolores got hers from Julieta
-Camilo can also shift into animals and objects he just doesn't do it often bc switching to an entirely different anatomy feels very gross
-Antonio's love of animals started with Bruno, who would sneak into the nursery when no one else was around and let him play with the rats
-Felix taught his daughter everything she knows about music and they love performing together.
-Antonio is extremely intelligent for his age. Like, extremely intelligent. He's less quiet than his sister but just as perceptive
-Both Dolores and Pepa are picky eaters so they rarely eat food that is not Julieta's cooking
-Pepa is a fantastic dancer and Mirabel learned by watching her
-Bruno was 100% a Mama's boy when he was younger and kind of still is. Alma did not spoil her children but had a soft spot for her only son
-Bruno looks so much like Pedro that sometimes it was hard for Alma to look at him without tearing up. Post-movie Alma is better at processing her grief
-Bruno had a lisp when he was younger and his sisters bullied the hell out of him for it but they would go apeshit on anyone else that tried to poke fun at it
-All the grandkids love playing with Isabela's hair. If she's sitting still long enough one of them them will just show up and start braiding it. She pretends to be annoyed but secretly loves the attention
-Post-movie Isabela gave all her dresses to Mirabel and she used them to make more frilly and colorful clothing for Luisa
-Luisa always wanted to grow out her hair like Isa but thought it would get in the way while she's working. Post-movie she's growing it out and wears it down more often
-Pre-movie Isa and Mira liked strolling through the jungle and naming different types of plants. They've started doing it less as their relationship became more strained and Isa started to really feel the pressure of expectations but occasionally Mira would point at a random house plant while naming it and they would share a little smile
-Post-movie they've been going on these walks frequently and Isa would try to recreate every plant Mira pointed out
-Julieta is simultaneously the last person to get pissed off and the last person you want to piss off. Many childhood bullies of Bruno and Pepa's learned this the hard way
Aight I'm done ✌️

More Madrigal family headcanons (specifically the adults)
because I want to take over the Encanto fandom /hj
no spoilers
Felix enjoys fishing but he can never bring Pepa because she gets annoyed just saying there and her storm stirs up the fish.
Julieta's favorite food is corn. just...corn.
on holidays where Felix and Agustin's family celebrate with them and there are kids and adult tables Isabela always forget she's allowed at the adult table now.
Bruno is a VERY confident drunk. sober Bruno and drunk Bruno would hate each other
Luisa is scared to pet Antonio's animals because she thinks she hurt them and she won't know because she can't communicate with them.
speaking of Luisa's strength she didn't hug anyone for nearly 3 years after She got her gift. (hug her.)
Dolores is exactly 5'8 And she takes great pride in it because her favorite number is 58.
Isabela lets Mirabel take just a sip of alcohol whenever she has it (Which isn't often) She did the same with Luisa when she was underage but they found that her gift made it hard for her to get drunk anyway
Agustin is allergic to citrus So he has to be super careful what kind of candy he consumes.
Alma can dance really well.
Isabela and Pepa did beauty pageants as kids.
Because Felix is older than (besides Alma) everyone he sometimes refer to the family as "you kids"
Bruno can play the guitar really well its one of his favorite things he had to give up while living in the wall. But shhhh it's a secret.
the Triplets used to match outfits everyday. Not because they had to Alma didn't make them match, They actively chose to.
Agustin really likes grilled salmon
Luisa used to be really jealous of Isabela's flowers. she thought it made her look like a princess (Which is why Bruno started calling Luisa, Princesa when she was really young.)
Julieta is very clumsy out of the kitchen
Bruno hates the color green with a burning passion. his favorite color is Brown.
on Isabela's 18th birthday (drinking age in Columbia) Alma sat her down to have a glass of wine with her to "congratulate her on being an adult" so Isabela had to pretend she'd never had alcohol before
Felix has a BIG family. I'm talking 10 siblings almost 20 something nieces and nephews.
Alma almosted married Bruno of to some girl in town on the triplets 28th birthday. now he hates the number.
Agustin has a job in town even tho he doesn't have to work.
Pepa is allergic to strawberries
one time Isabela grew a Venus flytrap and the look of distaste on Alma's face wasn't enough to make her never do it again.
At one point Dolores was convinced that she was adopted.
Felix and Isabela get really cold quickly
Agustin is a really good baker! he made Pepa and Felix's wedding cake.
The Triplets sometimes have trouble sleeping at night and always know where to meet up so they can sit together. its a weird triplet telepathy thing.
Luisa did Ballet 🩰
Bruno has Ocd that stems from his paranoia. (and tics that stem from his ocd. funny how that works 😕)
Julieta has this one nightmare about being alone in a wheat field. She's alone for what feels like hours and then she sees her siblings feet apart. She calls out and they're taken away by faceless people. (I might write a fic about this one)
Bruno is deadly allergic to cats. but he still stops and pets them anyway.
when she doesn't know what to say Pepa says- "so...how 'bout that weather." no matter the situation. (Even when she forgot her vows at her wedding because of all the rain.)
Julieta's Gift has a lot to do with intention. She's making cookies with the intent to heal something broken it won't work on a cold. so she has to pay A lot of attention and invest in a label maker.
Bruno LOVES music. he's always singing under his breath.
they all hangout outside at night sometimes just to talk and enjoy each other's company with out Abuela being upset over chores.

Another POV
Between 1 and 2
* Pepa was curious
* A boy, a boy who was so close to Mirabel
* She saw in that little moment, how much they work together
* The way the act as if they have been together forever
* Pepa knew a good match when she sees one, they remind them of herself and Felix
* Even Antonio knew Mateo, so she goes to the him to discuss Mateo
* “Toñito can you tell Mama about Mateo?”
