I had another idea about soldier boy…🙃💞
Imagine his partner dragged him to a 90s night at a club…LIKE DRAGGED HIM. He didn’t want to go, he didn’t wanna see anybody, he didn’t want the entire get-up and actually having to pretend to enjoy himself. Then after he steals his girlfriends Gin and downs it, he just lets loose and doesn’t give an F.
Hello, friend! I love this idea!! 🥰
This one intrigued me. I dug deep into my '90s music playlist for inspo! And if you want to know something about my writing process, I often write with music in the background. It sometimes drives the tone and feel of what I'm writing.
But anyway, getting into this imagine!
Pairing: Soldier Boy x Female Reader Word Count: 1,000 Warnings: 18+ only - just to be safe.
Imagine: Taking a reluctant Ben to a ‘90s night at the club.
Tumblr media
You love spending time with Ben, living together, sharing your lives and your space. You've been helping him catch up on TV shows and movies he missed, helping him adapt to the ways things have changed.
He really hates all the self-checkout screens and shit at the grocery stores now. (Like for fuck's sake, he's just trying to buy his beer and coffee creamer in peace. Everything's a touch screen nowadays.)
Even the damn McDonald's has an order screen. His hand once broke straight through one out of sheer frustration.
But anyway, when Annie invites you to check out this awesome club with her and Hughie and Frenchie and Kimiko, you're sold the moment she says "'90s theme night." However, you also know that convincing Ben is going to be a nearly insurmountable task.
"That sounds dumb as fuck," he tells you.
You frown at him, hands on your hips. "Come on, Ben. It'll be fun!"
Ben likes to have a good time. Lord knows. But you also want to look the part — dressing up for a decade he had no part in.
The '90s weren't exactly a fucking party for him. In fact, he tries harder than you know to block out that entire decade, as that's when the Russians started to get truly creative on that compound...
Sensing you're losing him to his memories, you grab his hand and stroke his cheek. "I promise, if after an hour you're still not having a good time, we'll leave."
You give him those eyes. You ply him with sweet and tantalizing kisses. And you show him what outfits you're considering. (One dark green dress in particular already has his dick twitching to attention in his pants).
So that's how Ben ends up caving. For you, and no one else. (As usual.)
For a while he just sits at the bar with you while you catch up with your friends. You're so damn excited, he can tell. The inside of the club is interesting, he supposes, with dim lighting and a DJ on the stage with a very sophisticated looking setup that Ben finds wholly unfamiliar.
The music, however, is ass so far. What the fuck is this, Hip Hop? Rap? R&B? He can't tell, and he doesn't know any of the songs. It sounds like a bunch of fucking whining. And don't get him started on whatever you call grunge.
The bottom line is, this entire thing is not his scene. It makes him feel out of place...it makes him feel old. In a way that he doesn't truly feel all that often, even when he's with you. So he really wants to fucking leave. But he doesn't.
He just downs his entire whiskey and then another. He sees you're still nursing a gin & tonic beside him while you watch your friends head out onto the dance floor. Hughie, that moron, actually seems to have some moves as he shakes his ass around his blonde girlfriend. Ben rolls his eyes and shakes his head.
"Poison" by Bell Biv DeVoe comes on, and you light the hell up. You're smiling and bopping to the music.
And you look beautiful tonight. The short, dark green dress is eye-catching even under the dim lights. Your hair is wrapped in a tight but messy bun. You've got some tall black boots on and a black velvet choker around your neck. You're adorable and sexy all at once.
Ben can tell you want to join your friends on the dance floor, but you're nothing if not loyal. You did promise to stay with him. And you give him a flirtatious, teasing smile, bumping your shoulder with his.
"How're you doin', babe?" you ask.
"Fine," Ben replies, with his usual stoic front. Your mouth quirks. But when "No Diggity" by Blackstreet comes on, not only are you excited, but you also get an idea.
You slowly slide out of your seat and move in time with the beat, just vibing, dancing near your boyfriend.
You give him a little show, twirling under his hand, brushing against his side and letting your fingertips slide against his neck, down his thigh. Your touch makes small zings of sensation run through Ben's body, teasing, arousing. You know exactly what you're doing.
"Shorty get down, good Lord. Baby got 'em open all over town. Strictly biz, she don't play around. Cover much grounds, got game by the pound…"
Ben watches you with rapt attention. The smooth, sensuous way your hips move to the beat. You remove the pin from your hair and shake it out in front of him, then beckon him with a hand.
"Come on. Come dance with me."
You continue to roll your hips nice and slow. Teasing him with the curve of your ass, as well as your smile.
"She's got class and style. Street knowledge by the pound. Baby never act wild, very low key on the profile..."
Ben finally realizes that you don't see him as "the old man in the club." You invited him because you want him with you.
And what, is he afraid or something? Like he cares about what the rest of these fucking pussies think of him.
Fuck it. He takes your gin & tonic from the bar counter and downs it all, a nice burn down his throat. Then he reaches out for your hand and firmly takes it.
You lead him onto the dance floor, where you guide his hands onto your hips and he draws in behind you. You reach back, your hand gliding up the back of his neck and into his hair.
"You're blowing my mind, maybe in time. Baby, I can get you in my ride..."
Ben knows how to dance, but this is different from what he's used to. So he follows your lead at first.
"I like the way you work it. No diggity, I got to bag it up (bag it up, babe)…"
But then, he lets the smooth beat infiltrate his body and he just lets go. His feet and his hips and his hands on your body — he turns you around and pulls you in close, flush against him so he can feel every part of you where you fit just right.
Your chin tips up and your lips brush against his. "Having fun yet?"
Ben smirks. When he gets you home, he's fucking you in nothing but the boots and that little velvet choker. But for now, he's having a good time.

AN: Thanks so much for this ask! I truly had so much fun with it. 😊
Next time:
I've got an imagine from a friend of mine. She requested some clothes shopping, some jealousy, and a whole lotta Soldier Boy being himself. (I added in some dressing room shenanigans for good measure. 😏)

A/N: *Commence adorable flashback sequence*
Warnings: delinquency, nothing major
--
The sun had dipped below the horizon, leaving behind a canvas of warm hues that gradually melted into the deep indigo of the night sky. A gentle breeze rustled through the leaves, carrying with it the scent of blooming flowers and distant laughter. It was a hot summer night, and the city was alive with the magic that only such nights could bring.
In the heart of downtown Toronto, the streets were lined with charming cafes and quaint boutiques. Strings of twinkling lights hung above the sidewalks, casting a soft, golden glow on the bustling pedestrians. The night had drawn people out of their homes, and the energy in the air was palpable.
The night was alive with sensory delights. An ice cream truck parked at the corner beckoned to families with children, the promise of sweet relief from the lingering heat. The scent of freshly baked goods wafted from a nearby bakery, tempting even those who had just finished dinner.
As the night deepened, the stars above became more pronounced, scattered across the velvety sky like scattered diamonds. The distant sound of a train's horn added a touch of nostalgia, a reminder of the city's history and connection to the railway.
As the clock ticked on, the temperature began to dip, offering relief from the day's sweltering heat. Yet, the warmth of the night continued to envelop the city, inviting people to linger a little longer, to savor the fleeting moments of the summer.
All of this provided cover for eighteen-year-old Jade; mousy, slender and unassuming, one wouldn't notice her in the dark. She surveyed the chain link fence and the expanse of the park, security wasn't out tonight.
Behind her, nineteen, just about twenty-year-old Austin bit nervously at his lip, rubber necking around, his nerves getting the better of him as he foolishly followed his friend. He was excited, but apprehensive.
"I can't believe you talked me into this shit," he whispered, his voice barely audible.
Jade turned back to him, her usually long hair tied in a messy bun atop her head. Her eyes twinkled with excitement, "C'mon, I do this all the time. It'll be fun,"
She gave him a little wink as she produced a pair of wire cutters from her backpack. The metal strands of the fence yielded under the pressure, creating a small gap just wide enough for them to slip through. She crawled through first, slithering like a snake without hesitation. She dusted off her knees, motioning for Austin to follow.
Heart racing, Austin squeezed through the opening, his pulse pounding in his ears. Jade bent down to help pull him up. Once inside, the world around them transformed. The pool area was shrouded in shadows, the water reflecting the pale glow of the moon, like liquid silver.
They exchanged a triumphant grin before kicking off their shoes and peeling off their clothes to reveal their bathing suits. The cool, dew-kissed grass felt refreshing against their feet as they approached the edge of the pool.
"Last one in's a goober," Jade teased, her voice a hushed but excited whisper.
"What are you -- eight?" he asked, amused nevertheless.
"Come on!"
Austin rolled his eyes, a laugh bubbling from his lips. Without another word, they took a running leap and plunged into the water. The shock of the coolness enveloped them, stealing their breath momentarily. But as they resurfaced, the thrill of their spontaneous adventure surged through their veins.
They swam side by side, their movements fluid and effortless. The water felt like a secret they had unlocked—a hidden world they now shared. The pool's stillness magnified the sound of their laughter, echoing off the tiles and fading into the night.
As they floated on their backs, gazing up at the stars, Jade whispered, "And you doubted me"
"Okay, okay I admit, this is awesome," he corrected, a playful grin tugging at his lips as he turned to her, "You're pretty awesome,"
Jade's heart fluttered, thankful for the darkness lest the moon reveal the deep blush in her cheeks. She was keeping herself together for the most part, half naked with her friend in a public pool, so close to him. It was rebellious, scandalous; if her mother knew what she was doing she'd certainly keel over. All she told her was that she was hanging out with Austin, and she was lucky that her mom liked him.
"I know," with that, she turned over and dove back under the surface.
Austin didn't do stuff like this. He was usually the quieter type, didn't make waves, kept his head down and worked his butt off. If his agent found out what they were doing, he would surely be eaten alive. But right now he didn't care: filming was long and tedious, the heat was unbearable sometimes. So when Jade had suggested they break into the city public pool, he was skeptical. But he ought to have known better than to doubt her, she brought him so far out of his shell.
Hours slipped by, and the two friends lost track of time in the embrace of the water. Eventually, shivers began to run through their bodies, a sign that the late-night swim was coming to an end.
Reluctantly, they pulled themselves out of the pool, water droplets shimmering on their skin like liquid diamonds. They wrapped themselves in towels they had brought along and settled on the edge of the pool, catching their breath.
"You wanna do this again?" Jade asked, a coy smile on her face.
Austin nodded in agreement, a contented expression on his face. "Yeah, but maybe next time during the day and without the whole breaking-in thing,"
Jade rolled her eyes, nudging his shoulder, "You're such a baby,"
"No, I just don't want to get arrested," he pointed out.
"Fair," she nodded, "You're too pretty to go to jail, anyway. You might end up becoming somebody's girlfriend,"
They shared a laugh, their bond stronger than ever as they sat there, savoring the serenity of the night and the memory of their daring midnight dip.
Jade had often thought back to that night; it was a memory she cherished most. Her youth was a cluster of impulsive, stupid decisions, wishful thinking, and stars in her eyes when she thought about her future. She had so much hope for herself back then, so many plans and things she had wanted to do.
She had been nursing a crush on Austin for a while, whether or not she had wanted to admit it to herself was a whole other can of worms. When Jade had embraced her knack for song writing, only then did her feelings truly reveal themselves. The music she was writing was wistfully romantic, imagining incredibly luscious, fantastic adventures that she could only dream of.
Her first major hit, 'Roman Holiday', captured all of that. However, Jade soon realized the damage she had done to herself when she was writing that song. It was clear when she read over it that she was writing about Austin, and by that time he was already getting settled in his new relationship. She didn't release it for a while, fearing people would figure her out, call her out for her crush. Though the moment she did, it was clear that nobody really gave a shit about who it was about more than what it was about.
That song, and much of her first album helped spearhead the iconic 2013-14 Tumblr era. The subculture of being funky and weird and a passionate poet was in and it definitely helped boost Jade's music career.
Of course, Jade was older now; she was a little wiser. And her song writing looked quite different, or so her producer, Zakk, mentioned. They were listening to the very raw recordings of Jade's progress. She had a few solid tracks she was confident in, 'Evergreen' being one. Being back in Toronto, with her family and in familiar surroundings pushed her to sit on her reflections, some more uncomfortable others.
"I think I felt God strike me from the top Humbled my ass real quick I thought I had it all, but it went wrong Felt like an acid trip Bite my tongue, right my wrongs But I don't wanna deal with it"
Her voice floated beautifully along with the soft chords of her guitar, and Zakk nodded his head approvingly to the music.
"'Cause no one gives a damn shit less you're dead Or you're seventeen, an overnight prodigy, Everyone could care less 'til you're dead Or you're sеventeen, I wanna be evеrgreen"
Zakk had worked on a couple of Jade's previous albums, attuned to her unique and alternative sound, as well as her writing style. He watched her grow as an artist and a visionary, and he couldn't have been more proud to see her progress now.
"Damn," he finally responded when the demo ended. They had spent the last ten minutes reviewing her recordings, and Jade had her heart in her throat as she awaited his critiques. 'American Whore' was definitely in the running to be on her album.
"What do you think?" she asked tentatively.
He was silent at first, mulling over her sounds, her stories, "I think you've never been more honest in your writing, and I fucking love it," he told her, grinning like a proud father despite the fact that they were the same age.
She let out a collective sigh, relieved, but still apprehensive, "What would you say if I told you the label wants an album by the end of the year?"
Zakk's smile fell; he rolled his eyes, closed the laptop and pinched the bridge of his nose. He was often dismayed by corporate deadlines, no matter whether it was his bosses, hers, or society. He lived by the golden rule that you simply couldn't rush art.
"Do you think you'll be ready by then?" he asked her.
She shook her head, "Not at all,"
"Thank I say 'get fucked'. We're gonna' take our time," he decided, "And if they have a problem, they can come kiss my ass,"
"Classy," Jade nodded back.
Zakk rolled away from the desk and towards his switch board, "How many are fully written? Let's get some acapella done today and it'll set the course for your sound," he turned to her, "Is there a particular sound you're going for?"
She shrugged back, "Nothing super cohesive, yet. I got two slow ballads, two alt tracks and a classic rock song," that last one, 'Butterflies', was another particular favourite of hers. It was bombastic, fast paced, serving as an antonym for its title and expressed the anger she had kept bottled up within her.
Zakk paused, running through her demos in his head as he turned to her, puzzled, "You have two ballads?" he could recall 'American Whore', he couldn't recall the other one.
Jade realized she'd let it slip; she was still undecided on 'Little Death'. -- at least, that was the working title -- and she hadn't played it for Zakk. Mainly because -- and much to her chagrin -- it was about Austin; and she wasn't sure she should be incorporating him so much into her album.
"... Yeah," she admitted, "It's a love song,"
Zakk chuckled under his breath, "Didn't you tell me a few months ago you were swearing off love songs?"
She averted her gaze to her boots, "Yeah... well... you could say I got inspired,"
"Do you want to play it?" he asked her, trying to gauge her mood, "You know I don't care who it's about -- even if it's about anybody,"
"I know. But this isn't gonna' be a love album, anyway," she pointed out.
He scoffed back, "Call me cynical, but all the best love songs -- truly great love ballads -- tend to come from the albums not trying for love. They just feel it. You have the demo?"
She shook her head. He rolled back over to the desk, "What about the actual song? You have that on you?"
She nodded then, "... You want me to play it?"
"Is the pope catholic?"
Jade sighed heavily, her limbs suddenly felt very heavy. Nevertheless she grabbed the guitar he had hanging off his wall, got comfy with it on her lap and took some tentative strokes of the strings. If there was one thing she had to credit Zakk for, it was his persistence. He sometimes had to wrangle music out of her, more often than not the stuff she was afraid to play, that showed her vulnerabilities, was the stuff that garnered the most success. She took a deep breath as she began to sing the first few lines,
"I would drown in your holy water Got a taste, now I'm going under And let the world just fade away Treat me bad like no one's daughter Body bag, baby I'm a goner And let it all just fade away,"
She couldn't help her voice shaking as she sang, the guitar chords memorized in her fingers as she hit every note, every melody with perfection.
"Just put your hands around my throat Ain't been to heaven but I'm close Your love is a murder Your love is a murder I'll let you touch me sweet and slow Just take my body and my soul Your love is a murder Your love is a murder"
Zakk sat back in awe, taking in her everything. He noted how she kept her eyes closed, letting herself become lost in the story she was weaving, reliving every word that passed her lips.
"In your bed just the way that God made me Cover me up, baby, just lay me In the dirt 'til I'm pushing up daisies, You got a dark side and it don't phase me Cover me up, baby, just lay me In the dirt 'til I'm pushing up daisies,"
The last twang of the guitar faded out peacefully, and Zakk's silence weighed heavily on Jade. She was apprehensive about this song, not only for Austin, not to stay "on theme", but because it felt a little too personal. She hadn't felt this way since writing 'Roman Holiday'.
Zakk began to smile, "That's clearly for somebody," he noted.
She scoffed back, "You just said you didn't care," she pointed out.
"I don't. But every time you lose yourself in a song -- like you just did -- you're reliving something special. It's beautiful, Jade," he replied.
She sloughed back in her seat, letting the guitar rest agains the desk. She was mad because Zakk was right, her mind raced to the same place over and over whenever she played that song. His house, his bed sheets, his warm chest, dark eyes, the smell and the vibe. Austin was everything in this song; whether she liked it or not, he was penetrating every part of her, killing her slowly. So 'Little Death' seemed like an appropriate working title; straight up 'Murder' was another. It would certainly push her love for paradoxes.
"I'm glad you like it," was all she'd said.
Tumblr media
Austin had never been happier to receive a phone call than when he had Callum's. He'd flown into town for a new project, but he was more than happy to make time for his friend. Of course, the one place he knew he had to take him was Santa Monica Pier.
The scent of cotton candy and freshly baked treats wafted from the snack stalls, tempting passersby with sweet indulgence. The colorful blur of a Ferris wheel spun against the backdrop of the ocean, its brightly lit capsules carrying passengers high above the water, providing sweeping views of the coastline.
At the end of the pier, the iconic Santa Monica Pier sign stood tall, a symbol of a timeless connection between land and sea. As the sun dipped below the horizon, the sky painted a masterpiece of warm oranges and deep purples, casting a tranquil aura over the bustling scene.
"Boys in the Boat?"
"Yeah. Never quite taken to boating, but if George Clooney's directing, I'll learn how to tame a lion if he asks," It was clear Callum wasn't used to the West coast heat, even in February as he fanned himself off with the neck of his shirt. Austin meanwhile was unbothered, the only show of the heat was the thin film of sweat dotting at his forehead.
Austin simpered, "I don't see him working on the Greatest Showman sequel, I think you're safe," he replied.
"Reckon so," he said, "Did Tarantino ever ask you to do anything crazy?"
"Riding a horse," he replied, "My first day, I didn't even have one leg up before he threw me off,"
"Fucking hell," Callum laughed, "Tell me you landed arse-first?"
"... Sure,"
"Ah well," he shrugged, "You looked cool anyway. What else is new with you?
"Nothing, really," he wiped the sweat from his brow as he spoke.
Callum cocked a brow, "Nothing? You bought yourself a house, didn't ya? Settle back into life? Reconnect with friends?"
"Oh sure, I did all of that," he replied.
"No girlfriends?"
He shook his head, blinded momentarily by the glare of the busker's trumpet in the sunlight, "Afraid not,"
"Well, that's a shame," he marvelled, "What about Florence's friend?"
"Jade?" he said her name a little too quickly, licked the salt off of his lips, "She's just my friend,"
Callum gave him a wanton look, incredulous, "Not what those pictures said," he pointed out.
"You believe everything you read?" Austin scoffed back.
"I believed the little pep in your step you had when you came back to the table," he replied.
"We've been friends since we were teenagers,"
"Mate, you went home with her. Raff was bloody steaming!"
Austin shook his head, relenting finally, "Alright, so I kissed her,"
"Just once?" Callum smirked.
"... In public, anyway,"
His English counterpart laughed, "Aye, nice mate!"
Austin chuckled under his breath, "Keep that to yourself," he pleaded.
"Of course!"
They stopped along the railing, gazing out at the vast expanse of the Pacific Ocean, where the horizon seemed to stretch endlessly. Seagulls soared overhead, their cries merging with the distant music and the waves below.
Callum turned to him, perching his sunglasses down the bridge of his nose, "Mathilda's coming out in a couple weeks, maybe we ought to double date? She always wanted to see Disney Land," he suggested.
As lovely as that sounded, Austin shook his head, "We're not together in that sense," he said.
"In what sense is it, then?" Callum asked.
"No strings attached," Austin replied bluntly.
"That was her idea?"
"How do you know it wasn't mine?"
Callum glowered, "Because you've been looking miffed since we've been talking about her. What's eating you?"
Austin shook his head, keeping his eye on the rippling sea below, "I think I wanna' attach some strings,"
"And she doesn't?"
Austin didn't know how else to explain, other than to start from the beginning. He swore Callum to secrecy, of course. He talked about their situation, Jade's reservations about relationships, the music she was writing, revealed how equally jealous and disappointed he was when he found out about Jade's date. Callum was at a loss for words at first, he could picture this very scene playing out in some corny romance movie. Though it was clear on Austin's face that this wasn't a joke or a post-method phase he was going through. He had fallen for Jade, he seemed to deflate as soon as he'd finished talking.
Callum gave a low whistle, "Shit. That's a lot,"
"Yep,"
"Dating's complicated enough when you're a normal person. Tack on fame, fortune, and the eternal curse of everybody nabbing a piece off'a you, it's near impossible," he mulled.
"No kidding,"
"Does Jade know how you feel?"
"Doubtful," he huffed, "I don't want to put that kind of pressure on her, she's got a lot going on,"
"Sure, but so do you. And if you have time to have an existential crisis over this, then I'm sure she does, too," Callum pointed out.
Austin scoffed, "I'm not having a crisis,"
"If we had pints between us, I'd bet yours would be bone dry by now," he replied, "Look, there's no harm in trying, neither in being honest. If you want her, you should tell her. You should tell her all you’ve been feeling and then ask her how she’s been feeling too. How she feels about what you told her. She can't read your mind, you know?"
Austin nodded, "I know. Even I don’t know what’s going on with me half the time. And if I lose her, then she's gone forever. I don't wanna' jeopardize what we got, already,"
Callum tutted, "You're thirty, Austin,"
"And?"
“And you need to be a man. You want her, right? You want this to work?”
“Yes, if she wants it, too,” the younger man confirmed.
“That’s already something, isn’t it?” Callum encouraged him.
Again, Austin nodded.
"I suggest that you reflect on it a little. Think about how you feel when you were with her, when you took a pause, when you were without her. Now, I'm not saying it would be easy, but there are things you guys are gonna' have to compromise on. Be realistic. Make them small things, just two or three. Show her that you care, reach out. That’s all it takes to make a conversation work. I’m sure she'll appreciate the effort,” he moved his hand to Austin's shoulder, “And remember to ask her what she doesn’t like. Be empathetic. Suggest improvements for the both of you. That’s what women appreciate: empathy,”
Austin blinked back, ideas spinning as Callum's words echoed in his ears. He started to smile, and Callum became excited.
"You got an idea?" he asked.
"I got a couple," he nodded.
"Good,"
Soon enough the sun began to set, bathing the pier in a warm red glow. People equally funnelled in and out of the board walk, the noise heightening, the heat began to die down.
Austin shoved his hands into his pockets, his thumb brushing anxiously against his phone screen, "You still wanna' do the hike tomorrow?"
"Nah, I can't," Callum shook his head, "Forgot, I have a thing,"
Austin glanced at him curiously, "Just like that?"
"Just like that," he nodded, "... I can think of someone else who might wanna' go," Austin laughed to himself, "What's funny?"
"Jade never really liked hiking,"
Callum simpered, "Something tells me she might tough it out for you,"
Tumblr media
It had been a couple of days since Jade and Austin had spoken. He had told her Callum was in town and she wanted to give him his space with his friend. More than anything, she figured it would be best for her to start distancing herself from Austin, their last in-person conversation continuing to float in the recesses of her brain.
So, she was quite surprised when he had phoned her that afternoon. She was clicking through designers that Cam had sent her, needing her to pick out a dress for the Batman premiere. She would have to jet out to New York in a couple of weeks, but truth be told she wasn't as excited as she should've been. Nevertheless, she picked up Austin's call.
"Hey,"
"Hey," even through the speaker, his voice was like liquid gold, "Whatcha' doing?"
"I'm tablet shopping for gowns," she replied, trying not to sound too disinterested.
"Oh? For the Batman premiere, or just for fun?" he asked.
"A little of both," she admitted, "What're you doing?"
"I just got home, I was at the pier today," he replied.
"Santa Monica?"
"Mhm,"
"Beautiful," her eye suddenly caught on a long, slinky black gown, the skirt near completely see through. She was intrigued, "How's Callum?"
"He's good, he says hi," he replied, "We were supposed to hang out tomorrow, but he's got a thing,"
"That's too bad," Jade tapped on the Michael Costello dress, only half listening at the moment, "You gonna' take the day off?"
"Yeah. But I was wondering if you were free tomorrow?" he asked suddenly.
She paused at that, "Um... yeah! Yeah, I got nothing going on," she replied, "What did you wanna' do?"
He inhaled sharply before he spoke, the idea taking Jack aback a little, "You like hiking?"

