My favorite thing about her is her character. At least to me, she’s like a ghibli protagonist…she makes the wrong decisions, she doesn’t always get things right, but she’s noble and is always doing what she thinks is expected of her. She is very sweet & wears her heart on her sleeve even if she doesn’t realize it💔 I hope I can show her growth as the story goes on😭💓

At the same time, it’s kind of my least favorite thing as well. She can be REALLY frustrating to me bc she doesn’t make the same decisions I would😤 I sometimes write her accepting things that happen to her, or going along with things that are detrimental bc it’s what she thinks she should be doing, AND IT’S PAINFUL !!!!!! I JUST WANT TO SHAKE SOME SENSE INTO HER !!!!! But then I remember how stupid I was at sixteen…remembering that *I* survived my teens somehow & I was WAY worse than she is and learned my lesson😆😆 and I’m like…she will be fine😌

Can we please not call Jimmy a narcissist/narcissistic in an insulting way? It’s something I’ve noticed in the fandom not only on here but on other platforms as well, and it’s really uncomfortable to see. You can hate a character without resorting to using mental disorders as an insult.

Why the hell does expired, unexposed Kodachrome of all things command a premium

One of the earliest examples of Leo’s “I’ll do my own thing to accomplish our goal without discussing it with my team first” is in episode one. It’s super, super quick, and ultimately inconsequential, but it subtly sets up a great precedent that I think is very interesting.

When the boys need to grab the medallion from Splinter without Splinter noticing, Raph, Mikey, and Donnie huddle together with Raph taking the lead in trying to devise a plan to get the mystic device. Meanwhile, Leo slinks away and grabs the device by clocking the situation (by knowing his father well enough to predict his actions - something he does with each family member multiple times in the series) and making a move on his own.

It works out perfectly fine, and is ultimately the best move, and it’s honestly okay that he didn’t consult everyone for something so small when it’s such a non issue to get it, but it nicely sets up how this tends to go in the series, including how it goes in the movie.

To be honest episode one is actually really good at setting up a lot of things for each character in the long run, this is just one example that caught my attention, as small and unassuming as it is.

Arti: Don’t. It’s in the past now.

Gourmand: Is it? 

Gourmand: You attacked him over saying something that triggered you, so no, it doesn’t seem to be all in the past. 

Gourmand: It isn’t fair to hurt someone for not knowing something that you never told them. 

PART ONE IS DONE!!!!!!!!! Part two will probably come in about, uh, seven years, give or take. /j

(It isn’t perfect, but it’s been too long and I needed to get the first part of this comic out. I’m honestly super happy I finished, because it was unnecessarily hard lmao. Anyways I’m gonna ramble in the tags now)
