We are all psychos (think like Italian mafia omertà shit). Most of us are depressed and/or anxious. We tend to be overthinkers and grumpy cats, but when we care about things/animals/people we CARE. But once people made effort, and we got to know each other better, every single one of them went “Jesus I thought you were a huge bitch, but you’re just a really emo-witchy-goth-teddy bear, aren’t you”. And it took me a long while to accept that yes, I am, I am actually a teddy bear but I also grew up in an Eastern European post-Soviet khrushchevka and had 3 older male cousins, so if you look at my best friend wrong, I will fucking shank you.

And as for Yoongi, when my bff first introduced me to BTS she said “oh you guys are so alike, he reminds me of you a lil too much” and I was like sure Jan at first, but then the puzzle pieces started making sense??? Down to the “raised by strict parents and starting to hit their stride once closer to their 30s” thing.

Okay, so my team lead (47m) was making me (26f) super uncomfortable touching and caressing me every time he walked past my desk. He’s always given me a gross vibe since we’ve been here but today he really turned it up cause it’s his last day before changing sites. I dreaded asking him for help and the last time I did he came and laid his head on my shoulder and asked to see me without my mask on and was just wildly inappropriate. He KNOWS I don’t like it, I always pull away and am visibly disgusted and say stop! We are independent contractors doing travel contracts 🌎✈️, and getting someone in HR’s attention can be so tedious. Pretty much a different state (or 3) each month. I tell the girl next to me who I had befriended that he was making me uncomfortable and she just gives me a blank stare and as soon as I take my lunch she ran to him to tell him and warn him of any repercussions if i were to take action! I was shocked. Turns out altho she has a bf she cheats on him constantly and I think she may be fucking the team lead as well. Things I wish I had taken note of that may have tipped me off that we were incompatible as friends and do not share the same moral compass before I befriended her:

- she prides herself on being tomboyish and LOVES sports and watching the game at bars with men like ‘one of the guys’. When we went out to a bar she was screaming at the tv watching the game like a man.

- I now realize she thinks it’s cute to have a roster of men (low value included) and to have sex with them on a rotation, like being a player or a pimp. Female pumps are so classless and tasteless to me. She was annoyed one of her bfs was sending her paragraphs of adoration and asked me if I WANTED him. Like an old pair of sneakers! - she constantly says she is ‘so private’ but you can learn way too much from her IG bio and posts!

- yesterday she tried to make me feel bad for not being ‘hood enough’, speaking proper English and overall being bougie and constantly commented aloud and drew attention to how I’d drink Diet Coke, avoid processed sugars/junk food, and I eat charcuterie boards. So I started hiding my Diet Cokes in my lunchbox.

I thought because we are both in a six figure job and starting up small businesses that we’d mesh well and just have different personalities. But I may be wrong and I think it’s time to reel it in and re evaluate friendships on my journey. I have a very small circle with only the closest of friends and I think this was a reminder to continue to focus on me in my journey. The wrong friendships can cause us to regress.

Grabbing a tissue, you wipe the remaining tears from your eyes, ignoring the dried tear stains on your cheek. Your hand slams onto the bedside table, lazily feeling for your phone. Tilting it towards your face, you sigh at the empty lock screen, accepting defeat. Flicking through the rest of the book, you are welcomed by pages and pages of white. “So that’s when I gave up on this diary...” you mutter to yourself as you lift yourself up from your bed. Heading towards your desk, you absentmindedly grab yourself a pen, notebook in hand. Slamming the diary down, you open it up to the next entry page after your last one, gently placing the tip of your pen on the first line. It’s been a while hasn’t it? Holy shit, all my entries were about Tsukki weren’t they? Jesus, of course they were. At least I was able to get it off my chest this afternoon. Telling him that I’ve been in love with him for years, that was fucking terrifying. Telling him that although I know he’s an ass, an animatronic dick complete with ballsack, that won’t stop me from falling harder, it was gut wrenching, but also relieving to a certain degree. I’m still waiting for some form of response, although I’m not sure I’m gonna get one anytime soon. I can’t decide whether telling him was the dumbest or bravest decision I’ve made. Maybe it was both. Just wait until I look back on this entry like a decade later and still cry about it lmao. Tbh he’s a genuinely nice person at heart. I know that all too well. He may be an ass most the time, and he may think I’m annoying, but despite how hard he tries to push me away, I’ll never abandon him. Jesus Christ, I sound like a yandere here, but it’s not that. It’s that I care for him a lot. Maybe even a bit too much. It’s ridiculous how absolute and utter shit a crush can make you feel.

Throwing the pen down, you flop back onto your bed, huffing into the thick blankets. You stay silent, not sure of what to think of the situation. “I’ll just deal with it all tomorrow, I’m tired of this shit.”

On the other side of the incident, Tsukishima is currently going through a mental crisis.

But as he stares at his wall, the photos of the two of you framed and balanced on his floating shelves, he starts to reconsider his feelings.

The way your expression faltered then as you hastily took your bag and rushed away without a single word, the way you avoided him in the halls, the way you stopped talking to him throughout the day, it drove him crazy. He couldn’t handle the realisation that he hurt you so incredibly badly, so now all he can do is stare at his empty, blank wall. Did he know why he felt that way? No. He didn’t and still doesn’t. He’s Tsukishima fucking Kei, the emotionless, provoking, unlikeable king, yet a mere girl is somehow able to mess with his mind so badly, that all he can do is wallow in regret and confusion? What is this weird feeling? His throat itches, his heart is beating like crazy, sweat starting to gather around his temples. He clamps his two hands together, slamming his forehead onto them and squeezing his eyes shut.

How could I have been so dense?