You self ship with the grinch? :O that’s so awesome and cool I’m happy for you guys!! Can’t wait to learn more about your ship with him! —CCFM
Thank you so much for this sweet and supportive ask! Sorry it took me a while to get to!
But, yessss! I do selfship with the Grinch!
This is a selfship I kept quiet about for a while, partly because of the strong hold Zach’s had/has on me, partly because of my ex’s reaction to finding out I liked Grinch a while back (it was not pleasant), and because I was trying to pursue an in real life relationship (haha, that endeavor is failing miserably)….But I’m now embracing my handsome green guy! So thank you, thank you, thank you soooo much for your support!
As of now I’m still in the beginning stages of figuring out the details of my ship with him. Originally, I wasn’t even going to create an official self insert, but after talking and brainstorming with my wonderful mutual and friend @creativegenius22 we’ve figured out a baseline for this self insert! Thank you so much for your help with this process and for being such an awesome friend!
So introducing….
Aurora Borealis Who
Tumblr media
Image made with this picrew!
The tag for this s/i is her full name, #aurora borealis who, the tag for any grinch f/o stuff I post is #mr. grinch 💚, and the tag for the AU is #ribbons and bows au. I haven’t figured out a ship name for them yet, this is still in the works! If any of you have suggestions, please let me know!
Fun Facts about Aurora and how she met her wonderful Grinch are below the cut! This became wayyy too long, so consider it as something of a character ref sheet too I guess? lol, enjoy!
Age: 20s, probably early to mid 20s.
Apperance: Short, petite stature (she’s built like Donna, but is only as tall as Grinch’s chest). Long, Blonde hair styled with heart shape buns, parted bangs, and a little heart wisp; aquarium colored eyes, a cute little Who snout, earrings, pink clothing, and a white ribbon given to her by Grinch that she fashioned into a necklace.
Aurora is a fun, lovable, kind, compassionate, hyper Who that adores Christmas (like her Who counterparts).
Her parents named her after the natural phenomenon Aurora Borealis, since she was born in winter, specifically on December 22, the date of the Winter solstice.
Her father passed when she was a child resulting in her being raised by only her mother. Her other family members include, 🥁….Donna, Cindy Lou, and Buster and Bean Who! Donna is Aurora’s aunt and Cindy Lou and the twins are her cousins! They are related through Aurora’s father/Donna’s brother who passed.
She grew up taking initiative and learning to care for herself in order to help her mother out, resulting in her becoming a delivery Who for various companies throughout Whoville. Her real dream is to help take care of/teach children (hmm wonder how that might come into play later…).
This leads her into the arms, I mean clutches, I mean…into the lair…lol, of the Grinch! She is the only delivery Who that Grinch has not scared away. She persists and lets any insults thrown her way roll right past her.
Grinch and her first meet a couple years before the events of the movie when he needs parts delivered to his cave to repair some damage that resulted from one of his hating Christmas fits. After this they develop something of a friendship and he begrudgingly allows her into his cave every now and then as they grow to know each other/become friends.
When Grinch plots to share Christmas she notices an increase in deliveries to his cave, she questioned him about this, and he reveals his plans to steal Christmas because he feels he can trust her. It is at this point they start to have romantic feelings for one another.
Instead of getting angry with him she accepts it, she places her hand against his cheek and says, “if this is what you have to do to heal…I can’t judge you, and I won’t stop you.”
She hugs him kisses his cheek before she leaves, vanquishing any form of friendship they had and making them something more 🥰.
And…I think I’ll save the rest for future posts!
Their love song, by the way, is the inspiration for the AU name! It is Ribbons and Bows by Kacey Musgraves!

Instead of Just Invisible - Excerpt
So I decided to give you guys an excerpt of the next chapter of All's Fair, called Instead of Just Invisible 😊
----------
And as they crossed rooftops with skateboards in tow, Donnie noticed something. Andi's apartment was only a few hundred feet, and her light was on. And if he looked closely...yes! She was still awake, reading a book in her bed.
He knew what he had to do.
"Hey, I'm gonna make a quick detour!" Donnie called to his brothers, then took off towards her apartment - completely ignoring Leo's protest of staying with the group and Raph and Mikey making fun of him for going to see his "girlfriend." Whatever, he didn't just want to see her. He had questions - and ideas to run by her.
Though, to be fair, seeing her was always welcomed as well.
He started running to her apartment with an odd sense of adrenaline, wanting to catch her before she went to bed. It wasn't a necessity, so to speak, but he had started to see Andi as his right-hand woman when it came to new creations in the lab. And because of that, the new idea that he had in his head couldn't really wait until the morning.
Well, he supposed it could. But he didn't want it to.
He breathed a sigh of relief when he made it to her window, still seeing Andi snuggled up in bed and reading War and Peace. She was still awake, good. He lightly tapped the window with his knuckle, smiling bashfully when she jumped and looked around, a slightly startled look in her eye. When she saw him, though, she playfully glared at him for scaring her, but put her book down and got out of bed.
Now that he was seeing her in full, he had to admit that she looked adorable. She was wearing a loose pink top with a scribbled black heart design on the front, white sweatpants, and her hair was up in a loose bun - a stark contrast to how put-together she always looked with her sweater dresses and hair bows.
It was sweet to see how she looked when she wasn't working.
She pushed up the window and smirked lightly at him. "Is there a reason you're blessing me with your presence?" She asked, lazily leaning against the side of the windowsill. "At-" She then turned around to glance at the digital clock next to her bed. "-11:24 pm?"
Donnie chuckled nervously as he rubbed the back of his neck. "Yeah, sorry for the unexpected visit. The others and I snuck out." He admitted, laughing to himself when Andi gave him an impressed nod, but let him continue. "And I figured, since you were still awake, I, um...wanted to ask you something."
"What's up?" She asked as she started to fiddle with some stray hairs that had fallen out of her bun.
He smiled at the endearing mannerism, but cleared his throat to avoid the risk of getting distracted. "So, there's this idea that I have. What if we create an alternative for fighting traditionally, you know, close combat?"
The look that she gave him said that the gears were turning in her head - and he loved that. "How would we do that?"
"What about we create an awesome robot that can fight battles for us? Kind of like a battle mech, except more compact and it can be controlled with a remote? Doesn't that sound cool?" He was getting more excited with each detail that he threw in, and the smile growing on Andi's face told him she was interested.
"I like it." She agreed. "I would suggest AI, but that hasn't really...developed yet. Tons of kinks that still need to be worked out. But if we used an antenna, not only do we ensure a stronger and more efficient signal, but we still have control over it." She was now smiling brighter than before as she nodded. "Yeah, I'm in."
"Great."
Just as he was about to take his leave, though, she called out for him. "Wait, I need to ask you something too!" She then snatched her unfinished laser gun off her lab desk and held it in front of her. "Um, I'm having some issues getting this stupid thing working. Got any tips?" She then followed up by explaining what she had already tried; thermal detection and now a plasma container. And still, nothing.
Donnie hummed as he started inspecting the unfinished gun. "What about lithium-ion technology? You can install lithium batteries in the storage, then convert the energy into a strong charge beam." He suggested with a smile, which only grew when Andi took the gun back and started to think it over - while also mumbling to herself.
"And lithium batteries are not hard to acquire...I'd just need to connect a fiber optic wire from the stock to the muzzle..." She told herself, then started smiling. "I can do that." She told him with a newfound excitement. She might finally have this thing finished before she turned 30! "I can absolutely, 100%, completely do it."
Donnie laughed at her intentional redundancy. "Well, how about I either let you work on that or finally get to bed?" He suggested, then pointed back to the rooftops. "Knowing my brothers, they probably already ditched me when I left to see you."
Andi snickered to herself. "If that's what it's like to have siblings, I'm almost glad I'm an only child." She admitted, but nodded in understanding and gave him a fond look. "So, I'll see you tomorrow?"
"Of course. You have to help me with this robot, after all."
"Promise." She affirmed, then thought of one more thing to add as he was beginning to ascend the side of a nearby apartment building. "Thanks, Don! You're the best!" She called out with a bright smile as she closed the window, then went back to her bed to finish the chapter she was on.
Donnie was so relieved she did that, because he knew that if she saw him in that moment, she would notice the hearts rising out of his head, as well as the lovestruck sigh that escaped his lips.
When he finally made it back to his brothers, all three were giving him a knowing smirk.
It was Raph who ended up breaking the silence; he put his hands into fists and put them to his temple, and in a high-pitched voice, said, "Oh, Andi, I love you so much! What's that? You want to get married right now? Okay!" He then started making kissing noises with his lips to finish, making Leo, Mikey and himself laugh and Donnie roll his eyes, his smile being replaced by a scowl.
"Are you done mocking me?" He asked, and once the three of them finally stopped laughing, Leo gestured forward. "Yeah, let's go. We're probably gonna end up burning the candle at both ends, and besides-" He then started snickering to himself as he started running again. "-we've got more than enough time later to talk about Donnie's girlfriend."
Raph and Mikey snickered again as they started to run after him (or rather, Raph did while Mikey jumped on his skateboard), while Donnie ran after them, yelling about how Andi was not his girlfriend (admittedly, despite the fact that he really wanted that to be the case,) and that the fact that he went to see her did not constitute the idea that they were together.

This is mostly just me being a bit weird and deciding to change up a few things, despite the fact that two of the characters are already established in the first book, lol.
But basically, it's always annoyed me that I had named Professor Calamity's wife Heidi, considering that I always planned on her being black, and Heidi is a decidedly very white name, in my opinion. With her, it doesn't really matter, seeing as she's not described in the first book, so I decided to go ahead and change her.
The plan had a bit of a ripple effect at first, where I attempted to make Astra black so I could make Mrs. Callahan and Isabella white, but then I decided to nix that, and made Astra white again. I mean, she's supposed to be the opposite of Nova, so she needs to be pale. But then I realized that I didn't have many redheads - really just Pyra - and it's different from Nova's blond, so...she's a redhead now, lol. And when I had made her black, I had given her a braid, and I liked it, so I kept that aspect of her.
But @callistochan87 had made mention on the original post of Astra's design that she had thought she was wearing eighties athletic wear, which inspired me to give her, you know, the eighties leggings and bodysuit look. Because, again, I only have the one character wearing the traditional superhero bodysuit (Pyra again), and I figured Astra would be the sort to wear that. But I like it! Sure, I should have moved her belt up, but meh, I didn't feel like it, and is still works.
This all started, of course, when I was attempting to make Heidi Callahan white, before deciding to nix that idea and keep her black, but making her the mixed race one instead. And it works so well. Like, I can absolutely see her being an love struck undergrad assistant to Professor Callahan who stuck around because he saw use in her powers until, eventually, he just decided to marry her and start a family, lol. I also tweeked her costume a little, and she is adorable. Which, I know, is pointless considering she's dead, but meh.
So then, just randomly, I decided to completely rehaul Frostbite, which, admittedly, is what got me really thinking about changing her mother. Like, I'm not sure how common it is that mixed race kids have black hair, but I sort of didn't like that I gave Isabella black hair. And plus...I had this idea to redo her costume anyway (totally not borrowed from the villain of the Paw Patrol Mighty Pups move, nope), and had the idea of give her messy pigtails rather than space buns. And things...just escalated from there, I guess.
She's a fourth black now, although still sort of dark because I wanted her to be. But I love how she looks sort of like a rock star now? It's hard to explain, but I really love this look on her! Edgy and sort of dangerous. I wasn't going to get her that much white because figuring she'd wear a lot of white to match her ice powers. Just the blue makes her look like a water elemental, after all.
She looks really awesome, and her civilian form now looks really cute. I really like this, even if I'm once again giving a cool outfit to a villain, lol.

