The Cannibal dragon headcanons ...
(art credit for middle image, ig: dracalyss)
. Cannibal is a huge dragon, the largest of all wild-dragons, but I can't see him being any larger than Vhagar- let alone Balerian the black dread. I imagine he'd be a tad bit smaller than Vhagar- just about. His build is bulky and scarred, a thick neck of scarred obsidian scales, a set of jagged jet-black spikes that run along his spine, and covered in thick taut muscle and hardened flesh. His eyes are a blazing emerald green, teeth sharp and jagged like a shark.
. I also love the idea of him having this 'grinning' look on his face, like a crocodile or the indoraptor from Jurassic world. (His personality screams indoraptor to me, just a mean guy with a nasty lil goblin grin). And with his torn jaw and exposed teeth, it makes him look even creepier and menacing. There's something way too...human about it. Expressive in both his grin and mannerisms.
He's definitely a stare-er too. Something about a monstrously big dragon being unnervingly quiet and observing is uncomfortable, which is exactly the vibes he gives off.
. I like to visualize him as a very 'wild' looking dragon, like how'd you imagine a stray feral cat. His scales are rough and weather-worn, covered in large claw-like scars from fighting and hunting other dragons throughout his life. There's also fanart of him missing a huge chunk of flesh around his jaw and mouth, baring his teeth, which I think looks really cool :) as a young dragon he probably picked off the small and easy dragons, ones that wouldn't put up much of a fight. But as he grew in age and size, he would probably grow cocky and try his luck with larger prey. Due to him being an absolute monster, I'd imagine he'd often come up on top- but not without earning a few disfiguring scars in return.
. Despite never being bonded to a rider before, nor being ridden before in his life (he'd scoff at the mere thought of some little measly human thinking that they could climb upon his back and treat him like a pony), once he bonded with you it was like an instant connection. He is still a little edgy and unpredictable, but there is one thing for certain and that is he is always as gentle as possible with you. He'll press his body into the dirt if it allows you to climb on and off safely, craning his claws and jaw for you to step upon.
. He wouldn't wear a saddle, so you'd have to learn to ride him bareback. Thankfully he has many jagged scales and spikes to cling onto, but to be on the safe side, you'd have special riding gear to wear to help cling on. Rougher gloves and boots and trousers, it certainly helps, even if it's just a little. If anything the fact you ride bareback is a testament of your bond, showing how close and in sync you both are.
. The biggest issue with him would be his... diet, and how he'd have to adapt once he begins to hang around dragonstone more often. I'd imagine he wouldn't eat much, adding to the unpredictability of him and when he would hunt, but as his rider you'd have to supply him at least livestock every week to keep him happy and saturated. Cows, horses, large livestock due to his sheer size.
. He flies quite similar to Vhagar. His form is heavy, and although strong, he is lumbering.
Although at his age now he'd be a rather ancient dragon, he wouldn't really show his age besides a few moments where he just wants to curl up in his little cave upon his āØprivate island āØ to take a nap. In his youth he was most likely a very quick dragon, like a stalking panther striking upon his food. (Being younger dragons and hatchlings). I've seen someone write about him being a silent hunter (I'll reblog and credit once I find them), but that's such a neat idea for his character! He's survived from hunting his own kind, so he's going to hunt differently. Smarter.
. His fire in the books is described as green, and that's just too cool to swap it out with normal fire. Blazing emerald flames that engulf earth and prey, unnatural and mystical. It'd be very distinctive as well, whoever finds their fields or flocks of trees burning and crackling in a blaze of green fire, they'd know that the cannibal had just been there.
. Personality wise, I feel like he'd be cruel and sadistic, but wise and grumpy. Probably cocky as well, for having survived on his for so long and through unconventional means.
He's not a hardheaded bully, he's very tactical when it comes to facing challenges, but at this point he's such a huge threat he may be blinded by his own ego and emotions. If something were to happen to his rider, he'd make sure you'd get avenged. He's ride or die, quite literally. He'll burn everything down for you, because he feels strongly for the one human he feels he can trust. His grief is not silent or tearful, it's angry.

