Remus is good at studying because he has to be; he's smart and gets good grades but it takes hard work to get there. Sirius on the other hand is effortlessly brilliant. He understands and learns fast; he doesn't need to take notes in class or study much for his own sake. It's boring because he already knows it.
But when Remus misses class because of the full moon? Notes taken. Remus is overwhelmed and stressed while studying and suddenly nothing makes sense? Sirius talks him through and discusses it until Remus is back on track. Remus barely keeps his eyes open while trying to read? Sirius takes the book and reads it out loud. Too tired to write his homework? Sirius does it for him, after Remus has fallen asleep wrapped in a blanket on the couch beside him.

Double Surprise | R.L.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
summary: The Marauders and Lily come over for Christmas Dinner but you and Remus have a little surprise for them all.
pairing: remus lupin x fem!reader
includes: mentions of sex, talks of pregnancy, drinking, sirius and reader acting like siblings, overall just fluff
a/n: this idea came to me randomly 🤷‍♀️ (and it’s not even Christmas time yet??)
Tumblr media
Ever since you fell for Remus all those years ago, you knew he was the one you wanted to be with forever. He did as well. You went from talking, to dating, to engaged, and the latest: married. And every single time you fell harder and harder for him.
So it was no surprise that you wanted a child with him. A mini version of your love right beside you. After a long conversation with a worried Remus, you both decided it was time. You were able to soothe his thoughts about the full moon and a baby at the same time which you knew was his greatest worry. He didn’t want to accidentally turn you nor the baby into what he was.
With many nights of trying — although both of you could argue that some of those nights were much more passionate than others — you were finally pregnant with his child. There was no other way to tell your friends about the news except over Christmas dinner, of course.
“How do I look?” You bit the tip of your thumbnail in anticipation, looking at yourself through the mirror hung in the hallway. “Presentable enough?”
It wasn’t like you were scared to tell them… Actually, you were beyond terrified to tell them, especially Lily. She was practically a sister to you at Hogwarts and you always told her everything that happened in your life. And having a baby was the most important news of all.
“Gorgeous as always, dovey.” Remus murmured as he carefully wrapped his arms around you with his hand placed on your stomach, cradling the growing fetus.
You weren’t showing at all. You were barely two months, but you knew he meant it as a comforting gesture. You tilted your head to look at him properly and smiled when he placed a gentle kiss to your lips.
You parted and bit your lip softly, smiling even harder as you looked between his eyes. “What was that for?”
“Just admiring the one I love.” He nudged his nose with yours and kissed you once more.
The moment was sweet enough to give you a cavity, but the rapid knocking from your front door caused the both of you to snap out of it. You lean your head on his shoulder and shut your eyes for a second, letting yourself stay in comfort for a little longer.
Finally — after more aggressive knowing from the door — you sigh and press a loving kiss to his lips. “Get the door, please? I need to check on dinner.”
“You just don’t want get cold.” Remus patted your hip as you sent him a cheeky smile.
“You know me so well.” You blow him an air kiss as you sauntered into the warmth of the kitchen.
But even from the kitchen you could hear the shouts of the people at the door, which amused you beyond all doubt. Sirius — of course — was the loudest voice you could make out. His shouting loud enough for the neighbors to hear over the thickening snow.
“Moony, let us in! It’s freezing!” Sirius shouted as he pounded on the door with his fist, teeth chattering.
The next voice you heard was James. And it was no surprise to you that he used his wife’s name to get Remus to open the door faster.
“You don’t want Evans to freeze, do you?”
Finally, you heard Lily’s voice through the thick door. “It’s Potter now, but we all know I’m still your favorite, Rem!”
You snickered when you finally heard the door unlock and feet stumbling into the warmth of your house. The clunking of boots and your coat rack filled the air as you pulled the food out of the oven.
“Oh, thank Godric.” Sirius immediately collapsed onto the arm chair, propping his feet up toward the fire place. “I couldn’t feel any of my bloody fingers.”
Lily hastily placed her coat into James’ hand before directing her attention to the Welsh man beside her. “Remus, I love you, but I love your wife so much more.”
At that, you perked up and rushed into the living room, colliding with Lily and crushing her in a tight hug. “It’s my favorite Potter!”
“Hey—“
“Says you, Mrs. Lupin.” Lily kissed both your cheek and held you in front of herself to get a better look at your figure.
Thankfully, you wore a comfy sweater that covered your barely showing bump. Lily rubbed your arms, smiling so bright it challenged the sun’s rays. You tuck strands of hair behind your ears, face radiating pure joy.
“How did we both get so lucky?” You return her smile and lead her into the kitchen with questions trailing after. “How are you?”
James looked at Sirius and Remus in disbelief, still surprised that the girls left them faster than the speed of light. Remus shrugged and still had a lovesick look on his face.
“Yeah, I’m not doing that.” James propped his coat and Lily’s on the rack and snapped his fingers in front of Remus, sighing when he glared at him.
“Are you sure?” Sirius wiggled his eyebrows and nudged Remus with his elbow. “It could be fun.”
“You two are so weird.” Remus rolled his eyes and left them to set up the dining table, shaking his head when he heard the two of them bickering as they followed him.
“You’re part of this friend group!”
As the smell of Christmas dinner filled the house — along with chatter from all of you — it was finally time to reveal your surprise to the group. They were merely talking amongst themselves as they ate dinner, oblivious to the glances you kept sparing to your husband.
You were still anxious about how the reveal would go down. Noticing this, Remus brought your hand up and kissed the back of it with a look a reassurance. Now you knew you had to tell them.
“Mm, you know the Longbottoms? They have a child on the way.” Lily drank from her iced tea as she told you the latest gossip she heard since the last time she saw you.
“Really? It seems like everyone we know is.” Sirius swirled his wine around before downing it all in one go.
You grimaced at him, masking your face when he made eye contact with you.
He glanced around at the table and gave you and Lily confused looks, refilling his wine in the process. “Hang on now, how come you,” He pointed a finger toward your figure. “And you,” He then pointed at Lily. “Aren’t drinking wine? Christmas is the best time to drink some.”
“Saving it for the in-laws.” You waved a hand around and did your best not to project nervousness. “Besides, Remus isn’t drinking either.”
Sirius stuck his tongue out at you then quickly retreated when you sent him a dirty glare. He was about to protest when Remus interrupted. Remus knew that you two fought like siblings and it wasn’t needed today.
“Speaking of gifts…” Remus squeezed your hand and grabbed your attention once more. “Dovey got you guys early gifts.”
You nod slowly and clear your throat, letting excitement take over when you saw Lily light up. “We’re going over to his parents’ house for Christmas and I really want to see your reaction to this present. It’s one that can’t that long.”
As you stood up to find the presents for them, Remus guided them over to the living room right in front of the Christmas tree. The three of them sat across the carpet like children on Christmas morning. You handed them their gifts and took a seat next to Remus, his arm naturally moving across your shoulder.
Before Sirius could even tear into his gift, you stuck your hands out to stop him. He frowned and crossed his arms, almost like he was a child.
“Sirius I want you all to open them at the same time.” You swiftly spoke and fiddled with Remus’ fingers instead, effectively calming yourself down.
All together, the three of them opened their gifts and suddenly, gasps filled the air. Lily and James’ mouths were gaping and you couldn’t tell if it was good or bad sign.
“What do you guys think?” You bit the inside of your cheek and leaned your head in Remus’ shoulder, trying to defuse the nervousness creeping up your body.
Sirius huffed and spun the picture a thousand times without looking at the other gift inside. “I can’t tell what it is… What’s written on it?”
“You’re kidding.” James looked between you and Remus before down to your stomach, running his fingers through his hair.
“Really? You’re being so serious right now?” Lily twisted the ends of her tissue paper in excitement, ready to jump all around the room.
“Hey, wait—“ Sirius tried to intervene, still clueless to what the photo was supposed to be portraying.
“Congratulations! The odds of this happening is pretty slim.” James stood and clapped Remus’ back, giving you both happy looks.
Your face twisted in confusion as you looked up at James, Lily trailing right behind. “What do you mean?”
“Me too.” Lily placed a delicate hand on her stomach, making you gasp in return.
“Really?” Your eyes shined brightly, grasping her hands in yours.
“Yeah, just found out a couple of weeks ago.” She shrugged and watched James and Remus converse about the new fatherhood they would embark together.
“Congratulations, Lils!” You giddily exclaimed and pulled her into another soul crushing hug.
Lily laughed in enjoyment. Not only was she happy you were pregnant, but she was overjoyed by the fact you were pregnant as the same time as her. Although you were ahead by a little.
“What is happening?” Sirius whined, throw the paper onto the ground before looking inside the gift once more. Once he found the onesie that said he was going to be an uncle, everything clicked into place. “Ohh…”
“You poor thing.” Remus rolled his eyes before meeting your happy eyes.
You radiated pure joy because of today and he swore that this memory would be etched into his mind forever. No matter what happened, he knew you always had someone to talk to about anything. He pulled your waist and kissed the top of your head, knowing damn well your face was red.
“I’m so happy for you, dovey.” He murmured softly and rubbed your stomach. “I love you more everyday.”
You look up and smile back, “I love you too, Rem.”

