SEASONS lando norris x fewtrell sister pt.4 - january 7 2025

pt.1 pt.2 pt.3
Wordcount: 1936
The group was scattered across the slopes, each pairing off for a morning of skiing or snowboarding. Lando and Dylan had somehow ended up together after riding the lifts, and were carving through the snow in companionable silence. Lando had to admit Dylan was annoyingly good on a board, making it look effortless as he sped down the powdery trails.
At the bottom of the run, they paused to catch their breath. Dylan stretched his arms above his head, grinning. “Man, this is the life. It’s great you guys have been doing this every year.”
“Yeah, it’s the best,” Lando replied, adjusting his goggles. “You’re lucky you got the invite.”
Dylan laughed. “I guess I passed the test with her, huh?”
“Guess so.”
As they lined up for the next lift, Dylan turned to him. “Speaking of passing tests, she told me she’s thinking of taking that job in Japan. Pretty big deal for her, right?”
Lando froze. “Wait—what job in Japan?”
Dylan looked confused. “She didn’t tell you? It’s with her company. Some kind of high-level exchange position for a few months. She’s not sure yet, but we’ve been talking about it.”
Lando forced himself to stay casual, though his chest tightened. “You’ve been talking about it?”
“Well, yeah,” Dylan said. “If she goes, I’d probably go with her for a bit. There’s great boarding in Japan, so it’d be a win-win. But she’s still deciding.”
Lando didn’t respond immediately, pushing off as the lift began to carry them up the mountain.
“She didn’t mention it to me,” he said finally, not wanting to admit it.
Dylan shrugged, oblivious. “She’s probably waiting until she decides for sure. I mean, she’s got you, Max, her parents—it’s a lot of people to think about.”
“Right,” Lando said shortly, staring out over the snowy landscape. — Later that evening, the group was lounging in the cozy living room of the chalet, the fire crackling softly in the background. Dylan was engrossed in a card game with Max and some of the others, leaving you and Lando alone in the corner, sipping your drinks.
Lando leaned closer to you, lowering his voice. “So... Japan?”
You blinked, caught off guard. “What?”
“Dylan mentioned something about you getting a job offer in Japan,” Lando said, trying to sound nonchalant but failing. “You didn’t think that was worth mentioning to me?”
You sighed, swirling your drink. “It’s not set in stone, Lan. I didn’t want to make a big deal out of it until I decided.”
“Decided what?” His voice had an edge now. “Whether or not to move halfway across the world?”
You frowned, defensive. “It’s an amazing opportunity, Lando. I’m not saying yes or no yet, but it’s something I have to consider.”
His jaw tightened, and he set his glass down a little too hard on the coffee table. “What about the season? You’ve always been there—well, mostly. I can’t imagine doing it without you around.”
Your expression softened slightly, but your tone remained firm. “Lando, I wasn’t at every race last season, and you were fine. Look at your results!” You gave him a small smile, trying to lighten the mood. “You’re a superstar. You don’t need me there holding your hand.”
He stared at you, his lips pressed into a thin line. “It’s not about needing you to hold my hand. It’s...” He trailed off, running a hand through his hair. “You being there—it just makes things... easier. Part of my routine I’m used to”
Your brow furrowed. ‘’Part of your routine?’’
“I just… It’ll be weird without you around. You’ve always been there.’’
The sentiment was sweet, but there was something about the way he said it that made your chest tighten. “You’ll be fine,” you said, forcing a smile now. “You’ve got Magui, and Max, and the whole team. You’re not exactly lacking in support.”
“It’s not the same,” Lando replied, his voice barely above a murmur.
Your hand froze mid-reach for your drink. You set it down instead, the clink of glass against wood sharper than you intended. “What are you saying, Lando?”
He hesitated, like he hadn’t expected you to call him on it. “I’m just saying… you’ve always been part of this. Part of my life, my career. You get it in a way that—” He stopped himself, shaking his head. “I don’t know how to explain it.”