The Transitory Nature of Identity
it's natural for one's identity to shift, to reimagine itself through the years, especially as one begins to understand themselves more as they age.
we talk a lot in the community about "what if the id is temporary--!" and there's a lot of folk who are scared that things *are* transitory, when it shouldnt be a scary thing!
it feels a little like baring my soul, but i want to share my identity progression with y'all as an example that even those who seem to have figured their shit out, only look that way because they've had time to get a grasp on who they are!
(cut because it's long lol lots of images)
before i was daski, i was Sewreel. a wolf/dragon hybrid shapeshifting goddess of destruction. for reasons that are way too long for this already long post, we Split--she was her and i was me, and yet we were the same person, an alter ego if you will. and yet, you can see where while i've always been a dragon, a canid, a shapeshifter, and a goddess in some faculty, the form it took was very different!
this is the very first iteration of me as daski, i'm the orange canid.
due to a change in how my phantom limbs felt, i changed what "i" looked like, sort of rapid style.
..tbh i dont remember why i started using the kyuubi form, other than i liked it? lol
in amongst the stumbling through forms i enjoyed being portrayed as, i found the one that y'all might be most familiar with: the destructor dragon, the serpentine goddess that led me to finding the alterhuman community.
who, even then, went through some "form finding" to figure out what felt like me!
but i didnt stop there. the signature on most of these you see is based off of my incorporating the odd instincts of wanting to be fluffy with being a noodle
during all this time, i was still messing around with other forms as well, ones i didnt realize until later that were incredibly important to my identity.
i still cant believe how close to an indoraptor i got with this one. it's incredible.
i tested out my affiliation with water as a dragon, as well
Until we get up to today!
the ultimate culmination and understanding of where i've come from, and what i've found i've liked through the years. you can physically see how each transformation has lent itself into the next iteration.
each and every step of the way has been important, and while i may not currently identify with the steps i took to get here, they were all intrinsic and important stepping stones to understand how and why im me. i thank each form for the comfort and understanding that it gave to me, and i would be less of myself today had i not had each and every one of these forms as a part of my journey!
#alterhuman#therian#otherkin#shapeshifter#dragon#my dA has been abandoned for like a decade#but its been great for pulling the images off.#i had it since i was like 14 so theres a lot of ANCIENT art#which honestly is great also to anyone who's just beginning art!#they can also see the amount of progress i've made through the years as an example of how time and practice improves one's art