Why do you like Twilight Sparkle? What are your favourite things about her?
OKAY OKAY OKAY. So. Twilight Sparkle. I'm honestly just gonna give you a whole sorta backstory to this whole thing because I feel like it.
I don't exactly have a specific TIME that I started really enjoying her? It was a gradual sort of buildup overtime to where she became my favorite pony, but she wasn't my favorite when I was little. I was a Rainbow Dash kid <3 I loved Rainbow Dash forever and ever and ever... Also Ditzy Doo. Ditzy was also one of my favorites!! I HAD THAT OLD MUFFINS FIGURINE OF HER?? if anypony knows which one im talking about its the one with the black packaging and just a muffin as her name. I HAD THAT ONE!! FUCKING HAD IT!!!!! And i had the rainbow dash one too.
Anyways this is a Twilight Post I swear I just wanted you guys to know . that i had that. i like mentioning it.
I suppose as I grew older and became more aware of a ton of my struggles in life she became more relatable? I mean, she was always funny, I always liked Twilight even before then, but it was when I really started relating with her that I started loving her character, y'know? GODDD I just see so much of myself in her, not just her anxieties with her studies but her interest in books and research and stuff!! And how she wasn't really that social with other ponies- AND the need to overprepare and know everything about a subject? Also her sarcasm or bluntness in the earlier seasons? And her kind of parental or sibling-like relationship with Spike? Also the amount of responsibility she has??? And her fear of failure??? A lot of it just reminds me of myself and I feel her stress and her worries and her joys y'know. Her willingness to wanna help and stuff too... Like. Uhm. Excuse me why are we the same person. Okay maybe im just saying she was a 'gifted kid' and so am I and I could've summarized it with that but I REFUSE to. this is MY twilight sparkle appreciation post and I make the descision on how fucking absurdly long it is.
her being super gifted isnt her whole entire personality though i also feel like a lot of her decisions would be ones i would make in those situations? like from an outside watching perspective it seems like id do it differently but no. girl. its just cuz i know whats gonna happen is why id do it differently if you get what im saying. shes like me if i had a little more confidence in my abilities for stuff. i love her so much. Also I guess I feel like it's a little more obvious that she's not a perfect pony? But still a good person. Which makes me happy. I mean the same could be said for the rest of the main six but I think because it feels like her smarts and everything feel like a really big part of her character it feels more obvious to me? Or maybe I just sound a little silly rn who knows. Don't look at me . maybe I'm looking too deep into it </333 Im gonna feel like I'm 5 when I say this but I also just think Twilight is really fucking cool and badass and I love her for that... SHES SO POWERFUL?? AND AWESOME???? oh my god she kicks ass man you NEED to believe me you NEED to look me in the eyes and accept this. i do not care about starlight i dont care about sunset . Twilight is the MAN yknow...
also design wise i really like her ? ? ? Im usually not much of a purple fan but somethin about her makes my eyes happy. I LOVEE the purple and the pink and how her cutiemark looks and honestly i ADORE her being an alicorn. Unicorn twilight is iconic but alicorn twilight is fucking awesome as well. Literally dont even speak to me right now its so fucking cool. UGHHHH . Also all the stuff people do with drawing her when redesigning her in those little challenges? Its not even canon or anything but I love how people interpret her! I love how people add yellows to her design or make her pelt darker.. its just a design you can do so much with and make her look so majestic or cool and GOSH . people who put her hair up in a bun i owe my life to you. she is so me like that.
HAVE I MENTIONED HOW HER EPISODES ARE MY FAVORITE?????? so many of the episodes that have her as the main focus or one of the main characters are the ones i remember and love the most. The Celestia and Twilight theater one??? The blimp cruise with her family one???? LESSON ZERO??? THE PONY TRIVIA ONE WITH PINKIE??? TICKET MASTER??? its not twilight centric but i also love the scenes she has in the mirror pool pinkie episode. fucking great. PHENOMENAL. UGH. oh my god where do i begin. where do i begin where am I supposed to START??? theyre all so enjoyable. not that i dont love other character focused episodes, i just love seeing the ones that feature Twilight the most. Also her part in Trade Ya! is silly I think it's fun. I always love when they mention the fact Twilight is literally an Alicorn just right out in public. Just a full on princess out in ponyville dude. i also just have a liking towards main character characters I think. I have a terrible problem with it i have a horrible disease that makes me REALLY fucking like main characters of media a lot. what is my problem. I LVOE ALICORN TWILIGHT HAVE I SAID THAT . I HAVENT . I HAVE. I DONT CARE I LOVE ALICORN TWILGITH SPARKLE. they did her final design a little dirty but otherwise... queen... i love her sm... OH MY GOD IN THAT ONE . STARLIGHT EPISODE WHERE STARLIGHT WAS INTRODUCED . HER LITTLE WING FLAP?? very cute i love it. who made the descision to add that. i love you we're married now. OH MY GOD ALSOS LAOS LAOS . have i mentioned her little 'learning to fly and be an alicorn' era? shes so silly then she's so fucking silly i love you Twilight Sparkle you're an ICON.
99% of what i have left to talk about is small scenes or small little tidbits i love about her as a character . I love how her name was Twilight Twinkle its so cute. I love that she VOICE ACTS HER STORIES?? WHEN SHE READS THEM OUTLOUD??? girl i do that too..... we are literally one in the same. I LOVE HER VOICE TOO!!!!! its very memorable!! I think her picking up and dragging ponies around with her magic is funny too I love when that happens. I have so much more to say but i cant im literally writing an essay man... WAIT I FORGOT TO MENTION HER IN THE DISCORD EPISODE??? here comes tom man. ... SHES SO FUNNY THEN TOO SHE IS SO COMPLETELY DONE WITH THIS BULLSHIT . </3 OH M GOD AND TWILGIHT SPARKLE IN THE MOVIE TOO. i love how they wrote her in the movie? She feels like she got more of her original sarcasm back and it was really fun. HER AND TEMPEST TOO?? im not a shipping kind of person, i dont care, but i think they should kiss. or her and rainbow dash. or her and rarity. or her and pinkie pie. or her and applejack. or her and fluttershy. or her an okay now im done. probably. who knows. Twilight Sparkle forever. everyone who doesnt like her i hope your pillow is the opposite temperature you want it to be.

Velvet FMK Jaune cardin and coco
Velvet: FMK
Velvet: Kill, Cardin!
Jaune: That was a given.
Coco: Why was he even here?
Jaune: Because we needed a third person to do this, so you beat, Cardin to a bloodly pulp, tied him up, and threw him in that sack.
Jaune points to a brown bag with a suspicious human shaped lump in it.
Coco: Oh yeah… But still, did we really need him here to do this?
Jaune: No, but you did want to beat him up as payback from him tormenting your precious little Bun-Bun.
Coco: Ahhh… Good times…
Jaune: That was half an hour ago.
Coco: Good times…
Coco proceeds to pick up the sack, and toss it through an open window from the third floor as if she was getting rid of the trash, which in their opinion was just exactly what she was doing. Jaune said nothing, but stand there, and watch before turning to address his favourite bunny.
Jaune: So, Vel, who’s it gonna be? Who are you going to marry~?
Coco: And, who are you going to fuck~?
Jaune: I love the way you said that, so tantalizing~!
Coco: Thank you, I aim to please. So, Bun-Bun, in all seriousness who is it going to be?
Velvet: Marry, Coco! And, fuck, Jaune! No wait… I can’t have adorable blonde bunny children if I marry, Coco… I guess I have to marry, Jaune, and fuck, Coco! But, I really need, Coco in my life, and I don’t want this to be a one time fling with her, or him… W-What do I do…?
Jaune: …
Coco: …
Jaune: This is going to take her a while isn’t it?
Coco: Most likely.
Jaune: Well then, can I get your opinion on an outfit idea I have for, Velvet?
Coco: An outfit idea? I’m game, what do you have for me handsome~?
Jaune: Okay, picture if you will, Velvet in a bunny suit.
Coco: Ohh~! I’m liking this already.
Jaune: Black stiletto heels, and stockings.
Coco: A dark brown to show off her succulent legs?
Jaune: A white body suit that looks more like a dress shirt.
Coco: We talking full body shirt, or the typical bunny suit?
Jaune: I was thinking full body suit, up to the neck, no sleeves, with a bright, but not bold yellow vest. And, a black bow around the neck.
Coco: Would the vest be one that covers up her chest, or one that pushes her chest up?
Jaune: Mmm… Covers.
Coco: So we can show off her curves more, I like it~!
Jaune: Then I was thinking a tuxedo, twin tail, but only the upper half of one.
Coco: Making sure you can still see her slim waist, and ‘bunny tail?’
Jaune: Bingo.
Coco: And, what about a top hat? This outfit needs a top hat to it.
Jaune: Yeah that’s where I need help, do I give her a top hat where she can hide her ears in, or one with the ears just sticking out of it.
Coco: One that she can hide her ears in; that way she can take it off, and go, ‘Surprise~! There was bunny in the hat!’ Just like the age old magic trick.
Jaune: Oh that would be good!
Coco: Well yeah it is, I’ll get to work on getting the outfit together.
Jaune: Awesome! Alright then, is our little ttle bunny rabbit done?
Velvet: But how can, Jaune be the best man at a lesbian wedding? Sure, Coco can be my bridesmaid, but, Jaune can’t…
Coco: I bet you could pull it off, I’ve sen those legs of yours in a dress. Mmm~! Mama likey~!
Jaune: How about me as the brides maid, and you as the best man, me in a dress, you looking all sexy in a suit. How does that sound?
Coco: Oh, I like the sound of that!
Jaune: I knew you would, you sexy minx~!
Coco: Oh stop it~!
Velvet: But… adorable golden haired little bunny children~! Mom would adore them~! But, she also adores, Coco! So she would be upset if she wasn’t in our lives anymore…
Jaune: …
Coco: …
Jaune: Marry, fuck: I marry, Velvet, and we move to, Menagerie. You come with us as our mistress. Problem solved!
Coco: But, why do you get to marry her, and I’m stuck as your mistress. That’s not fair!
Jaune: Coco, Coco, Coco… Just think about it, Mistress Adel~!
Coco: Mistress… Adel…?
Jaune: A woman, of fashion, and passion! A go getter who will let nothing stop her! A woman willing to get her hands dirty, but will look absolutely gorgeous while doing it. And, one who is a lover like none other. That is you, Mistress Adel~!
Coco: Mistress, Coco Adel~! Alright, then my lover, what are we waiting for~?
Jaune: For, Velvet to stop freaking out…
Velvet: What do I do, what do I do?! I can’t marry both of them?! And, I desperately want to! Oh gods what do I do?!
Coco: …
Coco: You go left, I’ll go right.
Jaune: Alright then.
Velvet: What do I…?! Hey wait?! W-What are you two doing?! Where are you taking me?!
The determined duo soon came forward, and grab Velvet by each arm, and start to drag her away.
Jaune: To a bedroom, where your loving husband wants to spend some time with his darling wife~!
Velvet: W-W-What?!
Coco: And, Mistress Adel wants to hop her favourite little bunny~!
Velvet: Mistress Adel…?
Velvet: A-A-Are you two going to doubleteam me when we get back?!
Jaune: Oh there’s a novel idea!
Coco: I’ll get the toys~!
Velvet: …
Velvet: Marry, Jaune. Fuck, Coco… Yeah… Yeah I can live with this.
JC: Excellent~!

Rated: G Warnings: n/a Pairing: Aaron Hotchner x Emily Prentiss Word Count: 3.2k Read on Ao3
All she did know, all she was certain of, was that somehow their presence in her life made her feel more at home than she had felt in a long time.
~~
A birthday fic for my beautiful, talented, brilliant friend @sequinsmile-x. You are such a bright spot in my life, and I’m ever so grateful to know you and call you my friend. Thank you for your unending encouragement and support, for our talks about serial killers and reality TV, and all the adorable cat pictures. I hope you have the happiest birthday. I love you <3
(Title credit to the wonderful @ssa-sparks)
~~
Emily pulls her car into an open slot as close to the field as she can manage, the animated sounds of children and their parents drifting in through her open window. She scans her eyes across the green and finds the only two reasons she was willing to get out of her bed this early on a Saturday.
In a rare moment of privacy, she decides to indulge herself. He’s dressed in a plain blue t-shirt and jeans, a far cry from the suit and tie she sees all week. It’s almost indecent, witnessing this stripped-down version of him. The version that always seems to elicit runaway fantasies of lazy, hazy nights draped around each other. Even from this distance, she can see him wiping sweat off his brow with his forearm, and a pang of yearning tugs sharply in her stomach.
Gathering two coffees in hand, Emily makes her way towards the lawn chairs she’s come to recognize, Jack’s duffel bag placed between them. She drops her coffee into her allotted cupholder and turns when she hears her name called.
“Hey buddy!” she exclaims, kneeling down immediately to be eye-level with the sandy-haired boy running towards her.
“Emily! You came!’ Jack gives her a broad grin, showing off the latest lost tooth. “Dad said I’m going to play forward today.”
“Woah, that’s awesome! I know you’ll be great. Are we still getting pancakes after the game?”
Jack offers an enthusiastic and unequivocal “Yes!” and they high-five to seal the deal.
“Let’s go find your dad.”
He’s reviewing his clipboard some distance away, brows furrowed in a familiar way that makes her smile. He takes his role of soccer coach as seriously as he does everything else in his life; Emily’s even made it a point to tease him about it. But she also can’t help the undercurrent of affection she feels watching him care so deeply about his son’s interests, knowing that if Jack decided to quit soccer tomorrow and take up orchestra his father would undoubtedly be equally invested.
She starts to walk towards him, Jack’s hand in hers, when she abruptly stops at the sight of an attractive woman approaching Hotch.
He greets her with familiarity, an ease in their interaction that makes something thud painfully in her chest. The woman’s blond hair is pulled back into an artful bun, her smile displaying a set of perfectly straight, white teeth. And while Emily is not one to compare herself to other women, she can’t help but frown at her own faded Yale sweatshirt and shorts when this woman in trendy athleticwear places a manicured hand on Aaron’s forearm and laughs.
“Emily?” She feels a tug on her arm and meets the questioning look on Jack’s face.
“Sorry, Jack. Let’s go.”
By the time they reach Hotch, the woman is still holding onto his arm, and he’s sporting his dimple as he matches her smile. Emily forcibly tamps down her irritation, pasting a friendly smile on her face.
“Emily.” Hotch turns towards her, the wrinkles near his eyes crinkling in that way she loves. She pretends to ignore the ripple of satisfaction she feels when his body shifts towards her, forcing the blond woman’s hand to drop down to her side.
“Emily, this is Julie. Her son plays on Jack’s team. Julie, this is Emily.”
Julie doesn’t hide her appraisal of the brunette standing in front of her. Green eyes scrutinize Emily head to toe, finally gracing her with a pleasant smile. “Nice to meet you.” Glancing between Emily and Hotch, she asks politely, “How do you know Aaron and Jack?”
“Oh, I work with, uh, Aaron,” Emily stumbles at the same time Hotch smoothly replies, “Emily’s a good friend.” The two glance at each other, equally bemused, but they’re saved from further questions by the referee’s whistle asking the teams to begin gathering for the start of the game.
Julie shifts her attention towards the Hotchner boys, wishing them a good game and leaving Emily with one more curious look before walking away to her own setup on the sidelines.
“I’m glad you came.” Hotch’s voice pulls Emily’s eyes away from Julie’s departing figure. She looks up to see him smiling at her, standing closer than she expected.
“Me too.” Her knuckles accidentally bump into his chest, and she finally remembers the coffee still in her hand. “For you.”
His fingers trace over hers as the cup transfers hands. “Thank you.”
The whistle blares once more in the background, followed by an impatient voice, “Dad!”
Emily chuckles, “I think that’s your cue, Coach Hotchner.”
“We'll meet you at halftime.” He shoots her a wink and a smile and lifts his coffee in a silent, second thanks as she walks back to her chair.
She spends the next forty minutes cheering for her favorite soccer player, jumping to her feet when Jack scores the first goal of the game, and wonders exactly when watching grade-schoolers kick a ball around a muddy field had become the highlight of her week.
-------
It had started four months earlier. After a case in Houston left her shaken, Hotch found her alone on the jet, and Emily upheld her promise — “I’m having a bad day.”
He said nothing for a while. The jet filled with their team, took off, and landed in its usual fashion. But just as she pulled her bag out of cargo and began to exit, he said, “I promised Jack if I made it back before bedtime we’d go for some ice cream. Would you like to join us?”
She didn’t, not really. What she wanted was to curl up on her couch with two fingers of the absurdly expensive whiskey Dave had gifted her.
But it was rare, exceedingly so, for Hotch to extend an invitation into his private world, and so she accepted.
When she arrived at the ice cream parlor, Jack greeted her as Ms. Emily, accepting her presence with a polite smile. She told him that calling her Ms. Emily made her feel old, so since they were now friends, he should call her Emily and she would call him Jack. At that, he grinned so widely, she couldn’t help but do the same. Her preferred flavor of cookie dough seemed to pass another unspoken test, Jack excitedly asking for a cone of the same.
An hour passed with pleasant, if a bit reserved, conversation between the two adults while Jack chattered away, eating up the silence. With each new dribble of ice cream on his chin, he told them stories of his friends at school, the experiment he did that day in science class, and a detailed recount of Charlotte’s Web, which he and his father planned to finish later that night.
An hour passed, remarkably, without a single thought of Doyle passing through her mind.
When they separated, at the moment before they turned to their respective cars, Emily grasped Hotch’s arm and whispered, “Thank you.”
It was two weeks later when Emily ran into the Hotchner boys at the park on a Saturday morning run, surrounded by a dozen other children running around in red nylon jerseys. So she was invited to watch her first soccer game, cheering Jack on and glancing occasionally at Hotch who was shouting encouragement and direction from the sidelines.
It was surreal, observing this glimpse into his everyday life. And when the game concluded, and Jack immediately ran up to her and wrapped his arms around her legs in a hug, she could only feel grateful that her Saturday plans had taken a detour.
It continued that way for the next few months. Hours stitched together, here and there, and Emily found that the restless fluttering that followed her around for the last year slowly began to dissipate.
On more than one occasion, she voiced her worry that she was intruding, overstaying her welcome in these moments that should be between father and son. But Hotch was quick to assure her that it couldn’t be farther from the truth, joking that Jack found her more entertaining than he could ever hope to be.
She wondered if she should be scared at how easy it all was. How they enveloped her into their little circle, no questions asked. How movie nights and soccer games and pancake breakfasts had eased that chaotic thing inside her that made her want to run and run fast.
She wondered why when Jack asked her to read him his book before bed one night, she didn’t panic at the thought of being needed and wanted by someone. Instead, when he had finally fallen asleep, and she smoothed the hair away from his forehead, she felt the weight of contentment settle in her chest.
She wondered how she could have been so blind to it, to him, for all these years. What she felt grew slowly at first, then consumed her all at once. When movie night turned into a glass of wine on his couch, and she was suddenly aware of the heat of his arm resting on the back of the sofa. When their goodbyes turned into goodbye hugs, and she could feel the imprint of him on her skin for hours afterward. When he smiled the way he did when she showed up on his doorstep, and she could imagine, just for a moment, that he wanted her as much as she wanted him.
All she did know, all she was certain of, was that somehow their presence in her life made her feel more at home than she had felt in a long time.
-------
For all the day before had been marked with violence and near-tragedy, the night of JJ’s wedding can only be described as idyllic.
Centerpieces of purple and white flowers sit on decorated round tables under a canopy of lanterns and string lights. Soft jazz floats through the backyard, as the guests mingle on the grass as they wait for the bride and groom to arrive.
Emily is talking to Penelope and Derek, commiserating about Kevin’s arrival with Gina, when she sees them. Her breath catches as he walks into the room, their eyes finding each other immediately.
“Emily!”
Jack runs into her legs, wrapping his arms tightly around her. She freezes when she catches the questioning looks from the others, no doubt wondering where this familiarity came from, when exactly Emily became the first person Jack runs to in a room.
It’s not that she and Hotch have been trying to hide…whatever it is they’ve been doing. But it’s always felt like something precious, unspoken. Something to be sequestered away just for them.
Emily gently ruffles Jack’s hair, bending down to smile at him.
“Hey, Jack. Don’t you look handsome?”
He beams up at her, telling her that his dad had to buy him a new shirt because he’s grown so big.
Behind them, Hotch clears his throat and says, “Jack, don’t you want to say hi to Derek and Ms. Penelope?”
Jack turns to wave, one hand still firmly holding onto Emily’s.
As Derek kneels down to high-five Jack, Emily looks at Hotch, and he smiles at her, a bit sheepish, as if he knows this interaction will undoubtedly raise questions from their inquisitive friends later.
Derek invites Jack to go look at the fountain outside, and Jack pulls gently on Emily’s hand, asking her to go with him. When they walk away, she glances back over her shoulder, and Hotch is still smiling. He gives her a small nod, a promise that they would find each other later.
The ceremony is lovely, JJ walking down a petaled aisle on her mother’s arm towards the flowered archway where Will and Henry wait for her. She stands next to Hotch and Jack, only too aware of the way his shoulder softly brushes against hers the entire time.
Dancing follows dinner, and everyone is passing partners around with each new song that plays. Emily’s dancing with Dave, laughing as he spins her in a circle, when she hears Hotch tell Jack it’s time for bed.
“Come on, Jack, you can go sleep in one of Uncle Dave’s bedrooms.”
“Can Emily take me?” Jack asks, his voice uncharacteristically plaintive, betraying his tiredness.
She and Dave pause their dance, the latter overhearing the same question, and Hotch meets her eyes.
“I can take you, buddy,” Hotch hesitates, looking up to meet Emily’s eyes.
Jack turns to find her and directs his plea to her, “Please Emily?” and her heart squeezes.
“Of course, little man, let’s go.” She holds her hand out for him.
“Emily, you don’t have to—” Hotch tries to interject, but she shakes her head.
“Don’t be silly. I’ll be back in a minute.”
Emily and Jack walk hand in hand into the house, and she can feel the confused looks on her back as they leave the party.
They find an empty bedroom easily, and Emily tucks him into the plush bedding, smoothing his hair away from his eyes out of habit.
“Emily?”
“Yes, Jack?”
“Are you going to marry Daddy?”
Emily’s eyes widen, her heart starting to hammer, as she wonders if she’s done this all wrong, somehow confused this young boy with her presence in his life. “What— what do you mean?”
“Daddy told Uncle Dave he loves you. And when you’re in love, you get married. Like Ms. JJ and Will. Right?”
His expression is earnest and sincere, and Emily feels like the floor has fallen out beneath her.
“Jack,” she asks slowly, “what exactly did you hear your dad say to Uncle Dave?”
Jack’s eyebrows furrow, a remarkable likeness of his father. “I heard them before. Before we ate dinner. Uncle Dave was talking about you. He asked Daddy if he loved you, and Daddy said yes.”
Emily can’t stop the burst of hope that blooms in her chest, or the smile that appears on her lips, even though a part of her is reminding her this could all be a misunderstanding.
But it’s enough for her, enough that she knows she has to ask.
“Don’t worry, Jack. Your dad and I are going to talk about this.” She bends down to hug him, brushing a kiss against his forehead. “Now you go to sleep, okay?”
“Okay. Good night, Emily.”
“Sweet dreams, little man.”
When she rejoins the party, she finds the man she’s looking for standing off to the side, surveying the dancing crowd as he cradles a drink.
“Do you want to dance?” Hotch seems almost surprised at the question, but he nods. Places his glass on the closest table and takes her hand in his. The song switches to something softer, slower, and they start to sway together.
Emily feels her heart thudding away in her chest, but she’s here on a mission.
“Clyde Easter called me today,” she starts, her voice casual, conversational.
“Oh?”
“He offered me a job. Head of the London office.”
She feels his shoulders tense beneath her hand, and she breathes a quiet sigh of relief.
“Is this— are you—” He takes a breath and starts again. “Congratulations, Emily. You’d be wonderful in that role.”
“Thanks.” She pulls back to meet his eyes. “I’m not sure I’m going to take it.”
The tightness in his jaw eases slightly. “Why not?”
“Actually, Jack helped me decide.”
“Jack?”
“He told me about a conversation he overheard tonight. Between you and Dave.”
He chuckles, and if she didn’t know him so well by now, she might not have recognized the undercurrent of nerves in the sound. “He’s always been a curious one. What— what did he say to you?”
“That you love me.”
He goes rigid for a moment, causing them both to nearly stumble, but recovers quickly. He’s quiet, studying her face, before he whispers, “And that helped you?”
She nods. “Because I love you too, and I decided a cross-Atlantic relationship wouldn’t be very fun for either of us.”
With that, his expression morphs entirely. Distinct relief, a hint of shock, and a newfound intensity in his gaze that makes her chest tight.
“Emily,” he breathes her name, and it’s like cotton candy, airy and sweet.
He searches her eyes for another moment, starts to bend down, when a loud laugh erupts from the crowd behind them.
Chuckling, he pulls away and squeezes her hand. “Maybe we should wait until we’re away from prying eyes,” his voice deep and laced with promise.
Emily agrees, though she’s sure if any of the others bothered to look in their direction, the smitten smiles on both their faces would surely give them away.
Instead, she steps into him, just on the edge of what might be considered appropriate. He takes advantage of her closeness, brushing his cheek against her temple as he says, “You look so beautiful tonight. I’ve been wanting to tell you.”
It’s almost ridiculous, the way her stomach erupts into flutters at his words and her skin starts to heat with the proximity of his body to hers and his breath on her cheek.
They separate after one song, not wanting to draw any more attention to themselves than they already have for one evening. Emily continues to dance, evading the insistent questions from Penelope and Derek, all the while feeling his eyes on her from across the dance floor and she’s all too impatient for the party to end.
When the night finally dwindles to a close and JJ and Will have said their goodbyes, he finds her in the empty hallway outside the bedroom where Jack is still asleep.
He says nothing, just tucks her hair behind her ear and cups her cheek with his hand. His lips are soft when they finally meet hers, a tender, hopeful kiss that speaks of their history, of their future, of finally.
They know they can’t linger, so he presses his lips to her forehead, then the tip of her nose, and whispers, “I love you.”
-------
The following Saturday, Emily is woken up by a kiss against her bare shoulder instead of her alarm. She pours Jack his bowl of cereal and drinks her coffee at their breakfast table. She sits in the passenger seat as Aaron drives them to the park, Jack talking away in the backseat, far too awake and animated for how early it is.
When they pull into the parking lot, Emily spots a familiar blond waving to Aaron from a few spots away. Jack runs ahead of them to meet his teammates, and Emily takes advantage, looping her arm around Aaron’s neck and bringing his lips down to hers.
He takes a moment to respond, taken by surprise, and he chuckles in amusement when she finally pulls away. “What was that for?”
Emily just shrugs, but can’t help her glance to the left. He follows her eyes and laughs harder when he sees Julie frowning at them from a distance.
He wraps his arm around her shoulder and kisses her temple, “Feeling a little possessive, are we?”
Her hand comes around his waist as they walk towards the field, and her voice is relaxed as she replies, “As long as she keeps her hands to herself, we’ll be just fine.”