“Try,” you said, your tone sharper than he expected.
His brows furrowed, and for a moment, he looked like the boy you’d known all those years ago—earnest, vulnerable, and completely unaware of how his words could cut. “I guess I just… I need you. You’ve always been there, and I don’t know what it’s going to be like if you’re not.”
“You need me?” you repeated irritated. “Lando, I’m not going to Japan to sit on a beach. This is my career. My chance to do something for me. Do you even realize how that sounds?”
His eyes widened in confusion. “I didn’t mean it like that. I’m just saying—”
“You’re just saying you want me to put my life on hold so I can keep holding your hand through yours and be part of your routine?” you snapped, the words tumbling out before you could stop them.
Lando recoiled slightly. “That’s not what I’m asking.”
“Isn’t it?” you pressed, you voice rising. “You’re asking me to stay, Lando. To stay and make your life easier, while I give up something I’ve worked just as hard for. Do you know how selfish that sounds?”
“I didn’t mean it like that,” he said again, but this time his voice was quieter, tinged with guilt. “I just— It’s not easy, okay? Doing this. And I thought… I thought you understood that.”
You stared at him, your heart pounding in her chest. “I do understand. That’s why I’m still here, isn’t it? That’s why I’ve always been here. But you don’t get to ask this of me, Lando.”
His jaw tightened, and for a moment, you thought he might argue. But instead, he nodded, the weight of her words sinking in. “You’re right,” he said finally. “I’m sorry. I didn’t think.”
The tension in her shoulders eased slightly, but the sting of his words lingered. “I know you didn’t,” you said softly.
— Mexico, 29 november 2023
The shrill sound of tires screeching and the thud of impact echoed through the paddock speakers. Your breath caught in your throat as the screen showed Lando’s car slamming into the barriers, a plume of debris scattering across the track.
“Red flag. That’s Norris in the wall,” the commentator announced, their tone serious but calm.
You were already on your feet in the McLaren garage, staring at the screen with wide eyes. The replay looped, showing his car losing grip on the exit of a corner before careening into the barriers.
“Is he okay?” you blurted, your voice sharp with worry.
One of the engineers turned to reassure you. “We’ve got radio communication. He’s fine, just frustrated.”
The knot in your stomach didn’t ease until you heard his voice crackle through the team radio, muttering, “I’m okay, I’m okay. Sorry, guys.”
You exhaled, hands trembling slightly as you sat back down. He might be physically fine, but you knew how much this would rattle him mentally.
The energy in the hospitality area was buzzing with activity, mechanics and engineers rushing around to prepare for tomorrow. You made your way over to Lando, who was perched on a counter, still in his race suit, a bag of ice pressed against his shoulder. His helmet sat beside him, a little scuffed from the impact.
“You alright?” you asked, leaning against the counter beside him.
He shrugged, wincing slightly as the motion aggravated his shoulder. “Yeah, I’m fine. Car’s a mess, though.”
You shot him a look. “The car can be fixed. I’m asking about you.”
Lando glanced at you, his expression guarded but softening under your gaze. “I’ve had worse.” Then, with a self-deprecating chuckle: “Though I can’t say the engineers are thrilled with me right now.”
“They’ll get over it,” you said firmly. “They know you’re pushing to the limit—that’s what you’re supposed to do.”
“Yeah, well, limits don’t win races if you’re sitting in the wall during quali.” He leaned back against the counter, his jaw tight.
You didn’t let the tension linger. “Oh, c’mon, Lan. You’ve come back from worse. Remember last season? You started at the back of the grid and still finished in the points.”
A faint smirk tugged at his lips. “That was different. I didn’t stuff it in the barriers first.”
You reached over, grabbing a nearby energy drink can and tapping it lightly against his knee. “Then tomorrow’s your chance to remind everyone what you’re made of. You’ve got the pace, and we both know you love a challenge. Besides,” you added, grinning, “you’ll make the highlight reel if you pull it off.”
