well, not always. always a little amount of musical number, an idea to put a melody together that relaxes your exhausted mind and body, to let you drift to sleep in his embrace while your last thought to consciousness is about him.
he'll hum to you, burying claws or fingertips through your hair, scratching your scalp as you would a puppy. tracing patterns down the arch of your back, noting how the bend of your spine curves into him.
he'll play for you, not minding how you sink into the cushions and beanbags you're propped up against, how you swear to him you're not falling asleep, how he smiles so warm and fond when your eyelids close for the night and your breathing switches. how he wishes for an eternity to see it more.
if the last thing you always fall asleep to is his embrace, his voice, he'll love your senses and press a gentle kiss to your forehead as he scoops you up close. he'll rest you against his chest and tell you, "it's okay, i've got you.."