* Antonio look confuse at her question, but brighten considerably when he realize she wanted to know more about Mateo
* Antonio tells the stories of their adventures together
* How the three of them celebrate his Tio and Mateo’s birthday together
* The lunch they had with Mateo’s mother
* How they play futból together
* Even that Mirabel embroider on Mateo’s shirts on quiet days
* Pepa’s face was in a big grin the entire time, not many people had Mirabel’s embroider on their clothes
* Most of the town ask her to fix in solitude along with the seamstress
* For Mirabel to embroider for someone outside the family is a big deal
* Pepa wanted to know, what is Mateo like? How did they get close?
* She remembers that Camilo was really close to him when he was younger
* But how did Mirabel became best friends with him is the mystery she wanted to solve
* Pepa, waited until everyone went to bed, it was late enough that no one should be up,
* Pepa saw Mirabel go into the nursery and wondering why she is up still
* On a mission she went towards Julieta’s door and knock on it
* The door open towards Julieta her hair outside of the bun
* “Pepa?” Said Julieta, there was no sleep in her eyes and she was wide awake
* Pepa grab Julieta’s wrist and pull her out the room, Julieta close the door with her other hand silently
* “What is this about Pepa?” Julieta ask
* “That boy Mateo?, how close is he to Mirabel?”
* Julieta was surprised and a little worry
* “Is that the reason you took me out of my room?” Julieta sigh at Pepa’s nod
* “He’s a friend Pepa, he and Mirabel hang out many times, he also have helped her out often. He even helps me out at the table”
* “Yes but I saw them, it was like two bodies but one soul”
* “Pepa” Julieta said drawing out her sister’s name “ I know you want to put those two together but it isn’t something you can force”
* “I know Julie, but I see how it is, he likes her”
* “Pepa please, let’s talk about this tomorrow”
* Pepa let Julieta go back to her room, but she knew what she saw, and she saw something
* Pepa went back to her room, and made a step back in surprise, Felix was up looking at her
* “What are you doing amor?” Felix question as Pepa went to her side of the bed
* “I went to talk to Julie”
* “At this time?” Felix turn to look at her more awake wondering what was going on
* “Yes, about Mateo Lopez” that name woke Felix up more, he sat up straight as he listen to what happened earlier
* “Don’t force it Pepa, I rather they stay friends”
* Felix voice was gruff, there wasn’t a single hint of teasing in his tone
* “Why?” Pepa question, “Antonio and Julieta said he is a good man”
* “Yeah, a good man to impress us”
* Pepa knew what he was talking about instantly “Felix… Mirabel doesn’t have a gift, we all saw how the kids back away from her.”
* Felix nod in agreement “Mirabel is still a Madrigal. That doesn’t mean if she doesn’t get a gift, any children she have will be giftless”
* Pepa eyes widen at the conclusion Felix gave her, but she let him continue
* “A giftless Madrigal means that she could be more vulnerable to the Encanto, I’ve seen children Camilo’s age who stop playing with Mirabel suddenly start to talk to her, now? Why now?”
* Pepa knew that Felix’s heart was in the right place and in any given day she would agree with him, but this was different
* “Then why did Mateo stick with her after all this time? Why did he never follow his other friends and tease her or pick on her. Antonio told me, that he seen Mateo defend Mirabel and lost a friend because of that”
* Felix sigh “Pepita, I’m not saying that Mateo is like them, but you could never be careful… I don’t want to get her hopes up again”
* Pepa was quiet at that last part, she understands, that Mirabel with as big as an heart she has, she is still a bit fragile. Pepa doesn’t want to see a Mirabel that broken again.
* “We won’t let that happen, and I don’t think Mirabel would let that happen either” Pepa place her hand on top of Felix and gave him a small smile, even if he can’t see in the dark. Felix gave a squeeze back.
* They won’t stop what could happen, but they could support Mirabel, and help her when she needs it.
I really wanted to write something like this, to flesh out the world. Mateo’s relationship to Mirabel and the story is based on Mirabel’s perspective like the movie. We don’t know the rest of the family’s motives. Why they act this way towards Mateo and why to Mirabel they are being weird. They love Mirabel but haven’t been the best at showing it. The next POV will be Isabela and Luisa, with a hint of Alma
Pepa is an romantic, she truly believe in that friends to lovers trope and she is the mosey aunt who wants the best for her niece. Felix doesn’t want to dislike Mateo at all, but he along with Agustin was there when those kids stop wanting to play with Mirabel and how it affect her. In the same way Dolores is also an romantic, Camilo is just more protective but neither of them dislike Mateo. Antonio is team Mateo 100%

Hello hello I have an AU idea. Mirabel literally becomes the candle. As in the candle Abuela holds disappears when Mirabel is five and she starts glowing with the same patterns shortly after.
Hello hello!
So, before we get into it, I want to say that I will be taking the plot and changing it around for this AU.
Mirabel touches her door and it glows brighter than any other door; it actually blinds everyone. Once the light settles down, Abuela yells in surprise.
The candle was gone. Mirabel hadn't even known; she was far too excited, jumping up and down as she looked at her glowing door.
It was her, slightly older, and she was surrounded by light and butterflies. She also noticed that on the door, the patterns that were on the candle were etched onto her skin.
She was about to open the door when she looked at her hand---it was like the door! She had the paterns of the candle lining her skin, ending right on her neck. Her legs and arms glowed gently, and she was amazed.
"Abuela, Abuela look!" Mirabel pulled on her Abuela's dress as she pointed to her skin. The elderly woman whipped to look at her, as did the rest of their room. "My skin looks like the candle! See, look, butterflies!"
At first, Alma was lost. She didn't understand---Mirabel got a door, but there was no candle! But then she realized something.
Mirabel had always been so helpful, and she never had any defining characteristics that might have linked her to a Gift like it did with the others. So, what happened?
She became the candle.
Alma was happy anyway. Her youngest nieta had the greatest gift, and that was enough for her. So after that, Mirabel went to her new room and the party went on, etc. etc.
Mirabel didn't know what to do at first. Sure, she still helped out in town, but what was her power?