That earned a real laugh from him, and he tilted his head toward you. “You think I’ll pull it off?”
“I know you will,” you said, your tone unwavering.
Lando sat there for a beat, then hopped off the counter, dropping the ice pack onto the surface. “Alright, then I guess we will see.” —  The garage was absolute chaos. Team members shouted and high-fived, celebrating an incredible recovery drive. Lando had fought his way through the field with surgical precision, finishing in a stunning P5. The relief and joy in the room were palpable.
Lando barged into the garage, his race suit unzipped to his waist, hair a wild mess from pulling off his helmet. He was grinning ear to ear, waving a bottle of champagne in the air.
“P5, baby!” he shouted, and the room erupted in cheers again.
You were standing with Max and a few others when he spotted you. “Oi, don’t act like you’re not impressed,” he called, pointing at you with the neck of the champagne bottle.
You crossed your arms, pretending to look unimpressed. “P5? Meh, could’ve been P4 if you’d overtaken Gasly one lap earlier.”
Lando strode over, uncorking the bottle with a loud pop and spraying it wildly, catching you and a few nearby engineers in the crossfire. You shrieked, laughing as the cold champagne hit your face and jacket.
“Alright, alright!” you yelled, holding up your hands. “You win, Norris! P5 is pretty damn good!”
“Damn right it is,” he said, grinning as he took a swig straight from the bottle, still dripping champagne. “You doubted me for a second, didn’t you?”
“Never,” you replied, swiping the bottle from his hand and taking a sip yourself.
He raised an eyebrow, clearly amused. “That’s mine.”
“Not anymore,” you quipped, handing it back to him with a smirk.
The atmosphere was electric, the team chanting and laughing around you both. It wasn’t long before the post-race interviews started pulling people away, but Lando lingered for a moment.
“Hey,” he said, leaning in so you could hear him over the noise. “Thanks for, you know, earlier. Couldn’t have done it without your support.”
You glanced at him, surprised at the sudden sincerity in his voice. “What are you thanking me for? You’re the one who clawed your way back.”
He gave a small shrug, “Yeah, but you’re always there. Even when I’m a proper idiot.”
You rolled your eyes, though your smile betrayed you. “You’re always a proper idiot.”
He laughed, holding up the champagne bottle. “Guess it works for me.”
“I guess it does.”

First Anniversary
‘Cheers!’
They clinked their glasses together over fond smiles across the table.
‘I can’t believe it’s been a year,’ Remus sighed a nostalgic sigh. ‘It’s been- well it’s just been the best.’ He reached across the table, ‘I know I don’t say it enough, that it’s not really our thing to talk like this but-‘ he swallowed, ‘Everything we’ve done this year, the books, the late nights, it’s meant an awful lot and I was hoping that-‘
Well, well, well.’ The sound of the kitchen door slamming shut made them both jump. ‘Isn’t this cosy.’
‘Sirius!’ Remus stammered, ‘I thought you were out with James!’
‘I was.’ Sirius crossed his arms. ‘I missed you. So I came home. Looks like you didn’t have the same problem though does it, Remus? It didn’t take you long to replace me.’
‘Oh do shut up, Sirius.’ Regulus rolled his eyes and turned back to pick up his glass of squash. ‘Sorry, Remus, you were hoping that…?’
‘That I could borrow your unabridged copy of Moby Dick,’ Remus mumbled, still sounding guilty. ‘I dropped mine in the bath. Sirius, love, I can explain!’
Sirius ignored him. ‘Why are you here?’ he demanded, pointing at Regulus who looked back, bored.
‘In case it had escaped your notice, brother, but I am here quite a lot of the time.’
‘Yes, but to see me! And now I come home to find you fraternising with my husband!’
‘We’re not doing anything!’ Remus rushed on to say. ‘Okay, that’s not true but you have to promise not to be upset. You’re still my absolute favourite Black brother, I swear on your arse, and you know how much I love your arse.’
