This is inspired by an old tumblr post about the same thing which I for the life of me can’t find

Elliot : he almost fainted out of shook at the news but as soon as the shock wears off the sight of his beautiful wife and his sleeping children cause all his anxiety to melt away.

Sam : really excited to be a dad and now you’re telling me there’s two of them? That’s awesome He loves all 3 of them so much :)

Shane : his nervousness has went up significantly it’s not that he doesn’t think that he can’t handle it he has taken care of young Jas but he’s worried about the health of farmer and the babies .

Alex : very similar to Sam he is really excited to be a dad . He definitely has his work cut out for him but you know he can handle it. He is also proud of the farmer for staying strong through the birth process.

Sebastian : he might not show it but he is shock he wasn’t not expecting it . But he is excited to be a dad nonetheless .

Harvey : he knew it was a possibility . But he was still shocked but his doctor instincts kick in and he makes sure the farmer and their children are safe and healthy .

i fucking love stardew valley and the amount of open ended-ness it gives to the player character while also maintaining its story. i love that it almost always has what i call the “d&d effect” on people in which they create their character and then like less than a week into playing it they end up creating their whole backstory, knowing their sense of humor, and fleshing out their whole personality. then when it comes to romances its really interesting how different every romance is from person to person. while, for example, shane’s romance storyline is the same storyline for each individual, we create our farmer’s and shane’s whole relationship dynamic on our own, their proposal, what they have in common and the kinds of dates they go on. stardew valley might not be the only game that does this but it does it so well and it is such a fucking good game.
