so minerva has her whole blood mage thing going on but does she pick up any other specializations? im currently planning out a surana who was just the biggest nerd always trying to research his heritage bc like "it wasnt always like this. mages, elven mages, werent always locked up in towers.. right?" so as soon as he's free he's trying anything he can to find out more? so he becomes an arcane warrior, he gains the keeper spec in awakening, he goes with morrigan thru the eluvian bc like yeah go w/ ur wife but also like elves! he's so obssessed with the concept of reclaiming his past that he chooses these specializations so now im curious what minerva would do? as far as im aware she sticks to just being a blood mage?
minerva is a blood mage arcane warrior and battlemage! she’s actually buff as all hell by awakening it’s a really funny situation where i didn’t even need to take warriors out because she and sigrun had the front line fighting handled. she very much priorities anything that gives her agency and independence, she doesn’t like running support or relying on her party members to do the damage (she heavily heavily prioritises the elemental school), and she’s pretty invigorated by the immediacy of combat. she’s no squishy background mage. she does still wield a stave though, she effectively just uses arcane warrior to wear massive armour
minerva is not particularly interested in her elven heritage, partly because of what she was taught in the circle, partly because she craves independence and the ability to control others’ perception of her, to be defined by herself alone. even when she does admit to the idea of other elves as her people, it wouldn’t be the dalish. minerva was raised in an alienage and her family are from tevinter; she respects the dalish and takes an academic interest in their magical knowledge, but as far as she is concerned, they have nothing to do with her. she would consider herself to have more in common with a human circle mage than a dalish elf in every way that matters. she actively avoids taking the keeper specialisation and she doesn’t progress very far with arcane warrior (again, she really only uses it superficially to wear armour, she doesn’t wield a blade or unlock the rest of the skill tree)
that being said, it’s more complicated than she admits. she doesn’t fully explore arcane warrior, but she also doesn’t teach it to any human mage except finn, who she only offers it to exclusively because he’s going to run off with ariane—it will keep him safe out there as a mage alone, and it will mean they can share the knowledge with ariane’s clan. i hc that velanna eventually teaches minerva’s son the keeper specialisation and while minerva never wanted to be taught it herself, she takes more than a passing interest in those lessons
#by then she’s kind of mellowed out abt the whole thing#and she’s also found out that her sibling went and ran off to join the dalish after she got taken to the circle#so with that and velanna being a part of her life combined the dalish feel a lot less distant than they once did#thanks for the q! :D love to talk specialisations#minerva surana

idk if you’d be comfortable writing this but I was wondering if you could whip up an Aphrodite!reader who’s fed up with her beauty. She stops attending school and stays the full term at camp which makes Luke confused. So she tells him about how random dudes would hit on her and be creepy at her school or something. She’d prolly join him with Kronos bc she wants to feel respected for once. Would be such an angsty but filled with femme rage although totally cool if you choose not to write this~ Just wanted to share it with someone 💛
Pairing: Luke Castellan x Aphrodite!Reader
Summary: Maybe you didn't want to be beautiful anymore.
Content: pretty angsty, brief mentions of male harassment but nothing explicit or triggering, again sorry for the wait i had w block pls forgive me. also not proofread sorry yall its been a rough week.
You were only faintly aware of the noise around you.
The chatter of the city was a mere buzz in the back of your head as you marched down the street. It amazed you, really, just how unbelievably dickish mortal boys could be. This one in particular; Mike Schwartz, a five foot something jock who sat on the bench at every game. He’d been a bother in your life since you started high school. Back then, you took the endless prospects as a compliment – you truly were your mother’s daughter. It was a boost to your weak teenage confidence.
But as the years went by, the constant asking for your hand became an irritant. Especially when they couldn’t get the hint – at fourteen, turning down guys felt amazing, but when those same guys kept coming back for more, it made your eye twitch. Couldn’t they take the first no, tuck their tail between their legs and fuck off?
Apparently not.
After four years of putting up with it, you were done. Storming out of the cafeteria, grabbing all your things, hailing a cab and getting the hell outta dodge. Maybe you should’ve stopped to think — called your dad, taken a few deep breaths. But the harder you thought about it, after trying not to for so many years, you came to the conclusion that you would’ve ended up here anyway.
Here being the peak of HalfBlood Hill in the middle of September. It was only slightly unusual, because when you usually arrive at the start of summer you get to watch the crowds of arrivals setting up shop at camp. Now, however, it was fairly desolate. Less people, you knew.
It was also a split second shock when you stepped across the border and felt the drastic change in weather. From the cool breeze of the autumn air to the warm summery spring that camp was in year-round. A shift that made you pause, but you kept on down the hill anyway.
Chiron was waiting for you on the porch of the Big House, and without so much as a word, gestured for you to follow him inside. He was fairly understanding of your situation, but made you Iris Message your dad and tell him of your decision. He, too, was more glad you were safe than angry you ran off.
“We can talk about this when you feel like talking.” He’d said.
So you’d done it. Finally, you’d gotten yourself away from the hey hot stuffs and the you seeing anyone baby?s. You were back at camp, you were where you were most happy.
But you weren’t happy.
Being a year-rounder, you’d discovered, was a lot less busy than being a summer camper. You got more days off, longer breaks between activities. You found yourself spending more time in your own company; something you never really got to do before. Most of the time you were with your siblings, or your mortal friends, or you were being hounded by some frat boy and their friends.
It took a minute to get used to the loneliness, but you did. You explored camp, found places you hadn’t seen before. A cute clearing near a stream on the east side of the forest, or a Satyr sanctuary on the far end of the beach. You read more books, you trained a little harder, you perfected six new hairstyles on your little sister Elena and Annabeth from the Athena Cabin.
And yet, you were still pissed off.
“Why?”
Luke Castellan was a name everyone knew in this little corner of Long Island. One of the oldest campers, head counsellor of the rowdiest cabin, token tour guide for the new kids. Oh, and the best swordsman camp had seen in, like, three centuries. He was cute, that much you’d heard all around your cabin. But you’d never really held a solid conversation with him until you became a year-rounder. The fewer people around, the more you run into him.
You’d been practising a few neat tricks with a dagger when he spotted you. Said he was there to train himself for once and that you wouldn’t even notice he was there. You did, though. Especially when he took his shirt off twenty minutes in.
You shared a water break, he asked you why you’d transferred to being a year rounder, and you indulge him in the story. He was super nice about it too, which made you angry. Was Luke the only nice guy on the planet?
“But at least you’re happier now, right?” He’d said. You weren’t, you told him that much. He gave you this knowing look you’d never seen on him before, and asked Why?
You shrugged, “I don’t know. I love it here, I do. But I shouldn’t have to uproot my entire life and bring it here just to get some semblance of peace. I shouldn’t have to give up my education, my friends, my dad, just so I don’t have to get harassed every day. It’s not even like my mom gave me anything to help combat it, either. She just made me beautiful and told me to deal with the consequences! I mean,” You let out a weak chuckle, holding up the dagger you’d been toying with, “This was a birthday present from a friend in Cabin Six. Not even my mother, who is a warrior herself, could bother sending me a weapon. They really don’t give two shits about us, do they?”
He’d parted his lips, eyes shining with something, and looked at you through his bottom lashes, “No. They don’t.”
You and Luke grew closer after that. A lot closer. By the time summer rolled around and the rest of the campers returned, you were inseparable. Many rumours spread but you two ignored them in favour of sneaking into that clearing you’d found and talking in whispers about your hatred for the gods. Who cared if they could hear you? Let them.
It was Luke who had come up with the idea to steal the bolt. A quick job, in and out, and maybe then they’d listen to what you’d have to say. But they didn’t — they did exactly what they always did and risked the lives of two young demigods and a satyr just because they couldn’t be bothered doing it themselves. Selfish — that’s what they were. They didn’t care about anyone —
“ — but themselves!” You glared at Thalia, who stood before you atop Mount Tamalpais with her spear in your direction. “I mean, look at your dad. He didn’t care enough to stop the monsters from killing you, oh, but it’s okay because he turned you into a damn tree!”
“This isn’t the way!” Annabeth yelled from afar. Her hair was twisted in a style you’d taught her how to do that first year as a year-rounder. It broke your heart that she couldn’t see how right you and Luke were.
“Curse them, Thalia.” You said plainly, holding up your dagger. Half mortal metal, half celestial bronze. A gift from Luke. “Curse your father and his children. His brothers. Curse them all like they deserve to be cursed! They deserve to be toppled.”
You tilted your head, looking at them all. Luke and your army were heading steadily up the mountain. If you could convince them now, there wouldn’t need to be a battle.
“Where are they now, huh?” You raised both your arms, “You’re fighting for your life against a titan on a mountain and the only god who came to help out was Artemis? And that’s just because she was here already.” You scoffed out a laugh, “You should thank us, really, for taking her. Had we not, you’d be dead already.”
Annabeth watched. You were unrecognisable in that moment — your face streaked with dirt and blood, curled into a dark sneer that any of your siblings would berate you for because of the wrinkles you’d get. You didn’t seem to care all that much, though. Not when Thalia was lunging for you and attempting to pull you out of the rage you were in. Not when her spear and shield were no match for your measly dagger and you went toppling down the mountain.
The next time any of them saw you was in Manhattan — after believing you to be dead for a year and a half, it came as a shock when you emerged from the crowd of monsters. Your hair was hacked short, and one of your legs had been replaced with a bronze prosthetic. You fought with a ruthlessness none of them had seen in you before, whether it be because you were on the losing side or because Luke had given his body to the Lord of Time before you had the chance to tell him you loved him. You were still angry, and even if you hated Kronos, you didn’t hate him nearly as much as you hated the gods.
When Luke died, you were kneeled beside him. Your face was dirty, your hair was knotty, and there was a dent in your bronze leg. He lifted a hand to your face, “I’m sorry to have to say this, but…you’re sorta beautiful.”
“Sorta?”
He grinned, and then he died, and you were filled with such unbridled rage that you pushed yourself down to the ground of Manhattan and tore through Kronos’ army with fire in your eyes, not stopping until Apollo got rid of your sight and forced you to calm down. You didn’t know if you’d ever be calm, since the only person who ever understood you just died in your arms, but you dropped your dagger and stomped your way back up to Olympus like a bratty child anyway.
Zeus didn’t punish you for what you did, but he did say he’d be keeping a firm eye on you. You joined the hunters, much to your mothers disdain, and didn’t ever allow yourself to look back.