Sirius gave him a shrewd look. ‘Hmm,’ he stuck his tongue out at Regulus. ‘You do love my arse. But I promise nothing,’ he added.
‘It’s our anniversary,’ Remus said quietly, getting to his feet and coming up to Sirius, uncrossing his arms so he could take his hands in his own. ‘A year ago today Regulus and I, we- we started a book club.’
Sirius gasped. ‘Without me?!’
‘Can you even read?’ Regulus started but Remus shushed him with an imploring look.
‘It means nothing, baby. It’s just for fun and-‘
‘Hey!’ Regulus stood up too, looking indignant. ‘You were just saying how much it meant to you! What was that? A lie?’
Remus paled further, ‘No! I-‘ his gaze flickered between the two brothers. ‘Reg, I didn’t mean-‘
‘So it did mean something!’ Sirius wrenched his hands free from Remus’.
‘When I suggested we read a book together and discuss it you literally told me you couldn’t think of anything more boring!’ Remus sounded desperate now.
‘Oh so I was second choice then was I?!’ Regulus crossed his arms too, mirroring his brother. ‘Well that’s just charming.’
‘Well it would have been nice to be invited to your little gatherings anyway!’ Sirius said at the same time.
Remus sat back down and thunked his head on the table. ‘I’m too old for this.’ He got up again, the chair screeching across the tile and without another word walked out the room.
Sirius and Regulus looked at one another.
‘Well that was fun!’ Sirius said brightly and uncrossed his arms. ‘You want to stay for dinner?’
‘Oo yes please!’ Regulus plonked himself down in Remus’ vacated chair and kicked his legs up on the table. ‘Should we make Remus get us takeaway?’
‘Oh definitely.’

Regulus heard a light knocking on his door, which was weird because he wasn't expecting anyone. He took his headphones off and got up from his desk where he was supposed to be studying. He was actually just watching random youtube videos, so he really didn't mind an excuse to get up from his desk.
He walked his way over to his door, opening it and expecting to see Evan or Barty, maybe even Sirius.
"James?" Regulus really did not expect it to be James at his door. "What're you doing here? Is everything alright?"
"Well, I promised myself I wouldn't do this," he began pacing up and down in Regulus's room, "but I've been going insane and I actually cannot concentrate on anything anymore." He stopped pacing and looked Regulus dead in the eyes, his stare a little intimidating. "What is going on between us?" James sighed, seeming to deflate a little as he said it.
Regulus shut his door, deciding that his whole floor didn't need to hear whatever this was about to be. He turned and faced James, brows creased and squinting slightly, "what the hell are you on about?"
This seemed to be the wrong question to ask, because James huffed out a laugh and scrubbed his palms over his face. "What am I on about?" He turned and took a step closer to Regulus. "We nearly fuck, you completely ghost me, we don't speak to each other for 4 months and now I'm invited to your birthday? So you care to explain any of that logic to me?" James was sounding mildly hysterical at this point, his voice getting more and more strained as he spoke. His eyes had a desperate, slightly insane, look in them that Regulus just could not ignore.
"I got busy. I don't know what else to say." Regulus shrugged nonchalantly, sitting down on his bed and nodding his head to urge James to do the same. He did not.
"And I'm supposed to believe that? What could have possibly happened that would make it so you couldn't even give me an hour? Couldn't even text me?" James seemed to be getting more and more frazzled as he spoke, looking very close to ripping his own hair out.
"I've had school, I don't know what else you want me to say. I'm busy." Regulus curled his knees up into his chest and tried to convince himself that he was telling the truth.
"I think you forget that we have the same schedule." James started to walk from the middle of the room towards Regulus. "We both do 6 classes, quidditch, prefect duties and have a social life. So please tell me what it is that is taking up all your free time that means we can't just hang out." He sighed and finally sat on the bed, his back to the wall and legs stretched out in front of him, feet dangling over the edge.