You’re a regular at a coffee shop that serves a variety of blends, so much so that the air almost always smells of ground coffee and is only slightly entwined with the sweetness of baked goods. However, you weren’t a regular for their coffee or treats, you were a regular for their hot chocolate, made by a specific barista.
“Hello again,” Remus (the barista in question) greets fondly as you come up to the counter, ready to order. He’s a tall brunette with a gorgeous smile and a talent for making hot chocolate. “The usual?”
“Only if it’s you’re making it, Remus,” you chirp, smiling up at him as he chuckles—it still astounds you that you’ve become such a regular customer that you’re comfortable calling him by name. You note the incredible length of his lashes as they brush against his cheekbone and admire the faded scar marking his jawline. He’s the perfect model-looking-barista archetype that pulls in customers with a simple glance, and you’re embarrassed to admit that you were one such weak-willed individual: shyly stepping into the cafe for the first time without anything in mind to order until he suggested the hot chocolate, and you were hooked ever since.
“Of course, I wouldn’t let anyone else touch your hot chocolate, love.” It makes your heart flutter every time he calls you that fond endearment, and you’re sure he knows it too—he probably calls all the lady customers by that name. But no matter what you tell yourself, you weren’t just there for the hot chocolate… “Would you be interested in a sweet treat to go with it this time? Everything’s baked fresh,” he gestures to the array of baked goodies on display, and you try not to drool at the selection openly. Remus has made this offer so often that you don’t think it’s simply him trying to generate more profit for the cafe anymore. But because of his consistent assertions and soft eyes, you finally cave, worn down like the cliff edge by the ocean, sending you crumbling down and into its depths. “I’ll make sure to give you a discount.”
“Alright, alright.” Side-stepping, you lean over to inspect the display case and the delicious array of treats it holds. “It’s kind of a hard choice…”
Remus laughs and nods in understanding, “I don’t blame you. Please take your time, it’s a slow hour.”
Despite his reassurance, you continue to struggle and soon get anxious over not having made your pick yet. “Do you have any recommendations?”
“Of course!” Stepping away from the coffee machines he preoccupied himself with, Remus gestures to his personal picks, “If you want to satiate that sweet tooth more, you can’t go wrong with our chocolate chip cookies. But if you want something a little less sweet to go with your hot chocolate, our all-butter shortbreads are also a good choice.” With his help, you’re finally able to choose and watch as he selects the biggest, most delectable-looking one in the display—you try not to smile too hard at that; he’s the sweetest. “I’ll have your hot chocolate ready for you soon, love.” Not only did he give you a discount, but he didn’t charge you a single penny.
“Thank you so much, Remus.” He sends you away with a charming smile and your plated treat. When you eventually choose a window seat, you decide to wait until your hot chocolate is done to indulge in your snack pairing and take to observing the city scene outside.
With a sigh of gratitude, you quietly thank the cafe walls for providing you with such peace. This has become such a safe corner for you in the city that you couldn’t believe you survived so long without it. And it was all thanks to glimpsing Remus’ gorgeous face and sweet nature by chance. The memory made you want to giggle, but you’re soon pulled from such thoughts by the obnoxious clearing of a throat beside you.
When you turn, you find the source to be the most annoying man you’ve ever met, already introducing himself and quickly beginning to ramble obnoxiously. (What did he say his name was?) He had an ethereal type of beauty with his pale skin, grey eyes and midnight-black hair, dressed in leather like a biker from the 80s, but with a voice that itched your brain in the worst way possible. Was he trying to flirt with you?
“I’m sorry?” you ask, just to be polite and also to test if this guy was being serious or not about his brazen behaviour.
“Oh, don’t be sorry, dollface~” he leans in uncomfortably close, “I know I’m a looker, so there’s no need to be shy, you can look at me all you want—all day long if you must.” The stranger flutters his lashes at you, and you swear that you have the most confused and aghast expression on your face. You’re staring at him like he’s grown two extra heads, but he doesn’t stop and continues with his ‘flirting’. “Anyway~ I’m a looker and you’re a looker, why don’t we be lookers together and go for a date?” he wiggles his brows with a smug smirk on his lips, and you try your best not to gag, giving him enough breathing room to continue without an answer. “Do you have a boyfriend?”
Before you could respond and politely try to shoo him away, a dark, coarse and almost familiar voice answers for you from where it looms over your figure, “Yes, she does,” Blinking in surprise, your voice gets stuck in your throat with your breath when you look over your shoulder and up to find Remus with a menacing look on his face, one that you couldn’t believe he was capable of ever expressing.
“You’re her—”
“I’m her boyfriend.” Remus reaffirms matter-of-factly, and you try to pretend that your face doesn’t feel like it’s suddenly been set on fire as he turns his icy glare from the stranger and onto you. The instant his eyes met yours, Remus was back to his kind and gentle self, with an additional warmth in his gaze as he placed your hot chocolate on the table in front of you. “Here’s your hot chocolate, my love.” He gently presses his nose against your hair and allows his lips to lightly brush against your temple. “I’m sorry it took so long…I had to redo it.” You don’t know what happened—still spiralling from the dreamy scene happening around you—but the creepy man dressed in leather quickly scampers off.
Breathing a heavy sigh, Remus sinks into the unoccupied chair next to you. “Th-thanks for that Rem–” to your embarrassment, despite the justified reaction, you let out a small yelp when the barista in question takes the leg of your seat and pulls you closer, his thighs spread apart so you could be as close as possible. When your head was a few inches from his chin, he dropped his forehead onto your shoulder.
“I’m sorry for making you uncomfortable…”
You wait until your heart rate slows to a normal pace before answering, smiling softly at his considerateness, “I wasn’t uncomfortable at all, not by you at least. Thank you for saving me, Remus.” It was quite adorable how soft he had become, nuzzling into your shoulder to apologise. You couldn’t help but think that he was like an affectionate dog trying to act sweet to express its regret, which you were very weakhearted for. Unable to help yourself, your hand comes up to gently comb through his hair—you can’t believe how soft it is!
“No. I didn’t save you.”
“What do you mean?”
“...You have to deal with me now…”
OUTTAKE :
“Remus was so mean, Jamie! And after the sacrifice I took for him!” Sirius whines as James rolls his eyes and shares an amused look with Lily, who sips at her tea while his arm slings over the back of the sofa behind her. “I was only trying to get him together with his lady! It was a success, but I can’t believe that this is the ‘thanks’ I get! Me! The perfect wingman, but glared at, like I’m some sort of villain!”
“Perfect wingman, more like perfect creep—”
“Not you too, James!” Sirius shouts, the agony rich in his voice and falls back into his loveseat dramatically, as if struck by an arrow, “I can’t believe you would mock my genius acting like that!”
“Get over yourself, Sirius.” Lily comments, hiding her smirk behind the lip of her teacup. “What matters is that Remus is finally with his favourite regular.”
“Yeah~ Get over yourself, Sirius~” James teases mockingly, narrowing his eyes at his friend, still smirking in amusement before he drops the jeering facade. “Moony’s with his lady now, ain’t he? He’ll stop giving you the silent treatment soon enough”
Sirius huffs, arms crossed, “I never get any praise around here! A simple ‘thank you’ would suffice!”

Birthday Present
Summary: poly!marauders x reader, you give Sirius a cute gift
cw: suggestiveness if you squint, general fluff
word count: 1K
Tumblr media
“Ok now open your eyes!” You said excitedly to your boyfriend.
He was covering his eyes with his hands, being led by James and Remus on either side.
This elaborate surprise all started about a month ago. Sirius’s birthday was quickly approaching, the first birthday out of all of you. You knew that you wanted to do something special for him. You knew that he was almost impossible to shop for, he has everything he needs or wants, he is terrible at saving his money and impulsively buys whatever he wants when he sees it.
The few things you knew you could buy for him, James and Remus had already got for him. Remus a few new vinyl records and James a pair of brand new black Converse.
It was you who brainstormed those ideas up and your boyfriends took them right out from under you before you got the chance to go out and buy them yourself. Those assholes. Those absolutely lovely, kind, and caring assholes.
You knew that you had to go in a different direction, then. You also wanted to upstage the two idea thieves slightly, but you wouldn’t admit that out loud.
You then remembered a charm that you could try and teach yourself. You didn’t have long to learn and practice it, especially when all three of your boyfriends were attached at the hip, attached at your hip. You weren’t exactly complaining, you loved them, but you couldn’t exactly practice your surprise in front of the birthday boy and you didn’t trust James and Remus to not ruin the surprise for Sirius.
So that meant sneaking off in the middle of the night most nights, slipping out of the comfort of your boyfriends warm embraces and the soft cozy bed. But you would do it if it meant you could see a smile on Sirius’s face.
So you practiced and practiced all those late nights for this exact moment.
Sirius dropped his hands and opened his eyes. He blinked at you standing in the middle of your shared bedroom. He looked slightly confused.
“Are you my present, love?” he said in a suggestive tone.
You giggled in reply before muttering the complex incantation. Once the last syllable left your lips, the room became lit in a magical glow. The roof appearing to fall away and a universe of stars and planets taking its place.
All three of your boyfriends looked up in awe.
Sirius was the first to step forward, still entranced in the charm. His eyes scanned from point to point, from star to magic star. He smiled, face glowing from the blues and purples being reflected on him by your little trick.
You thought for a moment that maybe you should have gotten him something. This wasn’t a tangible or memorable object that he could have. You waited for a moment before explaining yourself. “Look, I know its not much,” you started, “I just- I thought that I could-”
“This is amazing!” Sirius exclaimed. “I- how did you…” Sirius seemed to be at a loss for words, stepping under the small universe you created.
“This is beautiful,” James spoke up.
“It's incredible,” Remus agreed.
You felt better about the charm now. You thought that maybe your present wasn’t enough, that maybe you could just say this was what you could come up with as a sort of place holder until you could get a real gift. But their reactions, Sirius’s reaction in particular, set your mind at ease.
“Look!” Sirius said joyfully, grabbing Remus’s hand and pulling him to the center of the room. “It's all of us.”
“All of us?” James asked, amused and confused.
Sirius motioned up at the magic ceiling, ponting at the moon “Well, here’s Moony of course,” He pointed out the brightest shining star in the corner of the room, hanging above the bed, “That’s me, the Sirius star,” he then made his way to drag James under the glowing sun. “And here you are.”
You smiled ear to ear. “Yeah, I guess that is all of you.” you said, admiring your work.
“And you.” Sirius said from across the room, still holding James’s hand.
“And me?” you repeated to him, confused.
He crossed the room to where you had planted yourself since the big reveal. He closed the gap and cupped your face in both hands, tilting your head up to look at him. You were met with the glow of his eyes, both from the magic ceiling you had created and from the look of pure love and joy he was giving you. He looked so beautiful.
“You are the galaxy that holds us all together, without you, there would be no reason for us to shine now would there?” You weren’t too sure about his logic, but it was sweet nonetheless. You turned your face to kiss the inside of his palm and smiled at the feeling of his warmth.
Later that night, once all the gifts were given, when you were through with your fancy dinner date, after you all sang happy birthday and sat in your living room to eat the cupcakes you made for Sirius, when you all crawled into bed, Sirius nuzzled closer to you.
His head on your chest, his body almost fully encapsulating your own. You played lightly with the ends of his hair, twirling them softly between your fingers. You heard James and Remus sleeping, breathing long and deep, cozied up with one another.
“Love,” Sirius said softly, as not to wake the other two.
You hummed a response.
“That spell,” He started, “Is it… difficult?”
“Not at all.” you answered him. You had practiced it over and over to the point where you could probably do it in your sleep.
“Well… that’s good.” He said. You got the impression that there was more he wanted to say about it, but had become shy.
“What about it, Siri? You wanna learn it?” You asked. You would gladly teach it to him if he wanted, again, you had practiced it so much you could teach it to him easily.
“No,” He said sleepily, “But could you maybe do it again? Before we go to bed?”
You smiled and whispered the spell. The room lit yet again with the stars and planets. Sirius smiled slightly, eyes taking the whole picture in. You both laid there, under the stars and watched the beautiful night sky, just holding each other and appreciating the beauty before sleep eventually took over you both.

James sighed, fingers twitching in a desperate attempt not to reach out to you, but you needed space, even if it were minimal. He cleared his throat, but still, you refused to meet his eyes. “This is going to sound controversial,” he started, and you raised your gaze up to look at him. Now he was forced to continue. “But I think that went well.” You squinted your eyes at him, scoffing in disagreement. With all the conversations and careful consideration you and James had taken to tell Remus, your protective werewolf brother, that you were dating, of course the truth was bound to come out in the worst way possible.
There was no softening the blow, there was no ‘Me and James have something to tell you’. No, there was just the reveal. You buttoned up the last two buttons of your shirt, shutting your eyes as you remembered the incident.
James had gotten you both distracted; it was his fault. You had insisted that your Potions essay needed finishing and like an idiot, you believed your boyfriend when he told you that you’d focus better in his dorm, where the loud chatter of the common room wouldn’t distract you. Of course, you’d gotten suspicious when he sat on his bed, patting the empty space next to him, but you obliged, oblivious to the way his eyes were instantly attracted to the sliver of skin that was revealed as your skirt rode up. James draped your legs over his, caressing your soft skin as you explained to him all the points you needed to include in your essay.
That was when the first warning sign appeared. James leaned in close to you, pressing a soft kiss on your lips and interrupting the words coming out of your mouth. You smiled sweetly at him, intertwining your fingers with his as you continued speaking. James leaned his head against the headboard, looking at you with so much love and admiration in his eyes, and he couldn’t resist the urge to kiss you again. “James.” A single call of his name was warning enough, but he ignored it. James knew that he wasn’t the only affectionate one in the relationship, and with just enough touch, you wouldn’t be able to resist him.
And he was right.
It only took two other kisses to your neck for you to begin chasing his lips with yours, a hand tightly gripping his shirt. God, were you bad at ignoring him. The shirt wrinkled under your hold and James brought a hand up to cup your cheek, moulding his lips with your parted ones. That’s when you knew you were done for. James’s shirt was off in seconds, leaving him in his trousers and tie, which you tugged on to bring him impossibly closer to you, tongue sliding against his. His large hands were gripping your thighs, using his strength to pull your body atop his, completely ignorant to the door knob turning on the other side of the room as he began unbuttoning your top.
Now, normally you and James weren’t so bold, however Remus had been gone for hours, and you were confident that he’d be gone for even longer. He made his rounds speaking to all his professors about upcoming assignments and catching up on missed lessons from the last full moon. However, when Remus reached Professor McGonagall’s office, he found her halfway out and on the way to the Gryffindor common room to look for Sirius Black. So like anyone would, he decided to walk with her. Discussing Sirius’s owl from home and Remus’s trouble with the newest piece of homework, the pair quickly made their way to the common room. That eradicated more or less half an hour of time for you and James to have the dorm to yourselves, secret kisses on the brink of revelation.
Unfortunately for you, Sirius was nowhere to be found so Remus, ever the gentleman, invited Professor McGonagall up to their dorm to check. The same dorm where his sister was currently making out with one of his best friends. Remus hadn’t seen it coming. Opening the door to the dorm, he only turned to look at what happened when he saw Professor McGonagall’s eyes widen, hearing her mutter “Oh dear” as she turned away from the sight.
Remus was silent, watching you turn on your boyfriend’s lap to look at him standing in the doorway. James had bit his lip to suppress the moan that had surfaced when you moved, but the sound was still heard in the small space. You gasped, rolling off James and desperately buttoning up the first few buttons of your shirt, leaving James to cover his chest with his hands. You didn’t have the heart to laugh at the ridiculous sight, because you not only had your brother caught you making out with his best friend, but so had the school’s deputy headmistress.
“Oh my god, I just showed Professor McGonagall my sister and best friend making out.” Remus cried, slapping a hand on his forehead. “Oh my god, my sister and best friend were making out!” And with that, the door slammed shut. You heard Remus’s hurried footsteps leading him away from the dorm, and probably towards Professor McGonagall, where he’d aimlessly attempt a weak apology before ranting to her about how he didn’t know about you. Slumping down on the bed next to James, you dug your face in your hands. You heard the shuffle of the covers as James sat up next to you, his fingers twitching in a desperate attempt not to reach out to you, but you needed space, even if it were minimal. He cleared his throat, but still, you refused to meet his eyes. “This is going to sound controversial, but I think that went well.”