Submissions Open!
Please submit any fictional dinosaurs that you want to be considered for the Best Fictional Dinosaur Tournament (alternatively referred to as the saurnament)!
Please submit the name of your FICTIONAL, NON-AVIAN (Triceratops - Troodont) dinosaur, AND the franchise of origin! Additionally, if you submit a non-theropod, I love you.
It would also make my life easier if you checked to see if the character has already been added before asking! (That's a read only list, submissions are done via ask!)
Only 6 characters per franchise will be allowed in the final cut, but don't let that stop you for now! I will be doing the filtering later.
Feel free to submit a picture of the character if you're asking off anon (not required). I will have to select at least one representative picture for each candiate; if nobody suggests any then I will have to look them up myself.
Have fun, and please REBLOG to help spread the word!
For all you fellow rule lovers, the detailed rules are under the cut:
Rule 0 (Dino Denial)
Candidates must be fictional dinosaurs.
All candidates must be fictional entities, created by a specific person or group to serve some fictive purpose. Examples that do count: The T-Rex from Jurassic Park, Blue from Jurassic World, any relevant sports mascots, specific named dinosaurs in documentaries NOT based on an existing named fossil. Examples that don't count: Any general species of dinosaur without citing a specific work, any dubious or contested species of dinosaur such as nanotyrannus, any named actual fossils such as Big Al.
-----------------------
Rule 1 (Di-No a Saur When I See One)
Candidates must be non-avian dinosaurs.
All candidates must either: a) BE an actual non-avian dinosaur, or b) have a design that is PRIMARILY INSPIRED BY one or more non-avian dinosaurs (and from here on out, consider "dinosaur" to effectively mean "non-avian dinosaur). Birds do NOT count for this poll; "dinosaur" here means Triceratops through Troodonts. Additionally, pterosaurs, icthyosaurs, plesiosaurs, mosasaurs, and other similar ancient reptiles do NOT count as they are NOT dinosaurs. (Example 1: Obviously, Aladar from Dinosaur counts, as he is an iguanadon, but Agumon, Godzilla, the Indoraptor, and Bastiodon all count too even though, strictly speaking, none of them are actually existing dinosaurs). (Example 2: Any birds, snakes, lizards, or other ancient reptiles/amphibians/whatever, such as Lapras, Rodan, Bulbasaur, and sea monsters do NOT count, as none of them are primarily based off of non-avian dinosaurs).
-----------------------
Rule 2 (The Digimon Clause)
Only a certain number of candidates will be allowed per franchise; currently set to 9.
In the final lineup there will be no more than a certain number of characters per franchise (probably 9, to be determined based on submission volume!) But don't let this affect submissions! Filtering for this rule will be done afterward.
-----------------------
Rule 3 (The Dragon's Dogma)
Dinosaurs only, no dragons, but dragonlike dinosaurs are probably fine.
Obviously, dragons do NOT count. However draconic characters that are still able to satisfy Rule 1 CAN count, provided that they can be construed as primarily dinosaur in origin. It can be hard to distinguish, but in general, factors that lean a character towards being more draconic than dinosaur include wings, a primarily serpentine body, and legs that stick out to the side rather than directly under the body. (Example: Guilmon is still clearly a dinosaur, so it counts. But by the time it becomes Megidramon, it is clearly more dragon than dinosaur.).
-----------------------
Rule 4 (Dinosauromorpha)
Shapeshifters allowed only if they ONLY become dinosaurs.
Non dinosaur characters that can turn into dinosaurs CAN have one or more of their dinosaur form(s) submitted, IF and ONLY IF their dinosaur form comes from the ability to specifically and ONLY turn into dinosaurs, NOT as the result of a broader power. (Example: Most Dino Squad members, each of whom can turn into one specific dinosaur, COUNT, but Beast Boy, who can turn into any dinosaur, because he can turn into any animal, does NOT count).
-----------------------
Rule 5 (How Did the Triceratops Speed Up His Computer?)
He gave it a good RAM Robotic dinosaurs allowed ONLY if they look primarily like living creatures, not vehicles or anything.
Partially or fully mechanized characters that satisfy Rule 1 DO count, provided that in addition to the criteria of Rule 1, the core form of the character is meant to resemble a living creature, rather than be a tank or vehicle with dinosaur parts. (Example: Grimlock counts, Mechagodzilla counts, Robirdo does not).

Another A+ addition as always!
Oh Book! Wu, such a sad turn of events. š
Really should brush up on my book knowledge if I'm gonna keep talking about him lol. I'll bring my old thrifted copy to work so I can read on my lunch break!
My character analysis ramblings are very shallow compared to yours. /lh š
Something Something, Wu's hybrids all crave a connection in some way, and will seek it out by any means.
Wu stop projecting your self-isolating superiority and its loneliness onto these crimes of nature. They already know they don't belong.
(Thinking about drawing that "A Human's Touch" idea again)
#dr. henry wu#I don't remember a good bit of the end since I had to finish the book by candle light because of a tropical storm knocking the power out#What got me thinking about this was the line about I.Rex "she's been isolated all her life and is trying to find her place in the food chai#The indoraptor quite literally reaching for some kind/any kind of comfort but not knowing how to react properly due to its isolation.#And scorpios is pretty vague tbh since it's main draw is heat/warmth but only having an aggressive interaction with anything it sees.