"There's a lot of school work, James. It's my first year of N.E.W.T.S, so it's a lot." Regulus began picking at the skin on the side of his thumb. He really wasn't lying that he was busy, but he was maybe, just slightly, over-stating just how busy he actually was. The truth was that whatever him and James had scared him. So he ran. He stopped asking if James could come over and started telling James he was busy whenever he asked.
"Hey, stop that." James slid his hand in Regulus's to stop him from pulling at a loose hangnail he'd found. "And I told you, I'm more than happy to just sit and work together. Beats trying to revise with your brother any day." James smiled, heartbreakingly sincere. "Besides that doesn't explain why you invited me to your birthday. That's the bit I've been going a little bit insane over."
That was fair. In truth, Regulus didn't know why he had invited James either. It was just a spur of the moment thing and before he could properly think it through, he'd already sent the invite. He could choose the lame excuse and just say that he had invited Sirius, so he had to invite the rest of them. But that wasn't true, he didn't have to invite Sirius. He didn't even have to have a party, but he missed James and Barty said it was the easiest excuse to see him again. Clearly he didn't account for whatever the hell this was.
So he decided to be truthful, "I wanted to see you." Regulus refused to look anywhere close to James's direction, instead he chose to stare at his bedsheets and count the amount of stars he could see.
James was quiet for a while, Regulus didn't want to know what he was thinking.
"You wanted to see me?" He quietly asked, forcing Regulus to look at him. Regulus was a little surprised to see how serious he looked. Suddenly all of the busy energy around him died. "You could see me at any time though? You know that." James was leaning closer and was now holding Regulus's hand with both of his.
Maybe everything wasn't as complicated as Regulus previously thought.

Taken - Zutara - Part 80
First / Previous / Next / Masterpost
Zuko thought things were going well with Azula.
...
Who was he kidding? It was a complete mess.
Very day, he brought her dinner, sat to have tea with her, in what was supposed to be a temporary room. Azula hadn't spoken in three days, not since she told Zuko to get out after Aang... And, well, she also refused to leave. She sat on the floor, looking at the light coming through the slats of the high windows.
She didn't ever look at him. She didn't ever speak.
But he would keep trying.
He told her about his efforts, when he felt could. Their battle-front-to-farmland project was actually coming along nicely. The returning soldiers were fitting back into life on the islands. And some of the colonists were starting to come back, without being prompted. From what he could tell, they were back on track to where they had been when Fire Lady Ilah had been taking care of things.
And each day, Zuko would look at his sister, and ask if she had any ideas. If it would help the nation, he would love to hear it.
He never got a response.
When Aang left with Toph, he left behind a rather... interesting invitation. He knew Aang had been looking forward to what happened after the war, even when they were in the midst of planning the invasion. But to find out he and Keui had been planning this...
The Four Nations Peace Summit, beginning the day his father would have burned the world.
"He has good intentions," Uncle tells him. He's pouring more tea. Oolong again. Zuko's chest aches. "To show the world that you will not follow the path of Ozai. The comet will pass, with no fire leaving your fingertips."
Zuko sat and drank his tea. "Do you think Katara will be there?" The question slipped out without meaning to.
Uncle grinned. "I'm sure Princess Katara will join her father and brother at the Peace Summit. Perhaps her mother, as well."
"When I go," Zuko started, then paused. Swallowing, he tried again. "While I'm at the Peace Summit, will you be regent?"
"It would be my honor, Fire Lord Zuko."
Smiling a bit, Zuko sipped the tea. "When everything is finally put together, will you return to your shop? The one in Ba Sing Se?"
He hummed. "If it is an option, I certainly would like to. Perhaps I could buy a place in the upper rings."
Zuko hummed back. "Would you be my ambassador to the Earth Kingdom?"
Startled, Iroh choked on his tea. He gave a few hacking coughs. "Nephew, I'm honored, but is that truly a good idea? I once tried to invade Ba Sing Se. I laid seige for six hundred days."