How was he unable to see that you were absolutely in love with him? Even with the bento boxes, birthday gifts, constant compliments, he still only ever thought you liked him as a friend. However he never did. He likes you more than that. Way more. Yes, he thought, and still thinks you can be annoying at times, especially when you nag at him about not eating enough or being rude, but it was undeniable that there was something else he felt. But his stupid ass shitty ego would never let him admit it. And now that you finally confessed, he freaked out and fucked up. Even then, he didn’t think it would affect him to this extent.

“It was a stupid middle school crush, I’m over you (Y/N).”

He says that over and over again, desperate to cloud out the disagreeing thoughts in his head that scream otherwise.

He doesn’t deserve to do that. His heart is begging for him to just get out of the house and run to yours as fast as he could, but his body won’t move. He wants to cry. Scream. Shout. Throw something. Shatter something. But most of all, he wants to get another chance.

Picking up his phone, he hesitates, before typing in your contact, the cleared out, empty chatroom showing up on his screen. Going as fast as his fingers could, he typed out the one sentence he’s been dying to let out.

Ok so don’t crucify me lol. But I get uncomfortable with some statements some people make about age difference. I was 22 when I met my future husband who was 30. We were adults and no he didn’t “groom” me. I was sick of frat boys in college. I wanted a man who was already educated and working. We had religion, politics, and other common interests. And he always let me be exactly who and what I was. We dated each other and other people for a few months before becoming committed. We dated for 5 years and have been together now for over a decade with 2 kids. We put up with all sorts of comments, but at the end of the day we chose each other and still do every day. I just can’t stand how everyone thinks they get to make judgements and throw the words abusive, groomer, or pedophile around. If it’s not illegal and consensual, and there abuse or manipulation, it’s no one’s business but your own. Anyway I had to leave Twitter because so many kids are just throwing around those words. Tumblr is almost as bad. Anyway like I said, don’t crucify me but not every relationship fits into a neat politically correct box, and some of them still work 🤷‍♀️

I completely agree. I’ve said before my sister is a year older than me and so under 30 and her now husband is in his 40s. My sister was super over guys our age like she’s a very Austen heroine type girl - modern lol but fundamentally - and really fancied herself as a wifey first and foremost (she loves her job but like also loves cooking and entertaining and like idk being a wifey). Guys our age don’t generally want that and/or don’t have the disposable income to like allow for that. Like they couldn’t woo her and pursue her in her fantasy way and it might seem silly but it’s what she wanted, like she wanted a guy who sends her flowers and does extravagant gestures and has a nice house and knows how to cook beyond making pasta and knows about art and politics and literature. She wanted a full on fantasy wedding. And like again none of that was happening with guys our ages. It’s his second marriage and he has kids, she’s super happy to be the stepmom and has made huge efforts with them and with his ex-wife. He does want another kid or two and so does she. She’s my stepmom’s daughter and we both love our younger siblings so the notion of like mixed parented sibling households isn’t off putting to her AT ALL. He’s never dated anyone as young as her since he’s been divorced. I’m like very confident in them and FAR more confident in them than I’ve been in any of her exes lmao because they were CONSTANTLY disappointing her.

But like on paper it looks bad and they’ve had a lot of snide remarks and shit.

I was gonna say that I put Selena/Luna in her late 20s but then I did the math. And also because I’m a dumb (and because it might help spell out stuff for others) I'mma explain.

So let's be generous with the age of stuff so Sev can be as young as possible in the scenario. So let’s assume she's, like, 17 in Awakening, I think that’s a fairly safe guess, tbh. She doesn’t really look any younger than that. And let's assume Corrin being a toddler was 3.

And then we get to when Fates happens, where Corrin is, as you say, mid to late teens. And again, let's go super low, I’m going to say… 15. Although I doubt anyone would trust a 15 year old to lead them, but anyway. That’d put Severa at 29.

Which, technically, would put Severa in her late 20s. Except for the part where I lowballed the ages, so chances are, she’s older than that. Like, honestly, for legal and comfort reasons I’d put Sev in Awakening at at least 18, and in Fates, Corrin as 18, and there would be some time between Awakening and Severa ending up in Nohr.

One question that did come to mind though… Beruka is probably younger than Severa if I had to guess, but what about Camilla herself? Older or younger than Severa, do you think?

          Holy fucking hell I've been gone from this site so long, that's a hefty ask. I get your logic and math though. Ngl I just didn't feel like carefully calculating everything in the moment lol. I can say that for  MY  OWN  comfort I did make Sev 18-19 during Awakening but this was also because the kids were supposed to be around their parents' age and I've always hc'd her as being one of the  OLDEST  kids. Concerning Beruka and Camilla though...

     Given the change in age, Beruka is definitely automatically younger. If we didn't have that specific line combined with Severa being a  PRE-EXISTING  character I would've accepted them being around the same age, but there's just no way I can see Beruka also being in her 30s. Camilla is tough for me to accept because her design led me to believing her being older than the both of them but I just  DON’T  see her being in her 30s either. To me she's older than Beruka but now younger than Luna. Personally I put her in her early-mid-20s at most.

My first headcanons~

AN: Thanks for the interesting request! This was my first time writing Tsukishima and Osamu. 

part 2: Suga, Atsumu, Akaashi, and Sakusa saving their S/O from traffic

TSUKISHIMA

⭐ Mmm, twas a slow-burn

⭐ You were both first years at Karasuno. you were one of Yachi’s classmates & closest friend

⭐ One day, you ended up walking her to practice and coincidentally, Tsukishima arrived right when you did

⭐ He was pretty indifferent at first tbh

⭐ It wasn’t until he caught you defending Yachi from some bullies that he was like 👀👀 ooo okay

⭐ Since then, he figured the best way to get to you was through Yachi

⭐ SO, he had her invite you to the 1st year study sessions

⭐ You’re quiet, but you get your work done. And when Yachi and Tsukishima are about to kill the boys (aka Hinata and Kageyama), you step in and play peace-maker, taking over the tutoring for a bit