dad!Remus Lupin x mom!reader
Summary: The quiet cry woke him. Remus approached cautiously, leaning over her. “Hey, my little star, it’s okay. Daddy’s here,” he whispered, his voice so soft it almost got lost in the sound of his breath.
Warnings: fluffy, est. relationship, no use of baby name, no war au, no use of y/n, after hogwarts (obviously)
A/N: just because i couldn't stop thinking about dad!remus
Tumblr media
The quiet cry woke him. It wasn’t a loud or desperate sound, just enough to cut through the silence of the early morning and pierce the few seconds of peace the house seemed to hold. Remus slowly opened his eyes, adjusting to the dimness of the room, and looked at you. You were still fast asleep beside him, your face relaxed, one hand gently resting on the pillow. He stayed still for a moment, contemplating the calm on your face, before carefully getting up. He didn’t want to wake you.
He walked down the hall, his bare feet making almost no sound against the wooden floor. The cry had faded to a low whimper, but it was still there, insistent, as if the baby knew he was coming. Pushing open the slightly ajar door to her room, the soft light from the nightlight revealed the small form in the crib. She squirmed restlessly, tiny fists clenched, her eyes still damp.
Remus approached cautiously, leaning over her. “Hey, my little star, it’s okay. Daddy’s here,” he whispered, his voice so soft it almost got lost in the sound of his breath. With a skill he never imagined he’d have before becoming a father, he lifted her into his arms, holding her with the tenderness she seemed to require, as though she were made of fine glass.
She was so small, so absurdly small, that he always found himself wondering how something so fragile could exist. He adjusted her little body against his chest, feeling her tiny fingers close around one of the folds of his shirt. As he rocked her gently, he looked at her face, the features still so delicate, so full of possibilities. “Do you have any idea how loved you are?” he whispered. “No, of course not. But you are. So much it almost hurts.”
He continued rocking her softly, his large hands contrasting with her little body. Every movement felt like a miracle. He looked at his own hands, marked with old scars, the uneven lines crossing the skin like memories of another life. A life where he never could have imagined being here, in this house, holding his daughter in his arms. “You know, sometimes I still think this is a dream. That I’ll wake up and all of this will just be something I made up to feel less alone.”
He let out a low laugh, almost humorless, but the little one responded with a soft sound, as if trying to talk to him. “Ah, so you are really here, huh?” he said, squeezing her a little tighter against him. “You and your mum… you’ve made everything so real. So much better.”
His thoughts drifted to you, sleeping in the room next door. He remembered so many nights when you simply held him, even when he tried to hide the shadows in his mind. You always seemed to know. Always seemed to understand. “She’s amazing, you know?” he confided in the baby, as if she could understand him. “Your mum. She loves me in a way I never thought possible. And you? You’re proof of that. Proof that I’m not alone anymore.”
The baby began to relax, her little body growing heavier in his arms. He sat in the rocking chair beside the crib, adjusting her so she could rest against him. The room seemed wrapped in a bubble of calm, only the light sound of her breathing and the creak of the chair filling the space.
He looked at her one more time, admiring the fine lashes, the perfect curve of her cheeks. How could someone so small carry so much love? It was almost overwhelming. He leaned in to plant a gentle kiss on her forehead. “You’ll never need to doubt that, you know? How much you are loved. I promise.”
The almost imperceptible sound of the door creaking made him raise his head, his senses still sharp from the restlessness of the days following the full moon. For a moment, his body tensed, but then he saw her. You were there, standing in the doorway, your face softly lit by the light of the nightlight. Your eyes held concern, but also something else—something he recognized, and that made his heart tighten: pure love.
“You should be resting,” you said, your voice soft to not disturb the little one.
He smiled, that smile that always seemed to hold a world of unspoken stories. “And so should you,” he replied, gently rocking the chair while keeping the baby nestled against his chest. “I heard her little cry, and I didn’t want to wake you. You looked so peaceful.”
You moved closer slowly, your eyes fixed on him and the sleeping baby. Each step seemed filled with care, as if you, too, didn’t want to break the magical stillness of the moment. When you reached them, you crouched beside the chair, your hand gently touching his thigh. “Remus…” you began, hesitating but with a voice full of affection. “You’re pushing yourself too hard. It’s been so few days since the last full moon. You need to rest.”
He let out a low laugh, almost inaudible, as he looked at you. “I’m fine,” he said, but the way his eyes darted away for a brief moment gave him away. “Besides, look at her…” He tilted his head to look at the little one in his arms, a soft glow in his eyes. “How could I want to be anywhere else?”
You smiled, but there was a tender weight in your expression. “I heard what you said,” you murmured. He lifted his gaze to you, confused for a moment, until he realized what you were talking about.
“You heard?” he asked, and there was something vulnerable in his voice, something he rarely let show.
You nodded, your eyes beginning to shine with unshed tears. “About how you think this might be a dream… About how you love us. I just want you to know that this is real, Remus. We are real. I am real. And I love you more than anything in this world.”
He didn’t respond immediately. Instead, he leaned a little forward, until their foreheads almost touched. “I know,” he whispered, his voice so full of emotion it barely came out. “It’s just that… sometimes it’s hard to believe. Not because I doubt you, but because I never thought I deserved something like this. You. Her. All of this.”
Your hand reached up to touch his face, your fingers gliding gently over the stubble that was beginning to form. “You do deserve it, Remus. And I’ll remind you of that every day, if I have to.” Your voice was firm, but full of sweetness, as if each word was a caress.
He closed his eyes for a moment, breathing deeply, before opening a small, genuine smile. “You always know what to say, don’t you?”
“Someone has to take care of you, since you insist on taking care of everyone,” you replied, the softness turning into a hint of teasing. He chuckled quietly, and the sound warmed his chest.
“So… do you want to hold her?” he asked, shifting slightly in the chair to lift the baby with care.
You nodded and opened your arms, accepting her as if she were the most precious thing in the world. And, of course, she was. When you held her, she made a soft sound, something between a sigh and a grunt, before snuggling comfortably against you. You looked at her with an expression of pure adoration, your fingers gently stroking her back as she fell back asleep.
Remus watched for a moment, his eyes fixed on you as you rocked the baby with such tenderness that it seemed impossible for it to be anything mundane. It was as if every gesture of yours was a deliberate act of love, something he never failed to notice, even after all this time together. He reached out and adjusted a strand of hair that had fallen across your face, the touch delicate, almost reverent.
You were so close that the space between you seemed to dissolve. He let his arms rest around your body, pulling you gently closer, as if he needed this contact to anchor his own feelings. You leaned against him, the warmth of both of you creating a bubble of comfort around the little one, who was now completely peaceful, nestled in your arms.
For a moment, neither of you said anything. You just looked at her, your faces so close that your breaths mingled. The light from the night lamp bathed the room in a soft glow, making everything even more intimate. The baby moved her little hand, letting out an almost imperceptible sigh, and both of you smiled at the same time, as if it were the most extraordinary thing you had ever witnessed.
Remus tilted his face to the side, his lips brushing lightly against your temple as he whispered, “Thank you.”
The word was so simple, but the weight of it made you close your eyes for a moment, absorbing everything it carried. It wasn’t just a thank you for that moment. It was for everything. For you being there, for her existence, for everything he had never dared believe he could have.
“Why?” you asked softly, turning your face just enough to meet his eyes. There was a soft gleam in them, something that made your heart race even after so many moments like that.
“For this,” he replied, his voice rough with emotion. “For you. For her. For us. I still wonder how I got so lucky… how the universe was generous enough to give me something like this.” He shook his head, as if he couldn’t find the words to express what he felt. “I never imagined I could be this happy. This complete.”
You smiled, leaning in to brush your lips against his in a light kiss, but one full of meaning. “I feel lucky too, you know? Every day. For you, for her, for everything we’ve built together.” Your voice was soft, but every word carried the weight of an unshakable truth.
You stayed like that for a few more minutes, his arms around you, his hands covering yours as you still held the baby. The world outside seemed distant, almost nonexistent. Everything that mattered was right there, in that room.
When the little one finally fell completely asleep, you and Remus exchanged a knowing glance, as if you both knew exactly what to do without needing to say anything. He leaned in to take the baby back with all the care, holding her against his chest while you adjusted the blanket in the crib. Both of your movements were synchronized, a perfect reflection of the partnership you had built.
As he placed her in the crib, he lingered for a second longer, his fingers gently brushing her cheek. He let out a soft sigh before straightening up, passing his arms around you again as you both pulled away.
“I love you both,” he said, his voice low but so full of feeling that it made your eyes burn. You rested your head against his shoulder, your arms around his waist, as if you wanted to hold him as close as possible.
“And we love you, Remus,” you replied, squeezing him a little tighter. “Always.”
You stayed there for a while longer, just enjoying the comfortable silence, each other’s presence, and the little miracle you had before you. Everything felt so right, so perfect in that moment, that neither of you wanted to break the magic.

[ WHEN SIRIUS BOUGHT YOU YOUR FIRST BROOM ]
"Baby, can you come here for a moment?"
You walked out of your room and down the stairs, heading into the living room, where you found your parents sitting on the couch next to each other.
"Am i in trouble?" you asked them shyly.
Remus gave you a smile and reached out to take your hand, sweetly stroking it.
"Of course not darling. We called you to show you something"
"Oh..." you relaxed. "What is it?"
Sirius leaned back to grab something that was hidden behind the couch and you looked at him curiously.
"I got you a gift, sweetheart~" he said and then turned back to you.
When you saw what he was holding in his ringed hands your eyes widened and you couldn't hold back a little excited squeal. You started bouncing on the spot and your parents giggled at your enthusiasm.
"For me??" you asked excitedly, frantically glancing from the broomstick to Sirius' gray eyes. "Is it all mine??"
"All yours, baby" Sirius nodded. "So we can finally play Quidditch together"
Sirius handed you the broom and you took it in your hands, admiring the shiny wood. Then you leaned forward to hug your father, wrapping your arms tightly around his neck and giving him a loud kiss on the cheek.
"Thank you thank you thank you! Thank you so much daddy, i love you so much!"
Sirius hugged you back and placed a kiss on your head, rubbing your back. "You're welcome, puppy. But hey, you have to say thank you to Dad too, because we decided together to buy your broom"
You quickly hugged Remus too, giving him the same kiss you gave Sirius and thanking him too. "Thank you so much dad"
"You're welcome, my love. And please..." Remus said, pulling away from you to look into your eyes. "Treat this broom well because it didn't cost Daddy cheap, okay?"
"Of course! I solemnly swear i'll treat it as best as i can!" you nodded frantically. "I can't wait to show it to Harry!"
"I'm sure he and Uncle James will be super jealous of your broom" Sirius chuckled, then stood up with his hands on his knees. "Now how about we go out and try for a fly?"
And you run outside without even waiting for him, while Sirius followed you looking at you tenderly. There was no greater satisfaction for a father than giving a gift to his daughter and making her so happy.