"I know," Zuko said, looking down at his cup. "But I can't think of anyone else in the Fire Nation that would do a better job. Keui may be older than me, but he's less experienced in politics. He could use your wisdom, more than I do, maybe. And if you're the ambassador, you'll spend a lot of time in the Earth Kingdom. You could have your tea shop."
"Nephew..." Iroh paused, taking a moment to breath deeply. "Thank you, Zuko, for thinking of my wants. I will think about your offer."
"That's all I ask, Uncle."

male reader x claggor going on a date? maybe baking at home?
Claggor baking date
The first time you met Claggor was at Vander’s bar, where the air was thick with smoke and the hum of chatter. You’d just finished a long day hauling cargo in the Lanes, sore and tired, when he slid into the seat next to you.
“Rough day?” he asked, his voice warm and unassuming, like he wasn’t prying but genuinely cared.
You glanced at him, noting the friendly smile beneath his cap and the kind gleam in his eyes. “Something like that,” you replied. “What about you?”
“Oh, nothing too bad. Just here to grab a drink for the road. Though…” He chuckled softly, a sound that was contagious. “Seems like you could use some company more than me.”
That’s how it started: a conversation that stretched into an unexpected friendship. Claggor was easy to talk to thoughtful, patient, and with a knack for making you laugh just when you needed it most. Over the weeks, you found yourself looking forward to his visits, and soon enough, he invited you over to his place for what he called “a quiet evening.”
“It’s nothing fancy,” he’d said, scratching the back of his neck, “but I thought we could bake something. I’ve been wanting to try this bread recipe, and it’d be more fun with you around.”
At Claggor’s Apartment
His place was small but cozy, tucked away in one of Zaun’s quieter alleys. The kitchen was modest but neatly organized, with a worn wooden table at the center and mismatched chairs.
“Alright,” he said, rolling up his sleeves with a grin, “ready to be my sous chef?”
You raised an eyebrow. “Pretty sure you’re supposed to bribe sous chefs, not boss them around.”
“Bribe, huh?” He opened a cupboard and pulled out a small bag of candy. “Will this do?”
“Depends—what kind of candy?”
“Chocolate drops.”
“…Fine. You’ve got yourself a sous chef.”
The next hour was spent mixing ingredients, laughing as flour dusted the air like snow. Claggor was surprisingly meticulous, double-checking every step in the recipe and pausing to explain little tips.
“Make sure the water’s warm but not too hot,” he said, handing you a bowl. “Otherwise, the yeast won’t activate.”
“Got it. No killing the yeast.”
He chuckled, his expression soft as he watched you measure the water. “You’re better at this than you let on.”
“You mean I’m good at following instructions?”
“No, I mean you’re… good at this.” His voice was quieter now, almost shy. “It’s nice, you know? Doing something simple like this with you.”
You felt your cheeks warm, but before you could respond, he gestured to the dough. “Alright, now we knead.”
Later That Evening
The bread was rising in the oven, filling the kitchen with a warm, yeasty aroma. Claggor poured you both a glass of water and sat across from you at the table.
“You know,” he said, fidgeting with the edge of his sleeve, “I wasn’t sure if you’d say yes when I asked you to come over.”
You tilted your head. “Why not?”
He shrugged, a sheepish smile tugging at his lips. “I don’t know. You’re just… I don’t meet people like you often. Thought you might think baking bread was boring.”
You laughed, shaking your head. “Claggor, you’re literally the least boring person I’ve met in Zaun.”
His face softened, and for a moment, the world outside seemed far away. “Thanks. That means a lot.”
The oven timer dinged, breaking the moment. He stood, pulling out the bread with careful hands, and set it on the counter to cool. It wasn’t perfect—lopsided and a little overbaked on one side—but you both agreed it tasted incredible.
As the evening wound down, Claggor walked you to the door.
“Thanks for tonight,” you said, lingering in the doorway.
“Anytime,” he replied, smiling gently. “Let’s do this again soon.”
And when he leaned in for a hug firm and warm, like he was trying to say all the things he hadn’t yet you knew you’d gladly bake bread with him a hundred more times.