⭐ It was after one of these study sessions when the incident occurs

⭐ You guys had just left Sakanoshita Market after a grueling study session. Tsukishima had almost killed Kageyama and Hinata multiple times before you suggested ending the session and leaving early

⭐ Just as you turn the corner down towards your street, the loud roar of a motorcycle distracts you

⭐ You eyes widen as the headlight shines directly onto you

⭐ You close your eyes, panic freezing you in the spot before you were flung to the side away from danger

⭐ Crashing into a fence, you end up in a kabedon-position with Tsukishima in front of you as he glares at the motorcyclist over his shoulder

⭐ “Watch where you’re going!” He spat, eyes flashing dangerously

⭐ The motorcyclist stops, apologising profusely only for Tsukishima to roll his eyes, grab your hand, and lead you away

⭐ “Are you alright?” he asks, looking at you from the corner of his eye

⭐ Tsukishima was pissed

⭐ Who in their right mind would barrel down the side-walk on a motorcycle when there’s a perfectly good street right there?

⭐ You nod, tears welling up in your eyes

⭐ “Don’t lie, you’re about to cry, aren’t you?”

⭐ You nod again

⭐ He sighs, holding you close. “It’s okay, I’m here”, his arm rubs up and down your back in comforting strokes. “Let’s get you home and in bed, yeah?” 

⭐ A sniffle. “Okay”

KUROO

⭐ SO, you and kuroo? twas another slow-burn type of relationship

⭐ I mean, y’all have known of each other for a while now

⭐ It wasn’t until you were partnered up in class when you actually started paying attention to Kuroo - though he’s always paid attention to you

⭐ He may have had a small crush on you for a while

⭐ after all, it just seemed like he was just always there

⭐ Having a bad day? Kuroo was there with a handful of your favorite snacks and a tight hug

⭐ He started being the first person that you call whenever you good news, and he started hitting you up whenever he was having a good/bad day too

⭐ Eventually, y’all just started acting so much like romantic partners and you both were just like “it is what it is” and made it official

⭐ You had stayed back on-campus doing your homework while waiting for Kuroo to finish with practice when the incident occurs

⭐ “I’m just gonna pop into the convenience store for some snacks,” you tell Kuroo as you grab your bag

⭐ There was still like another 30 minutes left to practice

⭐ SO, you leave

⭐ Popping your earbuds in, you jam out to music, humming as you walk down the street

⭐ Your feet tapping as you wait for the light to change

⭐ As it switches to green for pedestrians, you step onto the street

⭐ If you hadn’t been so distracted, you would’ve noticed the approaching truck

⭐ BUT, the truck honks super loudly and catches your attention

⭐ You’re turning towards it, eyes widening when something crashes into you from behind

⭐ Your eyes slam shut as panic and fear sweep over you

⭐ The honking drives past you

⭐ Opening your eyes, you see Kuroo standing over you

⭐ He had decided to go to the store with you at the last minute, but since you had your headphones in, he decided he wanted to scare you

⭐ BUT, when he saw what was happening, he sprinted like he was being chased by monsters

⭐ Cleared it in less than 30 seconds, scooping you into his arms as he makes it to the other side of the street

⭐ “Are you ok?”

⭐ “Yeah”

⭐ “Jesus christ baby, don’t do that again,” he chides you.

⭐ He was terrified. What if he hadn’t been there? What if he hadn’t been fast enough?

⭐ “I’m sorry”

⭐ He shakes his head, “it’s not your fault baby.” He kisses your forehead. “You’re probably in shock right now, let me take care of you, ok?”

⭐ You snuggle into his chest, listening as his heartbeats steady. “I love you”

⭐ “I love you too”

OSAMU

⭐ alright so y’all have been dating for awhile now

⭐ You had met when you’re both working at the stadium. He was selling onigiri and you were selling takoyaki

⭐ Osamu had heard about you from Atsumu when his twin bragged about a cute girl who had started working as a vendor for them

⭐ TBH, Osamu had just rolled his eyes. Atsumu was almost as big of a foodie as he was, and it was no wonder that he was impressed by a new vendor

⭐ The foods offered at the stadium hadn’t changed by much until you both entered as vendors

⭐ Your booths were directly across the hall from one another. He was eyeing your food and you were eyeing his

⭐ He was a little shocked by how young you were. You looked like you were his age

⭐ Osamu was pretty curious as to how you managed to get into the stadium

⭐ When the game starts, he comes over bringing onigiri as an offering for some of your food

⭐ Y’all hit it off, visiting each other’s restaurants, serving as taste-testers

⭐ You guys even start a little foodie blog because you’re always out trying new restaurants and recipes together

⭐ Eventually, you were like, well we already have the blog, we might as well be dating LOL

⭐ SO, at the time of the incident

⭐ It had been a long day

⭐ Like a really long day

⭐ You’d opened your shop up, worked all day, and then went to the stadium to open up your pop-up

⭐ Osamu was right behind you, carrying his own boxes

⭐ Y’all are just chatting about your days, super eager to get home and cuddle

⭐ Just as you step out into the parking lot, there’s a loud screeching noise as some guy decides to try and BOOK it from the parking lot

⭐ Stunned, you just stand there like a deer in headlights, your life flashing before your eyes

⭐ YANK

⭐ Osamu grabs your collar, yanking you back into him and away from the danger. You crash into his chest, the boxes thrown to the side in favour of wrapping one of his other arms around your waist

⭐ “Are you alright?” he rasps into your ear

⭐ You just shakily nod

⭐ “That was so close,” you whimper

⭐ “it’s okay baby, I got you,” he coos, holding you close to him

⭐ You could feel his heart racing

⭐ He was terrified. What if something had happened? And he didn’t do anything to stop it?