...
It wasn’t often that Jamie had the chance to enjoy breakfast at the Holden house. Ever since their parents decreed that they were ‘too old’ for sleepovers, she and Cove didn’t have many opportunities to enjoy that particular meal together, which made today a rare treat. It wasn’t especially fancy fare, but it was lovely to be able to spend time with her boyfriend almost as soon as she woke up. She was glad she impulsively asked if he wanted to have breakfast with her when they exchanged their usual good morning texts.
After a pleasant meal filled with light conversation and tasty food, Cove invited Jamie to retreat to his room to relax and let the lazy morning linger before any big activities began. That was, if they didn’t just decide to take it easy for the rest of the day. Neither of them had any plans in particular, with no prior commitments with friends, family, or work to distract them from just spending the day together. It wasn’t officially a date day, per say, or at least neither of them called it that yet. So far, they just decided to do whatever came to mind while enjoying each other’s company.
Of course, the first thing that came to Jamie’s mind was to cuddle with her boyfriend. When Cove sat down onto the bed, she didn’t hesitate to take a seat beside him, leaning into him. He hummed happily in approval and looped an arm around her to pull her in even closer.
A mischievous smile tugged at her lips as a new thought came to mind, and Jamie leaned in even closer. Cove raised an eyebrow at expression, only to yelp when she unexpectedly pushed her weight into him and tipped him back onto the bed. She fell along with him, giggling as they tumbled onto the mattress
Cove let out a chuckle of his own once he recovered from his surprise. “When I said we could relax, I didn’t mean going back to bed,” he said with a wry smile. Even still, he allowed her to nudge him gently back to the headboard so that they could both lounge comfortably on the bed properly with their heads resting on the pillows side by side.
Jamie flashed Cove a satisfied grin before she snuggled up against his side, nuzzling her cheek against his as she basked in his gentle warmth. “You also said to make myself comfortable,” she teased, her eyes sparkling playfully as she rested her arm across his chest. “I’m very comfortable like this.”
Cove felt his heartbeat quicken, and he smiled back fondly at Jamie, nuzzling her cheek in return. “Me too,” he said softly.
Though maybe he was a little too comfortable.
Cove couldn’t help but be aware of the fact that they were both lying in his bed together. A prickling of nerves rose up that he quickly did his best to tamp down to not ruin the intimate moment they were sharing. It was fine, no big deal, he told himself. They were both fully dressed, on top of the sheets, and it was broad daylight. They cuddled plenty of times like this before on sofas and the ground. Heck, this was nothing compared to when they shared a bed when they were younger.
The flickering of nervousness didn’t escape Jamie’s notice. She softened her expression and reached up to gently run her fingers through her shy boyfriend’s hair. She had intended to steal a kiss or two and see where that would take them, but she decided that could wait until later. Just enjoying this moment with Cove was enough for her.
The touch was soothing, and Cove slowly started to relax as he leaned into Jamie. The anxious air that had threatened to pull him out of the moment gradually dissipated as her comforting warmth slowly settled in. Soon, he felt at ease enough to slip his arm back around her, which she happily used as her new pillow. He couldn’t help but smile at seeing the content expression on his partner’s face as she smiled softly back at him.
A comfortable silence washed over the pair as they simply enjoyed the quiet moment of intimacy. At some point, Jamie went from stroking Cove’s hair to toying with it. His ponytail limited her in how much she could card her fingers through his hair, but there were plenty of long locks to ripple between her fingers.
It wasn’t the first time Jamie got the impulse to play with her boyfriend’s hair. Even before he was officially - or even unofficially - her boyfriend, she couldn’t help but want to run her fingers through those pretty pale green strands. When they were younger, Cove would jokingly try to avoid her hands, but always ‘failed’ to escape in the end, allowing her to have her way. Sometimes she teased him back by pretending to give up, and he would always pout adorably, which she would immediately chase away with a satisfying ruffle of his hair.
Occasionally, Jamie would go beyond playing to actual styling. She was no professional, but it was fun to wind her boyfriend’s hair into a braid or two sometimes. Cove never minded, even if the braids rarely lasted that long after she was finished making them. It also didn’t escape her notice that he would sometimes shiver or let out an adorable pleasured little mumble when she raked her fingers along his scalp. It was an enjoyable experience for both of them, and sometimes she suspected that was one of the reasons why he let his hair grow as long as he did.
Jamie had no such grand designs now. Today she simply basked in the freedom to enjoy the feeling of his soft hair sliding between her fingers as she listened to the happy noises her partner occasionally let slip.
Although much more at ease, Cove couldn’t help the small traces of nervous energy that left him with the need to do something with his hands. He ran his thumb across her shoulder with the hand that was limited by Jamie resting on the upper part of his arm. With his freer hand, he decided to return the favor she paid to him and ran his fingers through her long deep blue hair, starting with stroking back her bangs before sliding his hand down along the entire length of her hair until he reached the ends at her hips. The feeling was soft and silky, and she sighed softly at the attention.
On impulse, Cove poked one of the small buns on top of his girlfriend’s head. Space buns were her preferred hairstyle of choice nowadays, and there was something satisfying about poking them that he couldn’t quite explain. Maybe it was the feel of them, or the way the bunched up hair bounced when poked that did it, but most likely it was because of the amused looks Jamie gave him whenever he did. She wore one such expression now, and he couldn’t help but chuckle a bit before giving her bun another playful poke.
Entertained, Jamie let Cove have her way with her buns, poking and prodding them as he pleased. The potential for innuendo wasn’t lost on her, but she let it go unsaid. As fun as it would be to make him flustered by suggesting that he might enjoy playing with a different set of buns she had even more, she didn’t want to interrupt the light, playful moment.
Jamie would just save that little bit of wordplay for later, preferably when the mood was good enough that Cove might take her up on the invitation.
Despite the steamy thoughts that skirted through her mind, Jamie did her best to focus on enjoying the lazy moment between them. It was lovely to just share such casual intimacy with Cove.
Jamie wasn’t alone in trying to ignore her more hormonal urges. As much as Cove enjoyed playing with her hair, focusing on touching her as he did made it impossible for him to stop thinking about the fact that they were both lying on his bed together. He was keenly aware of the gentle warmth of her body pressed against him, how soft and inviting her pink lips looked as she smiled at him.
Eventually, Cove realized he needed something else to occupy his hands if he didn’t want to risk disrupting the peaceful moment. Shifting about a bit, he fished his cell phone out of his pocket. Although Jamie raised an eyebrow at that and at being displaced from her cozy spot when he moved around, she held no objections as he turned his phone on and busied himself with it. Instead, she simply readjusted her position to get comfortable once he was settled again.
Sifting through missed texts and emails, Cove soon managed to distract himself from the urges that ruffled his nerves and relaxed back into the moment. He spotted a number of texts he missed from his dad, and for a moment he wondered if everything was okay until he realized Cliff just sent him a bunch of images last night.
A warm smile graced his face as Cove slowly scrolled his way through the photographs, nostalgia washing over him. Each photo brought him back to the moment it was taken, allowing him to lose himself in the priceless memories he shared with his friends, family, and especially the special person he held so comfortably close at that very moment.
Some photos brought back sweet memories, others a little more on the bitter side of sweet, and then there were the funnier ones. One such silly photo seized Cove’s attention, and he couldn’t help the burst of laughter that escaped him.
The sound immediately snapped Jamie out of her relaxed stupor and brought her back to the present. She raised an eyebrow at Cove, but he failed to notice her questioning look, too preoccupied by whatever was on his phone’s screen.
“What’s so funny?” Jamie asked as she propped herself up on her arm to get a better look at his face and catch a glimpse of the phone’s screen.
Cove finally turned to look at Jamie, his eyes crinkled with mirth and a smirk playing on his lips. “Dad scanned some old photos,” he chuckled. “You know…”
Now that Jamie was no longer using his arm as a pillow, Cove was free to use it to draw a rectangle in the air. “Printed out ones,” he explained, “back from when I was little.” He waved his phone a bit with his other hand. “He texted it all to me last night, I guess. I’ve been checking them out.”
Jamie sat up completely, her dark blue eyes flying open wide. “You were looking at your kiddie photos and didn’t tell me?!” she gasped, almost scandalized at missing out on something so priceless.
Cove barely resisted the urge to chuckle, offering Jamie a bent smile as his eyes narrowed playfully. “I was gonna show you.” His gaze then slid away to his phone as his expression turned a little more hesitant. “I just wanted to look at it first to make sure there was nothing super embarrassing. You never know with my dad.”
His mouth pulled into a grimace as Cove could easily imagine all sorts of horrors his dad might have captured on film to unintentionally humiliate him until the end of time. “I mean… what if there’s a photo of me getting potty trained or something?”
Although Jamie empathized with his worries, she couldn’t help but giggle at the fraught expression Cove wore. “Yeah, that sounds like something your dad would do.”
Cove could only respond by clearing his throat nervously, his eyes skirting away from Jamie as he sat up as well. While he hadn’t come across any particularly humiliating photo of himself, he couldn’t quite shake the fear of what his dad’s well-meaning actions might have left for him to deal with this time.
Jamie offered her boyfriend a sympathetic smile before adding a slight bent to it. “Hey, how about this - if you let me look at your embarrassing baby photos, I’ll show you just as many of mine. My moms have plenty of them.”
The offer was tempting. Cove couldn’t help but wonder what sort of photos Jamie had in mind, but the price was just too steep. He merely chuckled awkwardly and shook his head as he pointedly kept his phone tilted away from her. She huffed and puffed out her cheeks in a mock pout at him for holding out on her, which elicited a genuine bout of laughter from him.
Once Cove got his mirth under control, he smiled at Jamie. “Anyway, before we forget, I was laughing ‘cause I came across a Halloween one from when I was eight. The year I was a zombie, remember?”
Jamie dropped her faux pout and nodded, her eyes lighting up eagerly. Cove shook his head at her excitement, a wry grin gracing his face as he finally offered the phone to her.
As Cove watched Jamie eagerly turn to his phone, he couldn’t help but shake his head again, this time at his kid self. “I never even liked zombies!” he said, a little baffled that he ever was so enthusiastic for such a costume. “All I wanted was to show off my new scar. And I needed to be something scary. I couldn’t be a normal person who had a scar, according to my eight-year-old mind.”
The photo displayed on the screen showed Cove from ten years in the past, and a pleasant wave of nostalgia washed over Jamie as she saw him the way he looked when they first met, minus the pink cast and plus a fair amount of makeup and fake blood. Little Cove posed for the camera with his fingers hooked like claws, his mouth open as though letting out what was probably supposed to be a fierce roar. She could easily remember the noises he made that night as he pretended to be a zombie on the hunt for brains. His hair looked even more wild and disheveled than it did after the most energetic day of play, going well with the tattered and ‘blood’ stained button up shirt he wore. His face was painted in gray down to his neck, marred with an array of fake scars that couldn’t compare to the real one on his arm.
Cove looked from Jamie to the phone and chuckled softly at the face his younger self pulled for the camera. “I was a little dork.”
Jamie eyed Cove at such self-depreciation before poking him on the nose. “You were a little cutie,” she insisted. “And now you’re a big cutie.”
Cove blinked at the playful action before blushing at the compliment. He had no words to reply to it except for a quiet, flustered chuckle as he rubbed his nose.
Jamie grinned at that reaction before turning back to the photo. As much as she enjoyed how adorable Cove looked while pretending to be a fierce monster, it was impossible to ignore the scar displayed so predominantly on his arm at that time. Her smile softened at the edges at the sight of such a large, jagged line of fresh skin that was such a deep and angry shade of red. The scar was a pale memory in the present, but back then it looked so painful, and at the time she found it hard not to worry about him and his comfort after his cast came off.
Still, Jamie refused to let that put a damper on the story and focused instead on just how much fun little Cove was having posing for the camera and remembering the way they played around with their costumes that night. She could vividly recall how she pretended to run away from him when he playfully growled that he wanted to eat her brains, and the memory made her smile grow stronger.
“Dad really wanted to be useful, as usual,” Cove said, bringing Jamie’s attention back to him in the present. Though he noticed the flicker of sadness that crossed her face and realized the reason for it, he was glad to see her perk up again just as quickly. “He came up with the idea of being an undead person. It was pretty good, huh?”
Jamie chuckled softly and nodded. “You had the best Halloween costume that year, hands down,” she said playfully. “I remember you getting lots of extra candy when adults realized the scar was real.” Her smile widened as she remembered just how jealous Lizzie had been at how much candy Cove got that year, especially since he only offered to share some of that extra candy with Jamie. “It must have been your greatest Halloween haul ever.”
Cove couldn’t help but chuckle as well as he thought back to that legendary candy haul as well. It took him a month to finish it all even with Jamie’s help.
Still, the topic of his scar brought his gaze back to the picture. Cove couldn’t help but compare the way it looked in the photo to its current appearance on his left arm. “I can’t believe how much larger my scar used to be,” he said quietly.
Jamie watched as Cove turned his focus to his arm with a soft smile on his face. He traced his fingers along the jagged line of pale flesh that remained with him even ten years on. It was an action that she had seen him do countless times, but it felt more significant in that moment.
A soft sigh escaped Cove, but his eyes and tone were playful. “Look at how tiny it is now.” He gave Jamie a look with big, pathetic eyes. “How am I gonna pretend to be tough without a big scar?”
It was a struggle for Jamie not to laugh at the expression Cove wore. “You better not do anything stupid to get a new scar,” she joked with a faux disapproving frown as she wagged a finger at him. “No matter how much you like them!”
Cove grinned back at Jamie. “I won’t.”
“Good,” Jamie said with a satisfied nod. “You’ve already got the coolest scar, no matter how small it gets.”
Cove felt his cheeks grow warm and his smile turned bashful. “Thanks.” He ducked his head away from Jamie, pleased with their joking exchange. Once again, his eyes drifted down to his scar as he continued to trace it.
“I really do like having this,” he admitted in a soft, shy voice. “Even if it is kind of little these days.”
Jamie’s expression softened as well, feeling as though Cove was sharing a big secret with her. She couldn’t help but feel happy to hear that he liked his scar despite whatever pain it must have caused him to get it. It was always wonderful whenever he opened up to her like this.
Cove glanced up at Jamie, a gentle smile gracing his lips. “I like yours, too.”
The unexpected compliment caught Jamie off guard, and heat rose in her cheeks, turning them pink. She couldn’t help but smile as she felt her chest flutter with butterflies. He never failed to think of her as well, especially since he knew that she was self-conscious of her own scars.
Unthinkingly, Jamie brought her hand up to her upper arm and traced some of the countless jagged little white lines that marred her pale skin. There were matching scars in the same place on her other arm, as well as her thighs and her chest. Unlike Cove, these scars were not the result of an accident, but her skin not being able to keep up with her sudden growth during puberty.
Back during her early teenage years when the stretch marks were fresh and an angry purplish-red, Jamie always kept them hidden. Puberty had been rough on her, dealing a blow to her self-esteem as well as her body, and being covered in so many scars left her feeling ugly even though she never once thought of Cove’s scar like that.
It took time for Jamie to accept her scars, and she knew that Cove was a big part of why. Seeing the way he took such quiet pride in his scar always made her question how she thought of hers. More than that, he always made her feel beautiful, and he was always the first to remind her  whenever she needed it. That was why she was no longer afraid to wear clothes that exposed her scars like she did now.
Jamie scooted in closer to Cove as she smiled adoringly at him, placing her hand on top of his. “Thank you, Cove.”
Cove turned back to face Jamie fully. He finally let go of his scar so that he could take her hand in hers, giving it a gentle squeeze. He felt at peace with his scar and was happy to see the same reflected on her face as well. Their scars held such meaning to them despite coming from unhappy sources.
Jamie squeezed his hand back as she drifted even closer. “Could I touch your scar?”
Cove blinked, taken aback by the request. Usually, Jamie wasn’t shy about touching him without asking first, particularly someplace as innocent as his arm. Still, he quickly realized why she might hesitate to do that now and smiled gently at her as he nodded easily. “Yeah, that’s okay.”
Jamie gave Cove’s hand one more squeeze before letting go of it. Lightly, she pressed her fingertips against the edges of his scar. With great care, she slowly ran her thumb along the entire length of it, following the jagged angles the old wound took. The pale flesh was rough when compared to the rest of his skin, which was soft, but with goosebumps rising quickly along his arm as she stroked his scar.
The touch, so delicate and gentle, left Cove feeling a bit lightheaded. Jamie’s touch always felt wonderful and often left him feeling butterflies, but somehow the feel of her paying such careful attention to his scar was particularly powerful. A choked breath escaped him and a wobbly smile played across his face as he lost himself in the feeling.
The dizzied smile Cove wore along with the light pink of his cheeks drew Jamie in with the urge to do more. She locked eyes with him, staring deep into his aquamarine eyes as she took a hold of his arm and raised it up towards her.
A quiet gasp escaped Cove when she realized what Jamie had in mind. He couldn’t look away from her dark blue eyes as she stared so intently into him even as she placed a soft kiss on the old wound that marked him. The feeling of her lips, warm and soft, pressed so tenderly against that particular place sent shivers up his spine, and he let out a tiny squeak.
Jamie smiled against Cove’s skin as she appreciated his adorable reaction, as well as the way he looked at her with overwhelming adoration. She kissed him again and again, tracing the entire length of his scar with her lips like she did with her fingers before.
It was impossible for Cove to stay still when Jamie was showing him such affection. He reached up with his free hand to touch her arm. With his thumb, he brushed aside the edge of her open sleeve, giving him better access to the countless little white lines marking her pale skin. The texture was interesting, feeling so similar yet so different from his own scar. Because of their size and number, he found his fingers constantly alternating between soft skin and rougher tissue. It was difficult to trace any one scar from start to finish like she did for him, so instead he sought out to touch every single one.
The touch was electric, and Jamie could feel her heartbeat speed up as Cove caressed her so lovingly. “Cove…”
Cove shivered again as Jamie murmured his name against his skin, setting off sparks that made his body burn pleasantly. It urged him to lean forward, his eyes gleaming with the fire she set ablaze inside him.
Jamie raised her head and instinctively matched his movement, drawing nearer to Cove as her eyes drifted closed. She felt his lips gently meet hers, and she melted into the tender kiss. She held a little more firmly onto his arm as she fell deeper into him, feeling like she might drown in the depths of her feelings for him.
Cove all too quickly lost himself in the moment and in Jamie. It felt so wonderful, so right to be her like this, to touch and kiss her. He loved her so much that it was almost overwhelming, but knowing that she loved him as well kept him grounded.
Eventually they finally drifted apart, breathless and dazed from the kiss, their faces flushed with heat. When Jamie opened her eyes, she saw Cove gazing back at her with his mesmerizing ocean blue eyes. The look he gave her was spellbinding, filled with so much love and adoration that made her heart hammer hard against her ribcage. It told her without words that the feelings he had for her were just as immense as hers were for him.
Cove leaned in again, this time resting his forehead gently against Jamie’s. With heavy lidded eyes, he simply enjoyed gazing deeply into her blue eyes that always reminded him of the night sky. No matter how many times he saw them, they always captivated him. He could lose himself in those beautiful eyes of hers.
The feeling of his warm breath tickling her skin made Jamie shiver a little, especially the way it brushed against her lips like the ghost of a kiss. With their heads touching, his hand on her arm and hers on his, she felt entirely entwined with Cove. It felt so right.
Time ceased to have any meaning in that moment as they gazed deeply into their partner’s eyes and drank in the closeness and warmth they shared. Seconds or minutes might have passed, but neither of them cared as they lost themselves in each other.