anyway related to my "gullible" post i do think bonnie didn't really have a lot of friends / any good friends. i'm taking a watsonian approach to "some of the things bonnie does seem more like age 5-8 than 10-12", and a doylist approach to "everyone in this party grew up kinda lonely and feels disconnected from their peer group"

#went onto one of my fics to familiarise myself with interactions before continuing to tackle a planned sequel#saw someone else had bookmarked it and went :DD and got even more excited to see it had been bookmarked with a comment#buut the comment was just like 'i mean it was alright' which isn't shattering criticism but it's like#i spent 2 weeks writing and editing and tying myself in knots and worrying about the depiction of characters in that fic#it's one that i'm actually quite proud of and am putting a lot of effort into the follow-up and trying to maintain the same tone#why would someone bother to bookmark it if it just felt average -- moreover why bother to say that?#i've seen worse ones#like i understand that you're not going to like every single fic in existence but unless people ask for feedback#you don't need to leave your critical review in a comment that the author can see#and i know how i've worded it may sound conceited#but some i've seen very much carry the same vibe as being invited in to someone's house and dumping spaghetti bolognese on their carpet#like if you're not a fan either don't accept the invitation or politely leave instead of posting a pic on social media#with a caption of how much of a state the house was#it just baffles me why someone would bookmark something they didn't thoroughly enjoy#anyway#shoutout to the fantastic people who leave lovely comments on fics and in bookmarks and put a smile on fic writers' faces you're all swell#even just a !!!!!! makes my day <3#personal#lit talks

can't believe all my roommate's friends were so actively working against me when it came to who gets the big room with the balcony attached to it and in the end she actually got it....
#we agreed to make it fair by drawing lots for it#but i ended up suggesting to use the spinning wheel generator so that it's really up to luck#and i can't believe i shot myself in my own foot with this bc she actually got the big room#even though in the beginning of the year i asked if i could have it when the other roommate moves out#(we knew for a while that she'd move out in summer)#but then my roommate asked if we could draw lots maybe and i said yes bc i didn't wanna be an asshole 😭#but now she actually got the big room and now i kinda regret not putting my foot down and claiming it#bc on my side everyone told me i could just say that i've been in the flatshare the longest and therefore i could claim the room#but idk i wanted to be nice and look where it got me#it's not the end of the world bc my current room is still nice it's just the smallest#but i'm really complaining abt nothing ig#at least i'm saving money on rent 😅#but the big room would have been saur nice tbh....#and the fact that my windows still fave the balcony and now the roommate who constantly invites friends over has the balcony .........#you see where i'm getting at 😵‍💫#let's hope i'll get some good sleep the next few week before it's too cold to be on the balcony CJSJCHS#but yeah with her friends working against me i also mean that a lot of them smoke so apparently they told her that she should get the room#bc she smokes and has friends that smoke as if i am not worthy of a balcony bc i don't smoke like 🫠#idk i felt like i was the only nice on in the scenario who was willing to play fair even though i didn't have to and her friends were still#lowkey pissing on my leg behind my back yk#she was nice about it but her friends get the side eye from me abt the whole thing 😶#sorry for the rant#delete later#000

had the most miserable experience today.