[ WHEN YOU AND REMUS READ TOGETHER, HIM SAT ON YOUR BED WITH HIS LEGS CROSSED AND YOU BETWEEN HIS THIGHS, WITH YOUR BACK RESTING ON HIS FRONT ]
"How do you read this word?" you asked, pointing with a finger on the page to a word that seemed very long to you.
"Stepsisters, darling" he replied. "It means they're not Cinderella's real sisters"
"Why?"
"Because Cinderella's father married another woman who already had two daughters. Because his wife, Cinderella's mother, was no longer here"
You nodded silently, sad that Cinderella's mother was gone. Remus smiled and went back to reading the story. "Cinderella's stepsisters were very vain-"
"Dad, what does vain mean?"
Remus froze again when he saw you tilt your head back against his chest so you could look him in the eyes and he smiled at you.
The best part of reading with you was teaching you the meaning of new words. You were at that age where you had to depend on him and Sirius and when you needed something you always ran to them. It was something that would always make him proud in his heart.
"A vain person is a person who wants to show off to be admired by others"
"Ohhh" you mumbled, happy to have learned a new word. "Like Dad and Uncle James?"
Remus burst out laughing, taken aback by your words and you looked at him in confusion.
"It's true sweetheart, Dad and Uncle James are a bit vain" he said, at the end of his laugh. "But don't tell them, okay?"
"Okay"
You went back to calmly looking at the pages of the open book that Remus held in his hands while he continued to read that famous Muggle fairy tale to you.
Tumblr media
[ WHEN YOU COLORED SIRIUS' TATTOOS ]
"Hold still Daddy!"
"Sorry puppy" Sirius chuckled. "You're tickling me"
You ignored him, continuing to color one of the many tattoos that decorated his chest as you sat on his stomach.
"You know Dad will never let me get into bed all colored like this, right?" Sirius then asked teasingly. "I'll tell him it's your fault"
But you just shrugged, stopping your work to look at him with an innocent smile. "You can sleep with me in my bed if he doesn't want you. I don't mind"
Sirius smiled back and, holding himself up on his elbows, leaned forward to give you a kiss on the forehead.
"Aw thanks my love, i appreciate the offer but if i stain your bed Dad would definitely kill me, you know him"
You pouted a little and lowered your head to start coloring his tattoo again.
"You have so many tattoos..." you noted, not taking your eyes off his skin. "Does Dad have them too?"
"He has some, but not as many as me"
"Do you think he'll let me color his tattoos?" you looked at him for a few seconds with hopeful eyes and Sirius chuckled.
"He rarely lets me color them, but if you ask him i'm sure he won't mind, trust me"
"I can't wait to ask him!" you blurted excitedly. "Daddy can you lie on your stomach now so i can color the tattoos on your back too?"
And Sirius obeyed without protest.

[ WHEN REMUS COMBED AND STYLED YOUR HAIR ]
"Dad! Dad! Dad!"
Both Remus and Sirius shifted their gazes from each other to you, who excitedly entered the kitchen running to the former and take his hand in yours.
"What is it my darling girl?" he asked you without hesitation.
"Can you braid my hair please??" you pleaded in turn, looking at him with your big bright eyes, while your small hands unconsciously played with his long tapered fingers. "I want to have braids before Harry comes to play!"
"Aw, do you want to make yourself pretty for Harry, my love?" Sirius interjected this time with a smirk.
You chuckled and shook your head. "Nooo Daddy. It's much more convenient to have braids when we play, so my hair doesn't bother me" you answered in a tone that seemed to say "Wasn't it obvious?".
Remus stroked your fingers with his thumb.
"Are you sure you don't want Daddy to braid your hair?" he asked and you shook your head again without hesitation.
"I like it better when you do it for me. You're better than Daddy at braiding, almost like Aunt Lily and Aunt Dorcas"
Sirius slumped back against the back of his chair, clutching his chest with a mock grimace of pain. "Agh! You're breaking my heart over here baby! It's not fair!"
You and Remus both laughed then he stood up, starting to walk towards your bedroom and you let go of his hand to get ahead of him. When he entered your room he saw you already sitting in the middle of your bed with your colored comb in your hand, waiting impatiently for him.
Your father climbed onto the bed to sit behind you and after you handed him the comb, you didn't waste time moving back to sit between his crossed legs. And once you were comfortable he began to gently comb your hair.
He always did it to get out all the knots possible before braiding your hair and combing it was something that both you and him found very relaxing and above all intimate. Remus's hands were always soft and delicate when they touched your hair and he always made an effort to be able to create the hairstyle you wanted.
After he finished combing your hair, Remus took off one of the two colored hair ties he always wore on his wrist, (since he kept them for every time you asked him to tie your hair up) and tied your hair on one side of your head, so he could start making the first braid from the other.
"Dad?" you called out to him suddenly.
"Mh?"
"Can you teach me how to braid someday, please? So i can do it for Daddy too~"
Remus leaned forward to leave a kiss on the back of your head.
"Sure thing sweetheart"

[ WHEN YOU AND SIRIUS DANCED TOGETHER ]
"Are you ready?" Sirius asked you and you slowly nodded.
He held out both hands to you with a smile and when you placed your small ones in his palm, you felt his body heat wrap around your fingers.
"Remember what we learned, okay?" he asked you again.
You and he both glanced at Regulus who was sitting at the family piano and looking at you expectantly, while Remus was doing the same thing while sitting in the armchair. Sirius nodded and his brother took the cue to start playing.
The sweet, delicate melody filled the room within seconds and you quickly raised your head towards your father, waiting for him to begin. Sirius nodded with an encouraging smile and then began to move across the floor, grasping your hands and dragging you with him.
Sirius had his gaze fixed on you, but your eyes were glued to your feet, trying to move in the same rhythm as your father's. And your concentration on the music was disturbed by the constant fear of stepping on his toes (which happened practically every time the two of you tried dancing).
"It's okay puppy" Sirius murmured, not caring about your little mistakes in movements. "Just follow me"
"I-I don't want to step on you" you retorted, lifting your head to look at him awkwardly.
"You're a child, my love. I certainly don't expect you to be a perfect dancer already, otherwise we wouldn't have trained together, would we?" Sirius continued with a small chuckle and both Remus and Regulus smiled in amusement as well.
"I know, but... But..." you lowered your head back to your shoes.
Sirius let go of one of your hands to gesture to Regulus, telling him to stop playing. Both you and Sirius stopped and he crouched down on his legs so he could look into your eyes, which had become shiny.
"Baby" he cooed, reaching up to your face to stroke your cheek. "It's alright, hey..."
"I want to be as good as you" you murmured, a couple of lone tears falling from your eyes.
Sirius stuck out his bottom lip, reading the disappointment filling your large eyes.
Of course he didn't care how many times you stepped on his toes, he didn't care how long it took him to teach you how to dance and he didn't care if you were actually good at it or not. But everyone knew that you adored your parents and you worshipped the ground they walked on from the first moment you were able to. You wanted to do nothing but be like them and be the perfect daughter of your perfect family.
Sirius and Remus exchanged a pitying look and the former looked back at you.
"Okay" he said.
You sniffed and watched him smile at you.
"I have an idea. But first" he continued, reaching into his pocket and pulling out a handkerchief. "I want you to wipe away those silly tears okay?"
You nodded and closed your eyes so Sirius could run the cloth along your cheeks and under your eyes, wiping the tears from your face. Once done, he put the handkerchief back in his pocket but before you could ask him what he wanted to do, he stood up and clasped your hands in his again.
"Now i want you to put your feet on top of mine"
You looked at him confused and surprised at the same time.
"But i'll get your shoes dirty"
Your father smiled at you. "Baby, i'm rich. I can get five more pairs of these shoes, i don't care if you get them dirty. Now hop on in"
Before doing as he told you, you turned to look at your other father, who nodded at you with a smile. So, albeit with hesitation, you placed one foot after the other on Sirius', who made you come closer to him by pulling your hands.
Then Sirius turned to his brother.
"Reggie" he only said with a nod.
Regulus began playing the piano again and the music filled the room again. Sirius began to move again and as his feet slid along the floor, yours followed step for step, never once making a mistake.
Your eyes widened, lifting your head to look back at your father with a smile. "This is perfect!"
Sirius didn't say anything, he just smiled back and continued dancing, delicately, so as not to make you fall. He was sure that you would've learnt to dance like him one day and maybe even became better than him.
Tumblr media
[ WHEN YOU COOKED WITH REMUS ]
"Why do you never let me cut the ingredients?" you asked, looking at Remus.
"Because if you cut off your fingertip then you'll have to eat it for dinner and we don't want that, do we darling?"
Remus turned his head to look at you when he heard your silence and smiled amused when he saw your wide eyes looking at him almost shocked.
"I'm just kidding, sweetheart" he chuckled, placing a hand on your head. Being around Sirius too long had taught him to use his sarcasm. "We just don't want you to get hurt. When you get older you will use the big knife like i do"
You let out a small huff, crossing your arms and muttering an "Okay" as you both headed towards the kitchen.
While your father took everything he needed from the drawers and shelves, you looked at him impatiently, looking forward to preparing food with him (another of the activities you liked to do in his company). Then he looked at you with his hands on his hips.
"Hands?"
"Washed" you dutifully replied, holding both palms out towards him.
"Apron?"
"On" and you made a little spin, showing him your personalized apron that you were wearing.
"Knives?"
"Only in Dad's hands"
Remus smiled giving you a quick kiss on the head. "My good girl. And now let's make dinner"
"Yes!"
About half an hour later, when Sirius entered the house he immediately felt a nice spicy scent invade his nostrils, accompanied by your and Remus' voices coming from the kitchen.
"Who wants to mix?"
"Me me! Please, let me do it!"
Sirius went to the kitchen and couldn't stop the smile from growing on his lips when he saw you kneeling on a chair, intent on mixing what was inside a bowl with a wooden spoon that you held in both hands, while behind you his husband whispered to you to do it gently, so as not to dirty the table.
"What good stuff are you two cooking up?" Sirius asked aloud as he stepped in.
You immediately lifted your head from your work to greet him with a wide smile.
"Hi Daddy! We're making a new sauce for tonight's pasta"
Sirius came over to lean down and give you a loud kiss on the cheek. "Looks delicious, my love" he said, lowering to look at what filled the bowl. "Do you think i can give it a taste?"
You nodded frantically.
"Of course! Here!"
You handed him the wood spoon full of sauce you were using to stir, but Remus' voice spoke up this time.
"Sweetheart"
You turned to look at him.
"Not with that one" he said as he handed you a coffee spoon.
"Oh. Sorry hehe" you giggled sheepishly, noticing his knowing look.
You took the spoon from his hands and dipped it in the sauce, then raised it towards Sirius' face to fed him.
"Mmh~ It's delicious puppy, like everything you cook for me" he said with a proud expression. "Did you make this?"
You nodded. "Yes. I mean, i helped Dad. I did a lot of things but i didn't cut anything because i didn't want any of us to eat my fingertip if i cut it off"
At those words Sirius furrowed his eyebrows with a bewildered grimace and glanced at Remus, who was chuckling.
"She's the best chef, don't you think?"
Tumblr media
[ WHEN YOU AND PADFOOT PLAYED TOGETHER ]
Remus appeared in the doorway, hearing laughter and high-pitched squeals coming from the garden, and he smiled tenderly when he saw you chasing Padfoot around in circles, while he ran away from you, barking like crazy and wagging his bushy tail. You were both so joyful and carefree, it was such a beautiful scene.
Suddenly though, Remus saw that Sirius turned towards you and stood up on his back legs so he could come at you, before dropping you both to the ground, with him on top of you.
"Sirius!" Remus warned, making the dog raise his head and look at him in surprise. "Be more gentle!"
Padfoot's ears drooped in repentance and when Remus was about to ask if you were okay, you beat him to it.
"Daaad!" you called out to him with a wide smile, moving your hand to invite him to join you. "Come play with us??"
Remus let out a breath and smiled again, softly shaking his head. "No thank you sweetheart, i have to do some things to do first. You two just don't get hurt, okay?" he asked and both you and Sirius looked at him nodding excitedly.
"Okay!"
Sirius turned his face towards you so he could rub his wet nose against your cheek and you laughed loudly. Then he started licking all over your face and you tried to move away. "No Daddy! Please!"
You and Sirius rolled on the grass, laughing and barking, and Remus went back into the house with an amused sigh, knowing that both you and his husband wouldn't be very happy at the idea of a nice scented bath.
About an hour later, when Remus headed outside again to see what you and Sirius were doing, even before he opened the door he realized that there were no longer your squeals or Padfoot's barks ringing out in the air. In fact neither you nor your father were playing around in the grass anymore.
But then Remus' eyes fell on a scene a little further away from him that although it was nothing new in the Lupin-Black home, still never failed to make his heart swell with tenderness.
Curled up on the grass at the base of a tree trunk, Sirius, or rather Padfoot, dozed deeply while snoring (which he also did in human form), while your smaller figure lay curled against his side, sleeping as blissfully as he did. Remus wasn't surprised to notice how Sirius' tail curved towards your small body, trying to cover it in a somewhat protective position. And while his big muzzle blew from his nose on your legs, you held his soft dark fur in your hands as if it were the blanket on your bed.
Remus knew you would never care if Sirius' fur smelled or was dirty with grass and mud. Neither of you would ever pass up a (absolutely adorable in Remus' eyes) father-daughter nap.
Tumblr media
[ WHEN YOU CUDDLED WITH REMUS AFTER THE FULL MOON ]
Knock Knock.
The door to the master bedroom opened and Remus smiled faintly when he saw your and Sirius' faces peek out from behind the door.
"Hey handsome. How are you feeling?" Sirius asked with a smile. "Someone here was a little worried about her Dad"
Sirius urged you into the room with a palm resting on your back and you slowly advanced towards their bed. Remus tried to sit up and managed to do it with difficulty, remaining half-lying with his back on two pillows against the headboard of the bed.
"Aw honey" he tiredly murmured. "We always tell you that you don't have to worry about me"
You raised your head to look at him with an uncertain look, unable to stop yourself from looking at his thin, bare torso covered in wounds.
"I know but..." you softly replied, squeezing your hands together. "I don't like to see your body full of scratches, Dad"
Remus and Sirius exchanged a look over your head and while the former looked at his husband with his usual look of disappointment and regret for all the pain he caused his family, Sirius gave him a smile of encouragement, as he always did when Remus became insecure.
So Remus let out a heavy breath and patting the blankets with his palm he invited you to get on the bed.
"Come here darling, come on"
You didn't have to be told twice and you jumped on the bed, climbing over his long legs and sitting next to him, on the side where Sirius slept. Remus raised a hand to caress your cheek with his thumb and you covered his hand with both of your smaller ones.
"Do they hurt a lot?" you muttered with worried eyes.
Remus realized that you were still referring to the scratches and all the wounds that decorated his body and he smiled and shook his head.
"Just a little. But i'm used to it, don't worry about me"
You nodded slowly and remained silent for a few seconds thinking about something, until you looked back at him.
"Dad?"
"Yes lovie?"
"Can i give you a hug? I promise i won't hurt you"
Remus felt his heart swell and looked at you tenderly. "I know you will never hurt me, my darling girl. You can give me all the hugs you want"
Finally he saw you smile slightly and without saying anything you leaned forward and curled up on his side, with your head on his shoulder. Remus wrapped his arm around your body, pulling you close and placed a couple of kisses on your head, delicately stroking your back with his fingertips.
Sirius leaned down to kiss you on the forehead before kissing Remus on the lips.
"I'll make you some hot tea. I'll leave you two alone" he whispered softly, moving his sandy hair from his forehead. Remus nodded, thanking him and watching him leave the room.
So you and your father remained on the bed, enjoying his sweet touches and occasionally listeningn to him talking about stories and funny moments to make the atmosphere more peaceful.
Holding you in his arms and filling you with cuddles was what Remus loved to do most in the world.
Tumblr media
These were just some of the favorite moments of their life with you that Sirius and Remus would always hold in their memories. But for you, every second spent with them became a precious memory that you would've always held close to your heart. Unaware of the fact that you would've missed all of this even more after losing them both forever.

