It’s the Steven Crain’s who are hated, the Fiona Gallagher’s who are forced onto a pedestal, the Dick Grayson’s who are reduced to nothing but their mistakes and issues, the John Dory’s who is only ever the oppressor and never the oppressed, the Isabela Madrigal’s who are considered vain and self centered.

It’s the eldest child who has no one on their team because they are the leader, and that is either meant to be taken from them or only ever for them.

It’s the Kate Sharma’s and the Anthony Bridgerton’s. It’s the Bill Weasley’s and it’s the Dean Winchester’s. It’s the Eric Matthew’s and it’s the Elsa’s.

The eldest sibling whose mistakes are over analyzed or completely ignored, who are never seen as humans because they are something to claim or destroy. The first born who is never understood in media or by fans, maybe it’s because acknowledging the fact that they’re human means they aren’t perfect is too much. Or maybe it’s because acknowledge that they are human and therefore cannot be defined by their mistakes and the weight they carry is too much.

They are not allowed to be perfect and yet if they are anything but perfect the world would riot.

I was thinking about a possible au for Encanto and I want to see if anyone’s interested? The idea is pretty simple but I don’t think it’s been done before.

what if the madrigals all had gifts that were the “opposite” of their cannon gifts. For example instead of foresight Bruno would be able to see/go back in time, Either rewinding it or simply showing things in their former state. Dolores could have the power to dampen sounds, and Antonio could speak any language. I’m not sure about the others though.

if anyone has any ideas or wants to make this au themselves, you can go ahead I really don’t mind. If this has already been done please let me know and I will take this down :)

This feels like a shot in the dark, but i need help from the encanto fandom

I've been SEARCHING for a very specific fanfic and i just cant find it for the life of me

Its a Camilo centric fic, i don't remember a lot but i do remember Camilo getting dresses from one of the townsfolk and trying them on and dealing with discovering his gender identity (im pretty sure the dresses were some sort of donation or he was supposed to give them to his sister/cousins but he ended up trying them on and really liking it)

okay I just recently watched "Encanto" with my cousin. After the movie he just went "If Isabella and Luisa went into the videogame store, Isabella would have a copy of Doom Eternal while Luisa would be Animal Crossing"

What is your opinion on artists claiming the comparison between Asha and Isabella is racist? That they think it had to be racist that Asha and Isabella are described as to being alike.

It would be one thing if these are real life people and actors that are going through the "all brown people look the same" treatment, in which yeah that of itself would be racist

But they aren't. They are pixels. Animated characters that do in fact resemble one another when they really shouldn't. Disney animators designed these characters, meaning they of all people would understand the fundamentals in design philosophy. When it comes to creating character designs, there are a lot of factors to consider that most people in the industry had to learn. Although looking through concept art again, you can really tell Disney executives meddle with the overall look of the movie and the character Asha. (Although I will say one concept art was literally Isabella’s face but I digress)

I kinda explained what I mean in some of these reblogs and posts I made

But yeah, overall Asha’s design is very unoriginal and disappointing given the concept art we see of her in Amazigh clothing. If anything it’s racist on Disney’s parts for not pushing that mold just to play it safe