To say this is a surprise is an understatement.
Slade made the offer in seriousness, though perhaps not fully. It’s the first offer he’s made since Adeline’s passing and while it’s been four years, long enough for the grieving period to be over, he hasn’t given full thought to remarrying. He has his hands full, with Grant’s sullenness and Joey’s muteness and then the addition of Rose, and the idea of finding a new mate was a distant one.
Richard Grayson is handsome, to be sure, and charming, a jewel of the Wayne pack with no shortage of admirers. His introduction to society was unfortunately followed by his father’s disappearance and the flurry of a mourning period it prompted, cutting off courtships for a few years. Lord Wayne was thankfully found a few months ago, but it appears he’s not quite all the way well, because Richard and his siblings arrived in London on their own this season.
They’ve been fawned over at every turn, a sickening display that Slade’s mostly avoided, but he ran into Richard quite by chance when Rose went missing on an outing at the park. He found her with Wayne’s little brat of an heir, both kids shrieking gleefully under Richard’s fond supervision. Once the children made friends, there was, of course, no escaping the interactions, and Slade watched with increasing desire as Richard calmly and evenly handled two sets of hellions with admirable ease.
The omega is young but mature, gracious and kind but also stubborn. Protective of his packmates, of children no matter who they are. Pretty. Rich. Enough hints of fire to pique Slade’s interest.
When Joey all but clambered into Slade’s lap to solemnly demand that Dick join their pack, his interest finally solidified into an offer. Even Grant only made a huff at the proposition, a ringing endorsement from the sullen teen, and Rose was willing to do anything to ensure she keeps her playmate.
So Slade sent his offer, serious but expecting nothing of it. For all the reasons Slade wants him, Grayson has a hundred admirers, younger, richer, belonging to more powerful families. Slade is a widower with three children and Richard is the eldest omega of the Wayne pack, he didn’t imagine it would be taken seriously.
“Forgive me, but I have to be blunt,” Slade said, crossing his arms on his desk and leaning forward. “Why?”
Richard is sitting in the seat opposite, straight-backed, shoulders relaxed, hands resting in his lap. He radiates tension despite it.
“You were the one who made the offer, my lord,” Richard says evenly. “Are you rescinding it?”
“I’m asking you why you’re accepting it,” Slade says flatly. He has no patience for games. “I’m nearly twice your age, with three children. I cannot possibly be your best offer.”
“If you’re so certain I wouldn’t accept, why did you offer at all?”
Yet another question answered with a question. If he wasn’t already suspicious, the deflections would cement it.
Slade narrows his eye. “Don’t play naïve, boy, it doesn’t suit you.” Something flickers in Richard’s eyes, there and gone. “If I’m your choice, then there’s something you’re hiding.” He drops his voice to a growl, “And I don’t like secrets near my family. Not after what the last one did.”
Richard drops his gaze and swallows, shoulders hunching, giving into the anxiety hovering around him like a cloud. Slade gives him a minute. If he still won’t speak, Slade will have him thrown out. The children will be unhappy, but better unhappy than maimed.
“I—I was—I am,” Richard swallows, tries again, swallows, tries again. “It’s just—I wasn’t—I—”
“Just spit it out,” Slade snaps.
Richard doesn’t flinch, but he does draw in a deep breath, and when he exhales, he looks up to meet Slade’s gaze. “I know that your lordship already has three children. I was hoping that someone of your position, with an assured line of succession, would be more amenable to taking a mate with prior engagement in behaviors that might threaten the parentage of any heirs. If I was wrong, I hope we can resolve this amicably and restore the goodwill between our packs. It was never my intention to bring any harm to your pack.”
Slade takes a moment to sort through all of it. Richard is ashen, but still keeping Slade’s gaze, sitting prim and proper as though he hasn’t just admitted to being ruined.
“You’re not chaste,” Slade says finally, leaning back.
“No,” Richard says. His hands are clenched in his lap.
“Who?” Slade asks.
It’s not precisely idle curiosity, not with the darker parts of him wanting to shred to pieces anyone who dared to taste the omega. An earlier courtship, maybe, one cut off by Lord Wayne’s disappearance and never resumed? Slade knows that betrothed omegas and alphas will fool around, hiding away from their chaperones, not thinking about the consequences should the agreement be broken off.
“Does it matter?” Richard’s jaw is tight.
Slade raises an eyebrow. “If you want to reach an agreement, yes.”
Richard takes a controlled breath and looks away. “Lord Desmond,” he says sharply. That isn’t what Slade was expecting. “It happened years ago. It will never happen again, I swear it. There was no one else.”

Okay. First of all.
WOAH THAT'S A LOT OF PEOPLE.
I did NOT expect 74 people to vote in the poll 😭🙏🙏🙏 (what the hell, where the fuck did y'all come from?????)
Second of all,,
TIME TO TALK ABOUT THESE FUCKERS 😈🔥🔥🔥🔥‼️💯
Just to state it here before I start yapping my ever living soul out, Shiver is an eastern tall-man, Frye is a beast-man (like Izutsumi) and Big Man is a kobold. I can get a bit more into their designs and headcanons in another post, but today I want to focus on the lore.
It allllllll roots back to Shiver and Frye's fathers, who were friends since lord knows when. They were a team of burglars, looters, thieves, whatever you may call them, but in the end of the day just let it be clear that they were BAD. And they engaged in BAD shit, like looting corpses in dungeons and stealing from people's houses.
One day, they hit a huge one, they got into the house of this really rich dude that turned out to traffic beast men and other illegal creatures. And the rich being rich and caring about their richness, the security was top notch, and let's just say they struggled to get out of the place alive. BUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They left in NO WAY empty handed.
While looting the place, Frye's father found a kobold cub, chained up inside a cage in the corner beside other creatures likely being sold illegally. He brought the cub with him, and after almost getting their asses turned into kebabs by traps everywhere, the two companions were like "holy FUCK i ain't ever ever ever doing this shit again man.,.,. Wgart the ehll,,,,,, I'm getting too old for this, hell naw!!!!!!!" and decided to settle down as (this time legal) and functioning members of society. Shiver's father opened a dojo, while Frye's father opened a restaurant.
However, the rich guy who owned the house was PISSED (and also happened to be a black magic user......... woah how unlucky of them) and as revenge for stealing his wealth and freeing their beast men, cursed Frye's expecting father, mending the soul of his firstborn with the soul of a monster. And alas, that's how the critter was born😋🙏🔥💯😭
So yeah!!!!!!! Frye is a beast man just like Izutsumi is a beast man. They're the same typa monster, pretty much, except that Frye is a leopard instead of a housecat.
Anyway, back to the kobold pup; you guessed it, BIG MAN (or Big Dog?), being raised in the Onaga's restaurant, was always raised around the kitchen, both because he was genuinely interested in watching people cook and because he hoped to get food that fell from the floor lmfao-- as years went by, he started working as a server, apprentice, and eventually assistant chef of the family-ran restaurant. (So yeah, Biggie is the party's chef!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He also has an incredible sense of smell when it comes to cooking btw, both because of genuine talent and because of his race).
Ironic to his early years as a burglar, Shiver's dad grew to become quite the overprotective father once his daughter started growing up, wanting her to do anything but follow his steps and become a criminal before the age of 20. That backfired though, because she started running off to hang out with Frye causing all sorts of trouble (and eventually dragged Big Dog into it all too). The three were raised almost like siblings, and later on joined together as a party and continued to cause all sorts of troubles inside dungeons, where they eventually bumped into the other idols and started this whoooole story years later.
(They weren't all like their fathers though, instead of keeping the money they got from dungeons to themselves they gave it to the poor, much like their canon bandit dynamics.)
Anyway, that's the end of the yapping session, I hope y'all enjoyed (and if you did, please enjoy this page I doodled while blasting ToyBox in my headphones 🦄🙏 perhaps I'll outline and color this one day, but not now because it's 1:30 in the morning while I'm typing this out.)
#splatoon#dunmeshi#splatoon au#dungeon meshi#dungeon meshi au#splatmeshi#I finally fucking wrote the loredrop I promised y'all 😭🙏🙏🙏 sorry for the wait guys!!!!!#hope y'all enjoyed me rambling til i couldn't breathe anymore i loved it i should do this more often 😋🤞#pLEASE please please ask any questions you may have OR any lore requests/ideas. be super welcome to make your own twist into my stories too#i loooooooved writing this oh my godddddddddddddd#tell me if y'all want more details about their lives as young adults 😁🙏🙏🙏 i'll gladly make a whole another post yapping just about that#special thanks to sofia for listening me yap this whole thing in her dms before I polished and posted it here btw. thanks sofia 🤞🤞🤞#frye onaga#frye splatoon#big man#big man splatoon#shiver hohojiro#shiver splatoon#deepcut#maah's yapping sessions