First Kiss - Remus Lupin
Tumblr media
₊‧⁺˖⋆ Masterlist ⋆˖⁺‧₊
Summary: Sirius, James, and Peter tease Remus about his lack of a first kiss.
⋆˖⁺‧₊☽◯☾₊‧⁺˖⋆
The Marauders’ dorm was a hub of noise and laughter that night, with Sirius sprawled out on his bed, proudly recounting his latest adventure with a girl he’d met in Herbology. He stretched his arms out with a smug smile. “Absolutely couldn’t keep her hands off me,” he said, punctuating the sentence with a wink. “Who could, right?”
James, perched on the edge of his bed, raised an eyebrow but couldn’t keep from laughing. “Right, because obviously, you’re the irresistible Sirius Black. Never mind your terrible reputation.”
Sirius rolled his eyes, crossing his arms. “At least I’m doing something about my love life, unlike some people here,” he said, nodding toward James. “Speaking of—how’s it going with Evans?”
James grinned, his eyes brightening. “Actually, better than usual,” he said, a bit bashfully. “Last time I asked her out, she didn’t seem nearly as annoyed. Progress, right?”
Sirius clapped his hands together in a grand show of celebration. “It’s happening! Lily Evans is finally seeing the charm of our dear Prongs!”
Remus, sitting off to the side with a book in hand, did his best to block out the conversation, though his lips twitched into a faint smile. He turned the page, not really reading it, but it was better than participating in the banter. Maybe, if he was quiet enough, they’d forget he was there.
But, of course, they didn’t.
Sirius smirked as he turned to Remus. “What about you, Moony? Got any secret admirers you’re hiding from us?”
Remus shrugged without looking up. “No,” he said simply, his eyes stubbornly fixed on the book in front of him, even though he hadn’t comprehended a single sentence since Sirius started talking.
James leaned back, resting on his hands, and squinted at Remus with a skeptical grin. “I bet you haven’t even had your first kiss yet, have you?”
Remus felt the tips of his ears go warm. “What does that have to do with anything?”
Peter let out a small, surprised gasp. “Wait, really? Remus, you haven’t?”
Remus gritted his teeth, shrinking back slightly as all eyes in the room turned to him. “Yes, really. So what?” he said, bristling defensively. He sank lower into his chair, feeling the familiar urge to just vanish.
James held up his hands in a calming gesture. “Nothing wrong with that! It’s… noble, even,” he said, nodding. “I’m waiting for mine, too. For Lily.” He leaned back with a dreamy look on his face, as if he could see her there in front of him, and Remus had to bite back a chuckle.
But Sirius wasn’t about to let it go. With a mischievous grin, he jumped to his feet and swaggered over to Remus, leaning close. “You know, Moony,” he whispered conspiratorially, “I could help you out. Want me to teach you how to kiss?”
Remus’s eyes widened, and he tried to pull back, clutching his book tightly to his chest. “What? No, stop that!” he stammered, face burning. “I know how to kiss. I’ve read books!”
But Sirius was undeterred, moving even closer and pursing his lips in a ridiculous kissy face. “Oh really? The books taught you, did they?”
Remus flinched, scrambling back as much as he could while stuck on the bed, his face turning an even deeper shade of red. Sirius was nearly nose-to-nose with him when the door creaked open, and a voice interrupted their antics.
“Um…” You paused in the doorway, eyebrows raised as you took in the scene. “Should I come back later?”
Remus jerked upright so quickly he almost fell off the bed. He shot Sirius a warning look and quickly scrambled away from him, trying to salvage whatever dignity he had left. “No! No, you don’t have to leave,” he said, still looking as flustered as ever. “Stay. Please.”
You glanced between them, an amused smile on your face as you walked over. “What’s going on?”
Remus coughed, his gaze shifting to the floor. “Nothing. Absolutely no—” He could only hope you wouldn’t ask any more questions.
But, of course, Peter piped up. “We were just talking about how Remus hasn’t had his first kiss yet,” he said with a cheerful grin, clearly oblivious to Remus’s mortification.
Remus shot him a look, but the damage was done. He glanced at you, his cheeks going pink all over again. He hadn’t wanted you to hear about it, of all people. If he’d felt embarrassed before, now he was ready to crawl under his bed and never come out.
“It’s not a big deal,” he muttered, clutching his book like a lifeline. “I was just going to go somewhere quiet to read. A place where they don’t talk about my… kissing experience,” he added, shooting a pointed look at his friends.
Without waiting for a reply, Remus turned and made his way out of the dorm room, his heart pounding in his chest. He was halfway down the corridor when he heard footsteps following him. He slowed down and turned to see you jogging to catch up, your face softened with concern.
“Hey, Remus,” you said gently when you reached him, looking him in the eyes. “Is it true? You haven’t, um…?”
Remus sighed, pressing his lips together. He’d never thought about his inexperience much before, but now it felt like a glaring flaw. “Yeah, it’s true,” he admitted, his voice barely more than a mumble. “It’s a bit pathetic, really, isn’t it? Everyone else—Sirius, James—they’re all so confident, and I’m just…” He trailed off, letting out a frustrated sigh.
You reached out, your hand resting on his arm, stopping him in his tracks. “I don’t think it’s pathetic at all. It’s kind of sweet, actually.” Then, with a small, knowing smile, you leaned in and pressed a soft, quick kiss to his lips.
It was so brief that Remus barely had time to process it, but when you pulled back, he was frozen in place, staring at you with wide eyes and a stunned expression. His cheeks went a brilliant shade of red, and he swallowed, completely speechless.
“There,” you said softly, smiling up at him. “Now you don’t have to be embarrassed about it.”
The sound of voices suddenly broke the quiet, and the two of you turned back to see James and Sirius shouting about something from inside the room. You chuckled, rolling your eyes. “I should probably go check on them before they tear the place apart. You go enjoy your book, alright?”
With a final, reassuring smile, you turned and walked back to the dorm, leaving Remus standing alone in the hallway, still clutching his book and staring after you, completely dazed.
He finally looked down at the page in his book, a foolish grin tugging at his lips. He knew that focusing on reading was going to be utterly impossible.

Hi! Can I please request a poly!Marauders x reader where the reader has a secret admirer? The reader is receiving anonymous gifts and letters, making the boys anxious and jealous. If not, it's okay! Thank you, author-san!
omg i love this! thank you so much, baby, hope this is okay! gn!reader x poly!marauders
cw: jealousy and possessiveness, borderline harassment and stalking, hickey
1.1k words
You groaned loudly when you opened the front door only to be greeted by yet another bouquet of flowers. You begrudgingly brought the arrangement into the house, setting it on the countertop.
"Again? That’s like the third this week, and it’s only Wednesday." Sirius said, exasperated and (almost) as annoyed as you.
"Fifth, actually." You hated that you were complaining, you knew you were technically very lucky to receive all these gifts, it was just distressing. And to be frank, getting very old.
"Christ, this person is thirsty." Sirius’ voice was strained, clearly more anxious than he was wanting to let on.
"At least it seems they don’t have much of a chance, anyone worth their salt knows that you hate roses, angel." James said, between mouthfuls of his sandwich.
"I know," You cringed. "Who should I give these to this time? Lily has enough flowers to open a shop" You rolled your eyes. "Speaking of," You reached into your work bag and pulled out two boxes. "There were chocolates at my work when I got there yesterday, and a pair of earrings on monday." You walked over to where Remus and Sirius were cuddled on the couch.
“Geez, dove. Are we gonna have to step up our game?” Remus said, voice tinged with jealousy.
"No, this person needs to step down. Or at least give me a return address or something. All the notes say is ‘from someone who appreciates you, xx.’ It’s actually kind of distressing." You handed the smaller box of earrings to Sirius, "Are these your style, honey?"
"What? You don’t want them?" He sounded surprised. Of course you didn’t! Why would you need presents from a random person when you have three boys who give you all the love you could ever need? (and in the way you like it)
"No, I would feel weird wearing them." You cringed, handing the larger box to Remus. "You can have these, I don’t even like cherry chocolate." Remus took the box like it was filled with poison, a disgusted tilt to his lips, just as Sirius dramatically dropped the jewelry box onto the coffee table.
"I don’t know whose grubby paws have been on this box." He sneered. You rolled your eyes at his dramatics, looking over to James who was still in the kitchen. He had set his sandwich down and was looking like a kicked puppy. It made your heart crack.
"Jamie, what’s wrong baby? Come here." You beckoned him over. He rushed to your side, placing his hand protectively on your shoulder and gripping you tight. You looked at your other two boyfriends, Remus’ jaw was clenched tight and Srius was still looking at the box and scowling.
"I jus’ don’t like it." James said from your side, his voice was small like a child's.
"Wait, hold on," You said, "Are you all actually worried about this?"
"Define ‘worried’ lovely," Remus said, his voice an awful mix of venomous and depressed. “I don’t think any of us like knowing there’s someone out there fighting for your affections.” His eyes had an angry glint to them.
“Guys,” You said, your heart only breaking further. “You have nothing to be worried about, okay?” James’ grip tightened on you. “There is absolutely no competition here, I’m not even giving these the time of day. I don’t want anything to do with the gifts or the person sending them.”
“But you would if we weren’t in the picture.” Sirius said quietly, all too insecure for your liking. You wormed your way out of James’ grasp, resulting in a whine being pulled from his throat, to crouch in front of Sirius. You grabbed his pretty face in your hands, looking into his sad eyes.
“No, I wouldn’t. I’m not impressed by these gifts.” You took a deep breath, not wanting to confess the next part and worry your boyfriends worse. “They actually kind of scare me.” You admitted, making all their eyes snap to you.
“Scared? Of what, darlin’?” James piped up.
“I just,” You cringed. “I don’t like knowing that there is someone this obsessed with me and I don’t know who they are. And that they know where I live and where I work. I mean, who knows how much they know?”
“Well now I feel like an arse.” Sirius grabbed you from the floor and hauled you onto the couch with him and Remus, wrapping himself tightly around you. “Here I was thinking this person was gonna get you away from us, not knowing they were worrying you.”
“You’re not, I promise!” You reassured. “Honestly, if there was someone doing all this for you three I would be really jealous too.” You placed a hand on two of your boyfriends’ thighs, looking over at James, who was still sulking, now sitting on the coffee table in front of you. “But I can assure you, even if I found out who this person was, they, and no one else, would be able to take me from you three. You aren’t getting rid of me that easy. Besides, I don’t like stalkers.” You joked.
Remus pulled you closer to him, gentle but still much more aggressive than usual. Your other two boyfriends had settled, but he was still heated.
“Remmy,” You turned to face him. “I promise, you have nothing to worry about.”
“I know,” He grunted, burying his face into your neck. You wanted to shrink at the ticklish feeling but you allowed him to stay there, knowing he needed it. Remus had a jealous streak, perhaps the most of all your boyfriends. James and Sirius were more subtle in their protectiveness, but Remus started marking you all like a wolf anytime someone let their gaze linger too long. You buried your fingers in his hair and scratched his scalp, trying to relax him.
“As soon as I find out who this is I will get them to stop, I promise.” You said vehemently. You looked guiltily at all your boyfriends, “I’m sorry this is happening, it isn’t fair to you all.”
“It’s not your fault, dolly.” Sirius placed his hand on your back. “You don’t have anything to be sorry for, you aren’t asking for this.” You were about to hug him, but Remus held fast around your waist, you started to protest, but you felt Remus’ lips latch to a spot on your neck, nibbling and sucking hard enough to sting, but not hurt. The sound you let out was half giggle and half moan.
“Christ, Moons!” James barked, “You trying to brand them or something?” The three of you started giggling like children. Remus released your skin from his teeth, observing the red and purple splotch that was left in his wake.
“Gotta make sure they know what’s mine.” He said, possessively. “Don’t worry," His eyes glinted furiously at your two other boyfriends, "you two are next.”