Well, she discovered it pretty soon. She saw Luisa struggling to push a building up, so she went to help her. Mirabel had pushed on Luisa's back and she had pushed the building up with ease she hadn't had before.
It happened again with Dolores. The girl was listening for something, but couldn't quite pin it, She had unconsciously grabbed Mirabel's hand and suddenly she knew the exact location of what she was looking for.
It didn't take her long to realize that she could strengthen the Gifts when needed.
She followed around her family members after that. She helped Pepa better control her weather, her mama's healing food would heal much more, Camilo had a lot more energy, etc. Even Bruno's visions caused him less headaches.
Mirabel liked it. Her Abuela did too. Abuela paid a lot more attention to Mirabel, which she noticed very quickly.
At age 9, she realized how uncomfortable Isabela was. She had even heard her mumbling about how much she disliked all the pink and purple she had to wear and how boring the roses she had made. So Mirabel took it up with Abeula.
First, Mirabel got Isabela to show her the more exotic, colorful and pretty flowers, which Isabela didn't get to use often. Mirabel suggested that she show Abuela, but Isabela denied it---it wasn't perfect. But, Mirabel was very persuasive and eventually conviced her to show her.
Isabela shyly showed Alma the flowers and pollen. It was pretty grand, and as the final act, she gave Abuela a cacti with a maroon flower topping it.
Abuela was hesitant at first, but Mirabel and Isabela explained how she felt about the whole perfect thing.
And Abuela didn't want her family to be unhappy, and her little candle and flower seemed so sad...after a little more convincing eventually she caved. Isabela was free to express herself! (The first thing she did was change into a dark blue dress, to match her papa.)
Mirabel was glad her mission was successful. So, she took it upon herself to help all of her family.
One by one, she helped them open up to Alma, and each time, Alma grew softer and softer and caved each time and every time.
When Antonio was born, Mirabel was super excited. She spent the most time around him, and her loved it. He loved to trace her patterns and the warmth she gave off.
At his ceremony, she walked him up to the door, and while still holding his hand, Abuela asked him:
"Do you promise to live happily and be with your family no matter what?"
Antonio gets his animal gift, Dolores gets with Mariano and they live happily ever after. No cracks because Mirabel helped the family long before they could come to be a problem.

✨Encanto✨
The lack of clarity on the Madrigal cousin ages really bugs me. I like having everything laid out neatly with cool little links between people. But, Disney didn’t help me there. So I’ve made up a head canon for their ages. Obviously some of it will be canon, but not all of it.
Isabela:
Eldest first. I recon Isa would be the oldest of the cousins as she is mentioned as the golden child countless times. She is the example to her younger siblings and cousins because she is almost literally perfect. There is also that whole thing about how she almost gets engaged just because her Abuela thinks they would be a good match.
Age wise, I’m going with around 23. As the eldest sister, it isn’t unusual to have a 15 year old sister, and also, she almost gets engaged. She can’t be that young. That would put her as 7 when Mirabel was born which sounds right to me in my head.
Dolores:
I was debating whether or not to put her as the oldest, but decided ultimately that while she looks like she is an amazing older sister to Camilo and Antonio, I can’t quite see her being the leader of the cousins while they grew up, but rather the second in command who knows exactly what is happening all the time. Dolores also mentions in a song that she “grew to live in fear of Bruno stuttering and stumbling”. If I remember right, Bruno left when Mirabel was five (correct me if I’m wrong) which means as the second oldest, she would have had time to actually grow to be wary of him.
In the film, I head canon her as around 20. This would still give her a five year gap from Mirabel, meaning she could have grown up with Bruno until she was ten, but also give Isa enough time to be a good influence. When Isa got her gift of gracefulness and general perfection, Dolores would have been 2ish meaning she grew up watching Isa be perfect.
Camilo:
Camilo and Luisa were hard to choose between but I really liked the idea of Dolores and Camilo being closer in age and getting up to mischief together. Obviously they nicknamed each other Lory and Cam and they stuck when their cousins and brother joined them.
Cam can not be any older than 19 in my opinion. He is so laid back (which I’m not saying people in their twenties aren’t) but he also looks so young. I mean, if we went by looks, I would have said Luisa was the oldest. But yeah, I think Camilo was born almost exactly 10 months after Lory was
Luisa:
As I said before, Luisa really could have been the oldest looks wise. I head canon that she didn’t particularly like being the youngest and was thrilled when Mirabel was born because she looked up to how perfect Isa was as a sister and really wanted to be that person to someone else. Pretty much as soon as Luisa hit ten, she started volunteering for jobs and to do all the heavy work because she liked feeling appreciated and was constantly worried that she was in the way or not good enough. (Also, from her song, I would have thought Luisa was the oldest. I’m the oldest of four, and that is how I constantly feel)
Luisa is around 17 but still has a very happy go lucky personality that is sometimes replaced when she is really concentrating on something, but otherwise is like an excitable puppy
Mirabel:
We all know who Mirabel is. I don’t have much I feel like I really need to add other than she she too didn’t like being the youngest and was excited through Pepa’s whole pregnancy.
15, but we all knew that
Antonio:
Can anyone not love him? Isa used to make plants grow into whatever him favourite animal at the time was, and that was actually one of the first times she was able to make more than one plant that wasn’t some sort of pink flower or rose grow. Lory would sneaky into the nursery when she heard him waking and get him out of his cot and take him to play in her room as it could make any sound anyone wanted and had lots of wind chimes and water features. Cam was so happy when he was born because he finally had a brother and danced around the house, constantly changing into different people. Luisa was probably the least close with him as she was already working a lot and didn’t have much time to sit down, but she would let him climb all over her and throw him into the air and basically let him tumble around. Mirabel’s relationship is really nice in the film so I’m not changing that either.
Lil’ baby Antonio is only 5
But yeah, there is the Madrigal cousins as how old I head canon them to be

No Clouds Allowed In The Sky, Ch. 5
“Clear skies” had been her life’s motto, it was the only thing she had at times to keep the lid on her emotions, and keep the weather outside from becoming disastrous. Totally an effective solution to her problem with no foreseeable issues, right?