(The continuation of this post where during a spell class a portal opened and the boys' female doubles as well as MC's appeared in the class) (I think I could make it an independent "story" for the adventures of my MC /OC /YUU)
My MC /OC /YUU and his double crossing the gaze in the class: * Double bi panic *
*Now we will have to find a solution to bring these young ladies and this gentleman back to their reality, but in the meantime here is the look of our twisted guys if they were girls*
Dorm leaders:
Riddle: Looks both serious and cute, with a round cheeky face and big eyes with long thick lashes as well as a pretty pixie haircut. Obviously she stays small but is always bigger than my MC OC YUU, her voice both soft and sharp, a very interesting contrast.
Leona: Made more of a woman than a young girl, still has magnificent hair, bewitching eyes and has a very toned and nicely muscular body. His voice is deep with that tone both seductive and bored. She knows perfectly well that she is beautiful, that she has charm and adores the handset with her immense intelligence. It's an absolutely formidable combo. She is the same height as her male double.
Azul: Gives that mafia-like aura (Or Sugar Mummy), with her hair styled in an impeccable bun and her tailor that is both professional and flatters her gorgeous figure perfectly. Her smile is both sweet and dangerous. But we all know that deep down she is a sweet girl who needs reassurance and who needs to realize how smart, hardworking, and beautiful she is (and we know any of us don't would stop proving it to her). She must be two or three centimeters shorter than her male double.
Kalim: She's still a sun ball and a full cinnamon roll! So positive and supportive! Tie up her long silver hair with a cute headband and always do her makeup in warm tones (where instead Jamil helps her with her makeup like that). Always wears tons of gold bracelets on her wrists and ankles, is very tactile, and has no problem cuddling the people she loves and appreciates! Is the kind of friend who makes sure you eat well and that you don't miss anything. (I can see her thinking that she and Jamil have more of a sister relationship than a master and servant relationship). Is exactly the same size as her male double.
Vil: Let's be honest here, Vil would be the most gorgeous woman who hasn't set foot at Night Raven College for decades after The Beautiful Queen! You almost feel like she's straight out of a fashion magazine but no, it's just that our Reine des Poisons takes so much care of her and works so hard to come to such potential! Her magnificent hair would reach her shoulders, her voice would be as beautiful as honey on a slice of bread and her makeup and manicure would be as perfect as it gets! Maybe she would be a little taller than her male double (even without heels). (I don't know why but apart from her care and makeup, I also see her very well making her own jewelry as well as her perfume).
Idia: Haired with two long, fiery quilts, she would be more the type to have an e-girl style but with very loose clothes that would not show her forms (the poor one does not realize that she has the potential to become a model for lingerie). Her voice would be both sweet and high-pitched, and she could also be smaller than her male double. (And Husbando, so many Husbando!). Doesn't trust her smile because of her sharp teeth but that is her charm and she is so fucking cute! Maybe she would be more organized and manic than her double even if her room would still be in a very big mess (at least she didn't leave her underwear lying around in plain sight, she would die of shame if anyone saw the cute and childish little designs on it).
Malleus: This woman ... Would be exactly the same size as her male double! And she would be so beautiful and elegant! With long black hair that she would let hang down her back, as well as her incredible figure! (Also gives those Magical Sugar Mummy vibes). His voice, by all the gods ... The most sensual and that playful note we've ever heard. Her voice is also so deep and sweet (let's not even talk about her laugh or I'll die of happiness). Still gives that awesome and intimidating impression on people but is so sweet when you get to know her (Always make that adorable pout when she's sad or upset, you feel like hugging her tight and telling her that even though she is scary in the early days, she's the sweetest person we've ever met!).
The Vice-leader:
Trey: Don't lie to each other, give these married vibes over and over again. But beware, also hides his game very well because in private ... 🥵. Her beautiful hair tied in a ponytail and her voice in playful tones. Would be the type to wear stockings with his uniform and is the same size as his male double. Smells like cake and vanilla, it's both so nice and it also makes you so hungry!
Ruggie: Is quite skinny because as we know Ruggie often endures difficult months. Short and messy hair, has a cheerful voice and an infectious laugh (Quite fond of pretty things in the background, but since she doesn't have much money, she can't really afford it. If she could, she would certainly treat herself to some pretty hair accessories). Perhaps an unacknowledged Tsundere side. Since she cannot feed herself properly for someone her age, she is most certainly smaller than the average for a Beast Woman. Would probably like to have a cuter look, unfortunately she can't afford it as she doesn't want to look "weak".
Jade: Holy shit, this woman is so dangerous and sweetly sadistic, if you ever pique her interest and she likes you on top of that, I'm sorry for you. Her body is certainly muscular and graceful (She also has quite incredible strength). Has long, wavy hair that she wears half-loose and is exactly the same height as her male double. Her voice and at the same time so soft and cold, you don't know if you should feel comfortable or on the contrary, run as far as possible. Obviously loves going for long hikes, (Her legs are so muscular, if she catches you with that, you won't be able to go anywhere). His tone is so teasing, you can't resist him for long.
Jamil: Very tall, even a few inches taller than her male double. Just like Trey, she smells so good, like cinnamon. Has a fairly athletic build, and remained a very, very good dancer. Very skillful, maybe makes her own wrist and ankle bracelets, also wears a lot of jewelry (not as expensive as Kalim's, but still very pretty and it shows her really well, especially the snake designs ), also wears a lot of ear piercings. His hair is very long, silky, and worn the same way as the male Jamil (maybe with extra pearls in his hair). Her voice is deep (sensual) and with a note of irony and sarcasm. Her make up apply lightly but always in such beautiful warm tones (she also highlights her cheekbones), especially with eyeliner to highlight her intense gaze.
Rook: His hair is worn in the same way as the male Rook, also wears a multitude of hats as well as pretty earrings. Likes to tease those around her, smiling and bright. Has a French accent, of course. But remains someone dangerous in the end. Is the same height as her double, is athletic, skillful and has excellent eyesight (Normal for a hunter). See beauty in everything and everyone! Don't you think you're handsome? Rook will give you ten points for why she thinks you are beautiful and why you should stop thinking that way because otherwise she will stalk you until you accept this truth. Her voice is happy and confident, deep and warm. May like to wear accessories like long socks with natural or animal designs. Specialized in throwing knives.
Ortho: So cute! The little sister you will want to protect at the risk of your life! So smart and friendly, curious too. Wears a cute fiery pixie hairstyle and has a cheerful, thin voice. Is so small and skinny.
Lilia: Oh boy ... see Draculaura from Monster Hight? She has the same look. So much into jokes, loves to surprise people to scare them. Her voice contrasts completely with her appearance since it is deep and velvety. Same size as her male double. Even though she looks so young, she still acts like a child mom. (Obviously, is always so bad in the kitchen, she brings out stuff, sometimes you are afraid that it will come to life to devour you). Despite her jokes, she is still very good advice and listens.
The rest of our boys:
Cater: If fashionable, is certainly a great influencer. Cater pays so much attention to everything, especially the little details and accessories that she wear. Makeup always on top and colorful, could become a model if she wanted. Is smaller than her male double. Joyful and higher pitched voice, her hair is a bundle of silky curls always worn in a cute way (Like Ariana Grande). (Has a multitude of fans and contenders) carefree and likes to give cute or silly nicknames to people she loves and appreciates. Would be the type to flirt with his friends for fun. Probably has a passion for nail art and would be so proud to show off her designs on her Magicam account! Would act with the first years like a big sister although she is not always good advice. She is so teasing.
Ace: Short, messy hair! Pretty tomboy style, enjoys teasing others too much for his own good, always smiling like shit and communicative. Is a sporty person, and quite arrogant, maybe also a little Tsundere side. Is a hopeless hideaway romantic. Even though she likes to do her makeup, she doesn't like taking fifteen years to do it and does the minimum required. Of course has a more feminine side when she's out of school, but honestly, feminine clothes are never practical for big movements. Act confidently but not too deep down. Her voice is happy and dynamic. Is one or two centimeters smaller than her male double. Likes to wear necklaces and chokers. Rather skinny but not as much as Ruggie.
Deuce: So sweet and so want to do her best to make her mom proud of her. Wearing long hair tied in a low ponytail, her voice is high-pitched and strong. Is quite tall (even taller than her male double). Read romance books on the sly but can't help herself when someone finds out. Probably already dyed his hair blonde during his delinquent period and dyed it before entering Night Raven College. Likes to wear barrettes in her hair, also does her best with her makeup but was not used to it before (it was mainly Ace who taught her everything she knows). Secretly loves wearing skirts and dresses, she hasn't been able to experience it before because she didn't think it would look pretty on her (But she's actually pretty). Certainly be shy and insecure when she finds new people, afraid of doing things badly. Blushes so easily that it is funny. When his delinquent side resurfaces, his voice becomes more serious, threatening, his posture leaves no room for shyness! She might want to change for the better, but that doesn't mean she's going to let others do if they want to bully her!
Jack: Do you see Jasper in the Steven Universe? You now have Jack as a woman. She is muscular and strong! The part she's most proud of is her muscular back! His silvery hair his savage and remained indomitable (But that gives him a crazy charm). Don't take shit from people and still is a Tsundere. But her wagging tail always betrayed her about her emotions, as well as her ears. Same size as her male double. Secretly loves cute things and certainly has an army of adorable stuffed animals in her room in Savanaclaw. Wears a biker style, and because she lives in a cold region with her family, she doesn't get cold easily, so her muscular arms are uncovered all the time (for your viewing pleasure 😏). Her voice is serious, so serious! But if you're friends, you definitely hear that thoughtful little note in her voice. If his male version is the Best Boy, his female version is the Best Girl! She takes care of those she loves and is always ready to help!
Floyd: Is exactly the same size as his male double. Wear her hair short cut in a boyish style (she doesn't have the time or the energy to dwell on her hair). Her voice has high notes, especially when she finds something or someone cute! Very expressive, has no filter. Like her sister, she is muscular and graceful. Her dress style could be similar to those of men in the 40's (she much prefers masculine clothes because it is more comfortable and she doesn't have to worry about her chest with large shirts. does not have to wear a bra!). Love accessories like earrings or piercings. Has immense strength and doesn't always control it. Dislikes makeup, she doesn't want to bother with it (but finds it charming on others, that's just her personal opinion). If its male version is not to be upset, it also works with its female version! Especially when it is at this time of the month, run away poor fools!
Epel: The same problem as with its male version! Except that instead of being manly, she wants us to find her sexy and not cute! All her life in her hometown has not to stop telling her that she was cute! Really ? Was she nothing else ?! She wants people she finds attractive to find her sexy, not cute! Just because she is petite, because she has big, innocent eyes and a round, youthful face, doesn't mean it's her definition of beauty or femininity! Much like her appearance, her voice is cute, slender. Her hair is long, wavy and held up with a red ribbon in an elegant manner. Compare to her male version, Vil lets her speak with her accent because it is one of her charm assets. Her face is decorated with delicate freckles. Is quite skinny with a tiny bit of shape but not a lot (let's say she has a lot more than Riddle). Epel is a little smaller than the male Epel, but not much.
Silver: She is the equivalent of Disney Princess Aurora. Except that, unlike, even if she falls asleep anywhere, she doesn't need a knight to protect her, she is her own knight! Remain a formidable swordsman! In spite of everything, remains someone calm and taciturn, very easygoing. She is very fond of animals and as they naturally flock to her, she is very happy about this fact. Wear her hair up to the shoulders and tie it in a ponytail for practice. She has a fairly toned body, but not too much. Her voice is soft and measured. She is much smaller than her male double.
Sebek: Acts hard but is so soft in the end. Looks pissed off all the time but that's just her natural expression. Wears her hair like her male version, and is the same size. Her voice carries so far, it's very impressive the first time you hear her! It is a bit sharp, but not in an unpleasant way. Carries so much esteem and respect towards Malleus, she would also like so much to be like her but she would never dare to compare herself to her! Blushes so hard and so quickly if you press the right buttons, it's so funny to see her get annoyed! Her figure is quite toned and sporty.
And finally, My MC /OC /YUU: Just like his female version, he wears round glasses, is always 150cm tall and has long wavy hair. Has fairly broad shoulders and is slightly muscular without really being so. Does everything possible to make girls feel comfortable and safe in his presence! He knows how exhausting the life and daily life of women is because of societal pressures and the male gaze. He knows that because of assholes, women are afraid of men and are afraid to even be in the same room as them, so he will do his best to ensure that she never feels that way around him! And if someone has the audacity to make one of them feel these feelings, oh boy ... that person won't last long! He was raised by his mother alone, and she taught him respect, consent and righteous values. He is an ally, so rest assured 😊😉. His voice is soft and serious (Also watching him get angry and argued in French is quite impressive! The sound of Rs in his mouth sounds even more aggressive).

