The fact that Agent Stone loved Robotnik and took care of him while Robotnik was depressed makes me so weak. In his eyes Robotnik was the most impressive person in the world. He never left him because he just wanted Robotnik to be ok, even though Robotnik treated him with disrespect. He doesn't care what he looks like or what he does as long as he needs him, he'll be there.

When he said "it's too dangerous and I'm not there to protect you" my God he just wanted his Doctor to be ok and he didn't care about anything else but he couldn't save him. He tried so hard and he did everything to help him but Robotnik couldn't be saved. Robotnik died because he thought that there is something better than what he had with Stone and when he realized that Stone was the best thing in his life it was too late.

Honestly with the workload these kids be getting, what they are studying in school and just generally how they are treated. You really forget these kids are like 6 years old.

Anya is the only one that consistently acts her age and so she sometimes comes off as immature which is insane when you think about it they are all literally 6. This also works cause we can assume she is a year or 2 younger than the rest of her grade, still, even then it’s insane.

Which is why when the other kids actually start to show their age usually in situations of great emotion, the bus hijacking for one. Or even when the kids think one of them is going to have to leave because his family is now poor and they all rally around this kid they never even really spoke to, or when they literally think that some macaroons will make them smarter and help them pass the test. Or when they simply want to play outside.

it’s so jarring and you’re left being like oh right they're six, this isn’t normal. Six-year-olds shouldn't be put under this kind of pressure.

It's another neat little insight into just what kind of society these kids are living in. And a little bit of irony that Loid who wants to create a society where little kids don't have to cry anymore is on a mission that requires the infiltration of a school where little kids can't even be ones.

Thinking about the fight in Ba Sing Se. There's a moment when Zuko first comes in when he looks between Azula and Aang. In that moment, Aang also looked at him, and he doesn't look at him like an enemy, he looks like he's waiting because he is. He's waiting for Zuko to make a choice between him and Azula, and you're literally shown the second he realizes Zuko is choosing Azula, because he panics, almost surprised by this.

It got me thinking about it and I realized this is a call back to the fight they had in the abandoned town during The Chase. There too, Zuko came in in the middle of a confrontation between Aang and Azula, then too there was a period of time in which Zuko looked between Azula and Aang, making a decision on who to attack, and he attacked Azula. He took Aang's side. He and Aang (and co. as they come in) work together against Azula.

Now, was this because he really 'sided' with Aang? No. It was because Zuko needed Aang for himself, and Aang knows this. This has happened before, during the blue spirit, where the two of them work together, not because Zuko is defending Aang, but because he needs him for himself. There's been an established pattern that, while Zuko and Aang are enemies, any third player becomes a common enemy, and they work together against that person. If there is a third threat, Aang and Zuko are on the same team (and there's a twisted kind of companionship in that, relying on someone to have your back because you know they want to be the one to defeat you).

During Ba Sing Se, Zuko once again enters. It's the same scene, and I think part of Aang expected the same thing to happen, but it doesn't. Zuko picks Azula's side, and Aang was surprised (and might I even say betrayed?) by this.

"Back off Azula, he's mine." Aang took those words to heart, and Zuko went back on them.

funny how the outrage around pairings like haladriel or other heroine x villain relationships highlights society's striking hypocrisy toward women and boundaries.

we live in a world that has normalised the transgression of women's boundaries. yet, when women express enjoyment of stories that explore any sort of boundary crossing, we are vilified--branded as immoral, accused of romanticising abuse, and further condemned.

the double standard is clear: women's boundaries can be transgressed in real life with little to no drama, and fandoms that are prominently male can enjoy transgressive stories with little to no drama, but when women enjoy transgressive fiction, it suddenly becomes unacceptable.

so, you see, the issue isn't the act of transgression itself; it's women deriving enjoyment from it, a privilege the world wants to reserve only for men.

Aziraphale didn't choose Heaven

Aziraphale didn't take the job as Supreme Archangel because he wanted to be on Heaven's side again. And he didn't do it to protect Crowley, either.

He did it because he thought it was right.

Because Aziraphale always does what he thinks is right. He has his own moral center, and he will fight tooth and nail for it. He will lie to God's face about giving away his flaming sword for it. He will defy Gabriel and all the archangels at the end of the world for it. He will risk his angelhood to protect children for it; he will risk his precious, peaceful, fragile existence to protect a forgetful archangel for it. He will let Crowley, the love of his life, go on his own to Alpha Centauri for it; and he will leave him again, alone and broken, heartsick at doing so, on Earth for it. 

Because nothing, nothing is more important to Aziraphale than doing the Right Thing. 

And that's what Crowley loves about him.