Rose Tyler x Sibling!reader - trying to keep you safe
Hi! Can I request a Familial/Platonic Rose Tyler imagine where the Reader is her younger sibling, and she comforts them after Rose and the Doctor saves them from being taken by Aliens and assures them she won’t let anything happen to them, please? Love your work! - Anon💜
You knew Rose went away with the doctor quite a bit, you found it weird that was his name, and your mum and Mickey wouldn’t tell you much about him.
You wanted to join her but since you were just about to sit your GCSE’s you weren’t allowed to leave much to your sadness.
But Rose kept in contact and updated you on certain things.
Rose and your mum didn’t want you knowing anything about aliens, sometimes you talking with the doctor but he was also under strict orders not to tell you a single thing.
They thought by doing this they would be keeping you safe.
And they were.
At first.
Aliens coming to earth were always run off by the doctor, and these ones were prepared for that.
They wanted the doctor.
He had a companion he cared about deeply.
His companion had a sibling who walked to school in the morning.
So they took you.
One moment you were walking down the street, the next you were gone and trapped in some invisible box that you couldn’t get out of.
You screamed, hit it until your knuckles bled, cried, begged, but they paid you absolutely no mind, even as you sat with your head in buried in your knees out of pure terror.
The aliens stood in front of the screen proudly as they watched the face of the doctor appear on it.
“What do you want?” He snapped.
They grinned and stepped aside to show you.
“(Y/N)!” Rose yelled.
You snapped your head up, looking at the screen through teary eyes.
“Rose!”
You couldn’t understand what the aliens were saying, you could only hear rose and the doctor demanding that you were let go unharmed.
“I promise if any harm comes to (Y/N) you will deal with all the fury of a timelord.” The doctor snarled.
“I promise we won’t let them hurt you (Y/N).” Rose said gently.
You sniffled and shook your head, burying it in your knees again.
The aliens said something to the doctor and cut the communication from him.
They carried on going about ignoring you, but they did keep a very close eye on you in case the doctor tried to break you free.
Except it wasn’t him they should have been looking out for, it was your big sister.
They managed to get aboard the ship, and Rose stormed into the main room where you were being held, and all weapons were pointed at her.
“You shouldn’t have touched them.” She sneered.
They said something.
“They’re my sibling!” Rose yelled.
She carried on arguing with them, and you watched the doctor creeping around the place, hitting buttons and using a weird device on others.
Then he crept over to you, and he held out his hand and you looked at him in fear.
“Come on, quickly…”
You reached out and gave him your hand, letting him pull you up and you both ran over to your older sister, and you cowered behind them.
Rose hugged you tightly, and your clung to the doctors jacket, using him as some sort of shield.
“You made a big mistake, not only coming here, but threatening a human to get to me.”
The aliens chattered something back.
“You should’ve kept a closer eye on your weapons console.”
The doctor gripped your hand and Rose’s and he dragged you both after him as you ran away from the aliens now shooting at you.
He pushed you into the police box first, then rose, and then he followed.
You collapsed to your knees again, tears running down your face as you began to properly process everything.
“Oh (Y/N) im so sorry…”
Rose dropped next to you, holding you tightly.
“Im so sorry I never thought they’d come for you… I thought you were safe…” she whispered.
You cried into her.
“It’s okay.. im here.. we’re not going to let them hurt you…”
She looked up at the doctor and he walked over, crouching down on the other side of you.
“Im sorry (Y/N), it’s my fault they came after you.” He sighed.
“Y…you…?”
You looked at him and he sighed.
He sat down and he wrapped his arms around his knees.
“I promise I’ll explain everything to you when you’re ready, okay?”
You nodded and clung to your older sister, and you looked up at her.
“I trust him.” She whispered.
You nodded your head, and you closed your eyes, trying to get past the horrors you saw not long ago.
Rose’s phone began to ring making you jump.
Rose looked at the doctor, and he sighed, holding his arms out, and Rose passed you over to the doctor and he held you tightly.
You froze a little, he had put your head on his chest and you could hear how strange his heart sounded.
“Do you like space…?” He asked gently.
You nodded a little bit.
“Do you want to see something?”
You shook your head and he nodded.
“Alright then, we’ll just sit here until Rose gets back.”
You nodded again, and he sighed a little bit.
He wasn’t used to teenagers, let alone teenagers who had been scared to death by aliens, and since he wasn’t sure what to do he just hugged you.
But the moment Rose came back you were back in her arms, and she looked to the doctor.
“Mums fuming, we’re both going to be getting an earful from her, and she wants (Y/N) back home now.”
“I think it’s well deserved, we did put them at risk.”
The doctor jumped up and Rose gently shushed you.
She had always wanted you to come travel with them, but seeing what had just happened, she didn’t know where would be safer for you now

I know we all joke about the ninja being dumb, but looking at their combined education...it's honestly a wonder that they're functioning this well.
To start off:
Cole: Probably had the most education out of all of them. Canonically went to grade school, before his mother passed and he attended the Marty Oppenheimer School of Performing Arts before running away. Was old enough for the school to not alert his father at least (or check with him, if Cole lied about needing to drop out), so it was either a high school/college/mixture boarding school at the very least.
Jay: Also went to grade school (his s7 comments about History Museum field trips). Assuming Kai, Cole, and Jay are all in their mid-late teens at the series start, he probably also had some form of high school education, plus mechanic/inventor knowledge from Ed & Edna. May have dropped out/already graduated when Wu found him. The only reason he's lower than Cole is that his presumed education past grade school is uncertain.
Zane: Technically, since Zane is a nindroid, he didn't need school. However, we are shown that Dr. Julien built Zane to progressively learn similar to a human in at least some respects, so I'd say Zane was "homeschooled" (if unconventionally). It is shown that flipping off his memory switch did not take away from his learned skills, so Zane is very much educated and capable prior to his nindroid discovery.
Nya: Went to grade school (also s7 History Museum field trip comments), but probably dropped out/did not finish her high school education, due to being in her early/mid-teens when she and Kai joined Wu, and her seeming to run the customer service and financial aspects of Four Weapons. Nya is also a very skilled inventor, mechanic, and pilot, which are most likely skills she picked up from being thrust into independence at a young age.
Lloyd: Was dropped off at Darkley's Boarding School for Bad Boys at a very young age. He ran away multiple times, and was eventually kicked out in Season 1, for "lacking the amoral ambition to become one of tomorrow's masterminds". It's known that not much teaching happened at Darkley's at the time, in favor of lessons in evildoing, so young Lloyd's primary source of education came from the ninja. It can be safely assumed he was tutored to some extent, due to the behavior of his older self, but Lloyd's education was still minimal, at least.
Kai: Kai comes in at the bottom of the list for one simple reason: it's unknown if he ever attended school at all, let alone how much. He doesn't chime in on the s7 History Museum field trip conversation, and due to having been abandoned at a young age, it's possible he had to sacrifice his own education for Nya's. We know Kai took up blacksmithing, which seemed to be the sibling's primary, if only, source of income. He threw himself into his work, and though it seems a bit shoddy in the pilots, he was good enough to reforge the Golden Weapons in s10, showing he did possess at least some skill, if not being downright amazing. Looking into his behavior, mannerisms, and general knowledge on other occasions, Kai comes across to me as someone who maybe completed elementary school, but probably never went higher in favor of keeping Four Weapons afloat and his sister supported.
As a Gifted Kid™, I think it just goes to show that while education is important, it's not the end of the world if you're a bit slow or didn't get to complete yours. The ninja may be barely functioning at times, but they've also saved the realm(s) at least once a season, with or without trigonometry. It depends on your path in life, and as Cole tells Lou, he's decided that he doesn't want to follow in his father's footsteps, but forge his own path.
Also, Bonus:
Morro: Was literally on the street, taking food from trashcans to survive, before he was found by Wu. It can be assumed Wu tutored him in some way, though Morro ran away young, probably around his early-mid teens, judging by his size. He also died young, around the same age as the present-day ninja, so it can be assumed his education probably never surpassed middle school.
Pixal: Was created to be the personal android assistant of Cyrus Borg, becoming the 16th - and final - attempt, after her 15 predecessors failed to work properly. Being an advanced android, Pixal was created with and had access to all the knowledge she would ever need. However, she still had much to learn; particularly, in her social and emotional aspects, and continues to grow. As Zane once said, "She taught me more about being a nindroid, and I like to think I taught her more about being human".

Meet Stormcloud
(Jumping ahead just a bit for fun lol)
Stormcloud is a young adult slugcat and lives with a colony of scavengers. He has two younger siblings, Ray and Drizzle, and also probably went on the hardest journey for a slugcat to go through.
The leaves are from an injury to his leg that's still healing when he fell, but everything else is what he set off with. Just the pearls as decoration and his personal mask on his hip.
When he was younger, an attack on the colony by Garnet left blazing fires all over. Storm was trapped by one of these fires, and ended up being burned by the flames across his back and his ear. After this incident, Storm swore that someday, he would defeat Garnet in the same way the stories told the defeat of the Water Dragon (Lilypuck).
Fast forward a few years, Storm was out hunting with Ray and some scavengers and thought he saw a flash of the dragon in the air. He warned the others and then ran ahead himself, against all warnings, to chase them down and exact revenge. However, in his pursuit, Storm never stopped to think about what he was chasing, and after Garnet had noticed him chasing all alone, Storm made the hasty decision to jump down a chasm into the unknown.
Storm then had to navigate unfamiliar land all by themselves, having fallen into the region of the defeated Water Dragon (Yes. They fell that far.) Eventually, in their travels, he met the supposedly dead dragon who greeted him with kindness, and underlying fear. Stormcloud debated finishing her off and coming back a hero, but after realizing how everyone already thought she was dead, decided against it. Instead, he asked for (and was given) directions on how to get back home.
When he made it home, he was greeted warmly by those who thought he had died and had a whole new host of scavengers to meet. However, they noticed that their little sister (ray) was missing, and after learning she had tried to chase Garnet with him, he set back out once again to save her, this time intentionally jumping down the chasm that Ray was last seen near.
They not only found their little sister, but with her was a battered and hostile aquatic slugcat with several scars: But interestingly, gills. Storm was forced to barter with the slugcat, who didn't want to let Ray (their only friend) go, and Storm learned of their plight. Coral, their name, had been part of a colony a few regions away, but it was destroyed by the guardian. After hearing how this one had no dragon, she moved here to try and join a new colony, but was left unwanted and befriended the dragon. She steals from colonies to keep herself alive, and sometimes lures scavengers or slugcats for the dragon to eat. (In fact, she later admitted that was her original plan for Ray before they became friends).
Stormcloud offered to take Coral home to their colony, and Coral hesitated. When Storm returned with Ray, they were once again greeted warmly, before everyone turned hostile against Coral, who had just walked up. Storm made a split-second choice to save her, claiming not to touch his mate. Later, Storm explained to Coral how he said it only because 'friend' wouldn't be good enough to save her, but Coral didn't even let him finish talking because she wanted to be with a slugcat that understood her and didn't try and shun her away.
Despite living in the colony, Storm and Coral sometimes take adventures down to visit their Water dragon friend.

notes: My supervisor wants me to join audible now because she's listened to me read this aloud in the staff room to my friend as I edit it. 😂 I hope you guys enjoy it. It's a little bit of a filler chapter before the action picks up again in the next chapter, but it's also necessary to show these relationships building. Especially the sibling bond between Takara and Takemichi. Let me know what you think. Thanks and enjoy!