——————————————
5 times Pepa’s emotions were outside of her control + 1 time she can finally let them out
Ch. 4 Ao3 Link
Word Count: 2157
A/N: I’ve only read this over once so sorry if there’s any mistakes, or if anything flows awkwardly. I wanted to get this out already now that I finished writing it. I’m also not too sure how I feel about it? I kinda think Pepa feels less involved in this chapter somehow? It still discusses an incident and how it impacted her and her weather, but I think I wanted her to feel to feel just slightly less present in the whole chapter as a reflection of her own emotions by the end of it.
5. Age 40
Casita was quiet. It was a stark contrast to the noise and celebration that had been occurring only a night prior. The silence accompanied a feeling of dread, which served as a reminder, almost mockingly so, of how quickly everything can fall apart. The night before, everyone had been so happy. It was supposed to have been a good night. It should have been.
But what started as a celebration of the youngest Madrigal child receiving her gift, an event that should’ve lasted long into the night, came to an early end as everything went disastrously wrong. The whole town watching as Mirabel slowly broke into tears and was rushed back to the nursery by Julieta, while Agustín did his best to placate their other two daughters, who were no doubt concerned and full of questions about why their little sister’s ceremony didn’t work. Julieta was determined not to leave her daughter’s side, not at least until the girl was calm enough to fall asleep, and if that meant sleeping by her side all night, then so be it.
She hadn’t left until early the next morning, when she woke to a seemingly muffled cry and the distinctive sound of thunder, and then the sound of gentle knocking on the nursery door. Julieta had been concerned at the noise, but frankly hadn’t been in any mood to leave her daughter.
“ Pepa, what could be so import- “ Julieta began in a hushed whisper before stopping as she noticed the horrified look on her sister’s face, slightly amazed that the cloud above Pepa’s head didn’t match the severity of the emotions her face was conveying. She wondered if that was intentional, meant to keep Mirabel from waking up. After checking in on the girl, sure that she was still tired enough to stay asleep for a little while longer, Julieta stepped outside of the nursery, “What’s wrong?”
“I-it’s,” Pepa took a deep breath, “It’s Bruno’s door.”
Julieta gave her sister a confused but concerned look. Before she could question further, she was grabbed by the wrist and pulled over towards their brother’s tower. She had to stop herself from letting out a loud gasp as she took in the sight before her. Both sisters held on to each other as they stared up at the door which was no longer glowing as it had been before they all went to sleep.
“P-pepa, what does that mean?”
“Why would I know?!”
“Should we get Mamá?” The look Pepa gave her was enough to answer her question, “Should we go inside? Maybe he’s in there?”
Pepa hesitated, but eventually nodded her head once she heard the familiar sound of Casita's tiles, as though they were encouraging them. After Julieta quickly chose to wake up Agustín and ask him to stay by Mirabel, the two women made their way up the stairs, not letting go of one another as they pushed the door open. Finding no immediate presence of Bruno, they continued on further, knowing it was likely they’d have to make it all the way to the top of the cliff, either to ease their fears or confirm their worst suspicions.
There had been a time when they were kids, Pepa could easily create a small tornado that could bring them all the way to the top, but somewhere over the years she would no longer dare to do such a thing. So they started their trek upwards, pushing forward despite how much they could feel their age had caught up with them. When one got tired the other pulled the other along to make sure they could keep going, just hopeful they could get up and back in time before others began to wake up and notice the door as well.
As they finally made their way up the last few steps, they were met with another shocking sight. Instead of walking towards their brother’s vision cave, they could see the bridge that would lead them there was no longer intact. The sisters shared another look of concern, and then downwards off the edge.
“You don’t think?” Pepa asked, leaving it open-ended. She didn’t want to consider out loud the possibility of Bruno plummeting off the side of his cliff.
“ No . No, I think we would’ve noticed something down there. He’s clearly not here,” Julieta told her, unsure whether she was trying more to convince herself or her sister that he was still okay.
After accepting the fact that if he were around, it wouldn’t be here, the two made their way back down the stairs. They tried to quietly leave the room and return to the house, but were met by the sight of their own mother arguing with Agustín. It was clear she had noticed the door, and it sounded like he was keeping her from going up there herself.
At the sight of her daughters, she quickly turned her attention to them, loudly whispering, “What is going on?!”
They hesitated, and then like usual, Julieta spoke, “We don’t know Mamá. He’s not in there.”
“Well, whatever it is he’s done, we can’t let it stop us from going about our day. He’s bound to turn up at some point,” she told the two of them, but didn’t sound so sure. Pepa and Julieta shared a look that suggested they weren’t so sure either, but ultimately knew better than to question their mother.
Except they should have.
The day passed by and there was no sight of Bruno. The next morning came around and he wasn’t at breakfast. A drizzle had begun that gave way to a bout of rain that had an end seemingly nowhere in sight. The children began to catch on and started to ask, but each mention of their tío’s name sent another wave of fear and discomfort into the sisters. Each mention seemed to make their Abuela angrier as well. No one knew what to say or to do when little Mirabel asked if it had to do with her and her ceremony, as she was practically in tears at the possibility. She spent almost the whole afternoon by her mother’s side, Julieta attempting to occupy her mind by giving her tasks to help with in the kitchen instead.
After dinner, and once the kids were all put to bed, or at least left in their bedrooms, Alma requested to speak to her daughters again. They looked at their Mamá, hopeful she would have good news, but their faces fell when they heard what she had to stay instead.
“The night of Mirabel’s ceremony, I asked your hermano to look and see what it meant for our future. No one has seen him since,” she began. “Clearly, whatever he saw, he has decided it is more important to leave for himself instead of sharing it with the family so we can handle it together.”