Indoraptor and Ink Demon Headcanons
Sooo, I was bored last night and let my tired brain wander through some headcanons of my two favorite characters in fiction meeting and their interactions with each other if it wasn't just "them trying to murder the other". They have some similarities, but like, this is a very niche topic so read if you'd like. (And yes I'm writing two different stories where they would meet so look out for that if you're interested)
The Indoraptor likes to mimic the Ink Demon's smile. Ink thinks he's doing it as a form of mockery, but it's really just the dinosaur copying his persistent behavior.
Do they play fight? ... Yeah. Mostly because they occasionally get on the other's nerves. The Indoraptor specifically nips on Ink's horns if he's ticked off with him.
Both of them hate loud noises so they usually stray away from human civilization for the most part. Indo is more inclined to hunt humans down because they're, well, easier prey than bears.
I just think it would be funny if the Indoraptor taught the Ink Demon how to climb trees. Despite him having goatlike hooves, I don't think he would've done nearly as much climbing in the studio as opposed to creatures like mountain goats whom spend extensive time scaling treacherous peaks. And we've already seen Indo be able to scale buildings.
I'd like to think that these two have some weird form of communication. The Indoraptor canonically has echolocation, while the Ink Demon seems to have a sort of omnipresence in the studio at times. Outside the studio, I'd still like to think his sense of smell and hearing are just as clear. Perhaps they click their claws together in varying patterns that describe something specific like "Danger", "Food", etc.
Maybe the Indoraptor calls Ink "Drippy" or something along those lines since he, well, literally drips ink everywhere. And no I don't mean the meme version of drip--
I imagine Indo once, out of curiosity, lapped at some of the machine's ink. This is what happened:
He never did it again after that.
If the Indoraptor somehow ended up in the ink realm, I'd imagine he keeps trying to eat searchers or lost ones. And, following the former bullet point, that doesn't go well for him. Ink has to bring him actual meat inside the machine or has to pull him away from eating inky things if he gets too hungry.
Maisie and Audrey are their hoomans respectively. No touch. (And yes Maisie is like Audreyās little sister or daughter)
Them bc yessss: (Don't take this too seriously but I think it would be cute even if it's super out of character)-- They form a cuddle pile at night to keep warm.
THEY'RE BROTHERS, YOUR HONOR!!!!!!
Anyways, thanks for listening to my niche ramble. Might do some more later. :)