fic masterlist - prev chapter
Takara loves being on a motorcycle. It’s the thrill of the speed and how close you get to the ground in a sharp turn. She holds Mikey tightly, feeling confident in the way he’s in control of the machine. She presses her forehead against his back and tries to breathe, to remind herself that she made the right choice.
He finally stops and Takara looks up to see where he’s brought her. They’re on the waterfront in an area she doesn’t recognize. He parks the bike and gets off before turning to help her get down. She takes his hand and climbs off, letting go once she does before following him to the wall that blocks off the edge of the ocean.
Takara hops up on the wall and turns to face the water. She feels Mikey leave but he doesn’t say anything so she just waits. If he wanted her company, he’d say something. At least, she figured he would unless he brought her out here to leave her to find her own way home as punishment.
After a few minutes, in which Takara makes a mental note to get to a beach once it's warmer and swim again, he comes back. Mikey climbs up next to her and faces the ocean, not saying a word. He does, however, hand her something. She takes it, noting that it’s warm, and unwraps it enough to realize it’s Taiyaki.
“Thanks,” she says before taking a bite. The red bean paste isn’t really sweet, but it’s good and it’s warm and delicious. They sit in silence for a long moment before he finally speaks.
“Why’d you attack Taiju?”
Takara takes another bite and thinks about her answer. “I was angry.” She chews a little more before she swallows. “I went to a rink earlier that day to skate and clear my head and the Haitainis found me. I didn’t even know I was in their area ‘til they showed up.” She looks over at him. “I wasn’t lying. They didn’t ask me about your gang. They wanted to know about me. Ran flirted but that’s it. He stopped when I asked. They walked me to the subway and fucking Hanma showed up out of nowhere, saying he was there to pick up something that belonged to him.” She scrunches up her face at that. “I left them there and got on the train, heading home where I found Take beat to shit. It was the final straw of my day and I just…snapped, I guess. I grabbed my skates and the bat and just…went looking.” She eats the last bit of the Taiyaki she’s holding.
Mikey hums slightly. “Want me to deal with Hanma?”
“I can deal with him,” she waves the offer off. “Are you…upset I chose not to join Toman?”
He's silent for a moment, chewing on his own treat before he answers. “No. You made your choice but it won't stop your affiliation with us. You'll always be connected because Takemitchy is.”
“Yeah,” she sighs and leans back on her hands, staring out at the water. “I know.”
“You wanted to protect your brother. There's nothing I understand more. Just…be careful, Takara. Other gangs aren't like Toman. And if you need help, ask.” He looks at her this time. “I'll still look out for you. We all will.”
She smiles at him softly. It's easy to understand why so many people want to follow him in moments like these. “Thanks, Mikey.”
🏍️
Takemichi is waiting for her when she gets home. Their parents are actually home but don’t acknowledge her greeting when she walks in the door. Takemichi frowns, looking back at them in confusion.
“Welcome home,” he greets when there’s silence from the other occupants. “Can we talk?”
“Yeah,” Takara nods. “Wanna walk?”
He shoves his hands into his pockets and nods. “Yeah, sure.”
She doesn’t say goodbye to their parents, but Takemichi does and they give them more of a send-off than she’d get if it was just her. It stings every time she notices it but Takemichi usually doesn’t. At least not the stupid teen boy he usually is when his future self isn’t here.
“They…are they always like this?”
Takara shrugs. “I think…they can tell I don’t belong.”
He stops and turns to her, looking angry for the first time she’s ever seen him. “Don’t say that! Of course, you belong! You’re my sister!” he says it with such conviction that Takara can only feel a rush of affection for him. It’s moments like these that she doesn’t regret anything she’s done or planned.
She reaches out and ruffles his hair, laughing as he pulls away with a protest. “You’re such a sap,” she teases.
“You’re ruining my hair!”
“I’m the one who bleached it for you! I can ruin it if I want.” She chases after him slightly, laughing as he runs from her.
“You’re just jealous!”
“Of your fried hair?!”
“Because I have style!”
“Yeah, the style of a fashion reject!”
“Says the girl who only dresses in boy’s clothes!”
“They’re comfy!”
🏍️
Takemichi leads them to a playground and the two of them fall silent as they each pick a swing. She has memories of teaching her brother how to swing high enough to rattle the chains and pretend to reach for the clouds…and they merge with two older brothers teaching her how to do the same. It’s faded, as if the reel has been played so many times it’s starting to fall apart. She wonders what that means for her…and why it doesn’t seem to alarm her more.
“Takara…what’s going on? What was all that earlier?”
She sighs before swinging back and forth slightly. “What part?”
“All of it! What was the choice you made? Why did you have to make it? Who are the Haitanis and what the hell was going on with Hanma? Where did Mikey take you?!”
“Breathe, Take,” she says, trying to keep her voice light. “Calm down.”
“How can I be calm!? You want me to tell you everything but I don’t even know what the fuck’s going on with you? Why was Hanma so upset?”
“Fuck if I know,” she shrugs. “That asshole seems to think he has some kind of claim on me. When I was with Ran and Rindou, the Haitanis, he showed up as they walked me to the station and basically said he was picking something up that belonged to him. Called me his girl.” She pretends to retch at that. “He’s probably pissed I ditched him and wouldn’t go with him in front of Ran and Rindou.”
“...the Haitanis…are gang leaders, right?”
“I don’t know. I think so? They run Roppongi. Told me they didn’t need a gang. They did it all by themselves.”
“How do you know them?”
She swings back and drags her feet on the ground, watching the marks she makes instead of looking at the concerned face of her brother. “You remember the junkyard? The fight that killed Baji?”
“...yeah.”
She nods. “When I showed up there, I saw them sitting. They looked mostly safe, and at least emptier than some of the other spots filled with guys. I asked them if I could sit down and they tried to warn me off. I told them I was there to make sure you didn’t do something stupid and when Baji first got stabbed, I called the cops and told them to run…a thanks for the protection.” Takara shrugs. “Apparently I intrigued them. I swear I was only skating but they heard I was around and came out to see me. They really did just want to talk. Well, Ran flirted.”
Takemichi’s face scrunches up in disgust. “Gross!”
She grins. “Face it, brother. Your sister is super cute and all the guys want her.”
“Yeah, all the criminals!”
“Win some, lose some,” she says, just because she knows it’ll irritate him.
“Takara!”
“What?” she grins. “Relax, Take. I’m not planning on dating any of them.” That’s a lie. “As for the choice…that had to do with me threatening the leader who fucked you up.” She motions to his face. The two of them were peas in a pod with how bruised and battered they both were. “There…there are rules to things like that because he attacked a captain of another gang. Toman was obligated to respond in some way, but because of my actions, I kind of forced their hand. I’m known to be connected to Toman because of you and because of the way everyone saw me try to save Baji. If Toman claimed that I was a part of the gang and retaliated on their behalf, they’d take responsibility for essentially starting a war between the two gangs. I’d have to officially join Toman in some fashion…where I’d be protected from other gangs…but I’d be in a position where I’d have to take orders. Or I could remain unaffiliated, Toman would claim they had nothing to do with it but retaliation would be served and the two gangs could go back to ignoring each other. I would be free from the restraints that joining Toman would put me in…but there’s no protection. I’m essentially labelling myself as free game.”
“What the fuck?!” Takemichi stands and turns to look at her, forcing her to stop swinging. “Why would you choose that? Why wouldn’t you let us protect you?”
“You’re not thinking,” she snaps. “Joining your stupid fucking gang would protect me, but it’d put me in a position where I’d have to take orders! It might be Mikey giving them, or it might be someone else like Kisaki. You think I want to be under his thumb? Or closer to his stupid obvious right-hand man Hanma? It’s bad enough I have that asshole fucking tracking somehow. I need freedom. I need to be able to act how I think is right because if I have to kill someone to protect you, I will.”
He stares at her in shock. “Takara…”
“I mean it,” she says, looking up at him. “You’re the only thing I actually have in this world. You’re giving everything to try to save Hina, to save everyone, why can’t I do the same?”
“Because!”
“Why? Because I’m a girl?” she asks, daring him to answer.
“Because you’re my sister! I don’t want you hurt!”
“..oh.” she looks up at him, finally registering the way he’s crying in fear over her, over what can happen to her. Takemichi drops to his knees in front of her.
“You weren’t here. You don’t know. There was a gang before, Mobius. They were…they were manipulated by Kisaki, but they attacked Pah-chin’s friend and his girlfriend. They raped her, Takara. I saw her in the hospital. She had tubes to fucking breathe! So forgive me for not wanting anything to happen to you!” He leans forward, resting his forehead on her knees as he cries.
She feels like shit. She’s so used to people thinking she can’t do anything because she’s a girl, because her brothers can do it better, that it’s always the automatic assumption. She sighs, running a hand through his hair like she did when they were kids. “I’m sorry. I just…I couldn’t accept it. I have to try, Take. I have to be able to…to react how I want. I know you don’t like it, but I’ll be fine. Honestly, if I can take down that fucking giant with a bat, or my other fucking stalker with a hockey stick, I think I’ll be able to handle whatever comes. I know the rule: run like hell.”
He looks up at her, face running with tears and snot. “Just promise–promise to get help! Come back to us if you need it!”
“I promise,” she says, smiling softly. The lie sits like lead in her stomach.