they both fancy each other but neither of them think the other thinks the same. he walks her back to gryf tower snd he finally says what he’s wanted to say for years
(i hope that makes sense and if ya hate the idea, no problemo lol)
xoxo
Hii lovely🥰 ty for the request. I tried my best, hope this is okay. Warnings: fluff, use of y/n, like one swear word, (0.9k)
Remus has seen you many times before. Either in the common room, halls, dining room, and the most in the library.
Remus always sees you in the library. Sitting quietly more at the back of the room. Either reading some book or doing the assignments for the classes.
So it's no surprise to see you here even now. But it definitely catches him off guard seeing you here so so late. Remus was on the last one of his prefect rounds before heading to bed himself, and he wasn't expecting to see you in the library.
Remus, from a shorter distance, notices that you are asleep. Softly exhaling one breath after another. Something stirs in Remus's heart at the sight of you, but he ignores it.
Remus approaches you, and tries to wake you up as nicely as he can. He doesn't want to scare you. He gently shakes you by your shoulder, and whispers your name a few times.
You rouse from sleep, blinking,  completely baffled by Remus's handsome face.
Remus thinks you are even more cute when you are half asleep. It's not doing any favors to his feelings for you. But he wills those thoughts away, and says, "sorry, y/n. You fell asleep in the library, and it's getting pretty late."
The sleep haze quickly dissappears when you realise where you are. You are up on your feet in a matter of seconds, packing your things away.
"Shit. I'm sorry. I was reading, and-and I must have fallen asleep," you explain in a mild panic. You would be in a lot of trouble if it was anybody else other than Remus that had found you here. Students aren't allowed out of their dorms this late at night.
"It's alright," Remus reassures you with a warm smile," I've done that so many times. I can't even count how many times James or Sirius had to walk down here to retrieve me."
"Really?" you giggle quietly, still very much sleepy and a little stressed.
"Yeah, really," Remus chuckles, too. "Now c'mon, let's get you to your dorm. I'll walk you there. Well, that is if you don't mind."
You shake your head. Indicating that you don't mind at all. Your cheeks go pretty pink as Remus and you start to walk towards the dorms.
You've always thought that Remus was so handsome, and so so smart. You'd never done anything about your crush, of course. Too scared to say anything. But that doesn't mean you haven't been admiring him. You have just-........from afar.
"Why were you in the library so late?" Remus asks to fill in the awkward quiet between you. And also he's a bit worried about you staying there until so late.
"Just studying, I couldn't figure out one assignment," you sigh. You still haven't figured it out, even if you stayed in the library for so many hours.
"The one for the potions?"
"Yeah," you admit in defeat," I've read everything I possibly could, but still i didn't find the answer."
Remus gives you a hesitant smile. You two are just a few steps from the dorms. You were walking too long in the awkward silence, and now the flowing conversation is about to end.
"I can give you the answer. I'll give it to you right away if you give me a second to look for it in my room," Remus instantly offers.
He's spent good few hours trying to find the answer too, so he understands how frustrating it can get. So he's very willing to give you the answer just so you don't go to bed with that on your mind. And also because he likes you, like a lot, and he would give you literally anything if you'd asked for it. He's down that bad for you.
"Really? I would really appreciate it, Remus," you say, happy about his help. You can't even think of how you could possibly thank him for it.
"Just give me a second," he turns towards his dorm, but he suddenly freezes halfway to the door.
Remus abruptly gets a better idea or well it depends on how well it goes. He just can't help his feelings for you any longer, and he needs to know what you feel, too. Even if he may get rejected, and end up with a broken heart.
Remus slowly turns around to face you again, a shy smile on his face.
"Or-r," he starts," we could go to Hogsmeade during the weekend, and I could explain it to you there. With something nice to eat and drink." Remus blurts it out in one breath.
Your eyes go very wide. Is Remus Lupin asking you out on a date or are you still very much asleep in the library, dreaming of this moment?
"L-like a date?" you sheepishly ask, blushing, and looking everywhere but him after your question.
"Yes. Exactly like a date." Remus states, looking nervous and hopeful at the same time.
You look up at him with a smile, you can't really believe that this is happening, " I think, I'd love that."
"Really?" Remus questions happily.
"Yes, really," you nod your head, sending a reassuring smile his way.
"Great. I can't wait," he tells you with a visible excitement.
"Me too," you admit bashfully.
"Well, I'll see you tomorrow. We can sort out the time then. Goodnight, y/n," Remus says, giving you one more soft smile of his.
"Yes, tomorrow then. Goodnight to you too, Remus," you wave him goodbye, and quickly dissappear into your dorm before you can collapse on the spot from the way your legs have turned to jello.
You think you can hear pretty loud cheers of the Marauders as you head to change into your pyjamas. A shy giggle escapes your mouth when you think about Remus telling his best mates about your date, and them being so happy about it.

remus x shy!reader
author: sj
warnings: fluff; reader is in hufflepuff; not edited lol
let me know if you want a part 2 cause i love writing for remus rn
masterlist
part 2 / part 3 / part 4 / part 5
---
you shared a lot of classes with the marauders. you weren’t even sure they knew your name. but even though you thought they didn’t know you, there was one marauder who always noticed you. remus could spot you in a crowd of one hundred. his eyes always searching for a yellow tie and your h/c hair. he thought you were so smart and always watched you take notes in every class admiring how focused you were on your studies. to be honest, that’s one of the reasons he always went to the library to study, he knew you’d be in there as well.
james had noticed this little thing remus had for you as early at 3rd year. he watched remus silently watch the hufflepuff girl with h/c hair. he didn’t try to intervene until they were older, still watching him pine over the same girl that had remus’ attention. he didn’t really know what to do so he told sirius and of course he knew exactly what to do.
you were sitting in potions after class had ended, classmates filtering out and gathering your things when someone came up to you and started talking to you. low and behold it was sirius.
“hey! i’m sirius” he said, shoving his hand towards you. you nodded, waking yourself out of shock that a marauder was introducing himself to you like they weren’t the talk of the school.
“y/n.” you replied, shaking his hand.
“great. my friend remus, you know remus right? tall, lanky, always holding a book, he’s sick and is always draining on and on about how smart you are so i thought i’d ask you for notes for him. id give him mine but i didn’t take any.” you cheeks turned red at the idea of them talking about you, much less remus thinking that you were smart.
“um. yeah. i can do that, let me copy them onto another piece of parchment and then you can take them to him.”
“perfect! come by the gryffindor common room anytime tonight and we’ll be there!”
when you finished up copying the notes that night, you stopped by the gryffindor common room to drop off the notes. you didn't have the password so knocking on the portrait would have to do. you stepped back and the door swung open to reveal sirius giving you and oddly big grin.
"come on in, love! so lovely of you to drop these notes off for poor remus." he ushered you inside and you stepped through looking around the room. you quickly found the rest of the marauders sitting by the fireplace, james, peter, and a tired looking remus. his eyes widened when you walked through the door, instantly shooting to james and peter and back to you.
"had a surprise for you remus. i know how much you love your notes, so i thought i'd ask for some from the master herself." sirius said, pushing you towards the group. your cheeks burned as you dug through your bag on you shoulder to find your copy of notes for him. you finally found them and took a few steps forward to remus who was sitting up straighter as you got closer.
"here you go. i just copied them from the notes that i took today. i hope they're good enough. i'm not sure what your normal style is that you're used to so i this helps." you said in a rush, looking down at your notes. you extended them towards the boy sitting by the fire. he reached for them.
"thank you so much y/n! you really didn't have to do this. did sirius make you any threats or force you do this?" he asked, lowering his voice slightly. you lightly laughed as a shocked sirius gasped and muttered some words you couldn't understand.
"no, no. i promise i did this of my own free will." you said, glancing up at his eyes. his smile reached his eyes once your eyes met and you instantly felt warm inside.
and so thats how your relationship started to form with the marauders. they soon started coming up to talk with you during classes and inviting you to sit with them at meals when they noticed you sitting by yourself.
your favorite though, was when you'd be in the library and remus would ask to sit at your table. he would work with you silently and you'd trade questions about homework back and forth, eventually even recommending books to each other.
you even got so close to them that the boys started including you in the teasing. one specific day, the boys found you and remus reading in the common room together. you were sitting on the ground in front of the coffee table and he was sitting behind you on the couch. the boys came in loud and instantly disrupted the calmness. sirius came bouding over to you and sat across the coffee table on the floor.
"i thought of one for you." he said, slapping his hands on the table. you jumped at the abrupt sound and leaned back on to remus' legs. the boys had been trying to figure out a good nickname for you so you could join their fun nicknames, but you weren't an anigmus like they were so there were lots of options but not of them really were fitting you quite right.
"what is it?" you asked, relaxing against remus' legs.
"flea. its perfect. you're small, quiet and annoying." you gasped and immediately sat up in protest.
"no! thats horrible i don't want to be called a flea, you git!" you exclaimed.
"but it just fits so well, flea. i can't deny how perfect it is for you." you started to protest, but a big hand stopped you. the hand, from remus, wrapped around your shoulder and guided you back to his legs, scooching you to between his legs and under him. his hands grabbed your shoulders and started to work there, massaging your tight shoulders.
"we're not calling her flea." remus insisted. you shivered and you hoped he thought it was from his hands and not his commanding voice. james then spoke up.
"what about hoppers?" you tilted your head and looked up at remus to hear his response, not protesting that one.
"she sure is as cute as a bunny and the size of one too. i vote yes." he said, looking down into your face. james nodded his head and sirius huffed.
"i still like flea better but hoppers will do when you don't annoy me, flea." sirius grumbled. you rolled your eyes and relaxed into remus' touch more, your eyes closing. unbeknownst to you, his small smile grew as he continued to massage your shoulders.