⭐ “I’ll never let anything happen to you, not when I’m around,” he promises

I really feel like I’m writing forum messages again haha, that’s a lot of fun :)

Yeah the popularity of Kylux is pretty impressive, the fanlore page is interesting if you want to have a look. I wasn’t really there to see it but apparently it grew pretty slowly but steadily, contrary to those ships that get super popular suddenly. I honestly think it’s so fun that the like, 2nd most popular ship on AO3 for all of Star Wars has this rando who doesn’t even get 15 full minutes of screentime over 6 hours of movies as one half of it, that’s pretty impressive (and yes I did time that when I rewatched the sequels, I was kinda surprised, he doesn’t even get a full 15 minutes! More precisely, it’s ~4:20 in ep 7, ~6:30 in ep 8 and a measly ~2:20 for ep 9! Counting those seconds you see him vaguely laying on the ground dying! What the hell, JJ Abrams, what the hell. But I mean, if we’re talking about Hux, what happened to him in ep 8 wasn’t… yeah. I have a few rants ready at all time and the one on whatever the hell they did to Hux is one of them haha). I know I have the potential to get into Reylo somewhere in me, I just know it, but I never did because… I don’t really know, maybe the fact that I’m generally not a multishipper and Kylux is already there, something. I’m honestly pretty curious of what ships are popular on what platforms and with which audiences and how much and when and all that? There are so many things that could influence that, it’s the kind of thing that would deserve a study but also you can’t really do one. I didn’t check FFN though, even if that’s where I started reading… I’ll add that to my notes for when I finally feel like writing down numbers. The advantage with the sequels is, contrary to all the older fandoms, I imagine the LJ population is much smaller and there won't really be archives, it’s just too recent for that. Look at me getting all excited for maths and statistics when I should be doing literature homework lol. Anyway, apart from that, I too could talk about ships for hours, I get the feeling :’)

The “fixed point in time” was a Doctor Who thing, I thought it was clear but maybe I’m biased because I have the context. It’s this thing where some events are fixed, they happen whether some time travelers decide to change history or not. A lightly spoilery example: in one of the seasons of the 11th Doctor, there’s this whole thing with his death, and it’s a fixed point in time, that means he’s always going to die whatever all his friends do to try and make him stay alive. The internet archive idea is super good though, that’ll help me flesh the thing out! I have to say, I have a deep fondness for the whole citrus scale, but I don’t think I feel quite ready to explain what a lemon is to a classroom haha.

Yeah fandoms get… intense sometimes, it’s pretty scary to hear about it. That Hetalia thing sounds ridiculous, though it’s funny to see another variation on why genderswaps are bad. There was a bit of that with John’s wife in BBC Sherlock, what with the show having quite a lot of queerbaiting, but you could pretty easily avoid it. I never got it either, people really do weird stuff on the internet.

Kind of like your arts classes where you drew but also tried sculpting and all kinds of techniques (even if here you can’t sculpt a map, but I think she’d try stuff for the fun of it. Also, an engraved map of a sector on a piece of wood sounds dope). The Mary Sue thing is so bad for confidence when you’re young, I totally get the strong feelings, me too tbh. Like I always saw people criticising their old cringy OCs or other people's and I desperatly didn’t want to “fail” at anything, even something you can’t really fail because as long as you’re having fun you’re good, so I just didn’t create any, since I was sure I couldn’t do it properly. Internet is fun but sometimes not that much actually.

I hadn’t even realised for “dear one”, I mean it makes sense that he wouldn’t say it in canon but it just… fits so much!! That’s a thing you read once and go “yeaah he WOULD say that” because yes he would. And you know what this makes me even more curious of who thought “Yan Dooku” was good, because yeah it is, honestly I like it, it sounds like a SW name, it works. By the way, I’m super curious about the human naming conventions in the galaxy, where do the names come from? Cause they have normal names that you could give a kid in our world (if you exclude the fact that some of them are Star Wars Names and immediately off limits), like Luke, Leia, Norra, Wedge, Caleb, probably Han or Sinjir, Ben, Owen, Amilyn, Armitage, Rey, Poe, Finn, Orson… you get the idea. Then there’s the more ambiguous like Lando or Satine or Padmé and her handmaidens, they’re not really real names but they might work if you want something original. And then, well. Obi-Wan. Qui-Gon. Anakin. Shmi. Temmin. Mace. Cliegg. Sheev. Dryden. Mon. Galen. All of the damn Knights of Ren, if that’s even their real names? I suppose Lor San Tekka’s name is Lor?? Anyway, you catch my drift. How do they work is my question. I’m not gonna start on birthdays and certain things not existing because what they’re based on doesn’t have a SW equivalent (like uuh the name Christopher is based on Christ but they don’t have Jesus), because you gotta know when to stop. I just can’t figure where they found those weird human names and what would sound fine. Are the same names considered basic and timeless? Are there weird ones that sound perfectly normal to them? How does any of that work?? Because picking a name for a species that has few info available is fine, you just invent your own stuff and fill in blanks, but humans? That’s us! … Maybe I just answered my own question and I’ll have to invent my own stuff. Still curious about how the fuck Obi-Wan came to be though, that's a very nice but weird name. Also I know I’m not the first one to notice but I think it’s very funny that it’s more or less official that the strip of cloth Jedi have around their waist under their belt is called an obi. Because haha, funny joke, Obi-Wan is a Jedi, Obi's obi, all that.

Oh this is pretty comforting actually, thank you! There’s always that “I don’t want to be annoying” voice in the back of my head but putting it in perspective does help. I’m glad that you’re having fun too then :)

Also unrelated to the rest but I really want to talk about it, I went to a con this weekend, and while it was more fantasy themed, there was a stand for the local lightsaber combat association, and they did demos and short little initiations. I didn’t catch any of the demos but I did get to learn a few stances with a saber and it was super cool. I mean I’m really bad at most anything physical so I probably looked like a tiny initiate having their first lesson but hey, at least I tried! I also have renewed appreciation for literally anything they do with lightsabers in the movies and series because those movements are not easy, even when your weapon is pretty harmless. The instructor tried to teach us how to do the little twirly wrist movement you can do at the end of your salute when you’ve finished a session, the same kind Obi-Wan does when he “unsheathes” his saber in TCW sometimes, and my friend got it right away but I couldn’t for the life of me figure it out lol. So yeah that was fun, there was also a super nice cosplayer who came as her own OC with an apparently Revan-inspired design that looked really cool.