Chapter twenty one: Chock-a-Block
The next month was uneventful compared to previous ones. June was slow and felt heavy, dragging on and seeming longer than it was. Birdie spent a lot of the month by George’s side The two became increasingly close, sharing all sorts of pleasantries and childhood stories. Birdie loved hearing about his nine siblings and the practical jokes he pulled on them. It reminded her of her own mischievous family who she was missing more than ever.
July came and went by comparison. Birdie received a letter from her brother-in-law, stating his wife, her oldest sister, Helen had safely given birth to the couple's second child. They already had a little boy, Daniel and now were blessed with a girl. They named her Gracie, a variation of Bernadette's middle name and asked her to be the newborns' Godmother. Of course she was ecstatic and accepted gleefully. Sadly, she would miss the babies christening but the sentiment was there.
By the end of August, rumours were spreading that they would soon be on the move. Their next destination was a curious speculation. A bet ran through the regiment: Europe or the Pacific?
September started and the 506th was preparing to move once again, leaving Camp Mackall behind. Easy presented themselves prim and proper in their class A uniforms and packed everything they had in the basic olive green sacks provided for their belongings.
A train awaited them, the soldiers climbed aboard without question. It was packed but no one minded too much, they just bunched up and invaded their neighbours personal space like it was a game.
Bernadette shuffled through the teeny walkway of the moving train, legs and bags stuck out making her journey that much more difficult.
“Birdie! Saved you a seat!” Her attention was captured by the brown haired man calling out to her. She smiled when she saw him, guarding the space next to him like it was his job. Bernadette tried to make her way closer to Luz but the train wobbled and threw her off balance. She toppled over ungracefully and landed atop someone's lap.
She began spitting out apologies and her face turned red, rightfully embarrassed by the situation. When she looked up and saw Liebgott's face smirking at her, she wanted to die; right then and there.
“Good trip?” That shit eating grin made Birdie want to slap him, she settled for rolling her eyes and scoffing instead. Birdie got up and balanced herself, making sure to use his shoulders to aid her ascent. She shoved him hard enough for him to understand she was less than pleased about the whole ordeal, but in a playful manner so that he knew she wasn’t really mad. Joe smiled at her, a genuine smile that reached his eyes and caused her to reciprocate.
“Birdie!” George called out again, sensing she was distracted and needed some prompting. She whipped her head round to him and nodded to show she had heard the impatient man.
“You better go before he screams so loud the whole train hears.” Lieb joked, he didn’t really want to send her away but there was no real reason for her to stay. The southern woman spoke softly, telling him she would see him around before joining her friend at the other end of the train car.
Liebgott had been accepted into her posse with little resistance, he was already friends with most of the guys she hung around anyway. It was mainly Joe Toye and Bill Guarnere who didn’t love the fact that he and Bernadette were on friendlier terms, the two still held grudges against him for his previous treatment of the woman. He didn't really blame them, he had been particularly difficult when it came to Coldwell.
Over the past months, Joe had come to terms with the fact he actually wanted to be Birdie’s friend. Tipper kept trying to get a love confession out of him but he was adamant it wasn't like that. Sure he liked the woman, but in a totally platonic way of course. Besides, they were both soldiers being sent to the front lines, when would they have time to date and fall in love? Not that he wanted that. He didn’t.
Joseph Liebgott was perfectly happy being friends with Bernadette Coldwell and that was that.
The train had taken hundreds, if not thousands of soldiers aboard to a shipyard in Brooklyn, New York. It was Birdie’s first time in the city, though she didn't get to see much of it as they were ushered onto the SS Samaria in an orderly fashion.
The sun began settling, turning the sky a beautiful mix of pink and pastel orange, Birdie's favourite shade of the fiery colour. Luz had snagged a life vest for the woman and shoved it on her so he could pull her out onto the deck and watch as the ship passed the statue of liberty.
It was a surreal moment, one Bernadette would always remember. The green lady loomed over them, as if bidding the soldiers goodbye and good luck. It felt real now, they were finally leaving their beloved home country and joining the war effort.
As the ship left the mainland of America behind, the sombre mood grew. George and Birdie shared a cigarette on the deck before returning to the bunks below. It was crowded, more than the train had been and now, the lack of space was starting to get on everyone's nerves.
Everyone tried to keep themselves busy, playing cards, writing letters home or reading whatever books they could find. Most of the men smoked freely which caused the already state air locked in with them to be tainted with tobacco.
After five full days stuck in the overcrowded, sweaty mass of men, Birdie had had enough. She was ready to get off this ship, unsure if she could take another day. She had seen men get sick from the constant swaying and vomit where they stood and now she was noticing the raise in tempers as cabin fever descended.
It was unbelievably hot and all Birdie wanted was some fresh air and silence but conversation continued on around her, disregarding her wants.
She could hear Muck and Malarkey chatting to each other while they approached the area she was stewing in. The men in question climbed up the sides of the hammock like cots as you would a ladder and settled into the spaces next to and above her.
“Hey guys, I’m glad I'm going to Europe.” Toye spoke up, inserting himself into the conversation. He pulled out his switchblade knife and flicked it open for dramatic effect, “Hilter gets one of these right across the windpipe. Roosevelt changes Thanksgiving to Joe Toye day, and pays me ten grand a year for the rest of my fuckin’ life.”
“What if we don’t get to Europe? What if they send us to North Africa?” A voice from above Birdie called down. The woman tried to shuffle closer to Bill, her bunk mate, to see who it was but his body got in the way and unless Birdie wanted to mount the man, it would remain a mystery. Bill ruffled her hair and plucked the cigarette out of her hand.
“My brothers in North Africa.” Guarnere took a long drag of the stolen smoke, “He says it's hot.”
“Really? It’s hot in Africa?” You could actually see the sarcasm coming off of Malakey and he paused his reading of the comic he held in front of him to make fun of the man's obvious comment.
“Shuddup!” The Philadelphian shot at the redhead before continuing, “The point is, it don’t matter where we go.” Birdie reclaimed her cigarette while Bill was distracted, mid sentence, “Once we get into combat, the only person you can trust is yourself, and the fella next to you.”
Bernadette cleared her throat, raising her eyebrow at her talkative friend as if to tell him to rethink his words. Bill rolled his eyes and added, “Or lady next to ya. Happy?” She nodded, that would suffice.
“Hey, as long as he’s- uh… they’re a paratrooper.” Toye added from his place by their boots, trying to avoid a glare from the Mississippi woman.
“Oh yeah?” Luz exclaimed from the opposite side of the aisle, “And what if that paratrooper turns out to be Sobel?” He was climbing up to his bunk on the top most rack, George hoisted himself up and past Christenson, who added his two cents to the discussion,
“If I'm next to Sobel in combat, I'm moving on down the line. Hook up with some other officer, like Heyliger or Winters.” Pat had a special hatred for the CO after he was made to march twenty-four miles, full pack and in the dark, half of it completely alone; all on Sobel’s orders.
“I like Winters. He’s a good man.” Bill began speaking once more. It was then that Birdie noticed Skip leaning over his hammock above her and poking his head down so she and Malarkey could see him. Malarkey eyed up the cigarette he had in his hand and silently asked Muck for a puff, she shook her head and giggled at the two.
“But when the bullets start flying, I don't know if I want a Quaker doing my fighting for me.” Guarnere thieved Birdie’s nearly finished smoke yet again, she responded with an outraged, “Hey!” but he ignored her, pushing himself up and jumping down to the ground. Bernadette shuffled over into the empty space Guarnere had left.
“How do you know he’s a Quaker?” Skip asked, flipping down into Birdie’s, now vacant, cot and giving her an unlit cigarette to make up for the blatant robbery he had witnessed.
“He ain’t Catholic.” Bill shrugged, snubbing out the butt of his pilfered tobacco stick on the floor with his boot.
“Neither is Sobel.” Don called, passing his comic to Skip who immediately started flicking through the pages with interest.
“That pricks a Son of Abraham.”
“He’s what?” Liebgott, who sat across from where Bill now stood, had perked up at the term he used. He was happy to listen in to the conversation, it kept his mind occupied but when the expression was used like a slur he had to say something.
“He’s a Jew.” Bill clarified, assuming Lieb just hadn't heard the phrase before.
“Oh fuck…” Liebgott muttered under his breath, he laughed but not because anything humorous had been said. He threw the cigarette butt he was fiddling with down before shuffling off his bunk and jumping. He landed with a thud and stepped over to Guarnere so they were face to face. Joe looked down at the man, chest puffed, “I’m a Jew.”
Several men (and Birdie) sat up or shuffled closer to the two hot heads, anticipating a fight to break out.
“Congratulations.” Pronounced bitingly, not actually intended to congratulate, “Get your nose outta my face.” Bill pushed Lieb’s chest, forcing him backwards.
Birdie stared, she knew Lieb was going to swing, she could see him planning it out in his mind. She noticed his curled fist and knew an attack was imminent, before she could do anything, Lieb took a jab. His target blocked him and they grabbed onto each other attempting to… Birdie didn’t know what. Strangle each other? Hug? Who knew?
Multiple men also grabbed into the pair but no one could break them apart. Birdie scoffed and jumped down, she shoved people out of her way and when she got close enough to see her friends through the growing crowd, she yelled. It was the loudest her voice had ever gone; a screech, if you will.
“That’s enough!” Her words froze the horde of angry sweaty men. Bill and Joe still held onto each other, fists grabbed onto handfuls of shirt but now their focus was on the girl. She huffed and pushed surrounding men away from the idiots who began the kerfuffle until she reached them. Everyone else watched on, curious to see angry Birdie in action.
Bernadette yanked them apart, fuming. She turned to Guarnere first, her eyebrows were furrowed and her teeth clenched.
“You!” She pointed to him, glaring, “Keep that prejudice bullshit to yourself! No one wants to hear your stupid ass opinions! What the fuck is your problem?” Bill shrunk back, he had never seen Birdie this angry before and he didn't care to see it again. The woman whipped around to face Joe, he was smiling at her rude comments aimed at the man he wanted to punch. His joy in the situation only pissed her off more, if that were even possible.
“You think this is funny, huh?” She hissed at him, Joe’s smile dropped.
“Not everything is a personal attack so calm the fuck down. Why do you think punching him is the solution to everything?” The question was rhetorical so Joe only looked down to the floor, avoiding eye contact with the scary southerner. She was absolutely at her wits end and just had to get out of there.
“It’s like a fuckin’ pissin’ contest in here, Jesus!” Birdie growled as she turned and stomped off to get some fresh air on the deck of the overcrowded ship.
A/N: ooooo she's mad...

