my atla au fanfic pet peeve is people making katara angry or reluctant at zuko joining the group. katara was the FIRST one to trust and forgive zuko. he spent >5min telling her he had a tragic backstory and she was ready to use up her one and only vial of superultramagical healing on a cosmetic problem because it would make him happy.

katara is thee Most forgiving, trusting, and generous of the lot. thats Why she could be betrayed at all. Because she trusted so easily! the fact she holds a grudge at a betrayal that got her best friend killed severely injured does not mean she is anything less than the most trusting and willing to take a chance on others of the group!

if in an alternate universe zuko wound up joining the group earlier or the betrayal never happened she would be the first to accept him, she would welcome him with open arms and fight on his behalf with the groups true skeptic ie sokka

i finally finished the pacrim au and i should prob write like a final chapter post to promote it but that would take sooo much energy and i'm gonna use the last remnants of it tonight to write a little more of this magic realism fic and maybe play in the toxic bucktaylor sandbox that cly's unlocked for me

maybe ill write the post tomorrow tho, as a send-off, she deserves it

“I’ve heard that song you played before. I like your version on the piano,” the lady called out to her. Her voice was raspy like she indulged in many of the whiskeys she poured.  Her heart thumped louder in her chest. “I- No you haven’t.” She sucked down her water with gusto, the cold almost burning as it hit the back of her throat. “Sure. A kid from around here plays it down the road all the time. Usually at Seaworth’s, but he plays a few gigs down this strip too.” The woman emptied her lime juice into another bottle as if her words didn’t change the very fabric of Dany’s day.

i do not understand baseball and i have no desire to learn anything about it but i genuinely love reading about it in stories. it always has a really specific, calm and slightly lonesome mood but not downtrodden, just.... grounded. accepting. at peace. not yet happy but learning to be content in the way a stifling hot summer day isn't really the time to rush anything but maybe the perfect time to sit in the grass and watch the clouds. very lovely

Summary -

Senior Year of high school has finally come. Both Kevin and Edd walk into school struggling with hidden feelings, the former determined to take action on them, the latter attempting to keep them buried. Kevin's home life is shit, and Edd tries his best to keep away from his own empty home. When Kevin sees the affects Edd's home life has on the Dork, he remembers something Naz told him about once - a unique form of meditation he's certain will help the nerd out. Through a mishap of impatient willful ignorance, the meditation exercise goes awry, plunging them them into a series of irreversible events that bond the pair for life while dragging the rest of the cul-de-sac down with them. Lo and behold, the veil between worlds is ripping...