Pepa thundered at that, “Mamá! How could you say such a thing?! We don’t even know-“ She was silenced as the woman held a hand up. Pepa didn’t want to express her annoyance, but the sound of more thunder betrayed her.
“We have never seen a door go dark, but I believe it’s safe to assume he has no intentions of coming back-“
Before she could continue, all three could hear a small gasp nearby. A flash of white and blue seen by the doorway told Julieta it was one of her own daughters, and she left to investigate once her mother told her that she had better handle that. Stepping outside of the room, she could see her daughter halfway up the staircase.
“Luisa.”
The girl froze, realizing she had been caught eavesdropping.
“I’m sorry Mami! I didn’t hear anything, I-I just wanted to get some water and heard talking…” she trailed off after trying to defend herself.
Julieta cocked an eyebrow, “So where’s that water then?”
Luisa’s face grew even guiltier at her mother’s words. The girl never did anything wrong, and the mere thought of getting in trouble brought tears into her eyes. Julieta rushed forward and picked the girl upwards.
“Oh, don’t cry, mi fuerza. Está bien. I know you’re worried, but just let us adults handle it okay? No need to mention it to anyone. Why don’t I bring you back to bed?”
Luisa nodded, and calmed down as her own mother carried her back to her room, tucking her into bed and giving her a kiss on the forehead. Julieta left, closing the door quietly. She expected to head back downstairs, but was instead met with the sight of her sister storming off towards her own bedroom with tears rolling down her face. Julieta watched as her own mother rolled her eyes at Pepa’s reaction and the rain that began to grow harder. Instead of speaking with her Mamá, she opted to go after her sister. Cleaning up after disaster was more her forte anyways.
“Pepa,” she knocked at the door, “May I please come in?”
For a minute, all she could hear was the sounds of her sister’s sobs, until finally the door opened and Julieta was met with the sight of a very concerned Félix.
“Would you mind giving us a moment?” she asked.
He hesitated, looking back at his wife sitting on their bed. He was met with wide teary eyes, and a small nod of the woman’s head. He relented, a small part of him understanding that it would not just be a moment. As the door shut, Julieta quickly rushed to her sister’s side, and Pepa practically collapsed into her arms, crying into the woman’s dress. It was not an unfamiliar position for either sister; Julieta could remember a countless number of times when she sat in this very same room holding onto Pepa just like this.
“Why?? Why would he leave us?” She cried.
“We don’t know for sure if he did,” Julieta tried to reassure.
“What if it’s my fault??”
The question made Julieta look at her sister incredulously, “That’s ridiculous, why on Earth would you think that??”
Pepa hesitated, she didn’t want to seem like a bad sister, “I yelled at him the other day. He scared Camilo in the middle of the night and I got angry with him, just like I always do!! And I was still mad when he left!!”
“I’m sure he knows you didn’t mean anything by-“
“I never mean anything by it!! I just, I can’t be mad ever, so then when I am mad, I get SO mad. And he’s just so easy to get mad at for the dumbest of things!!”
“Yeah, a hermanito can make an easy target. But he knows that you and your explosive temper never mean anything by it. Every time you get mad at it you show up at his room crying a few days later asking to be forgiven.”
“But he left! He left before I could! What if he really thinks that this is the time I truly hate him!! He’ll never know how much I love him!!”
“Pepa, I’m gonna need you to look at me okay? Can you do that? Can you see me?” Pepa looked up at Julieta, vision blurry from crying but still managing to stare her in the eyes,”Great. I’m going to need you to take a deep breath with me okay? Just breathe with me.”
Julieta always knew when her sister was spiraling, knew when they needed to stop so they could take a moment and prevent a full blown panic attack. Pepa nodded her head and listened to her, spending the next few minutes in silence as they two just took deep breaths together. Her breathing slowed, but the tears still flowed from Pepa’s eyes as her sister began to speak again.
“All we can know is that he’s not here right now. We don’t know why and it does us no good to speculate, but it likely has more to do with what Mamá asked him to see, not anything you may have said or done, okay? Just remember that.”
Her sister nodded again, slight sobs still leaving her mouth, but eyes drooping as well as the emotional toll of the day began to catch up to her. Julieta noticed, and shifted their focus to that instead, “Why don’t you try and get more comfortable so you can fall asleep okay?”
Pepa kicked off her shoes, letting them fall wherever on the bedroom floor, and took out her earrings. Julieta herself got to work on undoing her sister's braid and hair band, humming a familiar song softly as she ran her fingers through the other woman’s hair calmly and soothingly. Julieta took a moment to kick off her own shoes and pull the apron she was still wearing off so she could sit comfortably on the bed as well.
Her soft hums gave way to gentle singing, as Pepa finally recognized it as a lullaby her sister would sing to both her and Bruno when they were little and had nightmares. It brought even more tears to her eyes, but combined with the comforting presence of her sister it had her falling asleep in no time. And Julieta doesn’t mean to, she wants to check on her daughter again before the night ends, but her exhaustion catches up with her as well, the sounds of her sister’s rain on Casita’s roof is soothing, and she falls asleep next to her sister like they did when they were little.
Julieta wakes up early the next morning, cursing herself for falling asleep at all. She carefully pulls away from Pepa, slowly so as to not wake her up before heading outside of the room. Despite the rain that continued to pour outside, her sister seems to have slept through the night unbothered, and she’s at least grateful for that. She quietly walks over to the nursery to check on Mirabel, and finds that Félix seemed to have made use of the bed that his son had once occupied only months prior. When she wakes him up to ask him to swap places with her, she learns he took over comforting Mirabel last night so Agustín could also get some sleep, and she thanks him, freeing him from the task so that he could go take care of his wife instead.
The woman knows it’s the early morning, and she knows right about now she would usually be getting up to start breakfast for the family, but she can’t bring herself to leave her daughter. Especially not when the girl seems to scoot closer to her in her sleep the second she gently sits herself down on the edge of the bed.