The Cannibal thoughts...
~ The Cannibal has survived and adapted to hunt other dragons, therefore he'd have an advantage when it comes to fighting/battling his own kind. As a young dragon he definitely only picked on eggs and hatchlings like a scavenger, perhaps out of desperation/convenience. The bigger and older he grew, the more ambitious he got with his prey. He'd start to hunt bigger and bigger dragons, hence why he's covered in so many scars from many hunts- some successful, others not. He'd grow smarter and adapt the way he hunts. he stalks and goes for weak areas. He definitely goes for the throat and jaw (either he tears a lower or upper jaw off so his opponent cannot bite or tear, and the throat, to damage their ability to efficiently breathe fire. He'd also try to mangle the others wings with his claws so they cannot fly well, so basically he pulls a lot of dirty, but effective moves to win.
~ His appetite towards his own kind, and the experience/adapting he's gone through to actually kill other dragons makes him ferocious- not particularly his size. Considering Caraxes was able to take down Vhagar, and cannibal is just a tad bit smaller than her, his size doesn't always grant him advantages. He's not particularly swift or quick like Moondancer, but much like Vhagar, he's steady and heavy on his wings- but he is clever and strategic. He'd probably do things like fly/hunt at night so his black scaled body can blend in with the night sky above (he'd hunt by flying above his prey, where's he's almost invisible to their eye, and strike down). He's adapted and survived by becoming a hunter, not a loud prowling monster (most of the time).
~ Also you know how cannibalism has an abnormal effect on the brain and behaviour? That definitely adds to his uncanniness. His stare is too... Human looking. There's this something that disconnects him from the other dragons. He stalks around with his head still like a panther, and he grins. His jaw is heavily scarred, and he's missing flesh and scales around parts of his mouth- exposing his teeth and gums. It kinda gives an illusion that he's open mouth grinning, like he has a Cheshire grin. (I love the idea of an uncanny, Lovecraftian horror dragon that is just unsettling to look at). His intimidation itself puts him high on the hierarchy amongst the dragons.
~ He's sadistic and likes playing with weaker prey. Like the indoraptor for example- that scene where he was pretending to be asleep, and started swiping his tail in the air to let the man know he was very aware and awake. He didn't spring to attack- he let it draw out slowly. Grinning and playing, acting slow and unpredictable- like he was torturing him by pressing his muzzle straight the man's face, just to let him feel his teeth pressed against him, before striking and chomping him into pieces.
~ He's very independent and likes his freedom. The only way he'd tolerate a rider, is if they wouldn't try to keep them confined to them. Whether it be a pit or a cage, he hates it. He wants to do his own thing.
(That's one of the main reasons bastard!reader and Cannibal bond together- over their mutual focus and longing on freedom). He may disappear for days- weeks, even. Just to travel and hunt and stretch his wings- he doesn't like staying cooped up on the beach forever. He's like a cat who enjoys roaming outside and hates being trapped indoors- but definitely comes back for biscuits and snuggles in his warm bed. (Aka, the beach).
~ He's very endurable and strategic and strong. He isn't very quick, however, so that's a weakness that can be exploited by a smaller opponent. He's dangerous- but not untouchable/overpowered. He can most likely fare well in combat with another dragon, even vermithor and Vhagar if he is feeling ambitious or driven enough to.

I have successfully rewatched all six Jurassic movies; my love of dinosaurs is indeed buzzing at the forefront of my skull once again. Does anyone know of a place I can pirate Prehistoric Planet?
Jurassic Park is back on Netflix. I can feel myself falling back into a hyperfixation as we speak.
#honestly the last two Jurassic movies didn't need to exist#I mean to be fair the second and third films didn't need to exist either#the first was perfect and should've been left alone#but Jurassic World was a fun mix of nostalgia and ''what if they DID get the park up and running for the public?''#and also gave us anti-hero raptors#something that I personally had wanted since I first saw the first movie when I was. like. two or three?#so I'll defend that movie above any of the other sequels#although while I acknowledge Fallen Kingdom is a mess that introduced plot threads only to ignore/retcon them in the very next movie#it's admittedly probably my favorite of the bunch just for the indoraptor and Maisie#so much so that I don't even care that Dominion sucks ass#I'm too busy vibrating at my own ideas for where Fallen Kingdom COULD have been taken#some light retconning of my own and we're in business#dinodawrs