Meat - May 24 - word count: 269 - @wolfstarmicrofic
It was almost too good to be true.
Sirius liked him back.
Remus knew that this was going to be some sort of… temporary arrangement, as much as it pained him to admit.
After all, Sirius was- well, he was everything. He could have anything and anyone he wanted, so why would he settle for Remus, of all people?
He was just a half-blooded werewolf freak, always the odd one in a group. He was nothing like Sirius’s past flings, who were wealthy and beautiful and always looked at Sirius with the utmost admiration.
Well, he could offer love and care, of course. But everything else? No way.
Eventually, Sirius would understand.
Remus wasn’t good enough.
The worst part, though? He didn’t mind, at all. Sirius could treat him like a piece of meat, for all he cared.
The thing was that he’d take whatever Sirius wanted to give, whether that be love or hate or mere indifference.
It wasn’t healthy, he knew that.
However, Remus also knew that the time was slowly running out.
The timer had started ticking the moment a black-haired boy had stumbled into his compartment in first year.
Their friendship was inevitable.
So was their slow-motion trainwreck of a relationship.
No one else noticed.
They just laughed and called the two of them a cute couple.
Sirius always agreed, but… what if he didn’t mean it?
Remus just didn’t want to be left behind, to be forgotten in the dust as Sirius went to someone new, prettier, better.
He would take a footnote if it meant he would still have a place in Sirius’s life.

poly!marauders x gn!reader ♡ 981 words
Though James typically prefers you with no clothes on, he does think you look pretty cute in his big t-shirt. He bunches the fabric in his hands as he comes up behind you, setting his head on your shoulder.
“What’re you doing?” you ask, smiling at him through a mouthful of toothpaste.
He gazes at you in the mirror. “Just admiring the view.”
“Oi,” Sirius elbows him, hands wet with whatever product in his billion-step skincare routine he’s currently rubbing into his face. His hair is scraped back into a bun to keep it out of the way. (James loves it when he wears it like that.) “Quit stealing my lines, Potter.”
James doesn’t even need to speak; he knows the best way to rile Sirius right now doesn’t involve words. He grabs his dark-haired boyfriend by the chin, landing a smacker right on his cheek.
Sirius shouts just as James pulls back, grimacing.
“Fuck, Pads, what’s in that shit?” he wipes his mouth on his sleeve, getting rid of any remaining product from Sirius’ face. “Have you poisoned me?”
“Serves you right,” Sirius shoots back. “Everyone else knows better than to mess with my routine. I hope you are poisoned for contaminating my skin like that.”
James looks about for support, but you only roll your eyes, spitting into the sink.
“Don’t wish poisoning upon people, love,” Remus says mildly from the bedroom, and it’s not much, but James seizes upon it. He sends Sirius a triumphant look.
“I only wanted kisses, Moons,” he whines, padding into the bedroom and laying himself pitifully across Remus’ lap. “You get it, don’t you?”
Remus smiles, bending to press his lips to James’. “Merlin, Sirius,” he says teasingly, “you really don’t know what you’re missing.”
James chases him for more, propping himself up on his elbow and keeping Remus close with a hand at the nape of his neck.
It doesn’t take long before Sirius is rushing out, his skincare routine apparently finished for the night as he chases you into the bedroom. James and Remus both stop to watch the spectacle as he grabs you around the waist, dipping you low and kissing you passionately. You make a sound of muffled surprise against his lips, breaking away after a second.
“Sirius!” You laugh, flustered. “You cannot just attack me because you’re jealous! I won’t be a pawn in your game.”
Sirius puts on a show of hurt, straightening you but keeping his hands steadfastly around your waist. “You’re not a pawn, baby. You’re the best piece on the board.”
You let out a loud, barking laugh at that, extricating yourself from his hold. “That’s really awful,” you tell him, stepping backwards towards the bed. “If you think James is stealing your lines, you need to come up with some better material.”
Sirius’ mouth drops open, and James snickers.
You sit down on the bed and launch into your nightly routine of demolishing your joints, twisting around to coax painful-sounding cracking noises from your back, and Remus moves away from James to begin his nightly routine of trying to foil you, taking your shoulders in his hands before you can rotate your spine in the other direction.
“Quit that,” he says, looking at you severely.
You nod, but no sooner does Remus remove his hands from you than you’re contorting your back again, eliciting a series of popping noises that makes James wonder whether you might’ve broken something.
Remus shakes his head at you, disappointed but not necessarily surprised. “I’m going to kill you,” he promises.
You grin. “You’re all talk.”
You’re nearly as bad as Sirius when you get like this, but Remus knows just how to handle you, wrestling you flat onto the bed and laying down atop you. He toys with your hair lazily, a little smirk tugging at his lips.
“Are you ready to wind down?” he asks you placidly.
You’re laughing, squirming feebly underneath his weight, and James can’t help but chuckle, grabbing one of your hands by the wrist when you try to pinch at Remus’ side.
“Traitor,” you say to him.
“I take no sides,” he replies easily. “Sorry, angel.”
“Darling,” Remus hums lazily, getting your attention again. “Are you ready to go to sleep?”
You roll your eyes and sigh greatly, but nod. Remus doesn’t let you off that easily this time, though, passing you immediately to Sirius, who tugs you tight to his front, your nose squishing into his cheek as he peppers your face with kisses.
“Oh, I see,” James says, getting into the opposite side of the bed. “So they can touch your face, but I can’t, huh?”
“Anyone can, once the product has dried,” Sirius says cooly, settling down with one final kiss to the tip of your nose. “Your mistake was jumping the gun, Potter.”
“Can we be done with this?” you ask. “Remus is tired.”
“Don’t use him as your scapegoat,” Sirius says, but peers over you to see Remus anyway, a tiny bit of worry in the squint of his eyes. “You’re not tired, are you Moons?”
“Only the normal amount,” Remus says, eyes already closed.
James coos, touching his lips to the high point of Remus’ cheekbone, just beside a jagged scar.
“Poor boy, we’re tormenting him,” he says lightly, and Sirius rolls his eyes but quiets down.
For a good, long while, it’s silent. James watches the light in the room change as cars drive past, their headlights filtering through the curtains. The breathing around him becomes slower, more even. His own body relaxes into the mattress, eyelids drooping as he starts to give into that sweet, soft heaviness that waits just past the threshold of sleep.
He hears a quiet rustling of sheets, and then a loud cracking sound comes from your side of the bed.
A low voice. “Don’t make me come over there.”

Helloooo mrs. carina!!!!! Hope you’re having the happiest of 2ks :))) I’ve been trying to summon up the best idea I could possibly think of these past few days for you and I’ve realized I have quite a dry imagination😭 but this is what I’ve thinked up
I’d like to request an analyze for Remus x ballerina reader… I think he especially would respect the control a ballerina would have over their body (not to be angsty but it would of course something he envies considering his situation)
mrs. carina?? thinking up creative ideas specifically for me??? oh darling you are the SWEETEST, thank you so much for this little gift<333 giving you a HUGE forehead smooch
✶・•・✦・•・✶・✶・•・✦・•・✶
i will ANALYSE remus lupin x ballerina!reader
carina's 2k celebration
✶・•・✦・•・✶・✶・•・✦・•・✶
cw: gn!reader, remus' mental health issues, implied reader mild mental health struggles, lycanthropy/chronic pain
remus lupin is a studious lover – once he falls for someone, he notices everything about them, down to the very details
with a ballerina!reader, this would include seeing ballet in everything they do
he is drawn to elegance and precision in an almost religious sense, viewing it as something holy and greater-than that he doesn't quite deserve to witness yet selfishly chooses to watch anyway
remus would notice how you flex your fingers a certain way, how you always position your feet as if you are about to dance
he sees the tension in your shoulders and thighs from practice, he sees how it went when you come back from it based on the minuscule tightenings around your lips and eyes
it would make him all the more infatuated
as if he is unearthing a treasure, peeling back the petals of a rose
remus in love always feels like he is holding something delicate and ballerina!reader would both prove him right and wrong
they would show him their elegance but also their inherent strength
he hates feeling as if he needs to be taken care of in any way, but butterflies would be going crazy in his stomach if you ever displayed that strength by opening a heavy door for him on a cane-day or by picking up the mountain of books from the library with ease
it is what would prompt him to start calling you dove – you're graceful and gorgeous, but highly intelligent and practical
there would definitely be a certain envy within remus regarding the precise control you exercised over your own body
not anything he held against you, more so against himself, comparing himself in ways that simply are not necessary or realistic
this applies both in terms of his lycanthropy and chronic illness in a muggle au
the envy is especially strong pre-relationship when he is admiring you from afar and it feels as if you have everything pieced together so perfectly
it is only when he gets closer to you and sees more of the immense pressures you are under and how you're both physically and metaphorically shaking beneath it, that he realises how much of a facade it really is
to see that it doesn't come easy to you either simultaneously heals something within him and encourages him to be even sweeter to you
you might have been concerned that remus realising that it doesn't come easy to you would ruin your "appeal" – that he wouldn't find you as mesmerising if he knew you had to fight for your achievments
but in reality, this is what would cement his affections as love
remus adores elegance and perfection, but he trusts the humanity behind it all, the chaos within
if he thought you flawless, he would likely never be able to feel entirely comfortable in your presence, as if he couldn't rest in the presence of a deity
with this new knowledge, he would still consider you perfect, though, because – as cliche as it might sound – you were perfect to him and something for him to worship
but now he could hold you in his arms and be assured that you were human
which meant you could be his
if you chose to continue pursuing ballet professionally, remus would be your biggest cheerleader
not to mention your biggest anchor, ensuring that you're checking in on your body and not neglecting your health
"you'll not get there faster if you overextend your knees, dove"
"they don't give out medals for dancing on broken ankles, my love"
he would come to your recitals, your auditions, would get the ritual down to a t for you
in a muggle au, i often picture him working within healthcare and he would use all of his tips and tricks on you
though, if you were to only keep doing ballet as a hobby or even retire, he would hold your hand through the process and support you in whatever you may need
he knows what it is like to grieve your body's capabilities, so if you one day couldn't continue anymore, he would help you navigate the pain gently
he would be the shoulder for you to cry on and the partner who explored new hobbies and passions with you
again, healing a part of himself through you
remus lupin would fall in love with ballerina!reader in school while admiring your elegance and grace from afar, but he would stay for the dove he found in your heart to cultivate a life with