To get some of the more obscure holders, how about headcanons for En? How he met Daigoro Banjo, how he obtained OFA, how he died, etc. Thank you!
YESSSSS! I HAVE SO MANY FOR EN! They're out of order, but I'm too excited to format it correctly. Sorry it got so long.
En was the youngest of 6 siblings. I have more on that here
All throughout high school he was made fun of for being short at 5'3 (160 cm) and would always say "just wait until I hit my growth spurt" and he did. He grew to the height of 5'6 (168 cm). Because of that, he always appreciates it when someone is shorter than him
This is part of the reason he became a babysitter, entertaining kids with his amazing art skills
His quirk first activated when he was in kindergarten. Back then, quirks didn't manifest until about 10, but he was under distress because all the other kids were making fun of him.
Part of the reason he fell in love with his girlfriend (Akane Akagi) is because she was shorter than he was. It's also why he likes their Ninth holder so much.
En just finished high school and had no idea what he wanted to do with his life. He loved technology, so his siblings encouraged him to do something with computers, because that's where all the money's at. He wasn't sure and decided to take a jog in the park to take his mind off things where he ran into a villain. His quirk activated on accident, allowing the new hero Lariat to take him down. After, Lariat invited him to join the new program of underground heroes the government was starting.
However, back then, underground heroes were stereotyped as cowards in the hero business. You see, this was just when quirked people were starting to become a bigger part of the population. Limelight heroes had a very good chance of being mobbed for the reason that they had quirks, and because they weren't allowed to fight back, they had a very good chance of being killed. Meanwhile, nobody even knew underground heroes existed, allowing them to be able to live a normal life. En experienced some workplace bullying because of that.
Banjo was cool though, and taught him a lot. He also became good friends with other heroes, such as Crimson Riot. And remember that girlfriend I mentioned? Yeah, she also became an underground hero. Unfortunately, she died young after being hit by a drunk driver. En's coat is red to honor her.
Red coat, blue coat, purple coat. This all means one thing. En is Bi.
En met Nana after being invited to her wedding along with his brother, Tatsuo (who would become a manga artist). Also, this happens after Banjo's death.
He was invited because Tatsuo was originally going to bring his girlfriend, but they broke up and the bride said he could come, because he was poor and in need of some good wedding food. He fell asleep during the ceremony, but after, on his way to the bathroom, he heard her crying. As it turns out, Nana's mother-in-law was a bitch to her throughout her and her husband's entire relationship. She just didn't say anything because said in-law acted like the perfect angel in front of everyone else and she was worried she wouldn't be believed. En gave her a peptalk and was surprised to see one of the new heroes from the newly created Twilight division emerge from behind the door but shrugged it off.
It was a good wedding. He ate a bunch and went back to work. Only to run into Nana again along with the fast-rising limelighter Gran Torino. They were all assigned a case, where he found himself impressed at Nana's skills. He thought back to how they first met and decided it couldn't be a coincidence. He offered her his quirk and she accepted, even knowing that she would have to fight against AFO.
AFO tried to take his quirk for the second time in their last battle. En found one of his Nomu experiment factories and was told to destroy it along with some other heroes. He didn't mean to get into battle with AFO, but it was becoming clearer that it would be unavoidable so he made sure everyone got out safely before confronting the man. After failing to steal his quirk the second time, All For One killed him out of frustration. At least the factory ended up being destroyed.
En's fighting style consisted of sneaking up on people and knocking them out. His coat has a bunch of pockets where he keeps some of his weapons and support items. His support items consist of two types of smoke bombs that he fills up with his smoke.
One type of bomb is your regular smoke bomb that fills a place up with a ton of smoke, but adds a few compounds made to irritate the lungs, forcing people to cough without being able to suppress it. The other does the same thing, but releases the smoke slowly over time. While his smoke doesn't affect him (and he's built up a decent immunity to other types of smoke) he still has the high collar to help filter out irritants like that, as long-term exposure to those things can be dangerous.
His weapons of choice are daggers, hammer, and those little rope things you throw at people that wrap around their legs and tie them up.
He and Banjo had a special move where Banjo would wrap Blackwhip around him, and then swing him around, knocking him into the enemy. Like that one scene in that Spy Kids movie, I forgot the name of.
En likes your usual house pets, but his favorites are reptiles. He always wanted a pet chameleon, but didn't have the resources for it.
He loves barbecue and his favorite drink is fruit juice. Any type of fruit juice. His favorite alcohol is wine. His favorite dessert is ice cream, it doesn't matter what flavor, he loves ice cream.
En's favorite season is winter because he really likes to wear scarves and thick coats. And yes, he eats ice cream in winter.

I know a lot of people are already sold on the idea of Rinne and Houtaro being secretly siblings... but hear me out. I have an alternate theory to offer, one that doesn't have the two as siblings.
Houtaro's dad was an alchemist on Kudo Fuga's (Rinne's dad) side, helping him smuggle out the Chemmies (which were under the Alchemist Union's control) little by little until they managed to get all 101 of them free. Maybe he brought some of them home with him, which was how Houtaro met Hopper-1 when he was a little kid.
But Papa Ichinose got caught by the Alchemist's Union, maybe because they found out Houtaro knew about Hopper-1. He refused to betray Fuga, so they either banished him somewhere he can't get out from and/or mind-wiped him of his memories of being an alchemist (as we saw with that classmate of Spanner's)... or maybe even killed him outright.
They mind-wiped Houtaro to remove his memories of Hopper-1 (under the guise of the rule where civilians' memories of Chemmies are erased). If they killed/banished Papa Ichinose, they would have made Houtaro and Mama Ichinose think he just went off on some adventure and will come back. They would also have mind-wiped their memories of him being an alchemist if they were aware of it.
It explains why Fuga just gave Houtaro the Driver, no questions asked. Sure, Hopper-1 and Steamliner "chose" him, but maybe he knew all along that he could trust this boy with it... because he knew why Hopper-1 chose him (that being Hopper-1 recognizing him as the little boy who befriended him years ago).
And if he knew Houtaro was his old friend's son, he would be compelled not only to entrust the Driver to him, but also to give his life protecting him- especially if Houtaro's dad did die helping him free the Chemmies.
It may also explain why the union inspector immediately suspected Houtaro being a spy yet was not surprised that he's able to gain the trust of the Chemmies and wielding their powers. If he knew Houtaro's dad was a talented alchemist who did manage to get the Chemmies to come along with him, then he wouldn't be all that surprised that his kid could do it too. Even more so if he knew about Houtaro having befriended Hopper-1 before. But of course he wouldn't trust Houtaro if his dad is considered a traitor to the Union.
(This doesn't explain why he didn't suspect Rinne of being the spy either, but because she is part of the Academy as a student even though her dad's been missing a while, it probably means someone within the Union took her in and vouched for her.
It also doesn't explain why Minato wouldn't have recognized Houtaro if his dad was a known alchemist, but maybe the Union unpersoned him in their ranks and/or Minato wasn't even around yet when it all went down.)
And maybe this also explains Atropos' taunts towards Rinne. She knew it was Rinne's dad protecting the Chemmies, after all, so if he was working with someone else she probably knew about it too.
What if when she said "it's all [Rinne's] fault" she was referring to Houtaro? She was saying that the whole reason Houtaro's the Kamen Rider because her dad got his dad involved, and in the process brought him into the whole affair too.
From a meta standpoint... well, it's not the first time an organization a Rider worked for made the Riders think someone was just away only for them to been killed as a traitor to that organization all along (despite actually being on the right side/trying to do the right thing).
That was basically what happened to Fukamiya Hayato, Kento's dad, in Saber- in his case, Hayato was manipulated into thinking he was doing the right thing when he "betrayed" the guild, and was actually acting on the orders of Master Logos, who had malicious intentions. Kento and the rest of the SoL were under the impression that he just ran off to join the Megid, when in fact he'd already been killed and the Calibur they were fighting wasn't his dad but another person entirely.
Notably, Gotchard is being co-written by Keiichiro Hasegawa, who also worked on Saber. And KR writers are known for their tendency to recycle their plots a lot.
In their case, Papa Ichinose and Fuga did betray the Union, but it remains to be seen why they did. Though, it would not be surprising if they found out the the Union had nefarious plans for the Chemmies and/or was in cahoots with Glion all along.
I mean, pretty much every official organization the Riders were affiliated with in Reiwa turned out to be involved with the bad guys in some way- AIMS being part of ZAIA which was involved in the Ark incident, the aforementioned Master Logos who lead the Swords of Logos being a bored nihilist whackjob, Fenix being founded by the leader of Giff's cult, the DGP being behind everything to begin with... so, if the Alchemist Union turned out to be involved with Glion, nothing new there.
I do think Papa Ichinose was more likely killed than imprisoned if the Union is involved with Glion. We already know they don't actually give a crap about the spy in their ranks when Minato reported it, nor did they care about Sabimaru being captured by the Abyssalis Sisters (or what could happen to him for that matter). I can't see them caring about offing an alchemist or two they believe to have betrayed them.
The banishment/mind-wipe scenario would be a mercy.