The Six Veldigun And Their Horror Monster Archetypes, or How To Make A Good Veldigun OC
So Iāve been thinking a lot about Veldigun. What would happen if I created more, specifically. The thing about them is that theyāre all made to fit into specific horror monster archetypes: so I figured, why not explore those archetypes to help those who want to make good OCs that seem like theyād be canon characters?
(Note to self that I only have fairly limited knowledge of horror movies, and what I have seen is based almost entirely on Kill Counts for them. So this is just a collection of that limited knowledge, plus some extra help from TV Tropes.)
The Main Six
Clyde - Basic Horror Monster
Thereās really not much to say about Clyde. Heās a parody of your basic supernatural horror monsters: the Xenomorph, the Thing, Pennywise- that last one especially is clearly a big inspiration for him.
You could also say the Velociraptors from Jurassic Park (or the Indominus, or the Indoraptor- really any of the smarter dinos) and I wouldnāt blame you. Clydeās biggest weapon is easily his intelligence, no matter how fast he is or how badly he can warp body and mind.
Winfrey - Brown Note Being
(ok I know this is kind of an awkward name given the tropeās named after a recurring joke from South Park but itās what TV Tropes calls this kind of horror monster so Iāll go with it)
This is the best trope I could find to sum up what he is, if what was established in the old lore still keeps up. Heās really big, and mainly stays in the same place all the time, but his āmusicā is what makes him dangerous.
Heās like a Quiet Place monster but in reverse. Other similarities you could pull include the Bird Box monster and Medusa.
Klaus - Slasher Villain
I think itās been said in the old lore (again, if it still keeps up) than Klaus doesnāt absorb peopleās minds like the others, he just kills them. This combined with his humanoid appearance (humanoid for a Veldigun, that is) and height makes it pretty obvious what heās pulling from.
Big members of this archetype include Ghostface, Michael Myers, Freddy Krueger (kinda?), Jason Voorhees, and- most importantly as he has been said to be a big inspiration for him- William Afton.
Jack - The Trap
This is less of a horror monster archetype and more of a horror game mechanic but come on, this is clearly what heās pulling from.
Heās supposed to be like a mimic, or the Dread Duckies from Dark Deception. An inanimate object that you think is safe to approach, but then oh fuck, youāre dead.
Simon - The Exception
Because thereās always one of these kinds of monster. Whenever thereās a whole bunch of different monsters and they all have different mechanics, thereās always one that actually doesnāt pose a threat to you at all. Not much more to say.
The Flock - ???
ā¦Iām not actually sure what heās supposed to be.
My closest guess is that heās supposed to be a horror monster thatās actually not a monster at all but just a particularly aggressive animal, like Jean Jacket from Nope. What do you guys think?
Archetype Ideas For All You OC Creators
And hereās what youāre all looking for: the part where I list off all the horror monster tropes I can think of so you can make Veldigun of them! Take a look:
Parasite/Hive Mind - Hive Mind Veldigun that has a āmain bodyā with limited abilities but can also infect people into sorta sub-Veldigun that canāt infect others themselves and can also be killed. How would you guys take this? Iām thinking ānest of countless brightly-coloured, itching ants that lay eggs under your skin to brainwash youā myself.
Mind Hive - Ok, what if there was a Veldigun that didnāt absorb minds in the same way the others do? As in, there is no āmainā Veldigun and instead just all of its victims fighting for control?
Little Menaces - This is kinda a sub-kind of the hive mind idea I brought up earlier but think about it. You know Gremlins? What if that but Veldigun?
Blind/Deaf - This trope has become ALL TOO FUCKING popular in the past few years. We need a Veldigun about it.
Ghostlike - Basically if Grimmso got the chance he deserved. All the basic ghost abilities: invisibility, intangibility, flight, etc. Is this a bit too OP for a Veldigun? Yes. Do I care? No.
Living Curse - This kinda wasnāt worded correctly but imagine a Veldigun thatās less of a tangible entity and more of a force. Like the Smile curse, or the Killer Track from Hatchetfield.