The girl’s eyes flutter open a bit as she sees Julieta, and sleepily mumbles,“Mamá? I had a bad dream…”
“Shh, it’s okay mi vida, I’m here with you,” Julieta pulls herself together internally so that she could comfort her daughter, laying down fully so the girl could rest in her arms and fall back asleep.
It’s only an hour later when she is woken up by her own mother, who is clearly unhappy. Tells her she needs to speak with her, now . Julieta tells her she’s not leaving Mirabel alone, but Agustín was not far behind and was told to take over by his mother-in-law. The elder woman leads her own daughter back to Pepa’s room. Clearly she needed to talk with both of them again, but was unwilling to bring the other sister anywhere else with her rain cloud.
Pepa’s sitting on the edge of her own bed, fear in her eyes, and when their Mamá sternly tells Julieta to sit next to her sister, she understands that fear as she’s immediately transported back thirty-five years into the past when the woman would bring them up to her own room, sit them down on her own bed, and scold them whenever they were in trouble. It was uncomfortable to say the least. She feels her sister brush her hand against hers, clearly looking for some type of comfort, and she doesn’t hesitate to grab on as their mother begins.
“I know you’re both upset, we’re all upset by the events of the past few days, but it is not an excuse to neglect your responsibilities! Pepa, the crops are already starting to flood, and Julieta, you’ve fallen so far behind on your schedule today. God forbid someone gets seriously injured and you’re not prepared for it!”
Julieta, always the first to try and protect her siblings, spoke first, “Mamá, a lot has happened, you can’t expect any of us to have processed everything so fast.”
“Maybe so, but I don’t expect you all to fall apart so easily either.”
Pepa’s own cloud had been steadily growing the whole time, easily letting the other two know of her true feelings despite not having spoken a word. A flash of lighting cracked at her mother’s words, “W-we’re not falling apart. We lost our hermano. We have a right to be sad.”
“Please, Pepa, not falling apart? Just look at the size of your cloud,” And the cloud in question only got bigger at her comment, “Clearly he didn’t care enough about this family, and if this is the way talking about Bruno will make the two of you act, it’s better off we don’t talk about it at all.”
“But, Mamá that’s not tr-
“ Julieta! Do not argue,” the woman’s sharp voice cut her off, shutting her up instantly, “We should’ve seen this long ago, I mean he even ruined Pepa’s wedding all those years ago. We should have known. We are done talking about this, understood?”
Pepa opened her mouth to speak, to argue, to say anything, especially about the wedding comment. Both of the sisters were adults, they had their own voices that they knew they should be able to use, but neither one could gather the courage to say anything.
“I said, are we understood?”
Julieta didn’t acknowledge it, didn’t look at her mother, but rather at her sister beside her. Pepa’s eyes were shut, taking deep breaths in and out, and there was no doubt in Julieta’s mind that the only thought in her sister’s head was “clear skies” on repeat. She squeezed her hand to help ground the woman, her rain slowed down, and only moments later she opened her eyes and simply nodded her head in agreement.
Their mother seemed pleased at that, clearly eased by the fact that the more argumentative of her daughter’s had agreed with her, and left the sisters on her own. When Julieta turned to speak to Pepa, she met her eyes and saw a deep sadness, a numbness that disturbed her, and before anything could be said, the younger of the two told her she didn’t want to talk about it. They weren’t supposed to anyways.
And Pepa had decided she could do that. She had already become so used to pushing her feelings down for their Mamá, used to pretending she felt something she did not, so what was one more thing to shove down. Besides, if she could ignore it, she could numb it, maybe even change her feelings towards it one day. But for now if she didn’t have to hear it, didn’t have to feel it, then perhaps she could get her weather in control again too.
Julieta stood up, decided not to push at the moment, and took one last concerned glance at her sister before leaving the room. She took one look up at the sky outside. The rain was nothing more than a light mist. There were clouds up above, but none that thundered, just sitting there blocking the sun from breaking through. It was bleak, dreary, unexpressive, unlike her sister, and would stay that way for quite some time

Hi!I see you do matchups and I wanted to ask if you can match me up in Encanto?
Looks:I have short hair that reaches pass my neck.(Tho I'm planning to get my hair done into a mullet)I also wear glasses and the clothes I like to wear are lolita/old fashion clothes/butler type of clothes/Fancy clothes/vintage clothes/Dark & light academia.I also wear earrings,
I'm between tan and pale,my hair is black my eyes are a really dark shade of brown.
My age is 14,I'm gender fluid and bisexual or maybe pansexual...Not sure-
My personality is kinda complicated like I feel insecure about my pimples then I suddenly feel confident about my looks out of nowhere-
Tho at first I seem quite and calm and sometimes cold something like a kuudere tho I don't mean to look cold I'm just mentally panicking what to do in public.
If my close friends or best friends does tease me I'm more of a tsundere and easily gets irritated and pissed.Tho I can be reserved but never calm I would cling onto them when I'm nervous.
When it comes to relationship tho...I'm a himedere I prefer to be treated like royalty by my S/o,of course I would return the same gesture, tho since I can be tsundere it would be word of affirmation and quality time to repay them back.If I were jealous tho,I would either panic or be kinda clingy than usual. If our relationship magically lasted a year and more, then I'd be comfortable enough to give them kisses on the cheek and forehead,on the lips during marriage🤩
My hobbies are gaming/drawing/reading tho I can just be in one place where I would just daydream.I also like exploring and I do not like bugs and germs. If I'm confident enough I would sing if not I would just hum,I also love music tho I can't and dont know how to play an instrument I love listening to music!
Do please consider my math up when you have time, and stay safe:D
Your matchup is here!
I match you with...
Mirabel!
She would think all of the clothes you wear look amazing on you, and would constantly tell you that.
She would be your biggest supporter, comforting you when you feel insecure, and hyping you up when you feel confident.
She would understand you looking cold in public, but would always hold you hand and talk to you to get your mind off of being nervous.
I think that Mirabel would be a bit shy when it first came to you wanting to be treated like royalty, but would eventually do it subconsciously.