The Lesser Known Best Girls of 2020
Anime this year has had its ups and downs, but do you know what gets on my nerves? When people ignore all the amazing female characters we’ve gotten and just assume Chizuru Mizuhara from Rent-a-Girlfriend is the best girl of the year (who is also amazing and deserves to be worshiped). Sure, we have Tohru Honda, Nobara Kugisaki, Abby, and Chika and Kaguya. But when will people start noticing the other MVPs of the year?
So this is an appreciation post for all the anime girls nobody has talked about from 2020 (at least, the new ones…sorry continuing series girls like Asirpa and Chihaya and Myne).
1. Kazuya’s grandma from Rent-A-Girlfriend. Because she constantly roasts Kazuya, she’s the reason this hot mess of a show exists, and without her, we would not get to know Chizuru.
Tumblr media
2. Makoto’s mom from Ikebukuro West Gate Park. Because she’s the perfect blend of no-nonsense mentor and pure cinnamon roll who does more to solve people’s problems than her son. Why can’t she be the protagonist?
Tumblr media
3. Swindler/Ordinary Person from Akudama Drive. Because she has gone through some of the most character development of the year, from a somewhat bland but still sweet cinnamon roll to a crispy bun who has seen some shit and has come out the other side. Or at least I hope she does, the show’s not over yet.
Tumblr media
4. Makoto Ohno from Diary of Our Days at the Breakwater. Really all the girls in this show are best girl material, but Makoto is the perfect senpai who is underrated and unjustly ignored…just like this show. Please watch this show, it’s the most wholesome watch of the year without being annoyingly moe.
Tumblr media
5. Minare Koda from Wave Listen to Me! Because she’s a hilarious boss ass bitch who represents all the women watching anime as jaded adults, and she practically carries that entire show on her own.
Tumblr media
6. Natsume from Deca-Dence. Because she’s basically an adult version of Emma from The Promised Neverland with the addition of a mechanical arm and a cute pet.
Tumblr media
7. Catarina Claes from My Next Life as a Villainess. Because she’s so fun to be around, she accidentally turned herself in to the protagonist of the harem game…and she never has to end up with anyone to consider her ending successful.
Tumblr media
8. Somali from Somali and the Forest Spirit. Because I would cut off my own arms to ensure her happiness. Apparently, most people don’t realize Somali is a girl and everyone forgot how adorable this show is.
Tumblr media
9. Chiyuki Fujito from Smile Down the Runway. Because she’s a great example of a typical determined anime protagonist who isn’t annoying and is easy to root for. And she ended up getting side-lined in her own anime in favor of the male co-protagonist.
Tumblr media
10. Arte…from Arte. Because she never gives up and constantly deals with people belittling her artistic abilities, but she’s still a kind person who doesn’t have to act more masculine to respect herself…..just ignore the hair thing at the beginning of the show.
Tumblr media
11. Oden/Hina from The Day I Became A God. Because she’s hilarious and effortlessly endearing, and she gets bonus points for her big “love confession” being familial and not romantic…cuz that would make the show very…different
OR NOT I GUESS! WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK PA WORKS? AM I THE ONLY ONE WEIRDED OUT BY THIS?!
Oh well, she’s a good girl either way, even if the show’s ending grosses me out.
Tumblr media
*editing this in after the fact* 12. DEAR GOD HOW DID I FORGET NOI FROM DOROHEDORO!? SHE LITERALLY GOT ME THROUGH SO MUCH OF THAT SHOW! Everyone’s favorite super buff lovable antagonist. She’s the perfect woman, nothing more to be said.
Tumblr media
And finally, the best girl of the year:
Sayaka Kanamori from Keep Your Hands Off Eizoken. Because her design is unique, she’s a shrewd, brilliant business girl, and without her, the show would go nowhere because the other girls would spend all day daydreaming about making an anime and never actually do it.
Tumblr media
And some honorable mentions:
Michiru Kagemori from BNA. Because her design is awesome. I just can’t remember much about her…personality wise.
Jing Xialian and Sophia Taylor from Appare Ranman. Because despite being the token women in an otherwise all male cast, they are the most interesting and entertaining characters in the whole show. They just need more screen time. Seriously, I love Appare, but I wish they were the protagonists.
Anyway, thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.

Naughty Words
Warnings: tickle fic, emotions
Words: (I'm more sure, around 1000-1500)
Summary/Prompt: So an idea for a prompt could be that the reader changes a word on Steves phone to a "bad" word. So whenever he tries to write a certain word the phone automatically changes it to "fuck" or something similar. And then the reader and the others will be like "language". Steve gets extremely frustrated until he figures it out:)
--------------------------------------------------
It was another normal day at the compound. You were bored because all the other avengers were training and Peter was at school until evenings time.
You were just sitting on the couch when you began to think to yourself. You could go annoy Tony, but you weren't sure if he was asleep. Pepper would usually force him to sleep when he couldn't so you really didnt want to disturb that. You could go train but Steve explained you were too young to be an avenger yet. OkAy StEve, (y/a) isnt old enough, WhAteVer! (I got ur back)
That's when the best idea popped into your head. An idea better than any other on the planet. Perhaps you were the smartest human on earth, smarter than Stark, perhaps even the smartest living lifefo!-
"That is a stupid idea y/n" Wanna laughed. She must had only just entered because you hadn't beard her before.
You jumped up and watched her at the counter with your elbows resting on the couch top and your head resting in your hands acting cheeky.
"Wanda! It's a great idea!" You protested. "What's gonna happen? Hmm?"
Wanda began to walk over to you and looked sideways. She brought her hand to her chin to think. You knew she was acting silly but you weren'tsure what she was up to.
"Hmm, I dunno. Maybe.." She then grabbed your hips and began to squeeze them, "Tickle you!?"
You squealed and bucked, tossing and turning on the couch, wanda now had started tickling your sides and giggling with your contagious laughter.
She then stopped and smiled at your giggling self curled into the couch. She ruffled your hair, "little prankster, have fun" she then left as you recovered from her attach as not to be attacked herself.
You didn't mind the tickles, but this prank was worth so much more.
Time had passed and you were just outside Steve's room. You entered quietly, he and the other avengers other than Wanda and Tony seemed to be training so the coast was clear. You slipped inside and looked around.
"This old man's got no taste" obvious in the nicest way possible.
You looked around and saw his phone charging by his bedside table. "Jackpot" you whispered and woddled over to it. You grabbed it and switched it on. Tony had brought him one from the 21th century, finally.
Annoyingly he now had a password now. Luckily, like all old men, it was either Password or his birthday. Or just the same password for everything.
You knew the plan, sneak in, get his phone, and change 'No' with auto correction to "FUCK YES BABY" Because, Swear words, yes, and let's all be honest Steve would never say this unless he was drunk, WHICH COULDN'T EVEN HAPPEN ANYMORE!
Once completed you snucked back out and left to your room to read a book.
More time passed, and finally the team were going to start dinner. Rather than calling everyone and disrupting them Steve decide to text everyone. Peter was also here by now, he had finished school a while ago and you both were sat in his bedroom playing video games.
Old Man Steve: So who wants what for
tea?
Metal arm: Idm
Bank💸: I'm in the shop, wont be
there.
Best mom: No Tony, we're eating dinner
with everyone. Y/n and Peter can choose
You and Peter both picked up your phones after pausing the game, both curious of the buzz after buzz's.
Old Man Steve: @Y/n🍃🌷💸 and
@spiderlings😟🕷, what do you want for
dinner?
Spiderlings😟🕷: 🍕?
You watched your phone as everyone texted, about to ask about what you should eat, but suddenly you remembered the little prank you decided to play on Steve. You knew that we had no pizza left, you and Loki had eaten it the night before when everyone was busy instead of cooking.
Old Man Steve: FUCK YES BABY, sorry Y/n
and Loki ate the last of it.
That's when both Peter and you heard Tony's laughter from his lab.
Bank💸: Languaage cap!
Metal arm: Steve??
Old Man Steve: what, FUCK YES BABY- I
didn't text that.
You: Language cap!
Badass🕷Spider: Language Steve, it's a bad
example to the kids
Old Man Steve: FUCK YES BABY, FUCK
YES BABY! How do I work this?
You and Peter then heard someone walking down the halls and to neither of your surprises Steve opened the door.
"Y/n, Peter, could one of you help me with this?"
Peter was about to answer but you quickly butted in, "oh, we don't know how to. It's too hard" you gave Peter a look.
Peter's face went from confusion to fear and smug. "Sorry Mr Roger's, this is out of my hands"
Steve grunted but smiled, he left to go to see if Tony would help him. Quickly you both tested Tony and explained the situation, everyone heard Steve grunt and leave the lab to go get dinner started.
Bank💸: you guys are fucked once he finds out yk?
Both Peter and you laughed, knowing fully well you'd be wrecked sooner or later, but you couldn't be bothered as of the moment. VIDEO GAMES AWAIT!
Half an hour had passed now and you were getting hungry, so you texted Steve to ask if food was ready, once again the same situation happened. And once more, everyone corrected him on his very inappropriate language.
It was a running gag, whenever one of you swore, Steve would correct you. 20th century shit, and him being a cinnamon bun turned steroids. Now you could have your revenge.
Finally though, food was ready. Peter and you left the room laughing and joking, you were annoying him about a headshot you had got on him but he bragged about more kills so it was practically even.
Everyone was getting to the table as Wanda and Steve set up plates, utensils, and food.
You sat next to Peter and Tony, Tony next to Pepper, next to Pepper was Sam, then Bucky, Steve, Wanda, Vision, Nat, Clint, Bruce and finally back to the Spiderling. Everyone else was busy, Thor and Loki were going to come the next week anyway, they were in Asgard again.
Everyone ate their meals, laughing and talking with one another, you sat directly across from Steve and saw him trying to stop Bucky from throwing his plate at Sam.
Tony leaned in next to you, whispering, "So you did the whole text situation?" He chuckled slightly as you nodded, smirking.
"Why?" Tony asked, he was curious because he knew you enjoyed pranking everyone, but he also knew you wouldn't do this to Steve without a reason. And in all fairness, you just wanted to spend time with Steve- and poke fun at his language- but mainly spend time with him. He had been on missions, work, training, and seemed busy with his life. You just felt as though he was drifting from you.
You shrugged at Tony's question, placing some food in your mouth. Tony poked your side, he didnt need you to answer but he didnt want Steve to have all the fun once this was over.
You squeaked and then squealed once he started squashing the skin on your side, everyone looked to see your adorable face slowly turn red from embarrassment.
"Arent they adorable?" Steve teased. You giggled and finally shoved Tony's hand off you, you looked at steve with a wobbly smile and asked about his language today.
"So Steve, what was up with your texting today?"
Nat swallowed her food and pointed a fork at Steve, "yeah Steve, it was a really inappropriate word"
In all fairness the team knew you both said fuck a lot. You usually would say after a rare mission you got to go on or when there were food in the fridge. "FUCK YEAH" or "FUCK YEAH BABY", probably from deadpool- though luckily for you, Steve was not a genius. Smart, yeah, genius. No. But you began to see the clocks turn in his head as he looked over the table at everyone.
After a while of winding up Steve, you all continued as usual. You were chatting to Peter and explaining how awesome you were at a game to Tony, luckily- well not for you- you hadn't noticed Wanda and Strve watching you as she whispered in his ear.
"Steve, y/n did it earlier, while you were training"
"What?"
"The whole 'no' situation, she wanted to prank you. She misses the time you spend together"
Steve turned to Wanda with both a confused face yet all understanding. Only now had he realised how little time he'd spent with you over the past few weeks. He felt bad but also a little mad at your little prank. But he smiled at Wanda, one filled with hope and- no he smirked. I wont sugar coat it. You were done.
Quickly Steve pushed out his chair, as loud as he could and took in a deep breath causing everyone to go silent and watch him. He then casually looked up and got to his feet. Everyone was almost finished by now, Buck, Steve, Clint, and even you had finished.
"Y/n, I need your help"
You watched him, confused. But suddenly seeing as smirk and losing all your cool as you looked to Wanda with a helpless face. Steve walked around the table and bent down to your height on the chair, whipped out his phone and asked you to help.
You stuttered, but once more explained you had no clue.
"Really? Stark, Peter, how about you?" The old man looked at the tech genius's. Neither spoke up.
"You're on your own kid"
Steve smirked and picked you up, throwing you over his shoulder slightly as you had just finished eating. Well a few minutes ago but still.
"S-Steve! Steve I didnt dohoho anything." As any normal response you began to nervously laugh, knowing fully well what would come of this. But you wanted it. You missed it. You missed Steve.
"All I need is for you to help me, can you? Or do I gave to make you?"
Steve had now flung you onto the couch as most watched and others continued their conversations.
"Steve I- i told you i have no clu-" suddenly ten fingers found your sides and began to run up and down them causing you to giggle and yelp.
"Nahaha! Steve! Steve!!"
His fingers traveled to your ribs, pinching and squeezing each one, pretending to nawh on them. He didn't start easy, no. He knew you needed this as much as he did.
"Mm, that was a great dinner, but I wonder what's for dessert?" He asked, gnawing on your ribs and squeezing your hips making you buck and squeal.
"STEVEEEEE!!!" you were almost histerical when he reached your pits, scratching at the hollows inside, making you giggle and scream, beg and brawl. It was truly adorable to watch the two of you.
"Tickle tickle y/n, aww do you want to help me now?" Steve taunted. You stood strong though, you wanted to win. Well maybe you didnt, maybe you just wanted this to last longer. You werent sure.
"NOHOHO WAY OLD MAHAN!" You bucked and squealed, blush covering your face. You truly didnt think it would get worse but oh God, Steve hadn't ripped out the fruits yet. And just for your sas. Ah, you were wrecked.
"Okay smart ass"
"LAHANGUAGE!"
"That's it." Steve lifted your shot and placed his mouth right above your belly button. Now you were beyond hysterical, you knew what would happen and wouldn't be able to handle it, Steve gave some of the best- WORSE. DEFINITELY WORST. Raspberries around.
"NAH! NAHAH! STEVE STEVE IM SOHOHORRYYYY! I'LL HELP! I'LL HELP!" you squeaked and bucked, trying to escape, those at the table laughed at your helpless, blushing body and Steve's incredible stubbornness. So mean. So very very mean. Mean.
"Ah I'm glad you'll help" Steve lifted his head and lessened his grip on your hips, not fully though, as a millisecond later he blew a big, wet, raspberry directly on your belly button, sending vibrations to your core and back.
You jolted and screeched, pushing at his head as he blew more and more with tiny tickle kisses around your stomach.
After a while he stopped and patted your head as you balled up into the couch, drowning in giggles, laughter and ghostly tickles.
Steve handed you his phone and you quickly changed the words back as they were, disappointed but happy that you spent time with Steve again. You missed your bond, even the tickles.
Steve kissed your forehead and turned on the tv, spongebob. A favourite of both of yours, cuddling together as everupmr rose finished and put away the dishes. You slowly fell asleep on Steve's lap, hally knowing you've got your captain back.