I love your inquisitor so much! May I ask what happened to her left ear though?
Great question, I would love to tell you. (Also I’m sorry this took 10 years to answer. I really wanted provide visuals because this was already a topic I had planned to post about, and unfortunately I’ve been in a complete art block since January ish.) There is a TLDR at the end if needed.
To understand what happened to my darling little Nira’s ear a few things about her family need to be explained. Now, Nira is Dalish™️. But her mother was not born so. She grew up in Antiva city, and only joined the clan when she was about 19/20. Eloped with a dashing craftsmen, it was very romantic. She left family behind in the city, and Nira grew up visiting them on a semi-regular basis. My personal clan Lavellan is a really large one that has kind of commercialized itself to survive. They’ve found success setting up outside human residential areas and putting on shows and fairs where they sell “novelty” items as a way to make ends meet. So it wasn’t uncommon for them to be in the vicinity of the city, and it afforded them unusual freedom in trading with it’s inhabitants.
Nira also had a few cousin’s that lived in the city. And despite the exorbitant amount of siblings I have given this character, her dearest friends during her childhood were her cousins, Tara and Islene. Fraternal twins. And being girls from the mother’s side of the family, still descendent from the Ghilan’nain priestess who received the magical bloodline trait. Due to this, Islene was born a mage like most women in her family. (Luckily the city elf side had for the most part been able to keep this under the radar of templars.)
Much of Ama’nira’s story is defined by this trio and their overall narrative.
For all that Nira was allowed to visit her cousins in her childhood, most of the time was spent almost exclusively with the clan because the Keeper and her mother did not want to tempt fate by letting a young child gifted with magic run amok in the city without intense supervision. Also she was notoriously fussy as a child due to sensory needs and having pretty strong preferences about food and things like that. Her mom even early on liked to keep a close watch over her because of this. But after a few years of begging, Nira was finally allowed to spend the night at her aunt and uncle’s house during a visit when she was about seven.
Everything started out okay, normal fun childhood sleepover type stuff. Nira was sent with some hearth cakes to bring for dessert. They played cards as a family. It was a lovely evening.
But as bed time drew near things started to veer off course. The girls were tucked in and put to sleep like normal. But shortly after the parents went to bed, Tara popped her head up and said they should go to the vhenadahl. “Maybe it will work if all three of us try it, and not just two.”
Nira had no idea what they were on about, but she was excited to be included as her sisters often left her out (they were much older than her.) So the little group make their way out of the house and down to the alienage center where the tree of the people is. The girls explain to Nira that according to legend, a spirit of Love lives in the tree and if someone manages to run around the it 3 times while only one moon is covered by a cloud and the other isn’t, the spirit will bless them. They tell her how they’ve tried and tried a thousand times, but no matter what they do they can’t get it to appear.
Naturally, the girls start giving it their all. They run around the tree dozens of times, tripping more than once because they were staring up at the moon while doing so. Giggling and squealing as they ran into eachother. This was not an uncommon thing for children to attempt in the alienage, so at this point most people tended to ignore them. It was basically a childhood rite.
However, most children that tried this weren’t also mages. Now, seeing as how there never was a spirit in the tree to begin with, luckily no demon summoning happened. That didn’t stop Tara from suggesting her two mage friends should try to “touch the fade” so it knew they were there. So for a few laps, Nira and Islene ran with their arms in the air, reaching out with their magic in whatever way they could to see if they could do what Tara was saying. As they had no idea what “touching” the fade even meant. Of course, this was a very ill advised thing to do, but they’re babies. And babies do dumb things.
No spirits were there to listen, but Templars on city watch were and arrived at the scene shortly after. The magical night that the girls were having crashed down around them as they turned to see the knights. Tara, being the scrappier one of the bunch, shouted at them to run. And they did. But Nira tripped on one of the cobblestones, and was nearly over taken. Islene seeing this turned back for her cousin and pulled her off the ground, pushing her forward. In the process, she was grabbed instead. Nira ran with everything she had.
The templars upon realizing that a frenzied, terrified, and untrained mage was fleeing into the city, and they were about to lose her made the call to attempt to “neutralize” her as a last ditch effort to ensure she could not become an abomination before they found her again. So arrows were loosed as she ran, and one pierced right through her ear. Nira, in a state of complete panic and terror, grabbed it and ripped it off- causing the missing chunk that she bears to this day.
Tara was able to make it home without being caught and in a state of shock explained to her parents what had happened. Her father left immediately to try and get Islene back from the Templars, but was beaten terribly and returned home empty handed. They ran to the clan and told them of what happened as soon as possible, and search parties were sent out for Ama’nira whilst also packing for an emergency move because they did not want the Templars to turn on the clan in their hunt for the young girl. They were forced to leave before finding her.
Nira meanwhile ran blindly through the city, stopping only when there was nowhere left to run. Which happened to be the docks. She found a barrel underneath a pier and hid in it for two days in a state of complete shock, not even noticing how much time went by. When her senses eventually came back to her, she managed to sneak her way around the city before hitchhiking in the back of a wagon and sneaking out the gates. She was too terrified to go back to the alienage as that was where it all happened. Unfortunately, the poor thing had no idea how to actually get to where the clan had camped, and to begin with they weren’t there anymore. So when she eventually saw some woods, she jumped out of the wagon and started wandering. In a complete stroke of luck, one of her brothers who had not given up the search had been heading back to the city and was able to find her and bring her home.
To wrap this up, the event left Nira deeply traumatized and she would continue to struggle with using magic for many years afterwards. She only truly is able to break through her barriers with it once befriending Dorian. It left Islene in the circle, and she is made tranquil only a few years after. And it would lead Tara to grow up in what would quickly become a broken home, her mother leaving to prevent the templars from discovering her magic and her father descending into alcoholism to cope with what had become of his family. Few people foster as much hatred towards Templars as Tara, she blames them for everything bad that’s ever happened to her and her loved ones.
Nira and Tara actually start Inquisition as a pair, with Tara becoming her pseudo enforcer during the course of the game. When Ama’nira was chosen by her keeper to attend the Conclave, a decision aimed at allowing Nira to find closure and give her the opportunity to grow outside of her mother’s influence, Tara decided to go with her as a guide/protection. The pair hoped to find Islene at the Temple and discover what had happened to her.
TLDR: Her ear was injured during an altercation with templars in her childhood where cousin was taken to the Antivan Circle. It is the foundational event that ties Nira’s story with her cousins which is very important to the overall arc of my canon Inquisition plot.

Hamefura first Bonus Short Story LN11 ( with Ronnie's POV )
Unfortunately, it was only in the chinese version so I had a hard time, because I'm just a beginner in chinese. So please tell me if you find any mistakes. Please enjoy it ! ^^
Side Story I
The endless violence from my father stopped suddenly. I, Ronnie Percy, looked up with a puzzled expression, and found a very beautiful woman looking at me with a worried expression.
My father was lying on the side of the house for some reason.
The woman told me that it was my father who staggered and bumped into it. It seemed that my father was as drunk as usual. I thought I was saved and breathed a sigh of relief Blood dripped from the corner of my mouth. It should be that when I was beaten by my father just now, the skin in my mouth was broken. The woman who saw this scene said :
"Are you okay ? Wipe this off."
She handed me a beautiful handkerchief. Maybe it was out of kindness, but how dare a person like me use such a beautiful thing, so I refused. Then I wiped the blood with the sleeve of my shirt. Before I know it, it was time to go to work.
"For a decent person like you, don't come to this kind of place again. Also, please tell to Dewey for me, and tell him by the way, to don't use money to subsidize the family in the future."
I told the woman, who might have known Dewey, warn my siblings to be careful about my father and then headed out to work. Even if I worry in my heart that my body has been be covered in bruises after being beaten and kicked, I don't know if I can still work today. My feet were so painful that I could only move forward slowly, after walking for a while.
"Mr. Ronnie."
Someone called me from behind. It's from the woman just now.
"You, how could you…"
"Because I want to talk to you again." She told me, I was so surprised.
"Hey, why did you come here ? It should be said that I have to go to work now, so I don't have time to chat with you." I clearly rejected her.
"However, I have asked your sister that your work is quite heavy physical work. I think your body may not be able to bear it. "
But the woman answered me like this.
"Tsk, she is so talkative… You are right, but I still have to go and ask if there is any work that can be done. Our family is very short of money. If I don't make money, even my younger siblings We can’t even afford food.”
"It means that you are just trying your luck. Then don't force yourself and rest well. Otherwise, the injury will not heal. If If you have to ask your boss to leave, let me go instead of you ?"
The woman who said so would not give in at all. And she also asked about Dewey, so I finally couldn't help but say "I hope Dewey doesn't mess with our family and live freely." Such sincere words.
This woman is really strange. I have never met such an inexplicable woman before. I thought to myself that the women in the Ministry of Magic are very strange. Then the strange woman went further :
"Leaving aside Mr. Ronnie's father, but you are definitely not useless. Literacy and good at arithmetic are indeed advantages. This will make it easier for you to survive in society. But this alone is not the value of a person. I think it is for the sake of younger brothers and sisters. Mr. Ronnie, who worked hard, is a very good person.”
First time someone said that to me. Because my father kept scolding me: "You are completely useless ." When I was confused and didn't know how to answer, a suspicious figure in black robe suddenly appeared and attacked the woman. In order to protect the woman, I ran around desperately for help… But I didn't catch up, and she came back directly after solving the problem on her own.
I obviously did nothing, but she thanked me very much. She complimented me again on how great I was, which made me feel good.
Later, thanks to her, I learned that Dewey respected me very much. And intends to "join hands with brothers to get rid of the current life of poverty". So I decided to go with him. I was trying to deal with my parents' problems, but when I got home, I found that everything had already been resolved, which made me feel discouraged.
Just today, my life has completely changed, and improved dramatically. I still can't accept the reality. When I was about to move, It seemed that my sister likes that strange woman very much. She said "I hope she can marry into our family." I heard my heart beat faster, but Dewey strongly denied it.
"Is that woman so powerful ?"
So I asked in private.
"She is the princess of the duke's family, the prince's fiancée." Dewey then told me the astonishing fact. The eldest daughter of the duke's family, the prince's fiancée, is an unattainable object. "How could such a noble person be here ?!" I yelled in surprise.
"How should I put it, she is like this. And she is a very nice person."
Dewey told me with a wry smile. An indescribable sense of trust can be seen from his expression. For her, who is out of reach, the vaguely sprouting emotion in my heart gradually fades. If only I had found out sooner. But if we moved near to the residence of the Ministry of Magic, I might have a chance to see her again from afar. Thinking so, I feel a little happy.

