I have, once again, made my dad (and also my mom this time!) listen to Will Wood.

First was "Laplace's Angel", which my dad described as "frantic." which is fair. Next up was "Vampire Reference in a Minor Key" because it's a beautiful song and I love it. My parents both thought it was nice, and my mom said the guitar parts of the song reminded her of musician Ottmar Liebert. I googled it, and turns out a guitar song I liked in elementary school was done by Ottmar Liebert, the more you know!

Last time I sent you an anon about playing Will Wood songs for my parents, you suggested I play "Let's Get You Home" since my dad likes Will's calmer songs. I took your advice! He seemed to think it was nice, but wasn't too particularly interested in it. I was reminded of how soft and emotional that song is.

My final song choice was "Marsha Thankk You". My dad was pretty curious about this one and asked me to read the lyrics to him after the song finished.

this is sort of a parallel tangent to that,, but ik will uses a lot of familiar motifs and melodies n shit (even his own ones too) across all of his music so i always think its interesting when he sounds familiar to another artist.. or like 15. (i often feel like i’d heard some of will’s songs before i’d heard them but i still can’t place what they remind me of. i’m talking about red moon and 5 names if anyone has any ideas)

-tbh his opinion of lets get you home is also very valid.. the first time i heard it i thought basically the same thing. and then i listened to it during a depressive episode at like 3 am and it changed my life and means a whole lot more to me now,,, same with falling up and white noise.. so yeah icimi i love you forever lol

-and marsha is another great choice (you rlly can’t miss with will though !!) and him asking you to tell him the lyrics after is SO real. my favorite line from that one (not including how the whole song just has an interesting vibe and meaning and etc etc) is “you could sing a pretty malady like a black canary, but a crow don’t know the smell of carbon monoxide.”

just. AHHHHHHHH i didn’t realize he said “malady” instead of “melody” for like a week at first but it still made perfect sense.. it just got Better when i realized it was a different word

Oracle, when said unknown begins to mess around in her servers and basically goads her into trying them: Oh it's on.

Oracle, when she conveniently hacks into said unknown's coordinates and finds it leading to an internet cafe, to which it then gets fizzled out by the unknown: Hm. I should tell someone.

The Justice League, after noticing that Mount Justice is currently being hacked in the middle of a debriefing:

Batman and Robin fighting against the hacker, with the new addition of Oracle who just, appeared out of nowhere: Oh, I know this guy!

Batman, narrowing his eyes: Explain.

Oracle, refusing to explain but instead manages to snag the unknown's current whereabouts while simultaneously wiping said whereabouts before the unknown (Who is currently distracted by Robin and Batman) could notice, while also downloading said location to Batman's suit all at once: I think they can do that for you.

Batman, relents and flows away from the computer and walks away from the Young Justice team: Superman, with me. Red Tornado, continue the debriefing.