#Got invited to the party of someone I know and like well enough. And it ended up being a lot of people younger than me which is fine#But I also felt a little left out#And it wasnt like the kind of younger than me where they like need help playing the games and stuff#Oh also all of them were from a church youth group so that adds something#And I wanted to leave at 5:30. But my sister wanted to stay a while longer so we stayed.#And somehow my brother showed up#Well I know how he got there but he wasnt supposed to come#But I had to wait even longer since there were then 3 people I had to take home. But my brother told me he wanted us to go to the store to#buy a plushie for his girlfriend#Which on the surface is very cute. But it actually sucks bc his girlfriend is a secret.#And on the way to the store. I already wanted to go home but the party host called my sister bc my sibling left their phone at the party#And my sister said 'oh we will just turn around' but I was eager to get home and I said to the sibling who lost their phone that they shoul#pay me a couple buck s for the gas to make a return trip to the party. Also I had eaten a cookie that was contaminated somehow while I was#driving so here I was trying to coordinate getting the phone back and also trying to not ingest the rancid tasting cookie AND trying todriv#And I ended up hitting the curb loudly while getting into the parking lot at the store. My sibling who lost their phone got out of the car#And started to walk away. I raced after them and they told me that they were just going to go home#I told them no way in hell was I letting them go in the dark by themselves with no phone. They did agree to come back with the rest of us.#but very grudgingly#We got the plush of fucking course he picked the most massive one. And I had to pay bc he didnt have cash on him. And I cant even vent to m#mom abt this bc explaining this would mean letting out abt my brothers girlfriend and he already fucking hates me so that would only make y#Life worse. And I dont know how he has a girlfriend bc he is so mean to me and I dont know why anyone would find him compelling#And hes 5 years younger than me and I've never dated. I'm not exactly in a rush to date but I'd like to have SOME experience.#And hes been dating her for a while too. I told him he cant just have this covered for him forever hes gonna have to come clean one day#And so I'm reeling and having an awful time mentally bc I think I've severely hurt the feelings of the one sibling who likes me#And I had to go to the store when I really just wanted to go home and I had my sister giving pointed comments abt my decisions and the fact#Might have been poisoned by a rancid cookie and I have no one to tell abt this and to top it all off I feel like none of them even understa#How incredibly stressful and awful this made me feel#I am simply not going to take them places for the next month unless I absolutely have to#Bc thats the only power I have in this situation#Also my most minor guilt is I set out to post less vents on tumblr. And this is a vent so :(

"give me a beer, a lullaby, and a word in my ear" -guy at a speed dating event in my dream
#dream log#also had a dream that this green alien came up to me on the street and like wanted me to pick it up and take it somewhere#the like video game objective changed to#changed to go home#but i didnt know where that was so i just started running#but as i. running the alien is like bouncing and it starts blushing#and later when i put in down to kind ageg my bearings its like super wet#between the legs and im like. oh man i think i need to fuck this thing#and i know theirs a game mechannic where you can have sex in bushes and stiff but im like 'no ill just go home first' but when i pick the#alien back up i get a 'failed objective' notification cause i never made it home i guess :(#and another dream. i was back in middle school math. there was a seat that was right infront of and right next to two people i was friends#with plus super close to my crush (other side of my friend) and there was a guy sitting there#but he was like. literally a fly. so i snapped and he just dropped dead.#and i got to sit there. my friend then was like “see this?” and pointed to her lip#and i wa slike “yeah” even though i didnt see anything#and she was like “you can hide a lot of your burdens but you cant hide a hickey” and i was like. man. am i supposed to do somehting sbout#that? idk im pretty sure this is a dream. did she actually say this to me before? am i supposed to do somehting now?“. but then the dream#ended#THEN these are out of order but then i had a dream i was in some sort of summer camp thing? people kept going home. my friend M. went home#home and left me a bunch of her clothes. one of the guys asked some sort of question about sleeping with him. and i was like “no? lol.”#then i invited a different guy to come watch me change and that first guy was i guess also in the room and was like “you know people can se#you through the window right?“ and i was like ”duh. its ohio. thats kinda the point.“#so. whatever that one means.#THEN last one THEN my cousin drove me to an abandoned trailer to explore and it had “too lo” or something spray painted on it or somehting#so then he finished the word to say “too long” or somehting of that nature. and then spray panted the handle of the door blue#and we went in side but the inside was all done up? like really fucking fancy#the kitched was completely lainted in this van gogh style and my cousin goes “this isnt haunted... its fixed up.”#so wel left. i think be showed me something else before that too but i dont remember#in the summer camp one i spent a long time trying to find these snake/pomegranate earings? they were blue abd green