Maya fanfic part 13.
This is quite a heavy part which includes you being kicked out by your family, smoking but also mature scenes. So if you are affected by any of these things feel free to skip, I don’t mean to do any harm.
You went out to a nice restaurant with your family which isn’t usually the case but it was probably because you were 21.
Not long in the meal did your family notice the necklace and ring you were wearing as they are expensive.
“Where did you get the money to buy that from?”. Your mum asked.
“Oh…my girlfriend got it me”. You said anxiously, messing with the ring.
“You have a girlfriend?”.
“Yep”.
“Why didn’t you tell us?”.
“I’ve not really had chance”.
“What is she like?”. Your dad asked.
“Well she plays centre back”.
“Millie turner?”.
“No”. You laughed. “Maya le tissier”.
“Oh…her”.
There was an awkward silence.
“What’s wrong with that?”.
“She’s only just joined hasn’t she?”. Your dad asked.
“She’s been here for almost four months”.
You then noticed a notification flash up on your phone. It was Maya, Thank God.
‘How’s it going?’ - Maya.
‘Alright thanks, just told them about us.’ -You.
‘That’s good, how did they take it?’.
‘They were mostly surprised I think, but anyway what are you up to?’
‘Just thinking about you’.
‘Hopefully i’ll be back sooner than later’.
‘i can’t wait to see you again, in that dress’.
‘It may look nice but it’s starting to get a bit uncomfortable’.
‘I guess i’ll have to take it off you then’.
You heart started slightly racing at how flirty Maya was being, considering you were at a restaurant with your family their attention wasn’t on you, your parents were just talking about work and your younger siblings were just bickering at each other.
‘I guess you’ll have to wait and see’.
A smirk was displayed on your face however you were suddenly cut off by the waiter who was waiting for you to order. Your face started to flush embarrassed by your lack of concentration on where you were, as your mind took you places of what you wanted Maya to do to you.
Quickly hiding your phone, you said your order and was glad to watch the waiter walk away.
“Pass me your phone, I can’t believe how incredibly rude you are being, it’s your birthday and you are ignoring your family, we barely see you as it is”. Your mum said.
“Wait, i’m sorry I was just messaging a friend who wished me happy birthday”.
“Hmm okay, but you better be telling the truth”.
“Of course”.
You placed your phone down next to you sighing with relief.
“Do you have games on your phone?”. Your younger sibling asked, suddenly picking up your phone that was right next to them.
“No not anymore”.
A notification then chimed and you felt you were going to have a heart attack that very second.
“I wish I could feel you now”. Your sibling read aloud, confused.
You froze in place not daring to make eye contact with anyone. Taking your phone back you replied “Where did you get that from?”.
“Someone called Maya sent it you”.
“For fuck sake”. You whispered under your breath.
There was then a silence until your dad spoke up. “Y/n leave, I can’t stand you being here, you’ve ruined the meal for everyone”.
“No please i’m-“.
“I said leave”.
“I-i’m sorry”.
“You are not apart of this family any longer”.
“What?”. You said with tears burning in your eyes.
“You chose this way of life, you did this to yourself”.
“Mum please”. You cried. She hung her head low not saying a word, she couldn’t even look at you.
You found it hard to breathe, not believing what was happening right in front of you. Wiping your eyes you hoped you were dreaming. But you weren’t.
Drinks were then brought to your table, the worst timing in the world. You picked up your dad’s beer and practically ran out the restaurant to your car, choking on tears along the way.
As soon as you got in you downed the pint hoping it would take all the pain you were feeling, but that was impossible you needed something stronger. You looked around and noticed a worker having a smoke break. Cautiously you went up to him hoping he would give you a cigarette.
“Do you have any you could spare?”. You asked.
“Shit, you look like you need them more than me”. He replied.
“Rough night”.
He handed you a cigarette and lit it for you.
“Do you wanna talk about it?”.
“No”. You replied, taking a puff. The last time you smoked was when you were 17 at a party and ended up becoming addicted for a few months before you had to give it up to focus on football properly. Shortly you felt your nerves slightly calm down.
“Actually i need to go back for my shift, you can keep my lighter and the rest, I have spares”.
“Okay thanks”. You replied, taking them off him.
“Hope your night gets better”.
“Cheers”. You said. He then walked back inside.
Finished with the first cigarette you put it out and tossed it in the bin. You made your way to your car lighting another then placed the rest in your glove box.
On your way back to Maya’s house still tears pouring down you face, now on the 3rd cigarette you questioned whether to actually go back. She couldn’t see you like this, but you had nowhere else to go.
You threw your last cigarette out your window before pulling up onto Maya’s drive. Sickness crept into your stomach at the thought of her even looking at the state of you, but it was too cold in the car to stay.
Knocking on the door you tried to wipe your eyes as much as possible but nothing could hide your puffy eyes.
“Y/n what happened?”. Maya asked in complete shock, you’ve never seen her this worried in your life.
You burst out crying again, unable to form any words. Hiding your face you walked past her to the lounge and slumped onto the couch. She walked in and sat down next to you placing a hand anxiously on your thigh.
“I-I’m dead to them”.
“To who?”.
“My family”.
“What…why?”. She replied in complete panic, tears also forming in her eyes.
“They told me to leave”. You said. Maya’s mouth hung open, finding it hard to process such information. “…and it’s my fault”.
“No, this is never your fault”. You shook your head in response. “What happened for them to do such a thing?”.
“They saw the…”.
“They saw what?”.
“I told them about how my apartment got robbed and they blamed it on my lifestyle choices, as in being with you”. You half lied.
“That makes no sense”.
“I know”. You sniffled, hiding your face.
She moved closer towards you attempting to comfort you. However you started coughing heavily due to the cigarettes.
“Have you been smoking?”. She asked, smelling the tobacco on your breath. You sheepishly nodded your head. “It’s okay, i just didn’t know you smoked”.
“I don’t”.
“Well, your final present was going to be finding out that we got the apartment, but that doesn’t even matter right now”.
“We did”. You replied, looking at her with excitement.
“Yes”. She smiled. You brought her into a hug now feeling slightly optimistic for the future.
“Please don’t leave me”. You sighed, rubbing her back.
“I won’t, you’re my family now”.
Pulling away you looked into her eyes. “I liked your text”. Her face then went slightly red. “I thought it would give you something to think about in case you had a bad night, but it’s not ideal now”.
“Why not?”. You said leaning towards her.
“Are you sure it’s what you want right now?”.
“I thought you wanted to feel me”. You whispered, repeating Maya’s message.
“I’m never going to hear the end of this am I?”. She chuckled.
“No”. You smirked.
“Do you want me to?”.
“Yes”.
She picked you up holding onto your thighs and made way to her bedroom. She then leant over you.
“Is this o-“. You cut her off strongly bringing your lips onto hers, instantly slipping your tongue in her throat, you put all your built up anger, sadness into that kiss.
She quickly unzipped your dress first knowing it gave you discomfort and it’s safe to say you were never going to wear it ever again. You wanted to forget about everything that had happened so she instantly went to where you wanted her the most, not wasting any time…
-
Now breathless you lay to the side of her, the pleasure just added to the chaos of emotions you couldn’t help but feel, which brought you to tears again.
“Did I do something wrong?”. Maya worriedly asked, turning to you.
“No”. You replied, still faced away from her. Her hand then brushed in between your hair, hoping it would give some comfort.
“I just can’t stop thinking about it”. Her hand then wrapped around you. “I’m sure they don’t mean i-“.
“They do”. You shouted. “My dad was clear”.
“Oh okay, sorry”. She replied. You turned towards her. “I don’t want to talk about it anymore”.
“We don’t have to talk at all”. She smirked.

AHHHH thank u for ur advice and encouragement 🥹🫶🏻 I immediately followed her so I can devour her entire blog and study up (wiki can only do so much lmao) I will do that crew justice 😤
Ok, my next OC is Celeste Greyscale(she/her)!! The only other OC on my list who was initially inspired by a fic (tho she has diverged far more at this point compared to Zella)
Warning for heavy topics for this one, but here is the link if anyone is interesting!~ https://archiveofourown.org/works/50155342/chapters/134294377?view_adult=true ~
Celeste is a 20-22 year old leopard seal selkie with long dark brown hair and spotting to matching her seal species on her human skin, and currently a proud crew member of the Straw Hat Pirates. She’s also my shortest, standing at 5’4”, but don’t let her height and soft, curvy appearance fool u, she’s got hella muscles under her blubber and can lay the best of them out flat! She tends to favor wearing swimsuits or wet suits under her pelt as she likes to regularly jump off ship and swim in her seal form for fish and fun/exploration!
Now, my bullet points
• thankfully had a fairly normal childhood in a small shipwrights village in the North Blue, living with her parents and 2 siblings. During one particular repair visit, she was inspired to paint and travel by a famous pirate artist who stopped on their island with her crew, amazed by her works and stories and wanting her own adventure, to tell it through her paintings and inspire others.
• All was well until it went up in smokes when she was 13. A group of poachers disguised as merchant sailors found them and raided her village, capturing most of the younger selkies to be sold where they saw fit. Celeste was sold off with a few of the older, stronger kids to be ring fighters on island on the Grand Line, surrounded by a mix of human, mink, fishmen, and other selkie slaves. She only escaped once when her parents (who had miraculously survived the initial attack) had found her, but even that was short lived and she was returned to her prison parentless. She spent several more years there, believing there was no hope or future for her anymore, only a life of cruelty (in so many ways) as the Ring Leader’s shining favorite.
• Her true freedom came in the form of our favorite rubber lad led crew, when one of the doctors working for the ring fell ill and they needed a replacement, snatching up Chopper after overhearing a conversation. He met Celeste post fight, who slowly managed to get her talking, saying how his captain was going to help! That everything would be ok! While he managed to wiggle his way into her heart, she and the others still doubted him and his hope. Boy were they shocked when he was right! The crew swinging in looking for their lost crewmate, invoking and aiding a riot, returning the pelts to the selkies and freeing them, with Celeste at the lead of the other fighters. At the end after they ran down and dispatched their enslavers, a daunted Celeste was approached by a bounding Luffy and bright little Chopper, with an invite to join their crew. After a week of recovery and consideration, and a heartfelt convo, she said yes and hasn’t looked back since
• She fights with a javelin and is well experienced in hand-to-hand, packing more punch (and claws!) when in her halfway form where she stands at 6’6” (a full 11’ in her seal form!) She is also gifted by the Sea Mother with the ability to manipulate water and its various forms, even being able to heal minor-mid injuries with it (though it is more exhausting than transforming*, healing especially so)
• *her Leviathan form is the only exception, as she transforms into a spiked, long clawed 60’+ monster of a seal. But it puts so much strain on her body that she’s susceptible to fainting and heart attacks afterwards
• She’s got a more quiet personality, vibes really well with Robin in that way, but more gentle and easily flustered. Her trust in others is kinda funny, going from 0%, to 50%, to 110%. Has even fallen for a few of Ussop’s lies from time to time, which Nami is quick to fix
• Has her own painting desk that she uses for mainly storing extra supplies (and rainy days), instead using a travel easel and sketchbooks to work on her projects, often joined by Ussop when on the ship, and finding her own spot when they visit a more quiet island
• She has go-to nicknames for her crew; Bug for Luffy and Ussop, Minnow for Chopper, Honey for Sanji, Zoro, and Nami, and Dear for Robin, Franky, Brook, and later Jinbei. Used usually when having silly/fun convos or when she’s trying to smooth them when they get huffy
• Kisses to the forehead are part of her selkie culture, to bestow them good fortune and well wishes when departing. After witnessing Celest me interact with other selkies and an inquiry, Luffy and Zoro were the first to lower their heads to her when she drew the short straw to be on ship duty. From then it became a more regular thing for her give and receive for the whole crew.
• She is, not a happy camper when she gets sick, becoming more weepy and refusing to eat or take any medicine in pill form. After a particularly hard flu she caught, Chopper made sure to underline his notes to only give her liquid medicine whenever possible. Is this a trauma response? Maybe hehe
• Speaking of she has, so much, for so many reasons. Between loss of home and freedom, she had gained and lost a mate during her enslavement, even later losing her child after only getting to hold her for two weeks before they ripped her from Celeste (did she die? Sent away? Who knows [me 👁️])
I’m gonna stop there for now, I have so much for Celeste she is my beauty, my blorbo, lives rent free in my head in pretty dresses and happiness (and maybe some sadness but shhhh) (id also like to say if this ever gets too much or anything, im happy to tone it down im just, really excited to share but so nervous haha. Thanks for letting me basically spill my guts about them)
Sincerely,
The 🌷
\o/ Thank you for sharing again =D
Sorry it took me a bit to get to this - I am not, unfortunately feeling much better today compared to yesterday, and I had to read it a few times to really grasp what I was reading 😵💫 The brain just wasn't keeping up.
But I got there, and I love her! From the name to the culture, to the story to the names 😍🥰❤️
I love the different sizes of her, and the abilities too! xD Luffy and Zoro tilting their foreheads down like "okay now us" is just such a cute visual and I really love that too.
Man, going through hell and having a very assured, very bright and cheerful Chopper be there to help. T-T my heart. I love Chopper, he's just so sweet and genuine. Lil' guy. gibe him all the head pats.