Another 4433 NightHood AU idea
If Lewis learnt how to mourn correctly, he wouldn't stand in front of the display, wondering what kind the younger would've wanted, or if he'd just ignore it for the sake of Christian and Torger.
He never truly understood why people would buy stuffed animals after a younger family member close to them died, but now he wonders if he should buy the plush-looking lion, a resemblance to Max's endless sense of honour and courage.
"You must really think about the perfect gift for your siblings," a soft voice next to him scares him, too deep in thought to notice the world around him.
He glances next to him, coming face-to-face with a young man, his appearance taking on more of an androgynous look but still resembling the traditional masculine idea.
"I'm sorry, but I'm not really following," he admits and the stranger smiles.
"The plush toys, you stared at them for quite some time now, you must be really considering which you want to gift to your sibling. Would you mind me helping you out a bit?"
"It's not for my sibling," Lewis sighs at the truth, "it's for me. Heā¦died recently and I wanted to feel some comfort but he never had any stuffed toys, so I hoped to find something that reminds me of him."
A shocked and pitying expression crosses the stranger and he lays his hand comfortingly on Lewis' shoulder. "I'm sorry to hear this, Sir. I get what you're going through-"
Lewis wanted to scoff and laugh at that because no, the stranger would never be able to get what he's going through because neither Max nor he had a normal life like them.
"- but maybe, look for a toy you connect with a memory more than a whole person. Remembering a person will cause you to remember everything, but for comfort, you only want the good memories to stay, so look for a memorable plush instead of a normal one."
With that, the stranger parts and Lewis' eyes slowly drift away from the lion, landing on the perfect plush for him - hidden underneath the cutely designed herbivores of Jurassic World, there's the Indoraptor.
"I promised to take you to the next movies, my Little Tooth, didn't I?"

I just rewatched Jurassic World 2. Indoraptor Headcanons! šļø š©ø š¦
1. Indoraptor is cleverā¦ but lazy
Indoraptor is so used to being pushed and prodded in combat testing that he just uses the easiest killing method (playing dead, then CHOMP, for example) that he can.
Heās highly intelligent and probably doesnāt find killing challenging, so he tries to make it entertaining, as we saw with the guy who tried to steal one of his teeth.
2. Indoraptor doesnāt know what a bed is
The only way I can wrap my head around why (besides plot armour) Indoraptor took so long to try and kill Maisy? Well either he has a soft spot for other genetically unique living things (he doesnāt but itās a nice thought) , or he had no fucking clue what those bed covers were and was being cautious.
He basically got treated like a weapon his whole life and was raised in facility full of cages. Unfortunately that means bed linen probably looks completely alien to him. If Maisy is acting like the soft covers can protect her, he has no way to confirm that they wonāt, and is probably cautious because he doesnāt know what they are for.
3. Indoraptor canāt see straight
Directly from the front you can see that the Indoraptorās eyes are not really as forward facing as they should be. Many land predators have forward facing eyes to hunt with. But his eye sockets are very deep and the eyebrow crest is in the way. Itās a weird flaw but if something is directly in front of his face and close he probably tilts his head to see better.
4. Sadly, he is underfed
I can see all of his bones, his belly is nonexistent. They want him to look like a raging killing machine, but they also probably withhold food to make him follow commands in exchange for food. You know, like how Seaworld treats Orcas.
Altogether this is a very sad character that never gets to use his intelligence for anything other than being a weapon, but has some interested characteristics outside of screaming and killing stuff.
P.S. These drawings are mine. Donāt use them.

ROUND 1 ROUNDUP
Thanks to everyone who participated in Round 1! Just for fun, I thought I would gather up some stats I've found so far. You can get an idea of the individual results here, as always, but this post will have some aggregate data. So, let's get right to it:
Of course, keep in mind that all ranking comparisons are not really indicative of how popular any given candidate is (except maybe the series aggregates at the end), but rather only specifically how much more popular they were than their opponent. So, it's very much anyone's game!
Anyway thanks again to all participants, and I hope for your continued participation in Round 2 (currently ongoing!) and beyond!
Under the cut since I got a bit carried away with the categories...
------

2nd place: Styracavus [Flight Rising], at 85.3% (over Riff [Barney])
3rd place: Url [Dinosaur (2000)], at 83.7% (over Darkyloseid [DC])

1st place: Prehistoric Planet (100%), from 5 candidates

------

And that's everything I felt like tracking! If you have other questions feel free to ask, although I may not have tracked the right data for it; for example I did not keep track of actual vote counts at all because I didn't realize I should until I had already not done so for several weeks, and really don't feel like doing so.