Bickering (lovingly)
regulus black x potter!reader
note: an edit of luke and lorelai cane on my fyp and they are so reggie x potter!reader coded!!
word count: 1.3 k
warnings: eating, lightest black brother angst
Tumblr media
Regulus made his way up the stairs to the Gryffindor dorms in search of his bag that his darling girlfriends had been using since her bag was being used for some special prank. But the weekend was up and Regulus needed his bag back for classes tomorrow,
He knocked on the door, Y/n had told him there was no need, but it was a habit instilled into him from an infant so he still did, James opened the door with a cheerful look which dropped when he noticed who was there, “Ugh, Y/n, your boyfriend’s here!”
The door was opened wider for him, he saw his brother and his boyfriend on a bed, Peter on his, James once again getting comfortable at the desk and Y/n coming out of the bathroom.
“Hey, hun.” “Hi. Do you have my bag?” Regulus was usually short with his words around other people, he only got really chatty alone with her, then she couldn’t get him to shut up sometimes; not that she ever wanted to.
“..Yeah, it’s here, but I was gonna ask to use it for a couple more days…” “No, I need it. You have your own bag” “It’s being used for prank supplies.”
She handed the bag over, all her things still in it when Regulus looked.
“Could you take your stuff out, love?”
“I have nowhere to put them, that’s why I need the bag.” “But I need you to take your stuff out because it’s my bag and I need it.”
“But I don’t have a bag for my books tomorrow.”
“You have your own bag.”
“It’s being used for prank supplies, that’s why I asked for a couple more days..”
“But I need my bag.”
“But I don’t have a bag for my books tomorrow.”
“You have your own bag.”
“It’s being used for prank supplies, that’s why I asked for a couple more days..”
“We’ve been here before.”
“I recognise that tree.”
“Good! Why don’t you shut up now!”
-
Sat across from each other on the sofa, Y/n had been waiting weeks for a moment to watch a movie alone with Regulus, her family got a muggle TV a couple years ago after Remus explained it to her dad and he said they ‘needed’ it.
What they were watching was one of her favourites and she loved watching movies with people that have never seen them, before something big she would sneak a look at Regulus to catch his reaction.
“Stop doing that.” He sat with his arms crossed, her legs rested over his lap under their blanket.
“Shh! No talking.” That made him roll his eyes, lovingly of course, it was always lovingly.
“Then stop doing that.”
“Doing what?”
“Looking at me.”
“What? I can’t just look at you? Admire my very very pretty boyfriend?”
“Not during movies.” Y/n gasped and her jaw dropped comically.
-
It was Christmas, everyone decided to stay at Hogwarts for their last year (plus Regulus)
Owls came flying down the table with letters between their talons, it was about a week before Christmas day so not many letters came, but funnily enough Regulus got one, at first Y/b was worried but seeing the small smile on his face she knew it was nothing bad. They sat next to each other at the gryffindor table along with the marauders.
“Guess where I got a letter from.” “God?”
He didn’t even flinch at her dry comments anymore.
“London…” He said, giving a hint, naïvely assuming she would guess.
“God lives in London?!”
“Your mother lives in London.”
“My mother is God! Mmm so God is a woman.. And my mom, that is so cool! This will make asking for favours so much easier.”
“Why do I even try with you… Your mother asked me if I-”
-
Reaching for the syrup and putting it back after drowning her waffle, Y/n gets back to what she was complaining about.
“I’m sick, I have a cold, I can’t go to classes today.”
Only after finish chewing his eggs does Regulus reply to his girlfriend, “Do you know what would help get rid of a cold?” “You cuddling me all day?”
“Eww!” “I’m eating here, goldie!”
“A good immune system. Do you know how you get a good immune system?”
“Endless vague questioning from one’s boyfriend first thing in the morning?”
“From not eating crap for breakfast. Would it kill you to eat a protein?”
“Remember when you hated me? That was fun wasn’t it?”
-
A lazy sunday was one of Y/n’s favourite moments to spend with Regulus, the boys would be off doing something, and the couple had all day together.
At the moment the two were reading ‘Emma’ together, with Y/n reading aloud and as always Regulus listened to every word to come from her mouth.
“What’d you think?” Between each chapter they would talk about their thoughts, Y/n is so thankful for a boyfriend who likes books just as much as her.
“I think that the bump on your nose is my favourite feature of yours.” He traced her nose bridge with his delicate ring finger.
From a young age Y/n hated her nose, her best friend growing up was the perfect cookie cutter ideal, with blonde hair and blue eyes and a little button nose. She didn’t have any of those things, she was not the standard.
Yet Regulus never failed to make her feel loved, like she was the most gorgeous girl and Regulus is lucky for even a second of her time, in his own words.
“I love you.”
“I love you too, darling.”
-
“Why’re you so grumpy?”
Regulus and Y/n had agreed to meet at the muggle library in Hogsmeade so when Regulus saw his girlfriend angrily stomping out of the store empty handed he knew something was up, she never left the library empty handed. She was looking at the librarian through the window in what she thought was a discreet fashion.
“I’ve been exiled. For what feels like an eternity.”
“How long are you suspended from your book borrowing activities?”
“A month.”
“C’mon, love, that’s not too long,”
“Four Hogsmeade trips I cannot take books home. And for that he must die!”
“You’re not going to kill the librarian.”
“Why not?”
“It’s free library card day, everyone will be livid with you.”
-
It was James and Y/n’s birthday, she got up before James of course but not before her parents and Regulus who were all gathered in the kitchen.
The girl sleepily walked in leaning on her boyfriend to support herself, when she finally opened her eyes she saw a display of oreos spelling out ‘happy birthday James and Y/n!’
“Awww mom! This is so cute! Thank you!”
“Hold on, how’d you know it was your mother's work and not mine or Regulus’?”
“Because only mom would take the time.”
After the thank yous, Monty went back into his office and Effie went to set the dining table. Y/n got up on the bar stool and sat next to the boy, taking a cookie to eat, only to get up and go to the pantry to get the box and replace the cookie she ate on the table.
“What did you just do?”
“What?”
“You put the cookie down.”
“Yeah.”
“You ate the cookie then you took a cookie out of the box and put it down where the cookie you just ate was.” She made little actions as if retracing her steps as the black-haired boy went on.
“Yeah!”
“Well.. That’s nuts.”
“My mom made this for me, I don't want to ruin it, and not before James can see it.”
“Then why eat the cookie?”
“Because I wanted an oreo.”
“Then why didn't you just eat out of the box?”
“Because this one was close and the box was all the way in the cabinet.”
“But you had to go into the cabinet to get the box to replace the cookie you ate.”
“So?”
“So that’s nuts.”

The Other Side -
Marauders x Reader
Tumblr media
1.8k words
Summary: You were Voldemort’s loyal soldier. You were born into this life, never having known any different. What happens when the Marauders show you that you can break free to to the other side?
—This was inspired by the song from The Greatest Showman obvsss (I actually love that movie so much omg)
Part 2 is already out!! I hope you enjoy🫶🫶
———————————————————————
From a young age, your parents had made sure you would stay absolutely loyal to them. They were suffocatingly strict and controlled every aspect of your life. Friends had to be approved by them, boyfriends were hand-picked, and of course, your beliefs came solely from them. They were completely and totally loyal to Voldemort, believing he would make them powerful once he won the wizarding war.
That’s why your parents offered you to Voldemort. You were your parents’ token of loyalty. Because of this, you grew to be one of Voldemort’s closest inner circle members.
But recently, something was starting to feel off. The stronger the connection you had to Voldemort and other death eaters, the more you started to secretly resent the life you lived. This feeling was new to you. For 18 years, you had no qualms about the life you lived. You treated yourself as a soldier for the dark lord; you were his hands. But this foreign feeling of doubt was growing harder and harder to ignore.
As you got ready for a death eater’s meeting, you couldn’t help but feel a giddy nervousness. You had received word from your parents that Voldemort himself would be sending you on a highly important mission. It sent a slight shiver of excitement down your spine. Being chosen out of anyone else always felt good, regardless of the uncertainty you were starting to feel about your own life.
You made your way down the stairs of your childhood home, and into the dining room where most of the death eaters were already gathered. You took shaky steps to your seat in between Lucius Malfoy and Severus Snape. You weren’t particularly close with either man, but knew them both relatively well.
The meeting started as Voldemort stood, carefully eyeing every member in the room. He held an air of superiority that could have only come from the total loyalty practically oozing out of the people sitting around you. His eyes stopped on you, narrowing slightly. Your breath caught for just a moment, before a small grin grew on his face.
“Y/n,” Voldemort said slowly, as if committing a name he’d known for 18 years fully into his memory. You sat up straighter, and made tentative eye contact with him. “Yes my lord?” You managed to speak without your voice shaking, which you were grateful for.
“As you may have heard, I have a mission especially designed for you. The Order has been… quite a pest recently. They are one problem that I could quite easily live without. I want you to stake out a particular group of The Order- I’m sure you know of them. The marauders I believe they’ve coined themselves?”
The tension in the room was palpable. Peter Pettigrew looked down at his lap, fidgeting with his fingers. You knew that he had once been close with the other marauders, been one of them.
Severus also looked mildly uncomfortable. He had been holding a vendetta against the marauders for as long as you could remember.
Voldemort continued, “You will learn the marauders’ schedules. You will learn where they eat, drink, sleep, you name it. We will use this information to plan an attack and get rid of them.”
Your blood ran cold. Kill the marauders? You had known James, Sirius, and Remus back at Hogwarts. They were pranksters, but never a particularly bad group of people. You had even admired them from afar on a few occasions. None of them were exactly hard on the eyes…
But that didn’t matter. You were just tasked with murdering them. That thought made a sort of panic claw its way through you. The air was starting to feel suffocating, and you knew you needed to leave. You were practically zoned out for the rest of the meeting, and quickly left the table once it was appropriate to do so. You ran up to your room after assuring you had made it out of anyone’s eyesight. Taking a quick breath, you apparated to a muggle bar you had found on a previous mission. It was a dark and run down place. It certainly wouldn’t have been your first choice, but you knew that no other death eaters would find themself there. As you walked in, you were greeted by the bartender and sat down quietly.
“Whiskey on the rocks.”
He nodded and got to making your drink. A few seconds later, you heard the drink being set down, you grabbed it and turned in your seat as you thanked him.
Looking around the bar, you could see only a handful of patrons. An older couple sat in one of the nearby booths, adorned with leather cushions that had certainly seen better days. Another group was made up of men in their early 20s, around your age. They sat at a dark wood table that matched the sticky floors. You couldn’t fully make out their features, as it was pretty dark inside of the bar.
You continued to watch the small amount of customers present, but found yourself particularly interested in the group of men. The way they joked and shoved each other stirred something inside of you. A small part of you had wanted a group of friends like that, people that you felt truly comfortable with. You pushed away the thought quickly. It was no use pining for something you’d never have.
Turning back around, you took a long sip of your drink. It left a pleasant burning feeling down your throat, something to distract you from the awful mission you were being sent on. A deep voice came from across the bar. It looked as though one of the men you had been watching earlier was ordering another round for his group. You took the opportunity to get a better look at his features. You squinted slightly, then let out a quiet gasp: the long and shaggy black hair, leather jacket, band tee, and pale but perfect skin could only belong to one person.
You swerved to look at the rest of his group. It now became apparent that there was a tall boy with shaggy brown hair, and another with curly black hair and glasses. Shit. The fucking marauders were at the same bar as you. What if they decided to avada kedavra you right here? All they’d need to do is obliviate the muggles once they were done. The Order would probably throw them a party for doing so.
You hunched in your seat to appear smaller and waited until Sirius walked back to his table. Then, you left money on the bar and started to walk out. You could’ve sworn you heard your name being called faintly. That made your heart speed up. No. No. No. Your pace picked up, you needed to find a secluded area to apparate back to your home.
Hurried footsteps could be heard behind you, getting louder and louder. Shit. You really didn’t want to die today. You glanced nervously over your shoulder, only to be met with a determined looking James Potter. He always was the most athletic out of his friends, and he had no problem keeping up with you. Your saving grace came in the form of an alley across the street. Without wasting time by checking if cars were approaching, you sprinted across the street. Horns sounded behind you, but you paid them no mind.
The alley welcomed you into its steadying darkness as you spotted a large dumpster to hide behind. You took your wand out with shaky hands. You had let yourself breath a quick sigh of relief, before multiple pairs of footsteps sounded uncomfortably close to you, startling you so much that you dropped your wand. You searched the ground desperately, but the darkness of the alley and your frantic movements made the task impossible.
Right as you felt the cool wood of your wand, a large hand roughly grabbed your shoulder. You let out a shriek, causing another hand to cover your mouth. You continued to thrash and scream, but physical fighting had never been your strength- wand magic was what you relied on. Eventually, you decided to go limp. The grip on you loosened slightly, giving you the opportunity to spring away and turn to face the marauders. James stood slightly in front of them, signaling that he had been the one to grab you.
“Leave me the fuck alone and maybe the dark lord will spare you.” you spat, deciding that going on the defensive and making threats you weren’t so sure were believable was your best course of action.
Remus stepped forward slowly while putting his hands up as a peace offering,“Woah, we’re not looking for trouble.”
You scoffed, “Yeah? Just out for a friendly chat then I suppose.”
Remus sighed, “It’s Y/n, right?” You gave a reluctant nod. “Look, to be honest, we could have already killed you. You’re a known death eater.”
That one statement created a flash of panic in you. You went to reach for your wand before James stepped closer to you. Remus quickly stepped in again, “But we didn’t kill you, in fact, we haven’t hurt you at all. So, if you want to stay unhurt, why don’t you hand your wand over to James here?”
Your breathing became heavier. Giving up your wand would leave you completely and totally vulnerable. You wanted to refuse, but Sirius had at some point taken out his own wand and pointed it at you.
“I would listen to him, love. I’m not sure if you’ve noticed, but you’re a bit outnumbered here.”
Sirius’ words did little to stir anything in you. It was then that you decided you didn’t care what the point of the marauders stopping you was. It couldn’t be anything good for you. Therefore, you would fight your way out or die trying. You swiftly drew your wand and muttered, “Incendio.”
The space between you and the marauders was now covered by flames. This was the only way you could escape. You turned and ran down the alley as fast as you could. Muttered curses could be heard behind you, and a swift water charm put out the fire you had created. Seconds later, you heard Sirius yell, “Immobulus!”
All of your limbs seized suddenly, and you fell harshly to the floor of the alley. You felt a strong sense of embarrassment as the three men came closer, which was quickly overridden by fear. James crouched down next to you with an almost pitying look on his face. “Sorry about this,” you almost questioned what he was doing, before he held up a glass with a familiar dark purple potion: sleeping drought. He brought the bottle to your lips and pinched your nose closed. You glared at him, cursing all three of them in your mind. You wanted to scream, claw at him, fight back. But you were immobilized and running out of air. You mustered all of the wrath you could into a single look before gasping in a breath and consequently drinking the potion. You could have sworn you saw an almost sad look cross James’ face before the darkness consumed you.