Now that I’ve written the equivalent of the homework due tomorrow on some text analysis I should have been doing instead, I think I’ll go attend to my actual responsabilities (sadly, because this is much more fun). Have a nice – I think it’s late-afternoon/evening in the US, so a nice end of your day I suppose, and don’t worry, I did see your answer! Ngl that kind of popularity from kylux is crazy impressive. I remember it being the crackship back in the early days of the sequel fandom, that was before TLJ had come out. Its really epic that its gone from being a crackship to the 2nd most popular ship though! And its such a good ship too, it definitely deserves that popularity lmao!

Okay so ik i say this a lot but Hux really did deserve better from d*sney. Less than 15 total minutes of screen time? How dare they! And they gave him this terrible awful backstory and then refuse to show any of it on screen, like his whole relationship with Brendol could have been so interesting to see outside of comics but no ofc not and his bio mother isn't even a named character in canon and thats!! So terrible!! Im very defensive over him i love him very much (yes he's a villain ik but look) and like maybe im just super defensive of him because I built an entire backstory for him for fic purposes (that i can't really talk about until the kylux big bang is released) but I love him and he deserved!! So much better!! And how dare they just kill him!! I have a whole rant about this somewhere lmao, im so glad we can agree on this!

I can def agree with kylux being the better ship compared to reylo. Why have het enemies to lovers when gay enemies to lovers is right there? But legit reylo is what got me to like the sequels back in the day, they're still a soft favorite of mine 😅

Now exploring ship popularity in comparison to which platform you're on would be very very interesting! I can tell you that tumblr has a very small kylux base these days (i go through that tag almost weekly these days and there's very rarely new stuff that im interested in) compared to say, reylo or obikin where there's constantly new stuff being posted. But there's also a ton more "hate" in the obikin and reylo communities compared to kylux, so by popularity are you going for traffic overall vs positive interaction vs just the negative interactions and you're right, there's so much that can influence it and its definitely worth a study if someone has time!

Oh, im gonna be honest I stopped watching Doctor Who after Eccleston. With your explanation though it makes a lot of sense! Seems like theres a few of those in the prequels fandom, generally there's always the Clone Wars and generally unless its a fix it au Anakin always falls.

Fandoms do get intense. Its pretty crazy, and I say that as someone who's been around fandoms for the last decade. I have so many Opinions(tm) about it lol, it really is easy to avoid the stuff one doesn't want to see and ngl its a lot better that way isn't it

The whole concept of "cringe" is kinda sucky tbh, I dont know how to explain it but it feels like it was just a way to make fun of people for their ocs or their writing or art or whatever. You're right, the internet is fun but also not sometimes. But yeah, you really can't fail as long as you're having fun! Just getting over that initial hump of feeling anxious about your oc is the hardest part! Okay so human naming conventions is such a hotly debated thing! Or was at one point, i dont keep up with fandom drama anymore lmao. I remember seeing something on reddit saying Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon must have come from the same planet because their names use similar conventions, which is very interesting to think about but also! There's so many different planets and cultures that its absolutely impossible to narrow the naming conventions down to a single thing, and I doubt even Lucas and d*sney have it all figured out so if you can find a naming convention go for it yknow! I think also thats the benefit of fanfiction, we can make up whatever we want and it'll be plausible because the SW universe is so vast whos to say xyz thing isn't true. That got a little meta, but yeah you did answer your own question there!

Also yeah Obi-Wan is a v nice, v weird name. Re: obi also being the belt, do you think its maybe one of those things were theres a name variation of a word? Idk if that question made sense, yknow how theres words that are Also Names? Bc it could be like that, so maybe "Obi" as a name prefix isn't actually that weird? Again, making it up as we go along but! Wouldn't that be interesting!

Omg testing out lightsabers is so much fun!! I have two lightsabers myself, I've been messing around with them (and actually have to replace the electronics in both whoops) and its so so hard to get the movements right! And its good to try new things!! Im not sure which actor this was said about but there was an interview once about how the lightsaber duels were choreographed like actual sword fights or something, and there was one actor who was really good at it and worked really hard at it and stuff. It was either Mark Hamill or Hayden Christensen, im pretty sure?? Anyway, yeah that stuff is wicked hard and good for you for trying it!!

How old do you guys head canon the Ghosts (BBC) to be (when they died, obviously)? 

I’m awful with ages, but I could probably put them into what I think their age order is, from youngest to oldest (leaving out Humphrey, because we don’t see enough of him to get a real feel for his backstory and personality): 

Kitty is likely the youngest, suggested by her youthful personality, Lolly being the youngest actress by 10 years, and her being an unwed noblewoman in the Georgian era. Average age of marriage then was early 20s, so I would guess that she’s between 18-22? She’s obviously an adult, so I’d lean closer to 22. 

EDIT 2: @bbygrace has told me that Lolly has said multiple times that Kitty is a teenager, so Kitty is probably closer to 18, which I had thought might’ve been the case, tbh. The reason I thought she might’ve been closer to 22 was that she looks older than 18 (because Lolly is 29/30 years old) but obviously that can’t always be considered when trying to work out characters ages. Adults play teenagers in TV shows all the time. 

I think Thomas is probably the next youngest, he was unwed like Kitty, and the average age of marriage in the regency era for men was 25-29, so I would guess that he’s maybe between 22-25. While he was obviously thinking about marriage before his death, but he was still developing his career before marriage (as was common during the time)

It seems like Pat has a very young, barely born son (considering his grandchild was born 36 years after his death, I’m guessing his son was a baby) when he died, and average age of first time fathers in 1980s was about 28, I’m guessing he’s probably 28, maybe a bit older, but I wouldn’t say too much older. Maybe 28-32? 