She would pick up on the signs of you being jealous and when she noticed it happen, she would be just as clingy as you, and would give you all of her attention. And she would be fine with giving you kisses from the very start!
She would encourage you to play an instrument, and would find someplace where you could learn!
Thank you for requesting!

Newly Bloomed (An Isabela Madrigal Short Story)
(This takes place right after the movie, I just thought this would be a cute little thing)
As the celebration of Casita’s rebuild started dying down, Isabela walked carefully to her shining door and smiled nervously. Her heart fluttered with relieving joy, as she sprouted plants of every shape and color around her door frame. Though she was thrilled, her nerves rushed like a train inside of her. It was difficult to believe she was finally able to express herself, to be imperfect. She wasn’t Luisa, but that didn’t mean she couldn’t feel the overbearing pressure that bogged her down for so many years. She could feel the townspeople’s eyes burning through her, she still imagined her abuela’s disappointment and anger towards her including Mirabel, how she said that she was “out of control”, though the problem seemed to be resolved, it didn’t calm her fears.
Cautioning, but anticipating the future, she finally opened her door and saw a bright array of cacti, wax palms, jacarandas, orchids, carnations, vines and other diverse plant life align her floor and walls. She walked through, scanning every bit of the new conservatory that was her living space. It was official, “La senorita perfecta Isabela” no longer existed, she was just “Isabela Madrigal” who was perfectly imperfect. The young woman who wasn’t always pink and pretty, the one who wasn’t a delicate little flower, this realization was both liberating and terrifying. She sat on her swinging bed that was now covered in bright splatters of yellow, blue and red, taking in the scenery allowing her mind to wander wherever it wanted to go. It was like she had to start all over, 21 years old and she still didn’t have a clue what her true identity was, but not many people did around that age. Though new colors were painted on her, she still felt like a blank canvas waiting to make something out of herself that she was satisfied with, if that was even possible. She was no longer what others wanted her to be and she felt free but on the other hand, she was disgusted and displeased with herself. There was always that voice in the back of her head scolding her for not being good enough and screamed at her for disappointing her family. Not only hers but Mariano’s as well, it’s true that she didn’t feel a connection with him and she was a part of the plan to try to match him up with Dolores, but deep down she felt as though him and his family despised her.
A soft knock on her door snapped her out of her thoughts causing her heart to jump a bit. “Hey Isa, just wanted to check on you.” She heard the familiar sound of her youngest sister’s voice that once filled her with displaced rage, now it made her a bit more relaxed and even happy. “You can come in.” Isabela greeted as Mirabel walked in, almost as taken aback by the new scenery as she was. “Cool new room!” She exclaimed, picking up a small cactus. “I love it too..” Isabella scooched over, gesturing for Mirabel to sit beside her. “Is there a reason you left the party early?” Though they misunderstood each other greatly, somehow Mirabel was able to read her like she could read all of the others. Isabela shrugged indifferently, “I just wanted to see if my room changed, and it did.” They both smiled softly, her sister looked at her cautiously, like she was trying to find the right words to say. “I hate to you know.. bring this up but, did you really hate me for all these years?” That question made Isa’s heart drop into her stomach, she looked downward and inhaled deeply wanting so hard to ignore her or run her out, but it wouldn’t do any good. “You don’t have to answer, I just... wanted to know.” Her sister said faintly, trying to avoid a possible conflict. Isabela breathed deeply and finally gathered the words to answer with,
“I was jealous of you, I thought you had it easy. With no gift, you didn’t have all the expectations put on you. You didn’t have to constantly work to make others satisfied, you weren’t being strained. I thought you were ruining the “perfect” image of our family too, but even I know it was fake.” Mira looked at her sympathetically. “Isa.. I’ve always felt like I had to work twice as hard to be appreciated and to be seen. Anytime I would try to help, everyone just thought I was getting in the way. This is the first time in such a long time where I feel like I am part of this family.. and I guess I was jealous too, I thought your life was everything everyone dreamed of.” Knowing how isolated her sister felt made all of those memories flood back to her, every time she would leave her out and act hateful towards her, it must’ve made Mirabel feel even worse without taking that into consideration. “I’m sorry Mirabel..” She pleaded softly as her chest seemed to tighten, she felt Mirabel’s hand on her shoulder in consolation. “It’s okay now.. we can start over. All of us are together and the foundation is strong again.” Isabela nervously played with the green streak in her hair, “I should’ve been a better sister.” Hope gleamed from Mirabel’s smile, “Well now you can be.. it’s never too late for change.. you’ve already made the first step.” Isa smiled back at her, pulling her into a hug. “Thank you... for everything.” she whispered softly as some of the plants gleamed brightly before they both returned to the rest of the family.

4, 10, 14, 18 & 31 ( for Bruno )
50 RANDOM CHARACTER QUESTIONS - ACCEPTING Bruno Madrigal 4- Talk about a happy experience. Bruno is particularly fond of his nieces and nephews. The kids were his joy. He can remember the first time Julietta handed him little Isabella, all wrapped up in a pink flower blanket, a single black cowlick hilariously sticking out from her little head. She had looked at him with the largets eyes he’d ever seen, and for those long minutes, Bruno felt as if he was holding something truly beautiful, something empty and unblemished, grains of sand yet to fall. Bruno loved being an uncle. It didn’t matter if he was awkward or weird to everyone else.
With Isabella, he would throw buckets of sand on the floor so that they could both draw shapes in the grains and build tiny castles.
Dolores was a quiet child, always watching and listening. Bruno enjoyed her quiet company, and would make up funny stories just to hear her giggle.