“Stefan!” You exclaimed.
Stefan rolled his eyes. “I had him!”
“No, you didn’t!” You shouted. “God, why can’t you just let me do my job! Why do you have to be such a control freak.”
“Cause I’m the one who made the plan,” Stefan said.
“Yeah, and it was literal dog-shit. I was about to stake him!” You said, putting your hands up in the air in exasperation.
Stefan rolled his eyes. “You should be thankful. You would’ve been toast if I didn’t come in.”
You clenched your jaw. “I’ll make you into toast.” You went to lunge at him, but arms pulled your back quickly. You kicked your feet in the air, trying to get out of the hold that Damon had you in.
“Let me go! I need to kick his ass!” You exclaimed.
Stefan smirked, “You’re human, you wouldn’t last one second.”
“We’ll see about that,” you said, managing to rustle out of Damon’s grip.
“Stop it!” Caroline yelled. You looked at the blonde who had her fangs out, ready to get in between you and Stefan.
“He started it!” You straightened up, pointing at Stefan.
“No, she did!” Stefan exclaimed.
“You two are act like 5 year olds. Grow up. Y/n, you were about to die if Stefan hadn’t come in,” Caroline said.
You scoffed, turning to your friend. “Really, Care?”
“See, told you,” Stefan snickered.
“But,” Caroline started, looking to Stefan. “You should’ve trusted her. She's more than capable of handling herself.”
You smirked. “HA! In your face, Salvatore!”
Stefan rolled his eyes. “I just didn’t want you to get hurt. I can’t live without my best friend.”
You teasing smirk turned to a soft smile. “Aw, Stef, I always knew you cared about me.”
“Barely,” Stefan scoffed.
“Oh, sure,” you giggled, walking up to him. “You adore me.”
“Only in some aspects,” Stefan said. “Oh, yeah? What are those aspects?” You smiled.
“Like when you’re quiet,” Stefan smiled at you.
Ouch.
You frowned, “Wow, so nice.”
“Well, you asked,” Stefan shrugged.
“Hm, true. Alright well, I’m tired of getting my feelings hurts by a vampires so, I’m gonna go home,” you said, walking over to the door.
“No, Y/n! Stay for dinner!” Elena begged.  “Nah, I’m okay. I have ice cream at my house,” you shrugged.
“You sure?” Caroline asked.
“Yeah. See you guys tomorrow,” you smiled and waved before exiting the Salvatore’s house. You sighed and went to your car, going in and heading home. Once you got home, you put on your pjs and opened a pint of cookies and cream ice cream. You turned on Criminal Minds and cuddled up on the couch.
15 minutes into the episode, a knock on your door sounded. You paused the tv, getting up. You grabbed pepper spray and a knife you had hiding in a vase, going to the door hesitantly.
It’s 10:50 PM. Who is at my door?
You peaked through your window, relaxing immediately as you saw Stefan. You put your weapons on a nearby table, opening the door.
“Hey,” you smiled.
“Hi,” Stefan smiled back.
“What’re you, uh, doing here?” You asked. “I came bearing gifts. As an apology for being mean,” Stefan said, holding out a box of chocolates, a box of pizza, and some soda.
“And I should forgive you, why?” You asked.
“Because I’m your best friend and you love me?” He smiled.
You pursed your lips, putting your finger on your chin. “Hm, well, I do love chocolate and pizza and soda. I also kind of consider you as a friend, too, so... sure. I forgive you.”
Stefan smiled. “Awesome. Can I come in and hang out for a bit?”
“Sure,” you said, moving out of the way so he could step in. He stepped inside, slipping off his shoes and his leather jacket.
“Whatcha watching?” He asked, walking into the living room.
“Criminal Minds,” you said, walking in with him.
“Ah, nice. The show doesn’t scare you?” Stefan asked.
“Not when you’ve seen a vampire rip a person’s head off right in front of you,” you chuckled, taking your seat on the couch again. Stefan sat next to you, putting his arm on the top ledge of the couch.
“Right,” he chuckled.
You sat back into him, putting your head on his chest. Stefan put his arm around you, pulling you closer to him.
This was normal behaviour for you and him. You two had been best friends for the past 3 years since he came here. You two connected instantly. You were witty and teasing, which was something Stefan couldn’t help but be intrigued by and attracted to. After finding out he was a vampire, you two became closer. You learned all his secrets, everything about his childhood, and slowly fell in love with him. It was cliché, you knew, but it was true.
You had always been attracted to him, since day one. He was handsome, no doubt. He was also kind and dedicated to helping his friends and family, which was something you admired. You’re little crush on him stemmed from when he had saved you from Kol Mikaelson. Kol pushed you off the terrace after you tried to stake him, making you fall hundred of feet. You truly thought you were about to die, but Stefan Salvatore swooped in and saved you. From the moment he caught you in his arms, when you looked into his eyes, when your lips almost met, was the exact moment you knew you were starting to like him. The time you realized you were in love with him was when the teasing started.
You two had been friends for about a good year or so. You two had always had a playful relationship. You two made it that way because you two liked each other and it was easier to be mean to each other than admit your feelings, but you two didn’t know that about each other. Anyways, the moment you fell in love with him was when he was helping you cook for you and your friends. You were trying to have a nice night without all the crazy. Stefan and you were cutting some vegetables up when you sliced your finger. You expected him to go all crazy, but really, he helped you out. When he was cleaning up the cut and wrapping the bandage around your finger, there was a moment when both your eyes met and a little voice in your head that said, ‘he’s the one you love and are gonna marry’.
It had shocked you, at first, and there was a period of time where you shut him out because you couldn’t deal with your feelings. But you soon realized that you couldn’t live without your best friend and that if you weren’t gonna confess your feelings, you would at least keep him as a best friend. So, you two started to tease each other more and would bicker like an old married couple. Everyone seemed to notice your feelings for each other but you two. It was truly amazing, but you two seemed happy this way, so no one every really bothered you guys.
“Wow, that’s not gross at all,” Stefan said, commenting on what was happening in the show.
“Yeah. it’s kinda weird, but I’ve been watching this show for 10 seasons so, you know, I’m very used to it,” you shrugged.
Stefan smiled down at you, admiring how pretty you looked all natural, hair in a bun, and in your pjs. He liked how focused you were on the show, even though mutilated bodies were being shown on the screen, very very up close.
“I never would’ve pegged you for a criminal show type-of-girl,” Stefan said.
“I’m full of surprises,” you grinned.
“Yeah, I know,” Stefan smirked. You looked up at him, your eyes skimming his lips before gazing into his eyes.
“What’s that supposed to mean?” You asked.
“Nothing,” he shrugged.
You started to yawn, putting your attention back on the tv.
“You should get some rest. You had a big day,” Stefan said.
“No, I wanna stay up and be a rebellious teen!” You exclaimed.
“You’re 18. You’re not a teen anymore,” Stefan chuckled.
You smiled, “True. But hey, you are! Aren’t you, like, 17?” You asked, looking back up at him.
“Yeah, but I’m also 165 years old,” he said.
“Haha, you’re still younger than me. I order you to go to your room and sleep. Oh, and you can’t talk back to me,” you giggled, teasing him.
Stefan rolled his eyes, “Ha-ha, you’re so funny.”
“Stefan Antonio Salvatore! Do not talk back to me!” You exclaimed, getting up from the couch. “Go to you room!”
Stefan stood up with you, towering over you. “How about I take you with me?”
You looked into his deep, green eyes. Your breath hitched, your heart racing to the point where you thought you were going to have a heart attack. Stefan took your hand in his, lighting your skin on fire. Heat rose up to your face, making you hide your face from his view so he didn’t see you blushing. But he put his other hand on your chin, lifting your face up and looking you in the eyes.
Your eyes went down slowly to his lips, subconsciously licking your own at the thought of kissing him. Your eyes went back up to his, noticing his eyes on your lips, too. Stefan’s arm snaked around your waist, pulling you in so your bodies touched. You felt the warmth radiating off of him, wanting to stay there forever. And as much as you wanted to kiss him, you knew you couldn’t. You knew he didn’t like you like that, and this was one of his ways of teasing you. So, you pulled away, turning away from his once more.
“You should, um, go. We’re both tired and stuff,” you said.
Stefan frowned, wishing you would follow along with him, but he didn’t try again. He didn’t want to force you into anything, especially since he wasn’t too sure about your feelings for him.
“Alright. I’ll go. I’ll see you later,” he said.
You nodded, not looking at him. “Bye.”
You heard the door open, hearing Stefan mutter a ‘goodbye’. Once the door closed, you started to cry. Tears that were forming in your eyes fell, coming down like a waterfall. You put your fist in your mouth, trying to drown out the sound of your cries, not wanting to wake your mom. You went to your room, curling up on your bed and hugging your pillow.
I wish I would’ve kissed him.
————
You walked in Elena’s house, your mouth watering at the smell of bacon and eggs.
“Hm, who’s cooking?” You asked.
“Me,” Stefan smiled once you came around the corner.
“Oh, great,” you said.  “Aw, come on, I apologized to you last night. Be nice,” Stefan said.
“Being nice to do is the last thing on my to-do list,” you snorted. “Give me some eggs and bacon?” “Nope. Say sorry,” Stefan said.
You rolled your eyes, walking over to Stefan and the stove. “In your dreams. Now, give me food, Stuffy,” you smiled, using a nickname you had made up for him.
“Not a chance, Y/n/n,” Stefan smirked.
You sighed and tried to grab the plate of bacon that was in his hand, but he held it up in the air. You huffed, jumping up and trying to get the plate from him.
“Stefan, I’m hungry! I didn’t have an actual dinner last night. Please,” you begged, jumping up, barely touching the plate.
Stefan put the plate down to your reach. You smiled, “See, I knew you couldn’t resist me.”
Right as you were about to grab the bacon, Stefan swiftly put the plate down, taking both your wrists in his hands. You fought against him, a big smile on your face.
Caroline, Elena, and Alaric scoffed in the living room.
“Are they ever gonna get together?” Alaric asked.
“Sometimes it seems like it,” Caroline says. “And sometimes it doesn’t,” Elena sighed.
“Why? They’re like, perfect for each other,” Alaric said, smiling a little when seeing Stefan scoop you in, spinning you around.
“They’re so oblivious to each other’s love, it’s annoying,” Elena said.
“And weirdly movie-like,” Caroline said. She sighed, looking at the two of you longingly. “I want what they have.”
“More like lack there of,” Alaric snickered.
Elena hit his shoulder, going over to the kitchen.  “Okay, love birds, let’s eat. I’m starving,” Elena said.
Stefan let you go, your feet landing on the ground.
“So you’ll listen to Elena and not me?” You asked.
“Hm... yep,” Stefan smiled sweetly.
“Rude,” you remarked, making your way to the kitchen table.
Stefan brought over the food and you dug in. You all talked about a new plan to take out Klaus, which led to you needing to go back to your house to get some vampire-hunting supplies.
“Mind if I go with you? Might be some heavy lifting I’ll need to do,” Stefan said.
You rolled your eyes, “I’m strong enough, but sure. I could use someone to make it less boring.” You got up, putting on your shoes and jacket.
“See you later, guys,” you smiled and waved to the rest of your friends.
They waved back at you and Stefan followed you out to your car.
“So, what’s the reason you wanted to go with me?” You asked, getting in your car.
“I don’t know,” he shrugged. “I’m bored.”
You snorted, shaking your head. “Okay, yeah, what’s the real reason.”
“I um... I wanted to talk about last night,” Stefan said.
“Alright, but nothing happened. We did our little friendly-cuddle, you got all up in my personal space, and then you left and I went to bed,” you said.
Stefan shook his head, “No, Y/n. That’s not what happened.”
You parked your car in your driveway, getting out and going into your house.
“Then what happened, Stefan. Tell me,” you said, walking into your room and going into your closet.
“Well, we did do our cuddle thing, but it definitely wasn’t friendly. We also almost kissed,” Stefan said, following you.
“Sure, Stefan. You have a funny imagination, you know,” you said, getting out your box of weaponry.
“We did, Y/n. Stop being in denial. I also know that you cried after I left,” he said.
You looked up at him, scoffing and moving past him.
He just wants to get under my skin.
“Y/n, this isn’t one of the times where you can just walk away and we forget about it. I’m serious,” Stefan said.
Shit.
“How do you know I cried?” You asked.
“I... I heard you using my super-hearing through the door,” Stefan admitted.
You shook your head, “Stalker.”
Stefan went up behind you, grabbing your forearm, causing the box you had to drop on the floor. He turned you to him, looking deep and hard into your eyes.
“Let me go, Stefan,” you muttered through a clenched jaw.
“No. Why won’t you talk to me about this?” He asked.
“Be-Because I don’t want to. I have a right to not want to do anything, you know. Let me go!” You exclaimed, fighting against him.
Stefan shook his head. “No. I want to know why you pulled away. We had a moment, Y/n, and we’ve always been having moments since we met. I... I don’t know if you are in love with me, like I am with you, but I felt something last night. I know you did, too. I saw in your eyes and I know that you were crying because you pulled away and you were upset. So, Y/n, why’d you pull away?”
You looked up at him helplessly. “I... I pulled away because I was scared.”
“Scared of what?” Stefan asked softly.
“Scared of what would happen. I didn’t know if you loved me back. I was scared that if I kissed you, that I would lose our friendship. And as much as I wanted to kiss you, I can’t risk losing you,” you confessed.
Stefan’s hands let go of your wrists, going over to your waist. He pulled you closer, your bodies touching once again. Your heart beat against your ribcage, making you more nervous than ever. You looked up at him, leaning in closer.
“You’re in love with me?” You asked.
“Yeah. Probably since we became friends,” Stefan said.
“Me, too,” you smiled.
“I figured after last night,” Stefan smiled.
You chuckled, “Yeah.”
“So, are you gonna pull away now?” Stefan asked. He put his hand on your cheek, his hand staying on the small of your back. He looked into your eyes, waiting for your answer.
You shook your head with a smile. “No, not this time.”