EDIT 1: @bryneavour let me know that Pat was 39 according to his obituary, which is on Mike’s Ghost Board, which I completely forgot about! Thank you for this, though that does make him a pretty old father for the 80s! 

The average life expectancy for Cavemen was approximately 35, so I reckon Robin is probably close to that. We don’t know a lot about Robin, or much about how he died, but he’s quite mature, in a way, so I’d say he’s between 30-35. 

I think Mary is 40, or very close to 40. Katy Wix is 40 years old, and most women tried for witchcraft were over 40, so I think 40 is a good guess. 

I’d also bet that Julian is the same age as Simon: 47 years old. The average age of an MP was 50 (still is, too), and while he’s sex-obsessed, so you would guess he’s younger, he’s obviously spent a long time in his political career. Hence my guess of 47.

I think the Captain might be similar in age to Julian, but I reckon he’s younger than Lady Button. While Ben is 47, like Simon, his character has grey hair, but that could have been brought on by stress of living in wartime. So I’d put his age at 47-50. (Honestly I have no clue with Captain, tbh, this is all just a guess.)

EDIT 3: @fanta-friends has let me know that Ben’s hair is actually grey, lol. I’d still put the Captain as being slightly older than Julian, because he is so much more mature than Julian, but that could just be his personality type, so idk. 

With Lady Button, the average life expectancy in the early 1900s was 50, so I would put her at that age, maybe with a bit of wiggle room (48-52). We know she didn’t die of natural causes, but she was married, had at least one child, and is quite old, and there are numerous jokes about her age. I’d lean closer to her being 52, so there’s a bigger gap between her and Julian’s age, to make the age jokes really work. 

And apparently I could put approximate ages to them, I put WAY more thought into this post than I was expecting, lol. 

Does anyone agree with my guesses? Does anyone who knows more about history have any other ideas, as most of my information came from super quick Google searches!

Hi hello um warning I suppose, click “read more” to watch me go on an epic rambling journey. Nothing bad happened! I just realize not everyone might be interested in this as it is a very weird thing that has made me very, very happy. That and I kind of go off the rails here so, click if you want on this ride lmao

Let’s go back quite a few years. Middle school, for my perspective, but the exact year I cannot quite name. I have always been a gaming child, and Minecraft was a staple of it. A way of creating that was fun and open, and in turn I was a huge fan of Minecraft YouTuber’s. Skydoesminecraft, Deadlox, y’know — the OG’s I suppose they’re called now. I’ve had one big favorite though that I truly stuck with, whose group I loved above the others(not that young me would admit it).

You might know him. Slyfoxhound. I love his videos. I love his friends. I can honestly confidently call him my comfort content creator, at that point in time. I still like him! Still subscribed, I just don’t watch as often since he’s more on Twitch now and days. Not a big fan of Twitch, tbh. I can’t stay that focused very well.

See, he had a series called “Minecraft Daily” and holy shit did I love that series. When it ended, I downloaded the map(it was available for a time) and I explored to my hearts content. Then, season two happened. “Super Minecraft Daily”, and I loved it even more. I love Superheroes, and supervillains, and the adventures and plots. Again, I could wholeheartedly call these series my comfort series.

Fast forward a few years. School is taking up time, so I wasn’t on as much, but one day I go back to the SMD(Super Minecraft Daily) playlist and...some of the videos are gone. I’m confused, and I scroll, and oh look. They’ve been privatized. No big deal, I was sure they’d come back or I’d get to hear what’s up later on.

I never did. I searched high and low, but I never actually found out why the episodes where private now. Never got answers, and was haunted by the ones hidden. Episodes 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 16-20, 23, 27&28, 30, 31, 34, 38, 39, 41, 42, 46, 47, and 61. I won’t lie, it hurt a bit. Even more since I couldn’t find a hint of why. Best way I could describe it was like a breakup.

(I mean, now that I’ve had more experiences I know better, but back then it felt like that)

Eventually I moved on. Once and a while going back just to peep, just to look and see those grey boxes. Now we’re here in our timeline, 2020-2021 timeline. I was pretty happy to see a resurgence in Minecraft, even if I can’t watch much of the videos(again, Twitch, not a fan) but I’m along for the ride and enjoying the Dream SMP and that Origin SMP(OSMP I think it’s called? The one with Ranboo and the powers, it has others from the Dream SMP too) the best I can. I like the characters and power one, but hey hopefully the VODS get posted on YouTube sometime.

Tonight I got a bit wrapped up in nostalgia, and so I went to just...look at the playlist again. Nothing will ever change, but that’s ok. I still like looking. Especially because, ten months ago I believe, Slyfox decided to go start a new channel. Fresh start! I’ve already subscribed too. So I click the playlist.

And there’s no grey boxes. No “PRIVATE VIDEO” labels. I check the list of missing, and carefully number each video off. I do it again, and slower so my shitty eyes don’t mistake anything. So my memory doesn’t skip or fill in anything missing. They’re all there. All the SMD videos are back.

I think I’m actually shaking. It’s 3:26 AM and I’m shaking and wanting to cry happy tears over Minecraft videos. I’m almost afraid, afraid I made this up and tomorrow they’ll be gone again. Hell, I almost want to post into the Void and ask if anyone else sees them back up too. Maybe my brain did trick me into seeing my favorite series whole and complete again.

I don’t know how long this luck will last. Like I said, I can’t believe my eyes and I fear they’ll private on me again. But right now, seeing them back, seeing a comment from one month ago saying “THIS ISNT PRIVATE ANYMORE?!” makes me think I’m not alone.

It’s back. Oh my stars the series is back.

MARK LEE:

he has 2 kids, both boys. ethan lee is the oldest, 2 years later, eli lee was born.