Luisa was an energetic child, who would often chase the rats around. Bruno taught her how to stay very still, until they came to her, showing her how to feed them and how to pay attention to their little moods. Camillo was always a little afraid of him and Bruno did his best to assuage those fears. He’d make up voices and personas, sometimes acting out whole One Man Shows for his nephew’s amusement. With Mirabel, Bruno collected bits and bobs to leave in places she could find. She showed an artistic flourish from an early age, watching and helping out where she could with the sewing and needlework. He would collect and leave out bits of string and buttons and watch in mild amusement as she snatched them up like they were the world’s best treasure. And then the kids would receive their gift, and for one reason or another, things would change. They had more responsibilities and less time to be kids, and the goofy little games he played were discouraged by his mother. But there was still nothing more important to Bruno than his family and even when he could no longer be in their lives, he watched and loved them from afar anyways. 10 - Pick a scar/injury you have/had and talk about how you got it. Bruno has several old scars on his hands from childhood. Most of them are from his attempts to befriend the Casita’s rats. Mamà tried for years to get rid of them and Bruno hated seeing the traps left around the house. He would often dismantle them himself (to the detriment of his fingers), or spend hours sitting by the cracks in the walls with a little ball of cheese, in hopes that he could somehow train the rats to stay outside of the household itself if he brought them enough food. 14- What do you do to relax? Bruno is a complete and utter sucker for telanovellas. He loves cheesy soap operas, and the often ridiculous concepts that exist in them. Since television isn’t easy to come by in the walls of the Casita, Bruno often makes up his own storylines and television shows.
18- What your favorite color? Foods? Weathers/Seasons? Favourite colors: yellow and blue Foods: Anything Julietta cooks. Especially her plátanos asados. Bruno might have a slight obsession with plantanes in general. Weather/Seasons: Whatever season or weather that doesn’t involve Pepa doing that...thing. You know the thing. Clear skies. Yeah, that thing.
31- Do you like candles? How many do you have and what scents? Bruno has many candles that he keeps on his person as part of his collection of ‘neccessities’ (this includes matchs, sand, salt, sugar, a mirror, a lucky rabbit’s foot, several medallions from various religions, and a horse shoe). However, he prefers unscented candles. Strong smells or overly perfumed things tend to distract him and make him feel ill.

“A child weaned on poison, considers harm a comfort.”
Y’all are probably sick of me right now but this muse right here, I’ve had for quite some time and she means a lot to me. I hope you find her as fun as I do.
Name: Odette Durand Age: 17 Hometown: Winnetka, lllinois. Alignment: Neutral Evil House: Slytherin
Picture a small, cherub looking child sitting on her back porch, enjoying the cool Illionois air as she licks happily away on an ice-lolly, watching the gardeners work tirelessly on the families vast garden, a content little smile on her face and her brown eyes tinkling with a slight hint of mischief and you have a picture of Odette Durand.
Her parents met when they were both attending Harvard. Her mother came from European money and her father came from American money, both families approve of the match and they were married their last year of college. It was only a year later that their first daughter Mirabelle was born and a mere four years later came along Odette.
Despite having two children, the Durand’s parents life revolved around their careers as relationship psychologists. The two girls left in the care of staff and nannies until Mirabelle was old enough to start attending boarding school and then it would be Odette’s turn once she became old enough.
Now can you a picture it? A girl on the verge of prepubescent, growing into her legs and struggling with her growing breasts walking through a large, empty home and wondering when her parents will be back, an email here and there doesn’t exactly suffice to a child who has craved love and attention from the moment she was born. So that’s when she decided to dye her hair blonde and make a change.
Like her sister and mother before her, Odette’s name had been down at Kingswood as soon as her mother’s pregnancy was announced. While Mirabelle flourished at Kingswood, Odette lacked the finesse that her sister. She was magnetic just in a different way. Where her sister was bright and bubbly, Odette was alluring whispered words and sweet, bubblegum smiles that always had something hiding behind it.
It was the summer before her Freshmen year that she discovered her perfect ruse, in the form of a church. There she appeared like the perfect little daughter, her newly dyed locks in sweet little pigtails and her summer dressed gently floating in the wind as she sang the hymns and helped organize the bake sales.
Yet while she sang the hymns and eagerly talked to the elderly each Sunday and most evenings, there was more to her than that. No, this girl in the summer dress thrived on chaos. She loved watching it unfold, seeing it happen around her, maybe even be the cause of it if she had the energy.
It was also during her Freshmen that she first let a boy touch her, and one thing led to another. She made them lie of course, she would never do something like that- not Odette Durand.. and that’s what she told every other boy after him. She enjoyed manipulating them, allowing them do things to her because it gave her all the control over them.
This young girl in the summer dress was wicked, no doubt about it but how did she fare with the likes of her fellow students? Well, sometimes her skirt was just a little too short but no one noticed because she wore a chastity ring, didn’t she? She’d been pushing for chastity club for years now. She’s probably just having a growth spurt, right?
Odette made a name for herself among her peers. Whether it be the church going girl who always had cherry bubblegum on her, or perhaps the girl who secretly climbs into your room of a night while whispering that no one can know or maybe she’s somehow made you unpopular? Wasn’t she just helping you though?
She’s an active student, involved in various activities around school though she has very little interest in most. It’s mainly to appear like the golden child among the teachers and even some students.
Hides behind a facade- is all sweet smiles, baby pink lipsticks and asking for help at the bake sale though some people have fallen victim to her more sinister nature, they’ve fallen into the chaos she thrives on and have never quite recovered.
Has very little time with her parents. They’re usually off working as they host couple retreats for people and still have very little interest in Odette. She also resents her sister who has always been considered the better Durand sister in Odette’s eyes, an impossible thing to live up to.
Honestly enjoys manipulating people and is proud of the facade she has built up for herself. Silently enjoying the fact that people believe this image she has created of herself.
Always has to control her narrative, she gives people the information she wants to, never giving too much away but never being closed off either.
Doesn’t drink or do drugs either. She always likes to be in control at all times.
So what will this year hold for the girl with the flowing blonde curls and the cherry pink smile? Only time will tell, but she always has some trick up her sleeves, so don’t underestimate the girl wearing the chastity ring, anything can be used as a weapon.