Chapter 23: Break Free
“Help!”
“Why? What’s wrong?” Marinette clutched her purse. “Is there an akuma?”
“Worse,” Eliott moaned. “Lisette asked me on a date, and I kind of accidentally said yes.”
Marinette breathed a sigh of relief and rolled her eyes. “Eliott, that’s not an emergency.”
“Yeah, don’t scare me like that!” Macy swatted his arm.
“Sorry.” Eliott winced.
“So, why is having a date with Lisette a bad thing? I thought you liked her,” Martin said.
“Well, yeah, but that doesn’t mean I want to go out with her!” Eliott replied.
“I’m confused.” Martin turned to Macy, who sighed.
“Eliott is the most flirtatious person in school, but he malfunctions when people flirt back.” She explained.
Eliott collapsed onto the couch with a groan, burying his face in his hands. “What am I gonna do?”
“You can always back out if you don’t want to go.” Marinette suggested while preparing the tea.
“That’s just it. I do want to go.” Eliott sighed. “I like Lisette—more than I thought I would. She’s smart and funny and down-to-earth. I’ve just never been on a date before.”
Marinette carried a tray over and set it on the coffee table, plopping down beside him. “I’m sure you’ll be fine. Lisette is nice.”
“What are you two going to do?” Martin asked.
“We’re going to a movie.”
“Eli, that’s the easiest date ever. You just sit in silence for two hours,” Macy said pointedly.
“But what if I spill my drink in my lap? Or in her lap? Or what if I trip over my shoelaces or start sweating really badly-” Eliott was spiraling faster than Marinette usually did with Adrien.
“Eliott, none of those things are going to happen. Just relax, and you’ll be fine.” When Eliott remained quiet, Marinette placed a hand on his shoulder. “I know you’re scared, but I talked to Lisette at her party a few weeks ago. She’s really sweet, and I can tell she really likes you.”
“I guess…” Eliott sighed.
“You’re the smoothest guy I know. Girls at school actually swoon when you walk by.” Macy took a seat on his other side. “Marinette is right. You’ll be fine.”
“I’m just so nervous. I really like Lisette, and I don’t want to screw anything up.” He lowered his gaze to his lap, and Macy pursed her lips.
“Tell you what, why don’t we turn it into a group date? I’ll take Martin, and Marinette can ask Adrien. That way we’ll all be there for you if you start to get nervous.” Macy suggested.
“Marinette can ask who?” Heat spread rapidly across her cheeks. Things with Adrien were certainly escalating, but Marinette wasn’t sure she was confident enough to make the first move!
“Oh, don’t you start!” Macy giggled. “Looks like Martin and I are going to be supporting both of you nervous Nancys.”
Martin’s cheeks darkened three shades, but he didn’t protest. Eliott wasn’t the only one panicking now. How did this happen?
“I don’t want to drag you guys into this if you don’t want to,” Eliott said.
Marinette eyed him with pursed lips. It wasn’t that long ago that her old friends were helping her plot scheme-after-scheme to win Adrien over. When she’d been afraid, they had her back. Even if they were gone now, Marinette could still extend the same support to her new friends. Besides, Adrien might finally be able to kiss her—that would be a dream!
Taking a deep breath, Marinette offered Eliott a smile.
“We’re your friends. We’ve got your back,” she said.
“Thanks, Marinette. Sorry I crashed your celebration.” Eliott flicked his gaze down to the macarons on the tray.
Marinette pulled him in for a tight hug, and Macy and Martin joined in. Eliott relaxed in their arms. The past few months had been a rollercoaster for better and worse. Marinette had lost friends, gained friends, been presented with opportunities she only ever dreamed of. With Adrien closer to her than ever, she was finally starting to feel at ease, and although Lila’s threats still loomed over her, they were drifting further away. Marinette was burying her past more than ever, and soon enough, she was going to break free.
♪♫♪ New Romantics ♪♫♪
“Evening, m’lady. How is the prettiest girl in the world?” Adrien grinned when she answered his video call.
Marinette leaned back in her desk chair, her knitting abandoned in her lap much like Adrien’s Chinese notecards were in his. It had been a few days since Eliott’s meltdown, and she still hadn’t asked Adrien to be her date. Time was running out, but how could she ask the cutest boy in the world on a date when he said things that made her so flustered? Adrien had gotten bolder with his compliments, even slipping in the occasional pet name, and it made her brain all floaty. Although, this one was her least favorite...
“She’s fine, but are you really going to call me that?”
“What’s wrong with m’lady? You don’t like it?” His perfect eyebrows knitted together.
“It’s…okay. I just think other names are cuter,” she said.
What was it with blond boys calling her m’lady? She finally got Chat Noir to stop calling her that, she didn’t need Adrien to start now.
“Well, what would you prefer I call you?” he asked, those green eyes hooding in a way that made her heart skip. Why did he have to be so gorgeous?
“You can call me whatever you want. Just not m’lady.” She crossed her arms over her chest, cheeks burning.
“Hmm.” Adrien studied her. “Well, I could call you my incredibly beautiful, angelic, and talented goddess, but that’s a little long.”
“Only a little.” She giggled.
He tapped his chin. “How about my radiant queen? My sweet macaron? Mon ange?”
Marinette’s head was spinning. She had hoped to get over her nerves when she and Adrien started dating, but as it turned out, she wasn’t prepared for all the attention at all.
Adrien chuckled when she covered her rosy cheeks with her hands, leaning against his fist with a soft smile.
“I suppose I’m getting ahead of myself. I haven’t even taken you on a proper date yet. I need to earn the right to call you those things,” he said.
Now was her chance.
“Um, actually, I wanted to ask you…” She pressed her palms together between her knees to hide how the shook. “See, Eliott has a date this Saturday, and he’s super nervous, so we all promised to make it a group date to support him. I was hoping if you were free that…you could be my date?”
“Okay.”
“I mean, it’s mostly just to support Eliott, so it’s not an actual date-date. Eliott just didn’t want to go alone, and we’re his friends, so we just want to make sure he feels comfortable. N-Not that I wouldn’t go out on a real date with you! I’d love to, if you wanted, and I guess this could count as a real date, but if you wanted to go on a date with just the two of us, that would be fine too. We could always pick a different day, and-”
“I’d love to be your date this weekend,” Adrien said.
Marinette breathed a sigh of relief. “Oh. Well, then awesome!”
“I’ll beg Nathalie to rearrange my schedule, so I can free up some time.” He promised.
“Kay.” Marinette tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear with a smile. “I hope you can come. I mean, Eliott really needs us, but also I want to… I’d be really happy if we got to spend time together.”
“Me too.”
“Adrien, I-” Her chest tightened, declarations shooting from her lungs to her lips, but Marinette caught them on her tongue. Out of all of her confession attempts, this time she was sure he’d reciprocate, but it didn’t feel right to say it now. A more cowardly Marinette would have confessed over video call, but she was done hiding behind cards and voice messages. These feelings were her most prized possession, and when she finally shared them with Adrien, she wanted to do it in person.
“Um,” she said. “I guess, I’ll see you Saturday?”
“I’ll do everything I can to be there.” He bit his lip. “See you soon, mon ange.”
“Yeah, see you soon.”
♪♫♪ Into You ♪♫♪
“How do I look?” Eliott asked.
“The same way you did five minutes ago,” Macy said pointedly.
Eliott paced the length of the sidewalk outside the movie theater where Marinette sat with Macy and Martin, tugging at his collar.
“Do I have anything in my tee-”
“Nope.” Macy cut him off.
“Eliott, you look great. No one’s as smooth as you, so just relax.” Marinette meant to be reassuring, but it didn’t pause his pacing.
Marinette leaned back, letting the sun warm her cheeks. Puffy, white clouds feathered the clear blue sky—the perfect weather for a date. She checked her phone again and bit her lip.
Nathalie cleared my afternoon today, so I’ll see you soon, mon ange!
Adrien would be arriving soon too. Their first date! It was finally happening. How many nights had she lied awake dreaming of this day? They’d gotten closer in the last month since she left. It was odd, but maybe it was true when they said absence made the heart grow fonder. Adrien certainly seemed interested in her now, calling her cute nicknames and complimenting her more frequently. She was starting to get used to it, or at least, she didn’t foam at the mouth whenever he flirted now. It was progress, considering she could barely talk to him a few months ago.
“Town car at 3 o’clock. Deep breaths, Eliott,” Macy said. She stood up and brushed the dust from her shorts. “You’re going to be fine. We’re all here for you.”
Marinette and Martin joined them as Lisette’s chauffeur opened her door, and two adorable blonde buns crawled out in a pink dress. Eliott stiffened, and Macy elbowed him. When he didn’t move, Macy rolled her eyes and stepped forward.
“Hey, Lisette. I love your dress,” she said.
“Thanks!” Lisette fluffed her skirt.
“Don’t you think she looks cute, Eliott?” Macy urged.
“Uhh, yeah, it’s fine.” Eliott rubbed the back of his neck.
Two hands pinched Marinette’s sides, and she startled, nearly dropping her phone into the gutter. Skilled hands caught her phone and spun her around without missing a beat, mischievous green eyes twinkling with amusement.
“Boo!”
“Adrien!” She flailed against his chest, and he shifted his weight to steady her. How was he always so graceful? “You scared me!”
“Sorry. I couldn’t resist.” He chuckled, leaning his forehead against hers. “Forgive me?”
“This time,” Marinette said.
Adrien placed a soft kiss to her knuckles. “It’s good to see you.”
Before Marinette could get too worked up, Macy cleared her throat.
“Okay, looks like everyone is here. Shall we head inside?” She gestured to the theater.
Adrien’s hand brushed hers as they walked, timid and inquisitive. Marinette’s cheeks warmed, and she mustered the courage to slip her hand in his. Adrien twined their fingers, giving her palm an affectionate squeeze.
Another set of hands gripped their shoulders, and Eliott burst between them, shoving them apart.
“So, I was thinking for seating arrangements that we could do guys on one side and girls on the other,” he said.
“Or-” Macy interjected, leaning against the concessions counter- “you could sit by Lisette, and Marinette and I can sit by Adrien and Martin.”
“Another idea: Why don’t I sit between you and Marinette, then Lisette can sit on Marinette’s other side, and Martin and Adrien can sit together?” Eliott countered.
“Actually, I agree with Macy. I want to sit by Marinette.” Adrien took her hand again.
“Tell you what, why don’t Adrien and Marinette sit on the end, then Martin and I can sit next to you and Lisette in the middle.” Macy proposed.
“I think that sounds fair,” Lisette said, flashing Eliott a shy smile.
“Uhh, yeah. That could work, I guess…” He shoved his hands in his pockets.
“Great!” Macy beamed.
After purchasing their concessions, they made their way to their theater. Adrien held the door open for Marinette with a gentlemanly bow, and she bit back a smile. The theater was sparsely populated, giving them no shortage of seats near each other. Macy led the way to a row in the middle and ensured that everyone abided by the seating arrangements.
Eliott hesitated by his seat, shifting his weight. “Uh, I’m going to run to the bathroom, so I don’t have to get up during the movie.”
“Okay.” Lisette smiled up at him.
“Hurry back.” Macy gave him a stern look as he scurried back up the aisle.
Adrien gathered a few popcorn kernels and tried to catch them in his mouth. Marinette giggled after each failed attempt which only egged him on. When he finally caught one, he bowed theatrically, and she offered him a soft clap. He cast her a playful smirk, crossing his arms over his chest.
“Ya know, that was pretty impressive. I’d say I deserve a reward,” he said.
“What kind of reward?” Marinette asked, heart skipping a beat.
“Well, I have one in mind, but a gentleman always asks first.” He leaned in, eyelids hooding. “Will you reward me, mon ange?”
Marinette cupped his jaw in one hand, savoring how it made his breath hitch. Did she make his heart skip too? She’d never considered what physical reactions Adrien had to her. What thoughts kept him up at night?
Tilting her head, she closed her eyes, but before their lips touched, clumsy hands scrambled at their legs. They separated, cheeks hot as Eliott crawled over them to his seat.
“Sorry!” he whispered as the lights dimmed.
Adrien wasn’t deterred by the interruption. As the previews began, he draped an arm around Marinette’s shoulders, and she leaned against his chest. It felt as perfect as she’d always dreamed, but Marinette’s bliss was short-lived when Eliott tripped over Macy into her lap.
“Hey! Sorry, uh, do you guys have any napkins?” he asked.
“No, we didn’t grab any.” Marinette shook her head.
“Okay, I’m just gonna run out and get some.” Eliott climbed over Adrien.
Marinette and Macy exchanged concerned looks. It wasn’t the only time Eliott got up during the movie. First it was napkins, then he wanted the same kind of chocolate Marinette bought. Next, he needed a drink refill, then he needed to go to the bathroom because he chugged all of his refill.
“Where are you going now?” Macy hissed, tugging his shirt the next time he got up.
“Another refill.” He waved his empty cup.
Macy facepalmed.
“Fine. I’ll go.” She snatched the cup away from him and pointed to his seat. “Go. Sit.”
Eliott slumped back to his seat with a pout, and Macy slid up the aisle, grumbling to herself.
“Poor Eliott. He’s so nervous, he can’t even stay in his seat,” Marinette whispered.
“I don’t think he’s sat for longer than five minutes the whole time.” Adrien added.
To prove his point, Eliott moved back up the aisle. Since Macy was gone refilling his drink, Marinette was in charge.
“Where are you going?” she asked.
“Bathroom.”
“You just went twenty minutes ago,” Marinette said pointedly.
“I drank a lot of soda!” He shot back.
“The movie’s almost over. Can’t you wait?” She glanced at Lisette who was eyeing their exchange with furrowed brows.
“I pee a lot when I’m nervous! Marinette, please don’t make me pee my pants on a date.” Eliott pressed his palms together.
Another patron shushed them, and at Marinette’s permissive sigh, Eliott sprinted from the theater. Lisette sank in her seat, leaning against her fist. Marinette flicked her gaze between Lisette, Adrien, and the exit. She turned to Adrien, an apology on her lips, but he flashed her an understanding smile.
“Go.” He pressed a soft kiss to her knuckles. Why did he have to be so perfect?
She rose from her seat and chased after Eliott, her knuckles still tingling. As much as it pained her to leave Adrien, Eliott needed her more. He was curled into a ball outside the theater door when Marinette found him.
“Hey.” She placed a hand on his shoulder. “You okay?”
He peeked up at her with tortured eyes.
“No. I’m totally freaked! I can’t sit still for longer than ten seconds without feeling like I’m gonna throw up. I haven’t been this nervous since my first audition.” He lowered his head with a sigh. “Maybe I’m not cut out for dating.”
“Don’t say that.” Marinette chided. When he buried his face in his knees, she sat beside him. “If it makes you feel any better, I used to be the same way with Adrien. I could barely get two words out around him. My legs would get so jittery and gelatin-like that I could barely walk. I thought for sure he’d think I was insane, but ya know what? He never minded.”
She leaned her head back with a smile. “And now today, he and I almost kissed, and I was totally fine. Which, by the way, you so owe me for interrupting.”
“Sorry.” Eliott sighed. He stretched his legs out in front of him and leaned his head back to mirror Marinette’s position. “I feel like I ruined everything today.”
“There’s still time to save it,” Marinette said, “and you can always try again. I can’t tell you how many times I screwed up with Adrien. If Lisette really is the right person for you, then things will work out. The right people stay by your side, no matter how crazy you look.”
“Yeah, I guess.” He tapped his feet together. “I just really like Lisette, and it freaks me out. I’ve never really felt like this before. It’s all…new.”
“Maybe you should tell her that. I’m sure she’ll understand.” Marinette prompted.
Eliott offered her a smile, standing up and helping her to her feet. He pulled her in for a tight hug, leaning his head against hers. “Thanks, Marinette. I’ll reserve a romantic do-over date for you and Adrien.”
“I just want you to be happy, Eliott. We all do. That’s why we came along today,” Marinette said. “We’re always here for you.”
“I know. I’m really lucky to have friends like you and Macy.” Eliott pulled back with a sigh. “She’s going to kill me later.”
“Or she could do it right now.” Macy pressed the cold cup to his cheek, and Eliott flinched away with a yelp. “I see you got up again.”
“Yeah, sorry.” He rubbed the back of his neck. “But I think I’m good now. Marinette calmed me down.”
“Good. Let’s go back in and-” Macy’s voice trailed off as people started exiting their theater. “Don’t tell me-”
When Adrien, Martin, and Lisette walked out, Eliott slumped.
“Movie’s over,” Adrien said with a wince.
“That’s okay! Why don’t we all go get ice cream! I looked up Andre’s location while I was standing in line for drinks. He’s not that far from here.” Macy held up her phone.
“I could go for some ice cream.” Adrien glanced at Marinette with a smile.
“Yeah, ice cream sounds great.” Eliott echoed, casting Lisette a shy smile.
When they made it outside, Marinette slipped her hand into Adrien’s, twining their fingers together once more. Eliott was ahead of them chatting with Macy and Martin, so there was no risk of being interrupted. But… If Macy and Martin were with Eliott, where was Lisette?
Marinette stopped in her tracks, dropping Adrien’s hand as she spun around. Lisette hadn’t moved from the curb outside the theater. She picked at loose threads on her skirt, head low. Marinette abandoned Adrien for the second time, and Lisette looked up with a frown as she approached.
“You were wrong,” Lisette said.
“What?”
“About Eliott. I don’t think he likes me at all.” Lisette clarified.
“No! Eliott is just nervous.” Marinette insisted.
“I was nervous too! I kept telling myself that he said yes for a reason, but he’s barely even looked at me all day. I just can’t, Marinette.” Her big brown eyes bubbled with tears as a silver car rolled to a stop in front of them. “I’ll see you later.”
“Wait! Don’t go!” Marinette pleaded. Her head snapped up, eyes widening in horror. “Lisette, look out!”

Group 4 Adult hc’s please 😭 they’re all precious! Thank you for loving Group 4
YES OMG! I love this! And you’re so right 😭 They are so precious and I adore them 💜
WAIT. I wasn’t sure if you meant individual hc’s or ones of them all together 😭 If I messed this up, lmk and I’ll do new hc’s!!
Karma Akabane
He’s a distinguished bureaucrat by day, a compete fucking disaster by night
No who am I kidding
He brings chaos no matter what time
Lives to drive his co-workers insane, even if he gets along with them. It’s just a habit of him being around anyone lmao
His apartment is really expensive and nice...except it’s also a fucking mess.
See when he was a kid and lived alone, there was still a maid around. He didn’t live like a slob.
But as an adult with no supervision whatsoever....well, he kinda lets loose. A lot.
Drops his $500 suits right onto his floor, has piles of clothing around, his official government papers are laying everywhere, like Karma, isn’t that illegal??? Lmao
Invites his co-workers out for drinks, or he happily goes along if someone else invites him. Actually makes more of an effort to be social as an adult, surprisingly.
Irritates Terasaka whenever he gets to see him...which is fairly often hehe
Also likes to barge into Group 4’s lives...literally. Like he’ll randomly show up to Nagisa’s classroom, sneak onto Kayano’s film set, invite himself into the nursing home Kanzaki is at and befriend elderly people, etc.
No matter what though, you can’t change Karma lmao. He will go to ridiculous and edgy methods in his job, even snoop on government officials outside of work
You DO NOT want him as an enemy. If any politician crosses him, Terasaka tears up on their behalf. “Just try to survive, man.” “Uh, what?” “You’ll see.”
Competent adult rating: 5/10
Manami Okuda
It’s not surprising of course, but she’s totally dedicated to her work and research. Her loved ones have to remind her to take breaks often.
Her apartment is generally tidy because she’s barely there.
Her work desk space on the other hand...is hella messy lol. She tends to throw papers around in the middle of stuff, and there are a few old food containers or takeout boxes from late night work.
She likes to tie her hair up in a braided bun often, to keep it out of the way. That’s mandatory for lab work anyways.
Dresses in a lot of casual but comfy attire, like blouses, jeans, skirts and boots, etc.
Gets along well with her colleagues, but she still has that habit of being a little reserved. Like she won’t jump right into hanging out with them, only if she’s invited to.
Her communication skills have improved so much omg, let’s all be proud of her <3
She has a pet chameleon!! It’s name is Rutherford, after the chemist lol
Tomohito Sugino
He actually lives by the strictest guidelines out of all of them
Since he’s a professional athlete, he really has to take care of his body and maintain his physique.
So like...a diet focusing on proteins, vitamins, nutrients, lean meats, vegetables, etc. All that good stuff.
And he works out twice a day. Once in the morning, he goes out for a jog as cardio. Then in the evening, he’ll do a more strength-based workout for his core and biceps.
As usual, he is very social and makes friends super easily UwU. When he’s not focusing on work (this is rare) he likes to make plans with people often.
Can’t handle being alone for too long
Gets confused/annoyed by finance matters a lot lmao. Hates filing taxes and doing paperwork, treats it like a chore rather a necessity for adulting
He has a really popular Instagram page actually, given that he’s a well-known baseball player. He posts mostly selfies, pics with friends, workout mirror selfie’s lmao, and of course pics of his dog
She’s a golden Labrador named Kimi, and he adores her so much. She’s a puppy still but she’s very active and loving.
He becomes a really popular meme for his very tired facial expression during a particularly rough game. Sugino takes great pride in this lmao
Credit to @assclass-dump for this amazing idea: Sugino being like Tony Hawke, and literally no one recognizes him outside of his baseball uniform lmaooooo. I love that.
Kaede Kayano
She has her shit together...for the most part
Kayano’s fame as an actress only grows more and more as she gets older. She has a ton of awesome big roles, even internationally.
This is canon: she does her own stunts and she always amazes the entire crew, especially if her co-star is new to meeting her and had no idea.
Kayano tends to not always take care of herself that well though. She exercises and maintains a strong physique daily, but her meals tend to consist of like...a flimsy salad and a pudding cup and that’s it.
Her apartment is pretty taken care of for the most part, especially when she’s filming and only comes back for sleep.
On her off-months though, best believe this girl tries to chill at home for as much as she can lol. She needs that well-deserved rest.
Kayano visits Aguri’s grave once every month. She brings her favorite flowers and gives kind of a life update on everything. She cries every time.
During her lowest moments, she’ll open up the yearbook that Korosensei left for her. She’ll read all his encouraging notes, laugh at the goofy memories they made...
She stays in contact with Kanzaki and Sugino the most. It’s harder with Karma and Okuda who have very demanding jobs too...and Nagisa who is hyper-focused on teaching
Gets involved in a couple dating scandals and such because the media is bored and nosy. But she shuts that shit down so fast and ruthlessly.
Yukiko Kanzaki
Adulting definitely comes the easiest for her, out of all of them
At the residence care facility she works at, she’s known for being the chillest and prettiest nurse
Bonds with most of her patients very easily. She especially has a sweet spot for elderly women, since they remind her of her beloved grandmother
She also had learned to be more open and comfortable with expressing herself. Unlike her junior high self, she isn’t envied or disliked or treated as an idol.
She actively communicates with her co-workers and has become better at making connections.
In true Kanzaki fashion, she absolutely will speak out if an injustice happens near her, and this sadly can be common in elderly care homes.
She doesn’t tolerate mistreatment at all. She voices her concerns and objections in her usual classy way, but if nothing changes, she’ll be persistent and more aggressive.
Kanzaki lives in a fairly modest apartment not too far from work. She walks every morning to get fresh air and enjoy being outside. She also stops by a cafe for breakfast and brings something for a co-worker she’s especially close to.
Even though her family could afford to get something way nicer and more expensive, Kanzaki insisted they don’t. She wants to work hard and achieve things through effort.
Besides she’s always been curious about a more humble lifestyle. She finds that she actually enjoys it immensely.
Nagisa Shiota
Hey hey hey, it’s our favorite new teacher <3
Seriously Nagisa is super dedicated to his job. He spends a good portion of his free time making more plans and ideas for future lessons.
He’s also just...such a spectacular teacher.
No matter how difficult his students may be, he never treats them like they’re problems. He always gives them a lot of kindness and respect, which sadly they don’t get a lot from others.
Disciplines in a really good way, like he’ll correct them but won’t sound condescending. He doesn’t sugarcoat, he’ll be honest but absolutely will give new chances.
Also can be totally fun and goofy if the time calls for it. Doesn’t want his students to ever fear him or feel like he’s unapproachable.
Makes learning to be fun and creative, also connects with each student one-on-one for sure.
He lives in a super tiny apartment. That teacher salary bro 😔
Takes a train everyday for a short commute to get to work.
His apartment also is prone to being littered around with a bunch of teaching stuff until he gets to organizing it.
Is generally very liked by his colleagues! Some of them don’t really agree with his teaching style and think he’s too lenient, Nagisa doesn’t pay them mind.
Can cook really well but is prone to buying convenience store meals often, because of his schedule.
Keeps a photo of 3-E on his nightstand.