ETHAN LEE: >> as a baby <<

a giggly little thing

he was honestly just a lowkey baby

like he wasn’t super energetic

he wasn’t super fussy

he was just lowkey

mark honestly was so nervous the entire first couple months of ethan’s life

he genuinely felt like he was doing everything wrong and was so scared that he would do something that would eventually hurt ethan

but you would reassure him that every new parent just needs to figure it out and everything will be okay

mark was still pretty nervous tho

ethan is the oldest of the kids born in his year

there’s only three of them

ten’s second son, shawn leechaiyapornkul and jaehyun’s daughter, jung lani

all three dads would come together as a joint baby sitting project

but honestly, ten and jaehyun went over to help mark and ease his nervousness

like shawn is ten’s second son, so even if ten doesn’t have it completely figured out, he at least has the experience

on the other hand, jaehyun has read a ton of parenting books and such so he knows a lot about the facts of the matter dealing with temperature of baby food, the right type of crib, the material of the baby’s clothes, etc.

jaehyun and ten would go to mark’s house a lot to help him out and teach him the ropes

(omg i have scenario ideas haha)

but a little snippet:

mark: okay, ten-hyung, he’s been crying for the last hour and i already fed, changed, and burped him and i’ve been trying to get him to sleep for a while now... what do i do?

ten: stop bouncing for a sec and hold him. *walks over so his face is level with ethan’s face* ethan look! *takes out a toy to distract the baby*

ethan: *gnaws on his fist but stops crying, his attention on the toy now.*

mark: how did you know?

ten: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯  all experience, dude.

(another scenario)

mark: okay ethan, time for your bath!

jaehyun: waIT STOP

mark: ???

jaehyun: did you check the temperature??? you can’t put ethan in the same temperature that you bathe in... babies can be sensitive towards this... *puts his hand in the water* oh my goD! mark! this is way too hot!! turn down the temperature!

(oh man imma have fun with these three haha)

ethan was born first 

shawn was born next

and lani was born last

they were all born rather close to each other tho

like coincidentally, they were all born like within 30 days of each other lol

ethan was born 2 weeks late (i know... poor you...)

shawn was born roughly on time

and lani was born like 2 weeks early

since they were all around the same age and such, jaehyun, ten, and mark found that as a reason to all get together and help each other

(it was more mark freaking out and ten and jaehyun helping him out haha)

just give mark sometime with ten and jaehyun and they’ll make sure he knows what to do :)

started to become a little more active

he’s so lovable

like he’s so magnetic

so many of the kids are just so drawn to him it’s weird

like even he doesn’t really know why but people just always want to be his friend

he’s so talented and so dedicated when he puts his mind into something

ethan is such a hard worker

he’s best friends with ten’s second son, shawn leechaiyapornkul and jaehyun’s daughter, jung lani

they all remain best friends basically for life

the three of them are pretty clever for kids

like they make really good decisions

they won’t go and buy the high quality toys that are expensive

they’ll buy the budget toys bc there’s more of them

the three of them all play well together

shawn is really shy and was really scared to try new things

he wasn’t really adventerous

ethan and lani decided it was their life mission to make shawn more social and adventurous

most of the things they all did together was to try and get shawn to try more things and be less scared of not scary things

and he loves it!

ethan is like the leader of the group

as the oldest, the other two tend to just follow him

ethan is the same way towards his little brother

like at first, he was awkward like mark was

tbh ethan is super awkward around babies lol

like he doesn’t know the right way to talk with them

he’s okay with his younger brother

he didn’t really know how to interact with eli when he was an infant

ethan gets better when eli is a toddler

he starts to gain an interest in rapping and stuff around this age

mark shows him some of his old videos and such

and he’s honestly so entranced

he thinks mark’s rapping is the coolest thing in the entire world (bc it is)

mark starts to teach him as much as he can

and ethan is just so interested in all of it

ethan spends almost all of his free time writing lyrics and such 

mark helps him out

ethan most definitely can speak english too

like mark made it a point that he wants his kids to be bilingual lol

ethan is just as passionate about canada as mark is

honestly? ethan looks like a mix between you and mark

but his personality is all mark

when he hits puberty, his voice is squeakier than average lol

he still raps through it tho

he doesn’t let the squeaky voice make him feel insecure at all lol

becomes such an amazing rapper it’s crazy

he doesn’t join a boy group

he becomes a solo artist

he’s honestly just as busy a someone in a boy group tho

like not only did he get his personality from mark

he also got his busy schedule :,(

this was unintentional

but ethan is such a good rapper that they just filled up his schedule

lani becomes a solo artist herself and they collab together a lot

like they collab together so much that at this point, they should just say that their in a group together lol

ethan is so multitalented

like his rap style isn’t limited to just one

like he can do all kinds of different styles

he can spit bars

he can deliver a super strong rap

he can even rap in a chill way

ethan’s voice is honestly so calming too

like he has one of those voices that you can just listen to for hours on end

his on stage persona is so intimidating 

but his normal personality?

he’s soft™

around lani? even softer™

tbh

like lani and ethan just decide that they’re together one day

they both probably danced around that topic because they both were scared that getting together would ruin their friendship

like lani didn’t want to confess because she didn’t think ethan liked her like that

and ethan vice versa 

ethan would probably be writing a song and he would call lani to be there bc she was his muse

and like they found themselves super close with each other and stuff

then they were like “look, let’s just start dating, wth.”

and they do

and they become the power couple of the century™

lol they probably were super scared to tell shawn

but when they did he’ll be like “FINALLY”

and lani and ethan were like ???

and shawn was like “y’all. I’m hella dense, but even I WAS ABLE to see that there was something going on between you two.”

ethan and lani were both hella relieved and their status as a couple didn’t mess with their friendship with each other and with shawn at all

anyway

ethan gets really famous bc he’s just such a good rapper and such

and he maintains his relationship with his best friends

and he also supports the heck out of eli

omg eli would like make a dance cover to every single one of ethan’s songs

and ethan and eli would dance together a lot

they were super good siblings

if ethan needed choreo, the only person he would go to is eli. periodt.

