One of my favorite icemav hcs is that they secretly think the other one is the better pilot, they’ll just never say that to each others face

When they’re alone it’s all “of course I’m the better pilot, what are you talking about?” but they secretly tell everyone else the other one is the best there is

I mean, in TGM, Mav was way too happy to clarify that he in fact got second place, I can totally see him being insufferable about the fact he has the greatest navy pilot as his wingman

And I can seriously picture Iceman making phone call after phone call because “how could you possibly bench the navy’s greatest pilot ever?”

It’s just something I’m always thinking about, they might tease each other, but they also secretly think it’s not even a competition at all :)

I need to marinate more thoughts for this but. okay so gravity falls au. partially inspired by this. fiddleford has the memory gun and he's This Close to using it on himself to erase what he saw in the portal. he pauses. he thinks, just because I forget doesn't mean stanford will stop building the portal. he thinks it's all or nothing. he goes to stanford's shack in the woods. he sneaks in through the side door and sees stanford sleeping on the couch. it's dark outside. the lights are out. fiddleford can barely make out the shape of his former-friend's body. fiddleford looks at Stanford one last time. he types into the memory gun, Stanford Pines. he points the gun. half a second before he fires, Stanford stirs, as if sensing the danger he is in. he manages to get out "who-" before fiddleford, panicking, pulls the trigger before he can chicken out completely.

Mf this line hit close like home..Way too realistic for me.

I came from an extremely ruthless, neglected and dysfuntional family almost like Gun's Yamazaki syndicated. When I was young, I have to witness violence and bad things so I had some distorted thoughts like that.

We abused kids don't understand emotions. Because we have to cut them off since young age to survive (to live in this household with less pain to feel) and we never see any emotion express in their faces (except anger). We can never be sure whatever the thing we feel inside is truly the emotion everyone labels it. It's so confusing to the point its scary to let ourselves freely feel something.

In this panel, Gun was shocked but he couldn't tell the thing he felt as "sadness" because emotionally he wasn't sure, plus he suppressed it so much the emotion became dull to feel clearly. I tend to describe this stage as "standing in shallow water". We could never feel emotion as deep as normal people do. That's a sad fact. Moreover, the feeling (the pain) will come to us after a long delay. We don't feel it right away but later.

Hope this help to understand some part of Gun's twisted mind.

I love the moment in 2x08 when TK, in the midst of being held at gunpoint and kidnapped, reached into his pocket and pulled out his sobriety chip and dropped it on the ground.

It was so smart to do, but it also shows how much trust and faith he has in Carlos (and his dad, the 126, etc.) because a random person stumbling across that chip wouldn't think twice about it. The coin isn't custom made with his name on it - anybody could have accidentally dropped one in a parking garage. But Carlos knows as soon as he sees it that it's TK's and what it means.

and TK dropped it because he knew Carlos and his family would be looking for him. TK knew that once he was late enough and didn't check in, it would be Carlos who would go searching for him.

So this might be explained better in the books and I am sadly a movie/show only IWTV enjoyer, but do all scars from life heal once a vamp is turned? Would Daniel still have his neck scars?

Better yet, if Daniel had any tattoos pre-turning, would they still be there? God it would be so funny if he had a really dumb like bet tattoo somewhere that he gets stuck with. And it would be interesting to see what happens if one of the others tried to get something only for it to immediately heal and be gone without a trace. I could see Armand being interested in the experiment anyway, maybe getting a little carried away with it…