ethan is honestly such a good and awesome person :) 

ELI LEE: >> as a baby <<

he was so chic as a baby

like he would give you guys smiles and stuff

but the smiles only lasted a quick second

then his face is straight again

everyone was lowkey like “why is he so mad at us all of the time”

eli wasn’t mad

that was just his face lol

he was a rather bouncy baby

like he was definitely happiest when he was in his bouncer

mark was better this time, dw

he definitely wasn’t perfect

but the training ten and jaehyun put him through prepared him for this

eli also tended to smile a lot when ethan’s in the room

and mark is definitely happy to have a little helper

even tho ethan was still a little young when eli was born

he was still a huge help

like if eli was crying

ethan would walk over and hit him reassuringly

and eli would stop crying!

but it was out of shock and not comfort lol

it’s okay bc it gave mark enough time to get over there :)

eli honestly was the biggest momma’s boy

like the first day you were gone the whole day

eli couldn’t take it

he cried basically the entire day

eli loves mark, but he just loves you so much more for some reason lol

even tho he looked mad 25/8

he was such a pretty baby

like he was all you with mark’s eyes

those rare times eli did smile, oh man

the universe stopped when you saw that precious smile

he was a really sweet baby regardless of what people would say :,)

one of the quickest ways to make eli really happy is to put him in his bouncer

turn on some music

and boom

happy baby right there

mark is really good at playing with his boys

like both ethan and eli had such an active imagination

and mark was right up there with them

when eli was stomping and walking around, that’s when mark shined as a dad haha

eli is happy sunshine even tho he has one of the most severe cases of rbf lol

like nothing really phases him

he looks scary or mean

but he’s honestly really sweet and nice

people would be really scared to approach him tbh 

bc he just looked so mad

but the second he opened his mouth?

they’re born the same year

eli and wei both love love love hip hop

they also both are so talented at dancing

like when you watch like those dance company things (like the MILLENNIUM DANCE COMPLEX) and you see the little kids?

that’s eli and wei

their personalities compliment each other well

like their both goofballs

and they both work really hard

and they both have a huge passion for dancing!

omg eli is definitely the shy one between the two

okok imagine

it’s eli and wei’s first super huge dance comeptition

and they both have major solos / a duet part of the dance together

the entire family is there

(including all of nct and their kids lol)

(they totally take up half of the theater but that’s besides the point)

wei is HYPED

but eli is super duper nervous

to the point where eli doesn’t want to go onstage anymore

and even tho wei reassures him, eli is still nervous

wei knows exactly what to do tho

he goes and grabs ethan and takes ethan to eli

and after a quick pep talk and such, eli is all ready to go out

eli and wei both KILL it

they do so freaking well so like ofc they won :)

(without a doubt nct would be so freaking loud lol)

but it was genuinely so good!

eli is full of so much talent

but even so, he’s not lazy

both ethan and eli have such a good work ethic

they work hard to see their goals and it pays off :)

like his stoic exterior is what makes him so popular

his facial expressions are honestly 10/10

he becomes a dancer

and he’s oh so good

he is another one of the instructors at youngchul and kaleb’s place

eli and wei are the freestyle teachers

like eli can do practically any style

but he feels like freestyling is the purest form of creative expression in dance

lol probably with his stoic expression, everyone thinks he’s the “bad cop”

but it’s the other way around

and like wei isn’t really the bad cop

eli is like “okay! good work guys! let’s take a quick break then start again!”

wei is like “okay! love the energy so let’s all keep it going with no break. we’ll take a break when our legs feel like their gonna fall off, okay?”

eli was probably casted a lot since he’s been in the dancing scene as soon as he could walk

and like he genuinely considered joining a group

like he knew how to rap a bit from practicing with ethan and such

and tbh, eli thought he would do it bc he thought that it would make mark “more” proud of him

but mark would tell him to do whatever he wanted!

like regardless if he joined a group or stayed as a dancer or heck, even get an office job

mark would be so proud

so eli decided (probably on a coinflip lol) that he’ll dedicate his time as a full time dancer

and honestly? he’s living his best life

like best best life

he gets to do his favorite thing everyday

he’s surrounded by family and friends?

eli is thriving

he also is super duper supportive of all of the other dancers in the group

like if a kid wants to dance for fun, eli and wei will teach them!

omg eli for sure inherited mark’s flexibility lol

if eli is really feeling the vibe of a song and wants to go off he’ll throw in the splits 99% of the time teehee

like all of his talent and hard work is shown through every performance

eli is honestly pretty awkward tho lol

like onstage and in front of a camera? he looks like the most confident person in the world

then offstage and someone compliments him? 

poor baby gets so shy haha

he calls you everyday

he’s still the biggest momma’s boy lol

eli is honestly just thriving :))

Ok so this is A LOT of requests and in the future I would like to ask people to limit their requests to three celebs at a time, but I’ve never said that before so it wouldn’t be fair to the person who requested all these. So yes I can do these requests. The only one I won’t do is Sean Young from Ace Ventura because her character in Ace Ventura is really really transphobic (or, more specifically, how that character is written). And I can do that specific Christina Aguilera one. Also since this IS so many requests I’ll probably be sprinkling them in through instead of doing them all at once, & I already wrote an Elizabeth Gillies one coming out towards the end of May.

The person I fell hardest for is my husband. We had an immediate connection and I felt comfortable and like I could 100% be myself around him. He’s sweet, caring, compassionate. And hilarious as fuck. We get along SO well and I just love being around him.

It ended in April 2011 and I got with my now husband in July 2011. I was already thinking about being with him that whole BS relationship, tbh. Me and that guy got together because we were both bored. I’m so happy that phase of my life is over. It was gross and shitty.
